- 0:00Oh, did we start yet? Yeah.
- 0:02Oh, oops. I was going to say, where's the
- 0:04time? Where do you see the time?
- 0:05I thought. You were going to give me a
- 0:05secret because. Every time I like try to look,
- 0:08when I see you look, I never see the time right there.
- 0:11Recording, guys, we've been recording for 11 seconds.
- 0:13Oh my. God 14 Hey, hey, it's it's us
- 0:20again. It's good to see you again.
- 0:22I know it's it's been a bit we. We didn't miss last week's
- 0:28episode. Guys, there was no Thursday last
- 0:31week, Isn't that crazy? Time is just a construct, it is
- 0:34all made-up anyway. So what?
- 0:36The last Thursday had never happened.
- 0:37No, because we had that weird universe jump on Wednesday.
- 0:40There was the Was it the Mercury's retrograde?
- 0:44Yes, and then the strawberry moon.
- 0:46That's, that's right. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 0:47So this is technically the following episode the week
- 0:52after. Yeah, welcome to episode 59 of
- 0:54The Daily BJ. I'm Jerry and I'm Brian and
- 0:59we're back. We're back.
- 1:01We're better than ever. We're so tired, guys.
- 1:05They kept us from you. I want to go to sleep.
- 1:07They kept us from you. They helped me back.
- 1:10It's really bad. We missed you.
- 1:13Hope we did good. Yeah, I hope you've learned
- 1:17something fun. Yeah.
- 1:19What have you been up to? Life has been.
- 1:22Yeah, we'll wait. We'll wait for you to take.
- 1:23It Yeah. Go ahead.
- 1:24Go ahead. What What have you been up to?
- 1:26Enough of us talking. Whoa.
- 1:29That's Oh my God, that's so surprising it's crazy.
- 1:32I don't know. You were so talented.
- 1:33Yeah, I didn't. I didn't know you could do that.
- 1:36That's so cool. Wow.
- 1:39Yesterday. No way.
- 1:43That's insane. I I can't believe you had to go
- 1:45through that as. Well, yeah, I'm.
- 1:46I'm going to judge you a little bit.
- 1:48That's kind of weird. I'll, I'll support you.
- 1:52Good for you. No, I'm I'm going to have to
- 1:55leave you behind. It's fine with a child.
- 1:59No child left behind. That I'm moving on good guys.
- 2:03This has been an insane two weeks.
- 2:05We've been busy travelling. We've been travelling, which is
- 2:07crazy. For me it was for work, so it's
- 2:10not like I mean it was fun in the moment, but it was not fun
- 2:14planned. Travel.
- 2:15Yeah. I get you.
- 2:16I get you. It was.
- 2:17It was professional trouble. I know.
- 2:20Where did you go? I went up to the state capital
- 2:24of Sacramento. I don't know if you guys have
- 2:26ever been there. So many things up there, so many
- 2:29buildings. It doesn't ring a bell.
- 2:30Never heard of? It wow well, I saw the capital.
- 2:34What letter AW for white big white building up there.
- 2:41It's really big. I don't know if you guys ever
- 2:44been up there, but it's both big and small and sometimes that's
- 2:50all that matters. Nothing.
- 2:51To say sometimes just right. That's so cool friend.
- 2:56Not to cut you off but I also I travel to Reno which is
- 2:59technically N from US. I don't think I've ever in my
- 3:02life been to Reno, NV. Reno, NV.
- 3:05It sounds weird coming off the tongue because I've been to Las
- 3:08Vegas, NV. You've been to Las Vegas, NV.
- 3:10Real familiar with Las Vegas, NV.
- 3:13But I had a really good time. Good.
- 3:16There was obviously some some downtime and caught a baseball
- 3:20game, saw the Mexico game at that minor league stadium.
- 3:23Jerry had a way more adventure filled.
- 3:26It was a little trip than I did. Literally one night, One night
- 3:29from that trip made that whole entire trip.
- 3:31One night is all it takes. Falling in love with me.
- 3:35Found some buildings. I don't know what's on that.
- 3:38One, it's Dua Lipa misses Dua Lipa misses Dua Peep.
- 3:42She got married. Guys love that for her.
- 3:44That's crazy. It should have been me.
- 3:47You're married. OK, OK.
- 3:53We ended up watching a minor league game, but it was on the
- 3:55same day that Mexico was playing and the stadium had the like the
- 4:00big screen outside of the stadium set up in their lawn or
- 4:04their lawn was set up for the Mexico game.
- 4:06So you don't have to go inside the game, which I mean tickets
- 4:09were like what 10 bucks like? For a baseball game for.
- 4:11Minor League Baseball game. Really nice stadium by the way,
- 4:15in the middle of like the downtown area, but outside.
- 4:18We stayed outside. We didn't even go in yet.
- 4:19The game was like 30 minutes before the actual baseball game
- 4:22started and it was just just rasa everywhere.
- 4:25It was so cool. Everyone with their lawn chairs,
- 4:28with their beers, with their with their Michi cups.
- 4:31And. Everything was like closed in
- 4:34families. The most wholesome thing that we
- 4:37saw was just it was like this whole set up in the lawn and
- 4:40then on the far right hand side there was like a makeshift
- 4:42little soccer field and just kids.
- 4:45For the Chamacos. Kids just playing soccer like a
- 4:48little pick up game of just a minimum like 50 kids all running
- 4:53all ages just not a fucking iPad insight, no phones just playing
- 4:58soccer and they were all just chasing the ball like all
- 5:00together in big little in a in a big group just.
- 5:03Boys being boys. It was boys, it was girls, it
- 5:07was everyone. It was so wholesome.
- 5:09Oh Jerry does another meme, I'll explain it.
- 5:11Later, I'm sorry. It's OK.
- 5:14So then the Mexico game started. We saw it and like yeah, it was
- 5:18a super lit. We went inside, we saw some
- 5:20game, we saw some of the baseball game and then came back
- 5:24out, finished the Mexico game, celebrated.
- 5:26So cool. Dang 2 Sports at 1:00.
- 5:28Right, dude. And they gave you a wristband so
- 5:29you could just go in and out because like they know they had
- 5:31they were hosting that event outside.
- 5:34And then we saw we finished the baseball game.
- 5:36We saw a couple home runs. It was a really intense game.
- 5:40The biggest part of that dude was I've never caught a
- 5:43baseball. I've never received like
- 5:45received anything from a baseball game.
- 5:47Yes, it's a minor league game. Yes, it's a smaller stadium.
- 5:50But after the game ended, I like ran over to the dugout on one
- 5:55side where there was this one kid.
- 5:57And as soon as I was getting there, there was this player in
- 5:59the dugout that just threw the kid a ball.
- 6:02And I was like, excuse me, is there one more?
- 6:04Oh my God, it does not know that.
- 6:06He turns around and then he just like grabs 1 from 1 of like a
- 6:09bin. He just throws it and I'm like
- 6:11thanks dude. That was the first like ball
- 6:13I've ever received at a. Touched by a baseball.
- 6:16Player yeah and it has like a like a scuff on it 'cause it was
- 6:19like used in the game. So that was already like a plus.
- 6:23And then after that one of the people that we were travelling
- 6:28with like they're very, very, very like well versed in like
- 6:32what to do, how to get signatures, where to go and he
- 6:35was like cold. We got to go this way we got to
- 6:37get like we're going to go get signatures.
- 6:38I'm like what? So we went to the we exited the
- 6:41stadium, went to the outside of where the players come out.
- 6:44The bus was already there waiting for them.
- 6:47There was already like a couple people waiting behind the rails,
- 6:50but I mean they weren't like you could have easily crossed.
- 6:53Jerry could take them. And we went, I went right up,
- 6:57right next to that door where they players come out.
- 6:59And the first player that came out was the Oscar Hernandez,
- 7:02which is a current Major League player who's currently who's
- 7:06rehabbing with the minor league team.
- 7:09Oh, 'cause they were also playing the OKC comments, which
- 7:11is the Dodgers minor league team.
- 7:15He came out and we were the first people he interacted with
- 7:19and he took pictures with us and he signed all of our baseballs
- 7:21all over. Like he was so wholesome, dude.
- 7:24Like, and, and I already had that image of him of just being
- 7:26like that older veteran in the league who's just super nice.
- 7:31And he signed everyone's, he took pictures of everyone.
- 7:34He signed everyone's like merchandise and, and things.
- 7:37And yeah, he was just like all smiles.
- 7:40And he went into the bus and that was already like the
- 7:42highlight. Long story short, we stayed
- 7:45there for a couple like at 2 hours, maybe an hour 2 hours.
- 7:48Ended up getting 10 signatures of just multiple players but
- 7:52some some pretty cool names like it was it was pretty awesome.
- 7:56I love that for you, friend. That's so cute.
- 7:57That was like really wholesome and it really I was I was like
- 8:00living in my like childhood dream of like, wow, this is this
- 8:04is pretty cool. Oh, never let your dreams be
- 8:06dreams, even if you're in your late 20s.
- 8:14That's cute friend. I love that.
- 8:16That sounds amazing friend. All I got from my trip up to
- 8:19Sacramento was chub rub. My eyes were so chaved.
- 8:25We did so much walking and it was like 95°.
- 8:28Disgusting. Yeah, saw Old Town Sacramento
- 8:31for the first time. It's really cute.
- 8:33Nothing I write home about but it was really cute.
- 8:37But back back on the sports guys, you're meeting me at the
- 8:41most sporty time of my life. I've learned so much about
- 8:47different sports that I had 0 interest in three or four months
- 8:51before this. I was even telling my mom on the
- 8:53phone today, like, Oh yeah, I was watching the game.
- 8:55You were watching the game. Like, yeah, I was.
- 8:59It was good. This is a new me mom.
- 9:02Now I know what's happening. Yep, I know the rules, I'm able
- 9:06to call when someone is offside. Wow and I was telling Jerry
- 9:10yesterday like I grew up going to my brother's soccer games.
- 9:13Did I watch? No, I was walking my little ass
- 9:15over to the torta lady. Buying my $3 torta.
- 9:19Amazing. Sitting down playing Pokémon.
- 9:21I did. I was in a soccer team.
- 9:23I lasted 2 weeks because I would have to hit my inhaler and I was
- 9:30like mom I can't this is too uncomfortable.
- 9:32And she was like, OK, Miko, you tried.
- 9:33Yeah, I mean you, you did it two weeks more than someone who
- 9:36never did. Exactly.
- 9:38Someone give me my medal. Yeah, give me my.
- 9:40You tried. You literally are and always
- 9:43have been a sports guy that. Was a Jerry saying but I don't
- 9:47believe. It there's pictures that Brian
- 9:49showed me from I don't know, maybe 10/12/15 years ago.
- 9:55I was like 20. I was maybe 20/19/2018.
- 9:59Yeah. I mean, a Mexico jersey with my
- 10:00dad, a soccer jersey knows where that ended up.
- 10:05All I got to say, another case, another, another evidence, a
- 10:08piece of evidence to the straight allegations.
- 10:11OK, I don't like that Pride may be over, but I'm gay my whole
- 10:16life. Happy Pride Month Part 2 and
- 10:20we're going into July. We are going into.
- 10:22Breaking news? Yeah, guys, when you guys are
- 10:26here listening with us, it's July 2nd.
- 10:28It's July 2nd. Welcome to Pride Part 2.
- 10:31We're taking over July. We're continuing the
- 10:33shenanigans. We're continuing the agenda.
- 10:36You can pick up your cards at the front office.
- 10:39They are rainbow colored. Are they closed on Sundays?
- 10:42No, because the party never stopped. seven-year LGBT.
- 10:47Oh, if there's no bread, there's no pride.
- 10:51Oh. That's that I have heard.
- 10:54You're welcome. That I have heard.
- 10:56I've been keeping the straights. Culture now is there is there
- 11:02like a limousine or a bus that you take from one club to the.
- 11:05Other no you walk. Unfortunately it's power walk.
- 11:08You walk at like a a level 8 speed.
- 11:12So just because you were subject to walking in Sacramento, now
- 11:14you're subjecting everyone else to walk and chase their thighs?
- 11:17OK, but you get there so fast because we do not walk slow.
- 11:20Unless you're my friend Joe Everyone else.
- 11:24Wants a purpose. Leave us slow walkers alone.
- 11:27No, no. When you got places to be and
- 11:29you're gay, you're you're there. You.
- 11:30Got to take some time to just enjoy the scenery.
- 11:32No, because the scenery is where you're is the destination.
- 11:36The scenery is the destination. You're going somewhere to look
- 11:39at something real good. But what about the friends and
- 11:41the journey that you make? They're already at the party and
- 11:44you're running late and that's why you run fast.
- 11:47But what about the birds? Jerry, don't try to police me
- 11:50during Pride Month Part 2. Pride Month 2.0.
- 11:56Pride Month Part 2. Pride harder.
- 11:58Pride Harder 2.0 Yeah. Wow, it's been an eventful week.
- 12:03It feels nice being back on the mic.
- 12:05Yeah. I feel like so much has
- 12:06happened, but then at the same time, I can't tell you anything
- 12:09that's happened 'cause I can barely tell you what I ate this
- 12:12morning. Same.
- 12:13Oh, I have one more thing. Fuck.
- 12:15And I. And I was gonna keep this to
- 12:16myself. Oh.
- 12:17You guys are getting an exclusive?
- 12:19I was gonna keep this to myself, but I think I passed that point
- 12:25of no return and I'm able to talk about it pretty openly now.
- 12:28OK, Brian, I haven't drink coffee in 05 days.
- 12:32Friend, Oh my God and I hired A barista for today.
- 12:35It that's who that is. I, I, they're just kind of just
- 12:38in. The chair in the corner, yeah.
- 12:40They don't even have the material set up.
- 12:41Or no, they're just going to watch for a bit.
- 12:43Oh, OK, and he's a barista. So he said it was in the bio.
- 12:48OK, this is one of the skills. Thank you, Mark.
- 12:52His name text says Jeffrey. Oh, shit.
- 12:56Anyways, yeah, dude, it's how are you feeling?
- 13:00I feel fine now. The first couple days were
- 13:03pretty bad. So the first couple days of of
- 13:05no coffee were in Reno. Whoa.
- 13:08Like right before that I was like, OK, like obviously spoke
- 13:11to Dulce. We were like, yeah, we were
- 13:12going to do some. We're trying to hit some goals.
- 13:15One of the biggest things that I've noticed is just the
- 13:18dependence obviously on caffeine.
- 13:20I am open to accepting that that I'm addicted to caffeine, coffee
- 13:26specifically. Oh, I can drink coffee all day
- 13:29if I could. Yeah, multiple times a day
- 13:31easily, which is fine. It's not fine.
- 13:35But long term, like, you know, what are some things that I've
- 13:38noticed that hey, this this isn't normal specifically in the
- 13:42mornings like the cough attacks and stuff like.
- 13:45Is that stopped? It I think it's improved a
- 13:47little bit. It's only been a couple days,
- 13:49but I've noticed a difference. Maybe it's all mental too, like
- 13:52who fucking knows? Yeah, tea.
- 13:54Tea, which is the current substitute, has some caffeine
- 13:57so, but just not as much. Severely limited your amount of.
- 14:01Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So I didn't just cold Turkey.
- 14:04I I think that's to me a little bit impossible.
- 14:07Asking for a migraine. So the first day I had a fucking
- 14:11headache. It was wild.
- 14:12Like it. It's crazy how the body just
- 14:13recognizes like, hey, you haven't kept coffee today.
- 14:15Fuck you and then it just punches you in the head.
- 14:18Teas been a good little replacement, a substitute for
- 14:21it, and I did try like this mushroom that.
- 14:24Just sounds gross. Alternative, it's like it's a
- 14:29it's a Chai mushroom cacao mixture that you do with hot
- 14:33water and it has like it doesn't taste like coffee this.
- 14:36Is no. Properties or tastes like
- 14:37chocolate Chai it's supposed to be healthier and it has some
- 14:42caffeine also but just like coffee itself I drink black
- 14:45coffee doesn't have as much caffeine as like triple shot
- 14:49express espresso with sugar and all this other stuff but.
- 14:53Jerry with his Venti Americano. Yes, with an extra shot, it's
- 14:57just, it's just water and espresso.
- 14:58But at that point, once again just.
- 15:00I've tried to limit it and I think it's been working and I
- 15:02feel great. That's amazing, I love that for
- 15:04you. I don't know if I'd be able to
- 15:06commit to that, so props to you dude.
- 15:09It's I think it was like a mental thing too, because my
- 15:13whole thing is just like the ritual of either brewing,
- 15:16brewing a, a, a pot of coffee, serving it and then sitting
- 15:19down, drinking it, whatever, do something.
- 15:21And there was just that motion that I think my mind craves,
- 15:25aside from the coffee. When you do it for so long, like
- 15:28years at this point, that's just, it's your routine.
- 15:30It's hard to break from that and.
- 15:31That routine is like been solidified since college, since
- 15:362017. So that was the first time I
- 15:39like started drinking heavy coffee.
- 15:41I was. Just having this conversation
- 15:42with Alexa, like, 'cause I don't remember when I started coffee
- 15:49or I don't remember having coffee anytime before college,
- 15:52late college. And then it just got worse when
- 15:55I started working in like an office.
- 15:58Like even when I worked retail before, like I wasn't getting
- 16:00coffee in the morning. Yeah, now it's mandatory.
- 16:05Maybe you're on to something, friend.
- 16:06You're inspiring. It's it's just been it's been a
- 16:08long time. And like I said, I think I've
- 16:10noticed maybe like the the the that acity after effect because
- 16:15it's like. Yeah, How's your stomach?
- 16:16Burning your stomach lining and everything because it's so
- 16:18acity. I think it's just a cough
- 16:20attacks in the morning that like I was like, it could be the
- 16:23deviated septum that's just like trickling nasal fluid down my
- 16:26throat and. Stuff.
- 16:27I mean, that sounds like a really good like that.
- 16:29That's also a really good one, but like, why not just target
- 16:32one thing that I can control over a surgery that I will
- 16:35inevitably get? I could fix your septum.
- 16:37Yeah, Yeah, sure. Yeah, we could.
- 16:38We maybe Jeffrey can or Mark, whatever his name is Mark
- 16:41Jeffrey is, is that in his resume?
- 16:44He knows how to insert a couple things I don't.
- 16:46I don't know if it's to that level.
- 16:48OK, maybe not then. No, he's better at other tools.
- 16:53I can't wait to hear all about that after I leave.
- 16:56From the second hand, like once he tells it to me.
- 16:59I'll talk to you. You'll tell me.
- 17:00Yeah. So, yeah, so that's been fun.
- 17:03I think now I'm putting my little black tea, which has
- 17:07caffeine, a higher percentage of caffeine compared to other teas,
- 17:11less than coffee. Put in a little packet in hot
- 17:13water and then just like stirring it and then just
- 17:15sipping on that. It's been cool, it's been nice.
- 17:16Oh my God, Speaking of tea, I've been craving a green tea shot.
- 17:20That's random. Sorry but you just reminded me
- 17:23and I feel like I should have one soon.
- 17:25OK, a cold one or like an actual like little green?
- 17:28Tea. No the a green tea shot.
- 17:30It's like alcohol, Jerry. You're so sheltered.
- 17:35I love that I'm showing you the world.
- 17:36I'm like, you're just going to. Like, take a shot of green tea.
- 17:39Green tea. I want to make that for you
- 17:40right now. You just drink it, Mark Green
- 17:42tea. Mark will take 2 green tea
- 17:44shots. I was like, is this like one of
- 17:46those like immunity shots that you buy at like Walgreens or
- 17:51Ralphs and stuff? No, a green tea shot.
- 17:53Like I'm so good at the bar. What is it like?
- 17:56What even is that? I don't know.
- 17:58I saw, I saw. Someone make one the other day
- 18:01on TikTok. Green tea shot.
- 18:03It's a mix of a bunch of things and it looks really good.
- 18:06That's the first thing that comes up.
- 18:07Not even green tea as a green tea green tea shot, I'm telling
- 18:09you. It's a shooter.
- 18:11It's a light, obviously light green, blah blah blah.
- 18:12It's equal parts Irish whiskey pig.
- 18:15You love whips Sour mix. I love shaking with ice topped
- 18:20with a splash of lemon lime soda.
- 18:21Oh, I can totally. Do that?
- 18:22Sounds delicious. I can do that.
- 18:23For you, we should have had 1 today.
- 18:25Why aren't we, Mark? OK, get to work.
- 18:29We're going to start taking shots.
- 18:30No, No, we're not. We're not.
- 18:31We're not. We're not Unless.
- 18:33Unless. No, no, we can't.
- 18:35We can't be weekly drinkers. Unless.
- 18:39ECC. You guys will never know because
- 18:42we won't tell you. Anyways, Brian, I have a
- 18:45question for you. I've been dying to ask you this
- 18:47whole week because it's only been a week and it's Thursday.
- 18:53What's been haunting you this week?
- 18:54I'm so glad you asked because it's been sitting on me heavy.
- 18:59It's not really haunted me, it's just it's piqued my interest
- 19:03right now. Really popular movie Backrooms
- 19:07and Backrooms reminds me Vegas and then Vegas that makes me
- 19:11think underground tunnels. And then the underground tunnels
- 19:15reminded me of bunkers. So when I put all of that
- 19:17together in Google, I found out that there's an underground
- 19:21mansion in Las Vegas. What?
- 19:24Yes, like a like a like a mansion, like a Luigi's Haunted
- 19:27Mansion? Well.
- 19:29I have a couple questions for you first.
- 19:30OK, OK, let's answer those first.
- 19:32How long could you survive underground?
- 19:35A few minutes? Hours.
- 19:40What if you had an entire kitchen, a few bedrooms, a
- 19:45backyard and a pool all underground?
- 19:50Well, if you have a few $1,000,000 lying around, you
- 19:54could find out. Located in the Las Vegas
- 19:57suburbs, an entire mansion exists 25 feet underground.
- 20:02Was that the? Question.
- 20:04Those are the questions I was asking you that you didn't have
- 20:06to answer there. Before I was so ready to answer
- 20:08them. And you?
- 20:08Kept going. I did hold my breath.
- 20:09And then you didn't. I was thinking I'm like, OK, let
- 20:12me like, let me ask follow up questions.
- 20:14And then you just kept going. OK.
- 20:16Well I have AI have a question. OK, that you can answer.
- 20:19OK, I was about to say that. Can you, Jerry, if someone
- 20:22handed you the keys to an underground house for free,
- 20:26would you move in? Yes, do for free, no mortgage
- 20:29payment. Yeah, yeah, underground.
- 20:32That's that's fine. Singular rule is you can't
- 20:34leave. Like, I can't leave at all.
- 20:37Nope. Like I'm just stuck, stuck
- 20:38underground. Can I bring people with me?
- 20:40Nope. It's just you.
- 20:42Oh, no, I would die, right? Yeah, I would die.
- 20:45OK, to give you some background on the House, let's take a
- 20:47little tour. This underground house is
- 20:50equipped with 12 foot ceilings, using a combination of murals
- 20:56and lights to make it seem as though you're living above
- 20:58ground. OK, that.
- 20:59Let's see how that would help. Yeah, the.
- 21:01System works together to simulate a normal day night
- 21:03cycle. The 6000 square foot luxury
- 21:08compound has a large open floor plan living space, 3 bedrooms, 4
- 21:14bathrooms and an underground backyard with a pool lined by
- 21:20fake palm trees. OK, I need to see a picture of
- 21:23that or something because it doesn't work in my mind.
- 21:27It also has a sauna, a wet bar, a dance floor, a BBQ grill,
- 21:33remember underground and seating for up to 120 people.
- 21:38And this wonderful family home could be yours for the price of
- 21:41$5.9 million. So it's currently on the market.
- 21:44Yeah, per Zillow, it is on the market.
- 21:46Let me show you some pictures. I need to see some pictures
- 21:48cause like how do you get there? This is the backyard.
- 21:52That's why underground those are.
- 21:56I'm guessing those are the support beams that are made into
- 21:59trees. Dude that looks crazy.
- 22:02This is all underground. There's an actual house above
- 22:04ground that just looks like your stereotypical neighborhood
- 22:07house. That leads into this one.
- 22:08That leads into this one. Let me pull up even more
- 22:11pictures just so you fully understand.
- 22:13I'm going to buy what this looks like so I can just live in that
- 22:15top house and then. That's the entrance like carved
- 22:19into like a. Rock literally looks like a cave
- 22:22entrance. That's the kitchen.
- 22:25Looks a little medical, a little dated, a little medical grade.
- 22:28Living room. Living room's cool.
- 22:32A lot of the outdoor ones. Oh, oh, I got hold.
- 22:37Jerry saw something and this just to give you the feel.
- 22:41That's that's what's beautiful house looks like.
- 22:43Beautiful bathroom. Love the postmodern classical
- 22:49retro. Yeah, retro is a keyword.
- 22:53Do you think you could eventually forget that you're
- 22:54underground, or do you think your mind would always know?
- 22:58I mean, if there was a light system that's set up to change
- 23:01with a normal day night cycle, yeah, I think, I think you would
- 23:04get accustomed to that. What do you think you'd miss the
- 23:06most from the above ground world?
- 23:10Taco Bell? Oh my God, you're so right.
- 23:14I was thinking, you know, whether the wind.
- 23:17Fresh air, being able to go to the park and something, play
- 23:20baseball or base. But you got a backyard.
- 23:21You got about? Yeah, you have.
- 23:22Palm trees and a pool. Yeah, that's not a problem.
- 23:26If you look at the listing photos, which Jerry just did, it
- 23:30honestly looks like a sitcom set.
- 23:32It does. There's a few reasons why I
- 23:35think that. The first being it has this kind
- 23:38of uncanny valley feel like it's it's kind of eerie.
- 23:43It could be the decor. It was built in the 1970s and it
- 23:47definitely looks like it was. I don't know how difficult it is
- 23:51to get permits for underground construction or remodeling, so
- 23:56maybe that's why it's still kind of frozen in time.
- 23:59Either way, it's kind of funky looking.
- 24:02Second is the lighting. I know you said that with the
- 24:04lighting, it might help you live underground and the lights are
- 24:09set to change the temperature, their brightness throughout the
- 24:11day to mimic what time it is above ground.
- 24:13But to me it looks so fake. It looks like a set.
- 24:17Yeah, I can see that. And you know what?
- 24:19It reminds me of the in Las Vegas, that mall with a painted
- 24:23sky. That's right.
- 24:24But you see, but in there you lose touch of reality, like you
- 24:28don't know what time it is outside.
- 24:29Like I feel like you would just fall into that, like secrets of
- 24:33just being. Plus when you're in that mall
- 24:36it's only daytime. Exactly.
- 24:39Maybe the photos don't do it justice and being there in
- 24:41person makes the effect believable, but based on the
- 24:44pictures alone I think I feel a little claustrophobic.
- 24:47OK. I think if you are like more of
- 24:49that you subject to claustrophobia or just feeling
- 24:52trapped, I don't think that. I don't think that's a place.
- 24:54For you, No. It reminds me of Chuck e Like
- 24:55being in the Chuck E Cheese. Like being in the Chuck E Oh,
- 24:57that's good. Like being in the Chuck E Oh,

- 40:05What? That building is massive.
- 40:07Which added even more fuel to the rumors of construction
- 40:10worker deaths. Some details are hard to fully
- 40:13verify, but the stories never disappeared.
- 40:16What really gave the Luxor its reputation were the deaths that
- 40:19actually were recorded over the years.
- 40:21So we're going to get into some deaths.
- 40:23Oh, trigger warning, people warning.
- 40:27The Morbid Travel Guide article points out that the Luxor has
- 40:30seen an unusually high amount of tragedy due to multiple
- 40:33suicides, accidental falls, murders, and unexplained deaths.
- 40:39I think this pyramid has genuinely dark history attached
- 40:42to it. One of the first major reported
- 40:45incidents happened in 1996, when a woman Whatever.
- 40:49So you're was born. That's so scary. 1996 When Brian
- 40:52was born, a woman jumped from the 26th floor of the hotel
- 40:56atrium. Because a Luxor is designed like
- 40:59a pyramid with open interior balconies, these falls happen
- 41:03inside the building where guests can actually witness them.
- 41:06Oh no. There were also reports of
- 41:10another guest falling from the 10th floor under mysterious
- 41:13circumstances and several other deaths tied to violence and
- 41:16accidents over the years. One of the strangest cases
- 41:20happened in 2007, when Brian was 11.
- 41:25I think I did that so fast in my head.
- 41:26Someone faced me when a Luxor employee named and I'm going to
- 41:31butcher this Willibaldo Dorante Antonio.
- 41:35We leave Aldo. Was killed by a homemade bomb
- 41:40hidden under a cup on his car. What?
- 41:42So I'm going to be a pipe bomb and just like.
- 41:44Put it in his car. Like, I think outside his car,
- 41:46yeah, in a cup. Oh, I wonder if he was targeted.
- 41:49Sounds targeted news outlets at the time compared to the
- 41:52investigation to an episode of CSI because the whole thing
- 41:55sounded so bizarre. Then there was the death of
- 41:59UNLV's football player Demario Reynolds after a fight inside
- 42:03the hotel, a murder in the lobby involving a casino employee, and
- 42:09even a Legionnaire's disease case tied to the property in
- 42:122000. And. 12 What was Legionnaire's
- 42:14disease? I had to search that up because
- 42:16I had no idea what that meant. It's basically a severe form of
- 42:19pneumonia that can be fatal in around 5 to 30% of cases.
- 42:23Whoa. Specifically elderly people and
- 42:26or anyone with respiratory problems.
- 42:28Oh my God, that's so sad. It spreads by breathing in
- 42:31contaminated mist or vapor, usually from water systems or
- 42:35air conditioning, not necessarily from person to
- 42:37person contact. What so?
- 42:40So if it's in the hotel, it's in the hotel?
- 42:42Yep, it's in the walls. Symptoms can include high fever,
- 42:45chills, coughing, muscle aches and it can take anywhere from 2
- 42:47to 14 days before symptoms. Either here OK COVID.
- 42:50Thank you. Imagine staying at a giant
- 42:52pyramid casino in Vegas and leaving with an ancient curse or
- 42:57bacterial. Pneumonia.
- 42:59Oh my God, the jokes right themselves.
- 43:01Either way, not exactly the souvenir you were looking for.
- 43:06Guests and employees have reported hearing whispers and
- 43:09empty hallways, seeing shadow figures move around corners and
- 43:13feeling sudden cold spots throughout the building, all
- 43:15indicators of paranormal activity.
- 43:18Or just good AC in certain parts or pneumonia traveling through
- 43:21the pipes. Some visitors claim elevator
- 43:25stop on random floors for no reason, which I find terrifying
- 43:29If you're in an elevator. Multiple floors without clicking
- 43:33any buttons and it stops. Nope.
- 43:35I'm done. I'm pressing that call help
- 43:38button. Get Me Out of here.
- 43:39It's like the doors are open, you can exit.
- 43:42No. Help me.
- 43:43Bring the ladder. Others say certain sections of
- 43:48the hotel feel heavy the second they walk into them.
- 43:51But the story that gets repeated constantly is the blonde woman
- 43:55on the 12th floor. I hope she's a vixen.
- 44:01Multiple guests claim they've seen a blonde woman standing
- 44:03near their bed or walking the hallway before disappearing
- 44:06completely. Some people staying on upper
- 44:09floors described waking up unable to breathe or feeling
- 44:12pressure on their chest in the middle of the night.
- 44:15They're also stories tied to the Titanic exhibit that opened
- 44:19inside the Luxor years ago. Since the exhibit contains real
- 44:22artifacts recovered from the wreckage, no paranormal
- 44:26believers think some of that energy came with it.
- 44:29They're. Mixing everything together, they
- 44:31said we got disease, we got haunted artifacts, we got really
- 44:34good AC. Yeah, in a pyramid.
- 44:38Next there's going to be like, I mean plagues already there,
- 44:41bugs. Yep, it's going to be bugs.
- 44:42Let's hope not get your get your refund.
- 44:45Bed bugs? Yeah please.
- 44:47Everything else you can live with but bed bugs.
- 44:50No, don't take it with you. Full reimbursement and a free
- 44:52night somewhere else is somewhere else at the.
- 44:55Link Hotel down the street. Visitors have reported shadow
- 45:00figures, the feeling of being followed and strange experiences
- 45:04around the replica staircase display of the Titanic.
- 45:08And then there's a pyramid theory.
- 45:11Some paranormal believers claim pyramid structures can trap or
- 45:15amplify energy, almost like giant spiritual batteries.
- 45:19Whether that's real or not, people claim the Luxor
- 45:22definitely feels different from most hotels on the Strip.
- 45:25The angled hallways, the dark interior, the massive open
- 45:29atrium already make the place feel slightly surreal before you
- 45:32even get into the ghost stories. Yeah, that is a weird shape for
- 45:36a hotel. I've never walked into the
- 45:39Luxor, I've passed by it multiple.
- 45:41Times. That's like way down there.
- 45:42Yeah, it's like when you're first coming in.
- 45:44No, like it's, it's even super cool.
- 45:47Never got the chance to go into it.
- 45:48And so I want to now like, I mean, I, I doubt if that Titanic
- 45:53exhibit is still there, but if it what if it isn't?
- 45:57I might check it out with the EMF reader.
- 46:00Right and just take it around the the item, see if it goes
- 46:03off. Now I did look at some Reddit
- 46:07stories because why not? There's a lot of people
- 46:10describing the hotel as feeling heavy and dark, 1 user commented
- 46:14They felt uneasy the entire time they stayed there.
- 46:17Another described hearing voices and feeling dizzy near the upper
- 46:20balconies overlooking the atrium.
- 46:23Now, obviously, skeptics would say Vegas is full of exhausted
- 46:26tourists, alcohol, gambling addictions, sleep deprivation
- 46:30and old buildings making normal noises.
- 46:33True, which is fair. But the Luxor has become one of
- 46:36the most talked about haunted hotels in Las Vegas, and it's
- 46:40far from the only one. The Flamingo has ghost stories
- 46:43tied to the mob history and Bugsy Siegel.
- 46:47I want to get into that eventually.
- 46:50The former MGM Grand, now the Horseshoe Las Vegas, still
- 46:54carries A tragic history of the 1980 fire that killed dozens of
- 46:58people. Dang, this is all my list of
- 46:59stuff to research to friend. These are deep dives.
- 47:02Like there was so much on this, but I'm like, no, just one thing
- 47:05at a time. We need to go to Vegas and then
- 47:08discuss next trip. But we stay at these.
- 47:11Places I'm down, I'm not a spit of room.
- 47:14It'll probably. I'm assuming it'll be Jeep, but.
- 47:17Yeah, it has to be. And then I think if we sign up
- 47:19for the reward system and stuff, they'll be offering.
- 47:22Yeah, and at the end it doesn't matter because no one sleeps in
- 47:25Vegas anyway. We could just go and walk
- 47:27through the hotel. A day trip we just sleep in the
- 47:32car in the parking lot in the underground bunker where the
- 47:36Teslas are. Exactly.
- 47:37And I don't have a Tesla. Just making that clear.
- 47:42Downtown's El Cortez has also built a reputation for
- 47:46paranormal activity because of its mob connections and decades
- 47:49of strange reports from guests and employees.
- 47:53I think Vegas is the perfect setting for stories like this.
- 47:56People go there during the highest and lowest moments of
- 47:58their lives. People get married and divorced
- 48:01there. Yeah, people win and lose life
- 48:03changing money, sometimes celebrating the greatest night
- 48:06of their life while another person is questioning every
- 48:09decision they've ever made at that slot machine 5 feet away.
- 48:12You're right. You're so right.
- 48:14Me when I lose my 20 bucks because I put it on red.
- 48:16Oh. Damn.
- 48:17It was black or vice versa. Whatever, I'm over it.
- 48:21No, I'm not. That kind of energy probably
- 48:25sticks around after a while. Residual energy now before we
- 48:31end this segment, I found the Last Vegas detail that felt too
- 48:34perfect, not to mention, OK, at least when I was in Reno, there
- 48:38was in downtown Reno, which was really nice.
- 48:41If you've never been there's some hotels in that main one of
- 48:45the main streets and what's right across the street, a pawn
- 48:48shop. And I started talking about I'm
- 48:51like, how many people do you think just go to the pawn shop,
- 48:54pawn there, I don't know, wedding ring, their watch,
- 48:56anything, any jewelry, get a quick loan and then lose it all.
- 49:00And then there goes, they're fucked predatories.
- 49:05They know what they're doing. But yeah, just like the history
- 49:08behind the items in there. I did find a journal.
- 49:11According to the Las Vegas Review Journal, pawn shops in
- 49:15Vegas constantly get flooded with jewelry and luxury watches.
- 49:19Which makes complete sense, because I guarantee there's
- 49:21someone every weekend staring at their Rolex after a rough
- 49:24blackjack session thinking, well, this might cover the
- 49:27flight home. Oh my God, you're I didn't even
- 49:30think of that. I just thought as like an
- 49:32attempt to win everything back. Yeah, that was my obvious 1 and
- 49:35I'm like, dude, people probably like end up pawning their stuff
- 49:38to get back home 'cause they lost everything so.
- 49:40Whoa, you blew my mind with that one.
- 49:43That's how pawn shops get their designer bags, their
- 49:45collectibles, musical instruments, and all kinds of
- 49:48expensive random items brought in regularly.
- 49:51Because in Las Vegas, it only takes one terrible night for
- 49:53somebody to go from High Roller to asking if pawn shop takes
- 49:57gold chains and emotional damage.
- 49:59Sorry, my mind is, is I'm already developing our travel
- 50:03plan. We need to go to Vegas.
- 50:05We're going to stop at the pawn shops and we're just going to
- 50:07talk to the people working there.
- 50:08Like, hey, what are the vibes of people coming in?
- 50:11Yeah. They're just like, are you going
- 50:13to buy anything or like we buy one item for one story.
- 50:16Yeah. And I know there is like at
- 50:17least this was from Las Vegas. So I, I know there's like other
- 50:20places in Nevada that I'm sure have their own stories, but I, I
- 50:26want to say that like all that energy and emotional, the
- 50:30baggage like is seen at in Las Vegas in this trip.
- 50:34And because that's where people go, you know, I don't think of
- 50:36Nevada and think of Reno, unfortunately, I think of Las
- 50:39Vegas. Time also means nothing.
- 50:41Like we're us in the in the spooky network are thinking, Oh
- 50:47my God, witching hour 3:00 AM that means nothing.
- 50:50No, people are up 24 hours of the day just in That cycle keeps
- 50:56going when you're right, highs and lows, that's just happening
- 51:00within 5 feet of each other. What's what?
- 51:03What is it called? The city that never takes naps?
- 51:05City that never sleeps the. City that's never EP.
- 51:09Nope, never EP. It's too bright to be EP.
- 51:11And those lights are on. It's crazy.
- 51:14I just lose sense of reality when you're in there.
- 51:16Sense of time, Yeah, they did such a good job.
- 51:20You never lose the smell of smoke that even in non-smoking
- 51:25rooms or hotel. Gent through the walls, through
- 51:27the AC systems. That's the plague inside the
- 51:30hotel. That's.
- 51:31That's the the. The Legionnaire.
- 51:33That's the Legionnaire. If I've ever seen one, no.
- 51:36You know what else I thought was hilarious?
- 51:39Reading some of these comments, like for the Luxor.
- 51:41Like on Reddit or just stories and people just talking should
- 51:45be like, hey, what? Isn't that just carbon monoxide
- 51:47poisoning, like hallucinating things?
- 51:49And because, yeah, I mean, a huge building like that, like
- 51:52imagine like all the the the codes that they might be
- 51:55violating or just it's an old hotel.
- 51:57So, you know, these systems that haven't been updated or changed,
- 52:00like leaks happen. I don't know.
- 52:03Dude my hotel that I stayed up in Sacramento is a nice hotel
- 52:06like my work put they they spent some money on a nice hotel.
- 52:09Why is the little area around the ice machine and the water
- 52:12dispenser fully flooded? Oh my.
- 52:15You walk over and it's squish squish squish.
- 52:18Not just like damp the carpet. It's wet.
- 52:20Like fully just wet. Soaked in wet carpet.
- 52:23Yep, that's gross. And the water in the walls.
- 52:26Just think I'm assuming the walls.
- 52:27Just think of all the the What's it got in the mold?
- 52:30I don't want to legionnaire Legionnaires.
- 52:35Disease can happen anywhere. That's so wild, that was the
- 52:38first time I've heard of this. But so many cool recorded
- 52:40deaths. I mean, I wouldn't doubt.
- 52:42Cool recorded deaths is a wild statement.
- 52:44OK, so many interesting recorded deaths, we'll say we'll keep
- 52:48that one in. But it does make you think about
- 52:52the the rumor about the construction workers. 19 What
- 52:55did I say? 1980 something no?
- 52:561990 it was open, Yeah. 1993, early 90s, sure there was health
- 53:02codes and OSHA was around and stuff, but I mean, did you ever
- 53:06wonder like a year? Like like a little over a year.
- 53:09Hire hotel, Yeah. You don't think they would hide
- 53:11stuff because think? About like, if they did, if
- 53:13someone did tragically die, wouldn't they shut down the
- 53:16operation? Yeah, but money, money, money.
- 53:19Money makes the world go round. So they're not stopping for one
- 53:22lost life. Allegedly.
- 53:24Allegedly. We don't know.
- 53:26It's not confirmed, but also if there's no one there to confirm
- 53:30that it happened or to say, oh, this person, I know them
- 53:34personally. Wow, so spooky.
- 53:39Las Vegas. Ah, scary.
- 53:41Yeah, I did try to look for. A paranormal tour?
- 53:46There's none there is. But not having a car was awful
- 53:51difficult. I found one in in Sacramento.
- 53:55But I wasn't able to make it in time.
- 53:58It's OK. It wasn't meant to be whatever
- 53:59reason early. Whatever reason, like the two
- 54:02potential tours that we could have taken at separate times
- 54:07fell through, or they just didn't happen for a reason.
- 54:09Yeah, we're meant to do them together, Jerry.
- 54:11We're meant to. Have a good time It it wouldn't
- 54:12make sense like hey guys, this is the daily.
- 54:14Jay Yeah, well, I'm just going to listen to Jerry's Spooky.
- 54:17Story. Yeah, and then Brian's like
- 54:18recording his half. Like, hey, this is a daily bee.
- 54:22I mean, it's if we. Both do something and then we
- 54:24combine them together. That makes sense.
- 54:25But if you went on a Honda Tour and I just sat in my hotel room
- 54:29staring at the wall, that that would have been lame.
- 54:31Yeah. I'm still in my room reporting.
- 54:34This is Ryan. Oh, I imagine what Jerry's
- 54:37doing. Right now he's in a haunted
- 54:39building. He just got grazed by a ghost
- 54:41and he has three scratch marks on his back.
- 54:43I'm like, ah, just. Running down the hallway.
- 54:47scooby-doo soundtrack. Ah oh, in other news, I know
- 54:52I've mentioned the user Lucero from Tiktok that does like those
- 54:58funny like ghost paranormal videos and cleansings.
- 55:03If I've mentioned that you'd have to listen to like maybe two
- 55:05or three episodes before. But his his content just makes
- 55:10my day. It's so funny.
- 55:11He's such a a visionaire on that same legionnaire word.
- 55:17No, he had. He does not have Legionnaire
- 55:19disease, no. No, no, he's a visionary, yes.
- 55:21That's the word. Because his content is just
- 55:24amazing. It's hilarious.
- 55:25And I commented in one of his posts and not only did he like
- 55:30it, but that comment blew up with like 20 likes.
- 55:34Nice. My friend's famous.
- 55:36Guys it happened, guys it. Happened but yeah, but I also.
- 55:42Remember, you might have. Blown up too.
- 55:43Oh yeah, unrelated. There is also someone I like on
- 55:47TikTok who is always doing little skits where they get in
- 55:51costume. Normally they are like the devil
- 55:55in the woods trying to lure you in.
- 55:57Like, Oh my God, we have a party over here.
- 55:59Come over, we're gonna dance naked around the fire.
- 56:02His name is Joe Hegyes. I don't know how to pronounce
- 56:07that last name, but he posted a video where he's dressed as
- 56:11Marie Antoinette and it showed up on my For You page as soon as
- 56:15it got posted. So I said always loved her
- 56:18mustache because he doesn't shave his mustache and it's part
- 56:21of the character and it's so funny.
- 56:22Yeah, that's currently sitting at 1620 likes.
- 56:26My notifications have been ruined.
- 56:29Dude, I feel you. Do those 20.
- 56:31Likes that have like kept me up these past couple weeks.
- 56:34It's just it, it just changes something.
- 56:36And you know, like we like we did it and keep at it.
- 56:39Jerry, just keep commenting. Anywhere and everywhere.
- 56:41Literally. Literally because.
- 56:44It's it's what we deserve. You know we're funny, but you
- 56:47got noticed by the creator. True, but then again, like his
- 56:50videos might get a couple thousand likes reviews, but
- 56:53still, that's consistency. We don't.
- 56:55We don't get that. That's true.
- 56:56That's true. 20 more likes than I had in any other comments. 20
- 57:01more. Likes than we get on our
- 57:02Instagram posts because people don't follow or like how dare
- 57:05you guys. Not follow us on Instagram
- 57:06daily. BJ at least 20 people think I'm
- 57:08funny. I'm on the comments.
- 57:09Section of Tiktok at least 1000. People think Brian is funny and
- 57:13they like his post. I know, but come listen.
- 57:18Please listen, Like our content on Tiktok and Instagram.
- 57:23And as we've kind of been saying in the last couple episodes, we
- 57:26do have something big coming. It's winter is coming.
- 57:31It's actually summer which is kind of sucks, but pride Part 2
- 57:35as mentioned 2.0. But something's coming.
- 57:37Guys, do you feel it? Look around you this week, I
- 57:41would like to recommend. I feel it coming by the weekend.
- 57:45Just piggybacking off of that statement.
- 57:48I don't know if I recommended it.
- 57:50I. Think I did?
- 57:52No, I did RAP. Yeah.
- 57:53You did. Motionless and White.
- 57:55Yeah. Recommended again if it's that
- 57:56good. Featuring Skylar Grey after
- 57:58hearing it. Guys, Motionless and White has
- 58:02dropped three new songs. They have had three consecutive
- 58:07#1 like they've risen to #1 on the metal charts.
- 58:10Wow that's amazing for them after they drop.
- 58:12So they've had three consecutive.
- 58:14Number one hits topping in like the metal charts and it's been a
- 58:18good chunk of time right since they released.
- 58:19Music. Yes, it's been nothing two
- 58:21years. Wow, so that's good.
- 58:23Happy for them. The July album is almost out.
- 58:27Yeah, I really don't have another song recommendation.
- 58:29Oh, Jerry's going to be so. Rocketo emo?
- 58:33No. Are they emo punk metal?
- 58:37Jerry's going to be so metal in the next couple weeks.
- 58:41I'm excited and he's going to get a buzz cut.
- 58:43Look at that. So I've been told.
- 58:45Look at the. Art on that.
- 58:46Wow. Motionless and white.
- 58:48Some roses. Hanging upside down.
- 58:49So symbolic. Wow.
- 58:51So symbolic of metal. Wow.
- 58:53Yeah, everything. About cutting my hair.
