- 0:01Hey everybody, welcome to the good morning from the Chicken
- 0:04Coop podcast. My name is Kim Johnson and I am
- 0:07a mastermindset coach, creative strategist, and also happened to
- 0:10be a farmer. This is my Chicken coop and I
- 0:12come out here every day to record a podcast.
- 0:15To. Teach distinctions,
- 0:17possibilities, new ways of thinking, and just bring some
- 0:20joy into the world. So welcome to the coop and let's
- 0:23start your day off in a fantastic way.
- 0:28Hey everybody, good morning. You were sitting with me while I
- 0:32am editing, getting my video ready to put up onto YouTube.
- 0:37And I really wanted to share this with everybody because
- 0:41normally this is something that I feel like when you do
- 0:45something different, it always gives you that like uncertainty.
- 0:49You don't know what you're heading into.
- 0:52And this little experiment that I have been doing with YouTube
- 0:56and creating shorts and putting them up there has taught me so
- 1:01much. And I'm on day 17 today.
- 1:03So for the last 17 days, every day, I have committed to putting
- 1:07up a short and not making this as simple as I possibly could.
- 1:13I'm not boosting them. I'm not doing anything out of
- 1:16the ordinary. I'm just saying, hey, you know
- 1:19what? I want to try this.
- 1:21I really want to dive into it and I'm not going to put any
- 1:23pressure on myself. I'm just going to see if I can
- 1:25get into a routine and shoot a little video every day looking
- 1:30for somewhere, you know, 30 seconds or less.
- 1:32I had done them a little bit longer and in the beginning they
- 1:35weren't getting the, the traction that some of the
- 1:38shorter ones were. So I was like, OK, I'll just do
- 1:40shorter ones. Easy peasy.
- 1:42And I, I started to get very intentional and observe a lot
- 1:46when I was doing it. And I can say without a doubt
- 1:51that in the last 17 days now I committed to doing 21 days and
- 1:55I'm going to do it. I'm probably going to go well
- 1:57past the 21 days and see how far I can go because I don't hate
- 2:01it. And that's the first thing in
- 2:03this. I didn't know if I was going to
- 2:05like doing it this much. I didn't know how it was going
- 2:07to go. Yeah, I have the podcast.
- 2:09And I was like, you know, I I really, I really feel like I
- 2:13could do more. My coach has been pushing me to
- 2:16go ahead and say, and yes, I have a coach and he he's been
- 2:19pushing me to say, listen, you know, you want to do this.
- 2:22You've tried hiring people to help you with it and nothing has
- 2:25worked. So do it yourself.
- 2:26Like try it, see if you can get a handle on it.
- 2:29And that's exactly what ended up happening.
- 2:31So I'm getting a handle on it. But unexpected things happened
- 2:35during these last 17 days. One where I felt like my
- 2:39creativity was becoming more and more abundant in ideas.
- 2:45What can I do? How can I do it?
- 2:47I stopped worrying about putting coaching lessons into it in the
- 2:51beginning because it's harder for me to sit there.
- 2:54It's very easy for me to do this, to do a podcast for all of
- 2:57you, but it's harder for me to sit there and figure out how to
- 3:00film this. Like, how would I film this?
- 3:02Would I film myself sitting at the computer?
- 3:04That be more complicated? So I took away the pressure in
- 3:09my own mind and said I'm not doing any of that.
- 3:11I'm just going to do what's around me.
- 3:13So it became about the farm, it became about the dogs, the
- 3:18chickens, things like that in my everyday world that I utilize to
- 3:23make me feel abundant and caring and happy.
- 3:26And that worked. That is working, let me put it
- 3:30that way. I'm letting people into my world
- 3:32a little bit, showing them things.
- 3:35But the more important aspect of that, that has been a defining
- 3:39factor for me is that I felt like my creativity is kicking in
- 3:44in a big way. It's always with me and it's
- 3:46always very abundant. But now it's really starting to
- 3:49kick in and I'm getting different ideas.
- 3:51I can't seem to take a shower without having 4000 thoughts in
- 3:54my head of what I could shoot for additional videos.
- 3:57So I, I encourage you to try something different.
- 4:03Do something that makes you feel a little uncomfortable, but at
- 4:07the same time do it in a way that allows you to be consistent
- 4:11with it. Because this is the big thing.
- 4:13The consistency has really broken down my pattern of just
- 4:18being stuck. And that to me is where the gold
- 4:22is. I can't stress that enough.
- 4:25I feel like we've hit a wall in the beginning and then I was
- 4:30able to break right through it based on just doing something
- 4:33consistent. And what, what are we talking
- 4:36about? We're talking about a little
- 4:37tiny video that is less than, you know, 30 seconds.
- 4:42Come on, that's not a big deal. And even learning how to edit
- 4:46the videos, I was stuck. But then I did some research,
- 4:51asked my ChatGPT what's a software that would work for me
- 4:54based on another software that I liked.
- 4:56It suggested Filmora. I got it, started using it, love
- 5:00it, recommended it to some clients, they're using it, they
- 5:03love it. So I think this all boils down
- 5:06to one thing. When you want something and
- 5:09you're willing to do consistent work for it, it changes the
- 5:13outcome. It changes it so much and it
- 5:16makes it so much more possible. So believe in yourself, believe
- 5:20in what you're doing, give it a chance, but really change
- 5:23something up, Throw it out there, make yourself a little
- 5:25uncomfortable because it really does work.
- 5:28All right, my friends, I hope you have a blessed day and I
- 5:31will see you tomorrow. Bye.
