- 0:00Speaker 1: Meanwhile, President Trump says that the United States is prepared
- 0:03Speaker 1: for more hits on Iran at any time after calling
- 0:06Speaker 1: the retaliatory strikes a love tap.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Trey Yinks joins us now from Israel, Tel Aviv. Hey, Trey,
- 0:13Speaker 2: what's happening?
- 0:15Speaker 3: Yeah, hey guys, good morning. Overnight, Iran launched another attack
- 0:18Speaker 3: in the Gulf, targeting Kuwait with missiles and drones. Sirens
- 0:22Speaker 3: sounded there, forcing people to take shelter. We know the
- 0:26Speaker 3: Kuwaiti foreign ministry called this a violation of the country's sovereignty.
- 0:30Speaker 3: The event came after President Trump indicated on Wednesday the
- 0:33Speaker 3: United States is prepared to strike Iran again when needed.
- 0:38Speaker 4: We took out all of the new equipment that they
- 0:41Speaker 4: tried to build along the Strait of Hormuz. some defensive,
- 0:47Speaker 4: some offensive. We're taking out a lot of ships. They
- 0:49Speaker 4: can't see it because they have no radar because we
- 0:51Speaker 4: blew it up. And we blew up much more than
- 0:53Speaker 4: their radar last night. It was a very heavy attack
- 0:56Speaker 4: last night. And we're prepared to do another one any
- 0:59Speaker 4: time we want.
- 1:02Speaker 3: Reports indicate the United States is ramping up efforts to
- 1:04Speaker 3: export oil through the Strait of Hormuz, getting 18 million
- 1:07Speaker 3: barrels out of the Persian Gulf while escorting 40 commercial
- 1:10Speaker 3: vessels on Tuesday. While the critical waterway remains a source
- 1:14Speaker 3: of regional tension, officials believe the recent U.S. strike further
- 1:17Speaker 3: degraded Iran's ability to threaten the strait. Inside of Iran,
- 1:21Speaker 3: economic pressure is mounting.
- 1:23Speaker 5: U.S.
- 1:23Speaker 3: Treasury Secretary Scott Besson told Fox News, we are telling
- 1:26Speaker 3: friends and foes, do not deal with this evil regime.
- 1:29Speaker 3: The Iranian real continues to deteriorate in value as the
- 1:32Speaker 3: Iranian people are starting to feel the strain.
- 1:36Speaker 6: Look, I'm not in favor of sanctions, but I'm not
- 1:38Speaker 6: in favor of war either, because both have a negative
- 1:41Speaker 6: impact on our lives and drive inflation higher. The only
- 1:44Speaker 6: way the situation can improve is through negotiations, although they
- 1:48Speaker 6: don't seem to support negotiations either.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Here in Israel, officials are warning about the possibility of
- 1:55Speaker 3: Iran attacking the country during the Jewish high holidays.
- 1:59Speaker 5: Guys?
- 2:00Speaker 2: So when we talk about what's getting through the strait, Trey,
- 2:02Speaker 2: I know from Sunday and Monday we had some numbers.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Now they're doing it in terms of how many barrels
- 2:08Speaker 2: are getting through the strait. So roughly, do we know,
- 2:10Speaker 2: has it gotten past 27 ships? I know the goal
- 2:14Speaker 2: would be 100 to 115. That's pre-war levels.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Where are we at, you think?
- 2:20Speaker 3: So reports indicate on Tuesday that 40 commercial vessels were
- 2:23Speaker 3: escorted by the U.S. Navy through this southern route. And
- 2:27Speaker 3: it's very significant. It's getting closer and closer to about
- 2:30Speaker 3: half of the pre-war levels. But the number of barrels
- 2:33Speaker 3: of oil is really the most significant number here. Before
- 2:36Speaker 3: the war started, we were talking about 20 million barrels
- 2:39Speaker 3: of crude oil exported each day. 18 million barrels is
- 2:43Speaker 3: a new record for these escorts that are taking place.
- 2:46Speaker 3: And it undermines the Iranian ability to threaten the Strait
- 2:49Speaker 3: of Hormuz. And this is exactly what the U.S.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Navy wants.
- 2:52Speaker 3: They have the blockade in place. It's being supported by
- 2:55Speaker 3: two aircraft carriers, 12 destroyers. And that new aircraft carrier
- 2:59Speaker 3: that arrived in theater, the USS George Washington, that is
- 3:02Speaker 3: participating in these strikes against Iran. And so there's a
- 3:05Speaker 3: lot of personnel in the area and still 50,000 U.S.
- 3:09Speaker 3: forces deployed across the region to put that parallel military
- 3:12Speaker 3: pressure on Iran with these new economic sanctions in place.
- 3:16Speaker 1: So, Trey, we had heard the last time, about a
- 3:19Speaker 1: month ago, that the administration was using different routes, because
- 3:23Speaker 1: we kept looking at the price of oil, and it
- 3:25Speaker 1: was going down. But it looks like that we hadn't
- 3:28Speaker 1: reached up to, you know, 70 percent of those ships
- 3:30Speaker 1: going through. And the administration was saying that the public
- 3:34Speaker 1: data is different from their internals. What do you know
- 3:37Speaker 1: about that and the different routes they're using to get
- 3:39Speaker 1: those ships?
- 3:42Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly.
- 3:42Speaker 3: They're using this southern route that is further from Iranian territory.
- 3:47Speaker 3: And it doesn't mean that it's not threatened by the Iranians.
- 3:49Speaker 3: They are still trying to target vessels in this area.
- 3:52Speaker 3: But because they have the overwatch of the U.S. Navy
- 3:55Speaker 3: there that is currently stationed in the Gulf of Oman...
- 3:58Speaker 3: They're able to ensure that any sorts of threats that
- 4:01Speaker 3: are targeting these vessels are dealt with. And it's not
- 4:04Speaker 3: a perfect system. There have still been reports of oil
- 4:06Speaker 3: tankers being hit in the Strait of Hormuz. But the
- 4:09Speaker 3: bottom line here is that they're able to export crude oil.
- 4:12Speaker 3: And it's not coming from Iran. It's coming from Gulf allies.
- 4:15Speaker 3: And these countries are going to continue using this southern
- 4:17Speaker 3: route with the help of the U.S.
- 4:19Speaker 5: Navy.
- 4:19Speaker 3: And again, it undercuts the Iranian efforts to try to
- 4:22Speaker 3: close this critical waterway. The president floated the idea of
- 4:25Speaker 3: changing the name of the Strait of Hormuz earlier this week,
- 4:27Speaker 3: and it remains this area of focus, because, at this moment,
- 4:30Speaker 3: there are no talks taking place between the United States
- 4:33Speaker 3: and Iran. And more than six months into this conflict,
- 4:36Speaker 3: the administration has shifted the focus to what will be
- 4:39Speaker 3: this tit-for-tat, this exchange of fire that is expected to
- 4:42Speaker 3: take place in the future, but also the economic pressure
- 4:45Speaker 3: on the Iranian regime. And again, it shows that they
- 4:48Speaker 3: can enforce the naval blockade and allow for Gulf exports
- 4:52Speaker 3: of crude oil not coming from Iran. And that puts
- 4:55Speaker 3: new pressure on regime officials in Tehran because they rely
- 4:57Speaker 3: on their crude oil exports to support the economy.
- 5:01Speaker 1: All right.
- 5:01Speaker 5: Thanks, Troy.
- 5:03Speaker 2: Let's see what's happening. A slow strangulation of their economy
- 5:06Speaker 2: like they've never seen before. Yeah, there's been sanctions before,
- 5:09Speaker 2: but not surrounded by military enforcement.
- 5:13Speaker 1: And the countries that are connected to Iran.
- 5:15Speaker 5: And how much longer will the people live through this without,
- 5:20Speaker 5: you know, an uproar? Because if that were happening in America,
- 5:23Speaker 5: if we were getting squeezed and we had to wait
- 5:25Speaker 5: in lines for gas for hours at 3 in the morning,
- 5:29Speaker 5: can you imagine?
- 5:31Speaker 2: Yeah, but they have no guns and they hang people.
- 5:33Speaker 2: I mean, they hung a woman over the weekend who
- 5:35Speaker 2: took a picture of somebody protesting. They found out who
- 5:38Speaker 2: took the picture and they hung her. So that's what's
- 5:41Speaker 2: keeping everyone at bay. You got two options.
- 5:43Speaker 5: Arm the people, and it.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Could be happening, or unleash the Mossad. They know exactly
- 5:47Speaker 2: where the IRGC is. They know where all the people are.
- 5:49Speaker 2: They've already proven they can take out scientists. Look what
- 5:52Speaker 2: they did early in the war.
- 5:53Speaker 1: But if you want to move things.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Along, Scott Besson's doing a phenomenal job.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Our military's doing awesome.
- 5:58Speaker 2: But how about really unleashing the Mossad to go do
- 6:02Speaker 2: their thing inside that country? And it's to the benefit
- 6:05Speaker 2: of the 80 million that want a shot at freedom.
