Speaker 3: Please pet of the Week and g a good morning

Speaker 3: to you, a happy West Virginia Day.
• 2:41
Speaker 6: Good morning and happy West Virginia Day. We're excited for
• 2:44
Speaker 6: it here at the shelter.
• 2:45
Speaker 3: What you guys do anything special for West Virginia Day
• 2:47
Speaker 3: up at the shelter we are.
• 2:49
Speaker 6: Indeed, so everybody in the building is just twenty dollars
• 2:52
Speaker 6: to adopt all weekend.
• 2:54
Speaker 3: Everybody in the building.
• 2:56
Speaker 6: Well yeah, animals, oh animals.
• 2:59
Speaker 3: Okay, gonna say because I think I think what you
• 3:01
Speaker 3: just described was a vice crime there, so I just
• 3:04
Speaker 3: want to make sure that it's the animals or twenty bucks.
• 3:06
Speaker 3: So you're doing that for West Virginia Day, I think,
• 3:08
Speaker 3: I think that's really cool. As always our adopt me.
• 3:12
Speaker 3: Please put the week's picture posted over on Dave Island

• 3:18
Speaker 3: We got a speaking of West Virginia Day. You told
• 3:21
Speaker 3: me last night in conjunction with that, you got a
• 3:25
Speaker 3: great West Virginia brown dog today by the name of
• 3:28
Speaker 3: Lavender Brown. Tell us about Lavender Brown.
• 3:31
Speaker 6: So, Lavender Brown actually caught my eye at the shelter
• 3:35
Speaker 6: because when she goes out to play in the morning,
• 3:38
Speaker 6: she sits on a trampoline. She does no playing, she's
• 3:40
Speaker 6: sun bathes, and she simply waits to go back inside.
• 3:43
Speaker 3: That's sounds that sounds like my spirit animal. No plenty
• 3:47
  Speaker 3: right there, correct.
• 3:48
Speaker 6: I literally like I just love her. She's what you
• 3:52
Speaker 6: see is what you get with Lavender. She gets along
• 3:55
Speaker 6: great with all other dogs and every person she's ever met. Cats.
• 3:59
Speaker 6: I'm sure would be fine if you take it slow,
• 4:01
Speaker 6: but she just literally could not give a hoot.
• 4:05
Speaker 3: Love it. I love I love this dog already. And
• 4:08
  Speaker 3: how old approximately?
• 4:11
Speaker 6: So she's probably anywhere between like nine ten months old
• 4:14
Speaker 6: to a year and a half. She's print still pretty young,
• 4:18
Speaker 6: but she's not quite a senior yet, right.
• 4:20
Speaker 3: Right, And so I mean we call her a West
• 4:23
Speaker 3: Virginia brown dog, but are there other other characteristics, maybe
• 4:26
Speaker 3: other breeds in there or what or do we know?
• 4:30
Speaker 6: So the crew that she came in with, she actually
• 4:32
Speaker 6: came in with a group of nine I think from
• 4:36
Speaker 6: the South Charleston area, and they all had like a
• 4:39
Speaker 6: hound look about them. There were some that were black
• 4:41
Speaker 6: and white with floppy ears. There were some that were
• 4:45
Speaker 6: brown with really long floppy ears. So I would say
• 4:47
Speaker 6: there's probably hound in her family tree somewhere. But she
• 4:52
Speaker 6: is a textbook definition of a wife. You love brown dog.
• 4:55
Speaker 3: I love her, I love her and is so she
• 4:57
Speaker 3: already ready to go out the door as far as
• 4:59
Speaker 3: the shots and the vaxed and the whole thing, and
• 5:02
Speaker 3: then then the Spade.
• 5:04
Speaker 6: So she's up to date on her vaccine. She hasn't
• 5:06
Speaker 6: been Spade yet, but once she's adopted, she will be
• 5:09
Speaker 6: Spade if you want. She's a great candidate for a
• 5:12
Speaker 6: doggy day out program. So you could check her out
• 5:15
Speaker 6: for the day while you're waiting on her to be said,
• 5:18
Speaker 6: if you do choose to adopt her, even if you
• 5:21
Speaker 6: don't choose to adopt her, you can come and borrow
• 5:23
Speaker 6: her from the shelter for a little bit, hang out
• 5:25
Speaker 6: with her, and bring her back when you're done.
• 5:26
Speaker 3: I mean, she's a from what you told me about
• 5:29
Speaker 3: her disposition, Angie, I think that she would be great
• 5:31
Speaker 3: if you wanted to pick her up tacker, you know,
• 5:34
Speaker 3: on the boulevard for a walk, check her to a
• 5:36
Speaker 3: dog park one of the other parks in the area.
• 5:38
Speaker 3: It sounds like that she'd be an ideal dog for
• 5:39
Speaker 3: that because she if you got other dogs, she gets
• 5:42
Speaker 3: along with other dogs. And you said, you don't know
• 5:44
Speaker 3: about cats, but you don't think cats would probably more
• 5:47
Speaker 3: likely be a problem. And she said she loves kids too.
• 5:50
Speaker 6: Yep, she loves everybody. What we consider like a golden
• 5:54
Speaker 6: ticket dog. And she also seems like the type if
• 5:58
Speaker 6: you wanted to take her, like maybe downcow apple streak
• 6:00
Speaker 6: and an ice cream at Ellen's. I think she would
• 6:02
Speaker 6: sit there right beside you and bask in the.
• 6:04
Speaker 3: Sunlight well and probably lapping your ice cream too. But
• 6:07
Speaker 3: that's okay, Yeah, that's all right.
• 6:08
  Speaker 7: Sure.
• 6:09
Speaker 3: The Dave Allen showing five any Live brought to you
• 6:10
Speaker 3: part by Morgan and Morgan, America's largest injury law firm.
• 6:13
Speaker 3: Let's talk about kittens for a moment.
• 6:15
Speaker 6: You got a lot, Oh, we have so many kittens
• 6:20
  Speaker 6: to what.
• 6:21
Speaker 3: Do you attribute that to? Did you have a lot
• 6:22
Speaker 3: of people bringing them in or what?
• 6:24
  Speaker 5: Uh?
• 6:25
Speaker 6: So, it's what we call kitten season where cats are
• 6:28
Speaker 6: just repopulating a lot in the summertime months. We've had
• 6:33
Speaker 6: a lot of kittens come in sick or injured, and
• 6:35
Speaker 6: obviously we're not going to turn the most vulnerable ones
• 6:38
Speaker 6: that need us away. So we've just taken in a
• 6:41
Speaker 6: lot of sick, vulnerable kittens that you know, maybe they
• 6:44
Speaker 6: didn't have a mom, or maybe they do have a
• 6:46
Speaker 6: mom and they just need some antibiotics, you know, X
• 6:49
Speaker 6: y Z. But the other day somebody actually dropped a
• 6:53
Speaker 6: crate of seventeen kittens by our dumpster, so that shot
• 6:57
Speaker 6: our numbers way high. Yeah, and all of those kittens
• 7:01
Speaker 6: were very sick. We're happy to help them, right, and
• 7:04
Speaker 6: we're glad it was during business hours so that way,
• 7:07
Speaker 6: I was actually the one that stumbled upon them, so
• 7:09
Speaker 6: we're glad that we found them and they didn't have
• 7:11
Speaker 6: to sit in the elements for you know, an extended
• 7:13
Speaker 6: period of time. But yeah, that definitely shot our numbers
• 7:17
  Speaker 6: up as well.
• 7:18
Speaker 3: And uh yeah, and you and I was looking at
• 7:19
Speaker 3: the pictures last night on your Facebook page. You got
• 7:23
Speaker 3: a lot of beautiful, beautiful kittens out there, So if
• 7:26
Speaker 3: you're in the market for a kitten, this would be
• 7:28
Speaker 3: a great time. And I mean all callers, all breeds,
• 7:30
Speaker 3: you got them all up there, Angie.
• 7:32
Speaker 6: Yes, we have so many to choose from, and we
• 7:34
Speaker 6: actually we're so full. We have cats at all of
• 7:37
Speaker 6: our off site locations, which would be the south Ridge
• 7:40
Speaker 6: Pet Coast saying all that's pet Supplies plus and cuts
• 7:43
Speaker 6: and Cats Cafe downtown. So if you can't get to
• 7:46
Speaker 6: the shelter somewhere, you can still adopt one of our cats.
• 7:49
Speaker 3: You got anything you guys out and about anywhere this
• 7:52
  Speaker 3: weekend or anything.
• 7:54
Speaker 6: We're actually gonna head to tays Valley Pet co tomorrow
• 7:56
Speaker 6: between twelve and you know, three or four ish and
• 7:59
Speaker 6: do an adoption event. So if you're in the tays
• 8:01
Speaker 6: Valley area, say hi to us.
• 8:04
Speaker 3: Are you going to be there tomorrow? Will you be
• 8:05
  Speaker 3: over there?
• 8:06
Speaker 6: Oh, I will certainly be there.
• 8:08
Speaker 3: Well, I'll tell you that's my neighborhood. So what's the
• 8:10
Speaker 3: what's the what's the hours again?
• 8:13
Speaker 6: Twelve to like three or four?
• 8:15
Speaker 3: All right, well, expect an appearance by me tomorrow. I'll
• 8:18
  Speaker 3: be there.
• 8:19
  Speaker 6: It sounds a great I'll.
• 8:20
Speaker 3: Stop by all right. What about the overall numbers at
• 8:23
Speaker 3: the shelter still at critical capacity?
• 8:26
Speaker 6: Yep, like I said, and no matter what we do,
• 8:28
Speaker 6: we can't get under five hundred animals in our care.
• 8:31
Speaker 6: So we're still trying our best. But right now I
• 8:35
Speaker 6: think our most critical area is our cast and our
• 8:37
  Speaker 6: adult dogs.
• 8:39
Speaker 3: And even got a hamster, right.
• 8:42
Speaker 6: Yes, he actually got adopted. Okay, but we did have
• 8:46
Speaker 6: a hamster. He actually got adopted the same day he
• 8:48
  Speaker 6: came in.
• 8:49
Speaker 3: So, okay, do you get a lot of I mean,
• 8:51
Speaker 3: because I know in the past we've talked about different animals. Yeah,
• 8:54
Speaker 3: you had a pigs and so on and so forth.
• 8:56
Speaker 3: Do you get a lot of non traditional animals, non dog,
• 9:00
  Speaker 3: non cats?
• 9:02
Speaker 6: So we do get a lot of calls asking if
• 9:04
Speaker 6: we can help with those animals. We try to point
• 9:06
Speaker 6: them in different directions just because our shelter isn't quite
• 9:09
Speaker 6: set up to meet all the means of different critters,
• 9:13
Speaker 6: as I say, so to provide them with the best care.
• 9:17
Speaker 6: We try to, you know, send those guys elsewhere for help,
• 9:21
Speaker 6: but if we absolutely have to, we will take them
• 9:24
Speaker 6: in and you know, network with our rescue partners to
• 9:27
Speaker 6: get them to like the utmost care. So little Peanut
• 9:31
Speaker 6: is one that you know, we had no other choice.
• 9:33
Speaker 3: But today, yeah, well I'm glad he got adopted. I'm
• 9:37
Speaker 3: glad he got adopted. We had a text to the
• 9:39
Speaker 3: show here before we let you go, and this is
• 9:41
Speaker 3: a very good point. I was going to bring this
• 9:42
Speaker 3: up with you anyway, Angie, that says, with the devastating
• 9:44
Speaker 3: temperatures coming, please don't forget about your pets paws on
• 9:48
Speaker 3: pavement and keeping cold water out. You know, the pavement
• 9:53
Speaker 3: for humans. You wouldn't want to go lie down on it.
• 9:56
Speaker 3: I mean, it's about thirty to forty degrees hotter, if
• 10:00
Speaker 3: if not, if not more than what the air temperature
• 10:03
Speaker 3: is that under the little pads on dogs and cats
• 10:08
Speaker 3: are dogs specifically, is probably not good. So people need to.
• 10:12
Speaker 6: Remember that, yes, absolutely, keeping cold fresh water available, shade available,
• 10:18
Speaker 6: and limiting your pets time outside as well as you know,
• 10:21
Speaker 6: on concrete and asphalt. Please make sure that you're limiting
• 10:25
Speaker 6: that in order to keep your pets safe from burns
• 10:28
Speaker 6: but also from possible heat stroke, which is a very
• 10:30
Speaker 6: scary thing to deal with.
• 10:31
Speaker 3: Animals can have heat strokes. People don't. They think about
• 10:34
Speaker 3: that only in humans, but it is very possible and
• 10:37
Speaker 3: it's very common that animals have heat strokes.
• 10:40
Speaker 6: Absolutely, and we've seen it at the shelter and we
• 10:44
Speaker 6: have you know, had to help animals with that. So
• 10:46
Speaker 6: please just keep that in mind with the upcoming temperature.
• 10:50
Speaker 6: Early morning walks, late evening walks, and you know, very
• 10:53
Speaker 6: short burst outside during the day if you have to.
• 10:56
Speaker 3: All right, Angie, it sounds like I'm going to be
• 10:58
Speaker 3: seeing you tomorrow, So yeah, that's in my neighborhood. I
• 11:01
Speaker 3: got a lot going on tomorrow. I've got to be
• 11:02
Speaker 3: at the ballpark tomorrow night, and I got phone with
• 11:04
Speaker 3: the dome. But you're in my neighborhood. I got at
• 11:06
Speaker 3: least come over and say hi, So I will. I'll
• 11:08
Speaker 3: stop by and see you at the Tays Valley Pet
• 11:10
  Speaker 3: Go tomorrow.
• 11:11
Speaker 6: I appreciate that. I look forward to it, all right.
• 11:13
Speaker 3: Angie, Gillwater. We'll talk to you next week. Thanks a lot,

Speaker 3: thank you. It is nine eighteen again. Lavender Brown is

Speaker 3: Brown or miss Lavender or like a full name like
• 11:33
Speaker 3: you know, but Lavender Brown is her name, and loves

Speaker 3: other dogs, loves kids, probably okay with cats, very laid back.

Speaker 3: stuff going on out of Gritz Farm, and Alexandra Post
• 15:17
Speaker 3: is here to join us to talk about that. Alexandra,
• 15:20
Speaker 3: Welcome to the show.
• 15:21

• 15:30
Speaker 7: excited to celebrate over here. We are gearing up for
• 15:34
Speaker 7: summer events, starting off with our Dinner on the Farm
• 15:38
Speaker 7: series happening a next Friday. The kickoff day is June
• 15:42
Speaker 7: twenty eighth, and we're super excited. Our in house chef
• 15:47
Speaker 7: started the series back in twenty sixteen, so he's bringing
• 15:51
Speaker 7: it back this summer and we're going to have a
• 15:53
Speaker 7: great four course meal next Friday.
• 15:55
Speaker 3: All right, break it down. I want to hear about

• 16:01
Speaker 7: Part, those four courses, and we're starting off with pork yosa,

Speaker 7: so it's just dumplings that are amazing. We actually taste
• 16:09
Speaker 7: tested them yesterday and the guests are in for a tree.
• 16:12
Speaker 7: They're so good. We've got some yellowtail sush sheet, a
• 16:16
Speaker 7: shimi miso black cod, and then something called a yuja
• 16:21
Speaker 7: toku cranbrulet, and it's going to be a really creamy,
• 16:25
Speaker 7: light but sweet dessert. So it's going to be the
• 16:28
Speaker 7: most unique series that we've ever done.
• 16:31
Speaker 6: Here on the Farm.
• 16:32
Speaker 7: We're going to be presenting a different flavor of the
• 16:35
Speaker 7: world every month. So this month's theme is Asian Fusion
• 16:39
  Speaker 7: and we're.
• 16:40
Speaker 3: Excited Asian fusion. I'll tell you if my man Rich
• 16:43
Speaker 3: the realtor, is one of our sponsors here, he's all
• 16:45
Speaker 3: about the Asian and I tell you what, he would
• 16:47
Speaker 3: absolutely love that. He would love that awesome.
• 16:50
Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, we're looking forward to it for sure. So
• 16:54
Speaker 7: tickets are on sale now. We still have some tables
• 16:57
Speaker 7: available online at Chrisfarm dot com. And then following that,
• 17:01
Speaker 7: we're going to be rolling into our annual Low Country
• 17:04
Speaker 7: Boil on July twelfth, which is a little bit different.
• 17:08
Speaker 7: That's the whole crab legs, shrimp and just that traditional
• 17:14
Speaker 7: low Country food that we're looking at, mixed in with
• 17:17
Speaker 7: some Gritz Farms corn and produce. So that's always a
• 17:20
Speaker 7: good time. Tickets are own sale for that as well.
• 17:23
Speaker 7: And then there's a couple more farm dinners, one more
• 17:25
Speaker 7: in July and one in August, so definitely check that out.
• 17:29
Speaker 3: It all sounds great. Talk about other things going on.
• 17:33
Speaker 3: I mean I could talk about food all day, but

• 17:37

• 18:21
Speaker 7: we are currently accepting applications for those who might either

• 18:55
Speaker 3: can hurt you. Speaking of the things that people don't know,
• 18:59
Speaker 3: and I told you the last time that we had
• 19:02
Speaker 3: you on the show, I think that Gritz Farm is
• 19:05
Speaker 3: such a big deal, and it's a big deal for
• 19:07
Speaker 3: this area as well. But I mean, in if all
• 19:09
Speaker 3: the kids take school trips from literally all over the
• 19:12
Speaker 3: state of West Virginia, you literally get visitors from every
• 19:15
Speaker 3: state in the Union and foreign countries. But those around
• 19:18
Speaker 3: here sometimes we don't know about the things that we
• 19:21
Speaker 3: have to offer in our own backyard. What would you
• 19:23
Speaker 3: say to people in this area, Alexandra that have never
• 19:26
Speaker 3: made the trip to Gritz Farm.
• 19:29
Speaker 7: Oh, that's so true, Dave. You definitely have to visit
• 19:31
Speaker 7: Grits Farm. We've opened a new location this spring. We
• 19:36
Speaker 7: are not only located in Buffalo at the Farm right now,
• 19:40
Speaker 7: we've also got our location at Capital Market downtown where
• 19:44
Speaker 7: we've been for years, but we just opened at the
• 19:47
Speaker 7: brand new South Charleston Farmers Market. And we've also got
• 19:51
Speaker 7: a mobile produce stand opening today on West Virginia Day
• 19:55
Speaker 7: at the Gateway Plaza shopping Center parking lot. That's an
• 19:59
Speaker 7: annual spot been for the last several years and We
• 20:02
Speaker 7: just encourage you guys to come out and check out
• 20:05
Speaker 7: the local West Virginia produce that either we grow or
• 20:09
Speaker 7: fellow West Virginia farmers grow as we move into the summertime.
• 20:13
Speaker 7: It's just a really great way to support local businesses
• 20:15
Speaker 7: but also get really good food.
• 20:17
Speaker 3: Yeah, and I'll go ahead and put a plug in
• 20:19
Speaker 3: for the South Charleston Farmers Market. I had never been
• 20:23
Speaker 3: until a couple of weeks ago, and my wife and
• 20:25
Speaker 3: I have gone the last two saturdays in a row,
• 20:26
Speaker 3: and chances are we're going to end up there tomorrow
• 20:28
Speaker 3: as well. You knows it's fantastic there. I mean, and
• 20:33
Speaker 3: by the way, cheap plug for our sister station ninety
• 20:36
Speaker 3: eight to seven a Mountain. We're going to be broadcasting
• 20:38
Speaker 3: live from there tomorrow with the folks at secure Net.
• 20:41
Speaker 3: Steve Animal will be live there tomorrow. So it'd be
• 20:43
Speaker 3: a great opportunity for you to stop by and learn
• 20:46
Speaker 3: about secure Net, but also would be a great opportunity
• 20:48
Speaker 3: for you to see what they've got there at the
• 20:51
Speaker 3: farmers Market, because it is truly a show piece for
• 20:55
Speaker 3: South Charleston, for the Kanawa Valley.
• 20:58
Speaker 7: Yeah, it's great day. We're We're so happy and grateful
• 21:01
Speaker 7: to be there. It's been great for the community and
• 21:04
Speaker 7: we look forward to seeing it grow and seeing more
• 21:06
Speaker 7: people come out and shop.
• 21:08
Speaker 3: I want to ask you this, and then I'll let
• 21:10
Speaker 3: you go because I know you're very busy and I
• 21:12
Speaker 3: didn't need to put you on the spot. But it
• 21:14
Speaker 3: is West Virginia Day, and.
• 21:18
  Speaker 6: What now.
• 21:18
Speaker 3: I'm not going to give you. I'm not going to
• 21:19
Speaker 3: give you a quiz or anything like that, I promise,
• 21:22
Speaker 3: although knowing you, I think you could probably as that anyway,
• 21:25
Speaker 3: but I'm not going to do that. But you're a
• 21:26
Speaker 3: younger person, Okay, You've chosen to have to make you
• 21:32
Speaker 3: know the early part of your life at least here
• 21:34
Speaker 3: in West Virginia. What is it that you like about
• 21:36
Speaker 3: West Virginia so much?
• 21:39
Speaker 7: I love the people in West Virginia, and I know
• 21:41
Speaker 7: that you probably get that answer a lot, but it's true.
• 21:44
Speaker 7: Everybody's so friendly, and especially being out at Grits Farm. Yes,
• 21:49
Speaker 7: we operate in different locations downtown, but my office is
• 21:53
Speaker 7: primarily in Buffalo, and being up here you have to
• 21:57
Speaker 7: travel ten minutes up a mountain to get here. There's
• 21:59
Speaker 7: some thing just so special about it. It really does
• 22:02
Speaker 7: have its own type of magic and just seeing it,
• 22:05
Speaker 7: you would never expect it to be here. And something
• 22:07
Speaker 7: so so great and wonderful that a family has produced
• 22:11
Speaker 7: and put together almost over the last hundred years. It's
• 22:14
Speaker 7: just a really special thing to be part of.
• 22:16
  Speaker 4: All right.
• 22:17
Speaker 3: Didn't mean to put you on the spot there, but
• 22:18
Speaker 3: anytime that I talk to you're good. Well, anytime I
• 22:21
Speaker 3: talk to a relatively younger person. You know, we don't
• 22:24
Speaker 3: have enough of you here in West Virginia, and I
• 22:27
Speaker 3: like to be able to, you know, say, okay, well,
• 22:29
Speaker 3: you're a younger person. You're choosing to make your life here.
• 22:31
Speaker 3: Other young people should do it as well. Let's get
• 22:34
Speaker 3: back to the ticket information for the farm to table,
• 22:36
Speaker 3: the next one you got comed.
• 22:37
Speaker 7: Up, Yes, sir, that is available at gritsfarm dot com.
• 22:41
Speaker 7: We've got tables on sale for the upcoming farm Dinner
• 22:45
Speaker 7: next Saturday in June, and then we also have tickets
• 22:49
Speaker 7: on sale for the Low Country Boil on July twelve,
• 22:51
Speaker 7: so be sure and check it out.
• 22:52
Speaker 3: All right, we'll talk to you here in a couple
• 22:54
Speaker 3: of weeks. I appreciate you being here.
• 22:55
Speaker 7: Thanks a lot, Thanks, Dave, appreciate it.
• 22:57
Speaker 3: Alexandra posts again with the folks over at Gritz Farm again,
• 23:01
Speaker 3: not only there in Buffalo in that area of Putnam County,
• 23:04
Speaker 3: but also as they said, you know, they've got their
• 23:06
Speaker 3: place at Capitol Market, they got their place at the
• 23:08
Speaker 3: South Charleston Farmers Market, and they are expanding, expanding day.
• 23:12

Speaker 3: this about West Virginia, all right, and when I'll talk
• 25:52
Speaker 3: about this with our other guests that are coming in
• 25:53
Speaker 3: as well. We have our issues in West Virginia. We
• 25:57
Speaker 3: all know what the issues are. I absolutely love it here.
• 26:01
Speaker 3: I mean, like a lot of you, I've had opportunities,
• 26:03
Speaker 3: plenty of opportunities to go to other states. I choose
• 26:07
Speaker 3: to be here. I was out of the state. Well
• 26:10
Speaker 3: actually I actually lived in West Virginia, but worked across
• 26:14
Speaker 3: the river at a radio station in Ohio for a
• 26:16
Speaker 3: short time out of college. And I enjoyed that. But
• 26:21
Speaker 3: I love Mountain Mamma man. I love West Virginia. I
• 26:24
Speaker 3: love it. And we were asked. Marcia Kavallik from our
• 26:27
Speaker 3: news team, sent out an email to all of us
• 26:30
Speaker 3: a little bit earlier around our different stations around the
• 26:34
Speaker 3: state and ask us to talk about why we liked
• 26:37
Speaker 3: West Virginia and she was going to compile them all,
• 26:39
Speaker 3: I guess, and do them on her lot. She does
• 26:40
Speaker 3: a show similar to this one, but it's in Martinsburg.
• 26:44
Speaker 3: And I said, one of the things I like about
• 26:46
Speaker 3: this state is I love the you know it's cliche
• 26:50
Speaker 3: to say to people, but like Alexander said, but I
• 26:52
Speaker 3: really really do love the people of West Virginia. I
• 26:54
Speaker 3: love the food, and I like the diversity. And when
• 26:58
Speaker 3: you say diverse, people roll their eyes at you sometimes.
• 27:01
Speaker 3: But what I mean by that is you couldn't be
• 27:04
Speaker 3: any more different than what Martinsburg is, to what Mingo
• 27:09
Speaker 3: County is, to what Wheeling is, to what Princeton is,
• 27:14
Speaker 3: even the differences between Morgantown and Charleston. I mean, I
• 27:18
Speaker 3: love it. I love West Virginia. Sorry, I'm a geek.
• 27:21
  Speaker 3: I'm a geek for Mountain Mama. We'll take a break.

• 30:11
Speaker 3: a little bit because we are going to talk about
• 30:12
Speaker 3: Animal Ale. Man has his own beer and we're gonna
• 30:16
Speaker 3: launch it tonight over at five Street starting about six o'clock. Course,
• 30:19
Speaker 3: everybody's invited to attend. Jim Strawn, you know you've made it.
• 30:23
Speaker 14: Dave right, you know you've made you made.
• 30:25
Speaker 3: Here's Animal Ale, Animal Ale. And I went to Ale
• 30:29
Speaker 3: was I did have a sandwich named after me, Okay,
• 30:32
Speaker 3: at a place it's no longer in business, but I'm
• 30:35
Speaker 3: with you on Nett. Yeah, I had a sandwich named
• 30:37
Speaker 3: after me. It was the Dave Allen Special, and it
• 30:40
Speaker 3: was at Fat Jack's Barbecue in Logan, and it was
• 30:43
Speaker 3: grilled steak with almost like a Philly except it had
• 30:48
Speaker 3: jalapenos on. And that was the Dave Allen Special.
• 30:50
Speaker 14: So we feel bad too, together because Gonzo Berger had
• 30:54
Speaker 14: a big Jimmy and a little Jimmy named after me.
• 30:57
Speaker 3: I remember now we have no gonzo burger and what
• 30:59
Speaker 3: was the what was what was on the same with
• 31:01
  Speaker 3: John Berger.
• 31:03
Speaker 14: Frankie said, Jimmy, what's your favorite burger? I said, well,
• 31:05
Speaker 14: you know, maybe you don't know, but I ate like
• 31:07
Speaker 14: a five year old.
• 31:09
Speaker 4: So put a little.
• 31:10
Speaker 14: Bacon on it, maybe some cheese and some ketchup. He said,
• 31:13
Speaker 14: well that's the big Jimmy, right here it is.
• 31:15
Speaker 3: So here's where I am on burgers, all right. And
• 31:17
Speaker 3: I don't promise we're not going to make this all
• 31:19
Speaker 3: about food. Here's where I am on burgers. I love
• 31:21
Speaker 3: a good burger and I like it. You can put
• 31:24
Speaker 3: whatever on it. I just don't want a ton of
• 31:26
Speaker 3: toppings because I think it takes away from the flavor.
• 31:29
Speaker 3: Give me some cheese, give me some bacon, give me
• 31:32
Speaker 3: some mayo, and maybe a little onion, and that's it.
• 31:35
Speaker 3: And I'm good that because I want to be able
• 31:37
Speaker 3: to taste the burger.
• 31:38
  Speaker 6: You know.
• 31:39
Speaker 14: And they were delicious.
• 31:40
  Speaker 7: All right.
• 31:41
Speaker 14: Anyway, I am here, you were here. This is a
• 31:43
  Speaker 14: pretty neat event.
• 31:44
  Speaker 2: No Levy.
• 31:45
Speaker 14: Tonight, I'll be down at Rolls on the River after
• 31:47
Speaker 14: I'm over at the Animal l thing. But next Thursday
• 31:50
Speaker 14: and Friday day at the Benny Keatam Temple right there
• 31:52
Speaker 14: beside the Convention Center. It's the second annual we had
• 31:55
Speaker 14: the inaugural year last year. It's the Donna l Skin
• 32:00
Speaker 14: Your Expo and it's put together by our friends at
• 32:03
Speaker 14: loved Ones. It's a real nice opportunity for seniors and
• 32:08
Speaker 14: people our age and forties and fifties taking care of
• 32:11
Speaker 14: our loved ones to maybe come and get some engaging information.
• 32:15
Speaker 14: We're going to have some health assessments for the seniors.
• 32:18
Speaker 14: We're gonna bust people in there. We're gonna have some
• 32:20
Speaker 14: educational at lunch and learns. We're gonna have a caregiver
• 32:23
Speaker 14: appreciation night. It starts at ten o'clock in the morning
• 32:26
Speaker 14: on a Thursday of the twenty six. It'll go to
• 32:29
Speaker 14: about seven that evening and then the next day like
• 32:31
Speaker 14: ten to four. But I just really I think it's
• 32:35
Speaker 14: a really neat opportunity. It's free to come in, there's
• 32:38
Speaker 14: going to be a nominal fee for the blood work,
• 32:41
Speaker 14: and we were able to secure our good friends at
• 32:43
Speaker 14: Boom Memorial Health Boom Memorial Hospital.
• 32:47
  Speaker 3: They've been great.
• 32:47
Speaker 14: They're going to come in and they're going to provide
• 32:50
Speaker 14: really a nice lab work or blood work package for
• 32:53
Speaker 14: you where they're going to assess your CBC, your comprehensive lipid,
• 32:57
Speaker 14: your thyroid, your hemoglobe and a one see testosterone prostate cancer.
• 33:02
Speaker 14: They're going to do that entire package of blood work
• 33:05
Speaker 14: for you for only seventeen dollars. So and it's for
• 33:08
Speaker 14: all people to come. It's an opportunity to come down
• 33:11
Speaker 14: and get some blood work. I'll be getting mine done.
• 33:13
Speaker 14: We're going to have entertainment most of the day. Our
• 33:16
Speaker 14: good friend a triple A entertainment JK the DJ. We're
• 33:21
Speaker 14: going to have a caregivers Appreciation Night Dave on Thursday
• 33:25
Speaker 14: from five to seven. And so, if you're listening to
• 33:27
Speaker 14: this and you're a caregiver of a loved one, or
• 33:31
Speaker 14: you work at a nursing home, you worked at assisting,
• 33:33
Speaker 14: or you work for an agency, will you go into
• 33:35
Speaker 14: homes and take care of our aging population. We want
• 33:39
Speaker 14: to honor you with a caregivers Appreciation Night five to seven.
• 33:43
Speaker 14: Just let us know that you're going to come. We'll
• 33:45
Speaker 14: have a little swag for you, maybe it's a little
• 33:47
Speaker 14: certificate will acknowledge you, and then we're going to have
• 33:50
Speaker 14: a little special entertainment. Lee Dean Sings. He's going to
• 33:53
Speaker 14: be there as Frank Sinatra, and he's even bringing Marilyn
• 33:57
Speaker 14: Monroe with him. So that is always kind of neat
• 33:59
Speaker 14: on this stage there at Benny Keatam again, if you'd
• 34:03
Speaker 14: like more information the Donna Skien Seniorexpo dot com Donna
• 34:08
Speaker 14: Skeen Senior Expo dot com. A really neat thing that
• 34:13
Speaker 14: link is doing. Our good friend Jeb Corey. He's offering
• 34:16
Speaker 14: a shuttle and we're going to many of the senior
• 34:19
Speaker 14: high rise facilities throughout the Canal Valley, so we're bussing
• 34:23
Speaker 14: folks in, We're shuttling folks in. There's going to be
• 34:26
Speaker 14: about thirty vendors there with again engaging interactive information and
• 34:32
Speaker 14: maybe some health assessments, not just the blood work, but
• 34:35
Speaker 14: there'll be folks there with blood pressures and maybe some
• 34:38
Speaker 14: different assessments. It's just going to be a pretty special
• 34:41
Speaker 14: opportunity for us as caregivers and for us as seniors.
• 34:46
Speaker 14: I'm right in the mix of both of these demographic days.
• 34:49
Speaker 14: So it's just a really neat opportunity. To Donna Skeen
• 34:55
Speaker 14: years ago, she was just one of those ladies who
• 35:00
Speaker 14: wanted to offer her friends and her neighbors the opportunity
• 35:05
Speaker 14: to be respectful and stay at home as they age,
• 35:08
Speaker 14: and so she started a company called loved Ones, probably
• 35:11
Speaker 14: twenty five thirty years ago, and it came from her mother.
• 35:16
Speaker 14: Jenna Skeen is now the CEO of loved Ones, Donna's daughter,
• 35:22
Speaker 14: and Jenna speaks so passionately in honor of Donna, her mom,
• 35:27
Speaker 14: about how she just wanted to take care of her grandmother.
• 35:30
Speaker 14: And then it became friends and neighbors and West Virginia
• 35:34
Speaker 14: as one of the oldest populations in the state, and
• 35:37
Speaker 14: we're very proud, and you just got done saying how
• 35:39
Speaker 14: proud you are of being from West Virginia. And we
• 35:42
Speaker 14: also are so proud. We want to stay in our home.
• 35:45
Speaker 14: We want to stay in our house. And so Donna
• 35:48
Speaker 14: made sure that folks had the opportunity to do that
• 35:51
Speaker 14: and that she passed in two thousand and eight. Jenna
• 35:54
Speaker 14: started this event last year called the Donna L. Skane
• 35:58
Speaker 14: Senior Expo in her mother's name, and so we just
• 36:01
Speaker 14: honor her. The logo is kind of a character a
• 36:04
Speaker 14: sketch of her mom, Donna's this whole Senior Expo. The
• 36:09
Speaker 14: tagline is compassion and action, and that's what Donna L.
• 36:12
Speaker 14: Skien was local gal doing well and loved Ones is
• 36:16
Speaker 14: happy to bring this to you, but we couldn't do
• 36:18
Speaker 14: it without our good friends at Boone Memorial Hospital. Also
• 36:21
Speaker 14: United Healthcare stepped up, Putnam Aging down your Way, Allied
• 36:26
Speaker 14: Nursing are good friends at Mountain State. I mentioned linked
• 36:29
Speaker 14: and our friends at WWK kind of our TV sponsor.
• 36:34
Speaker 14: And I appreciate your opportunity with you guys to come
• 36:37
Speaker 14: in here and let us talk about this for a
• 36:39
Speaker 14: minute again. Donna Skien, Senior Expo dot com. It's a
• 36:45
Speaker 14: free admission. There's a nominal fee for the blood work,
• 36:48
Speaker 14: but what a great deal for seventeen dollars fasting for
• 36:51
Speaker 14: best results. The event starts at ten o'clock am on
• 36:54
Speaker 14: Thursday and ten o'clock am on Friday. That's June twenty sixth,
• 36:58
Speaker 14: in the twenty seventh over to Benny Keatham Temple. Are
• 37:01
Speaker 14: good friends there at one hundred Charrier Street in Charleston,
• 37:05
Speaker 14: by the Convention Center. Dave, I'm appreciative of the time.
• 37:09
Speaker 14: One more thing before I leave the Lunch and learns
• 37:11
Speaker 14: one on Thursday, June the twenty sixth, This is free
• 37:14
Speaker 14: to come. Our good friend JT Hunter with R E.

• 37:22
Speaker 14: a seminar called learning to Swim in the Lake of Caregiving.
• 37:26
  Speaker 14: He is fantabulous.
• 37:28
  Speaker 3: I love him.
• 37:28
Speaker 14: He'll do that from noon to one. We'll have a
• 37:31
Speaker 14: box lunch for everybody that attends. Again, just free to
• 37:34
Speaker 14: come in and enjoy JT's presentation. Then on Friday, the
• 37:38
Speaker 14: presentation for lunch and learn. It's going to be our
• 37:40
Speaker 14: good friend Tabitha Justice. She's with just Us Retirement Solutions.
• 37:45
Speaker 14: She's going to be doing a seminar and planning ahead
• 37:48
Speaker 14: for your needs for later in life. So lots of
• 37:51
Speaker 14: neat things, lots of good education. Learn more at the website.

• 39:22
Speaker 3: got an al name, comes in here like you know,
• 39:24
Speaker 3: like Jared from sup. Okay, that's not a good example.
• 39:27
Speaker 3: But he comes in. But he comes in with a
• 39:29
  Speaker 3: with a sandwich.
• 39:30
Speaker 14: That soda pop bottle. It might look like soda, but
• 39:32
Speaker 14: I have a feeling his animal uh shows thrown on
• 39:40
  Speaker 14: your sandwich.
• 39:42
Speaker 3: Have a great wife? How did you?
• 39:43

• 39:46
Speaker 14: Before that high, I missedownd quite often all the time.
• 39:49
Speaker 4: I mean, she stalked me.
• 39:51
Speaker 3: I remember the scat. That's a true story. Actually, yes,
• 39:56
Speaker 3: she actually I was talking too, but she just had
• 39:58
Speaker 3: more gusts than I did. Yeah, and what she did?
• 40:01
Speaker 3: You know, Jody has a night Here's what. Jody has
• 40:04
Speaker 3: an identical twin sister. Okay, and so they took shifts
• 40:08
Speaker 3: and stalking from what I understand, because she seems like.
• 40:13
Speaker 14: Said the end o the day about their birthday coming up,
• 40:15
Speaker 14: and we're going to try to make their birthday. I said,
• 40:18
Speaker 14: how did you even? I said, I can hardly tell
• 40:19
Speaker 14: them a party said no, good for me.

Speaker 15: the end of the world is coming, obviously, we're just
• 40:43
Speaker 15: in talk. Sean Meyer and Derek Godwin, good friends from
• 40:48
Speaker 15: at Fife, and of course me being here with Sean
• 40:50
Speaker 15: and hanging down at Fife. It just kind of snowballed.
• 40:53
Speaker 15: We were spitballing about six nine months ago about doing
• 40:57
Speaker 15: something a little different, little rock and rollish, and you know,
• 41:00
Speaker 15: so here we are months later, and it is the
• 41:04
Speaker 15: Animal Ale launch on West Virginia Day. Very grateful, very
• 41:07

Speaker 15: need another sample over here and after a while it because.
• 42:56
  Speaker 4: They're beautiful.
• 42:57
Speaker 3: Yeah, but you look beautiful, Stea, go ahead.
• 43:01
Speaker 15: But I wanted a light beer taste, but not necessarily
• 43:04
Speaker 15: a light beer. And I definitely did not want a
• 43:06
Speaker 15: heavy you know, a beer you need to eat with
• 43:08
Speaker 15: a spoon or a fork. I just wanted something that
• 43:13
Speaker 15: had a nice color, kind of a golden amber to it.
• 43:16
Speaker 3: And they actually have a picture I haven't posted on
• 43:18
Speaker 3: the Mountain Facebook page, but I will. I have a
• 43:20
Speaker 3: picture that all put up on the Mountain Facebook. You
• 43:22
Speaker 3: can actually see what the beer looks like.
• 43:24
Speaker 15: And it's phenomenally awesome. So Derek John and the rest
• 43:27
Speaker 15: of the career, the brewers over at five did a
• 43:30
Speaker 15: awesome job. Looking forward to the party this evening that starts,
• 43:33
Speaker 15: like I said, at six, and it'll go on till
• 43:36
  Speaker 15: whoever knows.
• 43:37
Speaker 3: So I mean, and that we got rolls on the
• 43:39
Speaker 3: river going on tonight in Charleston. There's so many things
• 43:42
Speaker 3: going on. Of course, we're all going to be down
• 43:44

• 43:46
Speaker 3: at the ballpark tomorrow night because the Dirty Birds are out,

Speaker 3: in every bottle Animal Ale, which launches tonight over at
• 46:26
Speaker 3: five Street. Text says Steve seems more like a Cosmo
• 46:30
  Speaker 3: drinker Cosmo.
• 46:32
Speaker 4: I mean, if you're buying I'm drinking. Yeah.
• 46:34
Speaker 3: They came from Rob real By that I just thought.
• 46:37
Speaker 3: I just thought that out there, all right, So six
• 46:40
Speaker 3: o'clock tonight, that's where we start this thing. I'm gonna
• 46:42
Speaker 3: ask you a quick and we'll see everybody over there.
• 46:44
Speaker 3: Then you are live at the Farmers Market in South Charleston.
• 46:47
Speaker 3: Secure in that tomorrow tomorrow from eleven to one, and
• 46:49
Speaker 3: then we're at Foam at the Dome. I'll be there
• 46:52
Speaker 3: for that, and then I'll be at the ballpark to
• 46:53
Speaker 3: the morning. I want to ask you this though, before
• 46:55
Speaker 3: I let you go. Nothing to do with the beer
• 46:57
Speaker 3: or whatever. You're not a West Virginia gap. It is
• 47:00
Speaker 3: West Virginia day. You came here, yes, years ago, I
• 47:04
Speaker 3: was transplanted on the run from the police. You came
• 47:06
Speaker 3: here years ago, and you chose to make West Virginia
• 47:10
Speaker 3: your home. Why you could be? I mean, you've got,
• 47:12
Speaker 3: you know, a million dollar talent with a ten cent
• 47:14
Speaker 3: brain to quote the great kid Rock, So you could
• 47:17
Speaker 3: be working in all seriousness. You've worked in like Connecticut,
• 47:20
Speaker 3: You've worked in Austin, all these places. Yes, why why
• 47:24
Speaker 3: do you stay here?
• 47:26
Speaker 15: Like the first year, I thought, all right, this is
• 47:27
Speaker 15: a great stop. You know, I'll hit the road after
• 47:30
Speaker 15: your do, like you know, I want to make sure I,
• 47:32
Speaker 15: you know, make it at least a year somewhere without
• 47:34
Speaker 15: getting fired again. But after the first year, just found
• 47:39
Speaker 15: the people were genuinely nice. I mean they were nice people.
• 47:42
Speaker 15: There's nice people here that really are and even like
• 47:46
Speaker 15: looking at other parts of the country, like cost of
• 47:48
Speaker 15: living was starting to go crazy, and it's just like,
• 47:51
Speaker 15: but it's nice here, you know, it's like every things
• 47:54
Speaker 15: are normal. My mom refers to Saint Albans as Maybury.
• 48:00
Speaker 3: Does that means Scott James is mayor Pike.
• 48:02
  Speaker 4: I guess so.
• 48:05
  Speaker 15: But yeah, I mean it's a throat. It's an easy
• 48:07
Speaker 15: city to manage. It has like when I was in Providence,
• 48:10
Speaker 15: it reminded like Providence was an easy city to manage,
• 48:14
Speaker 15: even though it was it's still a large city at
• 48:17
Speaker 15: the time, but like coming here it was like a
• 48:19
  Speaker 15: mini Providence.
• 48:20
Speaker 4: It's like, oh, this place is cool. It's manageable.
• 48:22
Speaker 15: You can go out to the suburbs and you know,
• 48:24
Speaker 15: get away from the city if you want, or and
• 48:27
Speaker 15: then you have all the whitewater rafting and all the
• 48:29
Speaker 15: other cool stuff that the state has to offer.
• 48:31
Speaker 3: So it was it just I'm always the reason I
• 48:34
Speaker 3: ask you that is because I'm always interested. And we
• 48:36
Speaker 3: had from Gritz Farm earlier on the show, Alexander Alexandra
• 48:40
Speaker 3: Post and a young person who's chosen to live here. Yeah,
• 48:45
Speaker 3: and you, an old person, have chosen to to to
• 48:50
Speaker 3: stay here, and I like that and that's why. And
• 48:52
Speaker 3: how long have you been.
• 48:53
Speaker 15: Here thirty I've going on thirty six years, and I
• 48:57
Speaker 15: mean I met my wife at Mulligan's.
• 48:59
Speaker 3: Yeah, we've been. We we discussed that stalking story.
• 49:01
  Speaker 4: Really. Yeah, I'm a victim.
• 49:05
Speaker 3: That's why I wanted to bring you into just to
• 49:06
Speaker 3: ask that, you know, because we need more stories like that.
• 49:10
Speaker 15: Yeah, I mean, what a what a great place, easy
• 49:12
Speaker 15: access to get around and go do stuff for about
• 49:15
Speaker 15: three three and a half hours.
• 49:16
Speaker 4: You know, you've got DC six away.
• 49:18
Speaker 3: Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, Columbus, Charlotte, you.
• 49:20
Speaker 15: Know, Cincinnati. I mean it's pretty awesome.
• 49:23
Speaker 3: Amandaville. Yeah, all the big towns, rocking and rolling, pinch.
• 49:28
  Speaker 4: Yeah.
• 49:29
Speaker 15: We'll see you tonight down at five Street for Animal
• 49:32
Speaker 15: Al the release. Looking forward to it. Thank you for
• 49:34
Speaker 15: having me here. All right, man, we'll see you there.
• 49:36
Speaker 3: Rock on, Get out of myself, Get your sandwich out of.
• 49:38
Speaker 4: Our studio, sandwich please you in peace here. Yeah.
• 49:42
Speaker 3: That's the funny thing about it is I thought that's
• 49:45
Speaker 3: probably my sandwich because I have a sandwich and instant
• 49:48
Speaker 3: there and when as soon as you came down here
• 49:49
Speaker 3: and I started, I said, he's taking my sandwichle my
• 49:52
Speaker 3: refegerator bag, on your desk. All right, Yeah, we got
• 49:55
Speaker 3: enough things crawling up there right now. All right, I
• 49:57
Speaker 3: appreciate you being here, buddy.
• 49:59
  Speaker 4: Thanks.
• 50:00
Speaker 3: I'll see you tonight over at to five Street, Okay,
• 50:02
Speaker 3: all right, six o'clock tonight. That's where it's where the
• 50:05
Speaker 3: action is going to be tonight. Foe with the dome
• 50:07
Speaker 3: tomorrow and then I again will be over at the ballpark.
• 50:10
Speaker 3: By the way, The Dave Allen Showing five eighty Live
• 50:12
Speaker 3: is brought to you by your hometown baseball team, the
• 50:14
Speaker 3: Charleston Dirty Birds Again. They're out on the road against
• 50:17
Speaker 3: Hagerstown and then they have a series at Lexington. They're
• 50:21
Speaker 3: back though, at Gomart Ballpark next Friday. Takes promotion schedules
• 50:25
Speaker 3: Merchant more of his Dirty Birds Baseball dot Com Big
• 50:27
Speaker 3: Wrestling event going on there tomorrow. I don't do a
• 50:29
Speaker 3: lot of wrestling shows anymore, but I'm going to make
• 50:31
Speaker 3: an exception for this one because Reel Shoot Wrestling has
• 50:35
Speaker 3: invited me to do the induction speech for my man,
• 50:38
Speaker 3: Adorable Danny Ray, who is going to be inducted into
• 50:41
Speaker 3: the Reel Shoot Wrestling Hall of Fame. Man, I'm going
• 50:43
Speaker 3: to be there at probably pretty sweaty after being at
• 50:46
Speaker 3: Foam with the dome all day tomorrow. DJ Meadows, who
• 50:50
Speaker 3: does not sweat, is in the studio with us right now.
• 50:53
  Speaker 8: What's up?
• 50:54
Speaker 3: Happy West Virginia Day, Happy West Virginia Day. What is
• 50:57
Speaker 3: it that you like about WESTRG You're a West Virginia boy.
• 50:59
Speaker 3: You're there and watched Virginia boy like I am. But again,
• 51:03
Speaker 3: you've lived in other places, but you're here. Why I
• 51:07
Speaker 3: was born here, I was raised here.
• 51:09
Speaker 17: I've been fortunate enough to work in many different cities
• 51:12
Speaker 17: across this country, and I've been fortunate to travel the world.
• 51:16
Speaker 17: And while it's nice to see other things, it's nice
• 51:18
Speaker 17: to be other places understand how other people live. I
• 51:21
Speaker 17: have never felt at ease the way I do here.
• 51:25
Speaker 17: Maybe that's because of family, but it's extended family too.
• 51:29
Speaker 17: I grew up in a small neighborhood population town of
• 51:33
Speaker 17: about a thousand people called Sylvester, West Virginia, in Boone County.
• 51:36
Speaker 17: Everybody knew everybody, everybody knew where everybody's hide a key was,
• 51:41
Speaker 17: people watched out for everybody. It was a great place
• 51:45
Speaker 17: to grow up and feel like you belonged. And that
• 51:49
Speaker 17: doesn't happen everywhere else. And now you reside in Tay's
• 51:52
Speaker 17: Valley where, yes, as you called me, i am the mayor.
• 51:54
Speaker 17: You are the mayor, and I'm one of your loyal subjects.
• 51:57
Speaker 3: Yes, Sergeant at arms or something that no King's rally
• 51:59
Speaker 3: had nothing to do with your leadership and Tayte Valley.
• 52:01
Speaker 3: By the way, we're all about you. What's on the
• 52:03
  Speaker 3: show today?
• 52:04
Speaker 17: So coming up, we're gonna talk to the Ohio County
• 52:05
Speaker 17: Sheriff at ten o six. They're using deputies from other
• 52:08
Speaker 17: areas to give first responders a break, which is great.
• 52:11
Speaker 17: One of the reasons they have to do this, unfortunately,
• 52:13
Speaker 17: is we're starting to see some examples and hearing rumblings
• 52:16
  Speaker 17: of looting.
• 52:17
Speaker 3: Spent the whole show talking about how great West Virginia
• 52:19
Speaker 3: is and you're gonna shoot it all the crap coming
• 52:20
Speaker 3: up next hour. Maybe maybe they're looters from other places. Yeah,
• 52:24
  Speaker 3: there you go.
• 52:24
Speaker 10: There, we'll go with that.
• 52:25
Speaker 17: It's happening in West Virginia. Chris Tirewalla at eleven o six.
• 52:29
Speaker 17: Eleven thirty three is Steam Release ten thirty three. Back
• 52:33
Speaker 17: up a bit. Chris Lawrence is going to be in
• 52:34
Speaker 17: the studio. He's had some awesome stories so very touching,
• 52:37
Speaker 17: great coverage from what has happened in Ohio County and elsewhere.
• 52:40
Speaker 3: We'll talk to him as well. I'll see you at
• 52:42
Speaker 3: ten oh six. I'll be back later today with Metro
• 52:44
Speaker 3: News Midday. No Amanda, she's on vacation. I will see
• 52:47
Speaker 3: you then. Until then, have fun. I love somebody, have
• 52:49
Speaker 3: you West Virginia Day?
• 53:01
Speaker 8: Why us do you see it just again
