- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listening to Bill Handel on demand from KFI AM 640.
- 0:04Speaker 2: KFI AM 640 live everywhere on the iHeartRadio app. Neil
- 0:09Speaker 2: Saavedra and the morning crew here. Happy to be with you.
- 0:28Speaker 2: And hanging out, doing the morning show before Handel gets
- 0:33Speaker 2: back next week. Thank you to all the really kind
- 0:35Speaker 2: words and support of the morning crew and myself. We
- 0:41Speaker 2: don't take it lightly that you're choosing to hang out
- 0:44Speaker 2: with us every morning. And we thank you for that.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Kono's last day is tomorrow, which is sad.
- 0:52Speaker 3: It is.
- 0:53Speaker 2: It is sad. We love Kono. And we bought him
- 0:56Speaker 2: a truck. But that's not the reason. And it wasn't
- 1:00Speaker 2: a truck, so. It wasn't. What'd you end up getting?
- 1:02Speaker 2: Don't worry about it. No, I'm curious. Well, we're going
- 1:05Speaker 2: to repossess it. We've got big stories in. We've got
- 1:07Speaker 2: big stories.
- 1:08Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:09Speaker 2: All right. To some.
- 1:11Speaker 1: All right.
- 1:11Speaker 2: So before we get into this, let's hear the audio
- 1:14Speaker 2: first of what Trump said about Los Angeles and San
- 1:17Speaker 2: Diego and the big hubbub.
- 1:19Speaker 1: I want to see a tremendous victory. You want to
- 1:22Speaker 1: see a tremendous victory because it verifies all the things
- 1:24Speaker 1: we did. And again, remember- With the word just artificial,
- 1:28Speaker 1: it's a little bit high. It's a small price to
- 1:30Speaker 1: pay for keeping the world safe, keeping our country safe.
- 1:34Speaker 2: They can take out a city.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Let them take out Los Angeles.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Let them take out San Diego.
- 1:42Speaker 1: This is a very small price to pay.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Okay. I'm not a big words guy all the time.
- 1:52Speaker 2: I do believe words have meaning. I think people get
- 1:56Speaker 2: butt hurt real easy, and I've said it a bazillion
- 1:58Speaker 2: times before, we listen with our triggers. People don't listen anymore.
- 2:04Speaker 2: They listen with our triggers. Time and memorial. We have
- 2:11Speaker 2: presidents that have said controversial things. 1976, you have Gerald Ford.
- 2:17Speaker 2: There is no Soviet domination of Eastern Europe during a
- 2:21Speaker 2: presidential debate. You know. Freaked a lot of people out.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Ronald Reagan, 1981. Trees cause more pollution than automobiles. Yeah.
- 2:34Speaker 2: And I liked Reagan. Not while he was in office
- 2:40Speaker 2: real early on, but I grew to appreciate him. But
- 2:42Speaker 2: back in the punk days, you hated it. All politicians.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Richard Nixon. I am not a crook. That big thing.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Bill Clinton. It depends on what the meaning of the
- 2:54Speaker 2: word is, is. If you remember splitting hairs about his sexcapades,
- 3:03Speaker 2: Barack Obama, you didn't build that during a campaign speech
- 3:08Speaker 2: in Roanoke, Virginia. Donald Trump, I'm a very stable genius.
- 3:13Speaker 2: There's a lot of things that are said by politicians.
- 3:16Speaker 2: But here's the deal. You are the president of these
- 3:20Speaker 2: United States, not some of the states, all of the states.
- 3:26Speaker 2: I don't ever defend Donald Trump. I do defend some
- 3:30Speaker 2: of his ideas. Handel has TDS. Absolutely. You can never
- 3:37Speaker 2: prove to me that he doesn't. You don't get as
- 3:41Speaker 2: the president to say that. I mean, there's no chuckle.
- 3:46Speaker 2: There's no nothing. I get it. He has a weird
- 3:49Speaker 2: sense of humor. And most of the time, It rolls
- 3:52Speaker 2: off my back, and personally, I don't care. And this
- 3:55Speaker 2: one will roll off my back as well. However, if
- 4:02Speaker 2: you defend these things and you think they are totally normal,
- 4:08Speaker 2: there's a problem with you. You don't get to stand
- 4:11Speaker 2: up in a public place where you're being recorded and
- 4:16Speaker 2: say these things. I said the same thing when it
- 4:18Speaker 2: came to January 6th. He knew what he was doing.
- 4:21Speaker 2: And again, if you defend January 6th, you've lost me
- 4:28Speaker 2: already as well. So for those that think that I'm
- 4:31Speaker 2: a Trumper, I've never voted for Trump. I never would
- 4:34Speaker 2: vote for Trump, but I don't have TDS either. And
- 4:38Speaker 2: there are times where I try and push and pull
- 4:40Speaker 2: handle to the center again. And there are definitely things
- 4:44Speaker 2: I will defend that Trump has done because I agree
- 4:48Speaker 2: with them. I don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.
- 4:52Speaker 2: But I will tell you, Trump is not a good man.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Even if you agree with his politics or some of
- 4:59Speaker 2: the things he does, he's not a good person. He's not,
- 5:04Speaker 2: you know, some Christian out there. I know the Christian
- 5:06Speaker 2: right love him because he's doing what they want to do.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Muslims didn't say anything about it. When Muslim groups did
- 5:24Speaker 2: not call it wrong and wouldn't come out. I don't
- 5:27Speaker 2: like it when Latinos stick together on something that's horrible.
- 5:31Speaker 2: I don't like when they are, you know, get rid
- 5:34Speaker 2: of the borders and let everyone in and this is
- 5:39Speaker 2: stolen land and all that. I don't like any of that.
- 5:42Speaker 2: I don't like when African-Americans stick together on stupid things
- 5:46Speaker 2: or make martyrs out of bad people. And I certainly
- 5:53Speaker 2: don't like seeing our streets torn up during Black Lives
- 5:56Speaker 2: Matter by people that don't care about the politics of
- 6:02Speaker 2: it all and don't even care about Black people dying.
- 6:06Speaker 2: They just want to loot and be stupid. So I
- 6:10Speaker 2: do call people out for the things that they do
- 6:13Speaker 2: and for what they say, because there's a lot of
- 6:15Speaker 2: stupid things happening. Defund the police is stupid. There are
- 6:20Speaker 2: mantras out there that are hellaciously stupid, but it's hellaciously
- 6:26Speaker 2: stupid for a president of the United States. It's reckless.
- 6:29Speaker 2: It's dangerous when you have a following that reaches the
- 6:34Speaker 2: realm of stupidity. for not clarifying that. Can I hear
- 6:42Speaker 2: that as a joke?
- 6:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:43Speaker 2: You know, if he sat there and chuckled, he said,
- 6:46Speaker 2: you know, personally, I wouldn't mind if it was LA
- 6:49Speaker 2: and San Diego. Would I still be pissed off? Yeah.
- 6:52Speaker 2: You know, we are a place with multiple military bases.
- 6:57Speaker 2: We are already a target. And we have been a target.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Growing up in Ventura County on the border, We had
- 7:07Speaker 2: bases all around us in Camarillo, Leo Carrillo, near Leo
- 7:15Speaker 2: Carrillo and everything. We had bases up on the hill,
- 7:18Speaker 2: communication bases for the presidents on the Santa Monica Mountains.
- 7:23Speaker 2: We are already a target here in San Diego, a target,
- 7:27Speaker 2: a military target in Los Angeles, on the beaches. And
- 7:33Speaker 2: to say those things, is as stupid as it was
- 7:37Speaker 2: when he did it on January 6th. He knew what
- 7:40Speaker 2: he was saying. And if you don't think he knows
- 7:43Speaker 2: what he's saying, and you don't think that that's an
- 7:46Speaker 2: F you to us, and listen, they're not all liberals here,
- 7:49Speaker 2: I'm sorry, then you're asinine. You're not very bright to me,
- 7:54Speaker 2: and you don't think he has power or the intellect
- 7:58Speaker 2: to understand. So maybe you think he's stupid, or maybe
- 8:01Speaker 2: you think he's powerless. But if he is.
- 8:06Speaker 2: You know, the ultimate genius that says, I am a
- 8:12Speaker 2: very stable genius. A very stable genius doesn't make jokes
- 8:15Speaker 2: like that when you have that power. So you have
- 8:17Speaker 2: what they call the dilemma or the trilemma. Either he
- 8:22Speaker 2: doesn't have the power and his words mean nothing, or
- 8:25Speaker 2: he knows that his words mean nothing, or he's a
- 8:28Speaker 2: very powerful man, knows that his words mean something and
- 8:31Speaker 2: know that he has power. So you have to take
- 8:35Speaker 2: one of those away. And maybe he doesn't think he
- 8:39Speaker 2: has power. Or maybe he doesn't think words matter. But
- 8:43Speaker 2: you can't have all three of them at the same
- 8:45Speaker 2: place at the same time. Jim Baker, two Ks, of course,
- 8:51Speaker 2: the disgraced televangelist, went to prison, died at 86, October 5th, yesterday.
- 9:02Speaker 2: What a crazy story. Once led this multimillion-dollar religious empire
- 9:07Speaker 2: with his wife, Tammy Faye. Jesus loves you. Before a
- 9:12Speaker 2: sex scandal, you know, tarnished not only him and his
- 9:16Speaker 2: reputation and was convicted for fraud and conspiracy and sent
- 9:22Speaker 2: him to federal prison. You know, it took a toll
- 9:30Speaker 2: on Christianity itself in a lot of ways. There are
- 9:34Speaker 2: people that like this televangelistic thing. I was never real
- 9:38Speaker 2: big on it. The health and wealth doctrine of some
- 9:42Speaker 2: and the name it and claim it and blab it
- 9:46Speaker 2: and grab it, whatever you want to call it. And
- 9:49Speaker 2: the types of preaching healings and things like that didn't
- 9:55Speaker 2: sit well with me. The. fundraising bothers me. This God
- 10:02Speaker 2: is broke stuff bugs me. And that doesn't mean that
- 10:07Speaker 2: I don't think you should give money to your church.
- 10:10Speaker 2: I think you should. I think if you're going to
- 10:12Speaker 2: a church, they have electricity bills, air conditioning bills, all
- 10:16Speaker 2: those things that and you're being fed by them, then
- 10:21Speaker 2: you set aside money, however small, but again, make it
- 10:25Speaker 2: consistent so that they can pay their bills and they
- 10:28Speaker 2: can have a reliable income. I also believe they should
- 10:33Speaker 2: open their books to you and you should know where
- 10:34Speaker 2: the money goes. But this whole thing, PTL Club, for
- 10:43Speaker 2: praise the Lord and all that stuff, people that love,
- 10:47Speaker 2: whatever it might be. It wasn't my cup of tea
- 10:51Speaker 2: when at 17, I became a Protestant growing up Catholic.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Just wasn't. And I went through my holier than thou days,
- 11:00Speaker 2: trust me, and the holy roller and the Bible thumping
- 11:03Speaker 2: and all that. I think everybody does as you grow,
- 11:06Speaker 2: just like in anything. But what really hit me about
- 11:10Speaker 2: this is We don't have these kind of scandals anymore
- 11:18Speaker 2: that stop us in our tracks. And I know what
- 11:22Speaker 2: you're going to respond with. Neil, we have scandals every day. Exactly.
- 11:27Speaker 2: But do you remember the days, you know, prior to
- 11:29Speaker 2: the interwebs, prior to social media, where you had these
- 11:34Speaker 2: big scandals that you couldn't get enough of? And there's
- 11:38Speaker 2: nothing more American than than wanting to lift people up
- 11:43Speaker 2: to the highest echelons of praise and fame and stardom
- 11:48Speaker 2: and celebrity and even wealth. We love doing that only
- 11:53Speaker 2: to tear them down. God, we love that more than
- 11:57Speaker 2: setting them up. We love watching people suffer and fall
- 12:01Speaker 2: from grace, but we don't get that anymore. It's every day.
- 12:07Speaker 2: Every day we have a new scandal. Every day someone's
- 12:10Speaker 2: trying to tear someone down politically. Every day we have these.
- 12:14Speaker 2: They don't have that savory, like the old preachers when
- 12:21Speaker 2: they said hell. It's almost like they finished eating fried chicken.
- 12:25Speaker 3: And you will find yourself in hell.
- 12:34Speaker 2: Licking their fingers. Because it was so tasty.
- 12:38Speaker 3: It was the damnation and the sulfur and the smell
- 12:43Speaker 3: of the fire. And we don't have any of that
- 12:46Speaker 3: anymore because every day is a new bit of tea.
- 12:51Speaker 3: Another bit of cheese, man, that we don't have these.
- 12:56Speaker 3: It was, it was almost like the early, uh.
- 12:58Speaker 2: Mini series. You know, miniseries was a big deal. You'd
- 13:06Speaker 2: have these, everybody would watch them, these miniseries, and everybody
- 13:10Speaker 2: would talk about it. Well, now every series is a miniseries.
- 13:15Speaker 2: Every show that we watch on or stream, they used
- 13:20Speaker 2: to be 13 episodes. Back in the day, you'd get 20,
- 13:23Speaker 2: 24 episodes of something. Now we get seven or eight.
- 13:29Speaker 2: So this was our first miniseries, these little, these scandals.
- 13:33Speaker 2: And they were only on television and in print and
- 13:38Speaker 2: talked about on radio. And that was it. There wasn't
- 13:40Speaker 2: any social media. That's what made them travel. And I
- 13:44Speaker 2: got to tell you, that's what I thought about. The
- 13:47Speaker 2: Christian Broadcasting Network, Pat Robertson, Jim Baker, all these scandals,
- 13:54Speaker 2: how savory and tasty they were because they came around
- 13:58Speaker 2: every now and again. And we all latched on to him.
- 14:01Speaker 2: And it was this fireball on radio and everything else.
- 14:06Speaker 2: Kind of miss it. One of the coolest tech. I
- 14:10Speaker 2: love solar energy. Do I think it's the salvation of
- 14:14Speaker 2: everything right now? No. Do I think it will get there?
- 14:16Speaker 2: I think it can. I think once it gets they keep.
- 14:22Speaker 2: storage was huge and we were finally getting along with, uh, storage,
- 14:26Speaker 2: being able to have storage batteries in your garage and
- 14:31Speaker 2: to take some of that stuff. I think it's going
- 14:33Speaker 2: to be great. I think it will be great on vehicles,
- 14:35Speaker 2: on planes, on, you know, I think we will get there.
- 14:39Speaker 2: I think you'll be able to shape it differently and
- 14:42Speaker 2: it will be the cells to harness that energy. I
- 14:45Speaker 2: think it's one of the most promising outside of, you know, uh,
- 14:51Speaker 2: you know, nuclear power and the like. So I'm all
- 14:56Speaker 2: for it. I think sometimes it could be ugly as hell.
- 14:59Speaker 2: And sometimes I think it can be done very nicely.
- 15:03Speaker 2: It's a hard sell for my wife and I because
- 15:07Speaker 2: we have a hundred year old home and it just
- 15:10Speaker 2: can look odd. However, you know, we've had people out
- 15:16Speaker 2: and we've looked at all that stuff and Because it's smart.
- 15:20Speaker 2: And I've thought about doing it to my shop at
- 15:23Speaker 2: home and just going solar for my shop for now
- 15:25Speaker 2: because it's set back. But they're coming up with new
- 15:28Speaker 2: tech and shingles. And once it gets to that state,
- 15:32Speaker 2: you're going to be stupid not to. And I think
- 15:34Speaker 2: you're almost stupid not to now. I feel stupid not
- 15:37Speaker 2: doing it just because it's gotten there, especially because it's
- 15:41Speaker 2: vanity about the house. And that may change. But California
- 15:46Speaker 2: has now legalized balcony solar. And I think this is
- 15:52Speaker 2: a smart idea. As far as I know, maybe you'll
- 15:54Speaker 2: teach me something I don't, but the new, you know,
- 15:57Speaker 2: one year ago, you had Congress defunding public media. And
- 16:03Speaker 2: now that we're 100% community funded, some of these places,
- 16:09Speaker 2: they've become sustaining members of increasing your existing, you know,
- 16:13Speaker 2: all these different things, right? Well, this is LAist, actually.
- 16:19Speaker 2: So Governor Gav Newsom signed a bill legalizing balcony or
- 16:25Speaker 2: plug-in solar. I think I just read something. That's what
- 16:29Speaker 2: it was. I read a side note. Sorry about that.
- 16:32Speaker 2: Legalizing balcony or plug-in solar just last week. And this
- 16:39Speaker 2: is kind of a twist on rooftop solar. Smaller, it's portable,
- 16:43Speaker 2: relatively inexpensive. And I know if you're looking around, maybe
- 16:46Speaker 2: you're on Amazon today and you see all the new deals.
- 16:49Speaker 2: I guarantee, whether it's Anchor or any of these companies,
- 16:52Speaker 2: that you can find a bank battery, a battery generator
- 16:59Speaker 2: of sorts with an accompaniment of solar. And being able
- 17:06Speaker 2: to use these things and these as backups is pretty huge.
- 17:09Speaker 2: So these balcony solar kits consist of a couple of panels,
- 17:13Speaker 2: an inverter that converts that energy into the kind that
- 17:17Speaker 2: you can use in your home, of course. And you
- 17:18Speaker 2: got the cables that go in. And that type of
- 17:22Speaker 2: technology is super popular in places like Germany. It can
- 17:25Speaker 2: be plugged into a standard wall outlet. If you've ever
- 17:29Speaker 2: seen it put in, You get this plug outlet, this
- 17:34Speaker 2: special plug outlet on the side of your house. Maybe
- 17:37Speaker 2: it's near your main panel. And you can plug a
- 17:40Speaker 2: generator into that. And so some places do that where
- 17:45Speaker 2: power goes out. And it's a special kind of plug.
- 17:48Speaker 2: And it has a cable that plugs into that that
- 17:50Speaker 2: goes into a generator. And the generator, the gas generator,
- 17:53Speaker 2: usually gets put far away. They're loud and they're smelly.
- 17:57Speaker 2: A solar generator can do the same thing. It can
- 17:59Speaker 2: plug into the side of your house. And what that does,
- 18:01Speaker 2: it has a separate breaker, a separate place on your
- 18:06Speaker 2: main panel that allows you to switch over to that
- 18:10Speaker 2: as the main power of the house. So now it
- 18:12Speaker 2: shuts off a couple of things. Shuts off the power
- 18:15Speaker 2: coming in and also shuts out your power going out
- 18:20Speaker 2: because it can cause major problems if it tries to
- 18:24Speaker 2: not communicate, but tries to send power to the, to
- 18:27Speaker 2: the main. So what it does is it switches your,
- 18:29Speaker 2: your main power over to just a few things. So
- 18:35Speaker 2: maybe your refrigerator, maybe your computer, maybe your television, and
- 18:38Speaker 2: then a few lights, but it doesn't try and power
- 18:41Speaker 2: the whole house depending on the size. And now you
- 18:44Speaker 2: can do that with, you know, these, these small generators
- 18:49Speaker 2: or batteries, clip them right in there and they're solar.
- 18:52Speaker 2: And then they'll, fill up, and they can run certain
- 18:55Speaker 2: things in emergencies. And this being legal, they're small, super
- 18:58Speaker 2: easy to use solar panels, give everyone, including renters and
- 19:03Speaker 2: the like, the relief on times like now. During energy bill,
- 19:07Speaker 2: they're saying keeping your AC to 78, things like that,
- 19:13Speaker 2: and plugging things you're not using because they do drain
- 19:16Speaker 2: a little bit at a time. And I think this
- 19:18Speaker 2: is cool. So the bill received overwhelming bipartisan support. State
- 19:23Speaker 2: lawmakers landed on Newsom's desk, and God bless him, he
- 19:26Speaker 2: signed it. And this is going to be a good thing,
- 19:31Speaker 2: and I think helpful, as long as it doesn't become unsightly.
- 19:34Speaker 2: But before we go down that route, look at the dishes,
- 19:38Speaker 2: satellite dishes people have on their houses. At least this
- 19:42Speaker 2: has the ability to create power and energy, and especially
- 19:48Speaker 2: during heat waves like this. where you could run things
- 19:51Speaker 2: off of them all right yeah do you get a
- 19:56Speaker 2: do-over on executions you know my bad I always think
- 20:04Speaker 2: like when it comes to attempting murder, that's just murder,
- 20:07Speaker 2: but you did it poorly, right? It's like you're bad
- 20:09Speaker 2: at it. So you should get it twice as long.
- 20:16Speaker 2: You know, just where do you get off better by
- 20:21Speaker 2: being bad at something other than radio? A lot of
- 20:25Speaker 2: radio guys out there that are horrible at what they
- 20:28Speaker 2: do that still have a job. And I'm going to
- 20:30Speaker 2: pause for a second so people can scream at the
- 20:32Speaker 2: radio like you, Saavedra. Shut up. Took away my joke?
- 20:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:37Speaker 2: No, I saw it on your face, Kono. I saw
- 20:39Speaker 2: it was coming. I don't care what you say. I
- 20:42Speaker 2: have thick skin. Don't say it. Like an elephant. Like
- 20:46Speaker 2: a rhinoceros. A rhino. Kono's leaving tomorrow. We're good. October 1st,
- 20:55Speaker 2: new laws when it comes to buying your car. A
- 20:58Speaker 2: couple of things they're looking at. Car sellers must now
- 21:01Speaker 2: provide you with a total price. It's so stupid. We
- 21:05Speaker 2: have to make laws about this. Of course, they should
- 21:08Speaker 2: give us a total price. Include any dealer price adjustment,
- 21:12Speaker 2: the cost of any item installed on the vehicle. So
- 21:16Speaker 2: according to the DMV, the total price must show up
- 21:19Speaker 2: in ads or in any initial written communication, emails, text, documents,
- 21:24Speaker 2: any form of mention of the vehicle or financing. Transparency
- 21:28Speaker 2: about add-ons. As you're choosing your car, a dealer now
- 21:32Speaker 2: has to tell you at least once which add-ons are
- 21:35Speaker 2: not actually required. You know, Kono got sucked into that undercoat,
- 21:41Speaker 2: stuff like that. It's not good, Kono. Got to get
- 21:44Speaker 2: that undercoat. Nope. Due diligence. No, you don't do diligence.
- 21:48Speaker 2: Itemized list. Spell diligence. Before I leave, I need an
- 21:51Speaker 2: itemized list. Keywords. Look at you. Look at you. I'm
- 21:55Speaker 2: glad you are so frugal with our money. I only
- 22:02Speaker 2: have one more day, man. Half a day now and
- 22:05Speaker 2: one more day tomorrow to bust your tiny little huevos.
- 22:09Speaker 2: Tomorrow's going to be brutal. I can feel it. Everything.
- 22:12Speaker 2: I've been saving up. Once I found out he gave
- 22:14Speaker 2: us two weeks, I've been saving up. We're going to
- 22:17Speaker 2: have a balloon animal clown in tomorrow. I know. You're
- 22:21Speaker 2: coming into studio. Yeah, it's going to be. Oh, it's on. Transparency.
- 22:28Speaker 2: You choose that card. Dealer's got to tell you at
- 22:29Speaker 2: least once which add-ons are there. They also have to
- 22:32Speaker 2: be transparent that you can purchase or lease the vehicle
- 22:35Speaker 2: without an extra feature. They have to be frank about financing.
- 22:40Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 22:42Speaker 2: So if you're talking about financing, the seller has to
- 22:44Speaker 2: confirm what the total cost will be after the finance term.
- 22:47Speaker 2: Not like, I love this. Hey, how much can you
- 22:50Speaker 2: afford a month? If you ever get sucked into that,
- 22:53Speaker 2: you're stupid. You're stupid. That is not the cost of
- 22:57Speaker 2: the car. And that's why you see people rolling around
- 23:00Speaker 2: in a car that they can't afford. You got to
- 23:03Speaker 2: love that. You know, you got somebody living at home
- 23:08Speaker 2: with their mom in the basement and they're driving a Mercedes.
- 23:12Speaker 2: That cracks me up. That car rich business. Clarity on
- 23:17Speaker 2: leasing versus buying a right to change your mind. This
- 23:20Speaker 2: is pretty huge, too. If you're buying a used car,
- 23:23Speaker 2: the law now gives you the right to a three
- 23:26Speaker 2: day cool down period. I thought we had that where
- 23:28Speaker 2: the purchase can be canceled for any reason. but there
- 23:32Speaker 2: are some conditions. The vehicle must be valued at less
- 23:35Speaker 2: than $ 50, 000. I have never, does anybody here have a
- 23:40Speaker 2: $ 50, 000 car? Anyone? No way, right? $ 24, 000, $ 26, 000 I think
- 23:49Speaker 2: is where I stop. If I used, I'm certainly not
- 23:54Speaker 2: going to buy anything worth $ 50, 000 if I don't have to.
- 23:58Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know what a used car is
- 24:00Speaker 2: going to be in 10 years, I have no idea.
- 24:03Speaker 2: Seller is permitted to set mileage limits. DMV estimates around
- 24:07Speaker 2: 400 miles. Seller can charge you a restocking fee, and
- 24:12Speaker 2: that could be around $ 200. But you can, you know,
- 24:17Speaker 2: I think that's important. So those laws started on the first.
- 24:22Speaker 2: Good on you if you're buying new or used there.
- 24:24Speaker 2: God forbid they have to be honest to us. How
- 24:28Speaker 2: much can you afford, pal?
- 24:31Speaker 3: Uh-uh.
- 24:31Speaker 2: A lot, but I want the cheapest thing you've got.
- 24:36Speaker 2: This is KFI. Stick around. When we come back, we're
