- 0:59SPEAKER_00: I'm Hood Famous.
- 1:00SPEAKER_02: You are.
- 1:01SPEAKER_02: You are Hey, I will say, here's the thing.
- 1:05SPEAKER_02: There are some people that you meet and their represent their reputation really does like perceive them.
- 1:11SPEAKER_02: And people really are fond of you.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: You know.
- 1:14SPEAKER_02: What do you do?
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 1:17SPEAKER_02: Why?
- 1:17SPEAKER_02: Why do people like you?
- 1:18SPEAKER_02: You know what I mean?
- 1:19SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: I'm just a chill dude.
- 1:21SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:22SPEAKER_02: You'd be chilling.
- 1:23SPEAKER_02: And you're kind of people, genuine.
- 1:25SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you know.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: It pays to be nice.
- 1:27SPEAKER_02: It pays to be nice.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: It costs nothing.
- 1:29SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna read this.
- 1:30SPEAKER_02: You tell me if this is you.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: Okay, I'm listening.
- 1:33SPEAKER_02: If you agree, great.
- 1:34SPEAKER_02: If not, tell me what I mean.
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you feel me like you get the buzzer.
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: Like order in the court.
- 1:39SPEAKER_02: Yeah, tell me what I'm in.
- 1:42SPEAKER_02: Here we go.
- 1:43SPEAKER_02: It says today's guest is a story-scaling favorite.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: And I'm just kidding.
- 1:47SPEAKER_02: A favorite.
- 1:48SPEAKER_02: You're getting a favorite.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:50SPEAKER_02: We are welcoming back Dr.
- 1:52SPEAKER_02: Bree, the founder of Essence Chiropractic, a brilliant content creator, and a true pillar in our community.
- 1:58SPEAKER_02: Last time Dr.
- 1:59SPEAKER_02: Bree was in the studio, we talked about how she brought a new perspective to the traditional wellness space by building a practice entirely rooted in human first connection.
- 2:08SPEAKER_02: She showed us that you don't have to have rigid or transactional practices to run a successful business.
- 2:14SPEAKER_02: You just need to be genuinely caring of people that are in front of you.
- 2:19SPEAKER_02: But building that foundation was one thing.
- 2:21SPEAKER_02: Scaling it while protecting your energy is a completely different thing.
- 2:24SPEAKER_02: Today we're catching up on her journey and we are talking about the realities of sustaining a community-driven brand, how she keeps her content and her practice feeling welcoming like a living room, and the next chapter of Essence Chiropractic.
- 2:38SPEAKER_02: She remains ultimate proof that leading with a servant heart is the greatest strategy in business.
- 2:43SPEAKER_02: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back, Dr.
- 2:44SPEAKER_02: Brie.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: Aww, so nice.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: That's you.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: That was so nice.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: That's you.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: It's like you're like good with words or something.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: No, like you do this.
- 2:51SPEAKER_02: Should rap or something.
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: You thought about like a SoundCloud?
- 2:55SPEAKER_02: I should rap or something.
- 2:56SPEAKER_02: Drop a mixture.
- 2:56SPEAKER_02: Like a YouTube short, maybe?
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: Spotlight or whatever.
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: Spotlight.
- 3:08SPEAKER_02: You're hilarious.
- 3:09SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 3:10SPEAKER_02: What's happened since we've seen you last?
- 3:12SPEAKER_02: You're hilarious.
- 3:13SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: Since we've seen you last, what's happened?
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: What's been up with me?
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: Um kind of the same stuff.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: Um, rugby season is back.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: So you'll see me at my quarterly outside time.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they had their first home opener against Little Rock.
- 3:33SPEAKER_00: It was very cool.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: Um, I'm the team doctor for the Fayetteville Women's Phoenix rugby team.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: So um we go out there, support them, and do their thing, and I do my thing and make sure everyone's safe doing their thing.
- 3:45SPEAKER_02: How many teams do you support?
- 3:47SPEAKER_00: Okay, so Fayetteville, women's Phoenix, the men's Arkansas team, the Griffins, both the college teams.
- 3:54SPEAKER_00: So that's let's just say that's one.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: Rugby, let's say it's one.
- 3:57SPEAKER_02: Even though it's four, let's say it's one.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: Like they like collectively, they probably make up like a whole like like Razorback football team ish.
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: The number of people.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: So like we'll just say rugby is like its own basket.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: So I have them.
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: Then we have a few of our favorite Razorbacks from different sports.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: I do NIL, so like the name image like this bag.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: Um, I was, to my knowledge, the first chiropractor to do that with the University of Arkansas.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: And they didn't really understand like what I was doing.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: They're like, I don't like why does a doctor want to be a part of NIL?
- 4:29SPEAKER_00: Like, we don't really get what you're doing.
- 4:31SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, you don't need to worry about that.
- 4:33SPEAKER_00: Basically, I have social media ambassadors, so like they get to come to my office and get adjusted, and in exchange, they have to post on their story and just be like, I came and got adjusted today.
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: Woo! And that's literally it.
- 4:43SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: And it's like, of course, everyone wants to go where all your favorite D1 professional athletes go.
- 4:49SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 4:49SPEAKER_00: Like, how can you say you're a sports chiropractor when you don't actually see anybody in sports?
- 4:53SPEAKER_02: How did that idea come about?
- 4:55SPEAKER_02: You just thought about it?
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: Kinda.
- 4:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 4:57SPEAKER_00: Because I knew um, well, my husband is a retired raise rack.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: They didn't have an I.
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: So I was thinking about like, how can I serve this community of people that I know need like body work, they need the things I have.
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: How can I access them in a way that would like benefit everybody?
- 5:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 5:17SPEAKER_00: And IL.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: That's the way to do that.
- 5:19SPEAKER_00: Even when I called up my attorney to like get the paperwork done, she was like, I really like, what is this?
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: Like, what do you mean?
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm gonna have to do some research into this because I don't really know like what you're even talking about.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: So I'm like, okay, well, let me know.
- 5:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah, put it together, came out pretty cool.
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: So yeah, I can see any razorback that's on any team, walk on men's, women's, scholarship, whatever.
- 5:40SPEAKER_00: And it's even extended now as of this year to the spirit squads.
- 5:44SPEAKER_02: Get out.
- 5:45SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's pretty cool.
- 5:47SPEAKER_02: That is pretty cool.
- 5:48SPEAKER_02: Shout out to Essence Chiropractic, put a commercial right here, you know what I'm saying?
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, or something.
- 5:52SPEAKER_02: I feel like you're trailblazing in some ways.
- 5:55SPEAKER_00: Yeah, just kind of make stuff up and just see how it goes.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: Like with you.
- 5:59SPEAKER_00: And I was like, hey, I want to come sponsor your event.
- 6:01SPEAKER_00: And you were like, what do you mean?
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: And I was like, I just do.
- 6:04SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I did say that.
- 6:06SPEAKER_03: You were like, what are you talking about?
- 6:08SPEAKER_03: What's up?
- 6:08SPEAKER_03: Like, so backstory, give it, let the let ever let the people know what happened.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: Okay, so me being this community pillar, you know, I mostly just like to go do stuff.
- 6:19SPEAKER_00: I just like doing stuff.
- 6:20SPEAKER_00: So I saw that you had an event coming up.
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: I was like, I don't know this person at all.
- 6:24SPEAKER_00: Hmm, this seems reasonable.
- 6:26SPEAKER_00: Is that how we met?
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: I think I don't think I met you in real life until that day.
- 6:31SPEAKER_00: Because I knew Mariah.
- 6:33SPEAKER_02: I didn't even make that connection.
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: I think I knew Mariah.
- 6:35SPEAKER_00: So I was like, hmm, I am one degree away from this person.
- 6:38SPEAKER_02: I can make this work.
- 6:40SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 6:41SPEAKER_02: That is how we met.
- 6:42SPEAKER_00: I think so.
- 6:43SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: I think so.
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: And so I was like, okay, cool.
- 6:46SPEAKER_00: So I was like, Instagram, hello, I am this person.
- 6:50SPEAKER_00: I want to do this thing.
- 6:51SPEAKER_00: And he was like, question mark?
- 6:52SPEAKER_00: Like, what?
- 6:53SPEAKER_00: Like, okay, weird.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: It was like, cool that you want to be a sponsor, I guess, but like, what do you mean?
- 6:58SPEAKER_00: Like, uh, I adjust people.
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: I want to just make sure everybody is like, you know, game day ready.
- 7:02SPEAKER_00: Even though it's in the game, it's you know, performance, live performances.
- 7:06SPEAKER_00: But um, yeah.
- 7:07SPEAKER_00: I was like, that seems cool, so we did it.
- 7:10SPEAKER_02: People still talk about that.
- 7:11SPEAKER_02: Really?
- 7:11SPEAKER_02: Still to this day.
- 7:13SPEAKER_02: Literally, literally.
- 7:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 7:14SPEAKER_02: I was on the phone with somebody earlier today, and I'm like, yeah, you know the one that was adjusting people at Bangin' the Gang?
- 7:18SPEAKER_02: I was like, oh, okay, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 7:21SPEAKER_02: Um is being a business owner harder or easier than I would think?
- 7:27SPEAKER_00: And why?
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: Um I think it's harder than people think, only in the sense that like I think it's both.
- 7:36SPEAKER_00: It's easier than people think in the sense that anyone can do it.
- 7:38SPEAKER_00: Like, you don't have to be like a certified someone to like own a business, but also harder than you think because like I am always working.
- 7:47SPEAKER_00: There is not a day that I'm just like, oh, I don't have to look at my phone or my laptop or whatever, you know.
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: My office could be on fire and I would need to know that.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: There's no like for real like days off.
- 7:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's the only thing.
- 7:59SPEAKER_00: So it's really just more about like time management and also being able to like build a strong team around you that can support you whenever you are not there.
- 8:08SPEAKER_02: I want to talk about that.
- 8:09SPEAKER_02: Let's for those who don't know, let's talk about what you do, like your actual business and everything that it entails and encompasses, even down to the cosmetic services.
- 8:19SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, it's a whole thing.
- 8:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I do a lot, I do a lot of things.
- 8:22SPEAKER_00: Oh, I also forgot to say with sports, I also work with straight right boxing.
- 8:25SPEAKER_00: Let's go.
- 8:26SPEAKER_00: So that's pretty cool.
- 8:27SPEAKER_00: Um, they have some like for real world-class athletes over there.
- 8:31SPEAKER_00: Um, the Arkansas Silver Gloves, so that's like the kid version of Golden Gloves.
- 8:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 8:36SPEAKER_00: Um, she is my patient.
- 8:39SPEAKER_02: Shout out to straight right boxing.
- 8:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah, she's a minor, or I would say her name.
- 8:43SPEAKER_02: But shout out to you.
- 8:44SPEAKER_02: You know who you are.
- 8:44SPEAKER_02: You know who you are.
- 8:45SPEAKER_00: You're a killer.
- 8:47SPEAKER_00: Actually, yeah.
- 8:48SPEAKER_00: But anyway, what does Essence have?
- 8:50SPEAKER_00: So in November, we transitioned from just Essence Chiropractic to Essence Wellness now.
- 8:55SPEAKER_00: So we have chiropractic, massage, mental health services, holistic health training, functional Pilates.
- 9:02SPEAKER_00: There's aesthetics, so that'd be like waxing lashes, facials.
- 9:07SPEAKER_00: There's um a couple of new services that actually by the time this comes out, the new services will be there.
- 9:12SPEAKER_00: There will be nails there.
- 9:13SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 9:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 9:14SPEAKER_00: I love a nail, it's great.
- 9:16SPEAKER_00: And then we also have our own digital x-ray.
- 9:18SPEAKER_00: Um, we have functional strength coaching and nutrition as well.
- 9:23SPEAKER_00: And there's also a doula group in there.
- 9:26SPEAKER_02: So when it comes to wellness, like y'all really cornering the market.
- 9:29SPEAKER_00: Like, yeah, like why not have everything?
- 9:30SPEAKER_02: That's literally everything.
- 9:31SPEAKER_02: Like, I can't think of nothing that y'all don't have.
- 9:34SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 9:34SPEAKER_00: And if I don't have it, like I do have a wide network of people that I trust to send you there if we need to.
- 9:40SPEAKER_02: You started this at the very beginning, essence chiropractic.
- 9:44SPEAKER_02: Who was the team at that point?
- 9:45SPEAKER_02: Like me.
- 9:46SPEAKER_02: It was just you when you started.
- 9:48SPEAKER_00: My first day in office, there were two people there.
- 9:51SPEAKER_00: Well, three people, I guess.
- 9:52SPEAKER_00: My very first patient ever, me, and my husband who came by in the morning and took my picture the first day I ever worked.
- 9:58SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 9:58SPEAKER_00: And that was it.
- 9:59SPEAKER_02: Shout out to the husband.
- 10:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's pretty cool.
- 10:02SPEAKER_00: Um yeah, it was just me for a long time.
- 10:05SPEAKER_00: No team, just vibes.
- 10:07SPEAKER_00: Looking back, very chaotic, but like when you can't afford staff, what are you supposed to do?
- 10:11SPEAKER_00: I wasn't even paying myself.
- 10:12SPEAKER_02: What year are we talking?
- 10:14SPEAKER_00: 20, 23.
- 10:15SPEAKER_00: Summer.
- 10:17SPEAKER_02: How big is your team now?
- 10:20SPEAKER_00: Well, okay, so I've got let's see, myself.
- 10:25SPEAKER_00: Then I have one, two, three, four, like staff people, I guess, like full-time reception, whatever people.
- 10:35SPEAKER_00: And then I have four massage therapists, one esthetician, a cosmetologist, a dual team has three people.
- 10:45SPEAKER_00: But they're like their own entity, like within my thing.
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: So I'll just count them as one.
- 10:49SPEAKER_00: Pilates, I guess, I'll count as one.
- 10:52SPEAKER_00: And then I think that's it.
- 10:53SPEAKER_00: Oh, and then I have like 10 interns.
- 10:56unknown: Wow.
- 10:57SPEAKER_00: So like 15, yeah, 20, probably.
- 11:00SPEAKER_02: It's that seems like a bigger number than one.
- 11:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 11:04SPEAKER_02: You know?
- 11:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 11:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 11:06SPEAKER_00: We're doing numbers over here.
- 11:08SPEAKER_00: It's really crazy.
- 11:09SPEAKER_02: So it's two things that I'm curious about from your perspective.
- 11:13SPEAKER_02: The first thing is I think sometimes people don't understand even that first part of what you just said.
- 11:21SPEAKER_02: I was a team of one, not even taking home a paycheck.
- 11:24SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 11:24SPEAKER_02: But you're doing work, you know, paycheck worthy things, but you weren't able to pay yourself at that point.
- 11:30SPEAKER_02: And then you got to a point where you were able to pay yourself and then build a team, and you're at this point that you are today.
- 11:39SPEAKER_02: Take us through that journey a little bit.
- 11:40SPEAKER_02: Like, how do you first start even, you know, hiring people?
- 11:44SPEAKER_02: Who do you know how to hire?
- 11:46SPEAKER_02: How do you build the team?
- 11:47SPEAKER_02: Because the team is an extension of you.
- 11:49SPEAKER_02: And so, you know, let's big time.
- 11:52SPEAKER_00: So, my main core employees, like all the people that do the like behind the scenes, the scheduling, they answer the phone, they they do all those things.
- 12:00SPEAKER_00: Actually, all the ones I have now are former interns that I had when they were in college.
- 12:06SPEAKER_00: And so most of them, actually, all of them, except one, all of them are either like in grad school, like preparing for like the next thing.
- 12:15SPEAKER_00: That's why they I still have them.
- 12:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 12:17SPEAKER_00: Except for one, Lucas, but he's like a certified personal trainer.
- 12:19SPEAKER_00: He's like my one of my functional rehab guys.
- 12:21SPEAKER_00: So he's like, this is his like this is his thing.
- 12:23SPEAKER_00: It's awesome.
- 12:24SPEAKER_00: He's locked in.
- 12:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he's like a super big gym guy.
- 12:26SPEAKER_00: He's always like, Whoa, your wrist wouldn't hurt so much if you were doing this or blah blah blah.
- 12:31SPEAKER_00: Like, patients love him, he's super smart.
- 12:33SPEAKER_00: Cool guy.
- 12:34SPEAKER_00: He also has his bachelor's in exercise science.
- 12:35SPEAKER_00: That's how I met him because he was my intern.
- 12:38SPEAKER_00: So I think just uh identifying the people that want to be there is the best part of having a great staff.
- 12:46SPEAKER_00: Because you can, of course, no one will love your business as much as you do, but you need to find people that understand the mission and are interested and incentivized to help you get to the end.
- 12:57SPEAKER_00: Whatever that is.
- 12:58SPEAKER_00: And I think that's the biggest thing is like people will just hire people to hire people.
- 13:01SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, no, if you're not like 100% team essence, then like I honestly would rather you not work here.
- 13:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 13:07SPEAKER_00: But like if you're not with us for real, then you're obviously against us.
- 13:09SPEAKER_00: So and then also I think the other part about like having a great staff is like treating your staff well.
- 13:15SPEAKER_00: So like we do like staff lunches, I take them places, we go on little like trips and incentivize things.
- 13:21SPEAKER_00: All of my employees get um a free monthly benefit.
- 13:24SPEAKER_00: So whether they want to get a facial massage, whatever they want, they get to pick something, a service for free.
- 13:29SPEAKER_02: Every month.
- 13:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 13:30SPEAKER_00: And then of course I get addressed in whenever they want or need.
- 13:34SPEAKER_00: Same with like their like immediate family, things like that.
- 13:36SPEAKER_02: So you adjust the family?
- 13:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 13:40SPEAKER_02: Off the string.
- 13:41SPEAKER_00: I mean, yeah.
- 13:42SPEAKER_02: Like of course, who would?
- 13:43SPEAKER_00: If your house is, yeah, like what do you mean?
- 13:45SPEAKER_00: If your house is not together and you're gonna bring all that to my office at my house?
- 13:51SPEAKER_00: No, no.
- 13:53SPEAKER_00: To maintain the like aura of peace around me, the people that enter my space must be as calm as I am.
- 14:00SPEAKER_00: So it's really like for me, it's not really for them.
- 14:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because getting adjusted like is nervous system regulation.
- 14:06SPEAKER_00: So everyone is just like at a more baseline.
- 14:09SPEAKER_00: Of course, there will be like peaks and valleys, people have things, you know, life life, school, schools, things like that.
- 14:15SPEAKER_00: But by doing regular adjusting on everybody, it just kind of helps.
- 14:18SPEAKER_00: It's like it's a minus one thing, you know.
- 14:21SPEAKER_02: You know, we we laugh and joke all the time because you've adjusted almost everyone in my family.
- 14:26SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 14:27SPEAKER_02: Literally from my grandmother down to like my two-year-old nephews.
- 14:31SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 14:31SPEAKER_02: And I haven't gotten adjusted.
- 14:33SPEAKER_02: And there's people out there like me for whatever reason, maybe it's time.
- 14:39SPEAKER_02: You know, maybe for some people, not me.
- 14:41SPEAKER_02: It's fear.
- 14:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's scary, not you.
- 14:42SPEAKER_00: Other people think not you, that it's scary.
- 14:45SPEAKER_02: For some people, that's not me.
- 14:46SPEAKER_02: That's scary.
- 14:47SPEAKER_00: Like other people hypothetically would be scared, not you.
- 14:50SPEAKER_00: Not me.
- 14:50SPEAKER_00: You feel me?
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 14:52SPEAKER_02: It's not scary to me, but for somebody that is afraid, yeah, you know.
- 14:55SPEAKER_00: Basically like a knight.
- 14:56SPEAKER_00: You're you're not scared of anything.
- 14:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah, right.
- 14:58SPEAKER_02: I'm a soldier.
- 15:00SPEAKER_02: So for those people, like kind of kind of demystify this for us.
- 15:05SPEAKER_02: Break break it down a little bit.
- 15:07SPEAKER_00: Okay, well.
- 15:08SPEAKER_02: You even said it's nervous system regulation.
- 15:10SPEAKER_02: Makes sense to me.
- 15:11SPEAKER_00: It's more than just like bone stuff.
- 15:13SPEAKER_00: It's like at the core, what I'm doing is trying to get your body to be able to maintain its own homeostasis for as long as possible.
- 15:22SPEAKER_00: Homeostasis is just like equilibrium, like everything is neutral, everything's good, calm waters.
- 15:28SPEAKER_00: My whole job is to keep you here, not in fight, not in flight, but in the middle.
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: And that just makes everything in your whole life more calm when your brain can think clearly.
- 15:39SPEAKER_02: Talk to me about this.
- 15:40SPEAKER_02: I saw a video of this man adjusting somewhere.
- 15:45SPEAKER_02: Sure.
- 15:46SPEAKER_02: And there was so much like tension in their body that when he got to their lower back, they started weeping.
- 15:55SPEAKER_02: Like, and the guy's freaking out.
- 15:56SPEAKER_02: He like, oh snap, I didn't mean to.
- 15:58SPEAKER_02: I'm so sorry.
- 15:59SPEAKER_02: Like, he thinks he thought he broke something, but she was like, No, I'm fine.
- 16:02SPEAKER_03: I've just been going through a lot.
- 16:05SPEAKER_02: What happened there?
- 16:07SPEAKER_00: That happened actually to someone you know that I adjusted.
- 16:11SPEAKER_02: HIPAA violation.
- 16:12SPEAKER_02: You can't say that name on camera, but tell me off camera.
- 16:14SPEAKER_00: No, it actually happened at your event.
- 16:17SPEAKER_02: They started crying?
- 16:19SPEAKER_02: What happened?
- 16:20SPEAKER_00: Basically, um uh well I guess you wouldn't know because you haven't been adjusted by me yet.
- 16:24SPEAKER_00: But when I'm doing my palpation or just like feel around over your body, I can like just sense on certain things of like tension and you know, like if you want to say like energies, you could it just like you can feel like even like for example, when you walk into a room and you can tell, like, ooh, like there's a weird vibe in here.
- 16:41SPEAKER_00: I can tell that like in your body, kind of.
- 16:43SPEAKER_00: That's what I've been trained to do.
- 16:44SPEAKER_02: So you so you can say, like, oh man, it's a weird vibe in your shoulders.
- 16:48SPEAKER_00: Kind of, I'll be like, What have you been up to?
- 16:49SPEAKER_02: Like, what are you?
- 16:50SPEAKER_00: I mean, like my staff will tell you all the time, I'll like ask people like kind of weird questions.
- 16:54SPEAKER_00: I'll be like, Are you like okay?
- 16:56SPEAKER_00: Like, is something going on?
- 16:57SPEAKER_00: Like, are you having a change in career, a change in life?
- 16:59SPEAKER_02: Like, you can feel it.
- 17:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'm like, what's going on?
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: Like, this isn't how your body normally is.
- 17:04SPEAKER_00: So something is different, and like what is that thing?
- 17:06SPEAKER_02: Give me a little chills right there as far.
- 17:08SPEAKER_00: I'm just like, hmm, like this isn't how you normally present to me.
- 17:10SPEAKER_00: So what's up?
- 17:11SPEAKER_00: Or even people I've just met, I'm like, like, is everything okay?
- 17:14SPEAKER_00: Like if you're staying over there like this.
- 17:15SPEAKER_00: Yes, yeah, they're like this, and I'm like, I'm not stressed.
- 17:18SPEAKER_00: I'm like, girl, are you kidding me?
- 17:20SPEAKER_00: Like, what?
- 17:20SPEAKER_00: But anyway, someone you know, it was their first time getting adjusted, my first time meeting this person.
- 17:26SPEAKER_00: And then I was just like, I had my adjustment table, of course, and then I had a chair, and she was like, I'm just really nervous and super scared.
- 17:32SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't know about like laying on the table.
- 17:33SPEAKER_00: I was like, okay, that's cool.
- 17:35SPEAKER_00: Let's do something that's familiar to you.
- 17:36SPEAKER_00: Sit in this chair, just sit right here.
- 17:38SPEAKER_00: And she was like, Okay, cool, whatever.
- 17:40SPEAKER_00: So I'm like doing my little thing and like feeling and all this.
- 17:42SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, ooh.
- 17:44SPEAKER_00: I was like, mm-hmm.
- 17:46SPEAKER_00: I was like, you're in my mind.
- 17:47SPEAKER_00: I didn't say this out loud because it'd be crazy and weird.
- 17:49SPEAKER_00: But I was like, oh, this is like someone's going through something over here.
- 17:52SPEAKER_00: Like, there's a lot of anxiety, maybe a lot of tension.
- 17:55SPEAKER_00: I don't know, something is going on.
- 17:57SPEAKER_00: And so I was like doing my deal, whatever.
- 17:59SPEAKER_00: And I was like, Are you okay if I like adjust you?
- 18:01SPEAKER_00: Like this here's how it's gonna go.
- 18:02SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna put your head like this and do this and this.
- 18:04SPEAKER_00: And she was like, Yeah, I think that's getting me chills.
- 18:07SPEAKER_03: You seen that?
- 18:07SPEAKER_03: Like, I'm overthinking, like, I'm feeling right.
- 18:09SPEAKER_03: I'm just like, I'm gonna go back to the city.
- 18:12SPEAKER_00: Yes, it does, it does.
- 18:13SPEAKER_00: And so I was like, okay, yeah, cool.
- 18:14SPEAKER_00: And so I adjusted her and literally, like, it was like she went, she took the biggest exhale I've ever seen, like in my entire life.
- 18:21SPEAKER_00: And she was just like, huh, like it was just like a weight was for real, like lifted off her and started crying immediately.
- 18:26SPEAKER_00: Immediately.
- 18:28SPEAKER_00: And she was like, I just been really like going through a lot and stuff.
- 18:30SPEAKER_00: And I think she had like traveled here for your event, and she was like, I had a lot going on at home, but I still came to this, and like I'm really glad that I came because like clearly, like, we needed to meet and like this needed to happen, and like da da da da da.
- 18:41SPEAKER_00: Like all these things.
- 18:41SPEAKER_00: So I was like, Yeah, like I just have this like call to serve, and I just can't like not do it.
- 18:48SPEAKER_02: You kind of in the life change business, yeah.
- 18:50SPEAKER_02: You know what I'm saying?
- 18:51SPEAKER_00: Like, I've had people walk into my office like with canes, wheelchairs, walkers, and like walk out.
- 18:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like I've had people like I had a patient one time, she came in with a cane and like literally had to come back later because she forgot it.
- 19:04SPEAKER_00: She was like, Oh my gosh, I didn't even realize I forgot it and I had to come back for it.
- 19:07SPEAKER_02: Off their first adjustment.
- 19:09SPEAKER_02: All right, so here's my question for you.
- 19:12SPEAKER_02: We're about to get deep.
- 19:13SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 19:14SPEAKER_02: Again, for those people that they're not convinced on getting adjusted right now, what are some things that people can do to kind of get to that place of homeostasis or or regulate on their own, you know, until they're ready to, you know what I'm saying?
- 19:32SPEAKER_02: Is there certain stretches that we need to be doing?
- 19:34SPEAKER_02: Should we be walking?
- 19:35SPEAKER_02: Like, what's up?
- 19:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like honestly, like a daily walk is great.
- 19:38SPEAKER_00: Just being outside in general around natural vitamin D, around nature and fresh air is actually really good for you.
- 19:46SPEAKER_00: Even I tell my patients, I'm like, what if you just went outside of your house, walked 15 minutes, and just turned around and came back?
- 19:53SPEAKER_00: So that would be 30 minutes of your time.
- 19:55SPEAKER_00: And you would maybe run into a neighbor you haven't seen, or maybe you'll, I don't know, like be like, oh, that's cool.
- 20:01SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna take a picture of this flower.
- 20:02SPEAKER_00: Whatever.
- 20:03SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 20:03SPEAKER_00: Like, do some stuff outside.
- 20:06SPEAKER_00: But even so, like just taking a break and like being with yourself and regulating in that way is really valuable to most people.
- 20:13SPEAKER_00: Because most people spend all their time in front of screens and like stuff like that.
- 20:16SPEAKER_00: Other things you can do, like yoga, meditation, just deep breathing exercises, all these things are things you can do from home.
- 20:22SPEAKER_00: You don't even have to pay anybody or go anywhere.
- 20:24SPEAKER_00: Like YouTube is free last time I checked, so you can like do all of these things like from home.
- 20:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's it's still free.
- 20:30SPEAKER_00: There's even stretches you can do, you can do Pilates at home if you want.
- 20:34SPEAKER_00: You know, be safe about it if you're you know, don't like getting yourself in a situation you can't get out of.
- 20:39SPEAKER_00: But um, there are a lot of things you can do, even like journaling is really great.
- 20:43SPEAKER_00: Um, picking up a hobby, I recommend a lot of my patients to like do something for fun outside of work every day.
- 20:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah, whether not even I'm saying you have to spend like an hour, but you could even just spend like, oh, I'm gonna spend you know, 15 minutes before I go to bed, I'm gonna read a book.
- 20:58SPEAKER_00: It doesn't have to be like a law, it's not a race, it's not any of that.
- 21:00SPEAKER_00: It's literally just for you.
- 21:01SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 21:02SPEAKER_00: A craft, something, something for yourself.
- 21:05SPEAKER_02: I love that.
- 21:06SPEAKER_00: Make a nice meal.
- 21:07SPEAKER_02: Yeah, get you a PB and J.
- 21:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 21:10SPEAKER_00: I like those.
- 21:11SPEAKER_00: Uncrestable, something something, anything.
- 21:13SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 21:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 21:14SPEAKER_02: How do you, as a business owner, as a wife, as all of the things, like what's your routine, you know what I mean?
- 21:25SPEAKER_00: To honestly, like it sounds really crazy, but like the way my cup gets full is by filling other people's.
- 21:35SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 21:36SPEAKER_00: Like seeing other people be their best is like the best to me.
- 21:39SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 21:40SPEAKER_00: So like there's anything I can do, even if it's just like, hey, here's like a contact of someone that might be able to help you, or like I have the time to go have 30 minutes of coffee with this person, or it will take me nothing to you know, like let a student come shadow me, something like that.
- 21:57SPEAKER_00: I'm just like, of course, of course I can't.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 22:00SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: And for them, like for all I know, that student that came and shadowed me for a day, now they're on their way to become a chiropractor.
- 22:07SPEAKER_00: Who knows?
- 22:08SPEAKER_00: Well, I do know he's doing it right now.
- 22:10SPEAKER_00: But yeah, it's happening.
- 22:12SPEAKER_00: He's actively doing it right now.
- 22:13SPEAKER_02: So crazy.
- 22:16SPEAKER_02: What's the mission?
- 22:16SPEAKER_02: You said the biggest thing is people who are passionate about the mission.
- 22:23SPEAKER_02: Um what is the the mission of wellness?
- 22:27SPEAKER_02: I mean of uh essence wellness.
- 22:29SPEAKER_00: At Essence, our biggest thing, well, we have a little like slogan, if you will.
- 22:34SPEAKER_00: And it's minor changes, major impact.
- 22:37SPEAKER_00: So we're not doing a lot, but it's just like little things that really, you know, people appreciate.
- 22:42SPEAKER_00: So like when you come into our office, they're gonna be like, Good afternoon, bang.
- 22:45SPEAKER_00: Like, you know, great, like whatever.
- 22:47SPEAKER_00: And you're like, I'm here to do whatever I'm doing.
- 22:49SPEAKER_00: And they're like, Great, let me go see if that person is ready for you.
- 22:52SPEAKER_00: Just hang out, if you'd like a drink, if you know, it's just like little stuff like that.
- 22:56SPEAKER_00: Or like, for example, one of our patients, like, we all celebrated her getting a new job yesterday.
- 23:01SPEAKER_00: Like something like that.
- 23:02SPEAKER_00: Or we had another patient she has been trying to conceive for 25 years and she's pregnant right now.
- 23:07SPEAKER_02: 25 years?
- 23:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah, she's pregnant right now.
- 23:10SPEAKER_00: She's in her 40s and she's pregnant right now.
- 23:12unknown: Wow.
- 23:13SPEAKER_00: It's like little stuff like that.
- 23:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 23:15SPEAKER_00: That's like, you know, you have no idea like how just like being kind to someone for like 10 minutes can really change the trajectory of their whole day.
- 23:23SPEAKER_02: Or their whole life.
- 23:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 23:24SPEAKER_00: You don't know.
- 23:25SPEAKER_02: You don't know.
- 23:25SPEAKER_00: You don't know.
- 23:26SPEAKER_00: Because I had a mentor tell me actually, he was like, some for some people, coming into your office and getting addressed might be their only physical touch the whole day.
- 23:34SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 23:35SPEAKER_00: Think about it.
- 23:36SPEAKER_00: Think about it.
- 23:36SPEAKER_00: Think about how many, like, if you let's imagine your beautiful wife's not at home, you don't know her, you're just a dude, and you go through your day, like, who are you interacting with like on a physical level that's not like crazy?
- 23:50SPEAKER_00: You know?
- 23:51SPEAKER_00: Like, are you hugging people?
- 23:52SPEAKER_00: Are you just handshaking them?
- 23:54SPEAKER_00: Are you, you know?
- 23:55SPEAKER_00: And you know, there is like, I think with every interaction, a transfer of energy, whether positive or negative, there is one.
- 24:00SPEAKER_00: And so why would you not want to make this a positive transfer of energy if I'm going to like put my hands on you and like impact your life?
- 24:07SPEAKER_00: It needs to be positively.
- 24:08SPEAKER_02: Essence wellness, the only hug you'll get today.
- 24:12SPEAKER_02: Maybe you like that?
- 24:14SPEAKER_02: Sure.
- 24:14SPEAKER_02: You can have it.
- 24:16SPEAKER_00: You can have it.
- 24:17SPEAKER_02: Like I I saw a post that you made.
- 24:21SPEAKER_02: Um, you said it was something along the lines of when you start posting about yourself or like taking your business serious.
- 24:28SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 24:28SPEAKER_02: And then it was like people that you know.
- 24:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and they're all like, oh, you know your little business.
- 24:33SPEAKER_02: And then haters.
- 24:35SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you know, and then you're like, basically, I I forgot the capture.
- 24:39SPEAKER_02: Let me find out.
- 24:40SPEAKER_02: It was like internet randos or something.
- 24:44SPEAKER_00: I think I said like you're my biggest fans are people with like anime characters as their like profile picture, or just as like user and then like a bunch of numbers.
- 24:53SPEAKER_02: Let's let's talk about that.
- 24:54SPEAKER_02: Let's talk about the the being a business owner and then in the social media era, you know what I mean?
- 25:01SPEAKER_02: Because like there was once a time in our lifetime where social media wasn't weighted as heavily as it is.
- 25:06SPEAKER_02: At all.
- 25:06SPEAKER_00: It was like for fun only.
- 25:07SPEAKER_02: It was really for fun.
- 25:08SPEAKER_02: Like that's it.
- 25:09SPEAKER_02: Now it's kind of the opposite.
- 25:11SPEAKER_02: Like, it's still for fun.
- 25:13SPEAKER_02: It feels required for success.
- 25:14SPEAKER_02: It feels more required.
- 25:16SPEAKER_02: And and obviously on story scaling, we kind of dive deep into how people are able to build followings, communities, you know, what to do, what not to do.
- 25:26SPEAKER_02: I think you have really figured this thing out, not social media, but being genuine, like, which is crazy.
- 25:35SPEAKER_02: Because I think now that feels like a compliment.
- 25:37SPEAKER_02: Like I was telling my buddy the other day, like, bro, you're a real person.
- 25:40SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 25:41SPEAKER_02: And that's the biggest compliment I can give somebody now.
- 25:43SPEAKER_02: Because with social media, you could be anybody.
- 25:45SPEAKER_02: You could be any, and people be anybody.
- 25:47SPEAKER_02: Like, they do.
- 25:49SPEAKER_00: They do.
- 25:50SPEAKER_02: They do.
- 25:50SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, oh.
- 25:51SPEAKER_00: No, like, oh, I'm so-and-so.
- 25:53SPEAKER_00: I'm like, no, you're not.
- 25:54SPEAKER_03: Right, like when social media first hit, and it was like, wait a second, like, James, I go to school with you, bro.
- 26:01SPEAKER_03: Like, you not little bang bangs.
- 26:03SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I'm not.
- 26:04SPEAKER_00: So for real, what?
- 26:05SPEAKER_00: We're in the suburbs.
- 26:05SPEAKER_00: Relax.
- 26:06SPEAKER_02: You know what I'm saying?
- 26:07SPEAKER_02: Like, so, anyways, I think now we're at a point where it really is a situation where people can kind of be whoever they want and they take full advantage of that.
- 26:15SPEAKER_02: But for you, it's like what you see is what you get, and you have been able to be, you know, consistent and just kind of put yourself out there.
- 26:22SPEAKER_02: And so we talked about this briefly last time, but go a little bit more in depth about like how you found your voice from an individual Dr.
- 26:32SPEAKER_02: Bree standpoint, and then from like even a business standpoint, because you got to promote yourself on a whole different level on that side of things.
- 26:39SPEAKER_02: Like, talk a little bit about that.
- 26:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so it it kind of boils down to like I need to make sure that everything I'm putting out represents me and my business the best way possible at all times.
- 26:52SPEAKER_00: So, like, does this fit in the voice of someone who works at Essence?
- 26:58SPEAKER_00: Yes or no?
- 26:59SPEAKER_00: Whether it be like the type of song I pick for the background, whether it be like the content of it, like is there gonna be I don't I don't even know.
- 27:07SPEAKER_02: Like you gotta think about all of that.
- 27:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah, there's like all kinds of levels to everything.
- 27:11SPEAKER_00: Like it's just like how long is the video?
- 27:13SPEAKER_00: This and that, like the wording and the phrasing, like what's in the caption, do those words equal the theme of like what you're trying to convey?
- 27:19SPEAKER_00: So like it's like somebody told me one time, it's like if they took all of your content and they're like dominoes and they're just like laying out on a table and they picked one up, would they be able to understand who you are from that?
- 27:28SPEAKER_02: Oh say that again.
- 27:31SPEAKER_00: There's a table with dominoes, right?
- 27:33SPEAKER_00: We've seen, we know those.
- 27:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and if you just picked, and that's all these dominoes represent every piece of content you've ever put out picture, video, a LinkedIn post, whatever.
- 27:43SPEAKER_00: Can someone pick up any of them, random one, and look at it and be like, I totally understand who Bang is off this one piece.
- 27:51SPEAKER_04: They should be able to.
- 27:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 27:55SPEAKER_00: My marketing guy, my chief marketing officer, Tucker, actually, he was I asked him, I was like, what should I like wear to this?
- 28:01SPEAKER_00: And he was like, Your scrubs, obviously, because that's like how people know who you are.
- 28:06SPEAKER_01: Shout out to Tucker.
- 28:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's my dog.
- 28:07SPEAKER_01: He's doing some good work over there.
- 28:09SPEAKER_00: He is, he's doing stuff.
- 28:11SPEAKER_00: He he designed my whole website.
- 28:12SPEAKER_00: Um, he kind of created this like this package that a public package that people see.
- 28:17SPEAKER_00: I mean, of course I've been me the whole time, but he's been my best friend for like over a decade.
- 28:20SPEAKER_00: So he's like, I really understood how to like take the pieces of you and like project it to where other people can see what you're trying to say succinctly, yeah, quickly and understand.
- 28:30SPEAKER_00: Like I'm going to probably use the similar fonts in all of my content.
- 28:34SPEAKER_00: I'm probably going to have the same stuff on in the same vibe in regards to like I'm going to wear certain colors, I'm going to use certain things, I'm going to be with certain people usually.
- 28:45SPEAKER_00: And you know, people have kind of started to like associate like the characters of my life with my business as well.
- 28:51SPEAKER_00: So that's another part, like back to the staff part.
- 28:53SPEAKER_00: Like, I need people that are representing me in their best light all the time.
- 28:56SPEAKER_00: Like, if you're like doing this and that, and you know, whoop-de-woop, uh, you can't be a part of this, and like, ugh, because like people know that you're over here, right?
- 29:04SPEAKER_00: That means that over here we do that, right?
- 29:05SPEAKER_00: And we don't do that.
- 29:06SPEAKER_00: So yeah, it's just kind of part of like maintaining this idea in like reality as much as possible.
- 29:15SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 29:15SPEAKER_00: To make sure what I'm thinking is going on in here is what everyone is perceiving out there.
- 29:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 29:20SPEAKER_00: That's kind of the biggest part of like being on social media, I think.
- 29:24SPEAKER_00: And then also, I just don't really have time to be like multiple personalities, honestly.
- 29:28SPEAKER_00: So I'm like, oh, like you're lucky I recorded anything, honestly.
- 29:32SPEAKER_02: I'm like, uh You talked about that last time.
- 29:34SPEAKER_02: Like, you don't got time to fake the funk.
- 29:36SPEAKER_02: I don't.
- 29:37SPEAKER_00: I don't have time to like be this like Dr.
- 29:38SPEAKER_00: B person and then like be actual me.
- 29:41SPEAKER_00: I'm like, look, I'm like actually working, I have like a real job.
- 29:43SPEAKER_00: So like I don't be, I don't know.
- 29:45SPEAKER_00: And I feel like there are of course like people that like want to be seen in a certain light or like whatever.
- 29:50SPEAKER_00: I just think that's not like representative.
- 29:52SPEAKER_00: Like, I let people know like when things are happening, like my office was robbed twice last year, and I was very public about that, and like what was going on with it, and how I was like handling the situation, and I think people found that really insightful, and like, wow, like maybe you're like this and all like amazing and magical rainbows and nonsense that people think it is.
- 30:11SPEAKER_00: I'm like, yeah, like kind of sucks over here, low-key.
- 30:13SPEAKER_00: Like I got robbed twice.
- 30:16SPEAKER_00: Like, I got robbed twice right before Christmas.
- 30:17SPEAKER_00: Like, what?
- 30:18SPEAKER_00: Like, hello, one of them was literally during Thanksgiving, so like lit.
- 30:22SPEAKER_00: Came back from Thanksgiving break and all the stuff from my office was gone.
- 30:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I was like, awesome, very cool.
- 30:30SPEAKER_00: So, um, yeah, like there are hard things, of course, but I don't think that the cons like are outweighing the pros in this situation.
- 30:39SPEAKER_00: And that's also how I think that you know that the situation is for you when it's like in ease.
- 30:44SPEAKER_00: If this was like exceedingly difficult, I wouldn't do it.
- 30:47SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you talked about like the flow state last time.
- 30:49SPEAKER_02: You were saying if you're having to apply too much of your own and you just feel like you're having to keep turning through, not that you want to encounter turbulence, but if it's if every day is a battle, like hello, you're not winning the award.
- 31:02SPEAKER_00: You're not, you're not.
- 31:03SPEAKER_00: Like the numbers don't add up.
- 31:05SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 31:06SPEAKER_00: If it's like, you know, like national champion conference game, you you know, you they the other team already won five games.
- 31:12SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 31:13SPEAKER_02: You gotta get into something different.
- 31:15SPEAKER_00: There's no way that you're gonna win that series.
- 31:17SPEAKER_00: So, you know, you gotta know.
- 31:18SPEAKER_00: I think it's just as important to know like when something is not for you.
- 31:22SPEAKER_00: And I think too many people cling to things that are not for them because they're afraid to like take a risk to find what really is.
- 31:28SPEAKER_00: They're like, this is okay.
- 31:29SPEAKER_00: I'm fine with being three out of five.
- 31:31SPEAKER_00: I'd rather be three out of five than be zero, maybe.
- 31:33SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 31:34SPEAKER_00: Not me.
- 31:35SPEAKER_02: Right back.
- 31:36SPEAKER_02: You said what?
- 31:37SPEAKER_00: Um, I think too many people are just okay with being okay because they don't want to run the risk of like complete failure.
- 31:44SPEAKER_00: But I think the people that are the most successful are not afraid to fail.
- 31:48SPEAKER_00: I'm not afraid to like hit zero because I know that's gonna spring me forward back to five.
- 31:54SPEAKER_00: Or maybe that three that you're at isn't really where you should be at.
- 31:57SPEAKER_00: That three will never be five.
- 31:58SPEAKER_00: Ever.
- 31:59SPEAKER_00: No matter what you put in, it will never be five.
- 32:01SPEAKER_00: So, like, are you fine with that?
- 32:02SPEAKER_00: If you're fine with that, then fine.
- 32:03SPEAKER_00: If you like it, I love it.
- 32:04SPEAKER_02: But yeah, I hate it.
- 32:06SPEAKER_02: So Yeah.
- 32:07SPEAKER_02: If you like it, I love it, but actually I hate it.
- 32:09SPEAKER_00: I actually hate it for you, and I'm gonna hope that you change your mind.
- 32:12SPEAKER_02: How do you?
- 32:13SPEAKER_02: I think that's profound.
- 32:15SPEAKER_02: I talked to our founder of this company a lot about that, about this idea of like, I mean, exactly what you just said, you know, there is a fear that comes with being entrepreneur, a business owner.
- 32:26SPEAKER_02: Putting yourself out there on social media big time.
- 32:29SPEAKER_02: It's a risk every day.
- 32:29SPEAKER_02: But it's a risk every day, one way or another.
- 32:32SPEAKER_02: How do you lean into that risk?
- 32:35SPEAKER_02: Like, how do you you know what I'm saying?
- 32:37SPEAKER_02: Like, digging up.
- 32:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I just kind of take everything like with a grain of salt.
- 32:40SPEAKER_00: My first viral video actually on TikTok was because people were actually like fully being so mean to me.
- 32:46SPEAKER_00: Like my TikTok got monetized in three days because people were like, You're not a real doctor, this is made up.
- 32:53SPEAKER_00: Um, there's no way someone that looks like you is a doctor, which is crazier.
- 32:58SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, God forbid, like we like learn how to we get a curly haircut and so.
- 33:03SPEAKER_02: I forget I'm lit, I'm turned.
- 33:05SPEAKER_00: Like, I can't be shorter or look different.
- 33:07SPEAKER_00: I don't know what that's about, but like haters mad, I guess.
- 33:12SPEAKER_00: But anyway, yeah, one of my most like viral videos ever on TikTok.
- 33:17SPEAKER_00: I was actually on my way to my best friend's wedding.
- 33:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and so I had my bridesmaid's dress on, and we're it's a destination thing.
- 33:24SPEAKER_00: We're driving there.
- 33:25SPEAKER_00: I don't know how far it is.
- 33:26SPEAKER_00: I was like, look, we should probably stop for gas.
- 33:27SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't know.
- 33:28SPEAKER_00: This seems like anti-survival to like go somewhere we don't know where we're going and like not have gas.
- 33:33SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 33:33SPEAKER_00: So that's how we ended up in the gas station.
- 33:35SPEAKER_00: If you guys go on my TikTok, you'll see what I'm talking about.
- 33:38SPEAKER_00: But anyway, I was like, Well, this is my last chance to like check myself before we get to this outside wedding.
- 33:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah, sap my phone, propped it up on something, I don't even know, something inside that little gas station.
- 33:49SPEAKER_00: And I was like, let me make sure my life is together and was.
- 33:53SPEAKER_00: So, of course, now there's a little clip of it that exists.
- 33:56SPEAKER_00: I was like, this is silly.
- 33:58SPEAKER_00: Like, who else ever is in a bridesmaid's dress, like clearly in the donut aisle of a gas station?
- 34:03SPEAKER_00: It's silly.
- 34:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I like being silly.
- 34:06SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 34:07SPEAKER_02: My driving factor in life is like how silly goose can you get without people being like, okay, like But see, I think But I think that works, it works so well because in marketing they teach you like you want to show authority, like you actually know what you're talking about, and you also want to be relatable in the page.
- 34:28SPEAKER_02: At the same time, yeah.
- 34:29SPEAKER_02: And you do both really well.
- 34:30SPEAKER_00: Like I'm just a normal person that happens to study.
- 34:34SPEAKER_00: I just happen to spend eight years studying one thing.
- 34:37SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 34:37SPEAKER_00: Like people ask me like what my hobbies are and stuff, and for a long time I was like, this is my hobby, this is what I spent all my time doing.
- 34:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 34:44SPEAKER_00: So God forbid I know a thing or two about it because I mean, if someone asked you about your hobby, I'm sure you would like to know stuff about it.
- 34:52SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 34:52SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I spent the last decade of my life pouring into this.
- 34:56SPEAKER_00: Literally, it's like if somebody came and asked you about like beats or something, you'd be like, I don't know.
- 35:00SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 35:01SPEAKER_00: Wrong.
- 35:01SPEAKER_00: You would be like, actually.
- 35:02SPEAKER_00: You know, it's weird.
- 35:04SPEAKER_02: To your point, this year will make it'll be 20 years since I recorded my first song.
- 35:09SPEAKER_02: What?
- 35:10SPEAKER_02: 20.
- 35:10SPEAKER_02: And I'm just I'm looking back and I'm like, dang, bro.
- 35:12SPEAKER_02: Like, first of all, I'm unk and I'm okay with that.
- 35:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 35:15SPEAKER_02: You know, but second of all, like, man, I've done this longer than I've done anything else in my life.
- 35:20SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 35:20SPEAKER_02: You know what I mean?
- 35:21SPEAKER_00: But how could you not be an expert or at least know something?
- 35:23SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 35:24SPEAKER_00: So people just like are so flabbergasted.
- 35:26SPEAKER_00: Like, every time I start talking, I'm like, what do y'all think I've been doing this whole time?
- 35:30unknown: Yeah.
- 35:30SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't understand.
- 35:32SPEAKER_00: Like, I have literally been in school since up until actually, let me think.
- 35:37SPEAKER_00: My last day of school, I was 24.
- 35:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 35:41SPEAKER_00: So I literally spent my entire life, 24 years of it, learning stuff.
- 35:46SPEAKER_00: So why would you think I know nothing?
- 35:48SPEAKER_02: You think I just wear scrubs?
- 35:49SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like what?
- 35:50SPEAKER_00: I'm just wearing like functional coveralls every day because World War II preparedness?
- 35:56SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 35:57SPEAKER_00: Just giving Rosie River, fine.
- 35:59SPEAKER_00: But like, I think I would pick cheaper scrubs if I was just gonna wear them.
- 36:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's just it doesn't make sense to me.
- 36:06SPEAKER_00: I just, you know, I slide on my croc one foot at a time, like everyone else.
- 36:10unknown: Nothing.
- 36:12SPEAKER_00: I build Legos on the weekends.
- 36:14SPEAKER_00: I'm literally just a normal person.
- 36:16SPEAKER_00: People are like, wow, you're so late, you're so cool.
- 36:18SPEAKER_00: I'm like, well, also the other thing is social media just shows like a slice of my actual life.
- 36:24SPEAKER_00: I do cool things, yeah, but I also have like put myself in a position to like receive cool things.
- 36:31SPEAKER_00: But like this like abundance mindset.
- 36:34SPEAKER_00: I think when was this?
- 36:36SPEAKER_00: I want to say it was like right at my first anniversary of my office.
- 36:40SPEAKER_00: So it would have been like 2024, I guess.
- 36:44SPEAKER_00: And I was like, this year that my office is open, I want to adjust a famous person.
- 36:49SPEAKER_00: That's what I decided.
- 36:51SPEAKER_00: What who was a famous person?
- 36:52SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 36:53SPEAKER_00: It's a famous person.
- 36:54SPEAKER_00: And that year, I like led me down a series of paths of famous people.
- 37:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Shaqill O'Neal.
- 37:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that did happen.
- 37:02SPEAKER_00: Um, um, I didn't adjust him, but we did meet, but yeah, yeah.
- 37:06SPEAKER_00: Just you know, entering like happenstances, actually crazy.
- 37:11SPEAKER_00: I'm pretty sure.
- 37:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah, the reason I was in that scenario is because I did Bangin' the Gang with you.
- 37:16SPEAKER_00: Because I met Shaq through Spider.
- 37:19SPEAKER_00: And I think I met him that day.
- 37:21SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 37:22SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 37:23SPEAKER_00: Crazy.
- 37:24SPEAKER_00: Because I volunteered my time.
- 37:25SPEAKER_02: You know, there's a couple of things that you're touching on.
- 37:28SPEAKER_02: You're getting into some deep water here.
- 37:30SPEAKER_02: Let's go there.
- 37:31SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 37:31SPEAKER_02: It's really important what you tell yourself.
- 37:35SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 37:35SPEAKER_02: Right?
- 37:36SPEAKER_02: Because your perspective, you hear people say all the time, whether you think you can do something or whether you think you can't do something, you're exactly right.
- 37:43SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 37:43SPEAKER_02: And so if you do have this perspective of like, man, I want to adjust a famous person, or I will adjust a famous person, or I do adjust famous people, then now your brain is looking for those things to be true.
- 37:56SPEAKER_02: You know what I mean?
- 37:56SPEAKER_00: Confirming what you just said.
- 37:57SPEAKER_02: It's already confirmed.
- 37:58SPEAKER_02: Like your brain don't know the difference.
- 37:59SPEAKER_00: It don't you're like, yeah, okay, totally.
- 38:02SPEAKER_02: Yeah, like your brain don't know if your clientele is only famous or if they're only regular.
- 38:06SPEAKER_02: Right, or they just normal.
- 38:07SPEAKER_02: It just knows what you tell it.
- 38:08SPEAKER_02: And so, like, if you tell somebody, you know, or if I if I think Dr.
- 38:12SPEAKER_02: Bree's upset before you even get in here, if I'm like, are you too mad?
- 38:15SPEAKER_04: Why should you look like that?
- 38:16SPEAKER_02: No matter what you do, you can come in here and be like, I'm gonna be like that.
- 38:21SPEAKER_03: Why she fakes my brother?
- 38:22SPEAKER_03: Like, what she hates me.
- 38:25SPEAKER_00: But yeah, it's really that's what it is.
- 38:27SPEAKER_00: Like, my patient, I just I told you about that, just got her new job.
- 38:31SPEAKER_00: She was like, Oh, I hope I get it.
- 38:32SPEAKER_00: And I was like, No, when you have your new job, like this is your job already.
- 38:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like it's literally happening.
- 38:37SPEAKER_00: And she's um, I would say she's probably like in her 50s.
- 38:40SPEAKER_00: And I was like having this like little pep talk with her because she was feeling like the position I'm in at my job, like I just really feel like it's like stagnant, whatever, whatever.
- 38:47SPEAKER_00: So she was able to like get basically like a work from home, like remote job with like more flexibility and freedom.
- 38:53SPEAKER_00: She's big outdoorsy, like she likes camping and stuff.
- 38:56SPEAKER_00: So she was like, you know, this it was probably maybe maybe a month or so of just like, oh well, I don't know, like it's getting like I'm not sure now, it's been so long.
- 39:04SPEAKER_00: This now I'm like, no, that job is yours already.
- 39:06SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 39:06SPEAKER_00: I'm like, no, you have to say it.
- 39:07SPEAKER_00: Like it is your job.
- 39:08SPEAKER_00: And literally yesterday, like she told me, she was like, I have great news for you.
- 39:12SPEAKER_00: I got my job.
- 39:13SPEAKER_00: And I was like, the job was already yours the whole time.
- 39:15SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 39:15SPEAKER_00: And I was like, that's so exciting.
- 39:17SPEAKER_02: When love that.
- 39:21SPEAKER_02: And you did, and you gotta stand on it.
- 39:22SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 39:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, if you don't believe it, who else would?
- 39:25SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you got that belief.
- 39:27SPEAKER_02: How?
- 39:28SPEAKER_02: Like, where did that is that over time?
- 39:30SPEAKER_02: Did that come from your parents?
- 39:31SPEAKER_02: Like, how did you think?
- 39:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think it did come from my parents.
- 39:33SPEAKER_00: My mom has always been like my mom's a teacher, so you know, she's all she's been empowering youth forever.
- 39:38SPEAKER_02: Mama Brie?
- 39:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah, my mom's a teacher.
- 39:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah, she's been a teacher in inner city OKC forever.
- 39:44SPEAKER_02: She's still teaching?
- 39:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah, right now.
- 39:46SPEAKER_00: She's there right now.
- 39:47SPEAKER_00: She at school as we speak.
- 39:48SPEAKER_00: She's at school right now.
- 39:49SPEAKER_02: Shout out to Mama Dr.
- 39:50SPEAKER_02: Bree.
- 39:51SPEAKER_00: MLK middle school.
- 39:52SPEAKER_00: She's there right now.
- 39:53SPEAKER_00: Literally, right now.
- 39:55SPEAKER_00: But um, yeah, I think she's always been like, you know, like you can do whatever you want.
- 40:00SPEAKER_00: Now, actually, I think that started really before she um had us in like Girl Scouts and stuff.
- 40:06SPEAKER_00: And so it's very just like rah-rah, like girls can do whatever, like mindset, I guess.
- 40:11SPEAKER_00: So I've I've never really lived in a scenario in which I was like unable to make something happen, like make it shake.
- 40:19SPEAKER_00: And so why would you not like lean into the fact that you are capable of literally anything you want?
- 40:25SPEAKER_00: I feel like the people that capitalize on the fact that they know we're all just making stuff up every single day.
- 40:31SPEAKER_03: They're the ones, they're not more talented than I'm more capable, they just believe like that.
- 40:36SPEAKER_03: I could go do it.
- 40:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah, why not?
- 40:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 40:40SPEAKER_00: You know, and like people were like, what made you decide that you wanted to like open your own office?
- 40:44SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 40:44SPEAKER_00: I did.
- 40:45SPEAKER_00: I just woke up and decided like this is what I'm doing.
- 40:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and I just kind of committed to the path the whole time.
- 40:51SPEAKER_00: You have to be, you know, like I said earlier, no one's going to like believe in your dream more than you do.
- 40:56SPEAKER_00: And if you're showing people by your actions or by your lack of action that you don't believe in yourself, why would I spend my energy believing in you if you don't?
- 41:06SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 41:06SPEAKER_00: It's a different thing, and the fact of like sometimes people like have a low confidence.
- 41:11SPEAKER_00: That's different.
- 41:11SPEAKER_00: That's different because you can like build that up.
- 41:13SPEAKER_00: But if you don't even have the core like seed planted that you can or want to do something, I can't I can't foster just dirt.
- 41:20SPEAKER_00: Like I'm the mentorship chairperson for the American Black Chiropractic Association as well.
- 41:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's a first woman to hold that position.
- 41:29SPEAKER_03: Wow.
- 41:31SPEAKER_00: Youngest person to have that position as well.
- 41:33SPEAKER_03: But I didn't I forgot that.
- 41:35SPEAKER_03: You just told me I would have I would have threw that in there.
- 41:38SPEAKER_00: It's just a fun fact.
- 41:39SPEAKER_00: It's just a fun fact.
- 41:41SPEAKER_00: But anyway, um point being, my whole job is to like connect with students, help them transition to doctorhood, and then once you become a doctor, make sure you maintain success.
- 41:52SPEAKER_00: And then at the top of that, when the doctors who are success want to pay it forward back to the students.
- 41:59SPEAKER_00: So my whole job is to like combination with all of those people together.
- 42:04SPEAKER_00: And they always say all the time, like, you know, I can't, I'm not gonna sow the seed for you, but I'll help you foster it into something.
- 42:12SPEAKER_00: So if you don't even have the seed, like you know, the the saying with the mustard seed, if you don't even have that, I can't what am I supposed to do with just dirt?
- 42:19SPEAKER_00: I can't help you.
- 42:20SPEAKER_00: I can, you know, pour water and fertilizer on just dirt and nothing will come of it.
- 42:23SPEAKER_00: So if you don't even have the core belief that you can, there ain't nothing I could do for you.
- 42:28SPEAKER_00: Nothing.
- 42:28SPEAKER_00: So figure that out first.
- 42:30SPEAKER_00: Which I think everyone has a thing, and they just don't want to accept what the thing is.
- 42:34SPEAKER_00: They're not ready to be their best for some reason.
- 42:36SPEAKER_00: But even if you feel like you're not ready, you should still start because what does being ready mean?
- 42:41SPEAKER_02: Take the next 60 seconds and talk to that person right there, Bridge.
- 42:44SPEAKER_02: Holler at them, bruh.
- 42:45SPEAKER_02: Like I I you didn't mean too hard.
- 42:47SPEAKER_02: Just talk to them.
- 42:47SPEAKER_02: Talk to them.
- 42:48SPEAKER_00: What does being ready mean?
- 42:49SPEAKER_00: Like for real.
- 42:50SPEAKER_00: If you have the idea, then I think you're ready to do it.
- 42:55SPEAKER_00: Maybe you don't know the steps you're gonna take or the path to get there, but it's placed on your heart for a reason, and I think you should foster that.
- 43:03SPEAKER_00: Maybe you might find out that that's not the thing you should be doing.
- 43:06SPEAKER_00: Like I said earlier, that might be your three out of five, but how will you know if it's not your five if you don't even try?
- 43:11SPEAKER_00: And it's okay to try again.
- 43:13SPEAKER_00: I'd rather you try again than like just be okay, mediocre.
- 43:16SPEAKER_00: That's not that doesn't rock with me.
- 43:18SPEAKER_00: That's where that came from.
- 43:19SPEAKER_00: Both of my parents were in the army.
- 43:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we don't do just okay over here.
- 43:26SPEAKER_00: It's either like, you know, go up in a blaze of glory or you know, make it to the top.
- 43:34SPEAKER_00: But usually it's gonna make it to the top because you did everything you could to prepare adequately ahead of time.
- 43:39SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 43:40SPEAKER_00: Usually.
- 43:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I my parents were both in the army.
- 43:45SPEAKER_00: Both were my older sister too.
- 43:48SPEAKER_02: If you got the idea, you ready?
- 43:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah, how can you like, you know, you gotta do something, even if the first thing you think of is just like, I'm gonna make a vision board about this idea.
- 43:57SPEAKER_00: That's starting.
- 43:58SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 43:59SPEAKER_00: I'm not saying you have to go.
- 44:00SPEAKER_00: Like open a credit card and like get an LLC and like all this stuff, even just like fostering the idea.
- 44:05SPEAKER_00: Like, if it's just like, let's say music is your hobby, maybe let's start with like, how can I start making beats like people that I'm inspired by?
- 44:13SPEAKER_00: How can I like make my lyrics relatable?
- 44:15SPEAKER_00: How can I do this, this, this?
- 44:17SPEAKER_00: Same with chiropractic.
- 44:18SPEAKER_00: How can I, first of all, afford to do this?
- 44:20SPEAKER_00: Where's this money gonna come from to open my office?
- 44:23SPEAKER_00: What do I want people to feel when they come in my office?
- 44:26SPEAKER_00: How do I want them to leave when they are going home?
- 44:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah, what do I want people to say about my office and me when I'm not there?
- 44:32SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's a lot of mental work that you gotta do before you ever touch a person.
- 44:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 44:36SPEAKER_00: A pre is was much greater.
- 44:38SPEAKER_00: I told you, I was in school until I was 24.
- 44:40SPEAKER_00: So I, in theory, spent like 24 years coming up and matriculating this idea.
- 44:45SPEAKER_00: And then I was only able to pull the trigger on it when I did because I literally was like in chiropractic school and also doing a business like startup program at the same time.
- 44:55SPEAKER_00: That's how I did this.
- 44:57SPEAKER_00: I was actually based in Arkansas.
- 44:59SPEAKER_00: Since I knew my business was gonna open in Arkansas, I was able to use Arkansas services, I guess, to get my business started.
- 45:08SPEAKER_00: They actually didn't even know that I wasn't in Arkansas for like a little while.
- 45:12SPEAKER_00: Because it was all online.
- 45:13SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 45:14SPEAKER_00: Like email and stuff.
- 45:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like Zoom.
- 45:16SPEAKER_00: So they had no idea that I wasn't actually in Arkansas.
- 45:18SPEAKER_02: The whole time.
- 45:19SPEAKER_00: I was in school.
- 45:22SPEAKER_00: Pretty crazy.
- 45:24SPEAKER_02: What's next for you?
- 45:26SPEAKER_00: What is next for me?
- 45:28SPEAKER_00: Well, just keep rocking and rolling, really.
- 45:31SPEAKER_00: And just I just want everyone in our community to be living their best and well-list life, I guess.
- 45:38SPEAKER_00: Whatever that means for them.
- 45:39SPEAKER_00: Whether that means like I want to be able to like sit on the floor with my grandson and play with him.
- 45:44SPEAKER_00: I want to be able to paint without having pain in my low back.
- 45:48SPEAKER_00: I want to be able to, you know, enjoy reading my favorite book without getting a migraine.
- 45:53SPEAKER_00: Even if it's a small thing or even if it's a big thing.
- 45:55SPEAKER_00: I want to walk.
- 45:57SPEAKER_00: I want to be able to drive my car normally.
- 46:00SPEAKER_00: I want to, you know, not have chronic constant pain when I'm sitting or laying down or whatever.
- 46:08SPEAKER_00: I just, you know, some people come into my office not knowing what they need.
- 46:11SPEAKER_00: They just know, like, you know, like I guess a few people that come in and they're just like, oh, my friend like referred me here, my sister said I should come, whatever, whatever.
- 46:18SPEAKER_00: And then they didn't, they go, I didn't know chiropractic could do all of these things.
- 46:21SPEAKER_00: I didn't know that, you know, getting a monthly massage would like allow me to not have these pounding headaches every single day.
- 46:27SPEAKER_00: Like things like that.
- 46:28SPEAKER_00: It's just like you really don't know what someone needs for real.
- 46:31SPEAKER_00: Like, I read your intake form, of course, before you come in, but a lot of times it's way more like that's just the tip, yeah, of course.
- 46:39SPEAKER_00: So I'm just kind of rocking and rolling and showing up for people the way that everyone should show up for each other, low-key, because in these times, for real, it's like, how can you say you're for us if you're really not standing beside the people in your community?
- 46:55SPEAKER_00: Like you can be for us, like you know, from your ivory tower, but how often do you come down and see who's what's going on?
- 47:05SPEAKER_02: You ready to run for office?
- 47:06SPEAKER_02: No, not yet?
- 47:08SPEAKER_02: No might be in your future.
- 47:11SPEAKER_00: Maybe they're trying to get me in a couple of executive boards here and there.
- 47:17SPEAKER_00: We'll see.
- 47:18SPEAKER_00: I could see it.
- 47:19SPEAKER_00: We'll see.
- 47:20SPEAKER_02: You you really for the people.
- 47:21SPEAKER_02: I think that's the only actual prerequisite that you need.
- 47:24SPEAKER_02: You know, it's a lot of jargon that goes into it.
- 47:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's like, are you down or not?
- 47:26SPEAKER_02: You you for the folks or not, bro?
- 47:28SPEAKER_00: Like, for real.
- 47:29SPEAKER_00: And then do you have like the faculties to facilitate what you're talking about?
- 47:32SPEAKER_00: Because a lot of people just blow smoke, but can you actually like do the things you say you're going to do?
- 47:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 47:36SPEAKER_00: Or are you interested in actually doing those things?
- 47:38SPEAKER_02: Are you gonna stand on business or is the business gonna stand on you?
- 47:43SPEAKER_02: You know what I'm saying?
- 47:44SPEAKER_02: Basically, is what it boils down to.
- 47:45SPEAKER_00: It's tough.
- 47:46SPEAKER_00: It's like, are you wearing the outfit or we can go on?
- 47:51SPEAKER_00: Sometimes people be having stuff on, and I'm like, that's a cool fit, but it's not, you're not rocking that for real.
- 47:56SPEAKER_00: Like, you look terrible.
- 47:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like I'd wear it, but it looks terrible on you.
- 48:01SPEAKER_00: So you just gotta find the outfit that's for you.
- 48:03SPEAKER_02: I love it.
- 48:03SPEAKER_00: And rock it.
- 48:04SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 48:05SPEAKER_02: Where can we follow you support you keep up with you and know how and um I'm on Instagram and TikTok as Dr.
- 48:11SPEAKER_00: BrieCairo.
- 48:12SPEAKER_00: Um, the office is essence.cairo on both of those things.
- 48:16SPEAKER_00: Our website is essence-chiropractic.com.
- 48:20SPEAKER_00: Um, I think I have a LinkedIn.
- 48:23SPEAKER_00: Surely.
- 48:24SPEAKER_00: What did my intern set it up?
- 48:25SPEAKER_00: Actually, somewhere out there.
- 48:26SPEAKER_00: I do have it.
- 48:26SPEAKER_00: I have one.
- 48:27SPEAKER_00: Don't message me on there though, because I saw a message from LinkedIn from like eight months ago and I was like, oh.
- 48:33SPEAKER_02: There's other ways to get to me.
- 48:34SPEAKER_00: Like, don't do that one.
- 48:35SPEAKER_02: There's faster ways to get you.
- 48:36SPEAKER_00: Don't pick that one.
- 48:37SPEAKER_00: Um, but yeah, those things, those are how you can find me.
- 48:40SPEAKER_00: Or you can just come by our office in Fayetteville, 1416, North College.
- 48:43SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna get adjusted.
- 48:45SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 48:45SPEAKER_02: And I'm gonna I'm gonna give a review.
- 48:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we'll full spine x-ray you and everything.
- 48:49SPEAKER_00: We'll do the whole all my patients, all my new patients get full spine x-rays unless you're under 12 or pregnant.
- 48:56SPEAKER_02: Neither one apply to me, so I'll get the full spine.
- 48:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because like, you know, to know something 100% is what I need to do to like be your doctor.
- 49:06SPEAKER_00: To not know is a guess, and I would never guess with your health.
- 49:10SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 49:11SPEAKER_00: Like, all of my patients are too important to me to just be guessing.
- 49:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 49:15SPEAKER_00: So that's why I do extras on everybody so I can get a full snapshot.
- 49:18SPEAKER_00: Because sometimes people like forget about things that happen or they didn't even know, or like I don't know.
- 49:23SPEAKER_00: Like, I had a patient one time and they I was like, Ever been hospitalized?
- 49:26SPEAKER_00: No.
- 49:27SPEAKER_00: Ever had surgery?
- 49:28SPEAKER_00: No.
- 49:28SPEAKER_00: Do the x-ray, and I was like, when did you get those pins in your hip?
- 49:31SPEAKER_03: Bro, you didn't been hospitalized and had surgery.
- 49:34SPEAKER_00: That's what I'm saying.
- 49:34SPEAKER_00: And he was like, Oh yeah, but that was like 25 years ago.
- 49:37SPEAKER_02: That counts.
- 49:38SPEAKER_00: I that's what I'm saying.
- 49:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like hello, like what?
- 49:41SPEAKER_00: So that's why we do x-rays on everybody, just to make sure that it's gonna be like the safest thing for you.
- 49:46SPEAKER_00: I will say, statistically and technically, chiropractic is not for everybody.
- 49:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah, which like with anything, everything is not for everybody.
- 49:53SPEAKER_00: So we have to make sure 100% that it's for you before we do it.
- 49:56SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 49:57SPEAKER_02: I love that.
- 49:58SPEAKER_02: Yeah, mention first.
- 50:00SPEAKER_02: Mention this episode and save zero dollars, but still maybe you know what I'm saying?

- 50:40SPEAKER_00: Let's go.
- 50:41SPEAKER_00: We're doing it in partnership with St.

- 50:46SPEAKER_04: It's gonna be beautiful.

- 51:00SPEAKER_02: And yeah, just by showing up.
- 51:03SPEAKER_00: Tell a friend.
- 51:03SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 51:04unknown: Yeah.
- 51:05SPEAKER_02: Done.
- 51:06SPEAKER_02: Dr.
- 51:06SPEAKER_02: Bree, thanks for joining us.
- 51:08SPEAKER_02: Thanks for having me.
- 51:08SPEAKER_02: We'll see you next time.
- 51:09SPEAKER_00: Of course.
