- 0:00Speaker 1: Ben Higgins and Ashley I Bring you Infamous. Sometimes roses
- 0:05Speaker 1: are red flags. We're here with part two of talking
- 0:09Speaker 1: with some of your favorite contestants, some of our favorite
- 0:13Speaker 1: contestants about the Bachelor Mansion. We had so much fun
- 0:15Speaker 1: in part one. If you haven't listened to it, go
- 0:17Speaker 1: back and listen to it. It's just fun to hear
- 0:19Speaker 1: some of the behind the scenes the stories that have
- 0:20Speaker 1: happened at the mansions. Some things that people hope never
- 0:24Speaker 1: change and some things they hope do change within those walls.
- 0:29Speaker 1: So make sure you go back and listen to part one.
- 0:31Speaker 1: But until you do, now we have Part two coming up.
- 0:36Speaker 2: And this is a reminder that we're doing this episode
- 0:38Speaker 2: because HGTV has announced that they're doing a new competition
- 0:41Speaker 2: show with Patch Bachelor alums, and they're going to be
- 0:45Speaker 2: renovating the Bachelor Mansion.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Guy, obviously, the Bachelor Mansion is getting renovated. It just
- 0:53Speaker 1: was announced by HGTV. So we're talking a little bit
- 0:56Speaker 1: about the Bachelor Mansion today with a few guests who.
- 0:59Speaker 3: Have lived there.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Okay, Guy, we just got done talking to Rachel Rekia
- 1:05Speaker 1: and we were talking about how people work out at
- 1:07Speaker 1: the mansion. I'm assuming you did. You look like you
- 1:11Speaker 1: did at least, and so if you didn't get on you,
- 1:15Speaker 1: if you did work out the mansion, how did you
- 1:17Speaker 1: do it?
- 1:18Speaker 4: Yeah, you know what they did was on the well,
- 1:23Speaker 4: let's see if you were in the back, the back
- 1:26Speaker 4: of the area pool area to the left, and then
- 1:29Speaker 4: kind of on the side. They they were kind enough
- 1:32Speaker 4: to to get like a couple of yoga mats, some dumbbells. Actually,
- 1:39Speaker 4: Pascal actually had them order dumb bells and had them
- 1:43Speaker 4: delivered to the mansion. So we had some dumb bells
- 1:46Speaker 4: to use. Uh, some stretch bands they had there and
- 1:52Speaker 4: uh at a bench, and so you know, that's that's
- 1:58Speaker 4: where we worked out, and and.
- 2:01Speaker 5: You know, everybody was different.
- 2:03Speaker 4: I would work out every morning, uh, depending on how
- 2:06Speaker 4: much time we had, depending on what was going on
- 2:08Speaker 4: that day. Sometimes I'd be over there for thirty minutes.
- 2:13Speaker 4: Sometimes I'd be over there for two hours. And then
- 2:16Speaker 4: the pool was almost a uh a little bath pool.
- 2:22Speaker 4: It was twenty two feet long, so it was just
- 2:25Speaker 4: a you know a few feet short of a pool
- 2:28Speaker 4: you would swim in, you know, in competition. And I
- 2:32Speaker 4: had brought my goggles and my hat and I would
- 2:35Speaker 4: then get in the pool and I'd swim anywhere from
- 2:38Speaker 4: thirty minutes to an hour and a half sometimes.
- 2:42Speaker 5: And I just do laps back and forth. So that
- 2:45Speaker 5: was that was my routine.
- 2:47Speaker 4: A lot of the other guys would come over to obviously,
- 2:50Speaker 4: you know there's you know, not everybody, you know, uh
- 2:53Speaker 4: did that, but a lot of them did. And they'd
- 2:55Speaker 4: come over and you know, lift you know, we talk.
- 2:57Speaker 4: And while we were working out in one.
- 3:00Speaker 2: I found that the water was always too cold for
- 3:03Speaker 2: me to go into.
- 3:06Speaker 5: You know, I'm a water woss.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Also, okay, I'm the ultimate water woos never heard that before.
- 3:13Speaker 2: But if the temperature is below eighty two, I find
- 3:16Speaker 2: it hard to get into.
- 3:18Speaker 4: And it was below eighty two degree, it was it
- 3:23Speaker 4: seemed to warm up a little bit, and I typically
- 3:26Speaker 4: didn't get in the pool early early.
- 3:29Speaker 5: I would go in at eight o'clock in the morning.
- 3:30Speaker 4: I usually wait till it, you know, warmed up a
- 3:32Speaker 4: little bit outside and then I just I just bit
- 3:36Speaker 4: the bully and I just dove in, even though I
- 3:38Speaker 4: hate it.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Guy or you know, we're talking about the mansion. As
- 3:41Speaker 1: you think about if you give us like a few
- 3:45Speaker 1: seconds explanation of what it's like to have the Goldens
- 3:53Speaker 1: living in the mansion at the same time, we know
- 3:55Speaker 1: what it's like from the Bachelor and Bachelor that world,
- 3:59Speaker 1: But what is it like to have because I'm gonna
- 4:01Speaker 1: give some stereotypes out there, some people that are pretty
- 4:04Speaker 1: stuck in their ways, some people who have probably lived alone.
- 4:08Speaker 1: In most of the guys on the show, it seems
- 4:11Speaker 1: like or girls have are pretty well off. So they've
- 4:14Speaker 1: built this very comfortable setting for them at home. They
- 4:18Speaker 1: have their nutrition, they have their food, they have their
- 4:20Speaker 1: comfy beds, they don't have to sleep next to a
- 4:23Speaker 1: guy who's snoring. So give us an explanation of what
- 4:26Speaker 1: life looks like behind the scenes.
- 4:28Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, to start with that, I think the
- 4:31Speaker 4: thing that struck me first was that that. And I
- 4:36Speaker 4: was in the middle bedroom. So there was five of
- 4:38Speaker 4: us in this bedroom with two bunk beds in a
- 4:40Speaker 4: single bed and I was lucky enough to get the
- 4:43Speaker 4: single bed because I was the oldest of the group.
- 4:47Speaker 4: That's how we decided how to do it. It was small,
- 4:51Speaker 4: and then the bathroom was itty bitty. I mean there
- 4:55Speaker 4: was not you know, you couldn't put two people in there.
- 4:59Speaker 4: Only wait, two people was won in a shower and
- 5:01Speaker 4: wanted to sink and that was it. So so it
- 5:05Speaker 4: was very very tight quarters, you know with that, So
- 5:09Speaker 4: that was different. And then you've heard the stories about
- 5:11Speaker 4: the snoring and stuff, and that was everybody dealt with
- 5:15Speaker 4: that a different way. I had my airplugs right from
- 5:18Speaker 4: the beginning, so I was I was prepared for that
- 5:21Speaker 4: so far as uh, you know what I was really
- 5:25Speaker 4: surprised about was I thought, I thought, oh, they're going
- 5:28Speaker 4: to treat us like you know, like you know, kings,
- 5:30Speaker 4: and uh, we're gonna every morning, we're going to get
- 5:33Speaker 4: up and somebody will have made us break you know,
- 5:35Speaker 4: some kind of breakfast, you know, meal, and then the
- 5:38Speaker 4: same thing for lunch, and the same thing for dinner.
- 5:41Speaker 5: Little and I know we're gonna have to do all
- 5:43Speaker 5: this ourselves.
- 5:44Speaker 4: And so some of us, like myself, doesn't do a
- 5:49Speaker 4: lot of cooking unless you unless you consider opening a
- 5:54Speaker 4: can up cooking.
- 5:56Speaker 5: So it was it was a little bit.
- 5:59Speaker 4: Yea, it was different for me, but you know, everybody,
- 6:02Speaker 4: everybody jumped in because we had several of the guys
- 6:05Speaker 4: who were very very very good cooks, and then uh,
- 6:08Speaker 4: some of the handlers would would cook in the in
- 6:11Speaker 4: the morning and stuff like.
- 6:12Speaker 5: That, and you know, I couldn't.
- 6:15Speaker 4: I really couldn't help that way at the level that
- 6:19Speaker 4: they were cooking. But I know how, I know, wash
- 6:22Speaker 4: and dry dishes.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Oh that's nice, that's very that's very great way to contribute.
- 6:28Speaker 4: Yeah, and it allowed me time while the other guys
- 6:31Speaker 4: were doing things to to you know, to be involved
- 6:33Speaker 4: and communicate, not.
- 6:34Speaker 5: Just sit by the pool the whole time.
- 6:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:38Speaker 2: Yeah, Oh good Now, guy, it's a competition show that
- 6:42Speaker 2: they're about to do on AHGTV. What do you think
- 6:46Speaker 2: the competitors can add to the mansion to help them win?
- 6:49Speaker 4: Gosh, that would be uh. I mean, it depends on
- 6:53Speaker 4: how they how much renovation you know, they want to do,
- 6:55Speaker 4: if they're going to knock down walls or whether they're
- 6:58Speaker 4: just going to just try to fit it up. I
- 7:04Speaker 4: I clearly think there should be you know, I think
- 7:07Speaker 4: if they didn't have to use all the bedrooms downstairs,
- 7:09Speaker 4: I think it would have been really comfortable because we
- 7:12Speaker 4: would have had like two maybe three people in a
- 7:15Speaker 4: room instead of like one room had nine, we had five,
- 7:19Speaker 4: another had four, But multiple bedrooms downstairs had to.
- 7:23Speaker 5: Be lives for the video.
- 7:27Speaker 4: The audio interview rooms things like that. So and there
- 7:32Speaker 4: must have been at least four of those downstairs, so,
- 7:36Speaker 4: you know.
- 7:36Speaker 5: More bedrooms.
- 7:39Speaker 4: Probably if they could, you know, they could make them
- 7:42Speaker 4: all single beds that were you know, that were not
- 7:47Speaker 4: bunk beds, because there was a few of the guys
- 7:52Speaker 4: had a little trouble getting up to the top bunk beds.
- 7:54Speaker 5: Sometimes.
- 7:56Speaker 6: I loved my bunk bed.
- 7:57Speaker 2: My bunk bed was where I got Pacy in a
- 8:00Speaker 2: private moment and I could journal or I could just hide.
- 8:04Speaker 4: That's interesting, Yeah, because I was I was a huge
- 8:06Speaker 4: journal I journaled over a book and a half while
- 8:09Speaker 4: I was there, and I still have it and I
- 8:14Speaker 4: go back and actually I only looked at it one
- 8:17Speaker 4: time briefly. But it's something I wanted to do. It's
- 8:20Speaker 4: part of my therapy.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Actually, yeah, I still have mine as well. Hey guy,
- 8:24Speaker 1: thanks for jumping on today. We're talking about the Bachelor
- 8:26Speaker 1: Mansion with some of past favorites, so we appreciate you
- 8:31Speaker 1: coming on.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Absolutely everyone, welcome, Dot and Charity to the show. Can
- 8:46Speaker 2: I just say that your recent posts on Instagram so cute,
- 8:49Speaker 2: so sexy. You guys are such a hot period.
- 8:52Speaker 7: Thank you are anniversary less.
- 8:55Speaker 6: Yeah, Yeah.
- 8:59Speaker 2: Wow, they're young and hot.
- 9:05Speaker 3: Off the gate warm up?
- 9:06Speaker 8: Okay, all right. I thought it's a little bit like
- 9:11Speaker 8: here's what I get a top?
- 9:12Speaker 4: Now?
- 9:13Speaker 3: Just right?
- 9:14Speaker 1: Yeah, you guys are hot and sexy. That's how we
- 9:16Speaker 1: start the show. Hey, we're here today just for a
- 9:20Speaker 1: few minutes to talk to you guys about the Bachelor Mansion.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Because if you don't know, HGTV has announced that they're
- 9:25Speaker 1: renovating the Bachelor Mansion and they're using past contestants to
- 9:30Speaker 1: do the renovation. So the first is, have you two
- 9:33Speaker 1: gotten a phone call to be a part of this show?
- 9:35Speaker 7: Not yet, but listen, you've got the digits, That's what
- 9:41Speaker 7: I'm saying.
- 9:41Speaker 1: I'm like, I would really this sounds like a lot of.
- 9:44Speaker 6: I love that.
- 9:45Speaker 8: I love the concept of this.
- 9:46Speaker 3: It's crazy. What's the purpose?
- 9:48Speaker 1: Like once I think just clean it up.
- 9:51Speaker 9: Yeah, it's random, like a bunch of different Bachelor ideas,
- 9:55Speaker 9: build a house, and then what I thought it was.
- 9:57Speaker 1: No, it's the actual mansion. It's like they're literally going
- 10:00Speaker 1: to work inside the mansion. They get to come up
- 10:03Speaker 1: with all these design ideas and then there's a cash prize.
- 10:07Speaker 1: It's it's a crazy idea. I like the idea of
- 10:10Speaker 1: the show. I'll watch the show because the mansion is
- 10:13Speaker 1: like one of the most favorable moments from the whole experience.
- 10:16Speaker 2: For me, it's like a home. It's truly a second home.
- 10:19Speaker 2: It actually for you, Charity, you know, you lived in
- 10:21Speaker 2: it twice. Yeah, So off the top of your head,
- 10:27Speaker 2: what do you see that they should renovate?
- 10:29Speaker 9: Oh?
- 10:30Speaker 6: Do they tackle first? I mean, I this.
- 10:34Speaker 7: Is like pretty basic, but I hate like the wallpaper
- 10:36Speaker 7: and everything. And I don't know if it changes because
- 10:38Speaker 7: of like production or if it's like that, like you know,
- 10:41Speaker 7: when we're not filming there. But I think the color scheme,
- 10:45Speaker 7: like everything needs to like start over. It's horrible in
- 10:49Speaker 7: my opinion, doesn't.
- 10:50Speaker 6: Like she doesn't like the Mediterranean.
- 10:52Speaker 1: So the color scheme is interesting because I think one
- 10:56Speaker 1: secret that a lot of people out there don't know
- 10:58Speaker 1: is every season they come in repaint and redecorate. So
- 11:02Speaker 1: every season there they and then they'll paint it back
- 11:05Speaker 1: to what the homeowners want afterwards. So you got to think,
- 11:09Speaker 1: after how many seasons that have been filmed in that show,
- 11:12Speaker 1: how thick the walls have to be with that sounds
- 11:16Speaker 1: like it's yeah, yeah, the square footage of the house
- 11:20Speaker 1: has shrunk because the walls are like this.
- 11:25Speaker 3: Volume.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Yeah, a lot less. Now I have a huge question
- 11:29Speaker 1: because we've talked to Rachel Recky, we talked to Guy
- 11:33Speaker 1: here recently. They both brought up the bunk beds. Don
- 11:36Speaker 1: you're not a short man. I need to know what
- 11:40Speaker 1: they did for you, because you have to be probably
- 11:43Speaker 1: the tallest contestant to ever be on the show. I
- 11:46Speaker 1: don't I can't think of anybody taller. I really don't
- 11:50Speaker 1: understand how you slept in that house.
- 11:52Speaker 2: Neither your feet hung off like I feel like your
- 11:55Speaker 2: ankles hung off.
- 11:56Speaker 9: Correct. That's why it's still an ongoing lawsuit going a
- 12:03Speaker 9: lot of suit because of what they put me through.
- 12:04Speaker 9: It's crazy that was It's not a secret, so like
- 12:08Speaker 9: that's not when I wanted to share. But it's what
- 12:09Speaker 9: stick outs sticks out to me the most, and my
- 12:11Speaker 9: experience there is first of all, how small they are,
- 12:13Speaker 9: They're tiny bunk beds that I slept in when I
- 12:15Speaker 9: was like six, And how uncorable they are. They have
- 12:19Speaker 9: like plastic things on top. They go it's the easiest thing,
- 12:23Speaker 9: and you know they can do better, but for some reason,
- 12:25Speaker 9: that's what they choose, and put four or ten guys
- 12:27Speaker 9: in a room together. Not fun, especially when you have
- 12:30Speaker 9: you know, brain snoring and Josh or sound machine going.
- 12:34Speaker 3: And it's just lost. L's on all eggs as well.
- 12:38Speaker 1: And you're right, they did have I forgot they had
- 12:40Speaker 1: those plastic coverings and so if anybody rolled over in
- 12:43Speaker 1: the room you were in, you could hear them roll over.
- 12:46Speaker 2: Today, anyone fell out of bed while either of you
- 12:48Speaker 2: were filming.
- 12:49Speaker 6: I think I don't know, not for not in my room.
- 12:52Speaker 7: I was lucky to be in the room with like
- 12:54Speaker 7: where it was smaller, but there was like less girls,
- 12:56Speaker 7: so it was only like four of us.
- 13:00Speaker 6: We left the mansion.
- 13:01Speaker 7: All my roommates had Artie said goodbye, So I had you.
- 13:04Speaker 6: Had a room to yourself.
- 13:06Speaker 3: Very nice.
- 13:09Speaker 7: Yeah that's nice though, Yeah, I don't think so for me.
- 13:13Speaker 3: But I think I'm trying to remember. I know someone did,
- 13:15Speaker 3: and I'm trying to remember someone did.
- 13:17Speaker 2: I'm trying to remember the story too. I don't know
- 13:19Speaker 2: what season it was, but it was a thing. Yes,
- 13:22Speaker 2: the guys were cracking up.
- 13:23Speaker 6: It was a guy season.
- 13:24Speaker 3: Of course. That's hilarious. That's all you can hope for.
- 13:27Speaker 2: Truly, in the middle of the night, a gigantic thought
- 13:32Speaker 2: like down the very high bunk beds.
- 13:34Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, exactly, No, I need I need to text
- 13:37Speaker 9: the guys and see who that happened to, because I'm
- 13:39Speaker 9: pretty sure that happened is one on our season.
- 13:41Speaker 3: I'm just not room or not.
- 13:43Speaker 1: But now I think this is for anybody out there.
- 13:46Speaker 1: I remember in my experience, I had to bed the
- 13:48Speaker 1: bedroom up against the wall right across from the small bathroom.
- 13:53Speaker 1: There was a lot of us in there. At one point,
- 13:55Speaker 1: I think there was three different bunk beds. So eight
- 13:59Speaker 1: people are people in a small little room. And I
- 14:02Speaker 1: remember one of my I'm an only child at that
- 14:07Speaker 1: point in my life, I was living alone. What'd you say,
- 14:10Speaker 1: of course.
- 14:14Speaker 2: This kid actually Ben doesn't meet any of the only
- 14:17Speaker 2: child Yeah that no, I know.
- 14:21Speaker 3: Break on the earth.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Yeah all right, But the I remember the guys would
- 14:25Speaker 1: come in like late, right, so I'm early to bed guy,
- 14:28Speaker 1: and they would want to do like pillow talk, and
- 14:30Speaker 1: they'd be talking about like the randomest stuff. Sometimes Caitlin
- 14:33Speaker 1: sometimes like some due to be crying because he's sad
- 14:37Speaker 1: and he's emotional or whatever, and it would go on
- 14:40Speaker 1: for way too long and there's no cameras up there,
- 14:42Speaker 1: so it was a pretty safe place to like talk,
- 14:45Speaker 1: but it would keep me up way later than I
- 14:47Speaker 1: wanted to be. Do you guys remember pillow talk happening
- 14:50Speaker 1: as like twenty seven eight year old people see, like.
- 14:54Speaker 3: I don't you do the guys, Yeah, of course.
- 14:58Speaker 6: Yes to some degree.
- 14:59Speaker 7: But I'm like, I I feel like they never let
- 15:01Speaker 7: us like sleep, and so by the time we actually
- 15:03Speaker 7: were like going to bed, it was like okay, like
- 15:06Speaker 7: literally like lights out, like everyone shut up, like seriously, Yeah,
- 15:10Speaker 7: we did have like not in our rooms like everything,
- 15:13Speaker 7: like all of our convers I mean literally I probably
- 15:15Speaker 7: had maybe one conversation that was in my room and
- 15:18Speaker 7: there was like no cameras. But then they like came
- 15:20Speaker 7: and found me like thirty seconds later, and I was like, okay,
- 15:23Speaker 7: so like that did not exist for me at all.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't really remember that existing either, but this
- 15:29Speaker 2: did jog a memory of them one time waking us
- 15:31Speaker 2: up at like five thirty. It was still dark and
- 15:35Speaker 2: all of us just having to do our makeup at
- 15:37Speaker 2: that time, where.
- 15:38Speaker 6: Like this is a huge joke. We went to bed
- 15:40Speaker 6: at one thirty.
- 15:43Speaker 3: That's the worst.
- 15:43Speaker 7: And then the natural sunlight God heap two bad bag.
- 15:47Speaker 3: Eyes to cover your makeup.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Yeah, the baggy eyes doing makeup on baggy, tired, puffy
- 15:52Speaker 2: faces the worst.
- 15:54Speaker 6: You wouldn't know, guys, but the w I might know.
- 15:58Speaker 6: You might know.
- 15:59Speaker 1: I think you know what I've never I don't think
- 16:01Speaker 1: I've ever said this. You know something I brought to
- 16:03Speaker 1: the Bachelor mansion. This is this is so embarrassing. I
- 16:09Speaker 1: brought because one of my girlfriends came and helped me
- 16:11Speaker 1: pack and she was.
- 16:13Speaker 6: Like gal pals, Okay, I was like x.
- 16:18Speaker 1: The same gal pals friend z owner a mascara brush
- 16:24Speaker 1: just to comb out my eyelashes because I wanted my
- 16:27Speaker 1: eyelashes to look good on.
- 16:31Speaker 6: So you were doing that every morning when you were.
- 16:35Speaker 8: Yeah, I remember that.
- 16:37Speaker 2: Now I actually feel like you did have eyelashes that
- 16:40Speaker 2: stood out.
- 16:41Speaker 6: See, very pretty curly eyelashes.
- 16:46Speaker 3: It's hilarious.
- 16:46Speaker 1: I just thought about this.
- 16:47Speaker 7: That's probably Sawn and Braiden bringing there.
- 16:49Speaker 3: Like remember that other dice.
- 16:52Speaker 7: Like I'm joking, but I feel like Sean had like
- 16:54Speaker 7: a blow dryer.
- 16:57Speaker 6: His hair, Like, oh, I can imagine that.
- 17:00Speaker 9: Sean actually didn't have a blow dry That was actually
- 17:02Speaker 9: a big part of big issue in the house he
- 17:07Speaker 9: was so embarrassed before every day because he was like,
- 17:09Speaker 9: he's so self conscious about his hair, and it's so hilarious.
- 17:13Speaker 3: That was actually opposite what happened.
- 17:16Speaker 6: Amongst all you guys didn't have one hair dryer.
- 17:18Speaker 3: Yes it was I'm telling you.
- 17:21Speaker 9: There were things that were happening that I couldn't believe.
- 17:25Speaker 9: I didn't need one, thankfully, but a few of the
- 17:27Speaker 9: guys did not a single hair drive. They had to
- 17:29Speaker 9: get one on like day three, so one had to
- 17:31Speaker 9: go buy one. How the hell did you not a
- 17:33Speaker 9: single one in there?
- 17:34Speaker 8: It's crazy.
- 17:35Speaker 6: That is crazy, And I.
- 17:36Speaker 3: Think Sean had to buy it.
- 17:40Speaker 6: With his own money.
- 17:41Speaker 2: They were like, yeah, we have like a fifty dollars
- 17:43Speaker 2: cap on this.
- 17:45Speaker 5: You put blow the grocery literally for real, it was.
- 17:49Speaker 8: It literally was on the grocery.
- 17:51Speaker 1: But I'm even thinking back, I feel like when I
- 18:04Speaker 1: was on the Bachelore appe, it was March. Is that
- 18:07Speaker 1: March madness that's going on at that point? Yeah, And
- 18:11Speaker 1: we did a we did brackets, but we can't watch
- 18:14Speaker 1: the games. There's no TVs. And so at the end
- 18:16Speaker 1: of the day they would give us a score update
- 18:18Speaker 1: of who won and who lost, and we could fill
- 18:20Speaker 1: out a bracket based on that. It's such a fun
- 18:25Speaker 1: time now as we close with you guys, as you
- 18:29Speaker 1: think about your favorite memories at the Bachelor Mansion, like
- 18:32Speaker 1: the one thing when you think about that place and
- 18:34Speaker 1: who knows how much it's going to be renovated. We
- 18:36Speaker 1: don't know if the whole thing's going to change, if
- 18:39Speaker 1: it's going to be modernized, if they're just gonna paint
- 18:42Speaker 1: up some stuff or whatever. But let's say the mansion
- 18:44Speaker 1: changes forever. It never looks the same as when we
- 18:47Speaker 1: were there. What's your favorite memory at the mansion?
- 18:50Speaker 7: I think for me would have to be like, obviously
- 18:52Speaker 7: there's so many like girl chats, but like my chats,
- 18:55Speaker 7: I feel like I had the most meaningful ones by
- 18:58Speaker 7: the pool or like outside, and I feel like the
- 19:00Speaker 7: pool is obviously like one of the highlights of the house,
- 19:02Speaker 7: and so I would be like kind of devastated if
- 19:04Speaker 7: they like completely, I mean, they can't take away the pool,
- 19:07Speaker 7: but like just making it look different.
- 19:09Speaker 6: I feel like it's such.
- 19:10Speaker 7: A memorable part of the house, like when you walk
- 19:13Speaker 7: in and obviously, like you know, night one, you're like outside,
- 19:17Speaker 7: you're going to the bar, You're seeing who else is arriving.
- 19:19Speaker 3: It's just like so ingrained in your memory.
- 19:21Speaker 7: So like that's like for me, I feel like one
- 19:23Speaker 7: of the best parts.
- 19:25Speaker 9: Yeah answer, yeah, So they had the question is what's
- 19:30Speaker 9: going to be here? Nonetheless the question is favorite memory
- 19:33Speaker 9: or what we don't want to renovated?
- 19:35Speaker 6: Well, I guess favorite, Wow, all the time together. Sorry
- 19:39Speaker 6: I didn't give a memory.
- 19:39Speaker 3: I just said, but I don't memory.
- 19:45Speaker 9: Yeah, I mean one of my favorite memories. Not to
- 19:48Speaker 9: steal yours, but was I was really quiet for like
- 19:51Speaker 9: the first week because I was hating my life and
- 19:53Speaker 9: I thought I made the worst decision of my life.
- 19:57Speaker 9: And then there's this time all the guys with the
- 19:59Speaker 9: pool super late, and then I decided to hop in
- 20:01Speaker 9: and that was the first time I really expressed myself.
- 20:03Speaker 9: And that's because those guys in there were all expressed themselves.
- 20:06Speaker 9: Was like Kayla, Barron Tanner and maybe one other person
- 20:11Speaker 9: that was in there, but they just.
- 20:12Speaker 3: Allowed me to open up.
- 20:13Speaker 9: And that was sort of really like the first step
- 20:16Speaker 9: to maybe, okay, maybe this is okay right, Maybe I didn't,
- 20:19Speaker 9: you know, sacrifice everything for nothing. So yeah, pretty cool,
- 20:23Speaker 9: I would say. Also, obviously he's getting a chat with
- 20:25Speaker 9: her at the barbecue. That was the actual catalyst that
- 20:29Speaker 9: really changed and I was like, okay, like yeah, I
- 20:32Speaker 9: can stick around.
- 20:32Speaker 3: I think there's something worth fighting for here. So that
- 20:34Speaker 3: was really beautiful.
- 20:37Speaker 9: And then maybe something inside the house is the hot
- 20:40Speaker 9: waters and the conditioner did not work while we were there.
- 20:44Speaker 9: We actually had to go to the hotel. People have
- 20:46Speaker 9: no idea how old that that house is, and like,
- 20:50Speaker 9: I'm spectacular it is. It's like legendary, but there's really
- 20:56Speaker 9: I don't think it's that old.
- 20:58Speaker 6: I think it's probably in its twenty.
- 21:00Speaker 1: I have the same don't You're not alone. I told
- 21:02Speaker 1: actually the same thing when we started. I was like,
- 21:04Speaker 1: you you understand how old this house is, like how
- 21:06Speaker 1: beat up it is?
- 21:08Speaker 9: Yes?
- 21:09Speaker 1: Yes, And Ashley's like, no, it's perfect.
- 21:13Speaker 2: This wasn't the Bachelor mansion that they used like the
- 21:15Speaker 2: first decade of the show though, And I don't think
- 21:18Speaker 2: that they built it until like two thousand.
- 21:20Speaker 6: We will have to check on the building. Curious to
- 21:24Speaker 6: know that.
- 21:24Speaker 2: But think about how much use the house has had
- 21:27Speaker 2: because the family had four kids and they grew up
- 21:31Speaker 2: in the house from when they were very little.
- 21:33Speaker 1: And then don't have to protect the mansion people like
- 21:35Speaker 1: the mansion.
- 21:36Speaker 6: I love the mansion.
- 21:37Speaker 9: Okay you under yeahby late night.
- 21:47Speaker 2: You wait, okay, go back to Don's saying you had
- 21:50Speaker 2: to go to a hotel to shower.
- 21:52Speaker 3: We all did for a couple of days. Yeah, it
- 21:54Speaker 3: was hellish.
- 21:54Speaker 9: We'd all have to go, but you'd have take turns,
- 21:56Speaker 9: you know, take turns in little what do you call
- 22:00Speaker 9: a little like bunches, and then go to the hotel
- 22:02Speaker 9: that we stayed in before to go shower, and then.
- 22:04Speaker 3: You have to luxury.
- 22:07Speaker 6: Yeah, the mansion reminds me of my parents' house.
- 22:11Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 22:13Speaker 6: Do you understand that, Ben, I do.
- 22:17Speaker 3: You're not talking about you.
- 22:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, but that's why I probably feel so
- 22:22Speaker 2: connected to the style.
- 22:23Speaker 1: Actually, your parents' house is beautiful. We don't want to
- 22:25Speaker 1: change it's.
- 22:26Speaker 6: Not okay, it's yeah.
- 22:30Speaker 2: I just need to add what I cannot have changed.
- 22:34Speaker 2: It's the front because when you pull up in the
- 22:36Speaker 2: limo and you see the iconic front with the fountain
- 22:39Speaker 2: and the door.
- 22:42Speaker 3: No, no, no, that actually probably is the best part.
- 22:44Speaker 9: You know, it's the most memorable whole see on TV,
- 22:47Speaker 9: the part that we remember because that's our first interaction, not.
- 22:50Speaker 7: Me saying the pool, I should have set the front door.
- 22:52Speaker 1: Yeah, hey, thanks for jumping on you talking about the mansion,
- 22:56Speaker 1: your memories. Uh, we appreciate your time. I will still
- 23:01Speaker 1: go down and say, like, one of the most shocking
- 23:03Speaker 1: parts of this whole experience is thinking about you sleeping
- 23:06Speaker 1: in a bunk bed twin mattress that isn't really a
- 23:09Speaker 1: full twin. It still shocks me and it's not right.
- 23:12Speaker 1: So good luck in the lawsuit, and we appreciate you
- 23:15Speaker 1: coming on.
- 23:18Speaker 6: Bye.
- 23:20Speaker 2: Ye it was you know how in college you have
- 23:24Speaker 2: the long twin beds. They're different style twin beds than
- 23:27Speaker 2: not you have the little kid twin bed There's they're long.
- 23:30Speaker 6: Do you remember in college?
- 23:31Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 23:31Speaker 1: These were not long, No exactly, they were sure. I
- 23:35Speaker 1: actually have a memory that came off of what Charity
- 23:38Speaker 1: was saying. I remember falling asleep so deeply out by
- 23:40Speaker 1: the pool one day in one of those like really
- 23:42Speaker 1: beautiful like pieces of lawn furniture they had, and sleeping
- 23:47Speaker 1: hard because I was tired and waking up and looking
- 23:50Speaker 1: around and like having this like I don't know where
- 23:52Speaker 1: I'm at moment, and then realizing I was on like
- 23:54Speaker 1: at the mansion, and I'm being like.
- 23:56Speaker 6: Whoa like, what's hilarious?
- 23:59Speaker 1: You know what I'm talking When you wake up and
- 24:00Speaker 1: you're like, I don't know how I got here, and
- 24:02Speaker 1: then you're like it takes you a second. You're like,
- 24:04Speaker 1: I'm there's a nap thing.
- 24:06Speaker 2: Yeah, that doesn't that doesn't happen in the mornings. That
- 24:08Speaker 2: happens during naps.
- 24:09Speaker 1: Yes, it happened to me, I remember, and then kind
- 24:12Speaker 1: of like smiling and being like, oh, that's pretty cool,
- 24:14Speaker 1: pretty cool. I just think a nap of the Bachelor.
- 24:17Speaker 6: Mansion, that's awesome.
- 24:20Speaker 1: This has been the second part of our conversation on
- 24:24Speaker 1: the renovation that HGTV has announced that they're going to
- 24:27Speaker 1: be doing to the Bachelor Mansion. We've brought back some
- 24:30Speaker 1: past contestants to talk about their stories, experiences, what they
- 24:35Speaker 1: love and don't love about the mansion. This has been
- 24:38Speaker 1: a ton of fun reminiscing. I would say this, and
- 24:41Speaker 1: I think Ashley has proven it actually, out of all
- 24:45Speaker 1: the things that happened from your time on the Bachelor,
- 24:49Speaker 1: I would say, this mansion holds maybe the most special
- 24:52Speaker 1: place in your heart.
- 24:53Speaker 6: Wait, more than Paradise.
- 24:56Speaker 1: You think I'm talking Bachelor like mansion, Like that whole experience.
- 25:00Speaker 2: I think because I was a super fan of the
- 25:03Speaker 2: show that arriving to the mansion and being in a
- 25:07Speaker 2: spot that I saw on TV for so many years
- 25:10Speaker 2: was the coolest thing. That was one of the very
- 25:14Speaker 2: main characters.
- 25:15Speaker 1: To me, I agree. I'm fully with you, so I
- 25:18Speaker 1: hope you had fun listening as well. Until next time,
- 25:20Speaker 1: I've been Ben, I've been Ashley.
- 25:21Speaker 6: See you guys.
