- 0:02Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls at your favorite type
- 0:05Speaker 1: of week. You get to down with the crazy sheet,
- 0:07Speaker 1: get you something to drink, get ready for the holidays,
- 0:09Speaker 1: and we're gonna talk about the college football playoffs. Mark,
- 0:12Speaker 1: I'm in the podcasting studio, Scott, he's at home, brother,
- 0:14Speaker 1: How the hell.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Are you, man, I'm good, taking a break from doing budgets.
- 0:19Speaker 2: I'm ready ready to get my mind right here, get
- 0:22Speaker 2: some get some gambling on, man. I've had a nice
- 0:24Speaker 2: start to the uh to the starting with Army Navy
- 0:29Speaker 2: and uh working our way through those those games. Boise
- 0:33Speaker 2: in Washington was exactly what I thought. And then when
- 0:35Speaker 2: Madson got hurt, it was even worse that that that
- 0:39Speaker 2: wasn't exactly like we thought. I ended up not taking
- 0:42Speaker 2: Navy only because I was lazy and let the game
- 0:45Speaker 2: time slip up on me because I was at volleyball
- 0:48Speaker 2: and kids volleyball always kind of throws you off. And
- 0:52Speaker 2: then uh so I went too and oh on that
- 0:55Speaker 2: my Blake Corbat touchdown coming in late, baby, coming in late.
- 1:00Speaker 1: I don't think you can. I mean, look, I think
- 1:02Speaker 1: we're back to that game being a permanent underfixture and
- 1:05Speaker 1: just take the points. I mean, how is Navy gonna
- 1:08Speaker 1: stretch out seven points when Armies drives take eight minutes.
- 1:11Speaker 2: And you know when I you know, when I thought
- 1:13Speaker 2: we were screwed when Army got that pick six, I
- 1:17Speaker 2: still thought Navy was gonna win the game. And when
- 1:21Speaker 2: they got that pick six, I'm like, oh shit, this
- 1:24Speaker 2: may throw us over. I was like that because that's
- 1:26Speaker 2: always what it is when a game like that, there's
- 1:28Speaker 2: some wild score that has no business happening. And the
- 1:32Speaker 2: same thing's true for Navy. They're they're touchdown and gave
- 1:34Speaker 2: them the lead. Was a it was a terrible decision
- 1:40Speaker 2: to throw the football, just a terrible decision, and and
- 1:44Speaker 2: and and gave them cheap points. But I was sitting
- 1:46Speaker 2: there thinking the whole time, I said, Army's gonna go down,
- 1:49Speaker 2: Hick this field goal, get the win, and we're gonna
- 1:51Speaker 2: get the under. I was like, unbelievable. So anyway, great
- 1:56Speaker 2: game is always fun to watch. Hadn't really on any
- 2:00Speaker 2: of the bowl games last night until you sent me
- 2:04Speaker 2: a text, and uh, in that Troy Jack State game,
- 2:09Speaker 2: that game was actually pretty fun.
- 2:12Speaker 1: I think I think a goose crowd or night got
- 2:14Speaker 1: hurt in that game. We might have had a chance.
- 2:17Speaker 1: And as we sit and record this, we've got a
- 2:19Speaker 1: game going right now with Old Domino in South Florida
- 2:23Speaker 1: just kicked off.
- 2:25Speaker 2: An Old Domino's quarterback opted out.
- 2:27Speaker 1: Correct is zero zero currently in the first quarter in
- 2:33Speaker 1: that one that you go.
- 2:34Speaker 2: We've got a coachless team and a quarterbackless team.
- 2:38Speaker 1: What can go wrong?
- 2:39Speaker 2: Well, hell can go wrong? And people want to know
- 2:41Speaker 2: why we why we? What we talk about in gambling
- 2:44Speaker 2: on these games, this is exactly what we mean. I'm
- 2:47Speaker 2: fascinated by Brian Hartline higher at u c F. You know,
- 2:52Speaker 2: he's been a part of some great staff's been at
- 2:54Speaker 2: at Ohio State for so long. Certainly seems like now
- 2:59Speaker 2: is the time for him to get it and seems
- 3:01Speaker 2: like a good a good fit for him. So I'll
- 3:03Speaker 2: be interested to see how that works. I mean that
- 3:06Speaker 2: that could be a really good hiring. Look, anytime you're
- 3:08Speaker 2: hiring an as system that scraps you, you know that.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Uh so it could not work out, But it seems
- 3:12Speaker 2: like that seems like a pretty good flyer. If I'm
- 3:15Speaker 2: South Florida, I.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Don't disagree with you, and I think it's time that
- 3:20Speaker 1: you got to start making I even think some of
- 3:22Speaker 1: these bigger programs, I mean sweeping in the G five.
- 3:25Speaker 1: But look for some coordinators, man, that that probably have
- 3:28Speaker 1: earned their stripes to get a chance to start to coach.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Now some of these obviously, the Michigan job is the
- 3:33Speaker 1: only open job left.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Uh.
- 3:36Speaker 1: And it's too big of a job to him to
- 3:38Speaker 1: a coordinator because the last time they did that, he
- 3:41Speaker 1: went to jail. And so you definitely don't want to
- 3:44Speaker 1: overwhelm the coordinator and it just gets him into a
- 3:47Speaker 1: marriage problem and he goes to jail.
- 3:48Speaker 2: That's that's well, it could that could be the that
- 3:51Speaker 2: could be the case here.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Yeah, it could be. All right, it'scott it.
- 3:55Speaker 2: Baby, Come on, we can't get Mark. We can't not
- 3:58Speaker 2: talk about on this podcast about him by him messaging
- 4:01Speaker 2: only fans. Look, I have no idea if any of
- 4:05Speaker 2: that's true. Don't care if any of it's true. I
- 4:07Speaker 2: saw she recanted some things she said, and then but
- 4:09Speaker 2: then she says some of it did happen. Who the
- 4:11Speaker 2: hell most who cares utter disaster? But if he really
- 4:16Speaker 2: did ask for a foursome, that guy was so far
- 4:19Speaker 2: out in the weeds it is, I mean, that is
- 4:23Speaker 2: out in the Weeds talking about throwing your career down
- 4:26Speaker 2: the drain. Just amazing, I mean, just amazing.
- 4:31Speaker 1: I'm just talking about confidence, baby, just a lot of confidence.
- 4:34Speaker 2: You know. I love you. Gotta love it man.
- 4:39Speaker 1: All Right, as we get ready to get started, South Florida,
- 4:42Speaker 1: just kick the field goal to make it three to
- 4:44Speaker 1: nothing first quarters, rolling in the Cure Bowl, Scotty. What
- 4:47Speaker 1: I want to focus on is the four games we've
- 4:50Speaker 1: got this weekend that will dictate who gets to keep
- 4:52Speaker 1: moving on to the College Football Championship. If you've got
- 4:55Speaker 1: some bowl bets that we can sprinkle in there, and
- 4:57Speaker 1: we'll do that. Let's start with Friday night. First thing
- 5:00Speaker 1: I want to say is, and you brought this up
- 5:02Speaker 1: scheduling these games. I don't know who's in charge, but
- 5:05Speaker 1: firing somebody else. I know. What they're trying to do
- 5:07Speaker 1: is get as many eyes into the primetime slot that
- 5:09Speaker 1: you can. But the fact that we've got Bama Oklahoma
- 5:12Speaker 1: on a Friday night spot which no one's used to
- 5:14Speaker 1: watching college football in, and then you got to turn
- 5:17Speaker 1: around and you got two G five games on Saturday,
- 5:19Speaker 1: including one that'll be in late primetime. Come on, man,
- 5:22Speaker 1: it's like, give me the Oregon game on Friday night,
- 5:24Speaker 1: Give me the OU game on Oh yeah, Alabama game
- 5:27Speaker 1: on Saturday, give me the give me the.
- 5:31Speaker 2: Miami not primetime game Saturday night. I don't know. That
- 5:35Speaker 2: is such a great football game. It's gonna be a
- 5:37Speaker 2: tremendous game. Why in the wall is that game not
- 5:43Speaker 2: primetime on Saturday? Hell not primetime one of the days.
- 5:46Speaker 2: I mean, honestly, this Bama Oklahoma game, it's gonna be
- 5:50Speaker 2: like watching paint dry. I mean, it really is. The
- 5:54Speaker 2: last time, it wasn't even fun to watch. I mean
- 5:55Speaker 2: I was bored to tears watching that game. And we
- 5:58Speaker 2: had a pick six and almost a punk turn for
- 6:00Speaker 2: a touchdown. I mean it. That game's awful. I mean,
- 6:05Speaker 2: and that's gonna be worse this time. I think because
- 6:07Speaker 2: Bama's less prepared than they were. They're beat up. How
- 6:10Speaker 2: healthy is this football team? I cannot believe whoever's scheduling
- 6:15Speaker 2: this doesn't put the U in Texas A and M
- 6:19Speaker 2: on primetime. Just amazing to me.
- 6:22Speaker 1: Moving on, let's jump in here to the Alabama Oklahoma game.
- 6:25Speaker 1: As you dive into both of these games, obviously they
- 6:28Speaker 1: played just a couple of weeks ago, bout a month
- 6:31Speaker 1: or six weeks ago, you could argue that maybe Alabama
- 6:33Speaker 1: and Klen Debor might have a little bit of an
- 6:35Speaker 1: Oklahoma problem. But they roll into this one. We just
- 6:38Speaker 1: saw Alabama lose the SEC championship about ten days ago,
- 6:43Speaker 1: so they'll be, you know, just removed from that. Oklahoma's
- 6:46Speaker 1: been sitting at home just waiting to see who they
- 6:48Speaker 1: were going to play. Probably knew who they were going
- 6:50Speaker 1: to play if I had to guess, and they were
- 6:52Speaker 1: getting ready for Obama. You come into this one and
- 6:55Speaker 1: it's an interesting game. And let me say this, coming
- 6:57Speaker 1: into the season, if you would have said, hey, I'll
- 7:00Speaker 1: bet you you know your thousand against my five, Oh,
- 7:04Speaker 1: you'll win ten games, I probably wouldn't have taken the bet.
- 7:08Speaker 1: In the fact that Print Vinables got this team to
- 7:10Speaker 1: ten wins. I mean, you were you were still thinking
- 7:13Speaker 1: Vinibles was gonna get fired ioted.
- 7:17Speaker 2: But look, I knew Brian kept that a couple of
- 7:20Speaker 2: these guys were gonna get fired h Freeze, Brian Kelly,
- 7:24Speaker 2: Brnt Venables or or the Billy Billy Napier. It turns
- 7:32Speaker 2: out three of the four did. And I also thought
- 7:34Speaker 2: Shane Bieber could be in that mix too. Did not
- 7:37Speaker 2: see Kentucky firing spoops, but they did. But that that
- 7:43Speaker 2: Venables is the one that kicked it forward and won
- 7:46Speaker 2: more games than Texas is a chakra. Having lost that
- 7:50Speaker 2: game to Texas and he still won more games than
- 7:53Speaker 2: they did. Did not see that.
- 7:56Speaker 1: So as we get ready for this game on Saturday,
- 7:58Speaker 1: a couple of things that you've got Mattier as a
- 8:01Speaker 1: quarterback coming into the season. I went back and looked
- 8:04Speaker 1: at the hype about this kid coming into the season.
- 8:07Speaker 1: I looked at how we thought he was gonna play,
- 8:08Speaker 1: what he was going to do, and you know, the
- 8:11Speaker 1: season starts out a little bit slow, and then he
- 8:13Speaker 1: gets injured and with the hand and I don't know
- 8:15Speaker 1: that we're still clear how healthy he is or not
- 8:18Speaker 1: how wide open they are comfortably running that offense. But
- 8:21Speaker 1: the one thing they did do as a coaching staff
- 8:23Speaker 1: is they leaned into that defense. Well the top scoring
- 8:25Speaker 1: defenses in the country. They're giving up less than two
- 8:27Speaker 1: touchdowns a game, which is fantastic because they're only scoring
- 8:31Speaker 1: twenty six points a game. This team is ten and
- 8:33Speaker 1: two straight up, seven and five against the number and
- 8:35Speaker 1: two and ten to the under Bama. On the flip side.
- 8:39Speaker 1: At one point we thought they had the Heisman Trophy
- 8:41Speaker 1: candidate and Tys Simpson at playing quarterback. They still finish
- 8:44Speaker 1: the season ten and three, they're seven to four and
- 8:47Speaker 1: two straight up, and they're four to nine to the under.
- 8:50Speaker 1: But where Bama's really showing you that they got a
- 8:52Speaker 1: problem is is Bama can't figure out who they are
- 8:54Speaker 1: and what they can be on offense. They've been banged
- 8:57Speaker 1: up in the running back room, but they haven't been
- 8:59Speaker 1: able to run the ball very successfully for most of
- 9:01Speaker 1: the season. Ty Simpson doesn't seem like if he's hurt,
- 9:04Speaker 1: I don't know, but he doesn't seem like he's got
- 9:06Speaker 1: the confidence that he needs to have to try to
- 9:09Speaker 1: make this team excel. And then on the backside of that,
- 9:12Speaker 1: if you really want to dig into the stories, you've
- 9:14Speaker 1: got Kaitlin Debor the coach at Alabama, and you're kind
- 9:16Speaker 1: of wondering if he's not gonna take a job at
- 9:18Speaker 1: Michigan on Saturday or Sunday. And so there's a lot
- 9:21Speaker 1: of storylines going into this game that creates some noise
- 9:25Speaker 1: around it. But you got the two teams that are
- 9:27Speaker 1: gonna show up. They're gonna play in Norman Friday Night.
- 9:29Speaker 1: It's gonna be an exciting game. When I start digging
- 9:31Speaker 1: into this one, where I'm gonna go with it is
- 9:33Speaker 1: I'm gonna go under. I don't know what, I don't
- 9:35Speaker 1: know who's gonna win. But I think the final score
- 9:37Speaker 1: we're talking about an NFL over under here in this one.
- 9:39Speaker 1: It's wrote long around forty and a half forty one.
- 9:42Speaker 1: I'm looking at twenty to thirty seven is where I
- 9:44Speaker 1: think this game's gonna go. I lean to Oklahoma winning
- 9:46Speaker 1: this game just because from a defensive standpoint, I think
- 9:50Speaker 1: Venables will lean into that defense. I think he will
- 9:53Speaker 1: throw everything he has at the blitz packages and make
- 9:56Speaker 1: Ty Simpson completely uncomfortable. And when if you don't believe
- 9:59Speaker 1: me that this team can't figure out its identity, let
- 10:02Speaker 1: me ask you where this kid is? Where is Ryan Williams?
- 10:05Speaker 1: Where's that guy? Have you seen that guy play football
- 10:07Speaker 1: in the last six months? No, you haven't. This was
- 10:10Speaker 1: a kid his freshman year that we thought probably had
- 10:12Speaker 1: a chance to maybe win the Heisman. He was up
- 10:14Speaker 1: there with all the big name receivers. No one even
- 10:16Speaker 1: knows where he is anymore. Half the time they've got
- 10:18Speaker 1: him lined up in the slot, and I think he's
- 10:20Speaker 1: scared to run through there. I watched a lot of
- 10:22Speaker 1: game film to get ready for this one. I don't
- 10:24Speaker 1: think he feels comfortable and he has confidence. If you're
- 10:27Speaker 1: the receiver gonna have confidence. There's no way the quarterback's
- 10:29Speaker 1: gonna have confidence to go those guys. I think the
- 10:32Speaker 1: running back room for for Alabama's gonna be a little
- 10:35Speaker 1: bit healthier in this one. But I still don't know
- 10:37Speaker 1: how this team is gonna score twenty eight points. If
- 10:40Speaker 1: they have to score twenty eight to win, I think
- 10:43Speaker 1: Oklahoma is much more comfortable in this muddy fight in
- 10:46Speaker 1: a phone booth. They're gonna be at home. I know
- 10:49Speaker 1: Baba fans travel, but they're gonna get that tiny little
- 10:52Speaker 1: allotment that you get at home field games. And the
- 10:55Speaker 1: suitors are I mean they're hungry, man. This is the
- 10:58Speaker 1: first time OU has been relevant on the national stage
- 11:01Speaker 1: in a bit, and I mean I think they are hungred.
- 11:04Speaker 1: I think there's gonna be a lot of defense and
- 11:06Speaker 1: I'm gonna go boomer sooner twenty seventeen and I'm going
- 11:09Speaker 1: under forty is where my bet is.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Well to your point, this is a proud Oklahoma program.
- 11:14Speaker 2: People forget I mean national titles. This group one, what
- 11:17Speaker 2: is it, seven, eight, something like that. It's a lot.
- 11:20Speaker 2: I mean, they won a bunch of titles. This is
- 11:23Speaker 2: a storied program, and I agree with you. Last time here,
- 11:28Speaker 2: which was last year, twenty four to three was the
- 11:32Speaker 2: final they put it on. Well under this number that
- 11:36Speaker 2: was forty three in Tuscalusa. But you had to pick last.
- 11:40Speaker 2: I said, you had to pick six. And you also
- 11:42Speaker 2: had another huge play. It was a very short field,
- 11:45Speaker 2: giving Oklahoma cheap points. Oklahoma shouldn't have been in that
- 11:49Speaker 2: ballgame in Tuscalusa. That game should have been a twenty
- 11:53Speaker 2: one to three kind of game, but for the big
- 11:57Speaker 2: mistakes that Alabama made. But make no mistake this deed.
- 12:01Speaker 2: You can't say it's just Alabama mistakes because this Oklahoma
- 12:06Speaker 2: defense has created those mistakes from everybody they play, and
- 12:12Speaker 2: they continue to do it. I mean, I'll they throw
- 12:14Speaker 2: the pick. Materia throws the pick against LSU, and first
- 12:18Speaker 2: freaking play, their defense intercepts it right back instead of
- 12:23Speaker 2: going down seven nothing, which they should have boom because
- 12:25Speaker 2: it was open behind him. Linebackers just jumps up, makes
- 12:28Speaker 2: a great play. Picks it off back Oklahoma's ball going
- 12:31Speaker 2: the other way first series of the first offensive series
- 12:35Speaker 2: for each team. Harold Perkins is the guy that got
- 12:37Speaker 2: the pick for LSU. But at the end of the day,
- 12:40Speaker 2: this defense continues to put this offense in great position.
- 12:44Speaker 2: I agree with this FAMA scoring defense, one of the
- 12:47Speaker 2: tips in the Southeastern Conference, but I still don't think
- 12:49Speaker 2: they're any good on defense. I'll be honest with you,
- 12:52Speaker 2: I don't. That is I don't. And it just feels
- 12:55Speaker 2: like when they got to have a stop or it's important,
- 12:58Speaker 2: they don't get it in some of these big games,
- 13:00Speaker 2: just like that series coming out of halftime at Auburn.
- 13:05Speaker 2: How Alabama didn't know we stopped them here in the
- 13:09Speaker 2: games over and then boom, the fight is on the
- 13:14Speaker 2: rest of the game. And they had to draw a
- 13:18Speaker 2: line in the sand right there, and I just don't
- 13:19Speaker 2: think they did. Walback has done a good job on
- 13:22Speaker 2: the scoring end after that, after that abysmal game in
- 13:27Speaker 2: Tallahassee to start. So these are two very good scoring defenses,
- 13:31Speaker 2: and it says it's going to be low scoring. Oklahoma
- 13:34Speaker 2: can't score. I mean, they just simply can't score on
- 13:36Speaker 2: good football teams, and that is the to me. That's
- 13:42Speaker 2: the reason I think this under is such a good bet,
- 13:44Speaker 2: even though it's forty thirty nine and a half, forty
- 13:47Speaker 2: and a half scouring your months, keep going, baby, it said,
- 13:51Speaker 2: Look were thirty eight and a half against rowmy Navy
- 13:53Speaker 2: last week. We covered it easy. Let's go baby, Let's
- 13:55Speaker 2: get it again. Let's go under again.
- 13:58Speaker 1: I like it, Boomer, Baby, Boomer.
- 14:01Speaker 2: I think that was the better team. But they're banged up.
- 14:03Speaker 2: I don't know how healthy there or offensive lines beat up,
- 14:05Speaker 2: running backs will beat up. They haven't been a run
- 14:07Speaker 2: the football all year. That makes them one dimensional, which
- 14:10Speaker 2: is what is setting up some of these picks and
- 14:13Speaker 2: some of the play in some of these games. That's
- 14:15Speaker 2: that's creating such a hard time for Simpson. And at
- 14:18Speaker 2: the end of the day, it ain't gonna get any
- 14:19Speaker 2: better Friday night in Norman. So give me under.
- 14:23Speaker 1: I agree with you, and I'll tell you there's a
- 14:24Speaker 1: team in the Southeastern Conference that is not scared of
- 14:27Speaker 1: that Alabama Jersey. It's the Oklahoma Sooners because they've only
- 14:31Speaker 1: been there two years and they're undefeated against them, baby.
- 14:34Speaker 2: And so can they gas Can saving and the Sugar
- 14:39Speaker 2: Bowl back with Bob stoops. I mean, look, they're still there.
- 14:43Speaker 2: The oh you ain't scared of the jersey. They think
- 14:45Speaker 2: their jersey is pretty damn good too. But I'll tell
- 14:47Speaker 2: you this, The funny part is that the board goes
- 14:50Speaker 2: oh and three against them. Hot seat. Maybe you may
- 14:52Speaker 2: want to go to Michigan because you will be full
- 14:55Speaker 2: doctor Pepper hot seat if in Tuscaloosa next year. If
- 15:00Speaker 2: you go, if he figures out how to lose four
- 15:03Speaker 2: games with this team and lose opening land of the playoffs,
- 15:06Speaker 2: yes he will be on the hot seat. And I
- 15:09Speaker 2: understand that he will have been won the first team
- 15:12Speaker 2: out of the playoffs and then in the playoff, but
- 15:15Speaker 2: he'll also be the first one eliminated from the playoff
- 15:18Speaker 2: this year, and that equals hot seat. You don't believe me.
- 15:21Speaker 2: Call Bill Curry and asking nine and two got his ass.
- 15:24Speaker 2: I'm fired, I mean fired. That's back when we played
- 15:27Speaker 2: eleven games. Nine and two got him smooth fired. They
- 15:29Speaker 2: won their ball game, beat Miami and still got fired.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Oh moving on, Scotty, let's go. The next game we've
- 15:38Speaker 1: got be played in College Station, Texas. This is a
- 15:41Speaker 1: huge game for the Aggies, I mean for both of
- 15:44Speaker 1: these teams. Really, it's been almost a full generation since
- 15:48Speaker 1: Miami has been relevant, unless you're alive long enough to
- 15:51Speaker 1: remember Ken Dorsey playing quarterback for Miami on a team
- 15:55Speaker 1: that everybody thought could be one of the greatest all time.
- 15:57Speaker 1: And they had Willis McGahee and they were going to
- 15:59Speaker 1: the Rose to play Ohio State, and the general public
- 16:02Speaker 1: didn't give Ohio State a chance to win that game.
- 16:05Speaker 1: And then Ohio State came in and won the Natty,
- 16:07Speaker 1: and after that, Miami really fell off the food chain
- 16:10Speaker 1: and hasn't been back. You've talked about them, people have
- 16:12Speaker 1: heard about the U But these people today, especially these
- 16:15Speaker 1: kids in their twenties, they don't know nothing about the
- 16:18Speaker 1: U Man and the swagger wagon that's about to roll
- 16:20Speaker 1: in there to College Station. But the fact that this
- 16:22Speaker 1: game's at Kyle Field is interesting to me. You've got
- 16:26Speaker 1: one hundred and seven thousand people that are gonna be
- 16:28Speaker 1: at this game on Saturday. I don't anticipate Miami's gonna
- 16:31Speaker 1: travel well because there's not that many students there to
- 16:34Speaker 1: go to school there to begin with. They can't fill
- 16:36Speaker 1: up home games, so I doubt they're gonna travel halfway
- 16:39Speaker 1: across the country. To watch this game. But with that
- 16:41Speaker 1: being said, I don't know what it matters to Miami.
- 16:44Speaker 1: They're kind of used to that vibe that you've got.
- 16:46Speaker 1: From that standpoint, I dug into this game pretty deep. Man.
- 16:49Speaker 1: You've got Carson Beck coming into this one, and they're
- 16:52Speaker 1: getting three to three and a half rolling in here
- 16:54Speaker 1: against this Texas A and M football team, This A
- 16:56Speaker 1: and M team. If you go back and you look
- 16:58Speaker 1: at their schedules the season goes on, they really didn't
- 17:01Speaker 1: match up against any of the big tough teams that
- 17:03Speaker 1: they had in the SEC. Yeah, and so they missed
- 17:07Speaker 1: all of them. They still went eleven and one, losing
- 17:09Speaker 1: to Texas, but they were only five and seven against
- 17:12Speaker 1: the number. And then you've got this Miami team obviously
- 17:15Speaker 1: finished ten to two, didn't have to play in the
- 17:17Speaker 1: SEC or the a SEC Championship. Seven and five straight up,
- 17:20Speaker 1: five and seven against the number. Man. Where you're looking
- 17:24Speaker 1: for this team is how different they're gonna be if
- 17:27Speaker 1: you can keep Beck with the clean pocket. I really
- 17:30Speaker 1: think he's going to open this thing up a little
- 17:32Speaker 1: bit for the UH. He's done very well with the
- 17:35Speaker 1: clean pocket, and Miami's got one of the better offensive
- 17:38Speaker 1: lines in the country. One of the best matchups you're
- 17:40Speaker 1: gonna see all game long is gonna be in the
- 17:42Speaker 1: trench for both of these teams, offensive line, defensive line.
- 17:45Speaker 1: What they're gonna get going in both of these spots
- 17:49Speaker 1: that are here, you can keep a clean pocket in there,
- 17:51Speaker 1: that's gonna be a big deal for Beck. And then
- 17:54Speaker 1: on the flip side of that with with A and M,
- 17:56Speaker 1: with Marcel Reid, I don't know what you're gonna get on.
- 18:00Speaker 1: He's had some confidence issues, he's had some accuracy issues
- 18:03Speaker 1: that you've got. From that standpoint, what's your look at
- 18:06Speaker 1: when you dig into this game? What do you think
- 18:07Speaker 1: is going to be the deciding factor in this one?
- 18:09Speaker 2: Well, I still have a lot of questions about A
- 18:12Speaker 2: and M. I think they're talented, but how good are
- 18:15Speaker 2: I mean, this is still early in the Elko turnaround,
- 18:18Speaker 2: and at the end of the day, they're still getting
- 18:20Speaker 2: a lot of love from that first game when over
- 18:24Speaker 2: Notre Dame. I mean that put them they were ranked.
- 18:27Speaker 2: They beat a really good team that put them right
- 18:30Speaker 2: up top, and then they didn't play anybody at Florida
- 18:34Speaker 2: Bowling Green, MacNeice, Arkansas, Missouri, Mississippi State LSU, South Carolina,
- 18:41Speaker 2: Auburn out and then Texas. Outside of Texas and Notre
- 18:44Speaker 2: Dame where they went one and one, their next best
- 18:48Speaker 2: team was LSU or Missouri. That was their next best wines.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Missouri was beat up. They were on their thirteen quarterback
- 18:55Speaker 2: by then. I mean, this is ain't like they got
- 18:57Speaker 2: full Missouri. So I don't know how good this team is.
- 19:00Speaker 2: On foot side is Miami can lose to anybody, but
- 19:04Speaker 2: they ain't also be anybody because they're pretty damn talented,
- 19:08Speaker 2: you know. So I think this game is great. Again,
- 19:10Speaker 2: it goes back to what I said, I'm excited to
- 19:12Speaker 2: watch this game simply because I ain't this gonna be
- 19:16Speaker 2: a great game, and I don't know what I'm gonna get.
- 19:19Speaker 2: I will tell you three and a half. Getting the
- 19:21Speaker 2: hook ain't Miami. It is probably the play because I
- 19:25Speaker 2: think they certainly have got a chance to win this game.
- 19:28Speaker 2: We don't know how good A and M is. And again,
- 19:32Speaker 2: what's more so Reid gonna do. Man, he's looked bad
- 19:36Speaker 2: a couple of time. He looked really bad against Texas.
- 19:39Speaker 2: He looked really bad against South Carolina for a half.
- 19:42Speaker 2: You know, he was mad against Mississippi State in the
- 19:44Speaker 2: first half. He comes out and plays poorly in the
- 19:47Speaker 2: first half against Miami and mad maybe down two touchdowns.
- 19:51Speaker 2: And this ain't South Carolina. This is a pretty good
- 19:54Speaker 2: football team. So I'm fascinated to see exactly what we
- 19:59Speaker 2: get in and really who is Texas A and M
- 20:02Speaker 2: Because even going back to how they both play Notre Dame,
- 20:06Speaker 2: they're common opponent besides Florida. You go back and look
- 20:10Speaker 2: and man that those were so both those games were
- 20:15Speaker 2: barn burners, and it tells me this is gonna be
- 20:19Speaker 2: a great game Saturday night. Now is at home obviously
- 20:23Speaker 2: for Texas A and M, so that gives them an advantage.
- 20:26Speaker 2: But they're basically saying neutral field, this is a pick
- 20:28Speaker 2: them because Kyle Field's a three point home field every
- 20:32Speaker 2: basically saying this is a pick them. I think Miami's
- 20:35Speaker 2: a good enough team if I'm gonna take it, I'm
- 20:38Speaker 2: probably taking those points because I think it's going to
- 20:40Speaker 2: be a close game. You may very well find yourself
- 20:43Speaker 2: the hook being the difference on this. But this is
- 20:46Speaker 2: probably the only one of these games this weekend that
- 20:50Speaker 2: I'm not extremely confident in a play, and so keep
- 20:54Speaker 2: that in mind, I'll get involved in it just because
- 20:57Speaker 2: it's what I think is the best game and just
- 21:00Speaker 2: my personality won't let me pass on it. But I
- 21:04Speaker 2: think this is I think if you're going to pass,
- 21:06Speaker 2: there's easier money, easier money to be made this weekend.
- 21:11Speaker 1: One thing I'll say about this game, I think the
- 21:12Speaker 1: biggest difference is going to be made is I am
- 21:16Speaker 1: interested to see how Elko's defense is gonna deal with
- 21:19Speaker 1: Malachai Tony, true freshman wide receiver lines up at Miami.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Kid plays all over the field. He'll line up in
- 21:26Speaker 1: the slot, he'll line up out wide, he'll line up
- 21:29Speaker 1: in the backfield. Bury dynamic, and he causes problems for
- 21:32Speaker 1: defenses as all season, and so I really think, however,
- 21:37Speaker 1: they're able to figure out. He's got nine touchdowns this season,
- 21:39Speaker 1: and so I think trying to figure out how they're
- 21:41Speaker 1: going to defend him is going to be a big deal.
- 21:43Speaker 1: The other thing I did some digging into is on
- 21:46Speaker 1: the running game, and this is what's gonna tick me
- 21:48Speaker 1: towards taking the Canes plus three and a half. Most
- 21:51Speaker 1: of the Canes running game is more of an inside
- 21:54Speaker 1: inside the tackles is where they like to run they're
- 21:56Speaker 1: not doing a whole lot of wide RPO spread and
- 21:59Speaker 1: the main reason for that is Beck can't really run it,
- 22:02Speaker 1: and so they do a little bit of a different
- 22:03Speaker 1: RPO where what you're gonna see there is the fake
- 22:06Speaker 1: for the run and he's really looking for that quick
- 22:08Speaker 1: pass and Tony typically tends to be that quick pass guy.
- 22:12Speaker 1: But if you look at the yak that these wide
- 22:14Speaker 1: that these running backs have been getting from Miami, I
- 22:16Speaker 1: think that's gonna be a bigger difference. But the biggest thing, too,
- 22:19Speaker 1: is is the defensive front from out for A and
- 22:21Speaker 1: m they're giving up a lot more yards than you
- 22:24Speaker 1: think they are. If you start looking at how much
- 22:25Speaker 1: yards they are giving up inside the tackles, it's a
- 22:28Speaker 1: it's six point four yards per play. So it's a
- 22:31Speaker 1: much bigger it's a much bigger chunk than you think.
- 22:33Speaker 1: And so but at the same time, I will say this,
- 22:36Speaker 1: Mike Elko to me is one of the top five
- 22:39Speaker 1: coaches in the country in a Power five position, a
- 22:41Speaker 1: Power four position of making adjustments at halftime. Mario Cristobaul
- 22:45Speaker 1: could fuck up a wet dream, and so having to
- 22:48Speaker 1: trust that guy to win Natty scares these shit out
- 22:52Speaker 1: of me. But do I think he can go on
- 22:53Speaker 1: the road and maybe still one, Yes, I do. I'll
- 22:57Speaker 1: take the Canes plus three and a half. I don't
- 22:59Speaker 1: know if they're good enough to win it out right,
- 23:01Speaker 1: but if you're gonna take them plus three and a half,
- 23:03Speaker 1: I'd say go ahead and throw you a little bit
- 23:05Speaker 1: on the money line, baby, because this is winter or
- 23:06Speaker 1: go home stuff here and it's going to call out
- 23:09Speaker 1: all the stops in that one. But I would lean
- 23:10Speaker 1: Miami plus three and a half.
- 23:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't disagree with you. I think that is.
- 23:15Speaker 2: I think that is. I think money line maybe a
- 23:19Speaker 2: nice maybe a nice addition to it for sure.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Next week, got Scottie, Let's go to tu Lane traveling
- 23:27Speaker 1: to Oxford, Mississippi. This is an interesting story headline. You've
- 23:30Speaker 1: got a two lane football team whose coach has already
- 23:32Speaker 1: accepted a job and he's headed out the door. You've
- 23:35Speaker 1: got an Old Miss football team who's head coach accepted
- 23:37Speaker 1: a job and left, and then because he gets a
- 23:40Speaker 1: bonus check because he loves his players, but also he
- 23:43Speaker 1: gets a bonus check on how well Old Miss does,
- 23:45Speaker 1: he's actually sent back the entire offensive coaching staff that
- 23:48Speaker 1: they wanted to come back to be there for that.
- 23:50Speaker 1: You've got Charlie Weiss back, the receivers coach, O line coach,
- 23:53Speaker 1: everybody's back, and Pete Golding, the former defensive coordinator at
- 23:57Speaker 1: Old Miss, is now the head coach to be at
- 24:00Speaker 1: Old Miss. The funny thing about Pete Golding I was
- 24:02Speaker 1: saying about the other day, have you realized, like, of
- 24:03Speaker 1: all the guys that got touched by Nick Saban, like
- 24:06Speaker 1: Pete Golding never gets brought up in that conversation. It's
- 24:10Speaker 1: like it's like it's like Saban didn't want him on
- 24:12Speaker 1: the staff and it was like, you want to go
- 24:13Speaker 1: to Old Miss, Fine, we'll send you on your way.
- 24:16Speaker 1: But he's done a hell of a job at Old
- 24:17Speaker 1: Miss as far as improving their defense and keeping you know,
- 24:20Speaker 1: keeping them afloat. And so when I look at this
- 24:23Speaker 1: game over under here is fifty six and a half,
- 24:26Speaker 1: I don't know how aggressive Pete Golding is going to
- 24:30Speaker 1: let the offense be if Old Miss gets out in
- 24:32Speaker 1: front of two lane. Uh, because I think too, I
- 24:35Speaker 1: think defensively, this is going to be the most aggressive
- 24:37Speaker 1: game you've seen Ole misplay all season. Jake Kretz laugh
- 24:40Speaker 1: does not do well against the blitz. He doesn't do
- 24:43Speaker 1: well with the dirty pocket. He hasn't run the ball
- 24:45Speaker 1: like he did last year when he was BYJ and
- 24:47Speaker 1: so I kind of think this year, Old Miss has
- 24:50Speaker 1: already beaten this team once. They're gonna come up with
- 24:52Speaker 1: a lot of confidence. They're going to be at home.
- 24:54Speaker 1: Hopefully most of the people will have drunken their asses
- 24:57Speaker 1: into the grove by the time the game starts. I'm
- 24:59Speaker 1: assuming they will. But I really think where I'm gonna
- 25:02Speaker 1: go with this was is I'm going to go with
- 25:03Speaker 1: the under fifty six and a half because I can
- 25:06Speaker 1: I can kind of see Old Miss getting up in
- 25:07Speaker 1: this one and Golding like saying, hey, let's take the
- 25:11Speaker 1: air of the ball. Let's just dominate these guys and
- 25:14Speaker 1: we can owe them on defense. So I'm going to
- 25:15Speaker 1: go fifty six and a half is my underplay on
- 25:17Speaker 1: this one.
- 25:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't look. Last time it was significantly under
- 25:23Speaker 2: and Old Miss completely blew them out. You know, they're
- 25:27Speaker 2: going to have to prove that they can score on
- 25:30Speaker 2: this team. You know, it's fifty seven and a half
- 25:33Speaker 2: in some places. With that with a seventeen point number,
- 25:37Speaker 2: they're there and over fifty. They're talking, they're they're expecting
- 25:44Speaker 2: this game to be thirty eight twenty. Basically, that's that's
- 25:50Speaker 2: what they're saying. I don't think there's any chance that
- 25:54Speaker 2: this team can score twenty points on these guys. I
- 25:56Speaker 2: really don't. The power forward goes back to exactly what
- 26:00Speaker 2: we said last podcast. They don't have any good wins.
- 26:04Speaker 2: They don't have any good wins. They got a lot
- 26:05Speaker 2: of blowout losses, including this one the first time. I
- 26:09Speaker 2: ain't the only reason this number is not significantly higher
- 26:14Speaker 2: is because Lank Kiffin's gone. And at the end of
- 26:17Speaker 2: the day, I think you're gonna get Old Missus best shot.
- 26:20Speaker 2: I think they're fired up, they're gonna be pissed off,
- 26:21Speaker 2: they're glad to get a shot. I got a feeling
- 26:24Speaker 2: that people gonna make it in from the grove on
- 26:25Speaker 2: this one. You know, this is where Old miss fans
- 26:29Speaker 2: have thought they were for the last forty years. There's
- 26:32Speaker 2: all those old jackasses that are still remember the Johnny
- 26:36Speaker 2: Vault sixties that are gonna be rolling literally rolling into
- 26:41Speaker 2: this stadium thinking this is where we belong, this is
- 26:45Speaker 2: where we're meant to be. And you know it took
- 26:47Speaker 2: them fifty years to get back, but they're gonna think
- 26:49Speaker 2: that's where they need to be sixty years to get back.
- 26:52Speaker 2: I mean it is, but that's where that is where
- 26:55Speaker 2: we're going. That is exactly what all these old Miss
- 26:57Speaker 2: fans think. Because you talked to old Miss fans, they
- 27:00Speaker 2: act like they're Alabama. I mean it is. And so
- 27:05Speaker 2: I can assure you this stadium ain't gonna be three
- 27:08Speaker 2: quarters empty like it was the first time they played.
- 27:10Speaker 2: And this is a tough place to play when they
- 27:12Speaker 2: when they're really into it. State's gone up there a lot,
- 27:15Speaker 2: and I mean, you know, man, that place is tough.
- 27:17Speaker 2: I mean, since ninety one that's been an on campus deal,
- 27:21Speaker 2: and man, almost can be a tough place to play.
- 27:24Speaker 2: They may be friendly. I laugh about how friendly they
- 27:27Speaker 2: are out of town folks. I'm like, unless yours is
- 27:29Speaker 2: wearing maroon. I mean, I can't tell you how many
- 27:33Speaker 2: times I've almost gotten sideways coming out of there. But
- 27:37Speaker 2: it is, you know, it's a different it's a different deal, obviously,
- 27:41Speaker 2: but the revs will be fired up that I think
- 27:43Speaker 2: they're gonna win this game comfortably. Kiffing, no kiffing. I
- 27:46Speaker 2: think they come out and play really hard. The toughest part.
- 27:51Speaker 2: The only concern is that I think Kiffin losing them helps.
- 27:57Speaker 2: I mean, losing Kiffin helps. And that sounds odd because
- 28:00Speaker 2: when you kick a team to ask the way they did,
- 28:02Speaker 2: it is impossible not to overlook them when you're playing
- 28:05Speaker 2: them the second time. It's impossible. We see it all
- 28:08Speaker 2: the time in college basketball all the time, and where
- 28:13Speaker 2: a team will jump up they got beat by thirty
- 28:15Speaker 2: and then boom, they win the ball game the next
- 28:17Speaker 2: time they played. And could I see that yet? Except
- 28:20Speaker 2: Old Miss is gonna be zoosed up for this deal
- 28:22Speaker 2: because everything that's gone on, They're just ready for the
- 28:25Speaker 2: noise to end and play. So I think Old Miss
- 28:28Speaker 2: gonna crush these guys. I do too.
- 28:30Speaker 1: I don't think it's gonna be closed, but I'm gonna
- 28:32Speaker 1: go under on this one. I might even go with
- 28:34Speaker 1: a team total under on the well for two lane.
- 28:38Speaker 1: I think they're really going to struggle here. And again,
- 28:41Speaker 1: I think Golding is going to put his stamp on
- 28:43Speaker 1: this team. I think he's gonna call him more aggressive
- 28:45Speaker 1: defense than we have seen. And they're coming, I mean,
- 28:49Speaker 1: and they are coming, and unless Old Miss makes some mistakes,
- 28:51Speaker 1: I just don't see how tu lane is gonna be
- 28:53Speaker 1: able to sustained drives much less get to that number
- 28:56Speaker 1: like you're talking about to get to twenty points whatever
- 28:58Speaker 1: it would take to hit the over base on how
- 29:00Speaker 1: they got this number calculating. And I don't think Ole
- 29:02Speaker 1: Miss really has any intentions of trying to run this
- 29:04Speaker 1: thing up and hit fifty points by themselves, because they've
- 29:07Speaker 1: got another game on tap that they've got to win anyway,
- 29:09Speaker 1: and so anyway we'll go under. We're gonna lean with
- 29:11Speaker 1: the Old Miss Rebels in that one last game. We've
- 29:14Speaker 1: got to the Knight. Scott is James Madison University, traveling
- 29:17Speaker 1: all the way across the country. If you don't know
- 29:19Speaker 1: where JMU is, it's in Harrisonburg, Virginia. This team won
- 29:22Speaker 1: the Sun Belt. This team's also won the FCS NADDY
- 29:25Speaker 1: in the last ten years. They've played for the FCS
- 29:28Speaker 1: NADDY before that. You could argue that they are the
- 29:31Speaker 1: role model of what you should try to do if
- 29:33Speaker 1: you're moving your program from the FCS level to the
- 29:35Speaker 1: FBS level. Their old coach, Signetti, is it Indiana If
- 29:39Speaker 1: you haven't heard of that guy and wondered where he
- 29:40Speaker 1: came from, because you didn't google him after he told
- 29:42Speaker 1: you he was a James Madison prior to that. Their coach,
- 29:45Speaker 1: Bob Chesney, will be leaving after this game, most likely
- 29:48Speaker 1: when they lose, and be traveling due south to Los
- 29:51Speaker 1: Angeles to take over that job as the UCLA head coach.
- 29:55Speaker 1: But they've done a hell of a job this season.
- 29:57Speaker 1: But man, you start digging into this one and it's
- 30:00Speaker 1: to me yet an Oregon team that really has not
- 30:03Speaker 1: fared well in the playoffs. I had to go all
- 30:05Speaker 1: the way back to the Marcus Mariota Jmes Winston game,
- 30:09Speaker 1: back when Oregon finally got somewhere and did something after
- 30:13Speaker 1: the season, you know in the postseason that you've got here,
- 30:16Speaker 1: and you've got a JMU team that has to travel
- 30:17Speaker 1: across the country to play at autsin tough place, to
- 30:20Speaker 1: play tough travel. Scott, what do we say from early
- 30:23Speaker 1: on the season, teams traveling two time zones, they don't
- 30:27Speaker 1: do well, just don't do well. They didn't do well
- 30:30Speaker 1: against the spread this year over sixty percent. If you
- 30:32Speaker 1: travel two time zones, if you just bet that blindly,
- 30:34Speaker 1: you made a profit this season. And so here they
- 30:37Speaker 1: go across the country playing these two teams are playing
- 30:40Speaker 1: this game. When you look at this one, you dig
- 30:41Speaker 1: into JMU. I love what Jmu's done. I think as
- 30:44Speaker 1: a group of five team, they're probably the best. If
- 30:47Speaker 1: you had a G five championship, I would bet on
- 30:49Speaker 1: them to win it. But when they roll in this one,
- 30:51Speaker 1: They've played two teams that I'm going to give Power
- 30:53Speaker 1: five level. They played Louisville and they played Washington State Louisville.
- 30:58Speaker 1: They looked good in the first probably scripted twenty five plays,
- 31:01Speaker 1: and then after that Louisville kind of put it on them.
- 31:04Speaker 1: And Louisville wasn't a very good Power five team this year.
- 31:06Speaker 1: And then Washington State traveled across the country to play
- 31:09Speaker 1: these guys and damn near won the game. And so
- 31:13Speaker 1: there's a talent gap that's there. I don't see how
- 31:15Speaker 1: they're gonna slow them down. Plus, I think you've got
- 31:18Speaker 1: a bunch of angry Ducks that are getting ready to
- 31:21Speaker 1: rock and roll. They see this that they can move
- 31:23Speaker 1: on to the next step to go play in the
- 31:24Speaker 1: Orange Bowl. Get Stexas Tech. This number is twenty one.
- 31:28Speaker 1: It's light. Take the Ducks, biggest play of the day.
- 31:31Speaker 1: Take the Ducks. Baby, I got.
- 31:35Speaker 2: Again, I can't say this enough. We watched it last
- 31:38Speaker 2: week with Boise Boise probably better than either one of
- 31:43Speaker 2: these teams, if not James Madison being the best. These
- 31:46Speaker 2: guys are gonna get crushed. This is gonna be This
- 31:49Speaker 2: is gonna be a you know, a blowout, basically as
- 31:53Speaker 2: bad as Oregon wants it to be. But the only
- 31:56Speaker 2: way they don't cover is if they call the dogs
- 31:59Speaker 2: off too early. I truly believe that. I think they're
- 32:01Speaker 2: going to crush these guys. I think Austin's gonna be rocking,
- 32:05Speaker 2: really loud place to play. They just simply simply can't
- 32:09Speaker 2: match up. We're gonna bet this deal blind until we can't.
- 32:17Speaker 2: And that is the difference is last year, Askton Genty
- 32:20Speaker 2: and boys he made made a great stand and I
- 32:23Speaker 2: think people overvalued the Power five. Let's not forget Ashton
- 32:27Speaker 2: Genty truly was a transitional player. I mean that kid
- 32:31Speaker 2: was really, really good, and I think people discount how
- 32:37Speaker 2: good he really was, and that is what kept that
- 32:41Speaker 2: ball game close. I mean, he he put that entire
- 32:45Speaker 2: team on his back, with everybody PennState knowing he was
- 32:49Speaker 2: going to get the football twenty five times, and still
- 32:53Speaker 2: kept them in the ballgame jam. You don't have that
- 32:56Speaker 2: kind of dude, But Oregon's got that kind of task.
- 33:01Speaker 2: And I think they're a much more talented team, especially
- 33:06Speaker 2: on the offensive end, than a Penn State was last year.
- 33:12Speaker 2: And so I think we get a lot of distance
- 33:14Speaker 2: here from the pack P five. I think this is
- 33:16Speaker 2: a really tough place to play. You mentioned the time
- 33:19Speaker 2: zone three time change difference here, so I think that
- 33:22Speaker 2: is just another factor in going out there. Look, man,
- 33:26Speaker 2: body clock wise, this kicks off at eight o'clock. Eight
- 33:31Speaker 2: o'clock for those guys. You know that's late, you know,
- 33:34Speaker 2: So I think that the game starts wearing an end
- 33:37Speaker 2: of the night. And I just think this is just
- 33:40Speaker 2: more than these teams are capable of doing. Let's just
- 33:43Speaker 2: get the twelve best teams and let's move on. That
- 33:47Speaker 2: really is what I want. Let's get the twelve best
- 33:50Speaker 2: teams and then let's have the second round. Be it home.
- 33:53Speaker 2: You can't tell me top four seeds don't deserve to
- 33:55Speaker 2: be at home, but do going to bring up one
- 33:57Speaker 2: point again about the people that are organizing these games.
- 34:00Speaker 2: This ship is Ohio State coming to Dallas to play
- 34:03Speaker 2: Texas A and M. For I thought the higher seeded
- 34:06Speaker 2: team was supposed to be rewarded, but that ain't really
- 34:11Speaker 2: rewarding them, you know. I mean they're playing, They're gonn
- 34:14Speaker 2: play a road game. I understand Ohio State fans travel.
- 34:16Speaker 2: That ain't right. That'll be going to the Orange Bowl.
- 34:19Speaker 2: And the flip side is why the hell in Texas
- 34:21Speaker 2: Tech playing.
- 34:21Speaker 1: In Dallas there are four seats seated?
- 34:25Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I don't understand. Again, I just need
- 34:30Speaker 2: that committee. I need them to put somebody on there
- 34:33Speaker 2: that's got some damn common sense. Don't give me a
- 34:36Speaker 2: bunch of rematches, and don't do dumb ship with guys
- 34:39Speaker 2: that are slided for different spots. Because what we had,
- 34:42Speaker 2: the seatings, the seed. It doesn't make a shit if
- 34:45Speaker 2: you make the three seed the two seed, or the
- 34:47Speaker 2: four seed the three seeds. Everybody's gotta beat everybody. If
- 34:50Speaker 2: you explained what we didn't think it was right for
- 34:53Speaker 2: Texas Tech to have to drive all go all the
- 34:55Speaker 2: way to Miami to play, and if we did that
- 34:58Speaker 2: meant we had to send to Ohio State to Dallas,
- 35:00Speaker 2: and we didn't think that was right to have to
- 35:02Speaker 2: play Texas A and m you know, or tweet the
- 35:04Speaker 2: bottom teams where they're not doing that. But just have
- 35:07Speaker 2: some common sense. Just somebody in there say, you know,
- 35:12Speaker 2: maybe we shouldn't take what's gonna be the best game
- 35:16Speaker 2: and play it at two thirty in in the afternoon
- 35:18Speaker 2: on Saturday. You know, maybe it ought to be the
- 35:21Speaker 2: primetime game on Saturday night. And maybe we all take
- 35:24Speaker 2: this Oregon game it's gonna be a total blowout, and
- 35:26Speaker 2: play it on Friday night and let's put Alabama at
- 35:28Speaker 2: two thirties. But what do I know?
- 35:33Speaker 1: I think that you're overestimating the fact that you can
- 35:36Speaker 1: find people to put in charge of college football that
- 35:38Speaker 1: are using common sense.
- 35:39Speaker 2: You can but me and you and Josh pay and
- 35:44Speaker 2: a bunch of people that actually gamble and know what
- 35:46Speaker 2: the hell we're talking about and actually watch games instead
- 35:50Speaker 2: of these ass lowns. I guarantee you those ads aren't
- 35:54Speaker 2: watching eight minutes of games. They may be own in
- 35:57Speaker 2: the room, but they are not watching that is their team.
- 36:01Speaker 2: I mean that they are. They are doing everything else.
- 36:04Speaker 2: I love. You know what kind of whiskey build there
- 36:06Speaker 2: is at the at the end of Saturday at that
- 36:09Speaker 2: hotel every time? Love, They're not watching that much football.
- 36:17Speaker 1: Well, my man, Mac Rhoades was in charge of the committee,
- 36:20Speaker 1: only to be removed from his position because his affair
- 36:25Speaker 1: was getting in the way of doing his job, which, oh,
- 36:27Speaker 1: by the way, was to be the athletic director at Baylor.
- 36:30Speaker 1: So how was he having a second job that he
- 36:32Speaker 1: was in charge of. But yet he's in charge. Let's
- 36:34Speaker 1: put him in charge. Let's do these things. I love
- 36:38Speaker 1: any folks, That's what we got for this weekend. We
- 36:40Speaker 1: got four games. We'll get back to you next week.
- 36:43Speaker 1: I don't know what our holiday schedule is gonna be,
- 36:45Speaker 1: but we'll have probably a little bit more Bowl appearances
- 36:47Speaker 1: as we get closer to the Christmas New Year's and
- 36:49Speaker 1: then obviously we'll have the college semi finals, A quarterfinals, quarterfinals, quarterfinals, yeah,
- 36:55Speaker 1: this quarterfinals coming up after that. We appreciate all the
- 36:57Speaker 1: downloads and tweets, the shares everybody. If you're traveling for
- 37:01Speaker 1: the holidays, be safe. Teers to you, and let's make
- 37:04Speaker 1: a few more bucks before this season's over.
