- 0:25Speaker 1: Hi, and welcome back to Pinkyboo Hauntings. I'm your witchy
- 0:29Speaker 1: host Shy, and I'll be your guide to all things paranormal,
- 0:32Speaker 1: weird and spooky. I'm still recovering from the cold, so
- 0:39Speaker 1: if my voice still sounds weird, I'm sorry. I've been
- 0:43Speaker 1: wanting to rest and get better, but where got other
- 0:47Speaker 1: plans for me? I thought i'd get a break after Christmas,
- 0:51Speaker 1: but with everyone getting sick, it's been just as bad,
- 0:56Speaker 1: or maybe even worse. In fact, New Year's Eve was
- 1:00Speaker 1: somehow way worse than the rest of the holiday season.
- 1:06Speaker 1: But that's enough whining about my life. In today's episode,
- 1:10Speaker 1: I've got two stories for you all, so if we
- 1:14Speaker 1: have time, I might try to find one more. The
- 1:17Speaker 1: first story is called I'm Haunting my own House. My
- 1:23Speaker 1: roommates and I share a standalone house. Neighbors are more
- 1:27Speaker 1: than twenty yards from the house in an old town
- 1:31Speaker 1: in an old neighborhood. The house was built in eighteen
- 1:35Speaker 1: ninety five. Lately, they have been experiencing more and more
- 1:43Speaker 1: when they are home alone, or specifically, when I'm not home,
- 1:50Speaker 1: someone or something that sounds like me talking in the house,
- 1:55Speaker 1: yelling their name, correcting the dogs talking or responding when
- 1:59Speaker 1: they're talking to each other. We keep joking, it's a
- 2:03Speaker 1: skin walker pretending to be me, But I'm never home
- 2:07Speaker 1: when these incidents happen until recently. Maybe it's me, but
- 2:14Speaker 1: it sounds more like a mimic. I was asleep in
- 2:18Speaker 1: my room when my roommates started messaging me, Hey, I'm
- 2:23Speaker 1: using the bathroom. I can't come out right now. I'll
- 2:27Speaker 1: feed the dogs when I'm done. I woke up maybe
- 2:30Speaker 1: an hour later and asked him what the hell is
- 2:34Speaker 1: he talking about. He explained he heard me yelling his
- 2:38Speaker 1: first name from the first floor. He was on the
- 2:42Speaker 1: second floor. My room is in the basement. What makes
- 2:47Speaker 1: this unsettling to me is I didn't hear anyone yelling
- 2:51Speaker 1: his name, and I almost never call him by his
- 2:55Speaker 1: first name unless he's pissing me off. So he was
- 3:00Speaker 1: panicking thinking I was mad while here I was asleep.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Into my knowledge, I have never sleep screamed or yelled.
- 3:11Speaker 1: This is also the first time that they heard me
- 3:14Speaker 1: yelling or saying something that I didn't say while I
- 3:18Speaker 1: was home. Now, my roommate is legitimately freaked out and
- 3:23Speaker 1: scared rightfully, so I'm sure you'd be freaked out too
- 3:28Speaker 1: if you were the one hearing those things. If nothing else,
- 3:32Speaker 1: he probably thinks he's losing his mind at this point.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Does anyone have any similar experiences, any idea what kind
- 3:42Speaker 1: of entity would mimic one Pacific person? And is it dangerous?
- 3:48Speaker 1: Should we do something or just kind of live with
- 3:52Speaker 1: the fact that I haunt my own house. Update? I
- 3:57Speaker 1: was talking to my friend who comes and lets our
- 4:00Speaker 1: dogs out when all of my roommates and I are gone,
- 4:04Speaker 1: and I guess he has heard it too, thought it
- 4:07Speaker 1: was a dog camera and didn't say anything. He didn't
- 4:11Speaker 1: hear the voice clearly, but he was sure it was
- 4:15Speaker 1: me on the first floor when he was in the
- 4:18Speaker 1: basement to let out my old dog who stays in
- 4:21Speaker 1: my room. All right, two things. I guess it could
- 4:25Speaker 1: be the first thing I already kind of mentioned, and
- 4:29Speaker 1: you kind of said it too. It very well could
- 4:33Speaker 1: be a mimic. That's something that likes to pretend to
- 4:36Speaker 1: be someone or whatever reason. I don't really know, but
- 4:42Speaker 1: the point is it likes to use a person's voice
- 4:46Speaker 1: and likeness. Those that usually experience this say they hear
- 4:51Speaker 1: a loved one or a friend talking to them and
- 4:54Speaker 1: can even have a conversation with him, only to realize
- 4:58Speaker 1: that person is nowhere to to be found. Some have
- 5:02Speaker 1: even said they've seen the person in question, just for
- 5:06Speaker 1: that person to come home or tell them they were
- 5:08Speaker 1: never where they saw them. I might not know much
- 5:12Speaker 1: about mimics, but I do know you don't fall for
- 5:15Speaker 1: their tricks. Another option is that maybe you are haunting
- 5:20Speaker 1: your own home. I sure projection is a possibility. I
- 5:25Speaker 1: don't know what you're doing when you're not there, but
- 5:29Speaker 1: I guess there is a chance you're leaving your body
- 5:31Speaker 1: without knowing it. Another possibility is it's not actually you,
- 5:37Speaker 1: but a piece of you that's left a mark on
- 5:39Speaker 1: the place. Though, now that I'm thinking about it, maybe
- 5:43Speaker 1: not because you didn't mention the thing pretending to be
- 5:46Speaker 1: you would respond to him or just have a conversation
- 5:51Speaker 1: with him. So that wouldn't make that much sense. So
- 5:57Speaker 1: I guess there is only two options, one not so
- 6:01Speaker 1: bad and one not so good. All right, let's move
- 6:09Speaker 1: on to our next story, possible paranormal experience with my sister.
- 6:15Speaker 1: So I'm a very pragmatic person and pretty skeptical about
- 6:20Speaker 1: the paranormal. This is my first post about anything like this,
- 6:27Speaker 1: and I want to get some opinions on this, so
- 6:30Speaker 1: here it goes. Last year, I was getting ready to
- 6:34Speaker 1: meet up with my sister at our parents' place for
- 6:37Speaker 1: the holidays. We were both in our mid thirties and
- 6:41Speaker 1: don't see each other often. Just prior to meeting up,
- 6:46Speaker 1: she told me she had been having some weird things
- 6:48Speaker 1: happened to her after she bought this antique lamp. Gotta
- 6:52Speaker 1: be careful getting antiques sometimes you just might be bringing
- 6:57Speaker 1: an unwanted guess home with you. She bought it from
- 7:03Speaker 1: a second hand store and told me she had to
- 7:07Speaker 1: have it. She was drawn to it immediately when she
- 7:10Speaker 1: saw it. It was a bit on the expensive side
- 7:14Speaker 1: for an old lamp, but apparently it was from the
- 7:17Speaker 1: nineteen fifties. It had been worth a bit of money,
- 7:21Speaker 1: but unfortunately it was missing half of its power cable,
- 7:25Speaker 1: as if it was ripped off for something. Listen, I
- 7:30Speaker 1: get being drawn to an item, but why buy it
- 7:34Speaker 1: if the cable is ripped out? I doubt she was
- 7:38Speaker 1: wanting to resell it for the money. So what good
- 7:42Speaker 1: is a lamp without a power cable? When she brought
- 7:46Speaker 1: it home, bizarre things started to happen. She told me.
- 7:50Speaker 1: One night she had just finished cleaning up her apartment
- 7:54Speaker 1: and put all of her daughter's toys away. Her daughter
- 7:58Speaker 1: was three at the time, and decided to phone her
- 8:01Speaker 1: best friend. She was in her daughter's room with her
- 8:05Speaker 1: cat and her daughter was sleeping in another room. Apparently,
- 8:11Speaker 1: the cat suddenly jumped off the bed and stared at
- 8:14Speaker 1: the door. Normally she paused at the door when she
- 8:18Speaker 1: wants out. My sister let her out and found one
- 8:23Speaker 1: of her daughter's toys on the ground in front of
- 8:25Speaker 1: the door. She checked on her daughter in the other
- 8:29Speaker 1: room and she was fast asleep. She swore she didn't
- 8:33Speaker 1: leave it there. See, you should have left the limp
- 8:37Speaker 1: at the store instead. Now you've got ghost. Hopefully it's
- 8:42Speaker 1: not a bad ghost. I say that, but watch as
- 8:46Speaker 1: I'm proven wrong. It's probably going to start attacking her
- 8:50Speaker 1: scare her daughter. Another time, she was home alone and
- 8:55Speaker 1: her daughter's music box started playing randomly. My sister was
- 9:01Speaker 1: so freaked out she took a video of it and
- 9:04Speaker 1: showed me. In the video, she was explaining what happened,
- 9:09Speaker 1: and I could hear the stress and emotion in her voice.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Apparently this happened multiple times. So later that year, me
- 9:17Speaker 1: and her met up for the holidays at my parents' place.
- 9:21Speaker 1: We decided to stay up late one night, have some drinks,
- 9:24Speaker 1: play some video games, and catch up. We were playing
- 9:28Speaker 1: a game called Vigige. That sounds so stupid saying we
- 9:31Speaker 1: were playing a game called Vigige, which is a really
- 9:35Speaker 1: scary horror game and one of my personal favorites. By
- 9:43Speaker 1: the way, I know my pronunciation is like horrible, but
- 9:46Speaker 1: I really don't know how to say it. Oh but
- 9:51Speaker 1: this is going to sound so crazy as I faced
- 9:53Speaker 1: off against some scary stuff. But I don't do horror games.
- 9:58Speaker 1: I can't play them. I get so scared and panic
- 10:01Speaker 1: over every little noise. As we were playing, she was
- 10:07Speaker 1: telling me about the lamp in how she thinks this
- 10:11Speaker 1: being haunted by a child. At that very moment, the
- 10:16Speaker 1: neighbor's dog started barking very aggressively. It's like one am
- 10:21Speaker 1: on a very quiet road. I remember feeling like a
- 10:25Speaker 1: gust of wind very lightly go past me. And seconds later,
- 10:30Speaker 1: a musical toy that my mom kept for her granddaughter
- 10:33Speaker 1: in a toy chest downstairs where we were hanging out,
- 10:38Speaker 1: suddenly started playing. The toy was at the bottom of
- 10:42Speaker 1: the toy chests and nothing bumped into it. Well, either
- 10:47Speaker 1: that spirit is attached to your sister now, or maybe
- 10:50Speaker 1: you have another spirit around you. I briefly looked around
- 10:55Speaker 1: the room to see if anyone had been there, but
- 11:00Speaker 1: there wasn't. My sister started crying and said, see, I
- 11:05Speaker 1: told you. I pretended to ignore what just happened and
- 11:10Speaker 1: continued playing the game. Really, your sister is freaking out
- 11:15Speaker 1: and a ghost is messing with you, and you just
- 11:17Speaker 1: ignore it all and better, yet you go back to
- 11:22Speaker 1: playing a scary game. That psychopath behavior. If you ask me,
- 11:29Speaker 1: I maybe an only child, but this seems mean to me,
- 11:33Speaker 1: just to ignore your sister like that, Like is this
- 11:37Speaker 1: normal for siblings to do? Or am I right that
- 11:41Speaker 1: this seems mean to do? But my sister was pretty distraught,
- 11:46Speaker 1: so I told her not to worry about it because
- 11:50Speaker 1: we were playing a horror game and already on edge.
- 11:53Speaker 1: Plus it was late and probably time to go to bed.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Looking back, I wish I was more empathy towards her.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Oh yeah, you should have probably been more understanding and
- 12:06Speaker 1: cared for your sister's emotions in that moment. It's the
- 12:10Speaker 1: least you could have done. And stop playing the game.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Even if it wasn't a ghost messing with you, your
- 12:19Speaker 1: sister's not gonna want to play after all that. So
- 12:27Speaker 1: the pragmatist in me how casually contrived her whole story
- 12:31Speaker 1: was the lamp, the toys, the music boxes. But the
- 12:37Speaker 1: shared experience we had that night definitely gave me paulse
- 12:43Speaker 1: I think she ended up getting rid of that lamp good.
- 12:47Speaker 1: At least she finally let go of the lamp, and
- 12:50Speaker 1: as far as I know, the weird events stopped happening.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Even better, just proves there was probably something haunting that lamp.
- 13:00Speaker 1: Me and her don't talk about it much, but maybe
- 13:03Speaker 1: we should. I feel like my pragmaticism might be getting
- 13:08Speaker 1: in the way of connecting with people's experiences. But it's
- 13:13Speaker 1: really hard not to be a skeptic, you know, Oh,
- 13:17Speaker 1: I get that there is a part of me that
- 13:20Speaker 1: is a skeptic despite everything I've experienced and seen. But
- 13:25Speaker 1: even if you didn't believe her, you probably could have
- 13:28Speaker 1: still been there for your sister. She was clearly scared,
- 13:32Speaker 1: whether something was there or not, I don't think that
- 13:35Speaker 1: should have mattered in that moment. I'm also unsure if
- 13:39Speaker 1: whatever scared you at your parents' house was the same
- 13:42Speaker 1: spirit as the one attached to the lamp. I mean,
- 13:46Speaker 1: I guess it could have followed your sister to the house,
- 13:50Speaker 1: but if it could have done that, I feel like
- 13:53Speaker 1: it could have stayed with her after getting rid of
- 13:55Speaker 1: the lamp. It did seem like it was calling for her,
- 14:00Speaker 1: after all. I'm not really sure, but I do know
- 14:04Speaker 1: your sister was freaked out by something, and that should
- 14:08Speaker 1: have been enough to believe even just a little. All Right,
- 14:14Speaker 1: I think we can do one more before we end
- 14:16Speaker 1: this episode, So let me go find one real quick.
- 14:26Speaker 1: I'm back, and I figured we could end on a
- 14:29Speaker 1: sweeter story, at least I hope it is. The title
- 14:32Speaker 1: seems like it would be anyways. It's called Grandmother Approached
- 14:38Speaker 1: at Lunch. See doesn't that sound sweet? This happened about
- 14:44Speaker 1: an hour ago, and I'm knocked out about it. I
- 14:50Speaker 1: don't think I've ever heard anyone use that phraze to
- 14:52Speaker 1: explain they're in shock. It just kind of sounds weird
- 14:55Speaker 1: and awkward. My wife and I were having lunch at
- 15:01Speaker 1: a restaurant with her brother and sister in law and
- 15:05Speaker 1: her elderly aunt. One of my wife's favorite people in
- 15:09Speaker 1: the world. A woman approached our table, though no one
- 15:15Speaker 1: saw her approach. She looked exactly like my maternal grandmother,
- 15:22Speaker 1: who I loved and passed away in two thousand and seven.
- 15:27Speaker 1: She was beaming with happiness. She said hello to my wife,
- 15:31Speaker 1: as if she knew and loved her, then my wife's aunt,
- 15:36Speaker 1: giving them both special attention. She then looked at me, again,
- 15:42Speaker 1: beaming with happiness, and gave me a big thumbs up.
- 15:47Speaker 1: She held it for a moment until I finally returned
- 15:51Speaker 1: the gesture, then walked away. We were all sitting right
- 15:56Speaker 1: near the door, but none of us saw her leave.
- 16:03Speaker 1: I'm absolutely convinced that was my grandmother, and I'm a
- 16:07Speaker 1: little knocked out by it. I'm posting it here because
- 16:12Speaker 1: I feel like I have to tell someone. I don't
- 16:15Speaker 1: know what else to do. Well, it definitely didn't disappoint
- 16:22Speaker 1: Oh my god, Oh my god, that was so sweet.
- 16:29Speaker 1: I don't know about you, guys, but I'm starting to
- 16:31Speaker 1: tear up a little after reading that. Shit. I also
- 16:38Speaker 1: don't know what to say other than I think your
- 16:40Speaker 1: grandma came to visit you. Shit. It's sad time of month,
- 16:47Speaker 1: so I'm way too emotional for this. Sorry, she does
- 16:53Speaker 1: know and love your wife. By the way, she might
- 16:57Speaker 1: not have met her when she was alive, but she
- 17:01Speaker 1: definitely has been watching over you, so she knew your wife,
- 17:07Speaker 1: which is why she spoke to her like she did.
- 17:11Speaker 1: I bet she was really proud of you and needed
- 17:14Speaker 1: you to know that face to face. I'm sure you'll
- 17:18Speaker 1: be treasuring that moment for the rest of your life,
- 17:21Speaker 1: at least until you meet her again. I do hope
- 17:25Speaker 1: it brought you some comfort to know she was watching
- 17:27Speaker 1: over you this whole time. Aren't you all happy I've
- 17:34Speaker 1: found one more tourrey Before ending things today, I probably
- 17:37Speaker 1: made us all cry a little. Sorry, but what do
- 17:43Speaker 1: you guys think I want to know? Let me know
- 17:46Speaker 1: what you think about the stories are what you think
- 17:48Speaker 1: could be going on in these experiences, and don't forget
- 17:53Speaker 1: to rate and review the podcast. If you're on YouTube,
- 17:56Speaker 1: like and subscribe, of course, I think you'll know the
- 18:00Speaker 1: things you have to do to help us grow. But
- 18:04Speaker 1: it always helps to remind people, right just in case,
- 18:08Speaker 1: I too, really want this coven to grow. So sorry
- 18:12Speaker 1: if I sound annoying asking all the time for you
- 18:14Speaker 1: guys to do this, but it really will help out.
- 18:20Speaker 1: But For now, the covenants ajourn, See you next time
- 18:24Speaker 1: by
