Transcript
- 0:01[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to the Mile High Huddle Podcast with your football freeze, Chad Jensen and Zach Kilmer.
- 0:08[SPEAKER_00]: Remember, Broncos Country is not a geographical location.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's a state of being.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome in everybody, it is the Mile High Hotel podcast and I'm your host, Chad Jensen with me, my fellow football priest, my fellow co-host.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I'm you love him, Zach Kelberman Zach.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_01]: We've heard different rumors about what really went on behind the scenes with Drake Greenlaw, but you know, you can pay attention to the rumors or you can just kind of take it from the horses mouth, so to speak.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_01]: And he admitted, and recently he appeared on
- 0:50[SPEAKER_01]: him, he wasn't happy as a Denver Bronco.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_01]: Why?
- 0:55[SPEAKER_02]: It basically boil down in what culture fit and that was the the hypothesis all along when it came to drink green law.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_02]: It never seemed like he was a fit and never seemed like he missed in van shows of deep in defense and he even talked about that after the season like it was difficult for him to adjust to it and it was a
- 1:11[SPEAKER_02]: a big culture shock coming from San Francisco to Denver and he just never got on the same page.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_02]: But what I like in the comments chat and we can read them.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_02]: I don't have them pulled up, but he goes, listen, I appreciate the Broncos for giving me the chance.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_02]: I'm paraphrasing.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_02]: I appreciate Sean Payton.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_02]: It didn't work out.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_02]: It is what it is.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_02]: I'm happy to be a niner.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_02]: Right after he got released.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_02]: He crawled back to San Francisco.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_02]: He just, that suits him better.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_02]: I wish him well.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_02]: He wasn't ever a fit culturally or even maybe personal-wise in Denver,
- 1:38[SPEAKER_01]: So here's the exact quote, exactly, basically paraphrase.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_01]: It just fine there.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_01]: But here's what Dre Greenlaw said via NFL.com.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_01]: He said quote, for me, it was like the fact, I'm not healthy.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_01]: I don't feel that twitch or that gear that I felt like I need to have.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_01]: But obviously, I'm out here trying to do everything I can to be on the field.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_01]: It makes it tough when you pay a guy 11 million and he's only on the field 50% of the time.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_01]: It made it tough for me.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_01]: It made it to the point where it kind of makes you not happy.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I've got to slowly come in and take reps from somebody else.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_01]: which the linebackers were playing really, really good at the time.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_01]: So now I'm just taking reps from this guy.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_01]: And now it's like, okay, we're splitting reps. How are we going to do it?
- 2:24[SPEAKER_01]: One week it's this, one week it's that.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, I've just never been in that position before.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I just wasn't happy.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_01]: That's really what it boiled down to at the end of the days at close quote.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_02]: What I don't understand there though, it sounds like and it could be his truth.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not going to push back too much.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_02]: It sounds like a little bit of a cop-out chat because he's saying, oh, I felt bad.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_02]: They're paying me all this money and I was hurt.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_02]: Well, he was hurt in San Francisco, you know, and he had an injury history there.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_02]: It's easy to feel bad for the same reasons.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_02]: No, I mean, he still cast the checks.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_02]: He still took it from the Brock was organization and deposited in his bank.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_02]: It's just the fact that I don't know that when he got on the field and got the opportunity because remember when he got cleared and he came back, he was the no-down starting inside linebacker.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_02]: They basically built what they wanted to do around Drey Greenlaw and he just failed to launch.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_02]: And I just think he's covering for his lack of maybe production in his full season in Denver.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_02]: Like he said, it is what it is though.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_01]: Then we got, we're about to say hello in the chat to some folks here, but the second half of what he said, to me therein lies the truth.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like the pride in any professional athlete, it'd be one thing Zach could be got hurt playing football.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_01]: I got hurt during offseason workouts and that's the injury Zach that plagued him throughout.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_01]: He re aggravated and camp and all that stuff.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_01]: It's, yeah, I understand the pride issue where you're like, man, they're paying me all this money and I don't feel like I'm
- 3:46[SPEAKER_01]: you know repaying that with my impact on the field.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_01]: I get that that could be a disappointment.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_01]: Enough to make you unhappy.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_01]: I doubt it.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_01]: It's nothing new for Drake Greenland.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that level of money was new for Drake Greenland, but like he's been hurt before.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_01]: He's dealt with the setbacks of Zack and the disappointment and the psychological process of dealing with that stuff as a pro where we get into perhaps the true kernel of truth, Zack, is by the
- 4:14[SPEAKER_01]: the Broncos had a good rotation going with singleton and sternad and he felt self-conscious about A coming in and taking somebody else's reps, right?
- 4:24[SPEAKER_01]: Like, uh, you know, like you feel like you're jumping in midstream.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_01]: The Broncos had not lost a game when he stepped in in a week.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_01]: What was that?
- 4:31[SPEAKER_01]: Zach week seven.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_01]: One was the meet and greet seven, right?
- 4:35[SPEAKER_01]: I think that was his first game.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_02]: He was suspended for week eight because of the use of send a week eight.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_01]: So we came back week seven against the giants by that point.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_01]: The Broncos, they're kind of rolling, right?
- 4:48[SPEAKER_01]: And then you know, it's like find a way fit and get in where you fit and type thing, you felt self conscious.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_01]: And then when they realize, look, we have three really good linebackers.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_01]: And so we're going to do this rotation.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_01]: He obviously zacked it, not take kindly to how Vance Joseph and the linebackers coach, I forget his name,
- 5:11[SPEAKER_02]: Nothing new for Vijay.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_02]: I've talked about that thoroughly.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_02]: His lack of production, squeezing production out of valuable or high priced or high commodity linebackers.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, though, Chad, you mentioned the fact that he got hurt in the off season.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_02]: That's definitely valid.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_02]: It didn't happen during the season.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_02]: But he was also rehabbing a prior injury that did take place during the season with the Niners.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_02]: It wasn't in the Achilles.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_02]: I think Dre Greelau was coming back from as well.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_02]: And he still accepted the offer.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_02]: The Brock was put in front of him.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_02]: So for him to start bringing up $11 million a year, I don't know, maybe it's something for me.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_02]: I'm oddly obsessing about or getting mad over, but it just seemed like a little bit of a cop out in that answer.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_01]: Let's say hello to folks in the chat.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_01]: We got M. Blacks here to party a dear member.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_01]: We got Sam Bam jumping in with the generous super.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_01]: He's not able to stay.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_01]: It sounds like I'm sure he'll hear this later.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_01]: But Sam brother, thank you for the support big dog.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_01]: We could really use it this time of year.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_01]: So thank you, helping us keep the lights on.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_01]: But since evening guys, got a jet off to a meeting.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_01]: wanted to check in and say hi.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_01]: I don't get why green law was unhappy in Denver, but so be it three weeks until the draft go Broncos.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_01]: That's right, Sam.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_01]: We are inching closer and now that we're actually in April, Zach and we're through the April Fool's
- 6:25[SPEAKER_01]: almost cursed BS.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_01]: We can really let the time fly.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, Sam.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_01]: Papa bear also checking in saying good evening Broncos country and hashtag god bless the USA hashtag.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go bow to a very apropos hashtags.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_01]: I might I may say.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_01]: Papa bear great to have you with us tonight, brother.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_01]: We also have Lady D in a row Zach three Mount Rushmore Superstars checking in.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_01]: I'm really excited to hear what Lady D has to say.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much, Diana.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_01]: She says hi Chad Zach and everyone else seems like green law wanted to be first and make more money, but if he was so unhappy, then I'm glad he found a place to be happy and got paid.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_01]: He got seven and a half million from the Niners.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_01]: So it's about three quarters of what the contract would have paid him in Denver.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_01]: But some of that might be offset a little bit.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_01]: So like he's probably making Zach about what he was making with the Broncos because there is some dead money, a little bit of dead money, not as much, but a little bit.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_01]: She says, I'm excited for the draft in the moves after the draft.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_01]: Go Broncos, MHH for life.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, that's the thing is I really like Drake Greenlaw.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_01]: And I'll be honest with you, Zach, Sean Peyton, and sounded like he was about to cry when he was talking about
- 7:41[SPEAKER_01]: just unfortunate how it didn't pan out.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_01]: But Greenlaw, what really endeared him to me at the same time, pissed off a lot of people.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_01]: And that was what he did after his very first game as a pro, going in and defending Justin Sternad kind of against a ref that was kind of pushing him around whatever gets the suspension.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_01]: So I like that about him like the buy-in that this is my team the ownership like come on man You're gonna step to you.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna go like but as you know Zach when you fight the law the law wins Yeah, that's definitely true.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_02]: We're so we're so starving for a dog in Denver You know, in a keep-to-leab or Derek Wolf type that a chat a deaf woo type and Drake Greenlaw brought that in space and he was an easy player to root for
- 8:27[SPEAKER_02]: Everyone had the free 57 shirts printed up when he was suspended by the NFL.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_02]: Everyone had the petitions going.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_02]: We love that he took ownership of the defense.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_02]: It just never worked out.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_02]: But that's more on the Broncos front office.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_02]: It's a problem I've had with them with George Peter, even John L. We're going back years when you sign or draft injury prone players.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_02]: don't be surprised when they get injured again.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_02]: They can't beat relying on those types chat and we all had high hopes for Dre.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_02]: It didn't work out but to Deanna's point and thank you so much for your super Deanna.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_02]: Hopefully in the draft they rectify the position because I don't know maybe chat and I are still split.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not overly confident about the double-est pairing and inside lineback are going into the season.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_01]: It's fair.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I think it's a fair concern and critique.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_01]: I am, yeah, we're probably a little split on it.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not so much worried about the starting tandem.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_01]: I'm worried about the depth.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_01]: And again, they chose to use three linebackers last season because they were paying green law.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_01]: They wanted to get them on the field.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_01]: And yet Zach, they were getting production.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_01]: They liked that a sternad and singleton.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_01]: So maybe they don't plan or need to necessarily use three linebackers, but just by virtue of attrition
- 9:36[SPEAKER_01]: odds are you're going to need a strong top three.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_01]: So even if you agree with me and you think I'm okay with the linebackers, you still need that one more guy at the very least Zach.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_01]: And if you agree with Zach fully like, you know, you're skeptical about this starting duo will come hell or high waters.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_01]: Zach, you need some some reinforcements.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_01]: And the draft could be a place to do it, especially that second round pick number 62 overall.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_02]: No, I mean, listen, for sure, I could be wrong.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I'm, that's why I'm not sitting in a front office right now, making the decisions.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_02]: It's just the fact that when you talk about injury from players as well, Chad and you're putting your eggs and Alex Singleton's basket, listen, another super easy guy to root for, super likable, personalable guy.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_02]: But isn't it a certainty at this point that he's gonna miss time at some point during the season?
- 10:24[SPEAKER_02]: I can't hold cancer against him, but he's still missed time.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_02]: So you have to have that up and coming third line back
- 10:31[SPEAKER_02]: That's why if there's Jacob Rodriguez on the board or even goal day, I'm really thinking long and hard about pulling the trigger in the second round coming up.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, if Rodriguez is there by some miracle at 62, man, like, don't overthink it.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_01]: Don't go, oh, well, you know, inside linebacker.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_01]: It's not a premium position.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, we haven't drafted an inside linebacker this high since DJ Williams.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_01]: Don't overthink it.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_01]: Rodriguez is like instant impact guy.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_01]: And a guy that if you draft him, he's going to be a role player starter for years and years and years, but lady D, much love and respect.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, my friend.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_01]: We really appreciate you.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_01]: And guys, we got a lot more that we're going to be getting to here tonight, but first, you know, listen, this just happened yesterday at first, I thought it was April fools, but now it turned out that.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_01]: a dear member of the MHH staff and a podcast host whom you all know well, not Zach or myself, but he was hacked on his Twitter account and he got blocked out of it and his Twitter accounts now was posting all kinds of just spammy crypto BS and he's trying he's dealing with X trying to get his account access back and all that stuff.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_01]: But guys, I'm telling you right now,
- 11:42[SPEAKER_01]: Never before has online privacy been more important and that is where Surfshark comes in.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_01]: It's a game changer.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_01]: Surfshark is a virtual private network which covers all your online activity.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_01]: And using a VPN is like wearing pants guys.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_01]: All the important stuff stays private and secure when you walk out your front door.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_01]: Once your device connects to the internet, it's easy.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_01]: All the information is now encrypted, which keeps your online activity safe, hidden.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_01]: That's the key from all the snoopers and trackers.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_02]: Guys, raise your hand if, like me, you've searched something kind of random like prices on a Broncos jersey and next thing you know, you're getting jersey ads every time you open one of your social media apps or browse online.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_02]: Thankfully, today's sponsor Surfshark VPN can help us out with that.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_02]: A VPN allows me to mask my real IP address that my online activity is no longer being tracked.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_01]: And because you can mask your IP address, you can choose different locations, which then allow you to access different content.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_01]: Like Netflix might have a certain show or movie blocked in this market, but in the other market, it doesn't very handy.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_01]: And they also offer Surfshark Alert.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_01]: obviously indispensable.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_01]: The only thing scarier guys than forgetting a password is finding out just like I was talking about before we started getting into Surfshark that a password has been leaked online somewhere and someone you don't want to have have it has the dang thing.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_01]: The Surfshark alert feature can help with this by constantly scanning the web for your personal info, email address, type stuff, passwords, credit card details, send you an instant alert.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_01]: If any of them appear
- 13:21[SPEAKER_02]: So take control of your online privacy and protect yourself against data breaches by signing up with Surfshark VPN.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_02]: It comes with a risk-free 30 day money back guarantee.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_02]: Go to surfshark.com slash mile high or just go to surfshark.com and use our code mile high.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_02]: Check out to get four extra months of surfshark VPN against that again, that surfshark.com slash mile high with our code mile high and by the way, the URL and the code can be found
- 13:51[SPEAKER_02]: below.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_01]: That's right.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, back to the conversation at hand.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_01]: We got, where is he?
- 13:58[SPEAKER_01]: There he is.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_01]: Right here.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_01]: David Youngkin, celebrating seven months of membership due to how cool is that, brother.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, pal, for being with us seven months as a member.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_01]: He says, I guess the defense was hard to learn.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_01]: That is one of the rumors.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_01]: Now, Drey himself, when he was speaking about why he was unhappy and kind of why it didn't fit in Denver, did not specifically, then I'm a wearsack, bringing up the system or that it was hard to learn, but we have heard that as a rumor elsewhere, unconfirmed.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's, if we just like read between the lines, obviously, I'm not, I'm, I don't mean to sound snarky to you, David, but like a lot of people are still scratching their heads as to why, you know, what he meant or why he's no longer here, if he integrated better chat, if he was a better fit for the system, he wouldn't be complaining about Sternaud and Singleton because he would have beaten them out, and he would have been the starter, and he would have been kept on the roster, and one of them would have been allowed to walk in for agency.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_02]: I just think again, that's why I said the the money comment he made earlier was a little bit of a cop out in him not owning that when he got his opportunity, yeah, he made a couple nice plays the goal line stand he had a pick, but it wasn't as transformative as either we thought it was going to be or even maybe he thought it was going to be.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_01]: no doubt about it.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_01]: He wanted to go be Jordan instead of being the Pippin to Fred Warner, so to speak in San Francisco, but he's going back home where he's comfortable and we'll see how that plays out for him.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_01]: I wish him nothing but the best.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_01]: Ron, good to see you pal, saying hit the thumbs up, subscribe to the Milha Hotel podcast on YouTube.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_01]: Become a member.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_01]: He says in the Mount Rushmore supporters and join the discord.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_01]: That link for the discord and becoming a member.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_01]: It's in the.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_01]: the description of this video.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_01]: So thank you for that reminder.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_01]: My brother, uh, we got, uh, Chase and I can see Dre having a bounce back season this year in San Francisco.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_01]: We'll be fine on our end, draft a guy to pair with singleton and sternad and let's go.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I mean, the other thing we got to remember here.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_01]: We talked about this yesterday's act, but Sean Payton said Tuesday, the Broncos are planning on giving Jonah Ellis the third year outside linebacker snaps.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_01]: reps at inside linebacker.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_01]: Now how serious they are about that in terms of how much that they're banking on that and thus Zach, how big of a roll that's going to play in their decision making in the draft, we don't know.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_01]: I hope it doesn't play any role because you don't want to rely on a backup as much as we like, as much as we like, Jonah Ellis Zach, you don't want to
- 16:29[SPEAKER_01]: To a new position to be a backup inside a lineback or when you could just draft a guy
- 16:35[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, draft a guy and then leave Jonah Ellis where he is.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_02]: The one of the better up and coming.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_02]: Adressors in the NFL.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not going to get into it.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_02]: You guys don't want to hear me complain about it.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_02]: But I just I really don't like this move.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_02]: I hope it's limited if that's.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_02]: And I hope it's a smokescreen chase.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_02]: I hope the Broncos were throwing that out there because they plan to draft a lineback or at 62.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_02]: They don't want to show their hand.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_02]: But I agree with the sentiment there at the end.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_02]: If you want to keep singleton and stornado, I guess I have to live with it fine.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_02]: But don't.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_02]: put all your eggs in their basket, drafting linebacker if you can pretty high up.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_01]: Daniel Barry sports.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_01]: What's up buddy, dear member saying happy Thursday.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_01]: Hello, everybody.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_01]: It's great to see you pal.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_01]: We got Storm Blessing.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_01]: What's up, party people.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_01]: I bounced early yesterday.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_01]: Been busy today, helping troubleshoot a friends PC issue.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_01]: Hoping tonight, I'll get a break and be able to enjoy the podcast.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's saying goes here, dude, we hope you will as well.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_01]: We got bigger and hanging out on YouTube, making the transition.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_01]: And this is a message I'm going to say it once again to all our Facebook folks.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_01]: We're not going to be streaming to Facebook on the live streams much longer so like if you've been putting off transitioning over and moving over and joining us on YouTube start doing it now because the way it'll
- 17:46[SPEAKER_01]: kind of transition is we'll go all right guys we're going to stream for the first 10 minutes of the show to Facebook and then we're going to kill that stream to Facebook.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_01]: And if you want to watch the rest of the show participate, you got to go on YouTube just because Facebook is not making it easy on us to reach you guys anymore.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_01]: And that really is the main issue there.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_01]: So bigger and glad to see that you've made it look at this.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_01]: Taylor Christensen, a member for
- 18:14[SPEAKER_01]: He says, I'm tired of the drag green law comments.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_01]: Kyle Pitzzack, still possible.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_01]: Why do you suppose awesome members of our community like Taylor still have Kyle Pitz on the brain after the Falcons franchise tagging?
- 18:30[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, it's quite the transition there, Taylor, talking about from Drake Green Law to a tight end.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_02]: Listen, if you're suggesting that the Broncos go after him or acquire Kyle Pitz, that's not going to happen.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_02]: They made their move at tight end, obviously it was bringing back Adam Troutman.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_02]: They retained Evan Ingraham.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_02]: It's another spot, though, where they might be just kind of slow playing their hand and deploying a smokescreen.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe they intend to draft stowers if he falls, or another tight end in rounds to each add, but just like Lineback or Taylor, that's a position that they can't be done with, they have to attack preferably aggressively in the draft.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly, exactly this.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_01]: I think the pits ship for this year anyway Taylor has officially sailed, but speaking of Falcons and former Falcons, is that let's talk about this.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_01]: Kirk Cousins arriving in the AFC West guys, signing with the Las Vegas Raiders with a very confusing contract that we don't necessarily need to get into the weeds on, but basically it amounts to
- 19:30[SPEAKER_01]: kind of a one year and then some the team has some options type deal.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_01]: Why do you suppose that did the raiders you figure not learn anything from the mistakes it landed made paying all that money to Kurt Cousins to one month later than draft Michael Panics Jr in the first round.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody knows they're taking Fernando Mendoza number one overall.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_01]: So why you spend in all that money on Cousins?
- 19:54[SPEAKER_01]: Unless
- 19:55[SPEAKER_01]: Unless Zach, two things, one, maybe you're not draft in Mendoza or you're having doubts.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_01]: Two, those doubts, maybe you've learned something about Mendoza, maybe through your own study of him and interactions with him.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_01]: You're not sold and you don't really like any of the other quarterbacks well enough, Zach, to take them number one overall.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, those are the implications, doesn't mean it's true, but you got to wonder.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_02]: Number one, God bless Bonix.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_02]: The Broncos don't have to go through this.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_02]: Number two, they don't really have options.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_02]: You mentioned the weird quirky contract.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_02]: The team option in 27, it's like a $2,80 million escalator that activates.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_02]: It's crazy.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_02]: It's crazy.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_02]: They would assume that contract from Atlanta, but that's their problem.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe you're right.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_02]: They're a little down on men doza or they could just be trying to supplement a rookie with a veteran who has experience.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_02]: someone mendoza can lean on or someone mendoza can learn behind while a lot of Kirk cousin starts and breaks in that team.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_02]: Either way, it's kind of a low ceiling move and I'm glad I'm not the raiders.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_02]: Reason number 1,053, why I'm glad I'm not the raiders.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_01]: No doubt about it.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_01]: Thank the your lucky stars guys that you're not in that family is now real quick from Chase on a grab this because it's not exactly something's active.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_01]: We can quote word for words.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm
- 21:16[SPEAKER_01]: the Denver Post.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_01]: And so that that, you know, the interaction with the ref after the giant's game that came down to the wire and all that, can you, can you make this out here, guys, you're all trying to blow it up a little bit.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_01]: So that's about what I imagine he said, chef.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_01]: So here's Luke, a quote, Drake Greenlaw also finally revealed what he told official Brad Allen the lead to his one-game suspension after the Broncos week seven win over the Giants and you can see it Right here y'all man that was some BS you a B for calling that that's exactly what I said I mean again guys.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_01]: I like Drake Greenlaw.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_01]: I do I'm bummed it didn't work out, but thank you, Luke
- 22:04[SPEAKER_02]: Luke a man.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_02]: He's killing it again.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_02]: I recommend it highly if you're on Twitter.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_02]: Go follow that man But like that's literally word forward about what I suspected Greenlaw said and I don't know that they would They acted like he threatened the referees family and his friends and threatened to like murder him then on the field chat For the fact really quickly for Brad Allen to throw a flag after the game clock had expired Is still the board of the most ridiculous things will or on the subject what are the most ridiculous things?
- 22:33[SPEAKER_02]: I've seen and quite some time
- 22:34[SPEAKER_01]: No doubt, no doubt.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, shout out, look at Evans.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_01]: Dear member, Jettie Splash checking in with the generous super chat.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, brother.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, Jettie.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_01]: Says, what positions should we go after late in the draft?
- 22:47[SPEAKER_01]: That's an interesting question.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_01]: I would say late, we're talking the fifth and seventh round picks.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_01]: And,
- 22:55[SPEAKER_01]: You know, first the second round picksack in the or at least one of your fourth right ideally all your picks, but it doesn't always read down to such.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_01]: You want them to be premium positions, meaning premium.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, left tackle quarter bet.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying the Broncos needed you have to quarterback, but what are the premium positions?
- 23:13[SPEAKER_01]: Left tackle quarterback rush lineback or edge rusher.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_01]: shut down corner, wide receiver, and depending on the player's act, defensive line can be a premium player, especially if he offers any kind of interior past rush.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_01]: And then sneaking into the conversation a little bit on the premium side of things is running back, but again, you have to be very...
- 23:34[SPEAKER_01]: very specific in that.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_01]: It's not so much that kind of like defensive line that the whole position of running back as premium, but it can be premium if it's say Jeremiah love or Ashton Gentie or even RJ Harvey for that matter last season right in the second round.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_01]: So long winded way of saying, Jettie, that late round.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_01]: I'm looking at tight end.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_01]: I'm looking at.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_01]: linebacker i'm looking at interior offensive line possibly offensive tackle and it would not shock me if they draft a quarterback this year to late.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I really agree with that.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_02]: I will also throw in their jadarian price would qualify as premium, but he's I don't think he's going to fall in the Broncos left.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_02]: Jedi, I hate to take another cop out answer, but it'd be easier if you ask me who I think the Broncos should go after early because who they go after late the answer to that is it's whoever they don't get early.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_02]: So kind of how the board breaks and whatever they target in the first couple rounds the second and the fourth anyway, if they target I don't know tight end and defensive line I would want maybe them to target a receiver and interior offensive line in the later rounds so that's my answer for you is whatever they don't prioritize that want them to come back around but we all know what they need we all know the positions they need and where they need to build around.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_01]: There you have it, Jenny.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, pal.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_01]: Really appreciate you to keep bringing up a good point.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not much of a gamer.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_01]: So this kind of stuff escapes me, but he says VPN also helps those who who are gamers, FYI, just saying thank you for that addition there, my brother.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_01]: I want to grab this from Taylor who says, hey, Zach, maybe the third time's the charm on the whole position change thing with the painling with a democracy's walker and Drew Sanders, et cetera.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_02]: Now, I appreciate the optimism here, and again, maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm being too pessimistic, but you're comparing three different scenarios and three different positions.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_02]: Walker went from a defense event to an outside linebacker, Sanders went from OLD to Insightlinebacker.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_02]: Do I have that backward?
- 25:35[SPEAKER_02]: Whatever.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_02]: And now you have an edgerusher going to Insightlinebacker.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_02]: I just think if you look at them individually, not in a vacuum.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_02]: Who has the highest upside?
- 25:46[SPEAKER_02]: Who's the most proven?
- 25:47[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, Jonah Ellis is.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_02]: He's one of the better adressors in the league to the extent Chad that if you put him in 10 or 12 or 15 other teams in the NFL, he'd be in the starting lineup.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_02]: The Broncos don't know what they have in Jonah Ellis.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_02]: So to take away from that, you mentioned outside linebacker, being one of those four premiums.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_02]: That's been like that for decades in the NFL.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_02]: You know what you didn't mention there?
- 26:09[SPEAKER_02]: Inside linebacker.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_02]: and especially in advanced Joseph system.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_02]: We just saw Vijay, if you didn't follow what he did at Arizona, you just saw him squander, Drake Greenlaw.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_02]: Drake Greenlaw talked about that and admitted that out loud.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't know why you want to take your best eddresher and put him into Vijay's clutches in that sense.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_02]: Again, that doesn't make sense to me.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't get it, I don't get it.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_01]: It's one thing, Zach, when you go, oh, he played offensive tackle, but his arms are too short or he's not good enough in space, so we're gonna play him at guard at the NFL level.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_01]: That's a different conversation, especially on defense when you're asking front seven guys to switch things up, it's problematic and look,
- 26:50[SPEAKER_01]: I think in the secondary, you could swing it more like transition in corners to safety in some safety's can transition to corner, but I digress.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I saw this wrong.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_01]: Falcons unveiled some new jerseys, combinations, whatever today, so good for them.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_01]: Kind of cool.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_02]: You like to see in a look at, go ahead, no, no, I'm starting to cut you off, this is true.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_02]: from Albert and I keep forgetting about Baron Browning to another guy, Broncos tried to transition and have him learn two positions and it bombed on them.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know how many more examples we need for them to just take these players and leave them in their current spots, wherever they're best, wherever they can optimize.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_02]: That's where I want them to play.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_02]: So thank you, Albert for bringing that up.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_02]: I keep forgetting about Browning.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_01]: No doubt, dude.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_01]: I totally, that has slipped my mind.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_01]: And that's an excellent point, dude.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_01]: Great deep cut.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_01]: their Albert absolutely true.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_01]: So over three, so you can't even say third times the charm, Taylor.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_01]: It's like four times the charm.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_01]: That's what they'd be going for.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_01]: So to speak.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, Kirsten.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_01]: It's good to see you.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_01]: She's an urgent everybody to like and subscribe.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_01]: They'll comment.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_01]: It all helps that it does and we're
- 27:59[SPEAKER_01]: Look, this time of year we're not exactly expecting the channel to explode with new subscribers because the vast majority of the kind of average Bronco fan is not really paying attention this time of year.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_01]: They're folks like my dad's a great example.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_01]: God bless all the old man.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_01]: But you know, he's kind of like wake me up when the season's over.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, cool.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_01]: I'll pay attention a little bit free agency week.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_01]: I'll pay attention on draft day.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_01]: Then it's wake me up.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_01]: when September rolls around.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_01]: Meanwhile, we're trying, Kirsten, to get to 40,000 subscribers on YouTube, and we're getting there.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_01]: We're at 38.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_01]: 300 and like 14 again.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_01]: I know these things because I look at it right before I create the stream each night so I can list it in the description.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_01]: So if you're watching these shows every night and you're not subbed take that extra step would help us out a lot.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate you, Kirsten.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_01]: Roy Osborn dear members says these position changes happened before didn't work.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_01]: Why would it work out now?
- 28:57[SPEAKER_01]: Well, one of the reasons.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_01]: we can just go off of what the Broncos said.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_01]: Two things.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_01]: One, he's, what a, what a Benito say.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_01]: Nick Benito said that Jonah Ellis is the most versatile player in the NFL.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_01]: Now, that's a little hyperbolic Zach, the most versatile, but he's saying it.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_01]: and the Broncos Zach really want to get him on the field more, but he's buried behind two really good guys at the top of the depth.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we can split hairs over Jonathan Cooper, especially the second half of the last season, but again, digressing a little bit here.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_01]: And then there's the bloodline thing where he's got two brothers who have excelled at the inside of my background position, and he does have a little bit of experience early on at Utah.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_01]: So this is not
- 29:45[SPEAKER_01]: steel man the Broncos argument here.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_02]: It's just so crazy because like his brother, who you just mentioned, Kate and Ellis, he was a free agent last month.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_02]: The Broncos had a chance to sign him, Chad, did they?
- 29:59[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_02]: I just if you want a pure inside linebacker with Ellis's last name or not, go get a pure inside linebacker.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_02]: The only thing that gives me a little hope with this,
- 30:14[SPEAKER_02]: The way they frame this was it's not going to be a permanent change.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_02]: He's not permanently converted.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_02]: At least I hope not, Chad, from outside to inside.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_02]: It's just like he's going to kind of play some snaps at inside.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_02]: If that's the case, fine, although I still prefer him to be 100% an outside linebacker.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_01]: Shout out to Sean, I can bomb on Facebook, who says the Broncos, by the way, Sean, you got to come follow and subscribe on YouTube, dude, because we're not much longer for Facebook, FYI.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_01]: But he says the Broncos actually signed Bobby Wagner.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_01]: Now, when we were doing like the, all right, let's preview free agency, who's out there?
- 30:49[SPEAKER_01]: And like I was writing one million articles about the
- 30:55[SPEAKER_01]: you think oh man he's he's older than dirt and he is I mean Bobby Wagner is uh
- 31:02[SPEAKER_01]: getting up there in age, but he still apparently Zach plans on continuing to play, he's 35 is going to be 36 this season and so is Cameron Jordan by the way, the former Saints defense alignment, but Zach get this, this might surprise you, I think people kind of lost sight, lost track of how prolific Bobby Wagner is after he left Seattle, the last two seasons, so his age 35 and age 34 seasons, both of which were in Washington, Zach.
- 31:32[SPEAKER_01]: 2024, 132 tackles, two sacks, two force fumbles or two fumble recoveries of force fumble.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_01]: And then this last season, by the way, all 17 games started.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_01]: This past season again, all 17 games, two interceptions.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_01]: Let's see.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_01]: For past breakups, four and a half sacks,
- 31:52[SPEAKER_01]: and 162 tackles.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_01]: So he would, he's oddly enough for the right situation.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_01]: He would make a ton of sense for an NFL team, but he's a guy that if you sign him, he's starting day one.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_01]: Broncos obviously weren't thinking that way.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_01]: They wanted to keep singleton in sternum.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't want a guy who's a compiler listen like who said it's she's a future Hall of Famer he's one of the better linebackers.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_02]: I've ever seen play he should be first ballot yada yada.
- 32:21[SPEAKER_02]: I just don't want another Alex Singleton because basically at this stage of his career that's what Bobby Wagner is.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not impressed by him getting tackles five yards past the line of scrimmage.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_02]: They brought back two veterans in a sense, Sean, with Alex and Justin Sternard.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_02]: Why would you want a third veteran here?
- 32:37[SPEAKER_02]: You need some ceiling.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_02]: You need some upsides, some asymmetric upside in that room.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_02]: That's why I'm suggesting, and I can stomach Sternard in Singleton.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_02]: That's a lot of S is a lot of a little relation there.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_02]: I could stomach that shed if they devote a high round draft pick.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_02]: The second round pick, for example,
- 32:53[SPEAKER_02]: to upgrading the ceiling of that room.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_02]: If not, then it's, they took a major step back.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so there you have it.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_01]: There are some other interesting linebackers.
- 33:04[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, let me see here.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_01]: Available last I looked I'm going to pull it up again right now just just in the interest here's Zach of being comprehensive.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_01]: One of the most interesting guys is Bobby Okareke who is a street free agent meaning Broncos could sign him it wouldn't count right now, wouldn't count towards the comp pick formula.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_01]: He was a guy that was making pretty good bank with the giants on a second contract Zach then they cut him at the end of this last season so he's out there and he's only 30 only
- 33:38[SPEAKER_01]: most of them are well over 30 for what it's worth.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_01]: But besides Ocarike and Wagner, Zach, I mean, it's Levanta David retired.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_01]: Logan Wilson says he doesn't want to, he's not playing any more Kenneth Murray.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_01]: No, thank you.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, Matt Milano, you don't need him.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_01]: He's not a guy that can step in.
- 33:55[SPEAKER_01]: There's really no one else out there available, Zach, that is interesting.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_01]: And so in both the case of
- 34:04[SPEAKER_01]: You're only spending money on those kind of guys if you're planning on starting them.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_02]: Chad, you know who I still think about, you know, professionally speaking, Alexander Johnson, the dinosaur.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_02]: Remember him?
- 34:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_02]: Oh yeah.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_02]: He had that little magical run because he came out of nowhere.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_02]: He was a young up and coming linebacker who we thought the Broncos could develop in their system and he would be here three, five years.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_02]: That didn't work out too well.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_02]: But at least we have the hope and it feels like since that point we haven't had the hope because they keep sticking these veterans these other teams rejects these injury prone veterans into the middle of your lineup and I agree wholeheartedly I had been banging this drum for basically 10 years for basically my entire podcast and career how on how I've been covering the Broncos.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_02]: Please devote a high round capital to that position and draft develop your own your next Fred Warner the next straight green law.
- 34:59[SPEAKER_02]: Don't just settle for a has been that's what the Brock has been doing band aids.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so the fair point.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_01]: He's now out of the league by the way AJ Johnson.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_01]: So I still think of him as AJ Johnson because I remember all that crap that happened to him
- 35:13[SPEAKER_01]: when he was supposed to go into the NFL draft and he had that false accusations that he beat in court.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, God bless AJ Johnson.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_01]: He's out of the league now last last season.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_01]: He was in the league was 2023 on a practice squad.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_01]: Lady D checking in again, we love you.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_01]: We appreciate you so much,
- 35:36[SPEAKER_01]: 100% agree with you on this Zach please hit the like button share and subscribe.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_01]: This is the greatest podcast.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_01]: He's still hoping for in joku probably won't happen, but in my opinion, it needs to Amen, sister on in joku.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_01]: I don't quite understand the only thing that could make sense to me is he's asking for an arm and a leg in terms of
- 35:59[SPEAKER_01]: his contract, but like, dude, you're 29, you're going to turn 30 this year.
- 36:04[SPEAKER_01]: You've played a lot of football.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he's been in the league's accents 2017.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_01]: He's a young or other way around.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_01]: He's an old 29, almost 30.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, you've made a lot of money already.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_01]: Do you want to win?
- 36:17[SPEAKER_01]: Do you want to win?
- 36:18[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to have to make some concessions and you'll find a home pretty quick.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think it'll be the Broncos, like I've given up Lady D on the on
- 36:26[SPEAKER_01]: The idea that the Broncos view the tight end position in any way shape or form close to the way we do kind of at least in this community and Sean Peyton said it several times on Tuesday like the angst I don't care what was it that people hated he understands that people will hate the.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_01]: JK Dobbins deal, dotted at a, I don't care.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, they're gonna do what they think is best.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_01]: We can't quite understand their approach, that to this tight end thing, but I guess the last thing I'll say on this before I serve a back is, they did just spend a crap ton of money on Evan Ingraham last year, and they obviously plan on trying to get their money's worth out of him in year two.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, I don't know what else it could be as well.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_02]: The other thing, maybe is there's medicals that we don't know or not privy to, but other teams know about, although I thought he was healthy to end the season, or other teams are employing the same approach as the Broncos and waiting until after the draft for the convict formula to shake out.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, I thought he'd be signed almost day one, the fact that he's still out there is crazy, but what's not crazy is how much I appreciate your support, how much we appreciate your support.
- 37:31[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you so much, Diana.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_01]: Love you, lady D. Means the world to us.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_01]: You know this.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_01]: Whoa.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_01]: We got Chris chances.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_01]: Chris.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's up.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_00]: Good.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_01]: Top rope top rope superman.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, Chris.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_01]: My big dog says, hi, guys.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry for not being on for a while.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_01]: A little sopranos for you, Zach.
- 37:51[SPEAKER_01]: And a true story.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_01]: I recently caught some poison ivy.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_01]: I could see it in my head right now.
- 37:59[SPEAKER_01]: And I felt like Paulie.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_01]: Do you both think we'll see a bonus in jail and water connection?
- 38:07[SPEAKER_01]: By the way, that is the best episode of the sopranos that episode.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_01]: What is it the prime barrens that episode?
- 38:14[SPEAKER_01]: That's that's hands down the best soprano episode.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_01]: But he's talking to you here, Zach.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_01]: Do you think we'll see a bonus in what is it?
- 38:23[SPEAKER_01]: Do you both think we will see a bonus in jail and water connection?
- 38:27[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, show.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think that's the pine barons episode.
- 38:31[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to come off like a little bit of a nerd here.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's no, no, no, you're right.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_02]: It's when they're going after Mikey season one.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_01]: You're right.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_01]: That's right.
- 38:41[SPEAKER_01]: That's right.
- 38:41[SPEAKER_01]: That's right.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_02]: It's called good catch dude.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, Chris and listen, rest in peace.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_02]: God bless Tony Cerrico who played Paulie.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of the cast, like literally like on the past has passed away and it's the best show of all time.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_02]: So thank you, Chris for bringing that up.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_02]: Always brings a smile to my face.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_02]: What'd you say here?
- 39:01[SPEAKER_02]: Do you both think we will see a bonus in jail of our absolutely?
- 39:05[SPEAKER_02]: That's why they brought them in.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_02]: That's why you give up the capital you gave up.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_02]: That's why you pay him what you're going to pay him in the future and you're going to see the results.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_02]: That's why the only made really one, if we want to be honest with ourselves, one outside move and that one outside move was a blockbuster trade for Bonix's new shiny toy at wide receiver.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to see a 1200 yard 8 touchdown guy I think at floor if everything works out.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_01]: By the way, since we're nerdin' out a little bit here, Tony Cerrico, God bless, God rest his soul.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_01]: His, he was in good fellows.
- 39:40[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of people don't realize he's in good fellows because he's younger and he doesn't have the white wings, you know, from God's life.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_01]: So famous with poly, but the one scenes that, well, he's in a few scenes, but the one that is the best one is when Henry's folks find some,
- 39:57[SPEAKER_01]: letters from them in the mail from the school that he's been skipping school to go be a gangster.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_01]: And so then they kidnapped the mailman the gangsters and they threatened him right and they stuff his head in a pizza oven and say if you ever deliver another piece of mail to this this kid's house blah blah blah and Paulie well I say Paulie but Tony Sarico's a scumbag and stuff his head and I just love it dude.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_01]: I love the gangster movies for whatever reason.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_01]: I appreciate it.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_01]: I can't get her to give to, you know, what's about it.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_01]: So good fellas for me is my favorite movie of gangsters.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_01]: But obviously, soprano Zach is legendary.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's hard to get them into it.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_02]: They don't understand Chad.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's more of a of a male thing.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_02]: So I, good fellas, greater than Godfather.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, he's here.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of people love Godfather.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_02]: I think good fellas is a classic.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_02]: I can watch that anytime of the day.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_02]: There's so many sopranos characters that are in that.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_02]: There's so many actors in that that have gone on said huge roles.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_02]: It's just when you look back on it.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_02]: It still kind of holds up to a little bit.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_02]: It's just tremendous movie.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for inspiring this conversation, Chris.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, even Big P, I'm not going to say his name, the actor, the Vincent, what's his name, Zach?
- 41:11[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, then the place Big P, you know, he's in good fellas too.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's a real bit role where they're moving the shirts through the, you know, when the restaurants about to get torched and all that and they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they
- 41:27[SPEAKER_01]: running up the bill on the buy and bunch of stuff.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, it doesn't matter.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_01]: So ordinary now, sopranos, good reference, Chris.
- 41:34[SPEAKER_01]: Great to have you back, buddy.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you very much for the very generous, super chat, big God.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_01]: Much love and respect.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_01]: We got two song Phil checking in too on Facebook, saying good evening, Chad Zach and Deacon Scott.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_01]: If at pic 62, you have a running back, a linebacker, a tight end, and a D line that you like.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_01]: what position do you draft?
- 41:58[SPEAKER_01]: That's an interesting question, dude.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_01]: That's very the way you kind of structure that question relative to the positions.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_01]: I guess it would depend on which running back.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_01]: I hate to give you that stupid little caveats, but I'm probably, I don't think there'd be a tight end there that I would like, because I think at 62 Eli Stowers will be gone and everybody else that's too early in my opinion,
- 42:25[SPEAKER_01]: uh... the organ kids that can get to be he's going to be gone to so running back if washing tins there and rob regas at lineback or the Texas tech kids that that let's get specific let's say it's you got the pick of this letter you got washing tins jacobrod regas linebacker so washing tins the Arkansas running back
- 42:45[SPEAKER_01]: Rodriguez, Texas Tech, linebacker, and let's say, who's a D-lineman that can be there?
- 42:50[SPEAKER_01]: Let's say, what's the Texas Tech big kid?
- 42:57[SPEAKER_01]: Scott, that was at the senior bull, Lee Hunter, Lee Hunter.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_01]: Is he Texas Tech, I think he's Texas Tech?
- 43:02[SPEAKER_01]: Either way, Lee Hunter, Zach, of those three who you're taking.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_02]: Well, first of all, Phil, this is what I said a jetty earlier.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_02]: It's a lot easier if you ask me who they should take in the first couple rounds than I can answer on the back half of the draft.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_02]: But it basically boils down to what Chad said there.
- 43:18[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's the premium for how they should approach roster building this offseason.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_02]: They didn't do anything at running back, save for bringing back JK Dobbins.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_02]: We can't rely on him, unfortunately, but I'll be consistent with what I said earlier.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_02]: I'm so tired of the Broncos not having that young stud inside linebacker in the farm system so you take over for one of these lower ceiling veterans.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_02]: So if J Rods on the board, even if Washington is there, Chad, I think I'm going Rodriguez inside linebacker.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_01]: Just so you have a comprehensive and answer fill as you could possibly get Scott's opinion is if you like them all equally, you get the most valuable position of that
- 44:01[SPEAKER_01]: uh yeah dude funny funny how funny like a clown like I'm here to amuse you yeah very good stuff Joe Peshie you know Zach you said something about the godfather that I agree I think in many ways it is overrated in the pantheon of gangster movies however what makes it what keeps it on its pedestal in my opinion is
- 44:24[SPEAKER_01]: the performance of Marlon Brando as the godfather.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_01]: And then finally, it starts getting a little bit interesting the last half of the movie with Al Pacino's kind of development.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_01]: But otherwise, you know, for modern viewing audiences, it's a little bit of a snooze fest.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_01]: But if you're really into character acting, what Brando did,
- 44:44[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, just watching his monologue at the beginning of the show and the guy comes in, asked me to do murder on my, on my daughter's wedding day.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_01]: You know, that whole scene, he's stroking the cat.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's as good as it gets, but the movie does that kind of, you know, it's a product of its time.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_01]: So from a pacing perspective and editing and all that, you just kind of got to let it wash over you.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_01]: It is a little overrated.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_01]: I will agree.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_01]: But I do like the godfather.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, it's a little long, but I'm not saying it's like a bad movie by any means.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_02]: And that's a classic as well.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_02]: I just happen to prefer good fellas though.
- 45:15[SPEAKER_02]: I will say Godfather 2 is better than Godfather 1 and 3.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_02]: That's my opinion.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_01]: How about this?
- 45:20[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to throw an at you.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_01]: Carlito's way.
- 45:22[SPEAKER_01]: Have you watched Carlito's way with Pacino?
- 45:25[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think, I've heard that's an excellent movie.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think I've seen that though.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_01]: highly recommended.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_01]: What about Scarface?
- 45:31[SPEAKER_01]: It's a different kind of gangster movie, but more of a cartel movie.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_02]: It's it's almost like a meme.
- 45:36[SPEAKER_02]: It's like Rudy.
- 45:37[SPEAKER_02]: It's everyone has seen it and it's so talked about Chad.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_02]: It's almost like overrated on that aspect along good movie, but it's like overrated on on that basis alone.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_01]: What about casino, which is kind of, you know, the excellent movie.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, excellent.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_01]: Excellent.
- 45:52[SPEAKER_01]: Excellent.
- 45:52[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 45:52[SPEAKER_01]: How about my cousin Vinnie?
- 45:59[SPEAKER_02]: It's good.
- 45:59[SPEAKER_02]: I also like this is going to sound weird analyze that not analyze this, but analyze that the second one.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 46:05[SPEAKER_02]: It's a stupid comedy, but I back when D'Niro was actually funny and Billy Christophe no matter what's it.
- 46:14[SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah, I was just thinking of something.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_01]: Joe Pesci, what the, is this piece of, you know, the meme.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, that's not for my cousin Vinnie, but it made me think of it.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's storm less, it's hilarious.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_01]: It's funny.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_01]: I watched it.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_01]: My cousin Vinnie probably two weeks ago, you know, the wife falls asleep and I'm thumbing through and I, oh, my cousin Vinnie.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_01]: Funny like the Raiders.
- 46:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, clowns.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_01]: I'm here to amuse you.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_01]: All right, back to some serious stuff.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_01]: He says I wanted to ask this totally forgot till now.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_01]: What do you all think of this year's draft cap?
- 46:54[SPEAKER_01]: Personally, I think it's simply boring.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_01]: Is that if you've seen it?
- 46:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's boring until you turn it over and you look inside the the cap inside the lid or whatever it has the personalized design.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_02]: I thought that's a nice touch, but it's very generic looking.
- 47:09[SPEAKER_02]: It reminds me one storm of what they released a couple years ago.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_02]: It's like the Madden video games.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like they're just putting the same thing out and making a minor alteration and saying, Done.
- 47:19[SPEAKER_02]: I don't really care for him.
- 47:20[SPEAKER_01]: Is this it here?
- 47:21[SPEAKER_02]: Is this it?
- 47:26[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_02]: You'd have to go on Twitter and look for it because it shows the underneath part.
- 47:29[SPEAKER_02]: It's the only part that's worth showing.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think that's it.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it is.
- 47:34[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 47:34[SPEAKER_01]: It is.
- 47:35[SPEAKER_01]: It's got this little thing.
- 47:36[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, that's it.
- 47:38[SPEAKER_01]: Interesting.
- 47:38[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's okay.
- 47:42[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, thank you, honey.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_01]: I appreciate that, honey.
- 47:46[SPEAKER_02]: It looks like any other generic hat doesn't it, Sean?
- 47:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, pretty much.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_01]: pretty much all right where we at time wise 48 minutes we got a little bit of time left after we've nerded out a little bit on uh on gangster movies uh thank you by again Chris forget sending us down that alice as I can't say crushman does it in a super chat I don't know why you couldn't um you just okay you just type crushman does it maybe I don't know
- 48:20[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I don't know, life, that's weird.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_01]: That's weird.
- 48:25[SPEAKER_01]: Logan says on Facebook, I just want to see my boy Jonah tearing up either the middle or the edge.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_01]: He just wants to see him on the field.
- 48:32[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's kind of how the Broncos feel.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I guess, but we know what he can do.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_02]: He can tear it up off the edge.
- 48:40[SPEAKER_02]: We don't know that he has that same potential at inside linebacker.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_02]: Again, we'll see how it works out.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_01]: Sean wants to know on Facebook.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_01]: Do you want the Broncos to be featured on hard knocks that no one Sean Peyton would never go for that either.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think he wants his whole cover to be blown as a operation to be exposed.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_02]: He hates heats with a passion Sean the media.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_02]: He's not going to invite a whole camera crew to come document this season.
- 49:05[SPEAKER_02]: I think they picked the teams anyway.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_02]: So
- 49:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I hope it never happens by the way.
- 49:11[SPEAKER_01]: Jackson didn't Jonah Ellis play inside in college a little bit a little bit, especially early in his career as a you so yeah, he has a little bit of experience, but nothing to really write home about like his brothers for what it's worth.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_01]: All right, Zach, let's do this.
- 49:27[SPEAKER_01]: We'll go through our well, hold on, hold on, let me grab this from William says oddly enough, I wonder if a lot of the guys feel like green law.
- 49:34[SPEAKER_01]: Relative to the offense because Sean Peyton has so many substitutions.
- 49:38[SPEAKER_01]: It's harder to get into a groove.
- 49:40[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_01]: I wish Greenlaw well though.
- 49:42[SPEAKER_01]: It's an interesting thought because, you know, like specifically that guys like maybe Tyler, but day to little McLaughlin.
- 49:52[SPEAKER_01]: Who else, Pat Bryant.
- 49:54[SPEAKER_01]: Marvin Mims probably has a beef if you if he took some truth serum you probably get a little bit of things you don't want to hear if you're Sean Peyton out of Marvin Mims but what do you think?
- 50:05[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, William, that it's an interesting thought.
- 50:08[SPEAKER_02]: The only one that I can really recall, because we can prove it with Drake Greenlaw.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_02]: We can't prove it with anybody else on offense, maybe with the exception of Bonyx.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_02]: That's the only example I can give you where Sean Payton's offense, either the play call or a substitution or whatever, has directly negatively affected the offense.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, I hope it doesn't work out, and I hope Davis Webb being the OC now will make things more simplified.
- 50:31[SPEAKER_02]: I do agree though, I wish Greenlaw, well, he's an easy player to root for.
- 50:35[SPEAKER_01]: No doubt.
- 50:36[SPEAKER_01]: All right, William, thank you, buddy.
- 50:38[SPEAKER_01]: And we got a couple messages for you while Zach's going through this very important information.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna be checking the chat for anything we might have missed.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_01]: We'll get a few things before we dip.

- 52:29[SPEAKER_01]: The Texas Techline Bakker, if he is available, the Godfather II had the best cinematography in a movie ever during the baptism scene.
- 52:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, good fellows is awesome too.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_01]: I thought Greenloss comments about the training were interesting.
- 52:47[SPEAKER_01]: Now real quick, Zach, what is she talking about specifically the training?
- 52:51[SPEAKER_02]: I think he just means coming back.
- 52:53[SPEAKER_02]: I think she means when him eluding to coming back from the injury, it's because he suffered the injury while training.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe that's what she's talking about.
- 53:02[SPEAKER_02]: But Shannon, I tend to check, check, check, check.
- 53:05[SPEAKER_02]: I agree with every point that you're making there.
- 53:07[SPEAKER_02]: I'm genuinely, I do.
- 53:08[SPEAKER_02]: And the number one thing I want to get across is thank you so much for your generosity and dropping that right before we get off here.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_02]: It helps us out more than you know, like Chad's talking about.
- 53:18[SPEAKER_02]: It keeps the lights on.
- 53:19[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
- 53:19[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
- 53:20[SPEAKER_01]: Godfather 2, you get De Niro and Al Pacino in the same movie.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_01]: They don't share a screen time, right?
- 53:29[SPEAKER_01]: Because it's a flashbacks going back and forth from young veto to modern day Michael and all that stuff.
- 53:34[SPEAKER_01]: But it was crazy, Zach.
- 53:36[SPEAKER_01]: They didn't do a movie together.
- 53:37[SPEAKER_01]: They were the two most known like gangster movie epic guys, right?
- 53:41[SPEAKER_01]: All time.
- 53:42[SPEAKER_01]: And then they did, what was that movie, righteous kill?
- 53:49[SPEAKER_01]: they finally did a movie together where they were on screen together.
- 53:53[SPEAKER_01]: And that was the first time it turned out to be a not good movie.
- 53:56[SPEAKER_01]: It was a big disappointment.
- 53:58[SPEAKER_01]: It did pretty well in the box office relative for, you know, how much it cost because everyone was so excited to see them.
- 54:06[SPEAKER_01]: This was like 19.
- 54:08[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, no, this was a wait.
- 54:10[SPEAKER_01]: This was a wait.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_01]: Wow, I was thinking it was in the 90s, but nevertheless, then Zach, they get on the screen together for the Irishman, which was excellent movie that movie, you want to, I mean, that's like four hour long movie almost, Zach, I scored that one was great the only thing I didn't like about it, I'll tell, I'll be honest with you.
- 54:29[SPEAKER_01]: There's one thing I didn't like.
- 54:37[SPEAKER_01]: what it's an extremely old man and you're doing it for like vast stretches of the movie.
- 54:42[SPEAKER_01]: You can kind of make their face look young what you cannot replicate is that old men Zach move a certain way and they're very strict.
- 54:52[SPEAKER_01]: robotic.
- 54:53[SPEAKER_01]: So, for example, I know not everybody cares, but the scene in the Irishman where he finds out that the guy down on the corner store said something mean to his daughter, whatever, he takes his daughter down on the corner store, beats the crap out of the guy, and he's supposed to be dinner at the time in the story, a young man, like a young father, like a 30s, something, you know, father, and the way he moves, he's not beaten up anybody, and yet he beats
- 55:21[SPEAKER_01]: Zach, it kept taking me out.
- 55:23[SPEAKER_01]: What do they call it?
- 55:23[SPEAKER_01]: The, not the fourth wall is at the uncanny valley where you can just, it, it constantly reminds you, oh, you're watching a movie.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_01]: Instead of being able to really
- 55:33[SPEAKER_01]: uh, escape and engage.
- 55:35[SPEAKER_01]: That was my only beef.
- 55:37[SPEAKER_01]: Otherwise, man, I'll sit and watch Pachino and Pashi and the Neuro for four hours all day long.
- 55:42[SPEAKER_02]: It removes the feeling of like immersion in the in the movie that the the the it's suspending disbelief is how to look in for something like that.
- 55:50[SPEAKER_02]: I agree with what you're saying there.
- 55:52[SPEAKER_02]: It's tough to see it or unsee it after you've seen it.
- 55:55[SPEAKER_02]: Another good one that we haven't talked about while we're on the subject and kind of the same is the departed.
- 55:59[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if you've
- 56:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that that movie it's Irish mob, but it's still just another score says he just every one just nailed in that movie hit dude.
- 56:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's a that one's got a lot of great one liners and the cast is awesome.
- 56:18[SPEAKER_01]: You know Leo is the new.
- 56:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's true.
- 56:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I was a sailor's pay.
- 56:23[SPEAKER_01]: I lost my leg climbing the top rope.
- 56:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, some what is that drop kick Murphy's anyway Shannon love you appreciate you so much again guys okay couple quick ones real quick
- 56:38[SPEAKER_01]: Anthony says the Raiders head coach Clint Kubiax said he doesn't want to start a rookie right away wants him to learn under a vet.
- 56:45[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 56:46[SPEAKER_01]: Sounds like you learned nothing from your old man Gary Kubiax who subverted the Broncos plan.
- 56:52[SPEAKER_01]: John always planned to just rip the bandaid off.
- 56:54[SPEAKER_01]: Get passing lunch on the field because you drafted him in the first round.
- 56:58[SPEAKER_01]: John L. way before he was a front office guy said as just I'm Hall of Fame quarterback John L. way.
- 57:04[SPEAKER_01]: If you drafted quarterback
- 57:06[SPEAKER_01]: The best way to develop a quarterback is to play him.
- 57:09[SPEAKER_01]: That's going to get him through the learning curve.
- 57:10[SPEAKER_01]: The very fastest, if it's meant to be, just play him.
- 57:14[SPEAKER_01]: Gary Kubiak, obviously, did not agree with that perspective.
- 57:18[SPEAKER_01]: And even John L. way publicly changed his tune.
- 57:21[SPEAKER_01]: Although he tried to force Gary Kubiak to play Pax and Lynch.
- 57:25[SPEAKER_01]: They're in creating the rift that kind of help lead to Gary Kubi stepping down, but I digress if this is true, man, they're missing the forest for the trees.
- 57:34[SPEAKER_01]: If you're drafting windows of all the guys, just play him.
- 57:39[SPEAKER_02]: I know he was like a ill at the time, but it's crazy they spun that as a health issue was the reason he stepped away and not a major problem between general manager and head coach, but that's a whole other story.
- 57:50[SPEAKER_02]: Listen, like Chad nailed perfectly there.
- 57:52[SPEAKER_02]: There's two schools that thought when it comes to a rookie quarterback, you play him right away and that's what I believe in.
- 57:57[SPEAKER_02]: Throw him in the deep end.
- 57:58[SPEAKER_02]: He's either going to sink or he's going to swim.
- 58:00[SPEAKER_02]: You have to find out right away.
- 58:01[SPEAKER_02]: or you let them learn.
- 58:03[SPEAKER_02]: So it's either the bow nicks approach or the chief approach with the Patrick Mahomes.
- 58:07[SPEAKER_02]: But I would venture a guest chat that Nendosa is not Patrick Mahomes.
- 58:11[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see how it works out for.
- 58:13[SPEAKER_01]: By the way, Scott says, I cannot suspend my disbelief.
- 58:17[SPEAKER_01]: Look, you know when you're sitting down watching a movie, like that lizard party or brain knows you're watching, make believe, right?
- 58:24[SPEAKER_01]: But like the front party or brain, like I can get lost in it.
- 58:27[SPEAKER_01]: I really can't, I can go down the rabbit hole and unless there are little things like that, you know, and I notice I'm like, oh, that's an old man.
- 58:35[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I cannot say, there we go.
- 58:37[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, he's not saying I cannot suspend my disbelief.
- 58:39[SPEAKER_01]: He's saying the phrase I was looking for when I was was groping there was,
- 58:44[SPEAKER_01]: I cannot suspend my disbelief.
- 58:45[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
- 58:46[SPEAKER_01]: Glenn, I'm going to read you off screen here.
- 58:48[SPEAKER_01]: Well, last one that guys know we got to go.
- 58:50[SPEAKER_01]: Glenn says happy Easter to all that celebrate being good Friday on the surf coast because tomorrow is he's already in tomorrow.
- 58:58[SPEAKER_01]: I think you have to rate our gangster movies by era.
- 59:02[SPEAKER_01]: If you grew up watching Godfather, then sopranos, you have more appreciation.
- 59:08[SPEAKER_01]: 80s and 90s kids represent in regards to my boy fills question.
- 59:13[SPEAKER_01]: I think we have to throw safety into the mix, especially if Ramsey Halsy are on the board.
- 59:20[SPEAKER_01]: Interesting thought.
- 59:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, I'm a child of the 80s.
- 59:24[SPEAKER_01]: I remember actually, my grandpa real quick, he would record HBO.
- 59:29[SPEAKER_01]: This is back when you pay for a subscription through your cable company and you got it on your rabid years, based on cable, nevertheless, he would use a VCR ZAC and he would record programs, but especially, you know, movies that played front to back, info, unedited on HBO.
- 59:47[SPEAKER_01]: And then one time we were up camping, we'd go camping, and he would take this bounder and a big motor home, right?
- 59:53[SPEAKER_01]: And grandma, grandpa, they had the little room in the back.
- 59:56[SPEAKER_01]: And the kids, we'd be watching something, he had recorded for kids on the front of the tape.
- 1:00:00[SPEAKER_01]: They'd of course, zonk out, right?
- 1:00:02[SPEAKER_01]: They'd be like, go to sleep.
- 1:00:04[SPEAKER_01]: And then that movie would get over me being the night owl.
- 1:00:07[SPEAKER_01]: I'm still awake, and then what came on next?
- 1:00:10[SPEAKER_02]: good fellas good fellas and i watch good fellas i was probably seven right years old and i loved it then it was obviously not something you probably want any separate year old to see but now you understand why i'm such a sick weird maniac i will join you uh... right there chat because i was gonna say i was ten when the soprano's debuted and i watch that as a kid and i watched the entirety of the the series including the uh... the season finale or the series finale which i thought was ridiculous
- 1:00:39[SPEAKER_02]: I went back and rewatch that show as an adult so I don't think it matters like when you were born this is my opinion of the show because it's so layer chat and you have to see it through adult eyes.
- 1:00:49[SPEAKER_02]: It's a go back and watch it as an adult.
- 1:00:51[SPEAKER_02]: It is truly transformative and now I think about the ending.
- 1:00:54[SPEAKER_02]: It is brilliant.
- 1:00:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, they I think they did a good job.
- 1:00:59[SPEAKER_01]: That is, I mean, it's hard to tie in a to kind of put a bow on such an epic epic show.
- 1:01:05[SPEAKER_01]: Storm blast, thank you, buddy.
- 1:01:07[SPEAKER_01]: I says great shows always pretty.
