- 0:19small change. And my goal is to bring you somebody
- 0:22fantastic who is going to give you some information to
- 0:26help you to grow your business in a unexpected and
- 0:29delightful way. And this week, we have the amazing
- 0:33Julie Kraski. And no, it's not Kraski, it's.
- 0:37Say it again. Help me. Help me.
- 0:41Kraschinsky. Kraschinsky. I tried.
- 0:45Guys, if you've listened to more than one podcast, you know this is
- 0:48the hard part for me. Yeah, okay. And what she's
- 0:52gonna do, as, as always, is she's gonna share something that
- 0:56happened, a small, unexpected or insignificant decision that.
- 1:00That sparked a remarkable transformation and growth either in her personal
- 1:03or in her business life. But what we know is those are the things
- 1:07that make you the
- 1:11expert and not just an expert.
- 1:15Julie, thank you so much. Thank you for letting me slaughter
- 1:18your name. So tell everybody. It won't be the
- 1:22first time. Tell everybody who you are, what
- 1:26you do, and. And what happened to make you the expert.
- 1:30Oh, thanks. Thanks, Yvonne. I'm so glad we met. I'm so glad
- 1:34to be on your show. And yeah, so I have a long
- 1:37history of entrepreneurship, and it wasn't always that way because I started out
- 1:41in corporate America, did that for many, many years, and then I decided when I
- 1:45started family, I wanted to be a stay at home mom. And so I did
- 1:48that for two years. And then I was having mommy mush brain and I'm like,
- 1:52whoa, I gotta. I feel like I want to do something right. And so I
- 1:55started in direct sales back 33 years
- 1:59ago, 34 years ago, and
- 2:02didn't really know what I was doing. You know, never ran a business before,
- 2:06but going through the trainings and all that, I just fell in
- 2:10love with the leadership and empowering women and that became
- 2:14my passion, even though I retired from that business in
- 2:182021 to fully immersed into
- 2:21coaching women entrepreneurs and how
- 2:25to have a successful business, but not have
- 2:29it run their life and let it fit into their life and not have their
- 2:32life fit into their business. And that's what I've been doing since then.
- 2:36And. And, you know, one of the things that, you know, I think drew us
- 2:40together is we have the same philosophy. And the
- 2:44first part of it is that women are just so amazing and they don't see
- 2:47their value. And I think the other thing is the
- 2:51whole concept of
- 2:55not letting your business run your life, that you, you know, that you need. You
- 2:59get into business so you can have the life that you want, and then
- 3:02you spend all your time in your business and you have no life. Yeah, Right.
- 3:06And so that is like kind of a, A, a basic thing that
- 3:10we both share. So when you're talking with
- 3:14women, what are some of the first things you know that you learned that you
- 3:17share with them? Well, for me, every
- 3:22person's journey is different. So when I get together with a
- 3:26woman, whether I'm doing a gifted coaching session or
- 3:30they're working with me, I come
- 3:34what I'm going to say, like, empty. Like, I'm coming to listen to them.
- 3:37I'm not coming to interject my experiences because I
- 3:41remember going through my divorce and I remember people telling me, like, oh, I
- 3:45didn't do that, or, oh, I walked away with nothing, or, I don't do this,
- 3:48I don't do that. And I'm so lucky that I
- 3:52didn't listen to everybody, that I was listening to my wise counsel.
- 3:55And because everybody, maybe 10 women
- 3:59have gone through a divorce, but every situation is different.
- 4:03Right. So I don't come with an agenda.
- 4:06When I meet with somebody, I honestly ask some
- 4:10questions that help them come up with their own
- 4:13brilliant insights. Because just like you said, you know,
- 4:17we have amazing. Women are amazing. Like I think you said to me
- 4:21when we first talked is, if women ran the world, it would be such
- 4:25a better place. Right.
- 4:29So. So let me ask you this. Yes.
- 4:32Because I have, I have something that I probably will add, but I want to
- 4:36get your perspective first. Okay. And I
- 4:39absolutely agree with you. You know, you and
- 4:42I have a lot more in common than I thought we did. You know, people.
- 4:46People always go, do you want me to send you this about myself? Do it.
- 4:49I'm like, no, I just want to experience you the way that you are and
- 4:53see. Because if you tell me what, what I should expect,
- 4:57then I'm not going to see the things about you that I think are special.
- 5:01I will already have updated. So
- 5:05when you talk to people about how they should take
- 5:08advice or as they're looking at what they
- 5:12want to do, what is like, the one thing that you always say,
- 5:18the one thing I always say is that
- 5:22any idea that I give you is never going to be as good as the
- 5:26idea that you come up with on your own.
- 5:30If you create Enough space and
- 5:33quiet to listen to your inner guidance
- 5:37system, your inner knowing, your gps I call my
- 5:41genius power system. It's always guiding me in the
- 5:44right direction. You know what to do.
- 5:49Many women know what to do. They're afraid to take that
- 5:53step because they want to know the whole entire plan.
- 5:59Now, I don't want to waste my time going this way or that way. How
- 6:02do I know how long to stay that route before I pivot?
- 6:05You know, all those things. So I just help guide them to really
- 6:09tap into their inner knowing and let that
- 6:13be your guide. Like, I have it right up on my board up
- 6:17there. Go with your gut. Well, and you know what?
- 6:20That, again, I think, is. It's so important that I don't think
- 6:24that's something. All right? So I. I
- 6:28tend to look at how patterns come about historically. And
- 6:31so, you know, in school, we're turned. We're taught to follow a certain thing,
- 6:35not to think out of the box. And so that's why everybody wants the answer.
- 6:40How do I get to the answer? And so my question is almost
- 6:43the same as your question. What is your. What is your dead reckoning?
- 6:47Where is it that you want to end up? You know what, when you celebrate
- 6:51your 100th birthday, how do you want people to
- 6:54describe you? Not, she was responsible and she
- 6:58worked 70 hours. What do you want them to say about you and about
- 7:02your energy and how you. How you brought life to the room?
- 7:06And when you do that, it changes everything. Right?
- 7:10And to me, confidence is having enough
- 7:15certainty that you can make a decision. Not that you have the answer or
- 7:19that it's perfect, but that you're okay with whatever the outcome, that
- 7:23you're willing to take responsibility for whatever the outcome is and.
- 7:27Correct. And. And. And what I also want
- 7:30to add is this happens to us regardless where we are in business.
- 7:34I did my workshop once, and somebody said to me, can I talk to
- 7:38you? Do you have a minute? And I was like, sure. And she was like,
- 7:41you know, I just thought I wanted to give you some. Some thoughts. And I
- 7:45was like, okay, great. And she said, you spent too long on that slide. And
- 7:49I go, I know. And I can't seem to, you know, and then
- 7:52she said, and you should do this, and you should do this, and you should
- 7:55do this. And I was like, wait a minute.
- 7:59Let me. Let me ask you. I mean, the things that
- 8:02she said were, like, really good. And I said, what do you do? She
- 8:06said, I'm in entertainment. And I go, that's the problem.
- 8:10I'm not an entertainment. I don't want
- 8:14my workshop to totally just entertain you. I'm not there to be a stand
- 8:17up. I mean, I probably could have been a stand up comedian,
- 8:21but so you have to, you have to know
- 8:26where somebody else is coming from. Yeah. To see
- 8:29if their advice even makes sense for you. And so in order
- 8:33to do that, you have to know where you're going, you know,
- 8:37And I just did a post that I. That one of my things that I
- 8:40say all the time is it doesn't matter how fast you're going. It only
- 8:43matters, you know, it doesn't matter how if you're going, if you're going in the
- 8:47wrong direction. Right, right. Yeah. But the flip side of that
- 8:51is, which I haven't said very much, is if you
- 8:55do small things on a regular basis, it will get you
- 8:59big results. The consistency. And I had to admit
- 9:02in my post today that I have played Solitaire for
- 9:05761 days straight.
- 9:09Do not judge me. I have the same
- 9:13streaks going with some games that I play. It's. We like to
- 9:17gamify things. Well, it's like to win.
- 9:20And I think once you do it and you do it on a regular basis,
- 9:24it's like, well, I don't want to like, I don't want to like lose my
- 9:27streak. Yeah. Right. But imagine what would happen
- 9:31if you called one person every day,
- 9:35not 10 on your list, but just one. Taking a note over here,
- 9:38you know, it's so funny, like you were saying how in tune we are. I
- 9:42just had most of this same conversation last night with my group
- 9:46that I have that I run. Same thing we talked about one
- 9:50step that you can do repeatedly over
- 9:54and over and over again. You know, we stop
- 9:57too soon. Like you stop right before the next.
- 10:01Yes. Because you're giving up. And
- 10:05I think a lot of times as women, we get bored with the
- 10:09task at hand. We get bored with repeating
- 10:12ourselves because we think, oh, the same people are
- 10:16listening to us over and over again. They're going to get sick of me. I
- 10:19have to come up with something new. But you're not talking to the same
- 10:23people all the time. Well, first of all, that's true of all
- 10:26entrepreneurs because we're innovative by nature
- 10:30and so we're curious and so we're like all over the place. And
- 10:35so one of my note, this says, I wrote this
- 10:39down because I. Every woman I talked to last week said I'm all
- 10:42over the place. So here's, here's what
- 10:46I've learned and, and I'd love to have your take on this.
- 10:50Yeah. When I first started doing my workshop, and they're like, do
- 10:53you know, do workshop a month? And I'm like, the same workshop?
- 10:57Yeah. Gotta be kidding me. How boring is that? Right?
- 11:01But what I have learned is, one, even
- 11:05if I were to say the exact same thing, the people that come
- 11:08are different. Even the people that come multiple times are
- 11:12at a different place in their business, and they hear different things.
- 11:16Yeah. And so the energy in the room is different.
- 11:20Two, when you focus on one thing,
- 11:24you get to go deep and not spread yourself thin.
- 11:29So I love it. Yep. Exactly
- 11:32what we were talking about last night. And I asked my clients
- 11:36to actually commit for the next six months that
- 11:40we're together on one focus,
- 11:43just one laser focus, and that is it. And
- 11:47I'm like, there's going to be other things that you're going to accomplish along the
- 11:51way because you're so clear at your direction that you're
- 11:54going. And that's why we come together. I have. It's called the Joyful
- 11:58Momentum Collective. So we do it together. So you're not alone. You
- 12:02don't feel like, oh, my gosh, I'm taking the step. It's scary.
- 12:06Oh, I took the step. Now what? Do it again. So.
- 12:10So you said something really important, that, that
- 12:14if people were not paying attention, and
- 12:17that is, if you're building a business, you do not have to do it alone.
- 12:21And if you're smart, you won't do it alone. And what
- 12:25I mean by that is I
- 12:29started getting into communities very late in building
- 12:32my business, which was a huge mistake.
- 12:36And when you are in community and there are all
- 12:40different kinds of community, it could be a networking community, it could be a
- 12:44masterminding. It could be they're just all kinds of community. One of the
- 12:47first things that it does is it helps you to get clarity a lot faster.
- 12:52Yeah. You know, because you're not in your own head. You're. You're speaking
- 12:55what you. You know, what you're thinking out and getting reaction.
- 12:59So tell me, tell me some of the benefits you. That you think of community
- 13:03and the type of community that you have. Oh, yeah,
- 13:06100%. I'm looking back and
- 13:11I've looked at. I always said I'm a gatherer of
- 13:14people because I have different groups of, like, my
- 13:18girlfriends from grade school and middle school. So 11 of us,
- 13:21you know, 11 of us, and we're going on a. Our big
- 13:25birthday trip in the fall together, all being together for the
- 13:29first time. In a long time. And although we have a group tech, so we're
- 13:32always, you know, seeing what's going on in everybody's life and cheering each other on
- 13:36and being there for them. Then I joined Mary Kay, and
- 13:40that's a huge community where I still have friends.
- 13:43Even though I stepped away from my directorship position, I still have
- 13:47clients and things like that. I don't work with them anymore. They just order. But
- 13:52still, that huge community was so important to me.
- 13:56And now being in my E Woman network community, that's another
- 14:00community of women and a few good men. And now I'm creating
- 14:03my own community around my coaching. So
- 14:07it's not networking, but they, you know, they're getting to know each other and stuff
- 14:10like that. It's not focusing on networking. So
- 14:14community. And I talked about this last night, how important
- 14:18it was for each one of them to create their own community. And.
- 14:22And you. You have different kinds of communities. Yeah. Like, one
- 14:26of the things that I think is so amazing about you is you have your
- 14:28personal community, right? Yes. And I'm talking about a community
- 14:32other than your family. Right. Okay. Yeah. Your
- 14:36family is family. You don't get to pick them. You
- 14:40know, you get to love them, but you don't get to pick them. I mean,
- 14:44my mother used to call me up and go, you know, Tessa, I go, mom,
- 14:47I'm working, but you're home. And I'm like,
- 14:51but I'm still. I work from home. I work from home, mom. You know,
- 14:55and, like, you know, and it was fun, you know, your family,
- 15:01your family remembers everything that you've done wrong since
- 15:04you were a child. When I was in my 60s,
- 15:08my father was still telling the story about how he took me camping and I
- 15:12was cooking the corn, and he kept saying, is it done
- 15:16yet? Is it done yet? And I said, no. And he finally said, yvonne, it's
- 15:19got to be done. And I'm like, it's not yellow yet. And it was white
- 15:22corn. I didn't know white corn, but, I mean, I'm like a full. Yeah,
- 15:26right. They remember everything. Yeah. So
- 15:30your community has got, you know, and as you go around the different groups, you're
- 15:34going to find. I like this group. This group has much more of the philosophy
- 15:38that I have. Right. This group is a good group to do this with,
- 15:41but the thing that it will do for you, it will
- 15:45increase your learning curve. You will go find more ideas
- 15:49and stuff than you could ever do by yourself. And it's exactly
- 15:53from being in a community event that I found
- 15:57My. My tagline or whatever, you know, you don't
- 16:01need to be fixed. You just need to be found. Because they. Somebody was.
- 16:04A whole bunch of people was trying to help a woman do something.
- 16:08And I got really frustrated and I went, do you have clients?
- 16:12She goes, yes. I said, do they love you? She said,
- 16:16yes. I said, do they get great results? She said, yes. I
- 16:20said, then you don't have a delivery issue.
- 16:24You know, once you have them, you're gold, Right? So you
- 16:27don't need. Everybody's trying to fix you. You don't need to be fixed. You just
- 16:31need to be found. And everybody in the room went.
- 16:35And I was like. I was like, that's it. I mean, you know, you can't
- 16:39get that kind of reaction by yourself. So. So the
- 16:42other thing is, I think that you talked about
- 16:46is being
- 16:50in community helps you to see.
- 16:55All right, so when you're in community, there's always going
- 16:59to be somebody who's ahead of you, and there's always going to be somebody who
- 17:03isn't as far as you are. And so that is always, I think, a
- 17:07surprising thing that you mean, that you say to yourself, oh, my God,
- 17:11I know this, and they don't know this. Even people. Sometimes you say things
- 17:14to people who are well established and they go, you
- 17:18know, you think to yourself, why don't they know this? Right,
- 17:22yeah. So community is a wonderful, wonderful.
- 17:26It's a reflection and it's a way to see yourself
- 17:29as you are growing and see that everybody is growing.
- 17:33So for sure, yeah. So
- 17:37let's talk about this. We talked about women,
- 17:44and our experiences, I think,
- 17:47are one of the reasons that, you know, we have seen women struggle
- 17:51and seen women, you know, whatever. What is
- 17:55the one thing, you know, I take a look at patterns, and
- 17:59so what is like one pattern or one
- 18:03limiting belief? That is a biggie.
- 18:07Oh, boy. I think the biggest
- 18:11repeated pattern that I
- 18:15see in women and used to be in myself,
- 18:19too, and even in different instances, it still shows up, is
- 18:24like, who do I think I am
- 18:31basically? You know, it's not like, why me?
- 18:36And then when they. It's comparison, really, comparing yourself to other people. And
- 18:40I really kind of help people. And I always tell my
- 18:44clients, too, when I'm speaking, I'm speaking to myself,
- 18:48either my past self or my present self that still needs to hear it over
- 18:51and over again to have it land. And
- 18:57what I've really learned, and you had asked
- 19:01one when we talked earlier, too, is like. Was like a small thing
- 19:05that you've Done to make a change. You know, instead of a really big thing,
- 19:09it's more of showing up every day instead of like, what do I need to
- 19:12do today? And shifted to
- 19:17who do I need to become today? Right. And
- 19:21shift your identity of how you see yourself, because that's how other people
- 19:24see you. And then there's other times where people see something in you and you're
- 19:28like, oh, really? Like, I don't see that in me because
- 19:31it's your natural innate ability that was given to you,
- 19:36so you don't see it. Well, it's interesting because
- 19:40in the workshop I do this thing called the three word exercise, which I was
- 19:43talking about. How do, how do I want people to describe me when I'm 100?
- 19:47And that's how. That's how I lost almost 200 pounds.
- 19:51Is that because
- 19:55at one time I weighed 440 pounds? No way.
- 19:59And, and you know, one day it said, I don't want to be like this.
- 20:03Yeah. What's missing from my life? And the first thing that came up
- 20:07was energy. I have absolutely no energy. I mean, everything,
- 20:11everything was like, you know, you go downstairs once a day
- 20:15and you come upstairs once a day. Do you know I mean it? You know?
- 20:19And I was like, I want to be energetic. And then I asked a friend
- 20:22of mine that knew me in college, and I said, if you had to describe
- 20:25me, because I was thinking that's when I felt like I was the most energetic.
- 20:30And I said to her, when I. When you knew me, then what would have
- 20:33been the one word you used to describe me? And she said,
- 20:37adventuresome. And I went, I mean, it was like somebody hit me in the head
- 20:40with a brick. I was like, oh, my God, there is
- 20:44not that person anymore. There's no spontaneity. There's
- 20:48no adventure in my life. Right? And
- 20:52then I said the same thing to my husband who knew me then. And he
- 20:54said, you were the most intriguing woman I'd ever met. And I was
- 20:58like, oh, my God. Right? And. And for
- 21:02business, I've substituted curiosity for
- 21:05intriguing. Right? But I got up every morning and
- 21:09said, what can I do today that is energetic,
- 21:12adventuresome, and intriguing or curious? I love
- 21:16that. Whenever I got ready to eat something, I would say, is this what
- 21:20an energetic, adventuresome or curious person would eat?
- 21:24What is the purpose? Why am I eating this? What is the purpose of this?
- 21:28Right. And so the same thing is true. When you're uncertain about
- 21:32the kind of decisions that you're going to make. One of the things that you
- 21:36can say is, is this the kind of action that an
- 21:40energetic, adventuresome, curious person would take?
- 21:44And your actions become much bigger. Yeah.
- 21:48Right. And so that is like a huge thing. And, and,
- 21:51and on top of that, I think one of the things that we don't
- 21:55do, there are two things. I'm sorry,
- 21:59this is supposed to be your interview, and I'm, you know, But. But I
- 22:02think we. We tend to want to wait until we're, you know, until we
- 22:06practice to be perfect. We don't acknowledge
- 22:10our celebrations as we go along. And, you know, for a long
- 22:14time, I've said, you know, the thing that I'm proudest of is even though I
- 22:18lost almost £200, it's 150, that I kept off.
- 22:22And what I realized the other day is I have now, I'm. Now that
- 22:25I'm now at 170, that I've kept off and never
- 22:29acknowledged those other. Other pounds in between. So you
- 22:33gotta celebrate as you go along. Even the small things. Were you on
- 22:36my call last night? I think it's. Were you a fly
- 22:40in the room? Because I think it's the
- 22:43astrology or whatever. Because there is definitely a movement
- 22:47about, I want my life to be good. I want to have more life in
- 22:50my life. Yeah. All right. So one of the limiting
- 22:54beliefs that I see all the time, too, limiting beliefs I see from people all
- 22:57the time, is one has to
- 23:01do with money. Oh, yeah. So. So what do you
- 23:05see in. In that arena? Oh, yeah, a lot of that.
- 23:09And I've learned, really,
- 23:13over the years, it took a lot. I had that too. Like, I had
- 23:17that, oh, I can't do this, because I was looking
- 23:21at my bank account to inform my decisions. And when I
- 23:24shifted that when I learned. But it took a long time
- 23:28to, like, I learned from my mentors and coach. Like, you tell money where to
- 23:32go. If you're letting your money direct your life,
- 23:36you're never going to be happy because you're never going to have too much and
- 23:39you're never going to have enough, and you're never going to have too low. So
- 23:43it's designing your
- 23:47life and telling your money where to go. Instead of saying, I can't
- 23:50afford this, I would either say, like you said,
- 23:54curiosity, how can I afford this?
- 23:58Or if you really,
- 24:02truly are not ready to take the step to spend the
- 24:05money there, I would also feel more
- 24:09empowered to equip somebody to say, I'm
- 24:13choosing not to put my money in that area right now. That's
- 24:16more empowering. That's not my priority.
- 24:21But here's, here's the other thing. You know, what I tell people
- 24:25is, you know, we say, I don't
- 24:29have time, I don't have money. Those are our basic go to's when we don't.
- 24:33But there really is a, a deeper reason under that
- 24:37I don't, you know. Yeah. So what I say, I say to people all the
- 24:40time, if this were free, would you do it? Yeah. Oh, yeah, of
- 24:44course. Of course I would. All right, so. So the time and the money is
- 24:47not really. It's not the thing. Right, right. But what I
- 24:51find so often is
- 24:55when people, when they have that belief that they won't, they
- 24:59don't invest in themselves, then it becomes harder to ask somebody
- 25:03to invest in them. Right. I, I listened to a coach
- 25:07once say, what's the most that you ever paid for a program?
- 25:11That's probably where you're stuck. Because
- 25:14if you ask somebody to pay more than that, then you start
- 25:18thinking, well, you know, that would be a struggle for me. So that's, you know,
- 25:21you start getting into that downward spiral. And I was like, this is so
- 25:25smart. Right? Yeah. So it's like one of the things
- 25:29that helps you is as you invest in yourself, not only do you
- 25:33get the benefit of the investment, but it also puts you in a place
- 25:36where you can charge what you're worth because
- 25:40you know what the benefit is. Yeah.
- 25:44Oh, wait for a minute. Yeah. But no, it's easy to say
- 25:47that too, for somebody. And like, I've had people say, no,
- 25:51you don't understand. I don't have the money. It's
- 25:55not in my bank account. And I'm like, is
- 25:58that what you want me to agree it with?
- 26:02No. You know, so let's change your story. We're always telling ourselves
- 26:06stories, so let's make up a good one.
- 26:10And, and I think that, you know, I. If you can't put food on your
- 26:14table, then I don't want you to take my program. Exactly. Right. Because you have
- 26:18to be at a, at a certain level. But if you tell me, you
- 26:21know, I have all these memberships and I have all these things that I'm
- 26:25paying for that I'm not getting benefit from, well, then we've got some place
- 26:29to work if you want some help. So I think, I think that,
- 26:32you know, I had somebody who, who I, I was talking to,
- 26:36and I finally said to her, do you want a hobby or do you
- 26:40want a business? I'm just passionate about this. I said, I get
- 26:44that. Yeah, but do you Want to be passionate as just
- 26:47an advocate and whatever, or do you want to
- 26:51have a business and make money, you know, because you have to support
- 26:55yourself. Right. And then I said. Then she
- 26:59kind of gave me her idea. And I said to her, I said, but here's
- 27:02the thing. This is what I feel very strongly about,
- 27:05is I think we're in the age of implementation. People
- 27:09don't need a but so much information, but they do
- 27:12need to figure out how to customize it and personalize it so that they
- 27:16can use it. Yeah. And so any program to me,
- 27:20has to have some kind of component like that in it. And so
- 27:24she goes, no, I'm just going to have the workshop and send them off.
- 27:28And I said, that's like selling somebody a pair of shoes and only giving them
- 27:31one shoe. Yeah. You know,
- 27:35so I think, you know, again, I'll go back to community. Sometimes if you don't
- 27:38say your ideas out loud, nobody knows what you're talking about. You know, you don't
- 27:42see where the, you know, the pitfalls are that you can avoid. Okay,
- 27:46so this is before we run out of time, because you and I philosophically
- 27:49could talk about all kinds of things.
- 27:53I usually like to ask, what are three things that you say to people that
- 27:57you want them to do that's going to help them?
- 28:02You know, I jotted a couple things down here, too.
- 28:06You know, the one thing was every day, ask yourself, who
- 28:10am I becoming like is the goal that I've set?
- 28:14You know, am I showing up as that woman who is
- 28:17acting as if I already have this? Right.
- 28:21The other thing is what I also said too, is do
- 28:25something. I didn't say that in this way, but do something
- 28:29that creates joy and
- 28:33brings your energy up and makes you feel. You do the thing
- 28:37that you've been avoiding doing because it makes it easier. And
- 28:41then you're not going to hack people. You're attracting people
- 28:44because you have that energy, because people could feel the energy. Right?
- 28:48And then so when you're ready and you do something to take, you know,
- 28:52joyful action, then I would say, take joyful, intentional action.
- 28:56What is the one thing that if I did
- 29:00that today and I put it on rinse and
- 29:03repeat every day, I know that it
- 29:07is going to start a movement, and then we
- 29:10can create some momentum. And that's why I called my the
- 29:14Joyful Momentum Collective, because I
- 29:18want people to come in, start taking action,
- 29:23get clarity, take action and keep taking action so you can get some
- 29:26momentum. We keep stopping and then starting all over again.
- 29:31So we lose momentum. That's why we think like we're starting from scratch all
- 29:34over again all the time. So, so, so again with,
- 29:38with the things that I say, it's like you're not starting over, you're continuing
- 29:42on. And, and, and the other thing, just as
- 29:45a tip that goes into what you just said, I, I used,
- 29:49I have this thing that's called the, the divided to do list.
- 29:53And you know how we make these lists. So on the left hand side is
- 29:56all the things that I have to do and I divide the page in
- 29:59half and on the right hand side are the things that I want to do.
- 30:03Right. And if you pick something that you want to do and do that
- 30:07first, your day will be so
- 30:11energetic. You're so excited. The energy. And not only
- 30:14that, whatever you have to do will fill the
- 30:18time that you have. And you will never have time left over to do what
- 30:21you want to do. I mean, it just, it just does because you, you, you
- 30:25play with it a little bit more. You go, can I do a little this?
- 30:28Can I do you know where if your time is tighter, you go, it's good
- 30:32enough, you know, for whatever that thing is that you have to do.
- 30:35Okay. So you also have a gift for us. I do.
- 30:40We've created an assessment and it's a
- 30:44really short, like under three minute, like a
- 30:47survey type thing. But it gives you immediate results to find out
- 30:51where you might be holding yourself back. Like where are you
- 30:55stuck, where are you starting and stopping
- 30:58just to identify that. And it does give you your answers right away.
- 31:02You don't have to wait to get an email or anything like that. So
- 31:06it's just Julie K. Can't wait to do that. Yeah.
- 31:10Okay. Coaching.com assessment. So
- 31:13that's fine. It's just easy. It'll. It'll be in the notes so you guys
- 31:17can find it really easy. And the
- 31:21other thing, of course, is the, the, the fun question of
- 31:25when was the last time you did something new for the first time?
- 31:29I saw that I was trying to think of what was new for the first
- 31:32time. It doesn't have to be totally new. It can be something you
- 31:36went back to, something that you haven't done for a long time.
- 31:41I was trying to think of that. I really, I don't know. I. This was
- 31:44my birthday month and we're still in it. So
- 31:48I always celebrate. Thank you.
- 31:51Notoriously, I have a spa day with my
- 31:55daughter and her girlfriend since sixth grade and one of my
- 31:58girlfriends. And this time, what a great role model. Right. We did that
- 32:02ever since they turned 21. We started doing that together
- 32:06and. But I expanded. My birthday went
- 32:10like three whole weeks with trips, little
- 32:14trips and little getaways. Came home for a day, did the
- 32:17spa day, went away again. So I felt like this was
- 32:21my best birthday ever. Even though it's one of those that people go like, oh,
- 32:25my gosh, you're that old. You know, I'm like,
- 32:29I get. I have energy, I have, you know,
- 32:32fun is one of my pillars. So I'm just
- 32:36milking it right till the end of the month. I decided this year it was
- 32:39going to be. Not going to be over at the end of the month. It's
- 32:42going to take the rest of, you know, and just keep celebrating
- 32:46it. I think that's fantastic. And the fact that you're going.
- 32:50You haven't done it for a while, but in. In the fall, you're going on
- 32:53your girlfriend trip. Yeah. It's been a number of years.
- 32:57Yeah, yeah, yeah. And it'll be different because it's been a couple of years. So
- 33:01it'll be like. Yeah, almost like the first time again, except better.
- 33:04And that's one of the things that I almost said, oh, I can't do it
- 33:08because we're actually going on a trip out
- 33:12east. Like, I'll be getting back and being home for like
- 33:16four days after being gone for 10 days and then
- 33:20going again. But I'm like, you know what? Life is too short to say
- 33:23no. I work for myself. It's all going to be
- 33:27okay. You have to say yes. Absolutely.
- 33:30Absolutely. Okay. I hate to stop this, but we gotta.
- 33:34So we do. We do. So for those who are listening, I hope your
- 33:38first step will be subscribe, and I hope you will share and engage on social
- 33:41media with this. Because one of the reasons that I do it is that I
- 33:45want to help you supercharge your business and create a community
- 33:49where that's happening on a regular basis. And
- 33:53through this, I want you to be able to grow
- 33:56and have an impact. And so I hope you'll continue to, you know,
- 34:00join me for the one small change as we go through this journey together.
- 34:04And if you haven't seen it already, the first episodes, and there are a couple
- 34:07of other episodes in there that I call the Clarity. The Clarity
- 34:11calls that you can look at as well. So,
- 34:15Julie, what are your last words of wisdom? What. What is
- 34:19things that you always say to your clients,
- 34:23do something fun first, then
- 34:27take action. I love that. Do something fun first,
- 34:30then take action. Okay, guys, we have to wrap this up. And
- 34:34the thing that I want you to remember is the change can be simple, but
- 34:38it's not always easy. It requires courage, resilience, and a
- 34:42willingness to step out of your comfort zone. So, you know, my
- 34:45mantra is I must be making, you know, a big change
- 34:49because I've never felt this miserable before.
- 34:53So acknowledging it is a good thing. And so I
- 34:57hope that you will continue on the journey of bold vision and innovative
- 35:00possibilities. Until next time, I hope you will stay
- 35:04very, very curious. Julie, thank you.
