- 0:22along with all her chickens. Hey
- 0:28everybody, good morning from the Chicken Coop. So
- 0:30I want to talk to you about always being in a
- 0:32hurry because I think this is one of the most toxic
- 0:36things that people do to themselves, constantly
- 0:38rushing around. If there's one thing that you
- 0:43can change quickly and you can make a massive
- 0:46difference in your life with, it's this factor. If
- 0:49you are constantly rushing, if you find yourself
- 0:52constantly rushing, rushing, rushing, rushing, you are
- 0:56setting yourself up for a massive amount of stress, a
- 1:00massive amount of dis -ease to come into your body
- 1:03because chemically when you have stress, your body
- 1:08fills up with all the different chemicals and
- 1:11enzymes and it's just stress pours in that way
- 1:16and your cells take it all in. And
- 1:19if you don't think that's true, boy, you need to do
- 1:22some research because if there's one thing that we
- 1:24know now for sure, it's that stress can take a
- 1:27person out in no time at all and dis -ease, I always
- 1:32say it that way because if you look at the word
- 1:34disease, it is dis -ease, meaning you are under
- 1:37stress and it tells us something and we need to
- 1:40be practical about it and pay attention to it. And
- 1:43one of the biggest things that causes dis -ease is
- 1:47the fact that we are always in a damn hurry and
- 1:49we don't always need to be in a damn hurry. Yet
- 1:52we are, yet we are and we do it to ourselves
- 1:55constantly, constantly, constantly and we don't
- 1:59stop and think about the fact that I've got to
- 2:01recollect myself to get out of this state of stress
- 2:03because if I stay in this state of stress, I'm going
- 2:06to cause myself to have less productive results.
- 2:10That's the very first thing. I'll
- 2:11tell you right now, if you're always in a hurry,
- 2:13you are having less productive results. If
- 2:15you are always in a hurry, you are not doing 100 % of
- 2:18the work that you are capable of doing. So
- 2:20no matter what your degree is, I don't care if you
- 2:23have a bachelor's degree, I don't care if you've got a
- 2:24doctorate or master's degree, whatever it might
- 2:26be, you are not giving it your full base of knowledge
- 2:30because you are focused on something that is chemically
- 2:35impossible when you are under stress and stress is
- 2:38completely and totally related to the cause of
- 2:41hurrying all the time. So because of how our society
- 2:44is wired, because of all the things that we put on
- 2:47our plate in a day, we get into that stress
- 2:50response of hurry way too much, whether it's to pack
- 2:54lunches, whether it's to get out the door, whether
- 2:58it's to simply get to bed. I
- 3:01have a client who constantly is in a hurry
- 3:03to get to bed, so she stresses all day long about
- 3:07what time she is going to go to bed at night because
- 3:09she's got to get enough sleep and if she doesn't
- 3:11get enough sleep, then she doesn't have a good day.
- 3:13So she spends the whole day
- 3:14worrying about sleeping and trying to get to sleep
- 3:20early, but her whole entire day to that point when she
- 3:24gets to that 8 .30 mark when she wants to be in
- 3:26bed is stress. The whole day. Imagine
- 3:30this. Just stop and think about this
- 3:32for a second because throughout the day she's
- 3:35like, oh I've got to hurry up and get this done
- 3:36because otherwise I'll have to do it later and I
- 3:38won't be able to get to bed. How
- 3:39great do you think her sleep is at that point?
- 3:41It's not. The
- 3:42sleep is not great at that point because unfortunately
- 3:45she has undone everything great because of her level
- 3:49of stress that she's under. So
- 3:51it's incredibly important that you understand what
- 3:54I'm talking about because if you don't, you don't
- 3:58see how this is affecting you across the board. So
- 4:01I'm going to challenge you to look through your life
- 4:04and see are you in a constant state of hurry?
- 4:07Where do you show up for hurry
- 4:08all the time? What are those things that you
- 4:11are doing to yourself all the time that cause this?
- 4:14And I say doing to yourself
- 4:16because we do not have to be in a hurry. We
- 4:20can change things. If it means getting up a
- 4:23little bit earlier, do it. I
- 4:26can't tell you how much I have to stress this to my
- 4:28clients because the reality is, well, it's always a
- 4:32hurry in our house in the morning. Why
- 4:33is it always in a hurry? Well,
- 4:34people can't find things. Well,
- 4:36it's just tough to get the kids out the door or it's
- 4:38tough to get myself out the door. I
- 4:40always get distracted. Look at the patterns of what's
- 4:43causing it. Look at the patterns of your,
- 4:46you know, when you wake up, are you checking email
- 4:48right away? Are you responding to emails
- 4:50that don't need you to respond to them urgently
- 4:52for hours? Yet you're doing it at six o
- 4:55'clock in the morning. It might mean that you
- 4:57actually have to wake up a half hour earlier in order
- 5:01to have your day be peaceful. You
- 5:03know, one of my practices that I do for myself, and
- 5:06I truly do this for myself because it makes me feel
- 5:08good. I love to make muffins. I
- 5:11don't know what it is. I like to bake muffins and I
- 5:14love to get up early in the morning and make
- 5:16muffins before anybody else is up. So
- 5:18when they wake up, there's hot muffins. And
- 5:21this is somewhat of a active meditation for me.
- 5:25Somewhat, it just fills my soul. I
- 5:26like the smell in the house. I
- 5:27like the act of doing it and I do nothing else
- 5:30while I'm making those muffins. I'm
- 5:32not listening to anything. I'm
- 5:33not doing anything. I'm just in the present moment
- 5:35making those muffins. But that requires that I get
- 5:38up 45 minutes earlier, but it's worth it to me
- 5:40because it sets the tone for my day. I
- 5:42feel great and I'm not in a state of rushing. If
- 5:46I have to make muffins and rush to do it to try to
- 5:48get the feeling, the whole purpose of it is gone. So
- 5:51look at your patterns. See what you need to do in
- 5:54order to help yourself with this. And
- 5:56for the love of God and all that's holy, stop
- 5:58rushing around because you're causing your body so
- 6:01much distress, so much anguish, so much dis -ease
- 6:05that you are going to get yourself sick. And
- 6:08if you can't conquer this, I'm telling you, if you
- 6:12don't choose, let me rephrase that, if you don't
- 6:14choose to conquer this, you will meet with that fact
- 6:17where someone will say to you, you have hypertension,
- 6:20you have high blood pressure, you have this
- 6:23issue, you have an ulcer, you have migraines, you
- 6:26have, you know, your neck is constantly so stressed
- 6:29that there's no blood going to it. These
- 6:32things will show up and then they only get worse
- 6:34from there. You're having heart issues, you're
- 6:37having liver issues because of all the toxicity in
- 6:41your body. So do yourself a favor while
- 6:44you have the opportunity. Take
- 6:45advantage of it. Stop hurrying. It'll
- 6:48kill you. I hope you guys are well and
- 6:51I hope you have a very peaceful day and I will
- 6:53see you all tomorrow. Bye.
