  We had a chat over the weekend catching up on a few things and

  So Mojave Experience is taking place March 20th and 21st at

  Joshua Tree. I am at this moment planning to

  go. Never been super stoked.

  I try to build in a little time around LA that weekend.

  Also, we really haven't had this kind of festival in a long time.

  Desert Fest, New York. Maybe we'll make a comeback at
• 4:31
  some point. Marilyn Stoner Dune Fest held

  their last ever festival, as far as we know, in June.

  So this might be the next big thing, the next big thing for
• 4:44
  this underground, beloved music. And I often said that I feel
• 4:49
  like people are catching up now to Stoner rock and psychedelic
• 4:53
  rock and all this incredible American Music.

  Sometimes heavy, sometimes not heavy.

  Definitely fun. So the line up so far includes

  headliners Dead Meadow and Earthless. 2 bands I have seen
• 5:08
  multiple times and absolutely love.

  They always put on a phenomenal show both these bands.

  But it this line up is absolutely packed with talent
• 5:18
  and the two new bands we have to announce today are going to be
• 5:21
  pretty fucking great. You will see John Garcia and his
• 5:27
  band playing basically John Garcia's entire career of Stoner
• 5:32
  rock and Stoner doom. Sean is here.

  You know, John, John needs no introduction.

  And I've said it once, I'll say it many times, he really is one

  of the first guys in heavy rock to not be imitating Ozio Dio, to

  really have his own voice as an instrument.

  It's really, really quite. There's nothing wrong with being
• 5:57
  influenced by your heroes, but, and John loves those guys too,

  I'm sure, but we've talked to him before, but he really has
• 6:05
  his own voice. Also also Acid King, again, a
• 6:10
  band that I absolutely love. They're coming.

  They just played here in San Francisco, actually from the Bay
• 6:15
  Area. Love Acid King.

  Also Mario Lally and the rubber snake charmers.

  Pretty damn phenomenal. There's Grant Bjork.

  I mean, this is a super group of super groups.

  But wait, there's more Ecstatic vision.

  Hippie death cults love them so much.

  Announced them last week. And now for the 2 new bands

  coming to your Mojave Experience Festival debut inaugural.

  That's the Miss World Cyber course here with the first.

  Oh sorry, Also Mario, Holly and the rubber snake charmers we

  mentioned them also Yawning man. Oh my God.

  OK, so now new artists. Nick Oliveri Solo Nick Oliveri

  is easily not just one of the most enigmatic artists ever in
• 7:08
  the modern musical world, but he's also one of the most
• 7:11
  accomplished. Great songwriter, incredible
• 7:14
  guitar player and bassist. You know him from his many, many
• 7:17
  bands, Caius and Queens of the Stone Age and all his solo
• 7:23
  bands. Stoner, which is his band with
• 7:24
  Brant, which had a great record last year.
• 7:28
  So I mean, you know, anything is possible or probable with Nick.
• 7:33
  Like, you know, he's going to have one of the most compelling
• 7:36
  sets of the weekend for sure. The guy is a treasure also.

  And this one I am so incredibly hyped for.

  This one really took my breath away when I first found out
• 7:49
  about it. The Freaks.
• 7:51
  And this is led by Ruben Romano, formerly a Fu Manchu, and a
• 7:55
  bunch of other bands. And the Ruben Romano had leads
• 7:58
  the Freaks FREEKS. He had also a previous band
• 8:05
  called Freak. I mean, Ruben's a great guy,
• 8:09
  really incredible. Looking forward to interviewing
• 8:11
  him for this. So you really have the cream of
• 8:14
  the crop of this genre performing at this festival.

  This is quite a feat to pull off for the very first inaugural
• 8:24
  edition of this festival is pretty wild.

  This is just a mind blowing amount of talent and there's
• 8:30
  still a bunch more bands to name so I am pumped for this.

  So yeah, that's the two new bands on the line up.

  Once again. I am really thrilled to partner

  Hopefully going to have a little boost set up to do my

  interviews, but also to meet fans and and, you know, share

  about this music is it's always family.

  When I went to Europe for Rd. burn or Desert Fest, it be it's

  it feels like a family, which is dope.

  You know much more than you know, as much of a huge metal

  head as I am. You know, there's a lot of
• 9:20
  gatekeepers and a lot of haters and a lot of skeptics, which is
• 9:24
  fine. You should be, you know, a band
• 9:26
  should have to win you over, should have to earn your fandom
• 9:29
  and should have to earn your respect.

  Jimmy, you just showed up. You didn't miss much.

  I just dropped the two new artists for the festival, Nick
• 9:39
  Oliveri solo, you know, Nick from Queens of the Stone Age,

  Caius, etcetera. And just just going over the

  Mojave lineup. And of course, the freaks led by
• 9:50
  Ruben Romano, formerly a Fu Manchu.
