- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Two things that I have pretended to really just be so well informed and well-rounded about that I really am not.
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: One of them is wine, but only when I go back to Ohio.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: Here I can't get away with it.
- 0:14SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 0:14SPEAKER_00: But my friends have this vision, and I think like TikTok gives them this vision because I worked at a winery that I know all this stuff and I'm swirling and I'm clipping the grips and I I am just like, oh that's a uh oh that's a Merlot.
- 0:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and and they're you can sell it.
- 0:31SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah, every single time we're at a any kind of dinner.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: Oh, let let Alicia pick the wine.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: She knows.
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: She knows her wine.
- 0:38SPEAKER_01: I'm like part-time at two wineries in between an early radio job, and that's what it gets you.
- 0:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's not a good idea.
- 0:43SPEAKER_01: You're an expert.
- 0:44SPEAKER_01: Oh, by the way, 0042.
- 0:47SPEAKER_01: Totally put the exclamation point on our speculation about why the video.
- 0:52SPEAKER_01: This is all things you pretend to know.
- 0:54SPEAKER_01: The speculation of why the arrest of the alleged suspect uh for the shooting yesterday in downtown was pulled from Elmira as crazy, and it's the most simple answer.
- 1:05SPEAKER_01: How about the most obvious?
- 1:07SPEAKER_01: It's against Facebook guidelines uh uh and it involves guns, question mark.
- 1:12SPEAKER_01: You stop 0042! That is the most obvious.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: Makes sense, yes.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: But Okay, wait, here's the other thing that I pretend to know about, but I really don't.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: For years, and I mean like many years, I did fantasy football with Oh my god, this was so frustrating and picked by the color of the uniform.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: With my friends from back home.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: And I would like kind of follow a little bit.
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: So I had like a little bit of knowledge to get me by, but I really didn't know exactly what I was doing.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: No.
- 1:45SPEAKER_01: I just You weren't following real stats.
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: No, no, no.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: But you know, I would like let's say Josh Allen was my player, right?
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: At least I would watch the games.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: If I had Josh Allen, then I would be watching those games and go, okay, he's doing well.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: He's getting me my points.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: I can see that he's getting me my points.
- 2:01SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: But other than that, I really don't have a clue.
- 2:04SPEAKER_01: Here's one for you.
- 2:05SPEAKER_01: Car repairs.
- 2:06SPEAKER_01: This one I'm pretty okay at.
- 2:07SPEAKER_01: And these are things I pretend to know.
- 2:10SPEAKER_01: Well, there are two things specific to you that I've pretended to know really well.
- 2:14SPEAKER_01: Car repairs.
- 2:15SPEAKER_01: Anytime you're like, oh, I got this squeak when I drive down the road, I go, could be a lock caliper.
- 2:21SPEAKER_01: Oh, yes.
- 2:22SPEAKER_01: Always a lock caliper.
- 2:23SPEAKER_01: You know, and I pretend to do.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: In this case, I never follow your advice.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: My friend Sarah was in the car industry almost her entire life.
- 2:31SPEAKER_00: I just call her and I make the noise over the phone and she goes, Oh, yeah, that's your lock caliper.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: Catalytic converter.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: Oh, we have that too, yeah.
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: Or, like, you know, she's one of those people.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: We'll be walking down the street, she hears a noise, and she goes, Oh, they need to change their hoosie.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: What's the thing, ma bobs?
- 2:45SPEAKER_01: What's why does it smell like rotten eggs?
- 2:47SPEAKER_01: Where does that come from in a car?
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: Because I farted?
- 2:49SPEAKER_01: Well, that yes, in your case, it's hard to diagnose the catalytic converters actually going.
- 2:54SPEAKER_01: You're right.
- 2:54SPEAKER_01: Medical issues.
- 2:55SPEAKER_01: That's another great one.
- 2:57SPEAKER_01: This one I run into a problem with now because obviously Tiffany's in the medical field.
- 3:02SPEAKER_01: I learned this from my mother.
- 3:03SPEAKER_01: My mother and my aunt would have endless conversations about medical stuff.
- 3:08SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm like, you guys are on the phone for three hours talking about Susie, you know, Wetzel's uh, you know, hysterectomy.
- 3:15SPEAKER_01: And now I know everything about the fertile female system.
- 3:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 3:19SPEAKER_01: Oh, whatever.
- 3:20SPEAKER_01: How many fallopian tubes do you have?
- 3:21SPEAKER_01: Two.
- 3:22SPEAKER_01: You sure about that?
- 3:23SPEAKER_01: No.
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: Things I pretend to know.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: Nineteen?
- 3:27SPEAKER_01: Yes, that's exactly accurate.
- 3:29SPEAKER_01: Oh, this one I never could pull off.
- 3:31SPEAKER_01: Fine art.
- 3:32SPEAKER_01: Everything's Van Gogh to me.
- 3:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: Picasso, maybe?
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: Maybe.
- 3:36SPEAKER_01: Maybe.
- 3:37SPEAKER_01: Uh oh, this you this one actually you legitimately could do.
- 3:41SPEAKER_01: Best restaurants in the area, but that's not even pretending to understand.
- 3:44SPEAKER_00: Oh, no, I I and but here's here's a little little detour to that.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: Is that it depends what you're either in the mood for or what your palate is.
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: Because I might think something is the greatest, and you don't.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 3:57SPEAKER_00: But I will say I feel like I have a pretty good palate.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they're pretty unfortunate.
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: I mean, I didn't get this body just eating celery.
- 4:03SPEAKER_01: Okay, what's the answer to every single time somebody has a computer problem?
- 4:07SPEAKER_01: This is the other thing we pretend to understand, but we really don't.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: Turn it off, restart it.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah, reboot it.
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: Blue screen to death, reboot it.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: And then every time we call our engineer, it all of a sudden works.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: I'm like, Aaron, I swear to God, it wasn't working ten minutes ago.
- 4:19SPEAKER_01: Or the question comes out of his mouth, did you reboot it?
- 4:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 4:23SPEAKER_01: These are the things that I just pretend to know.
- 4:25SPEAKER_00: I do the same thing though with our app.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: Whenever listeners will say, Oh, I can't get blah, blah, blah to work.
- 4:31SPEAKER_00: Did you reboot your phone?
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: Reboot your phone.
- 4:33SPEAKER_00: Reboot your phone.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: Delete the app, reinstall it.
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: Here's one.
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: I do the same thing.
- 4:38SPEAKER_01: Here's one.
- 4:38SPEAKER_01: We all do.
- 4:39SPEAKER_01: Things we pretend to understand.
- 4:40SPEAKER_01: And it's all just things we've heard.
- 4:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 4:42SPEAKER_01: Here's one for you.
- 4:43SPEAKER_01: What women want.
- 4:45SPEAKER_01: Okay.
