- 0:00Speaker 1: Boutleg cam podcasts. We got my guy, Chrissy d in
- 0:03Speaker 1: the building, one of my favorite comedians, one of my
- 0:05Speaker 1: favorite podcasters. Thank you, my friend. Welcome sir. Now you
- 0:09Speaker 1: are what what I've I've just just met you have
- 0:11Speaker 1: known who you are for a long time, but I
- 0:13Speaker 1: just physically am in your presence. You're an ambiguous race.
- 0:15Speaker 1: I can't figure out are you Mexican? Are you white?
- 0:19Speaker 1: Are you Middle Eastern? Are you a trans? I don't know.
- 0:23Speaker 1: I am I am trans Caucasian. Are you full white? Yeah?
- 0:27Speaker 1: I'm Irish, German and English? What so I'm just kind
- 0:30Speaker 1: of like the trio of the whitest shit possible. You're
- 0:33Speaker 1: you are the Empire, I am the I am I am.
- 0:36Speaker 1: I am what Hitler was like, Yeah, yeah, dude, but
- 0:40Speaker 1: you can there's a vibe to you. While I'm like,
- 0:42Speaker 1: you could also be Latino. You don't be a sneaky Latino.
- 0:45Speaker 1: A lot because my wife's Mexican. Okay, my kids are Mexican,
- 0:49Speaker 1: and a lot of people recently have been disappointed to
- 0:53Speaker 1: find out I was white. Yeah, a lot of rappers
- 0:57Speaker 1: once they find out I'm white, did I yo? But
- 0:59Speaker 1: you wife? And I'm like, what do you want from me? Yeah,
- 1:02Speaker 1: you don't think a white guy can fucking get a
- 1:04Speaker 1: hot Latin woman. Dude. My wife's Puerto Rican, that's what
- 1:08Speaker 1: I mean. Yeah, bro, but I don't look Latino at all,
- 1:11Speaker 1: so you're you're certainly white. Like it's very clear to
- 1:15Speaker 1: me that, like, at least my girl she knew she
- 1:18Speaker 1: was going in white, your girl could have been like
- 1:21Speaker 1: I thought he was Mexican. But now unfortunately it's too late.
- 1:24Speaker 1: But it's too late because you already dropped that empire dick.
- 1:27Speaker 1: The empire dick. Yes, that's what it is. It's a
- 1:29Speaker 1: good dick. Yeah. When I first when I first was
- 1:34Speaker 1: living with my girl, like you know, I had to
- 1:37Speaker 1: impress her, so I would I got the honey pack
- 1:40Speaker 1: from the gas station. Yes, you know what I mean.
- 1:42Speaker 1: That's beautiful. First month I was just I was on hgh. Yeah, dude. Yeah.
- 1:46Speaker 1: And then I know, I always I always like to
- 1:48Speaker 1: go the first couple of weeks with a new girl
- 1:50Speaker 1: just sex with the lights off, you know, yeah, because
- 1:53Speaker 1: it's just you know, I like, at least I get
- 1:55Speaker 1: them hooked and then it's just a full letdown because
- 1:56Speaker 1: then the lights go on and you're like yeah, because
- 1:59Speaker 1: I'm one of those guys, like you know, you know,
- 2:00Speaker 1: people always like, oh, you fucking you must be Jack.
- 2:03Speaker 1: But then I take my shirt off, my titskull like this,
- 2:05Speaker 1: you know, like I always have a crumb in my
- 2:07Speaker 1: belly button. My dick has a couple of warts on it,
- 2:09Speaker 1: and it's just one of those things where you get
- 2:11Speaker 1: them hooked, they fall in love, and then they just
- 2:14Speaker 1: start to see pass. Are you circumcised? Fully sir? Okay? Yeah.
- 2:18Speaker 1: One of my camera guys yesterday was telling us, which
- 2:23Speaker 1: sounds like a name for a cock he's got. He's like,
- 2:26Speaker 1: we're all talking about like how we were somehow we
- 2:30Speaker 1: were in a van in New York talking about our dicks.
- 2:33Speaker 1: It happens and I was like, yeah, I'm two out
- 2:37Speaker 1: of the four people were not circumcised. And I was like,
- 2:40Speaker 1: that's fucking gross, right, And then I was like, yeah, no,
- 2:42Speaker 1: I'm circumcised, but I'm like seventy five percent circumcised. Okay,
- 2:45Speaker 1: what does that mean? He said that, like they cut
- 2:48Speaker 1: his dick and then they like reattached a part of
- 2:50Speaker 1: the skin, and then he started to pull up my
- 2:54Speaker 1: pictures of other dicks that look like his, dick, and
- 2:56Speaker 1: I was like, Bro, that's a rough fucking go for
- 3:00Speaker 1: a young lady that's got a look at that mutilated
- 3:02Speaker 1: fucking meat finger down there. Honestly, even when I'm watching porn,
- 3:07Speaker 1: it doesn't matter how hot the girl is. If the
- 3:08Speaker 1: guys uncircumcised, I'm like, gross, can't do it? Next video?
- 3:13Speaker 1: What percentage of gay does it make me that I
- 3:16Speaker 1: have to have a nice dick in the video. Here's
- 3:18Speaker 1: the thing, here's what I'm about to tell you right now.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Back by science. I just watched this was maybe a
- 3:23Speaker 1: few months ago. I just watched a neuroscientist talk about
- 3:26Speaker 1: that men straight men ninety nine percent of the time
- 3:31Speaker 1: will fast forward or go to the next porn video
- 3:34Speaker 1: if the man's penis isn't big, because what excites a man.
- 3:38Speaker 1: A man's sexual part of the brain are tits and
- 3:41Speaker 1: a dick. That's what it wants. It wants the big
- 3:43Speaker 1: breaths and a big dick because the subcont the little
- 3:47Speaker 1: dick subconsciously makes the man feel insecure because they start
- 3:51Speaker 1: to think about their own size and it takes them
- 3:52Speaker 1: out of it. They want big, big, huge dick with
- 3:56Speaker 1: big boobs. So hypothetically, the straight man and would have
- 4:00Speaker 1: the highest climax off of transgender shemail porn. That's the neuroscientist.
- 4:07Speaker 1: That's the neuroscientist that I hired. Give give that lecture. No,
- 4:11Speaker 1: that's a neuroscientist that was backed by science, dude, So
- 4:15Speaker 1: it's weird you bring that up that way. Wait wait,
- 4:17Speaker 1: so hypothetically a straight this is this is real, this
- 4:20Speaker 1: is backed by science. This. I saw a Ted talk
- 4:24Speaker 1: of a guy I was also an event of my friends,
- 4:26Speaker 1: and I was like, let's look up Ted talks on
- 4:28Speaker 1: that can verify that we're not gay because we like
- 4:31Speaker 1: she mails. So we looked into it and this is true.
- 4:35Speaker 1: You can YouTube this. It literally. The science has said
- 4:39Speaker 1: they did a whole study, you know, in Sweden or
- 4:41Speaker 1: one of those crazy freaky tee countries where they were
- 4:44Speaker 1: like that men got most excited by a big penis
- 4:47Speaker 1: and a big pair of boobs because that in the
- 4:51Speaker 1: core of the brain, you want the big boobs, obviously,
- 4:54Speaker 1: you want you know, we know why and and do
- 4:57Speaker 1: you know why actually big boobs, why we're why we're
- 5:00Speaker 1: attracted to big boobs and a big But do you
- 5:02Speaker 1: know the scientific reason for that? I don't. I didn't
- 5:05Speaker 1: know there was one. I enjoy nice big breasts, but
- 5:08Speaker 1: I would probably fancy myself and ask guy, But you
- 5:10Speaker 1: know I like both. Okay, here's what it is. So
- 5:14Speaker 1: the reason why you even ask. The reason why scientists
- 5:17Speaker 1: say you like men, we like big boobs and a
- 5:21Speaker 1: big butt, white hips is the boobs one is because
- 5:25Speaker 1: what we're subconsciously Neanderthal brain seeing baby has milk. Our
- 5:30Speaker 1: babies will have milk to feed off. Big breast, right
- 5:32Speaker 1: and comfortable pillow to lay on now now, But hips,
- 5:37Speaker 1: why birthing canal gives us subconstantly our chance, our baby's chances,
- 5:41Speaker 1: the best chance of survival. So we associate the butt
- 5:44Speaker 1: with the hips. That's the reason why. And that's also
- 5:47Speaker 1: the reason why women like this all makes sense big guys,
- 5:50Speaker 1: why they like attract to a taller guys because in
- 5:53Speaker 1: her brandy, she's saying he can guard me from animals.
- 5:56Speaker 1: We can go out and hunt, he can go out
- 5:57Speaker 1: and hunt. And that's also why men are attracted to
- 6:01Speaker 1: more physical attributes and beauty and women aren't because what
- 6:05Speaker 1: a woman needs is a man who's all they really
- 6:08Speaker 1: care about is if they're smarter enough. Because you have
- 6:10Speaker 1: to again we live in a different world now, but
- 6:12Speaker 1: this is neanderthal brain that we still have, you know,
- 6:15Speaker 1: are connected to the man's has to be smarter. That's
- 6:18Speaker 1: why they're less about physical qualities, because you have to
- 6:21Speaker 1: be cunning to go out and hunt and find food
- 6:22Speaker 1: and perspect right where the woman is not going out
- 6:25Speaker 1: and doing it. So we don't care if she's smarter enough.
- 6:27Speaker 1: We just say them big old tit as for our
- 6:30Speaker 1: baby's breast milk and the big cock and a big
- 6:32Speaker 1: cock and a nice and a nice, nice wide burthen canal.
- 6:37Speaker 1: That's what it is. If Kim Kardashian had a cock,
- 6:39Speaker 1: I'd be in have you seen? Have you seen? My
- 6:45Speaker 1: wife follows this makeup artist, Nikita Dragon's she's an Asian uh,
- 6:53Speaker 1: makeup influencer, but she's she's trans right, okay, but like
- 6:58Speaker 1: fucking smoking okay, but it's like it's almost like crazy. Yes,
- 7:02Speaker 1: you know what I did? Actually, my girl told me
- 7:04Speaker 1: to look into Nikita Dragon, and I did, and we
- 7:07Speaker 1: reached out to do her podcast or if I could
- 7:10Speaker 1: go on her so she'd come to mind and she
- 7:11Speaker 1: I believe her reps just sent a one word answer,
- 7:14Speaker 1: which was no, I'm almost that's where I know her
- 7:16Speaker 1: hard no, hard no, And I'm like, well, I'm still
- 7:18Speaker 1: jerking off to you, so can't stop me from doing that. Yeah.
- 7:22Speaker 1: I always tell my friends. I'm like, yo, I can't
- 7:24Speaker 1: watch lesbian poorn. No, there's nothing in lesbian porn for me. Nothing.
- 7:28Speaker 1: There's nothing because I like to at least feel like
- 7:31Speaker 1: I'm the dude that's you know, fucking yes. Yeah, and
- 7:36Speaker 1: I almost I try to come my come time. I
- 7:38Speaker 1: come shot with the guys. Come shot. Yes, yes, yeah,
- 7:43Speaker 1: that's the strategy. That's why I like. And I also
- 7:45Speaker 1: like an up close and personal blowjop. I like a blowjob.
- 7:50Speaker 1: I don't like, you know, if you're eating a girl,
- 7:52Speaker 1: I don't care. Nobody wants to see a guy you
- 7:53Speaker 1: a chick out. Let me see your wet cock. Dude.
- 7:57Speaker 1: How many people you think turn this podcast off for
- 7:59Speaker 1: the to get the goal? Especially my audience, they're like, yo,
- 8:03Speaker 1: what the fuck? Hey yo, yo, he sucks that boss, boss,
- 8:08Speaker 1: your man's wild sucks. Oh man, Well welcome, thank you.
- 8:15Speaker 1: That was a great way to kick things off there.
- 8:17Speaker 1: It is for people who don't know you, how did
- 8:20Speaker 1: you cause did you kind of give us kind of
- 8:23Speaker 1: a Rundown on how you kind of started to get
- 8:25Speaker 1: your buzz going in the in the comedy scene. Was
- 8:27Speaker 1: it the Opie and Anthony Show. Opie and Anthony was
- 8:29Speaker 1: definitely big for me. I started stand up in two
- 8:31Speaker 1: thousand and nine, twenty ten, okay, And then you know,
- 8:34Speaker 1: it's interesting like I went that route of you know,
- 8:38Speaker 1: I got on Guy Code, Code and Girl Code, which
- 8:40Speaker 1: was was big, like big show by the way, Scholes
- 8:43Speaker 1: was on there as well, Charlemagne, Broh Schultz, Charlemagne. Ah gosh,
- 8:49Speaker 1: there's like so many people that came from that. Yeah,
- 8:51Speaker 1: man Aquafina, Like all these people came out of it,
- 8:56Speaker 1: Nicole Bayer and there's like literally, if you look, it's
- 8:58Speaker 1: like wild little Duvall, You're like, all these people are
- 9:01Speaker 1: on Guy Coding, Girl Code and really nobody the biggest
- 9:03Speaker 1: one with Charlotmagne, Charlemagne and Duval were you know, pretty
- 9:07Speaker 1: pretty famous. But by of course, other than that, nobody
- 9:10Speaker 1: really had a career. It was like all our starting
- 9:12Speaker 1: off points Pete Davidson. So it's like, you know, we
- 9:17Speaker 1: did that show and that listen. That definitely got us
- 9:19Speaker 1: to a point, got us in the clubs, got us know,
- 9:21Speaker 1: But it still didn't get you to like you still
- 9:23Speaker 1: weren't like we weren't. None of us were really selling
- 9:26Speaker 1: tickets or or you know, on the road, because that's
- 9:28Speaker 1: really the barometer of a comic. You could be on
- 9:30Speaker 1: this TV show, on that TV show and do that,
- 9:31Speaker 1: but can you sell tickets? But because selling tickets is
- 9:34Speaker 1: it's not only it's not only to other comics, but
- 9:37Speaker 1: also just it's a world thing. It's like there's no
- 9:39Speaker 1: smoking mirrors with tickets sales. There's a lot of smoking
- 9:41Speaker 1: mirrors with television. You could be on a hit, Oh
- 9:43Speaker 1: I got a CBS show, I got this Shawman. No,
- 9:46Speaker 1: it gives you. But guess what, nobody knows who you are. Nobody,
- 9:49Speaker 1: nobody cares to purchase the ticket. But there's no because
- 9:51Speaker 1: because you could make you know, the New York poster
- 9:53Speaker 1: whomever could write an article about anyone saying that the
- 9:55Speaker 1: next big whatever, and it's like, it's bullshit. If no
- 9:57Speaker 1: one's at your shows, that if the people come, and
- 10:00Speaker 1: that's how you know, So the people really weren't coming
- 10:02Speaker 1: until really I started to do podcasting and the internet,
- 10:05Speaker 1: and I had to kind of fail uh in television
- 10:08Speaker 1: to learn that because I had. I had my daughter
- 10:12Speaker 1: seven now, she was about six months old at the time.
- 10:14Speaker 1: I had a sitcom with CBS, a pilot film, the
- 10:18Speaker 1: whole thing. You know. I met Dulp people at Chaz
- 10:20Speaker 1: commentary from Bronxtail. Uh. He played my father and the
- 10:24Speaker 1: show Diane Guerrero played my love interest from Orange Is
- 10:27Speaker 1: the New Black and and a bunch of other stuff
- 10:30Speaker 1: and uh. And then I thought I was gonna be
- 10:32Speaker 1: you know, the next Ray Romano or the CBS was
- 10:35Speaker 1: telling me You're gonna be this and that, and then
- 10:37Speaker 1: the show didn't go, just failed, did not did not go.
- 10:39Speaker 1: I spent a year in my life put everything I
- 10:41Speaker 1: had into it was going back and forth to La,
- 10:43Speaker 1: time away from my family, and then you know, missed
- 10:46Speaker 1: moments with my daughter's life. And I was like, well,
- 10:48Speaker 1: but this will be good. We'll move to LA because
- 10:50Speaker 1: I was following this you know route of the print. Yeah,
- 10:53Speaker 1: Night Seinfeld, ninth Bill Cosby, all these guys, and and
- 10:58Speaker 1: it didn't go. And I said, well, shit, now I
- 11:00Speaker 1: got a daughter, a young daughter, you know that, I
- 11:03Speaker 1: have a life here. I got a girl, I had
- 11:04Speaker 1: a step son. I was like, I need to make money,
- 11:08Speaker 1: so I said, I made a deal with myself. When
- 11:10Speaker 1: it didn't go I said, I said, I'm not going
- 11:14Speaker 1: to allow myself ever again in my career to not
- 11:17Speaker 1: be in control. I'm never going to put my fate
- 11:20Speaker 1: of my career in my family, someone else, in someone
- 11:23Speaker 1: else's hands. The only people I will give it to
- 11:25Speaker 1: is the audience, is the fans. So I said, find
- 11:27Speaker 1: a way to give your put your career in the
- 11:30Speaker 1: hands of your fans. And that's when I turned to
- 11:32Speaker 1: the internet and podcasting, and it's really it was going good,
- 11:35Speaker 1: going good, and then it's weird like that when the
- 11:37Speaker 1: pandemic happened. You know a lot of people kind of
- 11:41Speaker 1: career life got put on pause. But that's when my
- 11:44Speaker 1: career like got to the next level. Yeah, because everybody,
- 11:47Speaker 1: the whole world just sitting in front of computer, same
- 11:50Speaker 1: thing with Schultz. Schultz exploded in the pandemic. So it's
- 11:54Speaker 1: it's one of those things where I still and I
- 11:57Speaker 1: live by that now. And now I am going to
- 11:59Speaker 1: do some some TV stuff, but it's all on my
- 12:02Speaker 1: own terms. I'm like, yo, I don't want to go
- 12:03Speaker 1: to LA I don't want I want to do a
- 12:05Speaker 1: whole If I'm going to do TV. It's got to
- 12:07Speaker 1: be out of New York because now I have the power,
- 12:11Speaker 1: because because my fans, because my careers in the hands
- 12:13Speaker 1: of my fans. Now my tickets are sold, Now we
- 12:16Speaker 1: add shows. Now you know, I have a podcast and
- 12:19Speaker 1: a Patreon and everything is being controlled through my way.
- 12:22Speaker 1: So now I can tell you know, now I can
- 12:24Speaker 1: dictate my own terms, where a lot of times with
- 12:26Speaker 1: TV you can't. The corporate person will say, well, you
- 12:29Speaker 1: can't do this because you know they have all the
- 12:33Speaker 1: bargaining chips. But now I can say, well, listen, if
- 12:35Speaker 1: we don't do it my way, no album, I don't. Guy. Yeah,
- 12:38Speaker 1: it's and and and it's very respectful, but it's like,
- 12:41Speaker 1: there's no reason I need to do your show other
- 12:43Speaker 1: I have everything. I'm only going to do what I
- 12:46Speaker 1: want to do. That's a great position to be in life. Yeah,
- 12:48Speaker 1: I sit on my couch or or or or studio
- 12:51Speaker 1: very close to my house, say exactly what I want
- 12:54Speaker 1: to the fans that want to hear it. They come
- 12:56Speaker 1: and buy tickets to my show, and we have a
- 12:58Speaker 1: happy little family. And to be honest with you, and
- 13:01Speaker 1: I'm fine with this. It's like even somebody like my
- 13:04Speaker 1: mother would be like, oh, why don't you want to
- 13:06Speaker 1: do this show at that show, because even she doesn't understand, like,
- 13:09Speaker 1: I lose money doing that. So not only is it freedom,
- 13:13Speaker 1: you know, comedically, which is the most important, but financially
- 13:16Speaker 1: it's like, you know, I make way more money doing
- 13:18Speaker 1: it my way, sitting on my couch being I don't
- 13:20Speaker 1: miss it. I barely miss any events in my daughter's
- 13:24Speaker 1: life unless I'm on the road, because I'm like, I don't.
- 13:26Speaker 1: I'm not gonna go away and do things. Don't. There's
- 13:29Speaker 1: time is time is so much more valuable to me
- 13:32Speaker 1: than money. It's the greatest currency. It is the greatest currency.
- 13:36Speaker 1: I don't need, you know, I think about money in
- 13:39Speaker 1: a different, very different Now. I got two kids, two
- 13:41Speaker 1: daughters and a step son. So now I'm like, you know,
- 13:43Speaker 1: I just don't. I flatter Like I just turned down
- 13:46Speaker 1: a movie yesterday that would have taken me to la
- 13:49Speaker 1: for six weeks, and I'm like, it was with a
- 13:52Speaker 1: comedy hero of mine. You know, the money was okay,
- 13:55Speaker 1: but I was like, it's just not worth it, man,
- 13:57Speaker 1: I'll do that. I'll hold flee that opportunity. Similar opportunity
- 14:02Speaker 1: is there twenty years from now when I'm older and
- 14:04Speaker 1: my kids don't want to hang out with me anyway.
- 14:06Speaker 1: You know, they're in college and I but right now
- 14:07Speaker 1: with this time, I don't want to miss anything in
- 14:09Speaker 1: their life. So I'm very focused on Hey, I'm only
- 14:13Speaker 1: gonna do things that keep me close to home. Now. Listen,
- 14:15Speaker 1: I gotta you know, when I go on the road
- 14:17Speaker 1: and yeah, you got, I got a tour, but it's
- 14:19Speaker 1: but it's minimal time. It's like I get again, I
- 14:21Speaker 1: get to a city Thursday, I'm home Sunday morning. It's
- 14:24Speaker 1: not like eight weeks away. I'll never do that, you know.
- 14:28Speaker 1: So yeah, so I think that was the big thing.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Big thing that changed in my career was my mindset
- 14:34Speaker 1: of I will only put my career in the hands
- 14:36Speaker 1: of my fans. I will not. I will. And I
- 14:38Speaker 1: also caught even on the TV shows I do. It's like, listen,
- 14:42Speaker 1: if you don't like the way I understand, you can't
- 14:44Speaker 1: say certain words on television. I get that. But if
- 14:46Speaker 1: you're gonna dumb down my comedy to a point that
- 14:49Speaker 1: I'm not happy with me anymore, I'm off the show
- 14:52Speaker 1: you consume me, I mean, I don't care. You know, Hey,
- 14:55Speaker 1: what have you'll, Bootleg keV gott to stop the interview
- 14:57Speaker 1: to tell you about our newest sponsor. Man shout out
- 14:59Speaker 1: to the home at Hardan, Las Vegas. That's right then,
- 15:03Speaker 1: number one dispensary in the whole state of Nevada, let
- 15:08Speaker 1: alone in the whole fucking country. So many choices of
- 15:11Speaker 1: premium cannabis. Ladies and gentlemen. It is like, how can
- 15:15Speaker 1: I put this? You walk into it. You go to
- 15:17Speaker 1: Hardan in Las Vegas when you're on vacation, when you're

- 15:53Speaker 1: you have to pull up to Hardan, tell them I

- 16:08Speaker 1: Let's get back to the interview. Most people would take
- 16:10Speaker 1: the movie with their comedic hero listen. For me, I
- 16:14Speaker 1: just thought about it, right, and I was just like,
- 16:17Speaker 1: can you say who it is? Kevin Hart? No? No, no no,
- 16:19Speaker 1: I know it was Bill Berr. Okay, Oh well shit, yeah?
- 16:22Speaker 1: And and and and and and you know, it was
- 16:25Speaker 1: one of those things where I was like, yo, like,
- 16:28Speaker 1: I I is that worth six weeks away from my kids?
- 16:32Speaker 1: That worth missing six track practices a birthday? You know? Uh?
- 16:39Speaker 1: Is it worth? Uh? Three movie nights? Is it? Is? It?
- 16:42Speaker 1: Is it worth all that? And I was like, you know,
- 16:44Speaker 1: we're not struggling financially right now or anything we want.
- 16:48Speaker 1: And I and you know what's great. You know what's
- 16:49Speaker 1: the best part about all this too, is I can
- 16:52Speaker 1: have say what I want right to my fans who care,
- 16:56Speaker 1: have some financial freedom and flexibility to my fans give me.
- 17:00Speaker 1: And the best part is I also have my anonymity.
- 17:02Speaker 1: When I walk down the street, I get noticed maybe
- 17:05Speaker 1: two or three times. But it's a beautiful thing. But
- 17:08Speaker 1: it's like, but even if I did do even if
- 17:10Speaker 1: I said something out of context on a tweet, right, nobody,
- 17:15Speaker 1: no one's coming to me. It doesn't care. They'd be like, oh,
- 17:17Speaker 1: what does he have a fucking podcast where he sits
- 17:19Speaker 1: down with T T. Jerry and Chrissy Cass. They'd be like,
- 17:22Speaker 1: this is not big enough. Now. If you get in
- 17:24Speaker 1: a movie, if you get on a big take, now
- 17:26Speaker 1: they start to want to they have shit to take
- 17:28Speaker 1: from you now. But if you don't give them that,
- 17:30Speaker 1: then what do they have to take? They had something
- 17:32Speaker 1: where they were on your ass recently, you were on TikTok. Yeah,
- 17:37Speaker 1: was it like a Latin joke or something? I don't think.
- 17:39Speaker 1: I think I think people took out of context and
- 17:41Speaker 1: they don't realize you're married to a Latin woman. Yeah,
- 17:42Speaker 1: so that but it's interesting, So that happened. You know,
- 17:45Speaker 1: the Mexican community was coming after me, and I understood
- 17:48Speaker 1: the wording of that joke because basically what I was
- 17:50Speaker 1: trying to say was it's basically it was a whole
- 17:52Speaker 1: made up scenario. So what I was trying to say
- 17:55Speaker 1: was is that t T. Jerry, who if you don't know,
- 17:57Speaker 1: she's on my podcast. She's transgender Latino woman did twenty
- 18:00Speaker 1: years in prison, you know, Puerto Rican. Like she's like,
- 18:03Speaker 1: you know, it's it's it's my wife's uncle and she's
- 18:05Speaker 1: actually my kid's godmother now and you know whatever, she's
- 18:09Speaker 1: my family and so so we you know, say wild
- 18:11Speaker 1: shit on the pod together. But we were saying that
- 18:14Speaker 1: there was a guy was fixing my friend, family friend
- 18:18Speaker 1: was fixing an air conditioner unit in my in my attic,
- 18:21Speaker 1: and his foot went through the ceiling right, So I
- 18:24Speaker 1: was like, and he said, he was like, he was like,
- 18:26Speaker 1: oh shit, he goes, I'm sorry. I was like, yeah, whatever,
- 18:29Speaker 1: just patch it up. And then and then he goes
- 18:30Speaker 1: and then he goes. He was like, he's Spanish, but
- 18:32Speaker 1: he was like, oh, I don't have my papers. I
- 18:34Speaker 1: don't have my papers and then like so we were
- 18:35Speaker 1: just like joking around like that and all laughing. So
- 18:37Speaker 1: then I went on the podcast the next day. And
- 18:39Speaker 1: that's what it is, like, you take scenarios like that
- 18:42Speaker 1: and you make bits of it. That's even in a podcast,
- 18:45Speaker 1: people like, hey, what you said about X, Y and
- 18:47Speaker 1: Z that you know sometimes my family called me like
- 18:49Speaker 1: that's not true. I'm not This isn't therapy, right, doing
- 18:52Speaker 1: a show, so we're entertaining people. So what happened was
- 18:55Speaker 1: I said on the podcast, I said, oh, you know,
- 18:58Speaker 1: like a Mexican worker felt through my ceiling yesterday, and
- 19:01Speaker 1: I was like, you know, I was like, you know,
- 19:04Speaker 1: he said that his neck hurt. And then T. T.
- 19:06Speaker 1: Jerry went up there and was like, I said that
- 19:08Speaker 1: he felt through this. What I meant to say was
- 19:10Speaker 1: he fell through the ceiling. And then twenty minutes later,
- 19:12Speaker 1: all of a sudden, he said it's neck hurt. And
- 19:14Speaker 1: then T. T. Jerry went up the stairs like, oh,
- 19:16Speaker 1: your neck hurt. Where's your papers? And then he was
- 19:18Speaker 1: like I don't have papers and he was like th
- 19:19Speaker 1: bah like that. So but the way that TikTok came
- 19:23Speaker 1: out was I didn't say the twenty minute part and
- 19:25Speaker 1: I just did a word right. So it sounded like,
- 19:27Speaker 1: especially if you don't know me, sounds like this white
- 19:29Speaker 1: guy is here talking about the Latino community and all
- 19:33Speaker 1: the It got to the point where like people are like,
- 19:36Speaker 1: somebody goes, we found the worker. We're gonna we're gonna
- 19:39Speaker 1: found him. Some lady some like famous Mexican American attorney
- 19:43Speaker 1: or I guess famous on TikTok was like we messaged me.
- 19:45Speaker 1: They're like, we found the worker. We are going to
- 19:48Speaker 1: represent him for free or assist grants. I was like,
- 19:50Speaker 1: the worker is literally a dummy from Staten Island who
- 19:53Speaker 1: was a family friend. Like what, there's no work for them?
- 19:56Speaker 1: You didn't fud there's no worker. So I texted his
- 19:58Speaker 1: name is Anthony. I was like anybody reached out to.
- 20:00Speaker 1: He was like I don't even have his cell phone,
- 20:02Speaker 1: like you know, like so like it's just like stupid
- 20:07Speaker 1: and then these people attack. So but then it's interesting
- 20:09Speaker 1: because it's just a micro cosm like social media. It's
- 20:12Speaker 1: just a microcosm people because you think they're like, oh,
- 20:15Speaker 1: people were like sending me like death threats. Right, and
- 20:17Speaker 1: then I did shows coincidentally, I think three weeks later
- 20:20Speaker 1: in in the not the Irvine was Yeah, it was
- 20:23Speaker 1: the Irvine improv. Yah. It's a huge Mexican of course
- 20:26Speaker 1: community in that area. Bro. The producer, I'm sorry, the
- 20:30Speaker 1: manager of the club you know is beautiful sold out shows,
- 20:33Speaker 1: thanking to people of Irvine for of course, you know,
- 20:34Speaker 1: it's like all the shows put together. It's like three
- 20:36Speaker 1: thousand tickets. It's like a big ass venue. Like I
- 20:38Speaker 1: did six six shows, five hundred people each show. He
- 20:42Speaker 1: told me he was like, other than Felipe A Sparza,
- 20:45Speaker 1: who's a huge Mexican media, La goes, you have the
- 20:47Speaker 1: most Mexican fans I've ever seen in this venue, and
- 20:51Speaker 1: all of them love none of them even, none of
- 20:54Speaker 1: them even saw that TikTok or barely any of them, kid,
- 20:57Speaker 1: And the ones that did were like, like, yo, it's
- 20:59Speaker 1: fucking hilarious. That's the thing about the internet is like
- 21:01Speaker 1: you can't take it too serious because it's always the
- 21:04Speaker 1: really loud minority and like you always think in your head,
- 21:08Speaker 1: everybody saw this, when you're really not that many people
- 21:11Speaker 1: in your real life or fans really actually give a
- 21:14Speaker 1: fuck or yeah, because you have to also understand, you
- 21:17Speaker 1: have to understand the mindset of someone on social media.
- 21:21Speaker 1: For you to even both ways and listen, it's all good.
- 21:24Speaker 1: I you know, will appreciate it, like whatever, But for
- 21:28Speaker 1: you to comment negatively on someone's Instagram or TikTok publicly
- 21:34Speaker 1: or positively, it's a little bit like most people don't
- 21:37Speaker 1: give a fuck at all, Right, most people are like, yeah,
- 21:40Speaker 1: I just move on with my shit. Like I would
- 21:41Speaker 1: comment on something you because we know each other. But
- 21:44Speaker 1: for random people to comment or send you DMS positive
- 21:47Speaker 1: or negative is a little like it's just strange. And
- 21:50Speaker 1: most most people, most people don't care. Most people didn't
- 21:54Speaker 1: even see that TikTok, or they did, they didn't give
- 21:56Speaker 1: a shit, and they bought a ticket because they liked
- 21:58Speaker 1: me from other things, or they didn't buy a ticket.
- 22:00Speaker 1: They don't like me for everything. So the people that
- 22:02Speaker 1: get so wrapped up. So actually a step that I've
- 22:04Speaker 1: taken is and I understand, you know, not everyone can
- 22:08Speaker 1: do this. I get it to be in a fortunate position.
- 22:11Speaker 1: But I have now given the keys to my all
- 22:13Speaker 1: my social media, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, everything to someone else,
- 22:17Speaker 1: to a guy who works for my management company. I
- 22:19Speaker 1: know him very well. He has the passwords to everything.
- 22:22Speaker 1: I purposely told him do not give. I don't want
- 22:24Speaker 1: to know. I don't want to have access into my
- 22:26Speaker 1: own social media. You you know, if somebody like you
- 22:29Speaker 1: reached out and he was like yo, and then he'll
- 22:31Speaker 1: send it to me, I'm like, give him my number,
- 22:32Speaker 1: tell him to text me. We'll do things like that.
- 22:35Speaker 1: But I'm like, I don't want to know because it
- 22:37Speaker 1: is a thing. A lot of people talk about negative
- 22:40Speaker 1: comments and how it messes with your brain chemistry one
- 22:42Speaker 1: hundred percent accurate. So do positive ones? Positive ones take
- 22:45Speaker 1: you out into this egotistical state where you aren't who
- 22:49Speaker 1: you really are. So I said, you know what, I
- 22:52Speaker 1: don't need it anymore. It's built up to me where
- 22:55Speaker 1: it's comfortable, like you know, whatever, I however many you know,
- 22:58Speaker 1: one hundreds thousands are on there, it's comfortable enough for me.
- 23:01Speaker 1: It's a ticket selling apparatus for me. I tell my
- 23:04Speaker 1: guy what to post every day, give him the video,
- 23:07Speaker 1: tell him the caption. So it is my writing and
- 23:10Speaker 1: my work, of course, but I don't have any I
- 23:13Speaker 1: don't know who's saying them. Even after shows, there would
- 23:17Speaker 1: be a thing where I would be paralyzed. After shows.
- 23:19Speaker 1: You have a good show. Check the thirty fifty one
- 23:22Speaker 1: hundred DMS. Girls, guys, I want to hang out. I
- 23:24Speaker 1: want to take you to bar and I'd be, oh
- 23:25Speaker 1: my god, you almost have. You know, sometimes too many options,
- 23:28Speaker 1: too much choice is not freedom's you're in prison with
- 23:30Speaker 1: too many choices. That's that's a thing where It's like
- 23:33Speaker 1: I felt like the less I have, the less people
- 23:36Speaker 1: that have access to me, the freer I am. So
- 23:40Speaker 1: I was like, now, the only people that have access
- 23:41Speaker 1: to me is if you have my number or my email,
- 23:43Speaker 1: if you're a personal friend or family member, then we
- 23:46Speaker 1: can talk. Other than that, there's a layer, there's someone,
- 23:49Speaker 1: a buffer in front of it. And bro, It's made
- 23:51Speaker 1: everything in my life so much better. From relationship with
- 23:55Speaker 1: my girl, relationship with my kids, my body. I've lost
- 23:57Speaker 1: like twenty five pounds fasting working out because I'm not
- 24:01Speaker 1: I'm not sucked into tocasonally phone, I'm not sucked into
- 24:05Speaker 1: the toxicity of it. Even you know, yes, yes, women,
- 24:10Speaker 1: you know all that stuff, you know, because sex is
- 24:12Speaker 1: an addiction, like anything else that gets you in trouble.
- 24:14Speaker 1: Of course, comparison, you know, my one of my favorite
- 24:17Speaker 1: quotes I just did a video about it from Teddy Roosevelt,
- 24:19Speaker 1: who says, well, oh my fault, you know these guys crying.
- 24:25Speaker 1: One of my favorite quotes from Teddy Roosevelt is is
- 24:28Speaker 1: a comparison is the thief of joy? Oh yes, it's
- 24:30Speaker 1: the worst. Yeah. So I don't compare myself to my peers.
- 24:33Speaker 1: I don't know what my peers are doing. I'm happy
- 24:35Speaker 1: for whatever they're doing. I only I compare me to me.
- 24:38Speaker 1: Even on social media, sometimes you compare you to you,
- 24:41Speaker 1: and that's not good. Either. You'll look at a picture
- 24:43Speaker 1: or video of yourself from ten months ago and be like,
- 24:45Speaker 1: why don't Why don't I look like that anymore? Or
- 24:47Speaker 1: I was more popping back then. It's all bullshit. So
- 24:50Speaker 1: I just stay for me. I've made a decision. I
- 24:53Speaker 1: only care. I also don't want someone on the other
- 24:56Speaker 1: side of the world to influence my day. I don't.
- 24:59Speaker 1: They don't know me, I don't know them. So I
- 25:00Speaker 1: made another choice where I was like, I'm only going
- 25:03Speaker 1: to deal with the opinions of the people in the
- 25:06Speaker 1: room with me or my friends and family, those people
- 25:08Speaker 1: I would care about if I'm being a physical presence
- 25:10Speaker 1: or a friends, but some other person writing something on
- 25:13Speaker 1: YouTube or Instagram, I don't give it. I don't give
- 25:16Speaker 1: it my headspace anymore. And some people are strong enough
- 25:19Speaker 1: to say, well, I just won't look I wasn't. I
- 25:21Speaker 1: had to just look myself in the mirror and say,
- 25:23Speaker 1: you're too much of a pussy Chris, you need to
- 25:26Speaker 1: get rid of it. So I just I didn't delete
- 25:28Speaker 1: it because I you know, again, it's a ticket selling
- 25:30Speaker 1: out there, it's part of your but I don't have
- 25:32Speaker 1: any access to it. So like, if you DM me
- 25:35Speaker 1: people in my life who you know, communicating with, who
- 25:37Speaker 1: do have my number? Like, yo, are you mad at me?
- 25:39Speaker 1: You don't respond to my dms anymore? I'm like, bro,
- 25:41Speaker 1: you gotta text me. I don't have any information. I
- 25:44Speaker 1: don't even have a way into that anymore. And you know,
- 25:47Speaker 1: I know that you know that not everybody has to
- 25:50Speaker 1: do that, But for me, I've only seen positive change
- 25:54Speaker 1: since I've gotten less, like less on social media and
- 25:59Speaker 1: more focusing on the people in front of me. Yeah.
- 26:02Speaker 1: The screen time thing, when you look at your screen time,
- 26:05Speaker 1: it's kind of like a rude awakening you're life. Fuck,
- 26:09Speaker 1: I said, how much time looking at this fucking thing? Yeah? Yeah,
- 26:13Speaker 1: it's crazy. Yeah, and you know it's weird. It's because
- 26:15Speaker 1: it's like, you know, my head is up more, I'm
- 26:18Speaker 1: looking around more. You know, there's been times where you know,
- 26:24Speaker 1: I would even see somebody's you know, a peer of minds,
- 26:27Speaker 1: a great video that they posted or whatever, and I'm like,
- 26:30Speaker 1: I'll call my guy right away, Like yo, we gotta
- 26:32Speaker 1: make something, like you know, and then that making something, yeah,
- 26:36Speaker 1: maybe would have pushed things a little further or maybe not.
- 26:39Speaker 1: But in order to make that, I then would have
- 26:42Speaker 1: to skip out on dinner with my family. Where now
- 26:44Speaker 1: I do my work for the day, I spent my
- 26:47Speaker 1: time and then it's done, and then I and then
- 26:49Speaker 1: whatever happens happens, like whatever it may be may be
- 26:52Speaker 1: because I'm like, you know, you only get one spin
- 26:54Speaker 1: around this planet. So I'm like, I'm like, I don't
- 26:56Speaker 1: want to. The thing that I know you'll never get
- 26:59Speaker 1: back is time. And especially you know, for those of us,
- 27:01Speaker 1: of our children, I'm like, I'm never gonna get They'll
- 27:04Speaker 1: never be little again. There will be a time where
- 27:05Speaker 1: they don't they don't want us. Yeah, they're gonna be
- 27:08Speaker 1: like you're gross, go away, you're cringey. Yeah. And I'm like, listen,
- 27:11Speaker 1: you got hot friends, man, you know, like they're nineteen,
- 27:16Speaker 1: bring them over. Yeah, no, no, no, no, but but
- 27:19Speaker 1: but so right now though, I mean listen, and of
- 27:21Speaker 1: course it's like, you know, you gotta work. I'm happy
- 27:23Speaker 1: to work. My my career makes me happy. You know,
- 27:25Speaker 1: you got we have to be happy first, So we
- 27:27Speaker 1: can make the rest of our families happy. But I
- 27:30Speaker 1: right now, I'm just like yeah, man, like I uh,
- 27:34Speaker 1: you know, I pick and choose what it is I
- 27:36Speaker 1: want to do and and uh. But the getting off
- 27:39Speaker 1: social media has helped me like tremendously. I genuinely in
- 27:43Speaker 1: my heart believe that whatever it is, fifty years from now,
- 27:48Speaker 1: social media will be looked at as toxic and cancerus
- 27:52Speaker 1: as smoking cigarettes were back in the day. Like I
- 27:55Speaker 1: think it's I think it's a similar thing. It's a
- 27:56Speaker 1: different thing. It's not causing lung cancer, right, but it
- 27:59Speaker 1: is causing a decay in society. And I would a
- 28:03Speaker 1: laser depression depression I cannot. I would. I would imagine
- 28:07Speaker 1: I would be willing to bet everything that suicide rates
- 28:10Speaker 1: being as high as av ours is directly linked to
- 28:13Speaker 1: social media. And I think that the people at these
- 28:16Speaker 1: social media companies know that. And I think that it's
- 28:19Speaker 1: you know, it's it's an algorithm. It's they're feeding on
- 28:22Speaker 1: our our social capabilities. Is it's money to them, so
- 28:26Speaker 1: that they they're they're they're gambling on you know what
- 28:29Speaker 1: we're gonna are, you know, predicting our moves and making
- 28:31Speaker 1: money off it. So I get it, but I don't
- 28:34Speaker 1: want to be a part of it anymore, you know,
- 28:36Speaker 1: or as little of a stop man. Yeah, what, I
- 28:38Speaker 1: kill myself tonight. Just blow my head off, Jesus yo,
- 28:45Speaker 1: let me Because so you're a white man who's with
- 28:48Speaker 1: a Puerto Rican link. I'm a biological white male. Yes,
- 28:51Speaker 1: so am I talk to. I don't have a lot
- 28:53Speaker 1: of people who I can relate to go into the Latin,
- 28:56Speaker 1: the Latino my wife's side of the family's family events, parties,
- 29:00Speaker 1: and being the only white guy there. Yes, and like
- 29:03Speaker 1: you're kind of like Kevin, Yeah, it's it's. Here's the thing.
- 29:08Speaker 1: It's one of those things where, you know, a lot
- 29:10Speaker 1: of times the family speaking Spanish most of the time,
- 29:14Speaker 1: including my seven year old daughter, will just start talking
- 29:16Speaker 1: to me sometimes in Spanish and I'm like, did you
- 29:18Speaker 1: just have a stroke? I don't know what you're saying
- 29:20Speaker 1: at all, and and uh and you know, getting used
- 29:25Speaker 1: to the culture and the food, you know, the first time,
- 29:29Speaker 1: the first time I ever had by aa uh yes,
- 29:35Speaker 1: and yeah that and and and uh what's uh ben
- 29:40Speaker 1: the pork that was? I mean, I loved it delicious,
- 29:43Speaker 1: but I genuinely ship blood. And because my Germanic GI
- 29:48Speaker 1: system was like, what did you just do? Did you
- 29:51Speaker 1: just We've never seen this. We can process it. We
- 29:54Speaker 1: need to bleed, we need to bleed. But it's the
- 29:59Speaker 1: food is so good that you just go back for more.
- 30:02Speaker 1: And I gotta be honest, man, I've love the Latino
- 30:05Speaker 1: culture so much. Always happy, yeah, you know, always vibrant, dancing,
- 30:11Speaker 1: you know, best food, hottest world, tit tats. I love it. Yeah,
- 30:16Speaker 1: you know everybody you know, the most beautiful women in
- 30:20Speaker 1: the world. To me, literally, I would say the most
- 30:23Speaker 1: beautiful women and men. My girls family are just the
- 30:27Speaker 1: hottest people either gender I've ever. They even have hot pets.
- 30:31Speaker 1: I'm like, dude, I want to fuck your dog. I mean,
- 30:37Speaker 1: what up you all? We gotta stop the interview real quick.
- 30:39Speaker 1: Tell you about our good friends at my bookie. That's right, man.
- 30:41Speaker 1: My bookie is where you want to get this money
- 30:43Speaker 1: and enjoy being a degenerate like myself. And it's the
- 30:48Speaker 1: best time of the year to be a degenerate because
- 30:50Speaker 1: NFL season is obviously we are in the midst of
- 30:53Speaker 1: a crazy NFL season, NBA season just started. World Series
- 30:57Speaker 1: is going down, and you can get your bets in
- 31:00Speaker 1: right now go to my bookie and sign up for
- 31:02Speaker 1: a new account using the promo code Bootleg. That's b
- 31:06Speaker 1: oot l eg. You sign up right now. They will
- 31:10Speaker 1: match your first deposit. That's right. Put in a thousand. Oh,
- 31:14Speaker 1: they'll give you another thousand to gamble with. That's free money,
- 31:17Speaker 1: free money to gamble with. Let's get in on this action, man,
- 31:21Speaker 1: NFL season. I'm loving this part of the year so
- 31:25Speaker 1: much good, just everything to bet on football, basketball, fucking UFC, NFL, baseball, whatever.
- 31:32Speaker 1: Now is the best time to get your gamble on.
- 31:34Speaker 1: So go sign up for a new account at my bookie,
- 31:37Speaker 1: use that promo code Bootleg, and double your deposit. Let's
- 31:40Speaker 1: get back to the interview. Obviously, like Latins are pretty conservative.
- 31:45Speaker 1: Do any of your girls family ever seen in your
- 31:47Speaker 1: comedy and like hit her up about it and be like, yo,
- 31:49Speaker 1: what's wrong with them? Like, oh, yeah, yeah, well that's
- 31:52Speaker 1: it's you know, see that's the thing. Well, because you're
- 31:55Speaker 1: obviously heavily in the music game, it's an interesting thing. Society.
- 31:59Speaker 1: Comics talk at this. When I think about this a lot,
- 32:01Speaker 1: it's like a comic, right, will get scrutinized for word,
- 32:05Speaker 1: you know, this joke or that joke or you know,
- 32:08Speaker 1: Kevin Hart a homophobe tweet, can't holst the oscar or whatever.
- 32:12Speaker 1: But then on that same show they have like eminem
- 32:16Speaker 1: On who does rap lyrics about killing his ex wife
- 32:18Speaker 1: and put a ripping. So you're like, how come rap
- 32:22Speaker 1: gets a pass and and and comics don't. It's it's
- 32:25Speaker 1: this thing in society that no one can really explain,
- 32:29Speaker 1: and I think that it's interesting, Like you know, like
- 32:33Speaker 1: like sometimes I feel like yo, as as as a
- 32:36Speaker 1: white guy, sometimes I'm like yo, man, especially in this
- 32:39Speaker 1: like if I say anything, oh, homophobe, You're a racist,
- 32:42Speaker 1: and I'm like yo. Honestly, the most homophobic racist people
- 32:45Speaker 1: I've ever met my life are not white, dude. They
- 32:48Speaker 1: are Latino and black. Some of the Latino and black
- 32:52Speaker 1: people i've met him like, well, are you a Nazi?
- 32:55Speaker 1: You can't say that, you know, but it's true. You're
- 32:58Speaker 1: so right. No, It's like, I'm like, but I'm the
- 33:01Speaker 1: fucking bad guy. I'm like, holy shit, Like you can't.
- 33:05Speaker 1: You can't. Most homophobic people in my life are definitely
- 33:08Speaker 1: people of color. Yeah, a who hundred percent, dude. Some
- 33:11Speaker 1: of the shit that I've heard at family barbecues on
- 33:13Speaker 1: my girl. So and I'm like, I literally I want
- 33:16Speaker 1: to call my sanatar. I'm like, I'm like, I'm gonna
- 33:19Speaker 1: I'm contacting the police. But you know, I'm the one
- 33:23Speaker 1: with fucking Hitler head, so I'd be in trouble for it.
- 33:26Speaker 1: But I'm like, but I'm like, yo, But it's one
- 33:30Speaker 1: of those things where but see, that's the thing. That's
- 33:33Speaker 1: the thing I think too, is you know, getting you know,
- 33:36Speaker 1: dating outside your race, you realize, you know, yes, racism race,
- 33:40Speaker 1: I understand that, but it's really tribalism, that's what it is.
- 33:43Speaker 1: It's like people want to just they feel safe with
- 33:46Speaker 1: people that look like that and sound like them and
- 33:48Speaker 1: come through the same struggles as them. So that's why
- 33:50Speaker 1: you know, you'll have I believe, like you know, say,
- 33:54Speaker 1: like you know, sometimes you have like Latino people that
- 33:56Speaker 1: like say the N word, and you'll have a white person,
- 33:58Speaker 1: Well how come they can say the ndword and I can't, Like, Well,
- 34:00Speaker 1: because the Latino and black struggle is very similar in
- 34:03Speaker 1: this country, where the white struggle is different. So that's why.
- 34:05Speaker 1: So it's a tribalism. They've become a tribe where they've said, hey,
- 34:08Speaker 1: this it's always a white person that's that's mad about it.
- 34:11Speaker 1: Always Yeah, yeah, it's a white lady, yes thirty seven, Yeah,
- 34:15Speaker 1: I got a few cats. Yeah, well, I like it's funny,
- 34:17Speaker 1: like as like, I guess because I, you know, have
- 34:19Speaker 1: Aleena Latino culture. I always think that too. I'm like,
- 34:22Speaker 1: why do white people care? I'm like, just dude, I
- 34:24Speaker 1: want to tell white people just shut the fuck up.
- 34:26Speaker 1: It's that guilt shit, right, Yeah, dude, It's not your
- 34:29Speaker 1: job to police everybody's feelings. I'm like, just shut up. Yeah,
- 34:34Speaker 1: you're not the bar of what what's offensive? Yeah, like
- 34:38Speaker 1: if a white person is more offended than the person
- 34:40Speaker 1: the joke's actually about, Like it's probably a good joke. Yeah,
- 34:44Speaker 1: it's it's it's it's one of those you know, it's funny.
- 34:47Speaker 1: I was in an and it's crazy and I didn't
- 34:50Speaker 1: make I didn't say anything, but I was about to
- 34:54Speaker 1: like make like a bit about it, so so in
- 34:57Speaker 1: the room. So literally I was in you know swag right,
- 35:00Speaker 1: what great friend of mine Sway is Like I hosted
- 35:03Speaker 1: a show in twenty fourteen on MTV with Sway. I
- 35:06Speaker 1: was the cat. Nobody watched it, but it was called
- 35:07Speaker 1: off the bat. But Anyway, Sway taught me so much
- 35:10Speaker 1: knowledge about like hosting the show and being on camera
- 35:12Speaker 1: and just being in this world. Sway is like, I
- 35:15Speaker 1: love Sway. I think he might be the father of
- 35:17Speaker 1: my youngest kid and and I love it. Please you know,
- 35:21Speaker 1: she misses you so so Sway. Sway is the best.
- 35:28Speaker 1: But I remember I was in Sway in the Morning, yeah,
- 35:30Speaker 1: you know, as a guest on on his series show
- 35:33Speaker 1: when the whole Esse Smolette Oh thing broke right and
- 35:37Speaker 1: I was in there, white guy, you know, you know,
- 35:39Speaker 1: all black casts everybody, and they're and they're they're they're
- 35:44Speaker 1: just Slett and Tracy's reading it and she's like, you know,
- 35:47Speaker 1: and it's horrible, and it's like that fucking energy in
- 35:50Speaker 1: there is like oh shit. And then they say they're like,
- 35:53Speaker 1: you know, uh, Jesse Smolette was was you know, attacked
- 35:57Speaker 1: beaten by two white you know that they were saying
- 36:00Speaker 1: time two white men and they were like, you know,
- 36:03Speaker 1: you know, they they threw acid at him and a
- 36:05Speaker 1: news and they say, you must be you're that You're
- 36:08Speaker 1: that guy from Empire, you know whatever, You're that those
- 36:11Speaker 1: rednecks wash Empire. You're that guy from Empire, and so
- 36:13Speaker 1: at that point I was about to say I don't
- 36:16Speaker 1: think that's real because no white people watch Empire, and
- 36:20Speaker 1: and then I didn't say it. And if I would
- 36:23Speaker 1: have said it, then it would I would have been
- 36:25Speaker 1: like thrown down street and eyes I like gotten canceled.
- 36:27Speaker 1: What Literally? I would have been right wou right, because
- 36:31Speaker 1: when I heard that story, I was like, everything, everything
- 36:33Speaker 1: checks out, but not that yeah, because my comic mind
- 36:36Speaker 1: was like anybody with the maga hats not watching an Empire. Yeah,
- 36:40Speaker 1: I was like, this is a hoax, but you know,
- 36:42Speaker 1: it was funny like and sometimes I'm like, yoah, I
- 36:45Speaker 1: should have just did the joke man on a comic.
- 36:47Speaker 1: But then I was like, yoh, I love sway and
- 36:48Speaker 1: that it cost you your friendship for a few minutes.
- 36:50Speaker 1: You did it, yeah, exactly what it costed my friendship
- 36:52Speaker 1: for about six months. And I'd be like, come on,
- 36:54Speaker 1: come on, you know right yeah yeah, but but but
- 36:57Speaker 1: it was one of those things where I remember that
- 36:59Speaker 1: moment being like yo uh, but but yeah, man, I
- 37:03Speaker 1: think too. With comedy, you know, it's the beautiful thing
- 37:06Speaker 1: about being a comic is my show's man. I got it.
- 37:09Speaker 1: The thing that one of the things I'm most proud of.
- 37:10Speaker 1: It's very culturally diverse arty. It's like a community college.
- 37:13Speaker 1: When you come to my shows. Everybody's out there, all
- 37:16Speaker 1: different religions, races. It's it's dope. So because I think,
- 37:19Speaker 1: you know, comedy is one of those things where it's
- 37:21Speaker 1: like we just go up there confident with the jokes.
- 37:23Speaker 1: Comedy is not supposed like when people get mad at comics,
- 37:27Speaker 1: there's such fucking nerds because it's like the comic is
- 37:30Speaker 1: the member of society. It's supposed to say the thing
- 37:32Speaker 1: sposed to anything nobody else could say, because it's an outlet.
- 37:35Speaker 1: That's why we do it in dark, dingy basements. I'm
- 37:37Speaker 1: not telling you go tell your friends at the water cooler,
- 37:39Speaker 1: fucking dummy. But you know, like so so I think
- 37:42Speaker 1: though for the most part too, at least with comics.
- 37:45Speaker 1: You know, if it's just words, actions, aren't you know
- 37:48Speaker 1: u uh, you know, you do some criminal shit that's
- 37:51Speaker 1: the eyes of the law. But comics with words, I
- 37:53Speaker 1: think it's happening less and less with the quote unquote
- 37:55Speaker 1: cancel stuff because it's like, yo, we're coming. In my opinion,
- 37:58Speaker 1: you cannot be funny and hateful, like you're one of
- 38:03Speaker 1: the other. Like you know, Hitler wasn't funny, Chase all hate.
- 38:06Speaker 1: So it's like if you're funny and and and the
- 38:08Speaker 1: joke comes off wrong. That's why comedy is subjective. It
- 38:11Speaker 1: may not be for you. That's fine. It's intent based.
- 38:14Speaker 1: It's like, what was your intent with It wasn't to
- 38:16Speaker 1: like be hatefuler to be r hurt feelings. It was
- 38:19Speaker 1: to make light of something everyone's thinking about anyway. Yeah,
- 38:22Speaker 1: because you got to understand too, man, like any big uprising,
- 38:25Speaker 1: you know, I love here's a big history fan. You
- 38:28Speaker 1: cannot you know, like silence comics and artists. You can't
- 38:31Speaker 1: do that because I'm telling you when it comes down
- 38:34Speaker 1: to it, like you know, in the Holocaust, you know
- 38:37Speaker 1: they killed the artists in comic they killed them first
- 38:39Speaker 1: because they don't want you know, they don't these regime
- 38:42Speaker 1: doesn't want people talking and open you know, dialogue like
- 38:46Speaker 1: we have what we have in this country right now
- 38:48Speaker 1: is such a beautiful thing. You can you can, we
- 38:50Speaker 1: can have differences of opinions, you know, we all that stuff,
- 38:53Speaker 1: you know, like like this discourse. That's like fine, but
- 38:57Speaker 1: these groups of people that want to you know, like,
- 38:59Speaker 1: you know, they'll say silence is violence unless I speak
- 39:02Speaker 1: up and say what you don't want me to say,
- 39:04Speaker 1: then you try to silence me. So the premise of
- 39:06Speaker 1: it doesn't make any sense to me. It never did,
- 39:08Speaker 1: so I'm like, so I'm like, as a comic, I'm like, yo,
- 39:11Speaker 1: we got to all just keep talking about whatever it
- 39:13Speaker 1: is you want to talk about because you need us,
- 39:16Speaker 1: you know, just like we need musicians and all that,
- 39:18Speaker 1: and the people try to silence like, I don't know why.
- 39:20Speaker 1: At times, politicians, you know, will get you know, comics
- 39:24Speaker 1: will get treated like politicians, and politicians will get treated
- 39:28Speaker 1: like comics, like as a comic, that's true, you know,
- 39:30Speaker 1: it's I mean, think about the Trump shit he got
- 39:34Speaker 1: the past, like he was a comedian for so much
- 39:36Speaker 1: of the shit he said, yeah, and then there'll be
- 39:38Speaker 1: comedians around that same time that Kevin Hart thing has yeah,
- 39:41Speaker 1: where it's like wait, which one is which? Yeah, Like
- 39:44Speaker 1: like it's almost like this this little like defect in
- 39:47Speaker 1: society where it's like what you're attacking like the wrong people? Man,
- 39:51Speaker 1: Like I'm a comic, I'm not I'm not trying. I
- 39:54Speaker 1: don't have anything to do with Congress like, you know,
- 39:56Speaker 1: but but the the people had something to do Congress,
- 39:58Speaker 1: like you said, the free So it's just been an
- 40:01Speaker 1: interesting thing. But that's why. But I think, you know, again,
- 40:04Speaker 1: turning to an audience and a fan base that just
- 40:07Speaker 1: likes what I do, it's almost like, well, you know,
- 40:10Speaker 1: I think this idea of being generically famous isn't realistic anymore,
- 40:15Speaker 1: Like you're not good, We're too much of a niche society. Now.
- 40:19Speaker 1: I think the same with music and comedy and movies.
- 40:22Speaker 1: It's like, you know, it's it's only for a certain
- 40:24Speaker 1: group of people, but go for that. I mean, you know, now,
- 40:27Speaker 1: these movies that win you know, Oscars, most somebody's never
- 40:31Speaker 1: seen them or we don't know, you know, you you
- 40:33Speaker 1: don't know. Yeah, they'll announced the best pictures of the year,
- 40:35Speaker 1: and I'm like, I've never because it's because it's not
- 40:37Speaker 1: for us. It's for that niche, right, you know. Right, So,
- 40:41Speaker 1: so so it's an interesting, interesting thing. How did you
- 40:44Speaker 1: end up linking up with I'm a huge Impractical Jokers fan.
- 40:47Speaker 1: The best me and my son's like favorite show since
- 40:50Speaker 1: like season one, since I remember watching Impractical Jokers when
- 40:54Speaker 1: my kid was like eight, and now he's like seventeen. Yeah,
- 40:56Speaker 1: I've seen probably every episode. Yeah, and when Sal started
- 41:01Speaker 1: doing the podcast thing, I loved it. And yeah, you
- 41:04Speaker 1: guys obviously have a great dynamic. How did you guys
- 41:06Speaker 1: link up? So we started hey babe about two years ago.
- 41:11Speaker 1: We were been for so Sal. You know, Impractical Jokers
- 41:14Speaker 1: was huge, and then Sal So Sally used to run
- 41:16Speaker 1: a show at this place on Staten Island called Cargo,
- 41:19Speaker 1: where he was not dude, He hadn't even made Impractical
- 41:21Speaker 1: Jokers that he was literally the bar owner and bartender
- 41:24Speaker 1: that ran a comedy show. And all us comics would
- 41:27Speaker 1: come to his comedy show and be like, Yo, this
- 41:29Speaker 1: guy's great, and then all of a sudden, I'm nowhere
- 41:30Speaker 1: went They were like, is that the guy that owns Cargo?
- 41:33Speaker 1: He has a TV show? Like you don't men know
- 41:34Speaker 1: he did comedy? Yeah, and then and then and then
- 41:37Speaker 1: he comes out obviously hit show. Say with me, I
- 41:40Speaker 1: mean my kids that you're young, but I watched that
- 41:42Speaker 1: show and die laughing. I would watch it with my dad.
- 41:44Speaker 1: Good it's well, I mean it's because a lot of times,
- 41:46Speaker 1: like you know, we of course we always support our
- 41:48Speaker 1: friends in comedy. They got a Netflix show whatever, and
- 41:50Speaker 1: we watch it, you know, to give him the views
- 41:52Speaker 1: and whatever help. But Impractical Jokers is like, I genuinely
- 41:55Speaker 1: watch it because I'm like, this makes me feel better
- 41:57Speaker 1: about my day when I can just laugh at and
- 41:59Speaker 1: you can watch it with any Yeah yeah, yeah, you know,
- 42:01Speaker 1: it's not like back in the day when I was
- 42:03Speaker 1: like in high school, Like I couldn't watch Jackass with
- 42:05Speaker 1: my parents, No, no no, no, I could Watchhi Practical Jokers. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 42:08Speaker 1: That's mostly who I watch it with is my parents,
- 42:09Speaker 1: and you know, we get along. But but sal in
- 42:12Speaker 1: twenty fourteen, I was doing a show at at Caroline's
- 42:16Speaker 1: and he came and and you know, we we we
- 42:19Speaker 1: knew each other just through social media, but then we
- 42:21Speaker 1: started to like actually become friends and we hung would
- 42:25Speaker 1: hang out all the time, you know, he would always
- 42:26Speaker 1: throw the big Super Bowl party at his house and
- 42:28Speaker 1: would see him all the time. And then he started
- 42:30Speaker 1: doing stand up, you know, and then as he started
- 42:32Speaker 1: doing stand up, we started I started see him at
- 42:34Speaker 1: the clubs, and you know, he's become like this great
- 42:37Speaker 1: stand up now. And then two years ago we were
- 42:42Speaker 1: just like, you know, pandemic happ and we're like Yo.
- 42:44Speaker 1: We we hang out like every weekend and just talk
- 42:46Speaker 1: shit for six hours and die lafting. Why don't we
- 42:48Speaker 1: just make this a pod? Yeah? Why are you going
- 42:49Speaker 1: to make this a pod? Yeah? And then we just
- 42:51Speaker 1: did it, you know, found the place, did it, and
- 42:54Speaker 1: and you know, and now it literally doing hey babe,
- 42:57Speaker 1: you know Chrissy Chaos. I love doing but you know,
- 42:59Speaker 1: it's all on me. It's it's like it's usually just
- 43:02Speaker 1: me or or or you know, a lot of times
- 43:04Speaker 1: you don't have a guest. And I love doing it.
- 43:05Speaker 1: I have fun, but it's a lot of work where
- 43:07Speaker 1: hey Babe is literally just we go in there where
- 43:09Speaker 1: most of the time ninety nine percent of the time
- 43:11Speaker 1: no plan other than hey, we're going to catch up
- 43:15Speaker 1: on camra on camera, and that's what it is. So
- 43:18Speaker 1: so that that's that literally, that podcast literally is Salinized
- 43:22Speaker 1: Friendship since twenty fourteen, just on display. That's all it is.
- 43:26Speaker 1: When Joe leaves the show, do the fans like start
- 43:30Speaker 1: this this this campaign to maybe the fourth guy. I
- 43:33Speaker 1: got so many messages my agent got. It was constant,
- 43:36Speaker 1: like Chris, Chris, Chris. And then I spoke to sal
- 43:38Speaker 1: about it, and I said to sal I said the
- 43:41Speaker 1: beauty of and he of course agreed. And they you know,
- 43:43Speaker 1: the plan that they have now is working where they
- 43:45Speaker 1: get like posting guests. Yeah, that method, man, and that
- 43:49Speaker 1: that works beautiful because the thing is like, you know,
- 43:52Speaker 1: these these networks would try to recreate in practical jokers
- 43:56Speaker 1: and because it was such a mega hit. The reason
- 43:57Speaker 1: why it was a mega hit is because their friendship
- 44:00Speaker 1: started at fourteen years old, right, So don't throw someone
- 44:03Speaker 1: like me in or another one of you know, our
- 44:05Speaker 1: comedy peers. I'm not friendship and the same chemistry, thirty
- 44:09Speaker 1: years of chemistry that cannot be duplicated by anyone else
- 44:12Speaker 1: unless there's four group of friends that have that mindset
- 44:15Speaker 1: that so you can't just reproduce that that is their
- 44:18Speaker 1: friendship on display that I'm not a part of. So
- 44:21Speaker 1: it's like the way they're doing it now is just
- 44:22Speaker 1: to have an outside guy in just once in a while.
- 44:25Speaker 1: That's cool. It's it's the smart that's cool. I hope
- 44:28Speaker 1: Joe ens up coming coming back. He's so on TikTok.
- 44:31Speaker 1: I know, dude, he's the best on TikTok, the best. Yeah,
- 44:34Speaker 1: Joe Joe is I mean, he was my favorite. Yeah it, Madiac.
- 44:40Speaker 1: You know what's crazy too about you know, being with
- 44:41Speaker 1: Sal because I I used to open for Sal. I
- 44:43Speaker 1: would open for Sal a lot over the last few years.
- 44:47Speaker 1: But you know now now we both do our own
- 44:49Speaker 1: headline things. But but but Sal, you know what I
- 44:52Speaker 1: would be with him? It's crazy how like you know,
- 44:55Speaker 1: he would have all his fans, Like it almost feels
- 44:57Speaker 1: like all four of them each have the same amount fans,
- 45:00Speaker 1: but they're all different groups of people, Like you got
- 45:02Speaker 1: the Q fans, You've got the Murph fans, You've got
- 45:04Speaker 1: the Soald fans, you got the Joe fans. They all
- 45:06Speaker 1: collectively love all four of them. But it's like, you know,
- 45:09Speaker 1: ten million people love Sal, ten love Joe ten love.
- 45:12Speaker 1: It's it's like a wild thing, how like their their
- 45:14Speaker 1: fame is literally split four ways evenly. It's also like
- 45:19Speaker 1: it's pretty wild that like, somehow they have had the
- 45:22Speaker 1: biggest comedy series. I don't know, it feels like in
- 45:26Speaker 1: a long time. It is. This is a fact in
- 45:29Speaker 1: the top five biggest comedy shows of all time, including Seinfeld,
- 45:33Speaker 1: they have while they're the arena tours, the cruise and
- 45:39Speaker 1: somehow I feel like they don't get the respect or
- 45:44Speaker 1: or the like recognition that they deserve. Yeah, it's it's
- 45:48Speaker 1: one of I think it's because like what I noticed,
- 45:51Speaker 1: like when when people come up to Sound the airport
- 45:53Speaker 1: and all that. First of all, you know, he gets
- 45:55Speaker 1: mobbed and and and but he gets mobbed in a
- 45:58Speaker 1: way that because they and they are but because on
- 46:02Speaker 1: the show especially, they do such an amazing job of
- 46:04Speaker 1: coming off like we're just four regular guys like yours.
- 46:07Speaker 1: Like you would just come up to sal and be like,
- 46:10Speaker 1: I love you man, Is this a joke or touchy
- 46:13Speaker 1: or whatever, because that's just one of the guys. Wow.
- 46:14Speaker 1: We would do that to Kevin Hark because there's a
- 46:16Speaker 1: wall you're like, no, it's a movie story, you know,
- 46:19Speaker 1: or the rock or something like that, where Sally You're like, oh,
- 46:21Speaker 1: I just saw him. He was just he was giving
- 46:23Speaker 1: somebody who went story. Yeah. Yeah. Like so so it's
- 46:26Speaker 1: this fame that's like, it's it's very different. And I
- 46:30Speaker 1: think that aspect of it causes sometimes these you know,
- 46:33Speaker 1: media conglomerates to like like they should be winning all
- 46:36Speaker 1: the Comedy Emmys and all that their shows are the biggest,
- 46:39Speaker 1: the funniest, you know, so so, but but listen, you know,
- 46:43Speaker 1: I can promise you that them practical jokers are doing
- 46:46Speaker 1: very well. Yeah, have you done it? Have you done
- 46:47Speaker 1: the cruise yet? I did the cruise. I did the
- 46:49Speaker 1: cruise in February of twenty twenty when literally the same
- 46:53Speaker 1: cruise right, a boat that left the same time as
- 46:56Speaker 1: us from a couple of bays down starting COVID. They
- 46:59Speaker 1: got locked on the boat in whatever their destination was
- 47:02Speaker 1: for three weeks. They were on the same day you
- 47:05Speaker 1: dodged a fucking dodge a COVID bullet. Geez. Yeah, but
- 47:08Speaker 1: it was fun. So I did the last one. I
- 47:10Speaker 1: don't know if the cruise industry is even coming back.
- 47:12Speaker 1: I don't know if they're gonna do another one. You know,
- 47:14Speaker 1: I've never been on a cruise, and there's just something
- 47:16Speaker 1: about Yeah, it's just it's just to me, it's like,
- 47:19Speaker 1: why would I go trap myself on a boat for
- 47:22Speaker 1: six hundred dollars for a week. Well, it was interesting
- 47:24Speaker 1: because you know, the rooms or one of the rooms
- 47:28Speaker 1: that I was in, had a GP had the boat's
- 47:30Speaker 1: GPS in it by one of the teams, and you
- 47:32Speaker 1: went from Miami to the Bahamas. But that trip only
- 47:35Speaker 1: takes like six hours, but you're in the middle of
- 47:38Speaker 1: the sea for three days, so it literally is just
- 47:40Speaker 1: making circles and going up and down and left and
- 47:43Speaker 1: right for a day. I'm like, this is so dumb.
- 47:46Speaker 1: You're killing all these fish, like this is dumb, and
- 47:49Speaker 1: these people are just eating on the buffet, like just
- 47:53Speaker 1: just hoarding all this food. And yeah, no, it was.
- 47:57Speaker 1: It was one of those things where I was like,
- 47:58Speaker 1: you know, of course happy to do it, but I
- 48:00Speaker 1: was like, one of those things, I'm happy I experienced it.
- 48:02Speaker 1: Don't know that I've never taking a wife and kids
- 48:04Speaker 1: on one of these No, they don't want to go. No,
- 48:06Speaker 1: they know that when we no, no, I take them
- 48:08Speaker 1: to Puerto Rico, and then that's fun. The last time
- 48:11Speaker 1: we went to Puerto Rico, I thought I was gonna

- 50:00Speaker 1: get back to the interview. Go to butchoo dot com.
- 50:02Speaker 1: Promo call boot Leg, that's it. I literally was like,
- 50:05Speaker 1: you know, we're in a Puerto Rican village. Everyone's looking
- 50:08Speaker 1: at me like we've never seen a gringo, Like who
- 50:09Speaker 1: is this guy? Yeah? They were like holy so because
- 50:12Speaker 1: we went to her families from Adaseebo, which is like
- 50:14Speaker 1: in the mountains. Yeah, so it was like there's no
- 50:17Speaker 1: tourists there. They were like I was the white guy
- 50:20Speaker 1: that was They were like, what the fuck are you
- 50:22Speaker 1: nobody spoke English or they spoke English, but it was
- 50:24Speaker 1: like some of the houses didn't have electricity since the
- 50:27Speaker 1: last hurricane. I was like, babe, can we just go
- 50:29Speaker 1: back to San Juan. Yeah. I would just be asking
- 50:32Speaker 1: everybody be like, hey, so you guys really don't pay taxes?
- 50:34Speaker 1: Huh yeah, yeah nothing. I was like Berni Berni. I
- 50:37Speaker 1: just kept saying Berni acapuia, like different foods. Was there
- 50:43Speaker 1: any Once you started bringing guests on your show, was
- 50:47Speaker 1: your wife like a little more hesitant to have you
- 50:49Speaker 1: have people just pull up to your krid. So what
- 50:52Speaker 1: happened was is we had great guest. His name was
- 50:55Speaker 1: John Alight wrote a book. He was like on a
- 50:59Speaker 1: John Gott. He's like henchman, right, like beat people to
- 51:02Speaker 1: death with a baseball bat right at your house at
- 51:04Speaker 1: so And I didn't think twice about it. Yeah, I
- 51:07Speaker 1: literally can't. And Jazz, you know, she could hear from
- 51:09Speaker 1: the kitchen, like and he was being hilarious. I had
- 51:11Speaker 1: like lemon shirt on. He was like, well, fucking nice, Land,
- 51:13Speaker 1: I should hit those lemons doing I'm bat you know,
- 51:15Speaker 1: like just telling us like things. He's like, yeah, one
- 51:17Speaker 1: time I was killing a guy was kind of his body.
- 51:19Speaker 1: I had to take his shit. I shit in the woods.
- 51:20Speaker 1: And she's just like literally, our baby was like three
- 51:22Speaker 1: months old. She's like feeding the baby and then like
- 51:24Speaker 1: we're having fun. I thought it was great, like, you know,
- 51:26Speaker 1: pack up whatever. I'm like, Jazz, I mean, how great
- 51:29Speaker 1: was that? Pods going to get a fucking million views?
- 51:31Speaker 1: I mean how great was that? She was like, did
- 51:34Speaker 1: you think that it was a good idea to bring
- 51:36Speaker 1: a man who was admitted to multiple murders to our
- 51:39Speaker 1: house with our daughters? Did you think that that was
- 51:42Speaker 1: a good idea at all? And I was like, yeah,
- 51:44Speaker 1: it's for the podcast, and she was like it wasn't smart.
- 51:48Speaker 1: She goes, never ever bring a murderer to this house again,
- 51:53Speaker 1: that's a fay, that's a fair requil. I was like,
- 51:55Speaker 1: you know what, babe, I understand. I think what you say.
- 51:58Speaker 1: It is right. I'm a sleep the couch tonight and good.
- 52:02Speaker 1: But when she put it to me like that, she's like,
- 52:05Speaker 1: our daughters are six and one and you have a
- 52:08Speaker 1: murderer in their living room, yeah, where they sit and sleep,
- 52:12Speaker 1: And did you think about that at all? This is
- 52:14Speaker 1: our home? And then I was like, oh, I'll get
- 52:16Speaker 1: a podcast. Yeah, now you get the studio. Now yours
- 52:19Speaker 1: from From what I remember, I listened to your episode
- 52:21Speaker 1: with with Rogan, your dad was kind of like a
- 52:24Speaker 1: like a pretty tough guy, right, one of those like
- 52:27Speaker 1: vintage New York tough guys. Yes, back in the day.
- 52:30Speaker 1: Now he's got you know, now he's on dialysis with
- 52:32Speaker 1: two fake knees. But but but he's back in the day.
- 52:38Speaker 1: You know. I think a lot of guys, you know,
- 52:39Speaker 1: he's from the Bronx. I think a lot of guys
- 52:41Speaker 1: in the seventies, eighties, even early nineties got mixed up
- 52:45Speaker 1: with those guys, you know, gambling, right, and and and
- 52:47Speaker 1: running around and it's just an easy way to make money. Like, hey,
- 52:50Speaker 1: you know you you work for this family. You know,
- 52:52Speaker 1: go pick up this gambling debt, that gambling debt. So
- 52:54Speaker 1: you get to know those guys. Not that he was
- 52:55Speaker 1: ever a maid guy or whatever, right, but you get
- 52:57Speaker 1: to know those guys. You get to know those circles,
- 52:59Speaker 1: you know, those people. Was collecting money, yeah, collect yeah, yeah,
- 53:02Speaker 1: pretty much like his job. I would call like it
- 53:05Speaker 1: it was like a different work number every week, and
- 53:07Speaker 1: somebody would just be like accounting and it was always
- 53:09Speaker 1: like some guy, some different guy, and I I had
- 53:12Speaker 1: no idea, like so you'd have to go shake down
- 53:14Speaker 1: the business owners? Yeah, I guess yeah. Because that's the
- 53:17Speaker 1: thing with my dad is I never really asked too
- 53:19Speaker 1: many questions on what he did, but I just like
- 53:22Speaker 1: would always get I would always get like because my
- 53:25Speaker 1: parents got divorced, yeah when I was very young. Yeah,
- 53:27Speaker 1: And I would always get like kind of hints of like,
- 53:30Speaker 1: oh my mom doesn't like believe my dad or like
- 53:32Speaker 1: my dad because like I remember one time, like being
- 53:34Speaker 1: a little kid and being like dad, like you know,
- 53:37Speaker 1: like it's career day tomorrow, like what do you do
- 53:39Speaker 1: for like work? What's your job again? And like my
- 53:41Speaker 1: mom being like my mom, she was like making dinner.
- 53:44Speaker 1: She's like I'd love to see what he says now,
- 53:46Speaker 1: you know, like she's like, let's see what Tony what
- 53:49Speaker 1: bullshit he accounting? Well? No, I remember he said he goes,
- 53:53Speaker 1: I go, I go he works, And he said he goes,
- 53:55Speaker 1: he goes. Oh, Chris, I worked for the banks. And
- 53:57Speaker 1: I was like, oh, oh, you work for the bank.
- 54:00Speaker 1: So I went like the banks and they just kept like,
- 54:03Speaker 1: you know, making the spaghetti, and I was like you know,
- 54:06Speaker 1: I was like you was just like not like just
- 54:09Speaker 1: be like okay, is that why your mom divorced him? Well, dude, no,
- 54:13Speaker 1: my mom said they my mom served divorce papers to
- 54:15Speaker 1: my dad when she was pregnant with me because he gambled.
- 54:18Speaker 1: This was nineteen eighty four. I was I was born
- 54:20Speaker 1: in eighty four. Okay, so the Jordan year he was
- 54:22Speaker 1: drafted in eighty four, nineteen eighty four. There's a book
- 54:25Speaker 1: I forgot what it's I think it's called Glory Years.
- 54:27Speaker 1: It's about how wild the year nineteen eighty four was.
- 54:30Speaker 1: I haven't read it yet, but there's like a lot
- 54:32Speaker 1: of shit that went down in nineteeny four. But so
- 54:36Speaker 1: eighty four, my dad, you know, bad gambler or whatever,
- 54:41Speaker 1: took like eight thousand dollars of like my of their
- 54:44Speaker 1: like ten thousand dollars savings and bettered on like the
- 54:47Speaker 1: Montreal expos like some bullshit and random thig and they
- 54:51Speaker 1: lost and then so and then I think what happened
- 54:53Speaker 1: was is my somebody called my dad didn't pay up,
- 54:56Speaker 1: and somebody called my mom at like whatever it is,
- 54:58Speaker 1: ten pm and was like where's the money. I know
- 55:01Speaker 1: you're pregnant you don't want to fall down a flight
- 55:03Speaker 1: to stays like shit like that. And then my mom
- 55:06Speaker 1: took me to like Lancaster, Pennsylvania, like we got got
- 55:09Speaker 1: to get out of die, got out of dogs, came back,
- 55:11Speaker 1: gave birth and then I think that was like the
- 55:13Speaker 1: beginning of the end. And then uh but but but
- 55:15Speaker 1: my dad always says, he's like, you know, when you
- 55:16Speaker 1: were born like that was like that's when I feel
- 55:19Speaker 1: like I hit the lotto like that, like you. And
- 55:21Speaker 1: then he started to like slowly get out of it all.
- 55:24Speaker 1: And now I mean, I don't know anything like about
- 55:27Speaker 1: I have multiple family members on my dad's side who
- 55:31Speaker 1: were like murdered and stuff like that's like real on
- 55:34Speaker 1: the nose, mock murdered like shot like shot and killed.
- 55:38Speaker 1: Police never investigated it. So it's like you know, like
- 55:40Speaker 1: sleep with the Fishes kind of Oh yeah, So I'm
- 55:45Speaker 1: like so that stuff. I'm like, oh see, that's the
- 55:47Speaker 1: thing with like with like organized crime and all that,
- 55:49Speaker 1: like it's it's cool and romanticizing the movies and it
- 55:51Speaker 1: is it is. I get why, But when it's actually
- 55:54Speaker 1: in your family, you are like, eh, who was like
- 55:57Speaker 1: the closest relative to you that you that passed my uncle,
- 56:01Speaker 1: so my aunt's husband. But I was again a little kid,
- 56:04Speaker 1: but him and his son, my cousin was just murdered,
- 56:08Speaker 1: like shot to death at work in Long Island, New Jersey.
- 56:12Speaker 1: Fock yeah dude. Yeah. Then when you look it up,
- 56:15Speaker 1: it's like that there was no leads, no nothing, and
- 56:18Speaker 1: then it's crazy. My aunt got and this is like
- 56:21Speaker 1: a mafia thing. My aunt got I don't know for
- 56:23Speaker 1: the amount of time, but like every month behind like
- 56:26Speaker 1: one of the plants, give me money, bag of money,
- 56:29Speaker 1: because probably the family that killed him are like, well,
- 56:33Speaker 1: we gotta take care of the wife if we're gonna, yeah,
- 56:35Speaker 1: take him out. See those guys. See that's the thing,
- 56:38Speaker 1: like the mafia, the Italian mafia. I understand the extortion
- 56:43Speaker 1: and the crimes. I get it. I get why it's bad,
- 56:45Speaker 1: I really do. But there is a little bit, there's
- 56:48Speaker 1: a little code, there's a little bit of like, well
- 56:50Speaker 1: it's a little bit safer when the mafia's around. They're
- 56:53Speaker 1: not gonna Here's the thing is, Yes, it sucks. I
- 56:55Speaker 1: gotta pay this fee, this extortion fee. That sucks. But
- 56:58Speaker 1: you know what, no one's ever gonna bring to my business.
- 57:01Speaker 1: No one's ever gonna hurt my kids because if they do,
- 57:03Speaker 1: they're fucking dead. And they will not mess with you
- 57:07Speaker 1: unless you mess with them. At least the old guys
- 57:09Speaker 1: were the new people. You know. I don't know, but
- 57:12Speaker 1: the old guys, my father will always say. The only
- 57:15Speaker 1: people you gotta watch out for in this world are
- 57:17Speaker 1: mafia wannabes. The wanna bees are the guys who will
- 57:20Speaker 1: hurt you because they don't live by the code. The
- 57:21Speaker 1: guys who live by the code you never see it coming.
- 57:24Speaker 1: You just get one in the back of the head.
- 57:25Speaker 1: But they would never touch you unless you did something
- 57:29Speaker 1: to them, and they would, you know. I remember being
- 57:31Speaker 1: in Cross Bay Boulevard to Howard Beach always would have
- 57:35Speaker 1: a festival like a carnival every year, and I remember
- 57:38Speaker 1: going there on some of my dad and John Gotti
- 57:39Speaker 1: and his guys were handing out free candy to all
- 57:41Speaker 1: the kids. I was like, this guy is fucking like Jesus.
- 57:43Speaker 1: Did you did you get any candy from of course, yeah, no,
- 57:46Speaker 1: we're all with all the kids. Gave it to all
- 57:48Speaker 1: the kids. He was just John Gotti. You got some
- 57:50Speaker 1: the gott He's candy some mafia kids. Yeah, it was
- 57:52Speaker 1: like a big deal, like the kids would there's a
- 57:54Speaker 1: million kids. Did he say hi to your dad? No?
- 57:57Speaker 1: I hate it's been a while. Good to see it. No,
- 57:58Speaker 1: but you know it's funny. It's he didn't say it
- 58:00Speaker 1: to my dad. But when John Gotti died, his funeral
- 58:02Speaker 1: was in Queen's and I remember my dad was like,
- 58:05Speaker 1: you know, I lived in Queen's right, and my dad,
- 58:08Speaker 1: you know, I was a teenager by then, so it's
- 58:09Speaker 1: not like I knew his you know, whereabouts every second
- 58:12Speaker 1: of the day. But but he called me. He's like,
- 58:14Speaker 1: I'm in Queens. You want to get a slice of pizza.
- 58:16Speaker 1: I'll meet you by your mother's house. And I was like,
- 58:17Speaker 1: oh cool. And then I I remember said it was like,
- 58:19Speaker 1: why arean Queen's a guy friend died. I went to
- 58:21Speaker 1: their funeral, and I was like, oh, because I know that,
- 58:25Speaker 1: But but I never asked, like, but it could not,
- 58:28Speaker 1: it could not. It could have been coincident. I'm like, Dad, yeah,
- 58:32Speaker 1: you're on dialysis, you got two old knees or new knees. Whatever. Yeah,
- 58:37Speaker 1: let's peel back the onon. Give me some of these stories.
- 58:40Speaker 1: I know, I know, let's do a podcast. Yeah, you
- 58:43Speaker 1: know he wouldn't. That's the thing is he wouldn't say
- 58:45Speaker 1: because he's very much like, I don't want you near this, right,
- 58:47Speaker 1: you know. But it was funny when I remember that day.
- 58:50Speaker 1: He was like, I was at a friend's funeral. I
- 58:51Speaker 1: was like, oh, John Gotti. Yeah, yeah, okay, oh man,
- 58:56Speaker 1: imagine it wasn't It was just like a neighbor. Yeah,
- 58:58Speaker 1: some old you just came up with this coincidence in
- 59:01Speaker 1: your head. None of it's real. He's never in the
- 59:03Speaker 1: mom fiets like, no and no, he actually worked for
- 59:05Speaker 1: the banks, you know. He genuinely worked for Chase. Yeah,
- 59:08Speaker 1: my mother he cheated on my mom. Yeah, that's why
- 59:10Speaker 1: she just fucking she just Jesus bitter. Yeah, that's all
- 59:13Speaker 1: it is. What do you got coming up? Obviously you
- 59:17Speaker 1: had specially West She come out this year, especially WESH
- 59:20Speaker 1: on Netflix came out. That's that's still out there, And
- 59:22Speaker 1: I'm proud of that one because that was all self
- 59:24Speaker 1: produced by me. That was Netflix had actually said everybody
- 59:28Speaker 1: had said no to my special, like of me, did
- 59:30Speaker 1: you already get that made and then take it to
- 59:32Speaker 1: them pre No? So what happened was is I was
- 59:34Speaker 1: before I made it. I was trying to have people
- 59:37Speaker 1: come out watch my hour and this and that, and
- 59:39Speaker 1: everyone was just passing on me. HBO said no, Netflix
- 59:42Speaker 1: or some of them wouldn't even come out like no,
- 59:43Speaker 1: I'm not looking for that. Okay, They're like, we don't
- 59:45Speaker 1: want a straight white male right in comedy. At that point, fine,
- 59:49Speaker 1: I'm not complaining about it, but just what it was, right,
- 59:51Speaker 1: We'll find another way, no problem. But so I got
- 59:54Speaker 1: to a point where said, you know what, fuck it?
- 59:55Speaker 1: What what am I even going after these corporate corporations
- 59:58Speaker 1: from my whole mindset from day one, like I and
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: in the beginning of this podcast has been give it
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: to your fans. So I said, you know what, I'm
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: gonna put this shit on YouTube. I'm gonna self produce it.
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: Did it what with my guy Mike Lavin, the homeless
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: pimp who does all my podcasts. I said, he's going
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: to direct it, film it. We're doing it that way. Whatever,
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: So it filmed it. All these companies had said no,
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: and then my agent was like, listen, I think this
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: is a great special. Let me at least just put
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: this in Netflix's hands now that the product is finished,
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: and we'll see what they say. Day later they call
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: Netflix wants it. So I said, so I get on
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: the phone with Netflix. You know, you have to talk
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: to him, and they said, hey, you know, we want it.
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: I said great, I said, you guys can have it.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: I appreciate it, but you have to take it as is.
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: And they were like, well, at the end of the special,
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: you shit on Netflix. I was like, you have to
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: take it as is or I'm just gonna put it
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: on YouTube, and they're like, the only thing we want
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: is obviously to edit out the Netflix stuff. I said,
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: you have to take it as is. If you do not,
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: if that's edited out, then I will put it on YouTube.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: I don't care, I said. I respect Netflix, I really do.
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: I was like, my kids fucking love Cocoa Melas, but
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: I literally don't care at all if my thing is
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: on this platform, and right it's for the fans. So
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: either keep it in or I will put it on
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: YouTube in a week. It doesn't matter to me. And
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: then they were like, okay, let us check with the
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: high ups. And then the high ups stay and give
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: a fuck. They were like, just put it on as
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: is then, so so I was like, so that's what
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: it is. So if you watch my special. At the end,
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: I just I'm kind of like, you know, I did
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: this for you guys. Yeah, fucking fuck Netflix. But if
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: you guys want to buy it, I'll sell it to you. Yeah,
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: you know, like I say that at the end and
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: it's in. So I'm proud of that. And then the
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: you know, the next special. I'm going to do another
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: special in about six to eight months, but the plan
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: will be the same. Give it to the people and
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: you know, if once in, they can get in. If not,
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: it's going straight to the people. Hey, we got to

- 1:02:50Speaker 1: fucking time. Let's get back to the interview. The thing
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: is is it's like a metaphor for life too. It's
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: like there's nothing, there's nothing to get any nobody can
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: give you anything anymore like there, especially in entertainment, like
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: nobody can give you anything. You can only do it
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: yourself and put it out yourself. There's people are like, oh,
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: I want to get something, there's nothing to get You
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: have to you have to make it happen and put
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: it out. That's this is the only way. Like even now,
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: you know, take someone like like Aaron YOUW. Schultz who's
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: made his whole career and living off just putting his
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: things out. Now, the movies and TV shows come to
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: him because there was nothing they could give him. He
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: had he had to do it, and then they see,
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: oh we want that so so so that's a mindset
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: that you know, I hope my daughters don't have to
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: do comedy, but I hope they if they're gonna take
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: anything from me and be like, oh, you know, we
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: we have to create things and we have to do things.
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: There's nobody's gonna give you anything in this world. You
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: gotta you gotta make it, and then you know, let
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: somebody you know buy it from you. Last couple of things,
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: give me your all time Mount Rushmore of comedy, Mount
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: Rushmore of comedy, Mount Rushmore of Bill Burr. I like
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: Bill Burr, Louis c K, Dave Chappelle, and and you
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: know who is one of the most underrated comics of
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: Not that he's underrated, he's wildly famous, but people don't
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: know about his stand up Jamie Fox. Oh yeah, I
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: might need security, dude. That's one of my favorite stand ups, bro,
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: that is his I believe that Jamie Fox is the
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: just if we're just talking about talent across the board
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: in the arts, he is the number one most talented
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: person I've ever seen in my entire life of my
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: generation is high level acting, high level comedy, high level
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: music music. Yep. The only other person who's in that
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: conversation I think is is Chris Brown. Yes, and justin
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: Timberlake is was very good on SNL and all that,
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: and obviously you know acting. But but Chris Brown, Yeah,
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: very funny, but you know, very talented. But but for me,
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: what I mean punch mean punch, Yeah, great boxer, great boxer,
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: and dance. Yeah, can paint. I love it. He can paint.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: He's does like full murals on walls and shit. Really yeah,
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: he's autistic. He can hoop, Kenny hoop, He's like a
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: really good hooper. He can rap, he can sing. His
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: acting's okay, Jamie though, I think does the most things
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: at a high level. Yeah, Jamie Fox. To me, it's
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: just it's just he's so talented. It like it makes
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: you want to like quit, like where you're like, well,
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: I'll never be as good as him. But but but
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: but you know now I'm just like, eh again, I
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: just what about at this very moment, who do you
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: think are the funniest comedians in the world right now,
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: right now, The funniest comedians. I like Shane Gillis, He's hilarious.
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: Shane Gillis I think makes me laugh, Mark normand Mark
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: sam Morril I die laughing at. And who else? Uh,
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: Stavros Jlikas is a guy, he's great, stave baby. I
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: love bad for that guy. Every time that Ravens lose,
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: he's like melts down on fucking Instagram. You know he's
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: fuck but I know he can't get any more bald. Yeah. Uh.
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: And then and then there's a guy who I just
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: I watch his stuff and I cry laughing as a
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: Kyle Dunagan. He makes these unbelievable sketches. And then uh, yeah,
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: there's this kid, Eric Delessandro who makes these sketches on
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: Instagram at that very New York base. I really like that.
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: But yeah, those, you know, And and because you know,
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: it's hard with my peers and stand up that, you know,
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: because like we're all kind of not competing with each other,
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: but it's tough to like get in a zone that
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: just breaks down where like we can laugh because you know,
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: a comic peer of mind will make a great joke
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: and I'll be like shit, instead of laughing, I'm like
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: why did I think of that. Why don't I have
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: a premise like that. It's very difficult to separate. It's like,
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: you know, an athlete watching another athlete. Yeah, they're admiring them,
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: but they're also like, you know, I gotta step my
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: game up. It's hard to just sit back and enjoy.
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: But yeah, though I think those people are you know,
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: they just make me like Bobby Lee. He's die laughing.
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: And Bobby Lee doesn't have a special no. Yeah, Like
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: there's a lot of people say he just has been
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: doing the same like hour for like ever, you know,
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: I to be fair, I haven't seen Bobby Lee's most
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: recent stand up, but the thing is, every time I
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: see him, it's just so over the top funny that
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: even if it was the same material, I don't notice.
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: I loved the podcast like Tiger Fell. Yeah, David Tell
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: is like that. David Tell is another guy in the
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: Mount Rushmore of comics. Like David Tell and Colin Quinn
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: from the Mount Rushmore of comics to me as well.
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: But Attel only has one or two specials and Colin
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: has uh like one man shows, but only one or
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: two actual stuff that shows about history that are brilliant.
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: They're great, but it's just one man shows. So so
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: you know, it's this interesting thing where like sometimes people
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: don't put out a whole you know, a whole bunch
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: of stuff. That's that's fair. Last thing you went on
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: Rogan obviously that seems to be kind of like a
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: turning point for every comedian. Like once you get the
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: invite to Austin, you go down there and you see Joe.
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: Did you first of all, how was the experience? Did
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: he did he give you any game? And did you
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: notice kind of things uptick after? You know it's getting
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: on Rogan when I did so, It's fantastic to do Rogan.
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: I'm always do it. But it's weird that, like, you know,
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: first of all, when I met him, it was cool
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: because you know, he he asked, you know, me to
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: come on, which is different when you asked them when
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: they ask him to come on. That that's the way
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: you want it. Of course, you know, he showed me
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: his whole facility and he's like kicking He's like, you know,
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: he's like a great like boxer and kickbox He's like
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: kicking this fucking heavy bag. Like I'm like this guy
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: gonna kick my head off on the show. I'm like,
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: this is I'm intimidated, you know. He's like, this is
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: my cryo chamber. I'm like, are we going to go
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: in it? Or do you want to do pod? Like
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: it was like two hours. I'm like, this is what
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: I kill was the tour, I was like, yeah, I'm
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: a man's man, yeah, which I was like, all right,
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: I had like on a flowered shirt. I was like, well,
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: I don't know, yeah, I'm gay and and and it's interesting,
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: you know, I did the show. I did you know,
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: you know, to do I did like three and a
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: half hours with him, Like the longest I ever doing
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: a podcast is like an hour, because like what can
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: you even talk about? But for him, it's like he's
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: so good at like just keeping the convo going, like
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: you'll say something and then he's because he's listening. The
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: thing is is like you're very good at it too,
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: Like you're just like listening. You're not worried about like
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: what he's going to say, Like he's like I'm just
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: listening to you and then going off you is very natural,
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: very calming. But you know, it's it's weird. It's that
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: you know, by the time I got to do Joe Rogan.
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: You know, I had had to get my fans kind
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: of the hard way and kind of get them one
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: by one by one. So I don't know that too
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: many people heard me on Joe Rogan that didn't already
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: kind of make a decision on me whether they liked
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: me or not. Maybe I was able to get some
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: people who didn't initially like me to like me and
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: follow But I didn't notice my followers go up or
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: my ticket numbers. Really, I didn't notice it too much.
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: It kind of stayed where it's at because I think that,
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: you know, I was doing all the orbital podcasts, I
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: was doing, doing everything I was doing, So all those
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: people that listened to Rogan, they listen to these other guys,
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: so they heard me on that and by that, you know,
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: it's not like you were like like new to his
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: audience at that point. Yeah. I mean, I'm definitely was
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: new to some people, of course. But also the other
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: thing with Joe is he puts out so much content,
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: and I understand why that you get swallowed up very
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: easy in the algorithm. So it's like I was you
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: had an opportunity to listen to my three and a
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: half hours for about two days. Yeah, and then somebody
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: else for a five hour episode came up. So so
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: it's very difficult to listen to it all. I watched
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: the whole thing where I listen to it, and I
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: listened to it. It It was good. Man, there you go.
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: It's like like the story about your pops, Like I
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: think he was going to see was it your principal
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: at your school? Yeah? Yeah, that's the thing. If you
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: google Chris to Stefano nine to eleven story, it's like
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: the most viral thing I've ever done. I've did a
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: stand up bit about my time on nine to eleven.
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: You can check it out. But it's funny, like people
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: will come up to the stream like you're the nine
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: to eleven guy, right, and I'm like yeah, yeah, But
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: then people don't know what I'm talking about, Like, what
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: are you saying you're the nine to eleven guy? It
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: was you? Yeah, it was you. Tour seven was you.
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: I've been laden in white face Sarah it is. Hey, Well,
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: look I appreciate you coming through man making time. I
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: know you got your family. Appreciate it. By Man Boom
