- 1:48Speaker 3: I'm doing wonderful. Now that you're here. Oh, you're sweet,
- 1:51Speaker 3: You're You're like one of my favorite people in the building.
- 1:53Speaker 4: You know, well you are too. You today in the hallway.
- 1:58Speaker 3: What you might have to lie back to you don't
- 2:00Speaker 3: You can.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Just tell me.
- 2:02Speaker 4: I'm not a very good liar to very honest my
- 2:05Speaker 4: whole life. I've never been a good liar.
- 2:07Speaker 3: If you're not familiar with metal. Taylor Legend here in
- 2:09Speaker 3: Central Florida, has been the rock queen of Orlando for eighteen.
- 2:15Speaker 4: Well more than eighteen here here in this building.
- 2:18Speaker 3: Eighteen yes, so eighteen years as Orlando's rock radio female voice.
- 2:25Speaker 5: That.
- 2:25Speaker 3: Yeah, it is fun. You're a legend. We actually was
- 2:27Speaker 3: talking to Janny yesterday.
- 2:28Speaker 4: I know you guys had good buddy Shanna Her and
- 2:29Speaker 4: I are homie.
- 2:30Speaker 3: Yeah, she's it's the easiest one to love. I mean,
- 2:32Speaker 3: both of you guys are very easy to like a lot.
- 2:34Speaker 3: But your voice is the one that we actually talked
- 2:37Speaker 3: about this at nauseum because you guys both have a
- 2:40Speaker 3: ridiculous weight on your shoulders to provide a voice for
- 2:44Speaker 3: other radio stations within the iHeart community. And they're like
- 2:47Speaker 3: eight hundred and fifty of them or so. And I
- 2:49Speaker 3: told the story of I drove up to Mississippi to
- 2:51Speaker 3: see some family members. They lived damn near in Memphis, right,
- 2:54Speaker 3: And as we're driving through, I think every single city
- 2:58Speaker 3: that will we went by that had station of note,
- 3:01Speaker 3: I heard either your voice or Jana's voice.
- 3:03Speaker 4: That's kind of true, I.
- 3:05Speaker 3: Told him myself, John Morgan billboards and I heard Jana
- 3:07Speaker 3: and Mel Taylor everywhere. Because if there's a rock signal
- 3:10Speaker 3: within seven thousand miles of here, your voice is on it,
- 3:13Speaker 3: it could happen. Yeah, it's fun though.
- 3:16Speaker 4: I mean, it's been interesting to see how radio has changed.
- 3:18Speaker 4: I mean, I've been to radio twenty five, twenty six years,
- 3:21Speaker 4: and I got to use cards and CDs and all
- 3:23Speaker 4: the things and whistles and it's interesting. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 3:26Speaker 4: it's changed over the years. Yeah, but I've never sat
- 3:28Speaker 4: through a four hours show before.
- 3:30Speaker 3: Well, you've been like this. The funny thing is you
- 3:32Speaker 3: broke this to me because I know you've You've come
- 3:34Speaker 3: in to promote your your events, because you have the
- 3:36Speaker 3: Bad Girl Club and you guys do poker stuff and
- 3:38Speaker 3: do golf stuff to raise money for charities and ladies
- 3:41Speaker 3: throughout the CenTra, Florida area. Yes, and we've helped promote that.
- 3:44Speaker 3: But I swore that you sat in for an entire
- 3:47Speaker 3: show one time, and I guess you have not.
- 3:48Speaker 4: I have not. I was actually got a nervous coming in.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Were you really a little bit?
- 3:52Speaker 6: That's wow?
- 3:52Speaker 4: Why I don't know, it's different for me.
- 3:55Speaker 3: I don't. Yeah, it's why. You know, we had Johnny
- 3:57Speaker 3: Magic in I guess while I was living.
- 3:59Speaker 4: To be actually he was here random and he said.
- 4:02Speaker 3: That, you know, I asked Dab, I said, how was
- 4:04Speaker 3: Johnny because I don't, you know, I didn't know how
- 4:06Speaker 3: Johnny She said, Johnny was nervous. I'm like Johnny Magic.
- 4:10Speaker 3: He's in every radio Hall of Fame that they build
- 4:13Speaker 3: hall of Fame just to induct him in. I know,
- 4:15Speaker 3: and he was nervous here. But it is a different
- 4:18Speaker 3: machine altogether. It is a unicorn of a radio, it
- 4:20Speaker 3: really is. So it's a it's a little different, but
- 4:22Speaker 3: I love that when people want to come on because
- 4:24Speaker 3: of the long form and conversations that we can have
- 4:26Speaker 3: as opposed to some of the stuff that you guys
- 4:28Speaker 3: have to do on your stations.
- 4:29Speaker 4: It's different, I'm sure. I mean, I obviously come up
- 4:31Speaker 4: with topics and stuff, but today I asked Jack.
- 4:33Speaker 3: I'm like, what do I need to do.
- 4:34Speaker 4: He's like, watch this video and I'll see you at
- 4:37Speaker 4: two thirty. And I said, okay, sounds good.
- 4:40Speaker 3: I'll be there, easy peasy. Yeah, nothing like it, all right,
- 4:42Speaker 3: four seven nine one six. Well, thank you. I know
- 4:44Speaker 3: that you have a busy schedule and you have some
- 4:45Speaker 3: things going on, and I appreciate you being able to
- 4:47Speaker 3: break off some time and join us today. Thanks having me,
- 4:49Speaker 3: all right, four seven nine one six one o four one. Again,
- 4:51Speaker 3: you can always text us at seven seven zero three one.

- 4:55Speaker 4: I am a Magic fan.
- 4:55Speaker 3: Won't see the game last night?
- 4:57Speaker 4: Did I go to the game?
- 4:58Speaker 3: Did you see the game less night?
- 4:59Speaker 4: I did not the game last night.
- 5:00Speaker 3: You know, they beat Detroit again last night, and I
- 5:03Speaker 3: was watching the second half. What an amazing game. I
- 5:05Speaker 3: was talking to a crab. I just walked over to
- 5:06Speaker 3: Brandon Studio. I interrupted him at least twice a week. Yeah,
- 5:09Speaker 3: and let me tell you, I'm shame. I'm shameless about it,
- 5:13Speaker 3: and he does. Jack's one hundred percent right. I'll just pass.
- 5:15Speaker 3: And these super important holidays, you know, or just moments
- 5:18Speaker 3: with your grandkids, those are very important. You want to
- 5:21Speaker 3: be around for as many of those as possible. And

- 5:37Speaker 3: of those cases there will be zero warning, it's horrifying.
- 5:40Speaker 3: So do what I did, what my wife did, what
- 5:42Speaker 3: my in laws did. Get over to Life IMAGEFLA and
- 5:44Speaker 3: get this free heart scan. And remember there are no dies.

- 7:35Speaker 8: the weather fore cash you gave, we're currently in what
- 7:38Speaker 8: you call an e nso neutral period, which means no laninya,
- 7:43Speaker 8: no el Nina. We're transitioning out of Alanina. That's the
- 7:48Speaker 8: cooler weather we had, but we are going into Ala Nina,
- 7:52Speaker 8: which should arrive in the next couple of months. That
- 7:54Speaker 8: means hotter temperatures and it's going to be upon us
- 7:58Speaker 8: for a little aloha.
- 8:00Speaker 9: I thought this administration did away with the Mexican weather
- 8:03Speaker 9: that we're only supposed to get American weather.
- 8:05Speaker 3: Now that's the Gulf. That's a big, big difference. Sorry,
- 8:10Speaker 3: four O seven nine four one text seven seven zero
- 8:13Speaker 3: or three one. We will have another keyword for the
- 8:15Speaker 3: top of the hour, so stay tuned for that. Plus
- 8:17Speaker 3: we have what you Do that's new. And did you
- 8:19Speaker 3: see the video?
- 8:20Speaker 4: The video?
- 8:20Speaker 10: Yeah?
- 8:20Speaker 6: I did.
- 8:21Speaker 3: I watched the whole thing, did you I did?
- 8:24Speaker 4: I watched the whole thing, But I told my husband
- 8:26Speaker 4: I was like walking around watching it and I was like,
- 8:28Speaker 4: I go, I'm feeling like really claustrophobic and antsy and
- 8:33Speaker 4: so many feelings.
- 8:34Speaker 3: Well, let me tell you. Can you watch videos of
- 8:36Speaker 3: people like doing things on really high places like I'll
- 8:40Speaker 3: give you an example. There's a I think it's in
- 8:43Speaker 3: Oh my God, Peru. I believe this has a very
- 8:47Speaker 3: famous road there. It's called like the there's a it's
- 8:50Speaker 3: got the word death in it and basically it's carved
- 8:53Speaker 3: in the side of this mountain and it's either you're
- 8:55Speaker 3: on the road or it's a three thousand foot fall
- 8:58Speaker 3: to the bottom of the mountain. And then you see
- 9:00Speaker 3: these trucks going through there and motorcycles are passing on
- 9:03Speaker 3: the outside where on one side there's trucks crazy and
- 9:07Speaker 3: I can't I can't even watch those like I just
- 9:11Speaker 3: watching the videos makes my anxiety go through the roof.
- 9:15Speaker 3: My my dad ruined me as a kid. We lived
- 9:18Speaker 3: in West Virginia for a short period of time. My
- 9:20Speaker 3: dad ran a coal mine and to get to the mine,
- 9:23Speaker 3: you went basically circled around this mountain like as if
- 9:26Speaker 3: it was an ice cream cone. And the road was,
- 9:28Speaker 3: you know, five feet wide, it was gravel, it wasn't
- 9:31Speaker 3: even it wasn't even asphalt. There were no guardbrails. And
- 9:35Speaker 3: my old man thought it was the funniest thing in
- 9:37Speaker 3: the way in the world on the way up because
- 9:40Speaker 3: he's on the inside, right, I'm on the outside. So
- 9:43Speaker 3: when I look out my window road, it's like next
- 9:47Speaker 3: stop a thousand feet straight down, and I mean hauling
- 9:50Speaker 3: ass around this thing like I mean like chirping, like
- 9:55Speaker 3: like like crazy, like hanging the ass into this truck
- 9:59Speaker 3: off this because he thought as funny as balls that
- 10:01Speaker 3: his five year old was scared sless because being in
- 10:05Speaker 3: the car. So now anything with heights just I can't.
- 10:09Speaker 3: I can't.
- 10:09Speaker 4: That's the story. It stuck with it this ame time.
- 10:12Speaker 3: I can't. If I'm in a hotel that's more than
- 10:14Speaker 3: ten fours, I won't even go to the window. Oh
- 10:18Speaker 3: his bananas, dude killed.
- 10:19Speaker 4: It's crazy.
- 10:20Speaker 9: Never say over the fourth floor what you never say
- 10:23Speaker 9: over the fourth wor check.
- 10:24Speaker 3: I asked him to book menywhere I go to somewhere.
- 10:26Speaker 3: I'm like, give us a room if it's on eleven,
- 10:28Speaker 3: is on eleven. I don't ask stuff for stuff like that.
- 10:30Speaker 3: I'm not like a rock star. Fire trucks with ladders
- 10:32Speaker 3: can only reach it out. Great point.
- 10:36Speaker 4: It's gonna scare you again. Now every time you go
- 10:38Speaker 4: you're gonna be asking to be an unfordable below.
- 10:41Speaker 3: Go ahead.
- 10:42Speaker 9: Youngest Road, commonly referred to as Death Road in Bolivia, Bolivia. Yeah,
- 10:49Speaker 9: eleven five hundred feet of descent yep, that throw drowns
- 10:53Speaker 9: about twenty five thousand tourists per year, has become a
- 10:56Speaker 9: popular destination for adventure tourism, particularly mountain biking. Until the
- 11:01Speaker 9: mid nineteen nineties, the accident rate on the road was
- 11:05Speaker 9: between two hundred and three hundred deaths per year.
- 11:09Speaker 3: That's not a bad number, right, Yeah.
- 11:10Speaker 4: All right, let's go drive that. It's like a million
- 11:12Speaker 4: dollar highway though, right, that's another one Colorado.
- 11:15Speaker 3: No, oh, is that long Mont the one that's called
- 11:17Speaker 3: it's something pass It's some.
- 11:20Speaker 4: There's something in there. But I mean, my sister has
- 11:22Speaker 4: lived in Colorado parts of the year and we've done
- 11:24Speaker 4: a million dollar.
- 11:25Speaker 3: So my buddy Code Black is from there. He's from
- 11:27Speaker 3: Fort Collins, right, So when we fly out with them,
- 11:29Speaker 3: they know Colorado like the back of their hand. They
- 11:31Speaker 3: grew up there, so they do all this stuff. Well,
- 11:33Speaker 3: one time we go out there and they they're springing
- 11:37Speaker 3: a joke on me, you know, a Code Black and
- 11:39Speaker 3: his wife and my and my wife and we're riding
- 11:42Speaker 3: in the back and we're in this suv and we're
- 11:44Speaker 3: kind of, you know, we're tooling around the mountain everything
- 11:46Speaker 3: like that. We're going up there. He goes, Oh, we're
- 11:47Speaker 3: going to go to the summit House and we're gonna
- 11:48Speaker 3: go have lunch and stuff. It'll be fun. And I'm like,
- 11:50Speaker 3: the summit House. I said something, Hommit means top, right,
- 11:54Speaker 3: and I'm like yeah. He's like yeah. So they go
- 11:57Speaker 3: to this this one mountain and they're going around this
- 12:00Speaker 3: pass and you gonna remember it's winter. Yeah, And I
- 12:03Speaker 3: don't know if you know this in Colorado. When they
- 12:04Speaker 3: go around there, they take these twenty foot bamboo poles
- 12:08Speaker 3: and they stick them in the ground and that pole
- 12:10Speaker 3: is to tell you where the road ends. And they
- 12:13Speaker 3: put them on this side of the mountains and there
- 12:15Speaker 3: are people driving tractor trailers. Because you can't take the
- 12:17Speaker 3: tractor trailers with hazmat stuff through the tunnels. They don't
- 12:20Speaker 3: allow that. That's against laws. So the truckers have to
- 12:23Speaker 3: drive these giant trucks up and around this tiny little road. Well,
- 12:27Speaker 3: we're up there on that road and I see a
- 12:29Speaker 3: sign and it's like, you're at twelve or ten thousand,
- 12:32Speaker 3: seven hundred feet, and I look at him and I'm like.
- 12:34Speaker 4: What where where are you taking?
- 12:35Speaker 2: They're laughing.
- 12:37Speaker 3: They cannot get enough I am honestly, I'm like, just
- 12:40Speaker 3: let me out. I'll walk to the bottom. You guys
- 12:42Speaker 3: can pick me up. I'm not gonna be that guy
- 12:45Speaker 3: tumbling down the side of the mountain while you guys chuckle.
- 12:49Speaker 3: Million dollars highway in Colorado, eleven thousand feet of elevation
- 12:54Speaker 3: isn't dangerous because of speed, It's danger just because of
- 12:57Speaker 3: everything else. Yeah, right, jack, No guardrails, sheer drop offs,
- 13:03Speaker 3: sudden weather. Yeah yeah. And and by the way, you
- 13:05Speaker 3: can be up there, and truckers that are listening to
- 13:07Speaker 3: us right now, they know because when you go in
- 13:09Speaker 3: there and you you carry certain loads in that area,
- 13:12Speaker 3: you can't go through this tunnel. So and this be
- 13:14Speaker 3: on the east coast and be on the west coast,
- 13:16Speaker 3: and they make you take these pass roads that go
- 13:18Speaker 3: up and around and come back down the mountain. And
- 13:20Speaker 3: I'm telling you it's horrifying, horrifying.
- 13:23Speaker 4: I agree with you.
- 13:24Speaker 3: And they think it's the funniest thing in the world.
- 13:26Speaker 3: And my butt, you couldn't sledgejammer a grease needle up
- 13:29Speaker 3: my ass. I am just I'm literally holding on to
- 13:33Speaker 3: the air. I'm literally holding onto this truck with my butthole,
- 13:37Speaker 3: trying to stay in the truck because I cannot stand it.
- 13:40Speaker 4: You know why, It's because you tell stories like that,
- 13:43Speaker 4: Everyone's going.
- 13:44Speaker 3: To do it to you.
- 13:45Speaker 9: Why wouldn't that most dangerous highway in the United States?
- 13:48Speaker 3: What is it? You are familiar with it. It's Loveland Pass,
- 13:51Speaker 3: isn't it. That's it's Loveland Pass. I think that's the
- 13:54Speaker 3: name of it.
- 13:54Speaker 4: Been there, I have been there.
- 13:56Speaker 9: The most fatal crashes. And this might have to do
- 14:00Speaker 9: with how often it's huese. Oh definitely, four h ninety five.
- 14:05Speaker 9: I don't know I can say one of.
- 14:06Speaker 3: Them, I ninety five. Is it really? Yeah?
- 14:09Speaker 4: I thought so.
- 14:10Speaker 9: Yeah, the data says I ninety five the most dangerous
- 14:13Speaker 9: highway with the most fatal crashes. The highway that runs
- 14:15Speaker 9: up the East coast, unsurprisingly more hazardous in the Northeast
- 14:19Speaker 9: during winter.
- 14:20Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, brutal up there, man. And look, I mean,
- 14:22Speaker 3: but when we live in West Virginia for that short
- 14:23Speaker 3: period of time, there are a couple of mountains up
- 14:25Speaker 3: there that are no joke, even go through the Blue Ridge. Yeah,
- 14:27Speaker 3: just driving through the Blue Ridge and even those roads
- 14:29Speaker 3: are wide. You get up in some of those parts
- 14:30Speaker 3: of the Blue Ridge when you when they show you
- 14:32Speaker 3: those vistas, when you make that one corner, and then
- 14:34Speaker 3: it's just like there's nothing. Yeah, it's like, right, that's
- 14:38Speaker 3: what it is. It is you've got in Colorado. You
- 14:40Speaker 3: know this when you like it is a Floridian, But
- 14:42Speaker 3: you have no perspective of where you are in life
- 14:45Speaker 3: because everything's right in your face. Like out there you
- 14:47Speaker 3: can look down and you can see out and see
- 14:49Speaker 3: how far you are. There's this one area right before
- 14:51Speaker 3: you get the Aspen where you're hauling as it's like
- 14:53Speaker 3: seventy miles an hour, and it looks like you're just
- 14:56Speaker 3: gonna fly off into the nether and you take this
- 14:59Speaker 3: left right. But when you get up there and you're
- 15:02Speaker 3: on the outside lane and you're going like sixty five
- 15:04Speaker 3: seventy miles an hour, what up there? It just it
- 15:08Speaker 3: just feels so patently unsafe. Yes, and you great, and
- 15:11Speaker 3: he's just like and like you said, as soon as
- 15:14Speaker 3: you make that turn, it's like, oh, there's no sound.
- 15:19Speaker 3: It's like a vacuum.
- 15:21Speaker 4: We've driven even if Italys have like in Amalfi on
- 15:24Speaker 4: those little corners and stuff. My husband rocked it. He
- 15:27Speaker 4: drove and I just sat there and terrified the whole time.
- 15:29Speaker 3: No, wait, I'm not doing it.
- 15:31Speaker 9: Yes, it's scary, not fun for your boy, Carrie all right?
- 15:33Speaker 9: Four seven nine six o one.
- 15:35Speaker 3: What'd you do? That's new? Next?
- 15:36Speaker 1: And another to win a grand in your hand is
- 15:38Speaker 1: minutes away on Real Radio one oh four point one,
- 15:41Speaker 1: brought to you by.
- 15:41Speaker 11: Mill's Air from the Klosmon Law Traffic Center. Car crash
- 15:45Speaker 11: called Klosmanlaw Klosmanlaw dot Com.
- 15:49Speaker 12: Accidents in Seminole County I for eastbound the off ramp
- 15:54Speaker 12: to the Lake Mary Rest area is currently blocked again
- 15:57Speaker 12: due to a crash. There accident to have blocking the
- 16:00Speaker 12: right lane stand Lake Road forty two eastbound.
- 16:06Speaker 3: Hey Jimmy, so I have flown Spirit Delta in Southwest. Oh,
- 16:13Speaker 3: you saw it. I knew it was coming. You can't
- 16:17Speaker 3: even mistake doing this. You cannot do it. These guys
- 16:20Speaker 3: will never let you forget it. They bring up the
- 16:22Speaker 3: thing that I did thirty five years ago when I
- 16:25Speaker 3: was on the air with the with the monsters. It
- 16:27Speaker 3: wasn't even the monsters then, and I did a bit
- 16:29Speaker 3: about catfish, and to this day, thirty five years later,
- 16:32Speaker 3: people will come up and mention that.
- 16:33Speaker 4: To me thirty five I did one time and when
- 16:36Speaker 4: I was first starting like alternative radio, I mentioned Rage
- 16:39Speaker 4: against the Machine. They have a song called down Rodeo
- 16:42Speaker 4: and I was just kidding and I said, oh, down Rodeo,
- 16:44Speaker 4: you know, and I got like hate mail yeah from
- 16:48Speaker 4: the Rage fans, like, how dare you say it wrong?
- 16:51Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah, how about you get a sense of humor?
- 16:55Speaker 6: Right?
- 16:55Speaker 3: All right? Your four keyword is grand and that's g
- 16:57Speaker 3: R A and the slide or two Real Radio dot
- 17:00Speaker 3: him and send that away for your chance at a
- 17:01Speaker 3: thousand bucks. I have no idea why rosses in the
- 17:03Speaker 3: background with his head covered of his face. Yeah, I
- 17:05Speaker 3: guess we'll find out a minute. Let's do what you do.
- 17:07Speaker 3: That's new. Look at that shirt, you know what.
- 17:17Speaker 9: They need to do. So, because it's Ross's pick today
- 17:25Speaker 9: that we're reviewing, we brought him on to introduce it. However,
- 17:29Speaker 9: a Tuesday at this time, he's doing full daddy duty.
- 17:32Speaker 9: So he's got to sun miles with him and you
- 17:34Speaker 9: can see it if you're watching.
- 17:35Speaker 3: That's aw uh. Real Radio dot FM slash one. He
- 17:38Speaker 3: looks fake. He looks like a like a cartoon that
- 17:42Speaker 3: came to life, is exactly what he looks like.
- 17:44Speaker 2: It's unreal.
- 17:45Speaker 13: What do you say when you see a good day?
- 17:49Speaker 2: All right, we'll take it. Yeah, there he goes.
- 17:53Speaker 13: You might hear a couple of baby noises. But I'm
- 17:55Speaker 13: here to tell you how intense of a YouTube video was.
- 17:58Speaker 3: That it was.
- 18:00Speaker 9: And there were a couple of parts of it right
- 18:02Speaker 9: to look Away, America's deepest cave, and it was about
- 18:05Speaker 9: a cave explorers, and it was it's in it's in
- 18:09Speaker 9: Georgia and North Georgia, North Georgia, and they go down
- 18:13Speaker 9: and it was it's pretty wild, and it seemed it's
- 18:17Speaker 9: one of those things where this is not a Disney ride.
- 18:19Speaker 9: This this could definitely end poorly. Oh yeah, and it
- 18:23Speaker 9: has for a number of people. It has ended poorly
- 18:25Speaker 9: for a number of people who have passed away in
- 18:27Speaker 9: that cave.
- 18:27Speaker 3: Actually, before they start the story, part of the story
- 18:30Speaker 3: is four or five clips of news stories reporting that
- 18:33Speaker 3: people have died in that cave.
- 18:34Speaker 4: I always wanted to a splunker. Actually, that was like
- 18:37Speaker 4: one of my things until I really went into the cave.
- 18:39Speaker 4: When I was a kid, and I was like, no,
- 18:41Speaker 4: this is not for me.
- 18:43Speaker 13: I don't know what it was, but this was one
- 18:46Speaker 13: of the first couple of pieces of content that got
- 18:49Speaker 13: me really really into caves. It's the danger, it's the exploration,
- 18:54Speaker 13: it's the fact that nobody has been here before. There
- 18:57Speaker 13: are parts of the cave in that video just untouched
- 19:00Speaker 13: for what a million years?
- 19:02Speaker 3: Oh well, how long ever it took to format? Yeah,
- 19:04Speaker 3: I mean it could be forever, you know, I mean
- 19:05Speaker 3: it really is insane, dude, I mean, how did you
- 19:07Speaker 3: stumble onto this particular piece of information.
- 19:10Speaker 2: Cave algorithm, dude, cave algorithm.
- 19:13Speaker 13: You just well, once you get into something, it just
- 19:16Speaker 13: keeps feeding you all the same stuff. And how about
- 19:19Speaker 13: this that the guy who's caving doing all the cathing
- 19:23Speaker 13: is his name is Magnus. Did you pick up on
- 19:25Speaker 13: the joke of all the other so Magnus was like
- 19:28Speaker 13: a British explorer and then and then he's hanging out
- 19:31Speaker 13: with a bunch of Americans basically finding out that Americans
- 19:34Speaker 13: are a little bit crazy.
- 19:35Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah. The gunshot thing.
- 19:38Speaker 13: Yeah, there's gunshots that's involved in this video. When he's
- 19:42Speaker 13: just blown away by Why would you guys shoot a
- 19:45Speaker 13: wall and he basically responds with why not or how
- 19:48Speaker 13: about that? The guy's name is Magnus, And then one
- 19:50Speaker 13: of the Americans make the jokes like halfway through the
- 19:53Speaker 13: track when.
- 19:54Speaker 3: They're like, oh, you're not the chess guy. Yeah. It
- 19:59Speaker 3: was funny because they went into this one area and
- 20:01Speaker 3: the and the Magnus guy goes, what is the what
- 20:03Speaker 3: is that on the wall there? What is that? And
- 20:05Speaker 3: he goes, well, we are in Georgia. There are some rednecks.
- 20:07Speaker 3: Those are gunshot holes. He goes. He goes, so somebody
- 20:11Speaker 3: fired off a gun in this cave. That's gonna ricocheted
- 20:14Speaker 3: back and hit him, and goes, yeah, that's.
- 20:16Speaker 4: What you get in the South.
- 20:18Speaker 9: And it also seemed like his guides they were pretty
- 20:21Speaker 9: cavalier about the whole thing, right, It's like they it
- 20:24Speaker 9: was like, yeah, joking with him, It's like, oh, it's
- 20:27Speaker 9: gonna get tighter. But also the fact that he went
- 20:30Speaker 9: into it knowing that there were really narrow passages and
- 20:34Speaker 9: that he even I don't know if he was playing
- 20:36Speaker 9: it up, but he was like, you know, if he
- 20:38Speaker 9: can't fit, he's gonna have and he doesn't get stuck.
- 20:43Speaker 9: He's gonna have to reverse and go back the other way,
- 20:45Speaker 9: which is more difficult than continuing forward.
- 20:48Speaker 3: No can. Yeah, because there's that one place where I
- 20:50Speaker 3: guess when you have to splunk down this giant shaft
- 20:53Speaker 3: that always has water running down it, right because it
- 20:55Speaker 3: catches water. And they continually warn him, They're like, look, man,
- 20:58Speaker 3: there are flash floods around here, and it will fill
- 21:00Speaker 3: this cave up. Then they flashed to a shot when
- 21:02Speaker 3: they do when they went in there one time before,
- 21:05Speaker 3: and it looked like a horror movie. This dude is
- 21:07Speaker 3: in a cavern and you know, and it's filled water
- 21:11Speaker 3: except for the top five inches where he's breathing. And
- 21:14Speaker 3: I'm like, are you do this voluntarily? Yeah?
- 21:17Speaker 13: And there are there are parts of the cave that
- 21:20Speaker 13: you have to take off your bag to go through.
- 21:24Speaker 13: What There's parts of the cave where you have to
- 21:28Speaker 13: put your arms up to make sure that you become
- 21:31Speaker 13: as narrow as the hole allows. It Just an insane
- 21:34Speaker 13: activity that's really grabbed my passion.
- 21:38Speaker 4: The corkscrews. The corkscrews are they call it, and they
- 21:42Speaker 4: the guy had to push him through. Crazy.
- 21:46Speaker 3: I tell you. The part I've liked about it the
- 21:47Speaker 3: most is is there's a drawing of the cave right
- 21:50Speaker 3: and you get and it shows you all of the
- 21:53Speaker 3: different channels and areas, and it shows you kind of
- 21:55Speaker 3: where they are while they're showing you video of them
- 21:58Speaker 3: being there, which I thought was awesome. I'm gonna gives
- 22:00Speaker 3: you an idea of how long it takes to traverse
- 22:04Speaker 3: that space. They were down there for fifteen hours. To
- 22:07Speaker 3: go from the entrance to the other side took them
- 22:10Speaker 3: fifteen hours. And there are two places where they have
- 22:12Speaker 3: to splunt down once one hundred and eighty feet I
- 22:14Speaker 3: think the other one's like three hundred and fifty feet.
- 22:17Speaker 4: It's crazy. It was a crazy video. I watched the
- 22:19Speaker 4: whole thing beginning to end.
- 22:20Speaker 3: It was great thing.
- 22:23Speaker 2: Ending.
- 22:24Speaker 13: The whole thing ends with a waterfall that they have
- 22:27Speaker 13: to climb up on a rope.
- 22:29Speaker 2: The rope is getting wet and the waterfall.
- 22:31Speaker 13: It just insane stuff that makes me go like, these
- 22:35Speaker 13: are the real adventurers out there.
- 22:37Speaker 9: So that's when it got real interesting at the end there. First,
- 22:39Speaker 9: of all those ropes for those major drops they're there.
- 22:43Speaker 9: They have those there, so you wonder, what's the integrity
- 22:46Speaker 9: of that rope when it's constantly being wet with the
- 22:49Speaker 9: mug with the mud and stuff, and that grip that
- 22:53Speaker 9: they used to I forget whether you call it when
- 22:55Speaker 9: you go up a rope with that.
- 22:57Speaker 3: I was just writing Girls the Other climb about that.
- 23:00Speaker 9: They create a little slack, move it up into grabs,
- 23:03Speaker 9: and they like inch worm their way up. They get
- 23:06Speaker 9: to the top, and then they go from that. And
- 23:09Speaker 9: there were like they kept showing the map and there
- 23:11Speaker 9: were like three more sections. Suddenly they're near the end
- 23:14Speaker 9: and he even he says, yeah, at the end, we
- 23:18Speaker 9: were just in survival mode. We weren't filming as much.
- 23:21Speaker 9: Oh yeah, because when they're filming you actually you have
- 23:24Speaker 9: to stop. You have to like the cameraman has to
- 23:26Speaker 9: get ahead of you. You try and get all the
- 23:28Speaker 9: shots that you can. And you could tell at the
- 23:31Speaker 9: end they're like, this was what sixteen hours.
- 23:34Speaker 3: Yeah, fifteen hours, fifteen and a half hours whatever.
- 23:37Speaker 9: They started at nine am one day and then went
- 23:39Speaker 9: straight through. They're eating recent peanut butter cups in there.
- 23:42Speaker 9: Yea half a bottle watery, that's yea. And then at
- 23:47Speaker 9: the end you're like, yeah, we were just in survival
- 23:49Speaker 9: mode at the end, and we weren't even filming as much.
- 23:51Speaker 3: And how about the one time when when he's going
- 23:53Speaker 3: up that cheft that jacket is talking about that has
- 23:55Speaker 3: the waterfall, they put this bag on him and everything,
- 23:58Speaker 3: and and as he's about to go, he goes, he goes.
- 24:00Speaker 3: Let me remind you don't look up, because people have
- 24:02Speaker 3: drowned doing this. In other words, they look up and
- 24:05Speaker 3: they try to see where they're going and the water
- 24:07Speaker 3: comes down and drowns them as they're dangling there on
- 24:10Speaker 3: a rope and the plastic.
- 24:11Speaker 9: They literally put a garbage bag over him and cut
- 24:14Speaker 9: a hole out for his face and then put his
- 24:17Speaker 9: gear back on him.
- 24:19Speaker 13: And just like there's so many factors that plays a
- 24:22Speaker 13: role into caving. How about the fact when they first
- 24:24Speaker 13: show up and they're like, yeah, we got to keep
- 24:26Speaker 13: an eye.
- 24:26Speaker 2: On flash floods, floods, and it's just rained.
- 24:30Speaker 13: It's been raining a lot, so the soil isn't going
- 24:32Speaker 13: to absorb at any water.
- 24:34Speaker 3: Yeah, it's saturated. It's gonna and you'll get the runoff
- 24:36Speaker 3: and they'll fill these caves up. And then they kind
- 24:38Speaker 3: of start making semi jokes about it, and the guys
- 24:40Speaker 3: that have never been down there kind of start asking
- 24:42Speaker 3: if there are you know, is this real? And the
- 24:45Speaker 3: guys are like, yeah, I mean, you know, could happen.
- 24:46Speaker 3: I mean it could happen. They were a little cavalier
- 24:50Speaker 3: for my case. They were I need you to be
- 24:52Speaker 3: a little more serious when we're one thousand feet underground.
- 24:55Speaker 3: Great pick, Ross, Yeah, good job.
- 24:57Speaker 2: I'm happy that you guys enjoyed it. Sorry that my
- 24:59Speaker 2: toddlers destroyed my home.

- 27:41Speaker 4: I do.
- 27:42Speaker 3: Yes. There's there's one fella you have some fans, do.
- 27:46Speaker 4: You already calls me every day and he always calls

- 27:56Speaker 4: today I'm in clear Water. Oh really the iHeartRadio app. Hey,

- 28:04Speaker 4: You might call me twenty five times a day, but yes.
- 28:06Speaker 3: Are you serious?
- 28:07Speaker 4: Wow, I've had a chance to meet him, great guy.
- 28:09Speaker 3: All right, Welcome back to the Jim Colbert Show here
- 28:12Speaker 3: on Real Radio one oh four point one. Hey, I
- 28:14Speaker 3: wanted to cleose up on real quick. Wife and I
- 28:16Speaker 3: had a conversation last night, and I wanted to see
- 28:18Speaker 3: what you guys thought. This is just a silly kind
- 28:22Speaker 3: of thing we were talking about because of an experience
- 28:24Speaker 3: we had. Right, No, we didn't have a fight. I
- 28:26Speaker 3: had nothing to do with that. What band do you
- 28:29Speaker 3: believe carried their lead singer to success? Ben Helen? So
- 28:37Speaker 3: all right?
- 28:38Speaker 4: Oh, I know, yeah, was this part of the argument.
- 28:42Speaker 3: It wasn't an argument per se, because we had an
- 28:45Speaker 3: experience with a band and it was kind of like
- 28:47Speaker 3: one of those things where like I think that's the
- 28:49Speaker 3: best band with the worst singer that's been successful and
- 28:54Speaker 3: I and we both kind of looked at him, like
- 28:56Speaker 3: who do you think it is? And she said the
- 28:58Speaker 3: same exact thing I did, because of an experience that
- 29:01Speaker 3: we had. And it's so funny because I went online
- 29:04Speaker 3: and I typed this in and there is a feed
- 29:07Speaker 3: and uh, I forget what platform it was, and it
- 29:10Speaker 3: kind of asked the same question. And I don't know
- 29:12Speaker 3: if you guys get this same kind of satisfaction, but
- 29:14Speaker 3: when I clicked on the feed, the very first answer
- 29:17Speaker 3: was exactly the answer. So I love that for some reason.
- 29:20Speaker 3: I don't know why that's so fulfilling.
- 29:21Speaker 9: My wife has one because she constantly tells me it's
- 29:24Speaker 9: a band I love, and she's like, I love the band,
- 29:27Speaker 9: I can't stand the singer. No, no, not because you
- 29:30Speaker 9: don't like the singer. No, no, it's the singer is bad.
- 29:35Speaker 9: That's what she says. And also the fact that hell
- 29:38Speaker 9: scat and make up lyrics and it's the red hot
- 29:41Speaker 9: Chili peppers and Anthony Keatis.
- 29:44Speaker 3: That's exactly who we said. Is it really buy a million?
- 29:47Speaker 3: And I'll tell you why. Have you ever seen it?
- 29:51Speaker 4: Yes?
- 29:52Speaker 3: It was one of the worst shows we've ever seen
- 29:55Speaker 3: in our lives. We actually we actually flew to New
- 29:58Speaker 3: Orleans to see them, to have a week and now
- 30:00Speaker 3: the light show was one of the most unique I've
- 30:02Speaker 3: ever seen in my life.
- 30:04Speaker 9: I went to the same show when it was here,
- 30:06Speaker 9: and it's when they it covered the floor area with
- 30:09Speaker 9: all of each one was independently moving, and it was do.
- 30:12Speaker 3: You remember that. I've never seen anything like it. It
- 30:14Speaker 3: was a it was a like a blanket of light
- 30:17Speaker 3: staying on the audience right, and each light was imagine
- 30:20Speaker 3: like a pendant light like you would have hanging a rabar, right,
- 30:24Speaker 3: and they were like cylindrical and they could light up
- 30:26Speaker 3: and do different colors and stuff. Well they could control
- 30:28Speaker 3: those individually, almost like those drone shows. And it was remarkable,
- 30:33Speaker 3: Like it was like if it wouldn't have been for that,
- 30:35Speaker 3: the show would have been a total loss.
- 30:37Speaker 9: And not only that, any seat you had, like if
- 30:40Speaker 9: you were in the back, you had a different show
- 30:42Speaker 9: experience than the people on the floor or the people
- 30:45Speaker 9: on the side, because they took up the whole thing
- 30:48Speaker 9: and it would do waves and stuff, and because they
- 30:50Speaker 9: could change colors, it was almost like a video screen.
- 30:53Speaker 9: It was wild because of what they could do with that.
- 30:56Speaker 9: I like that show. I like him as a lead singer,
- 31:01Speaker 9: but I think he has definitely been out kicking his
- 31:05Speaker 9: coverage for most of me because.
- 31:06Speaker 3: I mean, you have one of the best drummers, you
- 31:08Speaker 3: have one of the best rock base players, and for
- 31:10Speaker 3: Shanti does not get enough credit for his guitar playing.
- 31:12Speaker 3: But he's also kind of remarkable and again one of
- 31:17Speaker 3: the best base one of the best rock bass players
- 31:19Speaker 3: of all time. And one of the other ones keep
- 31:21Speaker 3: with van Halen was another big guest there with that. Yeah,
- 31:23Speaker 3: the other one too, and I agree with this one
- 31:25Speaker 3: as well, but real quick caveat with van Halen.
- 31:28Speaker 9: At the time, I think David Lee Roth but I
- 31:34Speaker 9: think he was perfect for that time in their band.
- 31:37Speaker 3: But it just he hasn't aged well. Yeah, but you
- 31:40Speaker 3: gotta remember the idea of rock and roll has changed,
- 31:43Speaker 3: because back in the day, being the front man was
- 31:45Speaker 3: the most important thing, because let's face it, Mick Jagger
- 31:48Speaker 3: doesn't have a great voice, but he is the best
- 31:50Speaker 3: front man that's ever lived in rock and roll. But
- 31:52Speaker 3: now you know, you want your rock guys to have
- 31:55Speaker 3: great voices, and a lot of these guys have incredible voices.
- 31:58Speaker 3: I mean, even with bands like Slipknot, you say, well,
- 32:00Speaker 3: it's hardcore music, but you listen to Corey Taylor's voice.
- 32:03Speaker 9: And he's always on key, always perfect. Who do you
- 32:06Speaker 9: think one of the other ones was, I don't know,
- 32:08Speaker 9: Rashing Pumpkins. Oh no, you can't Billy back in the
- 32:14Speaker 9: night he did that whole album himself.
- 32:16Speaker 4: He did yes, when as a whole band was like
- 32:19Speaker 4: they're doing their thing whatever they were doing.
- 32:20Speaker 3: No, they didn't do anything. That's why they all broke
- 32:22Speaker 3: up is because they showed up to uh write the record,
- 32:25Speaker 3: and Billy Corgan basically said, here's your part, here's your part,
- 32:27Speaker 3: and here's your part. We're gonna go record it. We're
- 32:29Speaker 3: gonna go tour behind this record, but you're getting no
- 32:31Speaker 3: writing credits.
- 32:32Speaker 4: Well, that could have definitely happened. Billy seems very in
- 32:36Speaker 4: control of those things. But I think going to Chili
- 32:38Speaker 4: Pepper's concert, I think it's the whole experience because it
- 32:41Speaker 4: probably was not like you almost don't even think about
- 32:44Speaker 4: how he's singing and stuff because you're singing with him.
- 32:47Speaker 3: But the problem is he's so off key and a
- 32:49Speaker 3: lot of the parts of of the things like it
- 32:51Speaker 3: just is so glaring.
- 32:52Speaker 5: Man.
- 32:53Speaker 9: He didn't have the benefits of the studio for that
- 32:56Speaker 9: controlled environment, so even live, I think he's really exposed.
- 33:00Speaker 9: And that that was the Dark Necessity Store an album
- 33:03Speaker 9: I absolutely love. And it was Josh Klinghoffer, who is
- 33:07Speaker 9: their guitarists on that for that tour and that part
- 33:09Speaker 9: of the band and when they got for Shanti back,
- 33:11Speaker 9: they were like yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 33:14Speaker 3: Because for a Shanty had an heroin issue, right, and
- 33:17Speaker 3: then he got clean and they brought him back because
- 33:19Speaker 3: I guess his brother is it Khalil? Actually he died
- 33:22Speaker 3: he overdoes yea yeah yeah, and then they brought in
- 33:25Speaker 3: for Shanty. There's a documentary on Netflix came out.
- 33:28Speaker 4: It just came out. I haven't seen it either, but
- 33:30Speaker 4: it came out like two months ago.
- 33:31Speaker 3: But there's an old one that shows for Shanty blanked
- 33:33Speaker 3: up on heroin and it's crazy, like it's Banana's Like, dude,
- 33:37Speaker 3: it looks like a he looks like a ghoul. Oh.
- 33:39Speaker 4: They all had obviously lots of issues. You read their books, yes,
- 33:44Speaker 4: lots of things.
- 33:44Speaker 3: Can you think of any others? I mean, You're the
- 33:46Speaker 3: You're the rock Guns. I'm trying to think of any
- 33:48Speaker 3: other of those bands. Where somebody said Mike Patton from
- 33:51Speaker 3: Faith no more, but I couldn't disagree with that more.
- 33:53Speaker 3: His voice is kind of a high, unique pitch, but
- 33:55Speaker 3: he's he knows how to sing on key.
- 33:57Speaker 4: I feel like he knows how to sing on keys.
- 33:58Speaker 4: But I've never seen them live.
- 33:59Speaker 9: Yeah, so I don't know personality wise, Scot's what.
- 34:05Speaker 3: I mean. His voice was great. But but again.
- 34:10Speaker 4: I think when you go to a Creed show you
- 34:11Speaker 4: are singing, it is like an experience.
- 34:14Speaker 3: Well, the songs are very kind of infectious, right the hook.
- 34:17Speaker 4: I want to sing with all your friends, and that
- 34:19Speaker 4: you're hanging out. It's more like you're there, not nipicking
- 34:23Speaker 4: on his voice.
- 34:24Speaker 3: The Texas says Velvet Underground.
- 34:25Speaker 9: I don't know who that is though, Well, that would
- 34:27Speaker 9: be lou re read right, lou Reid is pretty iconic. Yeah,
- 34:30Speaker 9: But the thing is they don't They didn't really build
- 34:32Speaker 9: their legacies with voice. I mean you could say that
- 34:34Speaker 9: about Neil Young as well, but I mean they built
- 34:36Speaker 9: their legacy by writing incredible melodies and ridiculously important and
- 34:40Speaker 9: deep lyrics.
- 34:41Speaker 3: That's why. Yeah, interesting all right four oh seven nine
- 34:44Speaker 3: one six one o four one text us at seven
- 34:47Speaker 3: seven zero three one.
- 34:49Speaker 9: Oh and evil, I writes in Bond Scott versus Brian
- 34:51Speaker 9: Johnson both were great, Yeah, yeah, just different feels. Yet
- 34:54Speaker 9: none of them were the weak guy in the band.
- 34:56Speaker 3: They were. They were different, but they were both great. Yeah,
- 34:59Speaker 3: But with those two guys, that's where you get into
- 35:00Speaker 3: the argument and rock and roll, where is the new
- 35:02Speaker 3: singer better than the old sing of the original singer?
- 35:05Speaker 3: And I mean you could easily make that that that
- 35:08Speaker 3: argument with with Brian Johnson because of the impact they
- 35:10Speaker 3: had after he joined the band. I mean Back in
- 35:12Speaker 3: Black his top five rock albums. Ever. Yeah, who wrote it? Though?
- 35:16Speaker 3: Do we know? I saw like a conspiracy put out
- 35:19Speaker 3: that Bond didn't write that. They wrote that four Bond. Yeah,
- 35:23Speaker 3: Bond died and they actually wrote that as an homage
- 35:25Speaker 3: to Bond Scott.
- 35:26Speaker 9: I think it's saying I'm just saying that some people
- 35:30Speaker 9: are saying, what are people saying? Some people are saying
- 35:32Speaker 9: that Bond Scott wrote bon Scott had a lot to
- 35:35Speaker 9: do with that album, And I'm just saying.
- 35:38Speaker 3: I think the young guys actually talked about writing a
- 35:42Speaker 3: lot of the songs and those riffs and stuff. So
- 35:43Speaker 3: I think that was like an homage to Bond.
- 35:45Speaker 9: Ac DC I don't I just love them. I'm so
- 35:48Speaker 9: mad I went to Rockville last year instead of a CDC. Really,
- 35:51Speaker 9: I'm still kicking myself.
- 35:52Speaker 4: Did you see it rock I kind of I'll be
- 35:54Speaker 4: honest with you, I would have loved to have gone
- 35:56Speaker 4: to see.
- 35:57Speaker 9: I was bouncing back. And I've seen them a handful
- 36:00Speaker 9: of times. I mean the time my Mescaline was the
- 36:03Speaker 9: best by far, however, I mean I was five feet
- 36:07Speaker 9: from the stage.
- 36:07Speaker 3: It was chaos.
- 36:08Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 36:08Speaker 3: Yeah, man, that's so crazy. Of all the bands, you know, again,
- 36:12Speaker 3: I grew up in the eighties, so a lot of
- 36:14Speaker 3: those rock bands from the eighties, like Priest and Maiden,
- 36:16Speaker 3: I never got to see those guys. I saw Guns
- 36:18Speaker 3: and Roses, I've seen Motley Crue and and some of
- 36:20Speaker 3: those bands, but I never got to see the real
- 36:22Speaker 3: core bands that I wanted. I wanted to see Iron
- 36:24Speaker 3: Maiden so bad back in the day when they could
- 36:26Speaker 3: actually jump around and have some fun.
- 36:27Speaker 4: I've never seen them either.
- 36:29Speaker 3: Yeah, But I mean when you I still think some
- 36:31Speaker 3: of the best videos in the history of rock is
- 36:33Speaker 3: when you watch Maiden playing Brazil or any of the
- 36:36Speaker 3: big rock bands playing in South America, where they absolutely
- 36:39Speaker 3: worship like you know, American and dark metal from the
- 36:43Speaker 3: you know, from the Sweden, Norway. In those areas, they
- 36:46Speaker 3: love that stuff more than anything.
- 36:47Speaker 4: And they do stage presence and things and build all
- 36:50Speaker 4: this great Romstein the band Romstein, which I really only
- 36:54Speaker 4: know a few songs. But they they come in and
- 36:56Speaker 4: they build like a city for one show. It's yeah,
- 36:59Speaker 4: pretty wild.
- 37:00Speaker 3: It's funny. I just saw a video about somebody talking
- 37:02Speaker 3: about opening or having a Ramstein or Ramstein or whatever,
- 37:06Speaker 3: it's open for you. And he goes, he goes, you know,
- 37:09Speaker 3: I met the lead singer like backstage, and the lead
- 37:12Speaker 3: singer goes, it was actually you know it was it
- 37:14Speaker 3: was it was red hot chili peppers. It was where
- 37:18Speaker 3: chat Smith was talking about that. He he goes, yeah,
- 37:20Speaker 3: I met the singer. He goes to the singer and
- 37:22Speaker 3: he goes, He goes, I love your s and he goes,
- 37:25Speaker 3: and he goes, he goes, and chat Smith says, uh,
- 37:28Speaker 3: why do you guys use so much?
- 37:29Speaker 15: Fine?
- 37:29Speaker 3: He goes, there are three kinds of fire. There is
- 37:32Speaker 3: fire of passion, and then there's fire of the heart,
- 37:35Speaker 3: and then there's just fire. He's like this crazy mania.
- 37:40Speaker 4: Sounds exactly like their concert. Like that actually sounds like
- 37:43Speaker 4: and it makes sense.
- 37:44Speaker 3: I went through a worm Do you do the YouTube
- 37:46Speaker 3: like wormhole thing?
- 37:47Speaker 4: Sometimes I try not to. Though I try not to, I.
- 37:50Speaker 3: Get sucked into it like a rabbit. It's so terrible,
- 37:53Speaker 3: and I find myself watching live performances of Romstein doing
- 37:57Speaker 3: due host all over the world. Is if you ever
- 38:01Speaker 3: get in a bad mood and you just want to
- 38:02Speaker 3: feel andro af, just go watch Romsign sing like doing
- 38:07Speaker 3: du hoas live anywhere. It's at these big metal It
- 38:11Speaker 3: is crazy. It's crazy, so much fun to watch though.
- 38:13Speaker 3: All right, and I wanted to get in this conversation
- 38:15Speaker 3: real quick. We can start now, maybe go a little
- 38:17Speaker 3: bit later. But have you been paying attention to any
- 38:19Speaker 3: of the AI stuff with artists.
- 38:22Speaker 4: It's interesting, it's kind of crazy.
- 38:25Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 38:25Speaker 3: The the Taylor Swift one, right, so that that hit
- 38:28Speaker 3: today And one of the reasons why bring this up
- 38:30Speaker 3: is because Taylor Swift is actually she's trying to copyright
- 38:34Speaker 3: her voice, her likeness, and there was something else and
- 38:39Speaker 3: it's this big fight against AI. So I started reading
- 38:41Speaker 3: this story. It's a CNN story if you guys want
- 38:43Speaker 3: to check it out. She filed new trademark applications for
- 38:46Speaker 3: two voice clips and one image, and the image is
- 38:48Speaker 3: the one with her the pink guitar wearing that like
- 38:50Speaker 3: one Z thing that's sequinned and stuff. It's a very
- 38:53Speaker 3: famous picture of hers, maybe one of the most famous.
- 38:55Speaker 3: I think it's from the Aras tour, and so what
- 38:58Speaker 3: they're trying to do is get ahead of AI and
- 39:02Speaker 3: the threat that it poses to their branding. And I
- 39:05Speaker 3: find it very interesting because this is really what we're
- 39:07Speaker 3: seeing here is the onset of an entire We're watching
- 39:10Speaker 3: the Internet kind of all over again right here.
- 39:13Speaker 4: There's all these new things.
- 39:14Speaker 3: Yeah you can.
- 39:16Speaker 4: I mean the AI stuff is really crazy to me.
- 39:18Speaker 3: Yeah it is, because I mean, you know, and you
- 39:19Speaker 3: think about us, I mean, we make her are living
- 39:21Speaker 3: with our voices. I mean theoretically, you know, they could
- 39:23Speaker 3: AI because there's so much voice of us out there.
- 39:26Speaker 3: It would be no problem for them to create an
- 39:28Speaker 3: AI agent that sounds exactly like us, very true, and
- 39:31Speaker 3: be able to do that. And that's what she's trying
- 39:32Speaker 3: to do. And she's not the only one though. I
- 39:34Speaker 3: saw an interesting story Like Matthew McConaughey. He has like
- 39:37Speaker 3: eight trademarks exactly. He got a way ahead of this,
- 39:39Speaker 3: And I think this is going to be the wave
- 39:41Speaker 3: that maybe is the ability to kind of control what
- 39:44Speaker 3: this thing does when it comes to entertainment, because I
- 39:47Speaker 3: think the I think it's still on the fence, man,
- 39:49Speaker 3: because here's the thing. When you look at a production
- 39:51Speaker 3: if you're a production company and you're a movie studio, right,
- 39:53Speaker 3: and you think to yourself, well, who can I find
- 39:56Speaker 3: that will allow me to license their likeness for ai production? Right,
- 40:00Speaker 3: Because now there's going to be an entire different legal
- 40:04Speaker 3: genre just for doing this for people because of the
- 40:07Speaker 3: value of it. It's like selling your portfolio, right, your
- 40:11Speaker 3: record portfolio or your music portfolio. We see a lot
- 40:14Speaker 3: of artists doing, right, they're kind of getting ahead of that.
- 40:16Speaker 3: It's the same kind of thing. And it's very interesting
- 40:18Speaker 3: to watch this because we're watching it in real time
- 40:20Speaker 3: and we're going to see these things play out and
- 40:22Speaker 3: how they're kind of argued by courts of who has what.
- 40:25Speaker 3: But man, if you're a production company and you think, wow,
- 40:27Speaker 3: I'd love to make this movie, but I really want
- 40:29Speaker 3: this cast, and this cast is going to cost me
- 40:31Speaker 3: ten million dollars just to get them on the lot
- 40:33Speaker 3: before we even start paying for production cost. Or I
- 40:37Speaker 3: can license that for a thousand bucks or two thousand
- 40:40Speaker 3: dollars or eight thousand dollars or whatever it is for
- 40:42Speaker 3: that specific licensing group. And there are some artists that
- 40:45Speaker 3: are keen to that. Yeah, there are there are artists
- 40:47Speaker 3: that are like, hey, man, do that you pay me
- 40:49Speaker 3: one hundred grand? You can use my name and likeness.
- 40:51Speaker 3: A matter of fact, there's a girl online and she
- 40:53Speaker 3: is the rep for an old songwriter named Stephen baldwo No.
- 41:02Speaker 3: He was a songwriter from back in the day in
- 41:04Speaker 3: the eighties and nineties, and he wrote some pretty popular songs.
- 41:07Speaker 3: And her Instagram channel is basically talking about how she
- 41:13Speaker 3: negotiates deals for his record rights and for his music rights.
- 41:17Speaker 3: And I gotta tell you, dude, it's fascinating because it's
- 41:20Speaker 3: so limited and finite, how they can dial in what
- 41:23Speaker 3: they want. So this record company or this company in
- 41:25Speaker 3: Japan wants to buy one of his songs and they
- 41:28Speaker 3: have to list out exactly how they're gonna use it,
- 41:31Speaker 3: and they can't use anymore. And if they do, they
- 41:33Speaker 3: can be fine, and they can they can they can
- 41:35Speaker 3: find me. And it is bananas because she goes and
- 41:38Speaker 3: this guy's a noe, not a nobody, but he's kind
- 41:40Speaker 3: of a nobody. He like, wrote two pretty good songs
- 41:43Speaker 3: and has lived off of that money being part of that,
- 41:47Speaker 3: and now he's able to license that and make money
- 41:49Speaker 3: off of it. And you think about somebody who actually
- 41:51Speaker 3: has some juice, and how crazy that's going to be
- 41:53Speaker 3: in the next like maybe eight ten years, just based
- 41:56Speaker 3: on how they license that stuff is gonna be very interesting.
- 41:58Speaker 4: Well, it's even just like the Internet when I first started,
- 42:00Speaker 4: and you think about pictures, right, we would just share things.
- 42:02Speaker 4: So share things. Now you share something, you're in trouble.
- 42:05Speaker 3: There's you know, there's so.
- 42:05Speaker 4: Many rules now.
- 42:06Speaker 3: It's so funny like that are like, hey, do more
- 42:08Speaker 3: on social for us, it just workful. And I'm like
- 42:11Speaker 3: and then I'm like, have you guys read the emails
- 42:13Speaker 3: you're sending out? How you're telling you everybody's gonna cost
- 42:15Speaker 3: us thirty five thirty five thousand dollars a time that
- 42:18Speaker 3: we reshare a picture that we're not supposed to. And
- 42:20Speaker 3: then we get an email just the other day and says, well,
- 42:22Speaker 3: you can't use this group of pictures anymore. I'm like, what,
- 42:26Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying.
- 42:27Speaker 4: We're watching that with AI happen because it's such an
- 42:29Speaker 4: open field right now.
- 42:31Speaker 3: It's crazy, all right? Four oh seven nine one six
- 42:33Speaker 3: one four one text us at seven seven zero three
- 42:36Speaker 3: one back in a second with more than Jim Colberg
- 42:38Speaker 3: shows they put.
- 42:39Speaker 1: Real music Weekends are Classic Alternative, Classic Alternative This weekend
- 42:49Speaker 1: on Real Radio one oh four point one.
- 42:51Speaker 3: From the o DO dot Com Weather Center. Oh do
- 42:54Speaker 3: dot Com the only business software you will need.
- 42:59Speaker 16: I'm thirty five Swertain Team Meteorologists Jessica Dobbs with the
- 43:03Speaker 16: check of your Central Florida forecast and for our Tuesday,
- 43:05Speaker 16: we are going to be expecting temperatures to steadily heat
- 43:08Speaker 16: up into the mid and upper.
- 43:09Speaker 10: Eighty Good afternoon, Callbert crew. So, Jimmy, I got two
- 43:16Speaker 10: bones to pick with you. The first one I let
- 43:18Speaker 10: go because it was a few months ago.
- 43:21Speaker 17: But now the second one, I gotta say something to
- 43:23Speaker 17: you as far as I was at the Jason Bonham
- 43:26Speaker 17: show and you made the comment that Physical Graffiti has
- 43:28Speaker 17: only three good songs Sacrilege that is their best album
- 43:32Speaker 17: start to finish, and second of all, Freddie Mercury with Queen,
- 43:36Speaker 17: best front main ever saw him live, absolutely amazing.
- 43:39Speaker 3: Yeah all right, that's all I got.
- 43:41Speaker 18: All right, Hey guys, I hope you guys going well. So,
- 43:45Speaker 18: melt I saw Romstein in Philadelphia. Oh my god, what
- 43:48Speaker 18: an amazing show. Pydrotechnic's crazy. Every time you looked up
- 43:52Speaker 18: that you could see the sky because it was full
- 43:54Speaker 18: of smoke. What an amazing show. Thanks by.
- 43:59Speaker 2: How do you guys feel about this?
- 44:00Speaker 3: Hot take?
- 44:01Speaker 5: Creed is just the nineties version of Nickelback. Their songs
- 44:05Speaker 5: are catchy, but they suck. But you just can't help
- 44:10Speaker 5: but sing every song of them because they're so dang catchy.
- 44:13Speaker 6: Yeah, all right, my example is in sync.
- 44:16Speaker 19: No, the rest of the guys didn't carry Justin Timberlay
- 44:19Speaker 19: to success, but Justin was labeled the cute one and
- 44:23Speaker 19: he was more popular, but he was not the strongest singer.
- 44:26Speaker 6: Everybody knows that. With j C. Will go listen to this,
- 44:30Speaker 6: I promise you and I dramaself crazy.
- 44:33Speaker 19: You can see the vocal difference on those two top
- 44:37Speaker 19: five Justin Timberlay his his solo catalog cannot be touched.
- 44:41Speaker 6: But he was not the strongest singer in the scene.
- 44:43Speaker 3: It was not I agree, Jeff Charlotte, North Carolina, all right,
- 44:49Speaker 3: I saw the Red Chili Peppers that year when the
- 44:52Speaker 3: had on that wild playing show.
- 44:54Speaker 2: Amazing what.
- 45:00Speaker 20: To the Coberg crew.
- 45:02Speaker 14: I'm at my job. Okay, we'll know what that is. References,
- 45:09Speaker 14: that's not the point anyways, Look at the look. This
- 45:12Speaker 14: is my stest for y'all. Watch that Red Holly Red
- 45:16Speaker 14: Hot Chili Pepper's special. When I tell you, they left
- 45:19Speaker 14: me speechless, I cried, I cheered at the end.
- 45:23Speaker 3: Well I'm not regretting.
- 45:24Speaker 1: Yeah, that Cavvis done.
- 45:29Speaker 3: Man, Yeah, dude, I mean Mother's Milk and Blood Sugar
- 45:34Speaker 3: Set Some Sex Magic, two of the best records you
- 45:37Speaker 3: know of the late eighties and nineties. I think you
- 45:40Speaker 3: can get. There's no question. And that's not the point.
- 45:41Speaker 3: The point is the band is very good. But the
- 45:44Speaker 3: point is the band is so good they carry a
- 45:46Speaker 3: guy who is probably a C plus singer. Maybe my
- 45:48Speaker 3: wife has been saying that for years, so yeah, yeah, man.
- 45:51Speaker 3: And look, here's the thing in rock and roll. You
- 45:53Speaker 3: don't have to be a great singer. You have to
- 45:54Speaker 3: have a lot of presents. I mean stage show means
- 45:56Speaker 3: a lot, and vibe means a lot, and those guys
- 45:59Speaker 3: have a lot of that.
- 45:59Speaker 12: You know.
- 46:00Speaker 9: My wife points out, it's just there is like half
- 46:02Speaker 9: of it is gibberation in California because California Comah.
- 46:08Speaker 3: But they've been so relevant for so long, I mean decades.
- 46:11Speaker 3: They broke nineteen eighty three. I was gonna say they
- 46:13Speaker 3: broke in the early eighties, and I've been relevant until then.
- 46:15Speaker 3: Right now, they could tour and they would sell out.
- 46:17Speaker 4: Of reenas they're working on a new album, right really
- 46:19Speaker 4: they are, I don't know that.
- 46:20Speaker 9: So when I programmed weekend music for the Classical Alternative
- 46:24Speaker 9: on the weekend, I'll break it up by decades and
- 46:26Speaker 9: it's one of the bands where I get to play
- 46:28Speaker 9: something from the eighties, from the nineties and the two thousands.
- 46:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 46:32Speaker 3: Yeah, one of the few bands you could do that. Actually,
- 46:34Speaker 3: for sure.
- 46:34Speaker 4: I was at a Christmas party once and they had karaoke.
- 46:37Speaker 4: It was a hotel. It was somewhere I think it
- 46:38Speaker 4: was my first started, so this could have been like
- 46:40Speaker 4: fifteen years ago. Anyways, we had a party and I
- 46:43Speaker 4: did karaoke give it away, and I thought that I
- 46:46Speaker 4: knew all the words to the song, and the words
- 46:50Speaker 4: came and I was I was mortified because I didn't
- 46:54Speaker 4: know the words. I was like, oh my gosh, I
- 46:57Speaker 4: am I thought for the last twenty years, ten years,
- 47:00Speaker 4: however long the song was out, I was seeking the
- 47:01Speaker 4: wrong words.
- 47:02Speaker 3: Yeah that Lon, That's so funny. Uh You mel and
- 47:05Speaker 3: I were talking during the right by the way, Welcome
- 47:06Speaker 3: back to the Jim Colbert Show. I'm Jim el Taylor
- 47:08Speaker 3: with us today. Jack is here as well. We were
- 47:10Speaker 3: talking during the break and I was like, of all
- 47:11Speaker 3: the shows we've gotten to see, and she dropped like
- 47:14Speaker 3: a really, really obscure band I've never heard of. She
- 47:17Speaker 3: got to see them at Red Rocks. We were actually
- 47:19Speaker 3: just talking about shows at Red Rocks just the other day.
- 47:21Speaker 3: But like I told her, I said, well, I got
- 47:23Speaker 3: to see Molly Crue and Rat And those are two
- 47:25Speaker 3: guys that appeared on that list because Vince Neil's a
- 47:27Speaker 3: terrible singer instead of Stephen Pearcy. Their most terrible singers,
- 47:30Speaker 3: but the bands and the song's kind of covered up
- 47:33Speaker 3: for them for many, many years, many years. Yeah, and
- 47:36Speaker 3: I got to meet Vince and that guy is a man,
- 47:39Speaker 3: and sometimes that that guy's a turkey leg of a
- 47:42Speaker 3: human being.
- 47:43Speaker 9: Sometimes you don't have to be a great singer, but
- 47:45Speaker 9: sometimes it's a match for the band. I think Cake
- 47:47Speaker 9: is a thing. I love the band Cake, But at
- 47:50Speaker 9: first I didn't. I was just like he's just talking.
- 47:52Speaker 3: Yeah, it was a discording for me.
- 47:55Speaker 9: I'm like, this isn't good, and but it grew on
- 47:58Speaker 9: me and now I absolutely love it. Matter of fact,
- 48:00Speaker 9: they're coming in the fall.
- 48:01Speaker 4: Yeah, in KKRD.
- 48:02Speaker 3: I can't I can't wait. I'm gonna go see that show. Really,
- 48:05Speaker 3: I didn't know they were coming. Yeah, Wow, that'd be
- 48:07Speaker 3: kind of fun.
- 48:08Speaker 4: Yeah, he's an interesting guy. I don't even remember his
- 48:11Speaker 4: name of me right, the singer. We did a show
- 48:14Speaker 4: with him downtown. This is my old radio station, and
- 48:16Speaker 4: they were headlining the show and he came out for
- 48:20Speaker 4: like there, you know, did the soundcheck, and he had
- 48:22Speaker 4: a briefcase and I saw him coming, and he came
- 48:25Speaker 4: and he put his briefcase down right by the microphone
- 48:27Speaker 4: and he sang and then he left. He never said
- 48:31Speaker 4: a word, so like anybody in the band, just did
- 48:34Speaker 4: the soundcheck with the band, but they just, like I guess,
- 48:36Speaker 4: knew what they were supposed to do. And then he
- 48:38Speaker 4: left and then that was it. John McCrae, Yes, by
- 48:41Speaker 4: the way, Yes, he's an interesting guy.
- 48:43Speaker 3: That's interesting.
- 48:43Speaker 14: Good.
- 48:44Speaker 3: That's the same thing I saw happened with Motley Crue.
- 48:46Speaker 3: But that was way we knew why that was because
- 48:49Speaker 3: they all hated each other. Yes, Well, actually that's not true,
- 48:51Speaker 3: because we know Nikki six and Tommy where have been
- 48:53Speaker 3: friends and for a long time, but Mick Mars was
- 48:55Speaker 3: always kind of a recluse, and then Vince was a douchebag,
- 48:58Speaker 3: so they never really chilled. And I remember specifically they
- 49:01Speaker 3: played the Tupperware Center years ago, and we did a
- 49:04Speaker 3: bit because I go I went out as part of
- 49:07Speaker 3: a radio bit to help promote the show, to help
- 49:09Speaker 3: load like the confetti cannons and stuff like that, and
- 49:11Speaker 3: kind of be a like a what do they call them?
- 49:14Speaker 3: My like not a stage hand, but what is the
- 49:17Speaker 3: ROADI yeah, it was a roady for the day, right,
- 49:20Speaker 3: And part of the roady thing was is I got
- 49:22Speaker 3: to meet the band, right, And so I got to
- 49:24Speaker 3: meet NICKI and I got to meet Tommy. Mick never
- 49:27Speaker 3: came out, but I remember this for sure. Now it
- 49:29Speaker 3: was about showtime. They're all out there on stage, and
- 49:32Speaker 3: this is true, This is one hundred percent true. They
- 49:35Speaker 3: are literally playing the opening of the first song and
- 49:38Speaker 3: Vince pulls up in a car, walks out of the
- 49:41Speaker 3: car onto the stage, does this show. The car stays
- 49:44Speaker 3: there with the.
- 49:45Speaker 4: Door open, He gets back in into sleeves.
- 49:48Speaker 3: The show, thank you, good night, case Simmy, blah blah blah,
- 49:51Speaker 3: We'll see you next year, whatever, he puts the mic
- 49:53Speaker 3: in the stand, walks right to the car and leaves.
- 49:55Speaker 3: Never said anything in the band, never interact interacted with him,
- 49:58Speaker 3: never made eye contact at all, came out, did the show,
- 50:01Speaker 3: and then left. And then Nikki and Tommy were there
- 50:04Speaker 3: the entire day. They were there hanging out like the
- 50:06Speaker 3: entire day. Mick marsh was like, I guess a sleep
- 50:08Speaker 3: in the room. But but and then we never had
- 50:10Speaker 3: in the other weird experiences with the Monkeys. We had
- 50:13Speaker 3: a weird experience with a couple of the members of
- 50:14Speaker 3: the Monkeys.
- 50:14Speaker 4: They were really well, It's always weird though, when you
- 50:17Speaker 4: really like a band, you know, and then something goes.
- 50:20Speaker 9: Wrong and they're like never never meet your heroes. Yeah, right,
- 50:23Speaker 9: and this sometimes again, just talking about this the other day.
- 50:26Speaker 9: You know, White Snake was gigantic in the eighties.
- 50:29Speaker 4: They were like one of my top five favorite bands, right, like.
- 50:31Speaker 3: One of the best. Then I want to and maybe
- 50:35Speaker 3: the most underrated guitar player of all time in the eighties.
- 50:39Speaker 3: What was that guy's name, Doug, I'm not gonna remember
- 50:43Speaker 3: the guy's name, Coverdale. He was the singer, oh, guitar player. Yeah, yeah,
- 50:48Speaker 3: I get it, because there's two of them, but the
- 50:50Speaker 3: one guy is that riff monster that played for them,
- 50:53Speaker 3: and that guy is a beast and he never gets
- 50:55Speaker 3: really talked about when it comes to the eighties guitar
- 50:58Speaker 3: hero John sykesg Doug doug Aldridge, that guy is a
- 51:02Speaker 3: monster guitar player.
- 51:03Speaker 15: Right.
- 51:04Speaker 3: Well, when they were coming in here for something, I
- 51:06Speaker 3: think maybe Coverdale was touring behind that other thing he did,
- 51:10Speaker 3: because he did a thing called Coverdale's Something. Yes it
- 51:13Speaker 3: wasn't it wasn't White Snake, it was Coverdale and then another,
- 51:15Speaker 3: but he did.
- 51:16Speaker 4: All the songs, had some other solo stuff he had.
- 51:19Speaker 3: So he comes in in the studio over there where
- 51:21Speaker 3: he used to be and I was expecting, like, oh
- 51:23Speaker 3: my god, this guy is going to be a nightmare,
- 51:25Speaker 3: you know, because I mean they you're just a gigantic band.
- 51:28Speaker 3: And he was like the nicest, most regal dude. You've polite,
- 51:34Speaker 3: like overboard English polite.
- 51:36Speaker 4: Oh I love that. That's good.
- 51:38Speaker 3: And he looked exactly like he did on stage. He's
- 51:40Speaker 3: like six', three he's, Giant he's got this, giant flowing curly.
- 51:44Speaker 3: Hair his waist is like a twenty. Two he's like
- 51:48Speaker 3: he's like he wears like twenty two forty two's had
- 51:52Speaker 3: these boots on and he was he sits down and, goes, hi,
- 51:54Speaker 3: gentleman what would you like to talk? About and he
- 51:56Speaker 3: was just like so cool, man that's good to. Know
- 51:59Speaker 3: and the other one was Like, styx Like Dennis. DeYoung
- 52:02Speaker 3: another one was one of this incredible artists that we
- 52:05Speaker 3: got to. Meet this band was bigger than life in the.
- 52:07Speaker 3: EIGHTIES i, en you're a six fan ever little? BIT
- 52:10Speaker 3: i mean, yeah but for, us like you, know for
- 52:12Speaker 3: in the late seventies and, Eighties styx was like a, mainstay.
- 52:16Speaker 3: RIGHT i mean they were one of the first bands
- 52:17Speaker 3: that did something kind of out of the box without
- 52:19Speaker 3: Mister roboto. Song yeah, right so that was kind of
- 52:21Speaker 3: a real far. Stretch even the band members didn't know
- 52:24Speaker 3: what to think about.
- 52:24Speaker 5: It.
- 52:24Speaker 3: Right, well So Dennis DeYoung comes, in it went and
- 52:27Speaker 3: again it's we expect this guy to have four people
- 52:29Speaker 3: around him if they escort him, in and this is
- 52:31Speaker 3: what you can say and this is what you can't,
- 52:33Speaker 3: say and all. That that's what we expected because this
- 52:35Speaker 3: guy was such a big. Star guy comes in with his,
- 52:38Speaker 3: Wife they set up a chair for, her he sets
- 52:40Speaker 3: a keyboard, down puts his mic right, here puts another
- 52:43Speaker 3: mic in front of the keyboard and looks us and,
- 52:44Speaker 3: goes what do you guys want to? Hear and then
- 52:46Speaker 3: gives us an hour and a half long concert and
- 52:49Speaker 3: it sounds exactly like the. Record it was. Good that
- 52:53Speaker 3: was one of the most incredible Experiences i've ever had
- 52:55Speaker 3: in this building was that day With dennis De young
- 52:57Speaker 3: From stick sitting there literally like a juke box playing.
- 53:00Speaker 3: It and you could probably still hear the recordings to this.
- 53:02Speaker 3: Day you could find the show and it's so, Perfect
- 53:05Speaker 3: like we couldn't get over how amazing it.
- 53:07Speaker 9: Sounded they play more he justus anything, else and we
- 53:11Speaker 9: were just yelling out.
- 53:12Speaker 3: Songs we were taking, calls they were yelling out. Songs
- 53:14Speaker 3: he was just banging that.
- 53:15Speaker 2: Out.
- 53:15Speaker 3: Awesome it was, great, man that's.
- 53:17Speaker 4: AWESOME i had one other time where one of my favorite,
- 53:20Speaker 4: Artists sarah McLaughlan all, right some of my, favorites, okay
- 53:22Speaker 4: AND i first started working in. Radio this was In, Austin.
- 53:25Speaker 4: Texas they Did Lilith, fair you, know so it, was you,
- 53:28Speaker 4: know all these women AND i was so pumped to
- 53:30Speaker 4: be there AND i was An INTERNET i was hanging
- 53:31Speaker 4: up signs for the radio station and she's starting to sound,
- 53:35Speaker 4: check and SO i just stop And i'm watching And i'm,
- 53:38Speaker 4: holding you, know my cape and my banner And i'm you,
- 53:41Speaker 4: know just standing there and she stopped singing and has
- 53:45Speaker 4: someone come tell me THAT.
- 53:47Speaker 3: I need to move?
- 53:48Speaker 4: Along oh my heart was like crushed, forever you, know
- 53:55Speaker 4: like my mom they went through a divorce like that
- 53:57Speaker 4: was like my, music you, know and just ruined it for.
- 54:01Speaker 3: Me that's wild, man move a. Lot and it's crazy
- 54:04Speaker 3: because earlier that when during that, talkback somebody took a
- 54:07Speaker 3: shot At creed right and they've gotten so much hate right,
- 54:10Speaker 3: well they like half the band lives In, orlando And
- 54:13Speaker 3: i've been lucky enough to meet not Only Mark, tremonti
- 54:16Speaker 3: BUT i actually got to play golf Of Scott phillips.
- 54:18Speaker 3: Once two of the nicest people you ever, know their

- 54:31Speaker 3: don't as much as you, know staff has been, POLARIZING
- 54:33Speaker 3: i can't say anything bad about the band because of
- 54:35Speaker 3: how cool they.
- 54:36Speaker 4: Are and look at them selling out. EVERYTHING i, mean
- 54:38Speaker 4: they're doing just.
- 54:39Speaker 3: Fine And Alter bridges are doing okay as. Well, yes.
- 54:41Speaker 9: Everybody and then he does His sinatra, stuff WHICH i
- 54:44Speaker 9: think is totally cool because that that would be my
- 54:47Speaker 9: secret great genie, Wish, yeah is to be able to
- 54:49Speaker 9: do that just scene Like sinatra.
- 54:53Speaker 6: Do that.
- 54:54Speaker 3: Stuff, Yeah, yeah that's. Fun who would you like to

- 59:21Speaker 3: away the, times like all the people that she met
- 59:23Speaker 3: on her, show all the people that we met from
- 59:25Speaker 3: doing our. Thing it's kind of cool to compare and
- 59:27Speaker 3: contrast those. Things it's, wild, Right it's, fun very fortunate
- 59:32Speaker 3: to have met some of the cool people that we
- 59:34Speaker 3: have and someone are kind of? Wild does that mean
- 59:36Speaker 3: it is? Me isn't?
- 59:37Speaker 5: It?
- 59:37Speaker 21: All?
- 59:38Speaker 3: Right four oh seven nine one six one four? One
- 59:40Speaker 3: SO i want to talk about this real quick BECAUSE
- 59:42Speaker 3: i don't understand something and maybe you can help me with.
- 59:44Speaker 21: This all?
- 59:44Speaker 3: Right so did you ever Watch Storage? WARS i? Did
- 59:48Speaker 3: did you?
- 59:49Speaker 1: Do you know what?
- 59:49Speaker 3: Happened?
- 59:50Speaker 4: WELL i don't know what, happened BUT i feel LIKE
- 59:52Speaker 4: i just read something here recent that. Happened.
- 59:54Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah so a storage War wars for people who
- 59:57Speaker 3: do not know what that. IS i, mean it's been
- 59:58Speaker 3: ON tv For Cheese louise ten twelve years or, whatever
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: and it's basically. This and by the, way who whoever
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: thought of this concept for THIS tv show could not
- 1:00:07Speaker 3: be more brilliant and they deserve every nickel they ever
- 1:00:10Speaker 3: made because it is super. Smart made me want to
- 1:00:12Speaker 3: buy a Storage my, GOD i can't imagine how many
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: people this this thing.
- 1:00:16Speaker 4: Broke, really my mom allegedly might do storage wars, really,
- 1:00:20Speaker 4: yes in real life now so she like, Auditioned, no
- 1:00:25Speaker 4: not on the, show but does it in real?
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: Life oh? Really?
- 1:00:28Speaker 4: Yeah like you're, Local like you do it? Online, now
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: you can do it. Online you can bid on.
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: Did you know?
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: This you.
- 1:00:36Speaker 6: Can.
- 1:00:36Speaker 4: Bid it only shows you pictures on the. Outside it
- 1:00:38Speaker 4: is not very you, know specific about things that are.
- 1:00:41Speaker 4: Inside but there's a lot of things that you'll learn
- 1:00:43Speaker 4: by looking at these. Things you bid until it's until
- 1:00:46Speaker 4: it ends Like eBay or something you, know and.
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: You'll get it and you'll go and you gotta go get.
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: It at a certain.
- 1:00:51Speaker 4: Time, yeah you have within twenty four, hours.
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: And you have to take everything in. It you can't
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: go pick up within twenty four, hours. Right and one
- 1:00:57Speaker 3: of the big things with The Storage wars when they
- 1:00:59Speaker 3: did the show is like people wondered if they opened
- 1:01:01Speaker 3: up those things, beforehand went through, it picked all the
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: good stuff out and did. That and that's still one
- 1:01:06Speaker 3: of the big concerns now because the people who run
- 1:01:08Speaker 3: the storage units do have that well some of them
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: do have, access some of them don't because the lock
- 1:01:12Speaker 3: you put, on so that's why they have to cut
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: the lock off all the. Time, yes but there that
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: was one of the. Things well for people who don't,
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: know it's exactly What mel. Said they set up A
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: tv show AND i think it was based on Of
- 1:01:22Speaker 3: vegas IF i remember, Right and basically this group of
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: people that were part of the show that all had different.
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: Personalities there was this one good looking, chicken her. Husband
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: there was this guy Who, yeah this, guy he would
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: do his thing and they would omit each. Other yeah
- 1:01:37Speaker 3: for these, units, right who DIDN'T i mean because it
- 1:01:40Speaker 3: was unique hester he Was, yeah he was that. Guy
- 1:01:45Speaker 3: and then there's there's a guy Named Darryl sheets And
- 1:01:47Speaker 3: Daryl sheets went by the name The, gambler and he
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: was kind of a, simpleton redneck kind of. GUY i
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: shouldn't say, simpleton but he kind of came off that like,
- 1:01:55Speaker 3: that you, know just kind of a real down to
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: earth kind of guy who went through and did this
- 1:01:59Speaker 3: thing and he got into this. Game and his relationship
- 1:02:02Speaker 3: With Dave, hester THE Yep, guy was kind of part
- 1:02:05Speaker 3: of what drove the show because they didn't like each
- 1:02:06Speaker 3: other on, camera you, know they had butted heads a,
- 1:02:09Speaker 3: Lot they'd try to outbit each other a, lot and
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: there was this obvious competition between the two of, them
- 1:02:13Speaker 3: WHICH i think actually gave the show kind of it's
- 1:02:15Speaker 3: heart for.
- 1:02:16Speaker 9: Sure, Right, yeah there's a, story was a backstory, there right,
- 1:02:19Speaker 9: exactly very very popular show for many many. YEARS i
- 1:02:22Speaker 9: think it's actually still in the air right.
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: Now so real.
- 1:02:24Speaker 9: Quick first of, All california it takes, okay, yeah because
- 1:02:28Speaker 9: after thirty six, days if you don't pay, rent that's
- 1:02:30Speaker 9: when they can. Now oh so they have access to
- 1:02:33Speaker 9: the units, there, yeah, yeah. Okay so it started in twenty.
- 1:02:36Speaker 9: Ten it was thirty minute episodes up until last year
- 1:02:40Speaker 9: when they expanded to sixty minute. Episodes how many episodes
- 1:02:44Speaker 9: you seventeen? Seasons how many episodes do you think are out?
- 1:02:47Speaker 22: There a?
- 1:02:48Speaker 3: Lot, yeah three hundred and forty. Nine, wow. Incredible and
- 1:02:51Speaker 3: they would take you through finding like rare coins and,
- 1:02:54Speaker 3: guns to, paintings to safes that were full of you,
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: know old gold. PIECE i, mean it was. Crazy and
- 1:03:00Speaker 3: then some people would spend five thousand dollars on a
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: unit and get a bunch of kids toys and old
- 1:03:04Speaker 3: clothes and it would be worth. Nothing but that was
- 1:03:05Speaker 3: kind of the. Fun, yeah you, ALMOST i mean you
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: basically got to sit back and watch these people treasure
- 1:03:10Speaker 3: hunt with their, money.
- 1:03:11Speaker 15: Right.
- 1:03:11Speaker 9: Yeah and the payoff at the end is when they
- 1:03:14Speaker 9: tell like what they were the value of what they
- 1:03:17Speaker 9: had based compared with what they spent.
- 1:03:20Speaker 3: On, yeah what they thought so that the whole exactly
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: What jack. Said they would take it to a pawn,
- 1:03:24Speaker 3: shopper to a dealer that helt in that special, thing
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: and they would kind of get the run down they
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: thought it was worth this much and blah blah blah blah.
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: Blah well the REASON i bring that up Is Darryl,
- 1:03:32Speaker 3: sheets the gambler, guy took his own.
- 1:03:34Speaker 9: Life oh he did take HIS i saw that he
- 1:03:36Speaker 9: had passed. Away, yeah he took his own, life, right
- 1:03:38Speaker 9: and he had a son AND i believe a. Wife
- 1:03:41Speaker 9: but the reason why IS i think the most kind
- 1:03:43Speaker 9: of unique.
- 1:03:44Speaker 3: Thing did you? Hear WHY i? DID i just thought
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: that HE i saw that he had passed. Away so
- 1:03:48Speaker 3: WHEN i saw WHEN i saw, THAT i, think, oh,
- 1:03:50Speaker 3: man you, KNOW tv got another, one because you get real, famous,
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: right and then of course it goes. Away you didn't
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: really prepare yourself for. Fame you were just digging in storage. Units,
- 1:03:59Speaker 3: yeah and fame kind of happened upon. You and for
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: people who don't, realize like if you don't prepare yourself for,
- 1:04:03Speaker 3: that you, know having notoriety is weird, Sometimes like it's really,
- 1:04:07Speaker 3: weird and we have it at a local level, sometimes
- 1:04:10Speaker 3: and it's been long gone for me from the, Monsters
- 1:04:12Speaker 3: LIKE i don't get noticed anywhere. Anymore but if you're
- 1:04:14Speaker 3: on a national television, show you're gonna get noticed a. Lot.
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: Right apparently he was cyberbullied so badly by another guy
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: that he took his own. Life and WHEN i saw this,
- 1:04:27Speaker 3: STORY i thought to, Myself Now i'm a relatively confident, guy,
- 1:04:31Speaker 3: RIGHT i could not imagine ever in my life that
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: another adult could bully me online digitally to the point
- 1:04:40Speaker 3: WHERE i would harm. Myself that's, terrible can? YOU i,
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: MEAN I i don't understand, it AND i guess maybe
- 1:04:48Speaker 3: BECAUSE i don't think it can happen to. ME i
- 1:04:51Speaker 3: don't know if this person who was Cyber and by the,
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: way the Guy Dave hester said that he made the
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: comment when they asked about him because they thought they
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: would have something sideways to, say because they kind of wanted.
- 1:04:59Speaker 3: IT i went at each other so much on the.
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: Show he, Said, no not only were is that not the.
- 1:05:03Speaker 3: Case i'm paying for all of his funeral expenses and
- 1:05:05Speaker 3: everything like that because he Was although we did butt
- 1:05:09Speaker 3: heads on the, show we understood our value to each
- 1:05:12Speaker 3: other on the. Program we understood that kind of had
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: to happen for the show to be. Valid and he
- 1:05:17Speaker 3: said that was a digital. Homicide he, said it wasn't
- 1:05:20Speaker 3: not a. Suicide this was a digital. Homicide that is.
- 1:05:23Speaker 3: Terrible isn't that?
- 1:05:24Speaker 4: Unbelievable like you could it's hard to imagine, really like
- 1:05:28Speaker 4: what could take place like that or what you're reading
- 1:05:30Speaker 4: or how like.
- 1:05:31Speaker 3: What could you possibly say to another LIKE i was
- 1:05:34Speaker 3: just thinking to, myself like IF i started cyber Bullying jack.
- 1:05:37Speaker 3: Tonight and let's just SAY i was just a random
- 1:05:41Speaker 3: listener of the, show BUT i Decided i'm going to
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: Target Jack bradshaw And i'm gonna start cyber Bullying. Jack
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: what WOULD i have to say To Jack bradshaw to
- 1:05:49Speaker 3: make him harm? Himself AND i will tell YOU i
- 1:05:52Speaker 3: went to the ends of my. POSSIBILITIES i couldn't think
- 1:05:54Speaker 3: of one. Thing, YEAH i could say to somebody Like
- 1:05:57Speaker 3: jack that hurt, himself the uh he was dealing with this,
- 1:06:01Speaker 3: narrel sheets was dealing with this for three three, years.
- 1:06:04Speaker 9: And it's just you, know something that built up over,
- 1:06:06Speaker 9: time and you don't know how certain people are going
- 1:06:10Speaker 9: to react to certain. Stimuli and he had a gun
- 1:06:14Speaker 9: and could he's done with?
- 1:06:16Speaker 5: It?
- 1:06:16Speaker 3: Yeah could you imagine?
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: That?
- 1:06:17Speaker 3: Jack, THOUGH i, mean And i'm, not by the, Way
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: i'm not being flip about. This this Is i'm not
- 1:06:22Speaker 3: trying to make light of this as to be. Joking
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: this is not the case at. All What i'm trying
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: to do is understand how somebody who's my. AGE i
- 1:06:29Speaker 3: think he was in his mid, fifties my, age AND
- 1:06:31Speaker 3: i don't know anything about his. HEALTH i know there
- 1:06:33Speaker 3: were a couple ARTICLES i read that said that he
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: may have had some health issues as, well but every
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: other ARTICLE i read said that it was because he
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: was cyber. Bullied and you hear that when it comes to,
- 1:06:42Speaker 3: kids because you can understand kids as, teenagers specifically.
- 1:06:45Speaker 4: Learning about, yourself you're. Vulnerable all those.
- 1:06:47Speaker 3: Girls, yeah who feel that they have something to kind
- 1:06:50Speaker 3: of live up to in, society whether it be a
- 1:06:52Speaker 3: beauty standard or an intellect standard or whatever the case may.
- 1:06:56Speaker 3: Be you could see that. Happening we hear about that
- 1:06:58Speaker 3: all the, time but none of grown, person, right like
- 1:07:01Speaker 3: a grown man with a career and a family and.
- 1:07:04Speaker 3: Stuff you couldn't imagine something like that.
- 1:07:06Speaker 4: HAPPENING i can't. Imagine that's terrible rumor or.
- 1:07:10Speaker 9: Thoughts people saying that he was suffering from, depression and
- 1:07:13Speaker 9: that's it when you combine that with mental, illness and
- 1:07:15Speaker 9: that is what you're hearing over and, over so competing
- 1:07:19Speaker 9: with the voice in your, head you now have a
- 1:07:21Speaker 9: voice outside your head saying horrible, things almost supporting what
- 1:07:25Speaker 9: you're talking about.
- 1:07:26Speaker 3: Yourself, yeah it can almost be.
- 1:07:28Speaker 9: Overwhelmed, well it is, Overwhelmed, yeah for many, people and
- 1:07:32Speaker 9: for people who suffer with different forms of mental.
- 1:07:34Speaker 3: Illness it's a real. Thing you don't see it on their.
- 1:07:38Speaker 9: Face it's not something visual like a broken, arm where
- 1:07:41Speaker 9: you just, understand, oh that person is, wounded that person is. Injured,
- 1:07:46Speaker 9: no it's something they carry around inside, them and with
- 1:07:49Speaker 9: that right or that wrong, voice it can lead to tragic.
- 1:07:55Speaker 9: Consequence that's, interesting, MAN i guess just but from the
- 1:07:58Speaker 9: nature of my.
- 1:07:59Speaker 3: Being he's in a relatively small town by you, know
- 1:08:02Speaker 3: people who are, like you, know get, up put some
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: dirt on, it you'll be fine type.
- 1:08:04Speaker 12: Thing you.
- 1:08:05Speaker 3: Know that whole, idea the idea of being that fragile
- 1:08:08Speaker 3: is kind of hard to explain. Understand and you, know,
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: Again i'm not saying that it can't be OR i
- 1:08:13Speaker 3: may not even wind up that way one. DAY i
- 1:08:15Speaker 3: don't know how you you don't know how age affects
- 1:08:18Speaker 3: you as you as you get a little, older how
- 1:08:19Speaker 3: that may come. ABOUT i, mean there are on set
- 1:08:21Speaker 3: scenarios that could create. That but like right, now it's
- 1:08:24Speaker 3: just so hard for me to understand how, somebody as
- 1:08:27Speaker 3: a grown person who's made it this far in, life
- 1:08:30Speaker 3: had the adversity of making it this far in. Life you,
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: know could be pushed to that. POINT i just don't get.
- 1:08:35Speaker 4: It that's very. SAD i had no idea about.
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: That, yeah, yeah it's. Crazy.
- 1:08:39Speaker 4: Right, well the fact that you have Your instagram or
- 1:08:43Speaker 4: your whatever sources of social media that you're, using you
- 1:08:45Speaker 4: also probably don't sit and go through all your messages
- 1:08:49Speaker 4: and things like.
- 1:08:49Speaker 3: That, yeah AND i do not like that's. Different, yeah, yeah,
- 1:08:52Speaker 3: yeah AND i don't care. Either that's another thing, too
- 1:08:54Speaker 3: is LIKE, i you, KNOW i JUST i at a
- 1:08:55Speaker 3: very young, AGE i, realized, like your opinion is not
- 1:08:58Speaker 3: going to change. Me i'm not gonna you, know you
- 1:09:00Speaker 3: can have an. Opinion that's, fine it's not gonna hurt my.
- 1:09:02Speaker 3: FEELINGS i don't get my feelings hurt by, Words so
- 1:09:05Speaker 3: it doesn't really work like that for. Me BUT i
- 1:09:07Speaker 3: would never sit and read. Comments BUT i also don't
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: seek out adulation from people like. THAT i don't seek
- 1:09:12Speaker 3: out that kind of support from people like. That Some
- 1:09:15Speaker 3: texters are saying people they were creating or this.
- 1:09:18Speaker 9: Person maybe it's one person creating a fake account in his,
- 1:09:22Speaker 9: name making him look bad. Publicly someone else mentioned making
- 1:09:27Speaker 9: him look like a, pedophile also attacking his. Family and
- 1:09:30Speaker 9: for someone who's already. Suffering it could have just seemed
- 1:09:33Speaker 9: like there was no escape from, this you.
- 1:09:36Speaker 3: Know, jack the double edged sort of that maybe is
- 1:09:39Speaker 3: maybe one of the other things THAT i, think you,
- 1:09:40Speaker 3: know we could also deal with, here is because it's
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: mandatory that we have Social, like we don't have a.
- 1:09:45Speaker 3: CHOICE i. CAN'T i can't in my. Account you can't
- 1:09:47Speaker 3: do yours, either you, Know jack cannot in his. Accounts you,
- 1:09:50Speaker 3: know it is mandatory that we have social media accounts
- 1:09:53Speaker 3: as part of this radio. Broadcast you, know it's part
- 1:09:55Speaker 3: of our, contracts, DUDE i, mean it's part of it's
- 1:09:58Speaker 3: part of what we, do, Right So i'm sure on
- 1:10:01Speaker 3: a national television, show they're probably still bound to that same.
- 1:10:04Speaker 3: Thing you have to have social. Media you have to
- 1:10:06Speaker 3: be out there digitally so that we're not when we
- 1:10:08Speaker 3: are not on the, air you're still making contact with
- 1:10:11Speaker 3: somebody who could watch the. Show three years is a long.
- 1:10:15Speaker 4: Time it is a long.
- 1:10:16Speaker 3: Time that's, amazing isn't it? CRAZY i can't imagine that
- 1:10:19Speaker 3: you would never say anything to a. Copper maybe maybe,
- 1:10:21Speaker 3: investigate BUT i, mean what would you. Say this guy's
- 1:10:24Speaker 3: call me bad? Names it seems it seems illegal that
- 1:10:26Speaker 3: you could maybe he, Did, yeah all right FOUR o
- 1:10:29Speaker 3: seven nine one six ONE o four one text us

- 1:11:57Speaker 2: or WE'RE. TV i don't get somebody can bully me.
- 1:12:03Speaker 22: They're on a.
- 1:12:03Speaker 9: Screen to something make me take my.
- 1:12:05Speaker 6: Life you cannot.
- 1:12:08Speaker 3: Be bullied that much unless you really get something wrong with.
- 1:12:11Speaker 9: You thanks.
- 1:12:13Speaker 20: Man, hey Jem i'd have to say you are way
- 1:12:16Speaker 20: off face with only young girls have mental health concerns
- 1:12:20Speaker 20: or body.
- 1:12:21Speaker 3: Issues that's not WHAT i.
- 1:12:22Speaker 20: SAID i would say a far more majority of men
- 1:12:26Speaker 20: are mentally disturbed on a daily basis and struggle with
- 1:12:30Speaker 20: mental health. Issues it's not just a woman.
- 1:12:32Speaker 6: Thing i'm gonna be honest with you.
- 1:12:34Speaker 3: There, yeah, dude let.
- 1:12:35Speaker 18: Me clear that.
- 1:12:35Speaker 3: Up so WHAT i said was WHEN i was talking
- 1:12:38Speaker 3: to Mel is the idea of young ladies dealing with
- 1:12:41Speaker 3: the pressures of being, pretty not, skinny whatever the case may.
- 1:12:45Speaker 3: Be dudes don't deal with. That i'm not saying that
- 1:12:47Speaker 3: dudes don't deal with any of that, stuff but they
- 1:12:50Speaker 3: don't deal with it the way that girls have to
- 1:12:52Speaker 3: deal with. It and that's not saying that one is
- 1:12:53Speaker 3: greater than the, other BECAUSE i know young men are
- 1:12:56Speaker 3: in prices right now as. WELL i, mean they're having difficulties,
- 1:13:00Speaker 3: identity they're having difficulties creating a social set to meet a,
- 1:13:04Speaker 3: girl and if they, can't it's starting to turn and
- 1:13:07Speaker 3: kind of create these this really unique set of young
- 1:13:10Speaker 3: males who are angry because they can't find somebody that
- 1:13:14Speaker 3: they can kind of gel with or something.
- 1:13:15Speaker 4: There and maybe it's just not talked about as much,
- 1:13:17Speaker 4: either you know when it comes to, men that's you,
- 1:13:19Speaker 4: KNOW i, MEAN i have four, boys so obviously it's
- 1:13:21Speaker 4: something for me that LIKE i will live in a different.
- 1:13:24Speaker 9: World right, then we have come so far in being
- 1:13:28Speaker 9: able to discuss mental health in a capacity where in
- 1:13:33Speaker 9: the past it was never. Done but it's still not
- 1:13:36Speaker 9: all the way, there and there are still people who
- 1:13:38Speaker 9: are ashamed because of like and Maybe, honestly it's for
- 1:13:43Speaker 9: how it's looked. At, well you're, saying, WELL i don't.
- 1:13:45Speaker 9: Understand how can you be bullied into doing? That when
- 1:13:48Speaker 9: combined with mental illness and, depression it's an overwhelming weight of.
- 1:13:54Speaker 9: Times now people are texting that there's With Daryl. Sheets
- 1:13:59Speaker 9: you're talking to the guy From Storage wars who took
- 1:14:01Speaker 9: his life and complained and was attributed to the mental
- 1:14:06Speaker 9: the cyber bullying over the past three. Years according to
- 1:14:09Speaker 9: the people texting us saying he was trying to get
- 1:14:12Speaker 9: help for it and trying to stop. It this person
- 1:14:15Speaker 9: was impersonating them and ruining his business and really affecting
- 1:14:19Speaker 9: all last ye when you combine that along with depression and,
- 1:14:24Speaker 9: stuff it just for him he saw no way out.
- 1:14:28Speaker 3: Right and that's. Understood obviously that's the case because we
- 1:14:31Speaker 3: have the. Story WHAT i was telling you IS i
- 1:14:32Speaker 3: can't relate to that Because i've not experienced that. Before and,
- 1:14:36Speaker 3: again LIKE i said, before doesn't MEAN i won't experience
- 1:14:39Speaker 3: them BEFORE i pass. Away it could start. TOMORROW i
- 1:14:41Speaker 3: just haven't experienced that. Yet AND i think it's also
- 1:14:44Speaker 3: important to SAY i do believe that that young men
- 1:14:47Speaker 3: right now are in a bit of an identity crisis
- 1:14:50Speaker 3: for a number of, reasons AND i do believe that
- 1:14:52Speaker 3: social media makes life on them very. DIFFICULT i still
- 1:14:55Speaker 3: believe that young ladies go through it, worse AND i
- 1:14:58Speaker 3: WILL i will believe. THAT i just AND i don't
- 1:15:00Speaker 3: even have any. Data it just seems like it asks
- 1:15:04Speaker 3: more of young ladies than it does young. Men BUT
- 1:15:06Speaker 3: i don't even know if that's. True it just seems
- 1:15:08Speaker 3: like that to. Me, NOW i don't. Disagree i'm really
- 1:15:13Speaker 3: thinking about. Three do you have? DAUGHTERS i have three
- 1:15:17Speaker 3: daughters in a summer, right and you have and you
- 1:15:20Speaker 3: have you have, daughters only. DAUGHTERS i have three. Daughters,
- 1:15:22Speaker 3: now my daughters don't look at like. That they don't
- 1:15:25Speaker 3: like that's not and and they're not like tied into
- 1:15:28Speaker 3: social media so much that it's part of their. Life
- 1:15:30Speaker 3: they have lives outside of, that but they. Don't there's
- 1:15:33Speaker 3: none of that with. THEM i don't know if they
- 1:15:36Speaker 3: just got. Lucky and my son is, confident well he
- 1:15:38Speaker 3: doesn't have that, either But i'm not saying he. Can't
- 1:15:41Speaker 3: they just don't have it.
- 1:15:42Speaker 4: Now social media is such.
- 1:15:43Speaker 3: Pressure, yeah, yeah do YOU i, mean do you're you
- 1:15:45Speaker 3: said your boys don't have any access to it right.
- 1:15:47Speaker 4: Now, now no social. Media they want a YouTube, channel
- 1:15:50Speaker 4: but they just want to, fish you, know so they
- 1:15:53Speaker 4: want to have a fishing channel that's like their.
- 1:15:54Speaker 3: Thing how do you guys regulate? That that's interesting BECAUSE i,
- 1:15:58Speaker 3: mean your boys are very. Unique they're good looking, ways
- 1:16:00Speaker 3: and they're they have cool, names and you guys are great.
- 1:16:03Speaker 3: Parents you and your husband are wonderful, parents and you've
- 1:16:06Speaker 3: raised them to be, really really good young. Men make that, money,
- 1:16:10Speaker 3: Girl that's What i'm. Saying get them on that YouTube
- 1:16:13Speaker 3: he just.
- 1:16:13Speaker 4: Started it's a very new, thing BUT i know everything he.
- 1:16:16Speaker 4: Posts it's very it's very good with The gmail thing
- 1:16:20Speaker 4: that it tells you exactly everything he, posts what all the,
- 1:16:22Speaker 4: videos SO i see them before they even go. UP
- 1:16:24Speaker 4: i think it's, good BUT i can understand how it
- 1:16:27Speaker 4: can also be.
- 1:16:29Speaker 3: Something when my guys got, on we had this. Thing
- 1:16:32Speaker 3: jack actually kind of alluded to it a little bit
- 1:16:34Speaker 3: earlier that one of the rules once they got their phones,
- 1:16:38Speaker 3: WAS i, KNOW i have to know your, password and
- 1:16:40Speaker 3: at any given, moment WHEN i walk up to, YOU
- 1:16:43Speaker 3: i can take your phone from, you and IF i
- 1:16:45Speaker 3: popp in your, password your your code that you've given
- 1:16:47Speaker 3: me and it doesn't, Work i'm breaking the phone in.
- 1:16:49Speaker 3: Half that's, good that's. Good we're basically taking it away from, you, RIGHT.
- 1:16:52Speaker 4: I MEAN i have a second grader who some of
- 1:16:54Speaker 4: his friends have phones. Already, yeah, yeah and it's you,
- 1:16:57Speaker 4: Know i'm not ready for all.
- 1:16:58Speaker 3: That and that's. Well, look here's the. Thing you have
- 1:17:00Speaker 3: one going in the seventh. Grade let me tell you
- 1:17:02Speaker 3: that's where the pressure really. HITS i, Mean i'm sure
- 1:17:03Speaker 3: that almost everybody around him has a cell, phone and
- 1:17:06Speaker 3: it kind of almost makes him an odd man. Out
- 1:17:08Speaker 3: and that's that's kind of on the same sense as, well,
- 1:17:11Speaker 3: Right or do you find other parents are.
- 1:17:12Speaker 4: Doing, that other parents are doing that, too become a little,
- 1:17:16Speaker 4: packed you, know or they might just have it because
- 1:17:17Speaker 4: they come, over but they don't have it all the, time, right, right,
- 1:17:19Speaker 4: Right but when any of those kids have the, phones
- 1:17:22Speaker 4: they're glued on those.
- 1:17:24Speaker 9: And whatever you do with that first one or the
- 1:17:26Speaker 9: other three are. Watching so it's like you're setting a.
- 1:17:28Speaker 9: Precedent so it's important to get it right from The
- 1:17:30Speaker 9: so SURE i agree with you and stay on the
- 1:17:33Speaker 9: same team with your. Husband they will find that. Gap
- 1:17:36Speaker 9: they will find where mom and dad have a difference
- 1:17:39Speaker 9: of opinion on, something and they will exploit it like
- 1:17:42Speaker 9: the little miserable people lay on saying how great your kids,
- 1:17:46Speaker 9: ARE i, know especially if they're middle schoolers or human
- 1:17:49Speaker 9: beings on.
- 1:17:49Speaker 3: The, point he's not there.
- 1:17:51Speaker 4: YET i mean he's sixth, grade but he's still, like you, know.
- 1:17:55Speaker 3: He's almost.
- 1:17:55Speaker 4: THERE i know it's seventh.
- 1:17:57Speaker 3: Grade very. Careful middle schoolers are the, worst most dangerous
- 1:18:01Speaker 3: human beings on. PLANET i agree with.
- 1:18:02Speaker 4: YOU i was, ONE i remember, two so it just
- 1:18:04Speaker 4: some one of the YEARS i actually.
- 1:18:05Speaker 3: Remember, yeah when you WHENEVER i see, eleven, twelve thirteen year,
- 1:18:08Speaker 3: OLDER i, RUN i GET i crossed the. ROAD i
- 1:18:11Speaker 3: mean like they're literally holding a bloody, knife one one
- 1:18:14Speaker 3: in the.
- 1:18:14Speaker 4: Other i'm about to have an eleven year old and
- 1:18:17Speaker 4: a twelve year.
- 1:18:17Speaker 3: Old zero chance you're, done zero.
- 1:18:19Speaker 4: Chance just Move, wow thanks for the. CONFIDENCE i appreciate
- 1:18:22Speaker 4: that very. Much thank. YOU i got this not from.
- 1:18:25Speaker 3: Gym i'm what a good parent.
- 1:18:31Speaker 6: With.
- 1:18:31Speaker 3: Me just move, Away just just lock the door one
- 1:18:35Speaker 3: day and take. Off you had to. Look when my
- 1:18:37Speaker 3: kids are in middle, school it was a. Nightmare like
- 1:18:40Speaker 3: every single day they came home and said this happened
- 1:18:42Speaker 3: in school, today and when?
- 1:18:43Speaker 15: When?
- 1:18:43Speaker 3: WHEN i say this. Happened it was a kid bunching a.
- 1:18:46Speaker 3: Teacher it was.
- 1:18:48Speaker 9: Crazy are your kids in like public? SCHOOL i, know,
- 1:18:50Speaker 9: okay public school totally different machine. KIDS i worked ten thousand, hours.
- 1:18:57Speaker 3: Put my kids the. Military they went to these public
- 1:18:59Speaker 3: school and we'renge. Counting Good, god almighty. Dude, yeah it's,
- 1:19:02Speaker 3: crazy all? Right four oh seven nine one six one four. One,
- 1:19:05Speaker 3: again you can always text our show at seven seven
- 1:19:08Speaker 3: zero three. ONE i did want to talk about the
- 1:19:11Speaker 3: story ABOUT, Tmi and there's a great story on THE
- 1:19:14Speaker 3: ap today about sharing ABOUT. Tmi too much information for
- 1:19:19Speaker 3: people who don't understand THAT i.
- 1:19:20Speaker 5: Can.
- 1:19:20Speaker 3: LOOK i had to remind. Myself i'm not, savvy you.
- 1:19:23Speaker 5: Know?
- 1:19:23Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah? Uh AND i do you do? This do
- 1:19:26Speaker 3: you share very much with other?
- 1:19:28Speaker 4: People not Unless i'm in. CONVERSATION i Mean i'll chat of.
- 1:19:31Speaker 3: Course do you have a confidant in your? Life what
- 1:19:34Speaker 3: do You? Oh, YEAH i do have somebody that you
- 1:19:36Speaker 3: can share. That ok it's not your? Husband, yeah, yeah
- 1:19:38Speaker 3: you do you have a friend like?
- 1:19:39Speaker 5: That?
- 1:19:39Speaker 4: GIRLS i have some.
- 1:19:40Speaker 3: Girlfriends, yeah, MAN i think that's a girl thinks. SPECIFICALLY
- 1:19:44Speaker 3: i don't think dudes have. That LIKE i don't have
- 1:19:46Speaker 3: somebody THAT i can kind of pull it to the
- 1:19:48Speaker 3: side and go and, look this is by the, way
- 1:19:51Speaker 3: this is my issue and has nothing to do with anybody.
- 1:19:53Speaker 3: Else this is me not trusting anybody or anything for
- 1:19:55Speaker 3: the most of my. Life. Yeah SO i would never
- 1:19:58Speaker 3: in a million years or something that would be so
- 1:20:01Speaker 3: personal THAT i could to get it off my chest
- 1:20:04Speaker 3: BECAUSE i wouldn't trust anybody THAT i told it.
- 1:20:06Speaker 4: To that's kind of sound it is.
- 1:20:08Speaker 9: Said it is, Said, well guys notoriously and famously will
- 1:20:15Speaker 9: not share their feelings as much and readily as. Women
- 1:20:20Speaker 9: you are kind of almost at the far end of.
- 1:20:24Speaker 9: THAT i would, say, yeah but you know, What i'll
- 1:20:27Speaker 9: tell you something. Else And jack doesn't even know. THIS
- 1:20:28Speaker 9: i probably shared more personal stuff With jack about my
- 1:20:31Speaker 9: life THAT i would never share with anybody, else even
- 1:20:34Speaker 9: my Buddy Code black THAT i don't have that kind of.
- 1:20:36Speaker 9: Relationship But jack AND i have a bit of a
- 1:20:38Speaker 9: parallel existence in some, ways and we've had some interesting
- 1:20:42Speaker 9: things in our lives happen that kind of paralleled each.
- 1:20:44Speaker 9: Other and so we have had, conversations pretty deep conversations
- 1:20:48Speaker 9: about raising, kids about being, married about all these.
- 1:20:50Speaker 3: Things and did you even know that, dude did you
- 1:20:53Speaker 3: know that some of that stuff that we've talked about is,
- 1:20:54Speaker 3: like you're the only Person i've talked to that.
- 1:20:56Speaker 9: ABOUT i didn't KNOW i was the only, one BUT
- 1:20:58Speaker 9: i knew that was that was something that you were
- 1:21:02Speaker 9: you don't share with Many and it's it's actually both
- 1:21:06Speaker 9: ways BECAUSE i don't have a lot of people WHERE
- 1:21:08Speaker 9: i talk like that. Too ross has been uh with
- 1:21:13Speaker 9: his addition to the show and just the amount of
- 1:21:17Speaker 9: Time i've spent with, him has been a person who
- 1:21:20Speaker 9: has helped me open up more to the idea, of you,
- 1:21:24Speaker 9: know having better male friends and communication right with.
- 1:21:30Speaker 3: Them and it's hard for us and, HIM i love
- 1:21:32Speaker 3: you in the. Hugs yeah, yeah oh, yeah that's good
- 1:21:35Speaker 3: for me. Too i'm gonna be dead honest With it's
- 1:21:36Speaker 3: been good for me Because i'll tell, YOU i, KNOW
- 1:21:38Speaker 3: i used to never say, that and NOW i have
- 1:21:39Speaker 3: no problem saying it same. Here yeah, yeah BECAUSE i
- 1:21:42Speaker 3: mean he's he's like a real and Warm oh, yeah
- 1:21:46Speaker 3: it's it's. Uncomfortable it's very uncomfortable how loving and warm he.
- 1:21:50Speaker 15: Is that's.
- 1:21:51Speaker 4: Fine but if he's always like that and that's who he,
- 1:21:53Speaker 4: is that's the best, then.
- 1:21:55Speaker 9: Right but definitely Move jim AND i out of our emotional.
- 1:21:58Speaker 9: Silos you, know well at least we're kind of out
- 1:22:02Speaker 9: in the yard.
- 1:22:02Speaker 3: Now. Yeah, YEAH I i'll tell you how sad this. Is,
- 1:22:04Speaker 3: LIKE i don't want you to have anything on. Me
- 1:22:07Speaker 3: that's exactly what it. Is AND i don't care who you.
- 1:22:08Speaker 3: Are you could be my, brother you could be my.
- 1:22:10Speaker 3: UNCLE i don't want.
- 1:22:12Speaker 4: You maybe that's how you grew. Up you said you grew.
- 1:22:14Speaker 4: Up you just you, know rub dirt on, it, right
- 1:22:17Speaker 4: you're keeping it all.
- 1:22:18Speaker 3: In, yeah but and that's, dangerous, manus it really. Is
- 1:22:20Speaker 3: it can it can get.
- 1:22:21Speaker 4: OVERWHELMING i MEAN i would say with girls, stuff you,
- 1:22:23Speaker 4: KNOW i get with my girls every you, know a
- 1:22:26Speaker 4: few weeks or. Something but there also is a lot
- 1:22:28Speaker 4: of times wine involves where you know WHAT i. Mean
- 1:22:31Speaker 4: like then it's a like share, all you, Know but
- 1:22:33Speaker 4: it is. HEALTHY i think most of the time to
- 1:22:36Speaker 4: just chit chat and talk about.
- 1:22:38Speaker 3: It and that's wild because IF i, drink that's WHEN
- 1:22:40Speaker 3: i get even. Quieter that's like WHEN i double shut
- 1:22:43Speaker 3: up Because I'm i'm. Cognizant i'm, like you're, drunk, dude
- 1:22:45Speaker 3: shut your damn. Mouth, quiet be. Quiet you want to say.
- 1:22:48Speaker 6: It you want.
- 1:22:49Speaker 3: TO i can feel you want to yell, it but
- 1:22:51Speaker 3: you better not yell. It but you know what we jack,
- 1:22:54Speaker 3: again we're. Dads we have a lot of. Kids kids
- 1:22:57Speaker 3: cause issues sometimes and sometimes you needed somebody outside of
- 1:23:01Speaker 3: your wife to explain that to or, understand especially another
- 1:23:04Speaker 3: male that's going through the same, thing because we all
- 1:23:06Speaker 3: process information. Differently and if you're trying to maintain that
- 1:23:10Speaker 3: integrity as a, father you, know and you want them
- 1:23:13Speaker 3: to look at you as that stoic dad that's there
- 1:23:15Speaker 3: at any given. Time you also, stop you don't want
- 1:23:17Speaker 3: to share with them because you don't want to give them.
- 1:23:19Speaker 3: Anything they're, like oh look this, guy wouldn't you tell?
- 1:23:21Speaker 3: Me and you're this guy behind the. Scenes you. Know
- 1:23:23Speaker 3: you want to maintain that. Image that's super important so
- 1:23:26Speaker 3: they look at you with, respect you, know even though
- 1:23:29Speaker 3: you get, That so, YEAH i get. That what's the
- 1:23:31Speaker 3: story are you supposed to be?
- 1:23:32Speaker 4: SHARING? Tmi is that like it's supposed to be good for?
- 1:23:35Speaker 21: You so?
- 1:23:35Speaker 3: Interesting the story, says it's all about. Context, like you,
- 1:23:38Speaker 3: know if you went out on a date and you
- 1:23:40Speaker 3: took home a friend that's going to be there for a, while,
- 1:23:42Speaker 3: right you had a one night, stand it's gonna last
- 1:23:44Speaker 3: forever if you feel me like you. Can you can
- 1:23:47Speaker 3: obviously share that with your doctor or people that are,
- 1:23:49Speaker 3: close but you don't tell your boss that you know
- 1:23:51Speaker 3: things like. That so what they're basically saying is the

- 1:38:18Speaker 3: Why it's just Something i've never really acclimated to BECAUSE
- 1:38:21Speaker 3: i know people who love going there and doing production and.
- 1:38:24Speaker 3: Stuff it never really kind of hit me like. That
- 1:38:26Speaker 3: and Then jane dropped the bomb on how much time
- 1:38:28Speaker 3: she has to spend in the, studio and it is mind.
- 1:38:31Speaker 3: Numbing it's probably the.
- 1:38:32Speaker 4: SAME i would. THINK i, mean sometimes it's like seven
- 1:38:34Speaker 4: people to cover for me If i'm out for a few.
- 1:38:36Speaker 3: Days really, yeah, Wow, yeah she. Said she gets, up
- 1:38:39Speaker 3: does her morning, stuff AND i think she after her,
- 1:38:42Speaker 3: meeting she gets into our studio around ten thirty and
- 1:38:44Speaker 3: doesn't get out under like five thirty in the. Afternoon oh,
- 1:38:46Speaker 3: yeah for. Sure she was in there for like seven, hours.
- 1:38:49Speaker 4: Seven hours probably every.
- 1:38:50Speaker 14: Day.
- 1:38:50Speaker 4: Yeah but THEN i also in the morning at the,
- 1:38:52Speaker 4: kids SO i got to get all four of them
- 1:38:53Speaker 4: ready to go to, school and their lunch is made
- 1:38:55Speaker 4: and breakfast. Done and so that's why My tuesdays And.
- 1:38:58Speaker 4: THURSDAYS i start out four am BECAUSE i have.
- 1:39:01Speaker 3: To, well thank GOD i offered, this this for. This,
- 1:39:05Speaker 3: hey you want to add some stuff.
- 1:39:06Speaker 4: To Your oh, No i'm glad to be. Here i'm
- 1:39:08Speaker 4: happy to be.
- 1:39:08Speaker 6: Here thank.
- 1:39:08Speaker 3: YOU i appreciate it so. Much you have no, idea,
- 1:39:10Speaker 3: Really thank? You all right four seven nine six one
- 1:39:13Speaker 3: four one text us at seven seven zero, three wind'll
- 1:39:15Speaker 3: Forget tomorrow we will be talking to The Central Florida.
- 1:39:17Speaker 3: Zoo have you been following the sloth world? Tragedy it is, banana.
- 1:39:22Speaker 3: Dude it is like everywhere. Now today was On reuters And,
- 1:39:26Speaker 3: newsweek and yesterday WAS Cbs. News It's reuter's Like international.
- 1:39:31Speaker 6: News.
- 1:39:32Speaker 3: Yeah and AND i think you know what the funny thing.
- 1:39:34Speaker 3: IS i think it's because of the the lovable nature
- 1:39:40Speaker 3: of the. Animal LIKE i believe if this was, porcupines
- 1:39:44Speaker 3: LIKE i don't know if it would have the same
- 1:39:45Speaker 3: vibe or if it was, like you, know some kind
- 1:39:47Speaker 3: of amphibian or, like nobody would be like freaking. Out
- 1:39:50Speaker 3: but Because sloss seems so innocent and so harmless and so,
- 1:39:55Speaker 3: docile do we.
- 1:39:56Speaker 4: Know like the full full story, NOW i mean it
- 1:39:58Speaker 4: seems as the parts were coming out and.
- 1:40:00Speaker 3: WELL i mean what we know is as they were
- 1:40:03Speaker 3: building out the actual place where the slaws were going
- 1:40:06Speaker 3: to be, held they were housing them in a warehouse
- 1:40:10Speaker 3: that used to be like a like a mechanics, shop,
- 1:40:12Speaker 3: Right and what we heard was is they had them
- 1:40:15Speaker 3: and we and what we can't figure out is why
- 1:40:17Speaker 3: they why they got them so early if they knew
- 1:40:20Speaker 3: that the facility wasn't going to be built out in,
- 1:40:22Speaker 3: Time why did you have the sloss in an area
- 1:40:25Speaker 3: where you couldn't really take care of them the way
- 1:40:28Speaker 3: that you're supposed. To but of course they are extremely
- 1:40:31Speaker 3: vulnerable to cold weather because they're not used to cold
- 1:40:34Speaker 3: weather at. All, yeah and they were here during the,
- 1:40:36Speaker 3: freeze and so they got cold stunned in in the
- 1:40:41Speaker 3: warehouse because apparently the heating system they tried to use
- 1:40:45Speaker 3: short circuited and stopped.
- 1:40:47Speaker 9: WORKING i mean space heators on extension. Cords, yeah in
- 1:40:50Speaker 9: a warehouse that was only licensed to hold. Cars, yeah that.
- 1:40:54Speaker 4: Gotcha, okay BECAUSE i just feel like more of the
- 1:40:57Speaker 4: story has been coming.
- 1:40:57Speaker 3: Out, also the purveyor of these things THAT i guess
- 1:41:01Speaker 3: is In peru sent them over and they apparently one
- 1:41:04Speaker 3: of the shipments of sloss they were in terrible. SHAPE
- 1:41:07Speaker 3: a number of them already passed. Away some of them
- 1:41:10Speaker 3: were so emaciated they couldn't make. It and as we
- 1:41:13Speaker 3: know right, now out of THE i think thirty one
- 1:41:17Speaker 3: died or was what it, was thirty one of them
- 1:41:19Speaker 3: report like THIRTEEN i guess are now at the zoo
- 1:41:22Speaker 3: under their care and they're quarantine for thirty to sixty,
- 1:41:26Speaker 3: days AND i hear a couple of those are day to.
- 1:41:29Speaker 3: Day the other ones are apparently coming. Along, okay we'll
- 1:41:31Speaker 3: get a FULL i.
- 1:41:32Speaker 4: Like bring them back to just get them healthy outa, yeah.
- 1:41:34Speaker 3: And then the zoo is going to redistribute them to
- 1:41:37Speaker 3: other zoo facilities that have this specific. Accreditation do you
- 1:41:40Speaker 3: remember what that, Was? Jack they, Actually, yeah that's exactly
- 1:41:45Speaker 3: like An azya accreditation that allows you to handle and
- 1:41:48Speaker 3: deal with sloss and do it. Properly but, Man i've
- 1:41:51Speaker 3: not seen backlash to a news story that didn't involve
- 1:41:55Speaker 3: like human loss in a long. Time, yeah it's being crazy.
- 1:42:00Speaker 3: Terrible so we'll we'll get an update from the zoo
- 1:42:02Speaker 3: on how the ones that did make it through are.
- 1:42:05Speaker 3: Going and then of course we know for now that
- 1:42:06Speaker 3: the soft world has follwed. Bankruptcy they're not gonna. Open
- 1:42:09Speaker 3: and NOW i guess the big hurdle is is all
- 1:42:12Speaker 3: the people who bought.
- 1:42:13Speaker 9: Tickets that's WHAT i, saw who bought those early annual.
- 1:42:16Speaker 9: PASSES i got bad news for you.
- 1:42:18Speaker 3: Guys, yeah. Bankround it doesn't look. Good bankruptcy is the
- 1:42:22Speaker 3: worst word you ever want to. Hear when it comes to,
- 1:42:24Speaker 3: that you do not want to hear the word bankruptcy
- 1:42:26Speaker 3: because what that. Doy they're gonna go into, court gonna
- 1:42:28Speaker 3: they're gonna take the. Money they're gonna pay the vendors
- 1:42:30Speaker 3: that are, first and then you get what's left. Over
- 1:42:33Speaker 3: so if you get, five, ten, twenty, thirty fifty, bucks,
- 1:42:36Speaker 3: whatever consider yourself, lucky because chances are not gonna.
- 1:42:40Speaker 9: HAPPEN i think it was about forty nine dollars a
- 1:42:42Speaker 9: ticket they were selling, them so you figure.
- 1:42:44Speaker 3: The annual passes were like over, three weren't. They, oh that's.
- 1:42:48Speaker 3: HAPPEN i thought the annual. Passes you, remember if you,
- 1:42:50Speaker 3: remember the initial push was for annual passes because that
- 1:42:53Speaker 3: was part of the capital they were gonna use to
- 1:42:56Speaker 3: help do the build out and start the. Business and
- 1:42:58Speaker 3: they already had incredible. BRANDING i, mean there's the that's
- 1:43:00Speaker 3: the logo right. THERE i, MEAN i know you brought
- 1:43:02Speaker 3: in your own mouse pad. Today it's.
- 1:43:06Speaker 4: Cute it's.
- 1:43:07Speaker 3: CUTE i think they did a good job on, That
- 1:43:09Speaker 3: like we had him in the. Studio, Yeah and it
- 1:43:12Speaker 3: so happens, that like the day after they came into the,
- 1:43:15Speaker 3: studio one of the guys that was with them and
- 1:43:18Speaker 3: worked there was a guy that used to work here
- 1:43:20Speaker 3: and he left the next, day and nobody really said,
- 1:43:25Speaker 3: anything BUT i heard the grape. VINE i don't know
- 1:43:26Speaker 3: how true it, is BUT i heard the grape vine
- 1:43:28Speaker 3: that that once that person found out like how they
- 1:43:32Speaker 3: looked at the slaws and how they how they can
- 1:43:34Speaker 3: because he looked at, it it's like a conservation effort type.
- 1:43:36Speaker 3: Thing and apparently that wasn't the case at. All and
- 1:43:39Speaker 3: once he kind of got the inside information on what
- 1:43:41Speaker 3: was going to, happen what was really happening, there he.
- 1:43:43Speaker 4: Dipped and by the, way this is not my sloth.
- 1:43:46Speaker 3: WORLD i know we've said that to. Everybody but we
- 1:43:49Speaker 3: have your key, shirt, right we have. One, yeah are
- 1:43:53Speaker 3: you gonna get your tat covered or it's right in
- 1:43:57Speaker 3: the small in your?
- 1:43:58Speaker 4: Bags all?
- 1:44:02Speaker 3: Right for a seven nine one six one four. One
- 1:44:05Speaker 3: you can always text us at seven seven zero three. One.
- 1:44:08Speaker 3: Jack did you get that, story isn't?
- 1:44:09Speaker 5: You?
- 1:44:10Speaker 12: Yeah?

- 1:44:24Speaker 3: talls she walked from the gym and the guy and
- 1:44:25Speaker 3: the coach Said i'll give you a scholarship right, now

- 1:47:08Speaker 3: is absolutely crushing. It it's so much fun to.
- 1:47:10Speaker 9: Watch but it even goes back to THE i think
- 1:47:14Speaker 9: you can parallel to THE nfl where they were getting
- 1:47:18Speaker 9: penalized for. Celebrating it's kind of fun to watch the
- 1:47:22Speaker 9: celebrations after a really great. Play yeah he gets to
- 1:47:28Speaker 9: do it, there but in THE nfl they were kind
- 1:47:30Speaker 9: of squatching that some of the celebrations and trying limit.
- 1:47:33Speaker 9: That and it's REALLY i think the fans like seeing
- 1:47:37Speaker 9: that expression of. EXCITEMENT i love. IT i can Get
- 1:47:40Speaker 9: let me tell you who else is dealing with this right.

- 1:47:59Speaker 3: camera crew watching him and, stuff and the coaches are
- 1:48:01Speaker 3: losing their, minds but the crowd is going crazy about.

- 1:51:45Speaker 3: website At edgewaterfamilywealth dot. Com so if you've often wondered
- 1:51:48Speaker 3: what kind of personality you are when it comes to,
- 1:51:50Speaker 3: money or what kind of personality you are, period this
- 1:51:54Speaker 3: is a good way to do. It we've already had
- 1:51:55Speaker 3: dozens and dozens of people take the test and the
- 1:51:58Speaker 3: outcomes have been. Great people are all over the, map
- 1:52:00Speaker 3: from wealth commanders to architects to all different kinds of
- 1:52:04Speaker 3: names That really what it does is you take the.
- 1:52:05Speaker 3: Test it gives you an output to, say these are
- 1:52:08Speaker 3: your stress, factors these are the things that would bother,
- 1:52:10Speaker 3: you these are the, Thing this is how you would
- 1:52:12Speaker 3: react under duress if the markets were doing. Poorly here's your,
- 1:52:15Speaker 3: strengths here's your. Weaknesses and a lot of people have
- 1:52:18Speaker 3: gone To dendswater family wealth dot com and taking that,
- 1:52:20Speaker 3: test and most of the feedback we're getting it's quite. Good,
- 1:52:22Speaker 3: YEAH i would THINK i think that'd be quite useful
- 1:52:25Speaker 3: by the way you kind of find. Out AND i
- 1:52:26Speaker 3: think maybe one thing is like a lot of people, think,
- 1:52:28Speaker 3: well you, Know i'm probably the only person doing, this
- 1:52:30Speaker 3: and you Know i've got a sickness or something's wrong with.
- 1:52:32Speaker 3: Me if you find out in reality that you fall
- 1:52:34Speaker 3: into a lot of columns that a lot of people fall,
- 1:52:37Speaker 3: into and the cool thing is is a lot this
- 1:52:39Speaker 3: will tell you there's answers to those. Issues there's there's
- 1:52:41Speaker 3: ways gonna get around those personality traits that don't really
- 1:52:44Speaker 3: work out.
- 1:52:44Speaker 9: For you and your.
- 1:52:45Speaker 3: Money, well we all have tendencies and sensibilities it regardless
- 1:52:48Speaker 3: of whether it's money or it's not. Money and the
- 1:52:50Speaker 3: way we go through. Life and sometimes you, know somebody
- 1:52:52Speaker 3: will say something to me, like you, know you always
- 1:52:54Speaker 3: do that, thing and Then i'm, LIKE i don't do that,
- 1:52:56Speaker 3: thing AND i like you, did and then they give
- 1:52:58Speaker 3: me seven examples of HOW i do that, thing, Right,
- 1:53:00Speaker 3: Yeah and it's kind of hard to deny at that, point,
- 1:53:02Speaker 3: RIGHT i GUESS i do do that. Thing SO i
- 1:53:05Speaker 3: think we find with money as, well that a lot
- 1:53:07Speaker 3: of times people Real i'll give you the. Example clients
- 1:53:09Speaker 3: will come in And i'll, say, hey you know, what
- 1:53:11Speaker 3: how will you behave if the market drops ten? Percent you,
- 1:53:14Speaker 3: know to throw out a, number Say i'll be, fine
- 1:53:17Speaker 3: that wouldn't bother me in the slightest. Guy then the
- 1:53:18Speaker 3: market drops ten, percent they're ringing my phone off the
- 1:53:21Speaker 3: hook or like like they're you, know they've been shot or.
- 1:53:23Speaker 3: Something so it's so we sometimes don't realize until it's
- 1:53:27Speaker 3: put in front of us the way we're going to
- 1:53:29Speaker 3: react to. Things and if you know in advance that
- 1:53:31Speaker 3: you have a tendency to behave in a certain. WAY
- 1:53:34Speaker 3: i was in an event this weekend with some, guys
- 1:53:35Speaker 3: and one guy of course found.
- 1:53:36Speaker 1: Out WHAT i.
- 1:53:37Speaker 3: Did he's, like, yeah, oh, eight, MAN i SWORE i
- 1:53:39Speaker 3: wouldn't do, it but IN o, WAIGHT i sold all
- 1:53:41Speaker 3: out of my four or one K worst THING i
- 1:53:43Speaker 3: ever did in my. Life oh my, god can you?
- 1:53:45Speaker 3: IMAGINE i, mean, oh, way so you've missed the tripling
- 1:53:47Speaker 3: of the market if you didn't get back in within
- 1:53:49Speaker 3: a few. Years so, again knowing that your, behavior and
- 1:53:53Speaker 3: in some cases it's the other, way maybe you don't
- 1:53:55Speaker 3: react or you don't when something's really gone wrong and
- 1:53:59Speaker 3: you realize you've made a, miss but you just you,
- 1:54:01Speaker 3: know you've got that sunken cost theory Where i'll see it.
- 1:54:03Speaker 3: THROUGH i picked. It obviously it was a good, idea.
- 1:54:06Speaker 3: RIGHT a lot of people have that issue as, Well
- 1:54:08Speaker 3: so this test kind of kind of brings all that to. Light,
- 1:54:11Speaker 3: also there's another big loss thing that a lot of
- 1:54:13Speaker 3: people don't talk about because it's the other side of that,
- 1:54:15Speaker 3: coin which is you don't make the. Move you, know
- 1:54:17Speaker 3: you stand, there you're, stagnant you don't make the, move
- 1:54:19Speaker 3: and you don't even take a little bit of a,
- 1:54:21Speaker 3: chance even when the chance is telling you right to
- 1:54:23Speaker 3: your face that maybe you should give this a. Shot
- 1:54:25Speaker 3: that's another, thing like what's that the paralysis through? Analysis, yes, yes.
- 1:54:29Speaker 3: OVERTHINKING a lot of people are. Guilty they make perfect
- 1:54:32Speaker 3: the enemy of. Good they're not gonna make a decision
- 1:54:35Speaker 3: until all the conditions are. Perfect AND i got news
- 1:54:37Speaker 3: for you that doesn't. Exist. Right there is no situation
- 1:54:41Speaker 3: where you, GO i can't, lose BUT i can make
- 1:54:45Speaker 3: a lot of. Money. Right that is not a. Thing come,
- 1:54:48Speaker 3: on that's not. THERE i want everybody to pull over
- 1:54:51Speaker 3: and write this. Down you should make that that is
- 1:54:53Speaker 3: not a. Thing it's up to you to make that a. Thing,
- 1:54:57Speaker 3: so you, KNOW i WAS i was texting you this
- 1:54:59Speaker 3: week and as a driving around think about the segment
- 1:55:01Speaker 3: all the, time trying to make people or make it,
- 1:55:03Speaker 3: better and you, know kind of may make things relative
- 1:55:06Speaker 3: to the audience so they can kind of, understand you
- 1:55:08Speaker 3: know what you're trying to kind, of you, know explain to.
- 1:55:10Speaker 3: Them and one of the theories THAT i was kind
- 1:55:12Speaker 3: of talking about and to myself, is you, KNOW i
- 1:55:15Speaker 3: wonder how when people seek out a financial, advisor and
- 1:55:18Speaker 3: this could be with anything that's very personal to, them
- 1:55:20Speaker 3: or would be a, doctor whatever the case may. Be
- 1:55:22Speaker 3: but how do you guys establish trust with your. Clients
- 1:55:26Speaker 3: because the one THING i hear a lot in the
- 1:55:27Speaker 3: world out, there AND i read a lot out there
- 1:55:29Speaker 3: is is that people have trust issues with professionals in
- 1:55:32Speaker 3: the financial sector because all they read about is, like,
- 1:55:35Speaker 3: well this guy scammed this, guy and this person scammed this,
- 1:55:37Speaker 3: guy and this financial part and this financial institution got
- 1:55:41Speaker 3: busted for being A ponzi, scheme and nobody love me
- 1:55:44Speaker 3: tay something. Else nobody wants to be that. Victim and
- 1:55:47Speaker 3: let me you, know it's wild Because Kevin, bacon you,
- 1:55:49Speaker 3: know part of his personality, now not outside of being
- 1:55:53Speaker 3: a movie star and all that other cool, stuff is
- 1:55:54Speaker 3: the fact that he was one of the biggest guys
- 1:55:56Speaker 3: got ripped off by burning. Mead and when people read, that,
- 1:55:59Speaker 3: like well they can if it can happen to a
- 1:56:01Speaker 3: major movie star who has the best, advice the best
- 1:56:03Speaker 3: everything at his, fingertips that, means how AM i supposed
- 1:56:07Speaker 3: to make a good? Decision how AM i supposed to
- 1:56:09Speaker 3: pick somebody that's going to be good for me and
- 1:56:10Speaker 3: my family when it comes to my financial? Wellbeing and
- 1:56:13Speaker 3: what do you say to? That, well AND i get,
- 1:56:15Speaker 3: IT i believe. ME i deal with it every day
- 1:56:17Speaker 3: when people come. In, now to be, fair most of
- 1:56:19Speaker 3: the people that come to us either come via the
- 1:56:22Speaker 3: station because they've listened to me for a couple of.
- 1:56:24Speaker 3: Years so just longevity lends itself to. Trust SO i
- 1:56:27Speaker 3: have clients that have been with me thirty five. Years
- 1:56:30Speaker 3: they don't even question anything. Anymore they're just Like, SCOTT
- 1:56:32Speaker 3: i need a thing, done fix? It, yea. Right SO
- 1:56:35Speaker 3: i think you build trust over. Tom BUT i also
- 1:56:37Speaker 3: think if somebody refers you to someone and they, say,
- 1:56:39Speaker 3: Look i've been dealing with this this gal or this
- 1:56:42Speaker 3: guy for the last twenty, years and here are the
- 1:56:43Speaker 3: things they've done for. Me but for, ME i think
- 1:56:46Speaker 3: it's you build trust by not abusing the relationship right.
- 1:56:50Speaker 3: Away you shouldn't make assumptions about. PEOPLE i think the warning,
- 1:56:54Speaker 3: signs if we can start, there is that if you
- 1:56:56Speaker 3: walk into someone's office and they've already got a solution
- 1:56:59Speaker 3: for you before you've explained the, problem that's probably a bad.
- 1:57:04Speaker 3: Sign somebody that's leading with, RETURNS i THINK i can
- 1:57:06Speaker 3: get you eight. Percent oh you got, IT i can
- 1:57:09Speaker 3: get you nine. Percent. Right somebody that's leading with, returns
- 1:57:12Speaker 3: leading with results that they haven't gotten for, you that's
- 1:57:16Speaker 3: probably a warning. Sign so you, KNOW i was thinking
- 1:57:18Speaker 3: about a couple of examples after we had that discussion
- 1:57:20Speaker 3: on the way over. Here i'll use the events as an.
- 1:57:23Speaker 3: Example so if we got on the air and we, said,
- 1:57:26Speaker 3: hey come to this free, event nobody's gonna hard sell,
- 1:57:29Speaker 3: you and then the first thing we do is say
- 1:57:31Speaker 3: thirty bucks for the stake and then we start shoving
- 1:57:34Speaker 3: product down their, throat my credibility would be. Shot you're.
- 1:57:37Speaker 3: Done there'd be no trust with this. Audience you'd probably
- 1:57:39Speaker 3: throw me out of the. Studio so the reality is
- 1:57:43Speaker 3: you have to BUILD i tell my team this all the.
- 1:57:45Speaker 3: Time you have to build trust every day in every.
- 1:57:48Speaker 3: Conversation so it's why we have a preliminary get to
- 1:57:52Speaker 3: know you. Meeting so how we kind of deal with
- 1:57:54Speaker 3: that is we bring the potential client. In they, say,
- 1:57:57Speaker 3: look we have these issues we'd like to work with
- 1:57:59Speaker 3: you think and we say the same, Thing, well let's
- 1:58:01Speaker 3: see what your issues are and let us also decide
- 1:58:04Speaker 3: if we'd like to work with you because we're not
- 1:58:06Speaker 3: a good fit for if there have been plenty of
- 1:58:07Speaker 3: clients already this, year people potential clients have come in
- 1:58:11Speaker 3: and we, said, look we're not a good fit for,
- 1:58:12Speaker 3: you and here are the reasons. Why, Right so you
- 1:58:16Speaker 3: build trust by taking your time and getting to know.
- 1:58:18Speaker 3: Somebody you want to understand the. Story you want to
- 1:58:20Speaker 3: understand the goals before you start shoving products and things
- 1:58:24Speaker 3: down somebody's. Throats so if you go in and the
- 1:58:26Speaker 3: answer to every question is you need an annuity or
- 1:58:30Speaker 3: you need life, insurance that's the answer to every, question
- 1:58:33Speaker 3: you probably are in the wrong. Spot so, again building
- 1:58:37Speaker 3: trust takes. Time and if you're working with somebody who's
- 1:58:41Speaker 3: taking the time to, Understand i'll give you another example
- 1:58:44Speaker 3: of something that we. Do so our, clients as their assets,
- 1:58:48Speaker 3: grow get a discount on their. Fees, right so if
- 1:58:50Speaker 3: they have one hundred thousand, dollars they pay a little
- 1:58:52Speaker 3: more than somebody with two fifty or five hundred or
- 1:58:54Speaker 3: a million or. Whatever as each of those thresholds is,
- 1:58:57Speaker 3: passed we have a system to catch. That we don't
- 1:59:00Speaker 3: wait for them to catch us to reduce their. Fee
- 1:59:03Speaker 3: we reach out. Yourself we catch ourselves because if that
- 1:59:06Speaker 3: would be, wrong you, know that would be a great
- 1:59:08Speaker 3: way to erode. Trust if five years went by and
- 1:59:11Speaker 3: my client had already passed a milestone and we did
- 1:59:13Speaker 3: nothing to reduce their. Costs so there's multiple ways that
- 1:59:17Speaker 3: someone can show you their. TRUSTWORTHY i would say for
- 1:59:19Speaker 3: the people listening out, there the first thing is to
- 1:59:21Speaker 3: find if you're looking for an, advisor is to interview
- 1:59:24Speaker 3: several for. Starters make sure they're not pushing product down
- 1:59:26Speaker 3: to your throat the second you walk through the, door
- 1:59:28Speaker 3: and then maybe ask, around ask, friends who have you
- 1:59:31Speaker 3: been with this person for ten? Years have you been
- 1:59:33Speaker 3: with this person for fifteen. YEARS i have clients that
- 1:59:35Speaker 3: have been with me for thirty, years and there's oftentimes
- 1:59:38Speaker 3: that they'll send somebody in there, Like, god here's my.
- 1:59:40Speaker 3: MONEY i, mean if they had a bag of, money
- 1:59:42Speaker 3: they would probably throw it on the table right AND
- 1:59:43Speaker 3: i have to back them, up slow down a. Second
- 1:59:46Speaker 3: we'd probably love to have, you but let's go through
- 1:59:49Speaker 3: our process so that you're comfortable and you find that we're.
- 1:59:52Speaker 3: Trustworthy and you AND i were talking at the beginning
- 1:59:54Speaker 3: before the segment, began AND i was talking about How
- 1:59:56Speaker 3: Charlie munger considers. Trust Warren buffet's partner former partner now to,
- 2:00:01Speaker 3: see considered trust the number one tool in. Business, yes
- 2:00:05Speaker 3: because if you don't have, trust think about you, know
- 2:00:08Speaker 3: if you go to the car to the shop to
- 2:00:10Speaker 3: get your car fixed and you have to stand over the.
- 2:00:12Speaker 3: Mechanic then you're looking at the, bill you're looking at the.
- 2:00:15Speaker 3: Detail you're, Thinking i'm gonna go to three more. Shops you,
- 2:00:17Speaker 3: know the amount of time and effort that you had
- 2:00:20Speaker 3: to put into that is worth a lot to. You
- 2:00:22Speaker 3: whereas for, me you, know there's A sonoco In College
- 2:00:24Speaker 3: PARK i go to every single. Time they've never ripped me.
- 2:00:28Speaker 3: Off in, fact one time they put in the wrong,
- 2:00:30Speaker 3: part they ate the cost and put in the right,
- 2:00:32Speaker 3: part and from that moment, forward they established trust with,
- 2:00:34Speaker 3: me and the fact THAT i trust them saves me
- 2:00:37Speaker 3: from driving all over town to figure out Where i'm
- 2:00:39Speaker 3: gonna get my. Touch, yeah the same thing when we
- 2:00:41Speaker 3: do the. Rebuilds we have a group of vendors that
- 2:00:43Speaker 3: we've been, using whether it be for drywall or for
- 2:00:45Speaker 3: anything like, that and we don't use anybody, else and
- 2:00:48Speaker 3: we pay them more than we would pay anybody else
- 2:00:50Speaker 3: BECAUSE i trust. Them they can come to my. House
- 2:00:53Speaker 3: they're not gonna do anything, stupid they're not gonna steal from.
- 2:00:55Speaker 3: Me they're gonna be good quality. Work we've established that.
- 2:00:58Speaker 3: Relationship they wait for my, call then they come and
- 2:01:00Speaker 3: do the work and we move. Forward it's great having
- 2:01:02Speaker 3: that it really. Is and you, know AND i love
- 2:01:05Speaker 3: what you said That Warren buffett said about getting, done
- 2:01:08Speaker 3: getting deals done quickly before a certain people get, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 2:01:13Speaker 3: Yeah so he one of the Stories charlie liked to
- 2:01:15Speaker 3: tell was there was a deal they wanted to do
- 2:01:17Speaker 3: AND i don't remember which deal it, was and he,
- 2:01:19Speaker 3: said you, know he said To, Warren, warren go sign
- 2:01:22Speaker 3: the deal before the lawyers get. INVOLVED i can say that. Word.
- 2:01:25Speaker 3: Yea so the reason is lawyers exist and, oftentimes you,
- 2:01:29Speaker 3: know as they, say you hate lawyers till you need, one,
- 2:01:31Speaker 3: Right so lawyers exist for a. Reason but lawyers exist
- 2:01:34Speaker 3: because we don't necessarily trust one, another and we have
- 2:01:38Speaker 3: to have all these you. Use you, know forty fifty
- 2:01:40Speaker 3: sixty eighty years, Ago i'm sure nine out of ten
- 2:01:43Speaker 3: deals throughout this city got done on a, handshake. Right
- 2:01:46Speaker 3: that is no longer true for a variety of. Reasons
- 2:01:49Speaker 3: but if you trust, someone IF i trust my, team
- 2:01:52Speaker 3: IF i say to my planner right, NOW i have
- 2:01:54Speaker 3: a guy who does planning for my. Client SO i
- 2:01:56Speaker 3: don't do all the. PLANNING i just review the planning
- 2:01:58Speaker 3: with the. Client IF i had, to, OPE i look
- 2:02:00Speaker 3: over his shoulder every single time he did a plan
- 2:02:03Speaker 3: for a MEETING i had with a, Client i'd get.
- 2:02:05Speaker 3: NOWHERE i couldn't build a, BUSINESS i couldn't be, HERE
- 2:02:08Speaker 3: i couldn't do the things THAT i really enjoy. Doing
- 2:02:10Speaker 3: so trust to me is worth to your, POINT i
- 2:02:14Speaker 3: would pay a premium for any service or any product
- 2:02:19Speaker 3: WHERE i trusted the person bringing it to. Me, yeah
- 2:02:21Speaker 3: every vendor that we have on the. Air and you
- 2:02:23Speaker 3: went through this very thing as. WELL i tell him
- 2:02:25Speaker 3: right up front with their initial. MEETING i don't know
- 2:02:27Speaker 3: if you do, this, mel BUT i look at him and,
- 2:02:28Speaker 3: Go i'm just gonna let you know right now when
- 2:02:30Speaker 3: we leave this, Meeting i'm gonna go And i'm gonna
- 2:02:31Speaker 3: search for crap for you for on you for four hours.
- 2:02:34Speaker 3: Minimum i'm gonna go through every single outlet ONLINE i
- 2:02:37Speaker 3: can find to see a bat see IF i can
- 2:02:39Speaker 3: find a bad review for your, company to see if
- 2:02:41Speaker 3: you've paid somebody to bury, this because it's my reputation
- 2:02:44Speaker 3: on the. Line i'll like you. On when we and
- 2:02:46Speaker 3: we started working With, SCOTT i went EVERYWHERE i. TRIED
- 2:02:49Speaker 3: i told him to the spaces THAT i tried for
- 2:02:51Speaker 3: days to find somebody to say something bad about, you
- 2:02:54Speaker 3: BECAUSE i wanted to find out what kind of person
- 2:02:56Speaker 3: you were first BEFORE i found out about your. Business
- 2:02:59Speaker 3: ye ask my, wife AND i didn't talk to you
- 2:03:02Speaker 3: hit her away that way on the. Room but it
- 2:03:05Speaker 3: turned out Where scott had a glowing, reputation AND i
- 2:03:08Speaker 3: knew that it wasn't gonna cost me or my reputation
- 2:03:10Speaker 3: to have you on there to talk about something as
- 2:03:12Speaker 3: sensitive as. Money and people are hyper sensitive about this
- 2:03:15Speaker 3: is their well, being and when they make the decision
- 2:03:17Speaker 3: to find a financial, advisor it has to be buried in.
- 2:03:21Speaker 3: TRUST i, mean there can't be a little of. It
- 2:03:22Speaker 3: it has to be steeped in, it because those people
- 2:03:25Speaker 3: are handing their livelihood over to.
- 2:03:26Speaker 1: You.
- 2:03:27Speaker 3: Well AND i Think i've told you the story over the,
- 2:03:29Speaker 3: years but bears, repeating is about year ten or. Fifteen
- 2:03:32Speaker 3: this is gonna sound, WEIRD i, suppose but you, KNOW
- 2:03:34Speaker 3: i was a young man trying to make my way
- 2:03:36Speaker 3: in the business, world AND i was good at, sales
- 2:03:38Speaker 3: so that was what was working out, fine AND i
- 2:03:40Speaker 3: certainly wasn't. Nefarious but at some point about year, fifteen
- 2:03:43Speaker 3: Recognizing i'm in year forty, now somebody gave me a
- 2:03:46Speaker 3: check AND i don't remember the, amount but it was
- 2:03:48Speaker 3: like seven hundred thousand or something like, that which back
- 2:03:50Speaker 3: then was is still a huge amount of, money but
- 2:03:52Speaker 3: it was a massive amount of money back. Then AND
- 2:03:54Speaker 3: i thought to, myself, HUH i should catch this in
- 2:03:56Speaker 3: all Ass. Yeah but then my second thought was my
- 2:04:01Speaker 3: second thought was how far that goes to the? Epics,
- 2:04:04Speaker 3: yeah this is. Real this is somebody's life. Savings they've
- 2:04:07Speaker 3: decided to give it to. Me and for a SECOND i,
- 2:04:09Speaker 3: thought what what are they? Crazy you? Know but, no
- 2:04:12Speaker 3: the reality is from that Moment ford AND i can't
- 2:04:15Speaker 3: pinpoint the exact, day but the reality IS I i
- 2:04:19Speaker 3: from that Moment, FORD i swore to myself THAT i
- 2:04:21Speaker 3: would not only build but deserve the trust that people
- 2:04:25Speaker 3: were giving. Me AND i try to impose that on
- 2:04:27Speaker 3: and everybody says THAT i get, that BUT i try
- 2:04:29Speaker 3: to impose that on my. Team is you're here to
- 2:04:32Speaker 3: lead these, people not sell. Them and there's a big
- 2:04:35Speaker 3: difference between leading and, selling because a leader will tell

- 2:04:54Speaker 3: Right so there's a lot of firms in town will
- 2:04:57Speaker 3: go unnamed that that life insurance is there all only.
- 2:05:00Speaker 3: Product it's their. Lead if you're, saving it's in for,
- 2:05:02Speaker 3: college it's life. Insurance if it's, retirement it's life. Insurance
- 2:05:05Speaker 3: if it's something, else it's life. Insurance, now life insurance
- 2:05:09Speaker 3: has a role in everybody's, LIFE i, think especially if
- 2:05:11Speaker 3: you have young. Children but life insurance is life. Insurance
- 2:05:15Speaker 3: it is not a great investment on its. Own if
- 2:05:17Speaker 3: you can only if you need life insurance and an,
- 2:05:19Speaker 3: investment and you only have a dollar that can go into,
- 2:05:22Speaker 3: one maybe cash value life insurance bears, Considering but on,

- 2:08:02Speaker 23: have two hundred and fifty thousand dollars or what.
- 2:08:05Speaker 14: Have you in the.
- 2:08:05Speaker 23: Bank AND i can't even come close to. That AM

- 2:08:15Speaker 3: yeah absolutely come to the seminar twice if you like.
- 2:08:19Speaker 9: IT i, think, well it points out a good, thing
- 2:08:23Speaker 9: and REALLY i was at first, WONDERING i don't know
- 2:08:26Speaker 9: if it is for. ME i, go you, know because
- 2:08:29Speaker 9: sometimes you, think, oh this is people with that are
- 2:08:32Speaker 9: moving around six figures of you, know stocks and stuff
- 2:08:36Speaker 9: and just big, investments and that's something That i'm not quite.
- 2:08:40Speaker 9: There ALL i know IS i feed my four one
- 2:08:42Speaker 9: K i feed my Roth, IRA i try and save
- 2:08:44Speaker 9: some on the side and UNTIL i WENT i didn't
- 2:08:48Speaker 9: UNDER i didn't really understand how oh, wait this does
- 2:08:52Speaker 9: affect you AND i can learn something from. This and
- 2:08:55Speaker 9: then WHEN i went in and met with your, son
- 2:08:58Speaker 9: and he kind of showed me WHERE i was and
- 2:09:02Speaker 9: changed the numbers on the big board and, said this
- 2:09:04Speaker 9: is what retirement looks for you on this path and
- 2:09:07Speaker 9: what you need to. Do AND i slept better that.
- 2:09:10Speaker 9: Night and it's just the unknown that is. THERE i
- 2:09:14Speaker 9: replaced it with a little more knowledge and that was
- 2:09:17Speaker 9: reassuring for.
- 2:09:18Speaker 3: Me and by the, WAY i think it's interesting that
- 2:09:19Speaker 3: you say that Because jack said something during the SEGMENT
- 2:09:21Speaker 3: i thought was very interesting as, Well, like you, know
- 2:09:23Speaker 3: even being here on the, show even knowing you, personally
- 2:09:26Speaker 3: even talking after him before the, segment during the, breaks
- 2:09:29Speaker 3: even walking out of the building, together it still Took
- 2:09:32Speaker 3: jack a couple months to make that. Move and you've
- 2:09:35Speaker 3: told me that a number of the newer clients that
- 2:09:37Speaker 3: you guys have signed up or a newer people that
- 2:09:38Speaker 3: have come, in said that very same. Thing they, Said,
- 2:09:40Speaker 3: LOOK i listened for a, year you, KNOW i wanted
- 2:09:42Speaker 3: to hear everything you had to. Offer THEN i finally,
- 2:09:45Speaker 3: said this is the time to make the. Move so
- 2:09:48Speaker 3: one of the things THAT i think it's important when
- 2:09:50Speaker 3: it comes to the segment to know is is we're
- 2:09:51Speaker 3: not asking you to make a move right. Now what
- 2:09:53Speaker 3: we're doing is asking you to start considering what you
- 2:09:56Speaker 3: should be doing in the near. Future right and as we're,
- 2:09:59Speaker 3: family wealth is an option for. That but in, reality
- 2:10:01Speaker 3: we're just trying to get that on your radar so
- 2:10:04Speaker 3: that you start thinking about. That because what a lot
- 2:10:06Speaker 3: of people will do WHEN i read is they wait
- 2:10:08Speaker 3: a little too long to make this move or to
- 2:10:10Speaker 3: even consider making a, move and it kind of puts
- 2:10:12Speaker 3: them in a situation where they feel. Hopeless and that's
- 2:10:15Speaker 3: the last place you want to. Be because you've also
- 2:10:17Speaker 3: said there are a number of people that came in
- 2:10:19Speaker 3: and they fell, hopeless and then they left after what
- 2:10:21Speaker 3: happened With. Jack you, know you kind of threw it
- 2:10:23Speaker 3: out on a paper so they could see, it and
- 2:10:25Speaker 3: they skipped out of the. Office. Yeah, YEAH i think
- 2:10:28Speaker 3: most people find they're in way better shape than they
- 2:10:29Speaker 3: think they. Are and first of, all wouldn't you rather
- 2:10:32Speaker 3: know you're headed in the wrong direction with twenty grand
- 2:10:35Speaker 3: than with two hundred? GRAND i, mean no. Question if
- 2:10:37Speaker 3: somebody can say, look you know you're let me pivot
- 2:10:39Speaker 3: you here to the right a little, bit and that's
- 2:10:41Speaker 3: a better path for you to go. ON i would
- 2:10:42Speaker 3: certainly want to know that earlier rather than Lea, yeah for, Sure.
- 2:10:45Speaker 3: Jackie do we have to thank? Today? Oh, well we wanted.
