Lincoln Little League just claimed the Rhode Island championship after a gritty comeback, defeating Cranston Western and Barrington to reach the final—where they stunned the competition with a clutch fielder’s choice in the fifth inning, courtesy of Hugo Fiero’s RBI. Now they’re headed to Bristol, Connecticut, for the regional tournament starting August 8th, where they’ll battle New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut champs—with one spot at the Little League World Series in Williamsport on the line.
