[SPEAKER_00]: Poison Rana.
0:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Hello.
0:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Hello, hello, hello.
0:14
[SPEAKER_01]: brain herrington here with David Portman for poison rana live well we're not live today but you get you get the just you get the guess a brain and baby here poison rana pod we are live in Montreal I guess we're here just if you have a way we're recording live right now you just you don't know with us at the moment yes but yeah we're still a it's still a PR out yeah you're always
0:42
[SPEAKER_01]: with us here.
0:43
[SPEAKER_01]: Live to tape, friends.
0:44
[SPEAKER_01]: There you go.
0:45
[SPEAKER_01]: That's right.
0:46
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it is Sunday morning, July 27th, 11, 12 right now.
0:51
[SPEAKER_01]: And we are put together with some tape, some bandages.
0:58
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe a coffee or two, but we're here to talk about some redemption.
1:04
[SPEAKER_01]: Redemption was had and redemption is
1:08
[SPEAKER_01]: what we're going to talk about today, because we are recording this Monday after AW Redemption last night at the Bell Center here in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
1:20
[SPEAKER_01]: What a weekend.
1:21
[SPEAKER_01]: It's been.
1:21
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm already beat up.
1:23
[SPEAKER_00]: so be it.
1:25
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm pretty tired today.
1:26
[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's the problem when we're traveling and seeing different cities.
1:32
[SPEAKER_00]: It's really before these AEW paperviews, I should just rest.
1:36
[SPEAKER_00]: I should just stay in my room.
1:38
[SPEAKER_00]: I should, you know, maybe watch a movie, just chill and save myself.
1:42
[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, we're going to Montreal.
1:45
[SPEAKER_00]: We're only here for a few days.
1:46
[SPEAKER_00]: It's beautiful.
1:47
[SPEAKER_00]: I end up walking about 40,000 steps during the day and then have a couple of drinks and then sit down for a five hour paid view and I'm like, oh, oh, I'm beat, I'm tired.
1:57
[SPEAKER_00]: It's so, yeah, I think maybe certainly the shows that I need to pace myself through today a little bit better, I think.
2:07
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they started early.
2:08
[SPEAKER_01]: They started at the paper you started at 7pm, which means we're gonna be way done by 11.
2:16
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, that was, oh, no, that wasn't the case for it.
2:19
[SPEAKER_01]: Guys, we're starting early because we're gonna end early now and not.
2:23
[SPEAKER_01]: We're gonna go right until I think it was 1158.
2:26
[SPEAKER_01]: We all pulled out our phones and showed each other.
2:28
[SPEAKER_00]: 1150 to show, we're like, at and finished.
2:30
[SPEAKER_00]: And by the time we left and went to the room and it's around midnight, yeah.
2:36
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I must take it.
2:37
[SPEAKER_01]: We all pulled our, at least me and you and then we were trying to look at our friends and showing the clock, like, look, 1150.
2:43
[SPEAKER_01]: And then there was the, the one-winged angel.
2:46
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
2:46
[SPEAKER_01]: So then there was still a few more minutes before midnight, but then TK at the presser being like, hey, everybody, I got you out before midnight, right?
2:54
[SPEAKER_01]: That's what everybody wanted.
2:56
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
2:57
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I guess so.
2:59
[SPEAKER_01]: So seven start times, even though we'll get into the show and everything, I tried to ask Tony, hey, you know, you're going to
3:09
[SPEAKER_01]: to keep with these earlier show times and maybe some daytime swarrays, some brunch favorite views, you didn't really answer that.
3:15
[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm gonna cross my fingers for more 7pm star times for when it comes to these.
3:21
[SPEAKER_01]: At least East End, you know, East times on shows that we're used to the 8pm.
3:26
[SPEAKER_01]: WWE sometimes has 6 or 7pm and
3:28
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's a good, it's a good set because people like to go home when it's still the day that they went out to go to a wrestling show.
3:38
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's the argument because most people were like, I literally heard this a few times.
3:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Wow, it's not even midnight yet.
3:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
3:47
[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
3:55
[SPEAKER_01]: because the next one's gonna be during the day.
3:57
[SPEAKER_01]: So that's no problem at all.
3:59
[SPEAKER_00]: I like that.
4:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't know.
4:02
[SPEAKER_00]: I find the length and show discussion really boring because we've had it for seven years at this point.
4:07
[SPEAKER_01]: And it's, it doesn't mean I can't, no, it doesn't mean I can't.
4:10
[SPEAKER_00]: No, you're valid for your opinion.
4:12
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
4:12
[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm so valid to find it boring opinion because we hear it all the time, you know?
4:17
[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't mean it's not right or wrong because there's no, I say, love this show, love every time.
4:24
[SPEAKER_01]: You always get your money's worth.
4:30
[SPEAKER_01]: five hours long.
4:31
[SPEAKER_01]: That's how I'm, that's not like talking to.
4:33
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I haven't even early been seven to be honest.
4:36
[SPEAKER_01]: You want seven hours of favor of you?
4:38
[SPEAKER_00]: No, I want it even earlier.
4:40
[SPEAKER_00]: I want the start time earlier.
4:41
[SPEAKER_01]: I think, but that's, I agree.
4:44
[SPEAKER_01]: I think I would, I think it would make it at least feel like it's not, it's going to be five hours.
4:50
[SPEAKER_01]: But to start it maybe a little bit earlier, maybe it would take
4:56
[SPEAKER_01]: fatigue, just literally hearing conversations are like, like, like, people leaving when the main event started, because they're like, I gotta make the train.
5:04
[SPEAKER_01]: I gotta go home.
5:05
[SPEAKER_01]: We hear that.
5:05
[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of these shows, so like, I totally feel for people who genuinely want to spend money on something that they love, but have to make a choice of,
5:16
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I have work.
5:17
[SPEAKER_01]: I have kids.
5:18
[SPEAKER_01]: I have like to make it home where I'm spending a $200 Uber to get back to where like there are things and these are people who you know, live in the areas of when these shows go we're lucky we're traveling in to go to paper views and we get hotels and whatnot, but.
5:32
[SPEAKER_01]: We, that is an argument that I still will stand on, though we don't need to go five hours for a fast lane.
5:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Bit of review, I think now you're having these paid views once a month, and I think it is Tony Khan thinks it's value, you know, like most, a lot of wrestling on other services are part of your, you know, it's part of Netflix or whatever, and you're not necessarily paying that paper
6:02
[SPEAKER_00]: feels he needs to put everything on the show to give you value for money.
6:06
[SPEAKER_00]: I think I'd prefer maybe, you know, all in can go five plus hours because it's the biggest show, you know, and keep these sort of newer paper views, like the B paper views if you want, keep them to four.
6:22
[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, it's, I mean, I was, I was bearing tired
6:30
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if it's it's it is what it is at this point and I don't think it's the length of these shows is going anywhere Like I just I just feel like every time even even when it's a like you know 10 out of 10 papers you 9 out of 10 paper view or or maybe like today where to this one was we'll get into fully like maybe not on the top of the list of
6:49
[SPEAKER_01]: Killer, AWP of these, but every show is always like, wait, why are there for it to kill this one?
6:55
[SPEAKER_01]: I had like 11 matches.
6:56
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, oh, he's like, why are there so many?
6:58
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, yeah, we love it, but give, give some time for the people who do have the, the screen time to, to let it breathe a little bit.
7:07
[SPEAKER_01]: Let people go.
7:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Get a coffee.
7:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, there you go.
7:10
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll start there too.
7:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's get my my normal complaints out of the way.
7:14
[SPEAKER_01]: If you're going to do a five hour show that ends at midnight, we need to have a thing on the the tour rider or a assigned agreement that when they do these five hour paper views the venue must sell coffee.
7:29
[SPEAKER_01]: because arena still don't have cap in a drink.
7:31
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, one of them, whether it's Red Bull with the soda section or like a copy stand.
7:37
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, one of them.
7:38
[SPEAKER_01]: And then, okay, so Bell Center was like half sold.
7:41
[SPEAKER_01]: So half the arena was running, half the stuff was sold out.
7:44
[SPEAKER_01]: They're not going to pay all these people and staff.
7:48
[SPEAKER_01]: you know, places that sections that aren't even open, they're for half the stadium, the food and stuff and people were complaining because the people that did want to buy stuff were like, why is everything kind of closed here?
7:59
[SPEAKER_01]: So we did, during the the chain match was really
8:03
[SPEAKER_01]: Challenging me really pushing me so I we quickly you went and quickly looked couldn't find it I went to quickly look couldn't find the Timmy's the Timhortons in a Canadian venue Finally there was one that served like the smallest single cup of
8:19
[SPEAKER_01]: basic coffee, which we took and probably ended up saving us, but like just sell coffee in these venues.
8:26
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's add that to the list, Tony Card.
8:27
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to ask for next week.
8:28
[SPEAKER_01]: Can we make sure we do this?
8:30
[SPEAKER_01]: Some of us, uh, because we're not the only ones.
8:33
[SPEAKER_01]: Like hundreds of people walking around.
8:35
[SPEAKER_01]: I heard people go coffee.
8:36
[SPEAKER_01]: Where's the coffee?
8:37
[SPEAKER_01]: And where's the tins?
8:38
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like nine year ago.
8:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Not getting that year.
8:40
[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, that's just another thing.
8:42
[SPEAKER_00]: And then he has the goal to
8:47
[SPEAKER_01]: I kind of would love one of those while we're sitting there till I was out from lesson.
8:51
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, bless them.
8:52
[SPEAKER_01]: I just think that look The complain is wow, they're giving us too much the steak too juicy.
8:57
[SPEAKER_01]: It's cooked too right.
8:59
[SPEAKER_01]: It's going five hours long.
9:00
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like okay Four hours would just be Primo and four four plus with a coffee them are okay, but Alas we made it out
9:10
[SPEAKER_01]: And the long, long paper views, plus we went to a pressur and then somehow we made it out for a few cheeky drinks before the lovely 3 AM Montreal last call, by the way.
9:21
[SPEAKER_01]: And it has to stop this city, not this 2 AM that we're used to back home in Toronto.
9:26
[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah.
9:28
[SPEAKER_01]: it's been a fun two days.
9:31
[SPEAKER_01]: If you're listening to this, check out our socials at Poison Ronapud, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, whatever it is you use, give us a follow, especially here on our YouTube, it goes a little long way, all the little hearts and comments.
9:42
[SPEAKER_01]: It really helps us out.
9:44
[SPEAKER_01]: And Poison Ronapud.ca for links of everything that we do, including our SummerSlam, Tuneite Watch Party here in the city plus our.
9:51
[SPEAKER_01]: Patreon feed with tons of classic wrestling reviews, best match everpods, the champs here series, all the different series that we do patreon.com slash plays and run up.
10:01
[SPEAKER_01]: But we do tons of other shows and if maybe you're listening to us for the first time, sometimes we travel for these wrestling shows and we like to make new wrestling friends and maybe you're listening and you were one of those new or old wrestling friends from this weekend that we ran into in Montreal.
10:17
[SPEAKER_01]: Gotta start up a saying hello, boss,
10:21
[SPEAKER_01]: for you might, might face as bad.
10:22
[SPEAKER_01]: But always appreciate running into new and old friends on these weekends.
10:26
[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what makes these things vote.
10:29
[SPEAKER_01]: I got into wrestling because it gets us and gets us all this weird community of wrestling nerds and appreciate it.
10:38
[SPEAKER_01]: Hello there.
10:39
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, including that crazy dude dressed as macho man who goes to all the right.
10:43
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we can have that guy's a legend man with the with the with the fake snake that he had on the other day.
10:49
[SPEAKER_01]: That was just adding extra to the costume that he already felt shut it is the macho verse.
10:53
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that guy was awesome.
10:55
[SPEAKER_01]: But how are you doing?
10:59
[SPEAKER_00]: Today.
10:59
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm right.
11:00
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm I'm.
11:01
[SPEAKER_00]: speed up today.
11:02
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm tired.
11:03
[SPEAKER_00]: I've been doing a lot of walking here.
11:05
[SPEAKER_00]: It's been great.
11:06
[SPEAKER_00]: It's been lovely weather.
11:08
[SPEAKER_00]: It was threatening thunderstorms today, but you know, I don't think we're going to I don't think we're going to get them.
11:12
[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, yeah, I'm all right.
11:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Just
11:16
[SPEAKER_00]: need to slowly wipe myself off a bit, but yeah, not bad.
11:20
[SPEAKER_01]: I know we usually try to fit all this in on the night of the wrestling.
11:23
[SPEAKER_01]: We've done like walking podcasts from the venue and we just thought, let's give our set, well, it was my birthday yesterday and I was like, well, do I want to spend the last few hours just recording this when we could do it right now in the morning or maybe have one last baby before calling it a night.
11:39
[SPEAKER_01]: So I think we made the right decision.
11:40
[SPEAKER_01]: We would be probably
11:46
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it would have been a good show, you know?
11:48
[SPEAKER_00]: I think just it's hard to it's hard to get through after those kind of marathon shows and I think I think just having a sleep allows you to kind of segment the show a little bit and you'll head a bit more rather than just right after when you're a bit delirious to try and sit through these 11 matches.
12:14
[SPEAKER_01]: the Montrealers, is that what it is?
12:16
[SPEAKER_01]: The Canadians, um, there was a W redemption, but Saturday was mystery wrestling.
12:23
[SPEAKER_01]: Gotta shout out the Canadian peeps at mystery wrestling if you've watched the clips online or
12:30
[SPEAKER_01]: or thinking about going to a future show, I cannot recommend it enough.
12:34
[SPEAKER_01]: That was such a blast.
12:36
[SPEAKER_01]: And check out their socials and all that stuff.
12:38
[SPEAKER_01]: I know they got to show all in weekend.
12:40
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it sold out Toronto as well in September sold out, but it was this old pool that's been turned into a punk venue, like a DIY punk venue.
12:51
[SPEAKER_01]: That's an emptied out swimming pool that they did the show in.
12:55
[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't think I've ever watched
12:59
[SPEAKER_01]: So aside from that A, W, Dynamite, I guess on the beach that they did.
13:03
[SPEAKER_01]: But that wasn't in the pool.
13:04
[SPEAKER_01]: This one was and I thought this was super cool.
13:08
[SPEAKER_01]: I've never seen a show.
13:09
[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't even realize that was inside of the pool until someone pointed it out.
13:11
[SPEAKER_01]: But I cannot stress mystery wrestling.
13:14
[SPEAKER_00]: because some of the yeah characters that I really can't in the in the press that didn't ask about swimming pool city us about golf course it's but right yeah yeah maybe get the memo because he was too busy golfing uh to say apparently to be wrestling I guess yeah yeah maybe he likes golfing in Montreal maybe trying to get that golf swing
13:31
[SPEAKER_01]: back up.
13:31
[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, shout out Evalu, no, I cannot stress like that.
13:35
[SPEAKER_01]: That was one of the most fun indie shows ever.
13:38
[SPEAKER_01]: The mystery angels, we had Orange Cassidy show up, the deathwriters, Yuda and Garcia took on fresh air, who's definitely our favorites to watch on the Canadian indie scene.
13:49
[SPEAKER_01]: lately, caught them cheeks and all that stuff.
13:52
[SPEAKER_01]: It was, it was so great.
13:53
[SPEAKER_01]: So I cannot stress the ridiculousness plus some great wrestling.
13:58
[SPEAKER_01]: So I will be at the Toronto one as well.
14:00
[SPEAKER_01]: And I'll be hooting and hollering because I, it was fantastic.
14:03
[SPEAKER_01]: And some of the faces showed up.
14:05
[SPEAKER_01]: I noticed on, on draw days arm during his entrance, I was like, oh, I think that was one of the,
14:10
[SPEAKER_01]: the mystery angels that I watched.
14:11
[SPEAKER_01]: So indie wrestling alive and well, at least up here in the Great White Narts.
14:16
[SPEAKER_01]: So as always, support your indie wrestling, but shout out mystery wrestling.
14:20
[SPEAKER_01]: So that was Saturday night.
14:21
[SPEAKER_01]: We then far hopped around throughout the city.
14:24
[SPEAKER_01]: And then we knew we had a big day for Sunday with AEW redemption.
14:30
[SPEAKER_01]: We started out going to it.
14:32
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I had some duck
14:37
[SPEAKER_01]: Got a little ready for that.
14:38
[SPEAKER_01]: How do you feel about the prana bar?
14:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh fantastic.
14:42
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, great place.
14:44
[SPEAKER_00]: It got some pool tables, got some some fruces, some great staff.
14:49
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it was big fan.
14:50
[SPEAKER_01]: What does I just feel like people might not know what fruces means without contact?
14:54
[SPEAKER_00]: The fruity, a fruit machine, a slot machine, and one on bandit, if you will, gambling.
15:01
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and then actual physical piranhas in the bar.
15:05
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the nice touch, I guess, if you're named piranha, but yeah, cool bar and Montreal.
15:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Then we sent it on over to the center bell, the bell center in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
15:16
[SPEAKER_01]: Unfortunately, me and you missed the crowd booing the rujos.
15:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like, I just, uh, I'm not going to the pre-shows.
15:26
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, the these shows is just, it's just not happening.
15:31
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry, like, I think it's hours of show.
15:34
[SPEAKER_00]: It's yeah, it's there's I can catch it for free on YouTube after if I need to but yeah, I'm I'm getting in at about five minutes before the show starts and And as much as I love the Rujos and wanted to see them them on it.
15:51
[SPEAKER_00]: I did decide to finish my cider instead.
15:54
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I showed both yeah, unfortunately for the Rujos.
15:58
[SPEAKER_01]: I did watch the clip after and everyone was kind of
16:02
[SPEAKER_01]: joking about how it seemed like he turned it into a bit where he's like oh yeah I'm such a such a heal and like kiss my ass and all that so yeah people don't seem to really like you here actually maybe all the stories through these things which is interesting because you know it kind of just shows the audience space of how you're done right like I'm not saying the moveshows are on
16:28
[SPEAKER_00]: dislike.
16:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, good, but then apart from that like, you know, Netflix show he comes out he still gets allowed pop.
16:33
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, Brock Lesnar, you wouldn't watching the show, you wouldn't know that there's been some controversy surrounding Brock Lesnar recently or whatever, but it's the Rujos are like,
16:45
[SPEAKER_00]: respectively, solo down the totem pole.
16:48
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, surprised that this crowd, like, seen the know the shitty things that Jacques Huzhou in particular has done.
16:57
[SPEAKER_00]: So I, I, I was surprised, I, I, I thought it might be like just a respectful crowd, or maybe even a little subdued, but yeah, to to do this guy on the building was, was quite interesting.
17:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, uh, hilarious.
17:12
[SPEAKER_01]: Really.
17:13
[SPEAKER_01]: lesson.
17:14
[SPEAKER_01]: We missed that, but we made it in just as the paper view started to kick off.
17:19
[SPEAKER_01]: So we did miss the, sorry, there wasn't match the conglomeration.
17:24
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like glomeration, again, if the leaked will.
17:26
[SPEAKER_01]: There's, I, it's wrestling.
17:28
[SPEAKER_01]: They've always had pre-shows in Sunday night heat, but as I was saying earlier, this is already a five hour plus paper view.
17:35
[SPEAKER_01]: This is going to add another 30 to an hour on top of talking to certain people, especially sometimes when it's
17:43
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, hey, is it your first time in an AWS show or like you were, you were brought by a friend or a partner because we ran the thread the trend there is they didn't realize that they went into the show for the pre show at six, which means you're there for six hours in the shot trapped in an arena until the show ended and I kept hearing that like, oh, we wanted to go see the reshoes and we realized.
18:07
[SPEAKER_01]: We were stuck in here for the show ended at Midnight and people were like, what the, like, you got to have like two meals by that six hours goes by at that point, but yeah, we're to the reshows.
18:18
[SPEAKER_01]: We made it just in time now to see another French Canadian superstar finally have his moment in the Bell Center.
18:27
[SPEAKER_01]: We started the paper view off AEW Redemption six way ladder match to determine the number one contender for the.
18:34
[SPEAKER_01]: which belt is this, check notes, international championship.
18:38
[SPEAKER_01]: We had Speedball, Mike Bailey, home townboy, beating Jack Perry, Beast Mortos, Commander, Nick Wayne, and L. Clone.
18:46
[SPEAKER_01]: Basically, he beat everyone who got their visas fixed.
18:50
[SPEAKER_01]: No, that's it, it is.
18:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think, I think speedball should have had interventions on the show that they did all the instances on the pre show and I think maybe you should have done everyone else's entrance on the pre show but saved Bailey coming out for like the top of the
19:07
[SPEAKER_00]: top of the main broadcast.
19:09
[SPEAKER_00]: I'd say like entrance wise, speedball and actually Jack Perry seen the most over with this crowd.
19:15
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that says something about the match.
19:17
[SPEAKER_00]: Like I haven't seen maybe he's done a collision or something.
19:20
[SPEAKER_00]: I haven't seen Nick Wayne for ages.
19:22
[SPEAKER_00]: You mentioned there's been visa issues with Alcon, Commander, and Beesmortode.
19:27
[SPEAKER_00]: So they haven't been around for a long time.
19:29
[SPEAKER_00]: So I think this match was on paper, you know, you look at the people and you know,
19:36
[SPEAKER_00]: would have liked a bit of TV time dedicated to this and maybe especially like build up like even if it's just solo interviews build up a little bit ahead of this show what this match means to people might barely um because it's
19:54
[SPEAKER_00]: it felt a very, very much a, this match is going to be great, so let's shove it all together.
19:58
[SPEAKER_00]: But once you heard the reaction of people in this, with this crowd, and you know, it was, it was a modest crowd.
20:06
[SPEAKER_00]: It was 7,000.
20:06
[SPEAKER_00]: The bell centers a, a big, big arena.
20:10
[SPEAKER_00]: And, but they, they said it up pretty well.
20:13
[SPEAKER_00]: And,
20:14
[SPEAKER_00]: I haven't listened back to the broadcast, but it sounded loud at points and felt more than 7K at times, and certainly with speedball, like, he was incredibly over, and I think they could have told a little bit more of a story for him building up to this match.
20:30
[SPEAKER_01]: It's super great that he got this big moment.
20:33
[SPEAKER_01]: We saw him at the presser after and he was pretty very emotional talking about how this is a pretty big deal.
20:39
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, think about it.
20:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Any city you live in in this world that has the city arena that you grow up and go to, like, take finally, perform in it in your in your craft.
20:51
[SPEAKER_01]: Like we've watched this guy for years.
20:53
[SPEAKER_01]: I know I have on the Canadian independent.
20:56
[SPEAKER_01]: So finally, performing in the arena in your hometown.
21:00
[SPEAKER_01]: That's a pretty big deal.
21:01
[SPEAKER_01]: I would get emotional if I was in those shoes.
21:03
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I guess he doesn't wear shoes.
21:05
[SPEAKER_01]: This is barefoot, but I think the gripe here is I know we did our preview show just a few days ago leading into this weekend is he is the one hometown guy.
21:15
[SPEAKER_01]: AW is usually pretty good at treating hometown people.
21:19
[SPEAKER_01]: I just feel like there could have been a bigger spot for him.
21:24
[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much.
21:25
[SPEAKER_01]: possibly.
21:26
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I said, the reactions clearly show that people were showing up for speedball tonight and cheering and everything.
21:32
[SPEAKER_01]: So it's cool that he got this moment.
21:34
[SPEAKER_01]: This is a fun opening ladder match, but it's for like a contract that's for a TV match and everything like cool and great, but I do think maybe in hindsight, probably should have focused on the bigger, like I think
21:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think, well, start with the match itself.
21:57
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought it was Bailey and Commander, that really stole this match.
22:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Like Commander, some though, broke walk, like the broke walk into the label.
22:07
[SPEAKER_00]: So it's slashed through the table.
22:08
[SPEAKER_00]: It was fantastic.
22:09
[SPEAKER_00]: There was some really cool moments in this match.
22:14
[SPEAKER_00]: And obviously the right thing with Bailey winning.
22:16
[SPEAKER_00]: But
22:17
[SPEAKER_00]: I think this whole show had a lot of issues and kind of tried to press Tony a little bit of the presser about the challenges of booking this because we've said it on the show.
22:30
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, how do you
22:32
[SPEAKER_00]: you're trying to sell tickets to all it, right?
22:34
[SPEAKER_00]: So let's get that the idea of Osprey and Omega are out there at least with a tend to graphic as soon as possible, tools of injuries, like reports that maybe MJF's knee is still pretty busted up, so that's why they dropped the title when they did.
22:51
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think this card is very different than it was a month ago, six weeks ago or whatever.
23:02
[SPEAKER_00]: Lane Duck Challenger with the main event and who ever is facing Kenny and this main event you know aren't winning.
23:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you just go with the Bailey match and especially with kind of how this show ended with I don't think a heel turn from Kenny but maybe a leaning like we know we're going into Wendley we're going to Will's like home country and he's going to be the
23:30
[SPEAKER_00]: and maybe just the atmosphere of a Mike Bailey and Montreal challenging the title with Kenny sort of trying that out on leaning fuel a bit.
23:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Would have made a more like it's still you're going into it and being like well Mike Bailey's not winning this but might have been a bigger stage and and meant more to this this city.
23:48
[SPEAKER_01]: I just think you should have done Kevin night speed.
23:53
[SPEAKER_01]: even even have night beat him in Montreal and continue the story like not only did I leave you tag team partner I you know embarrassed you in Montreal and continue I'm assuming that's all in but at this point you know like some complaints going into this was what what has happened to some of my personal just as a watcher of the show what's what's happened with some of these
24:20
[SPEAKER_01]: and fletchered to cash to the stuff of the Coddale case starting to heat up, but speedball my Bailey in real life.
24:27
[SPEAKER_01]: You should still be upset with this dude for, you know, beating you up and becoming an a-hole.
24:34
[SPEAKER_01]: So I do feel like we could go to that match and this would have just been a perfect
24:38
[SPEAKER_01]: set up to that.
24:39
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, winner of that match is it's for the TNT title or winner of that gets a or I don't know, I don't know what it would have been, but they'd say really meant to position Kevin Knight is the future, right?
24:49
[SPEAKER_00]: We've seen it set in presses like we the new four pillar and all that and I think
24:55
[SPEAKER_00]: once the MJF match wasn't happening they saw this as an opportunity to test him in in these waters and and yeah doing it as a match where no one really buys a winning and hopefully you can overachieve but you have sacrificed two foods that he's been
25:13
[SPEAKER_00]: having and just blowing off on TV.
25:15
[SPEAKER_00]: And sure, we can, we can go back to them, but it does feel like both the Derby feud and the, and the feeble feud have, like, suffered in the process and kind of sizzle.
25:26
[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, you can, you can heat it up, but you can go like, well, why went, where was this animosity three weeks ago?
25:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, there.
25:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, the latter match here was cool.
25:37
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I said, everyone in it.
25:39
[SPEAKER_01]: I know you mentioned like wait Nick Lane.
25:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Why is here.
25:41
[SPEAKER_01]: I did watch was it Nick Wayne Jack Perry from like a week or two ago.
25:45
[SPEAKER_01]: It was pretty good.
25:46
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I know, honestly, the GCW relation there.
25:48
[SPEAKER_01]: But this match was fine.
25:50
[SPEAKER_01]: There's some crazy stuff.
25:51
[SPEAKER_01]: Speedball doing some jumping dives off ladders, getting the Montreal crowd going and then eventually goes, oh, that Nick Wayne 450 was pretty.
26:01
[SPEAKER_01]: pretty nuts actually off the the Phoenix splash actually what it was.
26:05
[SPEAKER_01]: It was a it was a cool ladder match and speedball got his moment.
26:08
[SPEAKER_01]: So the Bell Center was very happy with their their Montreal the one guy from Montreal on the show winning a match here.
26:15
[SPEAKER_01]: So that was, yes.
26:16
[SPEAKER_01]: One of the the happier moments on this show.
26:18
[SPEAKER_01]: I started in the good.
26:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, I got to say like I was so impressed with people at the presser and I think we we sort of and I hear other circles as well kind of you know joke about people a little work fantastic wrestler phenomenal wrestler and then you get behind he gets behind the mic and you're like all this guy so lovely but his promo is a necessary doing it for me and I've heard that from a lot of people.
26:46
[SPEAKER_00]: him and the press was one of the best I've heard in these things.
26:50
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought he sounded so eloquent and and was
26:56
[SPEAKER_00]: like effectively driving his story, you know, the stuff of Kevin Knight, the stuff of Carl Fletcher in this.
27:02
[SPEAKER_00]: And I'd love to see them.
27:05
[SPEAKER_00]: I know they tried that like fake presser with MJF and hang on page once, which didn't really work, but I'd love to try and see him more in this setting.
27:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it sit down interviews with Renee or things like that because I thought he came across so, so well.
27:20
[SPEAKER_00]: And, car, the best promo is career in this presser, essentially.
27:26
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no, he sounded like, and then he like cut this huge promo in French as well.
27:30
[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, yeah, he did, he did come across maybe he's like, think when when Osprey came into AW were we or in most people were like, one of the best wrestlers as promo game and then all of a sudden his promo game like stepped up.
27:44
[SPEAKER_01]: So it maybe it's the same thing.
27:45
[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, what's, what's your one weakness out there that you're good at?
27:49
[SPEAKER_01]: Some wrestlers can't do, you know, strikes or, or.
27:52
[SPEAKER_01]: That's like, this is fucking sometimes on the other show.
27:56
[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like maybe you pick out, okay, everyone says my promo game is maybe the one, you know, weak part or in my in my game, so focus on that.
28:06
[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, Ricky Shae, two and extent also kind of has right up and turning you on everything, so good for him.
28:11
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought he sounded great too.
28:13
[SPEAKER_00]: And I was a thing as well as.
28:15
[SPEAKER_00]: we complain about the amount of like championships and things in AEW.
28:19
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought he did a better job than anyone of kind of at least creating in his mind what the international championship means because he was kind of saying you know alluded to the you know the five year hiatus of not being able to go to the states to work because of bazaar issues and that he's traveled.
28:38
[SPEAKER_00]: internationally and has caught his teeth and made his name working overseas, working in your Metztoes, working in UK Europe, all of that Canada obviously.
28:47
[SPEAKER_00]: So to be like, you know, I won this contract in international waters Canada and I'm going to challenge in international waters in Mexico.
28:58
[SPEAKER_00]: He made this international championship more defined than I think anyone has since its
29:07
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we got a French Canadian calling out a Australian to face in Mexico.
29:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly.
29:12
[SPEAKER_01]: National, this title has gotten since starting.
29:15
[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I guess that is a plus from that.
29:19
[SPEAKER_01]: But I thought he sounded good to any, he's always a phenomenal wrestler whenever we watch him.
29:24
[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, like we've seen him wrestle in some very small venues over the years, over Canada, especially when he stuck up here.
29:30
[SPEAKER_01]: So to see him in an arena like that, it was really cool, so that's him.
29:35
[SPEAKER_01]: We went from that winning the contract there.
29:39
[SPEAKER_01]: We go to our next match.
29:40
[SPEAKER_01]: The young bucks taking on Will Osprey and John Moxley.
29:46
[SPEAKER_01]: What happened here with what the dog doing with Nick Jackson?
29:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Were they selling a...
29:52
[SPEAKER_01]: a like concussion angle in the beginning of this match.
29:55
[SPEAKER_01]: Now remember we we have not watched this show back with like commentary and all that stuff.
29:59
[SPEAKER_01]: We were literally their live last night.
30:00
[SPEAKER_01]: Went to the presser.
30:01
[SPEAKER_01]: Now are recording this point.
30:02
[SPEAKER_01]: So like maybe there was, you know, taz or Nigel and commentary explaining this, but we were just like, uh, is he hurt and then like no one's no one's checking on them.
30:12
[SPEAKER_01]: So we're like, okay, clearly.
30:13
[SPEAKER_01]: Angle.
30:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's interesting, right?
30:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I think a lot, a lot of times late without commentary when you're in a live audience.
30:24
[SPEAKER_00]: But sometimes you do need that a little bit of handholding to take you through because, yeah, I think it was him and Osprey not heads early in the match.
30:33
[SPEAKER_00]: And then,
30:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Nick just keeps on selling that he's rocked, but it meant the match just kept on sort of stopping a little bit.
30:41
[SPEAKER_00]: And as we get into like, you know, act two and at three of the match, you realize, oh, it's part of the story, because then it plays with the melodrama of offering not one able to trigger and kill Nick Jackson, although I think just a year ago at all
31:00
[SPEAKER_00]: but it did mean like at the beginning we're all like oh it's something off here this isn't kind of connecting as it should and I felt that in just the like the volume of the crowd and then once it was kind of made a pit apparent that oh this is this is part of the match this story I think everything live and dark and um
31:24
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, one of the better matches of the show and this ongoing melodrama of whether Osprey can pull the trigger.
31:34
[SPEAKER_01]: Any time, Oscar in the box, you know, worked together, think PWG, any of the crazy, multi-matches we've seen in AWS, like it is magic.
31:42
[SPEAKER_01]: I love they fit hand in hand, like they must be made because they work so while the chemistry, all those years ago to now is still up there.
31:50
[SPEAKER_01]: The match with Swarve at all in last year.
31:53
[SPEAKER_01]: This one, for me, I was really looking forward to this, because it reminded me of, we were at Vancouver when it was
32:02
[SPEAKER_01]: the the stuff the mellow drama like you say in the beginning with Nick it kind of took me out a little bit because I'm like okay we already got Matt Jackson still selling the back from like rest looking to 12 we got now Nick Jackson like oh I'm I'm can custom like well then stop the match
32:21
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I always had an issue that if a referee has to kind of separate to like check on someone, the match is over in my opinion, it's a TKO, but I think I think this bit match had to be this way it had to be a story match just to get where we're going because otherwise it is just
32:45
[SPEAKER_00]: throw these four good wrestlers out to have a good match.
32:47
[SPEAKER_00]: And especially a month out from from Wendley and the story you being telling with Will on the Death Riders, it kind of had to have this this melodrama involved with it.
32:59
[SPEAKER_01]: Then like once, you know, you got five minutes into it past then it started to really
33:05
[SPEAKER_01]: Eat up the story of Nick kind of coming back to like no, no, no, we got to we got to prove for these guys and what is it will kind of sacrificing self and then ultimately the bucks doing the the super kick party super kick funeral to moxley and pinning him so that was and it was Nick Jackson.
33:25
[SPEAKER_01]: pinning in.
33:25
[SPEAKER_01]: So what the dog doing, you know?
33:29
[SPEAKER_01]: I actually eventually really got into this match.
33:31
[SPEAKER_01]: And I was interested in the the bucks and moxley like chemistry there.
33:37
[SPEAKER_01]: And I think it worked pretty well actually.
33:39
[SPEAKER_01]: I would I would like to see another match with moxley and a partner versus the bucks down the line.
33:44
[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, this was a
33:45
[SPEAKER_01]: It was a little bit of a slow start for me with the over-the-top thing with Nick, but then once they got going, I really enjoyed it.
33:52
[SPEAKER_01]: So the bucks, number one tag team this year, like, they've been really crushing with a lot of their stuff.
33:59
[SPEAKER_01]: Once again, proving, year by year, like, oh, people start talking shit about us, okay, we'll go out there and and prove it.
34:04
[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, love the bucks.
34:08
[SPEAKER_01]: went from that match to our next match.
34:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Singles match for the AW International Championship.
34:15
[SPEAKER_01]: How Fletcher defending against Bandito here in Montreal.
34:21
[SPEAKER_01]: Think, maybe talking to most people in the arena afterwards at some bars consensus this might be the match of the night.
34:29
[SPEAKER_01]: And I think going into it we were like, this is probably going to be the match of the night.
34:32
[SPEAKER_01]: And I think it was, I think it was when it comes to mind,
34:38
[SPEAKER_00]: I think there's something always we call blech, he's such an incredible wrestler and I think he's evolution over the last two years.
34:48
[SPEAKER_00]: I think before like the haircut and the body transformation of all that, he always felt like Willow spray liked and so well, we've already got the willow spray in this company ready.
34:58
[SPEAKER_00]: So why do we need him and he's changed so much and I wouldn't even compare his style to Willow
35:10
[SPEAKER_00]: he's pretty dangerous when he rep like the the ideas he has you know the top road brainbuster and crazy stopping stone still steps and aprons and things like that where your like heart is in your mouth for a lot of these matches and when you you just see the match graphic oh he's against another nutcase in bandido like this is going to be great and this was great I had a lot of fun with this one
35:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Lots of brain busters, he beat to cash to with the top rope generic oak brain buster.
35:43
[SPEAKER_01]: And he did, he did it this way too, but that move is scary.
35:47
[SPEAKER_01]: It looked like almost he'd get a bandie to like on the ropes with it instead.
35:52
[SPEAKER_00]: It was, yeah, like on the road problem, the padding of the time buckle.
35:55
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, Bandito has been put a Montpade review, have a stellar match and lose for quite a while, but at least he's on the paid review, and every time he's still in the show pretty much, I really really enjoyed this one.
36:10
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if I'd put it up there as like,
36:14
[SPEAKER_01]: match the year contender with some of the stuff we've seen this year, but when I came to this show, I would say it was probably the show's dealer for this one.
36:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Credit to Fletcher as well to who write his best to set up for the 21plex in the league, contrived way as possible, you know, selling, dragging himself to the ropes.
36:33
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to say with comment here, but I think you understand what I mean.
36:38
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought this this show had a lot of
36:43
[SPEAKER_00]: second best match of the show, shows, matches, but I didn't think that was the best match of the show.
36:48
[SPEAKER_00]: I know that's a weird statement, but I think any other AEW paper view, this match
37:03
[SPEAKER_00]: a main event that tops it or something like that and I'd be like yeah I'm put that one number two.
37:08
[SPEAKER_00]: I felt all of these like probably three or four matches on this show I'd have put it number two but I didn't have anyone that like none of them reached that final gear and I think as good as this was there was there was a gear higher than this and
37:26
[SPEAKER_00]: maybe some of that again is is just not buying into Bandito winning this and maybe maybe having a speed boom promo after winning the the the championship.
37:39
[SPEAKER_00]: It's sorry that the number one contenders in the ring and before this match saying,
37:45
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna go to Mexico, which might put in our heads.
37:48
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, they're going to Mexico.
37:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Banditos from Mexico.
37:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe Banditos, when in this title tonight, I'm taking it there.
37:56
[SPEAKER_00]: At least put that seeded out, but...
37:59
[SPEAKER_00]: But Bandito's great.
38:01
[SPEAKER_00]: He's got to have a win on tape if you sue, right?
38:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, there's only like, like, at some point, you're going to become gold Ziggler.
38:09
[SPEAKER_00]: If you continue with this, like, he was winning in a tag team.
38:13
[SPEAKER_01]: So, yeah, he's bringing water champion, you know, I think, yeah, like, he's bringing water champion in a tag team who's going for another singles belt.
38:23
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's A, W. I love both these guys.
38:25
[SPEAKER_01]: And it's crazy.
38:26
[SPEAKER_01]: I think in the
38:29
[SPEAKER_01]: match, which is, which is not, but both these guys are a great hand in AEW, like you put either of these two on a paper view, and then usually putting on a stellar performance, so I do gotta shout out, Kyle Fletcher is just, I can't like think in, like a year or two years when he eventually does like this baby face turn, and then goes back to being, you know, I just think he is one of the, the better, like we got this ace up our sleeves,
38:57
[SPEAKER_01]: you can get he can get done.
38:58
[SPEAKER_01]: He's one of my favorites to watch in AWS.
39:01
[SPEAKER_00]: I think he could be a great baby face as well.
39:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Like he he's I find he finds it hard to be an asshole in these like he's so real about being unlikable on the TV show.
39:13
[SPEAKER_00]: When I use him last year and then in the press
39:26
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the presser so speed balls talking shit about him and then they tried to do this angle work lecture then comes out and now they don't do this often at these presses but the lecture comes out with his belt and just stands there and then you think they're going to fight and there's like no fighting and he's pretty much like no no I'll wait for you please I'm just going to stand here It's like no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no
39:45
[SPEAKER_00]: You're so like, hello, like, how are you doing?
39:47
[SPEAKER_01]: I think this is nice Aussie accent.
39:50
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, man, you're going to be a great, like, when you're a baby face and do some big tours in Australia, you should be crushed.
39:56
[SPEAKER_01]: Here, I do love her.
39:57
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
39:59
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I think.
40:02
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe we should play with the idea of him, if we're keeping him here, that we're not going to do the baby face turn anytime soon.
40:09
[SPEAKER_00]: I'd really toy with the idea of him defeating Osprey for the title.
40:14
[SPEAKER_00]: We all assume Osprey's winning at Wendley, like, you know, do
40:20
[SPEAKER_00]: do a fair run with Osprey, but maybe full gear, or well-zend, or something like that, a fletcher tie to win and a tie to run, I think he's more than ready for it.
40:30
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, quite yet.
40:32
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, like not yet, because we do want to let the stories play out of some of the people who are.
40:38
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, geared up for, you know, aspirated title run and all that stuff, but I wouldn't be against it like in the in the new year, especially in the new year.
40:45
[SPEAKER_00]: I think, you know, sometimes classic season because I think that's when that's when they played about with Joe second reign, you know, you've got the focus of TV is continental classic and that way's draws pretty well.
40:57
[SPEAKER_00]: I think that the time of year you could play about with the idea of
41:03
[SPEAKER_00]: like not one of your top bullguys being being the champion for a bit and because I put a lot of stock in Calfletcha.
41:11
[SPEAKER_01]: So we're still going to go, I mean, Fletcha retains here.
41:16
[SPEAKER_01]: We got the announcement of the August 5th Mexico show is Fletcha versus Speedball 3, right?
41:23
[SPEAKER_01]: Like the rubber match here where it's one one a piece.
41:26
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean,
41:27
[SPEAKER_01]: That could have been on this, with Skidball getting a big moment.
41:31
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, that also could be an all-in match, really.
41:34
[SPEAKER_01]: I just think the chemistry that those two had, especially that first one in the continental, we're supposed to be back at the win, like, oh man, what a match that was.
41:42
[SPEAKER_01]: So anytime you put, like, trying to match on and speedball, yeah, man, vendida.
41:46
[SPEAKER_01]: So we do have some good heaters, but I do still think he's got to keep this title all the way till,
41:53
[SPEAKER_01]: to all in and do the triple threat with Takeshda.
41:55
[SPEAKER_01]: Triple threat, that's still in my head.
41:59
[SPEAKER_01]: And that match should be beautiful.
42:02
[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, Fletcher is one of the ones to watch it.
42:04
[SPEAKER_01]: I think this was my match.
42:06
[SPEAKER_01]: And this, I like the main event.
42:08
[SPEAKER_01]: And dare I say, we'll talk about Chris Jericho, which I definitely didn't think was going to be on.
42:13
[SPEAKER_01]: My bingo card.
42:14
[SPEAKER_01]: But it was one of the highlights of this show.
42:17
[SPEAKER_01]: Have a good day.
42:18
[SPEAKER_01]: the show turned into Sunday night collision, Sunday night dynamite, as we went to the tag team chain match.
42:27
[SPEAKER_01]: So you may be asking yourself, what, what, what, how do we get here?
42:30
[SPEAKER_01]: We got the bang bang gang, J.
42:32
[SPEAKER_01]: White and Juice, taking on David Philly and Clark Conner's the dogs.
42:37
[SPEAKER_01]: They've been
42:46
[SPEAKER_01]: How do we how do we get to a double chain match?
42:48
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, this tag's name is the dogs and the bang bang gang have been doing tons of Promos and vignettes about dogs and you've seen the animal shelter one, which is pretty awesome So you would imagine this is to set up a dog collar match.
43:06
[SPEAKER_01]: No, you're just gonna tie it to each other's hands at least it's not a touch the four corners match
43:15
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I think this was everyone's least favorite match on the show, uh, unfortunate.
43:20
[SPEAKER_01]: There might be an argument for the next one, but a lot of people were coming out of this show, bitching and moaning about chains, because I think a lot of people just assumed there was some slip ups or boxes because of the chains.
43:34
[SPEAKER_01]: And another argument, a lot of people said they couldn't really see what was happening with the chains in person, which I personally didn't have an issue.
43:40
[SPEAKER_01]: They could still see everything when you were sitting pretty close.
43:44
[SPEAKER_01]: this was uh... this was a bit of a miss for me uh... and i like all four guys don't get me wrong but i i i didn't like this this might be one of my least favorite ii w pipe you match it's afa this might be one of my only way that he paper views i've been to actually a lot of it might be at the the the the bottom of paper views now i still remember that root rampage redemption that wasn't a paper view though but we pay to go view it so i mean argument there yeah like
44:12
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I'm not putting this as low as, you know, the dentist match we had with big swollen Brit Baker.
44:21
[SPEAKER_00]: But this was bad, like this wasn't good.
44:23
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think, and we've said before, like these guys, I don't get excited about watching the Bang Bang Bang, the Bang Bang gang, all the dogs.
44:31
[SPEAKER_00]: But they want me around in matches before.
44:35
[SPEAKER_00]: And I actually thought when the stipulation was announced, I was like, actually, this could be really good.
44:39
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, we had that incredible dog collar match with FTR and the bristos a few years ago.
44:47
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think this should have been a dog collar match.
44:50
[SPEAKER_00]: it felt like these guys planned their match like went through it all with the producer and then were about to go out there and they went oh shit we forgot we're chained up oh oh share we've just come up with a regular tag match should we
45:08
[SPEAKER_00]: All right, you know what, we'll just whip each other with the chains a few times.
45:12
[SPEAKER_00]: That was it.
45:13
[SPEAKER_00]: There was nothing created, no creative spots about it.
45:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, when we see previous chain matches, they used the chains to like set up moves and things like that.
45:23
[SPEAKER_00]: They were tripping over the chains.
45:26
[SPEAKER_00]: There was like a
45:31
[SPEAKER_00]: broken is because he's like, what up in the chain is he's getting slammed down a part of that I can remember nothing I just remember that sound that you know like it's it's it's sometimes when yeah like when I when I worked in a theatre box office and the bones just going all day and I'll do a 10 hour shift and then I'll be going to bed at night and I still hear the phone ringing even though it's not
45:55
[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like I'm going to have to sound at these fucking chains in my head, like just enough for that thing.
46:00
[SPEAKER_01]: Who's this?
46:01
[SPEAKER_00]: And now.
46:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we get enough with just the toy, but yeah, I thought this dull, I think if you're especially a company like AEW, you're doing a dark color match with chain match, you're expecting some blood.
46:15
[SPEAKER_00]: I think we only had blood in the the Champa Jericho match, and maybe they're trying to be a little bit more
46:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
46:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Let's not just play it in every single match, but I think this would have taken it up and not just if you had a bit of color to make it feel brutal.
46:30
[SPEAKER_00]: It just felt like a tag.
46:31
[SPEAKER_00]: This was almost like one hand behind your back match where it's like, why are we doing this?
46:35
[SPEAKER_00]: You're just hindering these people and it didn't live up to the violence it should have been I thought it was clumsy.
46:42
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, I think I was going into it with like, not a lot of hype.
46:47
[SPEAKER_01]: Again, I'd like these teams, but the stories, it's kind of midcard storyline here.
46:54
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I said, collision storylines here.
46:56
[SPEAKER_01]: And they've had some good stuff.
46:57
[SPEAKER_01]: And again, I'm not just writing these characters off.
46:59
[SPEAKER_01]: I do like everyone involved.
47:01
[SPEAKER_01]: It's just something was definitely off.
47:03
[SPEAKER_01]: I really did not enjoy this match.
47:05
[SPEAKER_01]: And looking around, no one like talking to people
47:12
[SPEAKER_01]: the low point of the show, unfortunately, and I was pretty bored from it.
47:16
[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, I keep now saying, I just keep hearing chains in the back of my head.
47:21
[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like we could still continue this feud, probably they're going to go to J White, finally one on one, which I guess is all in, right, like, or at least maybe they could be in the kitchen.
47:31
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, or some sort of like stadium stampede with the groups versus each other.
47:36
[SPEAKER_00]: I feed not being more likely.
47:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the
47:42
[SPEAKER_01]: To me they're the same thing.
47:44
[SPEAKER_01]: These groups are the same.
47:46
[SPEAKER_01]: You're all okay again.
47:47
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna reiterate.
47:48
[SPEAKER_01]: I am a fan of these guys.
47:50
[SPEAKER_01]: I like all these guys and I think there is they could still go to bigger places.
47:54
[SPEAKER_01]: Hell, I'll defend J White.
47:56
[SPEAKER_01]: I like J White too.
47:57
[SPEAKER_01]: I like all of it.
47:58
[SPEAKER_01]: But like they are all the worst versions of the Bullet Club.
48:05
[SPEAKER_01]: all of them.
48:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, okay, maybe the guns who weren't really in it, but like, and now they're all beefing with each other.
48:11
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, who asked for this?
48:13
[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't night it in.
48:14
[SPEAKER_01]: And I, I just feel like after this, maybe just do the singles match and move on to different things.
48:22
[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't even know what that would do because these two teams are very, very similar.
48:25
[SPEAKER_01]: And we have a lot of them.
48:26
[SPEAKER_01]: And I think all all things aside like the dogs coming in have been a good hand, but I didn't, I didn't like this.
48:36
[SPEAKER_01]: We went from that match, Sunday night collision continues with my old world taking on Hikaru Shita for her TBS championship.
48:45
[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I'm not gonna lie.
48:47
[SPEAKER_01]: This was where I had to go find coffee.
48:50
[SPEAKER_01]: I had to pick my spot.
48:52
[SPEAKER_01]: I just watched a 20 minute chain match where nothing happened.
48:56
[SPEAKER_01]: And then Hikaru Shita came out to the X-Men theme.
48:58
[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, I'm so sorry to do the stereotype when it's the women's match.
49:02
[SPEAKER_01]: But if I don't do it now,
49:05
[SPEAKER_01]: I have to miss something else and I chose that you got to pick your battles at these things.
49:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Unfortunately, it looked like everyone else in the venue decided that too because there was a lot of people leaving for this matchup here.
49:20
[SPEAKER_01]: So take it away because I actually didn't watch this match.
49:24
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry.
49:25
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I just didn't need to fucking go.
49:29
[SPEAKER_00]: This wasn't my world versus Mercedes mine and unfortunately and I think I kind of always my opinions of Karoshida on the review show like I feel she's with rest and I don't enjoy her character work, I don't enjoy her acting
49:50
[SPEAKER_00]: And she's coming across Clomsia, I find.
49:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe Clomsia's not the right word, but I don't think her strikes look like there's any like mustard behind them.
50:02
[SPEAKER_00]: And my world is still like really new to it.
50:05
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think she's, I think she's great.
50:07
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think there's, you know, there's a,
50:12
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to say night story because that's really horrible considering the serpent stances, you know, her a brother and that.
50:18
[SPEAKER_00]: But I think there is this, there is this, this story of, you know, dog story, yeah, underdog and taking opportunities when like we joke about, you know, CM Punk, when an opportunity falls from the sky, but it has kind of been that with my world.
50:33
[SPEAKER_00]: You had the, uh, the,
50:36
[SPEAKER_00]: the Magra and Weeknees pulling out and her stepping into that tag match, which got her noticed at the first place.
50:42
[SPEAKER_00]: And then, you know, the willow injury with the Owen happening to coincide with the week her brother passed away.
50:50
[SPEAKER_00]: And then, then giving her that opportunity and feeling sky blue.
50:53
[SPEAKER_00]: And then, they're being a little story with Athena.
50:56
[SPEAKER_00]: And actually, we can we can take this route to the
51:06
[SPEAKER_00]: What would you rate it here?
51:11
[SPEAKER_00]: But here I don't think she does connecting as a heal.
51:17
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't necessarily find her this darsely heal.
51:19
[SPEAKER_00]: I find it really cosplay, her like really trying to be a baddie.
51:27
[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't think they did a good job setting up this match.
51:31
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, maybe they don't have the confidence in my a yet to
51:35
[SPEAKER_00]: cut a promo in the ring or something, but I think this needed it, I think, for this to be more successful and especially in the middle of a long pay for you with a lot of matches on it, I think you really needed to play up the my world underdog story a little bit more for it, and maybe maybe have cheetah be a little nastier and a couple of beat-downs leading into this.
51:59
[SPEAKER_00]: Whereas it was just a match where no one, no one was into this at all, like, unfortunately.
52:07
[SPEAKER_00]: And then a shock wind that just feels, well, I'm really happy my world got her moment, but I think there was maybe...
52:15
[SPEAKER_00]: A better moment to be crafted, either on this show or just another date and it was unfortunate.
52:21
[SPEAKER_00]: It's up for a lot of reasons.
52:23
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't think the match was very good, either unfortunately.
52:26
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't think they worked well together and there was a lot of awkwardness in this one, unfortunately.
52:32
[SPEAKER_01]: I do agree with Shida, like I think.
52:34
[SPEAKER_01]: she's she's what been champion and then this this heal thing with the kendo sticks and all that I don't I don't know what it is, but I really don't do not like it either.
52:43
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not believable.
52:44
[SPEAKER_01]: It's something something about it is I agree.
52:47
[SPEAKER_01]: Like it feels feels really fake and force and not necessarily like she's really trying to do this character and and the wrestling has been connected with me at least for a very long time since maybe her first
53:00
[SPEAKER_00]: She stood out when the company started because the women's division was just there.
53:05
[SPEAKER_00]: Not at the level it is today and I think the division around her has improved where she's there.
53:11
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you stay the same.
53:12
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I like my world and I think this is a a little bit of a hey we could have went with you feeding Mercedes.
53:20
[SPEAKER_01]: But instead, here's a constellation pride.
53:23
[SPEAKER_01]: Here's, you know, here's this title.
53:25
[SPEAKER_01]: And I think, I think it's probably for the best.
53:27
[SPEAKER_01]: I think up and coming new, underdog character that maybe people can get behind, do some defenses and put people right.
53:34
[SPEAKER_00]: So do the Athena, do, could you do Athena?
53:37
[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, Olin, do you see this title being defended at Olin?
53:40
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you asked her, you asked her last night.
53:42
[SPEAKER_01]: You said, hey, who do you want to face, which I think every time you ask the champion that we've learned is,
53:49
[SPEAKER_01]: not that sometimes they can get very angry at you as I've learned.
53:52
[SPEAKER_01]: I think I've asked some wrestlers who you want to face are like, I'm the fucking champion.
53:56
[SPEAKER_01]: They should face me.
53:57
[SPEAKER_01]: She kind of wanted to say that to you, but she was be a nice, so she's like, yeah, I'm not done with Athena.
54:01
[SPEAKER_01]: So right away, everyone.
54:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, we could go back to that.
54:05
[SPEAKER_00]: So.
54:05
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, or the casino gauntlet, right?
54:08
[SPEAKER_01]: Again, there's only so many matches you can add on a six hour paper view in Wembley that maybe they do the casinos and some of the fudes blow off in that match.
54:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, both the men's and the women's, right?
54:21
[SPEAKER_01]: But so there you go.
54:23
[SPEAKER_01]: My world, at least winning title, moving forward with the TBS title.
54:28
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we'll see what happens with that.
54:30
[SPEAKER_01]: We went from that title match to another the AW World Tag Team Champions Agent Coke in their home country of Canada, CNC, defeating the Death Riders, Claudio and Pack.
54:44
[SPEAKER_01]: tag team match.
54:45
[SPEAKER_01]: I joke that it felt like this is the third collision match in a row here where I'm like, if I saw the graphic for collision, I don't know if I would necessarily be running to go check it out.
54:57
[SPEAKER_01]: But I have been banging the drum that I really have liked Cajun Cop in this run.
55:02
[SPEAKER_01]: I love the FTR feud, love that match.
55:05
[SPEAKER_01]: But
55:07
[SPEAKER_01]: I wanted to see them versus the young bucks tonight and we didn't get that.
55:10
[SPEAKER_01]: We get the graphic for the next paper view.
55:13
[SPEAKER_01]: So I feel like people going into this show who bought tickets were for some reason assuming that we were going to get the bucks and co-op encryption.
55:21
[SPEAKER_01]: And then we got the two teams in different matches on the show, I was kind of pleasantly surprised.
55:26
[SPEAKER_01]: There was actually some really good stuff.
55:28
[SPEAKER_01]: Now, of course, Claudio and Pack.
55:29
[SPEAKER_01]: They're not, they're no slouches when it comes to wrestling.
55:31
[SPEAKER_01]: It's just, the characters have been pretty cold.
55:34
[SPEAKER_01]: The issue with Demand WWE was, yeah, you're really good wrestlers, but we don't, the ceiling is there.
55:39
[SPEAKER_01]: And then they come to AEW and the ceiling is your John Locksley's sidekick.
55:43
[SPEAKER_01]: So they've completely fallen into the same
55:46
[SPEAKER_01]: like level.
55:47
[SPEAKER_01]: If that makes sense, so I just didn't buy them ever winning this match, like some of the other matches on this show.
55:54
[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that kind of heard it.
55:56
[SPEAKER_01]: There was some cool stuff in it.
55:57
[SPEAKER_01]: Again, I think Cage and Copa really stepped up and been good in this role.
56:01
[SPEAKER_01]: So I liked it more than I thought I was going to like it.
56:04
[SPEAKER_01]: I'll guess I'll leave it at that.
56:07
[SPEAKER_00]: I think apart from the last few matches, who just talked about, I, this company is full of great wrestlers.
56:13
[SPEAKER_00]: So for the most part, you're not going to get bad wrestling on these paperviews, but I think you do want something of substance and consequences, and it just like, unfortunately, that's the real difficulty of booking this paperview is,
56:31
[SPEAKER_00]: it, it makes it lane dock challenges, unfortunately, and I think, because we've all, like, fancy books that, triangle, ladder match, or whatever, at all then, I think in our heads, you're looking at the story beats and you go, well,
56:49
[SPEAKER_00]: You could do the box versus carbon cage here if we're then going to a three way or a hallway at the paper view.
56:55
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think if you see that's the way you're going, there's also the chance that the box beatcagent hope on this one and they go into all in and everyone else is chasing them.
57:08
[SPEAKER_00]: I think there's more different ways you can go whereas you just see the matte graphic and you're like,
57:16
[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
57:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, we know who's winning this one.
57:18
[SPEAKER_00]: And yes, there'll be good wrestling because, you know, pack and Claudia were fantastic, but I can't get invested in it at all when that's, yeah, that's how I felt with the match.
57:27
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought it was, I can't really fault it, but I'll probably never watch it again, and it has left any lasting pressure on me.
57:35
[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I agree.
57:37
[SPEAKER_00]: This could be a, this could have been a collision main event or whatever.
57:41
[SPEAKER_01]: The three matches back to back here.
57:44
[SPEAKER_01]: word, it was a struggle for me.
57:47
[SPEAKER_01]: It's just all three matches back to back.
57:50
[SPEAKER_01]: We're the three coldest matches.
57:53
[SPEAKER_00]: I said, yes, I didn't think the pacing of this show was as good as some of the others.
57:57
[SPEAKER_00]: I think I think the the box of spring mocks match could have gone a lot later in the show.
58:05
[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, I've worked out up a bit.
58:07
[SPEAKER_01]: I got to say, I love this tweet we got.
58:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Shout out, you know, any listeners out there, we're always, you could follow us Instagram, Twitter, or whatnot, but we did our preview show, which I would say we probably sounded pretty negative on it going into this paper view.
58:22
[SPEAKER_01]: And we had flights, we had flights and tickets, and everything to go to the show.
58:25
[SPEAKER_01]: We're like, eh, we're not super excited about this show, which is what we were saying.
58:30
[SPEAKER_01]: And someone tweeted us this week, being like, hey, thought you guys were pretty negative.
58:36
[SPEAKER_01]: on your preview show.
58:39
[SPEAKER_01]: And I responded like, hey, we're always very honest.
58:42
[SPEAKER_01]: We don't got a dog in the fight.
58:43
[SPEAKER_01]: We just, you know, as soon as the paper of you ended, and we are waiting to go in the presser, I looked at my phone and the same person messaged us back and said, my bad, you guys were right.
58:55
[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, that is the most valid dating thing ever where someone who we weren't arguing and saying nasty things online.
59:03
[SPEAKER_01]: So I got a shout out this person was like, hey, I'm not like just shitting on you guys.
59:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Like you guys were just shitting it.
59:08
[SPEAKER_01]: You were giving reason.
59:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Like we always do.
59:09
[SPEAKER_01]: And then just to get a message back from this person, be like, nah, I was wrong.
59:13
[SPEAKER_01]: You guys were totally right.
59:14
[SPEAKER_01]: This is a bit of a collision paper, he was like, wow.
59:18
[SPEAKER_00]: feel like I'm feeling about it.
59:20
[SPEAKER_00]: We're not we're not getting paid to go to these shows.
59:23
[SPEAKER_00]: We do because yes, we we cover and we're trying to we're trying to build something and and yes, we we do get a little bit of income from doing it, but it it's this cost us to go to and we do it because we
59:36
[SPEAKER_00]: We like it, and yes, even being negative on this show, think we still saw a good wrestling show, you know?
59:42
[SPEAKER_00]: But it's when you look at the pantheon of AEW paper views of the past, the bar is like, the bar is an A plus show all the time.
59:52
[SPEAKER_00]: So when you deliver a B, it feels like a, it can't feel like a D. Do you know what I mean?
59:58
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, yeah, still, it's really good resting on this show and some like right moments and things, but just didn't feel consequential like top to bottom and it's not going to be a show I'm going to remember.
1:00:10
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think there'll be anything from the show and I put back on like match the year stuff or I'm only stuff to happen.
1:00:18
[SPEAKER_01]: But shout out Rhonda, I just looked up at things saying Rhonda says me and my husband love listening to you guys all the time.
1:00:23
[SPEAKER_01]: So thank you Rhonda.
1:00:24
[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate that.
1:00:25
[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
1:00:25
[SPEAKER_01]: Love that tweet.
1:00:26
[SPEAKER_01]: It was like you weren't saying anything like super evil either, which we can always
1:00:31
[SPEAKER_01]: disagree as wrestling fans.
1:00:32
[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't need to instantly go.
1:00:34
[SPEAKER_01]: We fuck WWE and fuck you.
1:00:36
[SPEAKER_00]: You're wrong.
1:00:37
[SPEAKER_00]: And I hope you died.
1:00:38
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, even when we shit on the UFC on the White House, we had a listener who was clearly upset that we did not like the white trash party.
1:00:51
[SPEAKER_01]: Later, they were like, hey, I just didn't agree with you guys, but I still listen.
1:00:54
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, that's how you do it.
1:00:56
[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
1:00:58
[SPEAKER_01]: you can all have our differences.
1:01:00
[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes you can be wrong, especially in that instance with the White House thing, but you know.
1:01:05
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyways, I digress.
1:01:06
[SPEAKER_01]: We go on from that was collision still rolling on.
1:01:08
[SPEAKER_01]: We went from that match.
1:01:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
1:01:12
[SPEAKER_01]: The next match.
1:01:13
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I mean, okay, wait.
1:01:14
[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry.
1:01:15
[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry.
1:01:15
[SPEAKER_01]: Let me review on that.
1:01:16
[SPEAKER_01]: So the bucks come out.
1:01:18
[SPEAKER_01]: They do the stair down.
1:01:20
[SPEAKER_01]: And in the crowd, they just go face to face with coping Christian in the ring and in the arena the screen pops up the graphic bucks versus coping cage at all in and then they just look at it and they go, eh, there you go.
1:01:35
[SPEAKER_01]: And I think everyone in the Bell Center was like, we wanted that much tonight, but okay, I guess I guess we're getting it at all in that's cool too.
1:01:44
[SPEAKER_01]: But then at the presser.
1:01:47
[SPEAKER_01]: I said to you though, watching it, I go, hmm, this week, they're announcing a face-to-face on dynamite, like a promo segment between the two tag teams.
1:01:56
[SPEAKER_01]: And Tony Khan and the press is like, oh, yes, as it stands, that's the match.
1:02:00
[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, oh, yeah, why did you say it that way?
1:02:02
[SPEAKER_01]: So I think FTRR are going to interrupt on Wednesday, and I think we will get the triple threat before we even get the singles, the tag team.
1:02:10
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we know FTRR in London.
1:02:12
[SPEAKER_00]: They're booked with the record post show,
1:02:15
[SPEAKER_00]: the night before.
1:02:17
[SPEAKER_00]: So we know they're going to be there.
1:02:21
[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, it's the, the, as it stands, but I, I read that as two ways because it's a way of, I've got us still trying to beat the next four weeks of TV compelling and give the impression that things can change, but all was it a, yeah, that's
1:02:45
[SPEAKER_00]: do you want to spread it out like do you do you need to do the three way at all in?
1:02:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Like you've got you've got to pick you a month basically.
1:02:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Like is that an all-out match?
1:02:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Like the new day did the new day actually have to wrestle at all in or could they just show up off the match and stare down the the champion is is that as effective but I don't know like
1:03:12
[SPEAKER_00]: You've also just had a lot of them on this show like that hasn't stopped companies in the past and doing back-back ladder matches on-pake football.
1:03:22
[SPEAKER_00]: This could, this could just be the match at this point.
1:03:25
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure.
1:03:25
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm okay with that too.
1:03:26
[SPEAKER_01]: Which is great.
1:03:27
[SPEAKER_00]: Like it's never happened and two biggest tactics of all time.
1:03:31
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, yeah, I, I, I shouldn't be sour on it.
1:03:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, but I, I do, I do still wonder.
1:03:38
[SPEAKER_00]: I do still wonder if that's what we're going to do.
1:03:39
[SPEAKER_01]: I do think there's some, Chicanery, something to happen.
1:03:42
[SPEAKER_01]: We're maybe they do adjusted and add.
1:03:45
[SPEAKER_01]: Here I am saying, oh, this one's the FTR going to interrupt them.
1:03:48
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, Dynamites and Detroit,
1:03:51
[SPEAKER_01]: and the machine guns are now free agents.
1:03:53
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe they enter up.
1:03:55
[SPEAKER_01]: Now I don't, yeah, the machine guns added into this match, at least at this point, because they're just getting here.
1:04:01
[SPEAKER_01]: I would like to see coping Christian versus the bucks to want to, but I do also want to see some crazy tag team TLCs and all that stuff.
1:04:09
[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know where we go at this, but interesting.
1:04:11
[SPEAKER_00]: But I mean, could you just do, we've never had
1:04:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, have we had FTO of a machine, we had a weird machine guns like one week run in AEW.
1:04:22
[SPEAKER_00]: You didn't have, have we had FTO machine guns at all before?
1:04:26
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, I feel like we're they like, that's something you could do on the show.
1:04:30
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's a thing, or something weird, isn't it?
1:04:32
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a Jeff Jarrett or satin I'm saying I could be crazy.
1:04:35
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't see, I see him hitting cutters now.
1:04:37
[SPEAKER_01]: Our chaos out of nowhere, watch out.
1:04:40
[SPEAKER_01]: and you may guys come back.
1:04:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, Jay Leetel and Motor City Machine, you know, first is beautiful.
1:04:45
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Jeff Jarrod's like thing, right for some reason?
1:04:49
[SPEAKER_01]: Weird, very weird.
1:04:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:04:51
[SPEAKER_01]: I want the machine guns in AWS.
1:04:52
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it would be a great addition.
1:04:54
[SPEAKER_01]: I just, I do want to see bucks and copycage.
1:04:57
[SPEAKER_01]: I also do want to see like some crazy CLC multi-man.
1:05:00
[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know where we go with this, but they got my intention with this graphic.
1:05:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Now we go to the next match, we did our preview show really leaning in on how we did not care about the pain maker or what even is the pain maker and then Chris Jericho the pain maker comes out in Montreal.
1:05:29
[SPEAKER_01]: And the bell sign was there for it.
1:05:30
[SPEAKER_01]: They were there.
1:05:31
[SPEAKER_01]: They were there.
1:05:32
[SPEAKER_01]: Secret Jericho.
1:05:33
[SPEAKER_01]: So the the rins recycle repeat of oh, he's old.
1:05:38
[SPEAKER_01]: He's washed trying to reinvent himself.
1:05:42
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, we're stuck in the Jericho vortex.
1:05:44
[SPEAKER_01]: And then we go to a paper recycle matches pretty good.
1:05:49
[SPEAKER_01]: And then we start all over again the next feud or angle.
1:05:52
[SPEAKER_01]: Ah, he's lost, he's old.
1:05:54
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, this had maybe some of the biggest reactions of the entire show.
1:05:58
[SPEAKER_01]: And Canada is still in fact Jericho Country, no matter what you say, because...
1:06:06
[SPEAKER_01]: the crowd ate this shit up literally.
1:06:09
[SPEAKER_01]: I actually really enjoyed this match to be honest with you.
1:06:12
[SPEAKER_01]: So there you go.
1:06:13
[SPEAKER_01]: He even got me back.
1:06:15
[SPEAKER_01]: So once again Jericho defending here for now, I guess.
1:06:20
[SPEAKER_00]: We talk about like, you know, Mick Bowley has always been known for the cheekpots, right?
1:06:26
[SPEAKER_00]: He's proud about it.
1:06:27
[SPEAKER_00]: His cheekpots.
1:06:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Mm-hmm.
1:06:29
[SPEAKER_00]: But Jericho knows how to cheat pop the crowd and how to like how to get those reactions and we seem always do this like I still stick by the Our opinion of the the pain make a gimmick like I find it
1:06:45
[SPEAKER_00]: I find it ridiculous.
1:06:47
[SPEAKER_00]: I question if he, I question if he knows it's ridiculous and is like leaning into it and it's this weird like meta double irony thing he's doing, but then someone
1:07:07
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so I really question it, but you can't say this match didn't work and I really enjoyed their defeat break match a couple of weeks ago And I thought I thought this was much needed on this show at this point to wake up this crowd and think champ has been fantastic and Yeah, this was a fun time
1:07:26
[SPEAKER_01]: I think this is one of my matches in the night, like it wasn't, I wouldn't say it was ag, because, you know, technical wrestling is maybe the main event and the Fletcher Bendido match, but it's got to be up there as my number two or three on this show, I'd say, because Jericho, you got me again.
1:07:42
[SPEAKER_01]: He's probably up there as one of my old time favorites, and every year is it time goes on in AWS.
1:07:47
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a time, it's a time to stop.
1:07:51
[SPEAKER_01]: And then he puts on some good shows and people are there for it like Jericho is a draw for especially up here in the Great White North.
1:07:57
[SPEAKER_01]: So clearly hockey stick is his cheap pop.
1:08:00
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it's a show in Canada.
1:08:02
[SPEAKER_01]: Get the hockey sticks out in the in the no holds barred fight.
1:08:05
[SPEAKER_01]: But there was lots of like blood Jericho just straight up bleeding in the middle of the ring.
1:08:10
[SPEAKER_01]: It was a cool match live.
1:08:12
[SPEAKER_01]: I wonder how it came across on TV.
1:08:14
[SPEAKER_01]: I haven't looked up.
1:08:15
[SPEAKER_01]: I like if people like certain matches of this like certain things.
1:08:17
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just
1:08:19
[SPEAKER_01]: free flow here, given my two cents, but I thought the crowd really ate it up, but there was some crazy spots in it.
1:08:26
[SPEAKER_01]: The U.P.
1:08:28
[SPEAKER_01]: stuffed animal.
1:08:28
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so I went to mystery wrestling night before and they did a false count.
1:08:33
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyone match where people can pin anyone and there's like cameos and Aubrey and stuff and screw jobs and everything.
1:08:40
[SPEAKER_01]: But there was Joey Janella in that match who did
1:08:44
[SPEAKER_01]: an angle or a spot with this plushy hot dog that went viral after this mystery wrestling show on Saturday.
1:08:54
[SPEAKER_01]: And beat for beat.
1:08:56
[SPEAKER_01]: Champa and Chris Jericho did the spot here with the stuffed U-B in it with champa doing the pinfalls and stuff.
1:09:03
[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, oh, clearly someone
1:09:08
[SPEAKER_01]: was watching mystery wrestling.
1:09:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Literally, if you would have put it next to each other, very similar and one day apart.
1:09:15
[SPEAKER_01]: But although mystery wrestling also had a run-in from not U.P.
1:09:19
[SPEAKER_01]: but Merrill, Merrill, apparently there's two mascots here, so I don't know.
1:09:24
[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't get the run-in here, but both mascots kind of look like Sammy's aim to me.
1:09:29
[SPEAKER_01]: This was really fun, and I can't believe the painmakers over the theme song,
1:09:36
[SPEAKER_01]: You really lose your mind that the theme song of Jericho comes up.
1:09:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, what was it?
1:09:42
[SPEAKER_01]: Is it Slayer?
1:09:43
[SPEAKER_01]: I could be wrong.
1:09:44
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
1:09:45
[SPEAKER_01]: It was cool if it was just so ridiculous, but the fact that it worked and got over, you did it again, that's all I'm saying.
1:09:54
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, look, we were going into it wine to chill on it and it ended up being pretty fun.
1:09:59
[SPEAKER_00]: So what's next for both guides?
1:10:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Like you imagine Jericho will be on all in, and probably in, I'd say more than just a gauntlet match.
1:10:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Champray could see in the gauntlet, maybe, but what do you see directions for both these guys, but Jericho ultimately winning this feud?
1:10:17
[SPEAKER_01]: I think Jericho in the gauntlet is a great way to still, like I don't see him necessarily retiring this year or maybe even next year.
1:10:23
[SPEAKER_01]: So like keeping him on the show while also not like, you know, putting him in bigger things.
1:10:31
[SPEAKER_01]: I think a gauntlet would be perfect for him.
1:10:33
[SPEAKER_01]: You can continue little rivalries and start new ones.
1:10:36
[SPEAKER_01]: like we've seen in it.
1:10:39
[SPEAKER_01]: Or it's one of those like stamp heads, but we just got one of those at double or nothing.
1:10:43
[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know if he would be I think that's the dogs in the Bang Bang Dang as well.
1:10:48
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I feel I'd put Jericho in the casino for sure.
1:10:51
[SPEAKER_01]: And do you do the angle of Jericho be in like whoa, I have a shot at like I could get it.
1:10:55
[SPEAKER_01]: I could get back up in the ranks like I could you know he's not but like you could tease that.
1:11:01
[SPEAKER_00]: I do want to see
1:11:05
[SPEAKER_01]: have some killer matches some of the other like young and up and coming guys.
1:11:08
[SPEAKER_00]: So Champa, like, champ front draw day, national draw day.
1:11:13
[SPEAKER_01]: That would be very good.
1:11:14
[SPEAKER_01]: There's you could do eventually like speed ball.
1:11:17
[SPEAKER_01]: I know you've seen the fletchier stuff like there's there's there's still lots of options and we went to Jericho really quickly.
1:11:22
[SPEAKER_01]: But I think it ultimately ended up working for both of these guys.
1:11:25
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I know he lost a Jericho.
1:11:27
[SPEAKER_01]: But the pain makers on defeat it.
1:11:28
[SPEAKER_01]: So you couldn't
1:11:30
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's like the Undertaker's streak.
1:11:31
[SPEAKER_01]: You couldn't just have champ of beat.
1:11:33
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like Finn Balor's demon here, although he's undecided.
1:11:36
[SPEAKER_01]: Painmaker is not.
1:11:38
[SPEAKER_01]: Painmaker's forever.
1:11:40
[SPEAKER_01]: I like when he does the hiss.
1:11:42
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I don't really like it.
1:11:44
[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
1:11:46
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:11:47
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so it's July 27th.
1:11:49
[SPEAKER_01]: Halloween costume, huh?
1:11:52
[SPEAKER_01]: Painmaker?
1:11:56
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah, you haven't done a Jericho before.
1:11:58
[SPEAKER_01]: Have you?
1:11:58
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, do it.
1:11:59
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not done Jericho.
1:12:00
[SPEAKER_00]: I can be tampered.
1:12:01
[SPEAKER_01]: You could be Jericho.
1:12:02
[SPEAKER_00]: People would be like, hey, you're the penguins.
1:12:05
[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, you the luck.
1:12:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, to me though, I love your work.
1:12:12
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm the pain maker, Chris Jericho.
1:12:15
[SPEAKER_01]: Nice to bring it back, fuck it.
1:12:16
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it works.
1:12:17
[SPEAKER_01]: Now he's getting, oh, you know Jericho too.
1:12:19
[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, ah, they love it.
1:12:21
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, shit.
1:12:22
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to pain, he's on the phone with Tony this morning.
1:12:25
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I really think the pain makers would go for the strap.
1:12:27
[SPEAKER_01]: Change the main thing that don't winbly.
1:12:31
[SPEAKER_01]: As it stands, you know, like any As it stands, the pain maker should be put in the main event.
1:12:37
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyways, there you go.
1:12:38
[SPEAKER_01]: Like look, honest opinion, I always love Jericho and the last few years.
1:12:42
[SPEAKER_01]: There has been some hits and there has been some misses.
1:12:44
[SPEAKER_01]: I'd say this was a hit.
1:12:45
[SPEAKER_01]: Honestly, I got this pretty fun.
1:12:48
[SPEAKER_01]: So I was one of them was this match.
1:12:51
[SPEAKER_01]: So there you go.
1:12:53
[SPEAKER_01]: Jericho forever.
1:12:54
[SPEAKER_01]: We went from that match to our third from the last.
1:12:59
[SPEAKER_01]: A.W.
1:13:00
[SPEAKER_01]: National Championship Mark Davis defending against Andrade L. Edollo.
1:13:06
[SPEAKER_01]: He had a new entrance.
1:13:08
[SPEAKER_01]: He's turned a mispronunciation into money.
1:13:14
[SPEAKER_01]: literally because not only does he sell the shirts, he says the catchphrase.
1:13:18
[SPEAKER_01]: It's now part of his entrance.
1:13:20
[SPEAKER_01]: It just pops up on the screen how you know then he makes his entrance with some some ladies on his arm.
1:13:28
[SPEAKER_01]: I noticed the villain was at Tarazep.
1:13:31
[SPEAKER_01]: We've seen her a lot in the Ontario or Canadian.
1:13:34
[SPEAKER_01]: indie scene death match scene and then one of the one of the girls was a wrestler on the mystery wrestling show that mystery angels.
1:13:43
[SPEAKER_01]: They're doing like, okay, remember like the E.O.
1:13:45
[SPEAKER_01]: Kyrie Luchander ground thing, whereas like the three of them, mystery wrestling has like the mystery angels where they do like crazy six woman tags and stuff.
1:13:54
[SPEAKER_01]: So I noticed she was on the
1:13:59
[SPEAKER_00]: He's a really little tin man as well, it's real laden man.
1:14:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, not enough.
1:14:04
[SPEAKER_00]: No, I need these fake Latinos.
1:14:06
[SPEAKER_00]: He's a real one.
1:14:08
[SPEAKER_01]: What makes him real?
1:14:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Because he does the three of me go spot.
1:14:12
[SPEAKER_00]: And a frog splash spot, there was a lot of three of me goes on this ship.
1:14:18
[SPEAKER_01]: This match was pretty fun.
1:14:19
[SPEAKER_01]: And I tried getting the win, beating Dunk Zilla and going forward as the national championship.
1:14:27
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it was fun.
1:14:27
[SPEAKER_01]: I was maybe expecting a little something else.
1:14:30
[SPEAKER_01]: But still enjoyed it.
1:14:32
[SPEAKER_01]: It just maybe didn't get to that next level or gear for me, which we've definitely seen both of these guys do in the last few months.
1:14:39
[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, what about you?
1:14:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, this, uh, I, I enjoyed it.
1:14:44
[SPEAKER_00]: I, I've, I've been, I, I loved the way it started, uh, and I, I almost saw, reset that fun dry day was just going to, yeah, you didn't write a way, you know, like, that's it, hit, there's, uh, what's he call his rolling elbow?
1:14:57
[SPEAKER_00]: The,
1:14:58
[SPEAKER_00]: like how you level.
1:15:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but hit that right away and that move always looks so great.
1:15:04
[SPEAKER_00]: And I didn't mark Davis has been fantastic as well.
1:15:07
[SPEAKER_00]: But I feel very quickly this title has lost its identity.
1:15:13
[SPEAKER_00]: It is the the lowest championship there.
1:15:16
[SPEAKER_00]: And it's, you know, I'm dry day has aspirations for the world title.
1:15:21
[SPEAKER_00]: And we've
1:15:23
[SPEAKER_00]: It's more him taking this to like stick it to the Doncalis family, but you now run into this issue where I think he's going to be having this belt and challenging for other belts and
1:15:36
[SPEAKER_00]: I just I don't necessarily see under are they being the guy who's Defending this at Indies and you know, I I think this title should be defended on that red pro show at Wembley because that's that's what this title was meant to be for and I think it's already kind of lost that and I kind of build it
1:15:57
[SPEAKER_00]: almost weighs on driving down a bit, having this title because it's the, it's the speed title.
1:16:02
[SPEAKER_00]: It's the European championship.
1:16:04
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like the, the least title in the company, but it's been a good run.
1:16:09
[SPEAKER_00]: I think Mark Davis is the level you want it for.
1:16:12
[SPEAKER_00]: Mark Davis has broken out this last year and has had some killer matches in AEW.
1:16:18
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't see him being a guy that you're going to
1:16:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Elevate much higher beyond this.
1:16:23
[SPEAKER_00]: He's always going to, you know, put him into continental classic because he's going to have killer matches with people.
1:16:28
[SPEAKER_00]: And I felt this was sort of his thank you.
1:16:32
[SPEAKER_00]: His gold watch is flowers like getting this national title.
1:16:35
[SPEAKER_00]: I think I'm dry days above it, but I did enjoy the match.
1:16:38
[SPEAKER_01]: It was it was fine.
1:16:39
[SPEAKER_01]: I just didn't think it some of the other Andrade matches and marked Davis matches.
1:16:43
[SPEAKER_01]: We've seen.
1:16:43
[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know if something was necessarily off or whatever, but it was still fine and serviceable, but it does storyline wise.
1:16:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Andrade has been like, yo, MJ, I'm coming for you.
1:16:53
[SPEAKER_01]: I want the gold and then MJ if loses it and he's like, oh, fuck, I had beaten Kenny.
1:16:56
[SPEAKER_01]: So I guess I'll go after something else moves moves on.
1:17:00
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, well,
1:17:01
[SPEAKER_01]: what happened to all the people who were really like trying to go for the world title now they just say oh that's that's unattainable now let's just go for the 50 time with the next wendley man i i like this title i just feel like that is a gripe i have i think we met a real diehard a w fan at the bar yesterday before the show and he was like uh w sucks and all that stuff but then he's like but if i had to say one thing negative about a w
1:17:28
[SPEAKER_01]: It's all those titles and then we were like, oh yeah, go off King and he's like, what is this title?
1:17:32
[SPEAKER_01]: What is this title?
1:17:33
[SPEAKER_01]: What is this title?
1:17:34
[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't get it in my way.
1:17:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Coming from someone who's like, I watch all the shows.
1:17:37
[SPEAKER_01]: I travel this map, but it's the titles that really pissed me off.
1:17:40
[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, it's a fake show, it's all props and stuff, but you are right.
1:17:46
[SPEAKER_01]: He's still right.
1:17:47
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't even know what this title is.
1:17:49
[SPEAKER_01]: And if it's supposed to be the touring national title, then what's the international title?
1:17:57
[SPEAKER_01]: There's maybe a little too many on this show.
1:17:59
[SPEAKER_01]: There's just in general, we watch NXT lately.
1:18:02
[SPEAKER_01]: It's confusing to hell out of me with all these.
1:18:04
[SPEAKER_01]: Wait, now we're doing the triple A stuff as well, anyways.
1:18:06
[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I was fine.
1:18:08
[SPEAKER_01]: What's on dry days all in match?
1:18:11
[SPEAKER_01]: You said champ are earlier, could that be it?
1:18:13
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that's, you know, eight.
1:18:16
[SPEAKER_00]: It feels like if we're going to the MJF, if we're revisting that, this Titan feels below MJF, right?
1:18:23
[SPEAKER_00]: Like it's, of course.
1:18:25
[SPEAKER_00]: So, unless it's just MJF being, I wanna be a,
1:18:30
[SPEAKER_00]: What would it be?
1:18:31
[SPEAKER_00]: For a group full crown champion, whatever.
1:18:34
[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah.
1:18:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Like there's that possibility that I mean, you've got a lot of people missing.
1:18:40
[SPEAKER_00]: And it, it's, you know, I think people still banged up, you know, hand-man's word, M.J.
1:18:47
[SPEAKER_00]: They're big players who are not on the show.
1:18:50
[SPEAKER_00]: All off the show, but reports and things, it sounds like they're all a bit banged up, but they're hoping they'll all be ready for all in.
1:18:58
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, any combination of those four, but as I said it, it feels, it feels below them with it being this title and I almost hope the Don Carlos family strondrade or, you know, if he doesn't hope this title and just get it off him and have maybe it's MJF returning coughing and this title against someone else, and that can spark that for you guys on it.
1:19:22
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not sure, but you would think on dry day, he's had a meaningful singles match to last.
1:19:26
[SPEAKER_00]: You pay, so I don't see that changing for holding.
1:19:30
[SPEAKER_01]: And, yeah, like you mentioned, when the international started way back, it did seem like when it was like pack and orange cassey.
1:19:37
[SPEAKER_01]: Was it that title?
1:19:38
[SPEAKER_01]: When it was like, oh, we're gonna travel, right?
1:19:39
[SPEAKER_01]: It's gonna be like Indies and stuff like that.
1:19:41
[SPEAKER_01]: And then slowly went away and then they're trying to make maybe this one.
1:19:45
[SPEAKER_01]: You said it, like the rev pro show, the night before all in, you'd imagine maybe,
1:19:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Mark Davis who's been in Rev Pro in the history has history there, maybe defend it or something.
1:19:54
[SPEAKER_00]: So like I don't necessarily see Mark Davis getting a Wembley stadium singles map.
1:19:59
[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, like I think that that's the good draw for a Rev Pro Wembley arena.
1:20:05
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Mark Davis against whoever you want to put them up against in that company.
1:20:10
[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't necessarily see on Friday doing that.
1:20:14
[SPEAKER_01]: It would be cool, but yeah, he would definitely.
1:20:16
[SPEAKER_01]: I see Mark Davis being in this scondite.
1:20:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Everyone else, I don't know what to do with for all in.
1:20:20
[SPEAKER_01]: Put him in the car.
1:20:21
[SPEAKER_01]: Go on, no.
1:20:22
[SPEAKER_01]: God loot, which those matches are great.
1:20:25
[SPEAKER_01]: So like, you still have your spots and little feuds that happen in the match.
1:20:30
[SPEAKER_01]: Speaking of Rev Pro, we have, we have tickets to that show now in about a month's time.
1:20:36
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyone across the pond, we will be traveling over for all in and Rev Pro.
1:20:39
[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to be sitting with,
1:20:41
[SPEAKER_01]: Bush be in friends hanging out having some pints and watching some graphs.
1:20:44
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm very excited my first rev pro show and see some British Yeah, anyone out there making a trip.
1:20:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I get some tickets.
1:20:52
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
1:20:52
[SPEAKER_01]: We're not Wembley stadium Wembley arena Wembley arena.
1:20:56
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I've watched that before the arena arena over here.
1:21:01
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh nice.
1:21:02
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, yeah Like that's crazy and indie fed doing
1:21:08
[SPEAKER_00]: and arena like like this is the arena like WWE used to run but for all the other arena like they'd run Wendley they've started to announce a match is for it to an FTI knows on is announced but FTR versus the young guns and like Ethan Allen and Luke Jacobs like I think you'd like them a lot that they're a great team and I think that match up with FTR sound that should be a really good match and I know I think you've got Leon Slates is going to be on the show I believe Mike Locke who's going to be on the show
1:21:37
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they should be good sharp.
1:21:39
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so they go national championship on dryday is the new champion speaking of new champions we go to our next match willow night and go taking on tecla for her AEW women's championship
1:21:55
[SPEAKER_01]: This match went 17 minutes, 10 seconds.
1:21:57
[SPEAKER_01]: But Willow has done it smile anyway.
1:22:01
[SPEAKER_01]: She has beaten Tecla and become the AEW women's world champion.
1:22:07
[SPEAKER_01]: Really fun match.
1:22:08
[SPEAKER_01]: There were some cool stuff in this.
1:22:09
[SPEAKER_01]: I go, I'd mentioned this smile, anything smile.
1:22:13
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyways, things Tecla took that literally and did a moot-a-lock.
1:22:18
[SPEAKER_00]: where she started fishhooking girls now.
1:22:21
[SPEAKER_01]: It'd be like, yes, smile, bitch.
1:22:22
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:22:25
[SPEAKER_01]: The problem here is like, for how long is it will open here?
1:22:29
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, two, three years or maybe a little longer.
1:22:31
[SPEAKER_01]: She's been like a home grown AEW star.
1:22:34
[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I've watched her before and sent some people happy.
1:22:37
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, she's become a character if you watch AEW.
1:22:39
[SPEAKER_01]: Everyone seems pretty fond of her.
1:22:41
[SPEAKER_01]: We connect with her.
1:22:42
[SPEAKER_01]: The smile, go lucky, girl, who's powerhouse,
1:22:47
[SPEAKER_01]: So we're like, yeah, we want you to win and be championing all this stuff.
1:22:52
[SPEAKER_01]: But then Tecler comes out and she's listed the coolest.
1:22:55
[SPEAKER_01]: baddest chick that like I felt the crowd were more so on teclaside here in Montreal which is oh yeah the 40 the crowd kind of woke up for this match I thought like okay we had a we got to give this a world title match and I thought like they they they got into it but they were maybe rooting for tecla more than willow if that makes I thought like yeah I'd say 60 40 right tecla
1:23:21
[SPEAKER_00]: I liked it.
1:23:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so this match had issues just because of the injury, like I imagine Willow was supposed to be on the other and beyond the chase for this title and maybe you flip the title onto Mercedes on this show and then have Mercedes be Willow with Willow on the chase.
1:23:42
[SPEAKER_00]: It feels weird dynamic going into Wembley with Willow as the as the champ with Mercedes,
1:23:52
[SPEAKER_00]: challenging her like chasing her and and Willow who's been, you know, like almost day one with this company, you know, doing a UW dark, all those dark matches during the pandemic and stuff and getting popularity there, like I remember seeing how being the one being like, oh, this this goal willow on dark is great and then her starting to get a bit of shine on dynamite and and just naturally becoming such a.
1:24:22
[SPEAKER_00]: such a beloved character.
1:24:25
[SPEAKER_00]: This, like, willow winning the world title.
1:24:29
[SPEAKER_00]: I think should be the same in a way as will winning the title in London, like it should feel like this this big moment and maybe even save it for the main event of a show instead you've got
1:24:47
[SPEAKER_00]: who like Techler because she's cool and I don't think they've done enough in this this feud to stack the odds against Willow and then it just felt like a little anti-climactic like Willow's first big title win is just.
1:25:04
[SPEAKER_00]: in the semi-main in Montreal, like, but all the big, big show.
1:25:08
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think it gives me the indication that we're not gonna go to a triple threat, because I think, I think, if you were doing the triple threat match, you'd have technical win here due to nefarious means and therefore,
1:25:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Willow is now on the chase, she's got screwed and you build up that one and now it's Willow taking on two with heels in Wendley and you've got the the like pure heel in the say it is you've got the the cool like tweena heel in Tecla and then you've got the true baby face in Willow and I think it would just be such a bigger moment.
1:25:41
[SPEAKER_00]: So I think the fact that they did the title change here.
1:25:45
[SPEAKER_00]: means we are just getting one-on-one and we'll have something else in store for a tech-ler at all in.
1:25:52
[SPEAKER_00]: But it's, yeah, like I didn't dislike this match at all, I think both of fantastic, they're both right at the top of this division, just the moment fell swandered, I think, and, uh, and...
1:26:05
[SPEAKER_00]: You only, you only have your first once, you know, like it, it's, it built like this should all be a big moment, and it's going to be interesting how you build this match effectively with Mercedes for all it.
1:26:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I look love willow, I love Tacla as well.
1:26:21
[SPEAKER_01]: Like this run, it made me think, you know, what she deserves a Wembley title match in there, because she's just been on this great run with this thing.
1:26:30
[SPEAKER_01]: I think she's becoming great character clearly, because the crowd are really into her last
1:26:35
[SPEAKER_01]: It's weird having Mercedes the eel who's never won this title yet.
1:26:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Now chasing.
1:26:42
[SPEAKER_01]: biggest baby phase of willow, we just want it and it feels, it feels a little muddy.
1:26:46
[SPEAKER_01]: It feels a little backwards, but we still have some weeks till the show and TV that maybe they can set the course in the right direction.
1:26:54
[SPEAKER_01]: Like willow versus Mercedes, the graphic popped up, it's going to be an awesome match.
1:26:59
[SPEAKER_01]: We've seen it, right?
1:27:00
[SPEAKER_01]: We know it's going to be great.
1:27:01
[SPEAKER_01]: So I am looking forward to that.
1:27:03
[SPEAKER_01]: We had sky blue interrupt and try to cost
1:27:07
[SPEAKER_01]: well though, but then she ended up using that against her advantage and winning.
1:27:11
[SPEAKER_01]: We didn't get Kyrie, but all the wrestling sites reporting that Kyrie changed her bio.
1:27:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I'm not talking like St. when Sammy Gavara did it a few weeks ago.
1:27:22
[SPEAKER_01]: Kyrie's ains now under Barry Bloom as her
1:27:30
[SPEAKER_01]: works with Kenny Omega, Chris Jack, young, and most of the AWS talent.
1:27:37
[SPEAKER_01]: So, hmm, David, you might be getting the match, you've been asking for.
1:27:42
[SPEAKER_01]: She just didn't show up last night to set it up.
1:27:46
[SPEAKER_00]: I think it, I think that match makes sense.
1:27:48
[SPEAKER_00]: Like it, it's the only thing I can think of
1:27:54
[SPEAKER_00]: broken record, throw it in a gauntlet.
1:27:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Like there's no one else on the roster, I don't think big enough unless you get a returning Tony Storm out of nowhere, which I don't see happening.
1:28:06
[SPEAKER_00]: So I do see, now, could you do a, could you do it as like a tech broken challenge?
1:28:13
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, where she's ragging on stardom, some more, and she's calling out people, and you can, it's the,
1:28:19
[SPEAKER_00]: Wink, Wink, Nudge, Nudge, you're probably getting to hiring and save it for a cool moment then.
1:28:25
[SPEAKER_00]: I was actually surprised on this show that we didn't get any surprises because I thought I felt like, you know, I think we are going to get some debuts in the next couple of weeks and machine guns into Troy, it makes a lot of sense like you're not going to do that Montreal and Detroit's on Wednesday.
1:28:42
[SPEAKER_00]: But I felt this show needed something other than just matches and I think, you know,
1:28:49
[SPEAKER_00]: uh, uh, maybe Kyrie being one of them would have, would have boosted this show a little bit.
1:28:56
[SPEAKER_01]: I was saying to you, when Andre was celebrating with the national title, I was like, all right, lights off, lights on, Alister Black, Zalina Vague.
1:29:12
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if I see that happening, but never say never in wrestling yet no surprises.
1:29:17
[SPEAKER_01]: The only one thing we had like the angle I guess to close out the show, but what was the segment with Mick Foley?
1:29:24
[SPEAKER_01]: Am I crazy or was just not enough coffee in the Serena?
1:29:28
[SPEAKER_01]: He was doing his first try to impress him.
1:29:29
[SPEAKER_01]: Was he dark?
1:29:30
[SPEAKER_00]: Was he barking like a dog to make and bang?
1:29:32
[SPEAKER_00]: No.
1:29:34
[SPEAKER_00]: So the divine dominion you know they have their like thing like bow down bow down So they tell them to get on his knees and then bow down And he went like bow wow like a dog and then just started making Dog noises
1:29:52
[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't like it.
1:29:54
[SPEAKER_01]: No, that was weird.
1:29:56
[SPEAKER_00]: What I did like, what I didn't enjoy the most is the awkwardness of it is he does it.
1:30:01
[SPEAKER_00]: And then he stops and the camera's just lingering on here and he's like, well, I mean, I guess back to you guys and it just lingers on him, what was that?
1:30:22
[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like the divine dominion asked me to bow out like a dog.
1:30:26
[SPEAKER_00]: No questions.
1:30:27
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm probably be about it.
1:30:33
[SPEAKER_01]: So I guess we can't blame it.
1:30:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Good old.
1:30:36
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:30:37
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:30:37
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's still.
1:30:38
[SPEAKER_01]: Everyone in the arena was like, what the fuck was that?
1:30:43
[SPEAKER_01]: No.
1:30:43
[SPEAKER_01]: We thought you came back to wrestle on match.
1:30:48
[SPEAKER_01]: Don't know what this is, but
1:30:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyways, we went from that to our main events.
1:30:54
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, okay, well, it's quickly like I liked the match with Willow and Takla, I like both these characters, two of my favorite in AEW for sure.
1:31:02
[SPEAKER_01]: I liked the match, I didn't think it got to maybe certain levels that we've seen from both of these women in the past, but again, one of the, it's not a better match, it's on the show, I think.
1:31:11
[SPEAKER_00]: It's also like
1:31:20
[SPEAKER_00]: uh, nasty enough in this build.
1:31:23
[SPEAKER_00]: So it's the the like tiny heel against the big powerhouse baby fat just dynamically again a little odd and I think that's that's the struggle with Mercedes like I film Mercedes has put on a bit of muscle compared to how she used to be but she's she's still relatively small and she's the one chasing for her first world title.
1:31:49
[SPEAKER_00]: uh, lost twice to Willow, like Willow's got the advanced jumper.
1:31:52
[SPEAKER_00]: It, it, it fills backwards for sure.
1:31:55
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, last time we went to a show, I was joking about, like, because Tecla calls everyone dumb bitches, right?
1:32:02
[SPEAKER_01]: So when we were at the last paper view, we were at double or nothing, I guess.
1:32:07
[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't know if it was me or someone else, probably wasn't me.
1:32:11
[SPEAKER_01]: But someone was like, dumb bitches, and then the crowds started chanting dumb bitches, right?
1:32:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Right?
1:32:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:32:18
[SPEAKER_01]: I had involved in the dumb bitch or dumb bitches, right?
1:32:22
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:32:22
[SPEAKER_01]: But think about it.
1:32:25
[SPEAKER_01]: don't watch the show and are just invited by their make friends and they got free tickets and we saw it and we joked about it on our show after double and nothing about like certain people were like yo why aren't people just calling these women dumb bitches similar thing happened where there was a group of guys sitting near us and this match came out and he was like one of the guys like
1:32:52
[SPEAKER_01]: that doesn't.
1:32:53
[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, hey, well, yeah, these friends were like, yo, dude, what stuff?
1:32:57
[SPEAKER_01]: And he's like, oh, he's a man.
1:32:59
[SPEAKER_01]: He was trying to be like, no, no, it's her crazy.
1:33:02
[SPEAKER_01]: You don't understand.
1:33:03
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not just being an asshole.
1:33:05
[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, yeah, I've been there, buddy.
1:33:07
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just so calm.
1:33:08
[SPEAKER_01]: Don't.
1:33:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't bless as well.
1:33:11
[SPEAKER_00]: The little goal started a set him on fire, John.
1:33:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Whoa, yeah, it was a Jericho match.
1:33:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you.
1:33:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Jericho.
1:33:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah Jericho man.
1:33:19
[SPEAKER_00]: You're not started.
1:33:20
[SPEAKER_01]: Like we just said him on fire.
1:33:22
[SPEAKER_01]: This little girl was like said him on fire.
1:33:25
[SPEAKER_00]: So me and you right away.
1:33:26
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, girls.
1:33:27
[SPEAKER_00]: Let me all start Jane.
1:33:28
[SPEAKER_00]: All the reasserts and it's so funny.
1:33:31
[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, don't yell dumb bitches at people without context.
1:33:35
[SPEAKER_01]: We learned today.
1:33:36
[SPEAKER_01]: So that we go from that main event to our real main event here, the AWS Men's World Championship, the champion Kenny Omega in Canada, defending against the jet Kevin Knight.
1:33:48
[SPEAKER_01]: What did you think of our main event?
1:33:54
[SPEAKER_00]: It was a very good wrestling match.
1:33:57
[SPEAKER_00]: I was kind of checked out by this point, if I'm being honest, I like Kevin Knight.
1:34:07
[SPEAKER_00]: Like I think it was a new theme right new new like video and and from theme.
1:34:13
[SPEAKER_00]: I think he came out to It was just a beat though.
1:34:16
[SPEAKER_00]: It was just like an instrument though.
1:34:17
[SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't the most I didn't I didn't love it, but I like the presentation.
1:34:21
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah
1:34:24
[SPEAKER_00]: I, I, I liked it being a change, but it just felt so quiet when he came out.
1:34:31
[SPEAKER_00]: It was zero reaction and this is your main event.
1:34:36
[SPEAKER_01]: What time was this, okay, when it was double or nothing in the last last three paper views, we look at our clock on the bell rings with a main event and it's been like 12 30.
1:34:43
[SPEAKER_01]: sometimes.
1:34:44
[SPEAKER_01]: And at least this was like a little bit earlier, but it was, it was like what a post quo they started.
1:34:50
[SPEAKER_01]: I saw people wait to take pictures and videos of Kenny's entrance and then left.
1:34:56
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a whole family with like kids and everything.
1:34:58
[SPEAKER_01]: The dad was like, hold up, hold up, hold up.
1:35:00
[SPEAKER_01]: Kenny comes out, poses with the fireworks.
1:35:02
[SPEAKER_01]: He's taking a video.
1:35:03
[SPEAKER_01]: His wife and kids are like, he's like, all right, let's go.
1:35:08
[SPEAKER_01]: And then they
1:35:11
[SPEAKER_01]: They just straight up like there was a few of that.
1:35:14
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like A.
1:35:16
[SPEAKER_01]: It's late.
1:35:17
[SPEAKER_01]: B trains transit.
1:35:18
[SPEAKER_01]: All that stuff can be a bitch to get home and see it felt like no one knew who Kevin night was.
1:35:27
[SPEAKER_01]: in this arena.
1:35:28
[SPEAKER_01]: Bless him.
1:35:29
[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's great.
1:35:30
[SPEAKER_01]: We've talked about him.
1:35:31
[SPEAKER_01]: Everyone who watches the show, week to week of A. W. No, this guy is great.
1:35:35
[SPEAKER_01]: They've been putting a lot of stock behind him.
1:35:38
[SPEAKER_01]: This is a such a tough position to put him in.
1:35:42
[SPEAKER_01]: You already announced Will Osprey and Kenny for all in not a single person in the bell center thought it was going to go any different than the way it was and that was the struggle I think I you said you were checked out so many people were even when there was cool stuff in the match it's like yeah I guess so.
1:36:01
[SPEAKER_00]: very tough spot for Kevin night.
1:36:03
[SPEAKER_00]: He'll get there.
1:36:05
[SPEAKER_00]: I think this is the wrong timing to try and yeah, I really thought this meant it.
1:36:10
[SPEAKER_01]: I love this guy.
1:36:11
[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't think this was the right move at all.
1:36:13
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I said weeks leading in like what's one person that you could be like okay, what if what if they went with Ocada?
1:36:21
[SPEAKER_01]: What if he beats Kenny?
1:36:22
[SPEAKER_01]: Not saying that that had to be the move.
1:36:24
[SPEAKER_01]: It just like
1:36:26
[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of people just seemed, it was so quiet.
1:36:28
[SPEAKER_01]: I have not watched it back.
1:36:29
[SPEAKER_01]: It just like one of the most quietest main event entrances.
1:36:35
[SPEAKER_00]: I've seen it firsthand.
1:36:36
[SPEAKER_00]: People are tired and at least when you get, like, entrances are so important, I think.
1:36:42
[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, it's your flagging.
1:36:46
[SPEAKER_00]: It's towards the end of the night, but then battle cry hits and you're like, okay, let's start, yeah.
1:36:50
[SPEAKER_00]: And then, you know, and then like, think Wembley, Wembley's gonna be a show
1:36:56
[SPEAKER_00]: elevate elevated and battle cry and you're gonna feel pumped, right?
1:37:00
[SPEAKER_00]: But it's just
1:37:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Kevin Night walks out.
1:37:04
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought presentation looked good, but just he's not there yet, and he's not recognized as a top star and especially at this at this stage, so close to all in, it was an uphill battle of this whole match.
1:37:19
[SPEAKER_00]: I think it was the wrong match to book.
1:37:21
[SPEAKER_00]: I think if you've just put this on a dynamite, I think people would be raving about it because it would be a hell of a match.
1:37:27
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think it would
1:37:28
[SPEAKER_00]: it would do much better service for Kevin Knight to have it as a main event of a dynamite.
1:37:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Like put it on grand slam or whatever.
1:37:36
[SPEAKER_00]: I know that's so close to wall in at that point, but the yay, the match was so much, it's 10-year mega, like it's 10-night, two great wrestlers, like I'd like to see it under different circumstances, but I really couldn't get into it, unfortunately.
1:37:52
[SPEAKER_01]: It was a fine match.
1:37:53
[SPEAKER_01]: It reminded me of Daniel's inverses Jack Perry like a few years ago when Daniel's thing was champion.
1:37:58
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, go, great rest of the time.
1:38:01
[SPEAKER_00]: I would pledge around him at him page.
1:38:02
[SPEAKER_00]: Like they've done a few times with the team champion challenging and it's, I understand why, but like it, I don't think it works.
1:38:10
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think it works.
1:38:11
[SPEAKER_01]: And I think this was another, another misstep here.
1:38:15
[SPEAKER_01]: Just, again, Kenny and Meg is my favorite.
1:38:17
[SPEAKER_01]: He got a great reaction as he always does lately, not just in Canada, but like, I do think people are coming around of like, hey, this guy has one of the biggest stars we got, a big reason why people watch this show, clearly with that title in and ratings and all that, which I don't necessarily have a cap.
1:38:33
[SPEAKER_01]: But when I go to these shows, it is usually people reacting very loudly to Kenny.
1:38:38
[SPEAKER_01]: the Kenny signs and the shirts and stuff, which I'll take a pause at.
1:38:43
[SPEAKER_01]: We've been praising AW sort of stepping up their merch, right?
1:38:48
[SPEAKER_01]: Sort of, can you make a one the title a few weeks ago and they release he's got a new shirt with his cat on it and it's like, can you make a logo with his cat?
1:38:57
[SPEAKER_01]: And I went, that is hilarious.
1:38:59
[SPEAKER_01]: If they put that on for sale, hmm, maybe I'll go grab one.
1:39:03
[SPEAKER_01]: Did I grab one last night?
1:39:05
[SPEAKER_01]: No, you know what?
1:39:07
[SPEAKER_01]: You know what?
1:39:08
[SPEAKER_01]: Cause they didn't fucking sell it.
1:39:10
[SPEAKER_01]: You know what they did sell though.
1:39:12
[SPEAKER_01]: A pain maker shirt.
1:39:14
[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm actually sure that I've never seen with just his face right on it.
1:39:17
[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, what a lot of, a lot of,
1:39:22
[SPEAKER_01]: uh mjf shots was ball who wasn't on the show wasn't even on the show yet uh yet uh uh uh Montreal Habs Canadians like jersey rip off like a knockoff thing they do this with the different jerseys of the cities they go hmm that would look pretty cool look great i saw some people buying it and wearing it like cool but you don't have shirts for half the people on this show and you're selling shirts for people who aren't on this show who were advertised for this show
1:39:49
[SPEAKER_01]: but they weren't there.
1:39:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Another misstep of AWS merch again, and where I'm like, ah, I would have given you money.
1:39:57
[SPEAKER_00]: And I didn't.
1:39:59
[SPEAKER_00]: So that's another thing I had to bring up.
1:40:01
[SPEAKER_01]: But can you just like, one of the biggest,
1:40:04
[SPEAKER_01]: stars right now for this show and I think maybe fans are like, yeah, it's not going to be able to do this.
1:40:09
[SPEAKER_01]: The story is one more time, you know, that's when he was one more time.
1:40:12
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to continue fighting until I can't.
1:40:14
[SPEAKER_01]: So people are jumping on board because, fuck, a year from now, who knows, we might not be able to watch this guy.
1:40:19
[SPEAKER_01]: So he's been getting great reaction.
1:40:22
[SPEAKER_01]: but then here he is facing someone that you just know he's not losing to at all.
1:40:27
[SPEAKER_01]: Not even a 0.2% chance.
1:40:30
[SPEAKER_01]: Not even a 0.001% chance was Kevin night gonna beat him here.
1:40:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Everyone was sitting on their hands.
1:40:36
[SPEAKER_01]: There was some reactions and stuff, but I really couldn't get into it and you said if it's not.
1:40:42
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure we would have been like, oh great dynamite main event, but for a paper view main event, one of my least favorite ones I've seen, especially in person.
1:40:53
[SPEAKER_01]: I think front-to-back this paper view was it had some good stuff, but I kind of regret to say, I was bored.
1:41:03
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought this was a dynamite collision and this main event Kevin night will get there.
1:41:08
[SPEAKER_01]: I think he will be a world champion eventually one day, but this as someone who watches the show, we can week out my life is talking about wrestling.
1:41:18
[SPEAKER_01]: I can't say I like this show a whole lot.
1:41:22
[SPEAKER_01]: little disappointed.
1:41:24
[SPEAKER_00]: I think there were challenges in the way with with injuries and and just and yeah trying to maybe realizing that the Wembley ticket sales like if if Wembley was sat at like 40,000 a month ago with this pope you look different.
1:41:40
[SPEAKER_00]: would it be less concerned about trying to sell all in and just getting those graphics out there?
1:41:47
[SPEAKER_00]: They should be selling all in though.
1:41:49
[SPEAKER_00]: They should be pushing for the big.
1:41:51
[SPEAKER_01]: They should be pushing for the big.
1:41:52
[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
1:41:52
[SPEAKER_01]: But then why does this show you to lose me?
1:41:55
[SPEAKER_00]: And I mean, I think it's the my W deal, right?
1:41:59
[SPEAKER_00]: Like the new thing.
1:42:01
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
1:42:02
[SPEAKER_01]: But I haven't, like, yeah, sorry, go for it.
1:42:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, I was just, yeah, finished the thought.
1:42:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Tony can't like roll the dice and I think I think he made the wrong decisions on just the booking of this show and I appreciate like kind of hands retired with a few things, but I think he took a gamble, he saw this as an opportunity to hopefully have Kevin Nightbreak through as a top star.
1:42:27
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it was the right gamble to make on this show.
1:42:30
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think there are and we'll get into the post-angle, which will kind of inform more of my thoughts.
1:42:35
[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, good wrestling but I agree.
1:42:38
[SPEAKER_00]: I was kind of checked out of this show.
1:42:41
[SPEAKER_01]: We've traveled quite a lot since the inception of AWS over the years to go to bunch of dynamites, collisions, rampages that we want mentioned, and neighborhoods.
1:42:54
[SPEAKER_01]: I've had fun at every single one, including this one, the audiences, great, the fans are great.
1:42:59
[SPEAKER_01]: Everything is awesome.
1:43:00
[SPEAKER_01]: I just felt like this one felt like a paper view that wasn't a paper view if that makes it.
1:43:06
[SPEAKER_01]: I felt like I was at another one of the dynamites and there was crowd reactions and then there wasn't and there was silence and we went to double and nothing which was sold out like nowhere you could fit in there.
1:43:18
[SPEAKER_01]: And here,
1:43:19
[SPEAKER_01]: Bell Center is a big arena and there's like 7,000 or something.
1:43:22
[SPEAKER_01]: Now, AWS fans, 7,000 can sound like 15,000 because they were loud, but again, I know how it came across on TV.
1:43:29
[SPEAKER_01]: Clearly, some of these matches and entrances were dead quiet, because I was there and then built that way.
1:43:35
[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, um, not one of my favorites, Joseph, in the afternoon.
1:43:41
[SPEAKER_01]: The after so many go here.
1:43:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, let's get into that.
1:43:48
[SPEAKER_01]: earlier when Moxley got pin by Nick Jackson later in the show, Moxley's like, I'm gonna write this wrong.
1:43:53
[SPEAKER_01]: I need to fix something.
1:43:54
[SPEAKER_01]: So after the main event, the death writers hit the ring, they are looking to attack Kenny Omega.
1:44:01
[SPEAKER_01]: They beat them down.
1:44:02
[SPEAKER_01]: Moxley comes out with a chair.
1:44:03
[SPEAKER_01]: We got packed Claudia all the whole game.
1:44:06
[SPEAKER_01]: And they are about to pulmonize Kenny.
1:44:09
[SPEAKER_01]: They wrap the chair around him.
1:44:11
[SPEAKER_01]: The young bucks come out for the save, but they get sent into some tables, ringside, and then will Osprey comes out for the save.
1:44:19
[SPEAKER_01]: He stops them from stomping on Kenny's neck.
1:44:23
[SPEAKER_01]: There's a moment where he teases like, he might be the one to stomped on the chair in the neck.
1:44:29
[SPEAKER_01]: But instead, he throws the chair away, scares off all the deathwriters, and then finally,
1:44:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Mosley gets in the ring and says, come on, man, you gotta do the right thing and pulls out the plastic bag as the crowd chance this is murder.
1:44:44
[SPEAKER_01]: And he hands will the bag and will cannot do it.
1:44:48
[SPEAKER_01]: He rips the bag up, beats up John Mosley, sends him out and saves Kenny from the death riders.
1:44:56
[SPEAKER_01]: Only for Kenny to be like, hey, thanks mate.
1:45:00
[SPEAKER_01]: and then hit him with the one-winged angel as the fucks and Kenny stand tall over a well-asspray who clearly was like, ah, I shouldn't have just did the wrong thing.
1:45:12
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, as the, uh, like, that they did the moment where, like, Kenny's, like, awkwardly told in the belt, right?
1:45:20
[SPEAKER_00]: So, so Kenny gets back up.
1:45:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Kenny sees the plastic bag on the mat and it's like, what the fuck?
1:45:27
[SPEAKER_00]: And then it's like, no, no, hands and tight with that.
1:45:30
[SPEAKER_00]: little mini like talk of war thing and then it was almost we're there in persons and we don't see the graphic but it it felt like the the corner graphic came up right end of the show and then this forming danger because we we were like halfway up the stairs.
1:45:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah I started leaving yeah but as the the golden front of us says it's like yeah
1:45:55
[SPEAKER_00]: If, like, it should be an automatic, no, I am not using a plastic bag.
1:45:59
[SPEAKER_00]: The fact that we even considered it is the not to get hit with the one I'm in danger.
1:46:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
1:46:04
[SPEAKER_00]: The fact that we even considered murdering this guy, you consider your friend, you deserve a one-winged angel.
1:46:12
[SPEAKER_00]: What did you read that one-winged angel ads did you see it as a, you all turn or what did you take that ads?
1:46:20
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if it's a heel turn.
1:46:23
[SPEAKER_01]: This morning, I was having my coffee getting ready to set up to start recording just a little bit of go.
1:46:27
[SPEAKER_01]: I saw on social media, people were quick to realize it was beat for beat.
1:46:33
[SPEAKER_01]: The same set up and selling and movement of the Kenny turning on AJ bullet club.
1:46:40
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, Pan.
1:46:41
[SPEAKER_01]: Like literally, if you watch it back to back, it's the even the way Kenny does the win the game.
1:46:45
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Oscar is the AJ Mark.
1:46:48
[SPEAKER_01]: So he did like beat for beat what AJ did and sold it, which was pretty cool.
1:46:53
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if it's necessarily Kenny being like, yeah, what the fuck?
1:46:56
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I don't think he's a heal.
1:46:59
[SPEAKER_01]: I just think he's like, no, I'm the champion and you're the challenger and you almost just thought about killing me with a bag.
1:47:05
[SPEAKER_01]: So the
1:47:07
[SPEAKER_01]: This is a little muddy.
1:47:08
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's eventually going to pay off.
1:47:10
[SPEAKER_01]: It's leading to Willow's Grand Canyon, so I can't really complain.
1:47:13
[SPEAKER_01]: That is the match above any other match I want to see again.
1:47:16
[SPEAKER_01]: So you got me already.
1:47:18
[SPEAKER_01]: The problem was when he shoved Moxley, it felt like, oh shit, they're finally breaking up the Death Riders.
1:47:25
[SPEAKER_01]: Can't wait for the WrestleMania match of Will versus Mox.
1:47:28
[SPEAKER_01]: But wait, we're not going to that match.
1:47:30
[SPEAKER_01]: So just feels we're busy with all this film over here, and we, but the real story is here.
1:47:35
[SPEAKER_01]: So maybe this was to reset it.
1:47:37
[SPEAKER_01]: But in storyline, why is Mox would be mad and want to interject and continue this view?
1:47:41
[SPEAKER_01]: So it's, yeah, not sure.
1:47:43
[SPEAKER_00]: I could see with the, I could see with the
1:47:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Mox is right like I want like if we're doing this Wembley Stadium for my title, I don't need you to pull the trigger because I need to know that I'm beating the very best and I think you're going to have this you know we've been friends we've been paled the last few weeks but this is the biggest match in my career this is main event in the stadium as champion
1:48:13
[SPEAKER_00]: and you're a threat and I'm not going to go like the on you and I don't expect you to go like you on me.
1:48:18
[SPEAKER_00]: I can see it being like that, like, still baby face, that wasn't a heel turn, but it's an edge.
1:48:26
[SPEAKER_00]: I think you'd have, I think you'd have sold a lot of things with this paper to you if you did this angle a few weeks ago and we had some different matches on this show because
1:48:39
[SPEAKER_00]: I think doing it so close to all in, we all saw a breakup happening with will under death writers and like I was assuming would be post-all in whether it's a evolution thumbs up thumbs down and it's mock, Osprey or all out as his first event or whatever, but you will be here.
1:48:58
[SPEAKER_00]: Here, it's almost the same as the willow thing.
1:49:00
[SPEAKER_00]: It's pulling the trigger at the wrong moment.
1:49:01
[SPEAKER_00]: I think you should have had this a few weeks ago and had most of Osprey versus
1:49:08
[SPEAKER_00]: at this paper view.
1:49:09
[SPEAKER_00]: And off's phrase story is he's got to be all the people he lost against on the way, you know, he had the the the rematch with Davis in the other than like bench that loss.
1:49:20
[SPEAKER_00]: And like I think of
1:49:24
[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, what was it?
1:49:24
[SPEAKER_00]: No way out.
1:49:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Is it no way out?
1:49:27
[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, 2001, like we pretty much know we're getting rock and Austin at WrestleMania, but Austin has to have to finish his feud with Triple H before he can get there and you have the three stages of pal.
1:49:39
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think some sort of bloody blow-off between off-brain mocks on this show.
1:49:44
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought it was
1:49:45
[SPEAKER_00]: would have drawn a lot better.
1:49:47
[SPEAKER_00]: And then you have Osprey like ending that chapter.
1:49:51
[SPEAKER_00]: And now we can go forward cleanly Osprey versus 10.
1:49:55
[SPEAKER_00]: And whereas doing this angle with Mox, you have to kind of tell that story.
1:50:00
[SPEAKER_00]: And you're going to be a triple threat map.
1:50:02
[SPEAKER_00]: So why is Mox the involved?
1:50:08
[SPEAKER_00]: At this point, like the story should have been blown off last night at the paper view, so we can move on.
1:50:14
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think it's made things muddier, like going moving forward.
1:50:18
[SPEAKER_01]: That's how I feel like it makes me go, oh, we're going to get the Osprey Marks match.
1:50:22
[SPEAKER_01]: But that's not the match that we're going to.
1:50:24
[SPEAKER_01]: So with a month left to all in is Marks even got a match because his whole story has been with Will.
1:50:31
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, it's so, it's so, it's so, so shoo-hoon, whatever of the match, like, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act, act
1:50:54
[SPEAKER_01]: Mox and him beef and then they viewed and they fought here at redemption.
1:50:58
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe Mox goes oh yeah you want to you you're he's already in the group.
1:51:01
[SPEAKER_01]: Hey you're in our group and you won the Owen Why don't you give it to me?
1:51:06
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm the leader of the group give me the title shot.
1:51:08
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, then we'll go fuck no and then they have a match Redemption is the name of the show.
1:51:13
[SPEAKER_01]: Well winner actually gets to Owen title shot
1:51:16
[SPEAKER_01]: and then will get eaten.
1:51:18
[SPEAKER_01]: So you know, so you could put the graphic, but if Mark's beats him and then everyone goes, well, it's not going to be Mark's going to be well.
1:51:23
[SPEAKER_01]: So there's a few things that muddy this for me, because now what the hell is Mark's going to just all of a sudden is going to get in a feud with someone else before the big stadium show.
1:51:31
[SPEAKER_01]: No, he's mad at will for shoving him.
1:51:34
[SPEAKER_01]: So maybe Mexico, the August fish show, maybe it's
1:51:41
[SPEAKER_01]: Bigger TV, the TV's matter more than the paper views are.
1:51:44
[SPEAKER_01]: It seems right around now until we get to this next all in.
1:51:47
[SPEAKER_01]: But I like the angle at the end.
1:51:49
[SPEAKER_01]: Kenny hitting the one-wing angel was a shock to me.
1:51:53
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't know, necessarily means as a heal, we'll literally try to, we're thought about putting a bag on his head.
1:51:58
[SPEAKER_01]: So like he is justified of attacking him.
1:52:01
[SPEAKER_01]: He's his opponent at the next paperview.
1:52:03
[SPEAKER_01]: At least it's added something between the two of them, which we need to get on track.
1:52:07
[SPEAKER_01]: I think we need to separate the Death Rider stuff from will.
1:52:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Going for it right now.
1:52:12
[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't agree where we go with it.
1:52:14
[SPEAKER_01]: I like moxley.
1:52:15
[SPEAKER_01]: I love like I love it, but I we need to we need to focus on just will and Kenny is not a triple threat match.
1:52:22
[SPEAKER_01]: So what is mox's match?
1:52:24
[SPEAKER_01]: I guess I'll say it throw him in the casino got me.
1:52:29
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I have no idea at this point.
1:52:31
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:52:32
[SPEAKER_01]: So weird, his matches, he's just going to be there to watch the main event at this point or run in and do something in the main event.
1:52:41
[SPEAKER_01]: Regardless, Kenny and Osprey at Wembley, like that is the match.
1:52:46
[SPEAKER_01]: I cannot wait to see one more time.
1:52:49
[SPEAKER_01]: And is Will kicking out of the one-wing angel?
1:52:53
[SPEAKER_01]: I won.
1:52:58
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I know any a taste of his own medicine.
1:53:01
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you know, I think that might happen.
1:53:04
[SPEAKER_01]: Should Kenny beat will No, I don't think I said I don't know.
1:53:10
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, fortunately, it'll be great.
1:53:13
[SPEAKER_01]: So there you go.
1:53:13
[SPEAKER_01]: That was redemption What do you think You kind of said
1:53:21
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not, I won't go far to say this is a bad show because it's, it was like there's some great wrestling on this, but as far as pay for use, it's, it is right down there for AEW, like the standard is so high.
1:53:35
[SPEAKER_00]: So I always have a good time, but I did struggle more with this one than I normally do, and I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I
1:53:44
[SPEAKER_00]: I think that, I mean, we've been through it all.
1:53:46
[SPEAKER_00]: I think there were a lot of like booking errors on this show and yeah, it just felt kind of been consequential.
1:53:54
[SPEAKER_00]: So I'd say middle to low, but I wouldn't go as far as to say bad.
1:53:59
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:53:59
[SPEAKER_01]: That's fair.
1:54:01
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, going forward, we're on the road to all in.
1:54:04
[SPEAKER_01]: We got only about a month or so before the show.
1:54:07
[SPEAKER_01]: So a few weeks left of TV for them to build up.
1:54:10
[SPEAKER_01]: We've got some matches coming out of the show.
1:54:12
[SPEAKER_01]: We have lots of matches now that we kind of know our on that show.
1:54:16
[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, the main event.
1:54:17
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, make a will.
1:54:18
[SPEAKER_01]: We got will versus Mercedes graphic and then the bucks and coping Christian, which of course could change.
1:54:23
