- 0:02Speaker 1: Welcome to mediumship Sparks, where we connect more deeply with
- 0:05Speaker 1: spirit and source and follow the sparks of insight and
- 0:08Speaker 1: inspiration that bring us greater awareness, healing, and just more
- 0:11Speaker 1: flow into our lives. I'm Noel dean intuitive medium, licensed therapist,
- 0:16Speaker 1: and your host. A quick note before we begin. This
- 0:18Speaker 1: podcast is for educational purposes only and provides general information.
- 0:22Speaker 1: It is not medical or psychological advice and is not
- 0:25Speaker 1: a substitute for care from a licensed health professional. I'm
- 0:28Speaker 1: so grateful we get to step into this together. Let's
- 0:31Speaker 1: dig in. Today we are spending time with my sister
- 0:35Speaker 1: in spirit, Lisa. I was driving home earlier today and
- 0:40Speaker 1: listening to some music I had done, said she was
- 0:42Speaker 1: with me, so I was looking for a song that
- 0:46Speaker 1: she would enjoy. Iw eighties songs were coming up, and
- 0:49Speaker 1: then she brought up her wedding song at Last by
- 0:53Speaker 1: Edna Jaans. So I put her wedding song on and
- 0:57Speaker 1: I think she really enjoyed that and shared stuff about
- 1:01Speaker 1: the things that she misses from being here, specifically in
- 1:05Speaker 1: her relationship with her husband, and played it again. We sang,
- 1:09Speaker 1: and the idea was worth of doing things that would
- 1:15Speaker 1: be I want to say a favor, but also a
- 1:19Speaker 1: really positive experience for your loved one in spirit. We
- 1:21Speaker 1: would all enjoy learning more about this. Asked her to
- 1:23Speaker 1: go get some intel and to bring it back and
- 1:25Speaker 1: we would record. So here we are. She came up
- 1:30Speaker 1: with having a love fest with your spiritual loved one.
- 1:33Speaker 1: That's beautiful. So there are probably things that you're already
- 1:37Speaker 1: doing that would have you think of your person or
- 1:40Speaker 1: people in spirit. An example, using like a grandmother's recipe
- 1:45Speaker 1: to make something that she would have made maybe many times,
- 1:48Speaker 1: and the smell of it reminds you of her, The
- 1:51Speaker 1: taste of it reminds you of her, and you're thinking
- 1:54Speaker 1: about her a lot. And there's a pretty good chance
- 1:57Speaker 1: that she is right there with you because you're telegraphing
- 2:01Speaker 1: out to the universe about her and your connection with her.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Those that were connected with in spirit experience sensory input
- 2:14Speaker 1: through their connection with us. So if you're smelling those onions,
- 2:19Speaker 1: she can tune into you and smell the onions you
- 2:21Speaker 1: want them to have these experiences with you and thinking
- 2:24Speaker 1: about them and doing these little things that could just
- 2:28Speaker 1: be a hello, I love you to them, or my
- 2:31Speaker 1: sister saying an emotional or sensory hug to them. Let's
- 2:34Speaker 1: start with where we started, which is smells. Lisa is
- 2:39Speaker 1: showing an example smelling somebody's perfume, if you still have
- 2:42Speaker 1: their bottle of perfume. Other smells. She's saying, Marcily cut
- 2:47Speaker 1: wood chips, if that would be something that that maybe
- 2:51Speaker 1: was a part of their lifestyle or something that would
- 2:53Speaker 1: cove them reminisce in a positive way and feel sentimental
- 2:56Speaker 1: about having some of their favorite foods. It's just occurring
- 3:01Speaker 1: to me. She suggested that I make no key for myself,
- 3:03Speaker 1: and I don't really that, but I guess she really
- 3:06Speaker 1: liked noki. That's cute. I'll make some of that and
- 3:10Speaker 1: make sure that I'm thinking of her when I'm eating
- 3:12Speaker 1: it in an inviting way, so that she'll know that
- 3:16Speaker 1: I'm doing something for her and to show up for it.
- 3:20Speaker 1: And music, let's talk about music for a moment. Music
- 3:23Speaker 1: from the generation that everybody was brought up in would
- 3:27Speaker 1: be music they would be very sentimental about. Most likely
- 3:31Speaker 1: that could be a beautiful thing to play for them,
- 3:35Speaker 1: Like for my sister it was her wedding song, usually
- 3:37Speaker 1: eighties music. I feel her come around. If I'm going
- 3:40Speaker 1: a little crazy in the car by myself. I get
- 3:42Speaker 1: a sense of her being there with me. If she's
- 3:45Speaker 1: in the car with me, that I tend to put
- 3:48Speaker 1: eighties music on so that she can enjoy it all.
- 3:50Speaker 1: This one I hadn't really thought about. She brought up touch,
- 3:53Speaker 1: and she was showing like touching your own skin and
- 3:56Speaker 1: how they might be able to feel a part of
- 3:59Speaker 1: that experience with you, but also like petting an animal.
- 4:03Speaker 1: My sister was a cat person. It never occurred to
- 4:06Speaker 1: me that maybe she would experience petting a cat through
- 4:08Speaker 1: me petting my cat. My sister saying about also being
- 4:12Speaker 1: very mushy with our cats definitely one of her signature moves.
- 4:17Speaker 1: She also brought up about going to the beach, like
- 4:20Speaker 1: the sand on your feet, maybe the sun is out,
- 4:23Speaker 1: the water, feeling the coolness, maybe going swimming. I'm hoping
- 4:27Speaker 1: that these are generating some ideas for you of who
- 4:30Speaker 1: you want to have more of this kind of connection with.
- 4:34Speaker 1: She's saying, you could also consider it quality time together
- 4:39Speaker 1: because they're not just a passing thought. You're doing an
- 4:42Speaker 1: activity in honor of them. She's bringing up like the
- 4:46Speaker 1: combo as an example, something we had done many times
- 4:50Speaker 1: when we were younger, is driving music turned up, windows open,
- 4:54Speaker 1: wind blowing in our hair, and just loving that. It's
- 4:58Speaker 1: always a winn. In my book, she was also bringing
- 5:03Speaker 1: up about thoughts and expressing yourself. Thoughts could be maybe
- 5:09Speaker 1: missing them or there's something that you miss about them,
- 5:11Speaker 1: or how much you love them, or qualities about them
- 5:14Speaker 1: that you admire and mis experiencing. Also memories thinking about
- 5:19Speaker 1: sometimes together that you enjoy and they get to have
- 5:23Speaker 1: that experience. Also like reminiscing with you, talking to them,
- 5:29Speaker 1: just maybe suspending disbelief if you don't feel their presence
- 5:34Speaker 1: and you're not quite sure, you could just talk as if,
- 5:38Speaker 1: act as if. I do that too. Sometimes I believe
- 5:43Speaker 1: that when let's say my sister is around me, that
- 5:46Speaker 1: I have a visual sense of her in my mind's eye.
- 5:49Speaker 1: I don't physically see anything that tells me that. You know,
- 5:53Speaker 1: when you can feel somebody's in the room or in
- 5:55Speaker 1: the house with you, you just know you're not alone,
- 5:58Speaker 1: an awareness that you have. She's bringing up speaking with
- 6:02Speaker 1: other people about them, like talking about like the glory
- 6:05Speaker 1: days or the good old times or these positive memories,
- 6:09Speaker 1: and especially she's showing laughter, really enjoying even things that
- 6:13Speaker 1: might have been hard at that time, but talking about
- 6:17Speaker 1: them in a way like, oh my gosh, we were
- 6:19Speaker 1: just so ridiculous when we did this, or how upset
- 6:21Speaker 1: I got about that, or I couldn't believe she's spilled
- 6:24Speaker 1: peanut butter everywhere, like something that even might seem pretty
- 6:27Speaker 1: bad back in the day, but now you can just
- 6:30Speaker 1: laugh about it. They would get to enjoy that she's
- 6:34Speaker 1: showing this very loving image of two people talking about
- 6:39Speaker 1: some incident that happened that now is funny and just laughing,
- 6:44Speaker 1: And there's such a release about the laughter, especially when
- 6:48Speaker 1: it's somebody that both you and the person that you're
- 6:50Speaker 1: talking with may be still mourning or in a lot
- 6:53Speaker 1: of grief. It's also a relief to the person on
- 6:56Speaker 1: the other side to have a chance to see you laugh,
- 7:00Speaker 1: to experience the joy of that with you, the release
- 7:02Speaker 1: and the freedom of that alongside you. So just keep
- 7:06Speaker 1: that in mind when you're feeling the grief and you're
- 7:11Speaker 1: thinking of them there maybe right there alongside you, supporting
- 7:15Speaker 1: you also and also having compassion for you. She also
- 7:20Speaker 1: was bringing up another point about gaining wisdom and maybe
- 7:24Speaker 1: even feeling that from their perspective, they can still look
- 7:29Speaker 1: out for you. So if you're not comfortable with that,
- 7:32Speaker 1: or you haven't found something that you really connect with
- 7:35Speaker 1: in that kind of way, a lot of people ask
- 7:37Speaker 1: for signs, and that is a very powerful way to
- 7:40Speaker 1: get answers and feel that connection and the synchronicity of
- 7:43Speaker 1: all of us still being very connected, and that can
- 7:46Speaker 1: be amazing. People ask for signs. I'm seeing like a rainbow,
- 7:52Speaker 1: a stuffed elephant, whatever that first thing is that comes
- 7:56Speaker 1: to mind, go with that. Maybe they gave you that
- 8:00Speaker 1: visual of what that thing is because they know they
- 8:02Speaker 1: can deliver on that. I'm seeing like a red rose,
- 8:07Speaker 1: pink tulip, It's endless. It could also be something that
- 8:11Speaker 1: you associate with them. That could also be a song.
- 8:14Speaker 1: There are a lot of ways to get signs. It's
- 8:16Speaker 1: not just visual things or physical things. I've heard people
- 8:19Speaker 1: ask for signs for physical things and then they end
- 8:22Speaker 1: up seeing pictures of it on the Internet and they
- 8:24Speaker 1: weren't searching for it. It's just organically showed up for them.
- 8:29Speaker 1: And there's always the caveat of please don't dismiss that
- 8:32Speaker 1: when it happens. In some ways, it still occurs in
- 8:36Speaker 1: my mind like surreal to be disconnected with people who
- 8:42Speaker 1: have passed and are no longer in a body. We
- 8:45Speaker 1: are so programmed to believe that they are unreachable and
- 8:50Speaker 1: we are untouchable to them, and clearly that is not
- 8:54Speaker 1: the case. But we have to remember to suspend our disbelief. So,
- 8:59Speaker 1: just as an example, if you ask for a sign
- 9:03Speaker 1: I'm seeing like a striped caterpillar. You see it. If
- 9:06Speaker 1: you're like, no, that was too easy, or maybe you
- 9:10Speaker 1: have pictures on your phone of a striped caterpillar, and
- 9:13Speaker 1: then you ask for a sign if you think I
- 9:15Speaker 1: should do this, or if it's a yes that you're
- 9:17Speaker 1: here with me, please show me the striped caterpillar. And
- 9:19Speaker 1: then you open your phone. This is how she's showing
- 9:22Speaker 1: it to me. And then I have an iPhone. I
- 9:24Speaker 1: don't know if it happens on the other phones, but
- 9:26Speaker 1: it'll say memories from twenty sixteen, and then maybe that
- 9:30Speaker 1: caterpillar just pops up. You might say, Nah, that couldn't
- 9:34Speaker 1: have been it. That was too easier. Maybe I looked
- 9:36Speaker 1: at that caterpillar. It's so easy to discount that phenomenon
- 9:41Speaker 1: because maybe it still seems surreal to you that you're
- 9:45Speaker 1: that connected, that they are in certain ways still a
- 9:49Speaker 1: very active part of your life, and you do what
- 9:52Speaker 1: feels right to you. But I am really encouraging you
- 9:55Speaker 1: to not throw away those opportunities to feel connected to
- 10:00Speaker 1: not just assume that they're a part of your life
- 10:02Speaker 1: and that they're trying to support you, but to have
- 10:04Speaker 1: a knowing that they are because those things show up
- 10:08Speaker 1: and you didn't create that. I've done all of that
- 10:11Speaker 1: just so you know. So I've doubted and doubted because
- 10:15Speaker 1: it's natural to do that, and it's normal to not
- 10:18Speaker 1: assume that we are like a radar for people on
- 10:22Speaker 1: the other side. But good news is that we certainly
- 10:27Speaker 1: are and can be. And if I can do it,
- 10:32Speaker 1: please believe you can. From the bottom of my soul
- 10:37Speaker 1: and root chakra. There's nothing special about me that I'm
- 10:41Speaker 1: allowed to do this or I can enjoy this in
- 10:45Speaker 1: the way that I do. I've just spent the time
- 10:47Speaker 1: working at it. That's it. So you have to figure
- 10:52Speaker 1: this out for yourself and what you feel comfortable with.
- 10:55Speaker 1: This is what she shared for today. She really wanted
- 10:57Speaker 1: you to feel a bit more inspired that you could
- 11:02Speaker 1: do more if you so chose to have more connection.
- 11:06Speaker 1: She's remind you That also includes pets or animals that
- 11:09Speaker 1: you've known, just thinking about them, if you want to
- 11:13Speaker 1: haul their energy to you in your own mind, like it's, Oh,
- 11:16Speaker 1: I miss you, I wish you were here. If you
- 11:18Speaker 1: can just come next to me, I would just love
- 11:20Speaker 1: that so much. And whether you feel it or not,
- 11:25Speaker 1: it's still you reaching out to them, and maybe that
- 11:28Speaker 1: just makes your heart feel a little softer and a
- 11:31Speaker 1: little less grief stricken when you have those moments. We
- 11:35Speaker 1: all have those moments. I have those moments too. I'm
- 11:38Speaker 1: having one right now. That's just part of being human.
- 11:44Speaker 1: And sometimes it's easier to gloss over the sadness and
- 11:48Speaker 1: the natural grief of those that have crossed when you
- 11:52Speaker 1: focus on mediumship. I tend to do that because I
- 11:55Speaker 1: am way more excited about the connection and the relationship
- 12:00Speaker 1: that we get to keep, and I focus on that
- 12:03Speaker 1: because that's the whole point of me opening my mouth
- 12:06Speaker 1: about this stuff. But just know that I have that too.
- 12:09Speaker 1: When I think about my cat Tiger and how long
- 12:13Speaker 1: it's been since I've held him in my arms and
- 12:15Speaker 1: kissed him and felt his fur, I can flash back
- 12:17Speaker 1: to the memory of that very easily. It's right there
- 12:20Speaker 1: for me right now how soft his hair was. But
- 12:23Speaker 1: it's not the same as cuddling with him or having
- 12:25Speaker 1: him on my lap, no matter how much communication I
- 12:28Speaker 1: work to have with him now. So I'm with you
- 12:33Speaker 1: on that part, and let's focus on and celebrate the
- 12:37Speaker 1: maintaining of the relationship that we really do have the
- 12:40Speaker 1: opportunity to do and still share our love with them
- 12:45Speaker 1: and hopefully experience their love for us, because that is
- 12:49Speaker 1: what it's all about. I wish there you, whoever you're missing,
- 12:54Speaker 1: that you find your way to feel more connected and
- 12:59Speaker 1: loved in all the best ways possible. So if you
- 13:04Speaker 1: have any questions you want my sister and I to answer,
- 13:07Speaker 1: or anything they're pondering that you want to learn a
- 13:10Speaker 1: little bit more about, and she'll go do the footwork
- 13:13Speaker 1: apparently because she did for this. Please let me know
- 13:16Speaker 1: that would be such a joy to connect with you
- 13:18Speaker 1: in that way and then hear what's on your heart
- 13:20Speaker 1: and see what we can do with it. Okay, thank
- 13:24Speaker 1: you to Lisa, and Lisa says, thank you very much
- 13:28Speaker 1: for listening, Thank you so much for listening. And she's
- 13:32Speaker 1: making a joke, a terminator joke that will be back
- 13:37Speaker 1: and we will joyfully. So until next time, take care.
