- 0:14Speaker 2: This is the best of Stu Gotson Company Live on
- 0:17Speaker 2: Fox Sports Radio.
- 0:20Speaker 1: We have a lot to get to today. It isn't
- 0:22Speaker 1: Matt Rushmore Monday. We have the we Can Observations. And
- 0:29Speaker 1: I am told that Israel Goudyeires, inspired by bordop Ricardo
- 0:34Speaker 1: from last week, has come up with a new song
- 0:37Speaker 1: for the show.
- 0:38Speaker 3: All right, most of that information is true.
- 0:40Speaker 4: Yes, Mikey, you made a face.
- 0:42Speaker 1: I also was shocked, And Mikey just made a face
- 0:44Speaker 1: like WHOA, Well, I'm shocked.
- 0:45Speaker 4: Not because Israel Goudieiras is afraid.
- 0:47Speaker 1: To put the work in. He works very hard, but
- 0:50Speaker 1: because is he put together a song.
- 0:52Speaker 4: I mean, Israel.
- 0:53Speaker 5: Goudyeires is He has been proming us, promising us songs
- 0:59Speaker 5: for months.
- 1:00Speaker 6: Yes, and I am surprised.
- 1:01Speaker 7: He keeps saying, oh, I just got to figure out
- 1:03Speaker 7: how to get the music just right, and I got
- 1:05Speaker 7: to tinker with this and tinker with that, like I
- 1:08Speaker 7: have the lyrics but I don't really like it, and
- 1:11Speaker 7: now we're going to debut you wanted it.
- 1:13Speaker 6: I am shocked.
- 1:14Speaker 3: Well, I mean you should be shocked. It's been a
- 1:16Speaker 3: minute part of the reason why I don't do all
- 1:19Speaker 3: that other stuff, like you said, it's just I don't
- 1:21Speaker 3: have studio access, like maybe we had some place else
- 1:24Speaker 3: that maybe will allow us to do this stuff. So
- 1:26Speaker 3: you know the other song that I did and I do,
- 1:29Speaker 3: I could do it live for you right now if
- 1:30Speaker 3: you want it. It just doesn't sound great, yes, but
- 1:33Speaker 3: it requires some auto tune and some work, so that
- 1:35Speaker 3: one is a little complicated.
- 1:36Speaker 4: I will let you know.
- 1:37Speaker 1: These studios are not this one that we're in right now,
- 1:40Speaker 1: But there are other studios where you could record that
- 1:42Speaker 1: song at any time during the day or night, just
- 1:44Speaker 1: so you know.
- 1:45Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean you want to give me access to
- 1:46Speaker 3: them and give me somebody who knows what they're doing.
- 1:48Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:48Speaker 1: His name is bored Up Record on Okay, Okay, are
- 1:52Speaker 1: you familiar with him?
- 1:53Speaker 3: Yeah, Okay, this.
- 1:54Speaker 8: Is my astro over here. He needs Abbey Road Record
- 1:57Speaker 8: to record a song.
- 1:58Speaker 1: I mean Taylor was doing him in the middle of
- 2:00Speaker 1: the night during the NBA Finals. I have no idea
- 2:02Speaker 1: how he was getting them done, but it was one
- 2:04Speaker 1: to night.
- 2:04Speaker 3: But when you're sort of known for maybe singing poorly,
- 2:10Speaker 3: it's a lot easier to just put together. So and
- 2:13Speaker 3: I'm somewhere in the middle where I can't. I can
- 2:15Speaker 3: do it poorly if I really wanted to, but I
- 2:16Speaker 3: don't know if it's going to hit that well.
- 2:18Speaker 4: Huh.
- 2:19Speaker 5: I also love the idea of born Opercardo being that
- 2:21Speaker 5: Christopher Walken character from the famous Will Ferrell sketch.
- 2:25Speaker 6: The more cow bell like he walks in, I'm born Apercardo.
- 2:28Speaker 6: I'm a cock of the walk baby.
- 2:30Speaker 4: Yes, the watch I have cow bell izy.
- 2:35Speaker 1: We have now had We will get to all of
- 2:37Speaker 1: that coming up here in a little bit, but we
- 2:40Speaker 1: have now had a weekend to kind of digest, think
- 2:43Speaker 1: about absorb Lebron James's decision to go to Philadelphia. I
- 2:47Speaker 1: applaud Lebron James. I think he made the right decision.
- 2:51Speaker 1: I think he has the right reasons for making said decision,
- 2:54Speaker 1: going to Philadelphia, trying to win championships or else. Why
- 2:57Speaker 1: would you continue to play if you're not trying to
- 2:59Speaker 1: win NBA championships and catch Michael Jordan and he thought
- 3:03Speaker 1: Philadelphia gave him the best chance of doing that. So
- 3:06Speaker 1: do you have any thoughts after spending a weekend alone
- 3:09Speaker 1: thinking about this, not getting Lebron James down to Miami,
- 3:13Speaker 1: but he is going to Philadelphia.
- 3:14Speaker 3: Why do you assume I was alone all weekend?
- 3:16Speaker 4: I don't know. I thought, yeah, I have no idea.
- 3:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, plenty of other things came to mind.
- 3:21Speaker 3: I still couldn't get over the fact that he said
- 3:23Speaker 3: this isn't about family. I don't care about family right now,
- 3:25Speaker 3: just about winning. But a couple of things came to mind,
- 3:29Speaker 3: is you know, because last week I thought it made
- 3:32Speaker 3: all the sense in the world. I thought it was
- 3:34Speaker 3: a you know, for what he is wanting, which is
- 3:37Speaker 3: to win another title, to add to his legacy, and
- 3:40Speaker 3: to do it with as much support as possible given
- 3:43Speaker 3: his age at the moment, and him saying it's the
- 3:45Speaker 3: final decision.
- 3:46Speaker 4: I get all of it.
- 3:47Speaker 3: But then I started to think about, you know, different scenarios,
- 3:50Speaker 3: like what if it just went pretty poorly, Like what
- 3:53Speaker 3: if everything that we were talking about in terms of
- 3:56Speaker 3: Joel Embiid's health, Jalen Brown's inability to you know, a
- 4:00Speaker 3: good teammate, Tyres Maxi and VJ. Edgecombe's desire to continue
- 4:04Speaker 3: to develop. What if all those things play into him
- 4:09Speaker 3: not having the season. Let's just say one season, because
- 4:12Speaker 3: obviously it's a one in one. He could sign for
- 4:14Speaker 3: a second year, but if it goes disastrous or less
- 4:17Speaker 3: than perfect in the first season, I don't see him
- 4:20Speaker 3: necessarily going for a second season. But let's just say
- 4:23Speaker 3: some of those things happen. And on top of that,
- 4:26Speaker 3: you get Lebron, which is something that was rumored or
- 4:29Speaker 3: something that was discussed by Brian Windhorst as well, potentially
- 4:32Speaker 3: living in New York and helicoptering to and fro to
- 4:36Speaker 3: Philadelphia and back.
- 4:37Speaker 1: That's on That only works if you get off to
- 4:39Speaker 1: like a thirty two and eight start.
- 4:41Speaker 3: So if things go wrong and and Lebron is just
- 4:44Speaker 3: a part time Philly guy, you think these Philly fans
- 4:47Speaker 3: are gonna take it very well. Now, you think they're
- 4:49Speaker 3: gonna blame Joel Embiid or Tyrese Maxi or VJ. Edgecombe. No,
- 4:53Speaker 3: they're gonna blame Lebron James probably, And it could get ugly.
- 4:57Speaker 3: And if it's going to get ugly, you could see
- 4:59Speaker 3: it in that right where Joel Embiid hasn't done anything.
- 5:02Speaker 3: The Philadelphia seventy six ers haven't won anything in almost
- 5:05Speaker 3: fifty years, so you could see it going poorly, and man,
- 5:08Speaker 3: that would be a shame. Like the way if his
- 5:11Speaker 3: career ended that way, it would just be a shame.
- 5:13Speaker 1: That's why I applaud him. He took the He made
- 5:15Speaker 1: the decision that comes with the most amount of risk.
- 5:17Speaker 1: He could have gone to Cleveland. It's just going home
- 5:19Speaker 1: and ending the career. It's coming full circle. He could
- 5:22Speaker 1: have went back to Miami unfinished business and all that stuff.
- 5:25Speaker 4: No one would have expected them to win.
- 5:27Speaker 1: I don't think an NBA title the way they're expecting
- 5:29Speaker 1: this Philadelphia seventy six er team. It could have been
- 5:32Speaker 1: Golden State, just want to play with my friend Steph
- 5:34Speaker 1: Curry have some fun for a year or two.
- 5:36Speaker 4: It could have been one of those places.
- 5:38Speaker 1: He chose the place with the maximum amount of pressure
- 5:42Speaker 1: in Philadelphia, because you're right, if they don't get off
- 5:45Speaker 1: to a good start, or if they don't have the
- 5:48Speaker 1: type of season they think they're going to have, that's
- 5:50Speaker 1: the one place where he will leave himself open for
- 5:53Speaker 1: some sort of criticism from that fan base.
- 5:55Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I would argue, but I applaud that.
- 5:57Speaker 4: I do. I applaud that.
- 5:58Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, I would argue Golden would come with some
- 6:01Speaker 3: level of pressure just because it's the old guys playing together,
- 6:03Speaker 3: and that's a choice that he would have made. But yeah,
- 6:06Speaker 3: I'm with you there.
- 6:07Speaker 4: It's a lot.
- 6:07Speaker 3: But we think of Michael Jordan with the Wizards, what
- 6:11Speaker 3: do you really think of do you think of a
- 6:13Speaker 3: He was great, but the rest of the team was terrible.
- 6:16Speaker 3: It was a good way for him to end his career.
- 6:18Speaker 3: Or do you think I could have ended it with
- 6:20Speaker 3: the Bulls.
- 6:20Speaker 4: I tried not to think about it.
- 6:22Speaker 3: I mean, and that's what I'm just thinking. You know,
- 6:25Speaker 3: with Lebron, if it does go bad, it can go
- 6:28Speaker 3: pretty bad, right because of that city, because of the
- 6:31Speaker 3: emotions involved, and because it's been so long and they've
- 6:34Speaker 3: seen failure over and over, and because they're ready. They're
- 6:38Speaker 3: ready to embrace him, but they're just as ready to
- 6:41Speaker 3: turn on him if things go wrong, because again, who
- 6:43Speaker 3: else are they going to blame. They're not really going
- 6:44Speaker 3: to blame Jalen Brown. They got him for Paul George.
- 6:48Speaker 8: In Lebron's announcement post, he mentioned that his desire was
- 6:52Speaker 8: to try to win championships on his way out, and
- 6:55Speaker 8: then Stu, you get this report from Sam Amico from
- 6:58Speaker 8: the NBA Wire, Ron James Camp reached out to the
- 7:01Speaker 8: New York Knicks during free agency, but New York had
- 7:04Speaker 8: no interest in pursuing him.
- 7:06Speaker 4: God, I like that I do.
- 7:08Speaker 8: And when he goes to Philadelphia, you kind of have
- 7:10Speaker 8: this understanding of being like man. I think if Lebron
- 7:14Speaker 8: had the option of going to the Knicks, he might
- 7:16Speaker 8: have still gone to the Knicks even though they did
- 7:19Speaker 8: win the title. If his goal was to just go
- 7:21Speaker 8: to the best team that gave him the chance to
- 7:23Speaker 8: win titles. Because right now, as currently constructed, it is
- 7:27Speaker 8: the Knicks.
- 7:28Speaker 3: That's what sort of shocked me about what people responded.
- 7:31Speaker 3: Some few people responded to my take on Lebron bringing
- 7:35Speaker 3: a championship to Philly. Okay, cause let's do a tailor game.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Close your eyes and now picture the Philadelphia seventy six
- 7:42Speaker 3: ers winning the championship. The clock's running down, they're up
- 7:45Speaker 3: by six or seven. The realization is coming in that
- 7:48Speaker 3: the Sixers are gonna break their drought. Where does the
- 7:51Speaker 3: camera pan to first? You're gonna tell me it's Joel
- 7:55Speaker 3: mb you're gonna tell me it's Jalen Brown or Tyree's No,
- 7:58Speaker 3: the camera's going right to Lebron James, right. Lebron James
- 8:02Speaker 3: is going to be the reason people credit him as
- 8:05Speaker 3: being the reason this team of talented players was able
- 8:09Speaker 3: to become a champion, because you could argue Jayen Now,
- 8:12Speaker 3: obviously whatever happens in the regular season will play into that,
- 8:14Speaker 3: but let's just assume it's stuff that we've seen before, right,
- 8:17Speaker 3: and Jalen Brown's not going to be a thirty point
- 8:18Speaker 3: a game scorer on this team, so they're not gonna
- 8:20Speaker 3: credit him. They're going to credit the guy who knows
- 8:22Speaker 3: how to win. They're going to credit the guy who
- 8:24Speaker 3: didn't just flame out in the first round like Jalen Brown,
- 8:27Speaker 3: or who didn't flame out in every first or second
- 8:29Speaker 3: round he's ever been in, like Joel Embiid. They're gonna
- 8:32Speaker 3: credit Lebron James. And so he will be the guy
- 8:34Speaker 3: that is bringing a championship to Philadelphia.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Yes, but he should get the credit I think this
- 8:39Speaker 1: next season or two. Unfortunately for Jalen Brown, who wanted
- 8:43Speaker 1: these seasons to be about him, they're not going to
- 8:45Speaker 1: be about him.
- 8:45Speaker 4: They're not about Maxi, They're not about.
- 8:47Speaker 1: You know, Joel Embi, They're not about Edgecombe and his development.
- 8:51Speaker 1: This is all about Lebron James and can he get
- 8:53Speaker 1: a fifth title? And did he make the right decision?
- 8:55Speaker 1: And listen, Lebron does a lot for you in that regard,
- 8:58Speaker 1: because if it goes south, he's gonna take the heat
- 9:01Speaker 1: for the entire team. But if they win, he's gonna
- 9:03Speaker 1: get a good amount of the credit for that team
- 9:06Speaker 1: winning an NBA championship, even if he doesn't deserve it.
- 9:09Speaker 4: It's just the story we all want to see.
- 9:11Speaker 3: And that's another element to why I think if things
- 9:14Speaker 3: go south, it's going to get ugly because all these
- 9:17Speaker 3: other players who've never played with him are going to
- 9:19Speaker 3: see him getting all the credit. They're gonna see him
- 9:22Speaker 3: potentially helicoptering in and out of Philadelphia just for practice
- 9:26Speaker 3: in games, and they're gonna see, oh, we're not going
- 9:29Speaker 3: to get any credit. And if you know, if we
- 9:32Speaker 3: mess up, we're gonna get all the blame. And this
- 9:34Speaker 3: guy over here, who doesn't play any defense because he's
- 9:36Speaker 3: forty one going on forty two, is going to get
- 9:38Speaker 3: all the credit. And you know, it could be team
- 9:40Speaker 3: turmoil in a heartbeat.
- 9:42Speaker 1: How do you feel about Jalen Brunton Taylor saying he
- 9:44Speaker 1: did not recruit Lebron James. I love that the Knicks
- 9:47Speaker 1: just they're like, Eh, no need we don't need him.
- 9:49Speaker 1: I was telling Mikey earlier today that a funny thing
- 9:52Speaker 1: has happened to me since the Knicks have won an
- 9:53Speaker 1: NBA title. It's even better than I imagine where I'm just
- 9:57Speaker 1: sitting back. I don't care that they lost. Mitchell Robb
- 10:00Speaker 1: been saying, I don't care that they didn't pursue Lebron James.
- 10:03Speaker 1: But I am sitting back, relaxing and smiling because we
- 10:06Speaker 1: won an NBA title. And look at what all these
- 10:09Speaker 1: other teams are trying to do just to make sure
- 10:12Speaker 1: there is good or.
- 10:12Speaker 4: Better than the New York Knicks. Oh, what a great
- 10:16Speaker 4: time to be alive.
- 10:17Speaker 8: You not caring about the Knicks in the offseason. How's
- 10:19Speaker 8: that different than any other offseason.
- 10:23Speaker 4: We have a title, That's that what's different?
- 10:25Speaker 8: Yes, But I don't think it's Jalen Brunson's responsibility to
- 10:29Speaker 8: go out there and recruit Lebron James to a team
- 10:32Speaker 8: that he just won a title. For that, Jalen Brunson
- 10:35Speaker 8: was the one that took the mantle on of delivering
- 10:38Speaker 8: New York a title. At this point, if you're Jalen Brunson,
- 10:41Speaker 8: you're either with us or you're against us. If you
- 10:43Speaker 8: want to join us, go ahead. I don't have to,
- 10:46Speaker 8: you know, sit you down at dinner and pitch you
- 10:50Speaker 8: on why you should be a Nick. It's almost the
- 10:52Speaker 8: opposite way where Lebron should have been calling Jalen Brunson saying, Hey, Jalen,
- 10:56Speaker 8: I would like to sit down with a meeting for you, yeah,
- 10:59Speaker 8: and tell you why I think I would be a
- 11:01Speaker 8: great option on this.
- 11:02Speaker 4: Len pitch them.
- 11:04Speaker 3: Jalen is not a dummy. He just won a championship
- 11:08Speaker 3: with his guys, and now he's going to recruit somebody
- 11:10Speaker 3: what to replace og In and it be no chance
- 11:12Speaker 3: in hell. Like he's clearly just being sitting back like
- 11:15Speaker 3: Stu Gotts. Yeah, I'm saying I'm not worried about the
- 11:17Speaker 3: Knicks offseason. I'm the kick.
- 11:20Speaker 1: I mean, Jalen Brown, I yawned Lebron James. I laughed,
- 11:23Speaker 1: h with the Kings with the champs.
- 11:25Speaker 3: I mean it's funny though it sort of where he
- 11:28Speaker 3: leaves the rest of the league once he makes his decision,
- 11:30Speaker 3: because there wasn't but a few weeks ago, everybody was like, wow,
- 11:33Speaker 3: Lebron James and Steph Curry are going to end their
- 11:35Speaker 3: careers together and win a couple of championships, maybe both
- 11:38Speaker 3: get to six and say what are you going to
- 11:40Speaker 3: say now, Michael Jordan, And now you've got Steph Curry
- 11:43Speaker 3: out here sitting like, Wow, I don't know where I'm
- 11:45Speaker 3: going to end my career potentially because you know, there's
- 11:47Speaker 3: a report that says maybe he's not on the same
- 11:50Speaker 3: page with the Golden State Warriors. I don't necessarily believe
- 11:54Speaker 3: that that is that big of a problem because Steve
- 11:57Speaker 3: Kirk came back for a reason. It's not because he's
- 11:58Speaker 3: going to coach somebody else than Steph Curry. Right, So
- 12:01Speaker 3: the idea of the Warriors brass potentially saying, hey, we
- 12:06Speaker 3: want to focus on the future, we want to, you know,
- 12:08Speaker 3: get some young players. I think that's nonsense. You you
- 12:10Speaker 3: play with Steph Curry as long as possible, try to
- 12:13Speaker 3: build around him as long as possible, as long as
- 12:15Speaker 3: he's willing to stay put. But man, it is intriguing
- 12:18Speaker 3: to see if they sort of go in different directions,
- 12:21Speaker 3: if they start off poorly, if Jimmy Butler doesn't come back, great,
- 12:24Speaker 3: If yea Moses Moody doesn't come back, great. You're gonna
- 12:27Speaker 3: look at Steph Curry say, you know what, I really
- 12:29Speaker 3: want to stay here my entire career, but maybe I
- 12:33Speaker 3: don't have to. Maybe I should pursue a championship somewhere else,
- 12:36Speaker 3: because the Steve Kurr system is one thing. But I
- 12:39Speaker 3: can probably win with you know, Yannis by my side
- 12:41Speaker 3: or you know some other great player by my side.
- 12:44Speaker 3: Doesn't have to be in Golden State.
- 12:45Speaker 4: We take him in New York. I don't necessarily minimum
- 12:51Speaker 4: buy out.
- 12:51Speaker 8: Yeah, I would take him one. Yes, good shooting off
- 12:54Speaker 8: the bench.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Even Brunton would take that off the bench. You have
- 12:57Speaker 1: Steph Curry coming off the bench, sixth fan of the
- 12:58Speaker 1: year from our third option behind Alvarado in.
- 13:02Speaker 4: Crunch time, clutch time, playoff time.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Yes, Alvarado has to come in first off the bench,
- 13:07Speaker 1: no doubt.
- 13:07Speaker 8: Man, I will never forget what Alvarado did that finals.
- 13:12Speaker 4: It's great? Am I wrong? Like Taylor?
- 13:15Speaker 1: You are concerned about every off season the Knicks have,
- 13:17Speaker 1: but not this one.
- 13:18Speaker 4: Correct? I mean you're fine, right, No, this is this.
- 13:21Speaker 8: Is the most lax I've ever been with the Knicks
- 13:24Speaker 8: front office because at this point too like I could
- 13:27Speaker 8: stress out about, you know, moves that they make. This
- 13:31Speaker 8: front office has earned a pass of saying, hey, I
- 13:33Speaker 8: trust you guys blindly whatever team you put going into
- 13:37Speaker 8: the season. At this point, we have to just respect
- 13:40Speaker 8: that this front office knows what they're doing.
- 13:44Speaker 5: Is he My question is for you, what's the over
- 13:46Speaker 5: under you have on how long this trust? This blind
- 13:49Speaker 5: trust this. I don't care what happens last for these
- 13:52Speaker 5: two guys.
- 13:53Speaker 8: Oh, because I.
- 13:53Speaker 6: Don't think it makes it. I don't think it makes
- 13:56Speaker 6: it past say February March.
- 13:58Speaker 3: Oh, I think you're going way too far. If by
- 14:00Speaker 3: the end of November the Knicks are like sixth in
- 14:04Speaker 3: the East, these guys are gonna go on.
- 14:05Speaker 8: If the Knicks don't win open at night, yeah, I'll
- 14:07Speaker 8: start to panic opening nights.
- 14:09Speaker 1: I mean, who do they play? Opening Night's gonna be Philadelphia.
- 14:12Speaker 8: I don't think the schedules come out.
- 14:13Speaker 1: I mean, where's schedule? Where any one of the decisions
- 14:16Speaker 1: so bad? Where is mister schedule?
- 14:18Speaker 4: Now? Huh?
- 14:19Speaker 8: Who would you rather have as the next opening night opponent,
- 14:22Speaker 8: yeh at Madison Square Garden the Lebron James Spectacle of
- 14:26Speaker 8: the seventy six Ers or NBA Finals rematch against the Spurs.
- 14:31Speaker 8: And when you're hanging up that banner, Victor wenbin Yama
- 14:33Speaker 8: gets a front row to see that banner get raised.
- 14:36Speaker 4: I want the Spurs. I want Wenby to have to
- 14:37Speaker 4: sit there and watch it.
- 14:39Speaker 3: I think they still hate the Spurs more than they've
- 14:41Speaker 3: hated the Sixers for at least what a couple of decades. Yes,
- 14:45Speaker 3: I think Victor Wenbin Yama needs to feel that hatred
- 14:48Speaker 3: from those Knicks fans. I'm also curious how Jimmy Butler
- 14:50Speaker 3: feels when he hears, you know, reports of Steph Curry
- 14:54Speaker 3: tired of his team wail chasing because they supposedly got
- 14:58Speaker 3: one in Jimmy Butler, right, it's not. I guess he's
- 15:00Speaker 3: not good enough anymore.
- 15:02Speaker 4: They got the bad one.
- 15:05Speaker 1: What is the Mount Rushmore Monday today? Because it's coming
- 15:08Speaker 1: up next. I'm not certain who won last week's Mount Rushmore,
- 15:11Speaker 1: but whoever that was gets to decide this week's Mount Rushmore.
- 15:15Speaker 4: So what do we have here, guys?
- 15:16Speaker 8: I am the back to back champion of Mount Rushmore
- 15:19Speaker 8: Monday right now. And the topic I picked is NBA
- 15:22Speaker 8: teammates of Lebron James.
- 15:24Speaker 4: Wow.
- 15:25Speaker 3: Wow, not a Knicks top.
- 15:26Speaker 1: So this week you can got to kick back it
- 15:28Speaker 1: just like if you win, you win, if you lose,
- 15:30Speaker 1: not a big deal, kind of like the Knicks, right,
- 15:32Speaker 1: I mean yeah.
- 15:32Speaker 8: And the one qualifier that I want to mention before
- 15:34Speaker 8: we get to the Mount Rushmore Monday, it's going to
- 15:37Speaker 8: be the player's peaks. So like even if you got
- 15:40Speaker 8: a teammate at the end of their career, it's whatever
- 15:42Speaker 8: that player was their while he played for correctly right,
- 15:47Speaker 8: player's peak wrinkle.
- 15:49Speaker 4: I like that. I love a wrinkle.
- 15:50Speaker 2: Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Godson Company
- 15:54Speaker 2: Live weekday said three pm Eastern twelve pm Pacific on
- 15:58Speaker 2: Fox Sports Radio and the Heart Radio app.
- 16:03Speaker 1: Chris, stay right there. We need you as a judge
- 16:05Speaker 1: for this week's Mount Rushmore. Where is Dan Bayer by
- 16:08Speaker 1: the way, is he's still golfing?
- 16:09Speaker 4: Where is he? Chris? Do you know?
- 16:10Speaker 9: I mean he's on uh you know how the Odyssey
- 16:12Speaker 9: came out?
- 16:14Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah, he kind of found his own Uh what's
- 16:17Speaker 10: that island? Yeah, he's on his voyage, and he found
- 16:19Speaker 10: his own layer of g on Us or whatever the
- 16:21Speaker 10: island's name is. Ok No, he's dealing with He's dealing
- 16:24Speaker 10: with like armored giants who want him to play dolls.
- 16:28Speaker 4: Are you okay with being the judge for this week's
- 16:30Speaker 4: Mount Rushmore?
- 16:31Speaker 10: I'm more than okay. I I I can't wait to
- 16:33Speaker 10: hear the name Mario Chalmers.
- 16:35Speaker 3: I've always thought you were the greatest update guy.
- 16:37Speaker 8: Thanks.
- 16:38Speaker 3: Well, I don't, I don't.
- 16:39Speaker 1: I don't mean to ask a ton of questions here,
- 16:41Speaker 1: But where did you go to school?
- 16:43Speaker 6: Chris?
- 16:44Speaker 10: So my trip, my trip is a little tortured. I
- 16:48Speaker 10: went to Wake Forest and I dropped out after a
- 16:50Speaker 10: couple of years. I do hold him Masters from usc
- 16:54Speaker 10: and I'm originally from Toledo, Ohio.
- 16:56Speaker 1: Okay, some clues, Yes, all right, I jumped around a lot. Okay,
- 17:01Speaker 1: we could tell right. Normally when I ask someone where
- 17:03Speaker 1: they go to school, it's a very efficient quick.
- 17:05Speaker 9: Answer that that doesn't work with me.
- 17:08Speaker 1: No, see, Chris, I have no issue with that, all right.
- 17:12Speaker 1: So it's mikey a first, I am second.
- 17:15Speaker 4: Is he his third? Tailor's fourth?
- 17:17Speaker 1: So I am very much looking forward to this because
- 17:20Speaker 1: I have some funny names written down.
- 17:21Speaker 4: Iowa was Sam, give me the image it thank you there.
- 17:25Speaker 2: Yeah, you the guy with the spreadsheet pretending to work.
- 17:30Speaker 2: Do you find yourself needing a pick me up as
- 17:33Speaker 2: you're dragging and your cubicle start the week? Are you
- 17:38Speaker 2: ready to put the sports back in sports talk? Well,
- 17:42Speaker 2: then you're in luck because every Monday we climbed the mountain,
- 17:47Speaker 2: we talked the legends, and we argue about.
- 17:50Speaker 6: Things the truth you can't handle, the truth.
- 17:54Speaker 2: That absolutely do not matter and are completely subjective. This
- 17:59Speaker 2: is mouth Rushmore Monday Monday.
- 18:03Speaker 8: So the mount Rushmore Monday is gonna be NBA teammates
- 18:06Speaker 8: of Lebron James. As Stu mentioned, the order is Mikey, Stu, Gotts,
- 18:10Speaker 8: busy me, and then it's gonna snake back around. We
- 18:14Speaker 8: have decided seventy six ers are eligible for this draft. Wow,
- 18:18Speaker 8: so players that he will play with this year if
- 18:21Speaker 8: you really want cacp On on your team, and it's
- 18:24Speaker 8: gonna be not their not when they were teammates with Lebron.
- 18:28Speaker 8: It's gonna be their peaks in their NBA career or
- 18:31Speaker 8: just how good their NBA careers were in general.
- 18:34Speaker 3: So this is for people who want to say that
- 18:36Speaker 3: Lebron James has played with X many Hall of famers
- 18:39Speaker 3: even though they didn't actually play at a Hall of
- 18:41Speaker 3: Fame level.
- 18:41Speaker 8: Necessarily, we might had a couple of coffee with right, correct,
- 18:44Speaker 8: Just think.
- 18:45Speaker 4: About them in their peak. Okay, okay, all right.
- 18:49Speaker 1: By the way, I'm reminded that Kyle Whittingham is the
- 18:51Speaker 1: coach at Michigan. Football is back, and I am reminded
- 18:53Speaker 1: I forgot that Kyle Whittingham left Utah and is now.
- 18:56Speaker 4: The head coach of the University of Michigan.
- 18:58Speaker 8: Yeah, they have that whole uh Sharon More thing?
- 19:00Speaker 4: Yeah, how about that? That whole shot?
- 19:04Speaker 1: Really is that how you're gonna describe it? How's your
- 19:06Speaker 1: Carolina thing going? He is out of here, I mean,
- 19:11Speaker 1: and he's paid.
- 19:13Speaker 8: You take Belichick with you on your way out.
- 19:15Speaker 6: He's not gonna do that.
- 19:17Speaker 4: Uh Mikey, Yeah, you are up. First year who you
- 19:19Speaker 4: going with? Wow? This is tough, man.
- 19:21Speaker 5: No, it's it's really not. Once once Taylor gave us
- 19:25Speaker 5: the caveat.
- 19:26Speaker 4: It's not.
- 19:26Speaker 5: When they were teammates with Lebron, the warm got together
- 19:29Speaker 5: and we took one of the most dominant players of
- 19:31Speaker 5: all time we're gonna take the Diesel.
- 19:33Speaker 4: We're gonna take Wow.
- 19:34Speaker 3: Wow, I didn't even think about him until after he
- 19:37Speaker 3: gave that cab.
- 19:38Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I had him written down. He was second
- 19:41Speaker 1: on my list.
- 19:42Speaker 8: Wow, you're gonna get your number one pick here?
- 19:44Speaker 1: Yeah, and my number one is obvious. Yeah, I'm gonna
- 19:46Speaker 1: take Dwayne Wade. Yep, I wrote it down.
- 19:48Speaker 6: I already wrote both of those down.
- 19:50Speaker 4: Yeah, feeling pretty good.
- 19:51Speaker 8: If you didn't pick Dwayne Wade at two, is he? What?
- 19:53Speaker 3: Of course I would have? I could. I could take
- 19:55Speaker 3: an argument for other teammates being better than Dwayne Wade,
- 19:58Speaker 3: Shack being one of them at peak, was better than
- 20:00Speaker 3: Dwayne Wade at his peak. And now I'm debating between
- 20:04Speaker 3: two guys who were probably better than Dwayne Wade at
- 20:08Speaker 3: their peak, one of them because he won an MVP
- 20:10Speaker 3: and the other one probably would win an MVP if
- 20:12Speaker 3: he just stayed on the court long enough. I'm gonna
- 20:15Speaker 3: have to go with the guy that I like on
- 20:17Speaker 3: both ends of the floor better. And you know, based
- 20:20Speaker 3: on what Taylor said, it counts. I'm going with Joel Embiid.
- 20:24Speaker 8: Wow, it's a good pick.
- 20:25Speaker 3: I mean, he's got an MVP trophy he does.
- 20:29Speaker 8: The heck of a peak is it? You're gonna get
- 20:31Speaker 8: your player because I'm almost positive I know who your
- 20:33Speaker 8: player is.
- 20:34Speaker 2: Yep.
- 20:35Speaker 8: But Lebron James has played with four regular season MVPs.
- 20:40Speaker 8: He's played with Shack, He's played with Joel Embiid, and
- 20:42Speaker 8: then with my snake picks. I'm gonna pick the other
- 20:44Speaker 8: two MVPs, Derek Rose Russell Westbrook.
- 20:49Speaker 3: Forgot about those two? Such a good list, man, because yeah,
- 20:54Speaker 3: nobody thinks of Derek Rose and Russell Westbrook as real
- 20:57Speaker 3: teammates of Lebron James. But dude's one MVP S Yeah,
- 21:02Speaker 3: that's a good one.
- 21:02Speaker 4: Where did first go to college?
- 21:05Speaker 10: Southeast Southern California, US saw the dikes? I mean, okay, no, no,
- 21:10Speaker 10: I only did two years awake for it.
- 21:11Speaker 9: So just it, just USC, just just USC.
- 21:13Speaker 8: I'll make it sample for you.
- 21:14Speaker 6: I understand, I understand, understand you.
- 21:18Speaker 3: Based on my explanation, it could have been one of
- 21:22Speaker 3: two guys where I said could win an MVP if
- 21:24Speaker 3: he just stayed on the court long enough. It could
- 21:26Speaker 3: be either Anthony Davis or Luka Doncic. But I'm gonna
- 21:30Speaker 3: go with recency bias and say.
- 21:31Speaker 8: Luka doncic Wow, I didn't write down Luca.
- 21:34Speaker 4: Really, I didn't have them all.
- 21:37Speaker 3: You have Luca what only his most recent great teammates.
- 21:43Speaker 8: Ricardo just saw the look on my face when I
- 21:45Speaker 8: looked down at sixteen and I said, oh my god,
- 21:47Speaker 8: I don't have Luca.
- 21:49Speaker 4: I had n't written down.
- 21:50Speaker 1: I didn't want to take him, so thank you for
- 21:52Speaker 1: taking him. Now I'm debating who was better at their peak,
- 22:00Speaker 1: Anthony Davis or Dwight Howard.
- 22:04Speaker 4: Totally forgot about it was better at their peak Kyrie
- 22:14Speaker 4: for Cormello.
- 22:17Speaker 6: Are you doing that thing where you're just gonna keep
- 22:19Speaker 6: naming guys?
- 22:20Speaker 4: Yep, Yep, That's what I'm doing.
- 22:22Speaker 1: I'm gonna take God, he won a title with him,
- 22:25Speaker 1: I'm gonna take. I'm gonna take Anthony Davis, not because
- 22:30Speaker 1: I want to, because he was left there.
- 22:32Speaker 6: For me to take.
- 22:33Speaker 3: Okay, all right, man, this list comes so so much
- 22:37Speaker 3: better when you go at their peak, because, like Carmelo,
- 22:40Speaker 3: Anthony blew my mind because I didn't even think about him.
- 22:43Speaker 9: Right, I know, I didn't even know he played with Shock.
- 22:46Speaker 9: That threw me.
- 22:46Speaker 4: Off, I know.
- 22:48Speaker 1: So I have Wade and Anthony Davis right now.
- 22:50Speaker 4: Go ahead, Mikey Taylor.
- 22:52Speaker 6: You got to do better research.
- 22:53Speaker 1: Man.
- 22:54Speaker 5: You forgot about an m VP winner that Lebron was
- 22:57Speaker 5: teammates with.
- 22:58Speaker 4: This is gonna win it for him.
- 23:00Speaker 6: Yes, it is.
- 23:01Speaker 5: Because although they never actually got on the court together,
- 23:04Speaker 5: he was on the team. Steve Nash was a member
- 23:08Speaker 5: of the Lakers while Lebron that.
- 23:11Speaker 8: That can't be ready. Wait as a player, are you
- 23:14Speaker 8: thinking about the Kobe years?
- 23:18Speaker 3: I'm thanking, checking checking.
- 23:20Speaker 8: When was Steve Nash and Lebron James.
- 23:22Speaker 6: I don't know, I'm reading up here.
- 23:24Speaker 4: I mean they could have been.
- 23:25Speaker 9: No, it does not last year in twenty fifteen.
- 23:29Speaker 4: It seems like you need to do better research. My friend,
- 23:32Speaker 4: he might have been on the coaching staff. Yeah, maybe
- 23:35Speaker 4: that's what it was. New pick, new pick?
- 23:37Speaker 10: All right?
- 23:37Speaker 4: Does he get a new pick? I feel like he should. Yeah,
- 23:40Speaker 4: I mean, Kyrie, I'm.
- 23:43Speaker 8: Mikey's pick should get hunted.
- 23:45Speaker 1: I feel like take it away. No, I feel will
- 23:47Speaker 1: get it wrong. We should decide your pick is gonna
- 23:49Speaker 1: be big.
- 23:50Speaker 6: I spoke out a turn. I listened to I listened
- 23:53Speaker 6: to the internet.
- 23:53Speaker 4: Yes, take it away.
- 23:54Speaker 6: I got no argument to Let's.
- 23:56Speaker 4: Give him Kyle Kuzman.
- 23:58Speaker 10: No, no, give me mary O Chalmers. I was gonna say,
- 24:03Speaker 10: you have the snake, so you have another pick?
- 24:04Speaker 3: Yeah, you got another one.
- 24:06Speaker 1: All right, so you have you have Shaq and Kuzma.
- 24:09Speaker 8: No he doesn't get but give him a chance, all right?
- 24:12Speaker 4: But Ray Allen, all right, so you're taking Ray and Kyrie.
- 24:15Speaker 3: So sneaky good Ray and Kyrie.
- 24:18Speaker 4: Yep, yep.
- 24:19Speaker 9: That was my first thought too, is Ray?
- 24:23Speaker 8: That was your first thought?
- 24:25Speaker 10: I can't get that shot out of my head, man. Yeah,
- 24:27Speaker 10: and all the Heat fans locked outside.
- 24:30Speaker 4: It shouldn't be your first thought. Here's MVPs on this list,
- 24:37Speaker 4: Steve Nash.
- 24:39Speaker 9: Steveat's turn, and he is back to naming names.
- 24:43Speaker 4: Oh that was a good joke.
- 24:44Speaker 1: Break all right, I'm gonna take I mean I mentioned
- 24:48Speaker 1: them earlier and he's still around.
- 24:49Speaker 4: I'll take Dwight Howard in his prime. How about that.
- 24:51Speaker 8: It's a great pick.
- 24:52Speaker 4: Thank you. Doing pretty good about my team.
- 24:56Speaker 1: I mean I got Wade, Anthony Davis and Dwight Howard
- 24:58Speaker 1: all in their I love that.
- 24:59Speaker 8: To I was a nine magic team like Heat, Turkulu, Rashard, Lewis, Courtney.
- 25:03Speaker 3: Lee, stan Van Gundy.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Yes, at the time, Nelson Dan has laughed at this
- 25:07Speaker 1: several times. He's a friend of mine, he's a friend
- 25:09Speaker 1: of ours. I announced that as the greatest starting five in.
- 25:12Speaker 3: The history of the NBA.
- 25:15Speaker 8: You know a name I haven't thought of in the
- 25:16Speaker 8: last like probably two decades, Michael Peatrice.
- 25:20Speaker 3: Oh wow, what a player?
- 25:22Speaker 4: Why would you?
- 25:23Speaker 8: Yeah, but I just thought of Michael Peachris and that
- 25:25Speaker 8: name just made me smile.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:26Speaker 3: Vince Carter was on the late version of those Magic teams.
- 25:29Speaker 3: That was That was fun. So I'm not crazy here, right,
- 25:34Speaker 3: because I've been writing down all the names. We keep
- 25:36Speaker 3: saying Carmelo Anthony, but nobody's taken Carmelo Anthony yet, right.
- 25:40Speaker 1: Going to have to take Carmelo Anthony. Yes, there's nobody better. Yes,
- 25:44Speaker 1: what I was just like stumbling around and saying names.
- 25:46Speaker 1: I was trying to remind you guys of some of
- 25:48Speaker 1: the players. I was trying to be a helpful teammate,
- 25:50Speaker 1: that's all.
- 25:51Speaker 8: There's almost a negative connotation that goes with Carmelo Anthony's name,
- 25:55Speaker 8: probably unfairly, but definitely unfairly.
- 25:58Speaker 3: I mean, come on, like he didn't have the the
- 26:00Speaker 3: right teammates in Denver. Maybe he didn't have the right
- 26:02Speaker 3: style of play in New York maybe, but that dude
- 26:05Speaker 3: was a bucket.
- 26:06Speaker 1: I mean, Mikey is sending us proof now that he
- 26:08Speaker 1: was right about Steve Nash.
- 26:09Speaker 4: I don't know what the no.
- 26:10Speaker 6: I'm sending you what I read.
- 26:11Speaker 4: Okay, that's why I did it. Well, where'd you read it?
- 26:14Speaker 4: I mean.
- 26:16Speaker 6: It doesn't matter.
- 26:19Speaker 8: Chat GPT Okay, okay, So I have back to back
- 26:24Speaker 8: picks here to end it for you. Yes, for me,
- 26:29Speaker 8: I'm gonna go now. He took a lesser role when
- 26:32Speaker 8: he joined Lebron.
- 26:33Speaker 3: Doesn't matter in this game.
- 26:35Speaker 8: But I'm gonna take Chris Bosh.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Okay, all right, it's a great one, great value.
- 26:40Speaker 8: Thank you. I was feeling a little self conscious about that.
- 26:42Speaker 8: You picking for being honest?
- 26:44Speaker 1: Well you, I mean, Bosh should certainly be in this conversation.
- 26:46Speaker 4: Of course, he's a Hall of Famer.
- 26:48Speaker 8: He should have had a longer peak as the guy
- 26:50Speaker 8: if he doesn't join that Miami team, oh for sure.
- 26:53Speaker 1: But he had a pretty good peek in Toronto and
- 26:54Speaker 1: being very shy.
- 26:55Speaker 4: Yes.
- 26:56Speaker 8: So then my final pick in the fourth round, I'm
- 26:59Speaker 8: going to go with the finals MVP. One of his
- 27:03Speaker 8: teammates now in Philadelphia, Jalen Brown.
- 27:07Speaker 4: Pretty good.
- 27:08Speaker 3: Interesting, you left two guys for me that I'm having
- 27:10Speaker 3: a hard time picking between. One is a defensive stalwart
- 27:15Speaker 3: and the other one was just a stats guy before
- 27:19Speaker 3: he joined Lebron. I'm gonna say both names because I
- 27:22Speaker 3: don't have another pick. It's either Kevin Love or Ben Wallace.
- 27:26Speaker 3: Ben Wallace, how many do you.
- 27:27Speaker 6: Was hoping to Ben Wallace? Actually?
- 27:29Speaker 3: How many do you have?
- 27:30Speaker 5: That?
- 27:31Speaker 8: As a fan?
- 27:32Speaker 9: I enjoy that you felt.
- 27:36Speaker 3: The USA.
- 27:38Speaker 8: Yeah, but.
- 27:42Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm gonna go with the Sate. Well, no, he
- 27:44Speaker 3: wasn't a great offensive player, so maybe I gotta go
- 27:47Speaker 3: with Kevin.
- 27:47Speaker 11: Love here.
- 27:51Speaker 3: In terms of impact for a championship team. Did Kevin
- 27:55Speaker 3: Love have a better impact? But it doesn't matter. It
- 27:56Speaker 3: wasn't his peak. It was you know what I'm taking
- 27:58Speaker 3: Ben Wallace? Sorry?
- 28:00Speaker 4: Love?
- 28:01Speaker 3: Four time dpoy, Yeah, four time depot. You can't You
- 28:04Speaker 3: can't argue with that, dude, Kevin Love yours.
- 28:08Speaker 4: I don't want Kevin Love.
- 28:12Speaker 1: Listen, When you have a star of Lebron James's magnitude
- 28:18Speaker 1: and then you could bind them with Dwayne Wade and
- 28:20Speaker 1: Anthony Davis White Howard.
- 28:22Speaker 4: All of the peak of their powers.
- 28:25Speaker 1: You need someone to do the dirty work to do
- 28:28Speaker 1: the little things. And if God forbid, someone picks a
- 28:32Speaker 1: fight with any of those four, you need someone there
- 28:34Speaker 1: to protect them. So therefore I am going to take
- 28:41Speaker 1: you Donnas haslm That is a great pick. I guarantee you.
- 28:46Speaker 1: Lebron would put you Donnis Haslam on his Mount Rushmore.
- 28:49Speaker 4: Of former teammates, I can guarantee it.
- 28:52Speaker 3: Dwayne Wade would fear so.
- 28:54Speaker 8: I don't know if you'll win this, but right now
- 28:56Speaker 8: your Mount Rushmore leads the league in culture.
- 28:59Speaker 1: Yeah, but yes, I have Wade, Anthony Davis, Dwight Howard, you,
- 29:03Speaker 1: Donnis Haslow.
- 29:04Speaker 3: You did that is good?
- 29:06Speaker 6: Proud of myself.
- 29:07Speaker 4: Anyway, who's up? Mike?
- 29:09Speaker 1: Mike?
- 29:13Speaker 3: Names that were left off for Jon Rondo?
- 29:17Speaker 6: That pretty good?
- 29:18Speaker 3: Peak? Big z is Adrena philos peak? Did you play
- 29:24Speaker 3: with Sean?
- 29:26Speaker 4: Peak? Wasn't good enough?
- 29:27Speaker 1: Otherwise Lebron would have stayed there.
- 29:28Speaker 9: I feel like there's one missing. If I may weigh
- 29:32Speaker 9: in one that one? Where's g R. Smith?
- 29:37Speaker 3: Come on?
- 29:38Speaker 9: I will not come on.
- 29:40Speaker 6: You, No, you come on, No, you come on.
- 29:44Speaker 4: I will not come on.
- 29:45Speaker 8: If we're talking peaks. Isaiah Thomas would probably like a word,
- 29:51Speaker 8: but it was such a short one. Yeah, yeah, but
- 29:52Speaker 8: that I just looked up to see if Lebron and
- 29:55Speaker 8: Jeremy Lynn werever teammates, right, because peak for peak Jeremy insanity.
- 30:01Speaker 8: They were never teammates, though Mikey almost drafted it.
- 30:03Speaker 3: Mikey, my favorite thing in the world these days is
- 30:05Speaker 3: correcting chat GPT because after you mentioned that, I was like,
- 30:08Speaker 3: you know what, let me put the list together, and
- 30:09Speaker 3: they put Andrew Wiggins on the list, and I said,
- 30:11Speaker 3: Wiggins famously has never played with Lebron, Like, oh, you
- 30:14Speaker 3: know you're You're right?
- 30:15Speaker 4: My bad? Really?
- 30:16Speaker 6: Yeah, there were two.
- 30:17Speaker 5: Or three more names on the list that I double
- 30:19Speaker 5: checks before I said after that, blunder Man, you're scored.
- 30:22Speaker 3: Huh Oh, this is a tough one for Chris.
- 30:26Speaker 1: Maybe it's not yeah, maybe it's not all right, Chris
- 30:29Speaker 1: who was this week's winner?
- 30:30Speaker 4: Here?
- 30:31Speaker 3: Oh man, a recap we can give you.
- 30:32Speaker 10: No, I've got the I've got it all written down
- 30:34Speaker 10: here about three two one we need. I got to
- 30:38Speaker 10: rank these, so okay, let's see here. So just first
- 30:41Speaker 10: blush as I look through this. Stu Gotts absolutely has
- 30:43Speaker 10: the biggest lineup. He's got two centers here, just rolling.
- 30:48Speaker 4: Out his NBA. Yes, is he is?
- 30:50Speaker 10: He has a lineup that is uh a lot of
- 30:53Speaker 10: TBD as far as what we'll see in in Philadelphia.
- 30:56Speaker 10: But I really like the potential that this is the
- 30:58Speaker 10: potential lineup for Izzy with him Don Jalen.
- 31:01Speaker 3: Brown, and it's like this, No, no, I've got Carmelo, Yeah,
- 31:08Speaker 3: is he is?
- 31:08Speaker 8: And b Luca Carmelo, Ben Wallace. I'm yes, I'm Derrick Rose,
- 31:14Speaker 8: Russell Westbrook, Chris Bosh, Jaylen Brown.
- 31:17Speaker 9: Okay, so I accidentally put Jalen Brown in the wrong spots.
- 31:19Speaker 9: Let me change that here, real problem. And you said
- 31:21Speaker 9: Ben Wallace for Izzy?
- 31:23Speaker 3: Okay, fur time Defensive Player of the Year.
- 31:26Speaker 1: I know, I know.
- 31:27Speaker 4: Taylor fantastic shift is his entire order.
- 31:31Speaker 9: Taylor, I man, this is this is This is guys
- 31:35Speaker 9: who like.
- 31:36Speaker 6: I think.
- 31:38Speaker 10: It's hard to put anything above the shack stuff, but
- 31:40Speaker 10: I think Taylor has number one between Rose, Westbrook, Bosh,
- 31:44Speaker 10: Jalen Brown. I know we don't do not give enough
- 31:46Speaker 10: respect to west to Westbrook in that career and Bosh
- 31:49Speaker 10: just I think there were points with the heat you
- 31:52Speaker 10: forgot just how good of a shooter Bosh was.
- 31:55Speaker 9: So I'm gonna go, well, I just did, yes, exactly exactly.
- 32:02Speaker 4: I did just tell him thank you.
- 32:04Speaker 6: No, You're welcome, You're welcome.
- 32:07Speaker 10: Okay, Okay, Taylor repeat, Yeah, Taylor's Taylor's I'm going to
- 32:11Speaker 10: say number one.
- 32:12Speaker 4: Yes, I mean, I don't care about at.
- 32:16Speaker 10: About Taylor's number one. I'm gonna take easy at number two.
- 32:20Speaker 4: Mikey, I.
- 32:23Speaker 10: Know, and Stu Gotts. I I don't want to put
- 32:25Speaker 10: Steve Gotts at four because I love the idea of
- 32:27Speaker 10: just like this is this is this is like the Twins,
- 32:30Speaker 10: the Twins, Colossus of Rhodes or something out here.
- 32:33Speaker 8: It intrigues me.
- 32:34Speaker 9: It's it compels me. It doesn't make sense, but it
- 32:37Speaker 9: compels Meya.
- 32:38Speaker 3: Well, he's got the only guy on the on the
- 32:39Speaker 3: whole list that never made an off Star team, so
- 32:41Speaker 3: I think I would think he deserves for I wish
- 32:44Speaker 3: I chose ep Jason, you chose a Birdman or something.
- 32:48Speaker 3: I also don't think if Chris truly understood the rules,
- 32:51Speaker 3: because he said it's a potential lineup with Dad, it's
- 32:54Speaker 3: like no, no, m v P m B. It is
- 32:56Speaker 3: all we need to think about.
- 32:57Speaker 9: No, no, no, no.
- 32:57Speaker 10: I I know, I think guy was just thrown off
- 33:00Speaker 10: by the Jalen Brown thinking you had Jalen Brown, no,
- 33:03Speaker 10: yours yours year's is very Jaylen Brown wonted for me.
- 33:07Speaker 1: Right, you know the judge error should have known when
- 33:09Speaker 1: I asked you where you went to college?
- 33:10Speaker 6: I mean, she's no. That was awesome. When is Dan byerback?
- 33:15Speaker 4: Great job?
- 33:18Speaker 9: We'll see when the when the nymph calypso lets him go?
- 33:21Speaker 4: Listen, tell me offline who finished him?
- 33:23Speaker 6: Fourth.
- 33:25Speaker 2: Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Godson Company
- 33:29Speaker 2: Live Weekday said three pm Eastern twelve pm Pacific.
- 33:35Speaker 1: Weeken observations coming up in about fifteen minutes. We will
- 33:39Speaker 1: get to what Jason Tatum had to say, although is
- 33:42Speaker 1: he's going to have to tell us what he said
- 33:43Speaker 1: because I was saying during the break said this is.
- 33:45Speaker 4: Not good audio for radio.
- 33:46Speaker 3: Yeah. He What Jason Tatum said was at like a camp,
- 33:50Speaker 3: you know, a basketball camp. It was pretty echoe. So
- 33:53Speaker 3: I can tell you.
- 33:54Speaker 1: What'd you guys make of what Charles Barkley said. I
- 33:56Speaker 1: said it before Barkley did. I mean, that's what sports
- 33:58Speaker 1: radio was all about. But Barkley took it to another level.
- 34:02Speaker 1: He said that if Lebron wins two NBA titles two
- 34:06Speaker 1: to get him to six, okay, which ties Michael Jordan,
- 34:10Speaker 1: even though in my personal record book he has eight.
- 34:13Speaker 1: But if he gets to six, Charles Barkley is ready
- 34:16Speaker 1: to announce that Lebron, if he gets to six, that
- 34:20Speaker 1: Lebron James would be considered the NBA's all time greatest
- 34:25Speaker 1: player ahead of Michael Jordan.
- 34:28Speaker 4: How about that he.
- 34:29Speaker 3: Needs him to win two more yes for him to
- 34:32Speaker 3: make that leap.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Now, I say it's ridiculous because Jordan went to the
- 34:36Speaker 1: NBA Finals six times, eight times really in my personal
- 34:38Speaker 1: record book, and won it every single time he was there. Lebron,
- 34:42Speaker 1: while getting to a sixth title, still has plenty of
- 34:45Speaker 1: losses in the NBA finals. Michael never lost in the
- 34:49Speaker 1: NBA Finals. When Michael got to a championship round or
- 34:53Speaker 1: got to a championship game in college, he was winning
- 34:56Speaker 1: that game.
- 34:56Speaker 4: Period.
- 34:57Speaker 8: Yeah, Lebron would have been better off getting swept in
- 35:00Speaker 8: the first round right by the Boston Celtics, right in
- 35:03Speaker 8: five games, in five game series.
- 35:06Speaker 3: It is it is hilarious that people have to go
- 35:08Speaker 3: there because then my personal record book, you come back
- 35:11Speaker 3: down from three to one against the best NBA team
- 35:13Speaker 3: ever assembled, it counts as four championships, so there.
- 35:16Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 35:16Speaker 1: Well, listen, Michael won eight. I know every the record
- 35:20Speaker 1: book says six. He took two years off. Elijah won
- 35:23Speaker 1: never should have won those titles. He only waned because
- 35:26Speaker 1: Michael took off. Had Michael been playing, you win a
- 35:29Speaker 1: title when the best player to ever play the game
- 35:32Speaker 1: of basketball is taking a year or two off. It
- 35:35Speaker 1: doesn't count as a title on my personal record book.
- 35:38Speaker 4: It just does it.
- 35:39Speaker 1: But Lebron getting the six and equalling Michael Jordan, for me,
- 35:43Speaker 1: does not make Lebron the greatest player of all time.
- 35:45Speaker 1: It's okay being the second or third best player that
- 35:47Speaker 1: I've ever seen.
- 35:48Speaker 4: Michael is the greatest of all time.
- 35:50Speaker 3: I mean, what you're doing is reading the headline of
- 35:52Speaker 3: a resume and not reading the actual resume. Lebron has
- 35:56Speaker 3: just has a better resume in general.
- 35:58Speaker 4: Right, Well, you put your good stuff at the top
- 35:59Speaker 4: of the red.
- 36:00Speaker 3: It's a lot of good stuff for Lebron too.
- 36:02Speaker 1: Yeah, for the reason, you put your best stuff at
- 36:04Speaker 1: the top of the resume so I don't have to
- 36:05Speaker 1: scroll down and read about all.
- 36:06Speaker 3: The crap you did you know, Yeah, yes, you know.
- 36:09Speaker 8: I do not understand what people are doing with Lebron
- 36:12Speaker 8: James and the Philadelphia seventy six ers in terms of
- 36:14Speaker 8: saying if Lebron wins back to back titles, like, can
- 36:18Speaker 8: this team just get to a finals for before we
- 36:21Speaker 8: start talking about them winning back to back titles. I
- 36:24Speaker 8: know I'm asking for a lot sports media to have
- 36:26Speaker 8: some perspective and not jump the gun, But do we
- 36:30Speaker 8: really have to come out today and say where would
- 36:33Speaker 8: Lebron be if he gets to six titles? When he's
- 36:35Speaker 8: very far away from that and we're at least two
- 36:38Speaker 8: years away from even having that conversation.
- 36:41Speaker 1: You're criticizing Charles Barkley just so you know, I don't
- 36:43Speaker 1: blame him.
- 36:44Speaker 4: That's what we do in the media.
- 36:45Speaker 1: That's how we advance the conversation because we're lazy and stupid.
- 36:49Speaker 4: Not Charles, me, all of us. But that's what you do.
- 36:52Speaker 1: If he gets to six is he as good as
- 36:55Speaker 1: Michael Jordan?
- 36:56Speaker 4: I'm just giving you the answer, and the answer is.
- 36:58Speaker 3: No, No, he's better. He doesn't need, he doesn't need
- 37:03Speaker 3: these next two years of his career. If Lebron said,
- 37:05Speaker 3: you know what, I'd changed my mind. I'm out. He's
- 37:08Speaker 3: still got the resume that's just better and then you know,
- 37:11Speaker 3: look at the footage side by side. Some of my
- 37:12Speaker 3: favorite things to do is watch the videos that show
- 37:15Speaker 3: Michael Jordan's greatest plays, which are just regular plays for
- 37:18Speaker 3: Lebron James.
- 37:20Speaker 8: Now in the in the topic of takes, Yes, one
- 37:22Speaker 8: of my favorite takes from the past weekend was Bill Simmons.
- 37:25Speaker 8: Because Bill Simmons doesn't really give takes, he asked the
- 37:29Speaker 8: host almost a form of a question right to imply
- 37:33Speaker 8: what his take actually is.
- 37:34Speaker 4: Yes, do you want to say the disclaimer on the
- 37:36Speaker 4: front end?
- 37:36Speaker 8: Love Bill Simmons? I want to go I love Bill Simmons. Yeah,
- 37:42Speaker 8: I'm a sports guy. I'm a page to you guy.
- 37:45Speaker 8: Bill Simmons. Though, when talking to uh Zach Low about
- 37:50Speaker 8: about this Jay, about this Lebron signing, he said, what
- 37:54Speaker 8: are the chances Jalen Brown gets traded before October? And
- 38:00Speaker 8: I was like, Wow, that's a conversation I'll have.
- 38:04Speaker 3: That's a great take from Bill. If I'm Jalen Brown,
- 38:06Speaker 3: I'm considering that. I'm saying, Look, if this doesn't go
- 38:08Speaker 3: my way by let's say December, let's start looking elsewhere
- 38:11Speaker 3: and seeing if they can move me. Because I don't
- 38:13Speaker 3: really want to be the fourth Beatle.
- 38:15Speaker 1: I mean, Jalen Brown is sitting on a team that
- 38:17Speaker 1: has a chance of winning multiple championships.
- 38:20Speaker 4: This is what he wanted.
- 38:20Speaker 1: Now, I know he's not going to get the credit
- 38:22Speaker 1: for it. All that credit's going to go to Lebron James.
- 38:25Speaker 1: But he's out of Boston and he's no longer playing
- 38:27Speaker 1: with Jason Tatum. That organization chose Jason Tatum over Jalen Brown, and.
- 38:32Speaker 4: He should be happy they got he recruited him.
- 38:34Speaker 3: He did, Yeah, I mean, I'm interested in what that's
- 38:36Speaker 3: going to look like with Jason Tatum as your leader.
- 38:38Speaker 3: So we can get to the Jason Tatum non sound
- 38:40Speaker 3: right now, because it was pretty obvious that he was
- 38:43Speaker 3: taking a shot at his boy, Jalen Brown, his ex teammate,
- 38:46Speaker 3: Jalen Brown. He's talking to these campers basically about leadership, right,
- 38:50Speaker 3: and he says leadership isn't about and then he was
- 38:53Speaker 3: trying to find a different way to say what he
- 38:56Speaker 3: eventually said. He said, you don't want to be the
- 38:59Speaker 3: smartest guy in the room. You can't act like you're
- 39:01Speaker 3: the smartest guy in the room. And it just made
- 39:05Speaker 3: me realize how I think I have a theory on
- 39:07Speaker 3: Jason Tatum's like an android. He's not like a human
- 39:10Speaker 3: being because all he does is copy other human beings
- 39:13Speaker 3: words and actions. Like he has famously done this in
- 39:16Speaker 3: his celebrations where he I believe it was Steph Curry, right,
- 39:20Speaker 3: it was Steph Curry where he said what are they
- 39:22Speaker 3: gonna say now? After he won a championship and what
- 39:24Speaker 3: did Jason Tatum do? Twice on the court and then
- 39:27Speaker 3: in the locker room? What are they gonna say now?
- 39:29Speaker 3: He also went with the Kanye West line. He's like,
- 39:32Speaker 3: people always wonder what it's like if I didn't make it. Well,
- 39:35Speaker 3: I guess we'll never know, And he used the exact
- 39:37Speaker 3: same line in a championship celebration on that he did
- 39:40Speaker 3: the Kobe pose after he won his first championship, and
- 39:43Speaker 3: it's just like, Jason, what have you done? That's yours? Like,
- 39:46Speaker 3: what have you done? That's your own words? Really, and
- 39:49Speaker 3: this one he couldn't think of another way to say
- 39:51Speaker 3: what everybody was saying about Jalen Brown that he thinks
- 39:55Speaker 3: he's the smartest guy in the room. So not only
- 39:57Speaker 3: are you not, I guess clever enough to come up
- 40:00Speaker 3: with a different way to say that, so it doesn't
- 40:01Speaker 3: make it look like you're talking about Jalen Brown. But
- 40:04Speaker 3: now you're using the exact words that everybody else used
- 40:08Speaker 3: about Jalen Brown. So, Jason Tatum, you are probably a
- 40:12Speaker 3: bad leader if you can't even do that. If you
- 40:14Speaker 3: can't discuss this topic without taking down your ex teammate
- 40:17Speaker 3: in front of a bunch of campers, it's bad leadership
- 40:21Speaker 3: right then and there. It's just kind of ridiculous that
- 40:24Speaker 3: if he doesn't want it to look like it's taken
- 40:25Speaker 3: a shot at Jalen Brown, and he uses the exact
- 40:28Speaker 3: same words that the rest of the world used about
- 40:30Speaker 3: Jalen Brown, It's just ridiculous. It also shows a guy
- 40:33Speaker 3: with probably a very fragile ego. Because I don't have
- 40:37Speaker 3: a problem with somebody else who thinks they're the smartest
- 40:39Speaker 3: person in the room. I recognize it for what it is,
- 40:41Speaker 3: and you just navigate around that. Or maybe that person
- 40:44Speaker 3: is just a better leader, and maybe you didn't want
- 40:46Speaker 3: people to recognize that, and so it's just you have
- 40:49Speaker 3: an issue with that. It bothers me that Jason Tatum's
- 40:52Speaker 3: never been his own guy. Yeah, and yet here he
- 40:54Speaker 3: is telling everybody else that Jalen Brown was the wrong
- 40:57Speaker 3: type of leader for him.
- 40:58Speaker 4: It's also lazy. The kids deserve bad I mean they do.
- 41:01Speaker 1: They deserve some original thoughts, some original ideas, some original words,
- 41:04Speaker 1: not stolen words, not words taken from somebody else and
- 41:07Speaker 1: applying them to the kids.
- 41:08Speaker 4: Have some thought.
- 41:09Speaker 1: Yeah that you know, you had the entire playoff to
- 41:11Speaker 1: think about what you would say if you want an
- 41:13Speaker 1: NBA championship and you couldn't come up with your own thoughts,
- 41:16Speaker 1: and you had lord knows how much time to prepare
- 41:18Speaker 1: something for these kids better than what you delivered.
- 41:21Speaker 4: And the kids deserve better. That is my thought.
- 41:23Speaker 3: He even almost copied Kevin Durant anything as possible, except
- 41:27Speaker 3: he couldn't think of anything better.
- 41:28Speaker 4: He just went with we did it. It's like, come on, dude, right,
- 41:33Speaker 4: It's just so.
- 41:34Speaker 3: It bothers me, It really bothers me, and it makes
- 41:36Speaker 3: me think that this season in Boston not gonna go great. Also,
- 41:40Speaker 3: telling a bunch of kids who are just trying to
- 41:42Speaker 3: figure their lives out that you don't want to be
- 41:44Speaker 3: the smartest person in the room.
- 41:45Speaker 4: Terrible advice. Terrible advice.
- 41:47Speaker 3: I always want to be the smartest person in the room,
- 41:48Speaker 3: even if I don't act that way.
- 41:49Speaker 1: I hate the smartest person in the room. I hate
- 41:51Speaker 1: the person who acts like they're the smartest person in
- 41:53Speaker 1: the room. That's why I act the way I act.
- 41:58Speaker 3: You want to hear my song again?
- 41:59Speaker 4: I mean I do.
- 42:00Speaker 1: I was actually humming it in the hallways here throughout Higheart
- 42:06Speaker 1: and people were staring at me.
- 42:08Speaker 4: This is Israel Gooty arrass song.
- 42:10Speaker 11: His inspiration was Golf a million agrio started off aggressively
- 42:16Speaker 11: but couldn't catch a single break at three and in
- 42:18Speaker 11: the Twin Cities, you saw what Scottie Cheffler did. He
- 42:21Speaker 11: pressed the kid effectively. They both were on the hunt.
- 42:25Speaker 11: But Jackson Covin is a prodigy.
- 42:27Speaker 4: Where's kid?
- 42:28Speaker 3: Maybe the new Tiger?
- 42:30Speaker 12: He's from my burnt Baby on the green It looks
- 42:35Speaker 12: oeazy lately, biggest round and not a single bogie hits
- 42:41Speaker 12: the big stick, deep deep, crazy and been a pro
- 42:46Speaker 12: for like three weeks. Maybe matsu Yama couldn't.
- 42:50Speaker 6: Scare him baby?
- 42:52Speaker 3: Could he be like a golf Tom Brady? That's self
- 42:57Speaker 3: auto tune right there.
- 43:00Speaker 6: To the song.
- 43:00Speaker 3: It's a lot of auto tude.
- 43:01Speaker 1: Why are you feeling the need to explain your song.
- 43:04Speaker 4: Defend your song?
- 43:06Speaker 3: What is happening with you just explaining it's the first
- 43:08Speaker 3: one I've done, and I don't know long.
- 43:10Speaker 1: Long, long, long, I know, but you went outside of
- 43:12Speaker 1: your comfort zone. None of us are good singers around
- 43:14Speaker 1: here except for Taylor. You don't need to defend it,
- 43:21Speaker 1: explain it. You did something extra for the show, and
- 43:24Speaker 1: we're all sitting around enjoying it, and we feel like
- 43:27Speaker 1: you don't think you.
- 43:28Speaker 4: Did a good job.
- 43:29Speaker 3: Oh no, I think I did a good job. That's
- 43:30Speaker 3: what I'm saying. It's just, you know, it didn't have
- 43:32Speaker 3: the access to the auto tune, so I did it
- 43:34Speaker 3: as good as I can. I think even Francisco Riccardo
- 43:37Speaker 3: was quite impressed. That's asked her question. I swear Riccardo
- 43:40Speaker 3: ever since he called you Enrique. It just throws me
- 43:43Speaker 3: off wall.
- 43:43Speaker 1: You can't blame me for you calling him Francisco because
- 43:47Speaker 1: I called him Enrique once.
- 43:50Speaker 3: I think that makes us both racist.
- 43:53Speaker 8: So Jackson Coyven won the equivalent to golf's Heisman Trophy,
- 43:57Speaker 8: the Haskins Award. Yeah he wanted twenty six, twenty four.
- 44:01Speaker 8: And when you're looking at the list of guys who
- 44:03Speaker 8: have won it in recent years. Ye, kind of a
- 44:06Speaker 8: banger of a list. Ludwig Oberg.
- 44:08Speaker 1: Wait, so you're saying winning this award will probably lead
- 44:11Speaker 1: to a very good, if not great, PGA career.
- 44:13Speaker 8: Yes, twenty twenty three, Texas Tech lud Ludwig Obert.
- 44:17Speaker 1: Still waiting on him to win a major. It should
- 44:20Speaker 1: be a Berg. It's Obert.
- 44:21Speaker 3: I know it's got a big instead of the Heisman.
- 44:24Speaker 1: Yes, right, yes, the Heisman winners are not going to
- 44:27Speaker 1: be good in the NFL. But the winner of this Heisman,
- 44:29Speaker 1: the Hacket, I think it's called, Yeah, the Haskins Hacket whatever,

- 45:01Speaker 8: Dude, the answer to what happened to this golfer is
- 45:04Speaker 8: normally the lift golfer. They're just on the golf tour.

- 45:22Speaker 3: I think he want enough, not my favorite human.
- 45:25Speaker 4: I think he want a master's in a US Open.

- 46:11Speaker 1: I mean, you do right?

- 46:15Speaker 4: Yes, yes, I have unearned confidence. I do. It's weird.
- 46:19Speaker 1: Anyway, Let's get to our baseball list here. We did
- 46:22Speaker 1: not do this on Friday. We were doing the polls.
- 46:25Speaker 1: So let's get back to the one hundred Greatest dot com.
- 46:27Speaker 1: This is the top one hundred baseball players to ever
- 46:30Speaker 1: play the game of baseball, according to a guy named Jake.
- 46:33Speaker 4: Well, I'm still waiting for us to get on the show.
- 46:36Speaker 8: It's like trying to go to Area fifty one trying
- 46:39Speaker 8: to track down the rill.
- 46:40Speaker 1: What's up with this, Jake? I mean, does he want
- 46:42Speaker 1: the promotion or not? I guess we're giving it to
- 46:44Speaker 1: him and he doesn't have to come on the show.
- 46:46Speaker 1: There you go anyway, Mikey where we leave off. I
- 46:48Speaker 1: think it was number seventy nine.
- 46:49Speaker 4: Is that yeah? Is that accurate?
- 46:51Speaker 5: The last one we read was number eighty and it
- 46:53Speaker 5: was Roberto Clemente, So we're up to number seventy nine.
- 46:56Speaker 4: I mean, this guy, I don't want him on the show.
- 46:58Speaker 4: If Clemente is.
- 46:59Speaker 1: The eightieth greatest baseball player of all time, I have
- 47:02Speaker 1: to question everything about Jack Well.
- 47:03Speaker 3: He did famously die before he could have the rest
- 47:05Speaker 3: of his career, so it's tough to judge.
- 47:08Speaker 13: All Right, who we have, Mikey Number seventy nine? Al Kline,
- 47:12Speaker 13: Oh oh, I know that named Detroit Tiger, right, yeah? Wow,
- 47:16Speaker 13: look at you. First baseman, first baseman. Yes, I believe
- 47:20Speaker 13: fielder really close. He didn't play first base at all.
- 47:23Speaker 3: Huh.
- 47:24Speaker 6: I don't know. It just says outfielder next to him.
- 47:26Speaker 3: If it takes two steps backwards, he's in the outfield.
- 47:28Speaker 4: Yes, okay, technically right, he's close to it.
- 47:31Speaker 1: Great hitter, though I'm not certain he's better than Roberto Clemente.
- 47:34Speaker 1: I'm not certain he's better than Ernie Banks, but it's
- 47:37Speaker 1: not my list.
- 47:37Speaker 8: So this is a Bryce Harper situation where he transitioned
- 47:40Speaker 8: to playing some first base later in his twenty two
- 47:43Speaker 8: year career.
- 47:43Speaker 3: That's where I remember him.
- 47:44Speaker 4: Yes, and what were those years that he played? Where
- 47:47Speaker 4: is he remembers him?
- 47:48Speaker 8: Do we know the end of his career?
- 47:50Speaker 6: It was fifty three to seventy four?
- 47:52Speaker 4: Right, Yes, your real house number seventy eight, Mikey.
- 47:59Speaker 6: Number seventy eight. Johan Santana.
- 48:01Speaker 4: Wow?
- 48:03Speaker 1: Really ahead of mister cub ahead of al Ka Line,
- 48:06Speaker 1: ahead of Roberto Clemente.
- 48:09Speaker 5: I will say this for Jake h Five names on
- 48:12Speaker 5: this list have a little link next to the name
- 48:15Speaker 5: where it says why, and you can click it, and
- 48:18Speaker 5: he gives all his reasons, and Johan Santana's the first one,
- 48:21Speaker 5: and I couldn't disagree with him more.
- 48:23Speaker 3: That's how you know you got a controversial pick. If
- 48:25Speaker 3: he's got the link next to explain it.
- 48:27Speaker 4: Okay, so right when you need to explain it.
- 48:29Speaker 1: That's smart by Jake. So you read all his reasons
- 48:31Speaker 1: and you still disagree.
- 48:33Speaker 6: Sure, that's a.
- 48:35Speaker 8: Two time cy Young winner, had a Triple Crown pitching
- 48:38Speaker 8: and pitched a no hitter.
- 48:39Speaker 3: Yeah, led the league in R time.
- 48:42Speaker 4: He was a great picture tailor.
- 48:43Speaker 1: I'm not even saying he doesn't deserve to be on
- 48:45Speaker 1: this list. Yes, I'm just saying he's not better than
- 48:48Speaker 1: al Kline, Roberto Clemente or any bank.
- 48:50Speaker 3: No, he led the league in war three straight years.
- 48:53Speaker 8: P for peak. He could go up there with anybody.
- 48:55Speaker 3: Peak for peak, I g sure, peak for peak.
- 48:58Speaker 6: Yeah. Great.
- 48:59Speaker 1: Number seven twenty seven, first bat in Hall of Fame,
- 49:02Speaker 1: by the way, I mean I'll tell you that much
- 49:03Speaker 1: right now.
- 49:04Speaker 4: Yes, Eddie Matthews.
- 49:05Speaker 1: Huh, all right, I mean it's Eddie Matthews. Just say it,
- 49:11Speaker 1: move on. I got nothing to say about that guy.
- 49:13Speaker 1: Five hundred homers.
- 49:14Speaker 4: I believe that's it a little bit right.
- 49:16Speaker 5: Number seventy six, Yes, Whitey Ford a little before your time.
- 49:22Speaker 3: White Did you put a Whitey at seventy six for
- 49:24Speaker 3: a reason?
- 49:25Speaker 10: Uh?
- 49:25Speaker 3: My mind, it's too deep.
- 49:29Speaker 4: It begs an explanation. I mean, I mean, you know.
- 49:32Speaker 3: We were born in seventy six this country.
- 49:34Speaker 8: Never mind, that's just gone.
- 49:37Speaker 1: How do you feel about Whitey Ford? There, Taylor, it
- 49:40Speaker 1: should be top five.
- 49:41Speaker 8: I think is a better picture than twenty four.
- 49:45Speaker 1: I put it on the pole. Better picture Johan Santana
- 49:48Speaker 1: or Whitey Ford?
- 49:49Speaker 6: Oh wow?
- 49:51Speaker 4: Yes, there were a lot of whities in MLB. Yes,
- 49:55Speaker 4: in every generation.
- 49:57Speaker 3: Yep, that's all. Yeah, No, that's it. I mean I
- 50:00Speaker 3: name him for you if you want.
- 50:01Speaker 4: I mean he is just lobbing. Yea.
- 50:08Speaker 1: Next one, Mikey. I forgot what number on because he's
- 50:10Speaker 1: making me uncomfortable.
- 50:12Speaker 6: Number seventy five friend to Taylor and Tahoe.
- 50:17Speaker 3: Gary Sheffield really top seventy five for our.
- 50:21Speaker 4: Boy, Yes he should be.

- 50:41Speaker 3: we got to put order back in this thing.
- 50:42Speaker 4: Well, no, I like it. Adam Wore, Yes, yes, I
