Latest / Brett Keane and Eve Show / Rings of Power | She Hulk | Why Race Swapping Feminist Shows Fail
Transcript
- 0:05Hi there. I am your host stinky Twinkie,
- 0:08when I hope you're all having a wonderful day.
- 0:11I've been watching the rings of power and also tried out some
- 0:15she Hawk. I watched a lot of female
- 0:18oriented movies lately and they all seem to have this pattern
- 0:25going on about them a pattern that makes it to where the shows
- 0:29or movies. Whatever the case might be, they
- 0:33almost fail instantly. Coming out of the box.
- 0:37And one of the reasons why is, I guess the major reason is
- 0:41because the people who make these type of movies and shows,
- 0:46they're not really concerned about the actual lure, or the
- 0:51story in which all this came from.
- 0:55They seem to be activists who are trying to push an agenda.
- 1:00They want to take something that they feel or in their purse,
- 1:04Option was male-oriented to begin with and then try to put a
- 1:09female and it's place or replace a male character with either a
- 1:16woman or someone who is of another race, they call it re
- 1:22swapping nowadays, and the reason they do this is because
- 1:27they claim that Hollywood doesn't represent people of
- 1:32color or female. Al's properly.
- 1:36And this is very disturbing to hear them say things like that
- 1:41because we can see throughout the 70s all the way through the
- 1:4690s that there's been some very awesome female superheroes.
- 1:52There's been some awesome female characters.
- 1:55I'll give you an example, Sigourney Weaver.
- 1:58She played in Ghostbusters, and she was considered a main
- 2:01character, and she had a very interesting All she also played
- 2:06in the movies, the trilogy of alien, where she takes on alien
- 2:11creatures all by herself. All of her friends and Posse,
- 2:16and up getting wiped out. Another good female movie was
- 2:22last kiss, goodnight. And a lot of your heroic movies
- 2:26where it's what they call are perceived as male oriented.
- 2:30There's always a strong female lead, if you take a look.
- 2:34At something like Rocky Balboa, Rocky.
- 2:38Wouldn't have made it through half the stuff he went through,
- 2:40if it wasn't for his wife, Adrian, remember if it wasn't
- 2:45for that, love that he had for her and her constantly, you
- 2:49know, promoting the idea to never give up and, you know, be
- 2:54who you are, be your true self and all these kind of things.
- 2:59Still owns character would have never went through any of it.
- 3:02If you watch something like Rambo, go to, you can see that
- 3:06Rambo built a relationship with a woman that he hardly even knew
- 3:10who was going through some unusual times.
- 3:13It was the first time that Rambo really opened up and because of
- 3:17this woman, it gave him a lot of encouragement.
- 3:20And she was very helpful on him getting where he needed to when
- 3:24this woman died. She had built.
- 3:27There was so much built character there that you
- 3:29actually cared about what you were seeing.
- 3:34You actually cared about Rambo and what he was doing because of
- 3:39the importance and significance of the woman.
- 3:43Now, I'll be honest with you, folks.
- 3:46I'm not one of these folks to sit around and watch read books,
- 3:50having to do with Lord of the Rings.
- 3:51I'm not like one of these super fans out here.
- 3:55Who is losing my crap over? Is this the right person for the
- 4:01role is just to write this and that That I'm a pretty much
- 4:04Common Sense. Type of guy I watch stuff based
- 4:08upon. Is it going to be entertaining
- 4:10or interesting, to me. I used to read books all the
- 4:14time, but token was never one of the things I got myself into.
- 4:18I did, however, enjoy and considered the Lord of the Rings
- 4:22trilogy epic. I even kind of like The Hobbit
- 4:27even though, I do realize there's people out there
- 4:30nowadays who have discrepancies but the The thing about Lord of
- 4:34the Rings is, I knew right off the bat what was going on in the
- 4:37story, built upon its characters.
- 4:40It basically told me why I should care about the old
- 4:44wizard, why I should care about the hobbits, why I should care
- 4:49about Aragon and what it was that their purpose throughout
- 4:53the movie was and then movies also had powerful women
- 4:58characters as well. If you remember in the Return of
- 5:02the King, there was a woman who really really wanted to step in
- 5:07the role and show that she had something, her brother got
- 5:11killed and she wanted to show the king that she could be the
- 5:15daughter of all this. But the movie showed that the
- 5:19culture was against the idea of the female being out there on
- 5:23the battlefield and doing all these things.
- 5:26But she ended up going out there anyway.
- 5:29She watched Her father died, and then she ended up taking down
- 5:33one of the biggest bad guys and the movie, this was on the third
- 5:37film. If you remember a dragon comes
- 5:40down grabs her father, basically breaks him into pieces and then
- 5:47throws his almost lifeless body on the ground.
- 5:50And she has this moment where you see her fighting and also
- 5:54protecting this little male Hobbit all at the same time and
- 5:58you really care about her. You feel like She should have
- 6:00got her opportunity, she should have got her chance and her
- 6:04father basically commends her and shows her love and respect
- 6:09at the end of the film. And I think that everybody
- 6:13appreciated that everybody cared about that because you got to
- 6:17see this woman, go through struggles and then, you know,
- 6:21fight to the death with just unbeatable odds.
- 6:25And in possibility, she does this However, whenever you watch
- 6:30rings of power, you don't feel like you're even what are you
- 6:35watching? You don't even know what the
- 6:36purpose of the point is, none of the characters are appealing,
- 6:41you don't feel like the male or the female characters have any
- 6:44really real story line. You just feel like their
- 6:47discount replacement characters. Attempting to do what?
- 6:51Lord of the Rings dead. They do a real good job of
- 6:55creating environments and making things look really beautiful.
- 6:58Beautiful. But they don't spend any time
- 7:01building Arne to this woman whatsoever.
- 7:04It's as if they expect us to already know the stories of the
- 7:07books, it's like they expect us to know this and that, but even
- 7:12if we did know the books really well from what I hear, the show
- 7:17isn't even going along with the way the actual books were it's
- 7:21as if it completely jumped off, the page of what token was
- 7:25already about, at least that's what I hear.
- 7:29But when it comes down to it for me, I don't feel like I'm
- 7:32looking at a hero. I feel like I'm watching when I
- 7:35watch this woman, I feel like I'm watching an entitled Karen,
- 7:39she's like, I'm an elf. I'm this person, I know things
- 7:43and I see things that you don't. Okay, what are you seeing?
- 7:48What are you? What do you know?
- 7:50And why do we think that your mouth running is somehow showing
- 7:55of any significance or importance that we should?
- 7:58Care about. It doesn't really tell us much
- 8:02at the beginning. It says her brother died and it
- 8:05shows a scene of Middle-earth turning dark and Orcs taking
- 8:09over it. Felt like it was going somewhere
- 8:14in the pilot but then suddenly it just turned into woman
- 8:20arguing with woman are woman dissing on the males and I just
- 8:25felt like I, this wasn't made for me.
- 8:27This was Created for me. And I thought, Lord of the Rings
- 8:30was supposed to be something that everybody could enjoy.
- 8:35Then there's She-Hulk. I'll talk more about these
- 8:40different patterns and environments.
- 8:44She Hawk is about a very snobby woman who turns into the Hulk
- 8:49due to the fact that she got David Banner or whatever you
- 8:53want to call him his blood on her.
- 8:56And then somehow she Turns into the Hulk because of this, she
- 9:01has it went through any struggles whatsoever.
- 9:04As we're when we looked at the Hulk, we know that he's been
- 9:07through loss of women that he loved, we know that he's been on
- 9:12the run because the cops are after him.
- 9:15He's a wanted man, we know that whenever he served with the
- 9:19Avengers he was beat up even though he's one of the strongest
- 9:23superheroes or is. And we basically we went through
- 9:27many many different Shows and episodes where he earned the
- 9:31title incredible hawk, where he earned the right to say, I've
- 9:36been through struggles and I'm a hero I've sacrificed.
- 9:40But what is she Hawk? Actually sacrificed.
- 9:43I seen the scene where she's talking to the incredible Hawks
- 9:47and she says, oh, you don't know about the things I've been
- 9:52through. I'm a woman and I got to deal
- 9:54with cat calling and you know, guys, flirting with me that I
- 9:58don't want flirting with me and I'm like, really, this is the
- 10:02guy who got dropped on his head by Thanos.
- 10:05This is the guy who has watched his love, be killed and taken
- 10:11from him. This is a man who's had to hide
- 10:14away from humanity and Society because of radiation damage that
- 10:19has ruined his entire life. When he was trying to do
- 10:23something good and you're whining about your fingernails
- 10:27and your makeup are you Serious. It's really hard to watch
- 10:31Seahawk. It really is because she hasn't
- 10:36earned her title. All she's done is the person who
- 10:41wrote her has admitted that they know nothing about the lore.
- 10:45The information about the character they're simply putting
- 10:48their feminist politics aren't ooh, a already grafted superhero
- 10:55and that's the reason why it seems so cookie cutter.
- 10:57That's why it doesn't seem like there's any depth because the
- 11:01Riders not added in creating an something original or building
- 11:06upon Seahawk. The writer is concerned about
- 11:10making them self She-Hulk, their own superhero who pushes their
- 11:15political agenda. That by the way, doesn't make
- 11:18any sense to begin with. It's stupid.
- 11:22The the show is just absolutely boring.
- 11:26It's boring. It's not entertaining.
- 11:28And when they attempt to be humorous, the jokes fall flat
- 11:32because the jokes always seem to be oriented or an attack our
- 11:37male toxicity or whatever the hell you want to call it.
- 11:43It's terrible. And the other problem is that
- 11:47gives you just like Lord rings of the power is doesn't tell you
- 11:52why you should care. It doesn't give you any depth or
- 11:56substance or and why it is that you should continue watching
- 12:00after all this if you follow up on the I see the problem with a
- 12:06lot of feminists as they don't understand how to build an
- 12:09actual character, they think that if they take the name and
- 12:13then replace the mail Well, with a female that acts, just like
- 12:17what they think, is a man that this is somehow going to make
- 12:20hero, being a man is not what makes the hero.
- 12:24It's the struggles. It's the accomplishments.
- 12:27It's the sacrifices when we watch the Buster Stallone as
- 12:31Rocky, we see him, get beat up over and over and over but he
- 12:34keeps getting back up. It keeps on trying.
- 12:38This is what makes a hero. This is one of the reasons why
- 12:41Van Damme of the 80s. Are you an Arnold In the
- 12:45Predator, you get to see his entire platoon wiped out.
- 12:49And he barely survives himself, not some Mary Sue character.
- 12:54That's already Opie who has all kinds of super powers and
- 12:58abilities and just can manage to do everything right off the bat,
- 13:03that's the reason why stalwarts failed.
- 13:06It's the reason why it is that whenever they replaced our Luke
- 13:11Skywalker and are many different figures, They put a woman in the
- 13:15just seem to already know everything.
- 13:18Had they made her get really beat up or lose a hand or get
- 13:23scratched and any kind of way or had some real harm come to her.
- 13:29People would have maybe cared, but they didn't because he just
- 13:35you just can't give everybody the tools and then that's it.
- 13:39You got to explain why it is that this person can do what
- 13:42they do. You have to show Show them go
- 13:45through major problems in their life and then be able to.
- 13:49There's got to be a goal, a spiritual growth, a physical
- 13:54growth, a mental growth, where you see them go from one thing
- 14:00to the point where they're able to do what they're doing, that's
- 14:04just the way it is, you can bring up any actual legendary
- 14:08hero and that's the way it's always been You can't just
- 14:12think, how can I replace this? How can I put a name on it?
- 14:16That sounds like something that it came from something
- 14:19important. You can't say, oh, there's a
- 14:22Superman. So, we have to have a super
- 14:24girl. There's a male Hawk, so we got
- 14:26to have a female Hawk. Why does there need to be a
- 14:29female Hawk? What is it about her that
- 14:32separates her? If you just going to Simply copy
- 14:36in the swap genders or race? Well, nobody really cares about
- 14:41that. That there's plenty of people
- 14:44out there whenever they see something like Superman they say
- 14:48this is what I imagine Superman to meet.
- 14:52When they look at Henry Cavill they say this is what I see
- 14:56Superman to be and why because when you watch Superman Man of
- 15:00Steel, you see a guy go through many, many struggles during
- 15:05Christopher Reeves time a Superman.
- 15:07You get to see a man who goes through a lot of struggles.
- 15:11Yes. To hide who he truly is.
- 15:14He has to really, really protect himself in order to be able to
- 15:18protect the ones you love. But you don't feel that way
- 15:22about her. She doesn't got anybody, she
- 15:25loves, he had a brother, he died.
- 15:27But we didn't get to see any real relationship build between
- 15:30them. We didn't get to find out
- 15:32anything about him or what he was actually doing.
- 15:35Why did he go into unbeatable odds?
- 15:38For why did he do it? Why is she doing it for?
- 15:42What does she really want with her life?
- 15:44Does she even care? We don't know.
- 15:49And there's of course, when the lack of action scenes and
- 15:52importance. And there's really when it comes
- 15:57down to it, there's no story. Was she hawk or rings of power?
- 16:01We don't know what's going on. We don't know why and it's just,
- 16:06it's just really bad. So that's where I'm at on it.
- 16:11I've seen plenty of female Heroes growing up and the fact
- 16:15that people nowadays are saying that people of color, or people
- 16:18of gender were not represented properly movies or television
- 16:22shows means that These people did not live on the same Planet
- 16:26as me. I've seen all that.
- 16:30I've seen women and movies and shows where they weren't even
- 16:34the main character. But because of the wisdom and
- 16:37the Insight that they had, they were able to help out the person
- 16:42that was supposed to be the lead.
- 16:45Another the example, of course, would be Adrian Rocky.
- 16:50And almost every movie where it's led by a man, there's
- 16:53always a beautiful wonderful woman behind that person who
- 16:57gives them the soul in the power to be able to do the things that
- 17:01they do. You simply can't replace someone
- 17:05and they expect people to buy the toys and the T-shirt,
- 17:08there's got to be a reason, there's got to be a point.
- 17:12And then I looked at the hobbits obviously these girl Hobbits are
- 17:17replacement of the mail Hobbits from Lord of the Rings and
- 17:21they're cruel. The hobbits and rings of Power
- 17:24are absolutely cruel. I knew something was wrong right
- 17:27off the bat, even though I never read the books.
- 17:30When I watch The Lord of the Rings, I seen these little
- 17:33Hobbits that were scared. They were terrified of their own
- 17:36shadow, but they were willing to go to hell and back.
- 17:40For The Hobbit that carried the ring, all the way to the
- 17:44mountain, but the hobbits and the rings of power their
- 17:48self-absorbed, they're selfish little hobos, who don't care
- 17:51about each other. They in fact have this little
- 17:54rule where if you you know break an ankle or you lose a limb or
- 17:59something, or you get dehydrated, they're not going to
- 18:03help you, they'll leave you behind.
- 18:05That's not the hobbits. I recall seen and I don't
- 18:08remember them ever being Is that I remember these creatures being
- 18:13pure of heart loving and caring and that they would do anything
- 18:17for their fellow man or their fellow Hobbit.
- 18:21So that's my problem with the whole thing.
- 18:24I guess I could go on more let me know on Facebook if you'd
- 18:29like to hear more about my thoughts on these things and why
- 18:32a lot of these shows are failing, why a lot of these
- 18:35reboots are crashing so it is what it is.
- 18:43You know, these I I'll say this one last thing, a reboot is the
- 18:49right word for it. A reboot is when people create
- 18:53something or they don't actually create something, they just take
- 18:57from something that already is and just try to recopy it.
- 19:03What they should be trying to do is not a reboot, but a rebuild
- 19:06where they give more to the character than what there was
- 19:09before. They give us more about why we
- 19:12should care. But that's just not the case
- 19:16that takes the Endeavor of originality, which some people
- 19:21simply don't have. Alright.
- 19:24I hope you all have a wonderful day and God bless
