- 0:00Speaker 1: Now the Mark Simone Show on seven ten woor filling
- 0:05Speaker 1: in for Mark, Here's Ken Rosato.
- 0:08Speaker 2: And welcome to Black Friday. Mark is off on a
- 0:11Speaker 2: nice long weekend. Former New York City TV news anchor
- 0:14Speaker 2: Ken Rosado reporting for duty. You'd probably best remember me
- 0:18Speaker 2: from the twenty years I was privileged to spend doing
- 0:22Speaker 2: the Morning and the Neton Show for part of those
- 0:24Speaker 2: years on Channel seven. I was at Channel five before
- 0:26Speaker 2: then Great Place Too, And these days I host a
- 0:29Speaker 2: daily show on a New Jersey based news channel called
- 0:32Speaker 2: on New Jersey. You could stream it live or watch
- 0:36Speaker 2: the reruns ATNNJ dot com. I also run a food
- 0:40Speaker 2: website for all your foodies. It is called the Food Dude,
- 0:43Speaker 2: with links to hundreds and thousands actually recipes around the world.
- 0:47Speaker 2: It's absolutely free and you can find that at Thefooddude
- 0:51Speaker 2: dot us. Good to be here with you. We got
- 0:54Speaker 2: a lot to talk about today, but being this is
- 0:56Speaker 2: the day after Thanksgiving, man, my pants are likely fitting
- 1:00Speaker 2: from all all the food I ate. I don't know
- 1:03Speaker 2: about you, gosh, why is it we only eat stuffing
- 1:07Speaker 2: and like cranberry sauce on Thanksgiving or even turkey for
- 1:10Speaker 2: that matter. This stuff is good. Yeah, but then you
- 1:12Speaker 2: get tired of it after like a few days of
- 1:14Speaker 2: eating leftovers of it, and then you just wait till
- 1:16Speaker 2: next year. Anyway, where are you going shopping today? Where
- 1:20Speaker 2: you finding the hot bargains? What's a hot deal you
- 1:22Speaker 2: could share? We want to know. The phone lines are open.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Give us a call, take part in the conversation. One
- 1:28Speaker 2: eight hundred three two one zero seven ten. One eight
- 1:32Speaker 2: hundred three to two one zero seven ten. I drove
- 1:34Speaker 2: in from Jersey this morning into our beautiful midtown Manhattan
- 1:38Speaker 2: studios and there was no traffic. Now I figured there
- 1:42Speaker 2: would be no traffic on the highways in New Jersey,
- 1:45Speaker 2: but then coming through the Lincoln Tunnel it was nothing.
- 1:48Speaker 2: And then in Manhattan. I'm sure this will change through
- 1:51Speaker 2: the day, but there was nothing. I made it probably
- 1:55Speaker 2: less time than any other time in the last year
- 1:58Speaker 2: that I've com commuted here, and I was like, doo,
- 2:01Speaker 2: do do do do?
- 2:02Speaker 3: Do?
- 2:02Speaker 2: What do I do with all this time?
- 2:03Speaker 4: Now?
- 2:04Speaker 2: Make some coffee. Let's make more coffee. Maybe a little
- 2:06Speaker 2: more coffee. So if I sound like I've had a
- 2:08Speaker 2: lot of coffee, you know why. But nonetheless, take your
- 2:11Speaker 2: phone calls. At eight hundred and three, two, one zero
- 2:14Speaker 2: seven ten. I'm wondering if Black Friday is becoming a
- 2:17Speaker 2: thing of yesteryear and everything is just morphing into Cyber Monday,
- 2:22Speaker 2: because I noticed, you know, in all the years I've
- 2:25Speaker 2: worked on Black Friday, and literally for thirty five forty years,
- 2:29Speaker 2: I've always worked on Black Friday. When driving into Channel
- 2:32Speaker 2: seven or Channel five, or when even when I worked
- 2:34Speaker 2: in Miami at CBS four down there, you would pass
- 2:38Speaker 2: the parking lots of the malls on Black Friday and
- 2:42Speaker 2: they would be packed like there was no space to
- 2:45Speaker 2: be had, even at five in the morning. Four in
- 2:47Speaker 2: the morning today, I noticed the parking lots for forty
- 2:51Speaker 2: percent full, fifty percent maybe. So I'm wondering if people
- 2:55Speaker 2: are just saying, you know what, why am I getting
- 2:57Speaker 2: up in the middle of the night for that two
- 3:00Speaker 2: hundred dollar TV when I could go online Cyber Monday
- 3:03Speaker 2: or even a lot of Cyber Monday sales are happening
- 3:05Speaker 2: right now and do it on the phone. You know
- 3:07Speaker 2: why am I? Why am I going to wait online?
- 3:08Speaker 2: I know some people like the excitement of going to
- 3:11Speaker 2: the mall, you know that hour and the door as
- 3:13Speaker 2: I call them, the doorbusters, right the doors open, everybody
- 3:16Speaker 2: runs in. I want that dollar, I want that whatever.
- 3:19Speaker 2: And it's the start of the holiday season, really officially
- 3:22Speaker 2: the Christmas and Hanukkah shopping season. But I think it's
- 3:26Speaker 2: just too darn easy to sit at home in your
- 3:28Speaker 2: pj's and get on your phone and say, all right,
- 3:30Speaker 2: let's buy this, let's buy that, right, and just have
- 3:32Speaker 2: it delivered to your door. We've really become a very
- 3:36Speaker 2: comfortable society when it comes to that. And all I
- 3:39Speaker 2: can say is, every time I see an Amazon delivery
- 3:43Speaker 2: person or a UPS delivery person and I'm driving by,
- 3:47Speaker 2: I always pay them the utmost of respect. I stopped
- 3:51Speaker 2: my car let them go by, because I know that
- 3:54Speaker 2: they are delivering precious cargo to somebody. So once again,
- 3:57Speaker 2: when i'd had with three to two to one zero seven.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Of course, you probably heard the news by now that
- 4:03Speaker 2: one of the two National Guard members shot in a
- 4:06Speaker 2: targeted ambush near the White House passed away yesterday. Her name,
- 4:10Speaker 2: she is a hero. She needs to have her name
- 4:12Speaker 2: out there. Her name Sarah Beckstrom. Now, Sarah was only
- 4:18Speaker 2: twenty years old. By most definitions, she would be a
- 4:22Speaker 2: kid twenty years old. Yet that kid still decided to
- 4:27Speaker 2: protect her country to Donna uniform, to go out and
- 4:31Speaker 2: risk her life, and she volunteered to work for the
- 4:34Speaker 2: holiday week so other National guardsmen could be off. Andrew Wolfe,
- 4:39Speaker 2: the other National Guard member, just twenty four, remains in
- 4:42Speaker 2: critical condition. Of course, he was shot as well. He's
- 4:45Speaker 2: fighting for his life, the president said. And the suspect
- 4:48Speaker 2: in this case, he's only twenty nine himself. They're all
- 4:51Speaker 2: in their twenties. The suspect twenty nine year old rock
- 4:55Speaker 2: Manula lochan wall, an Afghan national who lived most recently
- 4:59Speaker 2: in Washington State. Now they don't know why he did this.
- 5:03Speaker 2: Apparently he drove all the way from Washington State to Washington,
- 5:06Speaker 2: d C. Thirty something hundred miles to shoot these people.
- 5:10Speaker 2: It could be just an opportunity thing. It looks like
- 5:12Speaker 2: he pulled out his gune, he got out of his
- 5:15Speaker 2: vehicle and just as he rounded the corner, the National
- 5:18Speaker 2: Guard was there. And maybe it triggered him. Because he
- 5:20Speaker 2: spent time in Afghanistan working for the CIA, he was
- 5:24Speaker 2: a trained killer, that's what he did. Our CIA helped
- 5:28Speaker 2: train him to be a killer. His job was to
- 5:30Speaker 2: go after Taliban and al Qaeda and Islamic State terrorists
- 5:34Speaker 2: and killed them basically if he couldn't take them peacefully,
- 5:38Speaker 2: which however, you would do that in a war zone.
- 5:40Speaker 2: I don't know. He just killed them. So this is
- 5:43Speaker 2: he was trained to be a killer. Why would you say, oh,
- 5:48Speaker 2: this is the perfect person we want to come and
- 5:51Speaker 2: become part of our society, all right. I mean it's
- 5:53Speaker 2: hard enough having US citizens who who sacrificed their lives,
- 5:58Speaker 2: meaning our soldiers, airmen, marines, et cetera, and seamen, et cetera.
- 6:05Speaker 2: It's one thing that these are US citizens and we
- 6:09Speaker 2: task with the duty of going out there to protect us,
- 6:11Speaker 2: and they learn things. That's why so many soldiers and whatnot,
- 6:14Speaker 2: they veterans. They don't want to talk about the horrors
- 6:17Speaker 2: of war that they've seen. But it's another thing to
- 6:19Speaker 2: then open the doors to people we have trained that
- 6:22Speaker 2: It wasn't just the US military or trained them, this
- 6:24Speaker 2: was the CIA. So I don't know, and I can't
- 6:27Speaker 2: speak from first had experience, but I can only imagine
- 6:31Speaker 2: if you are training someone to kill Taliban and al Qaeda,
- 6:36Speaker 2: that it's not a pleasant thing to keep in the
- 6:38Speaker 2: back of your mind. If you are that person trained
- 6:41Speaker 2: and this person came here, was welcomed in by the
- 6:44Speaker 2: Biden administration. Come on in. It was back in twenty
- 6:47Speaker 2: twenty or twenty twenty one, I guess twenty twenty one.
- 6:49Speaker 2: The Biden administrations let them in, no big deal, settled them,
- 6:54Speaker 2: gave them an apartment two thousand dollars a month apartment
- 6:57Speaker 2: in a little town in Washington State. And he has
- 7:00Speaker 2: a wife and five kids. And they said he worked
- 7:04Speaker 2: for Amazon. I think that might have been a front
- 7:06Speaker 2: because they didn't want to say he was an FBI
- 7:08Speaker 2: not FBI. Excuse me, a CIA operative at one point.
- 7:13Speaker 2: But then he may have snapped. But what do you
- 7:16Speaker 2: expect the guy to do. He was a trained killer.
- 7:20Speaker 2: He was a trained killer. And think about what happened.
- 7:22Speaker 2: He comes to DC and then he sees soldiers, okay, boom.
- 7:28Speaker 2: So the point is you don't let someone like this
- 7:31Speaker 2: into the United States at all. This person had no
- 7:35Speaker 2: right being here and the administration, Biden administration, Excuse me?
- 7:40Speaker 2: Is that cough? Let me just I have to use
- 7:42Speaker 2: the cough button. Excuse me. That's the first time in
- 7:45Speaker 2: a year that I've ever had to hit the cough button.
- 7:47Speaker 2: There we go. But the Biden administration opened the floodgates.
- 7:52Speaker 2: Majorcas the head of Homeland Security, lied before Congress time
- 7:57Speaker 2: and time again when they asked him about the border
- 7:59Speaker 2: being secure. Oh, the border secure, border is secure. And
- 8:02Speaker 2: they would do a split screen on Fox and show
- 8:04Speaker 2: like one of the Fox reporters down at the border
- 8:07Speaker 2: with thousands of people just walking by, like nothing to
- 8:10Speaker 2: see here, nothing to see here. Meanwhile, Oh, the border
- 8:13Speaker 2: is secure. He just lied, lied to Congress over and
- 8:16Speaker 2: over again. That's a guy that has to be dealt
- 8:17Speaker 2: with legally, and I hope to God at some point
- 8:19Speaker 2: he has dealt with legally. So smug so were a
- 8:23Speaker 2: lot of the Biden administration people. But anyway, somebody driving
- 8:28Speaker 2: by in DC when the shooting occurred had his dash
- 8:33Speaker 2: cam going, I warn you, if you're disturbed by this sound,
- 8:37Speaker 2: you might want to just cover your ears for a second.
- 8:38Speaker 2: But this is the sound this person captured on their
- 8:41Speaker 2: dash cam. Five shots. And those shots, it is believed,
- 8:49Speaker 2: are the shots coming from rock Manula's revolver. He had
- 8:53Speaker 2: a three point fifty seven revolver, huge bullets, huge bullets,
- 8:59Speaker 2: and he was very close, apparently to the soldiers. He
- 9:02Speaker 2: had just rounded the block and he was maybe fifteen
- 9:04Speaker 2: feet when he fired those shots. Very big caliber those
- 9:08Speaker 2: of you who know a three P fifty seven is
- 9:10Speaker 2: a big caliber gun. So it is terrifying. These people,
- 9:14Speaker 2: these young men and women, They risk their lives for us.
- 9:18Speaker 2: And then you have the haters on the left who
- 9:20Speaker 2: say they shouldn't be there and whatnot, and that the
- 9:22Speaker 2: president has no right to call them into duty. Technically
- 9:26Speaker 2: that yes, not technically absolutely, the president, especially in Washington,
- 9:29Speaker 2: d C. Which is a federal territory, the president constitutionally,
- 9:33Speaker 2: along with Congress, are in charge of DC. President can
- 9:37Speaker 2: call out the National Guard there any time he wants.
- 9:39Speaker 2: He can remove the DC Council and the mayor at
- 9:41Speaker 2: any point because they are only serving at his privilege
- 9:45Speaker 2: or her privilege. If we have a female president. That
- 9:47Speaker 2: is a federal territory. That's the way it was set up.
- 9:50Speaker 2: So if I hear one more person say, oh, there
- 9:53Speaker 2: was no right, the National Guard should have never been there,
- 9:55Speaker 2: you don't know the constitution and you don't know what
- 9:57Speaker 2: you're talking about, believe it or not. A National Guard
- 10:01Speaker 2: sergeant who heard the commotion ran up to the scene
- 10:06Speaker 2: armed with nothing but a pocket knife and using a
- 10:09Speaker 2: pocket knife he waited for rock Manula to reload his gun.
- 10:13Speaker 2: It was apparently a six shooter, so after firing he
- 10:16Speaker 2: had like five shots in. He fired all five at
- 10:19Speaker 2: the time, he didn't have a six bulletin. Thankfully, this
- 10:23Speaker 2: sergeant took him down using a pocket knife. Talk about
- 10:27Speaker 2: good training. Rock Manula then got shot by another National
- 10:32Speaker 2: guardsman who came and I believe he shot him in
- 10:34Speaker 2: the leg and the abdomen. So rock Manula is now hospitalized.
- 10:38Speaker 2: He is expected to survive, and the CIA says this
- 10:41Speaker 2: guy worked for them again. They say he worked in
- 10:43Speaker 2: Afghanistan as part of a national strike unit trained to
- 10:47Speaker 2: seize or kill Taliban, al Qaeda, and Islamic State terrorists.
- 10:51Speaker 2: So it's very likely he may have had PTSD and
- 10:54Speaker 2: may have been mentally challenged, but it is no excuse
- 10:56Speaker 2: because he still managed to maintain a wife and five kids.
- 11:00Speaker 2: He was able to get a car, drive it three
- 11:02Speaker 2: thousand plus miles to DC and shoot two people, So
- 11:07Speaker 2: he may have had sure PTSD. I have no doubt
- 11:10Speaker 2: that makes sense that he would have, but he still
- 11:12Speaker 2: led his life up to this point, so I don't
- 11:14Speaker 2: want to hear as an excuse. Well, you know, he
- 11:16Speaker 2: was psychologically challenged, and when he had mental issues, you
- 11:19Speaker 2: can't know the guy still led a life. Where was
- 11:22Speaker 2: his wife during these years saying, you know, my husband's unstable,
- 11:25Speaker 2: he needs help. Clearly there was something brewing in the
- 11:29Speaker 2: back of this man's mind. Bottom line is he should
- 11:32Speaker 2: never ever have been allowed into our country, especially after
- 11:36Speaker 2: being trained to kill terrorists. Can you imagine what this
- 11:40Speaker 2: guy saw or the acts that he may have committed
- 11:43Speaker 2: in Afghanistan? Yet Joe Biden, dupe dupd dup opened the
- 11:47Speaker 2: floodgates wide, let anybody who wanted to be here come.
- 11:50Speaker 2: So yesterday a reporter made the mistake of asking President
- 11:55Speaker 2: Trump why he is blaming Biden for the death of
- 11:58Speaker 2: this young national guard. It's a long answer, but he
- 12:02Speaker 2: starts by calling the reporter stupid. You may think that's
- 12:05Speaker 2: a little much, but having been a reporter myself and
- 12:07Speaker 2: a news anchor for four decades, it was a pretty
- 12:09Speaker 2: stupid question on her part. He was President Trump.
- 12:13Speaker 5: Because they let him in. Are you stupid? Are you
- 12:15Speaker 5: a stupid person because they came in on a plane
- 12:19Speaker 5: along with thousands of other people that shouldn't be here,
- 12:23Speaker 5: And you're just asking questions because you're a stupid person,
- 12:26Speaker 5: and there's a law passed that it's almost impossible not
- 12:30Speaker 5: to get him out.
- 12:31Speaker 6: You can't get him out once they come in. And
- 12:34Speaker 6: they came in and they were unvetted, they were unchecked.
- 12:37Speaker 6: There were many of them, and they came in on
- 12:39Speaker 6: big planes and it was disgraceful.
- 12:42Speaker 5: And if you look, you'll see there was a law
- 12:44Speaker 5: pass it makes it almost impossible not to let them in,
- 12:47Speaker 5: not to certify them, so to speak, once they come in.
- 12:51Speaker 2: And yeah, that was the president yesterday. And this is
- 12:55Speaker 2: the problem the way the Democrats have set it up.
- 12:59Speaker 2: Each time they come out to office, they pass these
- 13:01Speaker 2: little laws that are part of a bigger package. So
- 13:03Speaker 2: you don't want to not pass the spending plan. But
- 13:05Speaker 2: online two million, four hundred twenty six three hundred and
- 13:08Speaker 2: twenty three, there's a little line that says, oh, if
- 13:11Speaker 2: somebody is a foreign national and they happen to sneak
- 13:13Speaker 2: in the country, you can't let them leave it. They're
- 13:15Speaker 2: allowed to stay here. That's the way the Democrats. There's
- 13:18Speaker 2: hundreds of little laws like that on the books. And
- 13:20Speaker 2: then you get a US District Court judge who tries
- 13:23Speaker 2: to overstep their bounds and says no, you can't send
- 13:25Speaker 2: them back because of this law and this book and
- 13:27Speaker 2: this district, then you can't do it. So as a result,
- 13:30Speaker 2: we have right now fifty three million people in the
- 13:34Speaker 2: US who are foreign born, and as many as twenty
- 13:37Speaker 2: to thirty million more here illegally that we are. We
- 13:40Speaker 2: can guesstimate and you know why we can guesstimate that
- 13:43Speaker 2: based on how many kids are in public schools that
- 13:47Speaker 2: just popped up out of nowhere and don't speak the language.
- 13:51Speaker 2: And by the way, we're not only talking Spanish, we're
- 13:53Speaker 2: talking from every country on the planet. And for anyone
- 13:56Speaker 2: who says you're a Direspanic, Kenjo Boiler brought up in
- 13:58Speaker 2: your effect that Juna Parre de mi familia abienna de
- 14:03Speaker 2: baist Gavra pagnon. So don't think that I'm anti Hispanic. Okay,
- 14:07Speaker 2: all right, maybe maybe you get the point. If this
- 14:11Speaker 2: is the case, that means seventy three to eighty three
- 14:14Speaker 2: million of our three hundred and forty two million people
- 14:16Speaker 2: in the United States are foreign born. That is about
- 14:20Speaker 2: one in four. That's crazy. That's crazy. No country on
- 14:25Speaker 2: the planet has one in four of the people residing
- 14:28Speaker 2: they're born elsewhere. Now, most of these folks may be
- 14:33Speaker 2: perfectly wonderful. In fact, statistically probably ninety nine percent are
- 14:38Speaker 2: awesome people all right, because immigrants did help build this country.
- 14:43Speaker 2: There is no question they came legally, and so the good,
- 14:48Speaker 2: hard working, tax paying immigrants, God bless them all. It's
- 14:51Speaker 2: wonderful that they are here, but it makes it very
- 14:54Speaker 2: hard for people to assimilate and to learn the American
- 14:58Speaker 2: way of life if millions come from other cultures at
- 15:01Speaker 2: once and predominate entire communities, perfect example, Minnesota. Like Minneapolis,
- 15:07Speaker 2: you have hundreds of thousands of people who just descended
- 15:10Speaker 2: on it from Somalia. Now, we used to have limits
- 15:13Speaker 2: of how many people come from each country. Back when
- 15:17Speaker 2: my grandparents made their way from Italy, the United States
- 15:19Speaker 2: had a cap of at one point of fifty thousand
- 15:22Speaker 2: from the whole world to come here. The only people
- 15:25Speaker 2: who were allowed to come in in larger numbers was
- 15:28Speaker 2: the people from South America. They wanted to limit the
- 15:32Speaker 2: number of people coming from Europe, and that's what they did,
- 15:35Speaker 2: so for years, only fifty thousand people in total could
- 15:38Speaker 2: come from anywhere on the planet but South America. And
- 15:41Speaker 2: if you came up through South America that you were
- 15:43Speaker 2: granted a pass, so to say. But this way people
- 15:46Speaker 2: could come into the US and assimilate, as opposed to
- 15:49Speaker 2: landing in a community and only speaking a specific language
- 15:53Speaker 2: and not learning the American way of life, because that's
- 15:56Speaker 2: not America. When you come in and just continue living
- 15:59Speaker 2: the life it came from. What's the point of coming here?
- 16:03Speaker 2: Seven ten wr the Voice of New York Mark took

- 17:03Speaker 2: that I thought i'd share with you. This is I
- 17:04Speaker 2: thought this was a joke. This almost sounds like something
- 17:07Speaker 2: from the Onion. But apparently Vladimir Putin's scientists in Russia
- 17:12Speaker 2: they've launched a squadron of remote control spy pigeons.
- 17:17Speaker 3: Here.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Let me put on my news anchor voice from nineteen
- 17:20Speaker 2: fifty three. These pigeons are fitted with brain implants. Kremlin
- 17:25Speaker 2: backed Muscow Neurotechnology firm boasts its operators can steer flux
- 17:29Speaker 2: of these pigeons across the sky by zap I'm sorry,
- 17:34Speaker 2: by zapping signals directly into their brain. The best part
- 17:37Speaker 2: is I wish I wish we had this online right now.
- 17:40Speaker 2: I could show you the pictures. They have these poor
- 17:43Speaker 2: pigeons with these ginormous devices on their heads, including implants
- 17:49Speaker 2: they put into their brains, and they say they right now,
- 17:51Speaker 2: we have one hundred percent s arrival weight of pigeon.
- 17:54Speaker 2: So they claim that they've inserted electrodes into their brains
- 17:57Speaker 2: and it's one hundred percent survival, right. I guess they
- 17:59Speaker 2: don't want to upset the animal rights wacka doodles in
- 18:02Speaker 2: Russia either.
- 18:03Speaker 4: But these.
- 18:06Speaker 2: The pigeons, they say, right now, it's pigeons.
- 18:09Speaker 3: This is real.
- 18:09Speaker 2: By the way, I'm not kidding. It sounds like I'm kidding.
- 18:11Speaker 2: It's real. Alexander Panoff, who founded a company in Russia,
- 18:15Speaker 2: claims right now, solution works on pigeons, but any birth
- 18:19Speaker 2: can be used as carrier. He's saying, for transport, this
- 18:23Speaker 2: is about transporting payloads to people across the line. I
- 18:27Speaker 2: think it's something a little more sinister than that personally.
- 18:30Speaker 2: But he's saying, like, right now, if they want to say,
- 18:36Speaker 2: go over into Ukraine and they can't get good images
- 18:39Speaker 2: from satellites, they could send these pigeons over who would
- 18:42Speaker 2: be bearing little cameras and the pigeons could then see,
- 18:46Speaker 2: you know, send back images, send back video images of
- 18:49Speaker 2: what they're flying over. Craig Cray, but they're talking about,
- 18:52Speaker 2: if necessary, they could use ravens or sea cranes or
- 18:57Speaker 2: any any other albatrosses, any kind of bird. They just
- 19:02Speaker 2: have to get the sensors implanted into the right part
- 19:04Speaker 2: of the brain. Okay, I just want to meet the
- 19:07Speaker 2: guy in Russia who thought this was a good idea.
- 19:10Speaker 2: I have idea. Of course, why would they speak English
- 19:12Speaker 2: with a Russian accent. I'm just making it up, But
- 19:15Speaker 2: I have idea. We implant implants into the brain of pigeon. Yes,
- 19:19Speaker 2: good idea, good idea, Let's do that. This week seven
- 19:23Speaker 2: wore the Voice of New York. Hey, listen, Mark took
- 19:27Speaker 2: a nice long holiday weekend. My dear friend there, and
- 19:29Speaker 2: hope he's enjoying himself. This is Ken Risotta. We will
- 19:32Speaker 2: take those calls once again. Eight hundred three to two
- 19:33Speaker 2: one zero seven ten. Today's weather sunshine today and tomorrow.
- 19:38Speaker 2: Today is going to be very chilly with a lot
- 19:40Speaker 2: of wind. It's going to feel it really cold. And
- 19:43Speaker 2: then tomorrow we're talking about same thing but less win.
- 19:47Speaker 3: So there you go.
- 19:48Speaker 2: But if you're doing some Black Friday shopping, just make
- 19:50Speaker 2: sure you bundle up. Coming up, we're going to talk
- 19:53Speaker 2: with enter our Talk Entertainment, I should say, with Showbiz
- 19:55Speaker 2: four to one ones, Roger Freeman looking for a good
- 19:57Speaker 2: movie this weekend. Roger will know what to see. This
- 20:00Speaker 2: is the Mark.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Simone Show on seven to ten. WOI Ken from Mark Today.
- 20:06Speaker 1: Here's Ken Rosatto.
- 20:07Speaker 2: That good to be with you on Black Friday. Mark
- 20:09Speaker 2: having a nice long weekend. And Roger Friedman is the
- 20:13Speaker 2: brains behind Showbiz four when one he joins us live
- 20:16Speaker 2: with the hottest entertainment news. Roger Freeman. Happy Black Friday,
- 20:19Speaker 2: Happy Black Friday?
- 20:21Speaker 7: How are you?
- 20:21Speaker 2: I'm good. I'm celebrating with my computer screen open all
- 20:24Speaker 2: right now I could save on this and that, so listen.
- 20:28Speaker 2: So I love Stranger Things, and I see Stranger Things
- 20:31Speaker 2: is back on Netflix. The first four episodes of season five,
- 20:34Speaker 2: the last season just drops. How's it looking to you?
- 20:38Speaker 3: I loved it. I watched well, I had the press
- 20:41Speaker 3: had gotten three episodes in advance and we weren't allowed
- 20:45Speaker 3: to talk about them until the last minute on Wednesday.
- 20:49Speaker 3: But they were terrific. And then the fourth episode had
- 20:53Speaker 3: I watched live on the network and it was just great.
- 20:58Speaker 3: So I think it's it's going to be a wonderful
- 21:01Speaker 3: final season for them. Of course, the kids have all
- 21:04Speaker 3: grown up, which is kind of funny because you know
- 21:08Speaker 3: they couldn't stay, you know, teenagers forever. They're sort of
- 21:12Speaker 3: pretending they're teenagers, but they're in their twenties now or
- 21:15Speaker 3: twenty and above. But you can sort of suspend your
- 21:19Speaker 3: disbelief about that. And the special effects are insane. They're
- 21:24Speaker 3: just fantastic.
- 21:26Speaker 2: Roger, what do you think makes that show so popular?
- 21:28Speaker 2: Is it the nostalgia? The throwback? Do you why do
- 21:32Speaker 2: so many people love it?
- 21:33Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 21:34Speaker 3: I mean, for me, I have to say it's definitely
- 21:36Speaker 3: the nostalgia. I mean, the whole thing feels like a
- 21:40Speaker 3: Steven Spielberg movie from nineteen eighty two. It feels like
- 21:44Speaker 3: et is sort of completely based on dungeons and Dragons,
- 21:49Speaker 3: so it's all things eighties. And now they sort of
- 21:53Speaker 3: revealed in these four episodes that maybe the whole show
- 21:57Speaker 3: is sort of not based on but revolves around the
- 22:03Speaker 3: children's sci fi book A Wrinkle in Time. And there's
- 22:08Speaker 3: a new young girl on the show. She'd been I guess,
- 22:11Speaker 3: like a baby in the other episodes, and now they've
- 22:13Speaker 3: grown her up to be somewhere around ten or twelve,
- 22:17Speaker 3: and she's reading A Wrinkle in Time and they're discussing
- 22:22Speaker 3: characters from it, So if you're into a wrinkle in time,
- 22:26Speaker 3: you'll really like Stranger Things this season. The music is great,
- 22:31Speaker 3: very nostalgic. You know, the part of the show takes
- 22:34Speaker 3: place in something called the upside Down. You know, it's
- 22:38Speaker 3: the magical place, you know, sort of dangerous place with
- 22:42Speaker 3: monsters that's under the town of Hawkins. And so they
- 22:45Speaker 3: finally licensed Diana Ross's song upside Down. I love it,
- 22:49Speaker 3: and so and that's very funny, and the rest of
- 22:54Speaker 3: the music is very it's all eighties music, so I think, Yeah,
- 22:58Speaker 3: the nostalgia is a big part of it. Effects are terrific,
- 23:01Speaker 3: and the characters are very well drawn. You know each
- 23:04Speaker 3: character now, you know exactly what their histories are, what
- 23:07Speaker 3: they're what they're up to. And it's number one on
- 23:10Speaker 3: Netflix absolutely.
- 23:12Speaker 2: So you could tell the people behind it are having fun.
- 23:15Speaker 2: Can't you just tell that when you want, like they're
- 23:17Speaker 2: having a bread. Yeah, this is so cool. I love that.
- 23:19Speaker 2: That's and and it's sort of infectious, and I think
- 23:21Speaker 2: that that's also part of why people love watching it.
- 23:24Speaker 2: You feel like you're part of a club and you're
- 23:25Speaker 2: you're in on on stuff and you can't wait to
- 23:28Speaker 2: see what comes next. At the same time, it's really cool.
- 23:30Speaker 3: So you're part of the hell Fire Club, right, the
- 23:33Speaker 3: club they belong to exactly, and and so it's interesting.
- 23:37Speaker 3: And of course all the actors in the show have
- 23:41Speaker 3: already started booking things outside of Stranger Things. So we're
- 23:45Speaker 3: going to see all these kids move on to big careers,
- 23:48Speaker 3: I think.
- 23:48Speaker 2: And all of a sudden there in their twenties.
- 23:51Speaker 3: Yeah, and get to act and to be there themselves.
- 23:55Speaker 2: Let me remind everybody this is Roger Friedman from Showbiz
- 23:58Speaker 2: four one one, Ken Rizottowin from Mark seven to ten
- 24:01Speaker 2: w R. And Roger Wicked is cleaning up at the
- 24:04Speaker 2: box office two hundred million bucks for this or through
- 24:08Speaker 2: that's but well done show Yeah, well Wicked.
- 24:13Speaker 3: Listen, everybody wanted to It was very smart of Universal
- 24:16Speaker 3: Pictures to break this into two movies, because really, at
- 24:21Speaker 3: one point during the second movie, I was thinking, you know,
- 24:23Speaker 3: this could have been one movie, but they managed to
- 24:27Speaker 3: work it out. The second movie a lot of it
- 24:29Speaker 3: reiterates the Wizard of Oz. See you get to see
- 24:34Speaker 3: the Wizard of Oz from from a different perspective, and
- 24:38Speaker 3: there are no big songs like there were in the
- 24:40Speaker 3: first In the first movie, but the story, you know,
- 24:46Speaker 3: gets exciting as they get to the wrap up of
- 24:49Speaker 3: you know, what's going to happen to all these people?
- 24:51Speaker 2: Now?
- 24:52Speaker 3: Of course Universal is saying that they're going to start
- 24:55Speaker 3: having like sequels and prequels, so we're not done with Wicked.
- 24:59Speaker 3: There's going to be uh a lot more stories from
- 25:03Speaker 3: you know, Oz. I don't know how that's going to
- 25:07Speaker 3: go exactly. To write songs for all.
- 25:10Speaker 2: These Is it going to be the marvel? The marvel
- 25:12Speaker 2: of You can.
- 25:15Speaker 3: Tell that that that's what they want, you know. L
- 25:19Speaker 3: Frank Baum, who wrote The Wizard of Oz wrote other stories. Uh,
- 25:24Speaker 3: and so I remember as a kid reading all the
- 25:27Speaker 3: other stories. They were came into one of these big
- 25:29Speaker 3: hardcover books, and I remember reading the other stories, but
- 25:34Speaker 3: they weren't as memorable. Once once she really did the
- 25:36Speaker 3: Wizard of Oz, that was it, you know. And so
- 25:40Speaker 3: they're going to try to milk it for what they can.
- 25:42Speaker 3: But in the meantime, you know, it's just a massive hit.
- 25:45Speaker 2: Yeah, And I mean, look, every little girl, please, even adults.
- 25:49Speaker 2: But my little niece who's eight, actually charge on Monday.
- 25:52Speaker 2: She's she dished at a party the other day and
- 25:55Speaker 2: I was Wicked, so she everybody came in the Wicked Thing.
- 25:58Speaker 2: It was so fun. And z Utopia nice debut. Talk
- 26:01Speaker 2: about that.
- 26:02Speaker 3: Yep, Zootopia came back there. It's their sequel to their
- 26:06Speaker 3: twenty sixteen movies. Some people held on and it's gotten
- 26:11Speaker 3: I haven't seen it. It's gotten great reviews, but it's
- 26:14Speaker 3: also a hit. And then you've got, you know, really
- 26:16Speaker 3: great movies playing at the box office. We still have
- 26:21Speaker 3: one Battle after another which everyone should go and see
- 26:25Speaker 3: if they haven't seen it. It's really that's going to
- 26:27Speaker 3: win the Oscar this year. But there's plenty of other
- 26:31Speaker 3: good films playing I think at the Paris Theater. Netflix
- 26:35Speaker 3: has a couple of their films playing that are going
- 26:39Speaker 3: to be on Netflix soon but are worth seeing on
- 26:42Speaker 3: a big screen, so Frankenstein in particular. So it's a
- 26:47Speaker 3: very good season. It's a very good season for movies.
- 26:50Speaker 2: I'm sorry I had to do that every time I
- 26:51Speaker 2: hear Frankenstein.
- 26:55Speaker 3: I know that's what we're saying. Then too, during the
- 26:57Speaker 3: movie you're not saying it right, But actually this track
- 27:02Speaker 3: of time is so serious and so beautiful to watch.
- 27:05Speaker 3: It's really beautiful that it's totally worth going to see it.
- 27:10Speaker 3: Everything is worth going to see in a theater, and
- 27:13Speaker 3: everything is better seeing it on big screen.
- 27:15Speaker 2: You know, I always listen. I always I remember at
- 27:18Speaker 2: a wedding hearing hearing the minister to say, you know
- 27:21Speaker 2: the difference between people just living together and loving each
- 27:24Speaker 2: other or coming to a wedding is the level of
- 27:26Speaker 2: commitment and the joy. You could sit home and have
- 27:29Speaker 2: a dinner, or you could go out to a formal dinner,
- 27:31Speaker 2: and it makes it all the more special. And you're right.
- 27:33Speaker 2: You could sit home and watch it on TV, or
- 27:34Speaker 2: you could go to a theater with other people and
- 27:37Speaker 2: kind of collectively enjoy the scene in the moment. And
- 27:39Speaker 2: I'm with you one hundred percent, just makes it.
- 27:41Speaker 3: Over at the over at the Paris, if you're in Manhattan,
- 27:45Speaker 3: they're showing Jay Kelly the George Clooney movie, which I love,
- 27:51Speaker 3: and also Wake Up dead Man, the NWD Knives Out movie,
- 27:56Speaker 3: so that there's plenty to see over there.
- 27:58Speaker 2: Nice and quickly. Here, we've got a bit in a
- 28:00Speaker 2: minute left here. The is it that the New York
- 28:02Speaker 2: Times bestseller list doesn't have the cachet at once? Said?
- 28:05Speaker 2: Because Lewis c K's first novel ingram number fourteen times list.
- 28:09Speaker 3: Go ahead, Yeah, I don't understand what's going on with
- 28:12Speaker 3: the New York Times bestselloist. I got this email the
- 28:14Speaker 3: other morning from Lewis ckdr people saying we're number fourteen
- 28:19Speaker 3: on the best seller list. I'm like you are. And
- 28:21Speaker 3: then I went on Amazon and on Amazon there are
- 28:25Speaker 3: number one thousand and seven. So I don't know. I
- 28:29Speaker 3: wish I understood how it happened. But listen, you know,
- 28:33Speaker 3: Lewis k is very earnest about this book. He certainly
- 28:36Speaker 3: had a lot of problems being canceled for various things
- 28:42Speaker 3: that went on. He is funny. There's no question about
- 28:46Speaker 3: it that he's funny. He really made Oh now the
- 28:50Speaker 3: book is up to seven hundred and sixty on Amazon.
- 28:53Speaker 2: Well, that's seems because you're talking about it.
- 28:56Speaker 3: As we're talking about it, seems like a far clive
- 28:59Speaker 3: from number four on a few our times. I don't
- 29:03Speaker 3: know how to I don't know what a slight of
- 29:04Speaker 3: magic is going on.
- 29:05Speaker 2: Wait, at the end of this interview, it's going to
- 29:07Speaker 2: be at number two.
- 29:08Speaker 3: You was it might be at number seven thirty. I
- 29:11Speaker 3: think that's but it's a southern novel. It's gothic. It's
- 29:16Speaker 3: very overwrought. I said when I wrote, when I wrote,
- 29:20Speaker 3: I wrote my review from it a couple of weeks ago,
- 29:23Speaker 3: and it came when it came to me, and I said,
- 29:26Speaker 3: this guy's write a lot of Faulkner and a lot
- 29:27Speaker 3: of Cormac McCarthy, and and in fact, that's what it's like.
- 29:32Speaker 3: It's like, it's like a Southern novel like that, and
- 29:35Speaker 3: it's got some it's got some questionable things in it.
- 29:39Speaker 3: So I don't know that it's really going to stay
- 29:41Speaker 3: at number fourteen very long, but we'll see, all right.
- 29:44Speaker 2: Well, he is the founder and editor in chief of
- 29:46Speaker 2: Showbiz for one one. Roger Freeman, it's always great to
- 29:49Speaker 2: have you on. Have a wonderful day and enjoy your
- 29:51Speaker 2: digestion from yesterday. Yeah yeah, Roger, you as well, Thank you, sir.

- 30:02Speaker 2: today rain for Sunday heights near fifty. Phone lines open.

- 30:18Speaker 2: now more.

- 30:28Speaker 2: Friday morning, just before eleven o'clock. Right now we go
- 30:30Speaker 2: right to our busy phones. Vincent from Brooklyn, Good morning.
- 30:33Speaker 2: How was your Thanksgiving, sir.
- 30:35Speaker 4: My dad? My Thanksgiving was excellent? Ken, and I have
- 30:39Speaker 4: a secret stuff and I use I make Italian style
- 30:43Speaker 4: stuffing for my for my Turkey Italian style.
- 30:48Speaker 2: How's that?
- 30:49Speaker 4: How's that? Well? Depend for four people? Stuffing for four people?
- 30:55Speaker 4: You sawte about two cups of diced celery, Dan, you
- 31:00Speaker 4: put it, put in the onions when the celery starts
- 31:03Speaker 4: to get clear, and uh, you put a little salt,
- 31:07Speaker 4: just a pinch of salt on the onions and uh,
- 31:10Speaker 4: and the cellery, well this tat to bring out the moisture, right,
- 31:14Speaker 4: so you don't have to use a lot of oil.
- 31:16Speaker 4: Then you put on you put the cube. I don't
- 31:22Speaker 4: buy stuff. I get like three quarters of a large
- 31:25Speaker 4: loaf of sliced bread is.
- 31:28Speaker 2: Just white bread.
- 31:31Speaker 4: Just well, you could mix it up. You can use
- 31:33Speaker 4: white hand whole whatever you want. I use white bread.
- 31:36Speaker 4: I cube, I get, put it in a bag. Let
- 31:38Speaker 4: it get dry overnight. Then I cube it up.
- 31:42Speaker 3: Uh.
- 31:42Speaker 4: Then when I saw tato veggies, I put it on
- 31:45Speaker 4: top of that. Let it get start to get soggy.
- 31:48Speaker 4: I have two cups of chicken brought here and there.
- 31:53Speaker 4: I throwing a dollar of chicken brought by door. Makes
- 31:57Speaker 4: it italian is. Instead of putting bell seasoning, I use oregano.
- 32:02Speaker 4: I put on it. It really really tastes good. It
- 32:07Speaker 4: gets it's moist and everything. Ken, I heard you talking
- 32:11Speaker 4: about the problem of these people coming to this country
- 32:14Speaker 4: and not assimulating like our grandparents did. And this is
- 32:19Speaker 4: all the fault of the nineteen sixty four Hot Seller Act,
- 32:25Speaker 4: which I'll explain it to the audience real quick. Basically,
- 32:29Speaker 4: what Brian.
- 32:30Speaker 2: I gotta cutch you only because it's news time, it's
- 32:32Speaker 2: going to cut off automatically. But listen, man, I thank
- 32:35Speaker 2: you for the recipe. Please. I'm on next week, so
- 32:37Speaker 2: definitely calling. We're going to talk about more with that
- 32:40Speaker 2: Vincent Happy Black Friday. We got lots of amazing online
- 32:43Speaker 2: deals for anybody wants to hear about him too. We
- 32:46Speaker 2: have Brandon digital strategist Fisher coming up in this next hour.
- 32:50Speaker 1: Now the Mark Simone Show on seven to ten. Woor
- 32:54Speaker 1: filling in for Mark. Here's Ken Rosotto.
- 32:57Speaker 2: On a Black Friday, hoping you had a good Thanksgiving,
- 33:01Speaker 2: that you're nice and full. Isn't it Somethinghow on Thanksgiving
- 33:04Speaker 2: you crave and eat so many foods you just don't
- 33:07Speaker 2: eat the rest of the year. It's like, honestly, in
- 33:09Speaker 2: the middle of July, do you ever say, you know,
- 33:11Speaker 2: I could go for a good whole berry cranberry sauce? Right,
- 33:14Speaker 2: you just don't. You don't say in September, I want
- 33:18Speaker 2: me some stuff and you just don't. But yet when
- 33:21Speaker 2: November rolls around and you start thinking Thanksgiving, you just
- 33:25Speaker 2: have to have that stuffing and such good. So I
- 33:27Speaker 2: went to my brother and sister in law's house and
- 33:30Speaker 2: everybody kind of contributed something to the meal. My sister
- 33:33Speaker 2: in law is the most amazing cook. Just Carolyn, I
- 33:36Speaker 2: love you. She's just unbelievable. Her mom Weezy, we call
- 33:40Speaker 2: her Louise. She's an amazing cook. Just everybody, just the food.
- 33:45Speaker 2: There literally was not one dish that I was saying,
- 33:47Speaker 2: I'll go for this and not that it was one
- 33:49Speaker 2: of those deals. And she had one of those great feasts.
- 33:51Speaker 2: I'm sure you probably had something similar with your family.
- 33:55Speaker 2: If I give us a call and let us know,
- 33:57Speaker 2: eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten eat
- 34:00Speaker 2: two to one zero seven ten. It's a day like this,
- 34:02Speaker 2: we don't have to be super heavy into politics. We
- 34:04Speaker 2: get a little light like Vincent from Brooklyn. I love Vincent.
- 34:08Speaker 2: Vincent called in and just shared his recipe for stuffing,
- 34:12Speaker 2: which sounded great. Sorry we had cut him short there
- 34:14Speaker 2: at the top of the hour with the news, but
- 34:16Speaker 2: that sounded yummy. You're gonna check that recipe out myself.
- 34:19Speaker 2: I got a lot of talk about today. For those
- 34:21Speaker 2: that remember me, I used to be at Channel seven.
- 34:24Speaker 2: I was there for twenty years as the morning and
- 34:26Speaker 2: for about sixteen of those years also the noon anchor.
- 34:29Speaker 2: I also did the morning and noon show at Channel five.
- 34:32Speaker 2: Ken Rosatto, you may or may not remember me. Just
- 34:35Speaker 2: recently talking to my dear friend Laurie Stokes used to
- 34:37Speaker 2: be with me at the Channel seven and then she
- 34:39Speaker 2: went on to Channel five on her own. But Laurie
- 34:42Speaker 2: shared with me her family's stuffing recipe, which I made yesterday,
- 34:47Speaker 2: and her stuffing is one of the most delicious stuffings
- 34:51Speaker 2: I've ever tasted. It's a combination of whole grain whole
- 34:54Speaker 2: wheat bread. And you say, ken, I'm not into that
- 34:56Speaker 2: whole wheat. Believe me. It works in the recipe. Mixed
- 35:00Speaker 2: with chunks of like a white sour dough, you toast
- 35:03Speaker 2: them together with lots of sage time and tons of rosemary,
- 35:09Speaker 2: a little butter spray we use toast them off. You
- 35:12Speaker 2: mix it with some turkey and chicken stock that has
- 35:15Speaker 2: garlic and rosemary infused in it, and then you bake
- 35:19Speaker 2: that off in the oven with tons of butter and
- 35:21Speaker 2: celery and onion. I'm telling you, like right now, I
- 35:24Speaker 2: just want to say a right, let's put their put
- 35:25Speaker 2: tape on. I'm going home eat more of this stuffing.
- 35:27Speaker 2: It's that good. We Also, if you can check out
- 35:30Speaker 2: the website, I have thefood dude dot us. The food
- 35:34Speaker 2: dude dot us tons of recipes including Thanksgiving recipes up there,

- 35:46Speaker 2: that's how I keep myself busy when I'm not privileged
- 35:49Speaker 2: to do the Radio here for the Great Mark Simone.
- 35:51Speaker 2: So lots of talk about today. Give us a call.
- 35:53Speaker 2: Today is Black Friday. Of course you know of any
- 35:56Speaker 2: hot bargains you could share with us. We have a
- 35:58Speaker 2: guy coming up a little later this hour, mus Fisher.
- 36:00Speaker 2: He is an IT digital expert, so he's into cyber
- 36:05Speaker 2: stuff and he is going to tell us about some
- 36:07Speaker 2: Cyber Monday deals, which it feels like Black Friday sort
- 36:12Speaker 2: of fuses into melts into Cyber Monday. You notice that
- 36:17Speaker 2: I'm noticing fewer and fewer people are going to the
- 36:19Speaker 2: malls on Black Friday. Instead they just start their Cyber
- 36:23Speaker 2: Monday shopping on Black Friday and just take care of
- 36:25Speaker 2: things that way. But we'd like to hear what you do.
- 36:27Speaker 2: So it's eight hundred and three to two one zero
- 36:30Speaker 2: seven ten along the holiday mood?
- 36:32Speaker 7: Yet?
- 36:32Speaker 2: Did you hear that the Big Holiday light show at
- 36:35Speaker 2: Sachs has returned this year after disappearing last year? So
- 36:39Speaker 2: the light show takes place every ten minutes five pm
- 36:43Speaker 2: to eleven pm through January fourth at Sacksforth Avenue For
- 36:47Speaker 2: those coming from out of town, sacks Fifth Avenue's fifth
- 36:49Speaker 2: Avenue between That makes sense, right, Sacksmith Avenue between forty
- 36:53Speaker 2: ninth and fiftieth Streets. It's right by the Rockefeller Center tree.
- 36:57Speaker 2: So while you're there, go see the tree and go
- 36:59Speaker 2: to Sack see the beautiful light show. It just makes
- 37:02Speaker 2: you feel good to be a New Yorker, no matter
- 37:04Speaker 2: what your politics, when you come and see that for
- 37:06Speaker 2: the holidays. Some sad news, of course, one of the
- 37:10Speaker 2: two National Guard members shot in a target at ambush
- 37:13Speaker 2: by the White House died yesterday. She was just twenty
- 37:16Speaker 2: years old, and please remember her name and your prayers
- 37:20Speaker 2: and remember her family. Sarah Beckstrom. Sarah Beckstrom, twenty year
- 37:25Speaker 2: old young woman, volunteered to work the holiday week so
- 37:28Speaker 2: other National Guards member National Guard members could be off.
- 37:32Speaker 2: And there was another guardsman who was shot along with her,
- 37:35Speaker 2: Andrew Wolf. He was only twenty four. He's in critical condition.
- 37:39Speaker 2: He's fighting for his life, according to President Trump. Now,
- 37:43Speaker 2: a person driving by the attack on Wednesday with a
- 37:46Speaker 2: rolling dash cam claims to have recorded the gunshots. If
- 37:50Speaker 2: you feel this is too much, then just kind of
- 37:51Speaker 2: cover years for a second. But here's the sound that
- 37:54Speaker 2: this person claims were the bullets. I mean, that's terrifying.
- 38:01Speaker 2: That was the moment where apparently the attack took place,
- 38:05Speaker 2: so we pray for the victims, we pray for their families.
- 38:09Speaker 2: And the shooter is identified as twenty nine year old
- 38:12Speaker 2: Rockmanula loachon Wall, an Afghan national from Washington State, and
- 38:17Speaker 2: the motive not yet determined, but he may have been
- 38:19Speaker 2: mentally unstable. That doesn't excuse anything. He was shot by
- 38:24Speaker 2: a nearby National Guard member and is hospitalized in serious condition,
- 38:28Speaker 2: but looks like he'll survive. President Trump criticized Joe Biden
- 38:32Speaker 2: on this, saying the suspect was flown to the US
- 38:35Speaker 2: under the Biden administration. Trump confirmed the suspect arrived in
- 38:39Speaker 2: the US under a Biden era program that allowed Afghan
- 38:41Speaker 2: nationals to enter into the country, and a reporter made
- 38:45Speaker 2: the mistake yesterday of asking why the President is blaming
- 38:47Speaker 2: Biden for this attack.
- 38:49Speaker 5: Because they let him in? Are you stupid? Are you
- 38:51Speaker 5: a stupid person because they came in on a plane
- 38:55Speaker 5: along with thousands of other people that shouldn't be here,
- 38:58Speaker 5: and you're just asking uestions because you're a stupid person.
- 39:01Speaker 2: And I would think that a lot of people agree
- 39:03Speaker 2: with the President on that the president former President Biden,
- 39:08Speaker 2: under this open borders policy that he get. This is
- 39:11Speaker 2: the best part is the President Biden kept denying it
- 39:14Speaker 2: was an open border's policy. Meanwhile, Fox News was the
- 39:17Speaker 2: only news channel at one point, then later Newsmax who
- 39:19Speaker 2: went down to the border, and you just see hundreds
- 39:23Speaker 2: and hundreds and hundreds of people every hour just streaming across,
- 39:26Speaker 2: and then you'd cut they'd do a split screen and
- 39:28Speaker 2: they'd cut to majorcas testifying before Congress saying the border
- 39:31Speaker 2: is secure, the border is secure, the border is secure,
- 39:34Speaker 2: just lying bullface, lying to the congress members the border
- 39:39Speaker 2: is secure, while Fox was showing the streaming like, who
- 39:42Speaker 2: are you going to believe me or your own lion eyes.
- 39:45Speaker 2: So this went on for four years, and that gave
- 39:47Speaker 2: us anywhere from ten to twenty. Vice President of Vance
- 39:51Speaker 2: even said maybe as many as thirty million illegals in
- 39:54Speaker 2: this country. Now, it would be a lot worse if
- 39:58Speaker 2: they were all terrible people, and they're not, obviously, like
- 40:01Speaker 2: ninety nine percent are probably wonderful people. So I'm not
- 40:04Speaker 2: trying to condemn anybody who everybody who came here illegally,
- 40:08Speaker 2: But the fact is it was just a matter of
- 40:10Speaker 2: numbers that there would be some people sneaking in who
- 40:13Speaker 2: aren't up to the best of thoughts, who were not
- 40:17Speaker 2: coming in. They took advantage of the opportunity to come in.
- 40:20Speaker 2: And they probably weren't the greatest people in the society
- 40:24Speaker 2: from whence they came. And they came from all over
- 40:26Speaker 2: the world, by the way, not any one specific country
- 40:29Speaker 2: or any one specific culture, all over the world. We
- 40:32Speaker 2: know we have Chinese nationals, we had Egyptians, we had Italians.
- 40:36Speaker 2: We had people from all over the world sneaking across
- 40:39Speaker 2: the southern border because they knew that that was the
- 40:40Speaker 2: easy way and fly into Mexico City, pay somebody to
- 40:43Speaker 2: get us up to the border. Then you get up
- 40:45Speaker 2: to the border, sneak right in, and you'll be in.
- 40:47Speaker 2: And that's it. And the way the Democrats have set
- 40:49Speaker 2: things up in this country, it makes it practically impossible
- 40:53Speaker 2: to get rid of these people. Trump is trying his best,
- 40:56Speaker 2: but at this point, I'm sure the Trump administration was
- 40:59Speaker 2: hoping they'd have two three times as many people kicked
- 41:02Speaker 2: out of this country versus now. And I love how
- 41:05Speaker 2: you have so many Americans saying, yeah, but this person
- 41:07Speaker 2: was nonviolent. Why are you getting rid of them? You
- 41:09Speaker 2: know you're here illegally. You're here illegally, and that's that
- 41:12Speaker 2: we have laws for a reason. I know we all.
- 41:15Speaker 2: I guarantee everyone listening knows somebody who is not here legally,
- 41:20Speaker 2: or know somebody who knows somebody once removed, twice removed,
- 41:23Speaker 2: who is not here legally. Oh, such and such as
- 41:25Speaker 2: a friend who's not here legally. And you have to
- 41:28Speaker 2: understand as nice as the person is. Right now, President
- 41:31Speaker 2: Trump is making a deal with those people. If they're
- 41:34Speaker 2: non criminals and they're just here, they're nice people, President
- 41:37Speaker 2: Trump says, Listen, download the CBB app. Okay, say that
- 41:40Speaker 2: you're going to leave by a certain point, you'll be safe.
- 41:43Speaker 2: At that point, you have to guarantee you'll be gone
- 41:45Speaker 2: with your family. At that point, the country will pay
- 41:49Speaker 2: for your airline ticket and your family to go back
- 41:52Speaker 2: to your country of origin. And when you can show
- 41:55Speaker 2: proof that you are back in your country of origin,
- 41:58Speaker 2: they will send you the a the US government a
- 42:00Speaker 2: check for one thousand dollars. I mean, no other country
- 42:03Speaker 2: on the planet does that. And then once you've done
- 42:06Speaker 2: all that, you can now legally apply and you can
- 42:10Speaker 2: use as part of your argument. While I was in
- 42:12Speaker 2: the United States, I worked for these people, or I
- 42:15Speaker 2: did this and they'll write a letter for me that
- 42:17Speaker 2: will help you along the process. So there's a way
- 42:19Speaker 2: to come back legally and become part of the fabrics
- 42:23Speaker 2: of our society, you know. So it's not that every
- 42:26Speaker 2: single person who's not here legally the President just doesn't
- 42:29Speaker 2: like them because they're foreign born.
- 42:31Speaker 1: No.
- 42:32Speaker 2: No, we have a system to come into this country
- 42:35Speaker 2: so people can come here and integrate into society and
- 42:39Speaker 2: become Americans. As opposed to bringing your culture and keeping
- 42:44Speaker 2: your culture exactly as is. Your culture should contribute to
- 42:47Speaker 2: the fabric. It shouldn't become the fabric. Seven ten WR
- 42:52Speaker 2: The Voice of New York is Ken Rizotto Infra Mark
- 42:55Speaker 2: on Black Friday, the day after the Big Feast. I
- 42:58Speaker 2: don't know if you heard this. The National Weather Service
- 43:00Speaker 2: is Climate Prediction Center says we could likely expect colder
- 43:04Speaker 2: than normal weather in the northern and northeastern US. In fact,
- 43:09Speaker 2: some forecasters say the so called polar vortex could run
- 43:13Speaker 2: a little out of control and send some of the
- 43:15Speaker 2: Earth's most extreme cold right toward us. Why are we talking?
- 43:20Speaker 2: Things would start chilling down a lot the first week
- 43:22Speaker 2: of December. That's next week if you're not keeping track,
- 43:25Speaker 2: and then get ready for bitter cold by the second
- 43:28Speaker 2: and third weeks of December. Excuse me, I accidentally unplugged
- 43:32Speaker 2: my headphones on. They bend over and plug them back in,
- 43:34Speaker 2: and they were, ah, here we go. My headphones have
- 43:37Speaker 2: a short in them, and I keep wiggling the cable
- 43:40Speaker 2: and then I accidentally pulled it out. Sorry to get
- 43:42Speaker 2: technicalinier there. I got it back all right, So it's
- 43:45Speaker 2: going to be really cool. So by the second and
- 43:47Speaker 2: third weeks of December, you're going to feel a real
- 43:50Speaker 2: chill down. So I always talk to weather forecasting friends
- 43:54Speaker 2: meteorologists about this because I'm sort of an amateur weather geek.
- 43:57Speaker 2: And every year, sometime between mid December and mid January,
- 44:01Speaker 2: we get that blast one to two weeks of single
- 44:03Speaker 2: digits overnight frigid, you know, cold, et cetera. So it
- 44:07Speaker 2: looks like it's going to be early this year. For
- 44:08Speaker 2: those that don't know about the polar vortex, I only
- 44:11Speaker 2: know about it because when I was at Channel seven,
- 44:13Speaker 2: I remember hearing meteorologist Jeff Smith talk about it and
- 44:17Speaker 2: I said, what the hell is the polar vortex? Never
- 44:19Speaker 2: heard of that? And yeah, it's a real thing. It's
- 44:21Speaker 2: apparently the way. It's sort of a batch of air
- 44:24Speaker 2: that usually hovers over the North Pole right in our case,
- 44:29Speaker 2: and at certain times, just because of air masses, temperatures,
- 44:34Speaker 2: ocean temperatures, et cetera, sometimes it just dips away from
- 44:37Speaker 2: the pole and as it comes down it brings with
- 44:40Speaker 2: it the frigid polar air, and they call it the
- 44:42Speaker 2: polar vortex.
- 44:43Speaker 3: So there you go.
- 44:45Speaker 2: The question is will snow accompany the bitter cold? Not always.
- 44:50Speaker 2: I remember my another meteorologists, Bill Evans, I used to
- 44:53Speaker 2: work with Channel seven. He used to say, sometimes it's
- 44:56Speaker 2: so cold, the air is dry, and you don't have snow.
- 44:59Speaker 2: It could actually be too cold to snow. So they're
- 45:01Speaker 2: not positive.
- 45:02Speaker 4: Yet.
- 45:02Speaker 2: The good news is it'll actually be a little warmer
- 45:05Speaker 2: than usual over Florida. So in the next few weeks,
- 45:07Speaker 2: maybe you can make a little ditch down to Florida
- 45:10Speaker 2: and get away from the cold and spend some time
- 45:12Speaker 2: in the warmth. Seven ten WR the Voice of New York.
- 45:16Speaker 2: So who would you like to see president in twenty
- 45:18Speaker 2: twenty eight? Now, the constitution prevents President Trump from holding
- 45:21Speaker 2: a third term, though if you think about it, here
- 45:25Speaker 2: bear with me for a second. The Constitution says nothing
- 45:28Speaker 2: about running for a third term. It just says you
- 45:31Speaker 2: can't be a third term president. Since you know, they
- 45:34Speaker 2: passed the law since President Fdr. Franklin Dell and Roosevelt served,
- 45:39Speaker 2: he was elected four times and then they passed the
- 45:42Speaker 2: law that you can only be elected twice to president.
- 45:45Speaker 2: But it says nothing about running for president for a
- 45:47Speaker 2: third term. So here's my theory. I know, I'm wacky.
- 45:50Speaker 2: What would happen if President Trump? He has a billion
- 45:53Speaker 2: dollars to waste? What would happen if President Trump were
- 45:56Speaker 2: to run for a third term and if he got
- 45:59Speaker 2: elected to a third term. Now you would say, well,
- 46:02Speaker 2: you can't serve, right, But the American people would have spoken.
- 46:06Speaker 2: So would the Supreme Court get involved and negate the
- 46:09Speaker 2: will of the people. I mean, look, we have a
- 46:11Speaker 2: lot of laws that Democrats choose not to enforce, but
- 46:14Speaker 2: we let them get away with it. Right for four years,
- 46:16Speaker 2: Joe Biden ordered border patrol agents to ignore the border
- 46:19Speaker 2: laws that we have on the books. Let anybody who
- 46:21Speaker 2: wants to stroll into the US stay. That's what brought
- 46:24Speaker 2: us the mess. We have twenty thirty million illegals in
- 46:26Speaker 2: our country, living in the shadows, not paying taxes, taking
- 46:29Speaker 2: jobs away from tax paying Americans, jamming their classrooms, congesting
- 46:33Speaker 2: our highways, filling apartment rentals so you can't get an apartment,
- 46:36Speaker 2: you can't buy a house. Democrats in cities like New
- 46:39Speaker 2: York ordered police not to arrest many criminals because they
- 46:41Speaker 2: wouldn't get prosecuted. Da Alvin Bragg put at that manifesto
- 46:45Speaker 2: as he entered office, telling the city in the world
- 46:48Speaker 2: he intends on not prosecuting a huge number of crimes
- 46:51Speaker 2: to kind of set the record straight for groups that
- 46:54Speaker 2: were unfairly punished in the past. Now we have to
- 46:57Speaker 2: go the other way. Even though these people had nothing
- 46:58Speaker 2: to do with people fifty years ago. We're going to
- 47:01Speaker 2: change things. It was his way of trying to do
- 47:03Speaker 2: what he believed was correcting or wrong. So even though
- 47:06Speaker 2: duly elected legislators voted in laws that were signed off
- 47:10Speaker 2: on by a governor or a mayor, Alvin Bragg single
- 47:13Speaker 2: handedly decided, you know what, now they're not worth enforcing.
- 47:15Speaker 2: Even though he took an oath to uphold the constitution
- 47:18Speaker 2: of the City of New York, State of New York,
- 47:20Speaker 2: federal government, so my point is, if Democrats can randomly
- 47:23Speaker 2: choose what laws to follow and what laws to ignore,
- 47:26Speaker 2: why can't Republicans do the same. Let President Trump run
- 47:29Speaker 2: for a third term. If a majority of people voted
- 47:32Speaker 2: vote him in, why not let him serve? I mean,
- 47:35Speaker 2: I know it sounds preposterous. Twenty five years ago, it
- 47:37Speaker 2: would have sounded preposterous to open our borders to anybody
- 47:40Speaker 2: who wanted to stroll in. It would have sounded preposterous
- 47:42Speaker 2: for local municipalities to ignore federal marijuana laws and let
- 47:46Speaker 2: people walk down the street smoke in a joint unencumbered.
- 47:48Speaker 2: It would have sounded preposterous to even discuss legalizing prostitution,
- 47:53Speaker 2: and it certainly would have sounded preposterous to legalize gay marriage.
- 47:56Speaker 2: My point is the way Democrats push forward their liberal
- 47:59Speaker 2: agis is they start talking about it, then they let
- 48:03Speaker 2: the talk build, then to indoctrinate college students and younger
- 48:06Speaker 2: kids in school, then to push their theories on big
- 48:09Speaker 2: liberal cities. Then they bring it mainstream once they get
- 48:12Speaker 2: their sikaphant media flunkies to report on their craziness as
- 48:16Speaker 2: if it's normal. But I digress. New polls show that
- 48:21Speaker 2: previously supported twenty twenty, a GOP presidential candidate front runner
- 48:25Speaker 2: VP JD. Vance may be slipping a little. McLaughlin and
- 48:28Speaker 2: Associates polling says that President Trump's son, Donald Trump Junior
- 48:33Speaker 2: may be the favorite. According to the polling, in August,
- 48:36Speaker 2: Vance had a twenty point lead over Trump Junior, not
- 48:38Speaker 2: that Trump even announced he wants to run, But now
- 48:41Speaker 2: it looks like they're pretty close to neck and neck.
- 48:44Speaker 2: So who would you vote for on the Republican side
- 48:47Speaker 2: for twenty twenty eight for president? We'd love to know
- 48:49Speaker 2: what you have to say. Seven ten w R. The

- 51:21Speaker 7: I'm in Fort Myers, Ah, I see.
- 51:23Speaker 2: You're on West Coast. I live in Fort Lauderdale half
- 51:25Speaker 2: the time. So we're right across the Alligator Alley, right.
- 51:28Speaker 7: Across right across Hey. So I've been I started making
- 51:32Speaker 7: sausage in an Italian deli back in nanu at New York.
- 51:35Speaker 7: Low pri and o'deri used to be an Arthur Avenue
- 51:37Speaker 7: in the bronx. Sure, And I learned how to make
- 51:39Speaker 7: Italian sausage when I was sixteen years old. And then
- 51:42Speaker 7: I worked in a couple of little a couple of
- 51:44Speaker 7: different meat plants, making sausages and bologna, all this kind
- 51:47Speaker 7: of stuff. But when I make my stuffing, I get
- 51:51Speaker 7: a corn bread mix. I make a homemade loaf of
- 51:53Speaker 7: corn bread overcooking a little bit so it's dry. Then
- 51:57Speaker 7: I add my fresh stage sausage with the peppers, the
- 52:01Speaker 7: onions and the celery.
- 52:05Speaker 2: You're killing me. And then you bake it. You put
- 52:11Speaker 2: Oh here's a question, do you put egg in it?
- 52:14Speaker 7: No? I don't put any egg in it?
- 52:15Speaker 2: Yeah, because some people put egg and some people don't.
- 52:17Speaker 2: I think the egg sometimes congeals it a little too much.
- 52:20Speaker 2: But it all depends. I had some with egg yesterday.
- 52:23Speaker 2: It was delicious. It all depends. Sometimes people have that
- 52:25Speaker 2: magic touch.
- 52:26Speaker 7: Yeah, there's also a good A good. A good recipe
- 52:29Speaker 7: is take a nice caium seeded loaf or the sesame
- 52:32Speaker 7: seed loaf of a Gian bread cube up and use
- 52:34Speaker 7: a Tian sausage for your stuff.
- 52:36Speaker 4: There you go.
- 52:38Speaker 2: I'll tell you that Lori Stokes, I used to work
- 52:40Speaker 2: with a Channel seven. Her recipe is she uses three
- 52:42Speaker 2: types of bread rye, whole grain, whole wheat, and sour
- 52:46Speaker 2: though White cuts down of the cubes, toasts it off
- 52:49Speaker 2: with tons of herbs right on the bread and a
- 52:51Speaker 2: butter spray, and then puts that in with a chicken
- 52:54Speaker 2: stock and a turkey stock mix that was infused with
- 52:57Speaker 2: all those herbs and some garlic. It's to die for,
- 52:59Speaker 2: but I'm going to try that. She then shreds chicken
- 53:03Speaker 2: thigh and puts the chicken thigh in instead of sausage. Unbelievable.
- 53:07Speaker 4: I can't.
- 53:08Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it's it's amazing. It's the most unique stuffing
- 53:11Speaker 2: I've ever had. Anyway, Now I gotta go get some.
- 53:13Speaker 7: Always, always, I always enjoy you when you're in your
- 53:16Speaker 7: hair going in, Mark, thank you so much.
- 53:18Speaker 2: I appreciate you. Have a happy post Thanksgiving and a
- 53:20Speaker 2: good holiday season. Thanks for calling in definitely seven ten
- 53:24Speaker 2: WR the Voice of New York. I'm sorry when I
- 53:26Speaker 2: start talking food, I just go off in tangents h.
- 53:29Speaker 2: I should give everyone my number off here we could
- 53:31Speaker 2: talk off air about it. It is Friday, Ken Rozotto
- 53:34Speaker 2: and Fromar coming up in our next half hour today
- 53:36Speaker 2: may be Black Friday, but are you ready for Cyber Monday?
- 53:39Speaker 2: We have lots of amazing online deals for anybody who
- 53:42Speaker 2: fails to find what they want to find in brick
- 53:44Speaker 2: and mortar stores. Today, Brandon digital strategist Fisher will run
- 53:47Speaker 2: down the deals you'll want to look out for. Coming
- 53:49Speaker 2: up next.
- 53:50Speaker 1: For now, more of the Marximone Show on seven to
- 53:53Speaker 1: ten woor filling in remark here.
- 53:56Speaker 2: Again is Ken Rosado ted Good to be with you
- 53:59Speaker 2: on your Black Friday. It may be Black Friday, but
- 54:02Speaker 2: do you go on shop on Black Friday? Do the
- 54:04Speaker 2: door buster deals like years ago? Because driving in today,
- 54:07Speaker 2: I noticed that a lot of folks who would normally
- 54:10Speaker 2: be out in the parking lots jam in the malls.
- 54:12Speaker 2: I passed two malls. Years past, those malls would be
- 54:15Speaker 2: overflowing in the parking lots and they were only about
- 54:18Speaker 2: half full. Today, I think a lot of people are
- 54:20Speaker 2: just sitting back and using their phones and doing a
- 54:23Speaker 2: little early Cyber Monday ing on their Black Friday. What
- 54:26Speaker 2: would you do? You give us a call eight hundred
- 54:28Speaker 2: three two one zero seven ten. Well, we have lots
- 54:32Speaker 2: of amazing online deals for anybody who fails to find
- 54:34Speaker 2: what they want in brick and mortar stores. Today, brand
- 54:37Speaker 2: and digital strategist Fisher, who can be found on X
- 54:41Speaker 2: and threads with user name at Fisher and through his
- 54:43Speaker 2: website Fisher dot Media, joins us now with more Good morning, Fisher.
- 54:48Speaker 2: Do I push them? Okay, I'll push them? Sorry about that?
- 54:50Speaker 2: There we go? All right, good morning. How are you
- 54:52Speaker 2: sitting waiting for them?
- 54:53Speaker 9: I was waiting for the magic?
- 54:55Speaker 2: There you go the magic? Well listen, so is it?
- 54:59Speaker 2: Am I correct? And that people are not It seems
- 55:03Speaker 2: that they're not going to the malls as much, just
- 55:05Speaker 2: sit at home and press their do their door busting
- 55:08Speaker 2: right on the phone.
- 55:10Speaker 9: I think that you have the combination of both. Right,
- 55:12Speaker 9: there are a lot of in store deals that you
- 55:14Speaker 9: can get today and only can get in store, and
- 55:18Speaker 9: that that's fine. And and also people enjoy that, right,
- 55:21Speaker 9: They enjoy sitting in line or going to the mall.
- 55:24Speaker 9: It's a tradition for the family after Thanksgiving. But yes,
- 55:27Speaker 9: there is cyber money. Don't forget tomorrow. So so small
- 55:30Speaker 9: business Saturday, right, And and I'll say it kind of
- 55:34Speaker 9: like throw that in there. If you're looking for like
- 55:36Speaker 9: pet toys and treats and things like that. Think of
- 55:39Speaker 9: the local pet store or things of that sort tomorrow
- 55:42Speaker 9: to help, you know, keep your local community going. But yes,
- 55:45Speaker 9: cyber Monday is going to be huge, and I will
- 55:47Speaker 9: say something important and I think our friend Scottie B
- 55:49Speaker 9: from down the hall will agree with this. Before you shop,
- 55:53Speaker 9: check your credit cards, Capital One, American Express, Bank of American.
- 55:56Speaker 2: Discover, whatever it is.
- 55:57Speaker 9: There are offers within your credit cards that if you spend,
- 56:00Speaker 9: like my Discover card offers cash back bonus at Amazon
- 56:04Speaker 9: five percent cash back.
- 56:05Speaker 4: Wow.
- 56:06Speaker 9: Check those and opt into everything, even if you think
- 56:10Speaker 9: you may not go because you could stack deals. That's
- 56:12Speaker 9: what it's about, right. Capital One even offers an in
- 56:15Speaker 9: browser extension that will identify a user and say, if
- 56:20Speaker 9: you use your Capital One at this you know to
- 56:21Speaker 9: get this deal, you could get an extra four percent off.
- 56:24Speaker 9: Rakutin is another one. So definitely check those credit card
- 56:28Speaker 9: deals before you actually go spend money. But it is
- 56:31Speaker 9: going to be crazy. Cyber Monday is going to be huge,
- 56:33Speaker 9: and it is every year, but it gains to your
- 56:36Speaker 9: point less people want to be in stores inline, so
- 56:39Speaker 9: they just sit back and wait.
- 56:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I was reading now that cyber Monday is actually
- 56:43Speaker 2: bigger than Black Friday in terms of sales. Back in
- 56:47Speaker 2: two thousand and five, when it started, it was like Oho,
- 56:49Speaker 2: cyber what? And it started as a marketing ploy And now,
- 56:53Speaker 2: I mean almost every online retailer jumped on the bandwagon,
- 56:56Speaker 2: and it's now they generate more sales revenues than I'm
- 56:59Speaker 2: Black Friday. But it's sort of melded together, right because
- 57:02Speaker 2: a lot of the retailers who have their brick and
- 57:04Speaker 2: mortars today, they all are also offering deals online. Right
- 57:11Speaker 2: are you there? Did we loseha? What happened?
- 57:14Speaker 3: Oh?
- 57:14Speaker 2: Get your back somehow something's going on. I don't know
- 57:17Speaker 2: what's going on with the phone lines. They keep popping
- 57:19Speaker 2: you off for some reason that's never happened since I'm here,
- 57:21Speaker 2: just with you, Fisher me. That's it. So now let's
- 57:26Speaker 2: just talk about some specifics because there are some really
- 57:28Speaker 2: cool online bargains. What have you found? Because I see
- 57:31Speaker 2: there's a lot of TVs and things like that.
- 57:33Speaker 9: Absolutely a Target, you can get a fifty five inch
- 57:36Speaker 9: TCL four KTV for two seventy nine. It's regularly four
- 57:40Speaker 9: forty nine. You could get something like an Amazon Firestick
- 57:43Speaker 9: four K for I think it's nineteen dollars, and that's
- 57:47Speaker 9: also a target. Target is offering Apple AirPod Pro threes
- 57:52Speaker 9: for two nineteen. They're regularly two forty nine, and Walmart
- 57:55Speaker 9: and Amazon have Apple AirPod fours for sixty nine bucks.
- 57:58Speaker 9: That's basically half now. Also, think about the other deals
- 58:03Speaker 9: that you can get, like streaming deals. Disney Plus has
- 58:05Speaker 9: several bundles. Hulu subscribers can add Hbo Max or Stars
- 58:10Speaker 9: for two ninety nine a month for a year. Apple
- 58:12Speaker 9: TV has offered so does YouTube TV. It is all
- 58:16Speaker 9: over the place, great deals, great deals going on everywhere.
- 58:20Speaker 9: Wayfair almost eighty percent off home categories, Low's Home Depot,
- 58:24Speaker 9: meal kit delivery services like Hello Fresh and Blue Apron
- 58:28Speaker 9: also offering deals. It is fantastic.
- 58:30Speaker 2: Yeah, when I first saw cyber Monday years ago, I
- 58:33Speaker 2: remember it was mostly electronic items. But no, it's as
- 58:36Speaker 2: long as it's being retailed online, anything qualifies, right, So
- 58:40Speaker 2: including like you said, like Hulu subscriptions and everything.
- 58:43Speaker 9: Yeah, YETI Lululemon. This is really the time and something
- 58:47Speaker 9: that will happen on Monday. Airlines and you know, Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton,
- 58:53Speaker 9: they'll all offer their deals exactly on Monday. They're not
- 58:56Speaker 9: going to give you any sneak peek, like some of
- 58:58Speaker 9: the retailers are today and through the weekend of what's
- 59:01Speaker 9: coming up on Cyber Monday. So another important thing is
- 59:04Speaker 9: sign up for the newsletters because sometimes you get the
- 59:07Speaker 9: deals ahead of time before so that on you know,
- 59:10Speaker 9: at midnight, you know what those deals are and you
- 59:12Speaker 9: can pre plan.
- 59:13Speaker 2: That is really really cool. And you know. One of
- 59:17Speaker 2: the other things that I saw, just because I'm a
- 59:19Speaker 2: geek about this stuff, you know, they're so expensive to
- 59:21Speaker 2: get those little robot vacuums and the really good ones,
- 59:24Speaker 2: because the cheap ones don't really work well. But the
- 59:27Speaker 2: really expensive ones, the ones that are five and six
- 59:29Speaker 2: hundred bucks. I'm seeing some of them on sale now
- 59:31Speaker 2: in the two hundreds. That's a great deal.
- 59:34Speaker 9: Robo Rock has some of their deals at five point
- 59:37Speaker 9: fifty normally one thousand bucks two sixty for the Q
- 59:41Speaker 9: one OS five plus. I don't know if that is,
- 59:45Speaker 9: but it sounds official. It's regularly five fifty. It's down
- 59:48Speaker 9: to two sixty. Definitely check out check out. Amazon has
- 59:52Speaker 9: great deals. Here's a great way to use AI. AI
- 59:55Speaker 9: is our friend in the sense that you can go
- 59:57Speaker 9: to AI and say, hey, I'm looking for seventy five
- 59:59Speaker 9: in television that works with Amazon Echo or Amazon Alexa.
- 1:00:06Speaker 9: I don't want to spend over a certain amount of money,
- 1:00:08Speaker 9: and it will help you. Also, when you see a deal,
- 1:00:12Speaker 9: you know whether it's the Apple AirPods Pro three before
- 1:00:16Speaker 9: you buy it at Target, just put in a Google
- 1:00:18Speaker 9: search Apple AirPods Pro three and see what comes back.
- 1:00:22Speaker 9: You might be able to get a better deal at
- 1:00:24Speaker 9: BNH Photo or at Costco or whatever it is. Search
- 1:00:29Speaker 9: do a little research before you pull the trigger, and
- 1:00:32Speaker 9: again look for your credit card deals because you can
- 1:00:34Speaker 9: stack those offers and get more money off or points
- 1:00:38Speaker 9: towards your credit card, whatever that is. So you could
- 1:00:40Speaker 9: actually get a deal like Apple, for example, is offering
- 1:00:44Speaker 9: discounts on older devices. Not old or older, but the
- 1:00:46Speaker 9: iPhone seventeen's out, so iPhone sixteen has discounts, and then
- 1:00:50Speaker 9: they're gonna add a gift card on top of it.
- 1:00:53Speaker 9: But you could get the direct discount with the basically
- 1:00:56Speaker 9: the gift card at Amazon. So don't be fooled by
- 1:00:58Speaker 9: just a one stop place that says, hey, this is
- 1:01:00Speaker 9: a great deal. Do your research, use AI, check your
- 1:01:04Speaker 9: credit cards. They might have deals too. There's a lot
- 1:01:07Speaker 9: of ways to save and get great deals.
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: I love it. This man is full of great knowledge.
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: Brand and digital strategist Fisher Fi s h e. R.
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: Who can be found on X and Threads with username
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: at Fisher and through his website Fisher dot Media. Thank
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: you so much for joining us this morning. A post
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: Happy Thanksgiving and happy Cyber Monday to come you too, Ken,
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: thanks so much, I thank you so much. Fisher. It's
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: get RISOTTOWI from Mark on your Friday. When we come back,
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: we'll take more of your calls, so give us a call.
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: The number is eight hundred three two one zero seven ten,
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: eight hundred three two one zero seven ten for WR.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: Seven ten wr Ken from Mark Today. Here's Ken rosattohy.
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: Good to be with you. Our phone lines here open
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten, eight
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: hundred three to two one zero seven ten. We got
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: just a couple of minutes, so we'll take a call
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: if we want to call us up right now. For
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: those that didn't hear the story, we did before that
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: one of our callers was talking about it almost sounds
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: like a story out of the Onion, like a humor story.
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: But apparently it's allegedly true. A tech firm in Russia
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: as apparently tampered with first cowbrains in a bid to
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: boost milk yields. So they messed around with the brains
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: thinking that would trigger off more milk in the cows. Now,
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: Vladmir Putin says his scientists have launched a squadron of
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: remote controlled spy pigeons for real. That's what he claims,
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: fitted with brain implants. The picture, I'm sorry, look at
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: the picture. I have to laugh. These poor birds, the
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: bird brains. The picture shows all these pigeons with this
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: giant contraption on their heads. I don't know how they
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: can hold their heads up with like a camera, like
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: a helmet and a camera. And apparently there's an electrode
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: into the poor bird's brain, and the birds apparently can
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: be triggered to fly in certain areas. So the thought
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: is that they could get them, because they could fly
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: pigeons up the three hundred miles or so a day.
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: The thought is you can get them to fly over
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: Ukraine low enough that you can get a good camera shot,
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: et cetera, and kind of spy on people. But you
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: can only imagine that this might be a low cost
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: drone concept or whatnot that you know. Knowing the Russians,
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: they could be planning anything, because they say that their
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: next step is to try implanting these things into bigger birds,
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: ravens and you know, larger birds that could carry something ostensibly,
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: and that was sort of the threat. Without saying what
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: the thought was. You can imagine what they would love
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: to do with a bigger bird, an eagle or something
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: that could fly several hundred miles into a nation potentially
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: carrying something and then be triggered to release it. But
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: in case you hear more about that, you heard it
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: here first. Ladimir Putin and these spipe pigeons seven t
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: wo are the voice of New York. It's Ken Risotto
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: win for Mark Simon on Black Friday. We just talked
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: with our brand and digital strategist Fish, who had just
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: I couldn't keep up with the man with the great
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: ideas he had. There are so many things on sale
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: today and like he said, if you don't want to
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: stand in line with the stores, you could do in
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: early Cyber Monday. A lot of deals are online today,
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: but as he said, some stores are waiting till actual
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: Cyber Monday on Monday, and you have small business Saturday tomorrow.
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: So patronize your small local businesses. They work very very hard.
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: In a lot of cases, their profit margins are not
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: very big. So definitely take care of the local folks.
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: Show them you love. Especially, like Fisher said, you know
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: pet stores and things like that that might be in
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: your neighborhood. I'm sure they could use your business. It'd
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: be good for you to help me. Little great, little
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: clothing stores in a lot of areas, definitely worth checking out.
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: Seven ten wore the Voice of New York and of
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: course to recap what we were talking about earlier. Of course,
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: there's the big story the President Trump's been talking about
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: our National Guard member who was shot. One of the
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: two passed away yesterday. She's only twenty. Her family, Please
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: keep them in your prayers. The name Sarah Beckstrom, twenty
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: years old, volunteered specifically to work for the holiday week
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: so that other members of the Guard could be off.
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: Just keep her and her family in your prayers, because well,
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: we're enjoying Cyber Monday and Black Friday and having Thanksgiving.
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: Her family is planning a funeral, and that is also
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: that we can remain free in this country. Well, Mark,
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: we'll be back in the seat on Monday. Thank you
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: to my dear friend Mark, and thank you to War
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: and to you for letting me sit in today. I'm
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: Ken Rosatto. Don't go anywhere. Buck Sexton and Clay Travis
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: are coming up ahead at three o'clock. It's the most
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: listened to radio talk show and all of America. Sean Hannity,
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: Jesse Kelly's on at six o'clock. The Great Jimmy Fayala
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: is in at nine Funny Show and the Man is
- 1:05:49Speaker 2: smart as heck. And Mark is in every weekday ten
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: to noon. If you want to hear more of Mark,
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: all you have to do is check out the podcast
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: at seven to ten War. He has that bonus edition too.
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: He does the weekend bucking Clay after the news. Have
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: a great and wonderful weekend.
