- Ted Turner: What's up, Dog Nation? Welcome to Dogs Down South. Hope you're having a great night. It is host Georgia, Alabama, with the fellas. And man, I know that Kirby and the team has to move on to Auburn. But for us tonight, it ain't even Hump Day yet. So we're still we're Adam Fisher: Yeah, yeah. Ted Turner: still good to enjoy a little Georgia, Alabama, and a little taste of victory. Wanna welcome in the fellas. What's up, Fish? How are you today, man? Adam Fisher: What's up man? Doing good, doing well. Ted Turner: Now you you s you you survive after your blood pressure spikes on Saturday night. We didn't hear much from you. Adam Fisher: Dude, I didn't come down till Sunday. Like Richman: Yeah. Adam Fisher: it it was hard for me to sleep. Like I really was just laying there. I watched the game, you know, a couple of times since then and that night even I watched it as soon as it was over, I started it back over and watched it. Ted Turner: Crazy man. Crazy. What's up, Rich man? How's your night going, man? Richman: Good, good. Ted Turner: Rich man's been texting me memes and gifs and videos. Like I am in the no of all the smack talk after the game, which it Adam Fisher: Mm. Ted Turner: should be like this, man. I mean, we said last week we're like, man, to be able to go live on the podcast after Georgia has a victory against Alabama in the regular season, it's just kind of a day that we need to just enjoy because it hasn't happened much. We've been depressed. We've been talking about this game in a way where we want half the coaching staff fired, half the players kicked off the team, and still trying to figure out how in the hell to beat Alabama, which we all know we jumped to conclusions every year, but at the end of the day, man, it's nice to be on the winning side. Georgia went into Tuscaloosa, walked into one of the toughest environments in college football, walked out with a twenty seventeen victory over Alabama. Fish, I'll start with you with our little fish out of water recap segment. Adam Fisher: Yeah. Ted Turner: give me your thoughts on the game, man. Tell me what you thought. And, you know, as we say, man, lie down on the couch and get it all out. Adam Fisher: No, it was I mean, just all the all the wind I feel like got sucked out of their sails. You know, it was all, you know, setting up for them to have like one of those game days where like it's all Alabama, you know, Georgia's the enemy, we're the villain, we're coming in, you know, we're trying to spoil their Saban release, documentary release on Thursday and all that stuff, and then here comes a hurricane that just rains all over. their parade, so to speak, and it was a red and black hurricane. It it it was it was so awesome. It was fun to watch. and it's even been fun. I tuned in and watched Feinbaum yesterday and just all the Bama fans that were just crying. Crying and even Paul himself was was cutting Georgia fans off. Like he wasn't letting them finish. He was hanging up on You know, he didn't want to hear it 'cause you know he's a huge Bama fan and He's hung up on, you know, how the game ended. You know, he said that the game would have ended differently if that PI had been called. And I'm sitting here trying to figure out how that's possible. It's a fifteen yard penalty because it happened the penal he threw it from outside beyond the seventeen. So it's only a fifteen yard penalty. It's not an automatic first and goal on the two, like many people think. It's not the NFL, it's college, the rules are different. so Ted Turner: Right. Adam Fisher: it would have been first and ten on the twenty four. There's no guarantee they go in and score. There's no guarantee that dude makes a field goal. You know. Richman: No, not at all. I mean they were they were down on the 29 after the interception and they never even got points off of it. So I mean they Adam Fisher: Yep. So just Richman: had plenty opportunities. Adam Fisher: Yeah, they did. And all the crying has been hilarious. Like, you know, when it happens to the when when it happens to them, Richman: Dude, it's been high entertainment. High entertainment. Adam Fisher: you know, it's no, like, you know, call the president, you know, call somebody, call get Congress involved, you know, this is this in the College Protection Act, you know, is that is Richman: Yeah, it's like this has never happened to anybody before. Adam Fisher: like they've never gotten the benefit of the doubt, okay? Like they've never had a blown call go their way. Like you remember back in twenty eighteen, Tyler Simmons, that block punt, that would have set us up at first and like first and goal on the seven yard line and we were already up thirteen to nothing in that national championship game against them. And then the Revs blew that call and it was clear as day he wasn't off sides, but you know, they blew it and it's non reviewable. Richman: Yeah, yeah, it's clear. Adam Fisher: You know, Ted Turner: Right. Adam Fisher: and I don't Richman: . Adam Fisher: remember Crying and you know, doing all the call in shows and everybody, all the media experts and ESPN talking heads, you know, harping on that, you know, saying that had anything to do with anything in that game because it was Bama and it was Nicki Sab I mean Nicki Sabin. You know? So it it goes both ways. It goes both Ted Turner: Yeah. Yeah. Adam Fisher: ways. Ted Turner: Yeah. Rich man, I I think we'll call yours the rich just keep getting richer. Give me your take, man. Richman: Yeah, dude, it was this high entertainment man. Outside of the penalty stuff though, I mean, what a game. What a game. mean, we had players everywhere in every position group just making incredible individual plays. it was like, if you look back, you know, you're like every one of them is like, we needed that play to advance. You know, every one of them counted. It was amazing. Just amazing. Unbelievable game. Ted Turner: Yeah, I agree, man. I mean, 2017, I think, you know, if you haven't done so, I I have checked. We are live on TikTok right now. So welcome in if you're on the TikTok side. you can hear everything. This is a this is a first time. So we're live on TikTok. You can hear fish, you can hear Rich Man. Used to they could only hear me, guys. So now they can hear all of you. So I'll try to keep Adam Fisher: Awesome. Ted Turner: up the best with the chats and the notes as well. but biggest thing that I thought, in my opinion, was it was just adversity. was something we faced all game. We had to, Richman: Yep. Ted Turner: you know, we we opened the game and and I I gave my recap on Sunday night, late Sunday night. And if you haven't checked it out, go check it out on Apple Podcasts, YouTube. And also dropped the new week seven power rankings. But adversity just showed its head every single quarter. You looked and we were up ten zero and then we allowed the run that in initially set up the score. Then we turn around the score that in my opinion You know, if we're gonna if we're gonna start talking about the PI, we're gonna talk about the holding call. The holding call actually would have taken a T D off the board. And I know you can say, well, you can hold every play, but there's a rule of thumb. And most of the time it's the center, if the center is free, tight ends are wide receivers. When I say the t when I say it's the center is free, in other words, if it's pass pro, and normally you're gonna get that nose right where where he was, Jordan Hall right on the center. Richman: So, thank Ted Turner: You're gonna see that every time. Tight ends, wide receivers, they they should get called for holds. That would have taken a touchdown off hit off the table. It didn't. Obviously, Bama goes in 14-10 after they get into the end zone. Through that, it's like, man, you felt like when we were up ten zero, it was like this is a this is a good place. We're gonna be in a good place. Now we're in a bad place, it feels right. And then we go drive the length of the field. we're up, you know. and have a missed field goal in that whole mix and everything like that. We have our our field position all night long was horrendous. Horrendous. And so I Richman: Terrible. Thank you. Adam Fisher: Terrible. Ted Turner: think the biggest thing that kept coming to mind for me, it was like this team on the road showed incredible adversity. Like like the like what we did against adversity was huge for us. And it's going to be huge for us the rest of the year. it was just a big win all in all. My question to kind of start the night as is I want to go to both of you guys. Who gets your and you can only have one? And I know it's very hard because Richman just said there's multiple players, but if you're Kirby and you're walking into the locker room like Richman, I'll go to you first. Who gets your game ball for the for the Alabama game? Richman: My game ball goes to the O-line. I mean, Ted Turner: Wow. Good. Richman: the fact that we The fact that we were able to put 206 yards on the ground with a third, fourth and fifth running back, that's just unbelievable. And it's a testament to the offensive line. I mean, they were just the holes. I I saw big holes and I saw slots that looked like you put a coin through it, that our backs were just blazing through. moving so fast. Wow, what a performance by the O-line. Ted Turner: Yeah. I agree. Fish, who's your game ball go to? Adam Fisher: Outside of Dwight Phillips. I'm I'm I'm going K J. Ted Turner: S sneaky. Sneaky. Adam Fisher: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I'm go I'm going KJ because he just what a what a chance to redeem himself after that last play two years ago when he got twisted up. Him and Aguero got twisted up by Ryan Williams. You know, like it it it it was a complete one eighty of his last trip there. And like what sweet redemption after that, you know, he got the the sack to put him out of field goal range right there on their last drive, you know, just Couldn't be more happy for the dude, man. Like he played lights out. But he needs to calm down, man. He needs to quit trying to kill people because he's kind of little. You know, I don't know Ted Turner: Yeah. Adam Fisher: if he's built for that. We got five more games, you know, or six more games, I'm sorry, Ted Turner: Yeah. Adam Fisher: you know. So he need chill out. Ted Turner: Yeah, no, I agree. it it was hard for me. I I I you can't go outside of Gunner Stockton, man. Like eighteen for twenty-four. I mean, yeah, he had a couple of throws where he just wanted to go, man, you're trying to do too much. And one one was picked. I the Bray Hubbard pick was just an incredible play, man. The second one was could have been the backbreaker. And to see him make some of those throws in his own end zone almost was incredible. Incredible. I mean, I'm sh it was incredibly loud. I mean, that environment is is top five in my opinion in college football, especially at that time and and and place, obviously. But Gunner just did everything. I mean, he he did what a fifth year guy should do, right? you know, I I had a question the other day and it really riled me up, man. It somebody asked me, they said, why not why why didn't Texas or or Florida or Ole Miss or I don't even want to use Ole Miss. How about Oklahoma or maybe even Texas AM? Why didn't they want a Gunnar Stockton? Like Arch Manning, right? Why didn't they want a Gunnar Stockton? Just curiosity, because I know what my answer was. And it was because they it it's all about if I can pay for winning success. And the name on the jersey and come in and get instant success. That's what I want. But talk about Gunner being the poster child, if you call it, for Kirby Smart and what he loves to do, and that's develop players and be bought into the program. He's a dog. I mean, why, why? I mean, any e any of you can chime in. Why not Gunnar's talking to Texas? Adam Fisher: Dude, I feel like when he's standing back there on the five Whatever it is. He's just got some country song playing in his head and he cannot hear the music. He's just tuned it out. Man, he was the the the poster child for calm. You know, like just never doesn't ever seem rattled, man. This year's different. This is a different quarterback Richman: Yeah, he's Adam Fisher: than we had last year, man. He he's different. He's grown up a lot. Richman: He is definitely dialed in. Adam Fisher: Yeah. Like, and you know, I add a to your question, like. Out of all those teams, whose team is having more success right now and in that three Ted Turner: Mm-hmm. Adam Fisher: or four years that he's been with us? Which teams have had more success, Ted Turner: Yeah, yeah. Adam Fisher: you know? Ted Turner: Yeah. Richman: Well, he was recruited by Alabama and wasn't he gonna, wasn't he looking at going to Alabama? And then he changed it, came back. Ted Turner: No, he was he was it was South Carolina. That was South Carolina. Richman: Was it South Carolina or I thought it was Alabama. But I mean, Ted Turner: Yeah, he was it was South Carolina. Richman: but he's not the, he's not the flashy quarterback, you know, and they're flashy Ted Turner: Yeah, so Richman: quarterbacks all over the SCC, but, they make fantastic plays and do create, you know, unbelievable things, but they're inconsistent. And I think, I mean, I think that's just, Gunner's almost like a savant this year. You know, it's just like nothing but. I'm getting in there and I'm doing this and that's all I'm doing and I'm not talking about anything else. I'm not distracted by the media. I'm not distracted by anything. I'm not distracted by the almost interception or the fumbles or whatever. He's just not distracted. Ted Turner: It's just it's wild to see it it Richman to your point, the distractions. Isn't it isn't it isn't that part of the distraction though? Like the money, the NIL, the poster child thing for Texas, for all these teams, it's like it just kind of just lines up, man. It's a truck and it's this and everybody kind of laughed it off. But like Richman: Well, I was listening to a podcast and they were talking about four guys that came back on the O line and I can't remember which team it was and they're all getting seven figures and they Ted Turner: Mm-hmm. Richman: haven't improved Adam Fisher: Cheers. Richman: at all this year. You know, and it's like, Ted Turner: Mm-hmm. Richman: you know, what they were saying is have they not improved because of the money distraction? Because they got a bag full of money and they're just not motivated? What is it? All four of those guys they were talking about could have gone last year and be playing in the NFL this year. Ted Turner: Uh-huh. Yeah. Richman: And I was thinking about that a lot. That's very fascinating. It's like, what is NIL doing? Is NIL, I wonder sometimes, has something to do with lot of the inconsistency because of the distractions? Ted Turner: Yeah. But I mean, it did it just kinda go away from like kind of the greed and where we're at today. It's like if I want something, I I just go get it. Instead of like the hard the hard work, the deep dive hard work, right? I mean, Gunnar Stockton, right? I mean, right now Texas, I mean, couldn't go beat Oklahoma. I mean, you're looking at at Texas in this fifty million dollar roster. Arch Manning, who's predicted to be a top ten pick. He can't even get out of the Red River against an Oklahoma team that couldn't even hold a candle to Georgia this year. You got I mean, you got Marcel Reid, who I mean, they have no offense in Texas AM, right? You have I mean, you don't think T Tennessee would love a quarterback right now? Jeez, man. I mean, Sam Levitt, I mean, go out I mean, that was that was I mean, Lane Giffin's like, I'll go get Sam Levitt. I'll go meet him in the airport Richman: What a bus. Ted Turner: and he's just throwing steamers everywhere, man. I mean, it's it's just Adam Fisher: Yeah. Ted Turner: it's an absolute like It's kinda hilarious, man. It's like then you got Gunnar Stockton. Richman: I mean, I think we've talked about this summer, we talked about this, you know, that we seem to think that the NIL and the portal is gonna make football sloppier. It's not gonna make it better. know, these players are coming in, they've never played with a team before. They're here now, they're gone tomorrow. There's no time to gel. There's no relationships. There's no nothing. we anticipated that it would be sloppy, but what's so... freaking awesome is the dogs don't seem to be like that. They seem to be dialed in. don't see, I mean, all of the guys that they interview, they don't seem to be preoccupied with stuff, with fur coats and feathers in their hat and whatever else that comes with a seven figure bag of money. I don't know. But Ted Turner: Lambos, man, Lamborghinis, Texas. Richman: these guys at Georgia just don't seem to be fixated on that. Ted Turner: Yeah. No, I agree, man. I just, man, I just want to look and go, you had Gunner down so low on all these lists in the SEC. I personally think right now, I mean look take don't forget Lenore Sellers over here. I mean, Pride Richman: yeah. Ted Turner: and Joy of South Carolina, who's supposed to be a top fifteen pick this year, but I would venture to say that I'm not being biased. I think Gunner right now is the best quarterback in the SEC. Like I really do. Richman: I like song. Ted Turner: Tell me Tell me somebody who is outplaying him right now. Because I would have told you maybe Comario Taylor two weeks ago until he until he gave Alabama three blessings in the middle of that game. I mean, tell me a quarterback who is playing better than Gunnar Stockton right now. I'll wait. There isn't anybody, guys. There literally isn't and we're not even being biased. So I mean Adam Fisher: No. No. Richman: No, mean look, he went into Alabama right after a hurricane and completes 81 % of his passes and scores a touchdown Ted Turner: In the wind. Richman: with his legs. Adam Fisher: Un unfaz by the by the b by the moment. Unfazed, completely unfazed. Richman: Yeah. Ted Turner: Well, before we move on tonight, let's flip the script real quick because I do think that this Alabama team, I'm impressed with Kalen Deboer. I think he he is doing a really good job of making this his team. I still think he needs to get he needs to get his demeanor together. I mean, coming off of what Sabin looked like on the sideline, he looks he just looks like a you know, he's like i he just he just stole his cat, man, every time you look over there at the sideline. But one thing I will say is is they had A lot of talent on both sides of the ball. I was very impressed. We we talked about how Alabama needed to improve in the run game. I mean, Georgia outrushed him on the road, which was crazy because no Nate Frazier, you know, no Chauncey Bowen, Dwight Phillips Jr., you got Peel, you got you got Bo Walker. And if you'd have told me, I mean, I said it in the group chat, I was like, if you'd have told me that these three guys were gonna be our running backs tonight. I would say this is gonna be incredibly hard, but instead, the offensive line in these backs go, we're not only gonna make this look easy, we're gonna outrush you with your top two, three dogs. So I mean, that was that was huge. That was huge, man. But let me ask you this Adam Fisher: Dude, we could have hit those holes, buddy. We we could have hit those holes. Ted Turner: for Alabama. What I'll go to each you guys. If you could take one of Alabama's players, because I do feel like their defense was really was really good. I thought one of the best the best defense, neck and neck with Oklahoma. I I would say give any given day. I thought Oklahoma still looks good. But if you could take one of the Alabama players and go, Man, I'll take him and put him on Georgia's team, who would that be for you? Rich, did d did one person stand out to you that you would like I'll take him right now? Richman: For next year or right now? Ted Turner: Right now, if you could have him right now, who would it be? Richman: I don't remember his name, but that edge rusher they got, that dude was... Ted Turner: twenty two? I think twenty two is his name, yeah. Yeah, he was he was good. Isn't it crazy that we didn't s Right. Right, Keelan Richman: Was it 22? I can't remember. I mean, I'd love to have feeling Russell next year, man. Adam Fisher: Yeah, twenty two, I think. Yeah. Ted Turner: Russell is that would be good. Fish, what about you? You could take one guy. I'm gonna name mine and you if you I'm gonna name mine Adam Fisher: I thought I thought about Keelan. I I thought about Ted Turner: and you guys are gonna be like, Yep. Adam Fisher: I thought about Keelan but for next year to finish the year behind Gunner, learn a few things, Richman: Yeah. Adam Fisher: get a little more polished, and he'll be our guy next year. but no, give me their safety dude, Hubbard. That dude that dude's Ted Turner: Ray Hubbard, yeah. Adam Fisher: good that dude's good. That dude's balling. Ted Turner: Yeah. You know Bra Bray Hubbard started at Tennessee. Adam Fisher: Yep. He was balling. He was one of the bright moments, run of bright sh bright whatever for them that game. Yep. Richman: Yeah, he was all over the place. He was tough. Ted Turner: Yeah. I I would have taken you guys see Mets, number four, that linebacker? Jeez, Adam Fisher: Mm-hmm. Richman: Yeah, he's tough. Ted Turner: man. Like, I mean, that would make our linebacker crew absolutely like it's already disgusting. It would make it look like it'd just be like, let me just kind of here. Here are the keys to the bus. You take it. he Adam Fisher: L be you. Ted Turner: was so good, man. He reminded me of like the old, like, Dean, Richman: Old school linebackers. Ted Turner: you know, These guys that used to just on those like like what reminded me of those old Rake Ro Roquan Wilson, Roquan Smith, sorry. When we s when people used to throw screen passes, those guys would literally beat the blockers to where they were going and just blow up screens. Like that, you know, Nakoby Dean, that was what was one of his big specialties. Raylan does a good job of that as well. I all of our linebackers do a good job of that. CJ did a great job with that. You know, back in the day Roquan did. But like Mets blew up two of two of our screen passes. Yes. Richman: They were fast on the perimeter. We just didn't get a lot off the perimeter like we normally do. mean most of our Ted Turner: Yeah, I totally agree. Richman: running game was up the middle, man. Right up the Adam Fisher: Yep. Richman: pipe. Adam Fisher: Just killing Ted Turner: Yeah, I agree. I agree. Richman: Yeah, it was tackle to tackle. And then we had a few where they got outside, but man. Ted Turner: So before we get off Alabama, I mean, it would be nothing like to get real because we're we're coming into some conversation about Auburn. you know, we we gotta s we gotta stare let down in the face and make sure that we don't allow it. But I think this would be a good lead into Auburn. But when you look at a takeaway, all the takeaways that you l that that we had against Alabama, some of the questions I have for you guys and we'll kind of just open for discussion is, you know, did Georgia leave Like d do you feel like we left too many points on the field? It obviously was unlike it was unlike Peyton Woodring to miss a field goal like he missed. It was kind of unlike us, especially as good as we are in the red zone, to settle for that field goal. I would have really loved to be up twenty four seventeen instead of twenty seventeen. I feel like, you know, we we can question that that call as many times as we want to, but I feel like if you're not dialing up a tight end or you're not giving an RPO to Gunner. I just feel like that kind of let Alabama off the hook, right? But what do you guys feel like? I mean, do you feel like we left too many points out there as far as moving forward? I mean, I feel like later in the season, if we don't capitalize on some of those right there. Richman: Yeah, we definitely left points on the the table I mean if nothing else we left three, but I mean if we could have if we could score them that other Drive where we kicked the three Ted Turner: Yeah. Yeah, I agree. Adam Fisher: Yep. Absolutely. Ted Turner: Fish, Fish, how how concerning were mistakes for you? I mean, we all witnessed the fumbles, the the things that could have really the interception, like how how concerning when you were watching the game were the mistakes? We weren't hearing much from you, so I I didn't want to intentionally call out anything because I get that way sometimes Adam Fisher: I did Ted Turner: too. Adam Fisher: dude, I didn't know what was gonna come out of my fingers if I started typing. Like, you know. And Ted Turner: Right. Right. Adam Fisher: I wanna and and I was trying, like I said, like, you know, we've talked about this, like this is a different year. I have a different approach to to game day now. You know, some Ted Turner: Yeah. Adam Fisher: of my old rituals that I used to do, you know, I don't do anymore. I don't lay out my clothes the night before. I don't wear the same, you know, shirt, underwear, socks, you know, shoot blah blah blah, you know, every game. You Richman: Thank you. Adam Fisher: know, I'm just letting it ride. You know, just just letting fate dictate what happens. you know, so but you know, it it wasn't a perfect game, but you know, it was a it was a good game. Like the we still played really well. Like, you know, they were, you know, just hitting hard and you know Be going after the ball really fat, you know, like just like, you know, talk about Alabama's speed on defense, man. What about ours out there on the edge, dude? Our safeties Ted Turner: Mm-hmm. Adam Fisher: were flying, blowing up their screens too, like third and one, third and two. They oughta get it. You know, they throw the ball, it's complete. You know, there's nobody within three or four yards, and boom, out of nowhere. You know, number fourteen, I can't think of his name right this second, just comes out of nowhere and takes the legs out, or Ellis Robinson did the same thing. Hell, he was coming in so fast Ted Turner: Yeah, Dinkins. Adam Fisher: one time he did a three sixty on the ground on his belly. He hit the guy so Ted Turner: Yeah. Adam Fisher: hard when he hit the ground he just completely spun around. Like, dude, I love seeing that. I love seeing that. But yeah, we've obviously got some stuff we need to clean up. Richman: You know, some of that was because Alabama's so good, but I mean, we, had what four fumbles that, and we recovered them back, you know, and, and we gave up some big, big gashing plays. mean, Keelan was going to get his runs, but some of the past plays that we gave up, we kept letting them get back in and, and you know, credit to them, their, their quality. I mean, They could, that might be the best two teams in the country, to be honest with you. So yeah, Adam Fisher: That's what a lot of people are talking about. Ted Turner: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah. Richman: I mean, this, looks like there's stuff, know, the mistakes, but you know, some of that, you just got to give credit to the other side because they had so much talent on their side. But, you know, going forward, hopefully we, you know, don't drop the ball on the ground four times. And maybe, maybe we do, you know, a little bit better with our. and not get burnt with these big plays. I mean really, if we could just next week, you know, maintain our running game and not give up big plays, we're going to be fine. Ted Turner: Yeah. Yeah, I agree, man. Well, I mean, I think we can I don't know if we can put Alabama completely to bed. I think this is one of those victories. But, you know, humbleness is a week away. Kirby always says that right. But I do as we end tonight the on the on Georgia, Alabama, I will say I I I don't think Georgia beat Alabama because it played a perfect game and and kind of following up what both of you guys said. I I think Georgia beat Alabama because it made the plays that mattered. when the game was on the line. And that was the key, Richman: Yep. Ted Turner: I think, when cause, you know, Keelan had his opportunities. I think the run game for Alabama had the opportunities. Hell, Georgia had the opportunities in the run game some and some points to you feel like put the game away. And let's not forget, you know, the the gift at the end of the personal foul. So opportunities mattered and Georgia was it was just very disciplined. And you know, you look at Kirby Smart and and and man, the the chats every week. And I know I mentioned it every week, but I'm gonna keep saying it until you do it, man. Take the phone away from your from your your daddies and your your granddads and all them. Dear Lord, man, when you're calling for Kirby and Schumann and Bobo's head and like when you're doing all this stuff mid-game, man, you just you just don't, man, have one more spit in the spittoon and go outside and chug a cold beer and come back because it ain't that serious, man. Like it it we play four quarters for a reason, you know? And so. Richman: Luke. Adam Fisher: Yeah. Richman: I mean it was such a good game and I was sitting there in the third quarter still thinking you know we've dropped the ball on the ground so many times and we've seen these things happen and I'm not sure we're gonna win you know I Ted Turner: Mm-hmm. Richman: mean I'm thinking this might be just like another Alabama game where because they definitely had the big play potential that's for sure. Ted Turner: Right, right. Richman: And I think we'll see him again, you know, I if you look at the box score We handed them pretty good spanking with you know, the total yardage. I mean Gunner was 81 % 18 or 22 Who does that against a team like Alabama? That's crazy But yeah, so Yeah, but Ted Turner: Yeah, we w we won every caption. I mean every major caption. Every major caption. But it came down to a PI. That's hilarious. I Adam Fisher: Honor. Yeah. That's crap. Ted Turner: mean, it maybe did come down to a PI, but it didn't come down to the actually if you really want to talk about it, the biggest play in Alabama's eyes should be when you decided to throw a couple of jabs. I mean, that's just undisciplined football. Richman: Well, the play Adam Fisher: Yep. Richman: that won the game for us was that pass that Gunnar hit Elias. Because we were, what was it, like third and 22 or something crazy? Ted Turner: Yeah. Yeah. Richman: And we get that third down conversion and hey, we're off to the races. It's a different ball game now. We might be able to ride this thing out and take a knee. But without that play. Ted Turner: Yeah, I don't I cr I agree. Richman: They're getting the ball back. Ted Turner: Yeah, I agree. I agree. Well, moving on, we we got so obviously Georgia and Kirby and the team have probably since about Sunday afternoon moved into the Deep South's oldest rivalry, Auburn, Saturday, October seventeenth, three thirty PM, be at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Georgia. Obviously emotional victory over Alabama, but Auburn's got an offense. under head coach Alex Golish, first year head coach Alex Golish that can, you know, it can use tempo. It can he can it can utilize the vertical passing game, challenge the defense, in in those areas. And Georgia, you know, has to prepare for another physical SEC football game, right? you got, you know, this is a game last year that you just felt like when we went into Auburn that you kind of felt the same way in some in some areas. You were like, I think we've think we have more talent on the offensive side, think we have more talent on the defensive side. But it doesn't matter unless you clock in and you go to work. And that's what Kirby's gonna have to get them over this week is the is the letdown, right? The the the big letdown and how are you going to come out and how are emotions flying and can they get up for Georgia Auburn? I know me and Fish were discuss I mean me and Rich were discussing it before we got on air and I do think this is Auburn, right? I think if it was a Vanderbilt, if it was a Mississippi State or But but it's Auburn, right? This is a this is one of the the most played teams that we've played you know in the history of of Georgia football. just right off the bat, really if I gave you thirty seconds, each one of you guys, fish I'll give it to you first. What what what kind of what do you think when you think Georgia Auburn? Adam Fisher: so many memories, so many games, you know, just all the history, the pageantry that exists between these two teams. You know, Vince Dooley and Pat Dye. You know, one went to like Vince Dooley went to Auburn, Pat Dye played at Georgia, and then they decide to go coach at Ted Turner: Crazy. Adam Fisher: different like just all that, dude. It's it it's it's it's awesome. This is one of my favorite rivalries for us. And it's it's a game I look forward to seeing every year. Ted Turner: Rich, what stands out to you Auburn? Richman: Yeah, this is this one. And this one's big for us. People don't know this, but we grew up about an hour and what 1520 minutes from Auburn. So a lot of a lot of our friends went to school there. So was a big deal for us locally. But you know, Auburn's they always play us tough even, you know, even when they're don't have the. You know the best teams, the best coaching going on in the last few years, but they still. They show up to play ball and they give us Adam Fisher: They do. Richman: fits. And I expect it to be the same. And I hope we don't have a let down where we're just flat because we've been known to do that. I mean, really, feel like if we can just come out and run the ball and, you know, if we can run the ball and gunners can complete some passes and get a few big plays down the field, I think we'll be fine. the big fear going into this is kind of an emotional letdown after a game like last week with Alabama. Because, wow, was one of the biggest games I remember since any of the national championships, for sure. Ted Turner: Yeah. Yeah, I agree. just usually have statistical things here, but I think an outlier that I will say more than digging into the statistics right now would be obviously Goalish comes from the background of the Josh Heipel you know, offense, spreads you really wide. It wants to create tempo, it wants to create big, you know, big outside run scheme. It wants you to go one on one in the box and And that's gonna challenge us on Saturday because you're talking about an offense that's a little more pro style with Alabama. And but I would definitely say if Keelan Russell doesn't get you ready for Byron Brown, nothing will because Byron Brown relies on his legs. I don't know if anybody were gonna play this year, maybe besides Trinidad Chambliss, is gonna have the legs and the and the I would just say the the elusiveness of Keelan Russell. but obviously that that's a big name. Byron Brown obviously came with goalish from USF. he had 107 Richman: you Ted Turner: rushing yards and a rushing touchdown against Tennessee two weeks ago. They had a bye week this week, coincidentally, right? and then Richman: Okay. Ted Turner: they rely heavily on if Brown can get going, that opens up the passing game. I think, you know, I feel like this could be a game where that Auburn tries to Richman: So thank So, Ted Turner: I think what Auburn saw out of Vanderbilt is something that could possibly be used from a lot of teams. I think if you can get Georgia, if you can get Georgia with the run game a little bit and you can make them have to respect it, I think that's where some chunk plays can happen. And that happened with Vanderbilt a little bit. I don't think at at the end of the day, like it's it's one of those things that makes you just kind of lose sleep, but I think it's enough that can be very naggy on Saturday. When you flip the script, the name that stands out to me, as we mentioned with Rich, is trying to get the run game going. for Alabama. I'm sorry, for Auburn is the big defensive tackle, Cody Ziggler. you know, he's created many he created a turnover against Tennessee. he's right there, smack dab in the middle of that, that defense, causing a lot of havoc. It's a DJ Durgan defense that is statistically really good. plays plays Georgia really good. He he knows Georgia, he knows You think he always schemes really well against us. So this is going to be a challenging game. 330. You know, Georgia has let down mentality possibly coming. but I think I think if you're Kirby, and I think you're looking at, okay, here's the long haul. You get through, and we're gonna talk injuries next, but you get through this game, you got a bye week, and you got Florida. and Florida's gonna be the neutral site, right? You got him at the bins. So you can kind of look at these next three games. And when you look at playoffs, I mean, obviously Kirby doesn't like to look at this, but we get a chance to. But when you look at playoffs, SEC championship, you kinda have that feeling that this is the that this is the the measuring stick right here, right? Auburn, you get you get your you get your bye week and then you get Florida, then you get Ole Miss, then you get Missouri. This is a real key stretch for Georgia. injuries. So obviously, Chauncey Bowen's. We we have not seen the Wednesday report. We are a day early, obviously, as far as seeing the report for this week, but you know, Bowman Chauncey Bowen and then you had Nate out, and then you had Isaiah Canyon. You gotta think if you don't see Canyon this weekend, he's kind of probably gonna be they're probably kind of long hauling him for two weeks, and you're gonna see him back against Florida probably. but like Nate, right? And I want I want you guys to chime in about some of the injuries going on, but Nate was I don't want to get anybody in trouble, but Nate was not on the injury report at all. so even if he was a game time decision, which he was, man, you've never really seen Kirby play the injury like Wednesday report thing. But Nate was not even on the questionable status and didn't end up playing like what it it it kind of I kind of feel like Nate was not going at all because I don't know if you guys caught it. There was some really intentional plays where you saw Sakovy White Helton. Richman: I don't Ted Turner: in there on a couple of like like called runs. w w talk to me about injuries and what you guys think and what what what that's gonna play what that played against Alabama, what's gonna play against Auburn and ke and and going on in the rest of the season. Richman: know if you heard but I listening to, I can't even remember who it was, but one of the guys, they were talking about when they give those guys injections, they do it at game time and then they go out and they run in the warmups and they can't tell if the injection's gonna work or not until they go through warmups. And they just don't know, because sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't work. And it didn't work for, it didn't work for Frazier. was actually crying for the game. He was upset because he thought he was going to play. Adam Fisher: Yeah. Richman: So I kind of think he might be back next week. I don't think Chauncey will because didn't he have an ankle lower, lower leg? That's usually. Ted Turner: I have no idea about Chauncey. If you're bringing anything to it, I that was what I would know. Richman: That's two to three weeks usually at least. So I'm kinda hoping, kinda hoping Fraser's back. I, we'll see, I mean. Ted Turner: Well, how well Fish, like, I mean, we've talked about our running game so much, man. And it's like to see Dwight Phillips Jr. and that performance and Bo Walker, I mean, Kirby gave Bo some really key handoffs, man, that sealed the game. I mean, how big is it to have our run game and have the depth we need at running back, especially against an Auburn team who wants to keep Who w they want to play fast, right? So we need to counter with keeping the offense on the field and trying to get them into three and outs, because if they can do the opposite, I I I think that plays right into their hand. Like, what do you what do you think, Fish? I mean, the running back depth, is it kind of scary? Adam Fisher: Mm, dude, that like Nate and Chauncey, and don't get me wrong, are very big, very huge losses. But I I'm not like all is lost, you know, like I normally probably would be if we lost our one and two running backs, you know, heading into the Georgia Auburn game. especially after last week. Like who it and sitting here, what Georgia fan is honestly concerned right now after the performance we saw? Like now it's just like okay buddies, get well soon. We'll see we'll see you when you're we'll see you when you're ready. Richman: I'm worried about Dwight's health after last week. Adam Fisher: Yeah, he took a beating. I think we're gonna see a heavy Richman: He took a beat. Adam Fisher: heavy dose of Bo Walker this week and a couple other guys probably. Yeah. But the again I am Richman: Yeah, that may be the case. So hopefully Frazer's back to take a little pressure off, because I don't know that Dwight's, Adam Fisher: I am fully Richman: mean, he looked like he had a concussion to me at one time, although he did come back out and play some, but yeah, I'm just, you know, I'm hoping he's good to go 100%, but I don't know that that's the case. I'm little worried about that. Adam Fisher: Yeah. Yeah. Well he definitely got beat up. but hopefully he's feeling better and he's gonna, you know, get some of the best care and training, you know, in the n that that anybody could ever want and you know, hopefully he'll be back ready to go. Ted Turner: Yeah, I think I think if Georgia's going into this game in Auburn and I mean, man, it's it's rat boys and man, nineteen and a half point favorites. I'm not even sure when we're gonna get ready to pick these games. I'm not even sure if the if it's extended it. It may extend. It usually goes back a little bit, even though Vegas moved Georgia could it continue to move. Georgia was almost a three point underdog by the time the game started. which started out as Georgia two and a half point, I'm sorry, a point and a half favorite. So it it moved four and a half points just by media talking their normal, right? But nineteen and a half points, you gotta feel like they're probably gonna try to roll with Dwight Phillips and Bo. And if they can get through it with them, that's a plus, right? 'Cause you give another week for these guys to to Richman: Yeah. yeah. Ted Turner: rest, you get the bye week, and then you get Florida. Like that would be that would be the outcome we want, right? Richman: If they're healthy, think that we're good with those two guys. Ted Turner: Yeah. No, I I a hundred percent agree. Hundred percent agree. but you know, my biggest question is is like what what does I know for Auburn fans, their whole thing would be is to sustain drives. I think they would like to get the offense, they would like to get the run game going, okay? and that's not just necessarily Byron Brown with the run game. They really would like to get like the physical run game going because I think a lot of teams this year has said, look, I'm I'm not gonna allow Byron Brown to beat me with his legs. I'm not gonna allow them to run the football. I'm taking a take my chances with these receivers and this quarterback having to row and catch the football. And and it's it's worked so far. And you you gotta think that George's got the same game plan. But for Auburn this year and what you've seen of Auburn, Fish, I'll go to you first. What w what do you think? Is a game plan Auburn could bank on to beat Georgia on Saturday? Adam Fisher: somehow slowing down the d the offense, but I mean, after last week, I mean, what do you scheme for? Take away the run, Richman: Yeah. Adam Fisher: we'll throw it. We got some great wideouts that nobody's ever heard of that can show up and step up and catch the ball that they've shown. okay, you stop them, okay. We got some we got five tight ends that we can trot out there. You know, okay, you stop that, we're gonna run the ball. I mean, what are you gonna do? Like how do you scheme for that? DJ Durkitt has Richman: All right. Adam Fisher: the hardest job. I do not envy him this week, bro, coming up with a game Ted Turner: Right. Right. Adam Fisher: plan to stop us. I mean, it's like death by a thousand cuts. I mean, what are you gonna do? How are you gonna stop Ted Turner: Right. Right. Richman: their schemes, they're going to hope that we're coming off that Alabama win. And I think they're going to try to bust us early with big explosive plays and try to get some points up in the first half. And if that doesn't work, then they're just going to ride it out. But I mean, I don't know. don't see any... That would be my game plan. I mean, I would hope they come out flat and we could jump on them with all four feet and get a quick 21 points in the first half and maybe hold into a touchdown or a field goal or something. do I think that's gonna happen? I don't think that's gonna happen. I think. Ted Turner: Well, either way, go ahead. Richman: I mean, I think that's our biggest concern is coming out flat. But also think that it's going to be interesting to see this is going to be a great week for Kirby's method to coach these guys up and get them ready to play. I mean, this is where the coaching comes in. This is where you earn your money. If you're playing championship football, this is where those coaches are going to earn their money this week. Because they're going to get those guys ready to play and not let them come out flat and lay down. Ted Turner: I agree. I agree. I a hundred percent agree. All right, men. Well I'll tell you what, we're about forty five minutes in. That means let's hop in and let's pick these games for week seven. All right. So we got Notre Dame. We got Adam Fisher: Mm-hmm. Awesome. Ted Turner: two picks going to be outside of the SEC that I think are games that we should pick. Number w number two, Notre Dame, who ESPN has number one, by the way. Thank you, ESPN. We appreciate you humbling us. Adam Fisher: So funny. Ted Turner: we can be number one and still be humble because ESPN has it too. But number two, Notre Dame goes into BYU. Why are we picking this game? Because this is the only game other than the Miami game we get to pick Notre Dame because they don't play anybody. BYU, both teams undefeated. This is a 730 ABC start time. this is on the road for Notre Dame. Notre Dame has a it they're giving them ten and a half points in this in this game. Fish, I'll go to you first. Who do you got? Adam Fisher: I mean you just I mean Notre Dame, if they win this game, they're getting handed basically an invitation to the playoff because of that stupid deal they have now, which apparently they need because they're not good enough to get in there and win the games that matter and get in there on their own. So hey, here's the stipulation if we're ranked inside the top twelve, that's one of those spots is ours. Sorry, whoever else deserves it or plays the actual tougher schedule. And is mad enough to join a conference. gimme BYU by touchdown. Ted Turner: BYU is the pick by a touchdown. Rich man, who you got in this game? Richman: Yeah, I'm taking Notre Dame. I take Notre Ted Turner: Mean I wanna take Richman: Dame 24 to 14. Ted Turner: No, man. That is one thing that has got me a little bit riled up about Notre Dame, is their defense is not as good as they've been has been presented in the past, which makes them a little more human, Richman: That's pretty good. Ted Turner: but which I feel like they have the studs on defense this year, in my opinion. But I like BYU, but BYU's got a lot of injuries. They got a lot of injuries that worries me. and I I'm gonna take Notre Dame, but I am gonna say that. This is a game that should come back to haunt them as far as the the fact that BYU does have the injuries. That'll bail them out a little bit. but BYU keeps this game close at home. I do think they'll be they'll be fired up. they'll score a little bit on Notre Dame, but I think this is not ten and a half points. I think this is a four seven point game. but I do like Notre Dame in this one. Twelve o'clock. Indiana, another team that finally gets a chance to play somebody. you got the Indiana Hoosiers 6 0, number five. they got the Buckeyes from Ohio State coming in. this is a game that a lot of people will get to watch at 12 o'clock. what is it? what what is the Big Ten game? What what is it called? what Adam Fisher: Big noon. Ted Turner: what's their game day? Big noon kickoff will be there, yeah. So Fish, who you got in this game? And what do you think? Adam Fisher: Man, I think Indiana loses its first game and in the last however many eighteen, nineteen, whatever games, the streak's over. who's gonna stop Jeremiah Smith? Richman: . Adam Fisher: I mean, I don't think it really matters who's quarterback. I think you just lob it up there and that man's catching it and taking it to the house. gimme Ohio State by fourteen. Ted Turner: Rich, what do you got? Richman: Yeah, I'll take that Ohio State by 14. I'll take that. Ted Turner: Yeah, you asked who was gonna guard Jeremiah Smith. I think Signetti is gonna come out. Wouldn't it be just his way to be in this in an Indiana uniform and just be out there the AI bot he is and just take Adam Fisher: Huh. Ted Turner: the field? I mean, he always looks like he's like I could get in his face, he's like, I could get out there right now and play, but I don't because I'm too good for this. It's just I don't know, man. He's just he's a bot to me, man. It's crazy. all right, let's hop into the SEC. One o'clock SEC network. Adam Fisher: That's right. Yeah, I agree. Ted Turner: Texas AM gets the Citadel. I would say Texas AM should be very grateful for the Citadel in this time frame right now. man, Mike Elko, if it's going wrong for him, not only in the wins and losses category, now he's calling the fans out and local media and he's apologizing to the fans. And I mean, at the Richman: Okay. Ted Turner: end of the day, this is a this is the Mike Elko problem that he has created. He created the problem by going with Solomon Wiggins and You know, replacing some of these guys from within and trying to play the buddy buddy game, in my opinion, when Buster Faulkner was on the table, he could have gotten Buster Faulkner. He Buster Faulkner's a Texas AM guy. He would have loved to come back to Texas AM. But he didn't. And the offense is struggling, and I think from that, the defense is struggling to deal with poor field position and turnovers and Marcel Reed not being able to produce, and you name it, it's happening. But I mean, at this at this avenue, there's no like Point spread, but does the Citadel I mean the Citadel's two and four, but do they have a chance? Rich man, who you got this game? Richman: Well, I'll take A and for sure. Ted Turner: The discipline of the citadel really makes me want to pick Who you got fish? Adam Fisher: Alright, so gimme Ugh I mean so I'd rather you know, what's the over under on the coordinators on AM's coordinators lasting the whole season? like Ted Turner: It's gonna be Melko's escape coat. Adam Fisher: good lord. Gimme I wanna pick the Citadel too, but gimme A and Ted Turner: The Citadel, man, they're a well oiled military machine of a school. I mean I don't Richman: They were in the 80s. Ted Turner: Okay. I mean, I can't see the Citadel going into twelfth man Richman: Let's sit. Ted Turner: and winning this game, but like Richman: Sit it on VMI, I woke, I'll take A by 28. Ted Turner: Give me A and I'm not calling a score. I think I think they will win. but man, it's all it for for Texas A and this game is not about wins and losses. This game is about they kind of need to use this this week as an extra bye week and to go, what what are we gonna look like? Like what is our offense gonna look like? Is it gonna look rough? Are we gonna are we gonna score points easy or are we gonna have to make drives like they need to really see what they look like coming out of this game? seven o'clock. ESPN two, man, it just feels like the toilet bowl. These are the two teams that are in the bottom of my power rankings. You got the Super Bowl of the 15th and 16th in the power rankings, Arkansas and Vanderbilt. seven o'clock, somehow they got a night game. somehow. but this is this is at Vandy. Vandy right now is a solid six point favorite. fish, who you got in this game? Adam Fisher: think Arkansas comes in there riding the the momentum they managed to have. They played a little better last week against Tennessee. I'm gonna pick Arkansas, I guess my upset special. Is it an upset? Who knows? Ted Turner: This is the this is the game that gets one of them either in the bottom sixteen for the rest of the year or out of the sixteen for the rest of the year. That's the crazy part. Rich man, who you Richman: I'll take Arkansas by three. Ted Turner: I don't trust Arkansas. Did you see the the decisions that Satter Silverfox Silvernuts did you see Adam Fisher: Silver Fox. Ted Turner: the decisions he made? I mean, talking about a guy that's folding a full house, right? I can't go with that, man. Like, is this guy gonna make it a year at Arkansas? I gotta take Vanderbilt, man. Just because of that. It's like I trust, I trust that coaching staff at Vanderbilt. And Clark Lee way more than I trust this Arkansas coaching staff right now. So gimme Vandy at home figuring out a way to win. I don't know the score. It's going to be ugly. It ain't going to be anything anybody wants to watch other than Vanderbilt and Arkansas fans. But gimme Vanderbilt because I just don't trust anything about this Arkansas coaching staff. Richman: Okay. Adam Fisher: That's right. Ted Turner: who else we got? We got Florida, twelve o'clock, ABC heading to Texas. Now, this game right here feels like a must win for both of these teams, right? Florida coming off of really just dismantling at their homecoming from South Carolina. Florida could have saved Shane Beamer his job. did it save save his job? I it I think it did. then you got Texas who loses the Red River, and now you got Sarkeesian and conversations of look, man, you got a $50 million roster. This offense has taken steps back every single year. You've called plays for it. This seems like a must-win for both teams. And the craziest thing is that. It's playing into Florida's favor because Texas has jumped out to a ten and a half point favorite in this game. Who do you got, Richman? Richman: I'll take Texas, but I think it's going to be ugly again. Ted Turner: What do you think? Ten? You think you think Texas covers? Richman: Maybe by seven. Ted Turner: Yeah, seems steep to me. Fish, who you got in this game? Adam Fisher: think Florida's got an answer for Joe Smith and Steve Sarkeesian and and you know all the all the stuff they got going on, all the all the drama, all the excuses that they're both making. Saw both of their press conferences today and I mean just one excuse after another and and old Joe AKA Arch is just, you know, I'm not gonna shy away from the moment. You know, that's good. You shouldn't. You know, this is your third year, bro. This is like I mean if you're not gonna do it now, win. You know, and just I I don't know. Gimme Florida by Bah ten. Richman: Wow. Ted Turner: I mean it if if Florida doesn't win, they kind of get into the well Billy Napier could have been two and three in the SEC conversation, right? Like that's a scary way to think about that. But it could get that way. But even more so, like Texas has some games ahead of them, man. They they cannot afford to lose this game. If Texas loses this game, You can seal the deal on playoffs because I don't think they're beating Ole Miss later on. I really don't. I don't think they're beating Ole Miss. And I think they they play I I I haven't even looked ahead of the at at Texas schedule, but I feel like there's a couple more losses possibly on the record. This is huge for Texas. With that being said, I think Texas gets it done. I think Texas finally looks like Texas at home. Why am I saying all this? It's because I think Steve Sarkeesian knows and I think this team knows if they lose this game, there's a lot of stuff coming Texas away they can't handle. I mean, the fifty million dollar roster, Arch Manning, Steve Sarkeesian in the offense. You brought in Mush Champ and the defense. Muschamp hasn't lost you any games. Arch Manning in this offense has lost you every single well, and they only have one loss, but they've only Richman: And something else, here's something else to think about. Arch is probably gonna be back next year, so I think they're stuck with it. Ted Turner: Is that a hot take? I don't know, man. He's projected as top ten. Richman: Do you think Adam Fisher: What? Richman: he is gonna roll out there? Or do think he's gonna take another year to work on his book of work? I mean, his family's gonna say, you need to stay right there and continue to hone your craft before you go to the next level, because they've all been there. Adam Fisher: My God, he's gonna be a falcon, isn't he? Ted Turner: felt like that was this year. I felt like that was this year. Right? Like I felt like Richman: Well, that was this year, but his book of work ain't looking too stymie right now. So I think he's going to be back next year and that's something that Texas is going to have to contend with. Ted Turner: I'll give you a hot take. If Arch Manning does not go pro, I think he go I think he hops on the portal. Richman: What? Ted Turner: Why not? Steve Sarkeesian has done nothing for you. He's done nothing for your for your NFL. What has he done to develop Arch Manning as a quarterback? Richman: That's a good point because that would actually be the smart thing to do is find somebody that develops quarterbacks. I don't know who that is. Adam Fisher: Josh Hypo. Ted Turner: Mean, would Georgia take Arch Manning next year? Adam Fisher: Mm-hmm. Richman: That would be interesting. That Ted Turner: We should have g Richman: would be, that would be interesting. Adam Fisher: Trades one shade of orange for another for another. One U T, one urinary tract infection to another. Ted Turner: I mean in all in all fairness, let me just tell you who I can see getting him. Okay? I don't think I don't think Georgia would be getting him, but I would Richman: No. Ted Turner: be interested to see what Lane Kiffin could do with Arch with Archmanning. Richman: Woo! Ted Turner: I would be interested to see that. I would be interested to see what a Richman: Wait, did you hear what Brooks Austin said? Brooks Austin said that he spoke with someone in the pros, a pro scout. He said that Arch is an RPO quarterback only. That's what he needs to be doing. They're asking too much of him. And I don't know enough about quarterbacking to say, but I thought that was very interesting. Adam Fisher: It is. Ted Turner: Arch is Arch is an interesting quarterback in general. all right. Richman: The only thing that, I mean, the thing with Arch is just like, he's inconsistent, man. He throws the most beautiful pass you've ever seen, crazy play, and then he misses the next one, sells it five yards over their head and it's wide open. You know, even bad Ted Turner: He's s Richman: quarterbacks are usually a little bit more consistent. And I'm not saying he's a bad quarterback. just, And maybe here's something, I don't know, I was gonna go to the Lion. I that Lion's not that great this year. They were terrible last year, but Ted Turner: Did they they poured out millions on that line? That line got the best things Richman: Yeah, they do it. Ted Turner: money could buy, the best Lamborghinis Adam Fisher: Yep. Ted Turner: Texas could offer. Adam Fisher: That's right. Richman: Dude, they had to expand the seats on those Lamborghinis for those guys. Ted Turner: Telling you, man. I'm telling you. 12 o'clock, Mississippi State, ranked number five. I mean, this is this is going to be a classic right here. Number 16, Mississippi State heading down to Baton Rouge. They said, you know what, LSU, you keep blowing these night games, you get a you get a 12 o'clock game. It's gonna Adam Fisher: Finally. Ted Turner: be muggy, nasty, weird. but LSU is 14 point, 14 point favorites against Camario Taylor. And let me just tell you, Levy and Lebby and And Lane Kiff, and they don't like each other, man. Who you got in this game, Fish? Adam Fisher: I I'm I'm gonna pick Mississippi State and there's no way even if they don't pull it out it's a fourteen point game. Give me a Mississippi State by a touchdown. Ted Turner: In Death Valley at noon. Who you got, Rich Man? Richman: I'll take Mississippi State by three. Ted Turner: Yeah. Give me Mississippi Adam Fisher: Ha ha ha. Ted Turner: State and I'll tell you why. It's Mississippi State wins if Camario Taylor doesn't turn the ball over, period. I think that LSU got exposed last week. I think Sam Levitt is a turnover machine. And if Camario can keep the can keep the can keep the turnovers at bay, Sam Levitt will throw some ste some some steamers, man. And I think that's what gets them. And this would be incredibly worrisome for Giffen and this, you know, this donor population at LSU that's donating this money because there are some tougher games on the schedule that could maybe get him into some really, really bad doo doo with the SEC as far as record concern. I Adam Fisher: Definitely. Ted Turner: like, I like Mississippi State in this game. 330, one of the better games in my opinion of the day. Alabama heading down, I'm sorry, up to Knoxville. Now, I know Tennessee is trying to find an offense. I know Faison Brandon is a little dinged up, but yet he he might have lost his job to McIntyre. But the one constant thing that I think Tennessee has for Alabama is a run game. And I think Tennessee has a pretty good defense that can that can hold this Alabama offense at bay. Now, I don't know if that if that gets them a a a song by Morgan Wall and and Stokey's at the end of the night, but I definitely say that it's always interesting It's always interesting at Nealand any time you start after three thirty. Who you got this game, Richman? Richman: Man, I can't go against Alabama. I think Bama's gonna win. What's the line on it? Ted Turner: Eight and a half. Richman: Yeah, I'll take Bam on bus seven. Ted Turner: Bish, you got this one. Adam Fisher: Yeah. you know, Tennessee's defense leads the league in sacks. they're not bad. They're gonna put some pressure on Keelan. and how he handles that's gonna have a lot to do with how the game com turns out. I just don't know if Tennessee's offense can generate enough points. I don't think Bama needs to score but twenty one maybe to win. Ted Turner: Mm-hmm. Adam Fisher: gimme Bama twenty one ten. Ted Turner: Very good. Very good observation Richman: Yeah. Ted Turner: right there. yeah, I got Bama. I think Bama's the second best right now, the second best team in the country behind Georgia. I think their offense is too good, defense is too good. This team is really close to being very complete. in s in a lot they're doing. I don't think Tennessee can find enough offense in this game. So I like Alabama, maybe even th this offense might get score on Alabama. I maybe they string a couple field goals together. Like give me like a twenty seven to six. Adam Fisher: Yeah, I was being nice. Ted Turner: Twenty seven to six type stuff. it's a dirty game. I mean it's Knoxville. I don't know. Richman: If Bama gets rolling, they're probably gonna make it ugly on them, because this could be a revenge game after last week. Adam Fisher: My good Yeah. Ted Turner: Yeah. SEC Network 730, man, the Steiner Recliners, as some people are calling him, Big Ball Steins, Kentucky heading into Oklahoma. Now, man, Kentucky's interesting, guys. This is possibly I'm not gonna dig it out right now, but Kentucky could be only one more loss on their record. This could be a ten and two Kentucky team at the end of the year. This is a big one right Richman: Thanks. Ted Turner: here for them to get over. But dude, man, you just feel like Kentucky's got some mojo, man. Everybody's like, this could be the Indiana of, you know, and I I don't know, but I know that right now the the football gods are definitely wearing blue and white. seven point underdogs going into Norman. Who do you got in this game, Fish? Adam Fisher: You know, if you've never been there before, staying keeping it going is really hard, I feel like. how do they handle the success? Can the coach keep grounded or keep motivated or keep where they need to be in order to keep playing the way they are. But then again, how good's LSU? We're not real sure. They're one loss away from no play off. you know, I I want to go in there and win. I want to go in there and, you know Keep it up and keep it going 'cause, you know, I like you know, we don't play You know, we might play later if they keep it up. If they keep winning, this is one game, like you said, that they are definitely capable of winning and can do a lot for their season. but Oklahoma coming off that huge Texas win, like, are they gonna be up? Are they gonna be ready for it? You know, who knows? So but I'm gonna pick Kentucky. Ted Turner: Ooh. Rich man, who you got? Richman: Lover's Sider. Ted Turner: I man. I something tells me home Norman. Everybody wants to celebrate this game that didn't get a chance to. The defense can put something together. Matear might confine Satania a few more times. I like Oklahoma, man, to get back in the to get back in the hunt, man. If Oklahoma somebody said, if Oklahoma can go undefeated, man, they're in the playoffs like you planned it. Yeah, that's a big, big ask. And so I like Oklahoma. I like it to be something funky. Like Kentucky has shown close games all year. I think this is another one in Norman. Seven thirty, barn burner. I think Oklahoma gets it done. But the turning point's gonna be a field goal or a block field goal this time. I will tell you that Richman: Thanks. Ted Turner: that kid gentry that hit the field goal, I cannot believe kicker of the year last year. He he's missed three field goals already this year. So something to watch going into that game. So I like Oklahoma. Give me Oklahoma by three, and it's it's either gonna come down to Kentucky goes for it again and this time they don't get it in overtime or game winning field goal by Oklahoma. that's just that's just me. I don't know. All right. Richman: It's gonna be something crazy like 24, 25. Ted Turner: Right. Something is crazy weird. All right. Three thirty. ESPN. Them dogs in Athens. Auburn coming to town. Deep South. Oldest rivalry. Three thirty. Georgia has moved to a twenty and a half point favorite against as of the line right now against Auburn coming in. Alex Golish, first time around in this in this scenario. Richman, who you got in this game? And give me a score. Richman: Dogs 2814. Ted Turner: Ugh. Don't cover, huh? I like it. Fish Fish who you got? Adam Fisher: Give me Georgia and here's why. Cause me and my kids are gonna be there. They won't they won't Ted Turner: There you go. There you go. Adam Fisher: lose 'cause we're gonna bring the good luck with us from Savannah GA. Richman: Nice. Ted Turner: They'll hear you, man, from the section you're at, man. There's no way. There's no way Adam Fisher: That's right. Ted Turner: mistakes are gonna happen, but you think getting a Kirby moment is awful, man. Wait till your kids get in gunner's ear. Yeah, Adam Fisher: I know, right. Ted Turner: man, you got a score for me? Adam Fisher: Georgia forty two, Auburn seventeen. Ted Turner: Whew. Convincing. Richman: Ooh, love it. Ted Turner: Convincing. You want to leave the game early, huh? Adam Fisher: no, we're gonna stay and watch the third and fourth stringers play. I'm telling you, Bo Walker's gonna have a huge game. Ted Turner: There you go. I I got George in this one. I I think the the deciding factor is this. I think biggest thing is first and second down by Auburn. I think if we can get them in situations where Byron Brown has long third down plays, I think it's gonna put Auburn in a situation that they're they don't like being in. I also think at home the run game is gonna open up play action. If Auburn can't stop the run, this is gonna get ugly. Now, if Auburn can stop the run, I do think this is a defense they can keep this game low scoring. That's a big what-if though, right? I'm worried about the 20 and a half point favorites coming off of a game like Alabama, a physical game. Auburn had a bye. Georgia had a very physical game against Alabama. That is why I think blowout is really hard to kind of dial up, right? I I don't think cover is gonna be something anybody's gonna look at, although it would be nice to. But I like Georgia in like a convincing, kind of like a thirty four, like twenty one type thing, you know, thirty seven that thirty seven, twenty one sounds good. I like a convincing score points. twenty one might seem like a lot of points, but I think some field goals can be put in there. depending on just the Richman: Okay. Ted Turner: I mean twenty one would be a pretty substantial amount to give up to Auburn. But I guess what I'm saying is I can see us kind of pushing the thread of twenty, but I I don't think that's gonna happen. But give me Georgia. I hope it's a good game. I'll be down there with the fish man as well. Or I should say up there. So we're obviously live Tuesday night tonight because of got a flight heading out early, early Thursday morning to come to God's country in Athens to to be at the game. So Rich Man, final thoughts tonight, man. Alabama, Auburn, first time we got we can knock Alabama out and the state of Alabama out in two weeks, ma'am. Final thoughts? Richman: Man. I'm just excited. think it's going to be a fantastic season. I'm beginning to feel like we might go all the way. Ted Turner: Ooh. Ooh. Find the wood. Pace ourselves. Final thoughts, fish? Adam Fisher: Just just a little PSA, a little public service announcement. Georgia doesn't really have an Alabama problem. Georgia had a Nick Saban problem. We're two and two in the Debor era against them, and saying we haven't won in Tuscaloosa since two thousand seven really sounds bad if we were playing them every yeah. We're one and two against them since two thousand seven in Tuscaloosa. It's not that bad. They were trying to sell it as some big my god, they've got our number type thing and whatever. It's just so hilarious that what the media did last week, man. Just I I love it. I love being the villain, I guess. That's our role. That's our lot in life. That's Kirby. Let's do it. Richman: Be a gangster. Go dogs. Adam Fisher: That's right. That's right. Ted Turner: Well, hey, listen, I hope you guys have a great rest of your week. I look forward to a this is gonna be a really good weekend of college football. A lot of really good games. And we thought last week shook some things up. I think this weekend will shake a lot more up. I think we'll know a lot more about where some of these teams that are pretenders and contenders, you're gonna start to see the SEC shape out, shape up, shape out here in the next few weeks. as we get into late October, early November, and we're looking forward to it. So at some point in time, we probably will be a little bit here and there live from Athens to bring you guys in on what's going on here at Dogs Down South. look forward to a really great weekend and a great, a great time in Athens. hope you guys have a great time watching the game with family and friends. You guys have a great weekend. And as always on Dogs Down South, Go Dogs. Adam Fisher: Yo dog. Richman: Good off. Bye!
