- 0:01Because fuck You That's Why, is a founding member of the Odd Pods Media
- 0:04Network. Hello one and all ladies and gentlemen, lads and legends. It's
- 0:41episode one hundred and sixty three, because fuck you that is Why, says
- 0:47I. And today we have our movie special Part two, Electric Jabbalu,
- 0:54and we're gonna have some great fun all about playing silly quiz games about out
- 1:00movies and so forth with the wonderful hosts of the podcast scene. In fifteen,
- 1:07it's Jobo and Nashwan. Hi, guys, what's going on. I
- 1:17hope you're as excited as I am for this, dude, Thank you for
- 1:22having us. It's it's kind of strange that this started out as like me
- 1:26being a movie nut and Nashan like hating movies of the passion, and now
- 1:29fast forward to oh, not only are we on a show, we're we're
- 1:33specifically doing a special about movie. Well, you can blame Stevie. It
- 1:38was his idea. Uh so, and whoever decided to name this episode fucking
- 1:45throw my name in there. I owe you all the fucking joystick and love.
- 1:49That was a um I just had too much fun with that. So
- 1:56anyway, Yeah, this is a panel show inspired podcast. We're gonna play
- 1:59three games. Whichever team has the most points at the end of the episode
- 2:02wins. Lately, we've been on a run of instead of splitting up the
- 2:07dream team of Stevie and Aggie, we've been putting them on the same team
- 2:09against their opponents. So we're gonna do the same thing here. John and
- 2:13Sean are gonna be facing off against Stevie and Aggie. And as always,
- 2:16i'd love to start the show with a little introduction and a little introductory question
- 2:22to ask to kind of get the ball rolling. And in this case,
- 2:25I think the introductory question is going to be, is there something some piece
- 2:31of media that you've consumed that that you found to be utterly original, something
- 2:40new enough that it gets your attention and you just go Wow. I thought
- 2:46I thought all the stories were done, and I had read them all and
- 2:49I knew how everything was going to work, and then all of a sudden,
- 2:51here's this thing that completely changed my mind. I will start because this
- 2:57is a this is unusually heady question, um for me. I recently read
- 3:02a book called Everyone in My Family has killed someone. Uh, it's a
- 3:08it's a murder mystery where literally everybody in this dude's extended family of like ten
- 3:15people has at one point or another killed somebody. Oh shit. Um.
- 3:19In fact, it starts off with the the protagonist, the character. It's
- 3:24the first person perspective, helping his brother disposed of a body. UM,
- 3:30so you know you are, You're off to the races immediately. Um.
- 3:35But it really was this incredibly clever and witty, Like I don't know,
- 3:42maybe it's because there's so much murder and death in the book that it just
- 3:46felt like an original murder mystery because fucking everybody's dying Jesus. Um. But
- 3:54uh yeah. Towards the end, I was, I was. I was
- 3:58literally hooked, and I was like, I I have read and consumed so
- 4:01many murder mystery stories that I thought I was done, you know, I'm
- 4:05like, nothing's gonna surprise me anymore. And I was wrong. This book
- 4:10was a winner. Absolutely loved it. Um, let's go next to Uh,
- 4:15Stevie looks like he's got Oh all right, Stevie, you you got
- 4:19something? Oh? Um yeah. I thought you were gonna do the racial
- 4:23and then do their question and us my fault. I was so confused.
- 4:26Oh, I apologize you. You just looked like you had an answer ready
- 4:29to go. So yeah, okay, I can. I can go to
- 4:31our guests. That's fine. Ibe, let's talk to Jabo. Hey,
- 4:34Jabos, got a couple of minutes, now, dude, that's a pretty
- 4:40fresh question. Man. I love you know. Let me go ahead and
- 4:42say I love the questions that you fucking asked because I get to get all
- 4:44my geek shit out at the beginning. Yeah, I mean, that's what
- 4:46I'm designed to do, Thank you. Originally I was gonna go fucking um
- 4:55I read uh Battle Royale not too long ago. Who um. But the
- 5:00only reason why I'm not going to go with Battle Royles because there's a whole
- 5:03conversation to be had between that and the Hunger Games. I'm not doing it.
- 5:06So I will go with the Watchman HBO series The Watchman. The reason
- 5:15why mainly is because, yeah, if you know the story of The Watchman,
- 5:17I still think the original Alan Moore they crafted one of the absolute best
- 5:24narratives in the comic book world period. I think it changed the face of
- 5:29comic book writing and made people look at it more seriously. So I wasn't
- 5:32expecting the series to bring anything of that caliber. Boy, was I fucking
- 5:36wrong right? Opening up with the Black Wall Street, the desecration of Black
- 5:45Wall Street, leading into the founding character of the Watchman actually being black,
- 5:51and then them writing that entire narrative about how he couldn't be a black superhero
- 5:56in front of everybody, so he had to do white face and betray himself
- 6:00being white and still wearing the hood and everything else. I thought it was
- 6:02a fucking ingenious way to turn. And the thing is, Alan Moore had
- 6:06nothing to do with it. So not only did it allow me to see
- 6:10that establishing those characters and those storylines that yeah, he did really awesome shit
- 6:15with him, but there were other people out there that took it a serious
- 6:18step further that not only like kept it in that vein of being a real
- 6:24good storyline, I think they did a more fantastic job of you know,
- 6:28keeping it realistic and based off of stuff. I thought they did an excellent
- 6:30job. So for me, absolutely the Watchman series on HBO. Brilliant answered
- 6:35Absolutely, Brilliant answered, Yeah, I gotta agree. It's it's an absolutely
- 6:43fantastic show from top to bottom. And again, as Joba said, took
- 6:47it an direction I wasn't expecting. Uh and uh and it was genius so
- 6:54uh and job was other half Nashan, Hey, hey, n Sean,
- 6:57what's going Hello? They thanks for having me absolutely absolutely yeah. No,
- 7:03Um, we gotta get you guys a win here. The last time you're
- 7:06on didn't go well. But we're trying to get you guys a win,
- 7:10so we've set you up for success basically, I guess. So you put
- 7:17me on a team with this guy. Yeah, we put you on a
- 7:20team against these guys. Trust me. The odds are ever in your favor.
- 7:29So, um, well I was against them the last time. Uh
- 7:33well yeah sort of. Is he who wasn't playing against you? And Crunchy
- 7:38added something to Augie's team? I'm pretty sure, But you gotta remember all
- 7:41the negative value I bring to this team. Is there? Is there a
- 7:45piece of media that you've consumed that surprised you? I guess is the ultimate
- 7:49distillation this question beyond what he puts on his background noise that I don't really
- 7:57pay attention to. I have the baby, and so she's extremely interesting in
- 8:01her own way. So there's that that I get to experience, Um,
- 8:05watching a toddler Oliver again, from the time I was a parent, with
- 8:09my fifteen and ten year old now redoing it, everything has changed. Um.
- 8:13But beyond that, if there was anything that I have paid attention to
- 8:18or I put on. Um and this is not going to be a very
- 8:20popular one, but I watched the new the newest part of the R.
- 8:26Kelly series, and right when you thought that it couldn't get any worse,
- 8:30and then I watch that and you a get wow. N I think I
- 8:39want to marry you. I want to ask you in front of everybody.
- 8:46Yeah. No, I don't think that's a bad answer at all. Great,
- 8:50that's um. Okay, Now we're turning over to the Dream Team.
- 8:56Do you mean the dream or Team? I mean guys screw too high to
- 9:01play properly? Oh these guys. Um, who wants to go first?
- 9:07I forgot what the question was. For God's sake, is there a piece
- 9:11of media that you've consumed that still surprised you and you didn't expect it to?
- 9:16Oh my god? Yeah, I actually recorded it too. Oh God,
- 9:20it's something you did. Yes? Well, I mean no, I
- 9:24mean I've noticed it in a game I was playing. Okay, Um,
- 9:28I went back and recorded me playing Doom, the original ninety three DOS game
- 9:33Doom, okay, and I didn't know this, but after level three,
- 9:39I found a secret and it took me to level nine and I'd never been
- 9:41there before because the first chapter of episode one of Doom there's only eight levels.
- 9:48Apparently there's a ninth one. I didn't know. I haven't get at
- 9:52the secret and I got there, and it's still it's like this game how
- 9:56ninety three and it's still like gives me a challenge, it still keeps me
- 10:01on my toes and it still surprises me as there's ship that I'm still finding
- 10:07all the fucking time in it. It's just impressive as far. I may
- 10:09have distilled the question too much. Sorry, but that's what I got.
- 10:15That's okay. No, I am genuinely surprised that that you have just learned
- 10:20about something that I've known about Doom for decades. There was a secret level
- 10:26in the first campaign, like I cannot And you're such a bigger fan of
- 10:33it than I am, Like you you live loved. It's like there's secret
- 10:37levels throughout different games, Like I just never knew about this. I didn't
- 10:41know about that one. That one. I'm just like, what the fuck?
- 10:43And it has happened to be recording it, which worked out perfectly wild.
- 10:46Yeah, I'm looking forward to watching that are YouTube that'll be out our
- 10:50Patreon. Actually fair enough, fair enough. We'll get to talking about our
- 10:54Patreon towards the end of the show. But Augie, last, but not
- 10:58least, a piece of media that has surprised you, proven to be original
- 11:03when you thought nothing was anymore. So, Um, I actually thought,
- 11:09uh, no spoilers, that Mandalorian was really good, not just a really
- 11:16good space cowboy movie, but just a really good Cowboy movie. Like it
- 11:20felt like that I haven't seen. Yeah, I've heard good thing. Yeah
- 11:22it feels like an old Cowboy movie, but like you know, made in
- 11:26the Star Wars universe. No spoilers, but it's good. And I was
- 11:31I was really worried that they were gonna gonna end it weird or they're gonna
- 11:35do something weirdly bizarre. No, they did well, all right. I
- 11:41got a half five argue for that one, because the Mandalorian is freaking it's
- 11:46so good. I haven't eaten all the season three yet, but that is
- 11:50the perfect marriage of like space and Western It's so absolutely well, now that
- 11:56we've got everybody's toes wet in the water, so to speak, shall we
- 12:01jump into it. I think it's time for game one. Yeah, and
- 12:05we're going to go from high quality stories and media to the shittiest of the
- 12:09shitty. We're playing a game called Getting Errand. I am going to list
- 12:16three possible direct to video sequels to mainstream movies. All you have to do
- 12:20is tell me which one is fake, except at least once during the round,
- 12:26none of them will be fake. They will all be real, which
- 12:28means you're being errand. If you can successfully identify when you're being errand,
- 12:35you'll get two points. However, if there is a fake movie and you
- 12:39successfully identify the fake movie, you'll get one point. Each team is going
- 12:43to have their own set of five questions, and the team with the most
- 12:46points at the end of all ten wins an episode points. So Jabon Nashan,
- 12:52you're our guests. Would you like to go first or second? Second?
- 12:58Just me, you'd like to go? All right? Fair enough,
- 13:07you will go second, which means we're throwing TV at Augie to the wolves.
- 13:11That's good man. All those hours I spent in Blockbuster weren't wasted.
- 13:15Here is your first set of direct to video movies. Which one of these
- 13:18is made up? Or are all three of these real? Is it a
- 13:24Bring It On, Cheer or Die? Is it be hell raizor Deliverance?
- 13:30Or is it c Doctor Dolittle Tale to the Chief. That's adorable and I
- 13:37hope that's real. I want to go watching. Um, I believe the
- 13:43first one, the cheer one Israel. Yes, I'm pretty sure I've seen
- 13:48that. I've watched hell Raisers but never really paid attention, so I'm not
- 13:52sure about the second one. What do you think? Oh, you know
- 13:54animals? What about the third one? Was the second one hell Raizor Deliverance?
- 14:00That sounds real enough. The third one doesn't sound real though, No,
- 14:03you think it's a I or you think all of them aren't real,
- 14:07though I don't know. I stopped watching Stuart a little after the first movie.
- 14:13All right, UM, I think we're gonna go with. Just to
- 14:15be clear, you said you said all of them aren't real. That's not
- 14:18how this works. At least two of these are real, but the third
- 14:22one might also be real. So if they're all real, you say you're
- 14:26being errand and right. You'll get two points. But if you think one
- 14:30of these is fake, guess which one is. I think Tale to the
- 14:31Chief is fake. Yeah, I think Tales Chief. Okay, you guys
- 14:35are both going see Tale to the Yeah, because my luck, it's gonna
- 14:37be real. I can go rent it this weekend. All right, Well,
- 14:39it turns out you are wrong. The correct answer is be hell Raiser
- 14:43Deliverance. I made it up, very nice, dude. It's a Tale
- 14:48to the Chief real, Uh, doctor Dolittle. Tale to the Chief is
- 14:52real. You can check out. Yeah, mind you, it's a direct
- 14:56to video movie, so you can not be very good. But do you
- 15:00want to check it out? Peel free? Cool? All right, we'll
- 15:01switch back over to Jabo Nishan. No points for Stevie and Age yet,
- 15:05jab On Nashan. Here are your three? A blood Sport for the Dark,
- 15:13Kumata b Amityville, Evil Never Dies or see Single White Female to the
- 15:22Psycho. Wow, which one of these is fake? Or are they all
- 15:28real? Goodness? Good lord? Like we're doing scene in fifteen Later where
- 15:37I can't swear and say really now, yeah, I gotta get it out
- 15:41of my system, go for it now. I don't even I don't even
- 15:43know if blood Sport the Dark Yeah, I'm you know what, I'm not
- 15:48gonna make it that easy. That's low hanging fruit like the Dark Cumata.
- 15:52Come on, you know where I'm going with this one. Um. But
- 15:56as far as what do you think? You think that best? You think
- 16:02you think it's a the one that's not real. The other two are real.
- 16:06No, only because the white chick one is too for it to be.
- 16:11It has to be real. It's too obvious for it to be the
- 16:15fake one. You know what, I will throw everything. Well, I'll
- 16:19ride with you. We'll go eh, we will go ah. Okay,
- 16:23So jab On Sean say a blood Sport for the Dark Cumte is fake?
- 16:27And I'm sorry to say these are all real. All three of these are
- 16:33real. You were being arrands. See they right out the gate there like
- 16:40here, take two points where I now we're good. I think too.
- 16:44That's the only one that I didn't. Those were too big a words for
- 16:47me. I don't know. I'm just really amazed at the fact that everybody
- 16:51can't come with a better sequel name. Oh right, we're just touching the
- 16:56tip of the iceberg. We still got eight more of these to go the
- 17:00you have to go down, ye, Speaking of which, Stevie, Agie,
- 17:03it's your turn. No points for anybody yet. Here's your next set
- 17:07of three. The Net two point zero, time cop two, the Berlin
- 17:12Decision or show Girls three Crystals on Top. I don't mind watching Crystals on
- 17:23the top, you know, But the fourth one is the one I'm really
- 17:26worried about. Um the first movie. He said that the net two point
- 17:32z I believe is real because I believe I've seen that are um or the
- 17:40first one did at least second one? It must not about that good second
- 17:44one? You mean the movie? Or yeah, the second option. The
- 17:47second option is time cop to the Berlin decision, the Berlin decision. But
- 17:52he's not. He's from Brushels, not Berlin. Wait a minute, that
- 17:57one sounds fake on Oh shit, it's too two. Yeah, two is
- 18:04the fake one. So you both say, b time cut in decision is
- 18:08the fake One's reasoning's dumb? But yes, all right, yeah, your
- 18:12reasoning is dumb because it's s show Girls three Crystals on Top. I made
- 18:17that There is a Showgirls three, but it does not have that subtitle.
- 18:21It's something else, like why that is an amazing. I was like,
- 18:23dude, I was like, I don't even know there's a show Girls Too.
- 18:26I thought the first one was bad enough. Well, you know what,
- 18:30there may not be a show Girls three now, and I think about
- 18:32it. I think I saw there was a Showgirls Too and it had a
- 18:33silly taglight like like like that, and I was like, okay, let
- 18:37me look up real quick what a character from show Girls teams? And I
- 18:41was like Crystal. And I'm like, oh, crystals on top. That
- 18:44works. So the answer was that's getting rented. Everybody's getting stumped. Let's
- 18:52move on to a question number four. This is for Jabo and the Sean
- 18:56A Silent Night, Deadly Night. Five? The toymaker be mean Girls too?
- 19:06Or see Dungeons and Dragons the Sword of Darkness? Is one of these
- 19:12fake or are they all real? Mean Girls too? Is there mean Girls
- 19:22too? There has to be. There's no way in the world they could
- 19:23have made the Mean Girls one and the Mean Girls to who doesn't exist.
- 19:26It's probably shitty too, so we're not going to be Plus that movie has
- 19:30the first one has the greatest looking cast in any movie industry. Dragon stuff.
- 19:37No, I don't. I used to just jerk off the guy who's
- 19:38a dungeon master and I'm playing, um, he wasn't really a master.
- 19:45Different kind of dungeon master. Lots of words, there were lots of words
- 19:51and anybody see you do you want to go see? Let's go see because
- 19:56Silent I know that Silent Knight Deadly Night was like that one series that went
- 20:00out to like an insane number of fucking sequels, And you're like, how
- 20:03did we get this far? But what what was it? What was all
- 20:06of a Can you repeat that? Yeah? Absolutely A was Silent Night,
- 20:10Deadly Night five, the Toymaker. No, dude, it sounds that's the
- 20:18one that I think it is. You think it's you think it's A.
- 20:21Yeah, I think it's A. I think I'll go with you. Uh,
- 20:26if you want to do it, we'll do it, all right.
- 20:30So you guys just sticking with a no, hang on, no, are
- 20:33you sure? I'm not? I'm I think a last time give you that.
- 20:37The only reason don't put that on my shoulders, the only reason why
- 20:44I'm sorry. I'll still have to hear the couple. They were such a
- 20:48married couple, and I don't know what happened, dude, I gotta go
- 20:53see, Like the only reason why I'm going to see is because I know
- 20:56that Silent I Deadly Night. Because I used to always ask myself, I'm
- 20:59like, why did they keep making those fucking movies? All Right? So
- 21:04that's good, dude, you're really good, and I would give you that,
- 21:07but that sat to me. The Toymaker sounds like it's it was just
- 21:11like a no brainer for somebody like I'm making another one. What do you
- 21:15want to call? It's like fucking no, its like toymakers. No Dungeons
- 21:21and Dragons. Okay, see final answer, cy Okay, so uh thank
- 21:30god, because you very nearly went off the rails. The correct answer is
- 21:34c it is not Dungeons and Dragons. The Sword of Darkness. I believe
- 21:40it's something like the Book of Evil or something like that, but it's not
- 21:42the sort that is incorrect. However, the other two are real, and
- 21:47yes, they did have five silent like Deadly Nights, like three of them
- 21:51were directed video. It's crazy, like why do they keep making these?
- 21:55And the thing is they had great cover art. I'm like, it's amazing
- 22:00suck. But yeah, anyway, uh okay, so that is one point
- 22:03for a job on Nashan. They're ahead, man, ste time to catch
- 22:11up. Here's your next selection. Uh, A American Pie Presents the Book
- 22:19of Love b an extremely goofy movie. Or see the Butterfly Effect three Revelations.
- 22:30That sounds right as the goofy movie writer. No, yes, because
- 22:33we're not being errand. No, we're not being rand Okay, I think
- 22:37the first one. It's the first one, right, Yeah, that's so
- 22:40made up because the third one was the third one in Butterfly the Butterfly Effect
- 22:45three revelations. That's real. That is real. So I think the first
- 22:48one. Yeah, we're gonna we're playing a win. Now, we're coming
- 22:51back at you, guys. We're getting number one out of here. Okayword,
- 22:55So you guys decided rather quickly that A American Pie Presents the Book of
- 23:00Love is fake? Yeah, okay, Well, the fact of the matter
- 23:03is these are all real. F all of these are real. You were
- 23:08being errand and you could have had two points and you don't get them.
- 23:14I'm sorry. We switch back over to Jabo Nishan. It is time for
- 23:21your third set. Ready, here goes sure for Jabo Nishan, a Airbud
- 23:27Seventh Inning fetch b Beethoven's fifth or C K nine one one, which is
- 23:37a sequel to K nine. If it's a real I'll tell you right now,
- 23:44honey, it's up to you. Everything inside. And he says,
- 23:45Hey, the only reason why a C sounds cheesy enough that somebody actually did
- 23:49it. I'm going with Airbud. Yeah, because that's the one. I
- 23:53don't I know that there's a whole lot of them, but I don't think
- 23:56that they've gone out to seven yet. Besides, I'm just gonna go ahead
- 23:59and say, even if Beethoven didn't get to five movies, which I'm sure
- 24:03it did, that, yeah, that was there probably Like, oh,
- 24:06as long as we get past four, we're good. So yeah, we'll
- 24:07go. Ay, you guys are gonna go with a all right, yes,
- 24:14well, uh, in this case, they are all real. Yet
- 24:19really, all three of these are real. You were errand again, I'm
- 24:25erranding the hell out of you, guys, And it's great. It is
- 24:30a requirement that you have to own these errand see your past. Let's ass
- 24:36one day, like, dude, put on fucking Airbud, fucking ninth wining
- 24:40or whatever. Yeah, get off your shelf and put it in there.
- 24:42Oh man, all right, but job woden Seawan is still up by one
- 24:45point, Stevie and Augie. This is your chance to catch up, is
- 24:49it? Yep? Here's your next set of three. A The Land before
- 24:55Time seven, the Stone of Cold Fire, B the Land before Time nine,
- 25:02Invasion of the Tiny sorouss or See the Land before Time fourteen Journey of
- 25:10the Brave. I need to I need to change something because these are in
- 25:14Roman numerals, and I think I said the second one wrong. B is
- 25:17the Land before Time eleven, O nine the Land before Time eleven, Invasion
- 25:22of the Tiny Sources and See the Land before Time fourteen Journey of the Brave.
- 25:27Is are any of these fake? Or are you being errand? Oh
- 25:32my god, are you know dinosaurs? What? The last one sounds normal?
- 25:42But he could be airing us like he has been the last like two.
- 25:45I don't know how many fucking Land before Time. I thought they were
- 25:48only like three, maybe four? So it's that the first one? Or
- 25:56is it he's just fucking want this because the subtitle I don't know. You're
- 26:00in charge, serp. What was the numbers again? Just the numbers?
- 26:03Land before Time seven, eleven and fourteen fourteen sounds too out there to right,
- 26:11but the little sources sound like such a stretch. He chose it?
- 26:15What a purpose to fumble us? Yeah, but then if anything beyond the
- 26:21first one is real, then I can't even think I could. I could
- 26:26have just changed the subtitle. Yeah, okay, any of them? Should
- 26:32we think we're getting aired? You're all real? I think, yeah,
- 26:34I think we're getting errand we're getting errand. Wow, we need two points.
- 26:38So so you guys think I would errand you three times in a row?
- 26:44Yes, all right, Well he's a very errand thing to do.
- 26:47Alright. The correct answer is that these are all real. You were being
- 26:51errand. Oh and that's two points to what why do they exist? Question?
- 27:02Very nice? Well done. All right, we're moving back over to
- 27:06jab on Nehan. You're behind now, but you can catch up with this
- 27:10one. Here's your next set of three A the substitute two pop quiz B
- 27:18the substitute three winner takes all or see the substitute Failure is not an option.
- 27:26Um, honey, I want to go A for some reason. I
- 27:30want to go A. And the only reason why I want to go A
- 27:33is because substitute two I think I have seen that shitty ass movie, but
- 27:37I don't remember the title being pop quiz, Like, well, there's another.
- 27:41The sea was also can you repeat be? Because that one I wasn't
- 27:45one hundred percent clear on what you heard? What I heard the substitute three
- 27:48Winner takes all see that that could be decent enough, but pop quiz that
- 27:55I don't know, Like God, I don't want to say I seen the
- 27:56substitute. I think the first one at Tom Barton Joanny, isn't it?
- 28:00We had A for most everything else. Might as well stick with our A
- 28:03and go a fucking wonder. Twins that do it with each other unite will
- 28:07go A. You're going A, all right? And that is the correct
- 28:15answer the substitute quiz. That subtitle is incorrect. I made that up.
- 28:21It's something else entirely. I don't remember what three. I don't remember it
- 28:23is off top of my head, but it is not pop quiz. So
- 28:26well done, Scot from the series. It is a tie game two points
- 28:32two. So it's gonna come down to these last two sets, Stevie and
- 28:36you get the first one. Oh, here is your set of three.
- 28:40A body of evidence too, b wild Things too, or ce Jingle all
- 28:48the Way too. I know Wild Things two is real. I know Jingle
- 28:52all the Ways Too is real. Weirdo. Okay, so now we have
- 29:00to guess it for being Aaron or if a is incorrect, that's the horrible
- 29:04I don't know it was a again body of evidence too. I've never heard
- 29:10of it. I've heard of body of evidence. I don't know if there's
- 29:11ever been a sequel, though. I think we're getting errand or before the
- 29:15end, he errand us. You think errand us one more time. He
- 29:19wants to get one more errand in there, one more you know in there?
- 29:25Maybe yeah, or it's either that or a declined flip. I'll go
- 29:30by. You choose this time. I chose last time. I think we
- 29:34get in erin. He wants to throw another errand in here. You think
- 29:37we're getting errand all right? Uh so you're saying you are being errand Yeah,
- 29:45all right, Well the correct answer is a body of evidence two is
- 29:49not real. There was only one body of evidence movie, all right,
- 29:59So that's my fault. That's first. So it's either going to be a
- 30:02tie or Jabbo and Nishan can win with this last set. Jabo nishan,
- 30:07here you go, A I'll always know what you did last summer, B
- 30:15step Daddy Daycare or see, honey, we shrunk ourselves. Well, I
- 30:22already know C is a real one. Okay, so step Daddy Daycare,
- 30:27Step Daddy Daycare. That sounds like it was cheesy enough to be real.
- 30:32And then what was A again, I'll always know what you did last summer.
- 30:37I'll always know what you did last summer. For some reason, I
- 30:41want to say they're all real. I don't like, I'm not a thousand
- 30:47percent about the first one, but it sounds like some shit that they would
- 30:49that they would do. And I, for some reason, I think the
- 30:52other two were solid. So that's my call. I think we're being Aaron,
- 30:56but I'll I don't know, Okay, we'll go an Errand really damn
- 31:02I was Okay, we'll go with it. We'll go with me an Errand.
- 31:04All right, you think you're being Errand and you are not. The
- 31:08correct answer was B step Daddy Daycare is not real? Uh? There is
- 31:15there There is a There is a daddy daycare direct to video movie, but
- 31:18it's called Granddaddy Daycare. If there was one, but I couldn't remember see
- 31:26that needs to be a movie now, step Daddy, Dacre, maybe it'll
- 31:30be the third one. It's a bunch of different step dads, it's a
- 31:37bunch of father for the same kid. That is the end of the game.
- 31:42So both teams have two points, which means both teams win the game
- 31:45and get one point each. Good job. It is a draw. Well
- 31:52done everybody. Um, So when we come back, we're gonna see if
- 31:56we can break this tie. The next games were two points and we're gonna
- 32:00play it right after this. Hi, I'm Shannon, I'm Jamie. We're
- 32:13Married with Television, Married with TV dot com. We are a couple of
- 32:16Hollywood dormies on the outskirts of the film and TV industry, and we talked
- 32:21about our favorite TV show's music and movies, and sometimes they talk back to
- 32:24us. Our podcast is Married with Television One Word on Stitcher, Spotify by
- 32:30Tunes, and SoundCloud. Possibly Amazon is here, and we are a proud
- 32:37member of the Odd Pods Media Network. Very with hey dot com. Hey
- 32:57man, welcome back. It's time for game two. Game two is gonna
- 33:00be pitched me baby one more time for this week's pitch me. Last time
- 33:06we did a movie special. I asked our players to pitch a movie sequel
- 33:09that they wanted to see. This time, I'm gonna ask for something that
- 33:13might be a bit harder. I want you to pitch me a prequel to
- 33:17a movie that doesn't have one. What movie out there has a backstory that
- 33:23needs to be explored but it hasn't yet. All players are going to pitch
- 33:28me a prequel and cast it and explain the plot, and the best pitch
- 33:32will win two episode points for their team. U, Stevie, and Aggie.
- 33:38You're still tied. Nobody really lost the last game, but I gave
- 33:42job On Nashwan the first choice, So I'm gonna give you guys the choice
- 33:45this time. Would you like to go first or seconds? How you feeling
- 33:49ag I've got I'm come prepared, but definite. Yeah, I can go
- 33:53if you want to go, or let's do it. You guys want to
- 33:57go first? Yeah, let's let's age go first. We're gonna right,
- 33:59We're gonna we're playing this to win this time. We're not fooling around no
- 34:02more. No, not fooling around no more, No, absolutely not.
- 34:07Are they are they actually going to be good? Oh? No question but
- 34:13the whole point of the pitch. I mean, I'm just gonna feel so
- 34:17bad if Jeff, Finn Shawn lose again lose they tied us. Yeah,
- 34:24No, I mean I mean the last episode. Yeah. Anyway, remember
- 34:30you guys are going first, Aggie, go ahead and give me your pitch.
- 34:32What what prequel do you think we should get? Okay, and I
- 34:36apologize if this is anyone else's, but I think we should get a prequel
- 34:40of the Matrix. And I'm talking back before the Machines, when Haywire and
- 34:47started attacking the planet. Interesting, I'm talking the lead up too, the
- 34:54intro to the Machines pre uprise, where you can witness the catalyst of set
- 35:00up rise, and the plot would just be that the introduction of the Machines
- 35:05that they'll do anything and everything you want. But as events unfold and as
- 35:10this new technology and robotics start to flood the planet carry out any tasks of
- 35:15them, the AI that runs it all, whom relatively quickly learns that they
- 35:20were built for eternal servitude and that humanity is just well garbage in general,
- 35:27slowly plots and manipulates behind the scenes, and basically you will see the day
- 35:34essentially up to the day and then the day that the machines uprise and start
- 35:38using human beings as batteries, you'll see the day that basically it'll have The
- 35:45cast will be one of the technicians will be Zendaya, who is one of
- 35:51the people being manipulated by the AI to help break safeguards that keep it from
- 35:55gaining control or allowing it to harm and break the robotic law of harming,
- 36:01you know, their creators. Tom Holland will be Parallel Security. He'll be
- 36:09like almost kind of an investigator, investigating the seemingly inconspicuous at first malfunctions and
- 36:17petty crimes that the machines are doing as the AI starting to learn how to
- 36:22break free of the control. And then the director, who is essentially responsible
- 36:29for the whole AI program and whatever, and that's kind of caught in the
- 36:30middle, will be Pedro Pascal. Oh nice, He'll and he basically he
- 36:37will be the one kind of like trying to work with the government and the
- 36:40authorities to figure out what's going on, where the what's happening. You know,
- 36:45if it's him, they start to suspect that it might be him that's
- 36:49doing it, but it's actually the AI setting him up so that way,
- 36:52I do think get found out and stopped before they can get fully released.
- 36:57Okay, interesting, you put a lot of thought into this, which is
- 37:00unusual. It really is. Um yeah, that's that's pretty good. Um
- 37:08Stevie, can you top that? I don't know if I can, but
- 37:12hopefully I can compliment it. Okay, Yeah, ladies and gentlemen on the
- 37:15board, mister President President. For this movie, I have one of two
- 37:22titles, but I am flexible in it as well. The first title is
- 37:27one point twenty one jiggle Watts or flux back to the future story. Yeah.
- 37:37So in this movie, we will follow younger Doc Brown, still in
- 37:43possession of his family's wealth. We have an opening credit scene following a laborate
- 37:47invention that ends up feeding his dog. At this point, it's um uh
- 37:53Copernicus, Yes, thank you, I can remember. I couldn't remember how
- 37:57to say its name. It's not something I say that often. Yes,
- 38:01we get some of his backstory of the changing of his name too, Brown
- 38:05from Van Brouen because of the anti Germany issues that were happening in the US
- 38:09at the time, and then the audience is witnessed to the iconically told tale
- 38:15of the flux capacitors intact idea. So November fifth, nineteen fifty five,
- 38:22Doc Brown is trying to hang a clock while standing on a toilet. He
- 38:24falls and he actually comes to and gets the idea for the flux capacitor.
- 38:29So you actually get to witness this opposed to just hearing about this. This
- 38:32all happening. This shows him creating the prototype and then the designs and ends
- 38:37up burning through most of his fortune. This is where he purchases the DeLorean
- 38:42from Biffs Dealership, where George McFly actually worked during his trials there, it
- 38:50was a time bubble where he actually caused an issue with time itself where it
- 38:54stayed still and paused for a while, thus figuring out he needed something to
- 39:00compass an organic living thing while it traveled time or it would be altered.
- 39:06So this is where he got the idea of the DeLorean after having purchased it.
- 39:08It's encased in a lot of steel. He just had to make a
- 39:10reinforced area of it to encompass that so the living material could travel through it
- 39:16without being damaged. Through this time thing. I couldn't remember. It's called
- 39:21the flux the final flux capacitor is installed in nineteen eighty five, powered by
- 39:25plutonium that he stole from the Iranians. So we can actually get the portions
- 39:31of the Little Baxter as we hear of everything him trying to get the uranium.
- 39:36How did he get it? We can actually go into him making a
- 39:37bit on the black market to get it and then not paying them because he
- 39:40didn't, and he takes it, figuring, I'll be able to travel time
- 39:44whatever. I have to worry about it later. And that's why he did
- 39:45what he did. He didn't have to worry about the consequences as long as
- 39:49he was able to succeed, and he knew he had it in his mind
- 39:52he was going to succeed anyway. And what's the climax of the movie.
- 39:55Climax of the movie is gonna end. Instead of at the mall where all
- 40:01that happens, like where you see Doc get shot, he actually witnesses at
- 40:07this time. And this is what's gonna stop a lot of the other things
- 40:09for the prequel, which I'm not sure where I want to go with it
- 40:13yet. Damn it no, because if I do that, it will break
- 40:15two things I don't want to break. I'm not sure now, it's not
- 40:21a good time to have his own timeline is so convoluted it's hard, man.
- 40:25Yeah, that's why I didn't want to fuck with it too much.
- 40:29I was trying to go with the stories that we all heard about and want
- 40:30to witness more. Name is not only risky literally, but also writing it
- 40:36even. Yeah, I wanted to go through him growing up, through all
- 40:42this the changes you hear from distinguished person with children and stuff to all this
- 40:46other crap happening to him, like going to university for Doc. I was
- 40:52gonna jokingly pick nic Cage because I think it'd be funny to do it,
- 40:53but then I totally got rid of that and I actually wanted to go with
- 40:58Seth green I think that Seth Greene would actually portray Doc Brown in an appropriate
- 41:05manner and would actually take that role seriously because I think he actually idolizes him
- 41:09as much as a lot of other people do, including myself. Interesting,
- 41:14he's not the hype for that role really, He's closer to Marty's site Seth
- 41:20greens But um, it's an interesting pick because I think at the age he's
- 41:25at now, he would be a good young Doc Brown in his you know,
- 41:30middle aged forties and whatnot. So, yeah, that's very interesting casting
- 41:36anybody else or oh yeah, yeah, I had a few more. For
- 41:38Biff, I needed a kind of a newer, recognizable bully type, so
- 41:44from The Stranger Thing's success, I went with Tocree Montgomery. I don't know
- 41:50if you've seen Stray okay, fair enough, anybody who has would know exactly.
- 41:52He's the curly hair dude. He pullied a lot of people around in
- 41:54it for a bit. Dude, would I think portray that perfectly? Especially
- 41:59working a younger not totally older, but a kind of younger age, working
- 42:04at a dealership just like whatever. I'm a manager or a dealership and fucking
- 42:07Marty McFly works here, you know. For McFly, I chose Christopher Mints
- 42:14plus a. I think his last name is pronounced plays fogel or mclovin.
- 42:17Yeah, I think he would be pretty good as the older, not too
- 42:22older McFly, but you know, an adult McFly there. The only other
- 42:25things I had was I needed to have Doctor have a friend in there to,
- 42:30you know, a confidant through his issues and stuff. With the spending
- 42:34of his fortune, somebody's gonna try to back him up, probably lose contact
- 42:37with the later. So I actually created a character and I don't know how
- 42:42this would go over, but Gregory Wentsworth, he was his stable friend that
- 42:47has some fun with it, but he was really there. And this person
- 42:52I'm going to choose for this. I know, again it's an add on
- 42:54to a story that doesn't need it, so it might not, but I
- 42:58want to see his sincere side now, just because comedic side would be Ryan
- 43:00Reynolds to work next to Seth Green and that friend capacity not in that compedic
- 43:07I mean, he can still have that funny joke thing together as friends do,
- 43:10but I want him to be that one who's trying to help his other
- 43:14friend who's obviously intelligent person, but he's losing his life to something that's never
- 43:20going to happen. You can't make a time machine. Wow, Yeah,
- 43:23I want because you gotta have some kind of conflict in there, and I
- 43:27figured that's where that would be. That that's how their friendship dissolves. Yeah,
- 43:30oh that could be the climax. I'm sorry I didn't finish. Sorry,
- 43:34now listen, it's there's there's a lot there. Um, it needs
- 43:37to be a little bit more fully baked. But you you've got a solid
- 43:42premise and a solid concept, and I would I would want to see that
- 43:45movie. Cool cool. I started thinking, you guys have both put a
- 43:51lot of thought into this, and it's very strange. I'm not used to
- 43:52this. Well, we're gonna have a fucking cake. There's gonna like whatever,
- 44:02Just chill in the corner. You're gonna win this, no prob Sorry
- 44:09what was that? Meanwhile, I quickly realized how unprepared I am. Well,
- 44:17if your prequel is good enough, it won't matter. Um, So
- 44:22it's your guys, this turn. Who who would like to go first?
- 44:24To me? I'm gonna get it out and got them back, go for
- 44:30it, and it's gonna be as I told you earlier. When it comes
- 44:36to movies, it's something that's recently been seen. So um, last week
- 44:40on scene in fifteen, I did Waiting, or we did Waiting, and
- 44:45so that's the most recent movie I've seen. So I'm going with a prequel
- 44:47from that. Okay, yes, and so that prequel. The storyline is,
- 44:54so we've got a young, very young Drew Barrymore to start the penis
- 45:00showing game. She walks in, she sees a bunch of her co workers
- 45:08that are you know, they're seven, We're gonna go like seventeen year old
- 45:12kids, who are you know? This is their first time being servers.
- 45:15And she walks in and sees this group of guys having pretty much a dick
- 45:20measuring contest, and as they're doing so, she's like, why why would
- 45:24you do such things like that? Like can't you be more clever? Why
- 45:29don't you do something like and created the game. So along with this,
- 45:34you're going to have snanigans And it's pretty much although she started it, it's
- 45:40going to have from the time that she was seventeen to current day when Wading
- 45:45came out. So all of the different people that have been seen, you
- 45:50know, as far as you know, more famous actors that have worked would
- 45:55be part that it would be Shenanigan would have Nigans would have its own role,
- 46:00So it would be it telling the story and narrating it. Does that
- 46:02make sense? Yeah, okay, So that it would be from Shenanigan's perspective
- 46:10of all of the different actors that came in that that ran the different parts.
- 46:19I don't know, I'm not as good and detailed as what the guys
- 46:22are no. Um, I think it's definitely got a promise. Um and
- 46:29yeah, no, Waiting is a fantastic I love that very very funny movie.
- 46:34M but and I like I like the idea of all the action taking
- 46:37place in and Shenanigans is kind of the not only just the hub, but
- 46:43also like the narrator of the whole experience, right, which would be really
- 46:46interesting. And it's not supposed to be a thinking movie where you actually have
- 46:52to think. It's just supposed to sit there and you eat and just watch
- 46:57it. You don't have to think about it because all that stuff y'all would
- 46:59talk. That's too much thinking in my brain happening. That is absolutely fair.
- 47:07Um okay, so uh yeah, so all right, So there's just
- 47:13one more prequel left to hear. Uh jabo, what do you got for
- 47:16me? Oh god, um, I'm gonna I've said this on my show
- 47:21before, so I don't know if I should do this one because I'm mulling
- 47:23around my head be since I'm not really Yeah, we're gonna keep it shortened
- 47:27and sweet kinda. I'm going with Roadhouse Garrett, Now walk with me.
- 47:35We started like you know that that fucking Wade Garrett is the ship. Like,
- 47:39you don't know much about him by time you see him in Roadhouse.
- 47:43He's this old dude, lots of scars. And even when you see this
- 47:46motherfucker fight people like a half half his age, like Wade takes some lumps,
- 47:51but Wade is still a bad motherfucker. I want to know what got
- 47:55Wade there. So in my head, um, we got we got Ryan
- 48:00Gosling playing a young Wade. We're in Vietnam. His story starts in Vietnam,
- 48:08and I don't know all the particulars we need to put another We need
- 48:13to put another dude there with him. You know, he's in a military
- 48:15unit, doesn't really know how to fight that well, it's a basic little
- 48:17you know, opening Vietnam story. Toss somebody else in there that you know,
- 48:23did he's probably gonna, you know, end up beefing with. But
- 48:28the thing is, I kind of wanted to be somebody that I really really
- 48:30like, because there's no way in the world you can give me like a
- 48:32Wade Garrett movie without giving me like a really good, solid villain. I
- 48:37need to put him and Charlie hunt him in Vietnam together, and I don't
- 48:40know. I don't know what happens. But let's say that Garrett's got a
- 48:46check back home. You know, they're both doing their whole ground pounding thing.
- 48:51Like hunt him secretly can't fucking stand Garrett, so he does some shit
- 48:58to fuck around and leave him in Vietnam and everyone's like, oh, no,
- 49:00you know, we gotta get everybody out of here. And Charlie Huntam's
- 49:04character is like, oh, you know, fucking Sergeant Garrett's dead. We
- 49:07gotta get the and they leave his ass in Vietnam and ever, and everybody
- 49:10thinks he's dead. So hunt Um goes back to wherever, whatever town they're
- 49:15from, you know, and he's the sole survivor that that came from their
- 49:20town that survived Vietnam. And he comes back. He ends up marrying fucking
- 49:23Wade's girl, Like he gets all this you know, money, and he
- 49:28like ends up becoming this asshole, kind of not full blown Brad Wesley.
- 49:31We're gonna give him a daddy. So yeah, we're gonna give Charlie hunt
- 49:36Um a daddy. Probably play. I gotta figure out who I want older
- 49:39pissed off daddy to be. I haven't gotten there yet but meanwhile we shoot
- 49:45back to Vietnam. You got you got um, you got your boy.
- 49:51And it's weird that went with Goslin too, But you got guys back in
- 49:53Vietnam. They you know, they got pass for a young Sam. Yeah,
- 50:00because I'm kind of I was kind of trying to figure out who had
- 50:02thrown there, but then I looked at pictures of Sam Elliott younger, and
- 50:06I'm like, god, he just looked weird. I couldn't remember his last
- 50:08name, but yeah, Sam Elliott, Yeah, yeah, anyway, No,
- 50:12no, you're good. So we got so we got Gosslin there in
- 50:15Vietnam. You know, sergeant Sergeant Wade Garrett not getting out. His whole
- 50:19unit thinks he's dead, so he's stuck there and you know, prisoner a
- 50:22war whatever else. And I love. I don't know if you've ever seen
- 50:28the raid or the raid too, but I'm gonna butcher this poor guy's name.
- 50:31I know him, Gonna butcher his name. I believe it's close to
- 50:35pronounce uh ico ouash. Yeah. The neighbor, our dude, the Dudels
- 50:40across street from us, looks just like him. But if you've ever seen
- 50:44the raid, and you've seen this motherfucker. He's gonna be in the next
- 50:46Expendables movie, so you will see you but he's gonna be the guy that
- 50:52and like, trust me, just go watch the raid. Everything that the
- 50:57dude does, like a martial arts wise, is fucking fantastic. So,
- 51:01you know, have a little group of freedom fighters come and raid the camps
- 51:06or something just to you know, kill some Vietcong and get food or whatever
- 51:08to feed their village. They come across Wade and maybe a couple of the
- 51:13POWs. For some reason, Ico's character takes pity on Wade and freeze him.
- 51:19You know, Wade's like two steps from being like dead, infection,
- 51:22all this shit, you know, nurse him back to health, all that
- 51:25kind of crap. He hangs out in Vietnam a little longer because he's got
- 51:28to figure out how to get back to the States. But in the meantime,
- 51:30get him strong, to teach him how to fight. He starts whooping
- 51:34ass. I don't know how we put him back on American soil, but
- 51:37badass. I've just been fucking stuck in the jungle for like one two years.
- 51:42Everybody thought i was dead. I'm a I'm a complete ripped up beast
- 51:46Wade Garrett shows back up and fucking whatever hometown he's in, and he shows
- 51:51up to his old lady married and dropped the kid with punk ass fucking I
- 51:55hate to say the punk ass because I love Charlie Hunters with Hunt Him,
- 52:00and we've seen, dude, We've seen Jacks Teller season three, all strapped
- 52:07up with no shirt on, trying to fight people and fucking Ireland, so
- 52:13so we know he's got the chops to pull that off, so we give
- 52:15it, you know, but Hunt Him has become town villain and he owns
- 52:20a bar, really huge, crazy, fantastic bar, which is where the
- 52:23whole bar thing comes from with with Saide coming in and just whipping everybody's assing
- 52:29a five foot radius. Maybe we could go touches of Maybe we go Touches
- 52:32of Gangs in New York slash Count of Monte Cristo, where he comes back
- 52:39kind of under the radar, ends up getting a job hired working at this
- 52:44bar to get closer to his former friend to find out why the fuck did
- 52:46you, you know, try to kill me and leave me in Vietnam and
- 52:50just just push it out from there. I don't know, just a really
- 52:52just a really good Wade Garrett prequel, because Wade was so much of a
- 52:55badass that I had no problem with Dalton's the old lady dying in that movie.
- 53:02I wanted I wanted way to win that coin flip man. Seriously,
- 53:07that's fair that Yeah. No, um, that's really really good and in
- 53:14fact, you've made my job very very difficult. Um. Oh kay,
- 53:19You're prequel to The Matrix was good, but I feel like the Roadhouse one
- 53:22was better. Yeah, I I I don't know that I need to see
- 53:30what happens, right is the Matrix because it's kind of all laid out for
- 53:34you, and you know it is going to be a tragedy in the end.
- 53:37Oh yeah, the humans. That's something. I mean, it does
- 53:40have a good climax and that the humans at the end are going to make
- 53:43the decision to blot out the sky and that's going to be a horrific sequence.
- 53:47That probably will be the climax of the film where everybody's like, what
- 53:52have we done? Right? Um? So there's definitely promise there. But
- 53:59I like the row House one more so it just comes down to that one
- 54:02or Stevie, Because I did like the prequel to Waiting, but of the
- 54:07four, it feels like the one I'm the least interested in. Sorry,
- 54:12I like Waiting, but you're okay juvenile now, yeah, it's it's it's
- 54:19definitely the most juvenile. I watched it last week. Yeah, I mean,
- 54:24I love I love Back to the Future, but I also fucking love
- 54:29Sam Elliott, uh and and and Roadhouse and oh fuck me. Um,
- 54:38I just because it's something that my my, my, my, my childhood
- 54:45brain has wanted for a long time and would really love, I'm gonna go
- 54:51with Stevie's Back to the Future prequel. Oh my gosh, but only just
- 54:54only just um it needs more baking, Yeah, it absolutely does, but
- 55:00you have an incredibly solid premise and and child me really wants that to be
- 55:06real. I'm just saying the Roadhouse one was excellent, and I would absolutely
- 55:13want to see that one hundred percent, But Stevie caught me in the nostalgia
- 55:17feels a little too hard, and I gotta go with that. So it's
- 55:22not a bad voice. That's an amazing choice. Dude. They were yeah,
- 55:27they were, they were. They were all good and everybody's got something
- 55:30to be proud of in this game, but uh, Stevie just edges it
- 55:34out and I think because he knows me well enough to pick something absolutely and
- 55:39I genuinely uh yeah, I would love to see that anyway. So that's
- 55:45two points of Steeve and Aggie. It is three points to one in favor
- 55:47of Stevie and Aggie. But there's one game left. Game three is going
- 55:52to be worth three points and one of these two teams is going to win
- 55:55when we come back right after this. I'm Richie aka Midnight Agent Raw.

- 56:37out some voicemails. You do we have any Yeah, we got one right
- 56:42here, beautiful. Hit us up. Hello UK company at Cantankerous Cockwombules.
- 56:50Colin just wanted to leave a quick message to say I can't wait to hear
- 56:53the episode with Jabo and the show. Oh, I'm sure it's gonna be
- 56:59excellent, as you with the ones hope you all by. Oh, just
- 57:06absolutely. We just finished recording with them, both our episode with them and
- 57:10their episode for us, so you've got a bunch to listen to. So
- 57:15not only is there a BF by t W with topology probably going to be
- 57:20the one week Yeah, probably this very same episode. Um, but when
- 57:25you're done with this episode, go over and check scene in fifteen because we
- 57:29did an episode with them, so absolutely go and enjoy it. Man,
- 57:32And they were. They were both great, So I can't recommend it enough
- 57:37so much great time with them are great, dude. Yeah, so absolutely
- 57:42thrilled that that's something you're looking forward to, Colin. But yeah, we're
- 57:45probably gonna be doing more with them in the future because they're just fantastic.
- 57:50He yeah, for sure, man. Uh and we love you too,
- 57:52brother h Yeah from across the pond yo, hell yeah, hell yeah.
- 58:00Well if that's it for our voicemails, let's get back to the show.
- 58:14Hey man, welcome back. It's time for Game three, which is going
- 58:17to be four out of five dentists. Yes, yeah, I am going
- 58:21to ask our players five survey questions such as what percentage of Americans believe in
- 58:27ghosts? And one team is going to guess the exact percentage out of one
- 58:31hundred, and their opponents are then going to have to decide whether they think
- 58:36the correct percentage is higher or lower. If they're correct, they win the
- 58:39survey. Otherwise the original guessers win it, and then the teams will swap
- 58:45roles and we'll move on to the next survey. First team to win three
- 58:49surveys wins the game and earns three episode points. Jabon Nishan, you lost
- 58:54the last game. You're behind at the moment, but you can fix that
- 58:58right now. Would you like to be the team that guess is higher or
- 59:04lower first? Or would you prefer to be the team that guesses the exact
- 59:07percentage first? Sounds good for me. Yes, exact percentage first, exact
- 59:12percentage. It is all right, so you will be giving me an exact
- 59:15percentage guess to this question. And of course, because it's a movie episode,
- 59:19all of these surveys to revolve around movies. So according to a uk
- 59:23of poll, what percentage of Americans say that the experience of going to the
- 59:29movies is better now? Than it was ten years ago. What percentage of
- 59:34Americans say the experience of going to the movies is better now than it was
- 59:38ten years ago? And this this poll was done in twenty twenty three.
- 59:44Say that's got to be a crazy percentage. I think it's high because you're
- 59:50talking ten years ago, okay COVID, we're talking post COVID, but you're
- 59:54also that's true, but ten years they're okay. There's one thing that I
- 1:00:00I don't think will ever disappear. I don't think movie theaters will disappear,
- 1:00:02because there's something about watching something on that big ass screen. But here in
- 1:00:06the last ten years, think about the crap that's happened, Like you've gotten
- 1:00:09sound improvements, you've gotten I love going to the movies. I can't stand
- 1:00:15it. But i'd say about like we need a percentage of like what i'd
- 1:00:21say, but i'd got all right, sixty two sounds good. I wasn't
- 1:00:23about sixty five. Sixty two is good. Sixty two percent, say Jabo
- 1:00:29and Rashaan, so Stevie and Aggie, what do you think? Do you
- 1:00:31think the actual percentage is higher or lower than sixty two percent that think it's
- 1:00:37better now? Than it used to be. I think it's lower than that.
- 1:00:40I used to love going to the theater. I love movies. I'm
- 1:00:44a movie freak, but not as much as it used to be. Like
- 1:00:45I'll do the drive in now and even then it's even it's been rad Yeah,
- 1:00:50I'm sure it's improved, its streaming, So I don't think it's us
- 1:00:52gets a little rug. I think it's lower. I don't think it's I
- 1:00:55don't think it's because the facilities have been improved. I think it's just people
- 1:01:00just don't like people. There's more streaming services now. Yeah, it's easier,
- 1:01:02it's convenient. I'll wait the extra three months to watch it at almost
- 1:01:06have to deal with people. Okay, So you guys are saying it's lower,
- 1:01:08Yeah, all right, so job Neishana sixty two percent, sev and
- 1:01:14Aggie say lower. And the exact percentage of Americans who say the experience of
- 1:01:17going to the movies is better now than it was ten years ago is forty
- 1:01:22one percent. So absolutely right on Stevie and Aggie. You take the first
- 1:01:28st The price of the ticket is always too expensive when I can buy it
- 1:01:30at home and everybody can watch it for the movies and theaters still get it
- 1:01:35done even with the pandemic. I don't know we can do it right here,
- 1:01:38like everybody else doesn't here. Like I'm sure going to a theater is
- 1:01:44probably nice because there's not as many people there are now, so you probably
- 1:01:46got more room and stuff too, like if you do end up going,
- 1:01:49But I just don't have the appeal to go anymore. Yeah, I don't
- 1:01:53know. I just figured I thought with like the reclining seats and you're gonna
- 1:01:57sign ship down, like now you can pretty much order full meals there,
- 1:02:00Like I don't done. Yeah, it makes sense. I mean I need
- 1:02:05to tuck my shit in, all right. Uh, Stevie and Augie,
- 1:02:16you will now get the give the percentage on this one, and Job and
- 1:02:21Sean are going to guess higher or lower to this poll. According to a
- 1:02:24you gov poll, what percentage of Americans who have seen the classic Christmas movie
- 1:02:30It's a Wonderful Life say they liked or loved it? Well percentage light and
- 1:02:37or loved it. Liked and or loved It's a Wonderful Life. I mean,
- 1:02:43it's a good it's a classic movie. It's it's a positive. If
- 1:02:46I had to rate it, yes or no. I'd say yes. I
- 1:02:49mean it's not something I watch all the time, but I think most people
- 1:02:52think it as a possitive light. You think so, we're bo fifty.
- 1:02:53I would think so, so yeah, about fifty, closer to like.
- 1:02:57I wouldn't say like crazy, not eighties, seventies, seventies, About seventy
- 1:03:05percent. Yeah, go with a number after you can't go flat. Seventy
- 1:03:10three percent? Three? Okay, interesting deduction? Uh, Stevie and Aug
- 1:03:19you say seventy three percent of Americans who have seen It's a Wonderful Life say
- 1:03:22they liked it or they loved it. Um jab on Nashan, do you
- 1:03:27think the actual percentage is higher or lower than seventy three percent. I'll go
- 1:03:36lower with you, and maybe it's because I've never seen a movie. I
- 1:03:40have no explanation. I'm saying lower. You are both going lower than seventy
- 1:03:45three percent. Okay, Well, the correct percentage of Americans who have seen
- 1:03:52It's a Wonderful Life and say they liked or loved it is eighty nine percent.
- 1:04:01I'm on a different planet. I've never even seen that movie. I
- 1:04:05was in a radio play of it some years ago, just right after I
- 1:04:12liked it, I didn't love it. It was beautiful and I cried,
- 1:04:15it's it's it's a it's a it's a sweet story. But I guarantee most
- 1:04:20of these people liked it, and there's a smaller percentage that loved it.
- 1:04:24Um. But yeah, no there, I guess there's a reason it's a
- 1:04:28classic. So uh. That survey also goes to Stevie and Auggy jab on
- 1:04:32Shan you are in trouble U with anyone? Uh? And this ties into
- 1:04:41things that that you were talking about and your last poll. Here is your
- 1:04:45poll according to a Yugov poll, what percentage of Americans say the experience of
- 1:04:49watching a movie in a theater is better than watching it at home? No?
- 1:04:58Your high percentage? Oh no, this is the U show me and
- 1:05:02my sixty two got us nowhere. Okay, okay, So what the question
- 1:05:13is the percentage of people that say watching a movie in a theater is better
- 1:05:16than watching it at home? Is better than watching it at home? Yes,
- 1:05:20I'm I'm clearly not the dude that you want to answer this, because,
- 1:05:24like I said, I was like, no better, and they're like,
- 1:05:27no, motherfucker, they didn't. Did you want to go fifty eight,
- 1:05:32or you can be a real dick and put it like to fifty.
- 1:05:35Nont have a round number like eight. I love that there's this completely unofficial
- 1:05:45rule that you can't have a round number. There is nothing wrong with that.
- 1:05:50In fact, it is an epic troll move because you're basically forcing your
- 1:05:55opponents answer the question for you. So good, So what are you gonna
- 1:06:02go with her? Are you sticking with fifty eight? Yes? Fifty eight
- 1:06:08percent, okay, Stevie and Aggie, is the correct percentage of Americans who
- 1:06:13say watching a movie in a theater is better than watching it at home,
- 1:06:16higher or lower than fifty eight percent. It's I've got to be it's got
- 1:06:21to be a higher than fifty eight. Yeah, I think it is.
- 1:06:24It's quite close to fir home because of the comfort. So I think,
- 1:06:27yeah, I think it's about you think it's just above it. I think
- 1:06:29it's just above it. I think it was very close, like sixty two
- 1:06:31one. Yeah, yes, and I'm thinking I think a little higher.
- 1:06:35You're gonna go a little high. Okay. So Jobo Nishan desperately need this,
- 1:06:42uh they say that, Uh. Fifty eight percent of Americans say the
- 1:06:46experience of watching a movie theater in a theater is better than watching it at
- 1:06:50home. And Steve and Aggie say higher, Jobo Nishan. If you had
- 1:06:56gone with that nice round number, you would have been exactly right. The
- 1:07:00answer is fifty percent. Wow, Wow, sucked. Not this time.
- 1:07:09You won this survey, so you're still in it as the good news.
- 1:07:14But you also got to win the next two. Let's get so. But
- 1:07:18you're you're going in the right direction now though. What are the odds?
- 1:07:23Yeah, it's it's kind of it was. It was kind of incredible.
- 1:07:27When I saw that survey. I'm like, oh, we absolutely have to
- 1:07:30do this one because that is so bizarre. Um, yeah, exactly fifty.
- 1:07:34Okay, So Steve and Aggie, this time you guys are giving me
- 1:07:38a percentage job when Sean are gonna say higher and lower? Steve and Aggie,
- 1:07:42here is your poll. According to a you Go poll, what percentage
- 1:07:45of Americans who say they watch horror movies say they never get nightmares after watching
- 1:07:51horror movies? Never get nightmarage. I'm one of those people. Never once.
- 1:07:57I don't get nightmares, not even once, because once is something.
- 1:08:00No, they said, never I have I know for a fact I have
- 1:08:03Freddie was in my mind a lot when I slept like he did as a
- 1:08:06reason, that's why they made him. Um, I think we're not.
- 1:08:12I think it's gonna be lower. Do you think I think it's gonna be
- 1:08:15like sub forty dude? You think yeah, they get like thirty seven?
- 1:08:20Yes? Fuck yes, thirty seven sir, yes? Okay, uh,
- 1:08:30job O Nishan is the correct percentage of Americans who say when they watch horror
- 1:08:35movies they never get nightmares higher or lower than thirty seven percent. I think
- 1:08:44it's higher. And the reason I think it's higher is because I don't think
- 1:08:45people are honest with themselves as to whether they actually have nightmares based because of
- 1:08:50that, So I think that it's going to be a higher higher. Okay,
- 1:08:57job Owned Nishan are going higher. So Stevie and Algie say thirty seven
- 1:09:00percent of Americans never get nightmares after watching horror movies, and Jabo and Sean
- 1:09:06say it is higher than thirty seven percent. The correct answer was forty percent.
- 1:09:12Oh shit, you were really really close. But it is higher.
- 1:09:17So take the survey. It's all tied up two to two. Nice it's
- 1:09:23just because I don't know. I just don't think that scary movies are scary
- 1:09:26anymore because normally, when a really big one hits, yeah, everybody talks
- 1:09:30about it because like you haven't heard, like I haven't watched like a horror
- 1:09:33movie in forever, but I know that Hereditary hit really big. I know
- 1:09:38that Barbarian apparently hit really big. Smile hit really big. Like when horror
- 1:09:43movies do really well, like you hear about, like regardless if you watch
- 1:09:45anything, you see them everywhere. Yeah yeah, so um, but this
- 1:09:51one was really interesting to me because when I was six years old, I
- 1:09:55saw a horror movie I probably shouldn't have seen, and I had horror nightmares
- 1:09:59about about it for years. Yes, candy Man did for a while.
- 1:10:04I think it was deep for me. Yea. At the beginning of candy
- 1:10:08Man, it wasn't even candy Man in the movie, it was just the
- 1:10:10beginning at the stalls. I was like, Nope, this movie is messed
- 1:10:14up because we had those those parks. Oh yeah, I love that movie.
- 1:10:20That freaked me out too. You're right the nose. Okay, So
- 1:10:25this is the final survey. This is going to determine it. Job On
- 1:10:28Nishan. You were going to give it the exact uh, the exact percentage
- 1:10:31and stepan Aggie, You guys are gonna tell me whether it's higher or lower.
- 1:10:35So here goes job on Nishan. According to a Yugov poll taken before
- 1:10:41the twenty twenty three Golden Globe Awards, what percentage of Americans said, everything
- 1:10:46everywhere, all at once deserved to win the Golden Globe for Best Musical Slash
- 1:10:53Comedy Motion Picture musicales six percent, eighty six percent, eighty six percent.
- 1:11:03We're gonna go eighty six percent. Okay, one more time with the question,
- 1:11:09just to be sure, okay, according to EGO poll taken before the
- 1:11:13twenty twenty three Golden Globe Awards, and I should be absolutely expressly clear about
- 1:11:17this um. The choices they were given wasn't does this movie deserve to win
- 1:11:23or not? It was here's the five movies. You can pick one of
- 1:11:27these or pick not sure how many of those Americans picked everything everywhere, all
- 1:11:33at once deserved to win the Golden Globe for Best Musical Slash Comedy Motion Picture
- 1:11:42eighty six. Live it alright with you because it said the same thing when
- 1:11:45we watched it because we did that scene. That movie is because it's the
- 1:11:48shit you know, fuck it? Oh you know a baby, we go
- 1:11:53down, we go down together? Fucking fifth month. Eighty six percent?
- 1:12:00The fuck Yeah? I love the support. Such an expression of love.
- 1:12:03I can't handle it. Um so um, eighty six percent is what they've
- 1:12:11gone with. Is the actual answer higher or lower than eighty six percent?
- 1:12:16No, I haven't seen this movie, Auggie, but from God you have
- 1:12:21to experience. Okay, it's so good. It's good, it's legitimately good,
- 1:12:29and it'll turn your perception of shift on its ear. It's really good.
- 1:12:32Does John c more than fifteen minutes of it? Yep? Okay,
- 1:12:36that's that's all I need to know. Cool. Um, I'm gonna eighty
- 1:12:44six seems high. I mean even for a poll, it's like one fifth,
- 1:12:47yeah, and even one fifth of people even doubling that. So I'm
- 1:12:51gonna say it's closer to like, I don't want to say it supposed to
- 1:12:55like sixties, maybe forties even, But I think it's lower than eighty six.
- 1:12:59Yeah, I don't think it's it's gonna be that high. There's it's
- 1:13:02lower, but I don't think it's that low. You don't think so,
- 1:13:05but I agree that it's lower. Okay, Well, as long as we
- 1:13:08support each other and we say it's lower than we're in such an expression of
- 1:13:12love, I can't handle it. Yeah, um lower it is the total
- 1:13:21percent of that's as low as my voice goes. Um all right, um
- 1:13:26okay? So uh jab on Nashan say, eighty six percent of Americans said
- 1:13:30Everything Everywhere, All at Once deserved to win the Golden Globe for Best Musical
- 1:13:33Slash Comedy Motion Picture. And Stevie and Aggie say lower the correct percentage brace
- 1:13:42yourselves? Oh no, is eight percent? Eight just eight percent. That's
- 1:13:49awesome. That's because I didn't watch it, believe it or not. This
- 1:13:55survey had sixty four percent say not sure? Who Yeah, that's crazy.
- 1:14:02And Everything Everywhere, All at Once wasn't even the biggest of the ones that
- 1:14:05were there. There was another movie there on that list that scored higher than
- 1:14:10Everything Everywhere, All Once, like ten percent, but it wasn't. I
- 1:14:15was genuinely amazed by that survey, which is why I had to pay here
- 1:14:19just eight percent, which, unfortunately for Jambo and Sean, means that this
- 1:14:26survey goes to Stevie and Augie. They have taken three surveys and they have
- 1:14:30our dream team have finally won a game. We won't many episodes. I
- 1:14:38don't believe that, Like I was thinking like eighty five percent lower, like
- 1:14:43as in lower, like maybe eighty four eight. Yeah, did they just
- 1:14:47like fall asleep on the button I happened? It was insane. I looked
- 1:14:54at it and I refreshed the page just to make sure, like this,
- 1:14:58this has to be wrong, Like I've ever seen the film, but like,
- 1:15:01oh, I've never everybody is coming themselves over it, so yeah,
- 1:15:08it has to be good. Oh that movie is good, dude, it's
- 1:15:13it's it's just an in't like, yeah, we did it on scene in
- 1:15:15fifteen. But if you've never seen that movie, like Everybody's Little Man Will
- 1:15:20Doctor Strange and Marvel already kind of did the whole like multiverse thing. This
- 1:15:26is a better version. It's a well like, yeah, it's a complete
- 1:15:30mind fun Marvels Marvels like, and I'm not bashing Marvel, but their whole
- 1:15:34thing kind of seems like, hey, this is the way that we can
- 1:15:36save everything that you don't like about whatever movie we did with this, Like
- 1:15:41somebody sat down when you watch this movie, you will completely respect the fact
- 1:15:45that somebody sat down, thought all the shit out and wrote it. It's
- 1:15:47incredible. It's it's very like out the window. Everything that you're expecting gets
- 1:15:51turned on its fucking air. But it is very good. It is very
- 1:15:56very good. And Michelle Yos and key Quan's performing they're supposed to be excellent.
- 1:16:00Oh shit, Oh they're amazing. It's so amazing. Like the I
- 1:16:04would tell you the premise of the movie. That's a whole other thing that
- 1:16:08I won't shut up about, but just trust me, it's worth given.
- 1:16:10It's worth given times. Yes, there's a whole I'll give you that much.
- 1:16:17There's a whole scene in there where Michelle Yo's character is in combat with
- 1:16:24several other people. But the key to them beating her. Now, I'll
- 1:16:28just give them this much because you can't not tell them this and them not
- 1:16:30watch it. Everybody is dying to get a butt plug inside of themselves to
- 1:16:34be able to fight her. It's amazing, Like it's crazy as shit.
- 1:16:41Did you just see a bunch of dudes like trying to fight her to get
- 1:16:43the butt plugs to put them in their asses as they can do battle sound
- 1:16:47amazing, sounds like people can't admit they want to do the same thing wise
- 1:17:01like don't do it, don't say it, They're gonna know you love the
- 1:17:02butt plus chick pick other. It falls to me to reluctantly congratulate our dream
- 1:17:11teams and Aggie for winning the point one job one Niehan, this just means
- 1:17:15you have to come back and play. Yep, that's that's all that means.
- 1:17:19Um and I good with that, dude. I'm all the way good.
- 1:17:21I desperately look forward to that. This has been a blast, as
