- 0:00Here's your host, Alex Garrett. Before I get to any more guests on
- 0:11this podcast, I have one burning question today for the One leg A podcast.
- 0:17Why the hell is doctor Nima Cheffique, who was the twentieth president of
- 0:22columb University. Why the hell is she still president? You know, what
- 0:29may have started out as free speech, although encampments and zonings, a tear
- 0:33is to me an active ah not peaceful, and I want to say an
- 0:39active terrorism, but it's an active holding a place hostage. Remember we saw
- 0:45in Seattle Chaz that autonomous zone. How horrible that was for the businesses around
- 0:53there. So when I saw ten City popping up for cause, that's really
- 1:00become anti semitic. When you say you are Hamas, when you say I
- 1:06am Hamas, that's not free speech. When you stand there and call for
- 1:11the targeting of Jews on a college campus, that's hate speech. That's not
- 1:17peaceful protest, that's inciting violence. You know, the left loves to say
- 1:21Trump insided violence on January sixth, My god, is this not inciting violence
- 1:26against the Jewish community? Is this not anti Semitism? I think it is.
- 1:33The Free Palestine movement has become really quite frankly anti Semitic, and the
- 1:38fact that it's hit our college campus is to the point where Jewish students and
- 1:42all of the students are told to stay home. Why the hell is doctor
- 1:48Shaffi still present? As now what she's allowed on this campus has spread through
- 1:55other campuses. No, I will not have another guest on until I address
- 2:00this because here's the fact of life for me. Columbia University's health system saved
- 2:05my life. Okay, Columbia Universities, the University of Medicine and the medical
- 2:12hospital attached to Columbia University saved my life. And we just had a great
- 2:16nick C event with the few with the doctors that saved my life in the
- 2:23seventy seven days I was in the hospital, and when we went through the
- 2:28campus of Colombia, it was so beautiful. It was peaceful, it was
- 2:31crowded, it was lit up for Christmas time. All that beauty has become
- 2:44horror. It's horrific when you see a woman standing there and masked by the
- 2:49way saying that Jews should be targeted and here's your next target, terrorists.
- 2:55It's terrific when you hear them say I am hamas do they mean, are
- 3:01they just saying it for the hell of it? It doesn't matter. It's
- 3:05a threat. So for the third time this podcast, because she's not resigned
- 3:10yet. How many more donors will it take before doctor Schaffique resigns as president
- 3:20of Columbia University? How many donors is Robert Kraft pulling his donations? Not
- 3:28enough for the Columbia University board to even push for the resignation. This isn't
- 3:38accepting of all views. It's telling one sector of the student body you can't
- 3:45come on campus because we're gonna let these others riot, you know, cause
- 3:51tyranny, cause chaos. And for any other university president that lets this happened,
- 4:01shame on you too. Shame on you for making the Jewish student body
- 4:06feel unsafe on a place where they're supposed to learn. Shame on you for
- 4:13hiring educators who are promoting Prohamas ideology in the classroom. No, I will
- 4:21not have another guest on this podcast till I get this off my chest because
- 4:26it's bothering me. Doesn't it bother you? Shouldn't it bother you? Whatevery
- 4:32thing of Alec Baldwin. He did not want to say free Palestine. He
- 4:34did not want to hear some bull crap from a free Palestine activist. If
- 4:45this doesn't bother you, if the targeting of Jewish people alone doesn't bother you,
- 4:53then don't even listen to this anymore. You know, don't got pound
- 5:01sand is a you know one radio host I know, Keem McCullough would say,
- 5:12because at one leg up with Alex Garrett, we will not be silent.
- 5:16As the fear for Jewish people grow. That's when the voices become louder
- 5:28to shout down that growing fear, say no, you're not gonna intimidate the
- 5:34Jewish population, the Jewish student body across all campuses, by the way.
- 5:41But for Colombia to be so far left that they're letting this happen, and
- 5:46act so far left they're letting this happen where a rabbi has to tell the
- 5:51Jewish student body don't come into campus today, stay home, and then for
- 5:58the entire campus to be remote. Shouldn't have gotten to that point. Shouldn't
- 6:03have gotten to that point. I'm very enraged, and maybe I have to
- 6:12yell into the microphone, but I'm not the yelling type. I just know
- 6:15that this cannot be acceptable. And yes I applaud Mayor Adams and President Biden
- 6:23for calling out this university and the spread of anti Semitism on the campus.
- 6:29But where were they a few weeks ago, a few months ago, a
- 6:31few years ago, when this was really starting to build up. They are
- 6:39acting on it now because it's a headline. But even CuNi Law School,
- 6:45right, they had anti had anti Semitic speaker as commencement speaker a couple of
- 6:55years ago. Remember that uned system. You know, I graduate from Queens
- 7:00and the Helala has always been grateful and by the way great and by the
- 7:04way, the hardest part and for me to digest about all this is how
- 7:15peaceful the American Jewish community is. Because they don't deserve this. They do
- 7:21not want to cause harm to anyone, yet they are being harmed by this.
- 7:30It's not right. It's not right that Jewish people want to live their
- 7:33life, go about their day without fear. And instead of recognizing that and
- 7:43helping them through that, the campus is where they're supposed to get a graduation
- 7:46and a degree from are saying we don't care that you're peaceful. We're gonna
- 7:51let these anarchists that's the word. I'm going to anarchists take over our campus
- 7:57and tell you how bad you are gonna let them say they're Hamas and not
- 8:01do anything. Okay, maybe some suspensions here and there, but it's not
- 8:09enough. It's not enough. And no far lefties, it's not a military.
- 8:18The militarization is not of the NYPD, it's of you supporting what's going
- 8:24on, supporting this aggressive behavior against Jewish people. That's the militarization. You
- 8:31are militarizing the protesters by supporting the encampments. The NYPD is not militarizing here.
- 8:37Let's get that straight. Let's get that right, and let's get that
- 8:41straight. And the commenters. My fiance Gaby goes, why do you look
- 8:48at this because it burns me up. It fires me up to come to
- 8:50this microphone and say, look, the allowance of this to begin with,
- 9:00and the hiring of professors to begin with, is not the college environment that
- 9:09New York City should be allowing, normalizing, or getting used to. You
- 9:16hire a prohamas professor that sympathizes you, fire them as soon as you know
- 9:22what they're saying. The Ivy League is supposed to be one of the smartest
- 9:31ring of schools institutions Columbia, Princeton, Yale, Harvard, Brown. If
- 9:43they are looking like the most dumbest, irresponsible campuses and insiders of anti Semitism,
- 10:01they are inciting it. They're inciting violence, but no one's been hurt
- 10:05yet. Yeah, well wait, wait till the words become actions, then
- 10:11talk to me. The whole point is to stop it before it becomes actions.
- 10:18From what I can see and as someone who is of Jewish blood and
- 10:24also my observations, the Jewish people since October seventh have done things that are
- 10:30far more peaceful in protests than what these agitators, the anarchists that claim to
- 10:39be for free palacy. No, you just want to eradicate the Jews,
- 10:41that's what you want to do. Free Palacey moment. I'm not afraid to
- 10:45say that on this podcast. It's beyond and Yahoo and all that. It's
- 10:52beyond that. At this point, it's a threat to your Jewish neighbor right
- 11:00here in New York City, and campuses are standing for that kind of threat.
- 11:11Donors, pull away your money now, NYPD be on guard. Just
- 11:16thank you for protecting these campuses and these Jewish students and campus presence, university
- 11:22presence re How do I even say this, because there's no getting back the
- 11:37image of Columbia University as a proceigure No, this isn't This is not a
- 11:39proceigus institution anymore. And it saddens me to say that because the campus is
- 11:46so beautiful and looks proceigious, but it's not a prestigious campus anymore if they're
- 11:48gonna let this happen. So if you are doctor Schaffiq or other Columbia University
- 12:01faculty that I have allowed this, I hope you get fired. I hope
- 12:07you get pushed to resign tomorrow, because when those Jewish students start really getting
- 12:16attacked because the words are becoming are brewing, the anti Semitism is brewing,
- 12:24they'll be blood on your hands. And I will state that firmly here on
- 12:31the Alex Garratt podcast Network. It's anti Semitic. What's going on? Not
- 12:39free Palestine. Get it right or get the hell out of the way.
