- 0:00Speaker 1: What up you watch your boy kem on stage. Welcome
- 0:02Speaker 1: to the Ball Brothers Podcast. Here where me and my
- 0:05Speaker 1: good friend Wax poetic on everything, TV, movies, music, sports, cartoons, sandwiches,
- 0:12Speaker 1: whatever we feel like talking about. Whatever Marquita Bradley puts
- 0:14Speaker 1: on these cars. She's a black woman of the trade.
- 0:18Speaker 2: We need to do top braids, top top Breid designs.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Alright, today we're doing top movies based on a city, Boston, Tony.
- 0:29Speaker 3: Give them the criteria for what a movie based on
- 0:32Speaker 3: a city is.
- 0:33Speaker 2: So the city has to be a part of the
- 0:35Speaker 2: fabric of the story, like it's ingrained within it.
- 0:38Speaker 3: You know how we watch movies and be like where
- 0:40Speaker 3: did shoot this?
- 0:41Speaker 2: It could be non descript like house Party, for example,
- 0:43Speaker 2: you don't know what city that was in. But like
- 0:45Speaker 2: some movies, the city is undeniable. So we want to
- 0:48Speaker 2: focus on movies like that where it's just like, oh, yeah,
- 0:51Speaker 2: we know where they at, even if it's like a
- 0:53Speaker 2: university that they're on, like a major university, everybody knows,
- 0:56Speaker 2: like Harvard or something, and they all around there. We know,
- 0:59Speaker 2: all right, it's in Harvard. I don't be knowing where
- 1:01Speaker 2: Harvard is though.
- 1:02Speaker 1: Hard and Boston, Harvard Hobby. Y'ah, all right, I think
- 1:08Speaker 1: I kicked off the last one, so it's on you.
- 1:10Speaker 3: I'm kicking it. I'm kicking it off.
- 1:11Speaker 2: I'm kicking it off with Mystic Ripper. I knew you
- 1:14Speaker 2: were gonna say that.
- 1:17Speaker 3: Man, is that my.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Let me tell you something, man, Sean motherfucking pen.
- 1:27Speaker 3: He was acting his ass off in that movie. Man.
- 1:29Speaker 2: The whole cast was amazing, and that movie was amazing.
- 1:34Speaker 2: It was like a murder mystery who done it? And
- 1:37Speaker 2: the characters were gray as I like three dimensional.
- 1:40Speaker 3: Ain't nobody perfect?
- 1:41Speaker 2: You know who's behind it and everybody making moves you
- 1:44Speaker 2: didn't expect. But at the core of it is about
- 1:47Speaker 2: loss of father, losing the child, and it was just
- 1:50Speaker 2: now it resonates even more for me.
- 1:51Speaker 3: But like, have you went back to it? Hell yeah.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Sometimes I just watched scenes just because I watched that
- 1:57Speaker 2: scene when he's on the back porch with Tim Robbins
- 1:59Speaker 2: and he's talking about his daughter, And I'll watch the
- 2:03Speaker 2: scene when you know he discovered, when they discovered the
- 2:05Speaker 2: body and Kevin Bacon's standing there as Sean pinn is
- 2:08Speaker 2: held held back by eight billion cops, and like, I'll
- 2:11Speaker 2: be taking those in.
- 2:12Speaker 3: That's tough.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Yeah, and so you and I rewatched the whole thing
- 2:17Speaker 2: like a couple of times too, because it's just so
- 2:19Speaker 2: so well done.
- 2:21Speaker 3: Clint Eastwood directed it.
- 2:22Speaker 2: And I'm just amazed that they didn't do a lot
- 2:24Speaker 2: of takes because he don't do takes.
- 2:25Speaker 3: Clint Eastwood be like, we got it. You know, it's
- 2:29Speaker 3: interesting confirmed it recently.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Yeah, everybody does. Tyler Perry gets flat from that. Clint
- 2:35Speaker 1: Eastwood doesn't. Yeah, they Clint Eastwood be like, we got it.
- 2:39Speaker 1: One take, move on. Andy Hopkins is notorious for not
- 2:42Speaker 1: wanting to do a lot of takes.
- 2:44Speaker 3: So you hire him.
- 2:44Speaker 1: He's like, I'm not finna, I'm not about to do
- 2:46Speaker 1: this day. Yeah, I practiced it, I did it.
- 2:49Speaker 3: I got it. You need to have him cameras and
- 2:51Speaker 3: focus the first time. And Lord Lenny expounded on why
- 2:54Speaker 3: he does it like what she said.
- 2:56Speaker 2: She said, because he was doing all those Westerns in
- 3:00Speaker 2: his career, and a lot of times they had to
- 3:02Speaker 2: keep the sick quiet, not a lot of gut actions,
- 3:05Speaker 2: so he don't do that.
- 3:07Speaker 3: He'd be like, all right, everybody ready, you know what
- 3:10Speaker 3: I'm saying. Go ahead.
- 3:12Speaker 1: Oh, they had to keep it quiet, so the horses
- 3:14Speaker 1: have to spook the horses and you got yeah, Clint East.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Will be back there, like go ahead and then take
- 3:21Speaker 2: and he was like, I like it, you like it?
- 3:23Speaker 3: How's the focus? All right? Moving on?
- 3:27Speaker 1: The horses are lo I did good horses ain't even
- 3:30Speaker 1: in the movie.
- 3:31Speaker 3: I like it any man.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Whatever they're doing down there, down there, they would say nay, Josh.
- 3:44Speaker 3: If they didn't like it, they wouldn't say nay.
- 3:46Speaker 2: But missic River is an amazing movie, and it's set
- 3:49Speaker 2: in Boston is very much a part of it, and
- 3:51Speaker 2: everybody had the accents.
- 3:52Speaker 3: All Right, I'm gonna kick it off with good Will
- 3:55Speaker 3: Hunting another good choice. Good Will Hunting is so good.
- 4:00Speaker 3: One of my favorite scenes in that movie.
- 4:02Speaker 1: I love all the Robin Williams stuff and Matt Damon
- 4:06Speaker 1: in the bar, but low key. The scene that changed
- 4:11Speaker 1: Matt Damon's character is when Ben Affleck tells him every
- 4:14Speaker 1: day I come pick you up. I hope you don't
- 4:16Speaker 1: answer the door because you're too good for this place.
- 4:19Speaker 2: He's taking pride and like the hood and he was like, man,
- 4:23Speaker 2: get the hell out of here, Man out of here.
- 4:25Speaker 3: Man, we don't have we can't do nothing. I've been home.
- 4:27Speaker 3: When I come to pick you up, what the fuck
- 4:29Speaker 3: are you doing? Man? We work at construction.
- 4:33Speaker 1: You ain't supposed to be over here with us. Man,
- 4:36Speaker 1: you better than that, and low key I think less
- 4:38Speaker 1: of you because you're with me. That's all I It's
- 4:41Speaker 1: all I can do. This is it all I do? Hammer, hammer,
- 4:44Speaker 1: nail beard patriot. That's that's my life. I accepted you.
- 4:49Speaker 1: You're supposed to be doing something.
- 4:50Speaker 3: That's that's how you know you had a good ass friend.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Good friend, because the bullshit friends will be like, man,
- 4:56Speaker 2: oh you think you better Like Michael Jackson's friends in
- 4:59Speaker 2: the Bad Video.
- 5:00Speaker 3: Wisley snaps and.
- 5:01Speaker 2: There old college boy, huh think you better than us?
- 5:06Speaker 3: Michael was like, cut off of me. Ain't you ain't nothing?
- 5:15Speaker 3: You ain't nothing? So yeah, good will hunting, great choice.
- 5:20Speaker 3: You know how easy this is for me?
- 5:22Speaker 1: He was pissed off at stelling Scar's cards.
- 5:26Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I don't know how to explain this to you.
- 5:28Speaker 3: This is easy for me.
- 5:30Speaker 1: Just a genius with a janitorial job. Man high.
- 5:35Speaker 2: And there's so many like good conversations had in that movie,
- 5:38Speaker 2: like the the argument Robin Williams had with stealing. Yeah,
- 5:42Speaker 2: you know, these conversations were just that movie was just
- 5:45Speaker 2: just a good movie. Af Like Mat David wrote that, Yeah,
- 5:49Speaker 2: all want to ask you for it. I'm going gone,
- 5:52Speaker 2: baby Gone, get out of my mind. I'm in there,
- 5:55Speaker 2: get out of my mind. Take her in the rind
- 5:57Speaker 2: Man Gone going another Ben.
- 6:02Speaker 3: What's the Watt's name? The main one?
- 6:05Speaker 2: Yeah, that's uh. I forget her name every time because
- 6:08Speaker 2: I confused it with who we brought up in Michelle Williams.
- 6:11Speaker 2: No that Michelle Williams. No, you confusedly with Michelle. I
- 6:13Speaker 2: confused Michelle Monahan. Yes, is that her? No, it's not
- 6:17Speaker 2: Michelle Monahan. It is Michelle Minah.
- 6:21Speaker 1: That's who it is, Okay, right, yep, Angie General Jenner Gennaro.
- 6:31Speaker 2: So when we said Michelle Monahan yesterday, I was thinking
- 6:34Speaker 2: of the other girl that used to be with Tom Brady,
- 6:38Speaker 2: Chizelle Bunching. No, not that one, the one that acts
- 6:43Speaker 2: Tom Brady. Yeah, Bridges minor minor hand or something maybe
- 6:49Speaker 2: perhaps anyway, Going Baby, Going Man sat in Boston. Casey
- 6:55Speaker 2: Affleck is Ben's younger brother. Ben Affleck, the direct oriol debut.
- 7:00Speaker 2: He did a great job on the directing tip.
- 7:04Speaker 3: Bridget about.
- 7:06Speaker 2: That's what I was thinking about, Tom. You said, Tom Cruiser,
- 7:09Speaker 2: Tom Brady, Tom Brady. Yeah, oh I didn't know that. Okay, okay.
- 7:14Speaker 2: And you got the great cast, you got Ed Harris,
- 7:17Speaker 2: you got Morgan Freeman and the side characters. The environment
- 7:22Speaker 2: is very key. They're trying to solve who kidnapped this
- 7:27Speaker 2: little girl what's her name?
- 7:29Speaker 3: From the wire? Was fantastic. Yeah, that she was. She
- 7:32Speaker 3: was the security guard in the wire. Her name is?
- 7:37Speaker 3: Her name is Amy Ryan. Amy Ryan is killer in
- 7:39Speaker 3: that man. I just loved it. And everybody's tough in Boston, big.
- 7:44Speaker 1: They ain't playing around in Boston speaking of being tough,
- 7:47Speaker 1: and in Boston, the the potted.
- 7:49Speaker 3: Yes, I love you know what.
- 7:52Speaker 1: As far as movies go, and twists and things that
- 7:57Speaker 1: I didn't see coming. Spoiler alert, Leonardo DiCaprio got shot
- 8:04Speaker 1: at the bottom of that elevator. I about jumped out
- 8:07Speaker 1: of my skin because that's not how movies go. He's
- 8:11Speaker 1: supposed to saw he's done, he won it. Dissolved to
- 8:15Speaker 1: be that quick with it though, Yes, like was it
- 8:18Speaker 1: was a disposable death.
- 8:20Speaker 2: Yeah they were they Yeah, story.
- 8:25Speaker 3: Think he was the only rat he had.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Matt Damon's character work in that elevator scene from where
- 8:31Speaker 1: he starts and he's confident and by the time he
- 8:34Speaker 1: gets to the floor, he's.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Like, man, just kill me, man, man, because it's over.
- 8:37Speaker 3: You know what was in it for him? Man? And
- 8:39Speaker 3: the best part about it is he thought he got away.
- 8:41Speaker 3: He did. He was at home in his little condo,
- 8:48Speaker 3: Mike Woitburg ultimates Pride man.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Mike Witberg had the shoe covers and he killed him,
- 8:57Speaker 1: just like, al right, excuse me, moving on, because you
- 9:03Speaker 1: thought you got away with it, thought you got away
- 9:05Speaker 1: with it. And Mark Mark Warburg hadn't been in the
- 9:07Speaker 1: movie in a minute, so I low key forgot about.
- 9:12Speaker 3: They threw out.
- 9:14Speaker 2: On the roof and shot Anthony Anderson Tough. It was
- 9:19Speaker 2: chaos that the parted.
- 9:21Speaker 3: Jack Nicholson was like, man, I'm not gonna be doing
- 9:23Speaker 3: this accent. He was like, get me. Has he ever
- 9:28Speaker 3: done an accent?
- 9:29Speaker 1: He liked Denzel like, I'm in the movie. I don't
- 9:32Speaker 1: care what y'all doing. I'm in the movie. Y'all can
- 9:35Speaker 1: be Romans. I'm Denzel, y'all can be Boston. I'm Jash.
- 9:39Speaker 3: Nobody gives Jack flag for that. They always coming for Diesel.
- 9:42Speaker 3: Ye always the same. Shut up when.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Jack Nicholson said, sniffling, little rot, who cares if he
- 9:52Speaker 1: had a Boston accent, because at that point I'm invested.
- 9:56Speaker 1: There's plenty of Boston accents. Everybody in Boston don't even
- 9:59Speaker 1: have to have the accent. I know his character was
- 10:01Speaker 1: supposed to.
- 10:02Speaker 3: I wanted. Jack was just like, hey man, y'all, I'm
- 10:04Speaker 3: not doing it.
- 10:05Speaker 2: When you hire Jack Nicholson, y'all gonna y'all gonna ben
- 10:08Speaker 2: to what he got. Yeah, because it's like Jack Nicholson,
- 10:12Speaker 2: this is what we do. But every movie star, I
- 10:15Speaker 2: feel like this, if you're gonna be a primetime movie star,
- 10:19Speaker 2: you have to have the same traits through various movies. Agree,
- 10:25Speaker 2: you can't be a chameleon. No, that's great, that's a
- 10:27Speaker 2: great skill. But the audience, the audience as a whole,
- 10:31Speaker 2: is not attached to I.
- 10:32Speaker 3: Don't know what he finna do.
- 10:34Speaker 2: They want to come in with some familiarity. Clint Eastwood,
- 10:37Speaker 2: Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Denzel these are the highest Tom
- 10:42Speaker 2: Hanks will SWI man, we know what we getting. I'm
- 10:45Speaker 2: signing up Lewis. That's amazing. Yeah, it's a gamble. I'm
- 10:50Speaker 2: not pulling up to the phantom threat. I'm sorry, I'm
- 10:53Speaker 2: not pulling up to the nines.
- 10:55Speaker 3: Yeah, you're right. You can ask everybody, but it's like
- 10:57Speaker 3: we don't know what we're getting. You think Michael be
- 11:00Speaker 3: Jordan's on that trajectory.
- 11:03Speaker 2: He might be the last movie star because we need
- 11:07Speaker 2: that familiar stamp to carry us for sure.
- 11:10Speaker 3: Yeah, I know when I.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Know Will is in there, I know, big Bravado run.
- 11:17Speaker 1: He's gonna be running, He's gonna be willing. I'm fine
- 11:21Speaker 1: with that. I signed up for that. Jeffrey Right whom
- 11:23Speaker 1: I love. He's a community, He's a comeleon. It's tough
- 11:27Speaker 1: for the open movies set up Sterling K. Brown, you
- 11:30Speaker 1: get and he actually does great character work. But you
- 11:33Speaker 1: I pull up for Sterling k. You know, you know
- 11:36Speaker 1: he gonna come in Alves good run he might STARNI K.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Brown might have the best run in movie. He's running Paradise.
- 11:45Speaker 1: I said, that's a good run. That's a good run.
- 11:47Speaker 3: Man.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Tom Cruise runs like T one thousand.
- 11:52Speaker 2: I'm running. Tom Cruise gonna runs like this. Ain't even
- 11:55Speaker 2: about that.
- 11:55Speaker 3: Let me run. Jerry McGuire, like, why are you running?
- 11:59Speaker 1: Jerry football movie, gonna ron and he's gonna slide over
- 12:03Speaker 1: the hood of a car. Oh yeah, he got a
- 12:05Speaker 1: good hood slide, running a lot too pigeonto.
- 12:13Speaker 3: Slow too.
- 12:15Speaker 1: He got like a John Wick always run like he
- 12:17Speaker 1: just got shot or kicked in the knee or something
- 12:19Speaker 1: like John Wig. Though maybe we filled out them steps
- 12:23Speaker 1: for an hour. I said, man, you dad john Wick?
- 12:27Speaker 3: He felt down. It was almost cartoon man. It's the
- 12:30Speaker 3: man watch out.
- 12:32Speaker 1: That was a great angle though, because otherwise that movie
- 12:35Speaker 1: can't get made.
- 12:36Speaker 3: It was like, hey, y'all, he can't get shot. Bulletproof suit.
- 12:40Speaker 3: I would love a suit like that for real. You up?
- 12:43Speaker 3: You up? Yeah?
- 12:44Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm gonna go with Man. So many, so many
- 12:47Speaker 2: movies to choose from. I'm gonna go with the Town Man.
- 12:50Speaker 1: That's three movies in a row. I'm still picking another one,
- 12:53Speaker 1: and that pick another one. I pulled the go to
- 12:56Speaker 1: you off your face? The Town was I love heist movie.
- 13:01Speaker 1: It's up there, it's underneath heat. It's just a good
- 13:04Speaker 1: heightst movie said it all. He The Town is in
- 13:07Speaker 1: that conversation of just like brilliant dope heist movies. It's gritty,
- 13:12Speaker 1: it's the character Jeremy Renner was killing it in that
- 13:16Speaker 1: God he took that little, this loud, little drink when
- 13:20Speaker 1: he knew he's gonna die.
- 13:21Speaker 3: He was behind that thing. He was like thirsty when
- 13:26Speaker 3: they got blasted. He was such a criminal. Jeremy Renner
- 13:30Speaker 3: was got to hurt some people.
- 13:32Speaker 1: I can't. You can't ask you a question. You can
- 13:35Speaker 1: never stay where you went away. You're dead, all right?
- 13:38Speaker 3: All right? You need a road dog like that. Man.
- 13:42Speaker 2: I feel like the Town of Movies that just wasn't
- 13:46Speaker 2: is Michelle Monahan in that she might.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Be was the girl they you know, Ben Long, he
- 13:53Speaker 1: loved to run the cast back.
- 13:55Speaker 2: I think that is her. Oh no, it's that girl
- 14:00Speaker 2: that's part black, Rebecca Hall.
- 14:01Speaker 3: She's part black.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Yeah, she wrote, she wrote a book, did the documentary
- 14:05Speaker 2: called Passing, and now her mom is passing.
- 14:09Speaker 3: That's that's passing.
- 14:11Speaker 2: Her mom is passing. So she she talked about that,
- 14:13Speaker 2: but she she got black in it.
- 14:15Speaker 3: Oh you know what.
- 14:16Speaker 1: John Ham is the FBI agent and that he wasn't.
- 14:19Speaker 1: He was brilliant too.
- 14:21Speaker 3: He's the bad he was the roads, the florest. He
- 14:24Speaker 3: was great than that.
- 14:25Speaker 1: He's good. All right, I'm gonna go and I don't
- 14:29Speaker 1: care what you think about it. Legally blonde, legally blonde.
- 14:35Speaker 1: She went to lost with Harvard in Harvard. Okay, legally
- 14:39Speaker 1: blonde is a great log line for a movie. And uh,
- 14:44Speaker 1: Reese Witherspoon absolutely kills that a fun fact. Her daughter
- 14:49Speaker 1: looks more like her than she looks like herself.
- 14:52Speaker 2: That's crazye have you seen her daughter?
- 14:57Speaker 1: Look at Reese Witherspoon daughter. It's like, okay, God, you
- 14:59Speaker 1: got to do you gotta do something now.
- 15:02Speaker 2: And you know what, Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippi or fleep,
- 15:07Speaker 2: they kind of favor one another in terms of just
- 15:11Speaker 2: like a couple.
- 15:12Speaker 1: Yeah, you know you can see tell me that, ain't
- 15:17Speaker 1: that's the same person who.
- 15:21Speaker 3: Could man watch out like twenty five years? Is this
- 15:27Speaker 3: a steel image? I think we get a steel image
- 15:29Speaker 3: on that picture. That's this picture? Look at that?
- 15:35Speaker 2: Ain't that that just looks like that's copy and paint.
- 15:38Speaker 2: It looks like when they do the AI version that
- 15:41Speaker 2: like AIGs you down.
- 15:43Speaker 3: That's what she looks like.
- 15:44Speaker 1: She just looks like she took a picture next to
- 15:45Speaker 1: herself and she was twenty five.
- 15:47Speaker 3: I've never seen her daughter till this very moment. No,
- 15:50Speaker 3: she looks just like her. She yes, it's.
- 15:54Speaker 2: Almost freaking sexual reproduction exists. She had that baby by herself.
- 15:59Speaker 3: But yeah, I love that movie. It's a good little
- 16:01Speaker 3: fun movie. Uh. She was great in it.
- 16:05Speaker 1: It was like clueless if clueless girl got to go
- 16:06Speaker 1: to college and we're smart.
- 16:08Speaker 3: You never seen it. I've never seen it all the
- 16:10Speaker 3: way through. I did.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Can't tell an Tony, I don't say nothing. He's just
- 16:13Speaker 1: like you do the same I do. He'd be like, yep, yeah, yep,
- 16:18Speaker 1: you're here, all right, you up, I'm gonna.
- 16:20Speaker 2: Go with uh we not oh The Fighter say something
- 16:26Speaker 2: I wouldn't go.
- 16:27Speaker 3: Yeah. The Fighter with Christian Bell, Mick Wahlberg, wake waybird Wick.
- 16:32Speaker 2: Burg, Amy Adams is in that thing as well, brilliantly casted.
- 16:37Speaker 2: The performances are amazing. Christian Beale got his first Oscar
- 16:40Speaker 2: for that It might be his only one, too far.
- 16:43Speaker 2: He lost mad Way for he was super.
- 16:46Speaker 1: He was like from from that as skin as he
- 16:50Speaker 1: wasn't that, and as big as he was when he
- 16:52Speaker 1: came remember the name of the movie.
- 16:53Speaker 3: But when he played Dick Cheney, Yeah, oh yeah Vice Vice,
- 16:57Speaker 3: And I'm like, brore you doing this for real? Yourself.
- 16:59Speaker 2: He's like he he went from the Machinist to the
- 17:04Speaker 2: dark Knight. Batman begins, oh dang the machine. He was
- 17:09Speaker 2: emaciated in that movie.
- 17:11Speaker 3: Yeah he was.
- 17:12Speaker 2: He was sickening. Now you see every bone in his body.
- 17:16Speaker 2: And then he went from that to bulking up.
- 17:19Speaker 3: He was a pretty big Yeah. So I'm like, yo, bro.
- 17:22Speaker 3: He eventually he was like yo, I got a chill
- 17:25Speaker 3: on this. Oh my god, that's what she is.
- 17:28Speaker 2: He was wasted away, that is that is so he

- 21:24Speaker 3: I was just thinking about that movie based on movie.
- 21:26Speaker 3: I thought you was gonna say it.

- 21:30Speaker 1: brilliant movie.
- 21:32Speaker 3: It makes me like miss.
- 21:35Speaker 1: The the time newspapers had, They had time to work
- 21:42Speaker 1: on a story, they had time to get quotes through
- 21:45Speaker 1: interviews sources like and they could break I feel like,
- 21:48Speaker 1: because of the way the world is now, it still
- 21:52Speaker 1: happens sometimes with like The Atlantic or The New Yorker
- 21:55Speaker 1: or The Times or stuff, but not as much as
- 21:58Speaker 1: like Watergate, I felt like would be broken by video
- 22:02Speaker 1: or by team j more than like journalists.
- 22:04Speaker 2: Yeah, Rich Nixon, y'all want to get in the office,
- 22:07Speaker 2: as we called him on Instagram, breakfast club, Like that's
- 22:11Speaker 2: what I'm talking about.
- 22:12Speaker 3: But Spotlight, man, they was going.
- 22:14Speaker 1: They was like and then they had the internal struggle
- 22:17Speaker 1: and they was like, nah man, we got it.
- 22:19Speaker 3: This is our job, this is our duty.
- 22:22Speaker 2: So yeah, and the way that the way the cast
- 22:26Speaker 2: was amazing. Michael Keaton, Mark Ruffalo, what saying Mark Ruffalo
- 22:30Speaker 2: has that is him? Don't you think that's really him?
- 22:33Speaker 2: I feel like that's he's in his spirit for real,
- 22:37Speaker 2: because that's how he be on the red carpet.
- 22:39Speaker 3: He's like, nah man, this is going to.
- 22:41Speaker 2: Do something about what's happening to these kids. He was
- 22:44Speaker 2: fed up. He was fed up.
- 22:47Speaker 1: I got it. I can't stay quiet. And that's when
- 22:50Speaker 1: he was on the red carpet, they was talking about something.
- 22:52Speaker 1: He was like, he can't stay and I can't. I
- 22:54Speaker 1: don't even know what you're talking about. Palestine, y'all.
- 22:57Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't even be feeling good about being here.
- 23:03Speaker 3: This is all great, but man, this ship is wrong. Man.
- 23:05Speaker 3: We got a president in office that's on some bullshit, y'all.
- 23:10Speaker 2: But the golden clothes man, fuck, the real globe was
- 23:13Speaker 2: in turmoil, y'all. We gotta do something. They're gonna turn
- 23:20Speaker 2: into the whole for real, for real. But I love
- 23:23Speaker 2: that about him is amazing. That's why he's perfectly casting
- 23:26Speaker 2: that wrong. Yeah, because they cause he can champion and
- 23:30Speaker 2: everybody ain't really going with you my ruffalo, Like nah, man,
- 23:33Speaker 2: I gotta say it.
- 23:35Speaker 1: And they moved the people. It was like when you're right, ruffalo,
- 23:39Speaker 1: Like I know, imagin ain't my character's name in this.
- 23:42Speaker 2: And even even when they were investigating the people that
- 23:45Speaker 2: were the victims of these priests, when they would talk
- 23:49Speaker 2: to them, I remember, uh Rachel McAdams was talking to
- 23:52Speaker 2: one of the kids that grew up to be an
- 23:54Speaker 2: adult when he had like broke down. It was like
- 23:58Speaker 2: moments that just felt real I was just like, man,
- 24:00Speaker 2: this movie is amazing.
- 24:01Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm glad that one best picture for sure. We
- 24:04Speaker 3: got one more each. That's what. Oh, that's here we go.
- 24:09Speaker 2: Boston got so many, so many movies.
- 24:12Speaker 3: Man, I'm gonna go with dang Man. I don't know
- 24:23Speaker 3: Coder was in Boston. I didn't even know. I didn't
- 24:27Speaker 3: see Colder either.
- 24:28Speaker 2: I'm gonna go with I'm gonna just pick this movie
- 24:31Speaker 2: on the sheer performance of Johnny Depp Black mass.
- 24:36Speaker 1: You you bring that performance up in that movie all the.
- 24:40Speaker 2: Time, Johnny Depp and Black Mask because whenever people be
- 24:43Speaker 2: like Johnny Depp always.

- 24:48Speaker 2: And I be I bring up Blow, I bring up
- 24:50Speaker 2: Donny Brasco, and you gotta watch Black Masks Man.
- 24:54Speaker 3: Yeah, he plays white Bulger, Whitey Bulger.
- 24:59Speaker 2: He is creepy, menacing, just like damn. He got the
- 25:03Speaker 2: accent like yo, man, he is a scary guy. What's
- 25:07Speaker 2: his name is in it? Doctor Strange, Benny Diict, Cumberbat,
- 25:11Speaker 2: what a name on the name is God, that's a
- 25:15Speaker 2: name Ben.
- 25:16Speaker 3: There was cumber back.
- 25:18Speaker 1: Syllables McGee for his name. What they call him for sure,
- 25:21Speaker 1: Benny Come, that was bad.
- 25:24Speaker 3: That was bad. Benny's bad bad. As it came out,
- 25:28Speaker 3: I said, now, Benny come, and in theory that could
- 25:34Speaker 3: could work. But Benny to come. As it left my mouth,
- 25:41Speaker 3: I'm trying to read Benny Come. It's tough. B C.
- 25:44Speaker 3: Maybe just b C. Benny. D's what's up with the
- 25:51Speaker 3: t on there?
- 25:52Speaker 2: Dick uh black mass man on the on the sheerspill
- 25:59Speaker 2: for Johnny performance Man, Okay, if.
- 26:01Speaker 1: We're gonna share string of performance and I'm gonna go
- 26:03Speaker 1: shut her Island. And I don't love that movie. I
- 26:08Speaker 1: don't either. I don't love Loving People. I don't love
- 26:12Speaker 1: it at all. But Sheer performance. Leo Leonardo DiCaprio, he
- 26:19Speaker 1: was grading there.
- 26:20Speaker 3: He was a Leal.
- 26:22Speaker 2: He'd be bringing it, man, le bringing it. But a
- 26:25Speaker 2: lot of times he'd be the same guy. He's a
- 26:28Speaker 2: movie stuff. He doesn't get flat for that either. He
- 26:31Speaker 2: doesn't now he they are gonna throw in, uh, what's eaton?
- 26:35Speaker 3: Gilbert Grape? That was years ago, like post Titanic, Post Titanic,
- 26:40Speaker 3: Leo be and Leo you can plug, you can plug
- 26:42Speaker 3: his blood Diamond character into Oh my God.
- 26:46Speaker 2: Wolf of Wall Street. Just blood diamond in in in stocks. Yeah,
- 26:51Speaker 2: you can plug the aviator into you can break the
- 26:55Speaker 2: aviator into the Great Gas.
- 26:56Speaker 3: For sure, you can.
- 26:57Speaker 1: That might be if if somebody cut a seat in
- 27:00Speaker 1: between that movie, you might not even notice it because
- 27:03Speaker 1: that was that was like.
- 27:05Speaker 2: Until he starts getting into his reclusive stage, you know
- 27:11Speaker 2: what I mean. And so but I feel like to
- 27:14Speaker 2: be a movie star, you have to be.
- 27:16Speaker 1: That is the benefit and the drop back. But that's why,
- 27:20Speaker 1: that's why there's more than one person in a movie,
- 27:22Speaker 1: because you gotta have somebody that's gonna sell the ticket.
- 27:24Speaker 3: You gotta have the ticket seller, and then you gotta
- 27:27Speaker 3: have the Tom Sizemore.
- 27:29Speaker 1: My god, Tom Sizemow was never gonna open a movie,
- 27:33Speaker 1: but he makes movies. He is not even He probably
- 27:36Speaker 1: number eleven on the maybe nine on the fifth or sixth,
- 27:40Speaker 1: and he enemy of the State. He probably lower than
- 27:44Speaker 1: that nine. But his scenes, Yeah, you're gonna go choo chooting,

- 27:52Speaker 1: Regina King, they got your boy, Angeline and jo Lead
- 27:57Speaker 1: Daddy John voice in there. But when Tom Sizemore is
- 28:01Speaker 1: on the screen saving Private Ryant, he but you're not
- 28:05Speaker 1: gonna go see any in the State starring Tom Sizemore.
- 28:08Speaker 3: As my boss.

- 28:16Speaker 2: can put above the title.

- 28:21Speaker 1: see based on the director, because you you put me.
- 28:25Speaker 1: When we was talking about Christian Bell opening movies, when
- 28:28Speaker 1: we was talking about Brida Frankenstein tanking, and I was like, man,
- 28:32Speaker 1: I thought he was opening good, and he was like,
- 28:34Speaker 1: you put him with Chris, Christopher Nolan or somebody p
- 28:37Speaker 1: then he opened good.
- 28:39Speaker 3: Christopher Nolan was also set like.
- 28:40Speaker 1: Christopher Nolan done sold all his movies except maybe the
- 28:44Speaker 1: Batman franchise.
- 28:45Speaker 3: Yeah Batman, you know what I'm saying. But he he,
- 28:47Speaker 3: I think he helped.

- 29:03Speaker 3: We're just gonna start for scrap. Even though you may move.
- 29:07Speaker 1: Right, but I think there's certain spike him Steven Spielberg
- 29:12Speaker 1: for me, even I don't want to listen now.
- 29:14Speaker 2: But Denny Villanov was becoming that. Now, gim are low key,
- 29:19Speaker 2: yim row there's another Frankingsteon was so good. I proof
- 29:26Speaker 2: of direct. Frankenstein was great.

- 33:23Speaker 1: Who's the dude who plays Robert Patrick? Robert Patrick? So
- 33:28Speaker 1: I was watching his YouTube videos. I watched it. I'll
- 33:31Speaker 1: watch a random YouTube video if I've got something. I
- 33:34Speaker 1: was watching this video on how he practiced running without
- 33:37Speaker 1: blinking so he can look more scary s T one thousand.
- 33:44Speaker 1: He also wanted to run and look like he wasn't breathing.
- 33:46Speaker 1: Seems like a robot would not have breath or blink.
- 33:51Speaker 1: And I'm like, that's why he looks so terrifying, because
- 33:54Speaker 1: I'm he just and when remember the first time they
- 33:56Speaker 1: shot him and his body turned to the caprice son.

- 34:45Speaker 2: when she's all soft and she.
- 34:48Speaker 3: Was working at the little at the restaurant.
- 34:50Speaker 2: She was gritty when came that transition, and low key's
- 34:54Speaker 2: gotten that.
- 34:55Speaker 1: Like all the movies about the robots, they eventually decide
- 34:59Speaker 1: humans the problem. We got to kill y'all. No human Scott.
- 35:06Speaker 1: That was like, you know what, we're actually great as robots.
- 35:10Speaker 1: I think we need to give rid of y'all.
- 35:12Speaker 3: They're not wrong.
- 35:15Speaker 1: You think I ain't gonna be like if they destroy
- 35:19Speaker 1: the planet, they're gonna destroy us.
- 35:21Speaker 3: Yeah, what if we just killed them? Y'all? It always
- 35:24Speaker 3: comes to.
- 35:24Speaker 2: It's logical when you take emotion out of everything robots
- 35:28Speaker 2: are like this.
- 35:30Speaker 3: Neither does the planet kill them? Yeah, all right, you up.
- 35:34Speaker 2: I wouldn't say this about Terminator too, to say what
- 35:37Speaker 2: you want if you didn't see extended trailers or any
- 35:41Speaker 2: type of like you know stuff, you're going to Terminator
- 35:45Speaker 2: to just watching it raw and you already seen the
- 35:48Speaker 2: first one and you see the Terminator Arnold looking for
- 35:52Speaker 2: John Carnor because if you look at it on paper,
- 35:56Speaker 2: Robert Patrick looked like he could have been a good guy.
- 35:59Speaker 3: Yeah, and then you see there's.
- 36:01Speaker 2: A scene where he comes comes into contact with both
- 36:04Speaker 2: of them and you see Arnold going for that would
- 36:06Speaker 2: have been amazing reveal, just like.
- 36:09Speaker 3: Oh ship, Nald's good this time.
- 36:14Speaker 2: That would have blew your head off if you didn't
- 36:16Speaker 2: know that Arnold was gonna be good in the second.
- 36:18Speaker 3: One and all we're protecting it.
- 36:20Speaker 2: Yeah, those bleeding popcorn just popped out the thing. That
- 36:25Speaker 2: would have been an amazing real with you all right?
- 36:29Speaker 2: For me, Aliens, I left that there for it. I
- 36:34Speaker 2: thought about taking man, but I said, I don't want
- 36:37Speaker 2: to do them.
- 36:37Speaker 3: Like Aliens is my favorite movie.
- 36:40Speaker 2: That movie, to me, is the perfect sci fi action
- 36:45Speaker 2: horror blend.
- 36:46Speaker 3: It's all in one. It's all inclusive. It's a cruise.
- 36:49Speaker 2: You got the great dynamic of we sending the team.
- 36:53Speaker 3: Man, just kick ass Maries.
- 36:55Speaker 2: That's gone, and you got the one now man, y'all
- 36:58Speaker 2: don't know what y'all dealing with, but I'm gonna go.
- 37:00Speaker 3: And then you got the CD dude with the ulterior motive.
- 37:03Speaker 2: It's always the ulterior motive guy in the mental terror
- 37:07Speaker 2: and horror double. I gotta get this back to the
- 37:09Speaker 2: company every every time.
- 37:13Speaker 3: That's that's actually what happened. And Welcome to Darry. It
- 37:15Speaker 3: always had general is like we need to make him
- 37:18Speaker 3: for the rush and it's like we gonna die.
- 37:21Speaker 2: We're gonna contain this horrible creature that we can't control
- 37:24Speaker 2: it and try to control it and use it.
- 37:26Speaker 3: For stranger thing.
- 37:27Speaker 2: It's always come back to capitalism is the real veil
- 37:31Speaker 2: every time, every time, and Aliens to Me contains one
- 37:35Speaker 2: of my favorite movie characters in Ripley play by Sigourney Weaver.
- 37:39Speaker 3: You love her.
- 37:40Speaker 2: I love her because she is just the perfect like
- 37:44Speaker 2: she's scared, she's terrified. She has to do what she
- 37:48Speaker 2: has to do and ain't no fake bullshit. She gotta
- 37:51Speaker 2: be tough when she gotta be tough, but you still
- 37:53Speaker 2: see the vulnerability. It's all just perfectly blended within her.
- 37:57Speaker 2: And James Cameron gonna milk every action he can out
- 38:02Speaker 2: of everything.
- 38:03Speaker 3: He might be another director. Oh absolutely, he might be enough.
- 38:07Speaker 3: Just say, James Cameron, we pulling up.
- 38:11Speaker 2: And the aliens are terrifying, man, these are terrifying.
- 38:15Speaker 3: One was bad enough. Now you got a population with
- 38:21Speaker 3: the double mouth and the acid blood and the long head.
- 38:25Speaker 3: What you're gonna do when you see them in the roof.
- 38:27Speaker 3: You're just looking for him there.
- 38:28Speaker 1: In the room.
- 38:29Speaker 3: Man, They're in the room, bro. And then he looks
- 38:32Speaker 3: up in the ceiling and they crawling. Man, come on, man,
- 38:37Speaker 3: aliens is perfect. All right, I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go.
- 38:40Speaker 3: The Matrix, Okay, I freaking.
- 38:45Speaker 1: This.
- 38:45Speaker 3: Ain't seen the.
- 38:45Speaker 1: Matrix period, She's never seen it. How she dissed that,
- 38:51Speaker 1: I don't know. That was together then, No, No ninety
- 38:53Speaker 1: nine when we met the next summer, y're young, we are.
- 38:58Speaker 1: I went and saw the Matrix by myself. I go
- 39:00Speaker 1: to hold you as a Christian, still super religious. Hated
- 39:03Speaker 1: the gays at this time. I hated the gays. Don't
- 39:08Speaker 1: hate the gays now, but when I saw the Matrix
- 39:11Speaker 1: and I stepped outside of Velpasso, I went by myself.
- 39:14Speaker 3: The pasto sucks.
- 39:18Speaker 1: I stepped outside and for like a good five minutes
- 39:20Speaker 1: tone I was like, how.
- 39:23Speaker 3: Do I know? Like, how would I know?
- 39:26Speaker 1: Because the movie could be a part of the Matrix.
- 39:28Speaker 1: They could put me in here and I still be
- 39:30Speaker 1: in the Matrix. The thing I love about the Matrix
- 39:34Speaker 1: the villain, I guess, not the villain, but the backstabber
- 39:38Speaker 1: guy completely justified for sure. He was like, I don't care, man,
- 39:44Speaker 1: I'm not eating gruel again.
- 39:46Speaker 2: I think you would be him because you bougie. I'll
- 39:51Speaker 2: come on, man, put me in the fourth Seasons. Let
- 39:54Speaker 2: me get this ruse, Chris, this is him. Let me
- 39:59Speaker 2: would just.
- 39:59Speaker 1: Be like up girl Girl Girl's.
- 40:04Speaker 3: Ship every day. If they were like, you know what I'm.
- 40:07Speaker 2: Built for, Zion, I'm built for that. We wearing the
- 40:11Speaker 2: same clothes. I'm built for that. You gonna be like,
- 40:16Speaker 2: Man the Fourth Seasons, man ignorant brute.
- 40:22Speaker 3: He ain't that steak? He was like, ain't not the
- 40:25Speaker 3: captain from Bad Boys? Yeah?
- 40:27Speaker 1: Yeah, Joe, yeah, he said, man, and uh not like this,
- 40:34Speaker 1: not like this the way it was gone.
- 40:36Speaker 3: I say that all the time.
- 40:38Speaker 1: Oh, that first one was so good. Uhgo Mortenson, h
- 40:44Speaker 1: and B go Mortensen. Mister Henderson, who is it?
- 40:47Speaker 3: You go weaving?
- 40:48Speaker 1: You go weaving. You're right, I'd be geting them confused.
- 40:51Speaker 1: I can see why Hugo weavings when he would just
- 40:54Speaker 1: say missterer, just the way he was saying that so
- 40:58Speaker 1: dry like man.
- 41:00Speaker 2: Early on, he was like damn when they were first
- 41:03Speaker 2: It's like, you know, I saw that movie before it
- 41:06Speaker 2: was actually released. They used to show They used to
- 41:08Speaker 2: show us early releases on campus in New Mexico State.
- 41:11Speaker 3: Oh, I saw Next Riday like that.
- 41:13Speaker 1: They showed it like like a month before, and I
- 41:16Speaker 1: was like, yo, this is good.
- 41:18Speaker 2: Raw.
- 41:18Speaker 3: There was no there was no word of mouth, there
- 41:20Speaker 3: was no I'm sorry, not next right.
- 41:22Speaker 2: We went in there and saw the mats raw and
- 41:24Speaker 2: I was just like my teeth shattered.
- 41:26Speaker 3: I was just like, this ship is is so perfect. Will.
- 41:32Speaker 1: I know Will regrets turning it down, but his character
- 41:35Speaker 1: he too big to be Neo, not like physically big,
- 41:38Speaker 1: but like charisma Neo needs.
- 41:41Speaker 3: Neo's main thing is he needed to be unsure if
- 41:44Speaker 3: he could do this.
- 41:45Speaker 1: Will Smith has too much charisma to be like, I
- 41:48Speaker 1: don't know, Like Keanu is just like this kind of
- 41:50Speaker 1: like and you don't know until he knows.
- 41:54Speaker 3: Remember when the.
- 41:56Speaker 1: The bullet scene at that time, that was revel, that
- 42:01Speaker 1: was in the move that was in pop.
- 42:02Speaker 3: Culture for years. They required directors were doing there. It
- 42:10Speaker 3: was everywhere that the game.
- 42:13Speaker 1: But as far as sci fi goes, just a great
- 42:15Speaker 1: original concept stolen by from a black woman. Yeah, stolen
- 42:22Speaker 1: a black woman had to sue. She got paid though,
- 42:25Speaker 1: we Jahowski. I think their sisters now, yes, I think
- 42:27Speaker 1: they're yeah, but they both they both transitioned.
- 42:31Speaker 3: But it was a black woman. I can't remember her name,
- 42:33Speaker 3: but it was a black woman who terminated too.
- 42:38Speaker 1: She might be yeah, but anyway, the matrix, Sophia Stewart,
- 42:44Speaker 1: that's her name.
- 42:45Speaker 3: Was it determinated as well. It was another movie.
- 42:47Speaker 1: They had to pay her out to Marquity Bradley because
- 42:50Speaker 1: she let them rack up all that bread.
- 42:54Speaker 3: Yep.
- 42:54Speaker 1: And she was like, oh this is yep, rack up
- 42:57Speaker 1: all that box office. Oh my god, y'all doing good?
- 43:01Speaker 3: Yeah, y'all eat, that's crazy going. Because if you're gonna
- 43:10Speaker 3: see somebody, you gotta let to make all the brad first.
- 43:12Speaker 3: Oh yeah, because do you now, because you don't want
- 43:15Speaker 3: to sue a movie that bombs you got it? Man,
- 43:20Speaker 3: all right, you're up, Tom Man, this is tough. This
- 43:22Speaker 3: is tough. We're gonna have to do part two.
- 43:24Speaker 2: I'm going I'm going back to the future. Back to
- 43:27Speaker 2: the Future is one of my favorite movies.
- 43:29Speaker 3: Man.
- 43:29Speaker 2: It's a perfect blend of comedy, action, adventure, excitement.
- 43:33Speaker 3: I love time travel. Uh.
- 43:35Speaker 2: The characters are just amazing. Marty and Doc Brown and Biff,
- 43:40Speaker 2: Biff Tom F. Wilson don't get enough credit for his
- 43:45Speaker 2: as Biff, as old Beff and young Beiff, has all
- 43:49Speaker 2: these different Biffs, the Biff that got beat up and
- 43:51Speaker 2: now he's nice again, the mad dog Tanning in the
- 43:56Speaker 2: Old West. He don't get enough treasureform. Yeah, because Fly
- 44:02Speaker 2: Marty was always Marty, Yes, I mean he had to
- 44:05Speaker 2: be like old Marty eventually and like you know, and
- 44:07Speaker 2: then Doc Brown was always just old and young, but
- 44:10Speaker 2: he never felt different like that. But Biff, though, his
- 44:14Speaker 2: transitions was crazy for sure. And Back to the Future
- 44:17Speaker 2: to me, that's when I fell in love with movies.
- 44:20Speaker 2: It was like I remember seeing that the movie theater.
- 44:22Speaker 2: It was like it was a combination of like Ghostbusters
- 44:25Speaker 2: and Back to the Future that made me love movies.
- 44:28Speaker 3: I was just like this, this is it. Yeah with
- 44:31Speaker 3: you back to the Future, I'm gonna go. Men in Black. Yeah,
- 44:35Speaker 3: that's a good one. Men in Black Will Smith fully
- 44:40Speaker 3: in his start up, Will Smith was fantastic. Him opposite
- 44:45Speaker 3: Tommy Lee Jones. Great casting. They got along because Tommy
- 44:49Speaker 3: Lee Jones seems cranky. Yeah he does. Jones.
- 44:54Speaker 1: Oh yeah, he hated in The Batman. Yeah, he hated
- 44:58Speaker 1: work playing too much. He told him, he was like,
- 45:01Speaker 1: I hate you. He told him that of the restaurant,
- 45:07Speaker 1: just curious.
- 45:09Speaker 3: I really I don't like you.
- 45:12Speaker 1: He was so good man and just the premise is goodtastic.
- 45:18Speaker 1: And your boy Vincent dian Frio.
- 45:21Speaker 3: He was great. Your skin's falling off your bones.
- 45:26Speaker 2: He had to play a big roach wearing human skin.
- 45:31Speaker 2: That's what he had to play as an actor. You
- 45:34Speaker 2: are a roach wearing human skin action.
- 45:38Speaker 1: He did so good. I believed it too. Full unbelievability.
- 45:42Speaker 1: The Wicked Cricket music video. I mean the they printed
- 45:47Speaker 1: money when that movie came out.
- 45:48Speaker 3: Yeah. Men in Black days extremely well.
- 45:49Speaker 1: Great band, Cells through the Room, just a great sci
- 45:54Speaker 1: fi movie, fun little action comedy. Will Smith dragging that
- 45:58Speaker 1: egg chair across him, sitting outside while the sun sets
- 46:02Speaker 1: the side him.
- 46:02Speaker 3: He's gonna be erased. Perfect. Michael Jackson was in the
- 46:06Speaker 3: seconecond one Yeah, second one Asian m Yeah. Michael Jackson
- 46:11Speaker 3: was like, I want to be a mini black. They
- 46:12Speaker 3: was like, all right, man, you said you was gonna
- 46:13Speaker 3: get back to me. They could him off.
- 46:15Speaker 1: He was like, nah, man for real, and he said
- 46:17Speaker 1: he wanted to change the name of Zad to something else.
- 46:19Speaker 1: And they're like, all right, Mike, y'all, if you're gonna
- 46:22Speaker 1: be in the movie, you gonna say the stuff. We say, alright.
- 46:28Speaker 2: You're up to I'm gonna go with Gotta go with
- 46:31Speaker 2: Jurassic Park, man. Jurassic Park. That's another movie that caught
- 46:34Speaker 2: me off guard. I thought it was gonna be some buttery,
- 46:36Speaker 2: soft little dino flick where they making friends with the dinosaurs.
- 46:41Speaker 2: Because it was Steven Spielberg. I was like, all right,
- 46:43Speaker 2: it's gonna be sentimental in some way. Went up in
- 46:46Speaker 2: that thing that shit blew me away dug from the.
- 46:49Speaker 3: First t Rex.
- 46:51Speaker 2: When that t rex emerged and then the raptors got
- 46:54Speaker 2: to going, man, I was like, bro I remember I
- 46:56Speaker 2: had a big ass Jurassic jawbreaker, like it.
- 46:59Speaker 3: Was a big you know.
- 47:00Speaker 2: Yeah, they made it look like a dinosaur egg. And
- 47:05Speaker 2: I was just like and then I just put it
- 47:06Speaker 2: back in the little plastic cases.
- 47:10Speaker 3: Mesmerize was eating people special effects at that time.
- 47:14Speaker 2: Yeah. I remember when the raptors were looking for the
- 47:17Speaker 2: kids in the kitchen. In the kitchen they were looking around.
- 47:21Speaker 2: You could see the reflection from the computer on the
- 47:23Speaker 2: raptors neck, like it was all those like cold, yeah, cold,
- 47:27Speaker 2: you could see it on that. I was just like
- 47:30Speaker 2: the raptors were terrified.
- 47:31Speaker 3: Yeah, because I wasn't familiar with rapping.
- 47:34Speaker 1: I was like, okay, t Rex told the movie Raptor
- 47:37Speaker 1: got they they were the tom size more of the
- 47:40Speaker 1: they were because they small, Yes, t Rex, Like, okay.
- 47:43Speaker 3: Getting up in that kitchen. Get they're getting up under
- 47:47Speaker 3: the garage. You know what I'm saying. They coming for you,
- 47:51Speaker 3: Like I can't fit in there. I'm just wait for you.
- 47:55Speaker 3: I was just waiting for y'all. Here, you got to
- 47:57Speaker 3: come out. You got.
- 48:00Speaker 1: The league was that t Rex was screaming in the
- 48:03Speaker 1: Dinosaurs World the world banner just a gradual and.
- 48:07Speaker 3: That jeep man. I used to want that jeep.
- 48:09Speaker 1: Yeah, color Way. I was like, y'all did y'all did
- 48:13Speaker 1: y'all Big one. That whole scene was amazing.
- 48:15Speaker 3: Castle was great.
- 48:16Speaker 1: Jeff Goblin, I loved him in that one. But yeah, man, yeah,
- 48:20Speaker 1: I'm with you. How long you got left? I don't
- 48:22Speaker 1: I don't mess up.
- 48:22Speaker 3: It's a fantastic it's a good job. Man.
- 48:27Speaker 1: Okay, I'm gonna I'm gonna stick with my personal ones
- 48:30Speaker 1: and I wanted to keep it personal.
- 48:31Speaker 3: I'm gonna keep it personal.
- 48:33Speaker 1: Demolition Man, Okay, that was and Simon Phoenix, Sster Stallone, sach.
- 48:40Speaker 2: A book is in that. Yeah, that was before Speed. Yeah,
- 48:44Speaker 2: she doubled up. It was like Demolition Man was ninety three.
- 48:48Speaker 1: Speed was ninety four. Yeah, small little primit, I mean,
- 48:51Speaker 1: small role. I mean it's not a small role, but
- 48:54Speaker 1: it was smaller than Wesleyan for sure. Uh and Sly
- 48:59Speaker 1: was clever little premise of like, you know, we locked
- 49:03Speaker 1: up all the criminals, there's no crime. I remember when
- 49:06Speaker 1: I was a kid in a small part of the
- 49:08Speaker 1: movies before I realized like you could make money with
- 49:11Speaker 1: brands and stuff. And they had a part of that
- 49:14Speaker 1: movie is they had the fast food Wars. There's only
- 49:15Speaker 1: gonna be one fast food in the future, and it
- 49:17Speaker 1: was Taco Bell, and I was like, how the hell.
- 49:19Speaker 2: Did they the fast food war.
- 49:22Speaker 3: I was like, McDonald's would have won that Burger King.
- 49:25Speaker 1: And then when I found out Taco Bell paid to
- 49:28Speaker 1: be the thing, I said, Oh, y'all didn't tell me that,
- 49:31Speaker 1: because I ain't no way.
- 49:32Speaker 3: You beat McDonald's. But anyway, Wesley Snipe is amazing.
- 49:35Speaker 1: I think Dennis Leary was in there too, as the underground. Yeah,
- 49:41Speaker 1: Wesley Snipe was just Benjamin at that time in his life.
- 49:44Speaker 1: He sure was at that time in Wesley's not Wesley
- 49:47Speaker 1: Snipe's life. He could do no wrong. He was crushing
- 49:50Speaker 1: his roles. He just uh fighting in the Three Shells.
- 49:55Speaker 1: How they had the bathroom like.
- 50:00Speaker 3: Works. Ralph Schneider's in there. This sucks man.
- 50:04Speaker 1: Don't remind me of him, but nah, demolish your man
- 50:07Speaker 1: from my personal my personal.
- 50:08Speaker 2: Okay, there's so many good movies. God damn it. Man,
- 50:17Speaker 2: we're leaving stuff out, y'all.
- 50:19Speaker 3: Stuff.
- 50:19Speaker 2: I don't want to hear nothing, but I love everything
- 50:21Speaker 2: y'all saying I see it. We just got to come
- 50:24Speaker 2: with some shit. I'm gonna go with the sci Fi tip.
- 50:31Speaker 2: I'm gonna go the movies that affected me personally. I'm
- 50:34Speaker 2: gonna go with the thing from nineteen eighty two.
- 50:36Speaker 3: Oh nice.
- 50:38Speaker 2: This movie, to me is more horror than any goddamn thing.
- 50:43Speaker 2: But that movie is a perfect horror movie, sci fi horror.
- 50:49Speaker 2: The alien comes in and assimilates you, your dog, your cat,
- 50:55Speaker 2: any living organism. It will assimilate and you'll know who's who,
- 50:59Speaker 2: what's what. That whole dynamic is terrifying, Like when they
- 51:04Speaker 2: first open up and they chasing that little beautiful dog
- 51:07Speaker 2: and you know, they on.
- 51:08Speaker 3: The helicopter shooting at a dog you like, and I
- 51:11Speaker 3: know the Whites hell no, hell noa y'all not gonna
- 51:16Speaker 3: shoot that dog. These casts is like, you don't know
- 51:19Speaker 3: what this dog is.
- 51:20Speaker 2: And the only reason this movie was able to exist
- 51:23Speaker 2: is because they didn't speak English and they didn't speak Norwegian,
- 51:27Speaker 2: so there was a there was a conflict in language.
- 51:30Speaker 2: They ain't know what they were saying. He was like,
- 51:32Speaker 2: get away from that dog, Like what the fuck you mean?
- 51:34Speaker 2: He tried to shoot it. The dog hit one of
- 51:35Speaker 2: the American dudes and then they kill him. The other
- 51:38Speaker 2: dude blew up. They got no way to explain that's
- 51:41Speaker 2: an alien. It's gonna kill everybody.
- 51:44Speaker 3: They let the dog in and that's it in this movie.
- 51:47Speaker 2: The special effects, the practical special effects hold up to
- 51:51Speaker 2: this day.
- 51:52Speaker 3: This movie ruined my life, stuck. I lost sleep for
- 51:57Speaker 3: a full week of this movie.
- 52:00Speaker 2: But it is the perfect horror sci fi movie. To
- 52:04Speaker 2: this day, it holds up amazingly.
- 52:06Speaker 3: Well. I love that.
- 52:08Speaker 1: I'm gonna go Star Wars. The Empire strikes Back. That
- 52:14Speaker 1: is probably my favorite one. My second favorite is Rogue
- 52:19Speaker 1: Rogue one. I just really love Rogue one. But the
- 52:22Speaker 1: Empire strikes Bag is just that's prime Star Wars. I
- 52:27Speaker 1: mean they was in their bag, they was selling toys,
- 52:30Speaker 1: they had the lightsabers going, they had, I mean everything.
- 52:35Speaker 3: Luke the big snow, big giant.
- 52:38Speaker 1: Yeah, he's walking and he just built a whole world
- 52:42Speaker 1: like in his mind rules money, right, I mean, just
- 52:47Speaker 1: the whole thing. And later found out Dune that was
- 52:51Speaker 1: based off Dune apparently, but he just beat them to
- 52:55Speaker 1: the punch. But anyway, Empire strikes.
- 52:58Speaker 3: Back shifts kid man man, can we throw Donald mentioned now?
- 53:06Speaker 3: We ain't saying no, I'm We're saving it for later.
- 53:10Speaker 2: We'll do a part two because this this type of
- 53:12Speaker 2: list needs a part too, because we're leaving off I know.
- 53:16Speaker 1: That's what I'm Saying's why to get Star Wars in there,
- 53:18Speaker 1: because it actually was like I be nerding out on
- 53:22Speaker 1: Star Wars, I'll be nerding out.
- 53:25Speaker 2: I'm gonna go with uh. When I think of sci fi,
- 53:31Speaker 2: I'm gonna go this route on this next one. There
- 53:35Speaker 2: are better movies on this list than this one. I'm
- 53:37Speaker 2: about to say, But when I think of science genre,
- 53:40Speaker 2: when I think of the genre, Blade Runner comes to
- 53:42Speaker 2: my mind quickly for sure. That whole visual is just
- 53:47Speaker 2: pure sigh five. When you think of the whole genre,
- 53:51Speaker 2: this movie comes up first.
- 53:53Speaker 3: I'm with you on that. Yeah, the whole setting, the vibe.
- 53:57Speaker 3: I really felt like.

- 54:01Speaker 2: it just blew your way in terms of mood aesthetic.
- 54:05Speaker 2: The music was amazing. The music is like sci fi,
- 54:08Speaker 2: like yeah, yeah.
- 54:09Speaker 1: Even the font on the poster, everything that's futuristic.
- 54:13Speaker 2: Yes, this is science fiction. Everything just fits the title perfectly.
- 54:22Speaker 2: And like I said, even though there are better movies
- 54:24Speaker 2: in my opinion than Blade Runner, but Blade Runner is
- 54:28Speaker 2: the quintessential sci fi.
- 54:29Speaker 3: Which I do love. By the way. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 54:31Speaker 3: I do love it. But that movie had an effect
- 54:34Speaker 3: on my nine.
- 54:36Speaker 2: Yeah, I like it. You like to do Yeah, so
- 54:38Speaker 2: Blade Runner, no autim minch. All right, for another episode,
- 54:43Speaker 2: put that blind ranking for you. Tony six actresses named
