  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's a it's a snake show.

  SPEAKER_01: Kind of an educational program.

  SPEAKER_01: Me and my friends all put on.

  SPEAKER_01: Uh this is this is like the this is the fifth year we've been doing it.

  SPEAKER_01: Uh out at the St.

  SPEAKER_00: Okay, so I remember last year now you you've got uh a variety of uh poisonous and what it was the proper word, venomous.

  SPEAKER_00: Snakes and non-venomous as well, right?

  SPEAKER_00: So the purpose but purpose of your uh snake show, it's not a it's not a freak show or anything like that.

  SPEAKER_00: This is educational.

  SPEAKER_00: You do this for the kids, so you do this for the public, so they know not to fear snakes like uh a lot of us do, right?

  SPEAKER_01: Yep, yep, exactly.

  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.

  SPEAKER_00: What kind of snakes are you gonna have at the snake show this year?

  SPEAKER_01: Oh we'll have uh we'll have a variety of rattlesnakes.

  SPEAKER_01: We'll have we'll have some tim some timber rattlesnakes, we'll have some some eastern and western dynamic rattlesnakes, uh we'll have uh we'll have copper heads.

  SPEAKER_01: We'll have we'll have a quite a few copper heads.

  SPEAKER_01: Uh and uh I think we'll have we'll have a gaboon viper.

  SPEAKER_01: Some other stuff too in there.

  SPEAKER_01: But and non-venomous we'll have uh we'll have uh we'll have a lot of pyth uh ball pythons and like milk snakes and corn snakes and probably even even some black snakes there to show out to uh show and let the kids handle.

  SPEAKER_00: So uh I remember last year you had uh did you have a a hawk show or a falcon show along with that?

  SPEAKER_01: Oh oh yeah, the uh two of my friends that are uh licensed falconers, they'll they'll also be there too with their birds.

  SPEAKER_00: What could go wrong?

  SPEAKER_00: What could go wrong when you got falcons and snakes all in the same area?

  SPEAKER_01: Well, we kind of we kind of keep them separated.

  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's a good idea.

  SPEAKER_01: We kind of keep the birds out out in the outside area.

  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.

  SPEAKER_00: Well, tell me about you know, do you handle all these all these snakes yourself?

  SPEAKER_00: You got any partners that are will be working with you that day too, or just you by yourself, Alan?

  SPEAKER_01: Oh no, no, there'll be a bunch of us.

  SPEAKER_01: There'll be uh there'll be myself, there'll be uh my friend Stacy Foster, uh my butt my friend Brad Tarnaski, uh Russ Gleitzner, Tim Connell, uh Tiana Johnson, and uh and uh Tara Haynes, and uh probably probably some other people there too.

  SPEAKER_00: So do you do you do this for a living, Alan?

  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.

  SPEAKER_01: I actually I yeah, I'm uh I'm a certified uh timber rattlesnake construction monitor.

  SPEAKER_01: And I actually uh I just I've I've only been home for about three weeks.

  SPEAKER_01: I was in uh they flew me all the way out to California for two and a half months.

  SPEAKER_01: I was on a windmill farm out there moving uh moving rattlesnakes out of the way out there.

  SPEAKER_00: Relocating them, yeah.

  SPEAKER_01: Yep, I I moved over 127 rattlesnakes.

  SPEAKER_00: Wow, I bet I bet they were glad to see you.

  SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah.

  SPEAKER_00: Well this is open for all ages, right?

  SPEAKER_00: The snake show, and it's happening at the are you having at the same location fraternal order of the Eagles in St.

  SPEAKER_00: So we the kids kids are more than what this is actually, you're hoping the kids will show, right?

  SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.

  SPEAKER_01: But it's yeah, but it's for it's for all ages.

  SPEAKER_01: Anybody can come.

  SPEAKER_01: It's open to the public that day.

  SPEAKER_00: So that's coming up this Sunday, and uh what time does the snake show gonna start?

  SPEAKER_01: Uh it's gonna it's gonna start around noon.

  SPEAKER_01: Okay till about four o'clock.

  SPEAKER_00: Hey, that's a pretty long show.

  SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah.

  SPEAKER_00: And and uh, you know, your your your audience uh will be able to, you know, maybe handle a few snakes.

  SPEAKER_01: We the venomous ones, I mean, we can get the venomous ones, we get them in these clear plastic tubes.

  SPEAKER_01: And uh and so the b the head when they're up in uh in these tubes, the heads heads confined up there.

  SPEAKER_01: And uh you can actually you'll you can actually touch a venomous snake if you want to.

  SPEAKER_00: So when you do these when you do these snake shows, what do you hope everybody leaves with?

  SPEAKER_00: What what do you hope uh you know they walk away with after the show?

  SPEAKER_01: Well, just kinda like just kind of like a little maybe a little bit less fear and a little more understanding for them, you know.

  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, just yeah.

  SPEAKER_01: How long uh to see that they're not as scared, you know, uh monsters that people think they are, you know.

  SPEAKER_00: Right, yeah.

  SPEAKER_00: Maybe not not kill every darn snake that you see, you know.

  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, oh yeah, exactly.

  SPEAKER_01: Oh, I've done this since I was since I can remember.

  SPEAKER_00: I figured that.

  SPEAKER_00: You're a different kind of breed, Alan.

  SPEAKER_00: Well that's that's fantastic.

  SPEAKER_00: So i a fraternal order of the Eagles.

  SPEAKER_00: So you say this is like the fifth annual snake show coming to St.

  SPEAKER_00: And uh you're gonna set up a you've got a Facebook page, you're gonna set up two, right?
