- 1:51Speaker 2: Now.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Beatrice is somewhat interested in the Bravo show The Valley
- 1:55Speaker 1: but the Shaws of Sunset edition, whereas I am way
- 2:00Speaker 1: more interested in covering on Patreon Little Women in La.
- 2:05Speaker 1: I'm down for that because it came to my attention, bitch,
- 2:09Speaker 1: that you had never watched even one episode of those
- 2:12Speaker 1: crazy little people with it.
- 2:13Speaker 2: I've only seen the memes.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Oh, oh my gosh. I watched Little Women in La.
- 2:18Speaker 1: I watched Little Women New York, Little Women Atlanta, Little
- 2:22Speaker 1: Women Dallas. I watched all the Little Women and I
- 2:25Speaker 1: loved it. It's so chaotic, girl, it is so draw malicious.
- 2:28Speaker 1: It I'm into a peak reality TV from like twenty thirteen,
- 2:31Speaker 1: twenty fourteen. Oh I love it, So I'm kind of

- 2:56Speaker 1: But like, it sounds good, Yeah, it does sound good,
- 2:58Speaker 1: and so thank you in advance. Now, I also want
- 3:03Speaker 1: to mention that after we finish wrapping up this recap,
- 3:06Speaker 1: we're going to go right into an after show because
- 3:10Speaker 1: there are a few items of gossip, yeah, about both
- 3:14Speaker 1: the Sister Wives and those Plath Build kids hood, those
- 3:18Speaker 1: crazy black kids, and we want to get into that goss.
- 3:21Speaker 1: And so if you want to be a part of
- 3:23Speaker 1: the after show again, all you have to do is
- 3:25Speaker 1: join us on Patreon. It's only five dollars a month,
- 3:28Speaker 1: and it really is the best way to support us.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Thank good. Okay, before we get into the recap, I
- 3:35Speaker 1: just have to ask you, honey, did you have any
- 3:38Speaker 1: major takeaways after this episode.
- 3:41Speaker 2: I'm just noticing Cody's language that he's using across like
- 3:45Speaker 2: sister wives and special Forces. He keeps referencing to Robin
- 3:50Speaker 2: as like his queen. He's called himself the king of
- 3:55Speaker 2: his castle. He mentioned in this episode that they're going
- 3:58Speaker 2: to like live their best life in their castle, their
- 4:01Speaker 2: new mcmanson. And I'm just like, yo, dude, I know
- 4:06Speaker 2: you're in the commons, Like I know you're seeing what
- 4:08Speaker 2: people are saying about you, and you're just like sticking
- 4:11Speaker 2: to this narrative like you think you've won the game.
- 4:14Speaker 2: I don't know. I just I find it concerning.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Yeah, I think for him, this is the pinnacle of
- 4:22Speaker 1: his life. It's like everything he ever wanted to accomplish
- 4:26Speaker 1: and achieve, Like the world is his oyster. And then
- 4:28Speaker 1: you go into that house and it is mcmanson circa
- 4:31Speaker 1: nineteen ninety sixty. No, but like, if he likes it,
- 4:35Speaker 1: that's fantastic. I'm just sick of it. I'm tired of
- 4:38Speaker 1: it evil people winning. Yeah, when are the good people
- 4:41Speaker 1: gonna rise up and take it all back? I mean,
- 4:44Speaker 1: don't let me get carried away. Now. I have a
- 4:47Speaker 1: takeaway too, And my takeaway is that I'm sick. I
- 4:52Speaker 1: am sick of seeing these fools kissing and girl licking
- 4:57Speaker 1: forks and ribbon all up one each other and talking
- 5:01Speaker 1: about their six lives. I want to say, it's almost
- 5:06Speaker 1: every single episode some inappropriate display a physical touching that
- 5:13Speaker 1: repulses me straight down to my butt hoodie. I can't
- 5:17Speaker 1: stand it. Plus I've got the misophonia. Yeah, I don't
- 5:20Speaker 1: like to hear mouth noises. And now I've got you
- 5:23Speaker 1: kissing Cody's gelatinous.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Lips in the microphone.
- 5:27Speaker 1: I can't do it. I can't disgust it. But they're gross.
- 5:30Speaker 2: They are disgusting.
- 5:32Speaker 1: That's all I have to say about that. Based So,
- 5:35Speaker 1: without further redo, let's get into our recap of Sister
- 5:39Speaker 1: Wives Season twenty, episode eight, entitled making Out Like Teenagers.
- 5:47Speaker 1: It's exactly what I'm talking about. Yes, I can't take it.
- 5:50Speaker 2: It's so gross. The first ten minutes of this episode
- 5:53Speaker 2: really is just.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Did we need it? Cody and Robin did anybody want it?
- 5:59Speaker 2: In their McMahon and talking about kissing each other, and
- 6:03Speaker 2: Robin is apparently disgusted by Cody's mustache.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Well it hurts her. I guess every time I want
- 6:10Speaker 1: to kiss you, it pokes into me and it's painful.
- 6:14Speaker 2: I need it, And Cody's like, oh, well, should I
- 6:17Speaker 2: shave it? My sweet queen, my love muffin. I will
- 6:20Speaker 2: go into the bathroom right now and shave it so
- 6:22Speaker 2: we can make out like teenagers. Oh, it's the title
- 6:25Speaker 2: of the episode.
- 6:26Speaker 1: And she says, well, if you do, you'll get more
- 6:28Speaker 1: kisses from me, and he seems really motivated by that,
- 6:32Speaker 1: so immediately he goes into the bathroom and begins to
- 6:35Speaker 1: shave his scraggly ass the beard. But you know what
- 6:38Speaker 1: I thought, hmm, when I was watching that, I thought
- 6:41Speaker 1: what the camera's initially caught was Robin being organically repulsed
- 6:48Speaker 1: by Cody when Cody leaned in to kiss her. Like,
- 6:50Speaker 1: I think we saw a little bit of that too
- 6:53Speaker 1: when they were packing up the McMansion number one, Yeah,
- 6:55Speaker 1: and he was trying to flirt with her and she
- 6:57Speaker 1: was like, ew, leave me alone. Yeah, I think the
- 6:59Speaker 1: cameras caught it again where she like literally recoils at
- 7:02Speaker 1: his physical touch. She realizes the cameras caught it, and
- 7:06Speaker 1: now she's like, oh, let me make a little excuse.
- 7:09Speaker 1: It's because of that beard that you've had for literal years.
- 7:13Speaker 2: The entire time.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, and just a few episodes ago, I
- 7:16Speaker 1: was talking about how our sex life is great, it's
- 7:18Speaker 1: not going to change, so it's presumably not bothered you before,
- 7:22Speaker 1: but now all of a sudden, it's so painful. Took
- 7:25Speaker 1: us too. Holder So they go into the bathroom and
- 7:30Speaker 1: he starts promptly admiring himself and his jawline and shaving
- 7:34Speaker 1: his mustache off, and then they kiss. But I only
- 7:38Speaker 1: think she's doing it because she realizes we have eyes. Yeah,
- 7:42Speaker 1: and we caught that. That would make sense, And it
- 7:45Speaker 1: would also make sense because she keeps saying the same
- 7:47Speaker 1: thing over and over again, where she's like, you know,
- 7:49Speaker 1: for years, I had to hide my physical affection from Cody.
- 7:53Speaker 1: I couldn't kiss him, I couldn't be intimate with him
- 7:56Speaker 1: because of those other witches, I mean, other wives that
- 7:59Speaker 1: were watching. And now that we don't have them anymore,
- 8:03Speaker 1: I can be open, and now we flirt a lot
- 8:05Speaker 1: and we can be affectionate. So it would makes sense
- 8:09Speaker 1: if she's actually physically repulsed by him, and she's just
- 8:13Speaker 1: the unlucky wife that he's the most attracted to. I
- 8:17Speaker 1: don't know who I was following what I was listening to,
- 8:20Speaker 1: but like somewhere in the Sister Wife zeitgeist, someone was
- 8:24Speaker 1: talking about how on Special Forces Cody had absolutely no
- 8:29Speaker 1: social awareness. Like he would walk into a room and
- 8:33Speaker 1: a couple of people would be deep into conversation, and
- 8:36Speaker 1: he would literally walk right up to them and just
- 8:38Speaker 1: start talking, yeah, and just start making it about himself
- 8:40Speaker 1: and like whatever's on his mind, completely interrupt hijack the
- 8:44Speaker 1: conversation and take it over. And so when you zoom
- 8:48Speaker 1: out and you place him in a marriage with that
- 8:50Speaker 1: kind of personality, and he no longer has all of
- 8:54Speaker 1: these other people, all of these other kids and wives
- 8:57Speaker 1: that he can like do that too, and now it's
- 8:59Speaker 1: only Robin. Yeah, Robin and her. I think she's sick
- 9:02Speaker 1: of him, I hope so. I think she can't take it.
- 9:05Speaker 2: I fucking hope so, because then maybe there's a little
- 9:08Speaker 2: bit of a soul left in her, because otherwise I'm like,
- 9:11Speaker 2: if you're actually in love with this man, like, how
- 9:13Speaker 2: could you? How could you be so awful?
- 9:16Speaker 1: Can't you just see her in the basement assembling her
- 9:19Speaker 1: deckenziean village, crying. She's got her doll so for there
- 9:22Speaker 1: on this side, and she's prepared all the clothes, and
- 9:24Speaker 1: she's about to get to them, and she's just enconced
- 9:28Speaker 1: in her work. That's her work, and here comes Cody's
- 9:32Speaker 1: dumb ass walking into the room. Well, hey, I was
- 9:35Speaker 1: just leggered about.
- 9:37Speaker 2: You.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Now, Robin's got to take care of this child of
- 9:41Speaker 1: a man. It must drive her crazy. It would drive
- 9:43Speaker 1: me crazy.
- 9:43Speaker 2: I could see that. Yeah, unless she's the same as Cody.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Unless they're just perfect I think she is, I don't know.
- 9:50Speaker 2: Janelle kind of alludes to it later in the episode,
- 9:52Speaker 2: so she does. She says they're both pretty yoke so
- 9:55Speaker 2: are right. I don't know. I could see it. But
- 9:57Speaker 2: after they shave his beard and Cody myers how hot
- 10:00Speaker 2: he looks and his nice jawline from all of his
- 10:03Speaker 2: workouts and he's doing for Special Forces, then him and
- 10:07Speaker 2: Robin continue to make out with each other, and then
- 10:11Speaker 2: we pan on over to some other scenes. But later
- 10:14Speaker 2: we see them. We see Robin actually organizing her bum
- 10:18Speaker 2: ass pantry, and she wants to show us how rich
- 10:21Speaker 2: they are with all of their rich fancy people snacks
- 10:24Speaker 2: and their messy ass pantry.
- 10:26Speaker 1: It's messy if you're going to show off you're a
- 10:29Speaker 1: pantry to national television, international international television in the opulence
- 10:36Speaker 1: of your booty ass home, Like, aren't you going to
- 10:39Speaker 1: organize your shirts the way I would be, meticulously organizing
- 10:43Speaker 1: things alphabetically and by color. Yeah, if you can do that, dusting, lighting,
- 10:47Speaker 1: all of that. Yeah, but no, there's just things shoved
- 10:50Speaker 1: into shelves. This is how they really love.
- 10:53Speaker 2: Oh, for sure, the hoarders. They're hoarders and they have
- 10:56Speaker 2: too much shit.
- 10:56Speaker 1: She's a hoarder w facts. Yeah.
- 11:00Speaker 2: While she organizing her messy ass pantry, we have Cody
- 11:03Speaker 2: bopping on in fullopping his hair around, and he's like, hey,
- 11:07Speaker 2: we got an offer on Coyote Pass full offer. We
- 11:10Speaker 2: got earnest money. It cleared the account, so we're good
- 11:13Speaker 2: to ghost now. All we have to do is meet
- 11:16Speaker 2: Janelle and Mary later on Coyote Pass and sign the
- 11:20Speaker 2: deal over. And I just thought this was kind of
- 11:21Speaker 2: interesting because like they talk about the earnest money and
- 11:25Speaker 2: I'm like, so, did you guys only get their earnest money,
- 11:28Speaker 2: and like you're not splitting it evenly with Mary and Janelle?
- 11:31Speaker 2: Isn't the earnest money for the sellers.
- 11:34Speaker 1: It's like a deposit to hold the home or the land.
- 11:40Speaker 1: But then once it is funded by the mortgage or whatever,
- 11:45Speaker 1: then I believe it is returned. Oh she's okay, buyer
- 11:47Speaker 1: said Niya. They don't have access to it, but like,
- 11:50Speaker 1: here's my thing. Sorry, I haven't been here for two weeks.
- 11:53Speaker 1: That so much shit to say, I know, but every
- 11:57Speaker 1: scene with Robin and Cody is so fucking scripted. It is.
- 12:01Speaker 1: You know that he did not just get the information
- 12:04Speaker 1: about the earnest money. He did not just get the
- 12:06Speaker 1: news about the sale of Coyote Pass. This has all
- 12:09Speaker 1: been pre planned. There's nothing real, authentic gritty about any
- 12:16Speaker 1: of the shit that they're filming, much less Christine and David.
- 12:19Speaker 1: I mean, they're all doing it too, but like this
- 12:20Speaker 1: whole show. Yep, that's why I want to watch Little Women,
- 12:24Speaker 1: La bitch because what I tell you that, Yes, I
- 12:27Speaker 1: mean there's setups for scenes and drama, but that was
- 12:30Speaker 1: real drama. Yeah, those women were getting into it for real. Yeah.
- 12:34Speaker 1: You just don't see that on Sister Wives anymore.
- 12:36Speaker 2: No, reality TV has become so heavily produced, and especially
- 12:40Speaker 2: with Sister Wives, like in these recent seasons, especially with
- 12:44Speaker 2: Cody and Robin, like trying to rehab their image.
- 12:45Speaker 1: It's like so I hate it.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Unbelievably produced. I mean, like you know, what was Robin's
- 12:51Speaker 2: dumb idea to be, like, yeah, film me organizing my
- 12:53Speaker 2: pantry because that's good content. It'll show that I'm a
- 12:56Speaker 2: real human being.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Well, but I mean, I don't know that. All reality
- 13:00Speaker 1: television is so overproduced. Like look at the Real Housewives
- 13:04Speaker 1: of Salt Lake City, which I know you don't watch,
- 13:06Speaker 1: but I bet a lot of you do. They just
- 13:08Speaker 1: like had that team up with below Deck and they
- 13:12Speaker 1: went on a yacht, and obviously that's produced, like the
- 13:15Speaker 1: yachts produced, like the time is produced. But that drama
- 13:20Speaker 1: was absolutely one hundred percent authentic. They got fucking drunk,
- 13:23Speaker 1: they started fighting with each other. There was like a
- 13:26Speaker 1: whole lot of authentic stuff happening. I just don't know
- 13:29Speaker 1: why this is the shit that TLC keeps giving us.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Even with Welcome to Plathfill, they pivoted and changed course,
- 13:37Speaker 1: like it was better this year, yeah than last year.
- 13:40Speaker 1: Last year it was so much more produced. This year
- 13:42Speaker 1: we actually got some real drama, yeah we did, which
- 13:45Speaker 1: makes it more entertaining.
- 13:46Speaker 2: Yeah, it does make it more entertaining. But that's why
- 13:48Speaker 2: I think this season is like the last season we're
- 13:51Speaker 2: going to have of sister wives.
- 13:52Speaker 1: But you said they're filming.
- 13:53Speaker 2: There's a rumor. I hope that that's false, because I
- 13:56Speaker 2: can't imagine what are you filming? Like, what are we
- 13:59Speaker 2: going to be watching?
- 13:59Speaker 1: What are we doing?
- 14:00Speaker 2: What are we gonna be watching? Why do you think
- 14:03Speaker 2: we can or because I don't give a shit about
- 14:05Speaker 2: any scene that Cody and Robin are in.
- 14:07Speaker 1: If the sooner you can get them off my television,
- 14:10Speaker 1: the happier I will be as a human being on
- 14:13Speaker 1: the planet.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Exactly. I don't want to see them at all. And
- 14:16Speaker 2: then after Cody tells Robin about the Coyote Pass offer,
- 14:20Speaker 2: then they order pizza and they sit down at their big,
- 14:23Speaker 2: ugly ass table for a family dinner. And this is
- 14:26Speaker 2: where another scripted scene happens, where they tell their kids
- 14:30Speaker 2: that they got the offer on Coyote Pass. And then
- 14:32Speaker 2: you have Aurora literally parroting the same shit that Robin's
- 14:36Speaker 2: been parrotting all season, being like, well, but it's like
- 14:39Speaker 2: the death of the dream that we all had to
- 14:42Speaker 2: be a united family, right, Mom? Is that what I'm
- 14:44Speaker 2: supposed to say? Mom?
- 14:45Speaker 1: Like, exactly, cringe, Exactly, I can't stand it. And she's
- 14:49Speaker 1: also trying to bring in Ariella. Did you hear that all, Rea? Yes,
- 14:53Speaker 1: we can't go to Coyote Pass anymore. And she's like, oh,
- 14:55Speaker 1: is that it okay? Okay?
- 14:56Speaker 2: Can I go play my rooms? No, no one cares
- 14:59Speaker 2: at all. I'm so over it. I hate them so much.
- 15:02Speaker 2: And then you have Cody and Robin talking about like
- 15:05Speaker 2: how they thought they did really well and they thought
- 15:07Speaker 2: that the Vegas homes would re unite them, and they
- 15:10Speaker 2: thought flag Staff would unite them and it didn't work.
- 15:12Speaker 2: And Cody says some bullshit about how they tried really
- 15:15Speaker 2: hard to do really well, and I'm like, dude.
- 15:18Speaker 1: As soon as you got to a flag staff, you
- 15:20Speaker 1: stopped trying all together. In the fact, when you were
- 15:23Speaker 1: in the cul de Sacs around the time of the
- 15:26Speaker 1: legal divorce from Mary and the Catfish, you were completely detached, yeah,
- 15:31Speaker 1: and doing your own thing with Robin. You have not
- 15:32Speaker 1: been trying for over a decade.
- 15:34Speaker 2: I just don't understand why he thinks that we'll believe
- 15:36Speaker 2: him when he says he was trying to do well,
- 15:39Speaker 2: like we saw the footage. Dude, I don't understand you.
- 15:42Speaker 2: And then we bop on over to North Carolina, where
- 15:44Speaker 2: we have Maddie and Caleb, and this is like kind
- 15:47Speaker 2: of boring, but Maddie gives birth to her fourth kid,
- 15:50Speaker 2: Amelia Estelle, so cute. She's very cute. And Estelle is
- 15:57Speaker 2: the I don't know, it means star and it's four
- 16:00Speaker 2: garrison because Amelia was born like ten days after he died,
- 16:05Speaker 2: like the one year anniversary of him dying. So that
- 16:07Speaker 2: was really sweet. And Janelle was there and she's really
- 16:09Speaker 2: happy that she can be involved. And I'm bored, okay,
- 16:13Speaker 2: because there's not that much. There's not that much to
- 16:15Speaker 2: go on.
- 16:16Speaker 1: I was happy at Caleb though, because I was shocked
- 16:19Speaker 1: to learn within the last few weeks that he was
- 16:20Speaker 1: actually sick, that he was actually in kidney hills. Oh yes,
- 16:24Speaker 1: yeah yeah, and that it's not dire. I mean, I
- 16:28Speaker 1: don't know, but it's like it's it's not great.
- 16:31Speaker 2: Yeah, he's like been on dialysis and stuff.
- 16:33Speaker 1: Okay, I thinks he need a kidney transplant.
- 16:36Speaker 2: It has to get bad enough for him to be
- 16:38Speaker 2: on the kidney transplant list, is what from my understanding.
- 16:41Speaker 2: So I don't think he's there yet. I think he's
- 16:43Speaker 2: at like twenty five percent function or something in his
- 16:45Speaker 2: kidneys and he has to be like twenty percent. Oh
- 16:47Speaker 2: my gosh, something like that.
- 16:48Speaker 1: I'm scared for that, I know. Okay, Well, I was
- 16:51Speaker 1: just looking at him and I was wishing him.
- 16:52Speaker 2: Well, yeah, me too. I do wish all of them well, yes,
- 16:55Speaker 2: And I'm really glad that they're like doing their own
- 16:57Speaker 2: thing out there.
- 16:58Speaker 1: And they're together.
- 16:58Speaker 2: I think that's great. Yeah, and I'm really glad for that.
- 17:01Speaker 2: And then we have Christine and David in Utah, and
- 17:04Speaker 2: Christine's making diaper cakes for various baby showers because they
- 17:08Speaker 2: have a bunch of daughters. I think between her and
- 17:12Speaker 2: David they have a bunch of pregnant daughters or something.
- 17:15Speaker 2: And then this is where we get into a little
- 17:17Speaker 2: bit of a money talk, because apparently Christine spends a
- 17:20Speaker 2: lot of money and she's ordering a lot of shit
- 17:22Speaker 2: off the Amazon and stuff, and David's like, what are
- 17:25Speaker 2: you going to do when, uh, just in a little while,
- 17:28Speaker 2: it's going to be just my income and not your income,
- 17:31Speaker 2: which was kind of interesting because I'm like, doesn't she
- 17:33Speaker 2: have plexus and stuff and her airbnb?
- 17:35Speaker 1: H So what does he mean by just she has
- 17:37Speaker 1: the best selling book? She has a lot of different
- 17:41Speaker 1: streams of income. As far as I know, I thought
- 17:46Speaker 1: that was an interesting conversation. I actually kind of appreciated it.
- 17:49Speaker 1: I did notice on Reddit that a lot of people
- 17:52Speaker 1: were kind of coming for David, like, why is he
- 17:53Speaker 1: talking about her finances? Oh, why is he bringing it up?
- 17:57Speaker 1: Why is he being so critical? Like some people are
- 18:00Speaker 1: saying that over the last few episodes, just like what
- 18:02Speaker 1: he said about paid in and quoting and some of
- 18:05Speaker 1: the comments that he's been making have seemed a bit judgy,
- 18:09Speaker 1: and so they were thinking this was kind of judgy.
- 18:11Speaker 1: I took it as just a scripted, pre planned, a
- 18:15Speaker 1: conversation that would happen in any kind of relationship, Like sure, hey,
- 18:19Speaker 1: you're spending a lot of money and you're being a consumer,
- 18:23Speaker 1: and you might want to chill out because you know,
- 18:25Speaker 1: Sister Wives isn't going to last forever. Funny. I'm shocked
- 18:27Speaker 1: it's even on now. I'm shocked. We've got cameras in
- 18:30Speaker 1: the kitchen right now. What's going to happen when this
- 18:33Speaker 1: is no longer a thing. I thought it was also
- 18:35Speaker 1: very curious when they got to the subject of truly
- 18:39Speaker 1: going to college and how Christine very much wants to
- 18:44Speaker 1: do what she can for her kids, but how David
- 18:47Speaker 1: seems to be of another mind about that. I wish
- 18:50Speaker 1: they would have talked that through a bit more. But
- 18:53Speaker 1: do you know what I thought? I'm like, is this
- 18:56Speaker 1: about your child support case? Because are you trying to
- 19:00Speaker 1: get the message out that Truly needs to be supported
- 19:04Speaker 1: for her university because you cannot compel an adult parent
- 19:09Speaker 1: to pay for your college after eighteen Yeah, unless it's
- 19:13Speaker 1: built into a divorce agreement. Correct, or you're in a state.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Sometimes states go up to twenty one years old. But
- 19:20Speaker 1: you can't make somebody do that unless they agree to
- 19:22Speaker 1: do it in the divorce agreement. So I was wondering
- 19:25Speaker 1: if maybe they were kind of talking about this because
- 19:28Speaker 1: they're currently trying to figure out what Cody's going to
- 19:31Speaker 1: have to pay, because in what world wouldn't he have
- 19:33Speaker 1: to contribute? Of course Truly's college education.
- 19:36Speaker 2: I mean, he should be paying child support right now.
- 19:39Speaker 2: I don't know why he isn't.
- 19:40Speaker 1: He's going to He's going to have to pay in arrears.
- 19:42Speaker 2: Yeah, so I don't know. I thought that was interesting
- 19:45Speaker 2: that you make a good point about that, because I
- 19:47Speaker 2: was wondering why she was even bringing up like truly
- 19:49Speaker 2: going to college. She kind of tried to wrap it
- 19:52Speaker 2: up in their conversation about like, oh, well, any kid
- 19:56Speaker 2: that had to go to college, we just took it
- 19:57Speaker 2: out of like the family pot. And then and Christine
- 20:00Speaker 2: goes on to say like, I don't know if David
- 20:03Speaker 2: would be willing to do that, But Christine seemed to say, like,
- 20:06Speaker 2: I'd be willing to go into debt for my kids
- 20:08Speaker 2: so they didn't have to worry for that worry about college,
- 20:11Speaker 2: which I thought was kind of interesting. So I don't know,
- 20:14Speaker 2: I didn't find David critical in this conversation. I found
- 20:17Speaker 2: him critical last week when he was talking about Paydon
- 20:19Speaker 2: because I just didn't understand why we needed to criticize
- 20:23Speaker 2: how Payden talks about movie quotes and stuff like that.
- 20:26Speaker 2: But this week, I thought it was kind of a
- 20:28Speaker 2: benign conversation. So it's interesting to me that people were
- 20:31Speaker 2: critical of David's.
- 20:32Speaker 1: Well, I mean, he's almost sixty, right, yeah, so like
- 20:36Speaker 1: cold and he does the trades. Isn't he like a drywaller?
- 20:39Speaker 1: I know, he owns his own business like construction or something,
- 20:42Speaker 1: probably manages folks, but he maybe gets in there and
- 20:46Speaker 1: does some of that work himself, so like you would
- 20:48Speaker 1: expect if you're in the trades, you're going to be
- 20:50Speaker 1: retiring in your sixties, let's hope. Yeah. And so then
- 20:53Speaker 1: what I mean, I don't know what his nest egg is.
- 20:55Speaker 1: It just feels like he's trying to signal to her like, yeah,
- 20:57Speaker 1: it's great right now, feast and famine. We're in the feast,
- 21:01Speaker 1: but like famine's coming too, Yeah, so be prepared for that.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Are you even thinking along those lines?
- 21:06Speaker 2: Yeah? And I mean props to him, because he does
- 21:09Speaker 2: need to tell Christine like, hey, you know, we do
- 21:11Speaker 2: have to worry about our retirement though, And maybe that's
- 21:13Speaker 2: why they go and get their airbnbs and she sold
- 21:17Speaker 2: her book and stuff, like they're making sure that they
- 21:19Speaker 2: have some kind of passive income going so that way
- 21:22Speaker 2: they don't have to worry about it. But it was
- 21:24Speaker 2: interesting to me that even mentioned like, what are we
- 21:27Speaker 2: gonna do when it's just my income? Meaning Sister Wives
- 21:31Speaker 2: is going to be gone? And I don't know if
- 21:32Speaker 2: it'll be gone this season or next season, but I'm
- 21:35Speaker 2: it's gonna be soon.
- 21:36Speaker 1: What do y'all think? Do you guys think we're gonna
- 21:38Speaker 1: continue to have season after season after season, until we're
- 21:41Speaker 1: all until everybody talking from Wiji boards like happening here.
- 21:46Speaker 2: It's gonna have to end soon, I feel.
- 21:47Speaker 1: I was checking those writings again and they're holding steady serious.
- 21:51Speaker 1: It's still like almost a million people every week watching
- 21:55Speaker 1: this absolutely contrived.
- 21:56Speaker 2: Then they're gonna keep it on.
- 21:58Speaker 1: Why wouldn't they?
- 21:59Speaker 2: I mean, we're still watching it, so yes.
- 22:01Speaker 1: But that's our job. It is our And I was
- 22:02Speaker 1: asking myself as I was watching this, like would I
- 22:05Speaker 1: be watching if we weren't recapping it for our friends,
- 22:08Speaker 1: And the answer is no, No, The answer is absolutely no.
- 22:11Speaker 1: I would be reading my smutty.
- 22:12Speaker 2: Books straight up. I mean, especially if Cody and Robin
- 22:15Speaker 2: are going to be on every episode in this kind
- 22:17Speaker 2: of capacity. Yeah, Like I would rather watch it with
- 22:21Speaker 2: the ogives and they're boring stuff that they got going on, Like,
- 22:24Speaker 2: and I don't mean to be critical when I say that,
- 22:27Speaker 2: it's just they don't have a lot of drama going
- 22:28Speaker 2: on in their lives, so it doesn't really make for
- 22:30Speaker 2: compelling TV. And that's a good thing because you don't
- 22:33Speaker 2: want to have it be all dramatic and toxic in
- 22:35Speaker 2: these personal lives and stuff.
- 22:36Speaker 1: But like I would rather watch, but I want it
- 22:38Speaker 1: to be dramatic and toxic straight up. And if it's
- 22:39Speaker 1: not going to be dramatic and toxically, why am I
- 22:41Speaker 1: here exactly?
- 22:43Speaker 2: And then we bop on over to Mary in Parowan.
- 22:47Speaker 2: She's renovating that haunted B and B Bitch and apparently
- 22:51Speaker 2: she's got a roommate now.
- 22:53Speaker 1: A lisbian liver.
- 22:56Speaker 2: Come on, I was thinking.
- 22:57Speaker 1: Of course you were thinking, which you're always thinking, and
- 23:00Speaker 1: that's what you're hoping for.
- 23:02Speaker 2: That's the lesbian stereotype.
- 23:03Speaker 1: Yes, they're room made. I was just exciting that we're
- 23:07Speaker 1: getting and I was just excited that we were getting
- 23:10Speaker 1: a renovation arc. Oh yeah, because you and I have
- 23:13Speaker 1: been talking about that, about the law forever and how
- 23:16Speaker 1: wonderful that's going to be, And like what is Mary
- 23:18Speaker 1: going to do? What are her actual design sensibilities? Like
- 23:21Speaker 1: I'm actually interested to see what she does with that
- 23:24Speaker 1: old haunted building.
- 23:25Speaker 2: Me too. I hope she makes it better. Yeah, But
- 23:28Speaker 2: Mary's got her friend Amber who's living in her bedroom,
- 23:31Speaker 2: in her bed allegedly in my fantasy, and they talk
- 23:37Speaker 2: about Coyote Pass, they talk about the offer. Apparently Mary
- 23:42Speaker 2: found out through the real estate agent. Because she made
- 23:45Speaker 2: sure to be in contact with the real estate agent
- 23:47Speaker 2: because Cody's not telling her shit.
- 23:48Speaker 1: Well, because she passed everything on to her lawyer, so
- 23:52Speaker 1: she's probably not supposed to be speaking to him.
- 23:54Speaker 2: Probably not. But we get into some interesting conversations here.
- 23:58Speaker 2: We talk about Coyote Pass. We also talk about Mary's
- 24:01Speaker 2: relationship with Robin, which is kind of interesting. Apparently, the
- 24:04Speaker 2: last interaction that Mary had with Robin wasn't so great
- 24:09Speaker 2: because it was concerning how to divide the plots of
- 24:12Speaker 2: land evenly, and according to Mary, Mary says Robin didn't
- 24:17Speaker 2: like that she was standing up for herself, and now
- 24:22Speaker 2: they just don't really talk. And also, according to Mary,
- 24:25Speaker 2: there's not a lot of trust there, and in order
- 24:27Speaker 2: for them to be friends again, they have to have
- 24:30Speaker 2: a lot of hard conversations and Robin needs to be
- 24:32Speaker 2: trustworthy and she ain't.
- 24:34Speaker 1: So here is a subject in which she's sort of
- 24:38Speaker 1: very superficially dancing around what happened, and I was trying
- 24:42Speaker 1: to suss out with my intuition what could have taken place.
- 24:46Speaker 1: It sounds like Robin was offended that Mary was asking
- 24:50Speaker 1: for her twenty five percent, that Robin had a pre
- 24:53Speaker 1: existing idea that it was going to be sectioned out
- 24:57Speaker 1: in a different way, which I just I can't believe
- 25:01Speaker 1: that Robin would even voice that to Mary. I can't
- 25:07Speaker 1: believe that she would be upset. We all saw Mary
- 25:10Speaker 1: go over to their house and cut that last check,
- 25:13Speaker 1: that big chunk for Coyote Pass. They took her money,
- 25:16Speaker 1: and they took I think a deposit before that as well.
- 25:19Speaker 1: And so what is she expecting, Like she put in
- 25:22Speaker 1: her twenty five percent, but she's not supposed to get
- 25:24Speaker 1: it back.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Yeah, Like I can't believe that. I don't believe it either,
- 25:29Speaker 2: And like Robin, we have this scene that pans over
- 25:32Speaker 2: to Robin being like, yeah, you know, in that conversation
- 25:35Speaker 2: with Mary, like I always had her best intentions at heart.
- 25:39Speaker 2: I was just trying, you know, clarify like what exactly
- 25:42Speaker 2: she wanted. But like I always had her best intentions, and.
- 25:46Speaker 1: She's such a liar. She just got the dark, demonic
- 25:50Speaker 1: vibrationitione just wafting off of her big block of a body,
- 25:54Speaker 1: and you just know she's prevaricating, oh for sure, just
- 25:57Speaker 1: evil dark energies, so dark that shit is gonna bounce
- 26:01Speaker 1: back on you. Robin, you better be careful out here.
- 26:04Speaker 2: Yep, be careful with your dolls. They'll get all possessed
- 26:06Speaker 2: and kill you or something. And then Mary also talks
- 26:10Speaker 2: about how she had a bunch of rough conversations with Cody.
- 26:14Speaker 2: The last one was the last straw, because apparently he
- 26:18Speaker 2: came after her lesbian lover Jin, and she did not
- 26:20Speaker 2: like that. You don't come after my girlfriend Jin. And
- 26:24Speaker 2: so after that, her and Cody just don't really talk.
- 26:27Speaker 2: And then I guess, according to Mary, like there was
- 26:30Speaker 2: no communication from Cody whatsoever with the whole Coyote Past
- 26:34Speaker 2: situation for like almost a year, and then all of
- 26:37Speaker 2: a sudden, he's like gung ho about dividing up the land,
- 26:40Speaker 2: and all of a sudden they have an offer and
- 26:42Speaker 2: they're ready to sell. But like she hadn't heard anything
- 26:45Speaker 2: for like over a year. She was going back and
- 26:47Speaker 2: forth between lawyers and everything. So just goes to show
- 26:50Speaker 2: like all of the bullshit that we hear from Cody
- 26:52Speaker 2: being like no, like I was doing all the work,
- 26:54Speaker 2: I was like really trying to communicate. And his little
- 26:57Speaker 2: skype call that he had with them just a couple
- 26:59Speaker 2: of weeks ago where he trying to act all friendly
- 27:01Speaker 2: like it's all just a bunch of bullshit. It's a facade.
- 27:04Speaker 1: The reason that he wanted to expedite it at the
- 27:08Speaker 1: end was because he needed that influx of money in
- 27:11Speaker 1: order to buy mcmanchin number two exactly. So that's the
- 27:14Speaker 1: only reason he moved as fast as he did.
- 27:16Speaker 2: It's only to benefit him always, of course. And with
- 27:19Speaker 2: regards to Jen, because Mary was pissed off that Cody
- 27:23Speaker 2: was critical of Jen, we have a scene with Cody
- 27:26Speaker 2: where he talks about Jen being his arch nemesis because she,
- 27:30Speaker 2: he believes, encouraged Mary to leave him. And apparently he
- 27:35Speaker 2: also said that Jen told Janelle while they were living
- 27:40Speaker 2: in Vegas that she should just empty all the bank
- 27:42Speaker 2: accounts and just run and take all their money and
- 27:45Speaker 2: leave them, which I thought was kind of interesting. I
- 27:47Speaker 2: don't know if I believe it, but I'm just like.
- 27:49Speaker 1: If Jen said that she was joking, yeah, because if
- 27:52Speaker 1: Jen really wanted Mary to do that, she would not
- 27:54Speaker 1: tell Janelle that. Yeah, I'm sure she was laughing about that.
- 27:58Speaker 1: And why wouldn't a real friend and try to convince
- 28:01Speaker 1: their friend to get out of a toxic situation where
- 28:05Speaker 1: she was being neglected, exact or abused of course.
- 28:09Speaker 2: Well, and it's just so stupid because Cody's saying this
- 28:11Speaker 2: as if he didn't want Mary to leave.
- 28:14Speaker 1: Back then, he wanted her to leave me back then.
- 28:17Speaker 1: He didn't want her at all.
- 28:18Speaker 2: He didn't want her from the second the catfish happened,
- 28:21Speaker 2: I mean after that, before that was done for sure.
- 28:24Speaker 2: They weren't having sex before that, of course, but like
- 28:26Speaker 2: once that happened, like he was done with her for
- 28:28Speaker 2: so long. So it's just funny to me that he
- 28:30Speaker 2: acts like jen it was this horrible, evil person.
- 28:33Speaker 1: Who had some kind of influence on his marriage. No,
- 28:35Speaker 1: you checked out, That's what happened exactly.
- 28:38Speaker 2: And then we bop on over to Janelle, who's in Flagstaff.
- 28:41Speaker 2: She's going to lunch with some of her friends, which
- 28:44Speaker 2: apparently like one of them passed away, which I didn't
- 28:47Speaker 2: realize until the very end of the episode. They had
- 28:49Speaker 2: like a little memoriam or whatever, and.
- 28:51Speaker 1: They saw on Reddit that Ange Angela, her husband, posted
- 28:57Speaker 1: on Facebook that she had passed away. And I won't
- 29:02Speaker 1: say what it was related to, but like it's very unfortunate,
- 29:04Speaker 1: that's really sad.
- 29:06Speaker 2: But Janelle goes and has coffee with them, and this
- 29:08Speaker 2: is where she talks a little bit about Coyote Pass.
- 29:11Speaker 2: They also talk about dating. I don't know why everyone's
- 29:14Speaker 2: got a pressure Janelle into dating.
- 29:16Speaker 1: Well, there's nothing else to talk about. I guess they're
- 29:18Speaker 1: literally just trying to create content and that's the only
- 29:20Speaker 1: thing that she has to talk about, I guess, but
- 29:22Speaker 1: we have to hear.
- 29:23Speaker 2: It every episode. Like Janelle's not interested. She just wants
- 29:26Speaker 2: to live in North Carolina, have her flower farm and
- 29:30Speaker 2: probably read her smutty novels alone, Like she doesn't want
- 29:33Speaker 2: to deal with it. But they're like joking around with
- 29:35Speaker 2: her about getting a tender and farmers only. And then
- 29:39Speaker 2: Janelle makes another comment saying, well, if I was to
- 29:42Speaker 2: be interested in a man, I would want him to
- 29:44Speaker 2: be the complete and total opposite of Codine, not high
- 29:47Speaker 2: maintenance and not a drama queen, a real man essentially.
- 29:52Speaker 1: And I want that for her.
- 29:53Speaker 2: Yeah, And then this is where Janelle makes that comment
- 29:55Speaker 2: about Cody and Robin, because I think I want to
- 29:58Speaker 2: say it was Angela or the They're one that said,
- 30:01Speaker 2: you know, Robin must be so blind to Cody and
- 30:04Speaker 2: his behavior and his narcissism, and Janelle's like, no, they're
- 30:08Speaker 2: equally oaked. Like they're two peas in a pod, which
- 30:11Speaker 2: I thought was interesting because we've debated this before. I
- 30:14Speaker 2: know other recappers have debated it and have wondered if
- 30:18Speaker 2: Robin is just the same as Cody or if she's
- 30:22Speaker 2: got a soul in there. But according to Janelle and
- 30:25Speaker 2: also Maddie, Maddie's said this on her Instagram stories a
- 30:29Speaker 2: couple weeks ago, that they're the same.
- 30:31Speaker 1: And I'm not sure. I don't remember who actually said
- 30:34Speaker 1: something like with Robin, sometimes you have to give power
- 30:37Speaker 1: away in order to get power. Was that Janelle?
- 30:39Speaker 2: I think that was Janelle.
- 30:40Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, so I think that's Janelle saying she has
- 30:42Speaker 1: to play the victim. She has to let Cody do
- 30:45Speaker 1: what he needs to do in order to gain access
- 30:48Speaker 1: to the LLC, all the funds, and get all the
- 30:50Speaker 1: riches from this family big yi allegedly.
- 30:54Speaker 2: What a demon. And then we go back to Cody
- 30:57Speaker 2: and Robin and they're big McMansion.
- 31:00Speaker 1: Are we at their wrestling mats?
- 31:01Speaker 2: Yes, I don't care. Yes, he's cleaning his wrestling mats.
- 31:04Speaker 2: And we have to be reminded that Cody peaked in
- 31:06Speaker 2: high school and he liked to wrestle guys because he's gay.
- 31:09Speaker 1: Well, he'd like to tea bad guys.
- 31:11Speaker 2: Yes, exactly exact.
- 31:13Speaker 1: See my dick, see my balls just running your face baby,
- 31:17Speaker 1: exactly suck. Yeah, they're right now.
- 31:21Speaker 2: But Cody's cleaning his nasty ass wrestling mats and Robin
- 31:25Speaker 2: comes out there and pretends to be outraged about it,
- 31:27Speaker 2: and then this prompts a conversation again about Coyote Pass,
- 31:30Speaker 2: which is really the highlight of this whole episode. Is
- 31:33Speaker 2: this like deal that they got and everything. This is
- 31:36Speaker 2: where we get into the juicy stuff where we talk
- 31:39Speaker 2: about the secret backdoor deal that Cody allegedly made with
- 31:44Speaker 2: or tried to make with Janelle, and the NDA that
- 31:48Speaker 2: he tried to get married to sign. So what were
- 31:50Speaker 2: your thoughts about all that?
- 31:51Speaker 1: I was honestly very confused, because I know online this
- 31:58Speaker 1: sentiment was that Janelle ain't shit because she was going
- 32:03Speaker 1: behind Mary's back to sort of broke her this deal
- 32:06Speaker 1: with Cody because she wanted to move things along. But like,
- 32:09Speaker 1: I didn't really get that sense necessarily because they're all
- 32:12Speaker 1: just being so tight lipped. Yeah, I think, in my opinion,
- 32:17Speaker 1: what probably happened was Janelle was getting sick of all
- 32:21Speaker 1: this shit and She had made several attempts to try
- 32:25Speaker 1: and pull Mary in to like align with her, get
- 32:29Speaker 1: a lawyer. Like, remember she was back in Flagstaff when
- 32:32Speaker 1: Janelle went to visit her and said, Hey, you might
- 32:34Speaker 1: want to be paying attention to what's going on with
- 32:37Speaker 1: Coyote Pass, and Mary didn't believe her. Mary took that
- 32:40Speaker 1: back like a bone to Cody and Robin. Mary still
- 32:42Speaker 1: aligned herself with those two. So it could be that
- 32:46Speaker 1: Janelle just got to the point where she's just like,
- 32:48Speaker 1: I'm sick of this shit. I'm trying to help you,
- 32:51Speaker 1: you're not doing anything. I need this deal to get
- 32:53Speaker 1: done so I can build my own home in North Carolina.
- 32:57Speaker 1: And so she's having these talks with Cody. I don't
- 33:01Speaker 1: know that she struck a deal. I don't know that
- 33:03Speaker 1: she tried to strike a deal. I don't know that
- 33:05Speaker 1: after he said something like that, like I could just
- 33:07Speaker 1: do it and sell it out from under both of
- 33:09Speaker 1: you or whatever. I don't know that she didn't go
- 33:11Speaker 1: back and tell Mary that. I do know when they
- 33:14Speaker 1: finally get to Coyote Pass, they seem to be on
- 33:17Speaker 1: good terms.
- 33:18Speaker 2: Yeah, they seem to have actually struck something that was
- 33:20Speaker 2: all cordial and equal.
- 33:22Speaker 1: See.
- 33:23Speaker 2: The way that I took it was that Janelle was
- 33:25Speaker 2: just saying, yeah, like legally you could sell it from
- 33:29Speaker 2: underneath this, but that's not necessarily the right thing to do.
- 33:32Speaker 2: Like she don't say that though, she didn't say that, no,
- 33:35Speaker 2: but I think she was saying that as like a
- 33:37Speaker 2: stern like, well, yeah, Cody, I guess you could do that,
- 33:41Speaker 2: and just like leaving it like that. I didn't take
- 33:43Speaker 2: that as yeah, Cody, you should do that. I didn't
- 33:47Speaker 2: take that as her agreeing to a backdoor deal.
- 33:50Speaker 1: No.
- 33:51Speaker 2: I think Cody thought it would have been a backdoor deal,
- 33:53Speaker 2: but she was not into it.
- 33:55Speaker 1: I think she was being purposefully vague where she could
- 33:59Speaker 1: have said he could do that. I would never do that.
- 34:02Speaker 1: I would have told Mary that, like she could have
- 34:04Speaker 1: said something along those lines for sure. But then maybe
- 34:07Speaker 1: she signed an NDA. Maybe she did in order to
- 34:09Speaker 1: get this whole deal done because she was very incentivized
- 34:12Speaker 1: to sell Coyote Pass.
- 34:13Speaker 2: Maybe she fucking did.
- 34:15Speaker 1: Why are you so tight lipped?
- 34:17Speaker 2: I mean, that would make sense. Actually, maybe she did
- 34:20Speaker 2: sign an NDA, because then we hear from Mary that
- 34:22Speaker 2: the reason why things were taking a while and everything
- 34:25Speaker 2: was because Cody wanted her to sign a disclosure agreement
- 34:29Speaker 2: and not say anything, a confidential reality agreement, and if
- 34:33Speaker 2: she were to sign it, the producers ask her like,
- 34:35Speaker 2: if Cody was going to sell this property out from
- 34:38Speaker 2: underneath you, would you be able to talk about it
- 34:41Speaker 2: if you had signed this NDA? And Mary says no,
- 34:44Speaker 2: she wouldn't have been able to And then she asks like,
- 34:46Speaker 2: why are you trying to silence me? Like what's going on?
- 34:50Speaker 2: And then she actually gets emotional and tears up because
- 34:54Speaker 2: she's like, I can't believe we even are at this point, Like.
- 34:58Speaker 1: Why Mary Well believe that this man melted down his
- 35:02Speaker 1: wedding ring with you. Yeah, this man he did divorced
- 35:06Speaker 1: you to Mary Robin. This man kept you into that
- 35:09Speaker 1: kept you in that lonely Flagstaff rental. This man neglected
- 35:14Speaker 1: you physically and financially. This man leached you drive. This
- 35:17Speaker 1: man was vindictive and vicious to you on national television.
- 35:21Speaker 2: What do you mean you don't.
- 35:22Speaker 1: Understand why you guys can't be humans about this?
- 35:26Speaker 2: Well? And this is why Jen asked her what was
- 35:28Speaker 2: it last episode of the episode before where she's like,
- 35:30Speaker 2: how many more times are you gonna need to see?
- 35:33Speaker 2: Like proof that Cody's a fucking asshole and he's terrible,
- 35:37Speaker 2: Like when are you gonna get it? And that's where
- 35:41Speaker 2: I could feel her emotion here where she's just like
- 35:44Speaker 2: I can't believe, like we're at this point, like why
- 35:46Speaker 2: are you asking me to sign an NDA? But like
- 35:49Speaker 2: the fact that it had to come to him even
- 35:53Speaker 2: offering an NDA, like after all of this mountain of
- 35:56Speaker 2: evidence that you have against Cody and Robin, of how
- 35:59Speaker 2: terrible people they are, Like that was the thing that like,
- 36:03Speaker 2: did you in was the NDA?
- 36:05Speaker 1: The way the producer asked the question was if you
- 36:09Speaker 1: had signed the initial NDA, would that mean you couldn't
- 36:12Speaker 1: speak about Coyote Pass? And she said yes, which implies
- 36:17Speaker 1: there were subsequent NDAs that she was asked to sign.
- 36:21Speaker 1: The question is did you sign one of these subsequent NDAs?
- 36:26Speaker 2: I didn't even catch.
- 36:27Speaker 1: Let's remember that about the time that Coyote Pass is
- 36:32Speaker 1: under contract and is in the process of selling, Christine
- 36:35Speaker 1: has made it known that she's going to be publishing
- 36:38Speaker 1: a book and Cody and Robin have absolutely no idea
- 36:41Speaker 1: what's going to be in that book. I'm sure they
- 36:43Speaker 1: know what could be in that book, and all the
- 36:45Speaker 1: shit Christine could say, which, by the way, she never
- 36:48Speaker 1: did say yeah, but they're probably worried about it. So
- 36:50Speaker 1: they're trying to make a condition of us splitting these
- 36:54Speaker 1: parcels fairly and giving you your fair share. In exchange
- 36:57Speaker 1: for that, we are going to require you to sign
- 37:00Speaker 1: this NDA, and Janelle's like, yolo, I don't give a shit.
- 37:03Speaker 1: I don't even want to talk about you. I never
- 37:05Speaker 1: want to see you again. I'll sign whatever you put
- 37:07Speaker 1: in front of me, Sir stud Mary who probably was
- 37:10Speaker 1: thinking about writing a book. Maybe she was talking was
- 37:13Speaker 1: it last year, about telling the story of her life,
- 37:16Speaker 1: and she's nobody can silence her. She was making allusions
- 37:20Speaker 1: to writing some kind of book, and so maybe Mary's like,
- 37:25Speaker 1: I'm you can't give me such a broad enda. I
- 37:27Speaker 1: will agree not to talk about coyote paths, or I
- 37:29Speaker 1: will agree to not talk about these specific things. I'll
- 37:32Speaker 1: sign that NDA. See to me, that makes sense, But
- 37:36Speaker 1: the fact that Janelle would have signed any kind of NDA,
- 37:39Speaker 1: I still just like side eyeing you.
- 37:41Speaker 2: Janelle stupid.
- 37:42Speaker 1: I'm side eyeing you because you know what, Let's not
- 37:44Speaker 1: forget you were the accountant, bit, you were the record keeper.
- 37:49Speaker 1: You were the one who filed the taxes, you were
- 37:51Speaker 1: the one who saw the numbers. Because Christine tells us
- 37:53Speaker 1: in this episode that she just asked for what she needed.
- 37:56Speaker 1: She has no idea what anybody else took. Janelle knew
- 37:59Speaker 1: how how much everybody took. In particular, she knew how
- 38:03Speaker 1: much Cody and Robin took. She never sent up a flare.
- 38:06Speaker 1: She never told Mary, she never told Christine. She kept
- 38:09Speaker 1: that secret. That's low down and dirty and shady. It
- 38:12Speaker 1: is so I can see her signing some kind of
- 38:14Speaker 1: fucked up NDA because she doesn't care about what anybody knows.
- 38:18Speaker 1: She doesn't care about telling the truth. She just cares
- 38:20Speaker 1: about taking care of herself and her kids. And that's
- 38:23Speaker 1: always been Janelle.
- 38:25Speaker 2: And it's like, I understand that in the context of
- 38:28Speaker 2: like taking care of her and her children and stuff.
- 38:30Speaker 2: I get it. But at the same time, it's like,
- 38:32Speaker 2: why are we watching the show?
- 38:33Speaker 1: Then?
- 38:34Speaker 2: Why are we talking about Coyydie to pass? If you
- 38:35Speaker 2: guys allegedly signed NDAs because Cody and Robin made you
- 38:39Speaker 2: do that. Who gave them the power?
- 38:41Speaker 1: Who? Well, they can ask for whatever they want, but
- 38:44Speaker 1: who at TLC is allowing Cody to re acquire NDAs
- 38:49Speaker 1: about content that they are paying them to create. You're
- 38:53Speaker 1: paying you to show us your lives and what's happening
- 38:56Speaker 1: with these various deals, and you're going behind her back
- 38:58Speaker 1: and getting these NDAs. We can we can't get the
- 39:01Speaker 1: content that we're paying you for. So what dumb fuck
- 39:04Speaker 1: at TLC or producer at TLC is allowing Cody to
- 39:07Speaker 1: just run rough shot over this entire production? It drives
- 39:11Speaker 1: me co cizy me too, bitch.
- 39:15Speaker 2: And then we have to hear this like spun narrative
- 39:19Speaker 2: from Cody and Robin talking about like Robin, she was like,
- 39:23Speaker 2: this is bullshit. I'm gonna be the big fat rock
- 39:26Speaker 2: in the way and this is some fat and this
- 39:28Speaker 2: is some big Oh my god, I'm gonna be the
- 39:30Speaker 2: big fat rock in the way. You know, we need
- 39:33Speaker 2: to do this fairly. We need to split it up equally.
- 39:36Speaker 2: I'm not gonna let you guys do anything until it's
- 39:38Speaker 2: all equal and fair because I'm such a good person.
- 39:41Speaker 2: And then you have Cody saying similar bullshit, being like, yeah,
- 39:45Speaker 2: you know, Robin asked me like who I was because
- 39:48Speaker 2: I'm not the man she married, because you know, when
- 39:50Speaker 2: she married me, I was the kind of guy that
- 39:52Speaker 2: if my wife's let me, I would buy them houses
- 39:55Speaker 2: down the street to make sure that my kids were
- 39:57Speaker 2: cared for. And I'm like, you're saying all of this
- 39:59Speaker 2: will literally in a two point one million dollar mcmanchin
- 40:02Speaker 2: and you don't talk to any of your children, Like,
- 40:04Speaker 2: I don't know how you.
- 40:05Speaker 1: Think this helps doesn't own a home.
- 40:07Speaker 2: No, it doesn't own a home at all. She has
- 40:09Speaker 2: to live with her kids and no offense. But like
- 40:12Speaker 2: I know that's the situation that's at hand, and Mary's
- 40:15Speaker 2: in a haunted house, like nobody's taken care of. Really,
- 40:18Speaker 2: Like Christine's fine because she hits her wagon to David
- 40:21Speaker 2: and he seems successful and stuff. But just like and.
- 40:23Speaker 1: Christine is successful by her own right. She's doing some
- 40:25Speaker 1: things out there and she's creating she revenue for herself.
- 40:29Speaker 2: I just don't understand why Cody and Robin think like
- 40:32Speaker 2: continuing to lie like this is going to help their
- 40:36Speaker 2: image in any way.
- 40:39Speaker 1: I honestly think that they think we're buying it. Yeah,
- 40:44Speaker 1: I think they think we're stupid. And that's what narcs do.
- 40:49Speaker 1: They just believe that the web of lies they spend
- 40:52Speaker 1: like people are going to believe it. And when you
- 40:56Speaker 1: have a dumb nark who doesn't understand that they're dumb,
- 41:00Speaker 1: when they're not smart, not intelligent at all, and they're
- 41:03Speaker 1: spinning these webs of lies, it's easy to see that
- 41:06Speaker 1: you're lying, that you're creating fake content, that you're making
- 41:09Speaker 1: shit up. But you're dumb enough to think that, I'm
- 41:13Speaker 1: not smart enough to know that.
- 41:15Speaker 2: Yeah, like we may be dumb a little bit, but
- 41:17Speaker 2: we're smarter than them, indeed, my bitch. Indeed. And then
- 41:23Speaker 2: after this we get to the actual coyote pass stand off,
- 41:27Speaker 2: but we leave off on a cliffhanger because we're going
- 41:31Speaker 2: to get to it next week, because we can't just
- 41:32Speaker 2: like put it all in one episode. We got a
- 41:34Speaker 2: drag it out.
- 41:36Speaker 1: Well, it seems like Cody and Robin pulled an Ethan
- 41:40Speaker 1: plath Ye showing up late to his meeting with Olivia
- 41:44Speaker 1: Plath by two hours, right, So Cody and Robin are
- 41:47Speaker 1: trying to pull a power move and they're arriving late,
- 41:51Speaker 1: and so Mary and Janelle actually get out of their cars.
- 41:54Speaker 1: They think that Cody and Robin are going to be
- 41:56Speaker 1: right there, and they're being a polite and they're just
- 41:59Speaker 1: waiting and then Cody and Robin don't show up. Janelle's like,
- 42:02Speaker 1: I'm cold, I'm cold. I'm going to go back in
- 42:04Speaker 1: my car. And then at some point Cody and Robin
- 42:07Speaker 1: roll up, and Robin's like, why aren't they getting out
- 42:10Speaker 1: of their cars? I think I'm gonna take that personally.
- 42:13Speaker 1: That's about it be something about me.
- 42:17Speaker 2: She literally says like that's a message that we're not
- 42:19Speaker 2: going to interact, which I actually did appreciate the producers
- 42:23Speaker 2: keeping that in and putting that there, because we saw
- 42:26Speaker 2: the whole scene with Mary and Janelle right before that.
- 42:28Speaker 2: They're like completely fine. They're chatting with each other, they're
- 42:31Speaker 2: just kind of complaining about Cody and Robin and the
- 42:33Speaker 2: real estate agent being late, but then they go send
- 42:36Speaker 2: their cars. I think it's not that deep, but Robin
- 42:39Speaker 2: is taking it personally. And that's where we leave off
- 42:42Speaker 2: this week, because we're going to get to the old
- 42:44Speaker 2: Western standoff on Coyote Pass next week, which is gonna
- 42:48Speaker 2: be a big nothing burdin absolutely. I mean literally, like
- 42:51Speaker 2: the real estate agent's gonna get there and be like, yeah,
- 42:53Speaker 2: we sold it, congrats, and everyone's gonna say okay, bye, yep,
- 42:57Speaker 2: that's it. But next week. We also have in the
- 42:59Speaker 2: preview Janelle coming for Robin a little bit. She says
- 43:02Speaker 2: that Robin probably came here feeling like she was gonna
- 43:06Speaker 2: get attacked, and she did. We see this preview. She
- 43:08Speaker 2: thinks that she this is a message that you guys
- 43:11Speaker 2: hate her because you're in your cars warming up instead
- 43:14Speaker 2: of staying outside all cold, and Janelle's like, no, like,
- 43:17Speaker 2: we can be adults, chill out, Robin, it's not that deep.
- 43:20Speaker 2: We also have Cody saying Robin hates girl games, which
- 43:23Speaker 2: I think is really funny because she's the queen of
- 43:25Speaker 2: girl games, like what. And we have Janelle going to
- 43:29Speaker 2: New Orleans with her friends and she's gonna be hanging
- 43:32Speaker 2: out Marti Gras or whatever. And then Cody. There's a
- 43:36Speaker 2: scene of Cody with his beard, so this is before
- 43:39Speaker 2: he shaved. In this episode he shaved, and next episode
- 43:43Speaker 2: we see older footage with his beard and he says
- 43:46Speaker 2: this weird quote where he says, the knife of the
- 43:48Speaker 2: father is never out of the heart of his children,
- 43:51Speaker 2: and then he fake cries, and I guess this is
- 43:54Speaker 2: like about his kids rejecting him, because the next scene
- 43:57Speaker 2: is Robin saying when skids reject him. I just think
- 44:02Speaker 2: about me. She literally said that what is is?
- 44:07Speaker 1: She literally said, what if this is happening in his
- 44:10Speaker 1: family with his children? It makes me think about me. Yeah,
- 44:13Speaker 1: I couldn't believe that. And she fakeris I know, what
- 44:17Speaker 1: a nark dude, such an arc, what a narch, such an.
- 44:20Speaker 2: Art well, and also the narrative again that Cody's kids
- 44:23Speaker 2: are rejecting him, like as if Cody's the victim, right,
- 44:27Speaker 2: please MISBEI, as if.
- 44:28Speaker 1: He didn't do anything to bring this upon himself. This
- 44:31Speaker 1: absolute cool. I can So how many episodes do we
- 44:37Speaker 1: think we're getting out of season twenty, because like previously,
- 44:40Speaker 1: when we started a season in August or September or whatever,
- 44:44Speaker 1: we went through like Christmas, yeah, New Year's Eve. I
- 44:47Speaker 1: think Christine's wedding special was in January and the season
- 44:52Speaker 1: had concluded some time in December. So I'm wondering if
- 44:55Speaker 1: it's going to be normal because the last season was
- 44:57Speaker 1: not normal, not almost thirty episodes.
- 45:00Speaker 2: I can't do another three episodes. I mean I will,
- 45:02Speaker 2: but I can't, you know, I don't want to do that.
- 45:05Speaker 1: I can't imagine what we would be talking about because
- 45:07Speaker 1: we're wrapping up the marriages, we've got divorces and everything.
- 45:11Speaker 1: We're wrapping up Coyote Pass, we're moving out of the McMansion,
- 45:15Speaker 1: we've got a farm, Janelle's building her place. Like, what
- 45:17Speaker 1: else can we really talk about here? I'm thinking like
- 45:22Speaker 1: we take this maybe through November and part of December,
- 45:25Speaker 1: and then I think we wrap up season twenty And
- 45:27Speaker 1: I'm honestly going to be shocked if we get a
- 45:29Speaker 1: season twenty one. I just don't know what we would
- 45:31Speaker 1: be talking about.
- 45:32Speaker 2: I mean, we're just going to be seeing old footage again.
- 45:35Speaker 2: It's just gonna be b roll of like nothing, and
- 45:38Speaker 2: scripted storylines from Cody and Robin because they think that
- 45:41Speaker 2: we the viewers want to watch them flirt with each
- 45:44Speaker 2: other and meet Aurora's dumb boyfriend.
- 45:48Speaker 1: I don't I don't understand. I don't know who's watching.
- 45:51Speaker 1: I know why I'm watching, Yeah, because I'm watching for y'all,
- 45:54Speaker 1: and I know a lot of you who listen and
- 45:56Speaker 1: to follow us on YouTube and even Patreon. A lot
- 45:59Speaker 1: of you don't want watch the show anymore, but just
- 46:01Speaker 1: you can't take it. And I totally understand it. Who's
- 46:04Speaker 1: watching this, Who's sitting down every Sunday night with their
- 46:08Speaker 1: glass of wine going, oh my god, Cody and Robin
- 46:10Speaker 1: are on TV. Can't wait.
- 46:12Speaker 2: Well. I think that TLC is like exploiting the viewership
- 46:15Speaker 2: because it's like kind of a cult classic now, like
- 46:18Speaker 2: people who've been watching Sister Wives have been watching it
- 46:20Speaker 2: probably from the beginning, and so they're keeping up with
- 46:23Speaker 2: the family and it's been going on for so long.
- 46:25Speaker 2: So TLC's just kind of exploiting that, and so is
- 46:28Speaker 2: Cody and Robin because they need the money because they've
- 46:30Speaker 2: got that big old mortgage that they got to pay
- 46:32Speaker 2: for somehow. So I don't know. I mean, I think
- 46:35Speaker 2: they know people are going to keep tuning in until
- 46:37Speaker 2: it's gone.
- 46:38Speaker 1: When I say that production has Cody and Robin over
- 46:43Speaker 1: a barrel, I mean it like they could demand that
- 46:48Speaker 1: they open up their home, that they open up their lives,
- 46:50Speaker 1: that they stop scripting things, that they show more authentic
- 46:54Speaker 1: aspects of their lives, or that they all sit down,
- 46:56Speaker 1: God forbid, they all sit down during a tell all
- 46:58Speaker 1: and face each other. They could require that of them. Yeah,
- 47:02Speaker 1: and Cody and Robin don't have any leverage to say no,
- 47:05Speaker 1: because what are they going to do? Give up this paycheck?
- 47:07Speaker 1: What does Robin do, what does Cody do? What kind
- 47:10Speaker 1: of job do they have? But now they're tethered to
- 47:12Speaker 1: this two quick, one million dollar home and all of
- 47:15Speaker 1: the app financial apparatus attached to that which keeps that
- 47:19Speaker 1: home going. And I just love that they're situated so
- 47:22Speaker 1: close to that mining.
- 47:23Speaker 2: Oh, I know, it's so great.
- 47:24Speaker 1: I mean, I just love that they got a lemon
- 47:26Speaker 1: of a house. It's such a beautiful thing. But like,
- 47:29Speaker 1: what are they going to do? Like, you have all
- 47:31Speaker 1: the power to youlcee, and it just chases my hide,
- 47:34Speaker 1: bitch that you're not using it and requiring that this
- 47:37Speaker 1: become a better show like they did with Plathville last season.
- 47:41Speaker 2: Yep, I agree completely. I have no notes to say
- 47:43Speaker 2: to that.
- 47:44Speaker 1: Well, it's been good to be back, and we are
- 47:47Speaker 1: going to be going into an after show right after
- 47:50Speaker 1: this to talk about some hot gossip. Come and join
