- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Benn and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with her radio. Hello everyone, welcome back to the Almost
- 0:08Speaker 1: Amos podcast. Happy New Year, Benjamin Higgins, Happy New Year.
- 0:14Speaker 1: I heard that it may not have started out the
- 0:17Speaker 1: happiest for you. Why is that? Oh my goodness, I
- 0:20Speaker 1: cannot wait to hear about your holidays, you know, Dawson
- 0:24Speaker 1: and with Jared and the families. Um, I was kind
- 0:29Speaker 1: of peeping in on you through social media and all
- 0:32Speaker 1: the things you're up to. But my New Year, my
- 0:35Speaker 1: holiday was wild. So this year, Jessica's brother wanted to
- 0:42Speaker 1: go to Honduras because he's off of baseball right now
- 0:44Speaker 1: and he's never been to some of the communities that
- 0:47Speaker 1: we work with closely and close with in Honduras, and
- 0:51Speaker 1: so um we said, okay, great. And with Santa Belle,
- 0:55Speaker 1: where my parents live most of the year now being
- 0:59Speaker 1: hit by the hurricane this year, we weren't going to
- 1:02Speaker 1: go celebrate the holidays in Santa bell I don't know
- 1:05Speaker 1: if you knew this, but for the last three years,
- 1:08Speaker 1: Jessica's family, my family, we do a combined Christmas h
- 1:14Speaker 1: in a warm location, magical, wonderful. Did we talk about
- 1:18Speaker 1: this whole warm location. Christmas. You've said on Instagram this
- 1:22Speaker 1: year that you were like all about it. I don't
- 1:25Speaker 1: know if I'm all about it. I've never experienced it.
- 1:28Speaker 1: So my wife isn't all about it. She So we
- 1:32Speaker 1: actually celebrated like uh, like the holiday. When we got
- 1:36Speaker 1: back to Colorado, there was snow on the ground, and
- 1:40Speaker 1: so we did that. On New Year's Eve was kind
- 1:41Speaker 1: of our Christmas celebration because it was cold, there's snow.
- 1:46Speaker 1: We had a fire going. How did you make it Christmas?
- 1:49Speaker 1: Did you played some Christmas music, kept the tree up,
- 1:52Speaker 1: acted like it was Christmas. That's about it. But and
- 1:56Speaker 1: so we went to um. So we decided this year
- 1:58Speaker 1: that we were going to celebrate Christmas together, all of
- 2:01Speaker 1: us in Rheaton, Honduras, which you've never been. I don't
- 2:04Speaker 1: want anybody to ever go, because the hidden gym of
- 2:06Speaker 1: the world. It is the most beautiful place ever. It's
- 2:10Speaker 1: in the Caribbean. It's off the coast of Honduras. Uh.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Some of the best, if not the best scuba diving
- 2:15Speaker 1: in the world. But before we went to Rhodom, Philip,
- 2:20Speaker 1: Jessica and I went to San Pedro Sula, Honduras, um
- 2:24Speaker 1: a little town outside of it called El Progresso, which
- 2:26Speaker 1: is where we go a couple of times a year,
- 2:29Speaker 1: um to our communities are we We had a great
- 2:32Speaker 1: time there and at the end of that trip, then
- 2:34Speaker 1: we went to Rheaton on a little plane. I mean
- 2:37Speaker 1: I'm talking like one of those prop like propeller planes.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Like it was scary. It's always scary. I've done it
- 2:42Speaker 1: seven times now. Every time I don't like it. No,
- 2:45Speaker 1: thank you, Yeah, don't enjoy it. But we went to rhoadtime.
- 2:49Speaker 1: We had an incredible trip. We snorkeled, we scuba did um,
- 2:54Speaker 1: we ate, we just hung out on the beach. We
- 2:57Speaker 1: had drinks like it was awesome. It's a really really
- 3:00Speaker 1: ice and it was really cold here in the US,
- 3:01Speaker 1: as most people here listening. No, so we really enjoyed
- 3:04Speaker 1: that and we're kind of bragging about it while we're
- 3:06Speaker 1: on the beach, like think about us. I'm shirtless with
- 3:09Speaker 1: a bathing suit on, and people are bundled up in
- 3:11Speaker 1: their homes, which, hey, that had to be hard. It's
- 3:15Speaker 1: cozy and lovely, yeah for some. I mean negative fifty
- 3:19Speaker 1: doesn't feel that cozy and lovely to me. What did
- 3:22Speaker 1: you take negative fifty? Yeah, there's a negative fifty wind
- 3:25Speaker 1: chill in Indiana. No, yes, actually it was a bad deal. Okay, well,
- 3:31Speaker 1: what are you talking about extremes like that than Yeah,
- 3:33Speaker 1: I'd rather be where you were in the warmth. What
- 3:37Speaker 1: I'm thinking about Christmas, whether I'm thinking thirties? No, it
- 3:40Speaker 1: was cold. So any ways, all of a sudden, after
- 3:44Speaker 1: my scuba diving trip, I started and if you knew
- 3:47Speaker 1: this on the last podcast we recorded together, I was
- 3:50Speaker 1: a little sick. I've gotten a lot better it's been.
- 3:53Speaker 1: I've been about a ten day off and on flu.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Had about four days before I had to travel, so
- 3:59Speaker 1: I was feeling pretty good about going to travel, and
- 4:01Speaker 1: I was feeling pretty healthy. After my scuba diving, all
- 4:05Speaker 1: of a sudden, I just started to feel like the
- 4:07Speaker 1: pressure behind my eyes. I started to feel like the chills.
- 4:11Speaker 1: UM woke up in the middle of night with a
- 4:14Speaker 1: three temperature. I had sweated through the comforter and the sheets,
- 4:19Speaker 1: and then I was sick. Um And it was I
- 4:22Speaker 1: was really sick for for a few days and then
- 4:25Speaker 1: came back and feeling better now a little stuffy. Um
- 4:29Speaker 1: still have a little cough, so you might hear that.
- 4:31Speaker 1: But it was not fun. It was not fun to
- 4:34Speaker 1: be Christmas Day. It was on Christmas Days when I
- 4:37Speaker 1: woke up feeling sick. So it really took away from
- 4:41Speaker 1: any type of like kind of holiday celebration we have
- 4:44Speaker 1: in the in the warmth. But better now I'm ready
- 4:47Speaker 1: to start the new year. Well wait, did you get
- 4:50Speaker 1: that like poisoning? Um My, my sister's fiance his mom
- 4:56Speaker 1: went Scooba diving and she like hit the like just
- 5:00Speaker 1: hit a certain spot where she got you didn't You
- 5:03Speaker 1: don't know about this. I know about the bins. I
- 5:05Speaker 1: don't know about like the bens. Yeah. No, she had
- 5:10Speaker 1: to go to the hospital for three days a month ago. Yeah,
- 5:13Speaker 1: so you don't think that's what it was. No, that
- 5:15Speaker 1: happens when you go up too fast, like when you
- 5:17Speaker 1: assad too fast and your body doesn't know. I think
- 5:21Speaker 1: I I think I just got the flu again. I
- 5:22Speaker 1: think whatever scuba diving did wasn't like pushed all disease
- 5:26Speaker 1: that was still left in my body up to my
- 5:28Speaker 1: head and made me go crazy. Um it was it
- 5:33Speaker 1: was rough. I feel like we need to check you
- 5:36Speaker 1: into like a celebrity spa, like for like not a detox,
- 5:42Speaker 1: but like a a formal relaxation period. I'd like that.
- 5:47Speaker 1: I would like that there's too many like planes and stuff,
- 5:51Speaker 1: like the man needs to just stay static for a week.
- 5:55Speaker 1: I would like to. I've been here for a week
- 5:57Speaker 1: now and it's been incredible. I will say this, and
- 6:01Speaker 1: then I want to hear about your holidays, Ashley. Um,
- 6:03Speaker 1: I want to hear about everything that Dawson did and
- 6:06Speaker 1: how cute he was. Um. This is a little note,
- 6:10Speaker 1: not a known secret about me. I've never I haven't
- 6:12Speaker 1: been to the doctor in about ten years, and so
- 6:15Speaker 1: I don't think I have either. Well besides, well, I
- 6:18Speaker 1: guess the guy no for girls, so it's different. Yeah.
- 6:21Speaker 1: So I because of this sickness, because of my amount
- 6:26Speaker 1: of travel, which is my number one goal for three
- 6:29Speaker 1: is to eliminate the amount of travel I doing to
- 6:31Speaker 1: be home more. Uh, and so I've said no to things,
- 6:33Speaker 1: which feels very odd to me. Um, it feels like
- 6:37Speaker 1: a big transition again in my life. But uh, I
- 6:40Speaker 1: am going in two days to get set up with
- 6:44Speaker 1: my own personal doctor based on my wife's wishes. So
- 6:48Speaker 1: good for you. I'm listening to her. So for anybody
- 6:51Speaker 1: out there that wonders if I'm a good husband or not.
- 6:53Speaker 1: This is one mark that you can say, Yes, he
- 6:55Speaker 1: listens to his wife. He's a good husband. So I'm
- 6:58Speaker 1: going to get healthy and I'm gonna get a physical
- 7:02Speaker 1: and I'm not getting any younger thirty three years old.
- 7:06Speaker 1: I guess once you hit forty, like, it's really important
- 7:10Speaker 1: to have set up with a doctor. So that's what
- 7:11Speaker 1: I'm doing. That's great. I feel like I need to
- 7:14Speaker 1: encourage Jared to do the same. I tell them all
- 7:16Speaker 1: the time. I'm like, should we get you a CT scan?
- 7:19Speaker 1: I think your whole body just needs to be scanned,
- 7:22Speaker 1: because like he has these like weird ailments. Sometimes let's
- 7:25Speaker 1: just rule this all out. So I don't know what
- 7:29Speaker 1: it brings. I'm a little nervous about it. Doctors freaked
- 7:32Speaker 1: me out. Um, but I'm going to the doctor. Okay, Ashley,
- 7:36Speaker 1: your holidays. Catch us up on everything that went down
- 7:39Speaker 1: this holiday season for you. By the way, before you
- 7:42Speaker 1: get started, I want to say that your Instagram post
- 7:44Speaker 1: showing off that you, um worse. I mean, I always
- 7:48Speaker 1: knew you were a fan of like boy bands, but
- 7:51Speaker 1: your little posts showing that you were in like some
- 7:54Speaker 1: magazine with a picture of you in your like bedroom
- 7:57Speaker 1: or something with all the posters behind you. What did
- 8:00Speaker 1: you see this? You just posted it? I did not,
- 8:03Speaker 1: am I hacked. Maybe there is a picture that exists
- 8:09Speaker 1: of this, but I didn't post. Maybe it was one
- 8:11Speaker 1: of those Bachelor's sleothing sites that had no way. It
- 8:14Speaker 1: definitely was. Yeah, and I saw it and it was hilarious.
- 8:18Speaker 1: I never I gotta see how I'm tagged in that.
- 8:21Speaker 1: I never knew how big of a fan you were
- 8:23Speaker 1: until this picture comes out. But it's you like so
- 8:26Speaker 1: happy with I mean, I'm not kidding. Just help us
- 8:30Speaker 1: figure this out. How many posters did you have in
- 8:32Speaker 1: your room as a as a kid? Okay, I'm not
- 8:34Speaker 1: tagged in this. Somebody please tagged me in this picture
- 8:38Speaker 1: because I know that, like it exists, like it's easily
- 8:41Speaker 1: for me to find it at home, but I'd rather
- 8:44Speaker 1: not and just be tagging it. So. Yeah. My mom
- 8:46Speaker 1: surprised me one time by being in well, there's pop
- 8:50Speaker 1: Star magazine and I was also in Blast magazine. She
- 8:54Speaker 1: surprised me with the pop Star. Um I was going
- 8:56Speaker 1: on a field trip and then she handed me this
- 8:59Speaker 1: magazine and she goes turned to page whatever, and I
- 9:02Speaker 1: was like, oh my god. And then I got on
- 9:04Speaker 1: the charter bus and like I'm on the field trip.
- 9:06Speaker 1: But I got to show everyone that I was in
- 9:07Speaker 1: the magazine because they like posted fan pictures on this
- 9:11Speaker 1: one page of like their rooms or like you know,
- 9:14Speaker 1: creative things that they did to show their love for
- 9:16Speaker 1: the band. So I had like three hundred and fifty
- 9:21Speaker 1: is pictures, I posters, pin ups and centerfold and fold
- 9:26Speaker 1: out to like all those plastered all over my wallet.
- 9:31Speaker 1: You could not see wall, and I was very meticulous
- 9:35Speaker 1: about it. I was twelve years old. I would go
- 9:38Speaker 1: up on the ladder and just kind of puzzle piece
- 9:41Speaker 1: them all together to make perfect in sync wallpaper. And
- 9:46Speaker 1: then once one wall seemed to be a little outdated,
- 9:49Speaker 1: like the photos were over a year old, I would
- 9:52Speaker 1: take them all down and I'd start fresh with new
- 9:56Speaker 1: pin ups that I had saved. So every month I
- 9:58Speaker 1: got the new magazine scenes save them, and I had
- 10:03Speaker 1: an order. You know, I'd have to like have like
- 10:06Speaker 1: I never just had like three of the guys, like
- 10:08Speaker 1: I either had Justin. Justin was big and allowed to
- 10:11Speaker 1: be of his own, and then I was able to
- 10:15Speaker 1: like have like the big posters of course with the guys,
- 10:17Speaker 1: and then like the ones that you would get a
- 10:19Speaker 1: Sam Goody because like back then we had like the
- 10:22Speaker 1: record stores and like they would have a huge array
- 10:26Speaker 1: of posters and Spencers had them and Claire's and all
- 10:31Speaker 1: that stuff. So go to the mall all the time
- 10:33Speaker 1: and collecting that stuff and uh yeah. So then with
- 10:37Speaker 1: the guys, I would with all five in sinkers. I'd
- 10:41Speaker 1: have to have them in a certain order. It was
- 10:43Speaker 1: according to my favorites, and they'd all have to go
- 10:46Speaker 1: five together. There was never a time where like they
- 10:49Speaker 1: weren't in a group of five, like it had to
- 10:50Speaker 1: be equal, and uh yeah, So I was in magazines
- 10:55Speaker 1: because my room was crazy even you know now obviously
- 11:01Speaker 1: you you know you've talked to you can get Christmas
- 11:05Speaker 1: cards from Lance Bass literally Christmas cards. Where was Lance
- 11:08Speaker 1: Bass at on this in the order of your favorite
- 11:12Speaker 1: number two? Like right after justin Yeah, that's beautiful. Alright,
- 11:17Speaker 1: switching gears again. Um, we have a big podcast coming
- 11:21Speaker 1: up today, a lot of headlines. Obviously it's been a
- 11:23Speaker 1: bit since we've recorded a show. We have some headlines
- 11:26Speaker 1: about this upcoming season. We have some headlines about relationships
- 11:30Speaker 1: that are existing within Bachelor Nation. Uh, some updates on
- 11:35Speaker 1: past breakups, Um, how the couples are feeling about each other.
- 11:39Speaker 1: But before we get to that, actually, I do want
- 11:41Speaker 1: to hear about your holidays. I do want to hear
- 11:43Speaker 1: about how you celebrated and if everything went well. You're
- 11:48Speaker 1: so sweet. Um, there's not like a whole bunch of
- 11:50Speaker 1: like specific things to talk about. It was lovely. It
- 11:53Speaker 1: was definitely like the best christ of Us I've ever had,
- 11:56Speaker 1: and I've had in a long time, probably like as
- 11:58Speaker 1: an adult. My parents flew up to Rhode Island. It
- 12:03Speaker 1: was my first Christmas that I got to be with
- 12:05Speaker 1: some of my family since Jared and I got together,
- 12:08Speaker 1: because we have done the Thanksgiving in Virginia and the
- 12:11Speaker 1: Christmas and Rhode Island thing the entire time, um, we've
- 12:14Speaker 1: been together. So my parents flew up and thankfully I
- 12:18Speaker 1: have no idea their flight wasn't canceled there the flight
- 12:22Speaker 1: that they were on the day before. You know, if
- 12:24Speaker 1: they were, if they had would if they had booked
- 12:26Speaker 1: a day before, it would have been canceled. So miraculously
- 12:28Speaker 1: they got here. My sister was very sad she had
- 12:33Speaker 1: to send Christmas with her fiance and his family, and
- 12:37Speaker 1: she was just super bummed. That she couldn't beat with
- 12:39Speaker 1: Dawson on his first Christmas. Like she is in total
- 12:43Speaker 1: aunt mode. You're not an uncle yet, uh and neither
- 12:47Speaker 1: is Jess an aunt. And I only became an aunt
- 12:51Speaker 1: when I was like, you know, almost about the pop,
- 12:55Speaker 1: So I think it's a little different. But she is
- 12:58Speaker 1: going through like she just he's she's obsessed, Like she
- 13:01Speaker 1: definitely like thinks of Dawson. It's like kind of her
- 13:03Speaker 1: own beautiful it is. It's so beautiful, like she says,
- 13:07Speaker 1: you know, she'd take a bullet for him and like
- 13:09Speaker 1: die for him, and it's really super sweet anyway, So yeah,
- 13:14Speaker 1: she was super bumped. She didn't get to come, but
- 13:16Speaker 1: it was really nice because Jared got to do what
- 13:18Speaker 1: he's always want to do, his Clark Griswold thing and
- 13:21Speaker 1: have like a big family Christmas at our house. Is
- 13:24Speaker 1: the first time we ever hosted family at our house,
- 13:28Speaker 1: and we did like the traditional like basically like Thanksgiving meal.
- 13:32Speaker 1: He made a turkey for the first time. We all
- 13:35Speaker 1: were worried that that was not going to turn out,
- 13:38Speaker 1: but now Jared's got turkey duty on Christmas and Thanksgiving
- 13:41Speaker 1: the coming forward because he didn't mind making it and
- 13:44Speaker 1: he made it really good. Yeah, and both sets of
- 13:50Speaker 1: parents together, yes, so both like his parents came over
- 13:54Speaker 1: for a good chunk of the afternoon on Christmas, we
- 13:56Speaker 1: went to my parents went to hit Jared's cousins. How
- 14:00Speaker 1: else with that whole extended part of the Haden family,
- 14:03Speaker 1: the Baskett family technically Christmas Eve. It was just really
- 14:08Speaker 1: lovely and Dawson had a great day. He wasn't fussy.
- 14:13Speaker 1: He was loving it, like all the attention, the new toys,
- 14:17Speaker 1: like he didn't really care about I mean he does, actually,
- 14:19Speaker 1: like now really do. He does appreciate the toys, but
- 14:22Speaker 1: like when he's opening it, he's not like whoa, it's
- 14:24Speaker 1: like no, But like when he gets to like have
- 14:26Speaker 1: a new variety of things to play with, he's into that. Um.
- 14:29Speaker 1: It was just great. It was really really wonderful and
- 14:33Speaker 1: like just like a lot of like warmth and love
- 14:35Speaker 1: and there and happiness, and I made a bomb Jark
- 14:37Speaker 1: cooterie board and we watched a lot of good football.
- 14:40Speaker 1: My dad. It was the first time my dad came
- 14:43Speaker 1: to this house because my dad we you know, we
- 14:46Speaker 1: go home, we go to Virginia so much that like
- 14:49Speaker 1: my dad doesn't come up here to Rhode Island a time. Um,
- 14:53Speaker 1: but he likes this house and that meant a lot
- 14:55Speaker 1: because he hated the other house that we hated, and
- 14:58Speaker 1: he was like, I could hang her all the time.
- 15:00Speaker 1: I like being a guest. Uh. Yeah, So that was
- 15:04Speaker 1: my week and it was very nice. Sorry, no, it's
- 15:07Speaker 1: it's it's it's kind of how breaking down the holidays
- 15:10Speaker 1: goes well to everybody out there listening again, Happy New Year.
- 15:14Speaker 1: We hope that we understand that not always the holidays
- 15:18Speaker 1: are the most joy filled time and for those who
- 15:21Speaker 1: the holidays are difficult on we want to say we're
- 15:24Speaker 1: thinking about you. We hope that this is a year
- 15:28Speaker 1: full of hope and joy and love for you. Two
- 15:31Speaker 1: last things before we transfer into headlines. One UH is
- 15:38Speaker 1: speaking of football, We want to extend our thoughts out
- 15:40Speaker 1: to tomar Hamlin uh and his family. We watched it
- 15:44Speaker 1: last night. We were up until midnight. Really, um, just
- 15:50Speaker 1: kind of you know, we went to bed, very relaxed,
- 15:52Speaker 1: kind of like, hey, we're gonna watch Monday night football.
- 15:54Speaker 1: We're gonna be you know, do our normal like ten o'clock,
- 15:57Speaker 1: turn off the TV, fall asleep kind of thing. And
- 16:00Speaker 1: Jessica and I both. Uh. It just really uh just
- 16:04Speaker 1: like it did most of the people in the country.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Our thoughts were with Tamar and just trying to Um.
- 16:10Speaker 1: It's just it's hard to process and it's hard to see.
- 16:13Speaker 1: But then it's also hard I think for for us
- 16:16Speaker 1: the thing about what it was like to be his
- 16:18Speaker 1: mother who was there in the crowd. UM. So we
- 16:22Speaker 1: don't have any updates right now. We're not a sports
- 16:25Speaker 1: well I mean we have a little bit, but nothing. Um.
- 16:27Speaker 1: You know, he is uh in critical condition. Um, he
- 16:31Speaker 1: is and still at you see health in um Cincinnatial, Ohio. Uh.
- 16:37Speaker 1: But we're not a sports podcast as much I'd love
- 16:40Speaker 1: us to be, but it is it transcends sports. Uh.
- 16:45Speaker 1: And it's just something that I want us all to
- 16:47Speaker 1: think about. UM and to you know, I saw one
- 16:51Speaker 1: of his teammates today kind of tweet out, Hey, this
- 16:53Speaker 1: is a moment not only to be thinking about the
- 16:55Speaker 1: marks it's about tomorrow, but to also reach out to
- 16:57Speaker 1: your loved ones and just it's a good remind kinder
- 17:00Speaker 1: to tell him, hey, I love you, UM thinking about you,
- 17:03Speaker 1: even if you just saw him the holidays. UM. Friends,
- 17:06Speaker 1: just to get a little vulnerable to share with people
- 17:10Speaker 1: that you care about him, that you're thinking about him.
- 17:12Speaker 1: The second thing I want to ask is a very
- 17:15Speaker 1: big transition. Obviously, Ashley and I this year did something
- 17:18Speaker 1: that um many people are very scared of. We celebrate
- 17:22Speaker 1: our holidays with the in laws and our parents at
- 17:24Speaker 1: the same time. It went really well for both of us.
- 17:28Speaker 1: The question to you listeners is does that scare you?
- 17:31Speaker 1: Does it make you shiver? Have you ever done it?
- 17:35Speaker 1: Tell us your story, Send him in. We want to
- 17:37Speaker 1: hear from you. All right, let's take a break, Ashley.
- 17:40Speaker 1: When we come back, we're gonna break down bachelor headlines.
- 17:53Speaker 1: It's time for Bachelor headlines, Ashley. We have a plethora
- 17:57Speaker 1: of them today. We've been away for a bit, so
- 17:59Speaker 1: let just jump into him. Hey, big announcement coming up.
- 18:03Speaker 1: The Bachelor isn't that far away from airing. We've gotten
- 18:08Speaker 1: the sea clips, bits and pieces of Zach and his experience.
- 18:13Speaker 1: It seems like there's a lot of tears, not only
- 18:15Speaker 1: from Zach himself, but from the women involved. And now
- 18:20Speaker 1: we're getting to meet the women. Here's the headline, The
- 18:22Speaker 1: Bachelor Meet the Women with Jesse Palmer. This has been announced. Yes,
- 18:27Speaker 1: it will be on Wednesday. That is tomorrow if you're
- 18:30Speaker 1: listening to this on Tuesday, he's going to get on TikTok.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Is the first time they've done it on TikTok. I
- 18:35Speaker 1: think they've done it on Facebook Live before, maybe even
- 18:38Speaker 1: Instagram Live. But no, we're moving on the TikTok and
- 18:43Speaker 1: I guess we'll be seeing the official photos of the
- 18:45Speaker 1: girls for the first time and some brief bios on
- 18:48Speaker 1: them as well. So you can go to Bachelor Nation ABC.
- 18:54Speaker 1: That's the handle on TikTok to Wednesday UM at four
- 18:59Speaker 1: o'clock Pacific, seven pacifically four o'clock Pacific seven Eastern time
- 19:07Speaker 1: to get the first official look into these girls. You
- 19:10Speaker 1: know what this means? Actually, very soon, we're gonna have
- 19:13Speaker 1: one of our favorite episodes every season, which is breaking
- 19:15Speaker 1: down the woman without ever knowing the women or anything.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Your favorite episode where you're just a great storyteller. Can
- 19:22Speaker 1: you come over and tell stories to Dawson, just like
- 19:25Speaker 1: open a book and then totally make up what the
- 19:27Speaker 1: words are. I would love to, Yeah, I would love to.
- 19:30Speaker 1: I I love creating stories. This is a great episode
- 19:36Speaker 1: to do that. Again, we have no clue who any
- 19:38Speaker 1: of them are, UM, but that will be coming up
- 19:41Speaker 1: either next week or the week after. We'll be having
- 19:44Speaker 1: that episode, which is always a fun one and the listeners, Yeah,
- 19:48Speaker 1: see to tune in. Okay, you know what we should do?
- 19:50Speaker 1: Can we change things? Can we have can we have UM?
- 19:55Speaker 1: Like we'll tweet out or something, be like, we need
- 19:58Speaker 1: your first impressions of these girls too, So like you
- 20:01Speaker 1: make up your story, I'll give the bio details and
- 20:05Speaker 1: then we'll get a fan tidbit or a fan speculation
- 20:09Speaker 1: for each girl. I love it. Yeah, we can do this.
- 20:12Speaker 1: You can email us your first send in your story
- 20:15Speaker 1: first reaction UM to the women at Ben and Ashley
- 20:20Speaker 1: at I heart media dot com. We're going to read
- 20:22Speaker 1: those off when we break it down. That'd be a blast.
- 20:26Speaker 1: I love having that. Okay, next headline is this Susie
- 20:29Speaker 1: Evans admits she still misses her ex bachelor Clayton. Uh
- 20:35Speaker 1: this according to Yahoo Yeah Yahoo yeahoo. Trying to come
- 20:40Speaker 1: up with a headline here. So basically, she didn't ask
- 20:45Speaker 1: me anything on Instagram and somebody said you miss Clayton,
- 20:51Speaker 1: and then she goes joking. Of course he was a
- 20:56Speaker 1: wonderful part of my life. He probe has a lot
- 21:00Speaker 1: less gray hair is coming in now that he's got
- 21:03Speaker 1: me off his back. But really, of course I miss him.
- 21:06Speaker 1: He was my closest friend for the last year and
- 21:09Speaker 1: went through a lot together and I know we will
- 21:12Speaker 1: both have a special place in each other's hearts. Um.
- 21:16Speaker 1: And now that we're back on talking terms, I can
- 21:18Speaker 1: go back to roasting him. But you guys still can't
- 21:21Speaker 1: only me. And then Clayton shared that post to his
- 21:25Speaker 1: own Instagram and said, one gray hair sprouted just when
- 21:30Speaker 1: I saw that you tagged me in this story. A
- 21:33Speaker 1: warning next time would be nice. There you go. Well,
- 21:37Speaker 1: it seems like they still are getting along. They're very cordial.
- 21:40Speaker 1: It's really nice to see. Uh. And obviously Clayton is
- 21:44Speaker 1: out there, uh you know, really speaking out on mental health. UM.
- 21:48Speaker 1: It's something that he's investing into. UM, which is you know, uh,
- 21:53Speaker 1: something that I'm I don't know. I want to say
- 21:55Speaker 1: I'm proud of him, because that makes me sound like I, Um,
- 21:58Speaker 1: I was not proud of him. I'm just it's it's
- 22:00Speaker 1: good to see somebody like him who is in a
- 22:02Speaker 1: place that has a spotlight share about something. There's so
- 22:05Speaker 1: many people I want to relate to and need to
- 22:08Speaker 1: relate to, But it does seem like the both of
- 22:11Speaker 1: them are are doing really well well. Teddy Wright debuse
- 22:16Speaker 1: her new boyfriend after early Bachelor of Paradise exit. There's
- 22:20Speaker 1: photos you can see him this according to US Weekly.
- 22:24Speaker 1: So we talked to Andrew, you know, her Bachelor in
- 22:28Speaker 1: Paradise love interest a couple of weeks ago. There's an
- 22:30Speaker 1: in depth with him up right now. It's really great.
- 22:33Speaker 1: I loved my time interviewing and who's not even interviewing,
- 22:36Speaker 1: just chatting for hours with Andrew and justin doing there
- 22:39Speaker 1: in depth. And Andrew talked a little bit about how
- 22:43Speaker 1: things didn't even feel right with Teddy in Paradise, but
- 22:47Speaker 1: he's still like there's still some curiosity there that he
- 22:50Speaker 1: wanted to pursue. He talks about in the in depth
- 22:54Speaker 1: how they didn't speak really at all after the show,
- 22:59Speaker 1: like even though he was kind of trying to reach
- 23:01Speaker 1: out via DM, she just still didn't seem interested. So
- 23:05Speaker 1: now maybe we know why she wasn't interested. She has
- 23:09Speaker 1: a real, real boyfriend now. She captions her her Instagram
- 23:14Speaker 1: reel of a montage of them basically kissing and cuddling
- 23:18Speaker 1: and all that first New Year's kiss ever, Happy New Year, hashtag. Um.
- 23:24Speaker 1: She said that she kind of like hinted a couple
- 23:28Speaker 1: like on December that she was going to hard launch
- 23:32Speaker 1: this relationship because she said that she's been working dancing
- 23:37Speaker 1: with a sweet little boy. Um not not this boyfriend.
- 23:42Speaker 1: And there's also some other things that all share later
- 23:45Speaker 1: dot dot dot and then hand over mouth emoji. So
- 23:50Speaker 1: hard launched on New Year's really happy for her, and
- 23:55Speaker 1: it seems like they've been uh dating for a while
- 23:59Speaker 1: if you watch the real Yeah, I just watched it
- 24:02Speaker 1: for the first time. Um, she seems very cries at
- 24:06Speaker 1: the beginning, pries at the beginning, but yeah, and it
- 24:10Speaker 1: adds happy. She starts crying by being like I think
- 24:13Speaker 1: she's going with the music. She's like, um, am I
- 24:16Speaker 1: ever going to find someone? And then she's found someone
- 24:20Speaker 1: there he is well. Happy for Teddy. Uh that relationship
- 24:23Speaker 1: has started. And another one of Bachelor Nation contestants have
- 24:28Speaker 1: removed themselves in chances of going on Paradise next year,
- 24:31Speaker 1: which I never think Teddy had any idea that she
- 24:33Speaker 1: would ever go back on Paradise, So I think that's fine. Uh. Well, Ashley,
- 24:38Speaker 1: a non Bachelor contestant, is making headlines. It's an interesting
- 24:42Speaker 1: one to me. Uh. If you don't know this, Will's
- 24:46Speaker 1: Adams Uh and Tyler Florence have started their own podcast
- 24:49Speaker 1: with I Heart Radio two Dudes in a Kitchen. It's
- 24:52Speaker 1: a great podcast. I enjoy listening to the both of them.
- 24:56Speaker 1: But on the recent episode, here's the headline, Tyler Florence
- 24:58Speaker 1: says he once turned down the Bachelor didn't feel right
- 25:01Speaker 1: dis according to people. Okay, first off, calling out of touch.
- 25:06Speaker 1: I didn't know who Tyler Florence was until yesterday, and
- 25:08Speaker 1: then I see he's part of our headlines twice. He
- 25:12Speaker 1: is a really famous celebrity chef does all the Food
- 25:15Speaker 1: Network stuff. Did you know who he was? I did?
- 25:18Speaker 1: I do. But you also have to remember my other
- 25:21Speaker 1: life is owning restaurants and a coffee shop. So Tyler
- 25:25Speaker 1: Florence is somebody that, like, I just know from that world. Okay, Okay,
- 25:29Speaker 1: So this headline is funny because I feel like how
- 25:32Speaker 1: many people have come out of the woodwork and been
- 25:35Speaker 1: asked to be the Bachelor. Back in the two thousand's,
- 25:37Speaker 1: they basically went to any celebrity that wasn't maybe like
- 25:40Speaker 1: super alist, and they asked them to be the lead
- 25:44Speaker 1: of this show. And then they all seem like they've
- 25:46Speaker 1: turned it down, but he said that his son was
- 25:49Speaker 1: for at the time, and he didn't want to be
- 25:51Speaker 1: making out with chicks in a hot tub. Just didn't
- 25:54Speaker 1: feel right at the time. And that's basically what we
- 25:57Speaker 1: have now. But he is going to be on a
- 26:00Speaker 1: new show in addition to his new podcast with Wells,
- 26:03Speaker 1: which is called UM Two Dudes in a Kitchen and
- 26:07Speaker 1: That's what I heart. I Heart Radio and they He's
- 26:11Speaker 1: also doing the show with Hannah Brown, which is Special
- 26:15Speaker 1: Forces UM World's Toughest Test, which I'm actually going to watch.
- 26:19Speaker 1: There's so many reality shows that I'm like, oh, that
- 26:22Speaker 1: looks good, like I'm going to watch it. You don't know.
- 26:24Speaker 1: I'm actually watching this show. It looks insane. I wonder
- 26:28Speaker 1: how to do on it, how you would have done?
- 26:30Speaker 1: I wonder how anybody would We're horrible. I have way
- 26:33Speaker 1: more faith than Hannah Brown than me. She's got h
- 26:37Speaker 1: I feel like she's tougher. I think it's gonna be
- 26:42Speaker 1: I think it's gonna be a very interesting show. We
- 26:44Speaker 1: we're gonna talk about that show here coming up in
- 26:46Speaker 1: just a bit in one of the headlines. But this
- 26:48Speaker 1: podcast with Wells and Tyler. It's a good one. You
- 26:52Speaker 1: should tune into it, you know, even if you aren't
- 26:54Speaker 1: maybe interesting, if you don't a foodie and you're not
- 26:56Speaker 1: interested in the food world. Uh, there's just a lot
- 26:58Speaker 1: of good tips. Uh, there's a lot of good wisdom.
- 27:02Speaker 1: I find it to be very interesting, uh, in intriguing
- 27:06Speaker 1: and a lot of times I'm getting just I mean,
- 27:08Speaker 1: I just enjoy listening to two of them together. So
- 27:10Speaker 1: check it out. It is on iHeart Radio. Um. Next
- 27:15Speaker 1: headline is this kinda long discusses adjusting to life in
- 27:19Speaker 1: Germany with fiance Mitch. This according to Batch Nation. If
- 27:21Speaker 1: you don't know a little backstory, Kendall did move to
- 27:24Speaker 1: Germany with her fiance Mitch Um not that long ago.
- 27:28Speaker 1: And Ashley, yeah, tell us about the adjustment. She's mostly
- 27:34Speaker 1: concerned about the food because if you do think about
- 27:38Speaker 1: German food, I don't know, if you know, if you're
- 27:41Speaker 1: like me, you think about beer, pretzels and what else?
- 27:46Speaker 1: Beer pretzels? Potatoes? Are they no? I mean, yeah, there's Germany.
- 27:52Speaker 1: I don't know their culinary scene. They have a lot
- 27:55Speaker 1: of good food, but it is you know, they are
- 27:57Speaker 1: known for their beer. They're also known or some fried foods. Um.
- 28:02Speaker 1: You know, I don't think of Germany and I think
- 28:04Speaker 1: of lush salads and vegetables. I do think of you know, um,
- 28:09Speaker 1: but like some really good food that I really enjoy. Yeah,
- 28:13Speaker 1: but it is different. Well, she said that they've done
- 28:17Speaker 1: a lot of exploring with the food, especially the first
- 28:20Speaker 1: week they were there. They didn't have you know, they
- 28:23Speaker 1: didn't have any groceries. They didn't really know what to do,
- 28:26Speaker 1: so they just explored, um, the restaurants around their their town.
- 28:30Speaker 1: And she said that they're lucky because they have a
- 28:32Speaker 1: big Italian community there. The Italian food is really good.
- 28:35Speaker 1: She's really into this sushi's place that's right across the
- 28:38Speaker 1: um corner from them, and there's a really big Asian
- 28:41Speaker 1: influence there as well. She said that it's um been
- 28:44Speaker 1: really cool exploring the food scene and trying things that
- 28:47Speaker 1: she's never had before. Yeah, and you know Germany, I
- 28:51Speaker 1: do know. It's known for schnitzel, uh, which is really good.
- 28:55Speaker 1: It's also that's very popular in Israel, which schnitzel, Like,
- 29:00Speaker 1: what is it? I've heard it before, but it sounds
- 29:01Speaker 1: like pretzel to me, so I just assume it's the same,
- 29:04Speaker 1: very different schnitzel is is more of like a fried
- 29:08Speaker 1: uh like piece of like not meat, but like it's
- 29:13Speaker 1: like a fried I think it's chicken. It's typically chicken
- 29:16Speaker 1: or pork. I could be wrong with the pork, but
- 29:18Speaker 1: I know it's chicken. But it's like a pattied out
- 29:20Speaker 1: fried chicken. And it's really good. Um, but it's fried chicken.
- 29:25Speaker 1: You know. You also have the sausages as we know them,
- 29:27Speaker 1: or the brought worst um, that's you know dove of course,
- 29:32Speaker 1: how do we forget that? And then you you know
- 29:34Speaker 1: the roasts. They have a lot of roast along with pretzels,
- 29:38Speaker 1: which I think they call bretzels. Um. We call them
- 29:41Speaker 1: pretzels here in the US, but I think they call
- 29:43Speaker 1: him pretzels if I'm not mistaken, but it is. I'd say,
- 29:50Speaker 1: like it's incredible food, like the roasts and the sausages,
- 29:54Speaker 1: but it's it's heavier food. It's heavier food than probably
- 29:57Speaker 1: you're used to living in l a where you you're
- 30:00Speaker 1: used to living like in the US. That's why Poley
- 30:02Speaker 1: Sushi is attracted to her Um for whatever reason, have
- 30:07Speaker 1: you ever been to Germany flown through it? Never never
- 30:11Speaker 1: been there? For more than two hours. I would like
- 30:13Speaker 1: to go um because I do love all those foods
- 30:16Speaker 1: coming from the Midwest. Actually a lot of like the
- 30:19Speaker 1: Midwestern foods that you know, I'm so accustomed to have
- 30:24Speaker 1: a lot of base in German food, and so I
- 30:26Speaker 1: really love that food. It's it's like, uh, it feels
- 30:29Speaker 1: like home to me. So I think i'd have a
- 30:31Speaker 1: great time. I just don't know how long I could
- 30:34Speaker 1: do it without not feeling good. How many pretzels and
- 30:39Speaker 1: sausages and fried chicken like Schnitzel's can you have before
- 30:43Speaker 1: you go? I'm tired. I need to salad. See, you know,
- 30:48Speaker 1: I never feel like sick after eating stuff like that. Jared,
- 30:52Speaker 1: It'll go right through them. He's so embarrassing, literally has
- 30:55Speaker 1: to poop the second he eats like a meal. It's
- 30:59Speaker 1: almost literally almost annoying. But I get really tired, Like
- 31:09Speaker 1: I if I eat a meal like that before six o'clock,
- 31:13Speaker 1: m I'm out. One of the fun things we did
- 31:17Speaker 1: during the holidays was we went through the the foods
- 31:21Speaker 1: that are oddest maybe to the outside world, that we
- 31:25Speaker 1: grew up eating, and Peeple and Jessica and I always
- 31:29Speaker 1: do this because she's never heard of chicken and noodles
- 31:33Speaker 1: on mashed potatoes, like egg noodles with chicken on mashed potatoes,
- 31:36Speaker 1: and that would have been like a church neither have I. Yeah,
- 31:42Speaker 1: I grew up on it. It was even in our
- 31:44Speaker 1: lunch room. You'd have egg noodles with chicken on mashed
- 31:46Speaker 1: potatoes with a side of like a bread and butter sandwich,
- 31:51Speaker 1: which she still thinks is weird. There's like two pieces
- 31:53Speaker 1: of white bread with butter um. Also is strange to me.
- 31:58Speaker 1: Keep them coming. This is podcast uh tinder loins. She'd
- 32:03Speaker 1: never heard of a tender loin. It's a breaded tender loin.
- 32:05Speaker 1: It's kind of like a schitzel, but it's it's like
- 32:07Speaker 1: a pork tender loin. It's it has um. Their origins
- 32:10Speaker 1: of it are from Japan um. But we've taken it
- 32:13Speaker 1: in the Midwest and kind of put it on two
- 32:15Speaker 1: pieces of bread and added usually like some relish uh
- 32:19Speaker 1: to it with like some cabbage. Uh. We eat a
- 32:23Speaker 1: lot of tender loins, breaded pork tender loins. My grandma
- 32:28Speaker 1: hers was that she grew up eating saltine crackers and milk,
- 32:32Speaker 1: so they would take saltine crackers crunch them up, put
- 32:35Speaker 1: them in milk, and she would eat it with a spoon. Uh.
- 32:38Speaker 1: And the final one would be we Uh. I grew
- 32:40Speaker 1: up eating a lot of liver and liver worst. Uh.
- 32:44Speaker 1: So liver is very popular. Uh do you like it?
- 32:48Speaker 1: My dad loves it. But I've never had it. I
- 32:50Speaker 1: haven't had it a long time. I don't know if
- 32:52Speaker 1: I love the texture. These days, I think i'd love
- 32:55Speaker 1: the flavor, but I think the texture would be hard
- 32:57Speaker 1: on me. Now I'm a texture guy. Now as I've
- 32:59Speaker 1: gotten older, I've got to pick here. But um, yeah,
- 33:02Speaker 1: I think I could still eat it and have and
- 33:04Speaker 1: and enjoy it. You know, these are all foods from
- 33:07Speaker 1: the Midwest. They're also foods like from my grandparents generations,
- 33:10Speaker 1: a lot of them or you know, they had the
- 33:12Speaker 1: Great you know, the Great Depression, they had some wars,
- 33:15Speaker 1: and so a lot of these foods were just whatever
- 33:17Speaker 1: you could find on the phone. Crackers and milk may
- 33:19Speaker 1: have sounded a little depression like, yeah, but they love them,
- 33:22Speaker 1: still eat them the day. So that was always fun
- 33:25Speaker 1: for us. We went through this whole list. Everybody did
- 33:27Speaker 1: kind of talking about what foods did they grow up eating,
- 33:29Speaker 1: or what kind of habits that they have growing up
- 33:31Speaker 1: that are the weirdest today. Do you mind if I
- 33:35Speaker 1: stay on this a little bit longer? What did just
- 33:39Speaker 1: grow up eating that you didn't? Nothing? Really nothing? She yeah,
- 33:45Speaker 1: I mean she used an Italian comes from an Italian family,
- 33:48Speaker 1: so it's a lot of like Pasta's and I mean
- 33:50Speaker 1: stuff shells, but nothing weird like stuff I alreadys knew of.
- 33:53Speaker 1: I just like nobody in my family was making it
- 33:56Speaker 1: um and so there was really nothing on her end
- 33:59Speaker 1: that was like shock. The only thing um that she's
- 34:03Speaker 1: been doing now, like I don't know for how long
- 34:07Speaker 1: would she uh? She was encouraged at some point to
- 34:10Speaker 1: put um egg uh and our peanut butter on her eggs,
- 34:16Speaker 1: and I guess it's really good. Yeah, she said it's
- 34:18Speaker 1: really good. But I can't have eggs, so actually never,
- 34:21Speaker 1: I mean, like I'm not judging it because like I
- 34:23Speaker 1: love peanut butter on my burgers, which is like the
- 34:26Speaker 1: Elvis because Elvis used to do that. It's so good. Um.
- 34:29Speaker 1: But you want to hear a little tibit a little
- 34:32Speaker 1: fact about me. My parents they met when my mom
- 34:35Speaker 1: was twenty on her twentieth birthday. She's just a regular
- 34:38Speaker 1: Jersey girl, lived like a very normal Jersey girl suburban life.
- 34:42Speaker 1: Her parents, though, were like straight off the boat from Holland.
- 34:47Speaker 1: They moved here in their teens. My mom, at the
- 34:51Speaker 1: age of twenty in New Jersey, had never had Chinese food,
- 34:56Speaker 1: a freaking bagel, never had had a bagel by twenty
- 35:01Speaker 1: years old, and never had cheesecake until my dad introduced her.
- 35:08Speaker 1: My goodness, her world has been opened up. That's kind
- 35:13Speaker 1: of weird. It is fun. It is fun. If if
- 35:16Speaker 1: I met Jared and he was like, I've never had
- 35:18Speaker 1: a bagel, I would be like, yes, But at the
- 35:21Speaker 1: same time, I would be like, I think bagels are
- 35:23Speaker 1: a little overrated. They just their bread with bread is great,
- 35:26Speaker 1: But like, would I rather have a bag Gett's like
- 35:29Speaker 1: a buttery, crispy butter, you know, like melted buttery baguette
- 35:33Speaker 1: or a bagel. I'd rather have a bagett. I mean,
- 35:37Speaker 1: but being in New Jersey, you feel like bagels are
- 35:39Speaker 1: such a part of that it's shocking. Yeah, like diner
- 35:43Speaker 1: cheesecake too. I've never been I'm not a huge cheesecake person,
- 35:47Speaker 1: but I'll eat it. Yeah, Well, that's another fun question.
- 35:50Speaker 1: I really want to get some feedback from our listeners.
- 35:52Speaker 1: So email us, same email Ben and Ashley. I heard
- 35:55Speaker 1: me dot com. The oddest things or what you consider
- 35:59Speaker 1: what you think would be the out of things you
- 36:00Speaker 1: grew up consuming. Uh and maybe not just once, but
- 36:05Speaker 1: like consistently. I have a whole list, right, But that's
- 36:09Speaker 1: kind of the things that stand out to me, the
- 36:11Speaker 1: things that are different in our time. Alright, back to headlines.
- 36:24Speaker 1: Mike Johnson reveals he's in an exclusive relationship and shares
- 36:28Speaker 1: how he met his new boo. This according to Bachelor Nation,
- 36:32Speaker 1: not that long ago. We were at the I Heart
- 36:34Speaker 1: Radio Music festival. Rumors came out, uh during that festival
- 36:40Speaker 1: that he was kind of on a date and so
- 36:42Speaker 1: this is a big head Yeah, it's a big headline.
- 36:45Speaker 1: Oh yeah, he was supposed to be like going on
- 36:48Speaker 1: dates with Megan King that weekend, and they did. I
- 36:50Speaker 1: don't think that this is what it is though. I
- 36:53Speaker 1: don't think it's Megan King as his secret new boom.
- 36:55Speaker 1: He says that he's known this girl for six months.
- 36:58Speaker 1: They've been like hanging out for some months, but they've
- 37:00Speaker 1: been official for two months. Said that his friend hooked
- 37:04Speaker 1: him up with her. It sounds like they were out
- 37:08Speaker 1: and then he was like, you should meet my friend.
- 37:10Speaker 1: Mike showed him a shout her a picture and then
- 37:13Speaker 1: she was like yeah, sure, um give him my Instagram
- 37:18Speaker 1: And this happens to be the same guy who signed
- 37:22Speaker 1: him up for the show. So this guy really puts
- 37:25Speaker 1: a lot of good things into my life. Love. Everybody
- 37:29Speaker 1: wants to see Mike find love. This this guy's for
- 37:31Speaker 1: sure does and um, he says that right now he's
- 37:36Speaker 1: going to be really private about things, but he's not
- 37:40Speaker 1: going to keep it private forever. He does say that
- 37:44Speaker 1: they're spending New Year's Eve together, which you would if
- 37:46Speaker 1: you're official for two months, and um, they're also spending
- 37:49Speaker 1: his birthday together. Well, good for Mike. We look forward
- 37:53Speaker 1: to finding out who this mystery human is. Well. Gabby
- 37:58Speaker 1: Wendy discusses the ports of healthy conversations about sex and relationships.
- 38:03Speaker 1: This according to Batchel Nation as well well. This happened
- 38:07Speaker 1: in the same podcast that this conversation happened the same
- 38:10Speaker 1: podcast as the micro reveal, and Mike has been on
- 38:15Speaker 1: Instagram doing a lot of relationship reels, a lot of
- 38:19Speaker 1: it has to do with sex and sensuality, and Gabby
- 38:23Speaker 1: said that what she she thinks that what he's doing
- 38:26Speaker 1: is so important because in our culture and relationships in general.
- 38:30Speaker 1: She says, sex is so taboo and we don't know
- 38:33Speaker 1: how to talk about it in a healthy way. And
- 38:35Speaker 1: it's something that we can talk about and make better
- 38:38Speaker 1: for one another because each person wants something different sexually. Um,
- 38:42Speaker 1: you have to unlearn your previous relationship and relearn it
- 38:45Speaker 1: with the new partners so you're both satisfied and don't
- 38:48Speaker 1: have to go somewhere else. So she said she is
- 38:52Speaker 1: so afraid of talking about it too, because she doesn't
- 38:55Speaker 1: want to hurt anybody's feelings. She just doesn't want to
- 38:57Speaker 1: and um, make it seem not genuine. But she goes,
- 39:01Speaker 1: nobody teaches you these things because nobody talks about sex.
- 39:05Speaker 1: And then Mike said, um, you know that's why he's
- 39:10Speaker 1: doing what he's doing. Well. Gabby has always been a
- 39:14Speaker 1: good spokesperson for this show and for all of us
- 39:17Speaker 1: out there, so it's nice to see her on there.
- 39:19Speaker 1: And it's also interesting to see Mike Johnson step into
- 39:23Speaker 1: the co hosting seat of Clickbait UH this week. Obviously,
- 39:27Speaker 1: with Talking it Out UM coming to a close, I
- 39:30Speaker 1: wonder if Mike's role at clickbait will increase or not?
- 39:33Speaker 1: Want to wait and see on that. Well. One of
- 39:36Speaker 1: Bachel Nation's couples who had a hard launch hard launch
- 39:41Speaker 1: during a live show a hard Launch, Victoria Fuller shares
- 39:46Speaker 1: behind the scenes look at trip to Italy with Greg.
- 39:49Speaker 1: This according to nobody, it's according to her Instagram. So
- 39:58Speaker 1: she posted a reel of their time in Italy, which
- 40:01Speaker 1: took place in late September. I think you know the
- 40:07Speaker 1: controversial trip to Italy where they was she still officially
- 40:12Speaker 1: with Johnny? Was she not? Well, they're saying that they
- 40:16Speaker 1: fell in love in Italy. Um, that's according to her caption,
- 40:20Speaker 1: which is point of view, you fall in love in Italy.
- 40:23Speaker 1: And it is a long reel. I think it's over
- 40:25Speaker 1: a minute long, and it's of them in a whole
- 40:27Speaker 1: bunch of different places in Italy being CUTESI together Greg
- 40:31Speaker 1: smoking a lot of cigarettes. Um, but they are definitely
- 40:34Speaker 1: enjoying themselves. Looks romantic, Greg commented in the Captain Greg
- 40:40Speaker 1: commented on the post, saying, I'd go to McDonald's in
- 40:44Speaker 1: Europe with you any day. That is something Jared always
- 40:48Speaker 1: wants to do when we're in Europe. He's like but
- 40:50Speaker 1: I just want McDonald, So it's like, is anything really
- 40:53Speaker 1: gonna be better than McDonald? And then yeah, and then
- 40:59Speaker 1: Andrew wrote underneath the Andrew Spencer he said this made
- 41:03Speaker 1: me week love this. Damn I'm single a f and
- 41:06Speaker 1: then Kelsey Weir she chimed in and said love everything
- 41:09Speaker 1: about this, and um Christine Whiddley also said point of view.
- 41:15Speaker 1: The babies will have Italian names. So basically everybody is
- 41:20Speaker 1: just like kind of getting on board this love train.
- 41:24Speaker 1: And if you do listen to the in depth with
- 41:26Speaker 1: Justin and Andrew, they are definitely on board with this couple,
- 41:29Speaker 1: and Greg's one of their best friends. Next headline only
- 41:33Speaker 1: two more headlines left for today. Bachelorette star shades ex
- 41:40Speaker 1: fiance on Instagram. That's the headline. Bachelorette star shades ex
- 41:46Speaker 1: fiance on Instagram. Who are we talking about? Ashley? So
- 41:49Speaker 1: this is what happened, Andrew posted. Andrew Spencer. He posted
- 41:54Speaker 1: a TikTok in which he Nate, Justin, rome Oh and
- 42:00Speaker 1: Rodney are all doing like this TikTok dance thing. It's
- 42:07Speaker 1: like a trending thing. And Andrew wrote underneath it, Romeo
- 42:12Speaker 1: understood the assignment and then they're all doing different you know,
- 42:18Speaker 1: they're all they're all doing a decent job, right, Michelle writes,
- 42:22Speaker 1: dancing Yeah, And then Michelle writes underneath in the comments one, two, three,
- 42:29Speaker 1: and five because each dance is labeled a different you know,
- 42:33Speaker 1: each guy is labeled a different number, left no crumbs, one, two, three,
- 42:39Speaker 1: and five left no crumbs, which is a slang expression
- 42:43Speaker 1: for basically like snaps like high praise. And then, of
- 42:47Speaker 1: course she left out Nate intentionally, who was number four? Uh?
- 42:54Speaker 1: The comment received more than eight thousand likes and um
- 43:02Speaker 1: prompted comments from fans like the shade I am deceased,
- 43:07Speaker 1: this is so spicy, I love it. It's uh yeah.
- 43:12Speaker 1: Number four obviously was Nate, so she was saying she
- 43:16Speaker 1: liked everybody's dancing. Number four maybe disappointed her. Uh well,
- 43:22Speaker 1: Earlier we talked about a relationship and bachel Nation that
- 43:25Speaker 1: was cordial Susie and Clayton. This one doesn't seem to
- 43:28Speaker 1: be maybe as cordial. Am I wrong on that? Ashley?
- 43:32Speaker 1: You're not wrong? Not wrong? Okay. Final headline we talked
- 43:35Speaker 1: about a little bit earlier. Hannah Brown reveals Special Forces
- 43:39Speaker 1: will show her in a different light. I'm telling you
- 43:42Speaker 1: right now, this will be a good show. This looks
- 43:45Speaker 1: like a very intriguing show. It would be a show,
- 43:48Speaker 1: um that if I got asked to do, I would
- 43:50Speaker 1: probably say yes to it, just because it is so
- 43:55Speaker 1: different than anything we've seen before. So Ashley, why will
- 44:00Speaker 1: it show her in a different light? Who's going to
- 44:02Speaker 1: be on this show? And what is the show all about? Well,
- 44:05Speaker 1: actually we don't really know why it's going to show
- 44:08Speaker 1: her in a different light. We don't have any quotes.
- 44:10Speaker 1: We don't have any quotes from Hannah, but but the show.
- 44:17Speaker 1: In the show, they have to compete in demanding training
- 44:21Speaker 1: exercises that are led by staff agents, an elite team
- 44:26Speaker 1: of ex Special Forces operatives. Um, okay, we do have
- 44:31Speaker 1: own quote from her says it's transformative. Every person that's
- 44:34Speaker 1: part of it learned something about themselves in these extreme
- 44:37Speaker 1: moments that you can't really experience in any other way. Okay,
- 44:41Speaker 1: but still a little vague. Basically, we get to watch
- 44:46Speaker 1: Hannah in military bootcamp and I'm really excited to see
- 44:52Speaker 1: her like survive this. She will be joined by Beverly Mitchell,
- 44:57Speaker 1: Jamie Lynn Spears, Kenya Moore Melby from The Spice Girls,
- 45:02Speaker 1: Gus Kenworthy, Kate Goslin, Nastasia Luken, Drew Pinsky, Mike Piazza,
- 45:10Speaker 1: Montel Jordan's, Anthony Scarmucci, Dwight Howard, Carly Lloyd Tyler Florence,
- 45:18Speaker 1: and Danny Amendola. So it's a pretty all star reality
- 45:24Speaker 1: cast it is. I mean, we have Nacia Lucan obviously,
- 45:28Speaker 1: the gymnast Jimmie Lynn spears on there. I Kate Goslin
- 45:34Speaker 1: continues to pop up. It's wild to me. It feels
- 45:37Speaker 1: like I was a child when I was watching her
- 45:39Speaker 1: show You Were, and I was so small, and she's
- 45:42Speaker 1: still there. Dwight Howard, Um, I mean, this is this
- 45:46Speaker 1: is gonna be an awesome show, all of these people competing,
- 45:52Speaker 1: uh in things that they're not trained necessarily to do.
- 45:55Speaker 1: I do, though, I feel like Nasty Luken and gus
- 45:59Speaker 1: Kins were they have an upper hand on this, um
- 46:02Speaker 1: because they're ates. Yeah, I mean obviously Dwight Howard is
- 46:06Speaker 1: as well, but he's also seven foot tall, Like how
- 46:08Speaker 1: does how does the seven foot or you know hold
- 46:10Speaker 1: himself up? I'm sure like doing eight pull ups? So
- 46:14Speaker 1: there are Danny A. Mendola fresh out the NFL, Like
- 46:18Speaker 1: there's some people that would pick favorites if Draft Kings,
- 46:21Speaker 1: you know, was was betting on this. Anyways, it's gonna
- 46:24Speaker 1: be special Forces. Hannah Brown says, it's gonna show her
- 46:26Speaker 1: in a different light. I'm sure it will. I mean
- 46:28Speaker 1: she's not dating, she's not kissing. Uh, she's competing, and
- 46:31Speaker 1: she's putting her body and mind through rigorous tests. So
- 46:35Speaker 1: we'll obviously see her in a different light, and I'm
- 46:38Speaker 1: excited to do it. Well, Ashley, our off season is
- 46:42Speaker 1: coming to an end. Uh, we just have a few
- 46:45Speaker 1: weeks left of the off season here between The Bachelor
- 46:50Speaker 1: and Zach's upcoming season of the Bachelor. Obviously, now we're
- 46:53Speaker 1: gonna start introducing the cast. We're gonna start uh talking
- 46:56Speaker 1: about the rumors circling around the show. Um, and then
- 47:00Speaker 1: we're gonna get into this show, uh, the next season
- 47:03Speaker 1: of the Bachelor. And so we're excited for all your
- 47:06Speaker 1: listeners to be joining us. Zach season of the Bachelor begins. Uh.
- 47:13Speaker 1: We've talked about it before, Ashley, I'll say it again.
- 47:16Speaker 1: I am hesitant to get super excited about this season.
- 47:20Speaker 1: I will be watching, we will be breaking it down.
- 47:23Speaker 1: I'm not going to be critical. I've been critical in
- 47:25Speaker 1: the past, and it doesn't help me enjoy the show anymore.
- 47:28Speaker 1: So I'm gonna go into it with an open mind.
- 47:30Speaker 1: I am hesitant, though, um to dive head first into
- 47:34Speaker 1: this season. I we want a good season. We need
- 47:37Speaker 1: a good Bachelor's season. I wish I felt more confident.
- 47:44Speaker 1: I just wish I felt more confident that this will
- 47:46Speaker 1: be it like. But we've been surprised before. I would
- 47:51Speaker 1: actually say I was surprised during hand Brown season. I
- 47:53Speaker 1: did not think that was gonna be a good season,
- 47:55Speaker 1: and then it became one of the best seasons of
- 48:00Speaker 1: all time. So I am going to be optimistic. Uh,
- 48:06Speaker 1: And I am excited to walk this journey with you,
- 48:09Speaker 1: Ashley and with all of the listeners out there, so
- 48:12Speaker 1: continue to tune in. We're not going anywhere. We'll be here.
- 48:16Speaker 1: We will be here as long as the Bachelor's here.
- 48:18Speaker 1: We are here, So thank you so much. And until
- 48:22Speaker 1: next week. I've been Ashley, and I've been been follow
