- 0:34Speaker 2: I need the energy to pick up over there? All right?
- 0:38Speaker 3: That was I thought my YO was fine.
- 0:40Speaker 2: Do it again? One two three? Oh yeah the waterfall?
- 0:45Speaker 2: You take.
- 0:47Speaker 3: Colt me down again?
- 0:48Speaker 2: Three two one, yeah, Okay, you're good. You sucked. Come on,
- 0:54Speaker 2: more energy?
- 0:57Speaker 4: You know what good point if nobody has energy. If
- 0:59Speaker 4: somebody doesn't have energy in the morning, it's usually you.
- 1:02Speaker 2: That's what's what? What are you drinking? Red bull?
- 1:06Speaker 5: Man?
- 1:06Speaker 2: I'm gonna go move. I am in a great mood.
- 1:08Speaker 5: I think I think your body is just used to
- 1:10Speaker 5: red Bull. I think we need to set Yeah, should
- 1:14Speaker 5: we go? Celsius Monster.
- 1:16Speaker 4: It was two for five yesterday, it was two for five.
- 1:20Speaker 4: I had to get one for yesterday one for today deal.
- 1:24Speaker 4: That's the see what it is. It is a sugar
- 1:27Speaker 4: free you know, try to be a respect the body.
- 1:32Speaker 4: Try how many milligrams we're going with caffeine in there?
- 1:36Speaker 3: He was like, do something.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Thirty. I don't know.
- 1:44Speaker 3: Let's see Google.
- 1:47Speaker 6: Pretty sure there's one out there that has like three
- 1:49Speaker 6: hundred and eighty milligrams caffeine. Yes, and I think the
- 1:54Speaker 6: the recommended like absolute top line limits like four hundred
- 1:58Speaker 6: milligrams a day.
- 1:59Speaker 2: Oh a day, I think so, Oh I sore. You're
- 2:03Speaker 2: right there. I wish very four.
- 2:06Speaker 6: Hundred probably around like like two picks cups of coffee, right,
- 2:10Speaker 6: you just whispering the wind, see.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Holler at you boy? All right? I mean, come on,
- 2:18Speaker 2: I drink four cups of coffee here seven to ten?
- 2:21Speaker 6: Yeah I can. I can't drink a cup of coffee
- 2:25Speaker 6: at nine thirty at night? Yeah, and be asleep.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:28Speaker 7: Probably mean to that as well. Can we get to
- 2:30Speaker 7: my high with caffeine?
- 2:32Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 2:32Speaker 6: Actually we've actually been working on that for a while.
- 2:36Speaker 6: But well we have because I have a couple of
- 2:38Speaker 6: friends that every time I see them, are like, you
- 2:40Speaker 6: got it?
- 2:40Speaker 2: You got it? You got it?
- 2:42Speaker 8: Do you?
- 2:43Speaker 2: I don't got it? Well do you have it?
- 2:45Speaker 6: So like our big push isn't like really like retail
- 2:48Speaker 6: that's where it would do.
- 2:49Speaker 5: Really, I don't care about you making money doing it
- 2:52Speaker 5: for your friends. Yeah, for us, that's true.
- 2:54Speaker 2: I mean screw the business side. Yeah, are you fox
- 2:58Speaker 2: old or not? I think you know that you were in.
- 3:03Speaker 2: You said multiple times you're all in. I mean I can.
- 3:06Speaker 6: I can go to my office right now, get in
- 3:09Speaker 6: the lab, make you one, and just bring it in
- 3:13Speaker 6: a bucket tomorrow.
- 3:15Speaker 5: Okay, I'm waiting for the native wooden spoon. But you're
- 3:20Speaker 5: the one making it, are you? Are you certified to
- 3:23Speaker 5: do that? I mean you're a certificates.
- 3:28Speaker 6: What do you mean, well, chemist makes it like the
- 3:30Speaker 6: originates it, but anyone getting like blended?
- 3:32Speaker 2: Okay, well you have the recipe. Well no, that's what
- 3:34Speaker 2: I wanted to know if you could ever get in
- 3:35Speaker 2: that vault, you get that my high recipe. Yeah.
- 3:38Speaker 5: I didn't want you doing anything where it was going
- 3:41Speaker 5: into my body. If you were the one doing all
- 3:42Speaker 5: the figuring out.
- 3:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it's a big deal.
- 3:44Speaker 6: I mean, knowing that recipe, it's like coke, like not
- 3:47Speaker 6: everybody knows the full recipe.
- 3:49Speaker 2: A couple of.
- 3:50Speaker 6: Guys know a little piece over here, a couple of
- 3:51Speaker 6: guys know a little bit over there.
- 3:53Speaker 5: So basically basically you fire them once it's they get
- 3:57Speaker 5: close to figuring out the full recipe.
- 3:58Speaker 7: And that's why some know here know there it feels
- 4:02Speaker 7: like it.
- 4:03Speaker 6: I can't speak of this right now, why because I
- 4:06Speaker 6: need people to come work for you so I can
- 4:08Speaker 6: fire them after they know it.
- 4:10Speaker 5: It feels like something you really do. It does feel
- 4:13Speaker 5: like something you really do. Tata laid out the show
- 4:16Speaker 5: very excited. We're gonna have Ross Jackson join us, talk
- 4:19Speaker 5: a little New Orleans Saints coming up in twenty five minutes.
- 4:23Speaker 5: We do have Jay Johnson, else you had baseball coach.
- 4:26Speaker 5: We've got Mikey Matzuk joining us at nine. Of course
- 4:29Speaker 5: we've got chef Michael Johnson as well. We got a lot,
- 4:33Speaker 5: a lot to get to excited to catch up with
- 4:35Speaker 5: coach Jay Johnson, though, I mean a lot of questions
- 4:38Speaker 5: certainly that want to ask about last week and then
- 4:41Speaker 5: this week heading into this West Virginia Super Regional. But
- 4:45Speaker 5: before we get into it, let's go ahead and get
- 4:47Speaker 5: it started. Goflowiv dot com is the website. Summer is here,
- 4:54Speaker 5: and we all know Louisiana heat is no joke. We
- 4:57Speaker 5: know what that means. We know what you need to
- 4:59Speaker 5: be which is hydrated. So go hang out, go sit there.
- 5:03Speaker 5: I mean it's actually like very relaxing as well, Flynn,
- 5:06Speaker 5: and look in our lives, we'll take a good or
- 5:09Speaker 5: relaxing sit down where we're going to feel better because
- 5:13Speaker 5: of it as well. It is right there on Jefferson
- 5:15Speaker 5: near Bocaje Go flowiv dot com.
- 5:18Speaker 6: Yeah, and you know if I'm if I'm talking about
- 5:21Speaker 6: a place to go to get hydrated, you know it's
- 5:23Speaker 6: real because I spent like the last ten years of
- 5:25Speaker 6: my life like focusing on hydration. Right, Yeah, So go
- 5:29Speaker 6: see them, Go see today, get your hydrated, get some
- 5:31Speaker 6: get some vitamins. There's different things they can put in
- 5:33Speaker 6: there to make you feel better if you're feeling a
- 5:34Speaker 6: little under the weather. So book your pointing today called
- 5:37Speaker 6: nine five three eight one five zero or visit go
- 5:40Speaker 6: flow iv on the web.
- 5:42Speaker 5: All right, and we will dive into a little LSU baseball,
- 5:46Speaker 5: and before we get into like the nitty gritty, because look,
- 5:48Speaker 5: we're gonna have the head coach on coming up in
- 5:51Speaker 5: our number two. We're gonna have Mikey Matuk who played
- 5:54Speaker 5: and won a college World Series title, played in the
- 5:56Speaker 5: big leagues, and so you know, going to lean on
- 5:59Speaker 5: them certainly to break it all down. But just from
- 6:02Speaker 5: a mindset, just from a we are hosting a super
- 6:07Speaker 5: regional West Virginia, the Big twelve regular season champ is
- 6:11Speaker 5: coming to town. I'm excited for the opportunity to see
- 6:15Speaker 5: how LSU responds because I felt like they responded incredibly
- 6:22Speaker 5: well to getting punched in the mouth on Sunday night
- 6:25Speaker 5: by Little.
- 6:25Speaker 7: Rock, and they got punched again to start.
- 6:28Speaker 2: The game on Monday.
- 6:30Speaker 5: And there's a lot of people out there as a narrative,
- 6:32Speaker 5: it's like, oh my gosh, look what you had to
- 6:33Speaker 5: do against Little Rock. But if we're being honest and
- 6:37Speaker 5: we're not just sitting there and saying, well, you're LSU,
- 6:39Speaker 5: you should win that game. Look across the country, Look
- 6:43Speaker 5: across the country. What happened in baseball? And you had
- 6:46Speaker 5: teams that went out there and were not afraid to
- 6:51Speaker 5: do whatever it took and to change their game and
- 6:53Speaker 5: play the best version of themselves. And look, we could go,
- 6:57Speaker 5: we could go to Nashville, we could see what right
- 6:59Speaker 5: state did they knock out the number one overall seed.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Columbia gets a win in Hattiesburg.
- 7:05Speaker 5: Saint Mary's got to win in Corvallis right against Oregon State.
- 7:09Speaker 5: We can go to Eugene where it was Arizona, but
- 7:12Speaker 5: remember Utah Valley beat Oregon who was the one seed.
- 7:16Speaker 5: We can go to Conway, South Carolina where East Carolina
- 7:19Speaker 5: was the three seed. We can go to Auburn, Alabama
- 7:22Speaker 5: where Stetson had some success. Look, we can pretty much
- 7:26Speaker 5: go to any regional that you want to. You look
- 7:29Speaker 5: at what happened in Athens, Like Oklahoma State is a
- 7:31Speaker 5: three seed, had some success, Murray State is a four seed.
- 7:35Speaker 5: In Oxford they advance and so now they're going to
- 7:38Speaker 5: be in a superregional. And then UTSA beat beat road Runners.
- 7:42Speaker 5: I mean they go win in Austin, Texas, and so
- 7:46Speaker 5: this is college baseball like things like that are going
- 7:48Speaker 5: to happen.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Can you respond?
- 7:51Speaker 5: And there's been times in elshu's history that they didn't
- 7:54Speaker 5: respond and they lost Stony Brook, Right, we all remember
- 7:57Speaker 5: twenty twelve. So like the fact that they did have
- 8:02Speaker 5: Little Rock come into town, put up football scores against
- 8:07Speaker 5: Dallas Baptist and Rhode Island, a team that was playing
- 8:11Speaker 5: whatever the best version of themselves was, and they found
- 8:14Speaker 5: a way. I am not going to like dock points
- 8:17Speaker 5: from you are confidence from you because that happened.
- 8:21Speaker 6: Yeah, it's I was listening to you go down that
- 8:24Speaker 6: list of all the sites, all the success these smaller
- 8:28Speaker 6: schools were having against the big boys, the powerhouses, the
- 8:32Speaker 6: guys you expect to see in supers every single year.
- 8:35Speaker 6: I was like, you know, normally, normally you see that
- 8:38Speaker 6: because there's a couple of schools that have some dogs
- 8:41Speaker 6: at pitcher right and they're gonna they're gonna pull pull
- 8:43Speaker 6: some games out when they just got some dudes pitching.
- 8:46Speaker 6: But it seemed like this year, just walk watching and
- 8:49Speaker 6: looking and listening to this list and seeing the scores
- 8:52Speaker 6: on the ticker, it's like this is spread out. There
- 8:55Speaker 6: is a ton of parody. And I know baseball is
- 8:58Speaker 6: a streaky sport and a team can get hot. You
- 9:02Speaker 6: mentioned the Stony Brook again, like team can get hot,
- 9:05Speaker 6: but seems pretty consistent all around the country. We were
- 9:08Speaker 6: seeing these teams come in and compete, and if they
- 9:12Speaker 6: didn't win it, they were certainly pushing people in scaring.
- 9:16Speaker 6: So if I'm Jay, and I mean I kind of
- 9:18Speaker 6: like to ask them it's coming off of this past weekend,
- 9:22Speaker 6: I would have to feel that Jay's job besides the
- 9:26Speaker 6: the I'm gonna say the exos that's not ex's and
- 9:28Speaker 6: o's in baseball, But besides like the strategy, game plan,
- 9:31Speaker 6: the line.
- 9:31Speaker 5: That actually talks in football terms a lot when it
- 9:34Speaker 5: comes to baseball.
- 9:35Speaker 2: Yeah, beautiful.
- 9:36Speaker 6: I would say, like I'm sitting there with Jay, if
- 9:39Speaker 6: you if your team is full of some dogs, like,
- 9:42Speaker 6: if you got a championship type of mentality, your job
- 9:47Speaker 6: is pretty easy from a motivational standpoint. We look at
- 9:49Speaker 6: it and I always kind of compare to the football
- 9:52Speaker 6: terms when you have that wake up call in the
- 9:55Speaker 6: middle of the season against a team you should beat
- 9:57Speaker 6: and they drive you to the to the edge, but
- 10:00Speaker 6: you somehow get to you somehow pull it out and
- 10:03Speaker 6: win at the end, Hey, you get that wake up
- 10:06Speaker 6: call with not having to have the loss on your mind.
- 10:08Speaker 6: So if you got some dogs on your team, they're like,
- 10:11Speaker 6: all right, we almost like we were one like spastic
- 10:15Speaker 6: pitcher away from going home right, being done right. So
- 10:20Speaker 6: I would think that the motivation is there. I would
- 10:23Speaker 6: think that these boys want to get back on the
- 10:24Speaker 6: field as fast as they can.
- 10:27Speaker 2: So got West Virginia coming in.
- 10:30Speaker 6: I'm not sure they are excited like you got a
- 10:32Speaker 6: big you got a big name on the hat, big
- 10:34Speaker 6: name on the jersey coming in yep. And I would
- 10:38Speaker 6: think from a motivational standpoint, those guys in the locker
- 10:40Speaker 6: room are looking at each other motivating themselves after something
- 10:43Speaker 6: like that.
- 10:44Speaker 2: It shouldn't take a lot.
- 10:45Speaker 5: I mean, this is a big twelve regular season champ
- 10:48Speaker 5: as a team that was forty four and fourteen, nineteen
- 10:50Speaker 5: to nine in conference play. You saw what they just
- 10:53Speaker 5: did in Clemson South Carolina, right, They take care of
- 10:56Speaker 5: Kentucky after being down. It was one of the better
- 10:58Speaker 5: games of the opening day in postseason play, they come back,
- 11:03Speaker 5: they beat Kentucky four to three. They go beat Clemson
- 11:06Speaker 5: in their own ballpark nine to six, and then it
- 11:09Speaker 5: was a high scoring affair. They take care of Kentucky
- 11:12Speaker 5: and game number six did not force the game number seven.
- 11:16Speaker 2: Thirteen to twelve.
- 11:19Speaker 5: And we talked about it, and always want to throw
- 11:22Speaker 5: this point back up there. Alandra and Tata talked about
- 11:25Speaker 5: West Virginia and it was one team they did not
- 11:28Speaker 5: want to face. So I'm gonna put you on spot
- 11:31Speaker 5: a little bit here. What was the one thing that
- 11:35Speaker 5: made y'all feel like okay? Out of Clemson out of Kentucky,
- 11:39Speaker 5: all these teams that are in the Clemson Regional, this
- 11:41Speaker 5: is the one that actually you hope you don't see.
- 11:44Speaker 2: Well.
- 11:44Speaker 4: For me, it was a combination of pitching and hitting.
- 11:46Speaker 4: Like we talked about it yesterday. Damn near three hundred
- 11:49Speaker 4: batting average across the board. Now they don't need a
- 11:52Speaker 4: ton of home runs, but they can hit for average.
- 11:56Speaker 4: Their team ERA is four point three, so they've been
- 11:59Speaker 4: solid on both And everyone's going to point out, like
- 12:01Speaker 4: I mentioned yesterday, twenty four and five on the road,
- 12:04Speaker 4: Everyone's going to point out they played a lot of
- 12:06Speaker 4: February games on the road against some not very good teams.
- 12:09Speaker 2: They did, but take competition out of it.
- 12:12Speaker 4: They still know how to win away from their home ballpark,
- 12:15Speaker 4: which is what they did in Clemson. Like this team,
- 12:17Speaker 4: I'm just a bit impressed with what they've done. I mean,
- 12:19Speaker 4: we talked about Griffin Kern yesterday and like his era
- 12:22Speaker 4: doesn't blow you away, but one hundred k's to twenty
- 12:25Speaker 4: nine walks, Like they're just super consistent across the board.
- 12:31Speaker 2: Who's the most famous person from West.
- 12:32Speaker 3: Virginia, like from the school or the state the state?
- 12:37Speaker 2: Nick Saban? Who else is from nobody else.
- 12:42Speaker 5: Uh huh, all right, we're gonna go through. Yeah, jimbo Fisher, Sure,
- 12:46Speaker 5: Jim Fisher.
- 12:47Speaker 6: So Taylor, So you're thinking West Virginia wins this weekend,
- 12:53Speaker 6: I didn't say that.
- 12:54Speaker 2: I want to know. I want to know right here.
- 12:57Speaker 2: I don't.
- 12:58Speaker 3: I think ELSU gets it done.
- 12:59Speaker 2: But how many games?
- 13:00Speaker 4: I think it goes three?
- 13:04Speaker 3: I think West Virginia wins at least.
- 13:05Speaker 2: One game, which one second? First? No, see, I don't
- 13:09Speaker 2: think when you bad jud you like that.
- 13:11Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm not trying to.
- 13:12Speaker 2: I'm just trying to hold on. I want to come
- 13:15Speaker 2: back next Monday.
- 13:16Speaker 5: Yeah, able to ridicule y'all were all wrong.
- 13:19Speaker 2: You're all wrong.
- 13:21Speaker 5: Quick Google search tells me Nick Savian is not the
- 13:23Speaker 5: most famous person from West Virginia is an entertainer.
- 13:26Speaker 2: It's an actress whoa an actress from what.
- 13:30Speaker 5: It was, who was once married to another very famous actor.
- 13:35Speaker 2: There's so many of those. I mean, I don't have
- 13:37Speaker 2: a guess.
- 13:38Speaker 6: Ah, Demmie Moore, I don't know why, but I was
- 13:44Speaker 6: gonna no way we are.
- 13:51Speaker 5: No, it's not even more Alandra, I want to take yes,
- 13:55Speaker 5: her husband a time frame of her husband very Boston.
- 14:02Speaker 3: Okay, So who was married to Mark Wahlberg. Is that
- 14:06Speaker 3: Damon ben Affleck.
- 14:08Speaker 5: Jennifer Jennifer Garner. She is the most famous person from
- 14:14Speaker 5: West Virginia. Notable runner ups Jerry West of course the
- 14:19Speaker 5: logo n b A don knotts.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Would Randy Moss?
- 14:30Speaker 5: Okay, oh yeah, white Chocolate j Jason Williams and Brad Paisley.
- 14:38Speaker 4: Doesn't that West Virginia though, they kind of kind of
- 14:42Speaker 4: got a little bit category.
- 14:44Speaker 5: I mean, how is white chocolate not higher up on
- 14:46Speaker 5: this list? I want to know they watched his mixtape?
- 14:50Speaker 2: Do y'all think have great? It's mix tape which they
- 15:00Speaker 2: has the like the the least amount of Alaska has.
- 15:04Speaker 2: All right, let's go there. Now, you're just saying, hey,
- 15:08Speaker 2: you don't count. No, I'm not saying that just because
- 15:11Speaker 2: you're dapping up Russia.
- 15:12Speaker 6: You don't count when that ice bridge freezes over Idaho, Idaho.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Yeah, West Virginia's got to be up there.
- 15:20Speaker 6: I feel if you're Jennifer Barner, celebrity, the all State chick,
- 15:26Speaker 6: you're telling her, I.
- 15:29Speaker 7: Don't think you say chicken the Year of Our Lord
- 15:30Speaker 7: twenty twenty five.
- 15:32Speaker 2: I can't. Oh, I don't know.
- 15:35Speaker 3: Okay, Wait so confused. Something's going on in the chat
- 15:40Speaker 3: right now? Do you remember last night t Bob texted
- 15:43Speaker 3: the OTB group chat he said something about like a
- 15:46Speaker 3: Landra if that was you?
- 15:47Speaker 2: And ute? Yeah? What was?
- 15:48Speaker 3: I'm so I don't know. I'm confused because they're asking
- 15:51Speaker 3: about it Barner group chat like Blake Miller the or
- 15:55Speaker 3: in the YouTube chat goes Landra, would you like to
- 15:58Speaker 3: tell the class what you said in the snout's calm it?
- 16:00Speaker 3: And then they said, uh, that snap's comment was wild
- 16:04Speaker 3: o L And I have no idea. I did not
- 16:08Speaker 3: say that. That is crazy.
- 16:11Speaker 2: Somebody, wait a minute, Bob's still doing snaps. Yeah, I
- 16:14Speaker 2: did see that. That dude's been gone from here for
- 16:16Speaker 2: a moment. Weeks, three weeks, and.
- 16:21Speaker 3: I'm so confised. I will say, I don't watch snaps
- 16:26Speaker 3: like at all, so I'm.
- 16:29Speaker 2: Usually on there.
- 16:30Speaker 3: I don't watch that, so I didn't comment that. But
- 16:32Speaker 3: that was crazy.
- 16:33Speaker 7: I don't know what the comment was.
- 16:36Speaker 3: It's an insane com.
- 16:37Speaker 2: Okay, all right? And his comment.
- 16:43Speaker 4: Talking about the headache yesterday from no caffeine? Have you
- 16:46Speaker 4: blocked out?
- 16:48Speaker 2: Do that crazy? I'll ever accidentally hit that microphone button
- 16:51Speaker 2: on your text?
- 16:53Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 16:53Speaker 2: It catches everything. You say that all the time all
- 16:56Speaker 2: the time.
- 16:57Speaker 6: No, I was not like you slowly, very carefully move
- 17:01Speaker 6: my finger to the X button so it doesn't send.
- 17:03Speaker 2: I'm like, all right, all right, don't slip, you're shaking it.
- 17:06Speaker 6: Yeah, that X, like the exit out button is way
- 17:09Speaker 6: too it's uncomfortably close to the send button.
- 17:12Speaker 5: I do love some of my friends are voice textures, though, like.
- 17:18Speaker 2: When they don't say they are they.
- 17:20Speaker 5: I don't know if they don't want like the messages
- 17:21Speaker 5: out there younger than the six things.
- 17:24Speaker 2: Yeah. Wow. The only people I know that voice text
- 17:28Speaker 2: are hello.
- 17:31Speaker 5: I mean, I actually do kind of love it. I
- 17:32Speaker 5: do kind of love a voice text. I don't do
- 17:35Speaker 5: it ever unless I'm talking to certain people who do
- 17:37Speaker 5: it first. But I do love a good voice text.
- 17:40Speaker 6: You mean like voice as in you speaking to it
- 17:42Speaker 6: and then your your voice is what they hear or
- 17:44Speaker 6: you speaking.
- 17:45Speaker 2: To it and it writes it. No, no, no, your voice
- 17:47Speaker 2: is what they are.
- 17:47Speaker 6: Okay, all right, that's that's a little bit more understandable.
- 17:51Speaker 6: I get that.
- 17:52Speaker 7: But it's the talk to text you're talking about.
- 17:55Speaker 2: The talk to text.
- 17:56Speaker 4: As you can tell too, there's like no punctuation like
- 17:59Speaker 4: one it's bad.
- 18:00Speaker 2: It's bad, especially when you're a redneck.
- 18:03Speaker 7: It's real bad. Like that is not what I said, clearly.
- 18:07Speaker 2: It is motoring yourself a redneck. SI you thinks I am.
- 18:13Speaker 2: I don't think so. You kind of wear skinny jeans sometimes.
- 18:16Speaker 7: That's just because I got a big button, big dies.
- 18:18Speaker 2: I don't think so. I got it big A lot
- 18:22Speaker 2: of money to look that type. Uh, the more money
- 18:27Speaker 2: for skinnier.
- 18:28Speaker 6: Jeans, I think so. I think so you gotta like, hey,
- 18:31Speaker 6: just call out what type of gene it is just
- 18:34Speaker 6: because you got a weak chin and baby Cakes doesn't matter.
- 18:37Speaker 2: Baby Cakes.
- 18:39Speaker 5: Most famous person from Idaho on the way out it
- 18:44Speaker 5: is a actor, and I will say that he is
- 18:50Speaker 5: most famous for a show that involves a lot of drugs.
- 18:56Speaker 2: There's so many shows.
- 19:00Speaker 3: Are the Jesse Pinkman or whatever?
- 19:02Speaker 2: You're pretty close?
- 19:05Speaker 4: Well, I mean Brian Cristenson forget.
- 19:07Speaker 2: Yeah, Breaking Bad? Yeah? Pretty close? Is that the show?
- 19:11Speaker 3: No, m that's crazy. Nobody's believing me that I didn't
- 19:15Speaker 3: say this. But I did not say.
- 19:16Speaker 5: This, Taylor, You're very close. Aaron Paul from Breaking Bad's.
- 19:24Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, I forgot his name.
- 19:29Speaker 2: He's the most famous guy from Idaho.
- 19:31Speaker 5: Yeah, which I actually want to protest because Jake the
- 19:37Speaker 5: Snake plumbers from Idaho.
- 19:38Speaker 2: Yeah there.
- 19:41Speaker 4: I bet New Mexico has an awful celebrity list.
- 19:44Speaker 6: Website because Saban wasn't even on your West Virginia website.
- 19:48Speaker 5: All right, well, I mean we we here know that
- 19:52Speaker 5: coach Nick Saban's very, very famous, but you know, is
- 19:55Speaker 5: he more famous than Jennifer Garner?
- 19:57Speaker 4: If you go on the street, though, people are gonn
- 20:00Speaker 4: no Saban over freaking don not.
- 20:02Speaker 6: Yeah, it's like two on that list. I think Jennifer
- 20:05Speaker 6: Garner maybe fifteen years ago.
- 20:08Speaker 7: Whole question of the day, who's more famous Nick Saban
- 20:13Speaker 7: or Jennifer Garner.
- 20:15Speaker 2: I think it's a no brainer. I'm not arguing in
- 20:18Speaker 2: my opinion. I mean, I love coach.
- 20:20Speaker 6: That's a great question, though, because you kind of got
- 20:23Speaker 6: like an obscure.
- 20:24Speaker 2: Like B list actress B list, like the top top,
- 20:30Speaker 2: top tier.
- 20:30Speaker 5: All right, Well, I gotta take a break because I
- 20:35Speaker 5: still need to figure out what Elandra said in the Snaps.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Comment section yesterday.
- 20:40Speaker 5: And I'm also a little thrown off that T Bob's
- 20:42Speaker 5: still doing snaps even though he's been gone from here

- 20:45Speaker 2: Week and Jim Rome right and Jim Rome.

- 22:47Speaker 3: I told you all about these.
- 22:50Speaker 2: Oh, we would never say that about ourselves. I love gold.

- 23:06Speaker 5: the way that we would talk about ourselves and each other.
- 23:10Speaker 2: Slappy one, slappy two.
- 23:14Speaker 5: Oh my gosh, that got me.
- 23:17Speaker 2: I wasn't ready for that.
- 23:19Speaker 6: I would kind of like, uh, off the bench where
- 23:24Speaker 6: mister two star and honorable mention.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Honorable mention quarterback in a fourteen with super dramatic music
- 23:35Speaker 2: and background. Oh that mm hmm. To the corporate old.
- 23:43Speaker 5: Let's look at the College Baseball National Championship A pivot.
- 23:50Speaker 2: I was thinking about TLC right there.
- 23:53Speaker 7: And did you know that every Thursday here on the show,
- 23:58Speaker 7: it's R and B Thursday.
- 23:59Speaker 2: I don't, but I'm excited about it. Yeah, I can
- 24:02Speaker 2: tell you that.
- 24:02Speaker 5: Yeah, it's gonna be a lot of songs that you
- 24:04Speaker 5: probably went to Napster or LimeWire, downloaded.
- 24:10Speaker 2: Through and probably for even that time that the song
- 24:14Speaker 2: that song was. But it's gonna be a lot of
- 24:16Speaker 2: songs that you did that too. This is like going
- 24:19Speaker 2: to the CD shop and behind a single.
- 24:21Speaker 5: Yeah, Like when when I interviewed Usher, I thanked him
- 24:23Speaker 5: for his service for what he did for me in
- 24:25Speaker 5: middle school and high school.
- 24:27Speaker 2: You're becoming a man. Yeah, so you can hear a
- 24:30Speaker 2: lot of that today. Can I request the Tony Rich project?
- 24:35Speaker 2: Nobody knows because nobody knows it but me.
- 24:38Speaker 7: Yeah, Yeah, that's gonna be That's why I'm coming back.
- 24:41Speaker 6: I think that was probably like fifth or sixth grade
- 24:45Speaker 6: for me, and at the time I thought it was
- 24:48Speaker 6: the most perfect song ever created. I had the single.
- 24:52Speaker 6: I can't remember if it was a tape or a tape. Yeah,
- 24:57Speaker 6: those little cases for those tapes are sweet. When I
- 24:59Speaker 6: think that as a sleeve, it went a sleeve, it
- 25:02Speaker 6: was like the little plastic thing that not the singles,
- 25:04Speaker 6: the singles.
- 25:05Speaker 5: If it was a like an album, it was the
- 25:08Speaker 5: one that opened up with plastic. If it was just
- 25:12Speaker 5: a single. It would come in a sleeve with some
- 25:15Speaker 5: plastic over, you know, just normal plastic.
- 25:17Speaker 6: You open up our little tapes, like the tape would
- 25:20Speaker 6: like sag down and.
- 25:21Speaker 7: You have to put our pencil and my you know,
- 25:24Speaker 7: my finger didn't fit in there.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Yeah, mild case of giants disease. Yeah, I do all right.
- 25:31Speaker 5: National Championship Baseball Sports LSU does have the best odds
- 25:38Speaker 5: to win the National Championship. LSU comes in at five
- 25:43Speaker 5: to two Arkansas four to one, followed by Tennessee at
- 25:48Speaker 5: five to one, North Carolina at seven to one. You've
- 25:52Speaker 5: got Alburn and Oregon State at ten to one, Florida
- 25:56Speaker 5: State at twelve to one, Coastal Carolina at fourteen to one.
- 26:00Speaker 5: And if I was to make a bet, because you
- 26:02Speaker 5: know me, I like like the long odds. I don't
- 26:04Speaker 5: really ever play the favorites. I want like, you know,
- 26:09Speaker 5: and juice. I want some juice, but also like ten
- 26:13Speaker 5: thousand something like that, you know me.
- 26:16Speaker 2: Coastal Carolina at fourteen to one.
- 26:19Speaker 5: Verty nice looking at that one UCLA sixteen.
- 26:23Speaker 2: I want to take a look at that one. You
- 26:25Speaker 2: might want to hold onto that one.
- 26:26Speaker 5: Duke eighteen to one, Louisville twenty five to one, UTSA
- 26:30Speaker 5: thirty three to one, Arizona at thirty five to one.
- 26:33Speaker 2: Oh take them thirty five to one, a team that
- 26:36Speaker 2: just rolled through and is uber hydrated.
- 26:39Speaker 5: The Hugene Regional, Miami thirty five to one, West Virginia
- 26:44Speaker 5: fifty to one, and let's choose opponent. And then Murray
- 26:47Speaker 5: State won twenty five to one. The ten bucks on
- 26:52Speaker 5: Murray State, you're getting twelve fifty.
- 26:55Speaker 2: That's those kind of odds that I'm talking about.
- 26:57Speaker 6: Yeah, never know, they get hot, Arizona's hydrated.
- 27:02Speaker 7: We found out West Virginia's hydrated.
- 27:05Speaker 2: Guess West Virginia.
- 27:06Speaker 6: That's good, like big odds because LSU's the favorite, but
- 27:10Speaker 6: that well, fifty five to one, so she said, fifty
- 27:12Speaker 6: to one, fifty to one.
- 27:14Speaker 5: If you're taking a look at these, like, if you
- 27:16Speaker 5: all right, if you don't want to play LSU and
- 27:18Speaker 5: you want a little bit of juice there, I think
- 27:22Speaker 5: North Carolina is a hell of a play at seven
- 27:24Speaker 5: to one.
- 27:24Speaker 7: With the way that they went through their regional.
- 27:27Speaker 5: I don't think Auburn has has what it takes to
- 27:29Speaker 5: go win a national championship.
- 27:31Speaker 2: A lot of people like them at ten to one.
- 27:32Speaker 5: I love Coastal at fourteen to one, and I look,
- 27:35Speaker 5: I throw a couple of shekels at Arizona at thirty
- 27:38Speaker 5: five to one.
- 27:41Speaker 2: Yeah for sure, I mean obviously els she's gonna win.
- 27:45Speaker 5: But look, you're betting, You're betting with feelings, you're betting
- 27:49Speaker 5: with emotion, a little hedge. Done it before, right, Oh,
- 27:52Speaker 5: no doubt. Every week you bet, I'll bet this team.
- 27:55Speaker 5: But if LSU wins, I basically paid for LSU to
- 27:59Speaker 5: win a national championship.
- 28:01Speaker 2: So you gotta look at it.
- 28:03Speaker 5: Which were worth it, which we'd all do, totally worth it,
- 28:06Speaker 5: every single one of us would do it.
- 28:07Speaker 6: It's kind of like throwing the reverse jinks because like,
- 28:10Speaker 6: none of my bets ever hit. Yeah, so if I
- 28:12Speaker 6: bet on everybody else, then we're guaranteed to win.
- 28:17Speaker 5: So so my afternoon show. A lot of times during
- 28:23Speaker 5: softball and baseball season, there'll be a game that starts
- 28:28Speaker 5: like an hour before us. It's like, okay, well, y'all
- 28:31Speaker 5: will pick it up right when that game ends. But
- 28:33Speaker 5: if this team wins, then there's no show today, and
- 28:35Speaker 5: you still get paid because you know you planned on
- 28:38Speaker 5: doing the show, and we get paid per show.
- 28:41Speaker 2: It's how it works.
- 28:42Speaker 5: So I it's an absolute we're like, oh and fourteen
- 28:48Speaker 5: in those situations and getting the day off, I mean,
- 28:52Speaker 5: oh for fourteen and me and each and the producers.
- 28:56Speaker 5: Next time it happens, we're like, why are we not
- 28:58Speaker 5: betting against this? So the next time that it happens,
- 29:02Speaker 5: there's gonna be a large wager on the team that
- 29:05Speaker 5: if they win, they forced another game, large one.
- 29:09Speaker 2: It's oh for forty. It's hard to do that and anything.
- 29:13Speaker 7: Yeah, I know, I'm sitting there thinking, like, man, that
- 29:17Speaker 7: afternoon off.
- 29:20Speaker 2: Show. Yeah, three hour.
- 29:21Speaker 6: Show, but sometimes it cuts down to like a thirty
- 29:23Speaker 6: minute show, right because of those games.
- 29:26Speaker 5: I mean, yeah, that's that's happened before. And when it
- 29:27Speaker 5: goes like rain delay, Yeah yeah, Raindow. I've done a
- 29:30Speaker 5: thirteen minute show before.
- 29:32Speaker 6: If I was you, I was your boss, I'd make
- 29:33Speaker 6: you do that whole three hours, even if you weren't
- 29:35Speaker 6: on air.
- 29:36Speaker 2: That's well, it's not how it works.
- 29:37Speaker 5: And certainly because like a lot of times after me,
- 29:39Speaker 5: Coach K has his show. I don't know why, but
- 29:43Speaker 5: Coach K is a little bit ahead of me in
- 29:44Speaker 5: the pecking order.
- 29:45Speaker 2: They bump you for Coach K. Yeah, amateurs, amateur hour. Dude,
- 29:50Speaker 2: are we doing Coach K?
- 29:52Speaker 5: But probably Hey, he's got the quarter named after him.
- 29:55Speaker 5: They're at Cameron and you don't have your high school
- 29:58Speaker 5: jersey retired.
- 29:58Speaker 6: Yeah, you can just say one letter and everybody in
- 30:01Speaker 6: the world knows who he is.
- 30:02Speaker 2: That's actually a really good point. You say coach K
- 30:05Speaker 2: and everybody knows what you're talking about. E J has
- 30:08Speaker 2: to take a seat. Yeah, got K coming in, So yeah,
- 30:13Speaker 2: he pushes us. I get it, all right, makes sense.
- 30:16Speaker 2: Not mad at it.
- 30:17Speaker 7: If it was like, you know, give me a really
- 30:20Speaker 7: bad basketball coach.
- 30:23Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know. You know that.
- 30:27Speaker 7: I almost said like four names and I know them personally.
- 30:29Speaker 2: Can't do that. Not great though, I can't do that.
- 30:34Speaker 2: I can't do that.
- 30:35Speaker 5: Yeah, But if it was that guy that almost said, yeah,
- 30:38Speaker 5: sure John, all right, how.
- 30:41Speaker 2: Did y'all do this year?
- 30:42Speaker 6: Like in baseball betting, I didn't bet based predictions.
- 30:46Speaker 2: Okay, predictions betting. I mean we've been pretty decent.
- 30:51Speaker 5: I mean in the SEC like I had l s U,
- 30:54Speaker 5: Arkansas and A and M. I bought into the A
- 31:00Speaker 5: and the hype just like everybody did. But those were
- 31:01Speaker 5: the three teams. I think that I had going the
- 31:04Speaker 5: farthest out of the SEC. Two are still alive, one
- 31:07Speaker 5: didn't make the tournament, So I feel like I definitely
- 31:09Speaker 5: need to get doctor major points from that.
- 31:12Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, two need to go deep. Yeah yeah, I
- 31:16Speaker 2: don't know.
- 31:17Speaker 5: I mean, Alandra, I don't remember you waxing poetic too
- 31:20Speaker 5: much about a team that just fell off the rails
- 31:24Speaker 5: this season.
- 31:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:26Speaker 3: I can't think of one where I was like, oh,
- 31:28Speaker 3: they're gonna be good. The only thing that like I
- 31:31Speaker 3: was kind of off about was the Texas thing, Like
- 31:34Speaker 3: I thought they were overrated, and honestly, they still might
- 31:37Speaker 3: be because they didn't even make it out their own regional.
- 31:40Speaker 5: But it's true. You were pretty Yeah, yeah, that's true.
- 31:44Speaker 5: It's actually a good one. You were pretty like, hey,
- 31:46Speaker 5: Texas is not as good as everybody says.
- 31:48Speaker 2: Yeah, that's actually a good one.
- 31:49Speaker 3: And I kind of still feel that's true. Like I
- 31:52Speaker 3: understand they had a good season and everything, but I
- 31:54Speaker 3: still kind of feel like that's true given that they
- 31:59Speaker 3: played all the easy teams on the road and their
- 32:03Speaker 3: home schedule was like the quote unquote tough one. And
- 32:07Speaker 3: then you go into the SEC like you're regular season champions,
- 32:11Speaker 3: but you go into the tournament, you don't make it
- 32:13Speaker 3: too far and then you get knocked out your own
- 32:16Speaker 3: regional by UTSA, by Little Brother. You know. Yeah, so
- 32:21Speaker 3: maybe I was like off, but maybe they're not as
- 32:24Speaker 3: overrated as I thought they were. But they didn't make
- 32:26Speaker 3: it further than LSU did. But I can't think of
- 32:31Speaker 3: a team that I was like, oh, they're super good
- 32:33Speaker 3: and then they weren't.
- 32:35Speaker 4: Yeah, nobody was like champion in this team, but I
- 32:40Speaker 4: think we all felt like Kentucky would be better than
- 32:43Speaker 4: they weren't. I mean none of us were like he's
- 32:45Speaker 4: gonna win the SEC.
- 32:46Speaker 2: Yeah, they made to help a run last year.
- 32:48Speaker 4: That was a thing that came into the season with hype.
- 32:50Speaker 2: I mean I guess outside of A and.
- 32:51Speaker 5: M, Yeah, after what they did last year, that's that's
- 32:53Speaker 5: another good team and because of the style of play
- 32:55Speaker 5: that they played, we think maybe they would be able
- 32:58Speaker 5: to continue on with that success. And look, they got
- 33:00Speaker 5: to the postseason by I mean just here and their
- 33:04Speaker 5: chinny chin chin. They got to the postseason and like
- 33:07Speaker 5: they had they got to the regional final series. Uh yeah,
- 33:10Speaker 5: Kentucky certainly one that we had a bigger, bigger not
- 33:13Speaker 5: hopes and that's in here rooting for Kentucky about we
- 33:15Speaker 5: thought that they would be a team that maybe had
- 33:17Speaker 5: a chance to get back to Omaha. Yeah.
- 33:20Speaker 6: What I just heard in this whole conversation was that
- 33:22Speaker 6: y'all don't have like a betting segment on this show.
- 33:26Speaker 2: We do here in football.
- 33:27Speaker 6: Yeah, betting is year round people.
- 33:32Speaker 7: I know it is, but there's some look and betting
- 33:35Speaker 7: college baseball is tough.
- 33:36Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm it was easy. Everybody would do.
- 33:39Speaker 4: It's like we well, for football, we do on Friday,
- 33:41Speaker 4: but like baseball, it's like do we pick game one?
- 33:43Speaker 2: Do we pick the series? Like it's a little bit,
- 33:45Speaker 2: a little bit more difficult, Gotta go some series props.
- 33:49Speaker 3: Then we should bet like who's gonna make it out
- 33:52Speaker 3: the supers like a super parlay.
- 33:54Speaker 5: Yeah we can, we can parlay that. Yeah, all right,
- 33:57Speaker 5: we gotta take a break. We've got Ross Shackson joining
- 33:59Speaker 5: us coming up here on OTV.
- 34:02Speaker 2: Off the Bench are good.
- 34:04Speaker 5: All Star Toyota batnar Ruge dot Com, All Star toyotafvaan
- 34:07Speaker 5: Rouge dot com is the website. Check it out, buying,
- 34:09Speaker 5: new leasing, renting. Everything is available and we say it
- 34:13Speaker 5: all the time. It's never a bad time to rent.
- 34:17Speaker 5: But we know right now is the perfect time for
- 34:19Speaker 5: those rentals because summer vacation coming up here. We are
- 34:23Speaker 5: June the fifth, right, so you probably got one coming
- 34:25Speaker 5: up this weekend. And if you haven't reserved your vehicle,
- 34:28Speaker 5: don't panic. That's okay because all you gotta just call
- 34:31Speaker 5: miss Lisa Sessions in the rental department, tell her what
- 34:34Speaker 5: you're looking for.
- 34:35Speaker 2: Tell her, hey, here's you know.

- 35:19Speaker 1: No, God knows. Tigers turn talkers. This is off the bench.
- 35:29Speaker 5: All right, Welcome back in Little R and B Thursday
- 35:33Speaker 5: Here on the OTB, I Guy Ross Jackson losing on
- 35:38Speaker 5: sports dot Net, joins us now talk a little New
- 35:42Speaker 5: Orleans Saints Ross always our pleasure.
- 35:44Speaker 9: How you doing, sir, hey Man doing great, doing great?
- 35:47Speaker 9: Glad to be here with you guys.
- 35:48Speaker 6: Uh.
- 35:48Speaker 5: So Derek Carr uh saved the Saints thirty million dollars
- 35:53Speaker 5: and he came out yesterday and was like, I just
- 35:55Speaker 5: didn't think it was right to, you know, take that
- 35:57Speaker 5: money and if I had surgery and not play, and
- 36:00Speaker 5: so it kind of came off like, Okay, maybe he
- 36:02Speaker 5: did the Saints a solid Ross. I mean, I don't
- 36:05Speaker 5: know that Saints fans are ever going to be a
- 36:07Speaker 5: fan of Derek Carr, but do we think maybe in
- 36:10Speaker 5: this one instance, it's like Okay, well, hey, thanks Bud.
- 36:13Speaker 2: We appreciate it.
- 36:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 36:15Speaker 9: Look, the way that I kind of look at this
- 36:16Speaker 9: story is, you know, I think the only person we're
- 36:19Speaker 9: ever going to hear anything from about why the thirty
- 36:21Speaker 9: million dollars actually went back is from Derek Carr. He's
- 36:25Speaker 9: the only personal ever you're talking about this. I think
- 36:27Speaker 9: that it's kind of been given to him as sort
- 36:29Speaker 9: of his thing, and so I don't know that a
- 36:32Speaker 9: lot of Saints fans are going to buy it right
- 36:34Speaker 9: off the bat, like thirty million dollars. Like I will
- 36:37Speaker 9: tell you one hundred percent, Derek Carr is very nice guy,
- 36:39Speaker 9: met him in the locker room, got talked to a
- 36:41Speaker 9: bunch of the course in two years, who's here, very
- 36:43Speaker 9: nice guy. But I don't know if anybody is thirty
- 36:45Speaker 9: million dollars nice. I think that's a very different conversation.
- 36:49Speaker 9: And so, uh and if there is anybody out there
- 36:52Speaker 9: that's thirty million dollars nice, I'm here and I'm listening, and.
- 36:57Speaker 8: So, you know, we gotta do.
- 36:58Speaker 9: We don't know exactly what always down behind the scenes
- 37:01Speaker 9: and everything like that, but like, look the things gave
- 37:03Speaker 9: him his ten million dollar roster bonus, he gave back
- 37:05Speaker 9: the thirty million dollar base galery, and then they moved
- 37:07Speaker 9: walk away as amicably as possible from all of this.
- 37:11Speaker 9: I think that's the thing that's most important is that
- 37:14Speaker 9: the team ends up utilizing that money in the best
- 37:18Speaker 9: way possible as they move forward in order to make themselves,
- 37:21Speaker 9: you know, back into contenders. And that's going to be
- 37:23Speaker 9: the biggest thank you. That's going to be a thank
- 37:25Speaker 9: you back to the fan base that says, hey, this
- 37:27Speaker 9: didn't work, but here's here's what's going to happen with
- 37:30Speaker 9: this money. I think that becomes the biggest thing for them,
- 37:32Speaker 9: and of course that's going to be the goal, right
- 37:34Speaker 9: and so they'll get that thirty million dollars back over
- 37:36Speaker 9: the course of the next two years, we'll see what
- 37:38Speaker 9: they're able to do with it in terms of rebuilding
- 37:40Speaker 9: the team.
- 37:41Speaker 2: Ross.
- 37:42Speaker 5: There's one player and you actually highlighted this player during
- 37:45Speaker 5: you know OTAs that I want to ask you about
- 37:48Speaker 5: because when he signed his new deal with the Saints,
- 37:51Speaker 5: there's a lot of people questioning how much money it
- 37:54Speaker 5: was compared to what the production was. But we kind
- 37:56Speaker 5: of forgot about it because, as you well know, because
- 38:00Speaker 5: you got to write about it. This has not been
- 38:02Speaker 5: a quiet all season for the New Orleans Saints. I
- 38:04Speaker 5: mean it has been something that we have been able
- 38:06Speaker 5: to come here every single day almost and have like
- 38:08Speaker 5: some new news. But that player would be Chase Young
- 38:13Speaker 5: coming off the edge for the New Orleans Saints. It's
- 38:15Speaker 5: a position where a lot of people Ross thought maybe
- 38:17Speaker 5: they'd select somebody in the draft and use one of
- 38:21Speaker 5: their top picks perhaps if the right guy was there.
- 38:23Speaker 5: They don't, And now you've got a guy that you're look,
- 38:26Speaker 5: it's a pretty good salary for the production you had
- 38:29Speaker 5: from a year ago. What are you expecting from Chase Young,
- 38:32Speaker 5: your number two in New Orleans?
- 38:34Speaker 9: Yeah, I mean he's going to be a featured role
- 38:36Speaker 9: in this New Brandon's daily defense. When you turn around
- 38:38Speaker 9: and make your I mean he was their biggest investment, right,
- 38:41Speaker 9: I mean, the big, biggest monetary investment. You know, you
- 38:43Speaker 9: can make the argument that a first round pick at
- 38:45Speaker 9: the big investment as well. That's not percent correct, But
- 38:48Speaker 9: in terms of the biggest monetary investment that this team
- 38:50Speaker 9: made three years, fifty one million dollars with intensives that
- 38:53Speaker 9: can take it up to fifty seven million dollars over
- 38:55Speaker 9: it still the lifespan. That's a big investment from this
- 38:58Speaker 9: New Orleans Saints team. And they bring him back because
- 39:01Speaker 9: he was one of the most disruptive players last season
- 39:03Speaker 9: at his position, number six in the NFL according to
- 39:07Speaker 9: NextGen Stats when it comes to pressures with seventy three.
- 39:10Speaker 9: The issue is that didn't finish play successfully at the quarterback,
- 39:13Speaker 9: only walked away with five and a half sticks, and
- 39:15Speaker 9: so you'd like to see that number tick up. But
- 39:18Speaker 9: I do think that this Brandon Stately defense, which is
- 39:21Speaker 9: going to deploy him as more of a stand up
- 39:24Speaker 9: pen you ears back and be an edge rusher, get
- 39:26Speaker 9: after the quarterback style player, I think that's going to
- 39:29Speaker 9: fit Chase Young very well. My understanding is that he's
- 39:32Speaker 9: down in terms of weight as well, playing around to
- 39:35Speaker 9: sixty to sixty five, and so they're letting him be light,
- 39:38Speaker 9: They're letting them be free. They're letting him use his
- 39:40Speaker 9: speed and athleticism to get after the quarterback, which are
- 39:44Speaker 9: more so parts of his trademark. And so I think
- 39:46Speaker 9: that he fits pretty well with what it is that
- 39:48Speaker 9: the Saint's new vision is, and so much that guys
- 39:52Speaker 9: like him and Carl Granderson, who's also slimmed down this offseason,
- 39:55Speaker 9: the things feel very comfortable moving ahead with him sort
- 39:58Speaker 9: of as the premiere focus as the pass rushers, and
- 40:01Speaker 9: those were two players that were within the top fifteen
- 40:04Speaker 9: last year in quarterback pressures. The next number that needs
- 40:07Speaker 9: to pick up is that sack production to make that
- 40:09Speaker 9: monetary investment, you know, fully.
- 40:11Speaker 2: Play off Ross. What's up, brother, This is Matt Flynn.
- 40:15Speaker 2: Good to get connected with you.
- 40:16Speaker 8: Man.
- 40:17Speaker 6: Look, we got like a full blown official quarterback competition,
- 40:21Speaker 6: so I'm going to be all over this with you.
- 40:24Speaker 6: So this is what I'm the most intrigued about as
- 40:27Speaker 6: well as everybody else. So just I guess from a
- 40:30Speaker 6: from a wide view perspective, being a practice right now,
- 40:33Speaker 6: what have you seen so far from both the young boys?
- 40:36Speaker 9: Yeah, first of all, congratulations, dude's super excited to have you,
- 40:39Speaker 9: like for you to be here and everything like that,
- 40:41Speaker 9: Like we we the Marketer, are very lucky for your
- 40:45Speaker 9: thanks and son. Yeah, I think that, like when you
- 40:47Speaker 9: look at the kind of battle that's going on with
- 40:50Speaker 9: to youst you guys, and look, it's a genuine quarterback battle.
- 40:53Speaker 9: I think it's more genuine than that Jamis Winston Taysom
- 40:55Speaker 9: Hill quarterback battle they had a few years ago that
- 40:57Speaker 9: felt like that was Jamis Winston's job the whole way through.
- 41:00Speaker 9: But this feels a little bit more like a genuine thing.
- 41:02Speaker 9: I think that what we're seeing so far is the
- 41:04Speaker 9: tale of two quarterbacks that can both make big plays.
- 41:09Speaker 9: But to me, the tale is that Sincer Ratler has
- 41:12Speaker 9: been a little bit more consistent while Tyler Shuck has
- 41:16Speaker 9: shown you the bigger place. And so the big question
- 41:19Speaker 9: now becomes which of those two things is most beneficial
- 41:24Speaker 9: for this time? And then where's the growth between now
- 41:27Speaker 9: and by the time that they hit a football field
- 41:29Speaker 9: in August in the preseason. And so I think that
- 41:32Speaker 9: whichever one of them takes the biggest or THEO shows
- 41:35Speaker 9: the greatest amount of growth between now and then, that's
- 41:38Speaker 9: going to be the guy that walks away. The thing
- 41:40Speaker 9: that I like to try to remind people of is
- 41:42Speaker 9: and as you know very well through both of you,
- 41:45Speaker 9: the game of football is not made up of sixty
- 41:47Speaker 9: yard plays. The sixty yard plays are big, but the
- 41:50Speaker 9: NFL game is made up of three to ten yard
- 41:53Speaker 9: games if you're lucky. And so the big thing for
- 41:56Speaker 9: me when you look at these two quarterbacks is which
- 41:58Speaker 9: one of them is going to consistently be to move
- 42:00Speaker 9: an offense with consistency and efficiency. The Saints and the
- 42:04Speaker 9: Eagles last year, just looking, you know, making the Kellen
- 42:06Speaker 9: Moore comparison were separated in twenty plus yard plays by
- 42:10Speaker 9: just two plays last season, but yet their end results
- 42:14Speaker 9: were wildly different from one another. One of the big
- 42:17Speaker 9: reasons why is the Eagles were more efficient. They ran
- 42:19Speaker 9: eighty two more plays, they scored one hundred more points,
- 42:22Speaker 9: they got more help from the other phases of the
- 42:24Speaker 9: game as well. And so I think that when you
- 42:26Speaker 9: look at which one of these quarterbacks would be the
- 42:28Speaker 9: quarterback that's to sport for me, consistency and efficiency, which
- 42:32Speaker 9: matches kind of the trademarks of Kellen Moore, are going
- 42:35Speaker 9: to be the most important thing. I'm not ready to
- 42:37Speaker 9: say that one is ahead of the other after just
- 42:39Speaker 9: a couple of OPA practices that we've seen so far,
- 42:41Speaker 9: but I think that we'll be able to get into
- 42:43Speaker 9: that conversation of growth a little bit more when these
- 42:45Speaker 9: two teams come or when these teams come back for training.
- 42:48Speaker 5: Gamp are there. He is got Ross Jackson. You know him,
- 42:52Speaker 5: You'll love him at. Ross Jackson NOLA is the handle
- 42:54Speaker 5: on social media. Check out his work on Louisiana Sports
- 42:58Speaker 5: dot Net. Also host of Lockdown Saints.
- 43:00Speaker 7: Ross.
- 43:00Speaker 5: We appreciate it every single time, man, look forward to
- 43:03Speaker 5: our next conversation.
- 43:05Speaker 9: Yeah, thanks, guys, appreciate you having on y'all. Take care
- 43:07Speaker 9: you here soon.
- 43:08Speaker 2: All right? Sounds good again.
- 43:10Speaker 5: Check out what Ross is doing big things man over
- 43:12Speaker 5: at Louisianasports dot Net does a fantastic job covering the
- 43:15Speaker 5: Saints every single day. All right, I do want to
- 43:18Speaker 5: talk a little Saints here throughout the show, certainly when
- 43:20Speaker 5: we come back here on OTV. Off the bench, all right,
- 43:25Speaker 5: As we tell you, man, there is not a bad
- 43:27Speaker 5: time to go for Dose to grab that ice cold
- 43:30Speaker 5: Dose Sekis.
- 43:31Speaker 2: It doesn't matter if it is in the stadium during
- 43:34Speaker 2: a game.
- 43:34Speaker 5: It doesn't matter if it's before you walk into the stadium,
- 43:37Speaker 5: at the tailgate. It doesn't matter if you're at the pool,
- 43:39Speaker 5: if you're at the lake, if you're at the beach,
- 43:41Speaker 5: if you want to shower beer. Those are popular, right,
- 43:44Speaker 5: They're delicious exactly. So, look, we are so fired up
- 43:48Speaker 5: to have Dose Sekis here on the team. And it
- 43:51Speaker 5: has been something that's really over the last couple of
- 43:55Speaker 5: times we've all gotten together. They've really taken care of us, man,
- 43:58Speaker 5: and they are great people and it has been a
- 44:00Speaker 5: great partnership. And trust me when I say, man, it
- 44:03Speaker 5: was gonna be hard for me to make a switch
- 44:05Speaker 5: from any Yeah, y'all know what it used to be.
- 44:07Speaker 6: But now it's full do oh And rightfully, so you
- 44:10Speaker 6: said there's no bad time. I know it's before eight
- 44:13Speaker 6: a m. Right now, but if you're head of the airport,
- 44:15Speaker 6: airport beers are always well. It doesn't matter what time.
- 44:19Speaker 6: You can get them anywhere. Go to your local store
- 44:21Speaker 6: and go for dose.
- 44:27Speaker 2: You fellers already do this.
- 44:32Speaker 1: From players to Legends, Paster and Flynn breakdown l s
- 44:35Speaker 1: U Football like only champions can.
- 44:39Speaker 2: The best part about that one is from players to legends.
- 44:43Speaker 2: That means you were not legends when you were players,
- 44:47Speaker 2: You know what I mean? That's fair, you know what
- 44:48Speaker 2: I mean?
- 44:49Speaker 4: Yeah, like you're a legend now, like you've only been
- 44:53Speaker 4: in radio four days and you're already a legends.
- 44:56Speaker 2: To that. A lot of times people aren't legends still
- 44:57Speaker 2: they're dead though, So we beat that. I guess that's fair.
- 45:02Speaker 3: Legends never die.
- 45:04Speaker 2: Legends never die. That's what they told.
- 45:06Speaker 5: Benny the Jetey the Jet, Rodriguez.
- 45:11Speaker 3: To the Clouds just stayed stealing home he did.
- 45:15Speaker 5: Coming up, we've got a big deal and no big
- 45:17Speaker 5: deal to kick off hour number two. We've got Jay
- 45:19Speaker 5: Johnson at eight thirty. We've got Mikey Matuk at nine.
- 45:21Speaker 5: We've got chef Michael Johnson at nine fifteen.
- 45:24Speaker 2: What a big show.
- 45:26Speaker 5: Do you forgive Derek Carr for how bad he was
- 45:30Speaker 5: now that he's giving back thirty MILLI do I yeah?
- 45:33Speaker 2: No, yeah, me neither you Landra No, No, I don't
- 45:36Speaker 2: forgive him because gonna get Derek.
- 45:40Speaker 4: That's that's why he could be the nicest guy in
- 45:42Speaker 4: the world. Maybe I'm an awful person. I ain't turn
- 45:44Speaker 4: it down thirty.
- 45:45Speaker 5: Look, if he turns down thirty million, I've actually got
- 45:47Speaker 5: more questions than before.
- 45:48Speaker 2: That's the most ridiculous. That's wild. Behave no way he
- 45:51Speaker 2: turned down thirty We'll be back our two OTV.
- 45:55Speaker 1: Off the bench right.
