Luna: ጃኬት ለብሻለሁ. Easy! Lucas: Now imagine you see a nice hat and want to compliment it. You can say: ይህ ባርኔጣ ያምራል — This hat is beautiful. Try it. Luna: ይህ ባርኔጣ ያምራል. I love that. I'd say that about your hat, Lucas. Lucas: Aww, thanks. But I'm not wearing one today. Anyway, let's practice a little scene. Suppose we're heading out and I ask you: ባርኔጣ ለብሻለሁ? Are you wearing a hat? Luna: I'd say: አዎ፣ ባርኔጣ ለብሻለሁ. Yes, I'm wearing a hat. Lucas: Perfect. And then you could ask me: ጃኬት ለብሻለህ? Are you wearing a jacket? Luna: ጃኬት ለብሻለህ? And I'd answer: አዎ፣ ጃኬት ለብሻለሁ. Lucas: You're a natural. Let's do a quick recall: how do you say hat? Luna: ባርኔጣ. Lucas: Jacket? Luna: ጃኬት. Lucas: And 'I'm wearing a hat'? Luna: ባርኔጣ ለብሻለሁ.
