- 0:20Speaker 2: out we've had no rain, very very very little rain
- 0:23Speaker 2: for a couple of weeks. And that's what whatever that
- 0:25Speaker 2: stuff is, the pollen, the dandard, whatever, it's all over
- 0:27Speaker 2: the place. So it did rain on Sunday. When it rains,
- 0:30Speaker 2: it kind of calms all that stuff down, So that
- 0:32Speaker 2: helped a little. Now we're having a couple of dry days.
- 0:35Speaker 2: It's gonna rain Wednesday or Thursday. But that'll be good.
- 0:39Speaker 2: It'll it gets rid of all that all that pollen.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Let's take some calls. Let's go to Duke Sarasota, Florida. Duke,
- 0:46Speaker 2: how you doing. Now, that's a great name. If I
- 0:51Speaker 2: if I had to pick a name, that's a pretty
- 0:53Speaker 2: cool name.
- 0:53Speaker 3: Duke.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Is that really your name?
- 0:56Speaker 4: You could borrow it? I mean you could use it,
- 0:58Speaker 4: do it, you know, breaking into show business?
- 1:02Speaker 2: Yeah, Duke, I like that tough, cool name.
- 1:06Speaker 4: Yeah, Hey, there was a congressman about thirteen years ago.
- 1:10Speaker 4: His intern was jogging one morning in Washington, d C.
- 1:14Speaker 4: And uh oh, yeah, it was murdered.
- 1:17Speaker 2: And the content was I forgot his name. Content was
- 1:19Speaker 2: it Gary Condent?
- 1:20Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, he was from California. And yeah, I wonder
- 1:24Speaker 4: if they were located the perpetrator of that.
- 1:28Speaker 2: No, I think it was. It was like right the
- 1:33Speaker 2: week before nine to eleven.
- 1:34Speaker 4: Right exactly, right, yeah.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Yeah, Well, because it was the biggest story in America.
- 1:41Speaker 2: This congressman was sleeping with his intern and she vanished
- 1:45Speaker 2: and what did they they you know, they found her
- 1:47Speaker 2: in the park, right yeah, yeah, so the biggest scandal ever.
- 1:53Speaker 2: I think the guy was innocent. I think he had
- 1:54Speaker 2: nothing to do with killing her, but it was the
- 1:56Speaker 2: biggest scandal. It was front page News twenty four sevens
- 1:59Speaker 2: all nobody's talking. He was. It was terrible to say,
- 2:02Speaker 2: but he was very He was so happy about nine
- 2:04Speaker 2: to eleven because the second that happened, he was never
- 2:07Speaker 2: mentioned again. It took him right out of the news.
- 2:09Speaker 3: I do recall that if it.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Hadn't been for that, they still would have been going
- 2:12Speaker 2: after Remember the great writer Dominic Dune, who was you know,
- 2:18Speaker 2: the big crime guy with the OJA. He went after
- 2:20Speaker 2: Gary Content and he's the one that really pushed that theory.
- 2:25Speaker 2: And then Condent sued Dominic Done and I think there
- 2:28Speaker 2: was a massive settlement there. Uh because Dominic Dunn was
- 2:33Speaker 2: on my show the way around. Yeah, yeah, Dominic Dunn
- 2:37Speaker 2: was always on my show. And then he started in
- 2:38Speaker 2: on Gary Condon. I always had to stop him and
- 2:41Speaker 2: bleep him and tell him, don't you're gonna get sued again.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Stop it. I gotta look it up.
- 2:44Speaker 4: See if you say you do a great show. Thank
- 2:47Speaker 4: you for everything? And uh, I every day.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Oh you got a radio now, wow, look at.
- 2:53Speaker 4: You nostring it from New York. I couldn't fit in
- 3:00Speaker 4: my little car to move everything I needed.
- 3:04Speaker 2: Yeah, most people listen, not most, but probably half our
- 3:07Speaker 2: audience listens on the phone. Now just download the iHeart app.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Garrett Duke, great call, thanks for calling. Yeah, I listened
- 3:14Speaker 2: to be honest, I listened on the phone all the
- 3:16Speaker 2: time of the radio. In fact, the other day alside
- 3:18Speaker 2: on the internet went after there was no signal, I'm
- 3:20Speaker 2: listening to the show. I was going crack. Couldn't feel
- 3:22Speaker 2: what to do. I said forgot. I could just turn
- 3:24Speaker 2: the radio on. I got twelve radios. I can just
- 3:27Speaker 2: turn one of them on. Let's go to Patrick in
- 3:30Speaker 2: New York City. Patrick, how you doing.
- 3:33Speaker 3: In Mark? A big story this morning you probably know of.
- 3:36Speaker 3: Alan Dersherwitz announced that he's becoming a Republican. He's leaving
- 3:40Speaker 3: the Democratic Party. And to quote him, I heard him
- 3:42Speaker 3: interviewed this morning. He said, I'm leaving the party because
- 3:45Speaker 3: it is crazy, as Trump said, and we just cannot
- 3:49Speaker 3: allow the Democratic parton to take control of Congress. Also,
- 3:52Speaker 3: he's becomeing a Yankee fan leaving the Red Sox. Yeah,
- 3:57Speaker 3: big news.
- 3:57Speaker 2: He's not a huge baseball fan, but he's a great
- 3:59Speaker 2: guy and he should leave. The Democrats were so awful
- 4:03Speaker 2: to him. You know, he wasn't a Trump supporter, he
- 4:06Speaker 2: wasn't a Trump voter. He voted for Obama, he voted
- 4:09Speaker 2: for Biden, he voted for he voted for Hillary. And
- 4:12Speaker 2: then when Trump got impeached the first time, he was
- 4:14Speaker 2: totally dishonest, corrupt, unfair impeachment. And he offered to defend him.
- 4:19Speaker 2: That's what a good lawyer does. And so the whole
- 4:20Speaker 2: Democratic world came down on him. They wouldn't talk to him,
- 4:23Speaker 2: They ostracized him. I don't blame him. Well, thanks for
- 4:26Speaker 2: exactly exactly all right, thanks, Hey, I'm just looking it
- 4:29Speaker 2: up here, Gary Condit. Yeah he's still alive. He's seventy
- 4:37Speaker 2: seventy eight years old, and yeah, he was from California.
- 4:42Speaker 2: He was a congressman that oh I forgot her name.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Yeah it was Levy, Chandra Levy with the young woman,
- 4:49Speaker 2: the intern, having that affair. So yeah, her death remains unsolved.
- 4:56Speaker 2: So he's having an affair with this young intern. She
- 5:00Speaker 2: ends up dead in the park near his house. Who
- 5:03Speaker 2: knows what happened in Rock Creek Park. She ends up dead,
- 5:08Speaker 2: and they believe now it was an undocumented immigrant illegal
- 5:13Speaker 2: from Al Salvador who had already been convicted of two
- 5:17Speaker 2: other attacks in that park. So it was probably him.
- 5:20Speaker 2: But for a while, boy was this guy. This guy
- 5:23Speaker 2: could not turn on anything, television, radio, newspaper, anything without
- 5:28Speaker 2: seeing his name. That's all anybody talked about. You know,
- 5:31Speaker 2: when you're in that situation, when it's just twenty four
- 5:34Speaker 2: to seven, that all they're doing is talking about you
- 5:36Speaker 2: being a murderer. You just can't make it stop. You
- 5:39Speaker 2: go crazy. It's unbelievable. When you're in that kind of
- 5:42Speaker 2: situation and you think, what could ever stop this from?
- 5:47Speaker 2: How do I get this off the air? What can
- 5:48Speaker 2: you do? You talk to crisis consultants, say well, there's
- 5:51Speaker 2: no way to get it off the air, and then
- 5:54Speaker 2: it's unbelievable. Nine to eleven occurred that next Tuesday morning,
- 5:59Speaker 2: and then he was never mentioned again. He never forgot
- 6:02Speaker 2: any mentioned again ever on the airwaves. It was all
- 6:05Speaker 2: forgotten about. But he's still alive, and that doesn't really
- 6:08Speaker 2: say what he does now. He gets involved in local politics.
- 6:12Speaker 2: His son and daughter wanted to get into politics. Hey
- 6:15Speaker 2: I wonder I don't know why, but hey, anyway, So
- 6:18Speaker 2: we'll talk to the brilliant columnist Liz Peak next. Kevin
- 6:23Speaker 2: Warsh is hopefully going to be the new FED chairman.
- 6:25Speaker 2: I'm sure he will be, but they're going to put
- 6:27Speaker 2: him through hell today and these hearings. We'll talk about
- 6:29Speaker 2: that and more just ahead on seven to ten. Wor
