Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listening to bill Handle on demand from KFI AM
- 0:04Speaker 1: six forty.
- 0:08Speaker 2: I'm in the movie Food KFI AM six forty bill Handle.
- 0:16Speaker 2: It is a footy Friday as well as Friday the thirteenth.
- 0:21Speaker 3: And at the bottom of the hour, it's ask Candle
- 0:23Speaker 3: anything last week last Friday the most embarrassing, humiliating questions
- 0:28Speaker 3: that we've had since we started the show. And it's
- 0:31Speaker 3: basically about humiliating me, and that's the whole point of it.
- 0:34Speaker 3: So ask Candle anything at the bottom of the hour,
- 0:37Speaker 3: and the stories we're looking at. Of course, the war
- 0:39Speaker 3: continues on a couple of attacks yesterday at one was
- 0:44Speaker 3: the university, one was at a synagogue, and those attacks
- 0:48Speaker 3: are happening more and more throughout the world.
- 0:50Speaker 2: No surprise there.
- 0:52Speaker 3: And just we now have what a total of eleven
- 0:56Speaker 3: members of the Armed services that have died in the war.
- 1:00Speaker 3: Seven of them have died in combat or an attack
- 1:03Speaker 3: in Kuwait on this will hit them or a drone
- 1:06Speaker 3: and the other four or now it's six right, amy
- 1:11Speaker 3: that have died in that plane crash.
- 1:15Speaker 2: It's up to six, yes, it's up to six. That
- 1:18Speaker 2: was the entire crew.
- 1:19Speaker 1: They just said.
- 1:20Speaker 3: No one survived which makes sense. When a plane goes down,
- 1:23Speaker 3: you rarely, rarely see a survivor. All right, it's time
- 1:26Speaker 3: for Foody Friday with Neil Semedri tomorrow two to five
- 1:30Speaker 3: pm the FOROK Report.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Neil, this is a weird one.
- 1:34Speaker 3: Neil sends me the topics and does when when you
- 1:39Speaker 3: eat matter? For example, in my case it's constant, So
- 1:44Speaker 3: does that matter incessant?
- 1:47Speaker 1: Well, the reality is this, they've gone back and forth.
- 1:50Speaker 1: They being scientists and different studies have gone back and
- 1:54Speaker 1: forth about a lot of different things when it comes
- 1:56Speaker 1: to eating and how it affects our health. You know,
- 2:00Speaker 1: the basics about fat or salt or these types of
- 2:04Speaker 1: things that we think about all the time. It's always
- 2:06Speaker 1: about what's on the plate that's important. As far as
- 2:11Speaker 1: when you eat, it's been more controversial. People in the
- 2:15Speaker 1: science community go back and forth on whether it matters
- 2:19Speaker 1: or if it's just calories in, calories out type thing.
- 2:23Speaker 1: So this study caught my eye because it talks about
- 2:26Speaker 1: when you should eat or stop eating before bed. The
- 2:30Speaker 1: short answer is they say three hours before bed, which
- 2:34Speaker 1: I've heard in the past is the sweet spot because
- 2:38Speaker 1: timing your meals this way is specifically avoiding food for
- 2:43Speaker 1: those three hours before bed may improve cardiovascular and metabolic health.
- 2:49Speaker 1: And it, like I've said, this has gone back and forth.
- 2:52Speaker 1: So seeing a new study involving adults and reading their
- 2:56Speaker 1: blood sugar control their blood pressure that they saw differences,
- 3:05Speaker 1: you know, significant enough for the study in people that
- 3:11Speaker 1: you know ate it gave themselves a three hour period
- 3:15Speaker 1: of not eating before bed, their blood pressure dropped by
- 3:20Speaker 1: three point five percent, heart rate decreased by five percent.
- 3:26Speaker 1: These are super important science.
- 3:30Speaker 2: Science, you know.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Oh how about remember when you couldn't swim for half
- 3:36Speaker 3: an hour after eating? I remember that one, and that
- 3:40Speaker 3: was a myth that was started by the same people
- 3:42Speaker 3: that gave us richer year in the gerbil it is Well,
- 3:46Speaker 3: you know where it came from. The thought was that
- 3:49Speaker 3: your body, while digesting food, you were more likely to
- 3:53Speaker 3: get a cramp of some kind and then cause you
- 3:57Speaker 3: to not swim properly or to you know, brown I
- 4:01Speaker 3: guess would be the end result of that. But you
- 4:07Speaker 3: know they've proven that that's not an issue. Okay, that's
- 4:12Speaker 3: the boring part. Thank you very much for bringing that
- 4:14Speaker 3: topic up. Science and food YUK. Now let's get to
- 4:19Speaker 3: the fun part of food a quick one that I
- 4:22Speaker 3: want to share with you. A little bit of history
- 4:25Speaker 3: is people remember exactly where they were. If you're old
- 4:28Speaker 3: enough to remember the assassination of JFK, you knew where
- 4:31Speaker 3: you were.
- 4:33Speaker 2: The same thing.
- 4:33Speaker 3: And now we're going back. I don't know if anybody's
- 4:35Speaker 3: alive who can remember the day that par Harbor hit,
- 4:40Speaker 3: the day that FDR died, the day that the moon
- 4:45Speaker 3: landing occurred. I knew exactly where we were. I knew
- 4:49Speaker 3: exactly where I was. The day that Costco gave up
- 4:53Speaker 3: their chiros. I was devastated, and the churros were some
- 5:00Speaker 3: of the best things, and they replace it with this
- 5:03Speaker 3: crapple chocolate chip cookie thing. So there is a churo,
- 5:10Speaker 3: but it's not the chiro churro that we know, Neil,
- 5:13Speaker 3: what is this Costco churo connection?
- 5:16Speaker 1: Now, first, I want to say condolences for your loss.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Thank you. You might or may not be excited about this.
- 5:25Speaker 1: I know you like ice cream, so maybe this will
- 5:27Speaker 1: come your way. Cockco brought back a beloved discontinued food
- 5:31Speaker 1: court item in a new way. Like Handle said, it's
- 5:36Speaker 1: not the pure churo that we all knew and love.
- 5:41Speaker 1: But if you remember, we talked a little bit god
- 5:43Speaker 1: some time ago about Sam's Club releasing this this caramel
- 5:49Speaker 1: Pomier Sunday that had the sweet crunchy pomieres inside there
- 5:54Speaker 1: and people were going nuts for it. Well, the counter
- 5:57Speaker 1: to that is now at Costco, and Costco is putting
- 6:01Speaker 1: in in their food court this brand new dessert which
- 6:08Speaker 1: is a caramel Turo Sunday. So you get your ice cream,
- 6:13Speaker 1: you get your caramel, and you get your chutro chunks
- 6:17Speaker 1: of chudo throughout there, and it should bring all the
- 6:21Speaker 1: love and happiness that you could imagine you would ever want.
- 6:25Speaker 2: I'm not crazy about caramel in general.
- 6:30Speaker 1: And Shannon Farron, if I remember correctly, and I don't
- 6:35Speaker 1: you know you you're a curmudgeon. But Farren has a zest
- 6:39Speaker 1: for life, and it confuses me that she's not down
- 6:43Speaker 1: with the caramel.
- 6:45Speaker 2: I'm not a big fan of chocolate.
- 6:47Speaker 1: I know you don't like chocolate, not particularly.
- 6:50Speaker 3: Now, if they could figure out a Churo Sunday that
- 6:54Speaker 3: had some kind of a diet coke on coverer in there,
- 6:58Speaker 3: s yeah, that would that would work very well.
- 7:02Speaker 1: You're a very very specific type guy.
- 7:06Speaker 2: I am.
- 7:07Speaker 3: Okay, So this is going to be on for How
- 7:10Speaker 3: long is this one of those limited items that then disappear?
- 7:14Speaker 1: You know what, you never know with Costco. Right now,
- 7:19Speaker 1: I think it's two ninety nine, there is it was
- 7:22Speaker 1: just the true that you talked about was discontinue in
- 7:25Speaker 1: twenty twenty three. This one does not have a specific
- 7:32Speaker 1: end date, but it does say that it's a limited run,
- 7:34Speaker 1: so you never ever know. That's how they keep you
- 7:37Speaker 1: coming back.
- 7:38Speaker 2: One of the negative.
- 7:38Speaker 3: Things about Costco one is when you get free samples,
- 7:42Speaker 3: of course, fighting the Korean ladies who are just fighting
- 7:46Speaker 3: you to.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Get in front of that. That might be just your area,
- 7:48Speaker 2: that could be yeah. And the other thing a lot
- 7:51Speaker 2: of my people at my one and the other.
- 7:53Speaker 3: One is items that you love are discontinued at Costco.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Tell you a little tip, by the way, look at
- 8:02Speaker 1: the price tag. There's certain changes that go on. You
- 8:06Speaker 1: know something isn't selling well if you see a black
- 8:10Speaker 1: asterisk in the upper right corner of the tag, that
- 8:14Speaker 1: is called the I think it's called the black star
- 8:18Speaker 1: of death, and that means that that item is going away,
- 8:22Speaker 1: that this that once they're done with what's in the
- 8:25Speaker 1: store right then and there, that it's not coming back,
- 8:29Speaker 1: so whatever look for that. Yeah, So they usually end
- 8:38Speaker 1: their prices in ninety nine cents or something like that,
- 8:41Speaker 1: So if it goes down to like seventy nine or
- 8:44Speaker 1: seventy seven, that means that they've dropped the price to
- 8:47Speaker 1: a manager's price and then and then you'll get the
- 8:51Speaker 1: star eventually, and that means that's not that item's not
- 8:54Speaker 1: coming back up.
- 8:55Speaker 3: Okay, let's finish with what we talk about all the time,
- 8:59Speaker 3: and we're both huge and fans of, and that's frozen pizza.
- 9:03Speaker 3: Good frozen pizza, which there's plenty out there now, but
- 9:06Speaker 3: this is breakfast frozen pizza.
- 9:08Speaker 1: So we had this made me laugh because we've been
- 9:11Speaker 1: talking a lot about frozen pizzas. But I had a
- 9:13Speaker 1: conversation with my son Max the other day who was like,
- 9:18Speaker 1: I said something about pizza for breakfast. He goes, you
- 9:21Speaker 1: can't have pizza for breakfast. I said, they make breakfast pizzas,
- 9:25Speaker 1: and he didn't believe me. But if you go to
- 9:27Speaker 1: Aldi right now, there's a five dollars breakfast pizza that
- 9:31Speaker 1: people are loving and lining up for. It's got a
- 9:34Speaker 1: biscuit crust, it's got right amy sausage, and cheese, breakfast pizza.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Is there a sauce? Is there a sauce on it?
- 9:47Speaker 2: I might have this.
- 9:48Speaker 1: Let's see if it says, what's the biscuit crust? It's
- 9:54Speaker 1: got to have something on there. I just don't know
- 9:56Speaker 1: if it's top. Oh here it is, Yes, gravy, it's
- 10:01Speaker 1: got grataes, meat, sometimesgies that just made it go south
- 10:08Speaker 1: belly bacon onions.
- 10:12Speaker 2: But Amie, does the gravy get in the way of
- 10:16Speaker 2: you and breakfast?
- 10:18Speaker 4: Well?
- 10:18Speaker 1: No, because you have you ever had biscuits and gravy?
- 10:21Speaker 2: I have. I have had biscuits and gravy. I like
- 10:23Speaker 2: biscuits and gravy. That's breakfast.
- 10:26Speaker 3: Uh, I don't actually do biscuits and gravy for breakfast.
- 10:31Speaker 1: It is a breakfast dish.
- 10:33Speaker 2: It's also a dinner dish. You serve with chicken fried chicken.
- 10:37Speaker 2: You do that, don't you?
- 10:38Speaker 1: You can serve anything at any time. Breakfast for dinner
- 10:42Speaker 1: is great.
- 10:43Speaker 3: No, I get that now, I get that, all right?
- 10:47Speaker 3: So much for that and that's at al d Is
- 10:50Speaker 3: it okay?
- 10:51Speaker 2: You got it? All right? We are done.
- 10:53Speaker 3: Neil with Foody Friday Tomorrow, Neil is on at two
- 10:58Speaker 3: o'clock with four two to five the Oscar Show.
- 11:03Speaker 2: That's right.
- 11:03Speaker 3: I hope you're going to talk about Oscar food because
- 11:06Speaker 3: Wolfgang Puck still caters the Governor's Ball.
- 11:09Speaker 2: I think he's been doing it forever, so.
- 11:13Speaker 1: I've met his His chef is main catering chef, nicest
- 11:17Speaker 1: guy in the world and so passionate about food.
- 11:21Speaker 3: Yeah, and so I can't even imagine what it costs
- 11:23Speaker 3: per head for the food that Wolfgang Puck serves up
- 11:29Speaker 3: at the Oscars. Okay, we're done with that, and then
- 11:34Speaker 3: the following Saturday, we're going to talk about that. It'll
- 11:36Speaker 3: be the broadcast at my house for the donors to
- 11:40Speaker 3: Katarina's club that donated a pile of money.
- 11:43Speaker 2: Okay, now we're gonna have fun. Now it's mister embarrassment
- 11:48Speaker 2: time and that's me. It's ask Handle anything. You record
- 11:52Speaker 2: the questions, Neil chooses the questions. I answer the questions.
- 11:57Speaker 3: It's all done in real time, and it's all about
- 12:01Speaker 3: well humiliating me.
- 12:02Speaker 2: Okay, kono. Let's start with the first question.
- 12:05Speaker 4: Hey, this is Chris in Orange County. Just as a
- 12:09Speaker 4: public service, could you let us know where Bill Handle
- 12:13Speaker 4: is doing yoga so that we can avoid that yoga studio.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Appreciate it, thank you.
- 12:21Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm doing yoga at I think it's a twenty
- 12:24Speaker 3: four hour fitness on doing it with a buddy of mine.
- 12:27Speaker 3: A matter of fact, the guy who runs the website,
- 12:33Speaker 3: you know, handle on the loot dot com.
- 12:35Speaker 2: He's a good buddy. And that's where I'm doing it.
- 12:37Speaker 3: And I'm not going to tell you exactly where I
- 12:38Speaker 3: am because you're going to go out and kill me.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Okay.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Next question, this is Evelyn from Carmel asking Handel, will
- 12:49Speaker 1: you play Misty for me?
- 12:53Speaker 2: You remember that? Rest? I do?
- 12:55Speaker 5: Oh?
- 12:56Speaker 2: I do?
- 12:57Speaker 3: Of course? Very good film. Actually was that the first
- 13:04Speaker 3: film that who is the star of that?
- 13:07Speaker 2: To to ask? You know, dirty Harry Clint Eastwood?
- 13:11Speaker 3: It could have been the first film that Clint Eastwood
- 13:14Speaker 3: in fact directed? And who was the actress? Did she
- 13:17Speaker 3: win an oscar for that? I can't remember somethings? What
- 13:22Speaker 3: if self baits? Was that Helen Bates? I don't remember
- 13:26Speaker 3: her name? But anyway, yes, play Misty for me? It was? Yeah,
- 13:30Speaker 3: it was a someone who is a you know, a follower,
- 13:35Speaker 3: an acolyte? Yeah, stalker? Do I have that right?
- 13:42Speaker 2: I think so? No, I think you're conflating.
- 13:46Speaker 1: I think you're confusing misery.
- 13:48Speaker 2: And oh you're right, You're right. I think I am.
- 13:51Speaker 2: I think right. Yeah, that's true.
- 13:54Speaker 3: Okay, fair enough, So that question, I have no idea
- 13:58Speaker 3: if I was right or wrong, and I don't care.
- 14:00Speaker 2: Okay, cono.
- 14:03Speaker 6: Bill handle you. First of all, I don't like you.
- 14:07Speaker 6: I think you're just like an egotistical. But don't talk
- 14:13Speaker 6: about Jews. You give Jews a bad name. We already
- 14:16Speaker 6: have enough problems without you making stupid ass jokes about Jews.
- 14:23Speaker 4: You're not even Jewish.
- 14:24Speaker 6: Maybe you were born Jewish, but I don't really think
- 14:26Speaker 6: you were. You call yourself Jewish because you go to
- 14:29Speaker 6: the go to temple on the.
- 14:31Speaker 2: High holidays days days. Yeah.
- 14:35Speaker 3: Okay, first of all, wow, ye did in reference to
- 14:40Speaker 3: that I am an egotistical a whole. I couldn't agree more.
- 14:44Speaker 3: That's absolutely correct. I'm not look in the mirror every
- 14:48Speaker 3: morning and I go there you are, and that's what
- 14:49Speaker 3: I call myself. As far as being Jewish and the
- 14:54Speaker 3: problem that you have with me being Jewish, you know
- 14:57Speaker 3: what you are invited next time I need to go
- 15:00Speaker 3: to the bathroom and take a look at my schfunts
- 15:04Speaker 3: and you know what you're going to see. Yes, you
- 15:07Speaker 3: are not going to see. You're not going to see
- 15:08Speaker 3: an ant eater there, you are not. What you're going
- 15:12Speaker 3: to see is the work of a moil. Not very
- 15:15Speaker 3: good work of a moil, I might add, it's pretty jagged.
- 15:18Speaker 3: But uh yeah, And I don't think you understand you,
- 15:23Speaker 3: you psycho bitch. You you don't understand that to be
- 15:27Speaker 3: Jewish Judaism is both a culture as well as a religion.
- 15:32Speaker 3: I am not religious, damn right, I am not religious. Yes,
- 15:37Speaker 3: well completely, that's the only part she got right. Uh
- 15:42Speaker 3: So anyway, Yes, I had a conversation with my trainer
- 15:46Speaker 3: last week. How you it's a culture. Christianity is not
- 15:50Speaker 3: a culture. It is a religion. But and there's no
- 15:53Speaker 3: Christian food out there. Well maybe those little crackers which
- 15:57Speaker 3: he whiz on them, yeah, that you have, uh, you know, and.
- 16:01Speaker 2: Cultural during Mass it could be you could be.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Secular and still celebrate Easter and Christmas and stuff like that.
- 16:10Speaker 3: Okay, that's I'll buy you know what, I'll go twenty
- 16:14Speaker 3: five percent on that one.
- 16:15Speaker 1: Okay, Wow, you are Jewish.
- 16:18Speaker 3: Yeah, so anyway, that's the answer to your question. You horrible,
- 16:28Speaker 3: horrible human.
- 16:29Speaker 6: Wow.
- 16:29Speaker 3: She you know what, I hope you. I hope you
- 16:33Speaker 3: fall in love with a rabbi. Okay, that would do it,
- 16:36Speaker 3: all right, Kno, next question.
- 16:38Speaker 2: Hey, good morning Bill.
- 16:40Speaker 5: So you guys did a story earlier about a man
- 16:43Speaker 5: who cut his manhood off, and every male listening scorm
- 16:47Speaker 5: no doubt.
- 16:48Speaker 6: But my question to you is if you were to do.
- 16:50Speaker 5: That, do you think Lindsay would notice?
- 16:53Speaker 2: Thanks, Oh, that's an easy one. That's a softball you
- 16:57Speaker 2: threw at me.
- 16:58Speaker 1: Come on, that's actually what she said.
- 17:01Speaker 3: Yeah, come on, of course you would notice. A matter
- 17:04Speaker 3: of fact, there's a good chance.
- 17:05Speaker 2: She would do it.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Uh, som gonna finish what the oils started exactly?
- 17:13Speaker 2: Oh? Yes, okay, next question.
- 17:17Speaker 4: Hey, real quick question.
- 17:18Speaker 1: We were born?
- 17:18Speaker 2: Did you have the same hairline? You know what, I
- 17:22Speaker 2: don't remember if I had hair when I was born.
- 17:24Speaker 2: That's actually a pretty good question.
- 17:27Speaker 1: You've got a good head of hair in the pictures
- 17:29Speaker 1: that they posted the.
- 17:30Speaker 3: Ye, Well, that doesn't necessarily mean that I was born
- 17:32Speaker 3: with hair. Some people are born, you know. I don't
- 17:35Speaker 3: know the answer to that. That's actually a pretty good question.
- 17:37Speaker 3: And do I don't know if we even have baby pictures.
- 17:39Speaker 3: I don't keep I don't keep pictures. I am not
- 17:43Speaker 3: a Yeah, I don't keep pictures. I just don't care.
- 17:45Speaker 3: You look at my wallet. I don't have pictures of
- 17:47Speaker 3: my wife, my kids. I just don't I have picture.
- 17:50Speaker 3: You know, I have one picture? Yeah, well there's that.
- 17:53Speaker 3: I have one picture one and it's all my driver's license.
- 17:58Speaker 3: There's the pictures I have. Is it a decent picture? No,
- 18:01Speaker 3: it's not. Actually it's not bad. It's not bad. Do
- 18:04Speaker 3: you know here's a little tidbit. Do you know that
- 18:06Speaker 3: when you take your picture, you can actually ask them
- 18:10Speaker 3: can I take a look at it? Because they do
- 18:12Speaker 3: it digitally and they'll if you say, hey, can you
- 18:16Speaker 3: take another one that looks terrible? Generally they will if
- 18:20Speaker 3: you're not happy with your picture. Okay, neck, Oh, how's
- 18:23Speaker 3: that for a little bit of advice. There's handle on
- 18:25Speaker 3: the law. Okay, next question.
- 18:28Speaker 5: Bill, correct me if I'm wrong. But you have two
- 18:30Speaker 5: daughters right when they do have children, and that's make
- 18:33Speaker 5: you the grandpa? Will you be that doting grandpa and
- 18:36Speaker 5: like take them to Disneyland, take them to the zoo,
- 18:39Speaker 5: you know, take them to the park, have them ower
- 18:41Speaker 5: for the weekend so your daughters can have a quiet
- 18:44Speaker 5: time with their husband.
- 18:46Speaker 3: Well there's another softball question. Thank you very much, Disneyland.
- 18:51Speaker 3: No way, way too expensive. Doting grandfather. Yeah, that sounds
- 18:58Speaker 3: like me. I do'te don't on anybody who dogs I do.
- 19:03Speaker 2: You know what? I dote on my dogs. Matter of fact,
- 19:06Speaker 2: you're a dog daughter.
- 19:07Speaker 3: I am a you know they're right, you know what?
- 19:08Speaker 3: They're right under my desk here, my broadcast desk.
- 19:12Speaker 2: They hang out.
- 19:13Speaker 3: I keep a pillow there. I do like my dogs
- 19:15Speaker 3: far more than I like my daughters. I mean, there
- 19:17Speaker 3: is no issue. You know why, because the dog doesn't
- 19:21Speaker 3: ask me for my credit card and it is it's
- 19:26Speaker 3: believe me, that's a wonderful thing.
- 19:28Speaker 2: No, and I'm not a grandfather. Would I be a
- 19:30Speaker 2: good grandfather?
- 19:31Speaker 4: You know?
- 19:31Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 19:32Speaker 2: I really don't know.
- 19:34Speaker 3: You know, in reality, I'm a pretty crappy father, So
- 19:38Speaker 3: I would think I wouldn't be a particularly good grandfather.
- 19:41Speaker 1: I think you'd be a good grandfather. And Lindsey is
- 19:44Speaker 1: wonderful with kids. She's a very loving auntie and stuff
- 19:49Speaker 1: like that.
- 19:50Speaker 2: Okay, fine, yeah, that's vomitous, Thank you very much. Yeah,
- 19:53Speaker 2: thank you. Okay, next question.
- 19:55Speaker 1: Hey, here's a question for you.
- 19:57Speaker 4: Bill, I was just told and I just want to
- 19:59Speaker 4: know if it's true.
- 20:00Speaker 2: You happened to go onto someone else's radio show and
- 20:04Speaker 2: yell and.
- 20:04Speaker 1: Cuss because they said something to your kids. Is that true? Oh?
- 20:10Speaker 2: Yes it is.
- 20:11Speaker 3: As a matter of fact, if you would like to
- 20:14Speaker 3: listen to that, because it is available on YouTube what
- 20:20Speaker 3: you want to do, or you can just google Bill
- 20:23Speaker 3: handle Jamie White.
- 20:26Speaker 2: And this is where she got into it.
- 20:29Speaker 3: My kids one day on the fifth floor when they
- 20:31Speaker 3: were young and would go up there and get swag
- 20:34Speaker 3: from Coast. They were friendly with the Coast people, and
- 20:37Speaker 3: literally walked into Jamie White's studio and she kicked them out,
- 20:42Speaker 3: which is legitimate. And then a couple of weeks later,
- 20:45Speaker 3: they're walking down the hallway and she kicked them off
- 20:49Speaker 3: the off the fifth floor, and.
- 20:52Speaker 2: They came down crying.
- 20:54Speaker 3: Would they would they would visit me while I was
- 20:56Speaker 3: on the air, you know, during airtime. And then they
- 20:58Speaker 3: were crying, Oh Dad, what happened to me? And they
- 21:01Speaker 3: were crying, and I got so angry. I moved up
- 21:03Speaker 3: to the fifth floor, walked into her studio, didn't notice
- 21:09Speaker 3: that the red light was on that yes, the on
- 21:15Speaker 3: air red light, and laid into her using all kinds
- 21:19Speaker 3: of fun, frivolous names.
- 21:21Speaker 2: I was suspended for that, by the way, the only
- 21:22Speaker 2: time I've.
- 21:23Speaker 1: Ever gonna kick her as if I remember, Oh, I
- 21:25Speaker 1: was far.
- 21:26Speaker 3: It was far worse than that, And it's anyway, I
- 21:30Speaker 3: was suspended. The only time I've ever been suspended in
- 21:33Speaker 3: my entire history of radio was because of that incident.
- 21:36Speaker 3: So you can go ahead and look that one up.
- 21:38Speaker 3: And I think it is on YouTube, cause I know
- 21:40Speaker 3: it's available on the on you know, on the internet.
- 21:43Speaker 1: And wherever Jamie is now, I was and will always
- 21:47Speaker 1: be team Jamie.
- 21:48Speaker 2: Uh yeah, I'm actually it was.
- 21:51Speaker 3: I was at an event and this woman came up
- 21:54Speaker 3: to me and gave me a big hug, and so
- 21:57Speaker 3: as I'm looking in the other direction, I'm thing, who
- 22:00Speaker 3: is this? I have no idea it was Jamie. Okay,
- 22:04Speaker 3: one more.
- 22:04Speaker 4: Question, Hi Bill, have you ever had to talk to
- 22:09Speaker 4: Neil about going too far on the air or has
- 22:12Speaker 4: management at the station had to talk to them about
- 22:15Speaker 4: going a little too Farley show.
- 22:18Speaker 3: My conversations with Neil about going too far? And this
- 22:21Speaker 3: is absolutely true. Every day I have a conversation with me.
- 22:28Speaker 1: You know what cracks me up? How could they listen
- 22:31Speaker 1: to this show? You brek all of us. You say
- 22:34Speaker 1: horrible things about minorities, You're horrible about your own people.
- 22:40Speaker 1: And I joke about something, and it's like, oh, Neil
- 22:44Speaker 1: went too far?
- 22:46Speaker 2: Yeah, do that happen? Yeah.
- 22:48Speaker 3: Sometimes I'll even ask beforehand, I'm gonna make some comment
- 22:52Speaker 3: about something, and I'll go is that going to be
- 22:57Speaker 3: too far? And Neil says, yeah, I think that's over
- 22:59Speaker 3: the line, which immediately means I'm going to do it.
- 23:02Speaker 3: There is absolutely no issue. Have I gotten in trouble.
- 23:04Speaker 3: Have I gotten in trouble with management? I have with
- 23:07Speaker 3: previous management. There's no question current management is they leave
- 23:14Speaker 3: me alone actually because I have more experience than anybody
- 23:18Speaker 3: that's there in terms of my show, and they figure,
- 23:22Speaker 3: you know, if I don't know how to do my show,
- 23:24Speaker 3: then no one does. They're very generous and so the
- 23:27Speaker 3: answer is yes, constantly every day without stop making fun
- 23:34Speaker 3: of insert name of ethnic group here, religious group here,
- 23:38Speaker 3: handicap here. It doesn't matter. Okay, we are done with
- 23:42Speaker 3: ask handle anything? Hey, Neil tomorrow two to five with
- 23:47Speaker 3: the Folk Report. I'm on eight to eleven with Handle
