- Lisa Wilson: So Lisa, twenty I'm so good, man. It's been it's been a week, but I'm I'm so happy to be here today. And I was going over as I was building the anniversary episode for us and looking at our stats, like I mean, twenty one and a half hours of conversation. Do you remember any of it? Lisa Smith: Yeah, hi, how are you? Yeah. Me too. ⁓ Not really. I mean, I honestly can't believe it was 21 hours, but we spend a lot of time talking. And so ⁓ when you're doing it and having fun, it goes by really fast. Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Yeah. It does. And I was asking Chat GPT today, like, why would anyone care? It's our anniversary. Like it's like feels very personal because it's a a a celebration. And it was like, okay, look, for anybody who's looked back on their life and sees a pivot, this episode is for you because we are kind of the pivot queens, Lisa. Lisa Smith: Mm-hmm. Yeah. That is true. We actually are, we've seen quite a few in our lifetime, haven't we? Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Yes, we sure have. And so like and I'm and I'm proud of everyone. Did it get a little sloppy? Sometimes. Did I did it get a little weepy? Sometimes. Lisa Smith: I mean, come on. super weepy through this process by the way and I thought I was like not, ⁓ I didn't think the podcast could make me weepy when I was supposed to just be having fun talking to my friend. ⁓ But wow, those waterworks have come out. Lisa Wilson: Mm. ⁓ Mm-hmm. and we're gonna get into all those messy details because you guys, I mean, you gotta see how the sausage is made to really appreciate what you actually get to see every week, right? ⁓ so the the name of our first podcast was Gold Star Whores So if if you guys don't know the origin story for that, it was it's a very simple thing. So I was talking to Lisa one day ⁓ and I like, Lisa, like Lisa Smith: Yeah. Lisa Wilson: Why do I continue to put myself in front of people to get acknowledgement for work I've done when I know I'm not gonna get it? Like, but it was like a compulsion, like I can't help myself, like I have to like put myself out there. And Lisa, what did you tell me? Lisa Smith: Mm-hmm. Well, it's because you're a gold star whore. Mm hmm. Mm hmm. Lisa Wilson: That's right. I'm a gold star whore. And you guys, the laughter that ensued, because one, she's absolutely right. I am a gold star whore. We both are. And then it was like, I mean, we just we could we can't get around it. And you guys, that's why we named our podcast Gold Star Whores. And it was, it was really like like it was about, you know, that external validation, right? That that point that Lisa and I, because like Lisa and I've have 30 years of friendship. Lisa Smith: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: And we worked together for a lot of that, right? And it was just kind of like we wanted, we wanted a place where we could talk about our experiences, right? Like we had we had years and years of leadership experience and lots of, I mean, you guys, the stories. Go listen to Gold Star Horrors if you want to. We're gonna maybe connect them. ⁓ maybe not. But if if you want them, let me know. I'll make sure you get them. ⁓ but if you want to hear the messy stories. Lisa Smith: Mm-hmm. Yeah, yeah. Lisa Wilson: Like there're so many that we were like, let's write a book. And then we were like, we tried to write a book and we weren't good at writing books. We're not writers. Lisa Smith: Yeah. We're not writers, but we're also not really, we weren't podcast hosts either. So we'd never done that before, but we thought, Hey, it might be easier just to talk about it. ⁓ so that's what we did. mean, constantly though, us chasing that approval, trying to be the best at everything. I think that's something that we absolutely shared in common and we have in common and we shared throughout many years of our friendship and our Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Yeah. Mm. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Lisa Smith: careers. And so we thought it was a good idea. Lisa Wilson: Yeah. And and we also like we felt like it was important to let people know maybe and you guys ⁓ I'm not crying. I mean I'm very emotional, very happy today, but nothing says sexy like a 55 year old lady that's 30 pounds overweight, then a 55 year old lady who's 30 pounds overweight with a blocked tear duct. So my left eye just constantly waters. I mean, back off boys, back off boys, take it. Like, you know, so Lisa Smith: You and your eyes. Lisa Wilson: But back to Gold Star Whores So we start this podcast because we want to share our stories. And we had a lot of hard lessons learned that we thought we should share these, and maybe other people can avoid the dumpster fires that became our lives at one point because of these experiences. And in talking about that, we really kind of moved away from talking about. Lisa Smith: Yeah. Yeah. Correct. Lisa Wilson: those gold star experiences and that leadership experience into just experiences. And it became more about like our friendship and it became more about like how why we reacted the way that we react. Right. And then like we one day we look up and we're like, hey, I don't think we're talking about like gold stars anymore. I think it's it's something totally different. And actually Lisa Smith: Correct. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: Lisa and I, we had a lady summit and Lisa came to the table and did a why. So this why, you guys, and I don't again, I don't want to get TED talkie, but it really Lisa in a very creative and intelligent and non-type A way, which because when you have two people that are usually the high functioning adult in the room, it can get real touchy when we start directing one another. And Lisa was great. She was like, we can't talk about this forever. Lisa Smith: Mm-hmm, we did. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Lisa Wilson: We need to figure out what we want to do, who we want to show up to the party, why we want them to show up, why it should be us talking to them and not just any other two random ladies. And it was really about connection. And I mean, I don't know, Lisa, what were your thoughts on that? Lisa Smith: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah. So, I I think we had to kind of figure out why we were doing this because it was a lot of time investment. There was a lot of ups and downs. was some, you know, definitely some like stressful moments, but we knew that it was important because we were, mean, we, we wanted to do this. And so, Lisa Wilson: Mm. Mm. Lisa Smith: Absolutely. I I felt like something that we should talk through a little bit more would be like, why are we doing it? Why should people show up every week? how can we add value to somebody's 45 minutes that they choose to stream, right? Or listen. And again, we didn't want to be Ted Talky. We didn't want to be preachy or Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Yeah. Lisa Smith: anything we really wanted to create connection with people who could see themselves in some of these situations. And I think some one of the biggest ah-has was us kind of figuring out that we wanted the podcast to feel like how our friendship feels comfortable, easy, you know, ⁓ we can pick up where we left off 20 years later, not have seen each other at all. And Lisa Wilson: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yep. Lisa Smith: That's what I think we were really striving for and hoping for as we transitioned into High Five Hot Mess. Lisa Wilson: Yeah. And and I think that like one of the other big takeaways w as we got into high five hot mess was there is no cookie cutter solution. There's there's nothing that and listen, I know you guys out there are gonna be all like, Nope, there's a there's a right way, a wrong way, and we're gonna get this done. The end. And you guys I'm here to tell you it changes every week. Like every week we have a different Lisa Smith: No. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: Thing that we're gonna do or say or what didn't work. So flexibility, long way to say being flexible was really important. And then understanding that gold star whores was all about, and you said this repeatedly, but I just wasn't hearing it until I was in the space to hear it. But you were like, This is who gold star whores is who we used to be. Like it's not who we are right now. Like, neither one of us is in a leadership position. Lisa Smith: Yeah. neither one of us is in that industry that we had all those shared experiences in. And we'd kind of walked away from that. And I think what had brought us together originally really wasn't why we were friends today, you know? And it honestly didn't track in how our lives are being led today at all. So yeah, it started to just kind of feel Lisa Wilson: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Lisa Smith: inauthentic to continue to speak to something that we weren't really the experts in anymore, right? And again, we weren't trying to be the expert, but just we didn't, we weren't continuously having those experiences. Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Right. Ca Coming from a place of hey, use my experiences to help you to hey, ⁓ I have this weird thing on my body and I don't know what it is. Let's Google it together. It's very different podcast, right? And it's a lot less pressure and it's way more fun. And like like and it's continuing to evolve. Okay. So the next thing is why did we change our episode format? Even you guys from the beginning of this this ⁓ podcast for high five hot mess. Lisa Smith: Mm-hmm. Very different. Lisa Wilson: Lisa and I wanted it to be fun. We wanted to talk about stuff that we like talking about because if we talk about it, you guys might want to listen. And, you know, it it was it was good for us and the three people that knew us that were listening to us. But we had a whole bunch of people, and I don't mean that. I mean like our first episode I mean, and we love them. ⁓ and they're here right now, forever. ⁓ Lisa Smith: Yeah. We totally thank them, you know, for tuning in. Yeah. Lisa Wilson: But it like it we wanted to be able to say, hey, look, like we know that there are more of you out there that are feeling the same way we are, that might just need a place to hang out every week. And maybe what we're talking about is too all over the place, or it's doesn't relate to you. Or so we took it down again, like we changed the format again to make sure that we were being inclusive, that we were including everyone, and talking about things that really genuinely matter to us. Lisa Smith: Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: but also probably matter to you guys. And that has been the reason that our our topics have changed. And again, that flexibility, right? Like so if you guys still don't like like what we're talking about, let us know. Like we'll do whatever I mean, literally, like we're up for it. Right. Lisa Smith: Mm-hmm. And I think Lisa, it was that time that we spent around my birthday and we had gone for coffee and we were together and I was asking you all these questions I'm really interested in and what podcast out there can answer these questions, you know? And so I think that that kind of helped us like again, reformat Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Mm. Lisa Smith: once again, even within High Five Hot Mess. So it's going to continue to evolve as we evolve and as we see things ⁓ are opportunities for ourselves and our listeners. Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Yeah. So when I hit the lottery, we'll doing it from the yacht. I mean, anything's anything's possible. ⁓ so the next thing is that we wanted to talk about is what is your so the number one question that we get all the time that drives me crazy because I don't know how to answer it, what is your podcast about? Lisa Smith: I'm in. I'm in. Hmm Yeah, what does high five hot mess? What does that even mean? I mean... Lisa Wilson: Yeah. So what do you tell people when they ask you that? Lisa Smith: Well, it's on our YouTube channel, but this sums it up. Finding the high fives in a hot mess world. mean, I really honestly think that when we put everything together, that's what we set out to do. We wanted a positive podcast. ⁓ We didn't want to be like riding on a rainbow. It wasn't about that, but it was more about like, hey, we can find high fives in any situation. Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Lisa Smith: And I think knowledge is power. And so that's why we kind of set out to like ⁓ address it that way, because I'm sorry, nothing is perfect all the time. And ⁓ I lately have been feeling like I've been finding a lot more hot messes. So, but I continuously remind myself to try to find the silver lining, that high five. What about you? How do you explain it to people? Lisa Wilson: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yeah. So I show them the link to our I give them the 2D barcode to our YouTube channel. And then I'm like, just come and hang out with us. You'll find out. I mean, that's what I say now, but and I and I really mean that. Like I'm always prepared. You want my Instagram? 2D barcode. You want YouTube? 2D barcode. Apple, let me give it to you. ⁓ because it I think it's hard to explain. It's hard to put into terms that you we were drowning in negativity. Lisa Smith: Smart. Yeah. Hehehehehe ⁓ Yeah. Lisa Wilson: I as like just both of us, both of our lives, and all the input we were getting from every direction was negative. And when we started talking to like our circles, they were also having that. And so it was kind of like, okay, you guys, if we all just doom scroll 247, we're gonna throw ourselves off a bridge. Like we've got to like figure out a way to like focus on the positive, give the positive some space. Right. And and that's where Lisa Smith: Yeah. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah, I like that. I like that. Lisa Wilson: This that's kind of like where we're at right now with the podcast is we ask questions that we want to know the answer to. And then we do a little bit of outreach, or we just talk about our own uninformed opinions in Instagram and what it says. And, you know, that's that's the podcast in a nutshell. ⁓ but I think like the thing that for me that it really is about is connection. Like I really want people to have a place to come every week that no matter what's going on in their life. Lisa Smith: Mm-hmm. You Yeah. Lisa Wilson: They're gonna come and check out for a minute and just hear whatever we're talking about, you know? And that that for me was was really important. ⁓ so from this first year, what is your favorite memory? Lisa Smith: So I thought a lot about our wins and things that I'm really proud of. And then some things that, know, definitely we could have done different, right? Like, I mean, we have to learn from all of that. But my favorite memory, I think, is thinking that we could have started this on a team's call. Lisa Wilson: Mm. Lisa Smith: Like now knowing how much goes into it, all the supplies, we were so naive. We were so cute. We were so cute. were just like, we were, we just thought, you know what, we want to chitty chat chat together about lots of things. So let's just get on Teams each week and then we'll just like post it. Like we'll just, yeah. I thought that was super cute of us and we should have known better, but we didn't. Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Naive. Yeah, adorable. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Lisa Smith: We didn't even ask. We didn't even ask. Nope. Lisa Wilson: No, no, girl. We just did like Lisa and I are so confident. We're like, we're gonna like we we opened an LLC because we were like, we're gonna have merch, we're gonna have a website, we're gonna be wildly popular. How how are we gonna handle all these sponsors? Like those are the problems that we were worried about at the beginning. Those are no longer problems, but they're not things we talk about anymore. ⁓ but the yeah we Lisa Smith: No, no longer problems. That is so funny. Hey, but hey, we're prepared. We're way more prepared. I think we swung the pendulum way too far because I think. Lisa Wilson: Always pr dude. We are always prepared. I'm now I'm crying laughing. Cause Lisa and I have this thing when like the unexpected happens as we do this jump where we're like, we're ready. Because we're ready for anything. ⁓ but yeah, no, we don't talk about that. ⁓ but I think my favorite memory from all of it is I mean, I if I have to pick one, my favorite thing overall about doing the podcast is making you laugh. That is that is my favorite part. It is the Lisa Smith: Yeah. No. Yeah. You have always made me laugh my whole life. Lisa Wilson: But man, I just I love making you laugh, especially in in harder times, like getting that laugh. So, because of the one episode that you guys don't know this, but the Jordan Catalano episode, which was High Vibes Only. So High Vibes Only, Lisa gets and she just got this horrible news just dumped all over her. And she shows up and she's like, I just can't make time for this right now. And I and I'm like, okay. Lisa Smith: Yeah. ⁓ Lisa Wilson: We'll figure out. She was like, Can we just take a minute? Can we just talk? Can we just talk this out? I'm like, sure. Like, what's going on? And and then it went from from this very intense personal crisis situation to me yelling about how I want to teach Jordan Cattle. Lisa Smith: Yeah. Sure. Lisa Wilson: I wanna teach you to read! So if you want to know what that is, go back and watch High Fives. But that is my favorite episode from the from the first year, just because it could have gone so, so wrong. But Jordan Catalano. Lisa Smith: I love that. I love that. So wrong. I'm glad I didn't walk away that day because we wouldn't have got that. mean, come on. I never know what you're going to say. I have no idea, clearly. And you've just got them like right in your pocket, ready to go at all times. Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Yep. So you guys, right now, with the roles that we have, I write the episode, but I and I share the episode prep. So Lisa and I come up with the question together. We talk about what's important to us around that question. We talk about what kind of things we want to know about that question. And then we show up. But I I do an episode prep where I send Lisa the outline and basically the spine of what we're gonna talk about, but I save all my stuff so I can throw it at her live. Lisa Smith: Yeah. Lisa Wilson: It's a good time. ⁓ so what do you think is the biggest thing that you could not have prepared yourself for? If someone had said, Hey, you need to know this, you'd be like tut tut, that's for other people to worry about. Lisa Smith: As you do. ⁓ ⁓ well, I didn't realize how much time goes into like social media and all of that. I mean, I know that it's a hard job. I've watched other people do it and I always said I would never do it. I don't want to do it. Didn't want to be involved in it. And I found myself at the beginning being involved in that. And I, it ate my lunch because I think Lisa Wilson: Mm. Mm. Mm. Yeah. Mm. Lisa Smith: We came from an industry that, and we're still kind of this way, very in the moment, need validation in the moment, need numbers in the moment, need to know how successful you are, track your success. Social media shifted me back into that whole checking stats, like trying to figure out like different ways to do things and. ⁓ Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Lisa Smith: I'm not a professional marketer, so I had no idea what I was doing. So that would be the biggest surprise that I think it's way harder than it looks. It's not just posting. I mean, to me it was. What about you? Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Yeah, yeah. So so I think the biggest surprise for me was all the crying that happened. Like, no, listen, so you guys I'm not joking when I tell you that I have cried more over this podcast than I have over my marriage of 30 years. And it's because and I've I don't know why. Maybe it's because I'm in menopause and I, you know, like I go from like being dead inside to crying about everything that's just hormones. But Lisa Smith: ⁓ yeah, yeah, Hard. Lisa Wilson: You guys, this is it's like you, you really like Lisa and I really put our heart into doing this podcast because it matters to us. ⁓ because the why matters to us. Like we want that connection, we want to create a community for a for places for people to go and and feel seen and feel like not alone. Those are very important things for Lisa and myself. So like. Lisa Smith: Yeah. Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: If it if we have a bad episode or like we release a short and six people watch it in a planet of billions, I t I get really upset and like I I just didn't think that I was gonna cry so much. How about you? Lisa Smith: Mm-hmm. Well, but but but Lisa, that's so funny because like at the beginning you weren't as invested in those numbers. But now that you're doing the social media, it's very different when you have all the access to all the analytics and you can see real time, any time, day or night who's watching, who's streaming, who's liking, who's commenting. It becomes like a really insane loop. Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Yep. Yeah. Yeah. Lisa Smith: Well, I will tell you, I would have to agree ⁓ that there's been a lot of tears. I mean, I remember one day, you'll remember this because I thought I've just ruined Christmas, like Lisa's gonna be so mad at me. At the beginning, I was trying to do some of the backend work that you're doing right now. And it was very hard. It was very hard. Lisa Wilson: Mm. You were doing all the back end work. Yeah. Yeah. Lisa Smith: And I wasn't good at it. I'm not a technical person. was learning ground up, but you're doing it all right now. So, ⁓ yeah, but still it was very, very hard. were learning a new platform. We were learning all the things, trying to figure out how to make things easier. And we were spending so much time. I was investing so much time and you know, you know what that feels like. and we had just gotten three episodes in the can. Lisa Wilson: have a g I d I only have to take care of myself. It's very different. Don't even compare it. But yeah. Yeah. Lisa Smith: And so I was trying to get through and start editing episode one, and then I was going to go through, but it takes a long, long time to edit, especially how we used to do it. So I was doing that. And then all of sudden and like getting our clips ready, you know, for social media. And I thought I had episode one, like all done. I move on to episode two and all of sudden they like all disappeared and I didn't know. Lisa Wilson: Mm-hmm. Mm. Lisa Smith: I had been working on that for hours and hours and hours, like literally at that point, like a couple of days. And I think this was like a Sunday. Yeah. It was like Sunday morning and I had just started to get back into it again. And ⁓ I was like, all of our stuff is gone. It's just gone. Erase didn't know where it went. It went into the void somewhere. I hit something. I touched something and I just started crying so bad. I just walked right into my shower with my clothes on and just stood under the water. Lisa Wilson: Days. Yeah. Lisa Smith: bawling my eyes out because I didn't know how I was going to tell you that three weeks of work was gone and I erased them. Luckily they weren't gone. They were just in another folder that I had no idea how to access. I had no idea what I was doing, but it was real. Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Yeah. No, listen. So you guys, when I tell you when Lisa Lisa, you said earlier that we just started. So listen, we did just start. Did we watch any videos? No, we did not. Did we did we read any guidance besides what was on the platform screen? Nope. And it's it's it's the thing that I remember this distinctly because Lisa calls me and she's like, You're gonna be really upset. I'm like, what am I gonna be upset about? And you're like, I've lost the episodes. Lisa Smith: Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Lisa Wilson: And I just remember this like wave of calm. And I'm like, girl, I downloaded those. They're on my they're on my desktop. We will figure this out. And I just marched right upstairs and I'm like, here they are. I've got them. But where did they go? And then who did we call to come help us? Yes, we called Doug because Doug, like you guys, I must call his name a hundred times a day. I called his name before this episode because my headphones weren't working. And so we called him and Doug's like, like, calm down. Lisa Smith: You sure did! You couldn't hear me. Lisa Wilson: We'll find it. It's right. I'm sure it's here. And I'm and I'm you guys, when I get upset, remember how I said earlier I panic up so to go? Like I panic. But I'm trying not to like show weakness for Lisa because I don't want her to be upset. Lisa Smith: Yeah. Because I was already, I was already dying. Lisa Wilson: Yeah, so long story short, ⁓ if you're thinking about podcasting, make sure you watch the tutorials first. That's the lesson we learned on that. ⁓ do your research. Lisa Smith: Do your research, watch the tutorials and know what the heck you're even doing. I just thought I could just like click, click, click, click, click. Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Yeah. Okay, but look, I mean we still put ⁓ out. Like they it looked like it would give someone a seizure if they watched it today. Lisa Smith: Yeah, we did. Okay, okay, so I remember, I remember you were gonna edit one of, something I couldn't, I can't remember what it was. And you like posted it and then you called me frantic, like frantic, like it was like, ee, ee, ee, ee, ee, ee, ee, ee, ee, ee, ee, Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Yeah. Correct. Yeah. Lisa Smith: It was just like jerking all around and you're like, what do I do? What do I do? I'm like, we'll just take it down. Lisa Wilson: And and we were having we were having sidebar conversations that were supposed to be that we had edited out, but for some reason the episode the F like Lisa's like Lisa Smith: We were like, Like, we'll just edit this out and then just having these conversations but they were in the actual episode. ⁓ my gosh. No. Lisa Wilson: So listen, you guys, we don't do that anymore. If you don't like it, you don't have to show up. But we don't spend this kind of time editing anymore. And our podcast platform has come a long way in editing. But I remember calling Lisa from the car, panic, because I'm like, the wrong episode loaded, the wrong episode loaded. Lisa Smith: Yeah, yeah. Lisa Wilson: Lisa's like, it's okay. I'm just gonna go delete it. It's fine. We're gonna we're gonna find it. And then she calls me the next week and is like, Lisa, I'm like, what? She's like, this episode's gotta be the wrong episode. It like we look like we're animatronic. Like you can't even hear what we're saying because of all the skipping. It's terrible. And I'm like, but that I don't like and you got listen, when I tell you. Lisa Smith: Delete it? Yep. ⁓ my God. I don't know. ⁓ so funny. Lisa Wilson: That they could have made a a podcast about not podcasting with Lisa and Lisa, it we would have been the stars because it was a it was a damn hot mess. Like let me tell you. But I think I th it is funny and yeah. Yeah. Lisa Smith: Oh bad. so funny, though. Now when I look back, because it was so terrible, like it was really bad. But hey, we were just doing our best. Lisa Wilson: I mean, the beginning of this season is is so rough, right? Like we're getting better. ⁓ we're like I said, we're and I said in the old call open, we're we're 43 episodes in, we're getting better. it will continue to improve. And maybe if we ever get a sponsor, I'll just hire someone to do it and then we'll be done. Best thing ever. but let's talk about like the one thing that that I think people don't know about podcasts is it's expensive. Lisa Smith: you're doing. Yeah. OK, it is. It's it is. Mm hmm. Mm Lisa Wilson: Right. So like we both had to get new computers because neither one of us had the the space or the RAM, whatever it's called. And then we had to buy new microphones because the microphones like, look, I see these shows with these girls sitting on a couch, like holding their microphone in their hand. Lisa Smith: Yep. The RAM. Yep. they're doing it on their iPhone and their Apple EarPods which is fine. We were doing it on our Apple AirPods or Apple headsets before too so it can be done. can be done. It's just a little different. Lisa Wilson: I don't that I don't know how the I don't know. Unless there's Yeah. When we first started Yeah. But it like it not our style. Like I don't I we care way too much about how everything sounds to like just sit on the couch with a handheld microphone. But like back to the cost. So there's also podcast platform fees that you need. Like, can you do it like old school? Sure. But y it's a lot easier if you just do the platform. Lisa Smith: Hmm. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Lisa Wilson: The AI that I bought for us, like to help us with all this stuff, right? And like it adds up chink, chink, chink. So, like, you know, just be like, and I don't want this to deter anybody. If you want to do a podcast, you don't need all the things we bought. You could literally do it on your iPhone. It's just gonna be a longer road for you. That would be like a little bit harder. the first time. Lisa Smith: Yeah, a little bit harder. Yeah. Lisa Wilson: The stuff that we got completely wrong and right. So, first of all, what was your favorite episode? We already said what was your favorite episode? Who was your favorite guest? Lisa Smith: Okay, so we just started doing guests with High Five Hot ⁓ ⁓ I wasn't ⁓ here for most of them and I've gone back and listened to all those episodes. I love them all. All of our guests have been awesome ⁓ and ⁓ has brought something else, something new to the table. So that's really hard for me to decide because there's no way I could pick a favorite because they all brought something Lisa Wilson: Mm. Mm-hmm. Mm. Mm. I can't pick a favorite. Mm mm. Lisa Smith: interesting and personal to the pod. So I loved them all. Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Yep. And and I love them all too. And you guys like I I cannot thank them enough. Like we're gonna do a little thank you at the end, but my gosh, I just really, really like them. was there so I wanna take a second to talk about thumbnails because you guys and I have this AI agent that won't let me post anything on Instagram that is not a real because it says people don't want to hear about our podcast. They just want to like listen to the podcast. So Lisa Smith: Yeah. Okay. Lisa Wilson: I keep getting reprimanded by a robot every time I post something personal on our podcast platform on Instagram. But I'm gonna see if I can't build a reel of all the thumbnails from the very beginning because you guys, some of these thumbnails are so bad. They're like laugh out loud. Like the just the work that goes into making thumbnails, I don't think people appreciate it. I think that they they don't get it. Lisa Smith: Mm-hmm. So I never used the AI generated thumbnails in our previous podcast because I thought they were so terrible. So yeah, I never did. I would just screenshot us. But that's not right. I'm not saying that's right. just these, the AI generated ones are terrible. They put me in weird outfits. They like, I'm like have weird clothes all the time. And then. Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You can Lisa Smith: My face looks so like I don't even look like myself, which I mean, sometimes it makes it better, but sometimes it makes us look like 20 years older. And sometimes they're like. I'll choose like the worst one. Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Listen, today I put so I create all of our thumbnails using Chat GPT now because it's it once it has one that you like, it can recreate it over and over, which is that's what you want. You want to create a brand in your thumbnails so it doesn't look like a different group every single time. But today one of my comments was literally, can we not look so dried up? Lisa Smith: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Like, I mean, some of them are so bad. Like, I mean, I know I have wrinkles, but like, do we have to like enhance them on a thumbnail, which is going to just like come on. And it's not about how we look, but I'm just saying I don't look like a dinosaur. Lisa Wilson: ⁓ Yeah. No, but like my I remember I posted my first thumbnail. We look like a dinosaur, but my nephew, so I posted one that I had you I made with our AI agent that that we paid all that money for. And I, you know, I don't know. I'm like, this is a scoring high, so we'll just use that one. And my nephew calls me and he's like, Who is this? I'm like, it's me. It's me. And he's like, Lisa Smith: ⁓ huh. Who's on your podcast with the same color hair as you? Lisa Wilson: Lisa, this looks like you're sixty years old and a hundred pounds heavier. I'm like, well Yeah, it's not Lisa Smith: It didn't even have your same face shape or anything. Lisa Wilson: No, so just kind of some slack when you see that. But I think that one of the the positive takeaways is that we have both learned so much about all the different things that are YouTube and Apple and the thumbnails and the show notes and the all those different things that I mean things that used to really cause us a lot of pain, I don't think cause us pain anymore. I think we're just like, ⁓ Listen. Lisa Smith: Yeah. Yeah. Except for Facebook. Lisa Wilson: I'm banned for life on Facebook. I can't Lisa Smith: I can't get in. So, I mean, hey, we'll just never I'm not going to say never is never. But like, honestly, that is the one thing we haven't been able to figure out. Lisa Wilson: I mean No, I literally said to Doug, I'm like, when we make money on this and someone wants to come in and pay us, they will pay to get us on Facebook and figure it out. Like, but everything that we have tried, we've been bested every single time. I don't know what I did. I don't even remember having a Facebook account, but they banned me for life, which was kind of a bummer. Lisa Smith: I'm surprised that my computer is not broken for how many times I've slammed the screen down, frustrated because I can't get into Facebook for the pod, many times. Lisa Wilson: I mean, Lisa, we you guys, again, how the sausage is made. Lisa and I had such a bad experience with social media and our editing and all of that with Gold Star Whores. We hired people to help us with high five hot mess. And then we ended up having to fix everything on our own because we couldn't make any of it work. It was just so listen. There is no easy solution here. You can't hire your way out of these problems. You've got to just sit and figure it out. But it was it was the worst. And we again, we spent a lot of money trying to yeah, but we're past it. I feel really good about it. And again, should we ever get a a sponsor, then maybe they can help us. Lisa Smith: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. It's been, it's been rough. It's been rough. Well, I think, yeah, I think to be fair with all of that too, though, I had all the passwords and I had everything and I had taken a break. And you had to go back in there. Lisa Wilson: But you sent me all the passwords and it wouldn't let me in. But there's a there's a whole episode on it, you guys. Yeah. Lisa Smith: Yeah, there's just there's something weird. Yeah, there's just something weird with like it was set up correctly. It was just something weird that we could. Yeah, anyways. Lisa Wilson: Well listen, like I was in a different when I log in from a different IP address, it flags all the things. I have to even if I enter the password, it still is like, We don't know that it's you. Go to this remote location, look for a bag under the chair, take it out, turn it around three times, put it back. I mean, it's extensive. Lisa Smith: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And I think that's something to think about too. Like we set it all up on my devices, on all of my things. And then when I was out of pocket and you had to figure it out, you ended up just having to open new stuff because you couldn't, you weren't able to access it. So it really wasn't anyone's fault of how we set it up. It was that you weren't able to access it. So maybe one day in the future we'll have some, it'll look different for us, but Lisa Wilson: Yep. Yep. Mm. No. Yeah. Thanks, dude. And you created the logo. The logo for High Five Hot Mess. This is Lisa Smith original. And it's absolutely gorgeous. I love it. I love our logo. I think it's true. Okay, listen. I hate Canva is my nemesis. I hate it. I'm terrible at it. All right, so now we're gonna do get to the the questions, which I just love. They're always my favorite. Okay, so who is most likely between the two of us Lisa Smith: Now you did a great job figuring it out. Mm-hmm. ⁓ Kamber. ⁓ Kamber. Man. I love camp. Okay. Lisa Wilson: To talk to a complete stranger about our podcast. A hundred percent. If you see me in the wild, like look at me like the perfume lady at the mall, because I'm gonna talk to you about my podcast. Like, it's gonna happen. Who is most likely to make a complete stranger feel seen? You. A hundred percent. ⁓ who is most likely to get a phone call from family after an episode drops? Lisa Smith: You. 100%. Ahem. Me. Yeah. You. Well, I don't... Lisa Wilson: You my family doesn't care at all about what I do in my spare time. Your family calls you. Lisa Smith: Well, if I say something, yeah, if I say something that is a yeah, upsets them. Yeah. But you're but you have a circle that talks a lot more about the podcast. I just get I just get people who are upset. Yeah. Lisa Wilson: I do. You're really good though. And I I I mean, I I think so you and again, you nobody knows all this, but Lisa's very sensitive about making sure she's respectful, making sure she doesn't use bad language, making sure that she's, you know, honoring and respecting everyone. And I'm like, fuck off. This is what I wanna say. So, you know. Lisa Smith: Yeah. You mean, that's why we have to hit the explicit. ⁓ Lisa Wilson: Explicit every single time. This guy right here. ⁓ okay, so who is most likely to throw hands over the podcast? 100%. I will fight you in the street. Come prepared. Come prepared. ⁓ who is most likely to say I trust you while technology is falling apart? 100%. You guys, Lisa's the best. Lisa Smith: You. Yeah. Yep. Yep. Yes, you will. me. Yeah, me. I do, I do trust that we'll figure it out and I trust that you will always make the right choice. You because you always do. So I trust you. I trust you explicitly. Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And it means a lot to me. So thank you for doing that. I appreciate it. Who's most likely to spend three hours fixing something no one cares about? Lisa Smith: Mm-hmm. I mean, I'm like, we can like and I'm all about branding. I'm all about standards, but there's like there's some things that it's like. I want you to have you have your life back. You can move on. You're like, no, no. Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Yeah. So one time you guys look so we were told from and we'll get into listener feedback in a second, but we were told by somebody that was watching our podcast that they felt like they were at work on a Teams call and they didn't like it. So my nephew was telling me, who was helping us for a while, that we're supposed to go back and forth. It's supposed to switch between speakers, and that's what YouTube looks for as well, and it pushes you. Lisa Smith: Yeah. Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: You know, all this stuff. So Lisa and I are trying it, but like literally you guys, when it would switch to me, it would show my house, the house behind me, the dog over there, the I mean, it was like I could not get it to work. Lisa Smith: Ha ha! Widespan and like I mean We're we don't have a studio. This is these this is set up somewhere in our homes. So we don't There might be a mess right over there Or something going on over there Lisa Wilson: No. Correct. Yeah. Yeah. Well, or like our our first podcast. So Lisa is very into branding. And I just want to make sure we're clear about that. That means a lot to her. And she's very good at it. She's actually our brand ambassador for our company, for our brand. And the first episode, like we're I'm like, what did you think? How did it go? Whoa, what she's like, Could you move the coffee pot that's in your background and paper towels? Lisa Smith: I think there was paper towels too. And you're like, Oh, I didn't even know. I didn't even care. Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Yeah. It's like, ⁓ okay, I'm sorry, I'll figure that out. ⁓ and then this one is is very easy. Who's most likely to use the F word during an episode? Me, a hundred percent. And then who is most likely to overshare during an episode? Lisa Smith: You. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. I mean, sometimes I feel like I do, but for sure. Do you agree? Lisa Wilson: Yeah. I mean, you guys, yes, I I think that's absolutely true. So let's talk about we both got kind of got the idea for pop culture or for podcasts because we both love podcasts, right? Like, and I have figured out that I only love a couple of podcasts. Like I'm not an avid podcast listener, and there's a lot about the different podcast universe that that I don't know or Lisa Smith: Yeah. Lisa Wilson: Don't have any interest in learning, but I still love my two podcasts. So, Lisa, what is your favorite podcast? Who do you share episodes with of your favorite podcast? Lisa Smith: we'll see it kind of changes. So I think I was super into dating detectives last year, but I feel like I need more comedy in my life. ⁓ And I mean, there are some other podcasts that I really like, but right now one that just makes me laugh every single time is the Giggly Squad. know, I think they're hilarious. I laugh every single time. So that is my favorite. Lisa Wilson: Okay. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Mm. Lisa Smith: What's yours? What do you recommend? Lisa Wilson: Our podcast. I recommend our podcast to everybody I meet. And I always make sure I share an episode. But this is a good transition because we're gonna I I you guys, I you've heard me say this a million times. I love the handsome podcast. I listen to that a lot. I love the dating detectives. I share that. And I'll I'm gonna tell a story about that because it's funny. So our waiter at this restaurant we go to, we're very friendly with. We hang out with when we're not at the restaurant, and we were talking about. Lisa Smith: Yeah. Lisa Wilson: ⁓ he is starting to date again and he hasn't dated for a really long time. And he was getting like weird vibes from this girl. Like she was sending him weird text messages, like all hours of the night. And I was like, You need to watch the dating detectives and listen to it. And so I was sent it to him. And then I was like, ⁓ but but I I just I feel like it gives you an awareness of what people are really capable of. That if you're someone Lisa Smith: Mm-hmm. Yeah. It kind of scars you though. Lisa Wilson: Writing on a rainbow, as you love to say, you might not think that those things are possible. So he's very sweet. And I want, don't want him to be, you know, taken advantage of by one of these nef yes, by one of these people. So I sent it to him. I sent the same three episodes to every single person, my hairdresser, Steve, you name it. And then I was talking about our podcast. And he was like, ⁓ my God, I want to hear it. Like, what is it about every time? Lisa Smith: Yeah. bamboozled. Mm-hmm. Okay. Lisa Wilson: Every time. So I was like, here's the here's the 2D barcode. So he scanned it. He's I'm gonna listen to it. And I was like, okay, so the next week we see him. And a couple of weeks later we see him. And I he was like, Hey, I started listening to your podcast. He's like, but then I got really into the dating detectives. And now I've listened to the whole thing. And I'm like, bro, are you serious, right? Lisa Smith: Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: Like, look, we can't compete with that sometimes because our stuff is really good. But it was, it was, it was really, really fun. So part of having a podcast is the listening audience, right? So one of the things I always want to talk about is like our best feedback that we have from our our community of practice. So we have Lisa Smith: No, yeah, it is really good. That's funny. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: Three super fans that listen to every single they listen to every single hot ⁓ Gold Star Whores episode and now they're listening to every single high five hot mess episode. And I same three. I mean, you know, I can't, I'm not gonna get greedy. ⁓ so I love them. I love them. And so one of them said, I thought I was the only one. I love listening to high five hot mess because it really makes me feel like I'm not alone. Lisa Smith: Hey, I appreciate them. I appreciate them. Hmm. ⁓ I love that. Lisa Wilson: I thought it was and they genuinely like it was again it these are all text messages because I think I'm gonna have to pay people to give us comments in YouTube or Instagram. Lisa Smith: That is hey, I mean, we've we've gotten some we've gotten some like trolly ones, but. Lisa Wilson: I mean, listen. So the trolls are the best because, like, look, so I mean, the s no, nothing's gonna look, you wanna come at me? You better come at me because I am like stone cold on the inside. Unless it's about my podcast, and then I will cry. But listener feedback, no. So I was I respond to the to the comments because we do care. We wanna hear from you guys and Lisa Smith: Nothing's going to hurt our feelings, Yeah. Yeah. Lisa Wilson: If you respond to us, if you're watching us on YouTube and you comment there, I'm like notified anywhere in the world that I'm at that we have a comment and I make sure I respond. And if you leave us a comment on Instagram, I run that so I see it too, right? So Lisa calls me and she's like, I saw the comment. And I'm like, look, these two, these two people were fighting over the fact that I had said something about, you know, we're born on a planet where everything is free and now we have to pay for it. Lisa Smith: Yeah Lisa Wilson: Right? Like we're we figured out a way to make money on it or whatever. I had like three guys who got super worked up about that. And I'm like, ⁓ listen, what did I tell you about those comments? I was just so happy. Lisa Smith: Yeah. Hey, it's engagement. It doesn't really matter. You know, they always say bad press is still press. So I just thought it was funny. It's like, why do you care? Why do you care to correct someone? But I guess, mean, whatever. Lisa Wilson: It's engagement. A hundred percent. I'm look, I I don't I don't and again I'm just I was so excited about the engagement that's all I cared about was that somebody out there is is engaging. ⁓ and then we got like there's also the the I was not wearing my glasses. So today I was in, you know, looking at our like annual stats for the show to get ready and how excited we both are to to make it to this milestone. And I had my glasses on, which I don't always have. Lisa Smith: Like, don't care. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: Them on when I'm looking at the YouTube comments, and I see that there was a comment from what I thought was Michelle, one of my friends, Michelle. And it was like, You look so pretty, you don't have to worry about anything. And I was like, Thank you, that's so nice. XOXO, Lisa. Well, today I realized it was Michael, some random dude out there, and I'm throwing him hugs and kisses. Lisa Smith: Yeah. Xoxo Michael! Lisa Wilson: And then there's another one that is like, you are so pretty. Thank you. Like I don't know which one of us they're talking about, Lisa. It could be either one. Like I I it could be either one. But you know, like those are the comments that we've had in YouTube. But the comments that like our friends send us in text messages, like I know Lisa, your family was really was really liking the Jordan Grummet episodes because they were kind of shedding some light on some things that Lisa Smith: Thank you. I mean... You Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Lisa Wilson: They wanted answers on. And then my hairdresser, who I love, love, love, has listened to every single episode and listened to the last season as well. She's one of the three. And she sent me a message from the hospital room when her husband had just had surgery and was like, if I didn't have this podcast to listen to, I would have lost my mind. Like, you guys, that's that's what we're fucking talking about when we say connection, is we don't want you guys to go through the shit by yourselves, right? Like Lisa Smith: Mmm. I love that. Yeah. Lisa Wilson: Like there it even if everything is great, like we want to hear about it. We this is what we're here for you as well as for ourselves. Even though after reviewing a couple of episodes from season one, nobody talked but me, because I didn't let anybody else say anything. So I'm trying to trying to learn from that one as well. ⁓ so when did you realize, Lisa, that you were like we have a podcast? Has that moment happened for you yet? Lisa Smith: You Hmm Mm-hmm. I think it was when we were together ⁓ back in May, I think, well, it wasn't not necessarily May, but we were together last October. And when we were kind of trying to like decide what really matters to us, I think that was probably my moment of like, hey, this feels more authentic to me. This feels more us. Lisa Wilson: Mm. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Lisa Smith: And this feels like something that we can build upon and we can learn from and because it's not about being an expert in anything, it's about learning. We're continuously learning every day. And I just felt like this would give us an opportunity to do that together. And then when we came back together just a couple of months ago, I felt like we had yet another just breakthrough of like, hey, this Lisa Wilson: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Lisa Smith: feels right. This feels like a good direction, like a good pivot. Lisa Wilson: That's our that's our anchor. That was what I remember thinking, okay, this is this is the anchor that we're gonna tie this podcast to. Because with I felt like our pod like I love talking to you. I talk to you all day long every day. But talking to you in this environment, sometimes I wanna I wanna show up as our authentic selves, but I also want to make sure that we talk about the topic and that we don't because Lisa and I do this. We start and then we woo and then we start. Lisa Smith: Yeah. Yeah, me too. Yep, yep. All the time. And I appreciate you keeping us on track because this podcast, this anniversary podcast, if you wouldn't have done that, ⁓ we would right now be talking about my grocery order that I just picked up. I mean, honestly, that's what. Lisa Wilson: Wait a bait the audience on groceries, Lisa. Now I want to hear about it. ⁓ so so from this last year, we've had lots of high fives. I mean, I am I'm so proud of us and the fact that we have like I said, we started out like we are pivot queens and we are still pivot queens. And I and I'm so proud of us for remaining true to the anchor. Lisa Smith: No. I think so. Mm-hmm. Ahem. Lisa Wilson: That we talked about and also the positivity, because it's real easy, you guys, when you're again how the sausage is made, but when you're working with these different AI agents or even a human, like drama and chaos sells, you know. So everything it was telling us was like, be crazy, everything's unhinged. Like, you know, and it's just like, we're not unhinged. Like, what why stop saying that? So, like. Lisa Smith: Mm-hmm. No, we're not. Lisa Wilson: It really like I'm proud of us for staying true to what we wanted to talk about. And I you know, I'm thinking of Marci's episode because Marci and I really taught like she really made me feel better about stumbling along the way and like nobody has all the answers and she's figuring it out too. And I considered her to be really successful. And you know, she has her own brand that I absolutely love. And I love yeah. Did I tell you I ordered a dozen of those candles? Lisa Smith: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. I love my candle. Love, love, You did yesterday. Lisa Wilson: the track. ⁓ but so like I I think yeah we've been t friends for 30 years. We have lots of high fives from all of that. And we have had two podcasts. So that I mean we got that going for us. But out of all of those, all of the podcast episodes, what what is your high five from the last year? Lisa Smith: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. I think that we weren't afraid to start over. I think that that is something because we do, yeah, we are, we do pivot whenever we need, but we pivoted fast. We were like, hey, this is kind of where we think we should take this. And we did it and we went like all in, ⁓ in order to do that. Now, did we swing the pendulum a little bit, probably too far right at the gecko? Yeah, sure, we sure did. However, comma. Lisa Wilson: Mm. Yeah. Correct. Yeah. Lisa Smith: We wouldn't have known if we wouldn't have tried. We just weren't afraid to try. And so I think in a world where ⁓ I take very calculated risks in my personal life, and ⁓ I think this podcast is just like, hey, let's just do it. Let's just figure it out. Let's jump in head first and figure it out. So that has been my biggest high five is because it's given me a different level of confidence. Lisa Wilson: Mm. Lisa Smith: that maybe I didn't have before to just try things and if it doesn't work, it doesn't work and we're just gonna move on. What about you? Lisa Wilson: Mine is confidence as well. Like I I have learned to do things that I never anticipated I would ever learn to do. I've met people doing this that we would have never met normally. and I think that that is that for me is my biggest high five is the confidence and then the people that we've met and along the way. And I and I look forward to the next year. I just think that it's awesome. But before we wrap up this session. Lisa Smith: So true. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: to make sure that we thank our OGs. ⁓ So is a handful of people that, and I'm gonna name them because I can. It's our podcast. We can do whatever we want. ⁓ but that ⁓ we not have done this without them. So the first is Rob. Rob, you know, and ⁓ in Star Whores he was like he was our North Star. Like we really needed him ⁓ to us and to figure it out. Lisa Smith: Yeah. Mm-hmm. Yeah. We couldn't have gotten through. Mm-hmm. Yeah, he was. Lisa Wilson: No, Rob was, I mean, just amazing and so so helpful. And then ⁓ Doug. So Doug has been all in on helping us with this podcast and making sure that we have what we need. But also like he's really like a big fan of the show. And he's really like he tell he likes all our posts, he shares everything, he writes comments and everything, like Lisa Smith: Yeah, absolutely. Thank you, Doug. Bye. Lisa Wilson: He really believes in this and he thinks that this is something that the world needs and it shows. And then my nephew, who I could not like Tanner, I could not have gotten this launched without him. And he is, I mean, you know, did he tell me that his food post got 3,000 likes on the same day that we got seven? Sure. Yeah. He was just trying to keep it real. He was just trying to make sure I didn't get like ahead of myself. Lisa Smith: Mm-hmm. ⁓ Tanner. Mm-mm. Didn't get a big head or anything like that. Lisa Wilson: head or anything like that. ⁓ And then I the last like by name, there's many, but I gotta think Hillary too, because Hillary, like she was like, ⁓ she was our friend and she showed up and like got us into our socials and got us our LLC, helped us follow our business license I mean, all of those things ⁓ we could not have done without Hillary. So a shout out to her. But ⁓ I mean, really the most important thing is that ⁓ we might not 3,000 likes. ⁓ Lisa Smith: Hmm ⁓ yeah. Yeah. Not at all. Lisa Wilson: If we ever did, I might pass out. ⁓ I I I would have to I'd have to go buy something nice for both Lisa and I, just so you guys know. But I I just I I it's not the point. The point is is that I know that whether you watch our short and you laugh, or you watch our short and talk trash, either way you're watching our short and you're engaging with us, and that's what we're here for. It was all about connection. So as long as we continue. Lisa Smith: I mean... Mm-mm. Yeah. Lisa Wilson: To create that place, I think that that we're killing it. What about you, Lisa? Lisa Smith: And I think that's what we thought was important at the beginning of all of this is that downloads and likes and shares, I mean, are they great? Yeah, but that's not why we were doing it. And I think we lost track of why we were doing this in the first place. anyway, yeah, just keep liking and comment, I guess. Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Yeah. So thank you to all of the people that helped us get here. We really, really appreciate it. Lisa Smith: Absolutely. Well, and finally to everyone out there who's listened, whether you've been here since Gold Star Whores you're just hearing us for the first time, ⁓ or you've been along the ride as we pivoted into High Five Hot Mess. If you've watched every episode or you just were scrolling and saw us randomly on your feed, thank you. Lisa Wilson: Mm. Lisa Smith: Definitely ⁓ glad that you're watching, glad that you're listening, and we appreciate ⁓ all of you out there. Every comment, every message, ⁓ trash comments or not, ⁓ we appreciate it. So it means a lot. Lisa Wilson: it's been a long time since I've had a perv you know? Same for you, Lisa. So ⁓ hey. ⁓ I mean Lisa Smith: I just yeah, I've had it. I've had a couple. ⁓ But anyway, ⁓ it's all about community. It's why we're here and we're going to get there, ⁓ you know, organically and in the right time. So. Lisa Wilson: Yeah. One stream at a time. And we we really appreciate it. You guys, so ⁓ before I wrap it up, wanted just quickly let you guys know that Lisa and I, in celebration of our one year together, ⁓ went back and looked at some of our Gold Star Whores episodes ⁓ we tagged a couple that we felt we wanted to bring into the High Five Hot Mess universe, ⁓ so that we could complete that circle and you guys would be able to see where we started. ⁓ Lisa Smith: Yep. Hmm Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: And the two episodes that we chose are very relevant today. one that we really, really loved is really just about, you know, how do you pivot? Right. And then the second one that we did was about, you know, it's it's hard to think that you're one thing and be that one thing and not get universally loved for it, right? And that is it's all about being authentic. And we felt that that really resonated still today. So we brought those two. They're going to be shown over the next couple of weeks so you guys can see those. ⁓ but Lisa Smith: Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: Just remember you guys to roll your shoulders back, unclench jaw, which I still always do. Drink your water. Drink your water, which I have not done today, but I will. And then high five somebody. You guys, thanks so, so much. Have a great time. And again, thank you for an amazing year. We look forward to the next one. Bye. Lisa Smith: Mm-hmm. Me too. Mm-hmm. Me neither. Thank you. Absolutely. Bye.
