Latest / V / Tim Walz's Dumpster Fire Debate Performance (Ep.55)
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Good morning and welcome to Bungie in a Report Early Edition.
- 0:02Speaker 1: I'm your host, Evita. J.D. Vance epically fact-checks the fact-checkers
- 0:08Speaker 1: on the Springfield Haitian migrant invasion. Tim Walz doubles down
- 0:13Speaker 1: on his Tiananmen Square lie.
- 0:15Speaker 2: J.D.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Holds a referendum on the Biden-Kamala censorship regime. Two grandparents
- 0:20Speaker 1: and their grandson drowned in North Carolina after the flooding
- 0:23Speaker 1: brought their roof down and help was not there in time.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Kamala says, Disaster aid should be based on race and gender.
- 0:32Speaker 1: And the Kamala Biden administration sends more troops to the
- 0:34Speaker 1: Middle East and Poland amid the hurricane crisis. All this
- 0:38Speaker 1: on Bongina Report, early edition. I don't know if you
- 0:52Speaker 1: guys know this, but I don't get a lot of
- 0:54Speaker 1: sleep when we have these debates because it goes really
- 0:59Speaker 1: late into the night. Then I have to add in
- 1:01Speaker 1: all of the content from the debate into the show
- 1:05Speaker 1: this morning. But I'm going to deliver a good show,
- 1:08Speaker 1: I think, because I have done a lot of reflecting.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Even though it was a late night, even though I
- 1:12Speaker 1: went to bed a lot later than I usually do
- 1:14Speaker 1: for this early morning show, I did a lot of
- 1:16Speaker 1: thinking about what happened last night. And we have a
- 1:19Speaker 1: lot to discuss today about this debate. And you guys
- 1:23Speaker 1: know that I've been critical of of J.D. Vance at times,
- 1:26Speaker 1: skeptical of some things that he said, particularly about Iran,
- 1:29Speaker 1: foreign policy. But last night, J.D. Vance was objectively more
- 1:34Speaker 1: competent and confident than Tim Walz. No one can deny that.
- 1:39Speaker 1: I want you to take a look at these photos
- 1:41Speaker 1: comparing Tim Walz and J.D. Vance's eyes. And now if
- 1:48Speaker 1: you're listening, these were pretty much the expressions throughout the night.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Vance was exuding confidence. His gaze was fixed. It was narrowed.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Walsh's eyes were wide and fearful. Someone said it looks
- 2:02Speaker 1: like predator versus prey, butter versus seed oils. You guys
- 2:06Speaker 1: get the picture. You know, in life, so many of
- 2:10Speaker 1: our interactions and perceptions are nonverbal. And we're going to
- 2:15Speaker 1: get into the specifics of what was said last night,
- 2:17Speaker 1: the policy. Don't worry. I know you guys are smart people.
- 2:20Speaker 1: You all care about the policy a lot. But all
- 2:22Speaker 1: of us, myself included, we can't help it that stature, tone, fluidity,
- 2:27Speaker 1: facial expressions, these things matter. They communicate vital information to
- 2:32Speaker 1: the viewers that go beyond the substance of the words
- 2:35Speaker 1: being spoken. People are attracted to strong leadership, especially after
- 2:41Speaker 1: enduring and enduring the uncertainty of being led by a
- 2:45Speaker 1: man so obviously in physical and mental decline. And it's
- 2:51Speaker 1: everything other than the content I think that's going to
- 2:54Speaker 1: be really impactful on voters. It's strength versus weakness, confidence
- 2:58Speaker 1: versus fear. That's what was communicated to America last night. Now,
- 3:06Speaker 1: a lot of people have taken the stylistic changes, the
- 3:12Speaker 1: tonal differences between Vance and Walsh and said it was
- 3:15Speaker 1: a decisive victory for J.D. Vance. I don't think that's
- 3:19Speaker 1: the case. I don't think that Tim Wallace won either.
- 3:22Speaker 1: But I don't think that Shady Vance delivered the victory
- 3:24Speaker 1: many of us think he did or many of us
- 3:26Speaker 1: think that he should have. And I'm going to explain why.
- 3:29Speaker 1: But first, I want to set the stage here. I
- 3:31Speaker 1: want to cover some key moments last night. So many
- 3:35Speaker 1: important things happened. They need to be discussed. The first
- 3:38Speaker 1: is that the debate moderators were completely and utterly biased,
- 3:42Speaker 1: as you all can probably guess. In their insertions, in
- 3:46Speaker 1: the framing of the questions, In this clip about the
- 3:49Speaker 1: invasion of Haitians in Springfield, the moderators wanted to discredit J.D.,
- 3:54Speaker 1: but instead J.D. Vance turned it into one of the
- 3:58Speaker 1: best moments of the night. And this was a real
- 4:01Speaker 1: strong suit for J.D. I want you guys to take
- 4:02Speaker 1: a listen to this.
- 4:04Speaker 3: Thank you, Governor. And just to clarify for our viewers, Springfield, Ohio,
- 4:08Speaker 3: does have a large number of Haitian migrants who have
- 4:12Speaker 3: legal status, temporary protected status. Senator, we have so much
- 4:17Speaker 3: to get to.
- 4:18Speaker 4: Margaret, I think it's important.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Because— We're going to turn out of the economy.
- 4:21Speaker 4: Thank you. Margaret, the rules were that you guys weren't.
- 4:23Speaker 5: Going to fact-check.
- 4:24Speaker 4: And since you're fact-checking me, I think it's important to
- 4:26Speaker 4: say what's actually going on. So there's an application called
- 4:29Speaker 4: the CBP OneApp. Or you can go on as an
- 4:32Speaker 4: illegal migrant, apply for asylum or apply for parole, and
- 4:36Speaker 4: be granted legal status at the wave of a Kamala
- 4:41Speaker 4: Harris open border wand. That is not a person coming in,
- 4:44Speaker 4: applying for a green card, and waiting for 10 years.
- 4:47Speaker 4: That is the facilitation of illegal immigration, Margaret, by.
- 4:50Speaker 3: Our own leadership. Thank you, Senator, for describing the legal process.
- 4:53Speaker 5: We have so.
- 4:54Speaker 3: Much to get to, Senator.
- 4:55Speaker 6: Those laws have been on the books since 1990.
- 4:59Speaker 3: Thank you, gentlemen.
- 5:00Speaker 4: The CBP One app has not been on the books
- 5:02Speaker 4: since 1990. It's something that Kamala Harris created, Margaret.
- 5:06Speaker 3: Gentlemen, the audience can't hear you because your mics are cut.
- 5:11Speaker 1: They had to cut the mics out of embarrassment. And
- 5:14Speaker 1: the moderator should be embarrassed for the stupidity of that interaction.
- 5:19Speaker 1: And J.D. Vance eviscerated their fact check. First of all,
- 5:24Speaker 1: there are illegal patients in Springfield. But then as J.D.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Vance explained, There are Haitians who are here under the
- 5:30Speaker 1: totally unconstitutional CBP1 program. And the CBP1 program, if you
- 5:35Speaker 1: guys don't know, it essentially offers a fast pass entrance
- 5:39Speaker 1: for would-be illegal border crossers through a literal cell phone
- 5:42Speaker 1: app called CBP1. And this program has allowed those who
- 5:47Speaker 1: intended to cross illegally between land ports of entry not
- 5:51Speaker 1: to be counted in the illegal crossings category. even though
- 5:55Speaker 1: they totally are illegal. Again, it's a workaround so Kamala
- 5:58Speaker 1: can make her illegal migrant numbers look lower than they
- 6:00Speaker 1: actually are. I cannot express to you how happy I
- 6:03Speaker 1: was to see J.D. Vance fact-check the moderators on that issue.
- 6:06Speaker 1: And he did that really beautifully in a lot of
- 6:08Speaker 1: places in this debate. The people deserve to know the truth.
- 6:13Speaker 1: As J.D. Vance said elsewhere, the real issue here... is
- 6:17Speaker 1: that Springfield residents and Americans across the country in general
- 6:21Speaker 1: are suffering because of the illegal migrant crisis. That is
- 6:25Speaker 1: the priority here. The moderators were bad last night. It
- 6:29Speaker 1: was truly egregious. Listen to the framing of the first
- 6:34Speaker 1: immigration question.
- 6:35Speaker 3: Senator Vance. Your campaign is pledging to carry out the
- 6:39Speaker 3: largest mass deportation plan in American history and to use
- 6:44Speaker 3: the US military to do so. Could you be more
- 6:47Speaker 3: specific about exactly how this will work? For example, would
- 6:51Speaker 3: you deport parents who have entered the US illegally and
- 6:55Speaker 3: separate them from any of their children who were born
- 6:58Speaker 3: on US soil?
- 7:00Speaker 1: You see the framing? It has nothing to do with Americans.
- 7:04Speaker 1: She's concerned about family separation. of illegals. And if she
- 7:08Speaker 1: cared about illegals so much, she'd frame the question around
- 7:12Speaker 1: human trafficking. And this was a really brilliant point for J.D.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Vance again last night. He said, okay, you want to
- 7:18Speaker 1: talk about illegals who are suffering from the border crisis?
- 7:20Speaker 6: Bet.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Let's talk about it. Take a listen.
- 7:22Speaker 4: Right now in this country, Margaret, we have 320,000 children
- 7:27Speaker 4: that the Department of Homeland Security has effectively lost. Some
- 7:31Speaker 4: of them have been sex trafficked. Some of them hopefully
- 7:33Speaker 4: are at homes with their families. Some of them have
- 7:35Speaker 4: been used as drug trafficking mules. The real family separation
- 7:39Speaker 4: policy in this country is unfortunately Kamala Harris's wide open
- 7:43Speaker 4: southern border.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Hundreds of thousands of children are missing. They are missing.
- 7:49Speaker 1: We have no idea where they are, probably trafficked.
- 7:53Speaker 4: J.D.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Vance also mentioned the fentanyl crisis, the job crisis, how
- 7:57Speaker 1: the open border is killing and victimizing Americans. Again, he
- 8:02Speaker 1: brings it back to the people who really matter, which
- 8:06Speaker 1: are the Americans. Take a listen.
- 8:09Speaker 4: What it's meant is that a lot of fentanyl is
- 8:11Speaker 4: coming into our country. I had a mother who struggled
- 8:13Speaker 4: with opioid addiction and has gotten clean. I don't want
- 8:17Speaker 4: people who are struggling with addiction to be deprived of
- 8:19Speaker 4: their second chance because Kamala Harris let in fentanyl into
- 8:23Speaker 4: our communities at record levels. So you've got to stop
- 8:26Speaker 4: the bleeding. You've got to reimplement Donald Trump's border policies.
- 8:34Speaker 1: The open border is bad for us. It's bad for Americans.
- 8:39Speaker 1: It's also bad for illegals, and we can talk about
- 8:41Speaker 1: the human trafficking, but it's bad for us. That should
- 8:43Speaker 1: be the priority. That is what J.D. Vance brought it
- 8:45Speaker 1: back to. Contrast Vance and his response there to Tim
- 8:50Speaker 1: Walz saying, and this is a flashback, he will help
- 8:54Speaker 1: illegals invade our country.
- 8:55Speaker 6: I think seeing... a plan that's out there, talking about
- 9:00Speaker 6: it with folks, knowing that he's not going to do anything.
- 9:02Speaker 6: He talks about this wall. I always say, let me
- 9:05Speaker 6: know how high it is. If it's 25 feet, then
- 9:06Speaker 6: I'll invest in the 30-foot ladder factory. That's not how
- 9:09Speaker 6: you stop this.
- 9:11Speaker 1: He's going to buy them a ladder to scale our wall,
- 9:13Speaker 1: to break our immigration laws. Here's Tim Walz, again, a flashback,
- 9:19Speaker 1: boasting about having more refugees per capita in Minnesota.
- 9:23Speaker 6: We have more refugees per capita than any other state.
- 9:26Speaker 6: That's not just morally a good thing. It's our economic
- 9:30Speaker 6: and cultural future. This beautiful diversity we see out in
- 9:34Speaker 6: Worthington when I'm there, you see 50 languages spoken in
- 9:37Speaker 6: the school.
- 9:43Speaker 1: I mean, the priorities are so starkly different. Again, this
- 9:48Speaker 1: lowers the wages of Minnesotans. of Minnesota workers, and he's
- 9:53Speaker 1: proud of it. It'll do the same. It's doing the
- 9:56Speaker 1: same thing to Americans everywhere. The illegal immigration crisis. Just
- 10:01Speaker 1: last week, the Minneapolis Police Department hired a non-American citizen,
- 10:05Speaker 1: a native to Somalia, on the force. Tim Walz is
- 10:10Speaker 1: naturally going to be supportive of the federal equivalent to that,
- 10:14Speaker 1: which is letting non-citizens fight in our military. Non-citizens are
- 10:20Speaker 1: taking part in a military run by an administration fully
- 10:23Speaker 1: weaponized against half the people. That is a scary, scary thought. Guys,
- 10:28Speaker 1: we're going to take a quick break for a second,
- 10:29Speaker 1: but when we come back, we're going to discuss the lowest,
- 10:33Speaker 1: most embarrassing point of the debate for Tim Wallace, and
- 10:36Speaker 1: we'll also get to why I don't think it's a
- 10:37Speaker 1: victory for J.D. Vance. Stay tuned. Shout out to our sponsors.
- 10:42Speaker 1: You guys know that there's a lot of pressures out
- 10:44Speaker 1: there not to work with right-wing commentators with alternative media
- 10:50Speaker 1: right now. And so, you know, if anybody is sponsoring
- 10:52Speaker 1: with myself, with Dan, with others in alternative media, they
- 10:56Speaker 1: are true patriots. They are bucking the system. So shout
- 10:59Speaker 1: out as always to our sponsors. We're going to talk
- 11:02Speaker 1: about the Tiananmen Square incident. Tim Walsh has brazenly bragged
- 11:06Speaker 1: about being in Hong Kong when the Tiananmen Square massacre
- 11:09Speaker 1: occurred back in June of 1989. Weird thing to brag about,
- 11:12Speaker 1: but okay. And then we learned last week that contemporaneous
- 11:17Speaker 1: news reports show Tim Walz touring a National Guard storeroom
- 11:21Speaker 1: in Nebraska in May 1989. And the reports indicate that
- 11:26Speaker 1: Walz did not leave the United States until August of
- 11:29Speaker 1: that year, at least two months after the student protests
- 11:32Speaker 1: ended with the Tiananmen Square massacre. So he just lied
- 11:35Speaker 1: about being in Hong Kong. The debate moderators asked Tim
- 11:39Speaker 1: Walz about this And he went on a two minute rant,
- 11:42Speaker 1: not answering the question. And after two minutes, the moderator
- 11:47Speaker 1: stopped him. And they said, OK, now you actually have
- 11:50Speaker 1: to answer the question. How do you how do you
- 11:53Speaker 1: how do you handle this discrepancy here? What actually happened?
- 11:56Speaker 1: Were you in Hong Kong? And it was a disaster
- 12:00Speaker 1: for Tim Walz.
- 12:00Speaker 7: Take a listen.
- 12:01Speaker 3: Governor, just to follow up on that, the question was,
- 12:04Speaker 3: can you explain the discrepancy?
- 12:07Speaker 6: All I said on this was, is I got there
- 12:09Speaker 6: that summer and misspoke on this. So I will just,
- 12:12Speaker 6: that's what I've said. So I was in Hong Kong
- 12:18Speaker 6: and China during the democracy protest went in. And from that,
- 12:22Speaker 6: I learned a lot of what needed to be in governance.
- 12:27Speaker 3: Thank you, Governor. Senator Vance.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Hey, by the way, Hong Kong was not part of
- 12:32Speaker 1: China at that time. So he was not in China.
- 12:35Speaker 1: And he also was not in Hong Kong. He just lied.
- 12:37Speaker 1: He lied again on the debate stage. And you want
- 12:39Speaker 1: to know how I know he's lying? Because the reports
- 12:41Speaker 1: of him being in Nebraska aren't true. He would have
- 12:46Speaker 1: easily and quickly refuted them. His campaign would have refuted
- 12:50Speaker 1: those reports last week when they came about. And when
- 12:53Speaker 1: the question was asked in the debate stage, he would
- 12:55Speaker 1: have right away said, it's not true. I was in
- 12:58Speaker 1: Hong Kong. I can prove otherwise. But instead he went
- 13:01Speaker 1: on a two-minute rant about his life story and then
- 13:03Speaker 1: stuttered and stumbled his way through the response when he
- 13:07Speaker 1: was actually forced to answer the question. And here's the
- 13:10Speaker 1: reality with Tim Walz. He did not travel to Hong
- 13:13Speaker 1: Kong until months after the Tiananmen Square Massacre in 1989.
- 13:16Speaker 1: And it matters because we need to be able to
- 13:18Speaker 1: trust our leaders. The stolen valor, Kamala's flip-flopping, randomly lying
- 13:22Speaker 1: about whether he's in Hong Kong. It all signals... that
- 13:26Speaker 1: the Democratic ticket is not trustworthy. You know, I want
- 13:30Speaker 1: to turn to my favorite moment of the night, the
- 13:34Speaker 1: January 6th question. Amazingly, we all knew it was coming. Vance,
- 13:39Speaker 1: will you defend democracy, ignore election integrity, and admit that
- 13:42Speaker 1: Donald Trump incited an insurrection? Predictable, of course, they were
- 13:46Speaker 1: going to ask that. Never did they ask about the
- 13:47Speaker 1: BLM rioting, but we do get asked about January 6th.
- 13:51Speaker 1: And what J.D. Vance did in response was incredible. He
- 13:55Speaker 1: masterfully turned this question back on them to get the
- 13:59Speaker 1: most crucial issue of the entire night, which was not
- 14:03Speaker 1: asked by the moderators. He got to that question. Take
- 14:06Speaker 1: a listen.
- 14:07Speaker 4: I believe that we actually do have a threat to
- 14:09Speaker 4: democracy in this country. But unfortunately, it's not the threat
- 14:12Speaker 4: to democracy that Kamala Harris and Tim Walz want to
- 14:15Speaker 4: talk about. It is the threat of censorship. It's Americans
- 14:19Speaker 4: casting aside lifelong friendships because of disagreements over politics. It's
- 14:24Speaker 4: big technology companies silencing their fellow citizens. And it's Kamala
- 14:28Speaker 4: Harris saying that rather than debate and persuade her fellow Americans,
- 14:32Speaker 4: she'd like to censor people who engage in misinformation. I
- 14:35Speaker 4: think that is a much bigger threat to democracy than
- 14:38Speaker 4: anything that we've seen in this country in the last
- 14:40Speaker 4: four years, in the last 40 years. Now, I'm really proud,
- 14:43Speaker 4: especially given that I was raised by two lifelong blue-collar Democrats,
- 14:47Speaker 4: to have the endorsement of Bobby Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard.
- 14:51Speaker 4: lifelong leaders in the Democratic coalition. And of course, they
- 14:54Speaker 4: don't agree with me and Donald Trump on every issue.
- 14:56Speaker 4: We don't have to agree on every issue. But we're
- 14:59Speaker 4: united behind a basic American First Amendment principle that we
- 15:03Speaker 4: ought to debate our differences. We ought to argue about them.
- 15:05Speaker 4: We ought to try to persuade our fellow Americans Kamala
- 15:08Speaker 4: Harris is engaged in censorship at an industrial scale. She
- 15:12Speaker 4: did it during COVID. She's done it over a number
- 15:15Speaker 4: of other issues. And that to me is a much
- 15:17Speaker 4: bigger threat to democracy than what Donald Trump said when
- 15:20Speaker 4: he said that protesters should peacefully protest on January the 6th.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Who is the real threat to democracy? The people who
- 15:30Speaker 1: are actively directing social media companies to censor speech that
- 15:33Speaker 1: they disprove of. He turned that really poorly framed question
- 15:39Speaker 1: right back at them and got to the real issue,
- 15:42Speaker 1: which is the assault on the First Amendment. On Monday,
- 15:46Speaker 1: we discussed the Biden admin official, John Kerry, literally declaring
- 15:50Speaker 1: war on the Constitution because it permits so-called disinformation. Now,
- 15:55Speaker 1: I want you guys to listen to this Tim Walz interjection.
- 15:59Speaker 1: It's important.
- 16:00Speaker 4: You yourself have said there's no First Amendment right to misinformation.
- 16:04Speaker 4: Kamala Harris wants to use the power of government and
- 16:08Speaker 4: big tech to silence people from speaking their minds.
- 16:13Speaker 1: He jumps in and says, for threatening or hate speech.
- 16:17Speaker 4: Sorry, Tim.
- 16:18Speaker 1: Hate speech, however you arbitrarily define it, is protected by
- 16:22Speaker 1: the Constitution. Someone who does not understand the primary and
- 16:26Speaker 1: clearest constitutional amendment, the first one, is the real threat
- 16:30Speaker 1: to America. One more soundbite on this topic. I want
- 16:33Speaker 1: to show you all, just take a listen to this one.
- 16:37Speaker 4: Come together afterwards.
- 16:38Speaker 6: You can't yell fire in a crowded theater. That's the test.
- 16:41Speaker 6: That's the Supreme Court test.
- 16:42Speaker 4: Tim, fire in a crowded theater. You guys wanted to
- 16:45Speaker 4: kick people off of Facebook for saying that toddlers shouldn't
- 16:48Speaker 4: wear masks. That's not fire in a crowded theater. That
- 16:52Speaker 4: is criticizing the policies of the government, which is the
- 16:55Speaker 4: right of every American.
- 16:56Speaker 3: Senator, the governor does have the floor for one minute
- 16:58Speaker 3: to respond to you.
- 16:59Speaker 6: Yeah, well, I don't run Facebook. What I do.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Okay, first of all, You can yell fire in a
- 17:05Speaker 1: crowded theater. That's allowed. He's a misconception. Another thing that
- 17:10Speaker 1: Tim Wallace apparently does not know. But the Biden Kamala
- 17:13Speaker 1: admin is directing censorship on Facebook and other apps. So
- 17:17Speaker 1: it's so dishonest for Tim Wallace to say, oh, I
- 17:19Speaker 1: don't run Facebook, to insinuate that Facebook and other platforms
- 17:22Speaker 1: aren't acting at the behest of the government because they are.
- 17:25Speaker 1: It's indisputable. Zuckerberg has publicly admitted that Facebook censored the
- 17:29Speaker 1: Hunter Biden laptop story and COVID-related content at the direction
- 17:33Speaker 1: of the government. We even got more explicit evidence of
- 17:36Speaker 1: this partnership from the Twitter files. No one is even
- 17:39Speaker 1: denying this, except for apparently Tim Walz. Oh, I don't
- 17:41Speaker 1: run Facebook. I have no part of that. Maybe Tim
- 17:44Speaker 1: Walz doesn't, but the Kamala Biden admin certainly does. I
- 17:50Speaker 1: left the debate not angry at Tim Walz, even though
- 17:55Speaker 1: he did a lot of lying. There was a moment
- 17:57Speaker 1: where he even said that children aren't being used as
- 18:00Speaker 1: drug mules. A thousand percent they are. was an egregious lie.
- 18:06Speaker 1: But ultimately, the feeling that I had was pity. Sincere pity.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Women in the chat, tell me if you guys felt similarly.
- 18:14Speaker 1: Wallace was clearly out of his depth. He was nervous
- 18:18Speaker 1: and coherent. He was self-deprecating. He called himself a knucklehead.
- 18:23Speaker 6: And I'm a knucklehead at times. And I'm a knucklehead
- 18:28Speaker 6: at times. And I'm a knucklehead at times.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Here he is.
- 18:31Speaker 6: And I'm a knucklehead.
- 18:33Speaker 1: Saying that he's friends with school shooters.
- 18:36Speaker 6: I've become friends with school shooters. I've seen it. Look,
- 18:39Speaker 6: I've become friends with school shooters. I've seen it.
- 18:43Speaker 1: Again, he lacked competence. He lacked confidence. He did not
- 18:46Speaker 1: come off as well as J.D. Vance did. Humans are
- 18:51Speaker 1: social creatures. Those things matter. And yet, despite all that,
- 18:57Speaker 1: I don't think that J.D. Vance won, especially not in
- 19:00Speaker 1: the long term.
- 19:02Speaker 6: J.D.
- 19:03Speaker 1: Was kind. He was conciliatory. And you're going to hear
- 19:08Speaker 1: a lot of right-wing pundits praise J.D. Vance because he
- 19:11Speaker 1: came off as smart. He came off as polite and
- 19:15Speaker 1: almost kind toward Tim Walz. Dispelling this narrative that J.D.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Vance is weird, an anti-woman, some aggressive guy. And the
- 19:25Speaker 1: main reason that so many pundits are going to praise J.D.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Vance is because he's a return to the status quo stylistically.
- 19:34Speaker 1: He reminded me of Paul Ryan on the debate stage.
- 19:36Speaker 1: That was one of the first debates I really remember watching.
- 19:40Speaker 1: Paul Ryan, he was smooth. He was smart. He's a
- 19:43Speaker 1: Wisconsin guy. I liked Paul Ryan. And believe it or not,
- 19:47Speaker 1: at that time, Biden was a real challenge to debate.
- 19:50Speaker 1: His brain hadn't been completely turned to mush. And I
- 19:53Speaker 1: think that Paul Ryan should have come out on top
- 19:57Speaker 1: of that debate. But we don't win when the strategy
- 20:02Speaker 1: is smooth and smart. The framing of all the questions
- 20:07Speaker 1: is And even the questions themselves were set up for
- 20:10Speaker 1: Vance to lose. When the moderators asked about the economy,
- 20:15Speaker 1: they asked about rising rent prices, because that's the only
- 20:18Speaker 1: thing Kamala and Walz have an actual plan to address.
- 20:21Speaker 1: The moderators started to ask about the Second Amendment by saying, quote,
- 20:26Speaker 1: turning to our gun violence epidemic. The climate issue, they said, oh,
- 20:31Speaker 1: all the climate scientists, they do agree that climate change
- 20:33Speaker 1: is real. The moderators interjected with that little fact check.
- 20:37Speaker 1: And Vance had to politely work with their framing on
- 20:40Speaker 1: a lot of these things. And I thought he was
- 20:42Speaker 1: smart again. I thought he was competent, but in a
- 20:46Speaker 1: situation like this, Donald Trump would have flipped the table.
- 20:51Speaker 1: His strategy was to say climate change is a hoax
- 20:55Speaker 1: to say they're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're bringing rapists.
- 21:01Speaker 1: He didn't try to work from the premise set by
- 21:03Speaker 1: the moderators. He just said his own premise. And a
- 21:07Speaker 1: lot of Americans had never heard. Not only the content
- 21:11Speaker 1: of what Trump was saying, but the style, the rhetoric
- 21:15Speaker 1: in the way that he was saying it, it was
- 21:17Speaker 1: so new. And that's why a lot of the pundits
- 21:20Speaker 1: hated him. And that's why a lot of the left
- 21:23Speaker 1: was so hateful toward him is so hateful toward him.
- 21:28Speaker 1: And a lot of people on the right are going
- 21:30Speaker 1: to praise JD Vance because he's a return to the
- 21:32Speaker 1: pre Trump years stylistically. But that style has never worked
- 21:36Speaker 1: for us. Believe it or not, there is a method
- 21:38Speaker 1: to Trump's madness. And so while J.D. was smooth and
- 21:42Speaker 1: he was smart and he was quick, his style marks
- 21:46Speaker 1: a return to what I think is ultimately a losing strategy.
- 21:49Speaker 1: Now I'm going to be honest with you guys. We're
- 21:52Speaker 1: going to turn to something different. But the very first
- 21:55Speaker 1: question of the debate kind of had me annoyed. The
- 21:58Speaker 1: question was about the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel.
- 22:02Speaker 1: And it's an important issue. But is it the most
- 22:04Speaker 1: important issue? We shouldn't be discussing the Middle East before
- 22:08Speaker 1: we discuss Americans who are dying because of a Category
- 22:12Speaker 1: 4 hurricane that's impacted six states. And this isn't an
- 22:16Speaker 1: Israel-Iran specific issue. I'd be saying this about any foreign
- 22:19Speaker 1: country that somehow got debate precedence over an issue here
- 22:23Speaker 1: at home, a dire issue here at home. Hurricane survivors
- 22:27Speaker 1: in Western North Carolina are reportedly seeing bodies stuck in trees,
- 22:32Speaker 1: bodies under rubble, bodies floating in ditches, mudsides, landslides, taking
- 22:37Speaker 1: out homes, taking out people. More than a hundred are dead.
- 22:40Speaker 1: Thousands are missing. Millions without power. Billions of damage. The
- 22:45Speaker 1: devastation is apocalyptic. A woman named Jessica Dry Turner posted
- 22:52Speaker 1: a photo on Facebook taken by her sister, Megan. of
- 22:55Speaker 1: their parents in their seventies as they and her seven-year-old nephew, Micah,
- 23:02Speaker 1: were trapped at the top of their Asheville roof, Asheville
- 23:05Speaker 1: home roof. So the woman who posted this, just so
- 23:08Speaker 1: you guys understand what's going on, she lives in Texas.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Her sister sent her the photo of the parents trapped
- 23:14Speaker 1: on the roof. The little boy is there, but he's
- 23:16Speaker 1: not in frame. And this was the last photo taken
- 23:21Speaker 1: of the parents because help never arrived. The roof collapsed.
- 23:26Speaker 1: The little boy Micah and the elderly parents drowned. Just devastating.
- 23:32Speaker 1: People are dying. And according to Vice President Kamala Harris,
- 23:37Speaker 1: the disaster aid should be based on race and gender,
- 23:41Speaker 1: not on how much water flooded your home. Take a listen.
- 23:45Speaker 7: It is our lowest income communities and our communities of
- 23:50Speaker 7: color that are most impacted by by these extreme conditions
- 23:55Speaker 7: and impacted by issues that are not of their own making.
- 24:00Speaker 7: And women.
- 24:02Speaker 1: Absolutely.
- 24:03Speaker 7: And so we have to address this in a way
- 24:06Speaker 7: that is about giving resources based on equity, understanding that
- 24:10Speaker 7: we fight for equality, but we also need to fight
- 24:13Speaker 7: for equity, understanding not everyone starts out at the same place.
- 24:16Speaker 7: And if we want people to be in an equal place,
- 24:18Speaker 7: sometimes we have to take into account those disparities. and
- 24:22Speaker 7: do that work.
- 24:26Speaker 1: I want to take a note. I'm seeing that some
- 24:28Speaker 1: of you guys in the chat are pushing back against
- 24:30Speaker 1: my analysis with this debate. I'm not saying that J.D.
- 24:35Speaker 1: Vance lost to Tim Walz. I am not saying that
- 24:37Speaker 1: at all. I laid out that Tim Walz was weak.
- 24:41Speaker 1: He looked scared. He was not competent.
- 24:46Speaker 2: J.D.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Vance was the exact opposite of that. And in a
- 24:49Speaker 1: perfect world, J.D. Vance would have won that debate decisively.
- 24:52Speaker 1: What I'm telling you guys is the framing of these
- 24:54Speaker 1: debates is so bad, is so poor that we have
- 24:59Speaker 1: to flip the table and be unpolite. We have to
- 25:05Speaker 1: be almost aggressive and change the entire premise of these
- 25:12Speaker 1: questions in the way that Trump so famously has done
- 25:16Speaker 1: his entire political career. If we have any chance of
- 25:19Speaker 1: winning people over because it is set against us, the
- 25:24Speaker 1: whole thing is set up for the right to fail.
- 25:26Speaker 1: And if we play by their playbook, we will fail.
- 25:28Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. And I'm going to come back
- 25:29Speaker 1: to that at the end. We're going to keep talking
- 25:31Speaker 1: about it. Don't worry. I appreciate all of your comments,
- 25:33Speaker 1: but I want to talk about this, this Kamala clip
- 25:35Speaker 1: because what she said is so incredibly vile. No disaster
- 25:39Speaker 1: relief should be based on your skin color. It's discriminatory,
- 25:43Speaker 1: it's racist, it is evil. And don't think that Kamala
- 25:47Speaker 1: was just saying that. No, her administration has fully taken
- 25:51Speaker 1: the sentiment to heart. FEMA, the Federal Emergency Management Agency,
- 25:55Speaker 1: lists a set of three goals as part of their
- 25:58Speaker 1: strategic plan to address key challenges in emergency management. Take
- 26:02Speaker 1: a guess at what the number one goal is. To
- 26:06Speaker 1: instill equity as a foundation of emergency management. According to
- 26:11Speaker 1: FEMA's plan, diversity, equity, and inclusion cannot be optional. That's
- 26:16Speaker 1: a quote. So in other words, don't help white people first.
- 26:20Speaker 1: I am done with the left accusing the right of racism. Newsflash,
- 26:24Speaker 1: anyone can be racist, and your skin color and your
- 26:26Speaker 1: voting record has no bearing on the matter. Anita says, 911, help,
- 26:31Speaker 1: I'm on my roof. Ma'am, what's your skin color? That's
- 26:35Speaker 1: what FEMA's doing. That's what they say they're doing. That's
- 26:37Speaker 1: what Kamala Harris has already called for. And again, anybody
- 26:41Speaker 1: can be racist. Case in point, Kamala Harris is one
- 26:44Speaker 1: of the most racist people in America. And she's black
- 26:47Speaker 1: or Indian, and she votes Democrat. But it's not just Kamala.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Huge swaths of the left are openly admitting that in
- 26:56Speaker 1: the wake of this disaster, they have no compassion for
- 26:59Speaker 1: white people or people who vote Republican. This is Chris Valenti,
- 27:04Speaker 1: a very famous TikToker, saying he cares more about the dogs.
- 27:09Speaker 1: than Republicans who've been devastated by the hurricane. Take a listen.
- 27:13Speaker 2: They were warned by the state government and local governments.
- 27:17Speaker 2: They said, hey, this hurricane's going to be real bad.
- 27:19Speaker 2: The water level's going to rise. Transformers and power lines
- 27:23Speaker 2: are going to go out. The water's going to become electrocuted.
- 27:25Speaker 2: It is not safe. You guys need to get out
- 27:27Speaker 2: of here. And these people stayed because they vote Republican?
- 27:36Speaker 2: How the fuck has a natural disaster become politicized? How
- 27:41Speaker 2: fucking broken is your brain to the point that you're
- 27:44Speaker 2: not gonna believe your state and local governments and go, actually,
- 27:47Speaker 2: I think I'm gonna tank this one out. I don't
- 27:49Speaker 2: feel bad for you. I don't feel bad for, and
- 27:52Speaker 2: the only people Not even people. I guess the only
- 27:55Speaker 2: things that I feel bad for who are trapped in
- 27:58Speaker 2: this hurricane are the fucking dogs, okay? Because if they
- 28:02Speaker 2: were able to make a choice, if they were fucking warned,
- 28:05Speaker 2: I'm sure they would have evacuated. Because unironically, fucking dogs
- 28:10Speaker 2: are smarter than you.
- 28:13Speaker 1: By the way, there were a lot of Democrats who
- 28:15Speaker 1: did not evacuate during Hurricane Katrina. And that is disgusting
- 28:19Speaker 1: rhetoric from this TikToker. informed by Democrat leadership like Kamala Harris.
- 28:25Speaker 1: Do you remember when Kanye said after Hurricane Katrina that
- 28:31Speaker 1: George Bush does not care about black people? Here's a reminder.
- 28:34Speaker 1: We're going to talk about that for a second.
- 28:35Speaker 2: The destruction of the spirit of the people of southern
- 28:37Speaker 2: Louisiana and Mississippi may end up being the most tragic
- 28:40Speaker 2: loss of all. George Bush doesn't care about black people.
- 28:46Speaker 1: Obviously a very viral line. Everybody, I think it was
- 28:49Speaker 1: Seth Meyers in that clip. Was that right, Mikey? Mike Myers.
- 28:52Speaker 1: I'm sorry. He was very awkward. Nobody knew what to say.
- 29:00Speaker 1: But John Daniel Davidson, my former colleague at The Federalist,
- 29:03Speaker 1: he makes a really great point about this clip. He said, today,
- 29:07Speaker 1: it's the inverse. Kamala Harris doesn't care about white people.
- 29:13Speaker 1: That's the title of his article. It was a great article.
- 29:17Speaker 1: And that's what this is all about. John writes, it
- 29:19Speaker 1: hasn't escaped anyone's notice that the victims of the flooding
- 29:23Speaker 1: are predominantly poor white people in Appalachia. Given that fact
- 29:27Speaker 1: and the appalling lack of concern from Harris and Biden,
- 29:30Speaker 1: there's a lot more reason right now to claim that
- 29:32Speaker 1: Harris doesn't care about white people than there ever was
- 29:36Speaker 1: to claim Bush didn't care about black people. The victims
- 29:39Speaker 1: of Hurricane Helena are white Trump supporters from a red state,
- 29:42Speaker 1: so she doesn't really care about what happens to them.
- 29:45Speaker 1: And I'm not just saying that, and neither is John.
- 29:48Speaker 1: You guys saw the video, Prioritize Minorities Over White People.
- 29:52Speaker 1: FEMA stated that it's implementing that policy on its website.
- 29:55Speaker 1: It's their number one goal. Meanwhile, normal everyday leftists are
- 30:00Speaker 1: celebrating the fact that Trump white voters, who they accuse
- 30:04Speaker 1: of being racist, are suffering and dying. They are celebrating
- 30:07Speaker 1: that fact. And the craziest part is no one even
- 30:11Speaker 1: knows who's giving orders right now. No one knows who's
- 30:14Speaker 1: running the country. This was Biden a couple of days ago. Mr.
- 30:20Speaker 4: President, will you deploy more U.S.
- 30:22Speaker 1: Troops to the Middle East? Now the audio wasn't great there,
- 30:28Speaker 1: but Biden shouts over the airplane noise, no, at the reporter. No,
- 30:35Speaker 1: he won't deploy more troops to the Middle East. But
- 30:39Speaker 1: the very next day, the very day after he said that,
- 30:42Speaker 1: the Pentagon announced that a few thousand U.S. troops are
- 30:44Speaker 1: deploying to the Middle East. So clearly Biden's not in charge.
- 30:48Speaker 1: Members of the Tennessee, South Dakota, Indiana, and Nevada National
- 30:51Speaker 1: Guards are deploying to the Middle East amidst the catastrophic flooding.
- 30:55Speaker 1: And meanwhile, members of the Georgia National Guard just deployed
- 30:58Speaker 1: to Poland, which of course borders Ukraine. Where are our
- 31:03Speaker 1: leaders' priorities? And it's not just Democrats we're talking about here.
- 31:07Speaker 1: Per Sean Davis, CEO of The Federalist, Mitch McConnell represents
- 31:11Speaker 1: a large swath of Appalachia. In the last week, McConnell
- 31:15Speaker 1: has tweeted about the UN, Israel, Iran, Syria, Lebanon, Hezbollah,
- 31:19Speaker 1: and defense spending, but not a word about Helene or
- 31:22Speaker 1: North Carolina or flooding or help for dying Appalachians. There's
- 31:28Speaker 1: a pattern in the Uniparty. $ 5 million to East Palestine,
- 31:31Speaker 1: $ 3 billion to Maui. No financial aid yet confirmed for
- 31:36Speaker 1: Hurricane Helene, but Ukraine, $ 200 billion. Israel, $ 50 billion.
- 31:43Speaker 5: The U.S.
- 31:43Speaker 1: Military, National Guard, and FEMA are failing. The Biden administration
- 31:47Speaker 1: is failing. And they're actively prioritizing non-Americans over our own
- 31:52Speaker 1: in a crisis. This should be Kamala Harris's Katrina moment.
- 31:57Speaker 1: as John Daniel Davidson has pointed out in that article.
- 32:01Speaker 1: Her staged photo pretending to work on the disaster response,
- 32:04Speaker 1: but her earbuds weren't plugged in to her phone and
- 32:07Speaker 1: she was taking notes on a blank piece of paper.
- 32:09Speaker 1: We covered that yesterday. Meanwhile, FEMA's nowhere to be found.
- 32:12Speaker 1: They're too worried about DEI to do their damn job.
- 32:15Speaker 1: National Guardsmen in the Middle East, money and resources going
- 32:18Speaker 1: to illegals, Biden sleeping on a beach, Kamala's too busy
- 32:21Speaker 1: trying to amass more power. I want you all to
- 32:24Speaker 1: take a listen. to Tim Walz's closing remarks last night.
- 32:28Speaker 6: Kamala Harris is bringing us a new way forward. She's
- 32:31Speaker 6: bringing us a politics of joy. She's bringing real solutions
- 32:34Speaker 6: for the middle class. And she's centering you at the
- 32:37Speaker 6: heart of that, all the while asking everyone, join this movement,
- 32:42Speaker 6: make your voices heard. Let's look for a new day
- 32:45Speaker 6: where everybody gets that opportunity and everybody gets a chance
- 32:48Speaker 6: to thrive.
- 32:52Speaker 1: That's what we're being built. A new way forward. with
- 32:56Speaker 1: the woman that's currently in power. Either one, she has
- 33:00Speaker 1: the power to do all the things that she's promising
- 33:03Speaker 1: right now, especially because our current president is senile. She's
- 33:06Speaker 1: a de facto leader. Or two, she doesn't have the
- 33:10Speaker 1: power because neither she nor Biden are really in charge.
- 33:13Speaker 1: And if that's the case, why vote for her? The
- 33:16Speaker 1: issue here and in this election is so much more
- 33:21Speaker 1: existential than the individual candidates. What we are fighting is
- 33:26Speaker 1: a machine, a permanent state that gets its way no
- 33:30Speaker 1: matter who the people elect. Why else would American politicians,
- 33:35Speaker 1: supposedly accountable to the people, prioritize foreign aid over disaster
- 33:39Speaker 1: spending affecting millions of Americans? Kamala Harris risked her own
- 33:46Speaker 1: re-election by continuing, or I guess her election as president,
- 33:52Speaker 1: by continuing to send more money to Ukraine. It's terrible optics.
- 33:57Speaker 1: So why do it? And the same goes for Mitch McConnell.
- 34:00Speaker 1: He's silent on his own constituents' needs, but vocal about
- 34:04Speaker 1: conflicts on the other side of the world. And the
- 34:07Speaker 1: answer is simple. There's money in war. When the true
- 34:11Speaker 1: power players in this country aren't beholden to the people,
- 34:15Speaker 1: external priorities supersede ours. We're not dealing with a democracy
- 34:20Speaker 1: or a democratic republic. We're dealing with authoritarians. People who
- 34:26Speaker 1: trample on the First Amendment, flood our towns with illegal
- 34:29Speaker 1: migrants that pose national security risks, drive up rent while
- 34:33Speaker 1: devaluing American labor. We are not the priority. And this
- 34:37Speaker 1: is not what the founders envisioned. We deserve better. And
- 34:42Speaker 1: that's why I didn't like the conciliatory, polite tone that J.D.
- 34:46Speaker 1: Vance took. The stakes are too high. The playing field
- 34:50Speaker 1: is too uneven for that. Maybe in a bygone era.
- 34:55Speaker 1: But we're living in a brave new world and the
- 34:57Speaker 1: strategy has to change. Okay, that's all I have for
- 35:01Speaker 1: you guys today. As always, if you are listening, oh, somebody, oh,

- 35:37Speaker 1: The Dan Bongino Show.
- 35:38Speaker 5: I think a lot of people are underestimating the Trump
- 35:41Speaker 5: effect in this midterm. You've heard it yourself. Act like
- 35:44Speaker 5: I'm on the ballot. Why is he saying that? You
- 35:47Speaker 5: think he doesn't know what he's doing? That is the
- 35:50Speaker 5: X factor. Folks, elections are a math issue. That is it.
- 35:54Speaker 5: This is not a football game.
- 35:57Speaker 6: If you vote, we will win.
- 35:59Speaker 5: It is not complicated.
