BONUS EPISODE - Muse Goes to Japan: Meta's AI Agent Lands in Its First Country Abroad

AI Plain Talk · Oct 23, 2026 · 9m

Muse, Meta's personal AI agent, just launched in Japan — the first country outside North America to get it, and only two days after Meta said the cost of running Muse was holding back new countries. Beau and Max break down what launched on day one (iPhone, Android, and muse.ai), the Klook partnership that lets travelers search, compare, and book 426,000 travel experiences inside one conversation, what isn't there yet (voice mode, the Realtime Avatar, and confirmed Japanese pricing), and why Japan is the first real test of whether Meta can localize an AI agent.
