Transcript
- 0:02Speaker 1: It has been so strange at my house for like
- 0:05Speaker 1: a week. I've been hearing these just weird noises. I
- 0:08Speaker 1: don't know if it's from like the attic or just
- 0:10Speaker 1: maybe like outside right along the house somewhere. Yeah, I
- 0:13Speaker 1: can't quite hinpoint it. So yesterday I was like, you know,
- 0:18Speaker 1: I'm going to try to record some of this on
- 0:19Speaker 1: my phone and see if I can figure out what
- 0:23Speaker 1: this is.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.
- 0:24Speaker 3: I lived for this kind of stuff, Gabe.
- 0:25Speaker 4: I used to think that there was someone like living
- 0:28Speaker 4: in my walls because we kept hearing like weird things
- 0:31Speaker 4: in the walls, me and the kids. So like, I'm
- 0:34Speaker 4: very into this.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Yeah, And you know, we had we were having a
- 0:37Speaker 1: little bit of internet trouble the other day, so the
- 0:39Speaker 1: internet guy stopped over just to do a couple of things.
- 0:42Speaker 1: And it's like, oh, well, it could this be something
- 0:44Speaker 1: to do with that.
- 0:45Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, yeah, because doesn't paranormal stuff like interfere
- 0:48Speaker 4: with frequencies and stuff. I used to watch ghost Hunters
- 0:51Speaker 4: all the time, like, oh okay, all right, wait, let
- 0:53Speaker 4: me get ready.
- 0:54Speaker 3: I'm nervous.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Yeah, so I set my phone out. You know, I
- 0:57Speaker 1: went to sleep last night, I got the recording and
- 1:00Speaker 1: I have them for you, Like, this is so strange.
- 1:02Speaker 1: Is this not kind of spooky to you to hear?
- 1:04Speaker 1: I don't Maybe I'm out of it.
- 1:05Speaker 2: I don't know. Okay, isn't that creepy?
- 1:10Speaker 3: That's weird.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's not the only one.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Okay, Okay, there's more and they're spaced out by like
- 1:18Speaker 1: I don't know, seven eight minutes. Oh, that's what makes
- 1:22Speaker 1: it so strange. Like, here's another one that was on
- 1:24Speaker 1: my phone right.
- 1:32Speaker 4: That one sounds kind of like like a kid or
- 1:34Speaker 4: something like a teenager.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Yeah, very creepy.
- 1:37Speaker 1: And then this one is why I brought this to
- 1:40Speaker 1: you this morning so we could try to figure out
- 1:42Speaker 1: what this was.
- 1:43Speaker 2: This terrified me.
- 1:53Speaker 4: It's like yeah, that's like I'm like cringing.
- 1:58Speaker 3: That's like bone chilling.
- 2:00Speaker 1: So there were two more, and this is another one.
- 2:03Speaker 1: It's like, what is going on at my house? Yeah, we're.
- 2:13Speaker 3: Okay.
- 2:14Speaker 4: That is very clear you this is paranormal as.
- 2:19Speaker 1: And this was the last one here clearly that one
- 2:27Speaker 1: was in like a good movie.
- 2:28Speaker 3: She's like a sexy ghost.
- 2:29Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, it is Halloween. Yeah, it's going on at
- 2:32Speaker 2: my house here.
- 2:34Speaker 4: You know, what if I had to guess, Gabe, and
- 2:36Speaker 4: maybe we gotta bust out the Ouiji board to find out.
- 2:39Speaker 4: But I think it's a classic case of ghost karaoke
- 2:44Speaker 4: or ghost aroke. This is a very small victory, but
- 2:55Speaker 4: I feel like it really sets the tone for both
- 2:57Speaker 4: of us.
- 2:58Speaker 3: Gabe, I remember to.
- 3:00Speaker 4: Bring a sleeve of gold Emblem brand crackers with me
- 3:06Speaker 4: this morning, so whenever I do remember that, I go
- 3:09Speaker 4: into the breakroom and I open that sleeve, I separate
- 3:14Speaker 4: out and get exactly the same amount of crackers. We
- 3:18Speaker 4: each get twenty crackers, Wow, And I butter them with
- 3:21Speaker 4: country crock plant based butter, and I come into the
- 3:25Speaker 4: studio holding these little plates of gold and then we
- 3:29Speaker 4: chomp down on these crackers and it is so good,
- 3:33Speaker 4: and I feel like it puts me in an amazing mood,
- 3:35Speaker 4: and I'm glad I remember to bring them today.
- 3:37Speaker 1: It's like Thanksgiving dinner at five point forty five in
- 3:40Speaker 1: the morning with Yes, it's so sweet when you're just
- 3:43Speaker 1: mothered henned by Angie in the morning that you have
- 3:47Speaker 1: never lived until you have had anchie butter, use some
- 3:51Speaker 1: saltine crackers and ate them, you know, kind.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Of during your morning.
- 3:55Speaker 1: They are wonderful that could have I could have stolen
- 3:58Speaker 1: that from my little victory time. I love when I
- 4:00Speaker 1: wake up and get to work and I'm like, oh, yes,
- 4:03Speaker 1: it's cracker day. It feels like I won, like, you know,
- 4:08Speaker 1: a fifteen dollars scratch off.
- 4:09Speaker 3: I like that.
- 4:10Speaker 1: I like that, all right, my little victory Angie and
- 4:13Speaker 1: my wife and I have been talking for honestly months about, oh,
- 4:16Speaker 1: you know, we really gotta try this pizza. We really
- 4:18Speaker 1: gotta try this pizza here in Fargo. Corey has some
- 4:21Speaker 1: coworkers who have always said, you gotta try this pizza.
- 4:23Speaker 1: It's so good, blah blah blah. Well, of course we
- 4:26Speaker 1: always forget. We finally, we finally did it yesterday and
- 4:31Speaker 1: just you know, shout out to Dwayne's Pizza in Fargo.
- 4:34Speaker 1: It is wonderful. It is so good. Oh really, yeah,
- 4:37Speaker 1: I was gonna bring some leftovers. We picked it up
- 4:40Speaker 1: from the Duaane's and now, of course I'm not gonna remember.
- 4:43Speaker 1: I think it's like the poorhouse or something over in
- 4:46Speaker 1: West Fargo.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Anyway, so good.
- 4:49Speaker 1: I was gonna bring some today for you know, my
- 4:51Speaker 1: ten o'clock lunch or whatever it is I eat here.
- 4:54Speaker 1: But I kind of forgot, so I went with soup.
- 4:56Speaker 1: But I'm telling you what, at like one thirty, them
- 4:59Speaker 1: leftover Hezza slices are getting housed.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Okay, I could not be more jacked for that.
- 5:05Speaker 1: So good, So big shout out to Dwayne's Pizza here
- 5:08Speaker 1: in Farga.
- 5:09Speaker 3: I always wis for you.
- 5:10Speaker 2: That's great.
- 5:10Speaker 3: I've always heard really good things.
- 5:12Speaker 4: Remember we went and we celebrated the block, those apartments
- 5:17Speaker 4: and they've got a Dwayne's Pizza like right next and
- 5:21Speaker 4: they catered the event, and so yeah, how exciting.
- 5:25Speaker 2: It was so good. Yeah, Corey had never had it.
- 5:27Speaker 1: I didn't know I had had it, because yeah, I
- 5:29Speaker 1: have had it then if it was at the block.
- 5:31Speaker 2: I had a couple slices when we were there.
- 5:33Speaker 1: But when you have this built up in your head like, oh,
- 5:35Speaker 1: it's going to be so good, it's going to be
- 5:36Speaker 1: so good, and you know, nine times out of ten,
- 5:38Speaker 1: it's kind of a letdown or whatever.
- 5:40Speaker 2: It was not it was the yep, it did.
- 5:42Speaker 1: So big shout out to them this morning here on
- 5:44Speaker 1: Big ninety eight point seven. And do you remember those
- 5:49Speaker 1: ven diagrams in school? Yes, you'd like mash the circles
- 5:54Speaker 1: together and you'd show what different things had in common
- 5:57Speaker 1: or whatever.
- 5:57Speaker 2: If you don't remember, that's what they were.
- 5:59Speaker 3: It's the to the circles that intersect.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Yeah exactly, yeah. Yeah.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Well there's a lady on TikTok who has gone wildly viral.
- 6:07Speaker 1: I was actually kind of shocked by this, but wildly
- 6:10Speaker 1: viral for creating a men.
- 6:13Speaker 4: Diagram, a men diagram and diagram goosh. Okay, what does
- 6:17Speaker 4: this men diagram entail and what.
- 6:20Speaker 3: Does it prove?
- 6:21Speaker 1: And from what I've seen in the comments, there's like
- 6:24Speaker 1: ninety seven percent of eight that women all agree with this.
- 6:27Speaker 1: What I'm curious what you would think this morning? Most
- 6:31Speaker 1: ladies are like, oh yeah, that checks out.
- 6:34Speaker 3: Okay, what is it?
- 6:35Speaker 2: I need to know?
- 6:36Speaker 1: It's supposed to predict what type of guy you are
- 6:40Speaker 1: dealing with and how datable he is. It's based on
- 6:43Speaker 1: three main factors, how nice, how smart, and how handsome
- 6:49Speaker 1: he is. If he's more than one, it might actually
- 6:53Speaker 1: be a red flag.
- 6:55Speaker 3: There's one.
- 6:56Speaker 2: There's some crazy possible comedy.
- 6:58Speaker 1: If he has like way more of one of them,
- 7:00Speaker 1: make sure, I'm sorry if he has way more.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Of one of them.
- 7:03Speaker 1: All right, there are four possible combinations. And what this
- 7:07Speaker 1: woman says about each of them. Okay, if he's smart
- 7:10Speaker 1: and nice, probably a nerd. If he's smart and handsome,
- 7:16Speaker 1: he's probably a jerk. If he's handsome and nice.
- 7:20Speaker 2: He's probably dumb.
- 7:23Speaker 1: If he's smart, nice, and handsome, this lady went on
- 7:28Speaker 1: to say.
- 7:28Speaker 3: You're possibly of your imagination.
- 7:30Speaker 1: Yeah, you're probably out of luck because he either doesn't
- 7:33Speaker 1: exist or he appreciates the same gender.
- 7:37Speaker 4: Oh okay, Oh that's fair, right, right, Okay, Angie, if
- 7:43Speaker 4: you had to pick, if you had the perfect man,
- 7:46Speaker 4: which you do?
- 7:46Speaker 1: I love Mikey. He's the greatest, right. He is smart, handsome,
- 7:49Speaker 1: and nice. Yes, But if you could only give him
- 7:51Speaker 1: two of these three? Smart, handsome, nice, what two would
- 7:57Speaker 1: you go? You only get to use sixty six of
- 8:00Speaker 1: your power. Also, if you're listening today, text me at
- 8:03Speaker 1: seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven,
- 8:07Speaker 1: because Angie, sadly, I know exactly which two I have?
- 8:11Speaker 2: Which one I don't?
- 8:12Speaker 4: Oh? Got no, But Corey, your wife, I want her
- 8:15Speaker 4: to text in.
- 8:16Speaker 3: I least know what she thinks it is. I want
- 8:19Speaker 3: to preface this.
- 8:20Speaker 4: I fully believe that my Mikey is smart, hot, and nice.
- 8:25Speaker 3: He is all three.
- 8:27Speaker 4: But if I only had to pick two, I would
- 8:30Speaker 4: go with smart and nice because and you look at
- 8:34Speaker 4: my track record, I clearly have been comfortable dating some uggles,
- 8:39Speaker 4: so that's clearly not that important to me.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Angie. We both, I mean, we both know the two
- 8:46Speaker 2: out of three I got right.
- 8:47Speaker 3: I mean, you're obviously hot and nice.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Yeah, it's safe to say I'm not the sharpest spoon
- 8:53Speaker 1: in the spoon drawer.
- 8:54Speaker 2: All right, you even.
- 8:56Speaker 3: Said that wrong.
- 9:02Speaker 4: Problem. This is, am I, the problem where you send
- 9:06Speaker 4: us your side of the story and we let you
- 9:08Speaker 4: know if you're in the right or if maybe, just
- 9:11Speaker 4: maybe you're the problem.
- 9:12Speaker 3: Gabby wrote into us. And this is more like a
- 9:16Speaker 3: like a.
- 9:16Speaker 4: Searching for advice thing, okay, a little less like am I.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, all.
- 9:23Speaker 3: Right, but you know what, if you need help, we're
- 9:26Speaker 3: gonna help you. Girl.
- 9:27Speaker 2: Gabby that was a great name, So she in the right.
- 9:29Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, Gabe.
- 9:30Speaker 4: All right, Hi, Angie and Gabe looking to the gurus
- 9:33Speaker 4: for some help.
- 9:34Speaker 3: Lol. I like that. You're off to a good start.
- 9:38Speaker 4: I don't have a lot of picks of myself, but
- 9:40Speaker 4: the most recent ones I do have my ex took
- 9:43Speaker 4: of me or he's in them. We broke up two
- 9:46Speaker 4: months ago after almost three years together, and I'm ready
- 9:49Speaker 4: to jump on the dating apps. But all the picks
- 9:52Speaker 4: I want to use are the ones my ex is
- 9:55Speaker 4: in and the ones he took.
- 9:57Speaker 3: I like how I look in them.
- 9:59Speaker 4: Do you think it's okay for me to use them
- 10:01Speaker 4: for my profiles? And obviously i'd crop him out of
- 10:04Speaker 4: the ones he was in, or would that be hurtful
- 10:07Speaker 4: to him if he comes across them. We ended on
- 10:10Speaker 4: good terms, so I'm not trying to offend him.
- 10:14Speaker 2: All right, first and foremost? Can I jump in here?
- 10:16Speaker 5: Go ahead?
- 10:17Speaker 1: All right, first and foremost, Gabby, you can use whatever
- 10:22Speaker 1: pictures you want, Okay, who cares if you got to
- 10:24Speaker 1: crop out ex boyfriend?
- 10:26Speaker 6: Now?
- 10:26Speaker 1: You ended on good terms, so I'm not gonna make jokes. Okay,
- 10:29Speaker 1: I'll be nice to him. But my question is, as
- 10:34Speaker 1: a strategy, do you want to use cropped out pictures
- 10:37Speaker 1: where people are going, oh, like this person just got
- 10:40Speaker 1: out of a relationship And it might have been weeks, months,
- 10:44Speaker 1: maybe even years, but the cropped out picture might come
- 10:48Speaker 1: off as I, oh, did she just get out of
- 10:51Speaker 1: a relationship? Yeah, it could have some fellas swipe in. Uh,
- 10:55Speaker 1: what's the no left left. It could have some fellows
- 10:57Speaker 1: swipe in no. So I'm just saying as a stre
- 11:01Speaker 1: is that the best choice?
- 11:02Speaker 5: Right?
- 11:02Speaker 4: Because one of these crop pictures look like is it
- 11:05Speaker 4: that you're gonna crop him out?
- 11:06Speaker 3: But there's a big old beefy man hand on your shoulder?
- 11:10Speaker 2: Yeah exactly, you know.
- 11:11Speaker 3: Oh it's spooky season. She can just be like that.
- 11:14Speaker 3: That's from the Adams family.
- 11:15Speaker 2: I like that.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Yeah, put that in the bio. So, but yeah, you
- 11:18Speaker 1: could crop the guy who cares. I feel like it's
- 11:21Speaker 1: weird about his feelings at this point.
- 11:23Speaker 4: I think it's weird to use cropped photos. But I
- 11:27Speaker 4: do think that you can use the ones that he
- 11:29Speaker 4: took of you, because that's that's fine. But maybe like
- 11:34Speaker 4: the ones where he's in them and you have to
- 11:36Speaker 4: crop him out, Like, can't you just skip those? Are
- 11:38Speaker 4: there not enough photos that's that he took of you
- 11:41Speaker 4: here just to avoid you know?
- 11:43Speaker 1: Yeah, Gabby, I'll give you some fella advice. You might
- 11:46Speaker 1: look great in those. You might have asked him to
- 11:48Speaker 1: take it while you were at whatever state park here
- 11:51Speaker 1: in North Dakota. Right, he doesn't remember taking those, he
- 11:55Speaker 1: doesn't care. We don't pay attention to that.
- 11:58Speaker 3: Oh, but you know it would be so funny.
- 12:00Speaker 1: There's no chance of Corey handed me her phone. It
- 12:02Speaker 1: was like, which pictures of these did you take?
- 12:04Speaker 3: Oh? Well, I mean, wouldn't she hid it?
- 12:10Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 12:10Speaker 4: We put this on the Facebook page, so you can
- 12:14Speaker 4: send your comments there, or you can call us seven
- 12:17Speaker 4: oh one two eight oh one nine eight seven. Is
- 12:19Speaker 4: it okay for Gabby to use pictures on her new
- 12:23Speaker 4: dating profile that may have had her.
- 12:26Speaker 3: X in them?
- 12:27Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 12:27Speaker 1: Let us know this morning here on Big ninety eight
- 12:29Speaker 1: point seven.
- 12:35Speaker 2: PM.
- 12:36Speaker 4: So Gabby wrote in asking if it is okay for
- 12:40Speaker 4: her to use photos that her ex took of her
- 12:44Speaker 4: and photos that he was in if she crops him
- 12:47Speaker 4: out when she uploads pictures to her new dating app profiles.
- 12:53Speaker 4: I think it's totally fine to use the pictures that
- 12:56Speaker 4: he took of her. However, I think maybe just skip
- 13:00Speaker 4: the ones where she has to crop him out.
- 13:04Speaker 3: I think that's what.
- 13:04Speaker 2: She should do. Yeah, I kind of agree. I mean,
- 13:07Speaker 2: is this.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Dude like a professional photographer? Do these photos? Does he
- 13:15Speaker 1: go and like hand edit him? Is he using a
- 13:18Speaker 1: canon eos?
- 13:19Speaker 2: Does she be mark? Whatever?
- 13:21Speaker 3: Does she have to put the watermark?
- 13:23Speaker 1: Yeah, his photography or did this guy simply go to
- 13:27Speaker 1: portrait mode on his iPhone fourteen and take this picture?
- 13:32Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 13:32Speaker 4: They Yeah, doesn't care if you look good in the picture,
- 13:35Speaker 4: that's fine.
- 13:36Speaker 3: I think cropping him out.
- 13:38Speaker 4: Of pictures, like, are those pictures so necessary to your profile?
- 13:42Speaker 4: Just because if you're gonna crop him out and you
- 13:44Speaker 4: might still seem like his hand on a shoulder or
- 13:47Speaker 4: his hand around a waist, you know what I mean?
- 13:49Speaker 1: Yeah, And from what I'm seeing on Facebook, Angie, most
- 13:52Speaker 1: people kind of don't agree with us. What yeah, analyse
- 13:55Speaker 1: I do think analise or excuse me, I'm sorry. Elizabeth
- 13:59Speaker 1: had a good idea, But I'll get to what Annaly said.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Annaly said, take new ones, time for a fresh start, Okay.
- 14:06Speaker 3: I mean I get that, I get that.
- 14:09Speaker 1: I understand that. I think that's a little bit easier
- 14:11Speaker 1: said than done, though. I mean, if you want your
- 14:13Speaker 1: profile to look interesting and like you go out and
- 14:15Speaker 1: do things, you can't just have nineteen pictures of you
- 14:18Speaker 1: in your seven hundred foot square apart of a square
- 14:21Speaker 1: foot apartment.
- 14:22Speaker 3: I feel like yet, like, no, I'm ready to get
- 14:25Speaker 3: on that profile.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Now now that's right, And Elizabeth, I like this idea,
- 14:30Speaker 1: I kind of forget that you have this option.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Use AI to remove him.
- 14:35Speaker 1: They are photos of you, but also how long ago
- 14:38Speaker 1: was the breakup? Is it time for new photos? That
- 14:41Speaker 1: is an excellent idea, though maybe new current ones. But
- 14:45Speaker 1: if you have a couple ones where you are looking
- 14:47Speaker 1: like a snack and you got some goofball next to you, just.
- 14:50Speaker 2: Ask a I to remove him, you know, genius.
- 14:53Speaker 4: I think that's a good idea, But I've decided she's
- 14:56Speaker 4: got to go a different route altogether. She needs to
- 14:59Speaker 4: think like a man. And by that I mean take
- 15:02Speaker 4: a picture gamby that you took five years ago, that
- 15:07Speaker 4: you think you look great in it, and then have
- 15:10Speaker 4: that be the only picture you have on your profile
- 15:13Speaker 4: and don't update it forever, because that's what men do.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean we have like four pictures taken of
- 15:20Speaker 1: us in our life.
- 15:20Speaker 4: Oh yeah, you get one and you're in a suit.
- 15:23Speaker 4: You're riding that thing out for a decade.
- 15:26Speaker 1: A good profile pick of a dude in a suit.
- 15:29Speaker 1: We are definitely riding the wave as long as we
- 15:32Speaker 1: possibly can. Benjie, you are not alone in being an
- 15:38Speaker 1: old soul trapped in a mid young thirties body.
- 15:42Speaker 4: Okay, I like I was worried what you were gonna
- 15:45Speaker 4: call me. I'm okay with that, that's fine.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I found out that Kayla still uses a VHS
- 15:51Speaker 1: player and an Eyepod touch A good for you.
- 15:54Speaker 3: A VHS player, sir, it's a VCR. Don't act like you.
- 15:57Speaker 1: Don't know what that is. It's awesome of you guys
- 15:59Speaker 1: to go with the classics. You know, what do you
- 16:02Speaker 1: what do you? What do you watch on the that VCR?
- 16:05Speaker 1: A Shaw Shank Redemption?
- 16:07Speaker 4: Uh?
- 16:08Speaker 3: Yeah, duh.
- 16:09Speaker 2: I feel like it's aatvie.
- 16:10Speaker 4: I wish I could I watch Blu rays and which
- 16:14Speaker 4: is crazy. I know that it's outdated, but there are
- 16:18Speaker 4: some things that you just can't get on a streaming platform. Specifically,
- 16:22Speaker 4: I had tried to the great classic film Who Am
- 16:27Speaker 4: I starring Jackie Chan that is not on any streaming service,
- 16:31Speaker 4: and I looked at all of them, and.
- 16:33Speaker 3: So I had to order it on Blu Ray.
- 16:35Speaker 4: But I was honestly fine with that because I there's
- 16:37Speaker 4: something about having a physical copy of a movie. I'm
- 16:40Speaker 4: such a movie buff like that means everything to me.
- 16:43Speaker 4: I still have that huge you know how people have
- 16:47Speaker 4: it for CDs, The big Book of Yeah, I have that,
- 16:51Speaker 4: but full of DVDs.
- 16:52Speaker 3: I have like two of those DVDs and blue rays, like,
- 16:54Speaker 3: I still think that.
- 16:56Speaker 4: I think we need to go back to that because
- 16:57Speaker 4: fun fact in that it's not fun at all if
- 17:01Speaker 4: you purchase a movie for streaming on Amazon. The fine
- 17:05Speaker 4: print is that if for some reason they decide to
- 17:07Speaker 4: just like not have that movie anymore now, even though
- 17:10Speaker 4: you bought it for twenty something dollars or whatever, then
- 17:13Speaker 4: you lose the movie too. So it's safer to have
- 17:16Speaker 4: physical copies. I think we need to go back to that. Also,
- 17:19Speaker 4: I love a VHS tape. I have a huge collection.
- 17:22Speaker 4: But the issue is that I no longer have a VCR,
- 17:24Speaker 4: so I need to find a VCR. But if I
- 17:27Speaker 4: find one that isn't like, they're really expensive now because they're.
- 17:32Speaker 2: So old out there.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Next Angie's gonna tell me she's using a walkman or
- 17:37Speaker 1: a tape player.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, to the Red Hot Chili Peppers from
- 17:41Speaker 2: nineteen ninety two.
- 17:43Speaker 3: I have a boombox game.
- 17:45Speaker 1: Oh my god, seven oh one two eight zero one
- 17:48Speaker 1: nine eight seven. You know it's funny. I'm giving you
- 17:50Speaker 1: a lot of grief here this morning. Yeah, as I'm
- 17:53Speaker 1: someone who still listens to records from nineteen seventy, so.
- 17:56Speaker 2: I don't have the poop. I don't have a ton
- 17:57Speaker 2: of room to talk here.
- 17:59Speaker 1: Blake, what old technology do you have or you know,
- 18:01Speaker 1: are you refusing to get rid of?
- 18:03Speaker 5: Believe it or not? I still use the VCR. I
- 18:06Speaker 5: have all that tape that I will not get rid of.
- 18:08Speaker 5: They still work. I mean they might not be crystal
- 18:11Speaker 5: clear like a DVD or streaming service, but they are
- 18:14Speaker 5: mine and I like using them.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Yeah, those things are not crystal You know what watching
- 18:18Speaker 1: a movie on VHS is like? Now, It's like putting
- 18:21Speaker 1: on prescription glasses when you don't need them. That is
- 18:24Speaker 1: how hard it is to see the screen on.
- 18:26Speaker 6: A v JOB.
- 18:27Speaker 4: Don't hate on VHS tapes. Now you got to do
- 18:29Speaker 4: one further and have the little race card that specifically
- 18:34Speaker 4: is just to rewind a VHS tape.
- 18:36Speaker 1: We had that, Yes, all right, what about you, Sarah?
- 18:39Speaker 1: Old technology?
- 18:41Speaker 6: I still use my iPod Classic from two thousand and seven.
- 18:44Speaker 6: Everyone lasts until they realized that they had thirty thousand
- 18:47Speaker 6: songs on it and still works better than.
- 18:49Speaker 5: Half of their Bluetooth junk.
- 18:50Speaker 6: No notifications, no ads, no distractions, just me my earbuds
- 18:55Speaker 6: in the same playlist I cry to in high school.
- 18:57Speaker 1: I think we need to introduce Sarah and Kayla, who
- 19:00Speaker 1: had messaged us here at Big ninety eight point seven.
- 19:03Speaker 1: Those two seemed like two peas in a pod.
- 19:05Speaker 3: Or that's what it is, two peas in a pod.
- 19:08Speaker 2: Yeah, well, I was gonna wait for you to make
- 19:10Speaker 2: the iPod joke.
- 19:11Speaker 4: Usually, Oh yeah, no, I'm still reminiscent in my head
- 19:14Speaker 4: about VNH.
- 19:18Speaker 1: I have a wonderful story for you here, Angie, to
- 19:21Speaker 1: end our eight o'clock hour.
- 19:23Speaker 2: We like to call it gabes good News of the day.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Stories like this, I think, are always what reminds you
- 19:28Speaker 1: of my favorite quote and why I say it every day.
- 19:30Speaker 1: You know, the world's full of nice people. If you
- 19:32Speaker 1: can't find one, you gotta be one. The dude who
- 19:34Speaker 1: helps out Tim in this story is exactly what that is,
- 19:38Speaker 1: all right. A few years ago, this man named Tim
- 19:43Speaker 1: went to see a doctor about some back pain, but
- 19:45Speaker 1: he was sadly diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. His kidneys
- 19:49Speaker 1: failed and his life was turns up turned upside down.
- 19:52Speaker 1: He had to rely on dialysis for four hours a day,
- 19:55Speaker 1: three days a week. That obviously left him exhausted. He
- 19:58Speaker 1: was unable to work. His friends offered to donate, but
- 20:01Speaker 1: none were a match, so, out of desperation, his mom
- 20:05Speaker 1: turned to Facebook looking for a donor. Well, this father
- 20:09Speaker 1: of three named Joe stepped up to the plate.
- 20:11Speaker 2: Here.
- 20:11Speaker 1: He saw the post and even though he didn't know
- 20:13Speaker 1: this person at all, he was deeply moved and decided
- 20:17Speaker 1: to help him. So Joe, He's a thirty nine year
- 20:19Speaker 1: old and he is a driver from a completely different state.
- 20:22Speaker 1: He doesn't even live in Missouri. He went through months
- 20:25Speaker 1: of testing. He is the perfect match. Joe went and
- 20:30Speaker 1: Joe and Tim met for the first time to complete
- 20:33Speaker 1: the paperwork, and the transplant surgery took place last month.
- 20:38Speaker 1: It was successful. Tim is obviously very grateful and the
- 20:42Speaker 1: kidney started working right away. He feels healthier and no
- 20:46Speaker 1: longer wakes up with fluid in his lungs. It's really
- 20:48Speaker 1: a beautiful story about you know what. There are amazing,
- 20:52Speaker 1: incredible things that happen every single day. And if you
- 20:56Speaker 1: don't look for him, if you don't find him, you
- 20:58Speaker 1: know you're gonna see a lot of junk. You know,
- 21:00Speaker 1: TV or hear it on your radio or what have you.
- 21:02Speaker 1: So I always love stories like this. These strangers don't
- 21:05Speaker 1: have a clue that the other person exists, and now
- 21:09Speaker 1: he basically saves his life.
- 21:10Speaker 3: So I really love this. I have chills.
- 21:12Speaker 4: That is so sweet and I'm so mad I put
- 21:14Speaker 4: on mascara.
- 21:16Speaker 1: All right, we got it today. The world is full
- 21:18Speaker 1: of nice people. If you can't find one, you gotta
- 21:21Speaker 1: be one.
