- 0:04Speaker 1: Hey everyone, I'm Nicole, and your listen.
- 0:08Speaker 2: You screwed it up. You're supposed you're supposed to let
- 0:10Speaker 2: me introduce myself to So I'm bad. I'm Nicol and
- 0:16Speaker 2: this is Wicked and Graham.
- 0:20Speaker 1: True.
- 0:20Speaker 2: I'm conci.
- 0:30Speaker 3: Your audience. I just wishing that.
- 0:55Speaker 1: Int Okay, our intro is just getting better and better.
- 0:59Speaker 3: No man crying?
- 1:02Speaker 1: Okay, well, I just like almost like, what are we doing?
- 1:06Speaker 2: You are crying. There's actual tears coming out of your things.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Oh I needed that. I needed a laugh. Oh my gosh. Okay, welcome,
- 1:15Speaker 1: Welcome to Wicked and Crib. Bring a drink, gob your drinks.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Yeah, our podcast, this is our podcast. We're kind of
- 1:23Speaker 2: a shit show, but we love it that well.
- 1:25Speaker 1: I normally don't drink while I'm presenting, but like I'm
- 1:29Speaker 1: fucking doing it today because I need this.
- 1:31Speaker 2: It's been a week and a time.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Yeah, So if I need to like pause for a
- 1:37Speaker 1: minute to take a drink, I think we're gonna just
- 1:39Speaker 1: be okay with that.
- 1:39Speaker 2: That's totally cool.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Yeah, We're gonna just do it.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Yeah. Because we've been while trying to sell our house,
- 1:46Speaker 2: and I mean by trying, we've had accepted offers but
- 1:49Speaker 2: there's long story short, there's just a lot of stupid
- 1:53Speaker 2: things going on with it, and we'll leave it at that.
- 1:56Speaker 2: So it's been a stressful.
- 1:58Speaker 1: It's been a very stressful week. Yes, But it's almost
- 2:02Speaker 1: sure and the lot for the tiny home is almost ready.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Yes, So it's hopefully getting parked on its leveled out
- 2:10Speaker 2: spot this weekend and then we can.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Start moving in, decide what we want to keep and
- 2:16Speaker 1: stuff we can.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Decide we want to keep first, we got to. We'll
- 2:19Speaker 2: be moving in once the offer on our current house
- 2:22Speaker 2: actually is solidified, because there's still like some subjects to remove.
- 2:26Speaker 2: It's basically done, but as soon as it's done on
- 2:29Speaker 2: paper is when we can start moving.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Yeah. All I can think about right now is I'm like,
- 2:35Speaker 1: next week we should try to have a normal intro.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Maybe that's literally.
- 2:40Speaker 1: All that's going. We can promise anything, I know, we
- 2:42Speaker 1: literally can't, like right, and we just we just can't.
- 2:45Speaker 1: We just get well, Okay, we have been promising one
- 2:47Speaker 1: thing very well, and that is we show up every Tuesday.
- 2:50Speaker 2: That's true. That's true. We've kept to that since February.
- 2:55Speaker 1: I don't even know.
- 2:56Speaker 2: I think I think it was like the last week
- 2:58Speaker 2: of February was our first episode and we haven't missed
- 3:00Speaker 2: Tuesday yet. Yeah, despite work schedules, being sick, selling a house,
- 3:05Speaker 2: buying a tiny home, vacations. Yeah, we've stuck through it
- 3:09Speaker 2: all and.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Here we are so and it's paying off.
- 3:11Speaker 2: And the best part about it is that you guys
- 3:13Speaker 2: are still here listening to us through it all and
- 3:15Speaker 2: our whole shit shows.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Yeah, and we absolutely, like, just so appreciate you so much.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Yeah, you have no idea the messages we get to
- 3:22Speaker 2: your website, email, Instagram, Facebook, It's incredible. You guys make
- 3:27Speaker 2: this so worth it.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Oh gosh. Yeah, because if it wasn't for that, really,
- 3:31Speaker 1: like we probably wouldn't be doing this.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Why would we be doing this? And I just want
- 3:36Speaker 2: to point out one thing, okay, because we've had a
- 3:38Speaker 2: lot of people recently who do message us and when
- 3:40Speaker 2: we reply, they like, oh my god, you're replying. Yeah,
- 3:45Speaker 2: well of course we're replying, Like I do know, we
- 3:47Speaker 2: miss it some sometimes, I'm sure something.
- 3:49Speaker 1: It's pretty rare. I feel like that we miss a
- 3:52Speaker 1: message or comment.
- 3:55Speaker 2: But I mean, like, of course we're going to reply
- 3:57Speaker 2: to you guys. We're not famous. We're just a couple
- 4:01Speaker 2: with a podcast at this point.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Really, that literally just uses an excuse to have a beverage.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Yeah, on a Monday night, we're not in a studio.
- 4:09Speaker 2: We're in our spare bedroom right now, in our house,
- 4:11Speaker 2: where you're not anyone special with a network or anything, not.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Yet, not yet. Hey, but I think I'm pretty special.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Well, you're pretty special.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Like in a good way. Pretty special.
- 4:23Speaker 2: You're pretty special, pretty special.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Everyone's pretty special, definitely in their own way.
- 4:27Speaker 2: But I'm just saying we're just we're just like you, guys.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Just the only difference is we're researching these cases and
- 4:33Speaker 2: talking about it to you.
- 4:34Speaker 4: That's it.
- 4:35Speaker 2: That's the only difference. We're just like you.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Yeah, I think honestly, will I will like always try
- 4:40Speaker 1: to respond. I mean sometimes it's like harder than other
- 4:44Speaker 1: weeks or whatever, but like I think it's important respond.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Like that's sweet. Definitely we love hearing from you guys
- 4:50Speaker 1: to the yes, Yeah, we're ready, I'm ready, We're ready,
- 4:55Speaker 1: I'm ready, And we gave I gave zero hints for
- 4:59Speaker 1: this case. That's how I decided to win this week
- 5:02Speaker 1: by just not giving you a hint. So this is
- 5:06Speaker 1: the story of Colleen Ritzer, and I think it's like
- 5:09Speaker 1: a pretty well known story. I feel like we've done
- 5:12Speaker 1: some that aren't as well known, but I think this
- 5:14Speaker 1: is pretty well known. So Colleen is a teacher at
- 5:18Speaker 1: Danvers High School. She's a math teacher. To be exact.
- 5:21Speaker 1: It had always been Colleen's dream to be a teacher,
- 5:24Speaker 1: and she excelled at math, so that is how she
- 5:27Speaker 1: decided that she would teach that subject. Being just twenty
- 5:31Speaker 1: four and a new teacher, Colleen lived at home in Andover, Massachusetts, Massachusetts, Massachusetts,
- 5:39Speaker 1: with her parents, Peg and Tom, which was about half
- 5:42Speaker 1: an hour away from where she worked in Danvers. She
- 5:45Speaker 1: was the oldest child. She had a brother who was
- 5:48Speaker 1: away at college, and a sister who was a senior
- 5:50Speaker 1: in high school. And I don't think she was a
- 5:52Speaker 1: senior in the same high school that Colleen worked, but
- 5:55Speaker 1: I couldn't necessarily find that out. I think she probably
- 5:57Speaker 1: was a senior at Andover High School. Okay, and Colleen
- 6:02Speaker 1: worked at Divers Okay, okay, fair enough. And she was
- 6:05Speaker 1: a family gal. She loved her family. They sounded like
- 6:08Speaker 1: they were like a close family.
- 6:09Speaker 2: Awesome.
- 6:10Speaker 1: I love that, Yeah, like I just love that. Love
- 6:14Speaker 1: your family, Yes, well, if they're I mean, some people
- 6:16Speaker 1: are crazy, but they're not crazy. You love your family,
- 6:19Speaker 1: love them anyway.
- 6:20Speaker 2: I mean, love those who would love you.
- 6:24Speaker 1: How's that that's true? Yeah, that's true?
- 6:27Speaker 2: And fun fact, I think I might have told you
- 6:29Speaker 2: this before, but you know that saying blood is thicker
- 6:32Speaker 2: than water?
- 6:34Speaker 1: Yes?
- 6:35Speaker 2: Do you know the full saying is actually the blood
- 6:38Speaker 2: of the coven is thicker than the water of the womb.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Oh okay, I've heard that too.
- 6:43Speaker 2: Yeah, like the relationships you bond with those in your coven,
- 6:47Speaker 2: your friends, even your family, those who you are close
- 6:50Speaker 2: with and you bond these relationships with through trials, tribunes
- 6:54Speaker 2: and through your life are greater than those that you're
- 6:57Speaker 2: just born into. So just because you're born into this
- 7:01Speaker 2: family doesn't mean you have to be close, be close
- 7:03Speaker 2: with the ones who appreciate you and love you and
- 7:06Speaker 2: are in your your coven. That's what I'm saying.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Maybe she's born with it. Yeah, it's all that went
- 7:11Speaker 1: through my mind when you're saying that, Which is.
- 7:14Speaker 2: What's Maybe it's Maybeline?
- 7:16Speaker 1: Is it Maybeline?
- 7:17Speaker 2: I think it's Maybeling.
- 7:18Speaker 1: But yeah, I always say like your friends are your
- 7:21Speaker 1: chosen family, right, because I say that often.
- 7:24Speaker 2: So there's nothing against family, but I'm just saying you
- 7:27Speaker 2: don't have any obligation, is my only point.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Well, yeah, if they are assholes to you, then yeah,
- 7:33Speaker 1: you know that's that. I think that's what we're saying.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:36Speaker 1: So anyway, Colleen liked her family and they were close.
- 7:40Speaker 2: Though, so they weren't assholes.
- 7:42Speaker 1: So that was quite a dangent there, That's funny. At
- 7:45Speaker 1: the time of Colleen's story, it was the Fall of
- 7:47Speaker 1: twenty thirteen, and she loved Fall and she loved Halloween.
- 7:52Speaker 2: Yes, she's my kind of girl.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Yeah, so if you already didn't think she was sweet,
- 7:55Speaker 1: now you don't.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Yeah, she's cool now, definitely super cool. Halloween is the
- 7:58Speaker 2: best euro upsess.
- 8:01Speaker 1: Yeah, Like we already have Halloween shit in our stories
- 8:04Speaker 1: on Instagram or on our feed.
- 8:06Speaker 2: Yeah we do. It's just gonna get worse did weeks ago.
- 8:09Speaker 1: It's just gonna get worse.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Yep.
- 8:12Speaker 1: So it was calling second year teaching at I'm gonna
- 8:14Speaker 1: call it DHS Danvers High School. DHS was grade nine
- 8:19Speaker 1: to twelve and had about one thousand students. She was
- 8:23Speaker 1: afe teacher and she tried to make herself relatable and
- 8:27Speaker 1: connect with her students. So this is super cool. She
- 8:30Speaker 1: had a Twitter account where she would engage with her
- 8:32Speaker 1: students with like jokes, tips, reminders kind of thing.
- 8:36Speaker 2: That's cool.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Yeah it's still out there. So I was like kind
- 8:39Speaker 1: of scrolling, but I'm like that's super cool, Like good
- 8:42Speaker 1: for her.
- 8:43Speaker 2: That's definitely a way to engage in. Like I don't
- 8:46Speaker 2: want to say get down on their level, because I'm
- 8:48Speaker 2: not saying like get down like they're a low level,
- 8:50Speaker 2: but like, you know, be with them it they're in
- 8:54Speaker 2: their atmosphere.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Totally, because yeah, she would or she would have like
- 8:59Speaker 1: or you're what were some of her posts like your
- 9:02Speaker 1: test marks are up? Or like little homework assignment things
- 9:06Speaker 1: like it was just and then like little like memes
- 9:08Speaker 1: of like math stuff.
- 9:09Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 9:09Speaker 2: See that's a great way to communicate with your kids.
- 9:11Speaker 1: Yeah, it's awesome. So I'm like, you're sweet.
- 9:14Speaker 2: I wanted to I want a teacher who'd I want
- 9:16Speaker 2: to go back to high school just so I can
- 9:17Speaker 2: have a teacher who'd post memes. I know social media.
- 9:19Speaker 1: Well, I think like not that all teachers don't, but
- 9:22Speaker 1: like some I think definitely care more about like their
- 9:24Speaker 1: students success. And I think that she really she was
- 9:26Speaker 1: one of those that, like, you know, really went above
- 9:28Speaker 1: and beyond.
- 9:29Speaker 2: That's awesome. That's that's a teacher you want.
- 9:31Speaker 1: I know she's she was, She's terrific. So she normally
- 9:35Speaker 1: arrived at school early. This particular morning, the morning of
- 9:38Speaker 1: October twenty second, she would arrive just before seven am.
- 9:42Speaker 1: But it wasn't like any other day for many reasons.
- 9:45Speaker 1: But to start off with, it was dressed like your
- 9:47Speaker 1: friend day. Oh nice, which is like super cool.
- 9:51Speaker 2: That's a good warm up to Halloween coming up too,
- 9:53Speaker 2: because it's twenty seconds. Yeah. Yeah.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Like my favorite day of those themes or whatever was
- 9:59Speaker 1: Pajama Day. I was obsessed with pajamitay Jammy day was
- 10:02Speaker 1: pretty dope jamm Day or wacky hair Day.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Yeah, you can do a lot. My favorite, though, I
- 10:06Speaker 2: gotta say, Pirate Day was pretty sick.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Did we have those kind of as in high school
- 10:10Speaker 1: or was that more elementary?
- 10:11Speaker 2: It was more elementary, though we did have someone in
- 10:13Speaker 2: high school.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Did we? I can hardly remember.
- 10:16Speaker 2: I remember Pirate Day specifically because there was one kid
- 10:19Speaker 2: who showed up dressed like a ninja on Pirate Day
- 10:21Speaker 2: and I thought it was hilarious.
- 10:24Speaker 1: That's why you remember it. Yes, Oh that's so awesome.
- 10:27Speaker 2: I mean, who shows up dressed like a pirate when
- 10:29Speaker 2: it's like an Asa, when it's Pirate day, it's a black.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Person did, and they probably thought they were sweet. Probably
- 10:35Speaker 1: you were like I thought of that.
- 10:36Speaker 2: Yeah, it's funny.
- 10:39Speaker 1: So carrying her black tope bag and lunch bag, Colleen
- 10:42Speaker 1: wore a purple shirt and black pants to match her
- 10:45Speaker 1: friend and fellow math teacher, Sarah Colle, went about her
- 10:49Speaker 1: day with nothing seeming to be outside of the ordinary.
- 10:53Speaker 1: After formal classes were done, the school had a period
- 10:56Speaker 1: called Bubble Period between one fifty five and two to thirty.
- 11:01Speaker 1: And this is like super cool. It's appeared in which
- 11:04Speaker 1: students could study or see teachers for extra help. Teachers
- 11:07Speaker 1: made themselves available between this time.
- 11:10Speaker 2: Nice.
- 11:10Speaker 1: I'm like, that's sick.
- 11:12Speaker 2: Yeah, that's genius. Yeah, that's a good way to actually
- 11:15Speaker 2: get that extra help you might need because rather than
- 11:17Speaker 2: a lot of times you're back and forth between classes
- 11:20Speaker 2: or trying to get there after school and still trying
- 11:23Speaker 2: to catch the bus or a four class and it's
- 11:26Speaker 2: just hectic. So having that open time designated to that
- 11:29Speaker 2: glorious Well.
- 11:30Speaker 1: Yeah, you were like a kid that had to take
- 11:32Speaker 1: the bus. I never had to take the bus, so
- 11:34Speaker 1: it's like if you have to catch your bus, like
- 11:37Speaker 1: there's absolutely no way you can step behind to talk
- 11:39Speaker 1: to a teacher exactly. Huh. So that it's like amazing.
- 11:42Speaker 1: I think that's perfect. Sorry, I still have a little
- 11:45Speaker 1: bit of a cough.
- 11:45Speaker 2: Maybe you should take a drink of your booze, my
- 11:48Speaker 2: booth of your booze.
- 11:49Speaker 1: I don't know if that makes me cough more or less?
- 11:53Speaker 2: Maybe more maybe less.
- 11:55Speaker 1: It's a peach rosemary. What would this be called?
- 11:59Speaker 2: Uh spread seltzer.
- 12:01Speaker 1: There you go, super very delicious.
- 12:03Speaker 2: It sounds disgusting, Okay.
- 12:05Speaker 1: The first time I actually take a sip, I was like,
- 12:07Speaker 1: this is disgusting. Yes, but I I just ever since
- 12:10Speaker 1: that first sip, I've loved it.
- 12:12Speaker 2: Now after that first yeah, yeah, I crave it. Shout
- 12:16Speaker 2: out to our local brewery, Trench because they brew it.
- 12:19Speaker 1: Yeah, and it's it's honestly amazing. I don't know if
- 12:21Speaker 1: I've ever had another, like a better can.
- 12:23Speaker 2: Yeah, that combination though, it just doesn't sound right to me.
- 12:26Speaker 2: Peach and rosemary. That's like saying you're gonna have a
- 12:29Speaker 2: nice peach pie with turkey dinner. And it's like those
- 12:31Speaker 2: combinations don't generally work.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, they don't, but it's it's it's phenomenal. Yeah,
- 12:37Speaker 1: tenada ten, ten out of.
- 12:39Speaker 2: Ten, not like eleven out of ten or ten and
- 12:42Speaker 2: a half.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Yeah, when when did ten outa ten not become good enough?
- 12:46Speaker 1: Let's just talk about that.
- 12:48Speaker 2: You know, you have a point because.
- 12:50Speaker 1: Yeah, nowadays it's like tenada ten isn't good enough. It's
- 12:53Speaker 1: got to be like twenty out of ten. Ten out
- 12:54Speaker 1: of ten is one hundred percent. It's a perfect score,
- 12:56Speaker 1: one hundred percent.
- 12:57Speaker 2: No, you got to go one hundred and ten percent.
- 12:59Speaker 1: Oh my goness anything going on? Because that's like, no,
- 13:03Speaker 1: everyone doesn't get a ribbon here.
- 13:05Speaker 2: But I want a ribbon? Can I have a rub?
- 13:09Speaker 1: That might be an unpopular opinion? I don't know. Sorry,
- 13:12Speaker 1: I apologize, No, I agree, Okay, moving on, So now
- 13:16Speaker 1: it comes to introducing introducing Philip Chisholm. So, Philip is
- 13:20Speaker 1: a fourteen year old. He was a freshman at d
- 13:23Speaker 1: h S.
- 13:24Speaker 2: Can I interrupt for a second? Yeah, are you really
- 13:28Speaker 2: going to escape by the fact that his name is
- 13:29Speaker 2: Philip Chisholm?
- 13:31Speaker 1: Yeah? Why what's so funny?
- 13:33Speaker 2: It sounds like Philip chism Philip.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Oh, gosh, yeah, if you're a fourteen year old boy,
- 13:41Speaker 1: I'm thirty three, thank you. No, I didn't catch that, Ben,
- 13:47Speaker 1: I was the first thing that popped in my head.
- 13:48Speaker 1: I was like, there was actually something else in here
- 13:51Speaker 1: that was like kind of like fourteen year old boyish.
- 13:55Speaker 1: And I took out because I was like, Ben, just
- 13:56Speaker 1: gonna comment about that.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Sorry, it's okay.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Yeah, it was a store. It was called like it
- 14:03Speaker 1: was called BJ's or something DJ's something like, yeah, it
- 14:08Speaker 1: came out anyway though, whatever, in case you're wondering, Okay, continue, okay, Okay,
- 14:16Speaker 1: So where the frig was I? Okay? So he was fourteen.
- 14:20Speaker 1: He was a freshman, and he had recently moved from Tennessee.
- 14:24Speaker 1: He moved to Danvers with his mom, who and his
- 14:27Speaker 1: parents had recently separated. Kind of like, I don't think
- 14:31Speaker 1: it was the best separation of all times.
- 14:33Speaker 2: Well, no separation is really good?
- 14:36Speaker 1: Probably not. No. Well, I mean I've heard of some
- 14:38Speaker 1: that aren't too bad, I don't think, and there's some
- 14:40Speaker 1: that are particular bad, and I think this one was
- 14:42Speaker 1: probably more on their particular bad side. So, but he
- 14:46Speaker 1: was seeming to fit in all right. He made a
- 14:48Speaker 1: couple friends and excelled on the freshman soccer team. Okay,
- 14:51Speaker 1: right on, so Pamela Foss I think it's her last name.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Another teacher at DHS described Philip as a quiet, but
- 15:00Speaker 1: cordial student. Is that how you say that? Cordial?
- 15:04Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know what you're reading.
- 15:06Speaker 1: Sure, I don't know an average student cordial?
- 15:08Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that's like polite.
- 15:12Speaker 1: Yeah, I can't quite right this average student.
- 15:17Speaker 2: I can't say that. I know what words you aren't
- 15:19Speaker 2: trying to say. Now, I can't say it because I'm
- 15:20Speaker 2: like thinking about it, you know, when that happens.
- 15:22Speaker 1: Yeah, I do that all the time.
- 15:24Speaker 2: Because I can remember cordially cordial court.
- 15:30Speaker 1: Is there ever gonna be an episode where we're all
- 15:32Speaker 1: sounding out words?
- 15:33Speaker 2: Probably not?
- 15:34Speaker 1: Okay, So recently asking to move Philip recently asked to
- 15:38Speaker 1: move from the regular history class into the honors history
- 15:41Speaker 1: class because he wanted more of a challenge. But he
- 15:44Speaker 1: was also just an average student who missed some homework assignments.
- 15:47Speaker 1: So I think, like, I don't know, maybe he.
- 15:50Speaker 2: Just liked history, you know, Yeah, maybe, but.
- 15:52Speaker 1: I put that in there. But I also didn't want
- 15:53Speaker 1: it to make him sound like a superstar, because wow,
- 15:57Speaker 1: he's not so. That particular day, Otober twenty second, there
- 16:01Speaker 1: was a quiz in Pamela's history class, and Philip did
- 16:05Speaker 1: very well on the quiz. She noticed nothing unusual about
- 16:09Speaker 1: his appearance or his behavior in class. Philip's last class
- 16:13Speaker 1: of the day before the bubble period was Colleen's math class.
- 16:18Speaker 1: Philip arrived to math class lightly after one, wearing a
- 16:22Speaker 1: red sweatshirt, a black and yellow backpack on his back,
- 16:25Speaker 1: and carrying a red draw string backpack. I just had
- 16:30Speaker 1: a thong when I said that, which is really weird.
- 16:32Speaker 1: When the bubble period started at one with my brain
- 16:38Speaker 1: is just all over the place today. Philip and another
- 16:41Speaker 1: student named Autumn stayed behind in Calling's class, like to
- 16:45Speaker 1: get help or whatever. Colling wasn't after math help, however,
- 16:49Speaker 1: but she rather just really liked Colleen as a teacher.
- 16:52Speaker 1: She was like her favorite teacher okay, and wanted to
- 16:54Speaker 1: just stay behind and visit with her.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Gotcha some chill time.
- 16:57Speaker 1: That's really cool. So Colling like, yeah, that she's liked.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Audamn drew on the board as Philip and Colleen spoke.
- 17:05Speaker 1: She said they spoke of Philip being from Tennessee and
- 17:08Speaker 1: how he really missed it there. Autumn said, Colleen was
- 17:12Speaker 1: super nice about it, but Philip was coming across kind
- 17:15Speaker 1: of annoyed with Colleen's questions and answered in like low
- 17:19Speaker 1: mumblely tones, appearing so he kind of like was appearing
- 17:24Speaker 1: to not want to talk about Tennessee. I suppose.
- 17:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:27Speaker 1: So at one point, Colleen stepped out to talk to
- 17:30Speaker 1: her friend Sarah, the one that she had been she
- 17:32Speaker 1: was twinning with right.
- 17:33Speaker 2: The purple shirt twin Yeah, gotcha.
- 17:37Speaker 1: And Philip then went to the board to draw with Autumn.
- 17:40Speaker 1: They talked about drawing, and Philip had told Autumn that
- 17:43Speaker 1: she was a good jar. Philip would write his name
- 17:46Speaker 1: on the board in Chinese, which Autumn thought was super cool.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Autumn said, Philip came across the fine did not mumble
- 17:52Speaker 1: to her at all, and they just had like a
- 17:55Speaker 1: relatively normal conversation. Okay, So meanwhile, Colleen and Sarah we're
- 18:01Speaker 1: out in his building.
- 18:02Speaker 2: Sorry, I'm just like, did you st even know much
- 18:04Speaker 2: about I know a very little bit. I know who
- 18:08Speaker 2: the victim and who the perpetrator is. That's about it. Okay.
- 18:12Speaker 1: So meanwhile Colleen and Sarah were out in the hallway,
- 18:14Speaker 1: chatting about a meeting that Sarah just had. At one point,
- 18:18Speaker 1: Sarah asked Colleen if she needed to get back into
- 18:20Speaker 1: her classroom to help her students. Colleen said Autumn was
- 18:24Speaker 1: just in there drawing on the whiteboard, and she honestly
- 18:27Speaker 1: didn't know why Philip was there. They continued their conversation,
- 18:30Speaker 1: speaking about shampoo and a teacher or a student having headlace.
- 18:35Speaker 1: Sarah was also having car issues, so Colleen asked if
- 18:39Speaker 1: she needed a ride home, which she unfortunately did not,
- 18:43Speaker 1: so Colle went back into her classroom.
- 18:45Speaker 2: Oh no, I bet you her friends feels terrible about that, though.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Hey, well, terrible for not needing a ride home, okay,
- 18:53Speaker 1: because I honestly don't know. I don't know if that
- 18:55Speaker 1: would have changed the outcome.
- 18:56Speaker 2: Yeah, well was it? Sorry, was it Colleen needing the
- 18:58Speaker 2: ride home?
- 18:59Speaker 1: No, this is a friend, Colleena.
- 19:02Speaker 2: Sorry, I thought you meant that, maybe, Colleen.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Okay, that would have probably changed the outcome.
- 19:06Speaker 2: Yeah, so I got it backwards.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Yeah, so I don't know either way, wouldn't change the outcome,
- 19:11Speaker 1: but still like shit might have got figured out of
- 19:13Speaker 1: it sooner. So when Colleen returned to her classroom, she
- 19:18Speaker 1: told Autumn and Philip that she would be leaving soon.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Autumn packed up to leave first. As she was leaving,
- 19:24Speaker 1: she told Colleen that she was like the best teacher
- 19:27Speaker 1: ever and such a great person and she really liked her.
- 19:31Speaker 1: And I'm like, oh my god, the fields.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Yeah, like, you know, you're doing a good job when
- 19:36Speaker 2: you can impact a student like that, And that might have.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Been the last conversation she had, so just dropping that
- 19:43Speaker 1: bomb right there. Fuck. Autumn said this, however, seemed to
- 19:48Speaker 1: annoy Philip and make him angry. Autumn that she was
- 19:52Speaker 1: like liking Colleen.
- 19:53Speaker 2: Yeah, given that praise, Autumn.
- 19:55Speaker 1: Left the classroom, leaving Philip and Colleen alone. At this
- 20:00Speaker 1: point in the date, there weren't many students left in
- 20:02Speaker 1: that particular area of the school. But before leaving for
- 20:06Speaker 1: the day, Calling left her classroom to head to the
- 20:08Speaker 1: nearest girl's bathroom. And this is where shit goes.
- 20:13Speaker 2: So my friends, buckle up, ladies and gentlemen, take a
- 20:16Speaker 2: swig of that.
- 20:17Speaker 1: Drink, and let's let's do it.
- 20:18Speaker 2: Okay, let's do it.
- 20:23Speaker 1: So Philip, still in the classroom, initially starts following Calling
- 20:29Speaker 1: to the bathroom shortly after she left, like why the
- 20:32Speaker 1: fuck is he following her to the bathroom, Like, don't
- 20:34Speaker 1: fall her to the bathroom. Yeah, And like as I'm
- 20:37Speaker 1: researching this, I'm like calling, look the fuck behind you, please.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Please no, But she didn't.
- 20:43Speaker 1: She didn't. So basically, like our lesson for the fucking
- 20:46Speaker 1: day is like, if you're going to the bathroom, just
- 20:48Speaker 1: look behind you.
- 20:49Speaker 2: If you're gonna go number two, then make sure you
- 20:51Speaker 2: look behind.
- 20:52Speaker 1: You, even number one.
- 20:53Speaker 2: Man, all of the above, Okay, if you go into
- 20:56Speaker 2: the bathroom, look behind you, behind you.
- 20:59Speaker 1: Keep it. Then she's like in a place where she's comfortable, right,
- 21:02Speaker 1: and her guard, her guard is who?
- 21:05Speaker 2: But that that reminds me of that movie. Was it
- 21:08Speaker 2: Zombie Land? I don't know, you don't know. I don't
- 21:12Speaker 2: remember the there's a movie Zombie Land. I'm trying to
- 21:15Speaker 2: remember the actors. I can picture them in everything. Anyways,
- 21:20Speaker 2: through the movie, it's a zombie apocalypse movie, but it's
- 21:22Speaker 2: like kind of comedy as well.
- 21:24Speaker 1: I heart zombies or no, did I make that out?
- 21:26Speaker 2: That's a different one. I heart something else. Anyways, it's
- 21:30Speaker 2: got Woody Harrelson in it. Anyways, throughout the movie there's
- 21:35Speaker 2: like Rules of the Apocalypse's one character made up, and
- 21:38Speaker 2: one of the rules is like, when you're in your vehicle,
- 21:41Speaker 2: always check the backseat. Okay, that kind of reminded me
- 21:45Speaker 2: of that when one of the bathroom, always look behind you.
- 21:48Speaker 1: But I just envision myself like walking to the bathroom
- 21:51Speaker 1: and like checking behind me. You would almost look suspicious
- 21:55Speaker 1: doing that, not you personally saying me, like I look
- 22:00Speaker 1: and I said that, but like if I'm like look
- 22:01Speaker 1: in the bathroom and then I look around, people are like,
- 22:03Speaker 1: what the fuck's she going to do in the bathroom.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Yeah, especially if you're in a high school, Yeah, go
- 22:10Speaker 2: to the bathroom.
- 22:11Speaker 1: I don't know, But who cares if people think you suspicious?
- 22:14Speaker 1: Just look out for yourself? Really, yeah, okay, watch you six.
- 22:18Speaker 1: So Philip had also changed from the wet the red
- 22:21Speaker 1: sweatshirt he had been wearing all day into a light
- 22:24Speaker 1: blue hooded sweatshirt, and he had the hood up concealing
- 22:27Speaker 1: his face. So as he has he followed Colleen, he
- 22:31Speaker 1: briefly scanned the hallway and checked his pockets while looking
- 22:34Speaker 1: Colleen's direction, and he was also in the process of
- 22:37Speaker 1: putting white gloves on as he walked, Like is this
- 22:41Speaker 1: not like like nightmare material? Or what really?
- 22:44Speaker 2: Yes, And I I'm pretty sure you're gonna answer this
- 22:47Speaker 2: later on, but I'm just if Colleen didn't see this,
- 22:50Speaker 2: then how do we know that this is what he
- 22:51Speaker 2: was doing?
- 22:53Speaker 1: Uh? Cameras okay in the hallway?
- 22:55Speaker 2: Gotcha? Okay?
- 22:56Speaker 1: Yeah, So basically, like you're heading into the bathroom in
- 22:59Speaker 1: a place that you think is safe, but no one
- 23:02Speaker 1: is around, and you have some dude following you who's
- 23:04Speaker 1: changed his outfoot, has his hood up, and is pulling
- 23:08Speaker 1: on some fucking gloves.
- 23:09Speaker 2: So whatever he's about to do is clearly premeditated.
- 23:12Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, Well, like do you just carry well, I
- 23:15Speaker 1: don't know, do you just carry the.
- 23:16Speaker 2: Shit in your well? He's carrying a spare hoodie to
- 23:19Speaker 2: put on the first and then Latex or whatever nitrol gloves,
- 23:23Speaker 2: and he's putting them on, whether he just so happened
- 23:26Speaker 2: to have them or he carried them in expecting to
- 23:29Speaker 2: do this, regardless of that situation, he's putting them on
- 23:33Speaker 2: in preparation of what he's about to do.
- 23:34Speaker 1: Get totally premeditated, like he and he had box cutters
- 23:37Speaker 1: in his pocket.
- 23:39Speaker 4: There we go.
- 23:39Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure if you're following with some of the
- 23:41Speaker 1: bathroom like that, you're not up, You're up to no good.
- 23:45Speaker 1: So Colleen enters the bathroom. I imagine she's doing her business.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Philip is outside the bathroom door, listening briefly before he
- 23:52Speaker 1: also enters the bathroom. As I said, he has a
- 23:55Speaker 1: box cutter in hand. And they were in this bathroom
- 24:00Speaker 1: for eleven minutes.
- 24:01Speaker 2: Shit, I can only imagine, like, I'm I'm wondering if
- 24:05Speaker 2: that bathroom locks the inside or something.
- 24:07Speaker 1: It doesn't. It doesn't, no, Like I'm about just to
- 24:11Speaker 1: say it, like so the next sentence shows that it doesn't,
- 24:14Speaker 1: but it's like it could have, but he didn't lock it,
- 24:17Speaker 1: which I thought was really weird.
- 24:18Speaker 2: Yeah, because my imagination immediately went like, you're in the
- 24:23Speaker 2: bathroom and you hear someone come in and then you
- 24:26Speaker 2: just hear the lock just click.
- 24:28Speaker 1: Oh my god, I would literally die. Oh great, now
- 24:33Speaker 1: I'm going to be listening for that. That's just too much. Okay,
- 24:36Speaker 1: it's just too much, Okay, deepress. Okay, So after eleven minutes,
- 24:42Speaker 1: a female student named Danielle entered the bathroom. She only
- 24:47Speaker 1: briefly walked in and then out, saying she saw a
- 24:50Speaker 1: person's butt with skin of a skin tone darker than
- 24:54Speaker 1: her own. The person the butt was leaning towards the
- 24:57Speaker 1: sink and do there was like a half wall that
- 25:00Speaker 1: blot blocked most of her view. She could not see
- 25:04Speaker 1: the person's upper body, and she could not see Colleen.
- 25:07Speaker 1: She couldnt see it. She didn't see any blood or
- 25:09Speaker 1: anything out of the ordinary other than the butt, and
- 25:12Speaker 1: simply thought that she walked in on like a student
- 25:16Speaker 1: changing or something, and left and found another bathroom. Shit. Yeah,
- 25:22Speaker 1: so at this point though, that was the dude, like
- 25:25Speaker 1: cleaning up is what it was.
- 25:26Speaker 2: I'm thinking.
- 25:30Speaker 1: Sure, So at this point, sure, Philip thinks that he's
- 25:35Speaker 1: been caught, right, Like, he wasn't finished at this point,
- 25:38Speaker 1: so caught doing exactly what you're probably wondering. But for now,
- 25:42Speaker 1: I'm just gonna let your imaginations go. So Philip exits
- 25:46Speaker 1: the bathroom and the process of him hiding his crime start,
- 25:51Speaker 1: and it's like, honestly enough to make you ill, Like
- 25:53Speaker 1: a lots of times when I'm researching, I just feel ill.
- 25:55Speaker 1: I don't know if that's normal, but I'm like.
- 25:58Speaker 2: We're researching some dark stuff. I know, like it's it's
- 26:01Speaker 2: pretty good.
- 26:01Speaker 1: I love true crime and stuff. But then just like
- 26:05Speaker 1: getting down deep into it, well, and.
- 26:07Speaker 2: Even sometimes a lot, Yeah, it is, But even sometimes,
- 26:11Speaker 2: like you, we're reading up on how these things were done,
- 26:16Speaker 2: and we're not trying to copy articles word for word
- 26:18Speaker 2: or anything, so we are trying to describe it in
- 26:21Speaker 2: our own ways. So we're trying to picture it, reimagine it,
- 26:25Speaker 2: and then put it into words, which makes it like
- 26:27Speaker 2: that much more heavy when we're researching.
- 26:29Speaker 1: Yeah, like you're reading something and then you digest it
- 26:32Speaker 1: and then you spill it out in your own words
- 26:35Speaker 1: kind of thing. So yeah, it's a lot. It's a lot.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Before I finished just researching this today and I had
- 26:39Speaker 1: to go have a hot shower before it was like,
- 26:42Speaker 1: I mean, did.
- 26:43Speaker 2: You look behind you before you went in the bathroom?
- 26:45Speaker 1: Well, no, shit, I didn't.
- 26:47Speaker 2: What if Kiwi was following you?
- 26:49Speaker 1: I know. Okay, So he exits the bathroom still wearing
- 26:54Speaker 1: the blue sweatshirt he entered the bathroom wearing, and was
- 26:57Speaker 1: now carrying Colleen's black pants over his arm. He also
- 27:02Speaker 1: had her underwear in his possession, so there's a big
- 27:05Speaker 1: old hint of what might have went down in there.
- 27:08Speaker 2: Yeah. The button shit, Yeah, now, I'm certain to I
- 27:13Speaker 2: kind of thought of that, but I was really hoping not.
- 27:16Speaker 1: Yeah, no, he did it. He had blood on his
- 27:19Speaker 1: right hand, but no obvious blood was seen on him
- 27:22Speaker 1: other than that. He was quick to walk down the
- 27:25Speaker 1: hallway and stairs and exit the building. A student's mother
- 27:29Speaker 1: waiting in her car saw Philip crouched down in the bushes.
- 27:33Speaker 1: She said he was changing or pulling up his pants
- 27:35Speaker 1: or something and looking around as if to check to
- 27:37Speaker 1: see if anyone was watching him. He then walked up
- 27:41Speaker 1: the sidewalk back to the and back to the school.
- 27:44Speaker 1: He had removed his hoodie and was now wearing a
- 27:47Speaker 1: white T shirt and no longer carrying Colleen's pants. So
- 27:51Speaker 1: I'm kind of like coughing still, So I do take a.
- 27:53Speaker 2: Drink a drinking game. Every time Nicole coughs, you take.
- 27:58Speaker 1: A drunk, well, like this is the longest cold in history. Hey,
- 28:01Speaker 1: but the cough usually hangs on. Yeah, yeah, it's a
- 28:06Speaker 1: little bit annoying. Kicking his ass though, you don't get baby, Yeah,
- 28:09Speaker 1: I am okay. So, as he entered the school once again,
- 28:13Speaker 1: he ran back up to Colling's second floor classroom, and
- 28:17Speaker 1: we so we know this. This is where I was
- 28:19Speaker 1: going to say it because of like the camera's filming
- 28:22Speaker 1: in the hallways and such, right, mm hmmm, so they
- 28:24Speaker 1: had a security system. Basically, he was quick to emerge
- 28:28Speaker 1: from the classroom now with his his red sweatshirt over
- 28:32Speaker 1: his head and carrying collings, black tote bag and lunch
- 28:35Speaker 1: bag and his own backpack. So he went and grabbed
- 28:38Speaker 1: her shit, which I for as long as when I
- 28:42Speaker 1: read that, I was like, that's so fucked. But I guess,
- 28:45Speaker 1: I guess you would. I don't know.
- 28:46Speaker 2: I mean, he's not going to be able to hide, Like,
- 28:49Speaker 2: what's he going to do. It's an active school. He's
- 28:51Speaker 2: not gonna be able to drag the body out and
- 28:53Speaker 2: hide it somewhere.
- 28:54Speaker 1: Oh he does?
- 28:55Speaker 2: Really did he not get seen other than the cameras?
- 29:00Speaker 2: But how did he not have someone see it?
- 29:01Speaker 1: Just you wait, just you wait.
- 29:03Speaker 2: Because my thought, my thought process was there's no way
- 29:07Speaker 2: he can drag a body out of the bathroom. So
- 29:11Speaker 2: if you can't drag a body out of the bathroom,
- 29:13Speaker 2: what's the point of dragging the possessions out because she's
- 29:15Speaker 2: going to be found.
- 29:16Speaker 1: Oh, she leaves the bathroom. She leaves the bathroom. Okay,
- 29:24Speaker 1: the next sentence has a very big hint. So he
- 29:27Speaker 1: walked down the stairway well carrying her items and headed
- 29:31Speaker 1: towards the school's recycling bins where this recycling bins are
- 29:36Speaker 1: stored and ditch the items that he was holding and
- 29:40Speaker 1: put on his red T shirt and a black bella
- 29:43Speaker 1: clava face mask. He was headed back. I like, what's
- 29:48Speaker 1: the point in disguising yourself, especially at this point too,
- 29:52Speaker 1: But he is still he's still doing that. So he
- 29:55Speaker 1: had a backupstairs to the bathroom calling was in when
- 29:58Speaker 1: he came across his friend. He was looking for him.
- 30:00Speaker 1: So his friend's name is Ramsey, I think, and Ramsey
- 30:05Speaker 1: was waiting for him because they were supposed to meet
- 30:07Speaker 1: before soccer practice started at four, just to like pre practice,
- 30:11Speaker 1: I guess. Okay, So Ramsey had been waiting for him
- 30:13Speaker 1: in the soccer fields, but when he didn't arrive, he
- 30:16Speaker 1: went looking for him. So like Phillips grew up there,
- 30:19Speaker 1: I feel like kidding and as if to lead Ramsey
- 30:23Speaker 1: away from the bathroom, Philip sort of like walking backwards
- 30:27Speaker 1: facing Ramsey, but leading him away from the crime scene.
- 30:31Speaker 1: And just like, no, I'm not even gonna say that,
- 30:34Speaker 1: that might give away too much. So Ramsey noticed Philip
- 30:38Speaker 1: was sweating and kind of like looking scared and asked, well,
- 30:41Speaker 1: what are you doing? Like, what are you doing? Man? Like,
- 30:43Speaker 1: what's going on? So Philip saying he had just lost
- 30:46Speaker 1: something and couldn't find it. He told his friend not
- 30:48Speaker 1: to worry about it and to go back to the
- 30:50Speaker 1: soccer field and he would be there shortly. But Ramsey
- 30:53Speaker 1: was a good friend and he asked what he lost
- 30:55Speaker 1: and can he help him. Philip said it was nothing
- 30:58Speaker 1: and again told Ramsey to head to the soccer field.
- 31:02Speaker 1: He then began to jog away from Ramsey, so like
- 31:05Speaker 1: run away from him, but Ramsey followed him downstairs, saw
- 31:10Speaker 1: Philip grab a recycling bin and head towards the elevator,
- 31:13Speaker 1: asking him what he was doing. But again same response,
- 31:17Speaker 1: So he listened to Philip this time and headed to
- 31:19Speaker 1: the soccer field.
- 31:20Speaker 2: None of that seems suspicious as fuck to him, like
- 31:24Speaker 2: a gonna do. Your friend's wearing a bella clava after
- 31:28Speaker 2: school hours, sweating, walking backwards or making eye contact with you,
- 31:33Speaker 2: say oh, don't worry, I just lost something. Go back
- 31:36Speaker 2: to the soccer field and you're like, oh, I'll help
- 31:37Speaker 2: you find it. No, it's nothing, I got it.
- 31:40Speaker 1: Yeah, But what would you do. What would you do?
- 31:42Speaker 2: I don't know, tell a fucking teacher.
- 31:47Speaker 1: I guess, I mean, I guess that's one thing you
- 31:52Speaker 1: could do.
- 31:52Speaker 2: Someone's acting real suspicious in the hallway, wearing a Bella Clova,
- 31:55Speaker 2: sweating and trying.
- 31:57Speaker 1: And grabbing a recycling bit like I don't know, cause yeah,
- 32:00Speaker 1: he grabs his fucking recycling bin and goes into the
- 32:03Speaker 1: elevator to like bring it upstairs.
- 32:06Speaker 2: So he's gonna he's gonna go dismember her and shove
- 32:08Speaker 2: her in a garbage can and wheel her out.
- 32:10Speaker 1: Hey, I don't think he needed to dismember, No, he doesn't.
- 32:12Speaker 1: Just she just fits in there. Oh really okay, Like
- 32:15Speaker 1: it's like our garbage bin outside. I think a body
- 32:17Speaker 1: would fit in there, Not that I've ever thought about that,
- 32:20Speaker 1: it would.
- 32:21Speaker 2: Wow. If you guys ever, just I'm gone, I'm missing
- 32:26Speaker 2: one day. Please check our garbage can.
- 32:30Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, I don't even know if you can
- 32:31Speaker 1: get away with that. Well, anyway, he was in the
- 32:34Speaker 1: bathroom for or where am I here? Okay, there am
- 32:40Speaker 1: So He's in the bathroom for several minutes before rolling
- 32:42Speaker 1: the bin outside of the of the bathroom into the
- 32:45Speaker 1: elevator and out of the school, appearing calm and undisturbed.
- 32:49Speaker 1: At this point, he was seen by many people rolling
- 32:53Speaker 1: this bin wear is mel Haveva outside the school and
- 32:58Speaker 1: attempting to take it up a rocky steep incline into
- 33:01Speaker 1: the woods behind the school. Like a lot of people
- 33:06Speaker 1: saw him doing this. But I think, I don't know,
- 33:10Speaker 1: I don't know. Kids are kind of weird, right, so
- 33:12Speaker 1: maybe you're just like, I don't know, I.
- 33:15Speaker 2: Can understand, like, Okay, people are seeing it, and it's
- 33:19Speaker 2: like they're gonna think nothing of it. But they're gonna
- 33:22Speaker 2: think something of it when a body's found a couple
- 33:24Speaker 2: days later.
- 33:24Speaker 1: Oh yeah, then they're gonna definitely be like, okay, yeah
- 33:27Speaker 1: that was actually really fucked up.
- 33:29Speaker 2: Yeah, so you don't want people seeing that ship because
- 33:32Speaker 2: they're going to connect the dots, like, my man, what
- 33:35Speaker 2: are you doing?
- 33:36Speaker 1: Because so he couldn't get it up the hill, Like
- 33:38Speaker 1: I mean, like her body's in there, like it weighs
- 33:40Speaker 1: a lot. It's weighs more like she's not like it
- 33:43Speaker 1: doesn't weighs a lot, but like it it's.
- 33:47Speaker 2: A full grown adult and a child is trying to
- 33:49Speaker 2: move this up a hill through rocks.
- 33:52Speaker 1: Is that what you're trying to say basically, oh yeah.
- 33:53Speaker 1: So then he ends up taking it to like another
- 33:55Speaker 1: section of the woods, so like yeah, people are like
- 33:57Speaker 1: that is just like I don't know what I I
- 34:01Speaker 1: just let that go. But then like what then you're
- 34:04Speaker 1: think you're a crazy person, Like you're gonna call this school,
- 34:06Speaker 1: like I just saw this this kid, Like I.
- 34:08Speaker 2: Don't know, I would think it's probably just some kids
- 34:10Speaker 2: stealing a bin.
- 34:11Speaker 1: Yeah, there you go.
- 34:13Speaker 2: But then it's like, Okay, a body's found. Well actually
- 34:16Speaker 2: it's a kid.
- 34:17Speaker 1: But then then you'd probably be like kind of like shit,
- 34:19Speaker 1: I should have said something anyway.
- 34:21Speaker 2: Anyway, then you say something.
- 34:22Speaker 1: Yeah at that point, but it's too late. So he
- 34:25Speaker 1: was in the woods for twenty five minutes. And here's
- 34:28Speaker 1: where I'll start to share what kind of went down,
- 34:32Speaker 1: because I made you steal on it long enough. Okay,
- 34:36Speaker 1: So from the autopsy performed, so yes, Colling does die,
- 34:41Speaker 1: and the forensic evidence and crime scene photographs, here's what happened.
- 34:45Speaker 2: Can I can I ask a quick question?
- 34:46Speaker 1: Of course?
- 34:47Speaker 2: How is she found? How is your body found?
- 34:49Speaker 1: Oh we'll get there, man, Oh okay, we'll get there. Okay,
- 34:52Speaker 1: you don't get to know that yet well, sorry, just
- 34:54Speaker 1: calm yourself.
- 34:56Speaker 2: I'm calm, I'm calm.
- 34:58Speaker 1: Okay. So Philip, he's an athlete and physically larger actually
- 35:03Speaker 1: than Colleen. Colleen I think was like five six or something,
- 35:06Speaker 1: but like at fourteen, like this dude, I guess he
- 35:08Speaker 1: had grown and he was like tall.
- 35:10Speaker 2: I was just expecting some little shrimp like an adult.
- 35:13Speaker 1: Okay, now he was tall, so he quickly overwhelmed her
- 35:17Speaker 1: in the bathroom. The autopsy revealed pinpoint hemorrhaging on Colleen's
- 35:23Speaker 1: face okay, and around her eyes and mouth, showing that
- 35:28Speaker 1: Philip had initially strangled Colleen while presumably raping her, as
- 35:34Speaker 1: his sperm cells were found inside her body. Philip also
- 35:39Speaker 1: repeatedly stabbed and sliced Colleen's necks neck with the box
- 35:44Speaker 1: cutter he had. And when I say like stabbed and sliced,
- 35:49Speaker 1: like he went to town, which is unfortunate.
- 35:52Speaker 2: Like multiple times and deep or like one like over.
- 35:57Speaker 1: Repeatedly over areas and stuff. It was also so it
- 36:02Speaker 1: was impossible to determine definitively how many times Philip applied
- 36:06Speaker 1: the box cutter blade to her neck because portions of
- 36:09Speaker 1: the neck were penetrated or slashed again and again and
- 36:12Speaker 1: again and again in so many overlapping locations basically, but
- 36:19Speaker 1: there were sixteen distinct neck wounds, many of them would
- 36:23Speaker 1: have caused death. So I'm like, no medical expert. I
- 36:26Speaker 1: feel like it'd be helpful being a medical excerpt, but
- 36:29Speaker 1: I'm not, so I don't know a lot about like
- 36:31Speaker 1: the different areas of the neck. But he cut through
- 36:34Speaker 1: colleens cart how do you say that one carartid artery
- 36:40Speaker 1: carotid carartid artery? So am I saying that right now?
- 36:43Speaker 2: Carotid arate?
- 36:47Speaker 1: Oh man, we should be making light of this. Her
- 36:49Speaker 1: trache yet and nicked her vertebrae, So like some serious
- 36:54Speaker 1: force would have had to been like used because it's
- 36:57Speaker 1: not like he was just cutting through like skin and muscle,
- 36:59Speaker 1: like he was gotten through shit, and like the blood
- 37:01Speaker 1: right for cutting through the artery would be like intensive, I imagine.
- 37:05Speaker 2: Definitely well, and like your artery connects directly to your
- 37:09Speaker 2: heart and so when your heart pumps, yeah, you get
- 37:13Speaker 2: a pump of blood through your artery, so it's.
- 37:15Speaker 1: Like, yeah, I was gonna I was gonna say this later,
- 37:19Speaker 1: but I'll just say it now. So like I don't
- 37:21Speaker 1: because there there's a gray area if she was like
- 37:25Speaker 1: dead before she got into taken to the woods. Okay,
- 37:29Speaker 1: but like for that that student to have come in
- 37:32Speaker 1: and not have like seen much blood or like for Philip,
- 37:36Speaker 1: he had left the bathroom and on camera like only
- 37:38Speaker 1: had a little bit of blood on his hand. It
- 37:41Speaker 1: almost makes you seem like she was only really strangled
- 37:43Speaker 1: in there.
- 37:44Speaker 2: Maybe you know, maybe a bit of.
- 37:46Speaker 1: Cutting, but not a lot, I don't think, and she
- 37:48Speaker 1: could have still been alive.
- 37:50Speaker 2: Well do you go into the crime scene at all?
- 37:52Speaker 2: How much blood was in the bathroom?
- 37:53Speaker 1: There's not really ever said like anywhere where there's a
- 37:57Speaker 1: shit ton of blood really, yeah.
- 38:00Speaker 2: Because like that's gonna.
- 38:00Speaker 1: Be a lot of work, like a lot and like
- 38:03Speaker 1: Philip never had very much time to clean anything up.
- 38:06Speaker 1: But then and there was one report, like there's different
- 38:10Speaker 1: there's always like different reports, right, And there was one
- 38:14Speaker 1: where it did say the janitor he there was miscommunication
- 38:18Speaker 1: because he was foreign or something. He ended up cleaning
- 38:21Speaker 1: up the crime scene. But I'm like, dude, if this
- 38:24Speaker 1: janitor goes into the into a bathroom that's there's blood everywhere,
- 38:29Speaker 1: Like I don't think he's going to just clean it up.
- 38:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't think he's gonna be like, yeah, okay,
- 38:33Speaker 2: like I'm going to clean the ship.
- 38:34Speaker 1: Yeah, Like I I just don't think that he would,
- 38:37Speaker 1: like even if there was like a miscommunication, I just don't.
- 38:41Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 38:42Speaker 2: I can see if it's like maybe oh, there's a
- 38:43Speaker 2: little bit of blood student had a nose bleed and
- 38:46Speaker 2: he mops that up or something, but like if there's
- 38:48Speaker 2: arterial spray in puddles, no.
- 38:51Speaker 1: Yeah, but I mean Philip could have had some time
- 38:53Speaker 1: to clean it up. But so yeah, I don't think.
- 38:56Speaker 1: I don't think it all was in the bathroom. It's
- 39:01Speaker 1: just my opinion, my guess.
- 39:03Speaker 2: Because I'm going to say that she was strangled enough
- 39:05Speaker 2: that she was unconscious, relocated to the woods, and then
- 39:09Speaker 2: she was out there, discovered, he discovered she was still alive,
- 39:12Speaker 2: cut her throat out there, and I'm assuming that she
- 39:15Speaker 2: was left for at least long enough for blood to
- 39:18Speaker 2: soak in the ground, rain to wash it away, maybe
- 39:21Speaker 2: animals to get to it.
- 39:22Speaker 1: Yeah, so I guess technically you may not even find
- 39:26Speaker 1: a lot of blood out there something.
- 39:28Speaker 2: So again, as a hunter, it doesn't take much for
- 39:31Speaker 2: blood to soak in the ground and for rain to
- 39:34Speaker 2: wash blood away.
- 39:35Speaker 1: But then say, if he killed her like by strangulation, yeah,
- 39:40Speaker 1: and then did all this cutting in the woods, but
- 39:44Speaker 1: she was already dead, would it bleed much? It would Yeah,
- 39:47Speaker 1: it's still would bleed, Yeah, you would.
- 39:49Speaker 2: You'd have some coagulation in the blood. There would be
- 39:52Speaker 2: some lumps and chunkiness basically, but yeah, there there would
- 39:55Speaker 2: be liquid blood for quite something, yeah something.
- 39:58Speaker 1: So I think like if he really was cutting her
- 40:01Speaker 1: neck a lot in those areas in the bathroom, like
- 40:05Speaker 1: you would have known about it. Like, I don't think
- 40:06Speaker 1: you would have gotten that cleaned up. Were so anyway, anyway,
- 40:10Speaker 1: let's just carry on with the story.
- 40:11Speaker 2: We're really getting technical.
- 40:13Speaker 1: Yeah, so Colleen ultimately died of sharp force injuries to
- 40:17Speaker 1: the neck and strangulation. The two causes of death were
- 40:21Speaker 1: basically determined because the sharp force injuries and this the
- 40:26Speaker 1: like afphixiation were each lethal, and there was no way
- 40:30Speaker 1: to precisely like sequence.
- 40:32Speaker 2: The events, Yeah, which one occurred first or anything.
- 40:35Speaker 1: However, it was said that one could draw the conclusion
- 40:38Speaker 1: that strangulation was inflicted first because the difficulty one may
- 40:43Speaker 1: have strangling a neck that was in the condition of colleens.
- 40:47Speaker 1: So I'm like, oh, that's a visual one and a half,
- 40:50Speaker 1: thank you, no kidding. And here is where I was
- 40:54Speaker 1: going to say, It's unclear if Calling would have still
- 40:56Speaker 1: been alive when she was put into the recycling bin.
- 41:01Speaker 1: So this is where oh my goodness, Okay, So Philip
- 41:05Speaker 1: has brought her into the woods and positioned Collin's body
- 41:10Speaker 1: on the ground, on her back in the frame of
- 41:13Speaker 1: a fallen section of fence. He had her purple shirt
- 41:18Speaker 1: an undershirt pushed up and her broad down so her
- 41:21Speaker 1: breasts were exposed. She was also like had no pants on, right,
- 41:26Speaker 1: and her legs were spread open, and he had a
- 41:31Speaker 1: stick a twig inside her. So he also, this motherfucker
- 41:36Speaker 1: raped her with an inanimate object.
- 41:39Speaker 2: Fuck fucking Fillip, Like.
- 41:42Speaker 1: Isn't that Like he's fourteen, Like that's just disgusting discuss anyone,
- 41:47Speaker 1: for anyone, let alone a child. But it's just like,
- 41:50Speaker 1: I just think back to what was I doing when
- 41:51Speaker 1: I was fourteen, and I like, I just don't think
- 41:54Speaker 1: I could even have imagined something like that.
- 41:56Speaker 2: I was scooting around on my skateboard, playing Pokemon on
- 41:59Speaker 2: my game Boy, Like that's what I was doing at fourtune.
- 42:02Speaker 1: Oh my word, Okay, So the recyclingment was discarded, along
- 42:07Speaker 1: with his black backpack, to white gloves, to black socks,
- 42:11Speaker 1: and a fold of note reading I hate you all.
- 42:15Speaker 1: It's believed Philip inflicted some of the injuries to colling
- 42:21Speaker 1: neck in the bathroom, given how many wounds there is,
- 42:24Speaker 1: but the depth of them, some of them were done outside.
- 42:29Speaker 1: So sorry, I actually think we already kind of talked
- 42:31Speaker 1: about this. I sort of skipped ahead here.
- 42:33Speaker 2: Well, I mean he did, like go ahead and rape
- 42:36Speaker 2: her with.
- 42:36Speaker 1: A stick, so he were in there twenty five.
- 42:39Speaker 2: Minutes, but I mean like in the woods. Oh sorry, yeah,
- 42:42Speaker 2: twenty five minutes in the woods. So if he's going
- 42:44Speaker 2: to go ahead and position her, spend the time to
- 42:47Speaker 2: do that and do ridiculously gross things with inanimate objects,
- 42:52Speaker 2: I'm sure he went to town with a knife again too, probably,
- 42:56Speaker 2: Like it's.
- 42:56Speaker 1: Just so disrespectful, Like, I mean, it's just disgusting.
- 43:00Speaker 2: It's horrifically disgusting.
- 43:01Speaker 1: So before leaving Colleen's body, like, yeah, he's gross.
- 43:05Speaker 2: He's not even recycled being worthy, he's trash worthy.
- 43:09Speaker 1: Yeah, Like it's it's gross. It's just gross. So he
- 43:13Speaker 1: then covered her body up with like leaves and forest
- 43:17Speaker 1: debris and left her there. So when he emerged from
- 43:21Speaker 1: the woods, he was barefoot with the front of his
- 43:23Speaker 1: jeans soaked with blood. So that's why I think a
- 43:27Speaker 1: lot more shit happened in there. He returned to school,
- 43:30Speaker 1: collected some additional belongings from his locker, changed out of
- 43:33Speaker 1: his bloody pants into shorts, and briefly re entered the
- 43:36Speaker 1: second girls the second floor girls bathroom, or like the
- 43:40Speaker 1: crime scene happened. He then exited the school and re
- 43:44Speaker 1: entered the woods for an additional twelve minutes. Fucker in
- 43:49Speaker 1: and out, I know. Oh, he's even more so. So
- 43:52Speaker 1: then he returns to the school once again, travels around
- 43:56Speaker 1: various places on the scroll grounds, and then runs into
- 43:59Speaker 1: like another friend named Kevin, who he knew from church activities.
- 44:05Speaker 1: Kevin said they had a normal conversation and Philip seemed
- 44:07Speaker 1: his normal self, which is like, seriously, he just like
- 44:10Speaker 1: killed his fucking teacher. Apparently Kevin had texted Philip earlier,
- 44:15Speaker 1: but Philip didn't answer, and he just said it was
- 44:17Speaker 1: because he ran out of minutes, not because he just
- 44:20Speaker 1: murdered his fucking teacher. Philip had a snack and left
- 44:24Speaker 1: the school grounds around five four thirty five.
- 44:27Speaker 2: So is he just chilling, just hanging around just because
- 44:30Speaker 2: just like.
- 44:30Speaker 1: Constantly wandering all over the place, like he was just.
- 44:32Speaker 2: All over the fucking So he wasn't doing anything particular,
- 44:35Speaker 2: he was just wandering chilling.
- 44:37Speaker 1: Well, like I'm sure he had a mission. Like he
- 44:40Speaker 1: like he went back to the bathroom, He went to
- 44:42Speaker 1: his locker, he changed, He went back to his friend,
- 44:45Speaker 1: he had a snack.
- 44:46Speaker 2: Like, yeah, he went to the locker to get his
- 44:47Speaker 2: fucking fruit roll up and walk around.
- 44:49Speaker 1: And change his fucking soaked ass jeans. Jeez, later, kid, Oh,
- 44:56Speaker 1: he's making you angry.
- 44:57Speaker 2: He made me really angry.
- 44:59Speaker 1: Later that evening, when he didn't return home, Philip's mum
- 45:02Speaker 1: reported him missing. She was in touch with his soccer coach,
- 45:06Speaker 1: who said he didn't show up to practice, so a
- 45:08Speaker 1: search began for him. Colleen's parents were also worried at
- 45:12Speaker 1: this time because Colleen was like a real creature of
- 45:15Speaker 1: habit and would arrive home pretty much every day at
- 45:18Speaker 1: relatively the same time around three point thirty. She would
- 45:21Speaker 1: always go find her mom, who worked from home, and like,
- 45:24Speaker 1: ask her mom how her day went, and tell her
- 45:26Speaker 1: how her day went. And I was just like, oh,
- 45:28Speaker 1: my heart, that's so kind. Then she'd sit on the
- 45:31Speaker 1: coach and plan her lesson for the next day, and
- 45:33Speaker 1: then the dinner, and then the family would have dinner together.
- 45:37Speaker 1: So Colleen's family headed to the school. You know she
- 45:41Speaker 1: wasn't home, saw that her car was there, still parked
- 45:44Speaker 1: in the parking lot, and her sweater was in her
- 45:46Speaker 1: classroom chair, but nothing else of hers was there. And
- 45:50Speaker 1: her disappearing like this, like without giving them a phone
- 45:53Speaker 1: call or something, was just not like we can already
- 45:55Speaker 1: tell it's it's not on her character.
- 45:56Speaker 2: Yeah, right, not like her.
- 45:58Speaker 1: So they had two people missing for ten you're a
- 46:00Speaker 1: boy and a twenty four year old teacher, and investigator's
- 46:03Speaker 1: minds are probably just like, what the fuck happened here?
- 46:06Speaker 3: Right?
- 46:06Speaker 4: M hm?
- 46:08Speaker 1: So meanwhile, Philip was at the movies. Oh.
- 46:13Speaker 2: One of the biggest things about this is how little
- 46:17Speaker 2: of fucks this I know, fucking TOWRP gives.
- 46:20Speaker 1: It doesn't seem like he gives two fucks.
- 46:22Speaker 2: No, he's in an out of it's just way wandering,
- 46:25Speaker 2: eating a fucking I don't know, oreos, fruit roll up,
- 46:28Speaker 2: whatever the fuck, and he's going to the theater.
- 46:29Speaker 1: You ready for this?
- 46:30Speaker 2: Oh my god.
- 46:31Speaker 1: What So in addition to stealing colleens underwear, he also
- 46:35Speaker 1: stole her iPhone and wallet, and he used her credit
- 46:39Speaker 1: card to buy himself Wendy's.
- 46:41Speaker 2: Of course he fucking did. And that movie ticket, of
- 46:44Speaker 2: course he fucking it. What's the point of even trying
- 46:47Speaker 2: to hide the crime if you're gonna do that?
- 46:48Speaker 1: I know, I know, but I mean, like he's also
- 46:52Speaker 1: like fourteen, I don't know. Then maybe in his brain
- 46:56Speaker 1: he thinks this is that he's doing a good job.
- 46:59Speaker 1: So the investigators, upon their search of the school, did
- 47:03Speaker 1: not or they did find an alarmingly clean bathroom. There
- 47:07Speaker 1: was one very faint, missed, bloody handprint, though, and this
- 47:12Speaker 1: led them to watch the video recording of the hallways,
- 47:16Speaker 1: and this is when they got like a better picture
- 47:19Speaker 1: of the fucking shit show. Yeah, for like example, Colling
- 47:25Speaker 1: went to the bathroom but never came out, and she
- 47:27Speaker 1: wasn't in there, and like a bin, a recycling bin,
- 47:30Speaker 1: came out of there.
- 47:30Speaker 2: Yeah, that kind of shit. And then anyone see a
- 47:33Speaker 2: kid with a bella clava wheeling a recycling bin around? Oh,
- 47:36Speaker 2: you mean the one that fucking millions of people saw
- 47:38Speaker 2: going to the backwoods over there.
- 47:40Speaker 1: Oh yeah, my gosh, it's just it just like makes
- 47:42Speaker 1: your stomach up. So now emong eating Wendy's and being
- 47:47Speaker 1: at the movies. Philip was captured like on numerous cameras
- 47:51Speaker 1: basically around town and other businesses including shoplift, shoplift a
- 47:56Speaker 1: hunting knife. So he's not he's just not a good kid.
- 48:00Speaker 1: And like, I didn't even put this in there, but
- 48:01Speaker 1: like there was apparently like no warning signs of this.
- 48:06Speaker 2: That's crazy.
- 48:06Speaker 1: That's weird, you know, And so that seems weird. I mean,
- 48:10Speaker 1: I don't know, maybe maybe just turning a blind eye,
- 48:12Speaker 1: but like, this kid's a bad motherfucker.
- 48:14Speaker 2: I think clearly there's something that snapped in him. Like
- 48:18Speaker 2: he left the note I hate you all, leaving a note.
- 48:21Speaker 2: He knows he's gonna get caught. He knows he's gonna
- 48:23Speaker 2: get fast. Yeah, so maybe he's just like, fuck it,
- 48:27Speaker 2: I'm just gonna do what I want. I want this knife,
- 48:28Speaker 2: I'm gonna take it. I'm gonna take this cart, go
- 48:30Speaker 2: get Wendy's and movies. I'm gonna get caught. I'm just
- 48:32Speaker 2: gonna live my fucking best life until it happens.
- 48:35Speaker 1: Until Yeah, he was eventually found by some police officers
- 48:39Speaker 1: around midnight. He was walking along a tree line in
- 48:43Speaker 1: a very narrow area of Route one, which I'm assuming
- 48:46Speaker 1: is like a highway and it's generally an unsafe spot
- 48:50Speaker 1: for pedestrians to be walking. So the police officers stopped,
- 48:54Speaker 1: but didn't realize who they were stopping to chat with.
- 48:56Speaker 1: They were just like thinking, oh my god, like, this
- 48:58Speaker 1: person needs to get the fuck up here, it's not safe.
- 49:02Speaker 1: Philip wouldn't make eye contact with the officers. They asked
- 49:05Speaker 1: him where are we going to, which he responded nowhere,
- 49:08Speaker 1: and where he was coming from, which he replied Tennessee,
- 49:12Speaker 1: which is kind of interesting. He did not have any
- 49:15Speaker 1: identification on him and wouldn't give them his home address.
- 49:19Speaker 1: They then patted him down, which revealed a rock in
- 49:22Speaker 1: one of his pockets, and then the other cards belonged
- 49:25Speaker 1: to Colleen, like her driver's license and credit card, but
- 49:29Speaker 1: the name unfortunately didn't mean anything. These were top tops
- 49:34Speaker 1: Field officers, which is like a neighboring town, so I
- 49:37Speaker 1: don't know if they were just like out of their
- 49:39Speaker 1: jurisdiction or if if Philip had like wandered quite far
- 49:43Speaker 1: or what right.
- 49:44Speaker 2: Well, either way, it may not have been communicated to
- 49:47Speaker 2: the neighboring exactly. Yeah.
- 49:49Speaker 1: So they asked him how he obtained the cards, and
- 49:52Speaker 1: he said he got them at the stop and shop,
- 49:55Speaker 1: which I'm assuming is a convenience store, which makes like
- 49:58Speaker 1: so much sense that you could get that there. Since
- 50:01Speaker 1: that made okay, my next line, since that made no sense,
- 50:07Speaker 1: they asked him again and he said from his car
- 50:10Speaker 1: or from her car, just from her car. So he's
- 50:13Speaker 1: really like not being freaking healthful at all to these people, which.
- 50:16Speaker 2: I mean is kind of playing in his own favor.
- 50:18Speaker 2: The less you talk, the better.
- 50:20Speaker 1: Oh yeah, absolutely, And it's interesting because he kind of
- 50:26Speaker 1: seemed like he acted that way in Colleen's class, lightly
- 50:29Speaker 1: too right when she was asking him questions, he kind
- 50:32Speaker 1: of mumbles, So it almost makes you think he has
- 50:34Speaker 1: issues with authority, is my personal That's very possible. That's
- 50:38Speaker 1: kind of like when I was reading, hmm, this guy
- 50:40Speaker 1: has issues with authority. They also asked what was in
- 50:44Speaker 1: his back pop in his back his backpack, and he
- 50:48Speaker 1: said survival gear. Philip did eventually give the officers his name,
- 50:53Speaker 1: and this is when they realized they were dealing with
- 50:56Speaker 1: the missile boy and they had recovered the missing teenager.
- 51:00Speaker 1: They're like, whoo wait, So they put him in like
- 51:03Speaker 1: unrestrained in their cruiser and to keep them warm. Confirmed
- 51:08Speaker 1: with dispatch that they had the missing teen and transported
- 51:11Speaker 1: him to the Topsfield police station. Once at the police station,
- 51:16Speaker 1: they asked Philip if there was anything dangerous inside his
- 51:19Speaker 1: backpack and he answered yes. So they opened the bag
- 51:24Speaker 1: to discover receipts from Wendy's and the movie theater. There
- 51:27Speaker 1: was also a shirt, two rolls of tape, water bottles,
- 51:32Speaker 1: a white towel, a flashlight, kind of foot powder spray,
- 51:36Speaker 1: and the hunting knife he had stole earlier in the night.
- 51:39Speaker 1: Also in the bag were some of Colleen's belongings, keys,
- 51:43Speaker 1: a wallet, her like makeup bag thing and her underwear
- 51:50Speaker 1: and the box cutter. Oh go ahead, sorry, putting my
- 51:54Speaker 1: hand up.
- 51:56Speaker 2: This kid's running away, is what he's doing. He's walking
- 52:00Speaker 2: along a highway. Was survival gear. That's why he stole
- 52:02Speaker 2: the knife, because he's running away. He's just going to
- 52:04Speaker 2: go sleep in the bush and just run away.
- 52:06Speaker 1: And oh you think.
- 52:08Speaker 2: He has survival gear. He's not going home. He's running away.
- 52:13Speaker 2: He went and killed something.
- 52:14Speaker 1: That actually makes sense. Nowhere ever, did anyone come up
- 52:17Speaker 1: with anything like that. But that makes so much sense.
- 52:20Speaker 1: That's exactly what he Why is he walking along the
- 52:22Speaker 1: highway and shit.
- 52:23Speaker 2: Yeah, he had no intention of going home. He's just
- 52:26Speaker 2: booking her wo and the police caught him on the way.
- 52:29Speaker 1: Shit, that makes sense.
- 52:31Speaker 2: I'm smart detectives.
- 52:35Speaker 1: So the blade of the box cutter was still protruding
- 52:38Speaker 1: and it was covered in blood. They of course asked
- 52:42Speaker 1: who the fuck is this like blood on there? Right,
- 52:44Speaker 1: maybe not that exact wording, and he said it's the girls.
- 52:49Speaker 1: He was then read his rights as they were starting
- 52:51Speaker 1: to get the full picture of what happened here. The
- 52:54Speaker 1: officer then asked whether he knew where the girl was,
- 52:58Speaker 1: and he said she was buried in the woods, to
- 53:00Speaker 1: which they're like, holy shit, and asked if they could
- 53:04Speaker 1: potentially help her if they got to her, and he
- 53:07Speaker 1: said no.
- 53:09Speaker 2: Fuck.
- 53:10Speaker 1: His sweatshirt and sneakers, which had bought on them were
- 53:13Speaker 1: taken from him and he was transported to the Danvers
- 53:16Speaker 1: police station and ultimately arrested for Colleens murder. Meanwhile, there
- 53:22Speaker 1: was a search happening for Colleen. Many of Colleen's colleagues
- 53:26Speaker 1: and friends were part of the search and the canine
- 53:29Speaker 1: unit was also called in. So at about three am,
- 53:32Speaker 1: Colleen's body was found in the woods. When ache with
- 53:36Speaker 1: pink nail polish was spotted out from the leaves, a
- 53:41Speaker 1: paramedic was called into the woods. He uncovered Colleen's head
- 53:45Speaker 1: and torso she had dartened debris in her eyes and airway.
- 53:49Speaker 1: He checked her heartbeat, but of course it was not
- 53:51Speaker 1: beating and she was pronounced dead. So Philip was put
- 53:56Speaker 1: on trial. There were many evaluations to see if Philip
- 53:59Speaker 1: was of sound mind basically when committing this like gruesome
- 54:03Speaker 1: act okay, and so his lawyers definitely argued that he
- 54:07Speaker 1: was mentally ill at the time, but the jury ultimately
- 54:11Speaker 1: rejected this and Philip was sentenced good. So he was
- 54:15Speaker 1: sentenced to life in prison with parole eligibility after twenty
- 54:20Speaker 1: five years for the murder of Colleen. But then he
- 54:23Speaker 1: was also sentenced to life in prison with parole eligibility
- 54:27Speaker 1: after twenty years for raping Colleen, and this was to
- 54:30Speaker 1: be served after the sentence for her murder.
- 54:33Speaker 2: So he's was he tried as an adult.
- 54:35Speaker 1: Then, See, that was one thing that was confusing to
- 54:38Speaker 1: me and I couldn't get the exact answer, because I
- 54:43Speaker 1: think what happened is some he was tried, some he wasn't,
- 54:48Speaker 1: and then like he was in state, he did go
- 54:50Speaker 1: into juvenile jail ye until a certain age or something,
- 54:56Speaker 1: and then I think he was transferred to like adult jail.
- 54:59Speaker 2: Okay, adult jail and not what we're in now just
- 55:03Speaker 2: regular life is adult jails like that.
- 55:07Speaker 1: He was also sentenced for the armed robbery of like
- 55:12Speaker 1: Colleen's belongings, I guess, okay, but that was to be
- 55:17Speaker 1: served at the same time as the above, So his
- 55:20Speaker 1: original sentenced to a minimum fifty years. See, a lot
- 55:23Speaker 1: of it was fuzzy, but every report that I found
- 55:27Speaker 1: after that was saying that he was eligible for parole
- 55:31Speaker 1: forty years. But I was like, ah, it's fifty, but
- 55:33Speaker 1: I think the defense attorney asked for it to be forty,
- 55:39Speaker 1: citing scientific studies that said a juvenile brain is not
- 55:43Speaker 1: fully developed blah blah blah. So I think that he
- 55:46Speaker 1: got it like she got it down to forty years.
- 55:49Speaker 1: So he'll basically be out eligible for parole in his fifties.
- 55:55Speaker 1: So one more thing to mention, because I'm like, Okay,
- 55:57Speaker 1: this is like his first defense, you.
- 56:00Speaker 2: Know, well, there's there's clearly something in his head that
- 56:03Speaker 2: that went, which is not cool. It's not cool for
- 56:06Speaker 2: the result of I mean, colleagees.
- 56:08Speaker 1: And I think he had a lot of rage too,
- 56:09Speaker 1: potentially his parents like divorce maybe and like having to
- 56:12Speaker 1: make all these new friends and stuff.
- 56:14Speaker 2: Definitely, so there's something snapped. Yeah, whether it's something snapped
- 56:20Speaker 2: that I don't know is controllable or not, that's who
- 56:24Speaker 2: knows if it is. I mean, I hope he gets
- 56:27Speaker 2: the help that he needs, clearly, because.
- 56:29Speaker 1: There was also like reports and stuff saying that like
- 56:32Speaker 1: he had heard voices, but I didn't know if I
- 56:35Speaker 1: really like believed that. Like I think they're just literally
- 56:37Speaker 1: evaluating him for everything, and which probably a good thing
- 56:41Speaker 1: that his maybe the defense his lawyers were doing that
- 56:44Speaker 1: because probably better to maybe go to like the mental
- 56:47Speaker 1: facility hospital or whatever than jail.
- 56:50Speaker 2: The thing though, like if you hear voices or if
- 56:54Speaker 2: there's any mental issues, generally there's some odd behavior that happens.
- 57:00Speaker 1: And remorse too afterwards.
- 57:03Speaker 2: Yeah, like because you're disconnected, Like I didn't do that,
- 57:06Speaker 2: Like what I don't remember that.
- 57:07Speaker 1: Yeah, He's just it seemed like he was ever.
- 57:10Speaker 2: Yeah, he's like I hate you all. I'm living my
- 57:11Speaker 2: best life and now running away.
- 57:13Speaker 1: Yeah, and this is this is something else that I
- 57:16Speaker 1: wanted to bring up too, so to like really solidify
- 57:19Speaker 1: how bad news this Philip dude is. So while he
- 57:22Speaker 1: was awaiting trial, so like the next year, like he
- 57:26Speaker 1: did all the shit to Colleen in twenty thirteen, this
- 57:28Speaker 1: is twenty fourteen, he committed a very similar act attack
- 57:33Speaker 1: to a twenty nine year old female staff member in
- 57:36Speaker 1: the youth facility he was staying in. Really, he apparently
- 57:39Speaker 1: made sure he wasn't being watched by anyone, as he
- 57:42Speaker 1: kind of did with Colleen. He removed his shoes so
- 57:45Speaker 1: that his steps wouldn't make noise, and as this female
- 57:48Speaker 1: walked into a locker room, Philip grabbed her and slammed
- 57:52Speaker 1: her against the wall. He was choking her, punching her,
- 57:55Speaker 1: stabbing her numerous times with a pencil until thankfully, like
- 58:00Speaker 1: all the commotion was heard by another staff member who
- 58:02Speaker 1: rushed in and saved the woman.
- 58:04Speaker 2: Holy fuck.
- 58:05Speaker 1: Yeah, So like the next year he basically like did
- 58:09Speaker 1: like the same fucking thing. Yeah, so he did get
- 58:13Speaker 1: tried for this. I couldn't find how much longer whatever
- 58:16Speaker 1: was added to his sentence, but so like right there,
- 58:20Speaker 1: I'm like, oh my god, like he did it again,
- 58:23Speaker 1: Like you did it again? Yeah, like what the fuck?
- 58:27Speaker 2: So wow. See, when it comes to stuff like this,
- 58:31Speaker 2: like I've gotten flack in comments before from people being like, oh,
- 58:36Speaker 2: like you shouldn't like wish ill on the victims and stuff,
- 58:39Speaker 2: and I totally get that. You're right. I don't wish
- 58:41Speaker 2: ill on anybody. But what I do wish is that
- 58:45Speaker 2: karma is a real thing, and that I do wish
- 58:48Speaker 2: that these people who have done bad things intentionally understand
- 58:53Speaker 2: the things they've done.
- 58:55Speaker 1: Okay, Well, I was actually just thinking about this, and
- 58:57Speaker 1: I don't necessarily think it's like us wishing ill upon people.
- 59:01Speaker 1: It's literally us like wishing that what they did to
- 59:04Speaker 1: people gets done to them. Like and I don't know
- 59:06Speaker 1: if that's necessarily a wrong thing.
- 59:08Speaker 2: Well, yeah, like I don't wish like something Philip murdered someone.
- 59:12Speaker 2: I don't want Philip to get murdered. I don't want
- 59:15Speaker 2: someone to feel pain or lose their life. That's just
- 59:18Speaker 2: not cool. Even if a murderer gets murdered, it's still murder, right.
- 59:23Speaker 2: But I do want the family to have closure, and
- 59:28Speaker 2: I do want there to be justice, and I hope
- 59:30Speaker 2: within that justice that the person who's serving the sentence
- 59:36Speaker 2: learns what it's like what they did.
- 59:38Speaker 1: Yeah, hopefully they end up somehow learning and one way,
- 59:43Speaker 1: not necessarily and even just like a negative way. I
- 59:46Speaker 1: guess like there could be. It could be really they
- 59:49Speaker 1: change as a person or develop as a person. He
- 59:52Speaker 1: has time to develop he is young, or rehabilitation when
- 59:55Speaker 1: he's in his thirties. He realized what the fuck he
- 59:57Speaker 1: did and there is more, yeah, exactly.
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: Or maybe if they're not remorseful, then maybe karma.
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: Turns around on well, or they don't get out of
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: jail when they're in their fifties.
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: Yes, karma has a way of serving itself.
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: So I just people are fucking trash at this point
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: when they do this sort of stuff.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: Like like Colleen was a freaking angel for God's sakes.
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: Philip deserves a fucking rot as far as I'm concerned. Yeah,
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: but I hope he understands what the fuck.
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: He did exactly, Like he took a life of a
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: beautiful person that literally spent her day trying to like
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: really make the world a better place by like changing
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: these young students' lives.
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: And specifically his life better because he stayed after class
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: in this little bubble anything.
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: She made it that place safe for him to be there.
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: So she literally spent her time to make his life
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: better and he turned around and took her life.
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: Yeah, in the most gruesome of ways.
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: So I think Philip deserves rot and I really hope
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: that there's there's some justice and karma behind that.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, it'd be interesting. I mean, we'll be so well,
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: I don't know, will we be so old. Maybe we'll
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: still be around when he gets out of jail, but.
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: I would like to think so.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: So, Yeah, thanks for listening. I will There's always posts
