- 0:08Not Monday, but Tuesday. That's right, friends, we're
- 0:10already into the week. Because yesterday was Memorial
- 0:14Day, of course. We hope you remember the reason
- 0:17that we celebrated that day amidst your barbecues and time
- 0:20off and all that delicious awesomeness that I think you
- 0:24might have enjoyed yesterday. Very weird day, too.
- 0:26Yesterday, by the way, starts off absolutely pouring.
- 0:29I mean absolutely pouring. Would not.
- 0:32Stopping anything wouldn't stop, can't stop, won't stop.
- 0:36And then it stopped. And then immediately it became a
- 0:38pretty nice day. By the end of the day, my family
- 0:41and I were outside. The ran a little, ran a little
- 0:44fire that we made outside, which is kind of fun.
- 0:47And the grass was like kind of dry, you know, I mean, there's a
- 0:51couple spots that were a little bit soggy still, I suppose.
- 0:54But overall, all that morning stuff had kind of gone away by
- 0:58the time you got to the end of the day.
- 1:00So it was a weird day. It's a weird day, but a good
- 1:02day. Do you know what's already out?
- 1:04That I hate mosquitoes. You're getting inundated already
- 1:09inundated. Hasn't even started so there's a
- 1:12flower pot that I had to empty out.
- 1:13That full of water is yourself. One of them Zappers, man.
- 1:17Is it the one? Yeah, there's one that's like a
- 1:21a tennis racket that's a ZAP. No, no, I'm talking about 1.
- 1:24You hang, dude. Those ones, yeah.
- 1:26Yeah, you got to get one of the ones when you hang, when you
- 1:28hang. So what is about your
- 1:29neighborhood where you have mosquitoes?
- 1:31There. Well, it happens to be in Maine.
- 1:35That's OK, yeah. I I, I, I OK other parts of the
- 1:39country, mosquitoes are much more prevalent than I've noticed
- 1:42here in my more than a year and a half.
- 1:44Yeah, but you? Live in the city, right?
- 1:45I mean, where? Where?
- 1:46Where are you? Downtown, yeah.
- 1:48Yeah, that's why, I mean, anybody who isn't, I mean,
- 1:50that's the only place I can think of that doesn't really
- 1:53have a big mosquito problem. And that's only because you
- 1:56don't have anything that's like wetland or, you know, you don't
- 1:58have anything around you that would breed them because you're
- 2:02in a concrete jungle of a city. But you live literally anywhere
- 2:07else. Literally anywhere else.
- 2:10And they're out there, baby. Oh, they're out there of.
- 2:13Course. Josane Westbrook.
- 2:15Yeah. Oh yeah.
- 2:16Yeah, if you live on anything that has grass and trees and
- 2:22maybe a pond somewhere or they're everywhere.
- 2:25They are absolutely everywhere. Of course I live in my house.
- 2:28I have absolutely zero problem using poison to destroy them and
- 2:34keep them away from me. So we spray our house.
- 2:36So I don't really have a mosquito problem.
- 2:37And it works. I mean, it's a quite effective
- 2:40little tool there to keep them away from me, which is good
- 2:42because I actually do have a fair amount of like sort of
- 2:44soggy land. And I have a little pond.
- 2:47I have a little pond in front of my house.
- 2:48So that pond could theoretically and maybe has in the past been a
- 2:53breeding ground for just horrendous attacks.
- 2:57When I lived, when I was growing up, we lived on 26 acres in
- 3:02Hamden, had a big pond and it was a true pond pond.
- 3:06You know, it was, had been like, you know, scummy pond water and
- 3:11all the, you know, it was a pond.
- 3:12And of course, lots of, you know, woods.
- 3:15There was a little there. The Saud Apskuk River went back
- 3:18and threw our backyard. Basically it was it was nature
- 3:21at its finest. And there is nowhere short of
- 3:26malaria infested Africa that has mosquitoes that are higher of a
- 3:29higher count than at that house. Man, I used to have to sleep in
- 3:35a a bed with a net. Like I was living in some in
- 3:38some sub-saharan sub-Saharan Africa in the jungle somewhere
- 3:42legitimately draped, you know, like you'd have a canopy or
- 3:44whatever. You would drape the net down to
- 3:47keep them away from you so you wouldn't get eaten alive in the
- 3:51middle of the night while you're sleeping.
- 3:53This is inside. Yeah, this is my bedroom.
- 3:57And not once did I ever see a tick.
- 4:00Never living in that particular house.
- 4:02Not once ever. And I was in the woods a lot all
- 4:05the time. No ticks 0 here in my house now
- 4:11like we've seen like 4 of them already.
- 4:13They're all over the place. Stupid ticks.
- 4:15My wife noticed something by the way yesterday while we were
- 4:17outside doing stuff. I've had this little sensor
- 4:23light on my truck going off says that I don't know it was I
- 4:28thought it said the backup camera or or one of the sensors
- 4:31maybe the the crash sensor or whatever was not functioning
- 4:34correctly. So I just sort of, you know,
- 4:38pegged it to a little minor malfunction.
- 4:40I was going to go visit the dealer or whatever, but she then
- 4:42looked at my bumper, looked at my back bumper, said I think I
- 4:46know what's wrong with your truck.
- 4:48I said, what, what's what's wrong with the truck?
- 4:49And then she shows me my, my back bumper and it is Askew.
- 4:54It is Askew. There's no like impact damage.
- 4:57There's no scratch. There's no, it doesn't look like
- 5:00it was hit. There's nothing at all that
- 5:02looks like a problem. And yet there's a little
- 5:04separation from the middle part of the bumper to the right side
- 5:08of the bumper, which is connected with some sort of a
- 5:10plastic fastener or whatever. And it's a skew and I'm ready to
- 5:15jump off a Cliff. I I mean I just bought.
- 5:18This thing and you paid also. Yeah, but I don't, I don't think
- 5:21it's the truck's fault. I think something, I don't know,
- 5:24if somebody hit it and it just didn't leave a mark, maybe I
- 5:27don't know. And that sensor started going
- 5:29off. I looked at the places I thought
- 5:31it would be because it said, it said the blind spot monitor,
- 5:34which you know, is in the little side mirrors, there's a little
- 5:37camera there. And I looked and it's not dirty,
- 5:39you know, I kind of buffed it off just to be safe, but it
- 5:41looked fine. And there was another couple
- 5:43places where it could have been. But I looked around the truck, I
- 5:45didn't see anything. And part of the reason I didn't
- 5:48see anything is because there is no kind of damage around
- 5:50anything. And I just didn't look close
- 5:52enough to notice. The bumper was a bit separated,
- 5:56little bit separated. And I'm like, why did that
- 5:58happen? I mean, I literally will park it
- 6:01in places and park it away from everyone else 'cause I'm like,
- 6:05stay away from my truck, man, Don't.
- 6:07I don't. Have my truck, Yeah.
- 6:08Anybody would, yeah. Give them what you might pay.
- 6:11And then it's brand new. Yeah, of course.
- 6:12Yeah. And if they hit it, how did it
- 6:13not scratch or otherwise make a mark?
- 6:17That's the real question. I know I didn't hit anything.
- 6:21I know I didn't know anything. That's for.
- 6:22Sure, or at least you're not admitting into us right now.
- 6:25Certainly would not certainly would not.
- 6:26I'd admit it if I hit something, but I don't even know how you
- 6:29can hit anything with these trucks anymore.
- 6:31You know, these things have, you know, obviously backup cameras,
- 6:34the screen on my on the truck, like in the inside of it.
- 6:38I just picked up my son on Sunday from, you know, he flew
- 6:40in from from Dallas OR actually from Houston.
- 6:43And he's like, Oh my God, you have like a laptop in here and
- 6:46I'm like, yeah, kinda. It's like a 21 inch screen.
- 6:49It's huge. So the backup camera, big
- 6:51screen, you don't miss that. And then on that screen does.
- 6:54That break on the next right there, Yeah, right in the right
- 6:57in front of you. Streaming wheel right up there,
- 6:58correct? OK, but even in it also have you
- 7:01ever seen the backup cameras that have the the the angle from
- 7:04above your your car? Yeah.
- 7:07So if you're inserting back to you.
- 7:09So I don't. I still don't even really know
- 7:11how they do it. I guess they just send it.
- 7:13Back at the cab. No, it's not from the.
- 7:15I mean, it's like literally it will show you above your car
- 7:18down so that you can see around as you're parking in a space a
- 7:22little bit. From where?
- 7:25Exactly. And I think the actual answer is
- 7:27they have a bunch of cameras that are like fisheye lenses and
- 7:29they like rewarp it and assemble it so that it looks like it's
- 7:33from yeah, it's showing you everything, but it's, it's
- 7:36showing you everything in a manipulated image to just to
- 7:41make it look like it's above the truck even though it's not.
- 7:43Sounds like early AI.
