- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, guys, here we are at the end of
- 0:02Speaker 1: the week, the end of the day. It's been a
- 0:05Speaker 1: great day. It's been a it's been a great day.
- 0:07Speaker 1: I'll just put it like, well, I was gonna say
- 0:12Speaker 1: it's I'll tell you, nephew. I was gonna say, it's
- 0:14Speaker 1: been a great week. Then I thought about Reverend Jesse Jackson.
- 0:17Speaker 1: Just you know, that's all we lost. Yeah, we lost, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 0:25Speaker 1: but anyway, yeah, rest in peace.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Great great memory of Omega SI five.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Yeah. All right, Junior, you have a question for Steve.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Yeah, can you talk to this to a point about
- 0:40Speaker 2: the importance of having having joy? Man?
- 0:43Speaker 1: And you know, it's a it's between being happy and
- 0:46Speaker 1: having joy.
- 0:48Speaker 2: No, I think the biggest difference, uh, Junior, is the
- 0:52Speaker 2: difference between joy and fun. I think that's the biggest difference.
- 0:58Speaker 2: I'm not so sure. So some might have asked me recently,
- 1:01Speaker 2: hey man, what makes you happy? And that was a
- 1:05Speaker 2: tough question for me to answer because I don't know
- 1:10Speaker 2: that happy is the goal for me. You know, happy,
- 1:18Speaker 2: you know what, to sit there and be happy. I
- 1:21Speaker 2: don't think that's the goal for me because the things
- 1:27Speaker 2: that do make me happy are usually tied to other people.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Is me providing something for other people gives me a
- 1:35Speaker 2: level of happiness. When I see my kids thriving off
- 1:39Speaker 2: something I've provided, my wife enjoyed something I've provided, my
- 1:43Speaker 2: grandkids benefiting from something I've provided, that makes me happy.
- 1:47Speaker 2: It just but it more so makes me feel prideful.
- 1:50Speaker 2: I think it makes me proud of myself, which I
- 1:55Speaker 2: don't get to do a lot of. But I think
- 1:57Speaker 2: the bigger difference is the difference between fun and joy.
- 2:02Speaker 2: See the thing about fun, when you see people all
- 2:06Speaker 2: the time, I just want to have fun. When I
- 2:08Speaker 2: hear people adults say that, I'm a little concerned because
- 2:12Speaker 2: I don't. I mean, I get it if you're that
- 2:15Speaker 2: type of person, I just want to have some fun.
- 2:17Speaker 2: But fun has to be manufactured. And if you're a
- 2:22Speaker 2: person that's always seeking fun, you're gonna be a person
- 2:26Speaker 2: that's gonna always have to be involved in something. You're
- 2:28Speaker 2: gonna have to go out and seek other people. You're
- 2:31Speaker 2: gonna have to go out and participate in certain activities
- 2:34Speaker 2: in order for you to have fun. Fun is manufactored.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Joy is different. Joy resides within a person. Joy is
- 2:51Speaker 2: a lot more fulfilling and rewarding joy is lasting fun.
- 2:56Speaker 2: The moment the activity is over, the fun ceases. The
- 3:00Speaker 2: moona everybody go home your the fund for you stops
- 3:04Speaker 2: when everybody goes away from me. My joy is allowed
- 3:09Speaker 2: to flourish in its fullest form when I'm alone. I'm
- 3:13Speaker 2: having a joy today. When I get off this radio show,
- 3:17Speaker 2: I'm going to do some joyful things. I'm gonna go
- 3:21Speaker 2: sit in my fishing shop. I'm gonna ride on my property.
- 3:25Speaker 2: I'm gonna ride my bike around on my property. I'm
- 3:27Speaker 2: gonna sit in the middle of a field today, and
- 3:31Speaker 2: you know what I'm gonna experience joy. I'm gonna have
- 3:35Speaker 2: an abiding peace within myself that can only be given
- 3:38Speaker 2: to you with a relationship with God. I Am going
- 3:41Speaker 2: to sit in the midst of turmoil and strife and
- 3:45Speaker 2: feel none of it, absolutely none of it, because I've
- 3:52Speaker 2: turned it over to God. I've given him control, and
- 3:55Speaker 2: He has given me an unexplainable amount of peace. And
- 4:01Speaker 2: in that peace resigns my joy. I'm actually cool with me.
- 4:06Speaker 2: See a lot of people who are not cool with themselves.
- 4:09Speaker 2: They have to go have fun because they need other
- 4:11Speaker 2: people and activities to produce a sense of happiness within themselves.
- 4:15Speaker 2: I don't need that anymore. I'm perfectly fine being by myself.
- 4:20Speaker 2: I have found in my relationship with God a measure
- 4:24Speaker 2: of peace.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Man.
- 4:24Speaker 2: That's indescribable. I am telling you right now. I am
- 4:28Speaker 2: in the midst of a huge turmoil and storm that's
- 4:32Speaker 2: brewing in my life, and I feel no effects of it.
- 4:36Speaker 2: I'm perfectly cool with it. You know why, because I
- 4:39Speaker 2: know God got it. I know God gonna take care
- 4:43Speaker 2: of me like he's always done. I know God didn't
- 4:45Speaker 2: bring me this far to leave me. Why Why would
- 4:48Speaker 2: God do that to me? Why would God bring me
- 4:51Speaker 2: this far and then all of a sudden just drop
- 4:53Speaker 2: me off? Why would I have to start over now? No, man,
- 4:58Speaker 2: I'm just going through a period. He gonna fix it.
- 5:02Speaker 2: He working on it now. Man. That's a sense of
- 5:07Speaker 2: peace and joy that I can't explain to people. I
- 5:10Speaker 2: wish everybody could get to that point in their life
- 5:14Speaker 2: and know how to sit somewhere and be en joy
- 5:17Speaker 2: and enjoy yourself. But you gotta like yourself to have
- 5:21Speaker 2: it to experience joy. If you don't like yourself and
- 5:24Speaker 2: know how to be okay with yourself, you ain't gonna
- 5:27Speaker 2: ever be happy because somebody you're gonna count on for
- 5:31Speaker 2: this fun activity gonna let you down, not be available. No,
- 5:36Speaker 2: I can't. Today I changed my mind. I don't want
- 5:40Speaker 2: to go there. Hey, I'm gonna bring so and so.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Oh God, Now, man, the difference you need to learn
- 5:48Speaker 2: how to do is differate differentiate fun and joy. Fun
- 5:54Speaker 2: is an activity. Joy is a residing feeling within yourself,
- 6:01Speaker 2: and you can only get that with a relationship with God. Man.
- 6:04Speaker 2: That's the only way I can suggest you get it.
- 6:08Speaker 2: If there's another way, write a book about it. You'll
- 6:12Speaker 2: be a billionaire. But the book has already been written.
- 6:17Speaker 2: If you use it, you could be a billionaire in
- 6:20Speaker 2: spirit and in truth. It ain't got to be money.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Those are my closes, the remarks today. I hope you
- 6:26Speaker 2: got something from it. If you didn't tune in tomorrow
- 6:29Speaker 2: you might get something.
