- 0:00They're going to have a ton of money to spend.
- 0:01Why not putting in one of the top three offensive players in
- 0:05the league? We're going to be looking at
- 0:14Aaron Judge and saying that he can't win the big game, Michael
- 0:17Jordan said. I played 82 games.
- 0:20You don't see LeBron. Doing that a game where you got
- 0:23to go for four. I told you, Giant feet and
- 0:26Saquon Barkley at this point, say
- 0:41whatever you want. He's the best quarterback in the
- 0:44NFL. Really.
- 0:54I can go through my mind behind the speed of rain and when this
- 0:57is going from my eyes. Let's do it.

- 1:52All day it's been a mixture of rain and sleet or whatever the
- 1:57hell you call it, a little snow. You're listening to a new show

- 3:11him a shout out. Our PR manager, the one the only

- 3:19Well, I hope he's been banging something.
- 3:22But yes, the one and only Nathan, our PR manager Tommy

- 3:32he's going to be going in and out throughout the show.
- 3:35Nick Goody might join us a little bit later as well.
- 3:38His son is in the playoffs, so he told me he had playoff
- 3:43baseball. So hopefully we see Nick a
- 3:45little bit later in the show. It's been a crazy 1 and I went
- 3:48to see a doctor today because I've been dealing with kidney
- 3:52stones. Now, I don't know if anybody's
- 3:54ever dealt with kidney stones. It is the worst feeling you
- 3:59possibly can have, not even as a woman, but a man.
- 4:04And I've heard from women telling me that having kidney
- 4:08stones is worse than having children.
- 4:10Just think about that. And, and, and what's crazy about
- 4:14it is I never had it in my early 20s, my 30s.
- 4:19Now I've hit the 40 mark and I'm starting to get it.
- 4:23My first kidney stone was 6.2mm which they said I could not pass
- 4:29it and I passed it. It took me months to pass this
- 4:33kidney stone. It was in my bladder for like 3
- 4:37weeks before it came out. And then on Saturday I woke up
- 4:41at 1:00 in the morning and I I don't know if anybody's ever had
- 4:45it. It feels like somebody stabbing
- 4:49you in the kidney and it just just completely vibrates through
- 4:54your body. It go you sweat and your legs
- 4:58shake. Your body just completely
- 5:01defuses and it feels like you're about to blow up.
- 5:06And I, I crawled into the bathroom in so much pain.
- 5:10I knew what it was because I've had this before and I told my
- 5:15girlfriend I you got to take me to the hospital and I'll, I'll
- 5:18never forget when I walked through the hospital, they knew
- 5:21exactly what I was dealing with because they can see it in my
- 5:24face. My face turned pale white.
- 5:27I look like Casper the ghost, OK, And just think it's a rock.
- 5:34And, and the one that I have right now that was passing
- 5:36through was about 2 1/2mm. So it's about, I would say, how
- 5:41could I say what it looks like? I would say it just look up 2mm.
- 5:46I, I can't precisely tell you what it looks like, but it, it's
- 5:49a pretty big rock and it's got to go through a tube all the way
- 5:54through to your bladder. Just think about it, a tube
- 5:57that's connected to your kidneys.
- 5:59It's got a trail all the way down to your bladder for you to
- 6:02pass it. And then it's got to go through
- 6:04a little pee hole that you got to piss out.
- 6:07It is the worst feeling you possibly can go through as a
- 6:12man. I'm telling you guys, you do not
- 6:14want kidney stones. I've heard gallbladder stones,
- 6:17those are bad too. But kidney stones are the worst
- 6:22and I don't wish that upon anybody.
- 6:24My worst enemy. So I would give you guys some
- 6:27advice. Drink a lot of water.
- 6:30A lot of water and make sure you you get your calcium, your
- 6:34potassium, the way you're supposed to.
- 6:36If you don't, it's going to build up.
- 6:39And don't eat a lot of processed foods because once you do that
- 6:43and your body gets used to it, it's going to start creating
- 6:46stones in your kidneys and you're never going to get rid of
- 6:49them. I'm dealing with two of them
- 6:51right now. Once a 4mm, it hasn't even
- 6:53dropped yet. Could you imagine when that
- 6:55thing drops? I mean it is a horrible,
- 6:58horrible feeling, but I had to give you that.
- 7:01I got to give you my take I job. I know you probably never had
- 7:04kidney stones, but I'm sure you know people that have had.
- 7:06It is the worst feeling. Yeah, I've never had it.
- 7:10So knock on wood, I've heard. I've heard it's painful.
- 7:15Phil Hughes actually used to get him like every spring training.
- 7:18Really. Oh, it's bad, man.
- 7:20You drink a bunch of like I think his was a.
- 7:23You drink cranberry juice. Yeah, that's what they say.
- 7:25But you got to eat you. You got to drink the real
- 7:28cranberry juice, not the fake, the processed sugar 1 You got to
- 7:32taste the one that you you got to squeeze out of cranberries
- 7:35and it tastes like crap. It tastes like horsedo Doo.
- 7:39OK, I don't know what it tastes like, but it smells like it and
- 7:41it tastes like it. It's.
- 7:42Yeah, the like, it's like I do tart Terry juice or yeah, tart
- 7:47cherry juice, like inflammation, that stuff is.
- 7:49It's bad, man. And I've, I've had it and I
- 7:52actually, and it doesn't really go bad that you can keep it in
- 7:55your refrigerator for a couple of years and it doesn't go bad
- 7:58as long as it's not processed and there's no additional sugar
- 8:01that's added to it. It lasts a long time.
- 8:04So I actually have it in my, I've had it before to take shots
- 8:08of it in the morning and it is a terrible, terrible taste.
- 8:12So I don't wish it upon anybody. So if anybody is dealing with
- 8:17kidney stones, I feel you. I feel you.
- 8:20I feel bad for you. And just try to take care of
- 8:23yourselves because you don't want to, You don't want to
- 8:27continue it and, and it starts to come back and haunt you as
- 8:30you get older. It is, it is the worst.
- 8:33My brother had three surgeries where they had to open up his
- 8:36back to get the stones out of them.
- 8:38One of them was like, I'm not lying to you guys.
- 8:41Like almost 8mm. Could you imagine an 8mm rock
- 8:46trying to pass through YouTube guys?
- 8:49It's like, it's like this big it.
- 8:52There's no way. And they had to cut his back
- 8:55open to get to the rock and they did it like 3 times.
- 8:59He gets it worse than I do. It is it is the word.
- 9:02It's genetics and I. Was going to say, is it
- 9:04hereditary? Oh, absolutely, absolutely.
- 9:07My father had it, my grandfather had it, my brother has it now I
- 9:11have it. So you know, if it runs in your
- 9:14family, take care of it. Prostate cancer runs in my
- 9:16family. Go check your prostate.
- 9:17If if it runs in your family every single year after the age
- 9:20of 40, you should be getting the thumb action.
- 9:24Yes, thumb action, right? Speedy show them.
- 9:27Show them the thumb. No, that's for Wes.
- 9:29Oh well, you show them the thumb action.
- 9:30That's when this comes on. I thought it was a finger.
- 9:32Well, it's a thumb. It's the shocker and when Wes
- 9:35comes on in two hours, I will do it.
- 9:37They stick a thumb up your ass and that's how they test your
- 9:40prostate. Yeah, it's the worst.
- 9:42And they put like gel on it. It's like woo, like one of those
- 9:44jumping ones. But yeah, it is.
- 9:47It's I I get it every. Year you get a dumb I, I get a
- 9:50finger. Oh, OK, a finger in your ass.
- 9:52Who? Who doesn't, I mean?
- 9:54Well, it's not the best. Oh, it's it's weird.
- 9:56It's horrible. I got it when I first signed
- 9:58before we get started. This is a weird, weird story.
- 10:01So I'm getting my pre physical right, going through everything.
- 10:05So they're like, hey, they check you for everything and I'm like,
- 10:08what do you mean like everything?
- 10:10And I'm like, oh, like, yeah, they stick a finger in your butt
- 10:13and I'm like, shut up. No, they don't.
- 10:15And yeah, they did. Literally, you get in there and
- 10:19that's not awkward, like pull your pants down, hernia, all the
- 10:22other stuff that we've gone through, right?
- 10:24And he's like, all right, bend over.
- 10:25He gets a thing at KY Jelly. Oh.
- 10:28God, all in your belly. And he's like here and then like
- 10:32does it the most awkward thing ever that's ever happened.
- 10:34He literally like just hands me a Kleenex and like passes me a
- 10:38Kleenex to like clean my it was so awkward.
- 10:40I was so uncomfortable. Oh, that was weird.
- 10:45I I will say this. I will say this.
- 10:47Droba, Droba Pass Liquor. Well, I don't know if anybody's
- 10:53going to lick your ass after you have KY Jelly in it, I mean.
- 10:58Didn't really didn't really have a problem with it, but I was
- 11:01like this is weird. If only that was true Fish.
- 11:06If only that was true. Anyways, at 8:45 we will be
- 11:11talking 11 year MLB outfielder Logan Morris and he will be
- 11:15joining us. He played from 2010 to 2020 for
- 11:18the Marlins, the Mariners, the Rays, the Twins, the Phillies,
- 11:21the Brewers. Yes, Nathan got us another guest
- 11:25and he wanted me to give him a shout out.
- 11:26Where the hell is Nathan in the frame?
- 11:29But maybe he's driving or he's trying to find that blue, blue
- 11:32Blazers because somebody probably robbed it from him.
- 11:35But nevertheless, Nathan will be joining us a little bit later in
- 11:37the show. It'll be fun.
- 11:39I'll mess around with him. But yeah, it just stay away from
- 11:42the KY Jelly because it might get a little stuck in your
- 11:45belly. A Bleacher Report story
- 11:47Wednesday made lots of ways revealing that just announced
- 11:522025 National League side young winner Paul Skeens wants to be a
- 11:57New York Yankee and has been his dream since he was a kid.
- 12:03An unnamed Pirates teammate for the past two seasons told
- 12:07nj.com's Randy Miller that Skeens has mentioned wanting to
- 12:13play for the Yankees numerous times, and Miller also added
- 12:18that Skeens said he had no confidence the Pirates will ever
- 12:23win before he hits free agency in 2030.
- 12:27Pirates general manager Cherrington said that schemes
- 12:32will be on the Pirates in 2026 and they have no intentions of
- 12:38trading him or trading the 2024 Rookie of the Year at any time
- 12:45soon. The Pirates have hold on because
- 12:49my computer is in the way over here speedy and you should have
- 12:51known that. The Pirates have the fifth
- 12:53lowest payroll in the league at 87.6 million and have only two
- 12:59players making over $10 million and no one over 15.4 million.
- 13:05Skiings, at 875,000, was the eighth highest paid player on
- 13:11the Pirates in 2025. Skiings led the National League
- 13:14with a 1.97 ERAA, 0.95 WHIP and 218 strikeouts in over 188
- 13:22innings pitched, but only went 10 and 10 for the lowly Pirates.
- 13:28Those stats, however, were good enough for Schemes to win the
- 13:33National League Cy Young unanimously just a minute ago.
- 13:38Sanchez from the Phillies finished second, with World
- 13:42Series MVP Yamamoto finishing third.
- 13:46Pull Schemes is the best pitcher in the National League.
- 13:50I don't think anybody's going to argue that right now the best
- 13:52pitcher in the American League is Tarek Scubble.
- 13:56My thoughts were Tarek Scubble will be a New York Mets after
- 14:00winter meetings. I believe it.
- 14:02You can book it, you can sell it.
- 14:04You can put it in a nice little ice cream cone and suck it right
- 14:07down all the way to the bottom of the combing.
- 14:09You don't even have to eat the cone.
- 14:10I'll be right about it. Right now, Paul Schemes speaking
- 14:17about the Yankees, and you're hearing that since he was a
- 14:21little kid he always wanted to play in pinstripes.
- 14:24Tells me one thing, ladies and gentlemen, he's going to be a
- 14:27Yankee. Just a matter of time.
- 14:31And again, there are other teams that'll probably give better
- 14:33packages than the Yankees on. Obviously, the Yankees farm
- 14:37system is not one of the best farm systems right now in
- 14:39baseball. As we all know, it hasn't worked
- 14:42out. Now we'll see what Jones
- 14:43becomes. We'll see what Warren becomes
- 14:46and Schmidt and all these other guys, the young guys that
- 14:48they've called up, he'll all these guys we'll see.
- 14:52Or maybe we won't see because they could be a part of a trade
- 14:56that could send Paul Skeens to the New York Yankees.
- 15:00Cy Young, Paul Skeens, rookie of the year.
- 15:03Paul Skeens to the New York Yankees.
- 15:06Now, do I think the Yankees need Paul Skeens?
- 15:10No, but when you know that a player wants you and has come
- 15:17out and said it numerous at times, numerous times to
- 15:20teammates saying that he wants to be a New York Yankee.
- 15:23That was his dream since he was a little kid.
- 15:25Go look at who Paul Skeens is dating right now.
- 15:29He's all about Broadway. He's all about it.
- 15:34He loves to be the center of attention, and in Pittsburgh
- 15:40you're never going to be the center of attention.
- 15:42It's a beautiful ballpark. It's got great fans.
- 15:46You're never going to win there because the organization is
- 15:49never going to spend 87.6 million.
- 15:53Juan Soto's making 60 million a year and all with the deferred
- 15:57money. Shay Otani's making 70.
- 16:01You're going to tell me that one player is making more than a
- 16:05whole organization, a whole franchise is making.
- 16:08Think about that. And then you go back to what the
- 16:14Pirates have done over the last couple of years.
- 16:17And, and again, we make jokes all the time is the Pirates are
- 16:21the Yankees farm system. Because whenever the Yankees
- 16:24need a player, who do they go to?
- 16:26Who does Brian Cashman go to? He goes to the Pittsburgh
- 16:30Pirates and the Pittsburgh Pirates usually spin the wheel
- 16:34and make the deal with Brian Cashman.
- 16:37Not always the great ones, but he's done it before.
- 16:41Paul Skeens is special. He's young, up and coming,
- 16:48energetic. He is a world beater when it
- 16:51comes to baseball. He is the face of pitching
- 16:56moving forward, when we're going to be talking about Paul Skeens
- 17:00as the next Randy Johnson, the next.
- 17:03I know Jabba doesn't want to hear this.
- 17:04Curt Schilling, That's what he is, and he might be when he gets
- 17:11a chance to play in a playoff game, might be so dominant, so
- 17:16untouchable. Like this year, Yamamoto, where
- 17:21you you might have to be the New York Yankees and might have to
- 17:25be willing to trade off pieces that could, you know, put your
- 17:30farm system and put, I don't know, put your organization in a
- 17:35place where you're wondering why you made that move.
- 17:38Not because of his talent, because you don't have anything
- 17:42to fill. You don't have any other players
- 17:43to fill in those spots. But he's worth it.
- 17:48Now, if you think about Paul schemes, Garrett Cole, Max Freed
- 17:55as your 1230, and by the way, Schlittler, now that the Yankees
- 18:00might have to trade Schlittler, yeah, but they might have to
- 18:04trade some of these guys. Schlittler is definitely going
- 18:06to be a part of that trade. There's no way they keep in
- 18:08Schlittler. There's no way.
- 18:11If they want Paul skins, Schlittler is going to have to
- 18:14be a part of that trade. And somebody's kidney and liver
- 18:19100% A. 100% Jones will have to be a part of that trade.
- 18:23Heal will have to be a part of that trade.
- 18:26There is no way the Yankees are going to steal this man away
- 18:30from the Pittsburgh Pirates without selling body parts to
- 18:35the Pirates. I mean seriously, it's true and
- 18:38it's funny you said that job because I was thinking the same
- 18:40thing. I mean, the Yankees would have
- 18:43to sell the moon, the sun, the stars, the Big Dipper to get
- 18:48Paul's Keens to wear pinstripes. Can it happen?
- 18:51Yes. Will it happen?
- 18:53More than likely, because with baseball, when a player comes
- 18:57out and says this is his dream, I remember Alex Rodriguez.
- 19:04Now I'm going to go back to this.
- 19:06Alex Rodriguez was playing for Texas.
- 19:09It was pretty much a done deal that he was getting traded to
- 19:11the Red Sox and something fell through.
- 19:16Something happened in the trade that blocked it.
- 19:21And then Brian Cashman jumped right in, made the trade, and
- 19:26Alex Rodriguez became a New York Yankee.
- 19:29And I'll never forget when he went up there and he spoke to
- 19:32the media and he said, I'm happy to be a New York Yankee.
- 19:36It was a dream of mine since I was a little kid.
- 19:39And then one of the media guys went up there and asked him what
- 19:41about the Red Sox? And he said, well, that's the
- 19:44Red Sox, this is the Yankees. Think about that.
- 19:48That's the Red Sox. This is the Yankees.
- 19:52And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why playing in pinstripes is
- 19:59different, playing anywhere else.
- 20:02And I think Paul Skeens knows that.
- 20:05I think Paul Skeens understands that if you win it, if you win
- 20:08in New York, you're a God. You're in everything.
- 20:13And Paul Skeens knows that, and he wants to challenge.
- 20:18He knows his stuff is as good as anybody's.
- 20:20He knows that if he goes to New York, he's the best pitcher in
- 20:24the world. He's going to bring a
- 20:25championship home to the New York Yankees and he's willing to
- 20:28prove it. He's willing to take on the
- 20:30challenge. A lot of pitchers did not accept
- 20:34that. A lot of pitchers.
- 20:36We've seen so many great pitchers come through New York
- 20:39and it never worked. Never, never.
- 20:44And that says a lot about this kid.
- 20:46And what does it tell me about what the Yankees need to do
- 20:49moving forward? I think the Yankees need to sit
- 20:52back. Let the Pirates, let the Pirates
- 20:55go to him. Let the Pirates go to them.
- 20:58The Pirates. I just.
- 20:59Don't think they would. I mean, because yes, they have
- 21:01young talent, but as we've seen, they don't do anything with it
- 21:06and literally like what? And not not to say that they're
- 21:11guys that they have on their team aren't worth showing up to
- 21:13the yard for, but really with all the negative stuff from the
- 21:17bricks falling in, like all the things that have happened with
- 21:20that organization as a whole, like.
- 21:21The guy with his phone in his pocket too?
- 21:23That was allegedly cheating. Oh yeah, that means it's just
- 21:26been all negative at that point. Like if you get that, there
- 21:30might be. And I love, I love Pittsburgh.
- 21:33I love PNC. It's awesome.
- 21:34I mean, the town, the the stadium, the mound, everything
- 21:37about it is awesome. If they got rid of them right
- 21:40now, I don't. I mean, it's already a dumpster
- 21:44fire organization as it is. I can only imagine what it would
- 21:47be. And even even if they got back
- 21:50whatever they wanted, and I don't care who it is, if it's
- 21:53Schlittler, if it's whoever I'm shit Roman Anthony, like even
- 21:57though he just signed, I'm just using names that would like draw
- 21:59attention. It wouldn't be what it is
- 22:02because you drafted him. He's won a rookie of the year,
- 22:05he's won a Cy Young. He's the face of, I mean, he's
- 22:09one of the faces of baseball. Obviously being the way he is
- 22:12in, in your Broadway talk, like obviously he's in the face.
- 22:16He's in commercials, he's doing this other stuff.
- 22:18And from what everybody said, he's a great dude like that.
- 22:21It would be a riot. I got a nickname for him.
- 22:24I've got a nickname. Let's call him Broadway Paul.
- 22:27How about that? You can't.
- 22:29I mean, Broadway, Joe, you can't.
- 22:30I mean you can't steal that Thunder.
- 22:32I'm writing. Errol, what's the steel Thunder?
- 22:34For Davis, I'm writing. I'm writing an article.
- 22:37I'm calling a Broadway poll, that's what.
- 22:39Because I'm going to write an article tonight about it.
- 22:41I want to know and when I get to New York, I'm going to find this
- 22:44out because we read headlines and this is relative to Paul
- 22:47schemes obviously about Babe Ruth's old apartment.
- 22:51They wouldn't sell it. I, I there's got to be more to
- 22:53that story. I'm sure, but put it into
- 22:55context if there's. Anything there?
- 22:57Errol would want to actually take something away from Joe
- 22:59Namath because he considers the most.
- 23:00Overrated. Jet.
- 23:01Ever. I will say this.
- 23:06Where's nice coats? Though I will say this for For
- 23:09any Yankee fan out there that wants to dream A Little Dream,
- 23:14well, it's a dream and it's not gonna ever be a nightmare
- 23:17because if. I said the same thing on
- 23:20Twitter. If if I didn't even look at your
- 23:22Twitter. I was like, hey, it's nice to
- 23:24dream, don't take it away. Yeah, it's not a nightmare
- 23:28because if this guy ever becomes available in the next year or
- 23:31two, the Yankees are the team that's going to scoop them up.
- 23:36There's no way. If you hear it in Paul, you're
- 23:38hearing different people say he wants to be a Yankee.
- 23:41And usually when you hear that from a player as good as he is,
- 23:47that's where he wants to go and that's where Pittsburgh is going
- 23:50to trade him. Now, I don't know when it's
- 23:52going to happen. It can happen 2 years from now.
- 23:54It can happen 2029. Paul Schemes will be a New York
- 23:59Yankee. You could book that.
- 24:00You could book it. I really do believe that.
- 24:03Go ahead, speak. Yeah, I was going to say like
- 24:05they have no leverage at this point.
- 24:06The Pirates and Ben Charrington has already been in hot water as
- 24:09AGM as it is and ownership that don't want to spend anything
- 24:12like this was saying in the in the read off fifth lowest in
- 24:15payroll. And Jabba, you mentioned it too.
- 24:17Like how many really top prospects have they had over the
- 24:20years, like probably starting with Andrew McCutchen and then
- 24:23all these other guys that come with Polanco now, O'Neil Cruz,
- 24:26all these guys that have really big names.
- 24:28And even if Jabba, like you were saying they trade for Roman
- 24:31Anthony, they trade for Schlittler.
- 24:33Like even if they get a prospect as good as that, who says that
- 24:36they they're going to even want to stay over there?
- 24:38So they have no leverage at this point to be able to do anything
- 24:41except maybe for once in a while this crap ownership could
- 24:45finally decide, all right, maybe we should just go pay this guy
- 24:47at this point, but make him happy now.
- 24:49And OK, maybe he wants to be a Yankee in the future.
- 24:51Give him a six year deal, be the record setting highest paid
- 24:54pitcher ever to just keep him there at that point because they
- 24:57have no leverage to just get anything back in trades at this.
- 24:59Point do you think he would even entertain that?
- 25:02Like like you said, if. It's the right amount.
- 25:04Of money, maybe if it's like a six year deal worth 700 million,
- 25:07maybe they do it. Then he plays with the Yankees
- 25:09later in his career. Fine.
- 25:10Like you would do that? Because.
- 25:12Like, I think you're like, as wild as that.
- 25:15Is this sound speedy? I think.
- 25:16It's wild, yeah. I'm just saying that's what they
- 25:18should. Have to be something like that
- 25:19for him to stay there. Honestly, I think I'm not.
- 25:21Saying it's going to happen, I don't trust the pirates to do
- 25:23the do the smart thing. But like that's at this point
- 25:25what it's going to take to do that because it's he's coming
- 25:27out with all the leverage, right?
- 25:28Now, who do you think Paul Skeen's favorite player growing
- 25:31up was? Andy Pettitt.
- 25:35Anybody. How about you, Jabba?
- 25:37Have a guess. I don't, Roger.
- 25:40Roger. Clemens.
- 25:42He's right. Roger Clemens.
- 25:44And it was Roger Clemens on the Yankees, not on the Red Sox.
- 25:48He grew up watching. Not the Blue Jays, no.
- 25:51He grew up watching Roger Clemens on the Yankees and.
- 25:55Roger lived in the He lived in the Roger Center.
- 25:57I know that when they had the. Hey, that hotel, that hotel's
- 26:02dope. That was built into the Sky
- 26:05Dome. I always, or whatever now I go
- 26:07to Toronto every January and we're going this year.
- 26:09I always pass. I always go right next to the
- 26:12Rogers Center and it's always snowing and I never really get a
- 26:14chance to really see the beauty of it because Brittany's always
- 26:17like I'm calm, so I never get a chance.
- 26:21It's beautiful. And there's like, there's a
- 26:23sneaky, like a sneaky entrance, like, so there's like a service
- 26:27elevator, but there's like another elevator, Yeah.
- 26:30Where if you stay there, like you can literally like it drops
- 26:33you in like the back of the Roger Center.
- 26:36And so you don't ever have to see anybody.
- 26:37It's it's sweet. But they what was the college
- 26:41that had the dorm rooms that were built into the built
- 26:43baseball stadium. Do you remember?
- 26:44I know there was one that they were.
- 26:46Saying, oh, I know what you're talking about.
- 26:47I can't, I can't remember. I know there.
- 26:50Was one. What was that?
- 26:52Renovated on that. Yeah, but they, but they started
- 26:55putting signs up this, it was probably like right when I got
- 26:58there. So it'd have been 2007, 2008
- 27:00ish. We would always like as the
- 27:02stairs, you come down and then you go up the stairs into the
- 27:06dugout. But just as you like if you're
- 27:09coming up the stairs, just to your right is the camera guy and
- 27:13he's sitting down. So you're like eye level when
- 27:15you're up on the stairs. And we would always go and in
- 27:17between innings he would hawk in the thing and so we could see
- 27:21inside the rooms. They got after it.
- 27:24But now they started posting signs if you get caught, like
- 27:26you get kicked in and you get a fine because they were they were
- 27:30having some extracurriculars that made the game.
- 27:33Pretty. Entertaining in between innings.
- 27:36You know, before we get to our guest, I had to, I had to go
- 27:39follow up on that stat I gave you.
- 27:41Errol Paul Skeins makes $875,000.
- 27:45He is the eighth highest paid player on the Pittsburgh
- 27:48Pirates. They have something like only
- 27:50six guys that are making over $1,000,000 on their roster.
- 27:55Andrew McCutcheon makes 5 million.
- 27:57He is the third highest paid player on the team, Highest paid
- 28:00player. Mitch Keller, 15.4 million.
- 28:03He's not a great pitcher. And that's, and that's the team
- 28:07they're they would have to give like they're going to, he's
- 28:10going to want what, a 15,000,000, a 15 year deal He's
- 28:13going to get Boris. We may be talking the the word
- 28:16trillion if we're going to wait for.
- 28:19Not true. I don't know. 15 for one trip.
- 28:221515 years. I think.
- 28:24He doesn't. He's not going to want 6.
- 28:26I think he's going to want until he retires.
- 28:28I think I just said. That as the Pirates last ditch
- 28:30effort. I think because he's a pitcher,
- 28:32I think he's the first like $750 million pitcher or something
- 28:36like that. That's what he's going to get.
- 28:38I wouldn't say billion. I, I would say 750 million.
- 28:42This is this is a guy that pitches every other day.
- 28:44So I, I would say that pull schemes is going to get that
- 28:47kind of money. That's why I think it's it's.
- 28:49It's like silly money that he's going to get and it's, I think
- 28:52it's, I'm obviously joking about.
- 28:54Trillion. No, I got it.
- 28:55I got it. I got it.
- 28:56But that's that's the whole point.
- 28:58Guys like the Yankees have a great shot at getting this.
- 29:01Now the question is it's not this year, but if we're we're
- 29:06talking about it now, it feels like it's something we're going
- 29:09to be talking about a lot as the season goes on and into the next
- 29:13offseason. All right, ladies and gentlemen,
- 29:16my deuce of the day. The deuce of the day.
- 29:20You log, not a log. I don't have a log but you.
- 29:22Know. Well, it seems like this guy is
- 29:32a part of every deuce of the Day and I don't know why, but hey, I
- 29:36don't like the guy. And I'll be heading to the
- 29:38Heisman Trophy dinner this year and I actually got accepted.
- 29:43So I want to give a shout out to Ashley.
- 29:44Sarge, me and him will be going to the dinner.
- 29:47It'll be fun as it always is, and maybe get the chance to
- 29:51curse out some other play. I'm just kidding.
- 29:52I won't do that, but it's really, really fun.
- 29:55It's thank you to Tim Henning for accepting us.
- 29:58But I want to say something. Travis Hunter, this story just,
- 30:04it's just absolutely ridiculous. Travis Hunter is now getting
- 30:09surgery and he's out for the rest of the season.
- 30:11Yes, you heard it from me. Travis AKA the Gremlin Hunter is
- 30:16out for the rest of the season and you think about Jacksonville
- 30:20and what we thought Jacksonville was going to be this year.
- 30:22And when they made that move, jumping from 5:00 to 2:00 and
- 30:26giving up a significant amount of picks to get Travis Hunter
- 30:30because you thought, yes, the Jacksonville Jaguars thought he
- 30:34is the game changer. He is the the, the Ohtani of
- 30:39football, the prime of football. A guy that could play defense
- 30:43and offense every single game. Well, ladies and gentlemen, if
- 30:48you look at his offensive ability, where was he ranked as
- 30:51a wide receiver in a league not even in the top 100?
- 30:53And when when you look at where he was ranked in the top
- 30:58defensive side of the ball, he was in the rank in the top 80.
- 31:01What does that tell you about what Travis, AKA the Gremlin
- 31:05Hunter is? He stinks.
- 31:07He is going to be one of the overrated Heisman Trophy winners
- 31:11we've ever seen come out of any draft and never succeed in the
- 31:16NFL. I've told you.
- 31:17And by the way, Quentin Couples owes me an apology.
- 31:22He does what? What do we bet?
- 31:24Did I bet him I? Also find out.
- 31:25I'm going to try to get him on the show in December.
- 31:27Well, Quentin Couples owes me something OK, because he told me
- 31:32that this guy will have at least one interception and I told him
- 31:36he'd be lucky to have a touchdown but he will never have
- 31:39an interception and he owes me an apology because I I just.
- 31:44I think you guys did bet something.
- 31:46We did. Yeah, they definitely did.
- 31:48I'm going to have to fight it before we get about.
- 31:49We're going to try to. Get about December, I think it
- 31:51might be a dinner, but he owes me something.
- 31:54But yeah, so my deuce, My, my deuce.
- 31:58My, my, my, I'm, I'm like lost. I'm lisping.
- 32:00My deuce of the day goes to the absolute debacle of an
- 32:05organization, the Jacksonville Jaguars making a move to draft
- 32:08this moron in Travis the gremlin hunter.
- 32:13And by the way, I couldn't stand him when I met him at the dinner
- 32:17and I'm just looking forward to seeing what idiot I'm going to
- 32:20meet this time. So I Travis hunter absolute
- 32:23debacle deuce of the day. I got to give everybody a little
- 32:27bit more credit than they, they get on the show.
- 32:30I, I think the content in the creating of the content is, is
- 32:35very unique. I don't think there's anybody in
- 32:37this industry that does what we do and, and the way we kind of
- 32:40present our content for all the fans to tune in and look at even
- 32:44check out some of the stories that we post on our website.
- 32:47I think it's pretty incredible what we're doing right now.
- 32:52And I think we are changing certain parts of this industry.
- 32:56And I remember there's a million podcasts out there, but I think
- 32:59there's stuff that we're doing that is changing the game.
- 33:02And I think if anybody hasn't seen it or hasn't checked out
- 33:06the product that we put out there every single week, well,
- 33:08shame on you. Stop.
- 33:10You know, making love to Rick D Pietro's jersey and come to the
- 33:14dark side. That's all I'm going to say.
- 33:17Yeah. That's it.
- 33:18Thank you to our our very special guest, Logan Morrison,
- 33:22for joining us. He was sensational, first time
- 33:25on a show, very strong personality.
- 33:28I like it and very sure of himself and I right off the bat
- 33:34when I brought up the deferred money, he got me thinking.
- 33:36So anyways, thank you to Logan for joining us.
- 33:40Thank you to all the fans on social media and all the
- 33:43different platforms we're on that tune into us every single
- 33:46week, every single show, every single clip on Spotify and Apple
- 33:51and Spotify and Apple video and X and Instagram and TikTok and
- 33:56YouTube. Thank you to all the fans.
- 33:59We really do appreciate you guys and and again, all we do is try
- 34:04to entertain you guys and give you the best product that we
- 34:06possibly can. So I'd like to thank all the
- 34:09fans that you know, are dedicated to listening to us and
- 34:12tell me all the time, man, you guys got the best show.
- 34:15You really do and you're so entertaining and I, I appreciate
- 34:19all you guys that give us all that great positive notion of
- 34:24what we're doing right now. So thank you.
- 34:25And and by the way, we're not doing a show on Monday at
- 34:30Virgil's. We decided to move it to
- 34:32January. And the reason why is, is
- 34:34because we want to promote it, right?
- 34:36And we're going to do it in many different ways.
- 34:37So everybody can come down. We're going to get guests and,
- 34:41and we want everybody to come down and hang out with us and
- 34:43have a lot of fun with us. So that's why we pushed it off.
- 34:47It was like a split minute thing and all the fans that we're
- 34:51going to come down and I know quite a few of you that we're
- 34:53going to come down. Don't worry about it.
- 34:55I will once we pick a date and we know and we set it in stone.
- 35:00I promise you guys we're going to promote it and and you guys
- 35:03will definitely come down because we're going to get
- 35:05special guests down there that you guys can meet and and maybe
- 35:10get a couple of autographs from. So stay tuned, we'll let you
- 35:14know. Besides that, Speedy, who do we
- 35:16have lined up for? Next.
- 35:16So nothing because of Monday because I thought we were doing
- 35:18the live show then. So nothing yet for Monday.
- 35:20But Wednesday Nathan was able to get us a Yankees hero in the
- 35:23playoffs. Bucky Dent at 8:45 X shortstop.
- 35:26We play for a bunch of different.
- 35:28Teams. Didn't we see him at a card
- 35:29show? Maybe you're going to ask
- 35:31Nathan. I don't.
- 35:31Remember, I think he did. He's the.
- 35:33Expert on that, yeah, but. Yeah, he lives in Florida,
- 35:36right? I don't know.
- 35:37You'll have to ask Nathan. Right, Nathan?
- 35:39He lives in Florida. Oh no, he did come back at the
- 35:42feed. All right here, Nathan.
- 35:45No, he was asking if Bucky Denton lives in Florida.
- 35:47Yeah, Bucky Denton lives in. Florida, Yes.
- 35:49Yep. Yeah.
- 35:50We met him at the card show. I remember Bucky.
- 35:52You did. Yeah, OK.
- 35:56Yep, a very nice guy, by the way.
- 35:58Very, very nice guy. But yeah, anyways, that's it.
- 36:03Enjoy the rest of your beautiful weekend.
- 36:07Stay out of trouble because it seems like I get into a lot of
- 36:10it. And we'll talk to you next week.
- 36:12Goodnight. It's the worldwide sports radio
- 36:16network. Radio Network.
