- 0:23Let the games begin. NASCAR finally responds to
- 0:28Michael Jordan, as reported by Bob Pockrass.
- 0:33Remember, I respond to what I see and then I give my opinion.
- 0:39Everybody's been saying, even Michael Jordan at Talladega
- 0:43said, you know. No response from NASCAR yet
- 0:46since Michael Jordan, 2311, Denny Hamlin and Front Row
- 0:51Motorsports, since they filed the antitrust lawsuit.
- 0:55They filed it and NASCAR has not responded until just now.
- 1:02So what did NASCAR say? Boy, I'll tell you what.
- 1:07Remember I said let the games begin, man.
- 1:11I think this is going to be this is going to be a tough boxing
- 1:14match. I really do.
- 1:16I didn't think NASCAR would would go down easily and I don't
- 1:20think they're going to go down. We got to remember if you study
- 1:24the history of NASCAR, they're, you know, they're pretty damn
- 1:30smart. You know, we've read stories
- 1:32that NASCAR has got close ties to Washington, the government,
- 1:37things of that nature. And I also believe when I tell
- 1:41you a little bit about the letters that Bob Pockras put
- 1:45out, 2311 wrote a letter to NASCAR, Steve Phelps, it says
- 1:50Steve Phelps. And you read the letter, yes,
- 1:53Charlie Model's going to do it. Another report.
- 1:56He's probably going to, you know, show you a little bit of
- 1:58that. And then and then NASCAR really
- 2:01doesn't respond to 2311. But NASCAR had to respond in a
- 2:06timely manner on the antitrust lawsuit.
- 2:11See, when you file a lawsuit, you have to respond because
- 2:15think about it, if somebody sues you and you go, well, I ain't
- 2:18responded. No, by law you have to respond.
- 2:22So NASCAR had a deadline. They had to meet because of
- 2:28Hurricane Milton. NASCAR said listen, we need a
- 2:33little bit of a delay here. The hurricane has come through
- 2:36Daytona Beach, FL right at our offices today.
- 2:42The courts said, OK, we will give you a little more time
- 2:45because act of God, that's also in a lot of a lot of contracts,
- 2:53something out of our control. All right, told you what's going
- 2:57on. Let's let's give you my opinion
- 3:00and let me give you the details. All right.
- 3:02So Steve Phelps receives the letter from Michael Jordan and
- 3:07it it's signed, it's signed Michael Jordan.
- 3:12Danny Hanlon, you know, you're thinking somebody in the office
- 3:15is going to do this, maybe an attorney.
- 3:17No, So 2311 Michael Jordan, Danny Hamlin, they write a
- 3:22letter to Steve Phelps, who's the president of NASCAR.
- 3:25And, and basically I'm going to, I'm going to D bullshit it for
- 3:29you. In short, what the letter says
- 3:31is you talked to all the other teams, but you never talked to
- 3:35us. And it goes on you, Jim France
- 3:39and other players in NASCAR, they sat down with other teams,
- 3:42but they they quit sitting down. They they quit sitting down with
- 3:46Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin. So that's the letter.
- 3:51And basically the letter says, hi, Steve Phelps, you got our
- 3:58backs against the wall. We're not signing.
- 4:00We're not signing this new charter agreement.
- 4:05We don't like it. All right, in short, that's what
- 4:09the letter from Michael Jordan said to Steve Phelps.
- 4:13OK, crickets. Nothing happened.
- 4:16Everybody goes to Talladega. Michael Jordan says haven't,
- 4:20haven't heard from NASCAR, They haven't responded.
- 4:23But NASCAR took it all the way to the limit.
- 4:25And then Hurricane Milton, as I said, delayed it.
- 4:28So here's what NASCAR said. Now this is really interesting.
- 4:31This is this is the big deal. NASCAR says, OK, 2311 front row,
- 4:38you're asking for an injunction. You're you're saying you want us
- 4:43to keep you on the charter deal because this is going to court
- 4:46now. Everybody in the industry is
- 4:49saying this can last 2-3 years. Oh, yeah, you can.
- 4:53You can drag it out as long as you want.
- 4:56This is a killer. Now, this is my opinion.
- 4:59This is my opinion. This is not good for Michael
- 5:06Jordan and Denny Hamlin. And here's why.
- 5:09I'm telling you why. OK, so 23116, we want the courts
- 5:14to say we can race with you as a charter.
- 5:19And if you're a charter member and you go to Daytona in 2025,
- 5:23you get all this extra money, millions upon millions of
- 5:27dollars, right? Here's NASCAR's response.
- 5:31Instead of you reading it, I'm going to tell it to you.
- 5:33NASCAR says Nope, we are not going to get, we are not going
- 5:37to let you be part of the charter.
- 5:39And I just said it redneck style.
- 5:41Basically they said we're not, we're not going to allow the
- 5:44injunction. And here's why.
- 5:46And this is another reason why when you go to court your
- 5:49attorneys say shut your mouth. NASCAR said we're not giving
- 5:54them an injunction because they because 2311 has come out and
- 5:58said we will race next year as a non charter member.
- 6:04I'm going to say it one more time because somebody will
- 6:06somebody will go. Herman said it, but I don't
- 6:09understand it. I'm going to say it one more
- 6:11time. NASCAR said that over the last
- 6:15two weeks, 2311 said in open, if they don't approve our charter,
- 6:22we'll just go ahead and race as a non charter member next year.
- 6:27Remember they got the two spots open.
- 6:29You can qualify. So, Woo, I mean, I don't know,
- 6:35you know, now, listen, the courts are going to decide on
- 6:39this injunction. But the story here is NASCAR
- 6:42said, no, we're not going to give you an injunction.
- 6:47That's the big story in the garage area.
- 6:49NASCAR's first response is no capital.
- 6:54NO, and here's why because you're suing us.
- 6:59And here's what's interesting. NASCAR says if 2311 prevails,
- 7:06then we can settle up then. OK, Now listen, don't get on to
- 7:11me about legal terms. I'm a redneck.
- 7:14I'm I'm telling you I'm a redneck.
- 7:15And I'm telling you this is all my opinion.
- 7:18What's going to happen. But I've told you what happened
- 7:20and I'm right, OK? I didn't see any fancy words
- 7:25like thereof and therefore and all that stuff, but that is it.
- 7:30So I think this is going to be a battle Royale.
- 7:35You know, NASCAR's strong, they're big, but but Michael
- 7:41Jordan, Michael Jordan and all those championship games 32
- 7:47makes the shot swish. So, you know, I listen it it,
- 7:53it's like I said, it's going to be a battle Royale.
- 7:56And like I said, NASCAR said no, let the games begin.
- 8:02So it's going to be interesting. NASCAR got the delay from the
- 8:08courts because of the hurricane Milton and and everybody goes,
- 8:12what's next, Kenny, what's next? All right, here's what's next.
- 8:17The courts have to rule whether to allow 2311 and front row.
- 8:23And listen, front rows are not anywhere.
- 8:25And in this paperwork, I know you're going to start responding
- 8:28going front row 2, front row two.
- 8:30Well, listen, Bob Popgrass and everybody, I don't see 2311
- 8:34anywhere. All they show, you know, is the
- 8:39letter from 2311 to Steve Phelps, and then they show
- 8:43NASCAR's response. So even though, yeah, 2311 and
- 8:48front rows involved, I don't see nothing from front row and I
- 8:52thought it would be that way. All right, everybody respond
- 8:56right here. Who's going to win this battle
- 8:58Royale? Two questions.
- 9:02Will the courts say, OK, NASCAR, you got to allow them to be a
- 9:07charter member when they go to Daytona in 2025?
- 9:11Will the will the, will the courts rule in Michael Jordan's
- 9:15favor and Front Row's favor? Will they say, will the courts
- 9:20say, OK, NASCAR, you got to treat them as a charter member
- 9:24even though they haven't signed it?
- 9:25They haven't signed it. Are you going to treat them as a
- 9:28charter member? NASCAR says no, no.
- 9:33And then obviously it goes to court the the whole antitrust
- 9:37lawsuit. Remember, this is the second
- 9:39tentacle. The real lawsuit is hey, NASCAR.
- 9:43And here's another thing real quick and like this, when you
- 9:46read it all, 2311 is not asking for anything.
- 9:50It's really weird. They just say we want better.
- 9:54It doesn't say, hey, NASCAR, give everybody 10 million more.
- 9:58It doesn't say give us this, give us that.
- 10:00It just says we want more. All right, respond right here.
- 10:03Straighten me out. Remember, I don't know what I'm
- 10:05talking about. You're smarter than me.
- 10:08All right, Charlie, Marlon going to read it all out to you later
- 10:11on. But that's just an up to date
- 10:13and boy it's wild. Who's going to win?
- 10:16Respond right here.
