- 3:13Speaker 4: important details about the super Creuse. Because we talk a
- 3:15Speaker 4: lot about the ZR two family. Now it's time to
- 3:18Speaker 4: get you guys mesmerized by the supercrews from the Chevy Silverado.
- 3:23Speaker 7: The super Cruise just people know is a is new
- 3:26Speaker 7: tech that is getting updated in Chevy Silverado's. I believe
- 3:29Speaker 7: so in the brand new ones they will have so
- 3:33Speaker 7: all of the Chevy Silverado's coming out and so four
- 3:36Speaker 7: will have supercrus.
- 3:38Speaker 4: Mine wont get a supercruse, No, I think yours.
- 3:41Speaker 7: Yours is last year's edition.
- 3:43Speaker 4: It doesn't have it.
- 3:43Speaker 7: But when you get your your updated one, when Chevy
- 3:46Speaker 7: sends you a brand new saper cruise activities.
- 3:49Speaker 6: We need and that's what we do need, especially me.
- 3:52Speaker 4: I was in my UH. I was being driven to
- 3:54Speaker 4: the Combine yesterday.
- 3:56Speaker 6: And I did not set it up. The NFL set
- 3:59Speaker 6: it up, and I got in the V and I'll
- 4:00Speaker 6: just say this, it wasn't a Chevy. So I'm white
- 4:02Speaker 6: knuckling it the whole time I'm on my way there
- 4:04Speaker 6: because I don't feel as safe as I could possibly feel.
- 4:07Speaker 4: Take a picture. Me and my boy Ishmael were on
- 4:10Speaker 4: the drive.
- 4:11Speaker 6: I had a buddy from high school hits me up
- 4:13Speaker 6: and he's like, nice to see you and one an
- 4:14Speaker 6: x y Z car and he sends me a picture
- 4:17Speaker 6: of his non Chevy in there and I was like, brother,
- 4:20Speaker 6: you're gonna have a family soon. I suggest you do
- 4:23Speaker 6: the right thing, keep your family safe, go trade that
- 4:25Speaker 6: POS and get you a Sevy Silverado specifically this year two.
- 4:29Speaker 4: And until then, I'm gonna delete your number and don't.
- 4:30Speaker 6: Ever contact right, don't contact me again. Trust me, we're
- 4:33Speaker 6: not boys right now. If you're wondering if we're good
- 4:35Speaker 6: or not, let me answer that question for you. We're
- 4:36Speaker 6: not good.
- 4:37Speaker 4: Yeah, that's not how we're gonna do.
- 4:38Speaker 6: But yeah, dude, combined yesterday, combine the entire week last
- 4:42Speaker 6: week was pretty impressive. The combine forty record was broken
- 4:47Speaker 6: by Worthy, the wide receiver from Texas.
- 4:49Speaker 4: You get what you need in there? Yeah, I need
- 4:51Speaker 4: to get that. Yeah, a little swirl. Boys starting to
- 4:53Speaker 4: get separated, huh yeah, got to get it back together.
- 4:56Speaker 4: Can we pull that little clip up real quick? We
- 4:57Speaker 4: pulled that clip up of Worthy and just walk.
- 5:00Speaker 5: Running the master at work, Yes.
- 5:03Speaker 4: Four two one. I believe it was his official time.
- 5:05Speaker 4: That is so crazy. That's a nuts dude.
- 5:08Speaker 6: And there's fast and then there's track fast. This man Xafer,
- 5:11Speaker 6: You're Worthy is track fast. And he knew what he
- 5:15Speaker 6: was gonna do too. Everyone knew, even those boys from
- 5:18Speaker 6: text were I just watched you. Well just wait till
- 5:20Speaker 6: X runs.
- 5:22Speaker 4: The best part is up.
- 5:24Speaker 6: I know sixteen thousand people were in that stadium to watch.
- 5:28Speaker 4: It's the first year that they did that where they
- 5:30Speaker 4: let us people attend.
- 5:33Speaker 6: Did last year too, so I was obviously there with
- 5:35Speaker 6: the offense lineer there. We'll just say it was one
- 5:37Speaker 6: from sixteen thousand to sixteen hundred.
- 5:39Speaker 4: People like it was very sixteen hundred, sixteen thousand.
- 5:42Speaker 6: No, I went from sixteen thousand watching the wide receivers
- 5:44Speaker 6: to sixteen hundred watching the offensive lineman.
- 5:46Speaker 4: Oh the office time and now go last yeah yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 5:49Speaker 4: But the Hogs man the Hogs. Not a lot of
- 5:51Speaker 4: love for the Hogs. I don't want to see speed.
- 5:53Speaker 4: You want to see speed.
- 5:54Speaker 6: You want to talk about quarterbacks Rich Eyes and Daniel Jeremiah,
- 5:57Speaker 6: those two individuals during the Hogs workout, we're talking about
- 6:00Speaker 6: how great JJ McCarthy's workout it is, and how he's
- 6:02Speaker 6: the sleeper of the draft, and how incredible that guy's
- 6:04Speaker 6: going to be in the NFL. If you want a quarterback,
- 6:08Speaker 6: you want to get excited about a quarterback, get excited
- 6:10Speaker 6: about the offense line as well, because your quarterback is
- 6:11Speaker 6: gonna be nothing without a good offensive line boys and girls. Okay,
- 6:14Speaker 6: he will be absolutely not trying to pump the hogs.
- 6:17Speaker 4: Man.
- 6:17Speaker 6: I'm just saying, dude, these guys need a little bit
- 6:19Speaker 6: more respect. And I don't know, did you watch the
- 6:21Speaker 6: combine yesterday?
- 6:22Speaker 4: Were you.
- 6:24Speaker 6: Not fully invested in so during during the forties, the
- 6:27Speaker 6: offensive lineman running the forties, these cats, this is the
- 6:30Speaker 6: fastest one.
- 6:31Speaker 4: The fastest forty for OH line was four nine two. Yeah,
- 6:34Speaker 4: like four nine two yeah.
- 6:35Speaker 6: I think it was only five guys that were under
- 6:37Speaker 6: under five this year. But at one point in the
- 6:41Speaker 6: second group I was down watching that. I was like
- 6:43Speaker 6: standing right here off to the side in the in
- 6:45Speaker 6: the end zone area, watching these guys. There's about ten
- 6:48Speaker 6: dudes left and four or five guys that seemed like
- 6:51Speaker 6: went down with hamstrings or soft tish issues.
- 6:54Speaker 4: Got to get this soft tiste.
- 6:55Speaker 6: One dude pulled his hammy and then all of a
- 6:57Speaker 6: sudden started limping him. Then his knee other knee kind
- 6:59Speaker 6: of buckled. So I hope that didn't get way worse
- 7:01Speaker 6: than it should have been, which leads me to in
- 7:04Speaker 6: twenty fourteen, when your boy was at the combine, off
- 7:07Speaker 6: itsive lineman and the big boys got their first. The
- 7:09Speaker 6: offensive lineman, defensive linemen and the injured guys got there
- 7:12Speaker 6: first and started working through the process. And they're there
- 7:14Speaker 6: for four days and on the fifth day you run.
- 7:18Speaker 6: I think they should go back to even though we
- 7:20Speaker 6: all know why the NFL is now putting the fast
- 7:21Speaker 6: guests first, because the ratings are better and everyone's tired
- 7:23Speaker 6: by Sunday. It's God Day's for God Day for a reason.
- 7:26Speaker 4: Oh yeah, this is the big boy walking. Look at
- 7:27Speaker 4: that dude.
- 7:28Speaker 6: His Beyonce walk had a sock in my piece too,
- 7:30Speaker 6: make it look a little bit bigger. You need to
- 7:33Speaker 6: have these guys, the big boys run first.
- 7:36Speaker 4: Because the soft tiss issues obviously were an issue.
- 7:38Speaker 6: And then some people are even talking about getting rid
- 7:40Speaker 6: of the forty for office linemen in general, but now
- 7:42Speaker 6: talking about just doing a twenty.
- 7:43Speaker 4: Yeah, I think that's smart. See I don't like that.
- 7:45Speaker 6: Before example, a like a young Taylor Lawan would want
- 7:50Speaker 6: to show how fast he is by running the entire forty.
- 7:52Speaker 4: Yeah, But then it goes as it's like, uh, yeah,
- 7:56Speaker 4: but if you're gonna risk the hamstring injury, It's like,
- 7:58Speaker 4: why would you move the old lineman the first so
- 8:00Speaker 4: they could be permittive on the hamsree injuries. Yeah, they
- 8:03Speaker 4: don't bring that. They don't put the asses in the seats.
- 8:05Speaker 4: It'll bring the asses in the seats. But guess what tomorrow,
- 8:07Speaker 4: next day's open. Bring the wide receivers in the next day.
- 8:09Speaker 6: But fro line, do you put the finale for? Do
- 8:11Speaker 6: you watch a fireworks show? Do you watch the finale first? Well,
- 8:14Speaker 6: all the big booms are going off?
- 8:15Speaker 4: Or do you like to watch a couple get you
- 8:16Speaker 4: warmed up a little bit?
- 8:17Speaker 5: Firework show?
- 8:18Speaker 4: Only the last probably thirty minutes one singular day, not
- 8:20Speaker 4: an entire week. It's a four days if they did
- 8:23Speaker 4: if they just did fireworks, like just four days in
- 8:25Speaker 4: a row, just different sets, and they're just doing like
- 8:27Speaker 4: the Sparklers in the beginning, it's like no one's even
- 8:29Speaker 4: gonna watch that either. Yeah, but then you would tune
- 8:31Speaker 4: in for what Yeah, but you're not going to tune
- 8:34Speaker 4: in anyway, and just until the fireworks are going the
- 8:36Speaker 4: big ones are going off.
- 8:37Speaker 6: Yeah, but if you're not going to tune in for
- 8:38Speaker 6: the big guys regardless, what's wrong with putting the big
- 8:41Speaker 6: guys first so that they can have the soft tiss
- 8:43Speaker 6: issues worked out and then put in the real show.
- 8:45Speaker 6: You could even have a pre combine hosted by the hogs,
- 8:48Speaker 6: like you, don't you.
- 8:49Speaker 4: Know what I'm saying. Yeah, all kind of the same thing.
- 8:51Speaker 4: We'll just take them out of the combine altogether.
- 8:53Speaker 6: Yeah, another big winner of the combine Frank Crumb dude.
- 8:57Speaker 4: Ay, And not to mention you a fun little history fact,
- 9:00Speaker 4: Taylor is the fastest forty for guys over six six
- 9:04Speaker 4: in history, and if the forty gets taken away, you
- 9:07Speaker 4: own that record forever for life.
- 9:09Speaker 7: The fastest lineman over six six or fastest guy over
- 9:12Speaker 7: six to six, just in general.
- 9:16Speaker 4: Really, how tall was Calvin Johnson? That's that's exactly.
- 9:19Speaker 6: We're similar comps. I'm pretty sure he was six five.
- 9:23Speaker 6: Now it might have been fastest. Off it's a lineman
- 9:27Speaker 6: over six six regardless, boys, you're the person sitting in
- 9:29Speaker 6: this chair, Thank you, holds a record in the NFL.
- 9:33Speaker 4: Didn't see Joe Thomas on that list. Didn't see Joe Thomas? Now,
- 9:36Speaker 4: which Williams on that list? Might be?
- 9:38Speaker 8: Guys?
- 9:39Speaker 6: Might be guys guys only guys like Calvin Johnson too short,
- 9:44Speaker 6: Calvin too little, being my Kelvin Benjamin?
- 9:48Speaker 5: How tall is? Uh?
- 9:49Speaker 4: Then?
- 9:50Speaker 5: Armstead. He run a fast forty run a four seven
- 9:53Speaker 5: two quick.
- 9:54Speaker 4: He might not be six to six, he's a six five.
- 9:57Speaker 4: Oh yeah, there you go. Yeah, so I would say, yeah,
- 10:00Speaker 4: I just take the forty out. I don't see why
- 10:01Speaker 4: the old lineman either run a forties. They really don't.
- 10:04Speaker 7: Yeah, I think it's as a fan, it's electric.
- 10:07Speaker 4: It's fun to watch dude's run. Man, well, it really
- 10:09Speaker 4: is fun as watch literally to watch all the drills
- 10:12Speaker 4: that are timed. Who's gonna be the winner? Keith Carter?
- 10:17Speaker 4: Did you ud you shake hands with Keith?
- 10:18Speaker 5: Say what's up?
- 10:19Speaker 4: You can?
- 10:19Speaker 6: I didn't say, Adam, But there was never really like
- 10:22Speaker 6: he was doing the drills. And then one time, as
- 10:24Speaker 6: I was kind of like going to do my next
- 10:25Speaker 6: set of like the second group, he was there with
- 10:28Speaker 6: a bunch of guys, and I just chose not to interrupt,
- 10:31Speaker 6: like who am I if I'm going to talk trash
- 10:33Speaker 6: about a guy to go and hey Keith, how are
- 10:35Speaker 6: you good to see you?
- 10:35Speaker 4: It's like I've.
- 10:36Speaker 6: Obviously drowned a line in the sand with Keith, like
- 10:38Speaker 6: not a fan, and that's just kind of how that's
- 10:40Speaker 6: just kind of has if he were to come to me,
- 10:42Speaker 6: I would be cordial and I don't have any bad
- 10:43Speaker 6: blood towards Keith. Right, I would just say in the
- 10:45Speaker 6: profession that I used to be in, I would not
- 10:47Speaker 6: want him as my coach.
- 10:48Speaker 4: Yeah, that's all I would say. That just is what
- 10:50Speaker 4: it is. That just is what it is. There's no disrespect, right,
- 10:52Speaker 4: It's just the game, right playing. We all get graded. Yeah,
- 10:56Speaker 4: it's very interesting.
- 10:57Speaker 6: And uh, being at the combine or even at a
- 11:00Speaker 6: pro day will where the stresses the.
- 11:05Speaker 4: Shots a wild shot.
- 11:06Speaker 6: I'm just trying to bring you in the Why don't
- 11:08Speaker 6: be the guy that just talks the entire time when
- 11:10Speaker 6: you're doing your your combine or your skills. The stress
- 11:14Speaker 6: level that everybody has going into the forty then going
- 11:17Speaker 6: into the broad vertical, uh, short shuttle, three cone, all
- 11:21Speaker 6: that stuff like is so high. And then being able
- 11:24Speaker 6: to be ten eleven years removed from the situation and
- 11:27Speaker 6: kind of just walk out there and be chilling.
- 11:29Speaker 4: It is such a wild in like this mental warfare
- 11:33Speaker 4: in the moment because it's like, oh, this will be
- 11:35Speaker 4: trained for for the last like six to eight weeks. Yeah,
- 11:38Speaker 4: there will be ready for this one time that they
- 11:39Speaker 4: think though this will get us drafted higher, whereas in
- 11:42Speaker 4: reality they're just checking off making sure you run.
- 11:45Speaker 6: So I try to tell some of the Michian guys like,
- 11:47Speaker 6: there's a bunch of dudes. It was very It was
- 11:48Speaker 6: a very cool experience because after the first group finished
- 11:51Speaker 6: and obviously all their their stresses off their shoulders, a
- 11:54Speaker 6: bunch of them, I would say, like twenty dudes. I
- 11:56Speaker 6: came up at once and we're like the boys about
- 11:58Speaker 6: the boys, big fan of the pod uh me playing
- 12:01Speaker 6: and stuff like that. It was a very it was
- 12:02Speaker 6: very cool moment. Like one kid was like, yo, I
- 12:04Speaker 6: used to watch you growing up in elementary school. I thought,
- 12:07Speaker 6: what like elementary school? That's nuts, and so it's just cool.
- 12:12Speaker 6: It's cool to see those things. But those dudes are
- 12:14Speaker 6: just so focused. And then to be about the pot.
- 12:16Speaker 6: But I was talking to those guys then they're like,
- 12:18Speaker 6: I'm like, how'd you run?
- 12:19Speaker 4: And they're like you.
- 12:20Speaker 6: Know, hey, five two, And I'm like, good dude, Like
- 12:22Speaker 6: all you need to do in this situation is like
- 12:23Speaker 6: if you're ten's under a one eight five or whatever
- 12:26Speaker 6: the benchmark is, and you bench over this many times,
- 12:29Speaker 6: like you're just checking boxes, Like leave the dudes that
- 12:32Speaker 6: are freak athletes that are going to do the thing
- 12:33Speaker 6: like that's where they're gonna gain. And some guys might
- 12:36Speaker 6: do horrible and lose. But as long as you check
- 12:38Speaker 6: a box, it's not gonna hurt you.
- 12:39Speaker 4: Yeah, you're good to go form running. If whether he
- 12:42Speaker 4: ran a five nine or four six one, it doesn't
- 12:44Speaker 4: really it doesn't really matter. I think if Korm ran
- 12:47Speaker 4: a four nine, he'd be in big trouble. Four five
- 12:49Speaker 4: nine Oh yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, like a four five
- 12:51Speaker 4: nine versus four six one like that ultimately doesn't matter
- 12:54Speaker 4: that that is just like wanting your ego to write,
- 12:57Speaker 4: Oh I ran a four or five. I know.
- 12:58Speaker 6: Speaking of egos, dude, Luke McCaffrey outshining his brother Christian.
- 13:04Speaker 4: Edged him out, edged him out. He made my All
- 13:06Speaker 4: Combine Team. Did you really, McCaffrey, do you want to
- 13:09Speaker 4: give out your list now? Yeah?
- 13:10Speaker 5: I uh, oh weird, I have it pulled up.
- 13:13Speaker 4: Uh. Cole Bishop, he's on the list for the All
- 13:15Speaker 4: Combined Team. You got Luke McCaffrey, Peyton Wilson linebacker Brayden Fisk,
- 13:22Speaker 4: the d lineman out of Florida State, human human he
- 13:25Speaker 4: ran like a four to seven. Uh and then Frank
- 13:27Speaker 4: Crumb out of Wyoming, he had the mullet flowing. Those
- 13:30Speaker 4: guys right now are on my all combine list. Spencer
- 13:33Speaker 4: Radler I have written down. He's kind of a maybe
- 13:35Speaker 4: it kind of depends. I'll get into that though. I'm
- 13:38Speaker 4: trying to craft the blog right now. No, no, JJ
- 13:41Speaker 4: McCarthy on that.
- 13:41Speaker 5: Huh, JJ could possibly make it. So you're it's up there.
- 13:45Speaker 5: He's on the short list.
- 13:46Speaker 6: Yeah, it's on the it's you're making a list right now,
- 13:47Speaker 6: so you just get people a peek at what the
- 13:49Speaker 6: list would be on your blog that is coming out
- 13:51Speaker 6: and then I'm assuming this week.
- 13:53Speaker 4: Yeah, it'll come out this week today, which is Tuesday. Wow,
- 13:56Speaker 4: that's exciting stuff. Yeah.
- 13:57Speaker 6: JJ apparently blew everybody away in the combine the way
- 14:01Speaker 6: he was throwing the ball.
- 14:02Speaker 4: Yeah. Same with Spencer Radler about talking about how he
- 14:05Speaker 4: was how his footwork was, and uh, you know, because
- 14:09Speaker 4: a lot of it with quarterbacks, they say, is like
- 14:11Speaker 4: you know, you're used to throwing at whatever particular receiver
- 14:14Speaker 4: you want to. Like at PROD, you're gonna have your
- 14:15Speaker 4: guys running routes, so different receivers and different guys and
- 14:18Speaker 4: not really changing up your footwork and just dropping dimes.
- 14:21Speaker 4: I saw some highlights of JJ. He did look good.
- 14:23Speaker 6: Yeah, he was putting some zip on the ball. One
- 14:25Speaker 6: of the days that you're happy that JP is not here,
- 14:27Speaker 6: which is far and few between, is today because he
- 14:30Speaker 6: would have only things to say about Spencer Rattler.
- 14:33Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, JP is like everything is going exactly
- 14:37Speaker 4: according to what he said. Yeah, I wonder if which
- 14:39Speaker 4: right now he's stock is rising Ler, stock is rising.
- 14:43Speaker 6: One guy that this is up for you know, everybody
- 14:45Speaker 6: else to interpret. But I did not get a good
- 14:47Speaker 6: vibe from Caleb Williams throughout the Combine process. I know
- 14:54Speaker 6: a lot, a lot of backlass for the boy. He
- 14:56Speaker 6: essentially came to Combine for the free gear. In the interviews,
- 14:59Speaker 6: like he refused the only player in Combine history not
- 15:01Speaker 6: to do a medical review. Only dude didn't run, didn't throw.
- 15:06Speaker 6: His choosing enough to throw was Hey, there's a lot
- 15:07Speaker 6: of film on me. You can watch that in real action.
- 15:10Speaker 4: I don't need to do that. So he essentially went there.
- 15:12Speaker 6: And then I think he did one thing about sour
- 15:14Speaker 6: gummies like him and some ladies out there and tried
- 15:16Speaker 6: sour candy.
- 15:17Speaker 5: So that was essentially, you just went there and postured
- 15:19Speaker 5: on everybody.
- 15:20Speaker 4: Posture and everybody.
- 15:21Speaker 6: And he's obviously an extreme talent. It's incredible how talented
- 15:26Speaker 6: he is. But he's got this type of like I'm
- 15:29Speaker 6: better than you attitude that he's coming off as. Now,
- 15:31Speaker 6: if this is not the individual he is, he's more
- 15:33Speaker 6: than going to come on the bus and explain himself.
- 15:35Speaker 6: But what I saw from the short sample size I
- 15:38Speaker 6: got of watching a few interviews on him on my
- 15:39Speaker 6: way to the combine.
- 15:40Speaker 4: Was guy's very full of himself.
- 15:42Speaker 6: He's got some big time yes people in his camp
- 15:45Speaker 6: right now that are getting in his ear a little
- 15:47Speaker 6: too much.
- 15:48Speaker 4: He needs that Uh, yeah, he needs that who's usually
- 15:51Speaker 4: red flag? Who's that?
- 15:53Speaker 6: Marcus Aurelius always had a guy behind him saying you're
- 15:56Speaker 6: just a man.
- 15:57Speaker 4: Probably okay, so for those of you the Roman.
- 16:00Speaker 6: Empire, Marcus really has had a slave, actually who was
- 16:03Speaker 6: his only singular job was during his successes was to
- 16:06Speaker 6: sit there behind him and whisper in his ear, You're
- 16:08Speaker 6: just a man, to keep him humble. Went on to
- 16:10Speaker 6: being one of the greatest of all time. Yeah, Caleb
- 16:14Speaker 6: needs that man. He needs that guy right now to
- 16:16Speaker 6: be like hey, listen, you still because there's a there's
- 16:18Speaker 6: a point where people were saying he was saying he
- 16:21Speaker 6: wanted equity or a percentage of the team. He goes
- 16:24Speaker 6: to do we know if that's real that I don't
- 16:26Speaker 6: know if that's real, but based on watching the interviews
- 16:28Speaker 6: I did, I'm not gonna sit there and be like
- 16:30Speaker 6: I wouldn't be surprised at that at all. So to me,
- 16:33Speaker 6: not a great look. Like this is a game where
- 16:35Speaker 6: no one's bigger than the team, right the name on
- 16:37Speaker 6: the front is more important than the name on the
- 16:38Speaker 6: back type of attitude, and he is not displaying that
- 16:41Speaker 6: right now. It's sometimes it's better just to fall in line.
- 16:45Speaker 6: You can be different, you can go about your ways,
- 16:47Speaker 6: your ways differently. Everybody does eventually, but at this point
- 16:50Speaker 6: in your process, don't shoot yourself in the foot.
- 16:53Speaker 4: This guy to Joe Milton.
- 16:55Speaker 6: For those of you that aren't just watching the combine
- 16:57Speaker 6: with us right now, Tennessee cat through an absolute rocket.
- 17:01Speaker 6: Was it like seventy five yards of Jackie.
- 17:05Speaker 4: Zuka? It's it's well, yeah, I.
- 17:07Speaker 7: Mean that's if you know Joe Milton for two seconds,
- 17:10Speaker 7: that's his bread and butter is just arm strength Yeah,
- 17:13Speaker 7: long ball. If it's not accurate how he's going to
- 17:15Speaker 7: perform in the NFL. But yeah, that was where he
- 17:18Speaker 7: was gonna come out in. Joe for sure is just
- 17:20Speaker 7: chucking one out.
- 17:21Speaker 6: Yeah, you get him an Xavier Worthy on the same team,
- 17:23Speaker 6: you might make some fireworks happen there. Just hey, outrun everybody.
- 17:27Speaker 6: I'm gonna throw as far as I possibly can. You
- 17:28Speaker 6: guys hold up for two and a half seconds.
- 17:30Speaker 4: Joe, you could see is somebody you kind of start
- 17:33Speaker 4: to like a little bit more in the off season
- 17:34Speaker 4: process of the combine versus where he versus where he was,
- 17:39Speaker 4: Like if you run the tape with Tennessee because he
- 17:41Speaker 4: does have some accuracy issues. Yeah, that's just subjective. That's
- 17:45Speaker 4: just subjective ball from the boy witnessing watching ut over
- 17:48Speaker 4: the past year.
- 17:49Speaker 6: Another interesting note of the combine was there are what
- 17:53Speaker 6: a specimen right here?
- 17:54Speaker 4: Yeah, apartment just an incredible looking individual, like slow mon
- 17:58Speaker 4: is for you just like look up hair balancing. Yeah,
- 18:01Speaker 4: he's just a gorgeous man with the hair commercials in asap.
- 18:04Speaker 6: Yeah, he's got a head and shoulders coming up real soon.
- 18:06Speaker 4: Speaking up the Mattoner of the draft, people are saying, yeah, well,
- 18:10Speaker 4: let's hope not as far as looks and yeah yeah, yeah,
- 18:14Speaker 4: yeah yeah, I'm with that sex appeal. He's got it all,
- 18:17Speaker 4: he does, he does have it all.
- 18:18Speaker 6: That's Sam Hartman Hartman Hartford Hartman so hot right now
- 18:24Speaker 6: our guest today Troy palm Alla.
- 18:26Speaker 9: Right.
- 18:27Speaker 6: Sam needs to call Troy immediately and say, hey, let
- 18:30Speaker 6: me talk to head and shoulders, let me get on
- 18:31Speaker 6: those com Yeah yeah, I I need to say a
- 18:33Speaker 6: great great head of hair.
- 18:36Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 18:36Speaker 4: Like and going off of your Caleb Williams stuff too,
- 18:38Speaker 4: it's like, uh and look, everybody the way it trends
- 18:42Speaker 4: now in the combine, guys opt out. They don't participate
- 18:44Speaker 4: a whole lot, which is fine, Like, you totally get
- 18:46Speaker 4: that there. If anything, there's risk injury, like a better
- 18:49Speaker 4: forty time doesn't make or break you, so why do
- 18:52Speaker 4: all that stuff. But as far as opting out of
- 18:53Speaker 4: medical stuff and the interview process, like that is the
- 18:56Speaker 4: one time of the year we're literally all thirty two teams,
- 18:58Speaker 4: GM's front offices, coaches, everybody is in one building. So
- 19:02Speaker 4: to me, it's like, you want to you want to
- 19:04Speaker 4: show that competitive spirit in front of those guys. Yeah,
- 19:07Speaker 4: whether or not you're out there on the field, performing
- 19:08Speaker 4: like that could be whatever, like, yeah, you might be
- 19:10Speaker 4: the number one overall pick in the draft. But as
- 19:12Speaker 4: far as checking the boxes for medicals, shaking hands, like
- 19:14Speaker 4: doing all the things, and kind of looking like that competitor,
- 19:17Speaker 4: not only a competitor, but showing off like you know
- 19:19Speaker 4: your leadership in tangibles, right, you don't want to you
- 19:22Speaker 4: don't want to give off the the vibe of like
- 19:24Speaker 4: this is a massive me guy and this could be
- 19:26Speaker 4: a huge risk taking him this high.
- 19:28Speaker 6: Yeah, because before the season even started, it really turned
- 19:31Speaker 6: into this is what Caleb Williams year, he's the number
- 19:36Speaker 6: one overall pick. He should maybe sit out this final
- 19:38Speaker 6: year and be done. And then USC started to loose.
- 19:41Speaker 6: They were there were contenders at first, they started to lose.
- 19:43Speaker 6: He's found crying, he's doing press conferences saying I just
- 19:46Speaker 6: want to hug my dog and eat some skills or
- 19:47Speaker 6: some bullshit like that. Then it's all how he wants
- 19:50Speaker 6: the equity in the company. And so this year has
- 19:52Speaker 6: not been a great year for Caleb Williams as far
- 19:55Speaker 6: as from uh an opportunity to know that this guy
- 19:58Speaker 6: should be the one overall pick. Having the magnifying glass
- 20:00Speaker 6: on them and people now picking him apart for a
- 20:02Speaker 6: lot of reasons, like we are on the show right now,
- 20:04Speaker 6: so it might not be fair criticism. This is just
- 20:07Speaker 6: how it came off to me personally, is that this
- 20:09Speaker 6: guy's coming off as an eye guy. But back to Sam, dude,
- 20:12Speaker 6: let's talk about Sam and his beautiful Haircuse I know
- 20:14Speaker 6: there's one place he probably goes get his hair done.
- 20:15Speaker 5: It actually sure that, Yeah, this is where he goes.
- 20:18Speaker 6: He goes to sport Clips Haircuts. Dude, your hair may
- 20:20Speaker 6: grow fast, but after going to sport Clips Haircuts, you
- 20:23Speaker 6: you'll wish it grew even faster. That's because sport Clips
- 20:26Speaker 6: has the best seats in hair and that may or
- 20:29Speaker 6: may not be because they happen to be right in
- 20:31Speaker 6: front of TVs playing sports every day. We know, watching
- 20:34Speaker 6: sports while getting your haircut sure beats watching a reflection
- 20:38Speaker 6: while getting a haircut, which is why sport Clips every
- 20:40Speaker 6: day is clippers and curveballs, high tops and hail Mary's
- 20:43Speaker 6: and even waves and wickets. If you're into that kind
- 20:45Speaker 6: of thing. At sport Clips, you can check in with
- 20:48Speaker 6: the pros and men's hair and totally check out with
- 20:50Speaker 6: pure uninterrupted relaxation. So yeah, come watch endless streams of
- 20:54Speaker 6: sports on TV while getting an awesome haircut sport clips.
- 20:58Speaker 6: It's a game changer, Hartman, appreciate you asking us to
- 21:02Speaker 6: read that.
- 21:02Speaker 4: Read did you did you happen to see all the
- 21:05Speaker 4: Antonio Brown tweets over the weekend? I didn't. Yeah, so
- 21:08Speaker 4: he he tweeted. He actually had a funny tweet where
- 21:11Speaker 4: he got he got after Dave port and OI. He's
- 21:13Speaker 4: like Dave Portnoy and his minions defending Tom Brady hashtags
- 21:17Speaker 4: ct ESPN, which is pretty funny, like a well done
- 21:21Speaker 4: AI photograph of like crackers sitting at a saltine cracker
- 21:25Speaker 4: sitting at a computer sitting at computers writing blogs.
- 21:28Speaker 5: Because essentially, damn, I don't want to butcher his name.
- 21:32Speaker 4: But somebody wrote about the dynasty in defending essentially Tom Brady.
- 21:37Speaker 4: So I guess AB comes across the Yeah, okay, yeah,
- 21:43Speaker 4: and somebody's just like talking about Tom Brady, and I
- 21:45Speaker 4: guess AB sees it, and then I guess I just
- 21:47Speaker 4: assumes here's Dave Portnoy and his minions at CTESPN defending
- 21:52Speaker 4: Tom Brady, which is hilarious. But there's also a really
- 21:56Speaker 4: funny part of me that believes that uh Ab doesn't
- 22:00Speaker 4: know that there's a difference between barstool and ESPN. You
- 22:03Speaker 4: know what I mean, stay in media's all media, regardless
- 22:06Speaker 4: of whether he knows that or not.
- 22:08Speaker 6: It's a hilarious move to put CT in there when
- 22:11Speaker 6: everybody has come at a b for CTE and now
- 22:13Speaker 6: he's essentially reversing everything on a guy who's openly said
- 22:17Speaker 6: he's never been touching the face, even though he deserves
- 22:19Speaker 6: to be punching the face. Yeah, a Portnoy's never had
- 22:20Speaker 6: head traumas in his entire life, right right, And he's
- 22:23Speaker 6: using ct ESPN, which is also funny because the.
- 22:27Speaker 4: ESPN, Yeah, no, it's hilarious and he was on one
- 22:30Speaker 4: just over the weekend because obviously you wake up the
- 22:32Speaker 4: stoolies and wake up the barstool crowd, so he would
- 22:34Speaker 4: also feed into it. And you know, Ab, he's big
- 22:37Speaker 4: on the whole the uh oh he came Kaitlin Clark too,
- 22:40Speaker 4: arogressed to Kaitlin Clark on becoming an all time leading score.
- 22:45Speaker 5: Heat transition is not going the greatest.
- 22:48Speaker 4: I don't know it could be. I mean, in my
- 22:51Speaker 4: opinion that like if you if you're coming out. Obviously
- 22:54Speaker 4: there's some funny stuff, but yeah, being uh this uh
- 22:59Speaker 4: being verbally on offense like this in a negative hate way,
- 23:02Speaker 4: like he came at Shannon Sharp, like to me, if
- 23:05Speaker 4: everything is going well outside of the game that you
- 23:08Speaker 4: transitioned out of and chose to this transition out of,
- 23:11Speaker 4: if everything is going well, you'll see a good balance
- 23:14Speaker 4: if that is your style, like you'll see that. Okay,
- 23:16Speaker 4: he's doing solid. But nothing that comes out with ab
- 23:20Speaker 4: is ever that positive, right, any headline that comes out,
- 23:22Speaker 4: it's always him in trouble, not paying something, not paying
- 23:25Speaker 4: some bill, fucking somebody over.
- 23:27Speaker 6: He's in Dubai throwing his piece around, which might have
- 23:29Speaker 6: been a positive for him because he had a drake piece.
- 23:31Speaker 4: Yeah, massive, Yeah, he's just he's like in a public
- 23:35Speaker 4: pool break. Yeah, he's just seemed like probably on his
- 23:38Speaker 4: private jet. I wasn't looking too closely, but seemed like
- 23:40Speaker 4: he's on his private jet. It was definitely room.
- 23:42Speaker 6: I'll tell you right now, it was a private jet.
- 23:45Speaker 6: I looked very close. Yeah yeah, yeah.
- 23:47Speaker 4: So did Dave respond, Oh yeah, he said funny, it
- 23:51Speaker 4: is funny because that was hilarious.
- 23:54Speaker 5: I mean the saltine crackers.
- 23:57Speaker 6: Like, because if you get got like that, that's a
- 23:59Speaker 6: good guy. And it's kind of like if you have
- 24:01Speaker 6: the first shot and it's that good, there's really no
- 24:03Speaker 6: coming back from unless you have that absolute haymaker in.
- 24:05Speaker 4: Your back pocket. Yeah, So to just accept.
- 24:07Speaker 6: That that's a funny joke is even more right now,
- 24:11Speaker 6: I like that that's funny.
- 24:12Speaker 4: AB Yeah, dude, he just he is like Yeezy without
- 24:20Speaker 4: the genius, you know, see, without the genius, Like you.
- 24:23Speaker 6: Watched the way Kanye West operates and even with the
- 24:27Speaker 6: anti Semitic stuff and some of the crazy shit he said,
- 24:30Speaker 6: people still look at him and have clips about you know,
- 24:34Speaker 6: what's that what's that song that starts.
- 24:36Speaker 4: Thinking yes, that song?
- 24:41Speaker 6: Like there's people still to like guys breaking down how
- 24:44Speaker 6: that came up with that and how his work ethic
- 24:46Speaker 6: was and how he's such a genius when it comes
- 24:47Speaker 6: to hearing things musically, like even.
- 24:49Speaker 9: With all the bad ship, AB just has the bad ship.
- 24:53Speaker 6: Yeah and thinks he's a rapper because, uh, did you
- 24:56Speaker 6: see Kanye West's Super Bowl commercial shot on an iPhone
- 25:01Speaker 6: and it's him not even saying things clear like go
- 25:03Speaker 6: to yasy dot com, Why easy, why dot com spent
- 25:07Speaker 6: seven million dollars on that thirty second he's commercial money.
- 25:11Speaker 4: Do you know what you made off this? Twenty one
- 25:13Speaker 4: million dollars? No, twenty one.
- 25:15Speaker 6: Million dollars because he decided to go and do this.
- 25:18Speaker 6: He's in the back of a car and it looks
- 25:20Speaker 6: like a parking garage. No, no, no, that's outside. He's just
- 25:23Speaker 6: in a really cool truck.
- 25:25Speaker 7: So with Easy, it was like a designer brand to start, obviously,
- 25:29Speaker 7: and it was very expensive clothing.
- 25:30Speaker 4: And then they made all the.
- 25:31Speaker 7: Pieces twenty dollars. So then they sold twenty million dollars
- 25:36Speaker 7: worth of units or whatever stock because they dropped everything.
- 25:40Speaker 7: But yeah, that you gotta love an iPhone video super
- 25:43Speaker 7: Bowl commercial.
- 25:43Speaker 6: Super Bowl people put millions and millions of dollars into
- 25:46Speaker 6: their commercials and then pay the seven million dollars. He like,
- 25:50Speaker 6: that's a genius fucking move to do that. That is
- 25:53Speaker 6: incredibly smart to Kanye move. Yeah, I don't know bus
- 25:58Speaker 6: a couple of boys might do in a few years.
- 26:00Speaker 4: Yeah, I need you to go.
- 26:01Speaker 6: I need to subscribe to Busting with the Boys. Please
- 26:04Speaker 6: Easy save us.
- 26:05Speaker 4: All of our merch. Saint Patty's Day's coming, Go buy
- 26:07Speaker 4: it up. I did see years a million dollars. I
- 26:10Speaker 4: saw your little plug on Instagram.
- 26:12Speaker 6: Yeah, two hundred and how many degrees in the Redwood Sona.
- 26:17Speaker 4: Two hundred and eighty for eighty minutes straight? Yeah? Why'd
- 26:20Speaker 4: you do that? Is that a protocol that I don't
- 26:23Speaker 4: know about?
- 26:25Speaker 5: Are you being serious right now?
- 26:27Speaker 8: Dude?
- 26:27Speaker 4: I want you to tell the truth. Tell me how
- 26:29Speaker 4: you did it for that long. I don't need to
- 26:30Speaker 4: tell the truth. If you watch the video, then you
- 26:33Speaker 4: know that I'm joking. Cet literally in the beginning, I
- 26:39Speaker 4: had warning, do not take this sa on a protocol
- 26:43Speaker 4: seriously or something like that. Then the next side is
- 26:45Speaker 4: the next slide said again, please do not take this.
- 26:48Speaker 4: I just saw that it and then but everything else
- 26:52Speaker 4: is true, and it's me shouting out like, hey, kiss me,
- 26:55Speaker 4: I'm a boy.
- 26:56Speaker 5: You'll get our merch.
- 26:58Speaker 6: So I didn't read. I didn't read the I didn't
- 26:59Speaker 6: read the one. I was the kid that watched the
- 27:02Speaker 6: Jackass shows. And when John Knoxville was doing the read
- 27:04Speaker 6: over a warning please do not perform these stunts, I
- 27:06Speaker 6: didn't listen.
- 27:07Speaker 4: Hey, come on, man, God damn it. Two hundred and
- 27:10Speaker 4: eighty degrees eighty minutes.
- 27:12Speaker 6: I was like, oh my god, you're dead.
- 27:14Speaker 5: You're dead.
- 27:14Speaker 4: You're dead.
- 27:15Speaker 6: I thought my boy is a superhuman. For a second,
- 27:19Speaker 6: I thought you were superhuman. Will I thought you were
- 27:21Speaker 6: a superman.
- 27:23Speaker 4: Yeah. Probably you're brising, Like, oh my god, how in
- 27:26Speaker 4: the fuck he's gotta be lying?
- 27:27Speaker 10: Right?
- 27:28Speaker 6: I should have texted you before, because I really thought
- 27:29Speaker 6: my head, like, I don't know about that protocol. I
- 27:32Speaker 6: gotta start doing lily to myself. I might do that tomorrow.
- 27:35Speaker 4: Oh we had this conversation. I'd be dead. Oh I know. Yeah, Well,
- 27:38Speaker 4: I'm gonna fucking now. I gotta beat it. You're just
- 27:41Speaker 4: constantly throwing water on the heater the whole time. How
- 27:44Speaker 4: do I get it up to eighty just dying, burning
- 27:47Speaker 4: lily turning into a raisin? Yeah, dude, So thank god
- 27:50Speaker 4: you saved my life there, all right?
- 27:51Speaker 7: Cool little slow cuve brisket at a lower temperature than that.
- 27:57Speaker 4: God.
- 28:00Speaker 5: Oh, I love you, brother.
- 28:01Speaker 4: I love you too. I love you, bro. God Damn,
- 28:03Speaker 4: it's tough to be this dumb sometimes.
- 28:05Speaker 5: Hey, but guess what we're going to Miami this week?
- 28:07Speaker 6: Oh yeah, we are, for those of you, all the
- 28:09Speaker 6: boys going to South Beach. Yeah, We're going to fucking
- 28:11Speaker 6: South Beach, Dude, UFC two ninety nine is upon us now.
- 28:16Speaker 6: Pretty cool opportunity that Senor Hunter has graced us with.
- 28:21Speaker 6: Do you want to tell them the planet? Just want
- 28:22Speaker 6: to let him know that something's coming out on Friday Thursday?
- 28:25Speaker 5: Uh, we can tease it.
- 28:28Speaker 4: Tease it, you tease. So the boys will be in
- 28:31Speaker 4: Miami starting on Wednesday. It will be boots on the
- 28:34Speaker 4: ground at the UFC two ninety nine press conference. The
- 28:37Speaker 4: way hends, we're gonna be doing some fun stuff behind
- 28:40Speaker 4: the scenes with the UFC. Potentially there's some rumors out
- 28:44Speaker 4: there that we might be having some conversations with the
- 28:46Speaker 4: big dogs on the card.
- 28:47Speaker 5: That is yet to be determined.
- 28:49Speaker 4: However, then we will also be at UFC two ninety nine,
- 28:53Speaker 4: which I am stoked about, like everybody talks about the
- 28:56Speaker 4: Miami like going like the Miami card is usually one
- 28:58Speaker 4: of the biggest cards of the year, like top four.
- 29:00Speaker 4: W uh. So it'll be sick to be there, but
- 29:02Speaker 4: we will be there. We'll be making some content, we
- 29:04Speaker 4: will be having some fun. All thanks to the boys
- 29:06Speaker 4: at UFC. Dana Hunter, we appreciate it. We gotta run
- 29:11Speaker 4: ten miles. I don't know.
- 29:13Speaker 6: I can't run ten miles. I tried to explain Hunter
- 29:16Speaker 6: that on the funt I cannot. I literally my knee
- 29:18Speaker 6: won't let me run.
- 29:19Speaker 4: He doesn't deviate for me, like, oh ten miles.
- 29:21Speaker 6: Yeah, and you're just like one.
- 29:23Speaker 4: He's like Max Crosby, did it, I know, into your shoes. Yeah,
- 29:28Speaker 4: which is a different animal.
- 29:30Speaker 6: Yeah, but you don't got to waste money like that Max.
- 29:32Speaker 4: He loves to you know what I mean. It's designer everything,
- 29:35Speaker 4: his designer everything for him. Next, uh, let's get we'll
- 29:38Speaker 4: get some new ones. Yeah.
- 29:39Speaker 6: Those I only warn once. He was like Derek Henry
- 29:41Speaker 6: three years ago. He only wears a suit once. Right, Yeah,
- 29:44Speaker 6: but yeah, Miami's gonna be sick. I've only been to
- 29:46Speaker 6: Miami to play and that's it. Have you ever spent
- 29:49Speaker 6: time in Miami?
- 29:51Speaker 4: Oh? We did really for Barschall when we first with Barschool.
- 29:54Speaker 5: Yeah, but doesn't say like not really that that's where
- 29:58Speaker 5: we signed.
- 29:58Speaker 4: But even then, like it's not we spent time there,
- 30:01Speaker 4: Like we're like you're like we're like bouncing around and stuff. Sorry,
- 30:04Speaker 4: my back is fucking killing still from that they combine
- 30:07Speaker 4: last week, We'll get it feels like a knife is
- 30:09Speaker 4: in my lower lumbar right now, my in between my
- 30:11Speaker 4: l four now massage real quick. Sure, I just I
- 30:15Speaker 4: just I just shouldn't. We're heard of the guy next week,
- 30:18Speaker 4: next Monday, Next Monday. We were, Oh, you're starting with
- 30:23Speaker 4: a guy.
- 30:23Speaker 5: I'm starting with a guy next week.
- 30:24Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah, because we have to get this correct. This
- 30:27Speaker 4: there's no plasure. It's like every time you do an
- 30:29Speaker 4: active thing, this happens. Yeah. And I need you right
- 30:33Speaker 4: for Beer Games World Championship. Oh yeah, I mean I'll
- 30:36Speaker 4: be ready there like I would have again. I'll have
- 30:38Speaker 4: anti flumberers and everything else. Cooking. That's the problem is,
- 30:41Speaker 4: I'm master of pain. Goes as hard as fucking possible,
- 30:43Speaker 4: and then I can't move.
- 30:44Speaker 6: Yeah, but you're a gamer, dude, that's what you do. Yeah,
- 30:47Speaker 6: that's the kind of guy you get with Will Compton.
- 30:49Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 30:52Speaker 5: And if for.
- 30:53Speaker 6: Those of you watching on social media, we have been
- 30:55Speaker 6: training for Beer Olympics.

- 30:57Speaker 6: It's good to see we actually have the number one
- 30:58Speaker 6: spot right now and flip cup and the shot we do.
- 31:00Speaker 5: We we should probably get a set in today, a
- 31:02Speaker 5: couple sets.
- 31:02Speaker 4: In there, Yeah, no question.

- 31:17Speaker 6: only rumors at this point. But if we happen to

- 33:48Speaker 4: data guy. He seems to have like the prop bets
- 33:50Speaker 4: and the parlays or the units. Hey, this the amount
- 33:54Speaker 4: of units you need to put on this game. So
- 33:56Speaker 4: you can kind of just.
- 33:56Speaker 5: Follow along and be like, all right, I'm gonna rock with.
- 33:58Speaker 4: Him, because we'll be out there for March Madness. We
- 34:01Speaker 4: got to get ready to go, Like, no, it's gonna
- 34:03Speaker 4: be a big deal. It's gonna be I think Nebraska
- 34:05Speaker 4: is gonna get in. Really yeah, that's who we're going
- 34:08Speaker 4: for then. But I think Nebraska is gonna get in
- 34:11Speaker 4: the fucking dance.
- 34:12Speaker 6: I think there's a small chance that Michigan gets in
- 34:13Speaker 6: two is there. I think there's still I think they're
- 34:16Speaker 6: still hungover from the from the national championship. Boys are
- 34:19Speaker 6: still hungover from winning a national championship.
- 34:23Speaker 4: In football basketball team? Yeah hungover, yeah time. Yeah, this
- 34:26Speaker 4: would be the first appearance Nebraska's ever had, I think
- 34:29Speaker 4: in the tournament? Would you rather have maybe to look
- 34:31Speaker 4: it up, please.
- 34:31Speaker 5: Fact check that so I don't. I'm not saying.
- 34:33Speaker 4: I know since I've known about Nebraska.
- 34:35Speaker 6: Would you rather have your school win the national championship
- 34:39Speaker 6: in football and nothing else? Or win every other championship
- 34:42Speaker 6: and be horrible at football?
- 34:44Speaker 4: As a football as a football player, I want to
- 34:46Speaker 4: win the football. I want to win the Natty as
- 34:49Speaker 4: a fan now as you're sitting here, oh, as a fan. Now,
- 34:52Speaker 4: unfortunately you were incorrect.
- 34:54Speaker 7: But the good news is you guys have any tournament?
- 34:59Speaker 4: Oh broad Nebraska's plaid twenty six postseason? Wait wait wait
- 35:04Speaker 4: it says seven seven bits to the NCAA tournament. Okay, seven, okay.
- 35:11Speaker 5: Twenty six, that's be eight. When's the most recent time?
- 35:18Speaker 4: Are you guys good when you're in college? No? I
- 35:22Speaker 4: don't think so. Twenty thirteen? Yeah?
- 35:26Speaker 5: Fuck right when I left.
- 35:28Speaker 4: I was there, right when I Yeah, my next that
- 35:31Speaker 4: next year? All right, so one time since I had
- 35:34Speaker 4: known about Nebraska.
- 35:36Speaker 6: But this will be massive, we big, we should be
- 35:39Speaker 6: in Lincoln. Well, I guess the tournam is not in Lincoln.
- 35:43Speaker 4: We sound so stupid the college and basketball. Either way,
- 35:46Speaker 4: we got to get right for March madis because we're
- 35:48Speaker 4: going to bar Partner. Yeah has tag DK Partner. We're
- 35:51Speaker 4: going into Barcelas Q in Chicago. We're riding with the boys.
- 35:54Speaker 6: I'm going to responsibly get after it.
- 35:56Speaker 4: Yeah. Two days, yea, yeah, like more March nineteenth through
- 36:01Speaker 4: twenty second or something like that. Twenty seconds.
- 36:05Speaker 5: It's like that week.
- 36:06Speaker 4: Yeah, Jackie, we gotta go to Vegas the twenty first.
- 36:12Speaker 4: Aren't you just doing like a family trip in Vegas?
- 36:14Speaker 6: Yeah, but I turned it into a gambling.
- 36:17Speaker 4: I gotta work too. Yeah.
- 36:18Speaker 7: Yeah, the first round March twenty first to the twenty
- 36:21Speaker 7: second of the NCAA tournament, and then second round twenty
- 36:24Speaker 7: third to the twenty fourth, sweet sixteen, twenty eighth and
- 36:27Speaker 7: twenty ninth, let's go and so on.
- 36:29Speaker 4: So yeah, I'm excited pop my cherry with March Madness
- 36:34Speaker 4: and in the gambling responding me a fun time.
- 36:36Speaker 10: Are we gonna make a bracket and like throughout the
- 36:39Speaker 10: shop and then there should be like a punishment or
- 36:41Speaker 10: like a winner.
- 36:42Speaker 4: Yeah, that's probably as likely as our white Elephant.
- 36:44Speaker 7: No, that one's easy though, because we'll just print it
- 36:46Speaker 7: off and all you have to do is just literally
- 36:47Speaker 7: fill it out and then you turn it in like
- 36:49Speaker 7: an assignment.
- 36:50Speaker 4: Yeah, we we do have to do that. I'll take
- 36:53Speaker 4: charge of it and I'll get the brackets.
- 36:55Speaker 5: Okay, all right, football commissioner.
- 36:57Speaker 4: I thought you did a good job until you resigned. Well, hey,
- 37:01Speaker 4: I'll do it. I'll do it. You're gonna do it,
- 37:03Speaker 4: I'll do it, okay, all right.
- 37:05Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, anytime of brackets and play Willie is about it.
- 37:08Speaker 5: Yeah, we'll figure it out.
- 37:11Speaker 4: Uh, you can be you can be my guy right
- 37:14Speaker 4: next to you can be my hand guy in the chair.
- 37:15Speaker 5: Yeah, my right, my right hand.
- 37:18Speaker 4: Yeah. I can't wait to see that fail. Oh yeah,
- 37:21Speaker 4: let's let's get out. We're in. We're in, We're in.
- 37:23Speaker 4: It'll get done right after this.
- 37:25Speaker 6: Speaking of other things that I've gotten done, we have
- 37:28Speaker 6: restarted NCA fourteen in the shop.
- 37:30Speaker 4: Yeah, right now, it's one to one.
- 37:32Speaker 6: Me vers well, we both have victories at our opponents stadiums.
- 37:38Speaker 6: But you just dumb me though. You figured out how
- 37:39Speaker 6: to play the game in the second game.
- 37:40Speaker 5: Yeah, I started to I started to get a little.
- 37:42Speaker 4: More to remember. Yeah, yeah, yeah, because man, there'll be
- 37:45Speaker 4: times I'm like, God, damn it, how do I how
- 37:47Speaker 4: do I stop that? And then I'm just like trying
- 37:49Speaker 4: to dabble with all the different like play calls. And
- 37:51Speaker 4: then I'm like, Okay, this is what I used to do.
- 37:53Speaker 4: This is what I used to do. So I got
- 37:55Speaker 4: a little settled in comfortable. Yeah, I got a little
- 37:57Speaker 4: settled in the offense. I feel very comfortable. Okay, run
- 37:59Speaker 4: the all, use your play action.
- 38:01Speaker 6: Like I'm I legitimately think to myself, you know what
- 38:04Speaker 6: you're doing on this end? When defense hit, I just
- 38:06Speaker 6: kind of become the defensive end and like run into
- 38:08Speaker 6: the tackle because I don't know.
- 38:10Speaker 4: I don't know how to pick. I don't know how
- 38:11Speaker 4: do you pick? Is it? Why? Why?
- 38:13Speaker 8: Defense?
- 38:13Speaker 6: Is also impossible that no Will had four picks on
- 38:16Speaker 6: me last game and two of them are users.
- 38:18Speaker 10: Well yeah, if you're if you use her, if you
- 38:21Speaker 10: use her, if you use her the entire time, you're
- 38:23Speaker 10: gonna have awer.
- 38:25Speaker 4: We've gotta stream that. It's so much fun.
- 38:28Speaker 8: Y'all. Don't want to play me, That's all I'm saying.
- 38:30Speaker 5: All right, we'll get some stuff.
- 38:31Speaker 4: Who do you play?
- 38:34Speaker 6: With I'll play with anybody, all right, you can be
- 38:36Speaker 6: acron You would have to.
- 38:38Speaker 4: Play with Ohio State. Yeah, that's not a school.
- 38:42Speaker 8: Do you want me to play with Ohio State?
- 38:43Speaker 4: Yeah, I play with Ohio State States. Really, I know,
- 38:46Speaker 4: I know.
- 38:47Speaker 5: Well, is that that might be a Jones.
- 38:50Speaker 4: Yeah, it's Braxton Miller in fourteen. Yeah, I thought he
- 38:56Speaker 4: was my year.
- 38:57Speaker 6: Braxton Miller was a I think he was my year.
- 39:01Speaker 4: Nasty Filthy was Tennessee. Good then Jack justin thirteen fourteen, No.
- 39:09Speaker 7: No tot for Jack freshman year of college and it
- 39:14Speaker 7: was hell on the Butcher Jones. That was the start
- 39:17Speaker 7: of the Butch Jones era recruiting. We were the best
- 39:19Speaker 7: in the country actually playing ball. It was a dumpster fire.
- 39:24Speaker 4: But yeah, I love it. Yeah, all right, this yeah'll
- 39:26Speaker 4: be fun.
- 39:27Speaker 7: I think fourteen is the best inca there's been that one.
- 39:31Speaker 6: Without a doubt, it's number one. We should also make
- 39:33Speaker 6: a little dynasty too, Yeah, and to create a player
- 39:35Speaker 6: that we just have a community.
- 39:36Speaker 7: Guy my brother guys in a Madden franchise and they
- 39:41Speaker 7: played for like a decade where like you literally play
- 39:43Speaker 7: out an entire season and it's like by the week,
- 39:46Speaker 7: so each week you play one singular game against one
- 39:49Speaker 7: guy in like of thirty two teams, so.
- 39:52Speaker 4: Then you got to do all the front off of
- 39:53Speaker 4: stuff up until the next week. It's awesome.
- 39:55Speaker 7: So we should definitely invest in some kind of franchise mode.
- 39:58Speaker 4: Because we got to get ready for college football to
- 40:00Speaker 4: and not to mention, little Birdie told me we might
- 40:03Speaker 4: be in the game serious like Ultimate Team, like on
- 40:06Speaker 4: in the Ultimate Team. Oh yeah, you've Will, I'm well,
- 40:10Speaker 4: I mean yeah, college. Hey, listen, now, your boy was
- 40:12Speaker 4: an eighty nine I believe.
- 40:14Speaker 5: I think I honestly think that player.
- 40:16Speaker 4: I honestly think Will was higher rated than me in
- 40:18Speaker 4: the game.
- 40:18Speaker 8: I thought you were in the night like Lott nineteen
- 40:20Speaker 8: n you we found.
- 40:23Speaker 4: You don't know what I was. I think I was
- 40:24Speaker 4: legit in eighty seven.
- 40:25Speaker 8: You found out you were a team captain.
- 40:26Speaker 4: Though, Yeah, I could have told you that.
- 40:28Speaker 8: Like you went out for the like the coin toss.
- 40:31Speaker 6: I know, but I could have told you, Hey, my
- 40:32Speaker 6: senior year, I was a captain.
- 40:34Speaker 8: Well I know that, but like, and I've had a.
- 40:36Speaker 6: Lot of votes in my junior year as well. If
- 40:39Speaker 6: you're wondering, but back to that, Yeah, I think we're
- 40:42Speaker 6: going to be in it. Who told you that my
- 40:45Speaker 6: boy whisper it Blake Lawrence from Open Doors.
- 40:50Speaker 4: Yeah, because they do a lot of work with the
- 40:52Speaker 4: nc OH, which, by the way, this would actually be
- 40:55Speaker 4: some knowledge that we're aware of. So the NCAA, you
- 40:59Speaker 4: know how they're give and all the kids like six
- 41:01Speaker 4: hundred bucks in a free game, and that was like
- 41:02Speaker 4: a big like viral, everybody kind of shitting on it
- 41:04Speaker 4: talking about it. There's like I would take that. There's
- 41:07Speaker 4: like a lot of high end like probably the top
- 41:09Speaker 4: one hundred guys, like they're getting really good deals, like
- 41:11Speaker 4: they're they're becoming like ambassadors of the game.
- 41:13Speaker 5: So guys are getting paid. It's just not all.
- 41:17Speaker 4: Your guys, Like if you're the bottom on the like
- 41:19Speaker 4: depth chart, you're still getting your six hundred and the
- 41:21Speaker 4: free game opting in. But ultimately, like all the big
- 41:24Speaker 4: dogs are gonna be like ambassadors and getting like well
- 41:26Speaker 4: paid more pay than that.
- 41:27Speaker 6: I think the entry fee is six hundred dollars and
- 41:29Speaker 6: or the jury get is six hundred dollars.
- 41:31Speaker 4: In the free game. Yeah, and ultimately nobody like say
- 41:33Speaker 4: you're a cat who say middle of the road and
- 41:36Speaker 4: you like opt out because you feel like you should
- 41:37Speaker 4: get more money. Like the fans don't give a shit.
- 41:40Speaker 5: Like you you like, we we love the game and.
- 41:42Speaker 4: It's just a uh left tackle number seventy seven. Yeah
- 41:46Speaker 4: you know what I mean. You just know who they are,
- 41:47Speaker 4: like no one know, yeah exactly if you opt in
- 41:50Speaker 4: or out, like all you need is probably not even need.
- 41:52Speaker 4: But it's cool. Really don't need anybody to be in it.
- 41:55Speaker 4: But it's cool if you got like their names going it.
- 41:58Speaker 4: But if you opt out like no one can, no
- 42:00Speaker 4: one gives a shit. If you offer, no one gives
- 42:01Speaker 4: a shit. Thing too.
- 42:02Speaker 6: Is like back back in our day when you got
- 42:05Speaker 6: the game, knowing that you were in the game, whether
- 42:07Speaker 6: your name was on the back or not, was the
- 42:09Speaker 6: coolest feeling in the world.
- 42:10Speaker 4: The sickest. Remember when you came in your freshman year
- 42:12Speaker 4: and you're like, like, I Richard in my freshman year.
- 42:14Speaker 4: So there's like, man, am I gonna be in the game?
- 42:15Speaker 4: Like am I gonna get And then you see yourself
- 42:17Speaker 4: down there at sixty something seventy or who knows what
- 42:20Speaker 4: overall is for just like that's me, dude two fifty four.
- 42:22Speaker 6: Yeah, but it's like you, I'm in the fucking video
- 42:25Speaker 6: game game right now and now like six hundred bucks.
- 42:28Speaker 4: Dude, it's a terrible.
- 42:29Speaker 6: Business than I'm sure a bunch of people saying you
- 42:30Speaker 6: can get more. Just do it cause you're gonna look
- 42:33Speaker 6: back in ten years and if you do the shit
- 42:34Speaker 6: you're supposed to do, you'll make a lot of money anyway.
- 42:36Speaker 6: But that is coolest fuck because who knows when NC
- 42:39Speaker 6: is gonna go away again?
- 42:40Speaker 5: Yeah, I actually think all the kids, I don't think.
- 42:42Speaker 4: I don't even know if players are actually bitching. I
- 42:44Speaker 4: think it's just Williams Wood. I think it's a lot
- 42:46Speaker 4: of the fans out there and people just making a
- 42:49Speaker 4: conversation out of nothing. Yeah, that's probably a fair point.
- 42:52Speaker 6: I just think it's so cool and it's such like
- 42:54Speaker 6: a an honor in.
- 42:56Speaker 4: Your Yeah, and you were like, you get to be
- 42:58Speaker 4: part of the come back of college football the video
- 43:02Speaker 4: game College Football twenty five is that's what they're calling it, right.
- 43:05Speaker 6: College Football twenty Yeah, right NCA Oh really Yeah, as
- 43:10Speaker 6: long as the game is as simple as it was
- 43:12Speaker 6: in fourteen, anything like that, it can't be Madden's close
- 43:16Speaker 6: to Madden is awful. It's not a fun game to play.
- 43:19Speaker 6: My favorite thing to do in the NCAA is just
- 43:21Speaker 6: to create the player and like be a ninety nine.
- 43:22Speaker 6: Like that's my favorite thing to do. The actual playing
- 43:25Speaker 6: the game. I could, you know, I have fun because
- 43:26Speaker 6: it were the boys and stuff like that. But that's
- 43:28Speaker 6: like my bread and butter, and I try to do
- 43:30Speaker 6: that in Madden and it was miserable. There's too much
- 43:33Speaker 6: like technical you have to release at a certain point.
- 43:35Speaker 6: It's like that shit's lame. Just make it easy.
- 43:38Speaker 4: Way. They're trying to get way too realistic about it,
- 43:41Speaker 4: way too realistic.
- 43:41Speaker 6: It's like, this is a video game for a reason. Yeah,
- 43:44Speaker 6: just like NFL Blitz, Like yeah, obviously it's like we're
- 43:47Speaker 6: just tossing the ball left and right and dudes are
- 43:49Speaker 6: throwing it and slamming guys in the round. But it's
- 43:51Speaker 6: simple and it's fun and you can play it for hours. Yeah,
- 43:54Speaker 6: that's a good part about it.
- 43:55Speaker 4: How we can do a dynasty to where all one
- 43:57Speaker 4: hundred and thirty two teams could be accounted for run
- 44:00Speaker 4: like a league wide bust in dynasty, Like you have
- 44:03Speaker 4: to play with your team. You get a fan or
- 44:05Speaker 4: a player from every team to be represented. You maybe
- 44:08Speaker 4: go once a week where hey, you have to have
- 44:10Speaker 4: your game in by Tuesday, and just if it's not simulated,
- 44:17Speaker 4: jump in. Hey it's getting simulated league white email or something.
- 44:20Speaker 5: Who knows.
- 44:21Speaker 6: See that would be sweet, except for that's what I
- 44:23Speaker 6: would buy into for four or five weeks, and then
- 44:25Speaker 6: I would slowly peter off and not do well. This
- 44:28Speaker 6: is the first year I took fantasy football seriously and
- 44:30Speaker 6: that was a struggle for me.
- 44:32Speaker 4: Yeah, champion, but still a struggle.
- 44:36Speaker 6: No asterisk I have this round as tik All you
- 44:40Speaker 6: guys are just losers whining.
- 44:42Speaker 4: But either way, the show goes on even if you
- 44:44Speaker 4: fizzled out, and then the next year we did just
- 44:45Speaker 4: have to cut you. Yep, there's hey, we need somebody
- 44:48Speaker 4: to come in to represent Michigan. Yeah, Lake Korm you
- 44:53Speaker 4: love Blake.
- 44:54Speaker 6: You really do love Blake so much.
- 44:55Speaker 4: I like I like him a lot.
- 44:56Speaker 10: Man.
- 44:56Speaker 4: I hope he fucking crushes it. I hope he does too.
- 44:58Speaker 4: I hope he goes to j Yeah. All those boys
- 45:02Speaker 4: are good dudes.
- 45:02Speaker 6: There was I don't was there any and you can
- 45:04Speaker 6: just say yes, I want to ask your name. Was
- 45:05Speaker 6: there was there anybody guy in Michigan that we were
- 45:07Speaker 6: around here? Like I have a bad feeling with this guy.
- 45:09Speaker 4: No, I mean no. But also when one cat who
- 45:13Speaker 4: jumped in the bushes, who was a yeah, who was
- 45:15Speaker 4: just a maniac.
- 45:16Speaker 5: He was the pass rusher, the d n.
- 45:18Speaker 6: Yeah, you don't like I said, we don't let to
- 45:19Speaker 6: say the names. Yeah, number seventeen.
- 45:22Speaker 4: But that's not like I don't mess with him. That's
- 45:24Speaker 4: like a oh, hopefully everything he stays on the street,
- 45:27Speaker 4: and well you will.
- 45:27Speaker 6: You saw that night was me that was like to
- 45:31Speaker 6: it like no joke to a tea. I was like,
- 45:33Speaker 6: I was looking as I was walking and watching him
- 45:35Speaker 6: sprint by me and jump into a bush. I was like,
- 45:37Speaker 6: it's a young tale of the one.
- 45:38Speaker 4: Hopefully he finds his tailing.
- 45:39Speaker 6: Hopefully he finds his tailor, you know what I mean,
- 45:41Speaker 6: that's all. That's the only thing that can He finds
- 45:43Speaker 6: the right people. Yeah, yes, exactly. Hopefully it's a nice
- 45:46Speaker 6: therapist he figures that out. Listen, brother, we'll get the
- 45:49Speaker 6: mommy daddy issues out of the way in a little bit.
- 45:50Speaker 6: You won't be all right. Yeah, but yeah, dude.
- 45:53Speaker 9: I would love.
- 45:54Speaker 6: I'm really gonna buy in and uh college for both
- 45:57Speaker 6: twenty five, I really am. I'm excited for that it's
- 46:00Speaker 6: gonna be such a fun time.
- 46:02Speaker 5: We go in the shoutout no free shoutouts since we're
- 46:04Speaker 5: on the positive vibes right now.
- 46:05Speaker 4: Yeah, I'll do that absolutely. Start off.
- 46:08Speaker 10: Starts off, Mitch, all right, my shoutow no if you
- 46:12Speaker 10: shout out this week Uh kind of it stays in
- 46:15Speaker 10: the sports world. But this past weekend and like kind
- 46:18Speaker 10: of like Thursday and Friday, there's this one dude on
- 46:21Speaker 10: the New York Rangers. He's this young cat and he
- 46:26Speaker 10: is just fighting everybody on every team who's like just
- 46:31Speaker 10: known as being the fighters. And I think it is
- 46:34Speaker 10: so sick that in the NHL you can just square
- 46:37Speaker 10: up with somebody and be like, all right, we're doing this,
- 46:40Speaker 10: and like they're just so electric. So my shodow, no
- 46:44Speaker 10: ifree shout out goes to the ability to fight in
- 46:47Speaker 10: the NHL.
- 46:48Speaker 4: All right, it's a good little shout out because that
- 46:51Speaker 4: is sick that they get to do that.
- 46:52Speaker 6: It's a cool thing too, because the NHL is like
- 46:54Speaker 6: a gentleman's game, Like the way everyone operates. There's like
- 46:58Speaker 6: rules within the rules that people have to follow and
- 46:59Speaker 6: stuf like that, and to be able to settle a
- 47:01Speaker 6: dispute that way is so cool to me.
- 47:04Speaker 5: I did.
- 47:05Speaker 6: I did have a tweet one time that was like,
- 47:06Speaker 6: I think it was like twenty sixteen, seventeen. I was like,
- 47:08Speaker 6: they should let NFL players do that knowing good and well,
- 47:12Speaker 6: that's a terrible idea, but that well.
- 47:13Speaker 4: I think it's a bad decision on the player's part
- 47:15Speaker 4: because the thing about NHL is everybody plays, so you
- 47:19Speaker 4: get breaks. Yeah, no matter what, you get breaks, Like
- 47:21Speaker 4: say you're in the middle of a drive and you
- 47:23Speaker 4: just start squaring up and it's fourth quarter, like you're
- 47:27Speaker 4: exhausting yourself, Like why even right?
- 47:30Speaker 6: But it also it's also different because hockey there's times
- 47:34Speaker 6: and places to get in a fight. Like you know,
- 47:36Speaker 6: if it's the fourth quarter or the third period, close game,
- 47:39Speaker 6: two to one type of situation, there's no fighting even
- 47:41Speaker 6: if one of the worst things happen, because you just
- 47:44Speaker 6: you know what that stake is the winner, the winner
- 47:47Speaker 6: loss calumn. So like if it's first quarter, you're down
- 47:50Speaker 6: by one, you need the boys to get some juice, Hey,
- 47:52Speaker 6: com go in there, take out twenty three.
- 47:55Speaker 4: Yeah, you'd almost need a you'd almost just need a
- 47:57Speaker 4: guy on the bet coming off the bench.
- 47:58Speaker 5: Yeah, some coke out well, go in. You're gonna go in.
- 48:01Speaker 4: For a couple of plays. Yeah, make sure it's first
- 48:03Speaker 4: down where they're probably gonna run the ball, right, smart good.
- 48:06Speaker 6: Somebody fights. There's not a penalty. They're offsetting penalties. Those
- 48:08Speaker 6: guys just go in the box for a little bit.
- 48:10Speaker 6: So it just goes back to first and ten and
- 48:12Speaker 6: then a bunch of guys can of just grab each
- 48:13Speaker 6: other and hold each other while these two legits square off.
- 48:16Speaker 4: Yeah, but knowing that the mentality can be that like
- 48:19Speaker 4: guys like you have lost your composure. Oh no, I
- 48:23Speaker 4: mean you would have, yeah, but you take your helmet off.
- 48:27Speaker 4: Then you just breaking hands really easily. Well, there's a
- 48:31Speaker 4: there's an art. There's an art of fighting with helmets on.
- 48:34Speaker 6: Right, it's a you have to grab the face mask,
- 48:36Speaker 6: turn it and then its throat, it's chin, its throat.
- 48:40Speaker 6: That's what you gotta do. If you go punch somebody
- 48:41Speaker 6: in the helmet, you're you're new at this and you're
- 48:44Speaker 6: just gonna hurt yourself more than the other person. But
- 48:46Speaker 6: there's a quick little that's a little move there that
- 48:49Speaker 6: for those of you who want to get in a
- 48:50Speaker 6: football fight, that one's free.
- 48:52Speaker 5: Aaron Donald just rips the helmet off and beats you
- 48:54Speaker 5: with them.
- 48:54Speaker 6: Yes, yeah, Miles Garrett, Yeah yeah yeah, uses them as legit.
- 48:58Speaker 5: We so you're trying to get into think hockey.
- 49:02Speaker 6: Hockey guys go, they get their scrums or whatever, and
- 49:04Speaker 6: they move on. In football, if you get in a
- 49:07Speaker 6: fight that I think that's not over. Whoever lost, it's
- 49:10Speaker 6: not over for them ever. Yeah, they're hunting you down.
- 49:12Speaker 6: Williams grabbed you, man, it's over.
- 49:17Speaker 4: But I would like, I wouldn't even really shit talk
- 49:19Speaker 4: a whole lot, just because I'm trying to conserve my
- 49:21Speaker 4: energy get to the next place.
- 49:22Speaker 8: I know.
- 49:22Speaker 6: I hate that. I hated that about people. Ben Jones
- 49:26Speaker 6: would do the same thing.
- 49:27Speaker 4: I would love to, like if you're like bantering about
- 49:30Speaker 4: jokes or something. But yeah, I was never getting too loud,
- 49:33Speaker 4: because again, you gotta conserve the energy.
- 49:35Speaker 6: Ben Ben Ben would spend just as much energy as
- 49:38Speaker 6: I would talking shit buttering the guy up in.
- 49:40Speaker 4: Front of him, Yeah you're doing great, hey, like he'd picky,
- 49:43Speaker 4: like you've tripped foot there? Yeah, And I hated that.
- 49:46Speaker 4: I thought that was so lame.
- 49:48Speaker 6: It's like Ben fucking stopped and then Ben, there was
- 49:51Speaker 6: like a couple of times where I would talk ship
- 49:52Speaker 6: to like the nose tackle, and Ben would literally come
- 49:55Speaker 6: over to me and grab my faces, like you talk
- 49:56Speaker 6: to whoever you want. Leave him alone, Yeah, Taylor, you
- 49:59Speaker 6: leave him alone.
- 50:01Speaker 4: Darren Sproles went out to the flat one time we were
- 50:03Speaker 4: playing the Eagles and he was like, man, he should
- 50:05Speaker 4: just threw it out here to me, and I'm just like, yeah,
- 50:06Speaker 4: I'm so happy he didn't. Did he say anything. He
- 50:13Speaker 4: just chuckled, and I was like, you're help a player.
- 50:14Speaker 4: And then I just try just try to back to
- 50:16Speaker 4: that all because I don't need you, know what I mean?
- 50:18Speaker 4: I need guys this. You know, you you let your
- 50:22Speaker 4: guard down a little bit, lower your level of play
- 50:24Speaker 4: for just a minute. Yeah, this guy's a good guy.
- 50:26Speaker 4: I'm not gonna do him dirty.
- 50:27Speaker 6: Yeah, that is funny how that legitimately happens in the
- 50:30Speaker 6: league too, Like dudes little hitting themselves as cop I'm
- 50:33Speaker 6: not gonna do him dirty.
- 50:34Speaker 4: I'll let him get this ankle. Yeah. I remember one
- 50:37Speaker 4: time it was like one of the last two years
- 50:40Speaker 4: and I went down and somebody apologized, so oh my
- 50:43Speaker 4: bad company. Didn't mean to do that. God, it's all good. Brothers.
- 50:45Speaker 4: Just help me up. It's all good, bro. Yeah. I
- 50:53Speaker 4: hated the help up thing too.
- 50:54Speaker 6: I I never did, never helped up an opponent once
- 50:57Speaker 6: in my entire career.
- 50:59Speaker 4: I don't know opponents. I mean it's like if somebody's
- 51:02Speaker 4: down and I'm helping guys up. Maybe, But there wasn't
- 51:04Speaker 4: like a there wasn't like a style of like I'm
- 51:06Speaker 4: gonna leave this gout on the ground.
- 51:07Speaker 6: I just wouldn't reach for somebody's hand if they reached out,
- 51:10Speaker 6: and I had a thing about getting up to But
- 51:12Speaker 6: Derek would always if it was the first run of
- 51:14Speaker 6: the game or the fortieth run of the game, just
- 51:17Speaker 6: put both of his hands up and if you were
- 51:18Speaker 6: starting to want buy, he'd yell at you.
- 51:20Speaker 4: God damn.
- 51:21Speaker 6: He wouldn't help at all. You know, when helps somebody
- 51:24Speaker 6: put their body into it, Derek would zero. He just
- 51:27Speaker 6: like let you like bring them back up to life
- 51:29Speaker 6: like Frankenstein.
- 51:30Speaker 4: It was the worst. It was the worst.
- 51:32Speaker 5: Jack shout out, my shout out.
- 51:35Speaker 7: Every shout out goes to Jewish weddings. I tit in
- 51:39Speaker 7: my first last weekend, and if I am been to one,
- 51:42Speaker 7: I highly recommend.
- 51:43Speaker 5: They're electric.
- 51:44Speaker 7: They are electric, And there's just like a lot of
- 51:47Speaker 7: cool cultural symbolism that they include, and like a lot
- 51:50Speaker 7: of history. But I remember we get in there and
- 51:53Speaker 7: most weddings that I've been to before, you know, they
- 51:56Speaker 7: do the first dance, you eat, and then everybody just
- 51:58Speaker 7: basically dances for the rest of the time, and we
- 52:00Speaker 7: like everybody sat down. They do dances and speeches and
- 52:04Speaker 7: then everyone gets up and for forty five minutes it
- 52:07Speaker 7: was just like everyone holding hands, spinning in the circle,
- 52:09Speaker 7: We're hoisting the people in the chairs and it was
- 52:12Speaker 7: just all time, like the energy was everywhere. Everyone's having
- 52:15Speaker 7: a blast, just hugging and kissing. So shout out that,
- 52:18Speaker 7: and also shout out to my great friends Alex and
- 52:21Speaker 7: Will Godwin who just got married.
- 52:23Speaker 4: So had a great time there.
- 52:24Speaker 7: But yeah, if you ever get the chance to go
- 52:26Speaker 7: to a Jewish wedding, do not pass up on it.
- 52:28Speaker 7: It will change your life.
- 52:29Speaker 4: Let's go. It might be Jewish, so I don't know.
- 52:32Speaker 4: Hell yeah, Delna did that. Delanna did that one year.
- 52:35Speaker 4: The reason they're ahead of the game and they have
- 52:36Speaker 4: electric weddings. In my opinion, they have an agenda like you,
- 52:39Speaker 4: they have traditional things that they do, so no matter what, you.
- 52:42Speaker 5: Know, what to be excited for.
- 52:44Speaker 4: Yeah, if you go, you know, to a different wedding,
- 52:46Speaker 4: you're if you're getting married, almost playing things within you know,
- 52:51Speaker 4: the reception and everything else, just because it's like outside
- 52:54Speaker 4: of that, it's like, Okay, who's gonna go out there
- 52:56Speaker 4: on the dance floor first? Yeah, who's gonna do this?
- 52:58Speaker 4: Who's gonna do that?
- 52:59Speaker 5: Weddings you know what's coming next?
- 53:00Speaker 7: End up and come dance, like everybody get up that.
- 53:02Speaker 7: There's even like ninety year old grandmothers like, oh like
- 53:05Speaker 7: spinning and dancing. Yeah, if she's doing it, you're doing it.
- 53:08Speaker 4: Yeah question.
- 53:08Speaker 6: Yeah, I love I love the awkward Christian wedding when
- 53:13Speaker 6: it's like music starts and there's like two or three
- 53:14Speaker 6: people are like do we I have hit? It's the
- 53:17Speaker 6: first one in there to start fun doing whatever they're
- 53:20Speaker 6: moving getting out there. Yeah, that's uh the worst, so
- 53:25Speaker 6: great wedding. The worst wedding is Catholic weddings.
- 53:28Speaker 4: The worst, dude.
- 53:29Speaker 6: It's the first off, it's a leg workout. You're up
- 53:30Speaker 6: and down fifty times. They're washing feet over there, and
- 53:33Speaker 6: it's literally a straight communion. It's like an hour and
- 53:36Speaker 6: a half.
- 53:37Speaker 4: A lot of weird traditional stuff, weird, traditional stuff, weird.
- 53:42Speaker 6: Well, I mean we're not weird, you're whatever you're in
- 53:44Speaker 6: your Yeah, I'm saying weird.
- 53:47Speaker 4: Process. I was like, listen, we're not against the cat weird.
- 53:49Speaker 4: Like it's like you have to go through an entire
- 53:52Speaker 4: like mass, you have to go through an entire service.
- 53:54Speaker 4: Everything is very structured in a way of like school.
- 53:58Speaker 6: Yeah, and by the time it's the reception happens and
- 54:00Speaker 6: it's time to have fun, you're just tired from the thing.
- 54:02Speaker 4: I spend an hour and a half. Let me get
- 54:04Speaker 4: some bread or a salad in me before I start
- 54:06Speaker 4: going crazy.
- 54:07Speaker 5: Right, all right, let's play bingo.
- 54:08Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I'm gonna buy the fifty fifth raffle for
- 54:11Speaker 4: the quilt. For the quilt I used to sell, you
- 54:15Speaker 4: know what, Wait used to deal raffle tickets for quilts
- 54:18Speaker 4: back in the day. Yeah.
- 54:19Speaker 6: The feet washing never, I never understood. That was at
- 54:23Speaker 6: a ony one time and they started washing their feet,
- 54:25Speaker 6: and I was like, I know this is a religious thing, but.
- 54:28Speaker 4: I just didn't get it. Yeah, they're washing feet.
- 54:32Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, I'm sure there's so many in the comments
- 54:34Speaker 6: that can tell us what that means.
- 54:36Speaker 4: I think it's like your.
- 54:37Speaker 6: Service yeah, your service for the other individual, you'd wash
- 54:41Speaker 6: their feet great, love them?
- 54:44Speaker 4: What a god? My shadow no free shoutout Sharing the
- 54:51Speaker 4: Wi Fi password. So when you're at a spot and
- 54:56Speaker 4: you're trying to get into the Wi Fi and it
- 54:58Speaker 4: just pops up on somebody else's phone, they're like, oh, hey,
- 55:00Speaker 4: who's trying to get on the WiFi? And you're like,
- 55:02Speaker 4: oh myself, and they're like, I'll share it with you
- 55:03Speaker 4: right now, and then boom you're in. You're into the
- 55:05Speaker 4: Wi Fi. I think that's a very small victory for
- 55:09Speaker 4: the iPhone is share being able to share the WiFi passwords.
- 55:12Speaker 4: So that is my simple yet effective shout out no
- 55:15Speaker 4: free shoutout. I like that.
- 55:17Speaker 7: There's power two and being on the opposite end of
- 55:19Speaker 7: that where you shared to someone else, you're like you
- 55:21Speaker 7: know what, Yeah, here you go.
- 55:23Speaker 6: Yeah, I think send it off. My shoutout no free
- 55:27Speaker 6: shout out came to me yesterday. I had a dinner
- 55:29Speaker 6: with Dennis Kelly after the combine and I was my
- 55:32Speaker 6: whole approach to the dinner was trying to get him
- 55:34Speaker 6: back to move back to Nashville, and he's like, oh,
- 55:36Speaker 6: Will's not doing it for you, And I was like, no,
- 55:38Speaker 6: you know it, what's great, but you know we're together
- 55:39Speaker 6: every single day.
- 55:40Speaker 4: I'd love to have you around. I'd love to have
- 55:42Speaker 4: an outlet every once in a while.
- 55:43Speaker 6: And it got me thinking to the fall, how like
- 55:45Speaker 6: when we're in this building every single day, that I
- 55:48Speaker 6: know how I am, I know how I can be,
- 55:50Speaker 6: and to see the little like the more you know somebody,
- 55:54Speaker 6: the more you can find out how annoyed they get quickly.
- 55:56Speaker 6: And with Will, it's very easy to see for as
- 55:58Speaker 6: long as we've been friends. Towards the end of the season,
- 56:01Speaker 6: it was like, oh yeah, okay, Will's he needs a
- 56:03Speaker 6: break from old Louis And so my shout out, no
- 56:05Speaker 6: free shout out goes to the perfect amount of break
- 56:08Speaker 6: you get from friends when you need this to recharge
- 56:11Speaker 6: that button and get back to neutral.
- 56:12Speaker 4: W What am?
- 56:13Speaker 5: What are my?
- 56:14Speaker 4: What are my ticks?
- 56:14Speaker 8: Do we just?
- 56:15Speaker 6: You get if you you internalize, you get quiet, faster jokes,
- 56:20Speaker 6: you're not as jokey.
- 56:21Speaker 4: It's not a bad thing. It's just like, oh my boy,
- 56:23Speaker 4: he just needs to recharge his batteries. It's all I'm curious.
- 56:26Speaker 4: I'm trying to learn about myself.
- 56:28Speaker 6: What else does he do? You guys can jump in
- 56:30Speaker 6: at any point, but it's really like this is you.
- 56:32Speaker 6: It's an overall Yeah, it's fine, it's an overall energy
- 56:35Speaker 6: thing with Will. That's just kind of like, Okay, he's
- 56:37Speaker 6: not feeling it today. Okay, he's he's feeling the way
- 56:40Speaker 6: it's it's November and we're not even in December yet,
- 56:43Speaker 6: type of halfway through this season, just like how people
- 56:45Speaker 6: get during the football season when you get to like
- 56:47Speaker 6: have a second week in November and you're like, it's
- 56:49Speaker 6: not even Thanksgiving yet, we still have half this motherfucker left.
- 56:52Speaker 6: So you just see you see it in the eyes.
- 56:55Speaker 4: So that's the boy. Good to see. You make a
- 56:57Speaker 4: joke and you're like.
- 56:59Speaker 6: Okay, he's not having a good time right now, and
- 57:02Speaker 6: that's okay.
- 57:03Speaker 5: You guys can tell.
- 57:04Speaker 7: I think that's just natural for anyone anybody. You need
- 57:09Speaker 7: time to like miss somebody and be like remember why
- 57:12Speaker 7: you want to spend time with him, and just being like, ah,
- 57:15Speaker 7: you really are getting under my skin.
- 57:17Speaker 4: I don't want to see you ever again, you know
- 57:19Speaker 4: what I mean?
- 57:20Speaker 6: Everyone feels that way, no question, Like we're we're legit brothers.
- 57:24Speaker 6: So there's gonna there's gonna become a point where we're like, listen,
- 57:26Speaker 6: I need twenty four hours, because you would you would
- 57:29Speaker 6: get anytime there would be like a small break, like
- 57:30Speaker 6: Will would go to Chicago and I wouldn't go that.
- 57:33Speaker 6: Friday was like seemed like the batteries were recharged a
- 57:35Speaker 6: little bit, but you go. You go Monday busting to
- 57:39Speaker 6: bet the bus. Wednesday slips some picks. Thursday we're both
- 57:42Speaker 6: in Chicago. Friday we're going, We're off to this fall
- 57:45Speaker 6: tour break. Sunday, Monday we're back at it. It's like, well,
- 57:48Speaker 6: a couple of those go down, and I can just
- 57:50Speaker 6: see Will be.
- 57:50Speaker 4: In today Michigan Nebraka losing Yes.
- 57:53Speaker 6: Saturday, and so that's where you just see it and
- 57:56Speaker 6: they're like, yeah, he's he's kind of over it, isn't he?
- 58:00Speaker 6: That's much oun't know for shadow dude. Recharging the batteries.
- 58:02Speaker 5: Recharging the batteries.
- 58:04Speaker 6: You gotta you gotta recharge it.
- 58:06Speaker 5: Should we go?
- 58:06Speaker 6: Uh?
- 58:07Speaker 4: Should we talk? Pet Peeve? Do we want to go?
- 58:09Speaker 4: Twisted question? Yeah?
- 58:12Speaker 6: I kind of Do we have dad hats? Because I'd
- 58:14Speaker 6: love to hit a dad segment real quick.
- 58:15Speaker 4: It can be my bad story. This is this could
- 58:17Speaker 4: funnel into the pet peeve.
- 58:18Speaker 6: I'm gonna put this on real which now listen this
- 58:24Speaker 6: new segment. For those of you stored up are so
- 58:26Speaker 6: sports dot com, you can get this.
- 58:28Speaker 5: Merch brought the segment up what over a month ago.
- 58:31Speaker 4: Yeah, and this is the first time we're doing it.
- 58:33Speaker 6: So this is for all the dads out there, young kids,
- 58:36Speaker 6: old kids, everything in between. This is this is a
- 58:39Speaker 6: therapeutic session for all of us. Like this can be
- 58:41Speaker 6: a positive thing or it could be a negative thing.
- 58:43Speaker 6: Today for me as a father, this is gonna be
- 58:48Speaker 6: a negative thing that just pisses me the fuck off
- 58:51Speaker 6: your chest. Man, I appreciate that my six year old
- 58:54Speaker 6: is incredible. Win rebela one. She's so sweet, she's so kind,
- 58:59Speaker 6: like truly be a pit me of a little girl. Unicorns, butterflies, rainbows,
- 59:02Speaker 6: loves all that stuff.
- 59:03Speaker 4: I love it.
- 59:04Speaker 12: Marrier, I hate the fucking whining voice. The daddy Willow
- 59:14Speaker 12: took my bunny and then she said that. The bunny
- 59:17Speaker 12: said this, and then the and then the bunny turned
- 59:19Speaker 12: away from.
- 59:20Speaker 6: Me, and I'm thinking, dog, did the bunny say that?
- 59:23Speaker 6: When Yeah, the bunny said that, I was like, do
- 59:26Speaker 6: you think you could be the bunny's voice, Like, no,
- 59:28Speaker 6: Willow's being the bunnies, and it's that it's that daddy,
- 59:31Speaker 6: that tone. Willows being the voice. It's like, well, also, okay,
- 59:35Speaker 6: stuffed animal, you can be the voice if you want
- 59:37Speaker 6: to be the voice too, so go ahead be the
- 59:39Speaker 6: bunny's voice. Then she goes when yeah, I love you.
- 59:45Speaker 6: I was like, see now the bunny loves you again.
- 59:47Speaker 6: And then Willow, in true fashion, goes, I don't love
- 59:50Speaker 6: you and turns the bunny away. My god, damn it, Willow,
- 59:53Speaker 6: because Willows a savage. Willows will is an absolute savage,
- 59:57Speaker 6: Like she just takes things and keeps moving forward.
- 59:59Speaker 4: She is a rocky bo over our fans, was that.
- 1:00:00Speaker 5: The first time you saw her hanging upside down on
- 1:00:02Speaker 5: the swing?
- 1:00:03Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:00:04Speaker 5: I was not sure.
- 1:00:05Speaker 4: Yeah. So going off Willow being a savage, we go
- 1:00:09Speaker 4: over to La Wants the Law wants hosts for like
- 1:00:10Speaker 4: an Italian night. We had a great Italian meal cooked
- 1:00:13Speaker 4: up by the one the only tailing Lawan and it
- 1:00:15Speaker 4: was phenomenal. But before the meal gets made, uh, the
- 1:00:19Speaker 4: girls are like, hey, let's go upstairs. So we go upstairs.
- 1:00:22Speaker 4: I have Roo over.
- 1:00:22Speaker 5: It's me, it's me, Rue Willow and win. Yeah.
- 1:00:25Speaker 6: So we're in the pays up with the bach Tars
- 1:00:28Speaker 6: and we're kind of hanging out and then my girls
- 1:00:30Speaker 6: grab Will and just take Will upstairs. So Wills fending
- 1:00:32Speaker 6: for himself.
- 1:00:33Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm with one when the fellaws are gonna come
- 1:00:35Speaker 4: up and look for me or find me. Like yeah, yeah.
- 1:00:39Speaker 5: So I'm up there and we're in like the player
- 1:00:41Speaker 5: and they're like, hey, can we go upstairs? Upstairs? I'm like, oh,
- 1:00:44Speaker 5: what's upstairs?
- 1:00:45Speaker 4: Upstairs? And they talk about like this this basically this this
- 1:00:47Speaker 4: jungle gym that's up in like the attic. I'm like, well,
- 1:00:50Speaker 4: I don't see why not. They're like, well, we can
- 1:00:52Speaker 4: only go up if an adult is with us. So
- 1:00:53Speaker 4: it's like, okay, I'm an adult. Let's go upstairs. I'll
- 1:00:56Speaker 4: watch you guys. So we go up.
- 1:00:58Speaker 5: There and they're playing around.
- 1:00:59Speaker 4: There's like this there's like this swing but it's like,
- 1:01:02Speaker 4: what's it called.
- 1:01:03Speaker 6: It's like, uh, it is a swing. It's just a swing,
- 1:01:05Speaker 6: but instead of like an actual.
- 1:01:06Speaker 4: Sitting and swing, like this big.
- 1:01:08Speaker 6: Cloth that you can kind of get in a maneuvering
- 1:01:10Speaker 6: and they can kind of lay down or sit up
- 1:01:12Speaker 6: or whatever.
- 1:01:13Speaker 4: Yeah, And so when is like hanging upside down, has
- 1:01:15Speaker 4: her legs like wrapped inside, so she's kind of swinging Willow.
- 1:01:18Speaker 4: You can tell she's fired up and wanting to do
- 1:01:20Speaker 4: it too. She's like, I want to swing. I want
- 1:01:22Speaker 4: to swing. I'm like, okay, I can help you swing.
- 1:01:24Speaker 4: And she's like, uh, I want to do it like Win.
- 1:01:26Speaker 4: I'm like, okay, have you done it before? And she
- 1:01:28Speaker 4: was kind of like you know, She's like yeah. So
- 1:01:31Speaker 4: I'm like, all right, well watch your sister. I'm like, Win,
- 1:01:33Speaker 4: stand over here. We kind of go through the instruction
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: and I'm like, lean back. The first time she does it,
- 1:01:37Speaker 4: she's got her legs up wrapped around and she's swinging
- 1:01:39Speaker 4: back and forth. She's having a blast, and I'm kind
- 1:01:41Speaker 4: of curious, like was this the first time she did that?
- 1:01:44Speaker 4: It was so I'm the one who's kind of enabling
- 1:01:46Speaker 4: this and versus being like, oh, let's wait until mom
- 1:01:49Speaker 4: or dad comes up and says you can do it.
- 1:01:51Speaker 4: So then Taylor comes up, She's like, Dad, you gotta
- 1:01:52Speaker 4: watch me swing And I was like, yeah, you gotta
- 1:01:54Speaker 4: check out with a little swing. And so we go
- 1:01:55Speaker 4: over there and I'm like, remember, I was like, get
- 1:01:57Speaker 4: your back here, and I was like, we're gonna go backwards.
- 1:01:59Speaker 5: We go backwards.
- 1:02:00Speaker 4: I'm like, here, wrap your leg around here and wrap
- 1:02:01Speaker 4: your leg around there. So she she starts trying to wrap.
- 1:02:04Speaker 4: I step back. As I step back, she just slipped.
- 1:02:08Speaker 4: She slips down the swing and just goes head first,
- 1:02:10Speaker 4: lands on her head. Yeah, lands on her head, just
- 1:02:12Speaker 4: head burst into the ground, and I kind of sit there.
- 1:02:15Speaker 6: I was like, oh, and I'm sitting there like knowing
- 1:02:19Speaker 6: it's Willow. Willow like hits hits her head, like on
- 1:02:23Speaker 6: top of her head. The rest of her body falls.
- 1:02:26Speaker 4: And she just goes, I'm okay, but kind of like
- 1:02:30Speaker 4: I'm okay, and we're kind of sitting there and I'm like, God,
- 1:02:32Speaker 4: I hope she is okay, because I have no clue
- 1:02:34Speaker 4: if this is like the first time she's been doing this,
- 1:02:36Speaker 4: and then what this has happened.
- 1:02:37Speaker 5: It's like, oh, yeah, yeah, you're good.
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: She's like, oh, I'm okay, I'm okay, and I'm just thinking, oh,
- 1:02:41Speaker 4: thank god. Yeah. But she kind of just took it,
- 1:02:43Speaker 4: dropped on her head and took it like a champion,
- 1:02:44Speaker 4: just kept it moving.
- 1:02:45Speaker 6: And Willow is really like that too.
- 1:02:46Speaker 4: She's she's like that strong head bulldog strong.
- 1:02:50Speaker 6: Yeah, and she's just kind of like eat shit dude.
- 1:02:53Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:02:53Speaker 6: But anyway, all that to be said, My daughter, my
- 1:02:57Speaker 6: oldest daughter, is overly sensitive. Sometimes it's very difficult for
- 1:03:00Speaker 6: me to handle that. Is there anything we can talk
- 1:03:01Speaker 6: to you about your daughter?
- 1:03:05Speaker 4: So my dad's story, man, My dad's story comes to
- 1:03:10Speaker 4: us from Rue.
- 1:03:12Speaker 5: And I'm gonna say this is.
- 1:03:12Speaker 4: Probably a pet pee for Ru about her old man.
- 1:03:15Speaker 4: She loves Frozen. She's into the Frozen world now. She
- 1:03:19Speaker 4: loves Elsa, she loves Anna, she loves Olaf. I love Frozen.
- 1:03:23Speaker 4: It's actually a movie that I can right now. I'm
- 1:03:26Speaker 4: still in the I haven't watched it like one hundred
- 1:03:27Speaker 4: times where I'm sick of it. So I'm still in
- 1:03:29Speaker 4: that phase of we gotta listen to Frozen everywhere we
- 1:03:31Speaker 4: go the soundtrack. If we say, hey, it's movie night,
- 1:03:34Speaker 4: she's like Elsa, Elsa, Assa. And then we got to
- 1:03:37Speaker 4: talk her into something else. We watch something else. But
- 1:03:39Speaker 4: she loves Frozen. So I'm putting her down the other night.
- 1:03:43Speaker 4: And she loves when mom and dad sing to her. Now,
- 1:03:45Speaker 4: I usually have this old Mighty Joe Young song. I
- 1:03:48Speaker 4: like to sing back after you know, the poachers came
- 1:03:51Speaker 4: and everything else. But for whatever reason, Ru is now onto.
- 1:03:54Speaker 4: She wants frozen, so she wants Elsa. She'll say, Elsa, Elsa.
- 1:03:58Speaker 4: I don't really know the lyrics that well, so I
- 1:04:00Speaker 4: just sing over and over like let it go.
- 1:04:02Speaker 5: I'm just like, let it go, let it go.
- 1:04:06Speaker 4: And I went back anymore, let it go, let it go?
- 1:04:13Speaker 5: No no, no, none no, And then I'll.
- 1:04:16Speaker 4: Kind of summing right, yeah, yeah, yeah, but I'm kind
- 1:04:19Speaker 4: of like piecing those together, and I just kind of
- 1:04:20Speaker 4: sitting rock before I like put her down for the
- 1:04:22Speaker 4: final goodbye, and then she's like a ya ay ya aya,
- 1:04:25Speaker 4: and she's singing so confident, like oh, her mother must
- 1:04:27Speaker 4: have sang her something the night before, and she's like ayah,
- 1:04:31Speaker 4: little did I know that? Man? Anna? And she wanted
- 1:04:34Speaker 4: to hear like Anna, like the front Door song or something.
- 1:04:37Speaker 4: It is like open up the doors?
- 1:04:39Speaker 6: Shit, do you want to build a snow man?
- 1:04:41Speaker 4: That's one of them. But she's like, a ya aya,
- 1:04:43Speaker 4: I have no clue what she's saying, so I just
- 1:04:45Speaker 4: start going I just start singing ayya. In the let
- 1:04:48Speaker 4: it Go version, I just start going ayah a ya
- 1:04:53Speaker 4: ah yah yah yah yah, and then she just immediately
- 1:04:56Speaker 4: leans up, leans in for kissing. She's like bye bye,
- 1:04:59Speaker 4: and I go downstairs. I tell her about it. She
- 1:05:00Speaker 4: starts dial She's like, she wants you to sing uh
- 1:05:03Speaker 4: for the first time in forever? Oh yeah, great song.
- 1:05:06Speaker 5: And she's laughing.
- 1:05:07Speaker 4: She's like she's probably sitting there like, what the fuck
- 1:05:09Speaker 4: is dad singing right now? He just put me down,
- 1:05:11Speaker 4: just put me to bed? Yeah? Do so that is
- 1:05:14Speaker 4: my uh, that is my dad's story. That is my
- 1:05:17Speaker 4: dad story of the week. I also hate the whiny voice.
- 1:05:19Speaker 4: I hate when they don't get their way in their
- 1:05:21Speaker 4: immediate thing is to start kind of like crying or
- 1:05:23Speaker 4: like have that kind of yeah that kind of face
- 1:05:25Speaker 4: and say, hey, let's let's calm down. I touched on
- 1:05:27Speaker 4: it last week.
- 1:05:28Speaker 6: I'm kind of finding my my my groove as like
- 1:05:31Speaker 6: the grumpy dad sometimes and I'm I'm perfecting it. The
- 1:05:34Speaker 6: last week has allowed.
- 1:05:35Speaker 4: Me to perfect it. You're really getting there.
- 1:05:37Speaker 6: I know when to become grumpy and when the hey
- 1:05:40Speaker 6: that finger listen. Yeah, you don't talk to me like that,
- 1:05:44Speaker 6: you don't talk to your mom like that. Yeah, why
- 1:05:45Speaker 6: don't you go ahead and go do what I asked you?
- 1:05:47Speaker 6: To do and think about what you did.
- 1:05:49Speaker 4: Yeah, bo love that. Yeah, I don't know how to
- 1:05:53Speaker 4: mess with something I've started kind of just like if
- 1:05:55Speaker 4: Ruth starts crying, like for whatever reason, I just start
- 1:05:58Speaker 4: saying like, yeah, more louder, cry louder, that's not helpful.
- 1:06:02Speaker 4: Stop crying. Kind kind of stop and look at me,
- 1:06:05Speaker 4: and I'm like, go ahead, you want to you want
- 1:06:07Speaker 4: to cry, Like, go ahead, cry louder, that's gonna help
- 1:06:09Speaker 4: the situation.
- 1:06:11Speaker 6: I'm pretty sure it's like gaslighting, young child.
- 1:06:13Speaker 4: Oh it is. I don't truly know what gaslighting means.
- 1:06:16Speaker 5: Want to push you in the car.
- 1:06:18Speaker 4: All right, we can handle this a little bit better
- 1:06:19Speaker 4: next time.
- 1:06:20Speaker 6: I used to when when was little, when she would
- 1:06:22Speaker 6: start crying, I would just cry also louder, and then
- 1:06:25Speaker 6: she was like, you know, what the fuck does this
- 1:06:26Speaker 6: guy doing?
- 1:06:27Speaker 4: I just stop them. See.
- 1:06:28Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm annoying, isn't it? But yeah, my kids ripped, dude,
- 1:06:33Speaker 6: don't fucking get a twisted.
- 1:06:34Speaker 4: I love my kids. But yeah, it's that club right now,
- 1:06:37Speaker 4: that club. This is all all is fair in love
- 1:06:40Speaker 4: and war man. This is the dad's venting. Yeah, hopefully
- 1:06:43Speaker 4: dads are out there watching, commenting with us or like
- 1:06:45Speaker 4: nudging their wife being like I see.
- 1:06:48Speaker 6: There was a situation at dinner Saturday night when Rue
- 1:06:51Speaker 6: got dropped on her head and I was like, I
- 1:06:54Speaker 6: looked at taor probably when some ship like kind of
- 1:06:57Speaker 6: whisper that, and Taylor gives me this look like yo,
- 1:07:00Speaker 6: when is not always into ship?
- 1:07:02Speaker 4: Like what are you talking about? Like give me this
- 1:07:03Speaker 4: like gruesome look, and like walked away. I thought, that's
- 1:07:07Speaker 4: a problem. Man. We can't just bitch. We can't just complain.
- 1:07:10Speaker 6: The boys just can't complain sometimes.
- 1:07:11Speaker 4: That's the fun of being a dad is getting with
- 1:07:14Speaker 4: your significant.
- 1:07:15Speaker 6: Other and talking a little shit. You want to talk
- 1:07:17Speaker 6: a little shit about your kid, knowing good and well,
- 1:07:19Speaker 6: I love this kid. I would die for this kid.
- 1:07:21Speaker 6: I would let my wife die for these kids. That's
- 1:07:25Speaker 6: how much I love these kids.
- 1:07:27Speaker 4: But that's a Ryan Renolds joke. I actually went let
- 1:07:29Speaker 4: them die. But anyway, it's I'm with you.
- 1:07:32Speaker 6: Just you just want to talk a little shit sometimes,
- 1:07:34Speaker 6: and like Taylor is big on, like listen, don't let
- 1:07:37Speaker 6: it get out of hand. I understand you're frustrated. If
- 1:07:39Speaker 6: you need me to take tonight, I will. It's like no, no, no, no,
- 1:07:41Speaker 6: I just want you to bitch with me for a
- 1:07:43Speaker 6: minute and then we can just move.
- 1:07:44Speaker 4: Off at my joke.
- 1:07:44Speaker 5: Yeah, or a lot for the joke charge like what's
- 1:07:46Speaker 5: wrong with room?
- 1:07:47Speaker 4: Like she's been a little yeah like that, and she
- 1:07:50Speaker 4: might not like have a little smirk or something. I'll
- 1:07:54Speaker 4: just be thinking to myself, like I need a little
- 1:07:55Speaker 4: giggle right there, Like this was just all that was
- 1:07:57Speaker 4: all fun. That was all fun. That's a joke, my dog.
- 1:08:00Speaker 6: Listen, smile yeah, woman's you should smile more. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:08:07Speaker 6: but yeah, sometimes just want to bitch, dude. And if
- 1:08:09Speaker 6: you guys are listening or watching the show and you're
- 1:08:11Speaker 6: able to comment, go ahead and let us know your bitch.
- 1:08:13Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:08:14Speaker 5: Dads, Hey, we're all in this shit together.
- 1:08:15Speaker 4: We're in it together. You're trying to get better. You
- 1:08:17Speaker 4: know what helps you as a dad? Drinking a twisted tea?
- 1:08:20Speaker 9: Do you?
- 1:08:20Speaker 6: Twisted tea is refreshing, hard iced tea with real brood
- 1:08:23Speaker 6: off with five percent alcohol, full of flavor, and very refreshing.
- 1:08:27Speaker 6: Twisted tea goes down smooth and there is no carbonation,
- 1:08:30Speaker 6: which makes it easy to drink all day long. Twisted

- 1:08:48Speaker 4: You know what goes great with the twisted tea The mangoes.
- 1:08:53Speaker 6: The mangoes. I'm on the mangos right now because I
- 1:08:55Speaker 6: don't have the espressoes on me. I think we actually
- 1:08:57Speaker 6: did all those.
- 1:08:59Speaker 4: Sorry, I'm trying to work in your back. Yeah, we
- 1:09:01Speaker 4: get some cat coups. I'm going in now, Yeah, trying
- 1:09:03Speaker 4: to get some all right, smart dude.
- 1:09:05Speaker 6: So and I know, like, okay, here goes to with
- 1:09:08Speaker 6: another ad.
- 1:09:09Speaker 4: Again.
- 1:09:09Speaker 6: This is an ad, but it's also like a tip
- 1:09:11Speaker 6: of the cap. So we had Lucy come in. Last week.
- 1:09:14Speaker 6: It was Dave and Sammy and these dudes. Boy, yeah,
- 1:09:18Speaker 6: shout out the boys like they came in there. Dave's
- 1:09:21Speaker 6: like this broad shouldered, muscled out cat, like tells us
- 1:09:24Speaker 6: a lot of powerlifting. Sammy, this dude comes in, scrawnier
- 1:09:27Speaker 6: looking cat, got a beard, wearing a like a Levi's jacket.
- 1:09:31Speaker 6: We're kind of talking hanging out. We showed the meru
- 1:09:32Speaker 6: on the shop a little bit, kind of get their
- 1:09:34Speaker 6: game plan. We started to get the ins and outs
- 1:09:36Speaker 6: of Lucy and how the nicotine world lives. By the way,
- 1:09:38Speaker 6: it's a big popularity contest. Zin and all these other
- 1:09:42Speaker 6: companies are owned by like big tobacco companies essentially, so Lucy,
- 1:09:47Speaker 6: you guys are probably I've seen the comments, Well they're
- 1:09:48Speaker 6: so expensive, they're so this all these other companies can
- 1:09:51Speaker 6: cut margins because they they're funded by billions and billions
- 1:09:54Speaker 6: and billions of dollars. Lucy is essentially a mom and
- 1:09:57Speaker 6: pop shop with two dudes that are just trying to
- 1:10:00Speaker 6: make their parents prout, which we found out Dave David,
- 1:10:02Speaker 6: the owner, we really got to make his dad prout.
- 1:10:04Speaker 6: If you want to have a son, finally get the approval.
- 1:10:07Speaker 4: Of his father, you need to buy a Lucy.
- 1:10:09Speaker 6: But we sat in there. Dave was sitting in the
- 1:10:11Speaker 6: guest chair, and then Sammy was sitting where the boy's
- 1:10:14Speaker 6: usually sitting them back on the benches, and Sammy took
- 1:10:16Speaker 6: that jacket off. Bro boy looks fantastic sleeper Billy Cooper Bill,
- 1:10:21Speaker 6: you got that Cooper Bill sleeper Bill. He took that
- 1:10:23Speaker 6: thing off Vans arm bicep just fucking out there hanging out.
- 1:10:28Speaker 6: I was like, Oh, these boys get after it, and
- 1:10:31Speaker 6: so shout out Lucy too because it was just a good.
- 1:10:33Speaker 4: Time, dude.
- 1:10:33Speaker 6: Lip pillows feel fantastic. The Breakers are amazing. I'm officially
- 1:10:37Speaker 6: an espresso guy. When it comes to Lucy's, Mango is
- 1:10:40Speaker 6: a close second, So get him when you can't use
- 1:10:43Speaker 6: code bust and I believe for a discount of Lucy
- 1:10:44Speaker 6: dot com. That's there's not even an adverage for Lucy today,
- 1:10:47Speaker 6: is there?
- 1:10:48Speaker 4: There's not?
- 1:10:49Speaker 6: And the boys are working on an antidepression protocol that
- 1:10:52Speaker 6: is not backed by science, that is not real.
- 1:10:55Speaker 4: We're going to release it anyway.
- 1:10:57Speaker 5: Yeah, anti depression, Mitch.
- 1:10:58Speaker 4: So the twisted question, yea ready, I thought it was
- 1:11:03Speaker 4: just a twisted ad read.
- 1:11:04Speaker 10: But yeah, So this one comes from uh Jake Not
- 1:11:11Speaker 10: on Instagram, Jake dot not appreciate you. If you could
- 1:11:15Speaker 10: take one singular item from any fictional world and be
- 1:11:18Speaker 10: able to use it, what would it be?
- 1:11:20Speaker 8: And why?
- 1:11:21Speaker 10: So we can use a fictional item or we can
- 1:11:24Speaker 10: do a weapon kind of whatever you guys are whatever
- 1:11:27Speaker 10: you guys.
- 1:11:27Speaker 6: One fictional item? What was Thanos's glob What was it like,
- 1:11:40Speaker 6: I've never even seen it, but that sounds like the easy,
- 1:11:42Speaker 6: low hanging fruit.
- 1:11:47Speaker 8: You kind of need all of the other stones in
- 1:11:49Speaker 8: order for that to be search the world.
- 1:11:51Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I'm out on that or the universe right, like,
- 1:11:56Speaker 4: it'd be tough. There's a couple in my head right now, now, okay,
- 1:12:02Speaker 4: go ahead. Actually there's three Harry Potter's wand lightsaber, the
- 1:12:12Speaker 4: ray gun from Call of Duty, Zombies Danger. Hey, that's
- 1:12:18Speaker 4: a banger, dude.
- 1:12:19Speaker 6: Harry Potter's wand is not a good one because in
- 1:12:22Speaker 6: the first movie, you have to the one has to
- 1:12:24Speaker 6: pick you.
- 1:12:25Speaker 4: You can't just have Harry Potter's wand.
- 1:12:28Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I have to choose you. Yeah, we're assuming
- 1:12:32Speaker 5: it's choosing.
- 1:12:32Speaker 4: Me, or we're assuming that I think so.
- 1:12:35Speaker 6: I mean the lightsaber I thought was a really good one.
- 1:12:37Speaker 4: Lightsaber would be sick. Just have a true, authentic lightsaber.
- 1:12:44Speaker 4: I can't check this ship out. I have Darth Maule's lightsaber.
- 1:12:56Speaker 6: My first thought is, uh, the Heart of the Ocean
- 1:13:01Speaker 6: from the movie Mauana.
- 1:13:04Speaker 4: Seen that movie.
- 1:13:05Speaker 6: It'd be a good one. I like the lightsaber thing.
- 1:13:07Speaker 4: I thought you were gonna say Titanic. Oh, the Heart
- 1:13:10Speaker 4: of the Ocean Dilace. I take that thing any movie.
- 1:13:22Speaker 6: What about Marty McFly's car from Back to the Future,
- 1:13:27Speaker 6: That would be a fun one. That's probably my choice
- 1:13:29Speaker 6: right now.
- 1:13:30Speaker 4: School buslid one just can't pick it up.
- 1:13:37Speaker 8: I mean, we're assuming you can.
- 1:13:40Speaker 7: My first thought is the remote from Click. But then
- 1:13:42Speaker 7: if you've just seen Click, no you're not so. And
- 1:13:47Speaker 7: I don't think you guys have seen this show, but
- 1:13:48Speaker 7: I'm sure you were aware of it. But I'm using
- 1:13:51Speaker 7: Rick's Portal Gun from Rick and Morty. You can just
- 1:13:54Speaker 7: travel every conceivable reality ever, and you don't have to
- 1:13:58Speaker 7: drive anywhere anymore either. So I think that's what I'm doing,
- 1:14:01Speaker 7: is Rick's Portal Gun.
- 1:14:03Speaker 4: What about the Green lanterns Ring.
- 1:14:04Speaker 7: It's a good one, But then you I feel like
- 1:14:07Speaker 7: you have to now take on a life of being
- 1:14:10Speaker 7: a vigilante and protecting the world.
- 1:14:13Speaker 4: See.
- 1:14:13Speaker 6: I always thought to myself, Man, if Superman was just selfish,
- 1:14:16Speaker 6: he could just be awesome.
- 1:14:17Speaker 4: I like, but maybe, uh, the Green Rangers whistle to
- 1:14:21Speaker 4: take out the Godzilla Megazord from the ocean. That's a
- 1:14:25Speaker 4: great one. Superpotor fucking the megazor just comes out of
- 1:14:31Speaker 4: the water for you. I don't know the references.
- 1:14:36Speaker 6: Oh you don't know the reference, don't I don't, man,
- 1:14:40Speaker 6: the magic basketball from Looney Tunes, the Secret Sauce, No, no,
- 1:14:48Speaker 6: that's just water. But the magic that the aliens steal
- 1:14:51Speaker 6: from the Charles Barkley and.
- 1:14:53Speaker 4: All of the NBA players and all the NBA players.
- 1:14:56Speaker 4: That's a good one. He compliments his own. That's a
- 1:14:59Speaker 4: good one, right, guys. Like a masterball from Pokemon. Yeah,
- 1:15:03Speaker 4: but where's the Pokemon at if one comes with it?
- 1:15:07Speaker 4: Mew two? What Pokemon would you want to? Wow? I
- 1:15:14Speaker 4: mean on metube. You didn't seen the mewtube build?
- 1:15:19Speaker 8: No show me?
- 1:15:21Speaker 4: It is springtime. Jack gets extra horny in the spring.
- 1:15:24Speaker 5: It's the weather's nice today.
- 1:15:25Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:15:25Speaker 6: Have you guys seen the flowers outside by the way,
- 1:15:28Speaker 6: there's some blooming right now.
- 1:15:30Speaker 4: It's got me horny, they say, like when I girl
- 1:15:33Speaker 4: as a YouTube build, I think chars A would be
- 1:15:38Speaker 4: sick man.
- 1:15:39Speaker 6: Yeah, but he was always so disobedient with Ash.
- 1:15:43Speaker 4: That's Ash though. Yeah. There's a lot of charge gards
- 1:15:46Speaker 4: that don't So what's just final answer?
- 1:15:49Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 1:15:49Speaker 4: I like all those everything we're kind of saying, and
- 1:15:52Speaker 4: I don't know what exactly are you using it for size?
- 1:15:54Speaker 4: Just killing people?
- 1:15:56Speaker 7: But it would be such a great centerpiece in like
- 1:15:58Speaker 7: your living room above a fireplace.
- 1:16:02Speaker 4: Three gun. Another good gun, the Green.
- 1:16:05Speaker 5: Ranger whistle, the Green Weight Ranger flute.
- 1:16:08Speaker 8: Is that what it is?
- 1:16:09Speaker 4: Percu? Yeah, it's from Power Range Sideways.
- 1:16:12Speaker 6: Another good gun. One would be a Golden Eye Golden Eyes,
- 1:16:15Speaker 6: Golden gun.
- 1:16:16Speaker 5: What am I thinking of?
- 1:16:18Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 1:16:19Speaker 4: The flute?
- 1:16:20Speaker 5: You're doing this, it's that's what I was thinking of.
- 1:16:24Speaker 4: Yeah, you right, yeah, yeah, but he's playing it.
- 1:16:30Speaker 5: Yeah, the Green Green Rangers flute.
- 1:16:34Speaker 4: That is so funny.
- 1:16:35Speaker 5: And watch this motherfucker dude, then your megazor just comes out.
- 1:16:42Speaker 4: So that is so funny.
- 1:16:45Speaker 8: Take like a transformer.
- 1:16:50Speaker 4: Will be a good pug. Yeah, fuck, that's a good one.
- 1:16:56Speaker 4: There's a spongeboble one like the Magic conk Shell. He'd
- 1:16:59Speaker 4: want that bullshit. I don't even know what that is,
- 1:17:02Speaker 4: but I know that's a look up the Magic conk Shell.
- 1:17:04Speaker 4: Give JP the Magic conk Shell. Well, stop this programming
- 1:17:16Speaker 4: so you can watch five minutes of the Magic conk Shell.
- 1:17:21Speaker 7: Uh so the teleports the I don't know if that's
- 1:17:26Speaker 7: from SpongeBob So there might be multiple lores of the
- 1:17:29Speaker 7: Magic conch, but teleports the player to the ocean.
- 1:17:33Speaker 6: But he's so mad right now, he's on that damn
- 1:17:36Speaker 6: cruise of spotty WiFi getting mad.
- 1:17:38Speaker 4: I'm trying to see when he gets himself in there
- 1:17:41Speaker 4: on the wave. He's filming his boys hitting the wave.
- 1:17:44Speaker 4: Oh yeah, the flowboard.
- 1:17:46Speaker 6: Yeah, JP athletic like that.
- 1:17:51Speaker 5: He had himself number one. I think when he did well,
- 1:17:54Speaker 5: you guys all did the pot that podcast.
- 1:17:56Speaker 4: We all at each other number one. Yeah, see I didn't.
- 1:17:58Speaker 4: I was honest. Everybody officially done that podcast, xpt us
- 1:18:03Speaker 4: coop and yell.
- 1:18:07Speaker 5: We gotta get on it, man, do we?
- 1:18:09Speaker 4: Yeah? I think you and I had a verbal agreement
- 1:18:12Speaker 4: about that show. Yeah, but it seems like if they're
- 1:18:15Speaker 4: getting everybody, you might as well just jump on in
- 1:18:17Speaker 4: for the boys.
- 1:18:18Speaker 6: What's the name of the show? Two pennies in a dime,
- 1:18:21Speaker 6: two dimes in a token?
- 1:18:25Speaker 4: All right, yeah, we'll do the show. Yeah, I'm not
- 1:18:29Speaker 4: saying like we have to have some verbal If you
- 1:18:32Speaker 4: guys are watching this, we'll do your show. Now, we'll
- 1:18:36Speaker 4: do your show. I wonder if they want us together
- 1:18:39Speaker 4: a separate I'm sure i'd say separate. Yeah, I mean
- 1:18:44Speaker 4: they did everybody else separate really air it out on
- 1:18:48Speaker 4: two dimes in a token? How we really feel? Really
- 1:18:51Speaker 4: get down to the nitty gritty, no question.
- 1:18:55Speaker 6: They're asked us, who's most athletic?
- 1:18:58Speaker 4: I got my list?
- 1:19:00Speaker 5: All right, hopefully I've done enough recently.
- 1:19:06Speaker 6: Are we solid boys? Are we ready to get into
- 1:19:07Speaker 6: Troy Palamlu. Yeah, Well, tell what they look forward to
- 1:19:10Speaker 6: going into the show.
- 1:19:12Speaker 4: Football porn. Troy Palamalu is absolutely everything and more. He
- 1:19:19Speaker 4: talks about the strategy within the strategy of jumping over
- 1:19:22Speaker 4: the line of scrimmage and how too much strategizing that
- 1:19:25Speaker 4: he had to learn that he just had to go
- 1:19:26Speaker 4: off of vincetinct. I never think it, but the way
- 1:19:29Speaker 4: he described wanting to be the best safety the guys
- 1:19:33Speaker 4: that he watched breaking down film, the whole game within
- 1:19:37Speaker 4: the game of football is truly football porn, and it
- 1:19:41Speaker 4: exactly it is exactly what you want to hear about
- 1:19:43Speaker 4: from somebody like Troy Palamalu. And he even gives like,
- 1:19:46Speaker 4: you know, he kind of talks as much about like
- 1:19:49Speaker 4: what he did to become who he was and how
- 1:19:51Speaker 4: much effort was actually put into it, like practical things
- 1:19:54Speaker 4: that he did, like staying up late, like even just
- 1:19:56Speaker 4: obsessing over YouTube videos and watching other plays and what that,
- 1:20:01Speaker 4: what wrinkled they would have in their game, how he
- 1:20:02Speaker 4: would implement it into is when he would fuck up
- 1:20:05Speaker 4: and have to talk to the coaches on the sideline
- 1:20:06Speaker 4: about it, about why he was making that decision, how
- 1:20:09Speaker 4: the steel the Steelers were the Steelers back when they
- 1:20:11Speaker 4: won the Super Bowl. What else did he kind of
- 1:20:14Speaker 4: talk about. He talks about even being a dad now
- 1:20:16Speaker 4: and he's still kind of that same guy where he's
- 1:20:18Speaker 4: on Instagram looking up you know, Dad's who he He's
- 1:20:22Speaker 4: like fond of that. He's like, Okay, this seems like
- 1:20:24Speaker 4: they do it the right way, Like what do they do?
- 1:20:26Speaker 4: Like he very much has that student approach and curiosity
- 1:20:29Speaker 4: to everything. And he was fucking awesome. I hate that
- 1:20:32Speaker 4: it was only thirty minutes long. About thirty minutes long,
- 1:20:34Speaker 4: but he had to. We had him at Super Bowl
- 1:20:36Speaker 4: week and he was jumping around everywhere kind of like
- 1:20:38Speaker 4: doing a thing for Doritos. I believe, like, uh, Freedo lay,
- 1:20:43Speaker 4: Freedo lay. And so we didn't get him his longest,
- 1:20:46Speaker 4: but he did say he would come back on the bus.
- 1:20:47Speaker 4: He said he'd come back.
- 1:20:48Speaker 7: On to me.
- 1:20:49Speaker 6: It was very interesting how somebody who was so consumed
- 1:20:51Speaker 6: by the game of football, when he stepped away from
- 1:20:53Speaker 6: the game, he is fully immersed. He is out on football.
- 1:20:56Speaker 6: He doesn't really follow like when we when he first
- 1:20:59Speaker 6: walked in before he started shooting, he was like, I'm
- 1:21:00Speaker 6: a little nervous, and I was like why. He's like,
- 1:21:02Speaker 6: I don't follow ball. I don't you know, I don't
- 1:21:04Speaker 6: really talk about ball a whole. I was like, dude,
- 1:21:06Speaker 6: we're gonna talk about the glory days and get to
- 1:21:07Speaker 6: know you, like just knowing that seemed like he was like, okay,
- 1:21:10Speaker 6: good because he thought he was gonna have to break
- 1:21:11Speaker 6: down film or something like that, and he obviously wasn't
- 1:21:14Speaker 6: extremely familiar with our show.
- 1:21:15Speaker 4: But it was awesome.
- 1:21:16Speaker 6: Dude, guys an absolute legend. His process to just talking
- 1:21:19Speaker 6: about guys, I thought was one of the cooler things.
- 1:21:21Speaker 4: Yeah, stories about Dick Lebo. There's a I'll let you
- 1:21:24Speaker 4: guys listen to the show.
- 1:21:25Speaker 6: But there was a thing that Dick used to do
- 1:21:27Speaker 6: with the Titans that he did every single year, and
- 1:21:29Speaker 6: he knew this whole story verbatim, and it was it
- 1:21:32Speaker 6: was very cool when you uh and It's obviously started
- 1:21:34Speaker 6: with the Steelers, so that was awesome. Before we get
- 1:21:36Speaker 6: in that episode, let's talk about cars dot Com. Cars

- 1:22:06Speaker 6: enjoy big hugs and tiny kisses.
- 1:22:09Speaker 4: Welcome to bus with the boys. We have an absolute
- 1:22:12Speaker 4: legend with us, Troy Polamalu, man, it is it is
- 1:22:15Speaker 4: an honor to have you. Let's yeah outstanding.
- 1:22:23Speaker 9: Obviously here on behalf of Freedo Lace Right, freed Lace.
- 1:22:28Speaker 4: Cool Ranch Cool, Wherever the fun wants to take you,
- 1:22:32Speaker 4: it is Freedo lay Right. Before the pod, I was
- 1:22:35Speaker 4: kind of asking off like us, like what have you
- 1:22:37Speaker 4: been up to? Like You've always done a very good
- 1:22:38Speaker 4: job of staying under the radar, and he was getting
- 1:22:40Speaker 4: into uh, his two boys fifteen and thirteen. Uh, they're
- 1:22:43Speaker 4: starting getting to think of it with sports and and
- 1:22:46Speaker 4: what I wanted to ask is, what's it like being like, ah,
- 1:22:49Speaker 4: you know, being like one of those sport fathers, being
- 1:22:51Speaker 4: those sport dads, like navigating that you're talking about teaching
- 1:22:53Speaker 4: them hard work and everything else.
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: Well, to tell you the truth, like, once sports are
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: over with and you know, like you get into the stands,
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: you become no different than any other dad. That's what
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: I realized, Like, first of all, for my children, they
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: don't give it. They don't care what I say, whether
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: it's about football or not.
- 1:23:13Speaker 4: Really.
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: Secondly is I don't like you know, the crazy sports
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: that thing is. I've embodied that completely. I've tried my
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: best not to be that person. So it's pretty funny.
- 1:23:25Speaker 2: I've been all that.
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: I've been the sports dad, I've been the coach, I've
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: been all that. And that's that's kind of been my
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: experience since it's football, to be honest with you, we
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: had Ed.
- 1:23:34Speaker 6: McCaffrey on here. He's talking about obviously his son Christian,
- 1:23:37Speaker 6: He's playing in the Super Bowl and all that, and
- 1:23:39Speaker 6: Christian was on last year talking about all the crazy
- 1:23:41Speaker 6: things his dad would do during the recruiting process, putting
- 1:23:43Speaker 6: weights in his socks were weighed more.
- 1:23:45Speaker 4: Ivy during in the middle of school, pick him up
- 1:23:47Speaker 4: for a night and get an iv He went to
- 1:23:49Speaker 4: a private.
- 1:23:49Speaker 9: School and he had to wear jeans, and his dad
- 1:23:51Speaker 9: be like, jeans a little heavy for game day?
- 1:23:52Speaker 4: Huh.
- 1:23:54Speaker 6: Do you catch yourself like obviously having the success you
- 1:23:57Speaker 6: did in the NFL and you see your young boys,
- 1:24:00Speaker 6: so yeah, no soda, no carportation, had the belly like
- 1:24:04Speaker 6: you see your your.
- 1:24:05Speaker 9: Own boys like starting their process.
- 1:24:08Speaker 6: Is do you ever catch yourself being like if you know, hey,
- 1:24:10Speaker 6: sleep routine, diet, all that, because when I mean, all
- 1:24:15Speaker 6: men didn't play in the league, but you know, we
- 1:24:16Speaker 6: just kind.
- 1:24:17Speaker 9: Of ate whatever. Right, it was high school.
- 1:24:18Speaker 4: You kind of just figured out as you win.
- 1:24:19Speaker 9: But you having that knowledge, have you tried to put
- 1:24:21Speaker 9: that on your kids at all? Yeah?
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: But then you but but then you evolve towards doing
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: with the most optimal for your body and for your health.
- 1:24:28Speaker 2: Yeah, it's kind of tough to be honest with you.
- 1:24:30Speaker 2: I'm geared.
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: I'm geared very much type A, although I may not
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: act that way, you know, so I am very regimented
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: and how I view things and how I do things,
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: so funny enough is yeah, absolutely, I've watched that Ed McCaffrey,
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: like his his inside the NFL and everything that he'd done.
- 1:24:51Speaker 2: That's how I'm sessed.
- 1:24:52Speaker 4: I am.
- 1:24:52Speaker 2: I study other fathers to make sure like.
- 1:24:56Speaker 3: Dad.
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: So so aside from that, you know a very infamous
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: father and who I think is unfortunately characterized that way.
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: Marv Marinovitch was my trainer, so he was kind of
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: like seen as the ultimate sports sta and you know,
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: bestowing all of his knowledge on his son. So yeah,
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: there is a certain balance there, absolutely, but without a doubt.
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: You know, as you know and you learn in the
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: in the NFL, is it's always the little things. You know,
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: everybody does the big things with always the little things
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: and the accumulation those little things that kind of make
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: the big difference in those inches that are millimeters that
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: you try to gain throughout the sport. And for my
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: son's it's a little bit of that. You know, I'm
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: not telling them, you know, wear jeans or not wear
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: jeans or.
- 1:25:43Speaker 2: Any of that sort of stuff. Without a doubt.
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: I tell him how important sleep is, how important I'm
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: saying this for all the other kids out there, is
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: you know, the most important thing for kids and for
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: any athlete is sleep, hydration, and then the diet, and
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: then the therapy and then the training. So the things
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: that are under your control or the sleep, the diet,
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: you know, and the hydration. So that's one thing that
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: I am very you know, strict on, is like, no, man,
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: you got a hydrate if you want to play two sports,
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: you want to play five sports or whatever the case is. Like,
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: these things are really important. So I am pretty strict
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: about some of those things.
- 1:26:15Speaker 4: Are they both? Are they both very different? Is one
- 1:26:18Speaker 4: more type a? Is one more like you that you
- 1:26:20Speaker 4: feel like, Okay, I can coach him this way and
- 1:26:21Speaker 4: coach the other one this way? Oh?
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely, they're They're exact opposite. One's very geared towards uh,
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: trying to please everybody, and one of them is very
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: much about himself.
- 1:26:32Speaker 4: Yeah, they understand, I'm sure they do. But finding like
- 1:26:37Speaker 4: that interest of like, oh my dad played at this
- 1:26:40Speaker 4: high level. He's this hall of fame guy, like the
- 1:26:43Speaker 4: things he says, I'm more of a sponger. Is it
- 1:26:45Speaker 4: very much that you know, since you're the dad, one
- 1:26:48Speaker 4: you're out the other at times, and then their coaches
- 1:26:50Speaker 4: something like I've been trying to tell you this the
- 1:26:51Speaker 4: whole time.
- 1:26:52Speaker 2: To be honest, I joke that my kids are like that.
- 1:26:55Speaker 2: But they aren't. They're very there. I'm very blessed. They
- 1:26:59Speaker 2: listen really well.
- 1:27:01Speaker 5: They do.
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: Uh you look up old highlights and things like that,
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: but you know they I'm very fortunate. Again, we have
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: a very a very great relationship with my two boys.
- 1:27:11Speaker 4: Do you love looking back at usc and and and
- 1:27:13Speaker 4: and watching that hit you put on Old Boy? What
- 1:27:15Speaker 4: was it on Special Teams?
- 1:27:17Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: I don't even know what you're talking about, man, And
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: funny enough, funny enough my on that hit?
- 1:27:21Speaker 2: It was Aaron Locket, Yeah it was.
- 1:27:23Speaker 4: It was.
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: It was an ill timed hit. But what I always
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: tell people is that was the third one. The two
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: before that.
- 1:27:30Speaker 9: We're perfectly timed. So if you were to watch the
- 1:27:32Speaker 9: whole game, you would to saw the two before that.
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: But uh, my wife was like I had met her
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: at that time right before, and she was like, man,
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: that guy's a cheap player. I hope I never meet
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: that guy. I'd say something terrible to Hi'm like, yeah,
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: I wouldn't want to meet him.
- 1:27:46Speaker 2: There is a piece of crap. He's later found out
- 1:27:49Speaker 2: it was obviously me.
- 1:27:50Speaker 4: But yeah, so with the.
- 1:27:54Speaker 6: Kids, like sticking on that for just one more, like
- 1:27:56Speaker 6: it was ever a point in your life. As your
- 1:27:58Speaker 6: kids get older, they discover they go to school, their
- 1:28:01Speaker 6: kids are talking about your kids, friends are talking about
- 1:28:04Speaker 6: their their dad, and like tempering those expectations as they
- 1:28:07Speaker 6: kind of go to sports, like, hey, you don't have
- 1:28:09Speaker 6: to like the goal is not to like achieve what
- 1:28:11Speaker 6: I did. It's like to be the best version of yourself.
- 1:28:13Speaker 6: Did you ever have like were they ever struggling with
- 1:28:15Speaker 6: that anything?
- 1:28:16Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: I think naturally they I me and my son plays
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: football and they both they both be playing tackle football.
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: So I think naturally they're going to deal with that.
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: And I meant, you guys have been in this all
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: We've been all the same circles. You know, these things
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: aren't to it an advantage to anybody right in our circle.
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: But I tell them to embrace that. You know, that's
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: only going to harden them, make them even better, you know,
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: in a lot of ways. And also is you know
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: I've I've also been on the other side of where
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: I've always been the jealous athlete, always trying to knock
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: down the who's ever on top, and and you know,
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: there was a lot of bad characteristics that I had
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: growing up because of that. So, you know, I try
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: to coach my son like how to deal with people
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: that have similar character of how I was, you know,
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: growing up very jealous, very competitive, very alpha type. So
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: what they do have is they have, you know, somebody
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: who's got a lot of life experience, you know, that's
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: able to impart a lot of knowledge. And to their credit,
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: they're great listeners.

- 1:31:19Speaker 4: Now, I'm gonna take it before and after for the
- 1:31:21Speaker 4: people since they're advertising with the boys right now, back
- 1:31:24Speaker 4: to the episode Fall dot com. Who are some of
- 1:31:26Speaker 4: those Safeties that you were jealous of? Oh?
- 1:31:28Speaker 2: All of them, to be honest with you, but are
- 1:31:30Speaker 2: there a couple or is there one that you're just like?
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: So every year, every year I watch five Safeties and
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: I would literally watch every single one of their plays,
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: and I would make a highlight tape and a low
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: light tape of all of them. So that's what I
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: did throughout my whole career. Ed was somebody I watched
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: every I watched every single one of his plays. So
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: obviously Ed is somebody who admired. But there's a bunch
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: of guys like Donnavan, Darius Bob Sanders, a lot of
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: guys that don't get a lot of credit that, you know,
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: we're Hall of Fame type caliber players that didn't have
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: lengked and and to be very frank, man, I was
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: in the most beautiful situation in Pittsburgh. I got a
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: Hall of Fame defensive coordinator, hall of fame head coach.
- 1:32:11Speaker 3: Man.
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: You could put any of these players in my position,
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: they would have been just as successful as I am.
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: I studied, I was obsessed with the game. I broke
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: down safeties in this way and even cornerbacks in this way.
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: So I don't say these things humbly. I see, I
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: study these guys. I studied everything about them, you know.
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: I studied Father, I studied MacCaffrey, I studied Marinvy. I'm
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: not telling you so these sort of things aren't aren't like,
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: that's obviously who I am. Maybe a part of my
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: success as a football player, but it's it's just who
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: I am. It's the things of how I view, you know,
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: trying to be a father or trying to help train
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: athletes or whatever the case is.
- 1:32:51Speaker 4: Were you very were was all this this student of
- 1:32:54Speaker 4: the preparation Did you have all this in usc and
- 1:32:58Speaker 4: it helped carry you into the league or did it
- 1:33:00Speaker 4: obviously develops over time, but did you kind of have
- 1:33:02Speaker 4: that sense of urgency in preparation at college? No?
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: I absolutely developed it over time. And what I did
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: is I studied the greats. Like if anybody at this
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: period of time knows, like saw how Ed Reid how
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: much he talked about how important film was, and you
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: didn't listen to that, you know what I mean? Like this,
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: he was talking in college about this stuff, and I'm
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: listening to him in college and so so like all
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: of these sort of things became habits for me. You know,
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: you hear here and there about what Tom Brady is
- 1:33:32Speaker 1: doing and all these guys about health, wellness, longevity and
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: you know, how to keep a sharper edge, and you know,
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: you hear about how other athletes rob you know, like
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: Gilbert Reene is talking about how he watched Kobe Bryant
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: play and how he learned from these guys. And honestly,
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: it's very simple in that way. You know, you got
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: to have a student mindset in the sport nothing. You're
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: not going to be original in anything. There's a lot
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: of great players that have done a lot of great
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: things and and and you've guys walked in these shoes.
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: It's no secret, man, It's it's sacrifice, it's grit, it's
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: hard work. It's no special talent that anybody else has.
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: So you know, as long that to me is it
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: was my mindset. So that's why I learned from guys
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: like Ed, guys like Donovan Darius.
- 1:34:17Speaker 5: A lot of.
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: Safeties that I studied that aren't quite you know, very
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: famous out there.
- 1:34:24Speaker 6: When you were talking about like Hall of Fame decordinators,
- 1:34:26Speaker 6: dick LeBell, he was with the Tennessee Titans for a year,
- 1:34:29Speaker 6: and this is a guy who like walks into.
- 1:34:31Speaker 4: A room and you're like, holy shit, dude, that's dick Lebe. Yeah.
- 1:34:34Speaker 4: And he's a legend.
- 1:34:34Speaker 6: And there's so many things that we went and played
- 1:34:36Speaker 6: the Steelers on Thursday football. We got destroyed. It was
- 1:34:39Speaker 6: like it was ab catching the ball in the back
- 1:34:41Speaker 6: of his head. It was just an absolutely they molly
- 1:34:43Speaker 6: wopped us. But like he brought all these other players
- 1:34:46Speaker 6: in these Hall of Fame dudes, I is a Kessel
- 1:34:49Speaker 6: Kesel Yep. He bought him and a bunch of other
- 1:34:51Speaker 6: guys and they had conversations with us. But one of
- 1:34:53Speaker 6: the things they always would tell amazing stories about Dick
- 1:34:55Speaker 6: and I got there was one time for Christmas, right
- 1:34:57Speaker 6: around Christmas time, we'd have a team meeting this with
- 1:35:00Speaker 6: you guys. So he sat and he read the night
- 1:35:02Speaker 6: before Christmas in front of the whole team.
- 1:35:03Speaker 4: No he didn't, we did read it.
- 1:35:04Speaker 9: He didn't really cited the entire.
- 1:35:07Speaker 6: Book or story like verbatim, and so like, are there
- 1:35:11Speaker 6: any like some dicloboisms that maybe the world doesn't know
- 1:35:15Speaker 6: about as much?
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: Well for to extend on that story though, this is
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: something he did every year, so it was like a
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: tradition on the last game before Christmas. And to me,
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: I always look forward to that every year because I mean,
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: you experienced it, you understand like the level of like
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: you kind of look around here, like, dang man, like.
- 1:35:34Speaker 2: This guy's reciting the whole poem.
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: He writes an intro and you know, an intro to
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: it that he wrote himself, that like is perfectly in
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: line with the entire poem.
- 1:35:43Speaker 2: And then you to me what I would loved? What
- 1:35:46Speaker 2: I loved at those.
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: Moments, I would look around at all the younger guys
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: and then they that's when they like would really start
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: to say, man, I'm part of something special and very different,
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: Like they don't do this normally different at you know,
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: in the NFL. So to me, that was always really
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: special thing that he would always do. In fact, even
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: to this day, on the night before Christmas, I'll pull
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: up the video on YouTube and my family will watch.
- 1:36:08Speaker 2: It as well.
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: But Kosa bo Is, he's I mean, you experienced them
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: for a year. But and in my career he was
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: everything to me. I mean he was came in my
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: second year and we left the Steelers together. Man, every
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: every day was like a like a like a like
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: a like a there was like a.
- 1:36:28Speaker 2: Wide sage moment with him. It was like whoa, that
- 1:36:30Speaker 2: was profound, like thank you for that.
- 1:36:32Speaker 4: You know.
- 1:36:33Speaker 9: It was just like every day was that.
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: And and you don't get that from coaches that you like,
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: you know what I mean, Like coaches you get different
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: type of wisdom from he got gave like sage advice.
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: So and it came like at like like he was
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: never a yell er, He was never a cusser, you know.
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: But so it was just just came like in a
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: very real sense, and especially the fact that he's a
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: Hall of Fame player.
- 1:37:00Speaker 4: You know.
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: The funny things that he would always do is like
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: he would come to dB line he just walked down
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: you go twelve, fifteen, twenty seven, fifty five. He's like,
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: all of you guys don't amount to the amount of
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: interceptions that I have. You would literally just go like that, like, yep,
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: that's fifty five all you guys combined sixty three over early.
- 1:37:23Speaker 2: So yeah, he was He was awesome.
- 1:37:25Speaker 6: Was his was the beauty of his coaching. The consistency.
- 1:37:28Speaker 6: Consistency like having him from a year two to when
- 1:37:31Speaker 6: you finished, did he ever kind of waiver?
- 1:37:33Speaker 4: It? Never?
- 1:37:34Speaker 2: Oh, absolutely absolutely not.
- 1:37:36Speaker 5: But also like.
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: You know he I think that's one thing is is
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: his consistency. But like I don't know, like it wasn't
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: like he changed his matches, it got stale and none
- 1:37:47Speaker 1: of it. Never did that, but always kept us excited
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: and happy.
- 1:37:51Speaker 2: I don't know why. It was just that that level
- 1:37:53Speaker 2: of respect that we had for him.
- 1:37:55Speaker 6: Such a unique like way to go about things. I
- 1:37:57Speaker 6: feel like the coaching world, at least when we grew
- 1:37:59Speaker 6: up in was like more yelling, more intensity, and there
- 1:38:02Speaker 6: was like such a calmness about him everywhere he walked,
- 1:38:05Speaker 6: he comes see you, he remember everybody's name. Tap you
- 1:38:07Speaker 6: on the shoulders you left, gentle, tap on the shoulder.
- 1:38:10Speaker 9: You're like, man, we had a moment.
- 1:38:12Speaker 4: He first time you experienced somebody like that too. You're
- 1:38:14Speaker 4: just thinking, like, Okay, there's another way that goes about it.
- 1:38:16Speaker 4: I'm kind of receptive to this style.
- 1:38:18Speaker 1: Like he's he like told me one day is like
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: he's like he just for the heck of it, he
- 1:38:24Speaker 1: went like four hundred days eating a cheeseburger every day,
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: So he tried to do something like.
- 1:38:28Speaker 9: That with like you know what I mean, like like change.
- 1:38:34Speaker 4: But we interrupt this episode to bring you body Armors

- 1:39:21Speaker 4: I'm so fascinated with the way you were talking about
- 1:39:25Speaker 4: your preparation and being kind of obsessed with like watching
- 1:39:27Speaker 4: everybody else and kind of adding those parts of the game.
- 1:39:29Speaker 4: I know we talk about doing things like that and
- 1:39:32Speaker 4: just that that that level of of detail. Could you
- 1:39:37Speaker 4: you have your style of play of like being up
- 1:39:39Speaker 4: on the line of scrimmage, rolling to the middle of
- 1:39:41Speaker 4: the field, jumping over the line of scrimmage, like doing
- 1:39:45Speaker 4: all these like unique things. And uh, was there a
- 1:39:49Speaker 4: time because I feel like when you're a player and
- 1:39:52Speaker 4: you want to go make a play, right coach coach
- 1:39:54Speaker 4: will be in the film, I'm like, yeah, you make
- 1:39:55Speaker 4: the decision. You better make a play or it wouldn't
- 1:39:57Speaker 4: work out. Like, was there a time where you're studying
- 1:40:00Speaker 4: these other guys and you're thinking, Okay, ed Reed just
- 1:40:03Speaker 4: did this or this this guy just happened, Like I'm
- 1:40:05Speaker 4: going to start adding this wrinkle to my book, and
- 1:40:07Speaker 4: then when that moment did happen, You're like Okay, the
- 1:40:09Speaker 4: leash of Palamlo gets longer because like, hey, he's going
- 1:40:12Speaker 4: out here and making these plays.
- 1:40:14Speaker 1: So oh yeah, there's there's absolutely a lot of things
- 1:40:17Speaker 1: for Ed in particular that he would do that I'm like, oh, man,
- 1:40:21Speaker 1: I need to incorporate that. And and funny thing is
- 1:40:24Speaker 1: that's what I would use Scout team for. To be
- 1:40:26Speaker 1: honest with you, I was like, I want to do
- 1:40:27Speaker 1: Scouts Team. I want to do Scout Team because I'm like, oh, well,
- 1:40:29Speaker 1: you know, I want to try some of the things
- 1:40:31Speaker 1: I've seen how some of these other safeties do you know.
- 1:40:34Speaker 1: One thing that I try to tell people about football
- 1:40:37Speaker 1: is it's a It's it's a hard sport to get
- 1:40:40Speaker 1: really good at in a sense because we spend our
- 1:40:44Speaker 1: off season working out. So like the mentality is every
- 1:40:47Speaker 1: off season the only way that we can get better
- 1:40:49Speaker 1: is to get bigger, stronger, and faster. You know, it's
- 1:40:51Speaker 1: not get better at our skill development. So for me,
- 1:40:55Speaker 1: I realized that, man, in order for as this for
- 1:40:58Speaker 1: a safety to become better, I need to get more
- 1:41:00Speaker 1: reps at practice. So I needed, like Seymour, I needed
- 1:41:03Speaker 1: to just continue to see it. So that's where that's
- 1:41:06Speaker 1: where I really started to change my practice habits to
- 1:41:09Speaker 1: like get more reps on the field so that I
- 1:41:12Speaker 1: could I could see see more. I actually learned that
- 1:41:16Speaker 1: from a book of the ten Thousand Hours book I
- 1:41:18Speaker 1: forget Yeah Outliers and just talking about like that maximized
- 1:41:23Speaker 1: that rep. So I was like, man, I need to
- 1:41:25Speaker 1: maximize reps on the field. So whenever I would go
- 1:41:27Speaker 1: and do scout team, that's where I was maximizing the reps.
- 1:41:31Speaker 1: But then I would also incorporate the things that I
- 1:41:33Speaker 1: saw on film, like oh Man ed disguis cover one
- 1:41:35Speaker 1: this way to make it look like cover six. So
- 1:41:38Speaker 1: he baited that front side post that they wouldn't throw
- 1:41:41Speaker 1: and cover three, but they would throw and cover six.
- 1:41:43Speaker 2: You know that he would do these genius type.
- 1:41:45Speaker 1: Things like oh man and maybe oh they call cover one, Hey,
- 1:41:48Speaker 1: let's make it look like six. And you know, these
- 1:41:50Speaker 1: sort of things that you could practice and Ryan would
- 1:41:53Speaker 1: be out there or Chris Hope, you know, the other
- 1:41:55Speaker 1: safety would be out there, so we'd be, you know,
- 1:41:57Speaker 1: practicing these guys together. The other thing was at Pittsburgh.
- 1:42:02Speaker 1: The unique thing that I hadn't as a role was
- 1:42:05Speaker 1: my rookie year. They maybe play safety. They may play safety,
- 1:42:08Speaker 1: both safeties, which were two different positions at the time,
- 1:42:11Speaker 1: and then both nickel and the dime so end cornerback.
- 1:42:14Speaker 1: So I was end up being like the big safety
- 1:42:17Speaker 1: on corner. So I literally played almost every position on defense,
- 1:42:19Speaker 1: and then on sometimes on three man rushes, I'd be
- 1:42:22Speaker 1: the fourth rusher, so I could run a text I
- 1:42:25Speaker 1: can run the X game with some with the with
- 1:42:28Speaker 1: the DN, so you could literally say I played every position.
- 1:42:31Speaker 1: What was really cool about that. Terrible about that was
- 1:42:34Speaker 1: I had to learn them all, which was terrible because
- 1:42:37Speaker 1: my whole rookie year I gave up I promised, I
- 1:42:39Speaker 1: gave up a touchdown a game and it was I'm serious.
- 1:42:43Speaker 1: What's funny about that is my second year, if any
- 1:42:46Speaker 1: rookie it would have come in and done that, I
- 1:42:48Speaker 1: would have been like, get him out of the game.
- 1:42:50Speaker 1: Like my standard had been crazy different. But anyway, when
- 1:42:55Speaker 1: you look at an offense and then you see, hey man,
- 1:42:57Speaker 1: they attack you in this way, and I'm a safety,
- 1:43:00Speaker 1: I'm like, I play every position. I know what everybody's doing.
- 1:43:03Speaker 1: If I know the ball's going there, coach, I'm just
- 1:43:06Speaker 1: gonna switch with him. I'm gonna say all right, you
- 1:43:09Speaker 1: know linebacker, you play safety. I'm gonna play linebacker because
- 1:43:12Speaker 1: I know if I if you play it right, but
- 1:43:15Speaker 1: I know the play, I'm gonna play blow it up.
- 1:43:19Speaker 1: So for me, it was that's that's that's kind of
- 1:43:21Speaker 1: where I started really developed. It's hard as seeing. Man,
- 1:43:24Speaker 1: I'm knowing everybody's role, and if I know that the
- 1:43:28Speaker 1: ball is gonna go there, I'm just gonna switch positions
- 1:43:30Speaker 1: with him.
- 1:43:30Speaker 4: So you would do that in real time in the game.
- 1:43:32Speaker 4: In real time in the game, this when they wouldn't
- 1:43:34Speaker 4: be a practicing, you'd be like, okay, I have a
- 1:43:36Speaker 4: really good incline.
- 1:43:36Speaker 9: It started.
- 1:43:37Speaker 1: I started getting smart enough to know that when I
- 1:43:39Speaker 1: would do this and practice, the coaches would say you
- 1:43:41Speaker 1: can't do that. I'm like, all right, I'll just wait
- 1:43:43Speaker 1: for the game to do that. And then during the games,
- 1:43:45Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, but you know I'm not talking about
- 1:43:48Speaker 1: I'm also giving up blitz this. I'm also saying, hey, James,
- 1:43:50Speaker 1: you'd be better and this was this blitz than I
- 1:43:52Speaker 1: am because I know you're gonna get the running back.
- 1:43:54Speaker 4: I won't.
- 1:43:55Speaker 1: I'll get the running back too, but you know, same thing.
- 1:44:00Speaker 1: So it's like the same thing you know, like I
- 1:44:01Speaker 1: know I'm gonna get the tight end. Let's switch positions
- 1:44:04Speaker 1: because I'll rush a degap, you rush, you rush contained
- 1:44:06Speaker 1: because I'll get the tackle.
- 1:44:08Speaker 9: You get the tight end.
- 1:44:09Speaker 1: So, like, you know, these little nuances that you can
- 1:44:12Speaker 1: make everybody better. Everybody didn't think like, oh well, why
- 1:44:14Speaker 1: would you switch the place?
- 1:44:15Speaker 9: Are you kidding me?
- 1:44:16Speaker 1: James versus the tight end and me versus the tackle.
- 1:44:18Speaker 1: Of course I'm gonna lose. He's gonna win one hundred
- 1:44:21Speaker 1: percent of the time.
- 1:44:21Speaker 9: Yeah, So that that's what.
- 1:44:22Speaker 4: That's what.
- 1:44:23Speaker 1: What what started to make our defense really roll together,
- 1:44:26Speaker 1: and what's started to hurt our defense late in my
- 1:44:28Speaker 1: career is you get rookies out there.
- 1:44:30Speaker 9: I'm like, hey man, you got curl of flights, Like
- 1:44:31Speaker 9: what's curled the flat? You keep me doing that?
- 1:44:37Speaker 4: I'm like, oh man, we interrupt this episode to bring
- 1:44:39Speaker 4: you Verizon. Verizon.
- 1:44:41Speaker 6: You already know that Verizon is the network America relies on.
- 1:44:44Speaker 6: But did you know that you can get the network
- 1:44:46Speaker 6: you want for your Mitch? Mitch, all good, But did
- 1:44:51Speaker 6: you know you can get the network get the network
- 1:44:53Speaker 6: you want for your phone and your home. Get Verizon
- 1:44:57Speaker 6: for both mobile and home and safe, so you you
- 1:45:00Speaker 6: can make sure whatever whatever it is you're following this
- 1:45:03Speaker 6: year's Oscar movies, the hockey playoffs, the Sharps football draft projections,
- 1:45:08Speaker 6: It's all good whether you're at home or not at home.
- 1:45:11Speaker 4: And when you.
- 1:45:11Speaker 6: Switch and get a deal on the iPhone fifteen pro
- 1:45:14Speaker 6: iPad and Apple watch se the network you want on
- 1:45:18Speaker 6: the tech you love, simply Better Together only on Verizon.
- 1:45:22Speaker 6: Visit your local Verizon store to shop or learn more.
- 1:45:25Speaker 4: Back to the episode, do you remember that first play
- 1:45:28Speaker 4: where that worked out, where you just kind of went
- 1:45:29Speaker 4: out of the box and took a shot and it
- 1:45:32Speaker 4: happened to work well to where it's like, okay, you
- 1:45:35Speaker 4: know it.
- 1:45:36Speaker 9: Was more or less that happens in like coverage.
- 1:45:40Speaker 2: You know, the coaches will be yelling me, hey, it's
- 1:45:43Speaker 2: covered two.
- 1:45:43Speaker 9: It's covered two. It's covered two.
- 1:45:44Speaker 1: You just be in the half and I'm showing cover three.
- 1:45:48Speaker 1: But I'm telling the corner, hey, you got the half,
- 1:45:50Speaker 1: I'm gonna take the flat.
- 1:45:53Speaker 2: So I'm showing cover three the whole time, and.
- 1:45:54Speaker 13: Coach is yelling out the side, hey, hey, you gotta
- 1:45:57Speaker 13: be back, you gotta be back, And I'm like trying
- 1:46:00Speaker 13: to ignore him and then all of a sudden, it's like,
- 1:46:02Speaker 13: you know, I'll get to this sound like coach, I
- 1:46:03Speaker 13: just inverted with the corner.
- 1:46:05Speaker 1: I let him play the half. I played the you know,
- 1:46:08Speaker 1: I just want to give the quarterback a different look.
- 1:46:11Speaker 1: They've been calling this and cover three every time. So
- 1:46:15Speaker 1: those little things is what Coach Lebo started to allow us,
- 1:46:18Speaker 1: Like yeah, man, here's the call.
- 1:46:19Speaker 9: Make it right, you know what I mean?
- 1:46:21Speaker 1: Like just giving us that level of flexibility in a
- 1:46:23Speaker 1: lot of ways. We're talking about how coach Toalman does too.
- 1:46:26Speaker 6: How long did it take for a Coachbo to be like,
- 1:46:28Speaker 6: all right, understand, you think it's going to be a
- 1:46:31Speaker 6: point where you're supposed to be a coup two, but
- 1:46:32Speaker 6: you're showing cover three and you go to sideline and
- 1:46:34Speaker 6: it's like you can't do that. How many times did
- 1:46:37Speaker 6: it work? How many does it have to work? Before
- 1:46:39Speaker 6: they were like maybe he's onto something like yeah, I'm
- 1:46:44Speaker 6: I'm a.
- 1:46:44Speaker 1: Little bit of a politician too, you know, Like I
- 1:46:48Speaker 1: I would tell him you told me this though. If
- 1:46:50Speaker 1: you tell me it's one hundred percent run, then I'm
- 1:46:54Speaker 1: going to play one hundred percent run. Like, don't don't tell.
- 1:46:56Speaker 2: Me it's going to be something that it's not.
- 1:46:59Speaker 1: And that's what I try to tell the players, like
- 1:47:02Speaker 1: just don't study film to study film. You know, if
- 1:47:04Speaker 1: Ed taught us anything, man, it's like you make plays
- 1:47:07Speaker 1: studying film. Believe what you see is what he would
- 1:47:09Speaker 1: always say. I'm like, all right, I'll believe what I see.
- 1:47:12Speaker 1: So all of these like anyway, Yeah, it's like for.
- 1:47:16Speaker 4: All the kids out there listening, make sure you understand
- 1:47:17Speaker 4: your install first, know what to do, know how to
- 1:47:20Speaker 4: do it. But no, that is it's just cool like
- 1:47:22Speaker 4: hearing those stories. Like I remember I got to play
- 1:47:24Speaker 4: with Ryan Clark in his last year when he was
- 1:47:26Speaker 4: in Washington and I was starting to come into the
- 1:47:29Speaker 4: hull and get some play and everything else, and Ryan
- 1:47:31Speaker 4: at practice like he was somebody that was such a
- 1:47:33Speaker 4: student of the game. And you'd be out a practice
- 1:47:36Speaker 4: and you know how it is. It's like you want
- 1:47:37Speaker 4: to be a situational master and like whatever down in
- 1:47:40Speaker 4: distance it was, you'd hear Ryan back their chirp and like,
- 1:47:42Speaker 4: how pivotal was it. I'm sure that's what made your
- 1:47:45Speaker 4: defense great. Everybody having that level of standard of kind
- 1:47:48Speaker 4: of knowing every situation, know how to talk about it.
- 1:47:50Speaker 4: But as the huddle breaks, as the formations coming out,
- 1:47:54Speaker 4: emotion happening. But how beneficial was it to have like
- 1:47:57Speaker 4: a back end like that and somebody needs you, like Ryan.
- 1:48:00Speaker 1: Clark, it's everything, it's I meant, it's absolutely everything. And
- 1:48:05Speaker 1: it may not be like that in every organization, but
- 1:48:07Speaker 1: it's everything to me and everything to our defense because
- 1:48:11Speaker 1: the level of trust and exposure that we would consistently
- 1:48:14Speaker 1: put each other in is you know, it takes a
- 1:48:17Speaker 1: lot of that takes a lot of like cohesiveness to
- 1:48:20Speaker 1: do that. I meant, when we do some of this
- 1:48:23Speaker 1: manipulation on the back end, you have to understand you're
- 1:48:26Speaker 1: completely exposing somebody else. Oftentimes that was Ike, you know,
- 1:48:30Speaker 1: like hey, Ike, we're doing this over here. Sorry, you're
- 1:48:32Speaker 1: man a man Cover zero with their chat o Cho
- 1:48:35Speaker 1: Sinkle or Brandon Marshall.
- 1:48:37Speaker 9: You know, So we were.
- 1:48:38Speaker 1: Always like we that was the only reason why we
- 1:48:41Speaker 1: were allowed to do what we do is because you know,
- 1:48:43Speaker 1: Ryan's communicating Ike cornerback Brian McFadden there cover zero oftentimes
- 1:48:49Speaker 1: where you know, we want to do some cowboy type stuff,
- 1:48:52Speaker 1: but they they hold their own. They're the reason why
- 1:48:55Speaker 1: we were, you know, as successful as we were.
- 1:48:57Speaker 6: Man, Mike Tomlin, just I had the opportunity he coached
- 1:49:02Speaker 6: me at the Pro Bowl in twenty sixteen, and just
- 1:49:03Speaker 6: being around him and his presence was very like Dick
- 1:49:06Speaker 6: Lebo esque. Yeah, just more of a calming, more like
- 1:49:09Speaker 6: positive and confident. Can you just like elaborate on him
- 1:49:11Speaker 6: and his legacy as a Steelers head coach?
- 1:49:14Speaker 1: Man, I really enjoyed his podcast with Ryan. Ryan Clark
- 1:49:19Speaker 1: did a podcast with him, and I was just like, man,
- 1:49:21Speaker 1: I'm so happy people get to see Coach Tomlin like
- 1:49:24Speaker 1: like who he really is, because he's he's not he
- 1:49:30Speaker 1: That's who he is. That's who he is as a coach,
- 1:49:32Speaker 1: you know what I mean, Like I guess I guess
- 1:49:33Speaker 1: maybe like press conference, like it's like the He's like
- 1:49:36Speaker 1: the Bill Belichick and the press conference, you know, like
- 1:49:38Speaker 1: completely the opposite. But man, it was really cool to
- 1:49:42Speaker 1: see that level of who he is because when I
- 1:49:45Speaker 1: mean he was thirty four when I when he came
- 1:49:47Speaker 1: to coach the Steelers. I mean, it's it's amazing that
- 1:49:50Speaker 1: he was that young. And aside from that that he
- 1:49:53Speaker 1: had a family and had young children. So like these
- 1:49:56Speaker 1: kids that grew up in the locker room now that
- 1:49:58Speaker 1: you like kind of see him. So I don't know's
- 1:50:01Speaker 1: he's an amazing father, Uh coach. I meant later in
- 1:50:06Speaker 1: my career he would we would have DV sessions. I
- 1:50:09Speaker 1: learned so much from him about protection routes, based on
- 1:50:13Speaker 1: protections and all these different things. So he's incredible. Actually,
- 1:50:17Speaker 1: it's so fortunate to have him. Coach Kaward Dick Lebow.
- 1:50:21Speaker 1: That's why that's why I say humbly, but I say
- 1:50:24Speaker 1: in all sincerity, Man, you put anybody in my position. Man,
- 1:50:27Speaker 1: these guys are you can't do nothing but be a
- 1:50:31Speaker 1: Hall of Famer. To be very frank with you, how
- 1:50:33Speaker 1: was it that I know? And we're getting the wrap
- 1:50:35Speaker 1: up signal?
- 1:50:36Speaker 4: But I have to ask, like, how sick is it
- 1:50:38Speaker 4: knowing that you pulled off all those line of scrimmage plays?
- 1:50:43Speaker 4: I mean getting to watch back like diving over the
- 1:50:46Speaker 4: line of scrimmage, timing up snaps like that's pretty bad
- 1:50:49Speaker 4: because if it didn't work, yeah, it's.
- 1:50:53Speaker 1: Yeah, it's funny is it didn't work sometimes? But you know,
- 1:50:58Speaker 1: it goes back to the out liar's thing. What I
- 1:51:01Speaker 1: realized is that a safety needs to see everything, and
- 1:51:06Speaker 1: that means like not only the formation, not only the personnel,
- 1:51:10Speaker 1: but like how they break the huddle and you know this,
- 1:51:13Speaker 1: you know the difference between zero, silent count or on
- 1:51:17Speaker 1: two and the urgency that offensive lineman comes to you.
- 1:51:20Speaker 9: I say, like this, it's all on zero.
- 1:51:21Speaker 1: Man, They're gonna get up there and then they get
- 1:51:23Speaker 1: ready or if you know, these sort of sort of
- 1:51:25Speaker 1: game situations. So the funny thing about it is that's
- 1:51:28Speaker 1: where I started to develop this because I was like, man,
- 1:51:30Speaker 1: everybody breaks the line very differently. When offensive line they
- 1:51:34Speaker 1: come it's on two, they break with different sense of
- 1:51:36Speaker 1: urgency than when it's quick snap or silent count. And
- 1:51:40Speaker 1: when you start to see that, you also see it
- 1:51:41Speaker 1: when they run back to the huddle. So I would
- 1:51:44Speaker 1: always tell people watch the full length of the play,
- 1:51:46Speaker 1: as in, like how long the call it takes to
- 1:51:49Speaker 1: make the call, how long it takes for them to
- 1:51:51Speaker 1: run to the line, and all these things mean something.
- 1:51:55Speaker 1: So the funny thing is when it started to happen.
- 1:51:59Speaker 1: I say started happened is I was just reacting. I
- 1:52:01Speaker 1: had never thought about it. I was just like, oh, jumping,
- 1:52:05Speaker 1: and then to doing it, I'm like, oh man, oh wow,
- 1:52:07Speaker 1: that worked. It wasn't until I was like, okay, is
- 1:52:11Speaker 1: this game situation? Oh you gotta you gotta jump it.
- 1:52:13Speaker 1: And then that's when I would actually jump off side.
- 1:52:15Speaker 1: So I started to really understand how I was as
- 1:52:18Speaker 1: an athlete that I'm like, okay, you have to overly
- 1:52:21Speaker 1: prepare so that you can just be instinctial and be
- 1:52:24Speaker 1: free rather than like be a student out there that's
- 1:52:26Speaker 1: always like you know what I mean, I really just
- 1:52:29Speaker 1: had to go out.
- 1:52:29Speaker 4: There and be free.
- 1:52:31Speaker 1: So when I did jump, you know, and blitz and
- 1:52:34Speaker 1: do those sort of things, man, it was, I swear
- 1:52:36Speaker 1: to you, pure instinct. It was just like afterwards I
- 1:52:39Speaker 1: make it plain like, oh man, it was like it
- 1:52:41Speaker 1: was a crazy ride, but it wasn't when I was
- 1:52:43Speaker 1: thinking that's when I would jump offside and do it wrongly.
- 1:52:46Speaker 4: So it was funny.
- 1:52:48Speaker 9: Well, I know we got to leave one one one last,
- 1:52:50Speaker 9: This is it?
- 1:52:51Speaker 4: This is it right now?
- 1:52:53Speaker 6: Like as you as you became more famous and more
- 1:52:56Speaker 6: established as a player and all that, Like the hair
- 1:52:58Speaker 6: was always a thing that people like, that's how we
- 1:53:00Speaker 6: know it's Troy Paul Ballo. Did it ever get to
- 1:53:02Speaker 6: the point for you were like, I literally can't change
- 1:53:04Speaker 6: his look up ever, because this is this is.
- 1:53:06Speaker 9: Me now, I'm a mustache guy. Are you saying you
- 1:53:12Speaker 9: can never says to me this is my identity.
- 1:53:14Speaker 4: I love it.
- 1:53:15Speaker 6: I love it so much, but there's got to be
- 1:53:17Speaker 6: a point where're like, you know, maybe you wake up
- 1:53:18Speaker 6: and you have a little bed head.
- 1:53:19Speaker 9: You're like, man, it'd be so much easier if I
- 1:53:20Speaker 9: just kind of bicked it and let it run a
- 1:53:22Speaker 9: little bit.
- 1:53:22Speaker 1: A better way to put it is it was always
- 1:53:24Speaker 1: part of my identity before, So it wasn't like it's
- 1:53:27Speaker 1: something that had to hold on to. So it was
- 1:53:29Speaker 1: more or less like it was always my identity before
- 1:53:31Speaker 1: I even had it, And it was like it was
- 1:53:34Speaker 1: a specific identity. You know, like my my mother in law,
- 1:53:37Speaker 1: who is a classic as a classicist, very Greek classicist,
- 1:53:42Speaker 1: what always say all the greatest warriors through all time
- 1:53:45Speaker 1: had long hair. You know, you talked about Samurais, Native Americans,
- 1:53:48Speaker 1: the ancient Hebrews to you know, all of them Polynesians,
- 1:53:52Speaker 1: they all had long hair. So I was like, oh, okay,
- 1:53:55Speaker 1: I like that. I probably they probably had mustaches too,
- 1:53:59Speaker 1: though probably long as as well.
- 1:54:03Speaker 4: Thanks so much, man, This is awesome. This is awesome. Man,
- 1:54:07Speaker 4: It's it's been great having you. Make sure to subscribe, comment,
- 1:54:11Speaker 4: Thank you, thank you, Yeah.
