- 0:00Speaker 1: Haunted dolls you have seen them all over pop culture
- 0:03Speaker 1: but have you gone to your local antique market to
- 0:06Speaker 1: buy one no cool well i found out half an
- 0:08Speaker 1: hour away from me is an antique mall called southworks
- 0:11Speaker 1: where you can literally go in to a booth where
- 0:13Speaker 1: they have haunted doll adoptions so are you and me
- 0:16Speaker 1: gonna go there right now and choose one and then
- 0:18Speaker 1: come back and investigate it yeah we are let's get
- 0:20Speaker 1: at it wait doff made the trek the trek to
- 0:23Speaker 1: cambridge ontario My mom and I used to go to
- 0:26Speaker 1: this antique mall. It was like the biggest in Canada
- 0:28Speaker 1: and it used to be in this like giant factory.
- 0:29Speaker 1: But then the giant factory turned into apartments and now
- 0:32Speaker 1: this antique mall is in the bottom of this office building.
- 0:35Speaker 1: It's a weird vibe, but it's cool and at least
- 0:37Speaker 1: it's still open. So I'm nervous. I don't have any
- 0:40Speaker 1: like initial vibes. I haven't let myself feel it. I
- 0:42Speaker 1: want to like get in there and meet the dolls.
- 0:46Speaker 1: It feels so weird to always say that, but let's
- 0:48Speaker 1: go find our new bestie. How back rooms is this?
- 0:53Speaker 1: You just walk in and it just... I feel like
- 0:57Speaker 1: I'm in a horror movie. There's people. Here we go. Okay,
- 1:03Speaker 1: we are looking for 092. I like your eyes. I
- 1:11Speaker 1: like your eyes. Not the booth we're looking for, but
- 1:14Speaker 1: this doll is giving me the majorest vibes. How much
- 1:18Speaker 1: are you? Oh my gosh, I spot it. Haunted doll adoptions.
- 1:26Speaker 1: First up, we have Edith, who is an unmarked, likely
- 1:29Speaker 1: American or German manufactured doll. Apparently, she comes with her
- 1:33Speaker 1: own tiny doll, and her disposition is quiet, cautious, but
- 1:36Speaker 1: deeply attached, as if reluctant to be sat down again. Okay.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Then there was Elma. Elma comes with a small brass goblet,
- 1:45Speaker 1: and apparently she's gentle, observant, with a hint of quiet mischief.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Then we have Claire, who's gonna come with a tiny
- 1:51Speaker 1: metal sewing machine, and her disposition is mild and reserved,
- 1:54Speaker 1: although still listening to someone long gone. Next comes Greta.
- 1:59Speaker 1: She's gonna come with a small wicker basket, and she's serious, observant,
- 2:03Speaker 1: and softly protective. Last but certainly not least, we have Birdie,
- 2:07Speaker 1: who comes with a small teddy pin cushion, and she's wide-eyed, affectionate,
- 2:12Speaker 1: easily startled, yet eager to be held. Dun, dun, dun! Okay,
- 2:17Speaker 1: which ones do you think we got? I didn't buy
- 2:18Speaker 1: all of them. I had to leave some haunted dolls
- 2:20Speaker 1: for others. Put it in the comments right now. Three, two, one.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Let's see who we got. This is Clara. So this
- 2:29Speaker 1: is one that came with a tiny sewing machine. I
- 2:31Speaker 1: haven't put the feels in yet. I'll be surprised if
- 2:33Speaker 1: they're all haunted, but who knows? Maybe the person who
- 2:36Speaker 1: sought these out knows more than I do. Clara comes
- 2:38Speaker 1: from the Nimber Novelty Co. She's a composition head and
- 2:41Speaker 1: limbs with softly molded features. Did you hear that? Spirit
- 2:45Speaker 1: was with me today. I was working around the table
- 2:47Speaker 1: early this morning before doing anything back there, and my
- 2:50Speaker 1: left ear goes out. My left ear always goes out.
- 2:52Speaker 1: If you're ever wondering if Spirit's trying to contact you,
- 2:54Speaker 1: you don't have any health issues, if your ear starts
- 2:55Speaker 1: ringing out of nowhere, that is usually a good sign
- 2:57Speaker 1: for me. So, she has painted eyes, joined to a
- 3:00Speaker 1: cloth body, typical of early American production. She wears a
- 3:03Speaker 1: cotton dress with lace trim, now gently aging from long,
- 3:06Speaker 1: careful keeping. And then this is her sewing machine. Like
- 3:08Speaker 1: literally a working little sewing machine. Is this your little treat?
- 3:12Speaker 1: Next up, I purchased this little dolly right here. And
- 3:16Speaker 1: this is Birdie. Birdie was 39 bucks. Clara was 39.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Birdie is from 1938 to 1945. Wait, where's Clara from?
- 3:23Speaker 1: Doesn't say. Okay, tell me if this sounds familiar. It's late,
- 3:38Speaker 1: you're in bed, and suddenly something hurts or feels weird.
- 3:41Speaker 1: So you grab your phone and you go straight to
- 3:43Speaker 1: your nighttime doom scroll. Then you're 10 tabs deep and
- 3:47Speaker 1: you've diagnosed yourself with five different things. And somehow you
- 3:50Speaker 1: still don't have what you actually need. An actual doctor's appointment.
- 3:55Speaker 1: with someone who feels right for you. That was me.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Over and over, I'd put off calling and I would
- 4:00Speaker 1: get put on hold or I would just have no
- 4:02Speaker 1: idea which doctor I could actually trust. That's why I
- 4:05Speaker 1: started using today's video sponsor, ZocDoc. ZocDoc is a free

- 5:21Speaker 1: sponsoring today's video and let's get back to the show.
- 5:24Speaker 1: I don't know why I feel bad about unwrapping her.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Tell me why that's a thing. So her teddy didn't
- 5:43Speaker 1: come with her, and I wondered that when I was there,
- 5:45Speaker 1: if the teddy had been stolen, because there was no
- 5:47Speaker 1: teddy in or around her. I did look around, but
- 5:50Speaker 1: this is a cutie-peutie right here. Hmm, I'm sorry you
- 5:53Speaker 1: don't have your teddy. I can find you something new.
- 5:55Speaker 1: And then last but not least, ooh, ah! Oh my gosh,
- 6:01Speaker 1: don't mind her head just falling off. I didn't like this.
- 6:04Speaker 1: This is Edith, so she's from the 1920s to the 1930s. Ma'am, ma'am. Ah!
- 6:14Speaker 1: American or German influence manufacturer. Description, composition head and limbs
- 6:19Speaker 1: with painted features and molded hair. Joined to a cloth torso,
- 6:23Speaker 1: eyes open and closed, internal hook attachment remains intact, later
- 6:27Speaker 1: stabilized with adhesive to prevent repeated separation. Has a tiny
- 6:32Speaker 1: baby doll, disposition quiet, cautious, deeply attached as if reluctant
- 6:36Speaker 1: to be sat down. Okay, let's see your little toy.
- 6:39Speaker 1: The head just falling off is just not, not the
- 6:42Speaker 1: vibe that I'm looking for. See, this is where I'm like, okay,
- 6:45Speaker 1: this is a haunted doll, comes with like some possession.
- 6:47Speaker 1: This little doll is like from the 2000s. So I'm like,
- 6:51Speaker 1: I want you guys to guess first who you think
- 6:52Speaker 1: is haunted. We have Edith, Birdie, and we have Clara.
- 6:58Speaker 1: I am going to be using my tools today to
- 7:01Speaker 1: investigate each one of these dolls. First off, we are
- 7:03Speaker 1: going to start with the easiest mode of communication just
- 7:06Speaker 1: to see if these things do spark any electromagnetic frequencies.
- 7:09Speaker 1: They shouldn't because they're super old and that is the
- 7:12Speaker 1: EMF reader. You heard that too. Okay, interesting. All right, Clara,
- 7:19Speaker 1: you're up first. Clara, are you inside this doll? Got
- 7:27Speaker 1: nothing from Clara, mate. I'm leaving the one I think
- 7:29Speaker 1: is most haunted till the end here. All right, Edith.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, okay. Okay, Edith. This is your moment.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Is there a spirit inside this doll vessel? Can you
- 7:52Speaker 1: make this meter jump? Edith, do you reside in this doll?
- 8:00Speaker 1: Does anyone or anything reside inside this doll? Okay. Now
- 8:08Speaker 1: we have Birdie. This is the one that's given me
- 8:11Speaker 1: vibes since the beginning. Hello, Birdie. Do you reside in
- 8:17Speaker 1: this doll? Are there any spirits in this vessel? It's
- 8:27Speaker 1: a nice day today, isn't it? Hmm. There's such a
- 8:37Speaker 1: big industry and there's so much money to be made
- 8:39Speaker 1: with haunted items. It's crazy. Here's something with electromagnetic frequency.
- 8:44Speaker 1: It's like you put it in your phone, it's gonna jump.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Am I full of anything? No. Interesting. Okay, let's check
- 8:51Speaker 1: the items that these come with too. So here's this
- 8:53Speaker 1: tiny baby doll. Is there something inside this tiny baby doll? No. Okay.
- 9:01Speaker 1: What about this tiny sewing machine? No. These are fun,
- 9:08Speaker 1: you get them on Amazon. All right, so I'm gonna
- 9:12Speaker 1: give you my main, my main vibe, okay. What I'm
- 9:17Speaker 1: gonna do right now is I'm going to sit with
- 9:18Speaker 1: each one of them and see if I can connect
- 9:20Speaker 1: to anything myself and kinda decide where I think we're
- 9:22Speaker 1: going with this investigation. The cool thing about my gift
- 9:25Speaker 1: is I see different moments in time and where things were.
- 9:28Speaker 1: And seeing where this was is very interesting. I can
- 9:31Speaker 1: see it in a kitchen, on a shelf. I can
- 9:33Speaker 1: see a woman working in the kitchen. But I feel
- 9:35Speaker 1: where it's been, I see it a wicker basket beside
- 9:39Speaker 1: a chair. Sewing supplies kept inside the wicker basket. This
- 9:44Speaker 1: is giving me like 70s. I don't know if I'm
- 9:47Speaker 1: just picking up residual energy. I'm not feeling anything like
- 9:50Speaker 1: inside of this. But I can't always pick it up
- 9:52Speaker 1: directly out of there. Next I want to check Edith.
- 9:56Speaker 1: If this is spirited it's very light and it's more
- 9:59Speaker 1: of um residual spirit because I'm just seeing the same
- 10:02Speaker 1: thing played over and over again where this is gifted
- 10:05Speaker 1: already in a worn-out type of state to a girl
- 10:08Speaker 1: who's maybe a slight bit too old to play with it.
- 10:11Speaker 1: It sits on her bed forever forever forever, sits in
- 10:14Speaker 1: a window for quite some time, goes into a box,
- 10:17Speaker 1: I just get days passing. I feel energy to it,
- 10:20Speaker 1: but I don't know if it's intelligent energy. So I
- 10:23Speaker 1: get Birdie and I'm immediately dizzy. She's warm to the
- 10:25Speaker 1: touch is what's interesting. What I picture with Birdie is
- 10:30Speaker 1: there was a woman who doesn't, I don't think she
- 10:34Speaker 1: ever had children and she tried to fit in a
- 10:36Speaker 1: lot of places, but she didn't well. I don't know
- 10:39Speaker 1: where the dog came from, but she had quite a
- 10:41Speaker 1: big array of dolls, and she really had a few
- 10:43Speaker 1: that were her favorites, and this was one of them.
- 10:46Speaker 1: And she had an unattended death. Old age, very old.
- 10:50Speaker 1: I feel like she's not just in this doll. I
- 10:51Speaker 1: feel like she's in a lot of the different dolls
- 10:54Speaker 1: that she loved the most. I'm curious to see if
- 10:56Speaker 1: we can verify this story. We're going to start with
- 10:58Speaker 1: the Alice box. That is my absolute favorite mode of communication,
- 11:01Speaker 1: especially when we're opening things up, just to get some
- 11:03Speaker 1: verification on the things I said. I'd like to find
- 11:05Speaker 1: out her name and if it is Birdie. Like a
- 11:07Speaker 1: very gentle, mild-mannered woman. Someone who, she attended church for
- 11:13Speaker 1: quite some time, but it was more for the sense
- 11:15Speaker 1: of community than anything else. If I'm correct on this story,
- 11:18Speaker 1: can you verify it in some way? I feel like
- 11:22Speaker 1: she had a sister or sisters. One moved far, like
- 11:27Speaker 1: far like never came back, but they called twice a year.
- 11:29Speaker 1: And then her other sister died quite young. Parents died
- 11:33Speaker 1: quite young. She just was alone for a lot. I
- 11:35Speaker 1: just don't know if she did have a husband who
- 11:37Speaker 1: died young or if she ever had a husband at all.
- 11:40Speaker 1: It just really feels like it's just her and her dolls.
- 11:43Speaker 1: She had a cat for a while. When the cat
- 11:45Speaker 1: passed away, she didn't get another pet. Okay. So you
- 11:50Speaker 1: are passed on. I see this doll that you have here.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Did you fix her up? She looks fixed up. Are
- 11:56Speaker 1: you connected to this doll? Average. You were an average lady,
- 12:01Speaker 1: seemed like a really kind person in what I can see.
- 12:03Speaker 1: You lived in a two bedroom, small house. You feel
- 12:08Speaker 1: seen right now? You were slim, maybe 5'2, white hair,
- 12:14Speaker 1: big glasses, pink rimmed almost like clear pink plastic. Okay.
- 12:26Speaker 1: You can make a sound anywhere in the room. I'm
- 12:36Speaker 1: going to set up the music box. Since you're making
- 12:42Speaker 1: some movement for us, I'm going to aim it towards
- 12:44Speaker 1: where you made your sound. The night you passed away,
- 12:47Speaker 1: you had a... Thank you so much. Can you step
- 12:59Speaker 1: away from the music box right now? Thank you. If
- 13:05Speaker 1: your name was Birdie, can you step in front of
- 13:07Speaker 1: the music box? Okay, thank you very much. Elias. Birdie Elias.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Is that your last name? If your name was Birdie Elias,
- 13:21Speaker 1: can you step away from the music box? Thank you. Wow, okay.
- 13:28Speaker 1: The night... The night that you... Can you step away
- 13:38Speaker 1: so I can ask a question? I can feel her,
- 13:45Speaker 1: which is interesting. The night you passed away, you had
- 13:50Speaker 1: a bit of a cough that came on suddenly, and
- 13:53Speaker 1: you made tea, and you got in these pink flannel-y pajamas,
- 14:00Speaker 1: and your bedroom was interesting because it was a large room,
- 14:04Speaker 1: but you had a twin bed against the wall. And
- 14:08Speaker 1: you made your... Roger. Okay. Was Walter your husband? I
- 14:12Speaker 1: wasn't sure if you had one or not. Ring. Shadow. Okay.
- 14:18Speaker 1: What are you trying to tell me right now? Can
- 14:21Speaker 1: you give me one more word? Throat. Throat. The cough. Yeah.
- 14:29Speaker 1: I think you died of a heart attack in your sleep.
- 14:32Speaker 1: I think you had a cough and you made tea.
- 14:35Speaker 1: and you went to bed and you just never woke up.
- 14:38Speaker 1: And the truth was is that you didn't know you
- 14:40Speaker 1: passed away because in my mind's eye, I see you
- 14:43Speaker 1: getting up the next morning and turning around and seeing yourself.
- 14:47Speaker 1: And that's kind of when you got very confused. Yeah.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Do you stick to more than one of your dolls? Well, pain. Pain, okay.
- 15:01Speaker 1: So you did feel the heart attack. That sucks in
- 15:04Speaker 1: your sleep. In my head, I have that it was
- 15:06Speaker 1: six days. Draft. Ah, draft. I got real chilly. That's
- 15:23Speaker 1: crazy that stopped when it did because I felt the
- 15:25Speaker 1: energy up my back. Like she stepped out and over
- 15:29Speaker 1: to me. So you're behind me right now. You're welcome
- 15:33Speaker 1: to be here. Birdie, can you verify something for me?
- 15:39Speaker 1: Did your neighbor... Whistle. Whistleblower? That would be a word
- 15:44Speaker 1: she would say. Four. Did your neighbor raise alarm about you?
- 15:54Speaker 1: He was a single man in his late 50s who
- 15:59Speaker 1: lived next door, who noticed that you didn't come out
- 16:01Speaker 1: like you usually did. I feel like... you put birdseed
- 16:05Speaker 1: out or you put something out for squirrels and he
- 16:08Speaker 1: noticed you hadn't come out for a few days. So
- 16:12Speaker 1: he knocked and he opened the door and called your name.
- 16:17Speaker 1: And then when you didn't answer, we should try and
- 16:21Speaker 1: look you up. Okay. This is the thing though. I
- 16:26Speaker 1: don't know if there's going to be an obituary because
- 16:28Speaker 1: a lot of old people, the way that they do
- 16:30Speaker 1: their houses and stuff, I, can't tell if she died
- 16:34Speaker 1: in the 80s, the 90s, 2000s, like she definitely died
- 16:37Speaker 1: before the 2010 or right at the cusp, okay. You
- 16:41Speaker 1: guys are great at digging. If you guys can look
- 16:42Speaker 1: into a Bertie Elias obituary, she was a woman, pre-deceased
- 16:47Speaker 1: by her husband if she had one. She had what
- 16:49Speaker 1: I think is two sisters. She lived in an area
- 16:52Speaker 1: that had houses. Like if I'm supposed to give an area,
- 16:56Speaker 1: I would think, I don't know if this is situational
- 16:59Speaker 1: to the type of housing, I think I'll narrow it down,
- 17:00Speaker 1: but like a brick bungalow. Sharp. Maybe that's her maiden name.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Maybe she's giving us a clue right there. David. Okay,
- 17:07Speaker 1: so these are all cues. We have David, Sharp. She
- 17:10Speaker 1: lived in a brick bungalow in a cul-de-sac. It's like
- 17:13Speaker 1: a street that led to a cul-de-sac. Quiet area. I
- 17:16Speaker 1: think she died in the 80s or 90s. Could be
- 17:19Speaker 1: early 2000s. She had white hair. If there's an obituary picture,
- 17:23Speaker 1: it's a dated looking photo of her with white hair.
- 17:26Speaker 1: I can tell she had a cough. That was heart failure.
- 17:29Speaker 1: That was heart failure, Birdie. I'm so sorry. Haunted dolls
- 17:32Speaker 1: are so interesting because anybody can give them a story.
- 17:35Speaker 1: For Birdie, it doesn't give off what she was saying,
- 17:39Speaker 1: but it was interesting that this person was... Stars. I
- 17:42Speaker 1: know they're everywhere in here. Stars are what I collect.
- 17:45Speaker 1: They're everywhere. I'm into celestial stuff. It's interesting that the
- 17:47Speaker 1: person who did put names to these dolls obviously picked
- 17:50Speaker 1: up something from the situation they were in. This doll's name,
- 17:53Speaker 1: possibly Birdie Elias. I don't even know if Birdie is
- 17:55Speaker 1: a nickname. I do love it. She was a calm woman.
- 17:58Speaker 1: She was an older woman who died alone, which is
- 18:00Speaker 1: very sad. Her neighbor was looking out for her. Her
- 18:02Speaker 1: house was- Pencil. You want a pencil? I can do
- 18:05Speaker 1: automatic writing. I'm going to see if Birdie will come
- 18:07Speaker 1: through me. Such a cool pencil. Look at this. It's
- 18:09Speaker 1: called a forever pencil. Okay, Birdie. My chair turned to
- 18:25Speaker 1: directly face her. I was over here and it directly,
- 18:29Speaker 1: like I'm not, that is so weird. I just see
- 18:32Speaker 1: a lot of her house. I'm seeing a lot of
- 18:34Speaker 1: a long stretched orangey or pinky bricked bungalow, huge trio front.
- 18:39Speaker 1: I have that she was really into pressing flowers and
- 18:41Speaker 1: books and making flower arrangements. And there's a lot of
- 18:44Speaker 1: pictures of cats. Loved cats, but after her last cat died,
- 18:48Speaker 1: I think she was in her late 60s and she
- 18:51Speaker 1: knew she didn't want to get another cat. because she
- 18:53Speaker 1: was afraid of dying and nobody finding her. I'm gonna
- 18:57Speaker 1: turn this on for a final word, Birdie. It's been
- 18:59Speaker 1: an honor to get to know you. I think you
- 19:01Speaker 1: float between a lot of your different dolls. She didn't
- 19:03Speaker 1: have like a massive collection, but she had dolls and
- 19:06Speaker 1: she liked to fix them up. But Birdie, I've really
- 19:08Speaker 1: enjoyed meeting you tonight. Your energy is quite nice. I
- 19:11Speaker 1: think you talked to me earlier. Is there anything else
- 19:13Speaker 1: you would like to say to everybody? Final word for
- 19:15Speaker 1: the people? Feels like she's vibrating, it's like crazy. I
- 19:19Speaker 1: hope I was able to tell your story right. Like
- 19:22Speaker 1: a really nice person. You know things beyond our wisdom now,
- 19:25Speaker 1: don't you? I would love to know if you guys
- 19:27Speaker 1: can find anything about Birdie Elias or Birdie Walter or
- 19:30Speaker 1: any of the other names that came through. It'd be
- 19:33Speaker 1: really cool. I haven't decided. I got your back, Bird.
- 19:37Speaker 1: I'm not sure if I'm gonna keep Birdie if I
- 19:39Speaker 1: decide that I'm not going to, because I don't keep
- 19:42Speaker 1: a lot of haunted items. I'm sorry, Birdie. There might
- 19:44Speaker 1: be a good home for you. I haven't decided. I
- 19:46Speaker 1: kind of really like Birdie. I think Birdie might need
- 19:47Speaker 1: to stay here. Do you want to stay, Birdie? Error. Error?
- 19:51Speaker 1: I suggested. I don't like to keep a lot of items. Error.
- 19:57Speaker 1: Suggested I keep you. Okay, never mind. I'm gonna keep Birdie.
- 20:00Speaker 1: Birdie is going to stay here. She has a beautiful energy.
- 20:02Speaker 1: She's in and out of this doll. This isn't a
- 20:04Speaker 1: constant vessel. She kind of lives a life she couldn't.
- 20:07Speaker 1: I think she was nervous to live a life of
- 20:09Speaker 1: exploration and now that she has passed on, she moves
- 20:12Speaker 1: between different vessels and that's really special. Sorry if I
- 20:14Speaker 1: sound crazy to some of you. I'm a spooky girl
- 20:16Speaker 1: who does spooky things and sees a lot of spooky stuff. Sorry, Brady,
- 20:19Speaker 1: I'm doing a self plug right now. I'm heading out
- 20:20Speaker 1: on book tour right now. Nope, in January. What's happening
- 20:24Speaker 1: right now is my infinity deck, which is over there
- 20:27Speaker 1: because I was paying for it. It's on super, super
- 20:28Speaker 1: duper sale. The lowest price you're ever gonna find it at.
- 20:30Speaker 1: Pick it up for Christmas. Brady and I say goodbye.
- 20:32Speaker 1: So until next time, Boo Crew, stay spooky. This is
- 20:37Speaker 1: Birdie and she's my friend. This is Birdie. And she's
- 20:41Speaker 1: my friend. It's a party. Okay, baby. Let's go find
- 20:45Speaker 1: you a home on the shelf. It's crazy how much
- 20:49Speaker 1: we thought these would be worth. My gosh.
