In which the kind and prudent narrator undertakes a charitable visitation with two ladies to the humble abodes of the poor and infirm, observing with tender care the good effect of her benevolence and the discreet management of their needs. Yet, amidst these worthy duties, she is painfully discomfited to discover a young girl under her protection behaving imprudently with a foolish gentleman, leading to a gentle but serious admonition and reflection on the perils faced by modest maidens.
