Jason Newsted Back on Tour After Cancer Battle
Jason Newsted, the legendary Metallica bassist turned Chophouse Band frontman, is back on the road after beating throat cancer — and he’s not slowing down. Diagnosed last year, he underwent surgery in May and got the all-clear in April. Now, at 63, he’s headlining his first-ever North American tour with his band, hitting 18 cities coast to coast. Formed since 1992, The Chophouse Band has always blended rock with purpose, playing benefit shows for veterans and youth arts.
