  SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
• 0:56
SPEAKER_00: Who's gonna go with me?
• 0:58
SPEAKER_03: And the funny thing is who I went with, my she was like, I don't know.
• 1:02
SPEAKER_03: With you're stuck with me.

  SPEAKER_03: Okay.
• 1:12
  SPEAKER_04: Okay.
• 1:19
SPEAKER_03: So um are we halfway done with the season?
• 1:22
SPEAKER_03: I don't know how many episodes we have.
• 1:24
  SPEAKER_03: Oh my god.
• 1:25
SPEAKER_03: We're actually less than halfway.
• 1:26
SPEAKER_03: I think it's like 18 episodes, something like that.
• 1:28
  SPEAKER_00: I think so.
• 1:29
SPEAKER_00: So something like six or seven more.
• 1:32
SPEAKER_00: Oh no, I'm so sad.
• 1:34
SPEAKER_00: Seven, I think seven episodes, and then like six for us.
• 1:39
  SPEAKER_03: Something like that, right?
• 1:40
SPEAKER_03: Oh no, I'm so sad.
• 1:42
  SPEAKER_00: So sad.
• 1:43
SPEAKER_03: I hate to see you go.
• 1:44
SPEAKER_00: Try not to cry, okay.
• 1:46
  SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
• 1:47
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's it.
• 1:48
  SPEAKER_00: Send issues.
• 1:48
  SPEAKER_00: Agnes is so sad.
• 1:50
  SPEAKER_00: Send tissues.
• 1:51
SPEAKER_03: Please, tissues made with dollar bills.
• 1:56
SPEAKER_03: I'll cry into my wallet.
• 1:58
  SPEAKER_03: No.
• 1:58
SPEAKER_00: Um happily ever after hot takes.
• 2:01
  SPEAKER_03: Hot takes.
• 2:02
SPEAKER_03: I don't I don't have any hot takes because I kind of like, okay.
• 2:06
SPEAKER_03: They're like, have you have you ever you tell Mrs.
• 2:11
SPEAKER_03: Whitmore that there's not gonna be, and I'm like, oh yeah, I know who that is.
• 2:15
SPEAKER_03: Like, I knew, yes, because they had a relationship before, you know.
• 2:19
SPEAKER_03: So I'm like, okay, I know who that's gonna be.
• 2:24
  SPEAKER_03: I know.
• 2:25
SPEAKER_03: Um, and it's kind of I like the fact that whatever genetic makeup Desmond has, that he kind of he flash it, like he's able to go, you know, that flashing and kind of go between parallel, whatever really worked out for him in this one.
• 2:44
SPEAKER_00: Electromagnet magnetism resistant, some shit like that.
• 2:48
  SPEAKER_03: He's special, he's a special hoe.
• 2:50
SPEAKER_03: Um, I like the fact that they um they didn't forget that part where they like that was like two seasons ago.
• 2:59
SPEAKER_03: And I like the fact that he actually remembered it when they did this, and then he's like, he kind of remet Penny.
• 3:06
SPEAKER_00: I was like, oh there's a lot of similarities, a lot of callbacks, like with the whole electromagnetism and Desmond.
• 3:16
SPEAKER_00: Desmond is a special character, and then there's also he's a special hoe, and then there's differences because while you have that same relationship that we once saw between Eloise and Charles Widmore, in this timeline, they're married, right?
• 3:39
SPEAKER_00: But but Daniel is acknowledged as his son, and his last name is Whidmore, as opposed to Penny.
• 3:48
  SPEAKER_00: And right.
• 3:50
SPEAKER_03: I so yeah, I caught all that was like, okay, I see what you did there, writers.
• 3:55
SPEAKER_03: I'm so proud of you.
• 3:56
  SPEAKER_03: I got the chills.
• 3:58
  SPEAKER_03: Oh, shut up.
• 4:00
SPEAKER_00: You know, you know, this is like this is really the the the culmination of all of my but this is such a good show because you started off and kind of like the first couple episodes, you're like, all right, like let's see, whatever.
• 4:19
SPEAKER_00: It's kind of stupid, but all right, I'll give it a try.
• 4:21
SPEAKER_03: And then it was like, I don't fucking know, I don't fucking care times five seasons, and but to be fair, listen, you have to admit, my I don't know and I don't give a fuck had some really yeah, but that's besides the point.
• 4:35
SPEAKER_03: I made some that's no, that ain't exactly the point.
• 4:39
SPEAKER_03: No, that's besides the point.
• 4:40
SPEAKER_03: I was very intuitive as to what my opinions were, even though I didn't give a fuck.
• 4:45
SPEAKER_03: That exactly is the point.
• 4:47
SPEAKER_00: No, because you didn't care.
• 4:49
SPEAKER_00: That was just dumb luck.
• 4:50
SPEAKER_00: That was you talking out of your ass and being right.
• 4:53
SPEAKER_03: No, it was me just like taking in without having to like study it.
• 4:56
SPEAKER_03: I was just taking it in like lesmosis.
• 5:00
SPEAKER_00: We're gonna keep you to disagree.
• 5:03
SPEAKER_00: I love you, and now we finally get like towards the the end, and it's like, oh, and then there's this, and then there's this connection.
• 5:13
SPEAKER_00: And I caught this, and I'm like, I love this person.
• 5:16
  SPEAKER_00: I mean, too much.
• 5:17
SPEAKER_00: I love this for you, and I love it more for me.
• 5:20
SPEAKER_03: Okay, to be fair though, they're a little bit more streamlining their storytelling.
• 5:25
SPEAKER_03: Like it's like the first was like, what the fuck am I watching?
• 5:30
SPEAKER_03: There's a lot of seasons that you had each episode had 600 different things, and none of them made sense.
• 5:35
  SPEAKER_03: You're like, Wait, what?
• 5:37
SPEAKER_03: Wait, the smoke monks, the smoke monster, and then the polar bear, and then you hit a button.
• 5:42
SPEAKER_03: What there was a it's kind of hard to and then you kept asking me, so what do you think?
• 5:46
  SPEAKER_03: I was like, I don't fucking know.
• 5:47
SPEAKER_03: I fucking tripping on acid.
• 5:49
  SPEAKER_01: I felt like it's a lot cheaper, too.
• 5:56
  SPEAKER_00: I assume, I don't know.
• 5:58
  SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
• 5:59
SPEAKER_03: I don't know, because I know who I was at the point, but like the show, the episodes are a lot easier to follow and they make sense and to remember, you know.
• 6:08
SPEAKER_03: And like there were people that I'm like, the driver, I'm like, oh my god, where what where was his from?
• 6:12
  SPEAKER_03: Where was he from?
• 6:13
SPEAKER_03: Like I'm like, well my god, and I'm like, okay, I know him, but I don't remember by knowing him.
• 6:18
SPEAKER_00: He's also Phoebe's um boyfriend from Friends.
• 6:22
SPEAKER_00: The he was a therapist.
• 6:23
SPEAKER_00: Remember that he was like, Oh, right.
• 6:25
  SPEAKER_00: I remember that's where I know him.
• 6:28
SPEAKER_01: He was like, Oh maybe that's where I know him from, and not from the show.
• 6:35
SPEAKER_01: Was he Phoebe's boyfriend or was he Monica's boyfriend?
• 6:37
SPEAKER_01: Wait, no, I'm um He was Ross's.
• 6:40
  SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
• 6:42
SPEAKER_00: He wasn't Ross's, he was the that was maybe a smart ass Lisa.
• 6:45
  SPEAKER_00: And she actually answered.
• 6:47
  SPEAKER_00: No, I know.
• 6:48
SPEAKER_00: I was just trying to think.
• 6:49
  SPEAKER_00: I'm like, wait a minute.
• 6:50
SPEAKER_00: Why am I having a mental like blah?
• 6:54
SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, somebody text, please.
• 6:57
SPEAKER_00: Uh by the time you hear it, I'll have looked it up.
• 6:59
  SPEAKER_00: Okay, anyway.
• 7:01
  SPEAKER_03: Um don't discourage them.
• 7:03
SPEAKER_00: All right, you can text.
• 7:05
  SPEAKER_00: You can text.
• 7:05
SPEAKER_03: By the time we get done with this recording, she would have forgotten that she wanted to find out who it was.
• 7:11
SPEAKER_00: So by all means, oh that's actually, yeah.
• 7:14
  SPEAKER_00: I think he I think actually you're right.
• 7:18
SPEAKER_03: So by all means, please text.
• 7:20
  SPEAKER_03: Please text.
• 7:22
  SPEAKER_01: All right, ready?
• 7:24
  SPEAKER_01: I'm ready, I'm ready, I'm ready.
• 7:28
SPEAKER_00: You have to bear with me.
• 7:29
SPEAKER_00: I don't my printer is so stupid and it's like so blurry.
• 7:34
SPEAKER_00: So let's hope I can read this.
• 7:36
  SPEAKER_00: Okay.
• 7:37
SPEAKER_03: Um, spoiler, it was not the printer, your glasses.
• 7:41
SPEAKER_00: That's why I have my glasses on.
• 7:43
  SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
• 7:43
SPEAKER_00: Can you see like how it Oh no?
• 7:45
SPEAKER_03: That is kind yeah, that is jacked up.
• 7:47
  SPEAKER_00: It's yeah, it's really bad.
• 7:50
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's not a line.
• 7:51
  SPEAKER_03: Try cleaning your printer.
• 7:52
  SPEAKER_00: I I can't get it apart.
• 7:54
  SPEAKER_00: I don't know how.
• 7:55
  SPEAKER_01: No, it's it's you don't pull it apart.
• 7:57
SPEAKER_01: You hit your options on your printer.
• 8:00
SPEAKER_00: One line is clear and then the rest is all like blurred.
• 8:02
SPEAKER_03: You don't pull it apart to clean your printer, Lisa.
• 8:04
SPEAKER_03: There's options on your printer that's that cleans it for you.
• 8:08
SPEAKER_03: We had this conversation like six times already.
• 8:10
SPEAKER_01: I know, but all right.
• 8:12
  SPEAKER_01: Remind me tomorrow.
• 8:13
SPEAKER_01: She's like, I don't know how to pull it apart.
• 8:14
  SPEAKER_01: No, don't do that.
• 8:16
SPEAKER_01: I thought you gotta like clean the thing.
• 8:18
  SPEAKER_01: No, I don't know.
• 8:23
  SPEAKER_01: I'm blonde.
• 8:24
SPEAKER_03: All right, everybody sell send your money in now to get listened to new printer.
• 8:28
  SPEAKER_03: Please.
• 8:30
  SPEAKER_03: Okay, I'm ready.
• 8:31
  SPEAKER_03: Okay.
• 8:33
SPEAKER_03: Des You're going to clean your printer.
• 8:35
  SPEAKER_03: I'm sorry.
• 8:40
  SPEAKER_03: Okay.
• 8:43
SPEAKER_03: I'm taking your Gen X card from you.
• 8:47
  SPEAKER_00: Um, I'm sorry.
• 8:48
SPEAKER_00: We were poor growing up.
• 8:49
SPEAKER_00: We barely had a fucking computer.
• 8:50
  SPEAKER_00: We definitely didn't have a printer.
• 8:52
  SPEAKER_00: Why not?
• 8:53
  SPEAKER_00: I didn't get one until I was in my 20s.
• 8:55
SPEAKER_00: Okay, well, I didn't get one until I fucking bought a house.
• 9:01
  SPEAKER_00: Okay.
• 9:02
  SPEAKER_00: Okay, on the island.
• 9:09
SPEAKER_00: Sorry, I don't know how to fucking clean a printer.
• 9:12
SPEAKER_00: I used to take shit to work to print.
• 9:15
  SPEAKER_00: I didn't have a printer.
• 9:18
  SPEAKER_00: Okay.
• 9:19
  SPEAKER_00: And I know they're cheap.
• 9:21
  SPEAKER_00: That's not the point.
• 9:22
  SPEAKER_00: I didn't have one.
• 9:27
SPEAKER_00: It's a miracle that we publish a podcast every week.
• 9:31
  SPEAKER_03: I don't understand.
• 9:32
SPEAKER_03: It's a miracle that people actually like me other than you.
• 9:34
  SPEAKER_03: That's that's one.
• 9:35
SPEAKER_03: I just I'm like, people like me?
• 9:38
  SPEAKER_03: Why?
• 9:39
SPEAKER_03: I think they only like me because they need like that tough love, honest therapy, but they can't afford it.
• 9:44
SPEAKER_03: So, like, okay, let's just attach myself to Agnes.
• 9:47
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 9:50
  SPEAKER_00: All right.
• 9:52
SPEAKER_00: Desmond wakes in the Hydra infirmary.
• 9:56
SPEAKER_00: Zoe is there, she introduces herself, and she explains that he's been unconscious for three days.
• 10:04
SPEAKER_00: She gave him a shot to help wake him up.
• 10:06
SPEAKER_00: He's like, Penny, Penny! She's like, ah, you're not in the hospital, shut up.
• 10:10
  SPEAKER_00: Penny.
• 10:15
SPEAKER_00: Charles Woodmore says that you can't see Penny because you don't stuff happen.
• 10:23
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you know, you were shot by Benjamin Linus, and Desmond is just like, Penny! But Whidmore's like, dude, she's not here.
• 10:33
SPEAKER_00: Like we kidnapped you and we brought you to the island.
• 10:36
SPEAKER_03: If anyone's curious, this is not verbado from the script, just in case you're wondering.
• 10:40
  SPEAKER_00: How do you know?
• 10:42
  SPEAKER_00: I watched.
• 10:43
SPEAKER_00: It's so blurry, I can barely read it.
• 10:46
  SPEAKER_00: You don't you can't read it.
• 10:51
SPEAKER_00: Oh, you mean the TV script, not my screen?
• 10:54
SPEAKER_01: I meant the TV script.
• 10:55
  SPEAKER_00: I was like I swear I'm not drunk.
• 11:03
  SPEAKER_00: Oh.
• 11:04
  SPEAKER_00: Uh, okay.
• 11:07
SPEAKER_00: So Widmore tells him that he brought him back to the island and Desmond proceeds to attack him.
• 11:16
SPEAKER_00: He's like, take me back.
• 11:19
SPEAKER_00: But Widmore's like, hmm, the island's not done with you yet.
• 11:24
  SPEAKER_00: Widmore leaves the room.
• 11:28
SPEAKER_00: And Jin, who was standing outside, asks Widmore what Desmond is doing on the island.
• 11:34
SPEAKER_00: And Whidmore's like, well, let me just show you.
• 11:37
SPEAKER_00: So they bring Joe Joey.
• 11:44
SPEAKER_03: Are you having your Chanley friends?
• 11:47
  SPEAKER_03: Like, what's going on?
• 11:48
SPEAKER_00: I was gonna say Jin and Zoe, who came out as Joey.
• 11:54
SPEAKER_00: Phoebe is my spirit animal.
• 11:56
SPEAKER_03: I think Smelly Cat might be your spirit at this moment.
• 11:59
  SPEAKER_00: I do have a smelly cat.
• 12:01
  SPEAKER_00: Um okay.
• 12:05
SPEAKER_00: Widmore tells Zoe, aka Discount Tina Fe, to bring Jin to the generator room where they can start the test.
• 12:15
SPEAKER_00: She's like, um, the test isn't scheduled yet, but Whidmore is like, just go fucking do what I say.
• 12:22
SPEAKER_00: So Zoe leads Jin outside, past the generators, past all the equipment, the cables, like they look like they're building a fucking bridge in New York City, okay, with all this equipment.
• 12:37
SPEAKER_00: And upstairs, preparations are underway with laptops and monitors, all kinds of electrical controls.
• 12:47
SPEAKER_00: Seamus says that they're not even close to being ready.
• 12:52
SPEAKER_00: They test the generator at full power, but it fails.
• 12:56
SPEAKER_00: So Seamus sends a technician, Seamus, aka somebody who uh really I don't think ever had a name before.
• 13:03
SPEAKER_00: Um, also Simmons never had a name before.
• 13:07
SPEAKER_00: If they did, I missed it.
• 13:10
SPEAKER_00: So Simmons goes into the outside unit, but in the control room, the technician is like, oh hey, look, we just we forgot to turn the power on.
• 13:19
SPEAKER_00: And it's like that was the dumbest move ever.
• 13:23
SPEAKER_00: Like the sibling of somebody saying, Oh, hey, I see you're fixing the toaster oven with a screwdriver.
• 13:29
SPEAKER_00: Let me plug it in.
• 13:30
SPEAKER_03: Let me plug it in.
• 13:32
SPEAKER_00: I was just like, wait, what?
• 13:33
SPEAKER_00: Did he just uh Yeah.
• 13:35
  SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
• 13:37
  SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
• 13:38
SPEAKER_00: Clearly the T Mugoonies are not smart.
• 13:42
  SPEAKER_03: No, no, they're not.
• 13:45
SPEAKER_00: So uh the power comes on and basically Simmons is now dead.
• 13:51
SPEAKER_00: I guess it that's why they didn't bother giving him a name.
• 13:55
SPEAKER_00: He's like on fire, you know, he's just smoking.
• 14:02
SPEAKER_00: Sorry, it was like my Jim Carrey impression, but it fell flat.
• 14:09
SPEAKER_03: It was no, you did a great job, Lisa.
• 14:12
  SPEAKER_03: Thank you.
• 14:12
  SPEAKER_03: Thanks.
• 14:12
  SPEAKER_03: You're welcome.
• 14:16
SPEAKER_00: Winmore arrives and asks Zoe whether they are ready because, you know, they brought Desmond in.
• 14:23
SPEAKER_00: Well, let me say, they dragged him in.
• 14:26
SPEAKER_00: And well, he's like, he's looking at the dead man like, oh fuck.
• 14:31
SPEAKER_00: They take the dead guy out, they put Desmond in, and he's like, Well, if what I heard about you is true, then Domar, you'll be fine.
• 14:38
SPEAKER_00: They tie him to a chair, and they're like, once the experiment is over, I'm gonna ask you to make a sacrifice.
• 14:46
SPEAKER_00: Desmond is like, bitch, what do you know about sacrifice?
• 14:50
SPEAKER_00: And Woodmore tells him that his son died here for the sake of the island.
• 14:56
SPEAKER_00: I feel like Desmond should have been like, what son?
• 15:01
SPEAKER_00: Like I'm married to your fucking daughter.
• 15:03
  SPEAKER_00: You're not a stranger.
• 15:04
  SPEAKER_00: What son?
• 15:06
SPEAKER_03: Okay, so for a hot second, the fact that he didn't say anything made me doubt myself.
• 15:11
SPEAKER_03: I'm like, wait, I'm like, I'm doing the math one plus one.
• 15:17
  SPEAKER_00: So weird, right?
• 15:19
  SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
• 15:20
SPEAKER_03: Over sign divided by cosine.
• 15:23
SPEAKER_03: But I was like, wait, why did he?
• 15:26
  SPEAKER_03: I thought I missed something.
• 15:27
SPEAKER_00: No, no, it's just I mean, I guess he had more pressing things to worry about, like um, I'm gonna die in the next five minutes, but I guess.
• 15:35
SPEAKER_01: All right, because I was like, because I've been known to miss things at times.
• 15:40
  SPEAKER_02: Shut up.
• 15:43
SPEAKER_00: He says that Penny hates him and that he hasn't even met his grandson.
• 15:48
SPEAKER_00: If I was Desmond, I'd be like, tell me who your son is, and maybe you can meet your grandson.
• 15:53
SPEAKER_00: But then she's gonna spit out her water.
• 16:00
SPEAKER_00: And he says that if Desmond won't help, it will all be for nothing, as everyone will be gone forever.
• 16:09
SPEAKER_00: And then they lock the door.
• 16:11
SPEAKER_00: Back in the control room, Jen is like, I demand to know what happened what's happening.
• 16:16
SPEAKER_00: Whitmore explains that Desmond is the only person known to have survived a catastrophic electromagnetic event, and that he needs to know that Desmond can do it again or we all die.
• 16:30
SPEAKER_00: He orders the experiment to be turned on.
• 16:33
SPEAKER_00: The CCTV shows Desmond free his hands, and he's trying to escape from the room.
• 16:42
SPEAKER_00: And then he's like in the electromagnetism.
• 16:49
SPEAKER_00: I don't know, how do you say that?
• 16:51
  SPEAKER_00: He's in it.
• 16:52
  SPEAKER_00: He's in it.
• 16:53
  SPEAKER_03: He's in life Lynn.
• 16:55
  SPEAKER_00: There you go.
• 16:57
SPEAKER_00: Most of this episode is is a flash sideways, but in the flash sideways, Desmond's reflection is seen in the oceanic arrivals board at LAX as he's looking at it, lost in thought.
• 17:12
SPEAKER_00: Hurley passes and is like, oh, baggage in carousel four at the carousel.
• 17:19
SPEAKER_00: He sees Claire struggling with her bag, and Desmond helps her.
• 17:24
SPEAKER_00: He sa he asks her whether she is expecting a boy or a girl, and she says she doesn't know.
• 17:30
SPEAKER_00: He says she's braver than he because he's not a fan of surprises.
• 17:35
SPEAKER_00: He offers her a ride, she says no, and then he says, You haven't a boy.
• 17:41
SPEAKER_00: Outside, well I guess not really outside, but Desmond is then met by George Minkowski, his driver.
• 17:51
SPEAKER_00: He asks to be taken to the office.
• 17:54
SPEAKER_00: George offers lovely ladies for companionship, and when Desmond says he's here to work, George says, That is why Desmond is the boss's right-hand man, and he is the driver.
• 18:07
SPEAKER_00: I know you remember him, but if anybody listening doesn't, he was the one on the ship, on the freighter that was he wasn't the first one to die from the time traveling, but I I think that he was the first one that we saw die.
• 18:27
SPEAKER_00: Like we s yeah, we saw it.
• 18:30
SPEAKER_03: I feel better now because I was like, I couldn't place where I knew him from.
• 18:33
  SPEAKER_03: I'm like, I know him, but I couldn't remember him.
• 18:35
  SPEAKER_03: Thank you, Lisa.
• 18:36
  SPEAKER_00: You're welcome.
• 18:39
SPEAKER_00: At the office, Desmond is greeted by Whidmore's assistant, who sends him into Whidmore's office, and they greet each other warmly.
• 18:47
SPEAKER_00: Uh Whidmore is on the phone and he's telling the person to get him arranged and get him out of there.
• 18:55
SPEAKER_00: Whidmore explains that his son, who happens to be a musician, wanted to combine classical music with rock at a charity event that Mrs.
• 19:03
  SPEAKER_00: Whidmore is hosting.
• 19:05
SPEAKER_00: He says that the bass guitarist for Driveshaft overdosed and was arrested.
• 19:13
SPEAKER_00: And then he asks Desmond to babysit the musician and get him to the event.
• 19:17
  SPEAKER_00: Otherwise, Mrs.
• 19:18
  SPEAKER_00: Whidmore will be angry.
• 19:20
SPEAKER_00: Desmond agrees to help and Whidmore states that he is grateful to have someone he trusts to do the job.
• 19:26
SPEAKER_00: He adds that Desmond really has He adds that Desmond really has the life being free of all attachments.
• 19:38
SPEAKER_00: And then he pours a 60-year-old McCutcheon whiskey to celebrate Desmond's indispensability.
• 19:47
SPEAKER_00: Indispensable, somebody pour me a drink.
• 19:50
  SPEAKER_00: I'm fresh out.
• 19:54
SPEAKER_00: But this is also um a big I think my brain cells just fell out of my head.
• 20:02
SPEAKER_00: Um but this is also a big shift because in previous episodes we saw him pour himself a glass and tell Desmond that he wasn't worth it.
• 20:17
SPEAKER_03: Also, I didn't see the painting, but I still saw that damn ship.
• 20:21
SPEAKER_03: But it was a model of it.
• 20:22
SPEAKER_03: I was like, this I'm like, these would be so proud of me.
• 20:25
  SPEAKER_03: But I I keep that.
• 20:29
SPEAKER_00: So Desmond goes to the courthouse and he picks up Charlie Pace.
• 20:35
SPEAKER_00: He introduces himself and Charlie ignores him and just starts to walk across the road, oblivious to traffic, and into a bar named Jax.
• 20:46
SPEAKER_00: Desmond joins him aside, and Charlie asks if he is happy.
• 20:53
SPEAKER_00: When Desmond reels off evidence of his material success, Charlie says that what he is talking about is spectacular, consciousness altering love.
• 21:04
SPEAKER_00: And then Charlie tells him a story about how he saw a blonde woman in a vision while he was about to die from choking on the bag of heroin.
• 21:13
SPEAKER_00: Charlie says, I've seen something real.
• 21:16
  SPEAKER_00: I've seen the truth.
• 21:18
SPEAKER_00: Desmond says the real truth is not this vision of love, but the necessity of making a choice between continuing to drink or coming with Desmond to play at the charity show.
• 21:29
SPEAKER_00: As they drive away, Charlie tells Desmond that the song on the radio was Drive Shafts' first single and says ruefully that it was the beginning of everything great.
• 21:40
  SPEAKER_00: You all everybody.
• 22:00
SPEAKER_00: Or getting out of the car.
• 22:02
SPEAKER_00: He grabs a steering wheel and they careen off a pier into the water.
• 22:09
  SPEAKER_00: The car sinks.
• 22:10
SPEAKER_00: Desmond frees himself, and when he can't release Charlie's seatbelt, he swims to the surface.
• 22:16
SPEAKER_00: He dives back down and goes to Charlie's door.
• 22:19
SPEAKER_00: Charlie wakes and staring at Desmond raises his palm to the window.
• 22:24
SPEAKER_00: For a moment, Desmond sees Charlie show his palm at the looking glass with the words not Penny's boat.
• 22:33
SPEAKER_00: He looks again and the vision is gone.
• 22:37
SPEAKER_00: He gets a door open and brings Charlie to the surface.
• 22:40
SPEAKER_00: Now at the hospital, a doctor examines Desmond and she asks whether he has had hallucinations.
• 22:50
SPEAKER_00: Desmond pauses and says that he's not sure.
• 22:54
SPEAKER_00: So the doctor wants to do an MRI, but Desmond says that he doesn't have time and he needs to find the person he was brought to the hospital with.
• 23:03
SPEAKER_00: But the doctor is like, um, no, you need an MRI.
• 23:06
SPEAKER_00: While Desmond is prepped for the MRI, he's given a panic button and asks not to press it.
• 23:12
SPEAKER_00: Otherwise, they'll have to start all over again.
• 23:15
SPEAKER_00: It's like in one timeline, press the button.
• 23:18
SPEAKER_00: In the other timeline, don't press the button.
• 23:26
SPEAKER_03: He's destined to press the buttons.
• 23:29
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, or not.
• 23:31
SPEAKER_03: I feel like all those people have been brought into my life because all they do is press my fucking button.
• 23:40
SPEAKER_00: Desmond sees the vision of Charlie at the looking glass.
• 23:45
SPEAKER_00: He then sees a glowing cavalcade of his life with Penny and their love for one another.
• 23:51
SPEAKER_00: And so he presses the button.
• 23:53
SPEAKER_03: He says to the way you said that.
• 23:57
SPEAKER_00: He says to the tech that he has to go find Charlie.
• 24:05
SPEAKER_00: And then he sees Jack and he's like, Oh, hey, you, it's you, brother.
• 24:09
SPEAKER_00: And Desmond asks, and Jack is like, so he was on the plane, and you were on the plane, and now you're all here.
• 24:17
SPEAKER_03: And Desmond's like, that would have had me fucked up too.
• 24:22
  SPEAKER_03: So Jack, same.
• 24:25
  SPEAKER_00: Right.
• 24:26
SPEAKER_00: And then Charlie runs down the hall and is like naked.
• 24:29
SPEAKER_03: Half naked with the over the hotel thing.
• 24:33
SPEAKER_03: And you know his ass was showing because they don't ever come.
• 24:37
SPEAKER_00: So Desmond runs after him, and Charlie says that he's running because no one at the hospital can help him.
• 24:44
SPEAKER_00: He denies trying to kill Desmond, but instead says that he was trying to show him something.
• 24:50
SPEAKER_00: Desmond wants to see his hand, and Charlie realizes that Desmond must have seen something.
• 24:56
SPEAKER_00: And Desmond asks, Who is Penny?
• 25:00
SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry, who is Penny?
• 25:02
SPEAKER_00: Charlie says that he that's how he says it.
• 25:06
SPEAKER_00: Charlie says that he's not going to perform because none of this matters.
• 25:11
SPEAKER_00: And as he leaves, Charlie says to stop worrying about him and go start looking for Penny.
• 25:16
SPEAKER_00: So Desmond calls Whidmore and he's like, hey, by the way, uh, I lost your musician.
• 25:22
SPEAKER_00: You see what happened though.
• 25:24
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 25:24
SPEAKER_00: So what happened was, and Whidmore is like, okay, well, you can tell my wife.
• 25:33
  SPEAKER_03: You tell Mrs.
• 25:34
  SPEAKER_03: Whidmore.
• 25:34
SPEAKER_03: That's what he calls her.
• 25:35
  SPEAKER_03: He calls her Mrs.
• 25:36
  SPEAKER_03: Whidmore.
• 25:36
  SPEAKER_00: I know.
• 25:37
SPEAKER_00: This is like uh what what was the politician?
• 25:40
SPEAKER_00: Was it Pence and his wife?
• 25:42
SPEAKER_00: That they're like mother and father.
• 25:44
  SPEAKER_00: So weird.
• 25:45
  SPEAKER_00: I know.
• 25:45
  SPEAKER_00: That's like sericular weird.
• 25:47
SPEAKER_00: Like this dead bodies and I do not want to call my husband father.
• 25:51
  SPEAKER_00: No.
• 25:52
  SPEAKER_00: Ew.
• 25:53
  SPEAKER_00: Mr.
• 25:54
  SPEAKER_00: Ugh.
• 25:55
  SPEAKER_00: Mother and Mister.
• 25:57
SPEAKER_00: I mean, I might call him Daddy.
• 26:01
  SPEAKER_00: Zaddy.
• 26:02
  SPEAKER_00: No, Zaddy.
• 26:03
  SPEAKER_03: Now with the Z.
• 26:04
  SPEAKER_03: Big Daddy.
• 26:06
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like if it's sexy time, I might be like, hey, Mister.
• 26:10
SPEAKER_03: But yeah, I no, no.
• 26:12
SPEAKER_03: I have a feeling you want to get over here.
• 26:15
SPEAKER_03: Like you want to pray mantis.
• 26:21
  SPEAKER_01: Anyhow.
• 26:23
  SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry.
• 26:26
SPEAKER_00: I um maybe this is why you don't have a boyfriend.
• 26:31
  SPEAKER_00: You eat them.
• 26:33
SPEAKER_03: I mean, they asked me to.
• 26:35
SPEAKER_03: It's not my fault that they didn't even know what they were asking.
• 26:43
SPEAKER_00: So he goes to the natural history museum and George, the driver, in this timeline, asks whether Desmond has ever met her.
• 26:54
SPEAKER_00: And he implies that she's a difficult person.
• 26:57
SPEAKER_00: Desmond introduces himself to Mrs.
• 27:00
  SPEAKER_00: Woodmore.
• 27:01
  SPEAKER_00: She is charming.
• 27:02
SPEAKER_00: And she says it's about time they met.
• 27:05
SPEAKER_00: She instructs him to call her Eloise.
• 27:09
SPEAKER_00: Desmond tries to explain to her what happened, and she's like, Yeah, it's cool.
• 27:13
SPEAKER_00: My son will understand, because you know, rock stars.
• 27:18
SPEAKER_00: Desmond is like, but are you angry?
• 27:22
SPEAKER_00: And she's like, not at all, dear.
• 27:24
  SPEAKER_00: What happened happened.
• 27:25
SPEAKER_00: Desmond is like confused as fuck.
• 27:27
  SPEAKER_00: Desmond is confusion.
• 27:33
SPEAKER_00: As he's leaving, Desmond hears the name Penny read from a list of guests.
• 27:38
SPEAKER_00: He goes and he wants to see the list, and Eloise is like, no, no, no, no, no.
• 27:44
SPEAKER_00: She takes him aside and she's like, you need to stop.
• 27:46
SPEAKER_00: Whatever you think you're looking for, just stop.
• 27:50
SPEAKER_00: You don't need to look for anything.
• 27:52
SPEAKER_00: You have the perfect life, and you have attained the thing that you wanted more than anything.
• 27:58
SPEAKER_00: The approval of Charles Whidmore.
• 28:02
SPEAKER_00: She adds that it is, in fact, a violation.
• 28:07
SPEAKER_00: When he presses her about the list, she says he can't see the list because he's not ready yet.
• 28:14
SPEAKER_00: He goes back to the limo, he has a drink, and a knock comes to the window.
• 28:21
SPEAKER_00: Now the man knows Desmond's name and he introduces himself as Daniel Whidmore.
• 28:26
SPEAKER_00: He says they need to talk.
• 28:29
SPEAKER_00: Desmond starts to apologize because he failed at being a rock star babysitter.
• 28:35
SPEAKER_00: But Daniel asks if he believes in love at first sight.
• 28:40
  SPEAKER_00: Okay.
• 28:41
SPEAKER_00: Show aside, it's like, hi, my name is Lisa.
• 28:46
  SPEAKER_00: Nice to meet you.
• 28:47
SPEAKER_00: I know you don't know me, but do you believe in love at first sight?
• 28:50
SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry, but I'd be like, are you hitting on me?
• 28:53
  SPEAKER_03: That's right.
• 28:54
SPEAKER_03: That's with me, my first question.
• 28:55
SPEAKER_03: Because I totally have strangers do that to me all the time.
• 28:59
  SPEAKER_03: That's sarcasm for those who don't.
• 29:01
  SPEAKER_00: I was like, you do because I don't.
• 29:02
  SPEAKER_03: I guess pure sarcasm.
• 29:04
  SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay.
• 29:06
SPEAKER_03: I mean, I do have like little kids though.
• 29:08
  SPEAKER_03: I like they're like, oh, they're so pretty.
• 29:10
SPEAKER_03: I'm like, oh, thank you.
• 29:11
SPEAKER_03: Call me like eight to ten years.
• 29:13
  SPEAKER_03: All right, boo.
• 29:13
  SPEAKER_03: No, um, no.
• 29:15
SPEAKER_03: Um, but no, it does not happen.
• 29:17
SPEAKER_03: And I am I kind of want to see, I want that to happen with my ego.
• 29:21
SPEAKER_03: I just want to know what's gonna, what am I gonna say?
• 29:23
SPEAKER_03: I want to know what, yeah.
• 29:25
  SPEAKER_00: It's just weird.
• 29:25
SPEAKER_00: Like, I I know obviously we know what he what what the conversation led into, but if somebody just knocks on your window and is like, hi, I'm so do you believe in love at first sight?
• 29:36
SPEAKER_00: I'm like and I was like, um, uh-uh, no.
• 29:40
SPEAKER_00: Roll the window up and drive the fuck away.
• 29:42
SPEAKER_03: Because first of all, love roll the roll.
• 29:44
SPEAKER_03: Like, I don't care who is coming, I don't care who is coming from.
• 29:47
SPEAKER_00: Like, you would have asked me for a dollar, and I would have been like, Oh, this is normal.
• 29:54
  SPEAKER_03: Window goes up.
• 29:56
  SPEAKER_03: I don't hear, I don't care who it's coming from.
• 29:58
SPEAKER_03: I think if even if Jason Momo was to say that words, those words to me.
• 30:02
SPEAKER_03: I'm like, wait, wait, hold up.
• 30:03
SPEAKER_03: Wait, you just fucked up my whole white dream.
• 30:07
  SPEAKER_03: That's a good point.
• 30:08
  SPEAKER_03: That's a very good point.
• 30:10
SPEAKER_00: You better hope he finds your window before he finds mine.
• 30:13
SPEAKER_03: I want to climb that tree.
• 30:15
  SPEAKER_03: Listen, you're married.
• 30:16
  SPEAKER_01: Can I get a poster?
• 30:18
  SPEAKER_00: Come on.
• 30:19
SPEAKER_00: You can have him for the rest of your life.
• 30:22
  unknown: Oh.
• 30:23
SPEAKER_00: I just want to play in those monkey bars for a little while.
• 30:28
  SPEAKER_03: Oh my god, Lisa.
• 30:31
  SPEAKER_03: You made me blush.
• 30:34
  SPEAKER_03: Just saying.
• 30:36
SPEAKER_03: All right, in that case, that's a deal.
• 31:05
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and then we could be friends later.
• 31:07
  SPEAKER_00: It's fine.
• 31:08
SPEAKER_00: I just want to make sure that he's not gonna hurt you.
• 31:10
SPEAKER_00: You know, it's like when you have to test your kids' food for poison.
• 31:14
  SPEAKER_00: That's it.
• 31:15
SPEAKER_00: I just want to make sure it's not, you know, it's not poison.
• 31:18
  SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
• 31:19
  SPEAKER_00: Thanks, Mom.
• 31:29
SPEAKER_03: How does that help me with the just go with it?
• 31:32
SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna go with it.
• 31:33
SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna go, I'm gonna go with it.
• 31:35
SPEAKER_03: This is testing out the merchandise.
• 31:38
SPEAKER_03: And she's like, okay, when you get on top, do this first.
• 31:41
SPEAKER_00: Been married for 150 years.
• 31:43
  SPEAKER_00: I know I I know when things work.
• 31:46
SPEAKER_00: Well, how do you know when mine works?
• 31:48
SPEAKER_03: Well, I know what his works like get on top in this way first, Agnes, and then do it that way.
• 32:01
SPEAKER_03: Because it hangs to the left.
• 32:03
  SPEAKER_00: Okay, stop.
• 32:03
SPEAKER_00: We need to wow, okay.
• 32:06
SPEAKER_00: Okay, Daniel, not Faraday, starts to tell Desmond about his love for Redhead who works at the museum.
• 32:15
SPEAKER_00: It's like, hi, nice to meet you.
• 32:17
SPEAKER_00: I really love this lady.
• 32:20
  SPEAKER_00: I mean, okay.
• 32:21
SPEAKER_00: In in the bananas world of all things that are lost, this is like cuckoo coconut bananas, okay?
• 32:29
  SPEAKER_00: I don't crazy.
• 32:31
  SPEAKER_00: I don't even know the words.
• 32:33
SPEAKER_00: But he says when he saw her, it was as if he already loved her.
• 32:39
SPEAKER_00: He states that on the same night he woke and wrote in his notebook, and then he shows Desmond the notebook and explains that a mathematician friend said that these were advanced quantum mechanic equations which would need a lifetime of study to understand.
• 32:59
SPEAKER_00: He tries to explain to Desmond that it's as if something catastrophic had been about to happen, and the only way to stop it had been to release a huge amount of energy, like setting off a nuclear bomb.
• 33:12
SPEAKER_00: He rhetorically asks whether this life was not meant to be, and whether there had been another life in which, for some reason, we changed things.
• 33:22
SPEAKER_00: So not just hi, nice to meet you, do be living love at first sight, but like, hi, nice to meet you.
• 33:27
SPEAKER_00: I met this redhead, I feel like I already loved her, and also you want to see my journal?
• 33:33
SPEAKER_00: Daniel Faraday, I'm sorry, Daniel Widmore is the equivalent of a six-year-old.
• 33:38
SPEAKER_00: At the same time, Desmond's just like, okay.
• 33:42
SPEAKER_00: Well, could you imagine being Destiny?
• 33:45
SPEAKER_00: Because it's like two hours ago, he just heard the same shit from Charlie with minus the quantum mechanics.
• 33:53
  SPEAKER_00: Like, you know?
• 33:56
SPEAKER_03: Maybe it's just me, but I would be like, yeah, back to the hotel.
• 34:00
SPEAKER_03: Someone pour me another drink, maybe a joint.
• 34:05
  SPEAKER_03: And I don't understand.
• 34:06
SPEAKER_00: At that point, I'm I'm drinking all the alcohol in that limo because like what has my day become?
• 34:11
  SPEAKER_03: Right.
• 34:12
SPEAKER_03: Pick up pick up a hooker on Rodeo Drive.
• 34:15
SPEAKER_00: Like, um in one day, Desmond has had to babysitter a rock star with a death wish.
• 34:24
SPEAKER_03: Drove headlong into the long drive off a short pier.
• 34:29
  SPEAKER_00: Right.
• 34:30
  SPEAKER_00: Hallucinated.
• 34:34
SPEAKER_00: Now saw the the word penny in the hallucination, then heard the name Penny, and now he's got this kid talking about love at first sight and quantum mechanics.
• 34:46
SPEAKER_00: Desmond is probably like, what the I smoke?
• 34:49
SPEAKER_03: The revelation that Penny, Penny, is this guy's Daniel's half sister.
• 34:55
  SPEAKER_03: Right.
• 34:56
SPEAKER_03: And we didn't hear that yet.
• 34:58
  SPEAKER_03: I know.
• 34:59
SPEAKER_03: So I I still think I don't think I would have been here that long.
• 35:02
SPEAKER_03: I would have been gone a long time ago.
• 35:04
SPEAKER_03: After the crazy bugger tried to run off into the like off the hospital.
• 35:08
SPEAKER_03: I'm like, all right, bye.
• 35:10
  SPEAKER_03: Bye bye.
• 35:11
  SPEAKER_00: I'm done.
• 35:14
SPEAKER_00: He adds that he doesn't need to set off a nuclear bomb because he thinks he already has.
• 35:19
SPEAKER_00: Desmond is like, um, I don't know what this has to do with me.
• 35:24
SPEAKER_00: And Daniel then asks why Desmond is looking for Penny.
• 35:29
SPEAKER_00: He says he doesn't know what he has found and that it's just an idea.
• 35:34
SPEAKER_00: But Daniel tells him he knows and that what he has found is love.
• 35:40
SPEAKER_00: When Desmond says he doesn't even know who this woman is or if she exists, Daniel's like, yeah, she exists.
• 35:46
  SPEAKER_00: She's my half-sister.
• 35:47
SPEAKER_00: Um, and by the way, you can find her here.
• 35:50
SPEAKER_03: Like, you know it's gonna give I'm just gonna give this random stranger, this guy, where my sister is.
• 35:58
SPEAKER_00: Let me ask you something.
• 35:59
SPEAKER_00: If I ask you right now, where's your brother?
• 36:02
SPEAKER_00: Are you just gonna be like, oh, he's here running the steps at the stadium?
• 36:05
SPEAKER_00: No, you're gonna be like, the fuck I know what my brother is doing.
• 36:08
SPEAKER_03: I of course my brother doesn't have anything that he does religiously yesterday.
• 36:12
SPEAKER_03: Like well that might be her like her daily thing.
• 36:15
  SPEAKER_00: All right, fine, maybe.
• 36:17
  SPEAKER_03: But I wouldn't give anyone my I wouldn't make it.
• 36:19
SPEAKER_03: Even if I didn't know, I'm not gonna tell you.
• 36:21
  SPEAKER_03: That part's illogical.
• 36:22
SPEAKER_03: Well, I guess he didn't even ask.
• 36:25
  SPEAKER_03: He just offered.
• 36:26
  SPEAKER_03: Like, here, here's my sister's information.
• 36:28
SPEAKER_00: Like to me, that was the that was the least illogical.
• 36:32
SPEAKER_00: Because we live in two different worlds, so that's what it got.
• 36:35
SPEAKER_00: You're just you pick this guy to tell about your life story, and he works for your father.
• 36:41
  SPEAKER_00: He's your father's most trusted, so it's not a stranger.
• 36:44
SPEAKER_00: Like maybe you didn't know him, but like you know that your father trusts him.
• 36:49
  SPEAKER_03: I guess.
• 36:49
  SPEAKER_03: Okay, yeah.
• 36:50
SPEAKER_00: So for me, it's like, all right, you know.
• 36:52
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I just know anyone told if any of my siblings randomly toast anyone where I lived.
• 37:00
  SPEAKER_03: Well, yeah.
• 37:01
SPEAKER_03: We'll just leave it at that.
• 37:02
SPEAKER_03: But okay, even if even if it's an acquaintance, I don't care.
• 37:05
SPEAKER_03: Don't tell anyone where I'm at without telling, no, no, no, I don't care.
• 37:09
SPEAKER_03: If no, nope, nope, nope.
• 37:11
SPEAKER_03: If they don't have the address, they don't need that.
• 37:13
SPEAKER_03: That means you don't know me well enough to have it.
• 37:17
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I like not being found.
• 37:21
SPEAKER_03: And I do too, says the woman that's looking for love, and I don't and I won't leave my house.
• 37:30
SPEAKER_00: So we go to Penny.
• 37:32
  SPEAKER_00: Penny.
• 37:33
SPEAKER_00: She is exercising in a stadium doing a tour de stad.
• 37:38
SPEAKER_00: Desmond watches her running up the stairs, down the stairs, up and down.
• 37:42
  SPEAKER_00: No.
• 37:42
SPEAKER_00: Desmond watches her running the stairs and he approaches.
• 37:46
SPEAKER_00: She sees him and she smiles.
• 37:49
SPEAKER_00: He asks if she is Penny, and he introduces himself.
• 37:53
SPEAKER_00: They reach over and shake hands.
• 37:56
SPEAKER_00: Back on the island, Desmond suddenly opens his eyes.
• 38:00
SPEAKER_00: Seamus and the other texts go into the chamber and find Desmond alive.
• 38:06
SPEAKER_00: Widmore asks how he is, and Desmond wants to know how long he's been unconscious, but it's only a few seconds.
• 38:14
SPEAKER_00: Widmore states that his talent is vital to the mission and begins to explain why, but Desmond interrupts and says he understands and he's ready to begin doing whatever is required.
• 38:27
SPEAKER_00: Zoe and two others escort Desmond back to their base.
• 38:31
SPEAKER_00: Zoe is surprised at Desmond's willingness.
• 38:34
SPEAKER_00: He's like, um, a few minutes ago you wanted to like kick his ass.
• 38:40
SPEAKER_00: And Desmond says, a lot can happen in 20 minutes.
• 38:44
SPEAKER_00: Saeed leaps out of the bushes, he quickly gets rid of the escorts, points a gun at Zoe, and he tells her to run.
• 38:53
  SPEAKER_00: She takes his advice.
• 38:55
SPEAKER_00: Said says to Desmond that these people are extremely dangerous, and that he and Desmond need to go now.
• 39:02
SPEAKER_00: And Desmond is like, of course, lead the way.
• 39:06
SPEAKER_00: Back in Flash Sideways Land, Desmond revives and asks what happened.
• 39:13
SPEAKER_00: Penny explains that he fainted when they shook hands and that she must have quite an effect on him.
• 39:20
  SPEAKER_00: He agrees.
• 39:22
SPEAKER_00: She asks if they've met before, and Desmond says they would that he would have remembered.
• 39:28
SPEAKER_00: Desmond invites Penny to coffee and they make plans to meet in an hour.
• 39:33
SPEAKER_00: He returns to the limousine and George, who is inside of it, asks Desmond whether he found what he was looking for.
• 39:40
  SPEAKER_00: Desmond says he did.
• 39:51
SPEAKER_00: And that's the end of the episode.
• 39:55
SPEAKER_00: So many times that we have a Desmond episode, it it moves away from like the I don't want to say traditional format, because obviously we've seen different formats, but it does.
• 40:06
SPEAKER_00: And I like them the best.
• 40:09
SPEAKER_00: Desmond is a really good character.
• 40:11
SPEAKER_03: I just like the way they write the because I think because they move away from their normal MO, I'm more thinking more.
• 40:23
SPEAKER_00: With this episode, Hurley becomes the third cast member to appear in 100 episodes.
• 40:30
  SPEAKER_00: Nice job, Hurley.
• 40:32
  SPEAKER_00: Horhe Garcia, you rock.
• 40:35
SPEAKER_00: As we see, Charles and Eloise are married in this timeline, and they have apparently raised Daniel, who also happens to be a musician, which is what he wanted to be in the original timeline, but wasn't allowed to.
• 40:52
SPEAKER_03: Because she had plans for him.
• 40:54
SPEAKER_03: And he couldn't do the music.
• 40:57
SPEAKER_03: And now it is funny.
• 40:58
SPEAKER_03: Um, I know we didn't, I should have said it before, but the reason she wasn't upset that they couldn't get Charlie's band, she didn't want them connecting.
• 41:10
SPEAKER_03: She's like, oh, that looks even better.
• 41:12
SPEAKER_03: Because obviously she knows what's going on, she knows what the fuck is going on.
• 41:16
  SPEAKER_03: She's like, Oh, you couldn't?
• 41:19
SPEAKER_03: Oh well, too bad, so sad.
• 41:24
SPEAKER_03: Like when the guys tell me they miss me, I'm like, oh well, too bad, so sad.
• 41:31
SPEAKER_00: Another just juxtaposition is that in the original timeline, Desmond wasn't able to save Charlie when he drowned.
• 41:38
  SPEAKER_00: Right.
• 41:39
SPEAKER_00: But in this one, he was able to save him.
• 41:42
  SPEAKER_03: Well, of course.
• 41:42
SPEAKER_03: It's this timeline, it's like this it's parallel, but it's it they weave.
• 41:50
SPEAKER_00: I see a new TikTok coming on.
• 41:55
SPEAKER_03: It kind of looks cool in the video.
• 41:58
SPEAKER_03: Like it looks okay, never mind.
• 42:00
SPEAKER_03: My nails are freshly done, so they look nice.
• 42:04
SPEAKER_00: Jack insinuates to Desmond the unlikelihood that another passenger of their mutual fight flight would be at the hospital.
• 42:14
SPEAKER_03: But dude, you got two more.
• 42:17
SPEAKER_03: There's like six more that are there already you don't even know about.
• 42:21
SPEAKER_03: I think at the same time.
• 42:23
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 42:24
SPEAKER_00: I mean, we've already seen Claire and Kate end up there.
• 42:27
SPEAKER_03: Said and um was it Said?
• 42:31
  SPEAKER_00: With his brother.
• 42:33
  SPEAKER_03: I'm sure there's more.
• 42:34
SPEAKER_03: I can't think of them right now.
• 42:35
  SPEAKER_00: Desmond and Charlie.
• 42:36
SPEAKER_03: They're all there at the hospital.
• 42:39
SPEAKER_00: So, I mean, oh, but yeah, but but having Charlie there was too much.
• 42:43
  SPEAKER_00: Okay.
• 42:43
  SPEAKER_03: Right.
• 42:44
SPEAKER_03: But I don't think he saw the other ones, though, to be fair.
• 42:46
SPEAKER_00: No, probably not, but I mean, it's just funny because he's just like that's that's not gonna happen.
• 42:50
SPEAKER_00: And then it's like, yeah, well, actually, not just the whole plane is at the hospital at this time.
• 42:55
SPEAKER_00: But yeah, they should have just landed at the hospital, like here.
• 42:58
SPEAKER_00: Everybody's gonna end up there anyway.
• 43:00
SPEAKER_00: Just everyone get off here.
• 43:03
  SPEAKER_03: Skip customs.
• 43:05
SPEAKER_00: We see Penny running at the stadium when Desmond approaches her, and in the original timeline, it was Desmond who was doing the tour de style because he was tra training for the boat race.
• 43:17
SPEAKER_00: And then that's where Jack met him the first time.
• 43:22
SPEAKER_03: Do people normally like go into the stadium and run this?
• 43:26
SPEAKER_03: Like, is this something like everyone does in LA?
• 43:28
SPEAKER_03: Because I figured it'd be more it'll be more crowded than it is, or it just wouldn't happen at all.
• 43:32
SPEAKER_00: But I don't feel like in my experience living in and around New York City, stadiums are not just like open to the public.
• 43:42
SPEAKER_02: No, no, how the fuck did you get in?
• 43:45
SPEAKER_00: Maybe that's like a different area thing.
• 43:49
  SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
• 43:50
SPEAKER_03: Maybe it happens in some places.
• 43:51
SPEAKER_03: Because I feel like okay, it's always just one person.
• 43:54
SPEAKER_03: So I figure like if it's only one, like if it was allowed, I figured there'd be more people.
• 43:59
SPEAKER_03: And if it's only one person, you probably shouldn't be allowed to do it.
• 44:02
SPEAKER_03: So why are you and then people just walking in and out, meeting it just never made sense to me.
• 44:07
  SPEAKER_00: Could you imagine?
• 44:08
SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm just I'm gonna I'm gonna go up to Yankee Stadium and do a tour of the stud.
• 44:11
  SPEAKER_00: Uh no, you're not.
• 44:12
  SPEAKER_00: The fuck you're not.
• 44:13
SPEAKER_00: Get the fuck out of here before I call the police.
• 44:15
SPEAKER_00: Like no, it just doesn't happen.
• 44:18
SPEAKER_03: Shit, they don't want you in there when you pay tickets during an event.
• 44:22
SPEAKER_03: Like at this point, it's like you're gonna.
• 44:25
  SPEAKER_03: Prove your worth.
• 44:26
SPEAKER_00: Widmore says that Desmond is probably the only person in the world to survive a catastrophic elect electromagnetic incident.
• 44:37
SPEAKER_00: What do you think Widmore is up to?
• 44:41
SPEAKER_00: That he's putting Desmond through the test because he needs help and he knows that he already survived one, so he's testing him to see if he could survive another.
• 44:48
  SPEAKER_00: What is that?
• 44:48
  SPEAKER_03: I kinda I don't know.
• 44:49
SPEAKER_03: I kind of want like, does he want to like bring it back to the I don't know what like if the event actually happened?
• 44:56
SPEAKER_03: I don't know, but even then he was looking for the island too.
• 44:59
  SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
• 45:00
SPEAKER_03: Or maybe he's trying to get to the timeline when he's with Elo.
• 45:03
  SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
• 45:04
SPEAKER_03: What the hell he's doing.
• 45:06
  SPEAKER_03: Okay.
• 45:07
SPEAKER_02: Cause I don't know what he knows.
• 45:10
SPEAKER_00: Do you have anything else before we wrap this up?
• 45:14
  SPEAKER_02: I have nothing.
• 45:16
  SPEAKER_02: That's on brand.
• 45:18
  SPEAKER_00: Nothing.
• 45:19
  SPEAKER_00: If I don't.
• 45:21
  SPEAKER_00: Okay.
• 45:21
SPEAKER_00: The next episode is Everybody Loves Hugo.
• 45:26
SPEAKER_03: I thought it was that Everyone Plays the Fool.
• 45:29
  SPEAKER_03: Oh, that's another song.
• 45:30
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 45:32
  SPEAKER_03: Okay, no, no, no.
• 45:33
  SPEAKER_03: Harry Neville.
• 45:34
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, I know the song.
• 45:35
  SPEAKER_03: I love him.
• 45:36
SPEAKER_03: For those who that was really for the those who are listening.
• 45:39
  SPEAKER_00: Okay.
• 45:40
SPEAKER_00: I was like, I know the song.
• 45:41
SPEAKER_03: I know you know the song.
• 45:42
SPEAKER_00: I was just not gonna attempt to sing it because like I already half else attempted Whitney, so like, yeah, I'm not gonna be fair, no one does Whitney.
• 45:52
SPEAKER_03: So I there was, you know, the expectation was don't worry about it.
• 45:56
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, I I sure can't.
• 45:58
SPEAKER_03: But I can belt out an Aaron Evans song in the shower or in my car by myself.
• 46:04
SPEAKER_00: Well, I give I give good car concerts.
• 46:06
  SPEAKER_03: Oh my god.
• 46:07
SPEAKER_03: I do like the dances and everything.
• 46:09
SPEAKER_03: People don't catch me at a red light because I've actually got caught a couple of times.
• 46:17
SPEAKER_03: Remember one guy, he was in a big ass pickup truck, and I was doing shut up.
• 46:21
  SPEAKER_03: Don't don't judge me.
• 46:23
SPEAKER_03: It was to a Taylor Swift song.
• 46:25
SPEAKER_00: Taylor Swift is a shit.
• 46:27
  SPEAKER_00: Okay, good.
• 46:27
  SPEAKER_00: Like I'm I'm not like I don't think I would consider myself a Swifty.
• 46:32
SPEAKER_03: But I do like the girl.
• 46:34
SPEAKER_00: She is one talented fucking lady.
• 46:37
SPEAKER_01: And I was getting it in.
• 46:39
SPEAKER_01: Lisa, I was not getting out the park.
• 46:42
SPEAKER_00: And and I will say some of her songs hit harder than others.
• 46:46
SPEAKER_00: So yes, you might catch me jamming out to T.
• 46:49
  SPEAKER_00: Okay.
• 46:49
SPEAKER_03: So the guy in a big ass pickup truck looking at me.
• 46:51
SPEAKER_01: And I was like, yeah, I mean it's like better is if he would have been joining in.
• 46:57
SPEAKER_01: Well, he was smiling, he was laughing, like, get it, girl.
• 46:59
SPEAKER_01: Like, but it was all right.
• 47:07
SPEAKER_00: Everybody loves Hugo, which is a play on the pre-Everyone loves Raymond.
• 47:12
  SPEAKER_00: No.
• 47:13
  SPEAKER_03: And everyone hates Chris.
• 47:14
SPEAKER_03: And I'm thinking like the real shows, but go ahead.
• 47:17
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, but there was an episode of Lost called Everybody Hates Hugo.
• 47:22
  SPEAKER_03: Oh, that's right.
• 47:22
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I forgot about that.
• 47:24
SPEAKER_00: So now it's remember, and then there was the season, it was what Kate Does, and then back in season one or two, what Kate did.
• 47:32
  SPEAKER_02: Didn't okay.
• 47:34
SPEAKER_00: So they're they're really trying to kind of connect everything, come back around.
• 47:39
  SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
• 47:40
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like this.
• 47:43
  SPEAKER_00: Okay, anyway.
• 47:46
SPEAKER_00: I I I need to go finish cooking my rice.
• 47:50
SPEAKER_00: Your rice is probably like burnt by now.
• 47:52
  SPEAKER_00: It's it's it's on really low.
• 47:54
  SPEAKER_00: It's fine.
• 47:54
SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna have some good big out.
• 47:57
SPEAKER_02: So I hope I'm on my way.
• 48:01
  SPEAKER_00: Okay.
• 48:01
SPEAKER_00: And then we can go to the winery.
• 48:03
  SPEAKER_00: Yay! Yay! Okay.
• 48:05
SPEAKER_00: Next episode, everybody loves Hugo.
• 48:08
SPEAKER_00: Until then, text us for stuff, whatever you want.
• 48:12
  SPEAKER_00: Tell us stuff.
• 48:13
SPEAKER_00: And don't drink and drive.
• 48:15
  SPEAKER_00: And I'm Lisa.
• 48:17
  SPEAKER_00: And I'm Agnes.
• 48:18
SPEAKER_00: And we're out of here.
• 48:19
  SPEAKER_00: See you later bye.
