- 0:23Speaker 2: Oh yeah, no, definitely, have you eaten it any of
- 0:26Speaker 2: the would any of these places let you.
- 0:28Speaker 3: In, let me in?
- 0:30Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 0:30Speaker 2: Will they look at you and go stay outside?
- 0:34Speaker 3: Northern Battle or two for yeah? No, you're probably raised
- 0:37Speaker 3: very fine and fair point.
- 0:38Speaker 2: Yeah, but now listen, they would not be able to
- 0:41Speaker 2: do they would not do what they're doing without the
- 0:43Speaker 2: red meat sector doing what it's doing. And it's setting
- 0:46Speaker 2: some records as well in it.
- 0:48Speaker 3: Oh look, it's just quite it's just it's heartwarming. It's
- 0:51Speaker 3: it's unbelieved one point six billion dollars of exports in May.
- 0:54Speaker 3: So for the beef side of things, that's up year
- 0:59Speaker 3: on years sort of forty percent roughly, and seventeen percent
- 1:02Speaker 3: for the sheep meat side of things. So what does
- 1:06Speaker 3: that mean. I mean it's going to have a little
- 1:07Speaker 3: bit of an impact on us and our restaurants, I
- 1:10Speaker 3: guess now, and our Wendy's and packer, Runger and the likes.
- 1:14Speaker 3: But it's just means it's going to be there's money
- 1:16Speaker 3: flying into our economies. I think the Americans are talking
- 1:19Speaker 3: about eighty eight percent more year on year of our
- 1:22Speaker 3: red meat. China is very strong into the Middle East
- 1:26Speaker 3: a little. So look, it's just it's not exact a
- 1:29Speaker 3: party time because there's a lot of ground to make
- 1:32Speaker 3: up for cat times for the sheep and beef sector.
- 1:36Speaker 3: For these we're going to sit back and hopefully it'll
- 1:40Speaker 3: flow through the whole economy.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Yeah, good stuff. Now, what is the story with the
- 1:44Speaker 2: tractor operators if they don't have a permit getting in trouble?
- 1:48Speaker 3: Yeah? Well so look, look this is a bit of
- 1:50Speaker 3: a this is a funny one, a bit of a
- 1:52Speaker 3: great area because we've had this sort of you know,
- 1:54Speaker 3: it's probably ten or twelve years old. This well, you know,
- 1:59Speaker 3: if you don't have the right permit to drive, say
- 2:02Speaker 3: as a rural contractor a big tractor on the road,
- 2:04Speaker 3: you're up for about a ten grand fine. And it
- 2:07Speaker 3: doesn't seem to be it's it seems very murky. So
- 2:09Speaker 3: the Rural Contractor Association are trying to get to the
- 2:12Speaker 3: bottom of us because look, the John Dee attractors of
- 2:15Speaker 3: this world have not been on Jenny Craig for the
- 2:17Speaker 3: last ten years. They've got bigger and heavier of the machinery.
- 2:21Speaker 3: But they claim that the improvements and things like tire
- 2:25Speaker 3: treads and everything means they're not doing any damage to
- 2:28Speaker 3: the road. And so they're just saying, look, let's get
- 2:30Speaker 3: some sort of let's get the sort of out. They
- 2:33Speaker 3: don't want to go down the road user charge. They
- 2:35Speaker 3: say the government against that anyway. You know, that's a
- 2:37Speaker 3: bit like us town. He's saying cyclust should be playing
- 2:40Speaker 3: road user charges, et cetera. So it's a bit of
- 2:42Speaker 3: a gray area. They just want to be able to
- 2:44Speaker 3: get out on the road and do their job without
- 2:47Speaker 3: worrying about a ten thousand dire fine. So it's catching
- 2:51Speaker 3: up with the rest of the world who don't seem
- 2:53Speaker 3: to have the same sort of issues.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a fair point. Hamuch, thanks very much. Made
- 2:56Speaker 2: look after Yourself. Homach Mackay hosts of the Country and
- 2:58Speaker 2: for Jamie.
