  Hello, everyone, and welcome to Have Faith, Let It Begin. If you hear a little

  bit of noise, that's only because I'm in a different vehicle,

  and the vehicle that I'm in is a little smaller, more sporty, I should say.

  So because of that, you're hearing a little bit of background noise,

  and my headset is not on today, so I apologize.

  But that's because we're changing up the cars, changing up the guards,
• 1:34
  because it is that time of year.
• 1:37
  It's time to save some money to, you know, drive in a car that's more efficient with gas.

  And we all know how that goes. I want to tell you a story this morning.

  And it's, I think one of us, I think a lot of us can relate to it.

  I took my dog to the vet and it was a huge, huge bill.
• 1:54
  We know what bills are like, right? Well, it was $700 Yeah, you're probably
• 1:58
  thinking Good gosh, what the heck did you have done?
• 2:01
  All I had was his annual shots done I know I should be looking for something
• 2:05
  probably cheaper But they've been with me for so many years It's kind of hard
• 2:09
  Not getting I'm not going to say that I'm not getting close to saying Okay, I got to go.

  The point i'm making is when i got hit with the bill it was it was like oh boy
• 2:19
  you know these bills this this month is going to be brutal then i get in the
• 2:23
  car i drive home and i find out that we have to register my daughter for summer
• 2:27
  camp which is another six or seven hundred dollars,
• 2:30
  and i'm like holy cow the bills are just piling up and i just got paid today
• 2:34
  actually so i'm like okay you know i'll kind of make ends meet and all i kept
• 2:40
  thinking about was you know i'm not going to get upset about the money.
• 2:44
  Thank God I have some savings. I'll just dip into my savings a little bit and
• 2:48
  we'll do whatever we have to do. And I'll just make payments and make up the difference.
• 2:52
  This morning when I woke up, my taxes came in and it was such a relief because,
• 2:59
  it allowed me to pay the bills.
• 3:01
  But here's the real message.
• 3:04
  When you put faith in what you have, when you do not allow money to aggravate you.
• 3:13
  And don't get me wrong. It's very,
• 3:15
  we have to live, right? We have to pay bills. We have to do what we can.
• 3:19
  Excuse me. Hey, we're live. We have to do what we can to make ends meet.
• 3:24
  We have to pay bills. You just can't shut off bills, right?
• 3:26
  But what we can do is we can just take a step back and say, okay,
• 3:31
  it's not the end of the world.
• 3:33
  I can do it. And as somebody who has lived paycheck to paycheck in the past,
• 3:39
  I've just learned to not allow the money to get the best of me.
• 3:43
  And sure enough, you know, I prayed to God about my back because I had thrown
• 3:48
  my back out and I concentrated more on what was in my control,
• 3:51
  which was stretching and getting a massage and just trying to get the back to reset itself.
• 3:57
  And when I woke up this morning, not only was my back reset after three days of pain,
• 4:03
  but the taxes came in and it felt like everything
• 4:06
  just fell into place we all have
• 4:09
  issues that come up we all have money
• 4:12
  problems we all have things that
• 4:15
  we have to make we have to put priorities first but putting god first and not
• 4:21
  allowing all that money situation to get the best of you because money can be
• 4:26
  the root of all evils well it is all it is is allowing you to not get stressed
• 4:31
  out and take things out on others.
• 4:33
  And I'm grateful that I have my family, my faith, and the ability to say,
• 4:38
  okay, I will make this work.
• 4:41
  And one way or another, God always comes through.
• 4:44
  Does it at the right time and at the right place. So I want all of you to think
• 4:48
  about that today. Don't stress about what's happening in your life.
• 4:52
  Concentrate on what you have as far as your family, your friends, your faith.
• 4:58
  If you don't have any of those, you do have it on this show.
