- 0:47Speaker 2: Heather MacDonald. Juicy Scoop. Hello and welcome to Juicy Scoop. Well,
- 0:54Speaker 2: I just had the funnest weekend. I went to ASU
- 0:58Speaker 2: and I went to my first parents weekend, even though
- 1:01Speaker 2: My son Drake is a junior there. The last two
- 1:03Speaker 2: parents weekend where you go to the football games, I
- 1:06Speaker 2: think I had shows and I was unable to go.
- 1:08Speaker 2: So I was really excited to go. And shout out
- 1:11Speaker 2: to Juicy Scooper, Meredith, and her mom and dad who
- 1:14Speaker 2: hooked us up with fabulous tickets. And yes, I cheered
- 1:17Speaker 2: on the ASU side and they did lose to my
- 1:21Speaker 2: alma mater, USC. But it was very fun. hanging out
- 1:24Speaker 2: with Drake and to the Patreon person that said, please,
- 1:27Speaker 2: when you go visit Drake, pull a Vicki Galveston. That
- 1:30Speaker 2: is what I did. I went to his place and
- 1:35Speaker 2: it's very much a dude's, I mean, compare your son's
- 1:40Speaker 2: living situation in college. And then you see all these
- 1:42Speaker 2: TikTok videos of what these moms do for their daughters.
- 1:46Speaker 2: And they bring in these decorators and they all have
- 1:49Speaker 2: perfect headboards. I mean, it's just night and day. So
- 1:51Speaker 2: we go into his place, you know, he's got a
- 1:53Speaker 2: poker table, a pool table, you know, fun roommates. And
- 1:58Speaker 2: I made a video, a reel about it and a
- 2:01Speaker 2: TikTok where I acted very Vicki Culverson. Unfortunately, Um, I
- 2:06Speaker 2: did not go to a frat tailgate in which I
- 2:11Speaker 2: was invited by his roommate to do the keg stand
- 2:14Speaker 2: of Vicki Gulveson. If you don't know what I'm talking about,
- 2:16Speaker 2: Vicki from Real Housewives of OC early on in the
- 2:20Speaker 2: season surprised her son, Michael. And I think they probably
- 2:23Speaker 2: told Michael, Hey, we're going to film you at college,
- 2:26Speaker 2: but you know, it's just going to be us, your
- 2:27Speaker 2: mom's away. And then she shows up and she's like, and, um,
- 2:33Speaker 2: so anyway, I tagged her and she liked it. So
- 2:35Speaker 2: it It was really fun. Then we went to a beautiful,
- 2:37Speaker 2: it was much more chill than going to a USC game.
- 2:40Speaker 2: So I liked that. And Brandon was there too. And
- 2:43Speaker 2: Peter and my nephew came. And I want you to,
- 2:46Speaker 2: I don't know if you can see, there's a lot
- 2:48Speaker 2: of hair on my dog, on my, um, microphone right
- 2:51Speaker 2: now and that inspired me to come up with some
- 2:54Speaker 2: new merch and my nephew is helping with me with
- 2:57Speaker 2: a new merch and it's all available you just go
- 3:00Speaker 2: to heathermcdonald.net and you click on juicy scoop shop and
- 3:04Speaker 2: there is my dog has a podcast which is inspired
- 3:07Speaker 2: by raven's hair on my microphone Um, we have Gucci
- 3:11Speaker 2: inspired Juicy Scoop slides. We have a denim hat. We
- 3:16Speaker 2: have so many different shirts, whatever, who cares? Juicy Scoop

- 3:22Speaker 2: of course this weekend, I'm going to be with your

- 3:28Speaker 2: mix of everything. stand up fresh stories and, and the
- 3:32Speaker 2: way you love the Juicy Scoop with, you know, when
- 3:34Speaker 2: we go through the topics together and that's going to
- 3:36Speaker 2: be September 29th. It's in, um, Sacramento and September 30th
- 3:41Speaker 2: in San Francisco. There are still some tickets left. Please
- 3:44Speaker 2: come see us. It's going to be so fun. Everything
- 3:47Speaker 2: is at HeatherMcDonald.net. And of course that's where you join Patreon.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Okay.
- 3:51Speaker 2: A couple of things that happened over the weekend that
- 3:54Speaker 2: I thought were interesting. Um, Okay, so Taylor Swift is
- 4:00Speaker 2: dating Travis Kelke. You know, he's the famous one for
- 4:05Speaker 2: those that don't know because he and the brother were
- 4:07Speaker 2: both in the Super Bowl together and the mom was
- 4:09Speaker 2: like so cute. She was at the football game Sunday
- 4:12Speaker 2: cheering him on in the special box with the mother.
- 4:16Speaker 2: Very fun and juicy. And I remember that he did
- 4:20Speaker 2: have a reality show that was kind of like The
- 4:23Speaker 2: Bachelor and it was called Chasing Kelke.
- 4:25Speaker 3: Kelty?
- 4:26Speaker 2: Kelsey?
- 4:26Speaker 3: Kelsey?
- 4:28Speaker 2: Chasing Kelsey, which was like in 2000 and I don't know, whatever,
- 4:32Speaker 2: like eight, maybe five, seven years ago. Um, where it
- 4:36Speaker 2: was like, I guess, you know, who's going to date him,
- 4:38Speaker 2: but that was a lot of years ago. And now
- 4:40Speaker 2: he is dating Taylor and people are very excited about it.
- 4:42Speaker 2: So that's some juicy scoop. Leonardo DiCaprio has some new girlfriend.
- 4:48Speaker 2: She's 25. So it's a little older than normal. Um,
- 4:52Speaker 2: But I wanted to get into a couple interesting things
- 4:54Speaker 2: happening in the Real Housewives world before we bring on
- 4:58Speaker 2: Brad Wallach, who you'll remember from Chelsea Lately, and we
- 5:02Speaker 2: got into some really juicy conversation about some fun Hollywood
- 5:06Speaker 2: stories and whatnot that we shared. Okay, a little interesting
- 5:11Speaker 2: thing that happened, that in Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,
- 5:14Speaker 2: which everyone loved us talking about them and doing the
- 5:17Speaker 2: impressions of them, As I said, these girls are not friends.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Nobody really likes each other, but they are entertaining me.
- 5:24Speaker 2: So I guess Whitney Rose over the weekend, one of
- 5:28Speaker 2: the housewives had an event and a former housewife from
- 5:32Speaker 2: her cast named Jenny came and they took a photo
- 5:35Speaker 2: together and Jenny posted it. Someone brought it up to
- 5:39Speaker 2: maybe Mary's attention. Mary is the church leader. And Mary
- 5:44Speaker 2: went off and said, clearly Whitney is a racist because
- 5:47Speaker 2: Jenny was fired for racist tweets that she had done
- 5:51Speaker 2: before she was hired on the show. And, you know,
- 5:55Speaker 2: people are getting involved. Whitney had to say, listen, I
- 5:57Speaker 2: didn't invite this person. She showed up to the event.
- 6:00Speaker 2: I reluctantly took a photo with her. She's the one
- 6:03Speaker 2: who posted it. I don't want to be associated with Jenny.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Other people are like, okay, Jenny did some bad tweets.
- 6:09Speaker 2: I give her that. But she wasn't running a religious
- 6:12Speaker 2: cult in which there's tons of reports about how awful
- 6:15Speaker 2: Mary's church was, allegedly. nor was she Jen Schaub, who's
- 6:21Speaker 2: doing nine years in prison. So, like, anyway, it's just
- 6:25Speaker 2: getting real dark. Then over at Real Housewives of New Jersey,
- 6:29Speaker 2: I guess they were filming, and allegedly Danielle, one of
- 6:32Speaker 2: the newer cast members, got so fed up with Jen
- 6:34Speaker 2: Aiden that she didn't just throw a drink at her face,
- 6:37Speaker 2: which is, you know, Housewife 101. She actually allegedly crashed the...
- 6:45Speaker 2: glass on her head and she was bleeding. Now, this
- 6:49Speaker 2: is very weird because I know this from being in TV.
- 6:54Speaker 2: There are special prop glasses, like when you see like
- 6:56Speaker 2: an old Western bar fight where like a beer bottle
- 7:00Speaker 2: would crash on someone's head. In real life, it's actually
- 7:04Speaker 2: really hard to break a glass on someone's head. So
- 7:07Speaker 2: I don't know what kind of fragile glassware this was,
- 7:11Speaker 2: or if she meant to even hit it on her
- 7:14Speaker 2: head or whatever. But supposedly, it's all being investigated. And
- 7:18Speaker 2: then meanwhile, prior to this incident happening, or maybe it
- 7:24Speaker 2: was right around this time, I'm not sure. But in
- 7:26Speaker 2: the last couple days, NBCUniversal, who's also in charge of Bravo,
- 7:30Speaker 2: has made a statement that they are going forward, they're
- 7:33Speaker 2: not unionizing, but they are going forward in making sure
- 7:36Speaker 2: that their production companies that they work with, that the
- 7:40Speaker 2: people on these reality shows have mental health people available
- 7:45Speaker 2: to them, always during the reunions of these shows, for before, during,
- 7:50Speaker 2: and after if they meet it or want it. Also
- 7:54Speaker 2: special training for the producers that have a lot of
- 7:58Speaker 2: interaction with the talent, like the ones that are coming
- 8:00Speaker 2: with the notebook and going, you know what? I don't
- 8:03Speaker 2: think it's really cool that this person said this about you.
- 8:06Speaker 2: I think you need to say something right now. We've
- 8:08Speaker 2: been at this dinner for three hours and it's boring
- 8:11Speaker 2: as shit and the show is going to be canceled
- 8:13Speaker 2: unless you make something happen. So go tell her what
- 8:15Speaker 2: you really think of the bitchy thing she said about
- 8:18Speaker 2: your cheese board now. So that's really the way these
- 8:21Speaker 2: shows work. And that's why you're like, God, this seems
- 8:24Speaker 2: like this came out of nowhere when the girl came
- 8:26Speaker 2: back from the bathroom and just laid into this person.
- 8:29Speaker 2: So Apparently, they're going to get some special training on
- 8:34Speaker 2: how to be a gaslighting producer, manipulator. I don't know. So,
- 8:40Speaker 2: but hopefully it'll be for the good. And then also
- 8:44Speaker 2: more education about alcoholism on set and people overindulging on
- 8:49Speaker 2: Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
- 8:51Speaker 4: Heather.
- 8:51Speaker 3: Heather.
- 8:52Speaker 2: Not only got sick, but people wondered if she had
- 8:54Speaker 2: also peed in the van. I mean, it was just
- 8:56Speaker 2: a really ugly thing. And she was like, I don't
- 8:58Speaker 2: want to come out here right now. I don't want
- 9:00Speaker 2: to come out of the van, shut the door to
- 9:03Speaker 2: the van because I'm going to be sick and I
- 9:04Speaker 2: don't want this on camera. And of course it was,
- 9:07Speaker 2: we had the mic and we also see her. So
- 9:10Speaker 2: those things happen. In speaking of the reality reckoning with
- 9:14Speaker 2: Bethany Frankel, there was an interesting article that came out
- 9:19Speaker 2: from Raider Online where from a former friend of hers.
- 9:24Speaker 2: So it's, they're denying it. I don't know that there's
- 9:27Speaker 2: any real proof of it, but this is what Radar
- 9:29Speaker 2: Online is saying. Well, this is what this guy is saying.
- 9:32Speaker 2: So this guy was her friend. They were best friends
- 9:35Speaker 2: or whatever, really good friends, all the way back from
- 9:37Speaker 2: the first season of Real Housewives of New York. They
- 9:39Speaker 2: hung out. He was at her weddings, the baby's shower,
- 9:42Speaker 2: you know, when she's pregnant with her daughter, which is
- 9:44Speaker 2: the daughter's like 13 now. So they've been friends for
- 9:46Speaker 2: a really long time. And he said, um, He was
- 9:49Speaker 2: looking to sell his place in New York, but he
- 9:51Speaker 2: wasn't happy with his current realtor. And Bethany said, oh,
- 9:55Speaker 2: you should use my realtor, Joe Schmo. Use Joe Schmo.
- 10:00Speaker 2: And he called her and he goes, oh my God,
- 10:01Speaker 2: Joe Schmo is so great. I can't believe it. We
- 10:03Speaker 2: got an offer for our place for $ 10 million and
- 10:06Speaker 2: we're going to take it. And then she said, oh,
- 10:08Speaker 2: I deserve a Birkin bag for recommending you to that broker.
- 10:12Speaker 2: He was like a little taken aback. He's like, ha ha,
- 10:15Speaker 2: wait for me or the broker should give it to you.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Like he was a little bit like whatever. Then he
- 10:20Speaker 2: says that he was there at her place in the
- 10:23Speaker 2: Hamptons and she called, she was getting off the phone
- 10:26Speaker 2: with someone and she goes, oh, this is my realtor
- 10:29Speaker 2: here in the Hamptons. He is going to get a
- 10:32Speaker 2: 20 to 25% referral fee from your listing broker to
- 10:39Speaker 2: give it to me. And he's like, what? That's not right.
- 10:43Speaker 2: That's unethical. Now, I'm just going to explain how I
- 10:46Speaker 2: understood this to work when I was a realtor in California.
- 10:50Speaker 2: As a non-realtor, people cannot give you referral fees. That's
- 10:57Speaker 2: not okay to do. Sure, if you want to take
- 11:00Speaker 2: someone out to dinner, okay, fine. But you can't give
- 11:03Speaker 2: a percentage of your commission. If you do, it's just
- 11:08Speaker 2: not supposed to happen. But if I was a realtor
- 11:15Speaker 2: in you know, in LA and I wanted to refer
- 11:19Speaker 2: a client to a realtor I knew in San Diego
- 11:21Speaker 2: and that person made, you know, a $ 10, 000 commission. Legally,
- 11:27Speaker 2: because we do it all before the deal is done,
- 11:29Speaker 2: you send out this piece of paper that says, I'm
- 11:31Speaker 2: referring you and based on any sale that happens, I
- 11:35Speaker 2: will give you a referral fee, realtor to realtor, of
- 11:38Speaker 2: 20 to 25%. I always thought it was about 20,
- 11:40Speaker 2: but anyway. So the fact that this happened and she
- 11:44Speaker 2: received a kickback, a referral, and she's not a realtor,
- 11:50Speaker 2: so he's like, I don't like this. And then he
- 11:51Speaker 2: said she was writing him back and threatening with text
- 11:54Speaker 2: and everything. Her people are denying it. She's probably hoping
- 11:58Speaker 2: that it just gets ignored. I thought it was just
- 12:01Speaker 2: juicy from the real estate aspect. But also, you know,
- 12:05Speaker 2: they're no longer friends. So this was probably one of
- 12:09Speaker 2: the many things that ended the friendship, but... Here it is,
- 12:12Speaker 2: Writer Online reporting on it. So now, everybody, let's get
- 12:16Speaker 2: into a really fun interview and conversation with an old
- 12:20Speaker 2: friend of mine, Brad Wallach. This is Brad Wallach, writer, producer,
- 12:27Speaker 2: former child commercial actor.
- 12:30Speaker 3: That's true, actually.
- 12:31Speaker 2: USC, MBA, grad, father.
- 12:36Speaker 3: Yeah. Ginger.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Ginger.
- 12:38Speaker 3: Proud Ginger.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Ginger.
- 12:41Speaker 3: Jew. Jew. Occasional comedian.
- 12:44Speaker 2: Heterosexual.
- 12:44Speaker 3: Yeah. Married. Married.
- 12:49Speaker 2: Charming dad.
- 12:51Speaker 3: Well.
- 12:51Speaker 2: I think he's kind of charming. He?
- 12:53Speaker 3: You mean me?
- 12:54Speaker 2: No, your dad.
- 12:55Speaker 3: Oh, my dad. I thought you were saying I'm a
- 12:57Speaker 3: charming dad.
- 12:58Speaker 2: No, your dad. I always remember his face.
- 13:00Speaker 3: No, he is. He's a real sweetheart.
- 13:02Speaker 2: He liked me.
- 13:03Speaker 3: Yes. You kidding? You kidding?
- 13:06Speaker 2: I like a friend's parent who's complimentary.
- 13:08Speaker 3: Well, I was thinking about it.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Anyway, you guys will remember him from Chelsea Lately. We
- 13:13Speaker 2: were on Chelsea Lately together, but he's done many things since.
- 13:17Speaker 2: And he is here and looking very cute. Cute glasses.
- 13:21Speaker 3: Thank you. I look a lot different than when we
- 13:24Speaker 3: first met and started working together.
- 13:26Speaker 2: I just couldn't believe. Okay, so the thing that made
- 13:29Speaker 2: Brad so distinct look-wise was his curly hair. Yes. And
- 13:34Speaker 2: I have to tell you, when I met you with
- 13:37Speaker 2: your curly hair, And you said you had, what was
- 13:40Speaker 2: the kind of car you had?
- 13:40Speaker 3: A little car. It was the first day of Chelsea Lightly.
- 13:43Speaker 4: Yes.
- 13:43Speaker 3: I'll never forget it. I drove into the parking lot.
- 13:46Speaker 3: I had my red Mini Cooper.
- 13:48Speaker 2: Yes.
- 13:48Speaker 3: And I pull in and you had parked on the street.
- 13:51Speaker 3: And you're like, do we park on the street?
- 13:53Speaker 2: It's the first day.
- 13:54Speaker 3: The meter. Do you feed the meter? And I was like, no,
- 13:57Speaker 3: I'm parking in here. And you were like, hi, I'm Heather.
- 14:01Speaker 2: I didn't want to park in. I didn't want to
- 14:02Speaker 2: be too, you know.
- 14:03Speaker 3: Presumptuous.
- 14:04Speaker 2: Yes. And also just like, I don't want to break
- 14:05Speaker 2: the rules. I don't want to piss. I'm not a diva,
- 14:08Speaker 2: you know.
- 14:08Speaker 3: That is definitely you. I just don't, I'm not going
- 14:12Speaker 3: to step on anyone's toes. And then I remember that
- 14:15Speaker 3: you were like, oh, I thought you were gay because.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Of my car and the way I look. No, because
- 14:20Speaker 2: then we get into the meeting. This is the very
- 14:22Speaker 2: first day. So we had like maybe a month before
- 14:24Speaker 2: the show started and Chelsea was still on the road
- 14:27Speaker 2: doing stuff. And you and Tom had worked on the
- 14:31Speaker 2: previous show, which was once a week. And now this
- 14:33Speaker 2: was going to be five nights a week. And I
- 14:36Speaker 2: was very excited. I've told the story many times of
- 14:39Speaker 2: how I got the show, that I was just getting
- 14:41Speaker 2: back into stand-up and knew that she was doing this show.
- 14:44Speaker 2: So I reached out to her and we weren't close.
- 14:46Speaker 2: And then I met with the EP at the time
- 14:48Speaker 2: and brought all this stuff and knew Chelsea's voice. So
- 14:51Speaker 2: I got the job. And you start to talk about
- 14:55Speaker 2: the ring that you're going to get for Shannon. And
- 14:58Speaker 2: I just go, you know, I think also just being
- 15:02Speaker 2: in L.A. for so long and in this business that,
- 15:05Speaker 2: I mean, so many times I've seen a couple, two men.
- 15:10Speaker 2: And I, you know, and I think they're a gay
- 15:14Speaker 2: couple that just looks very similar to each other, like
- 15:17Speaker 2: a Bay December. And halfway through, I find out they're
- 15:20Speaker 2: father and son. And I was like, oh. Literally, just
- 15:25Speaker 2: because I just feel like there's, you know, you just,
- 15:27Speaker 2: so anyway, I just thought because your car was stylish,
- 15:29Speaker 2: because you know how to dress.
- 15:31Speaker 3: Oh, interesting.
- 15:32Speaker 2: And then, and because we're in this business.
- 15:34Speaker 4: Yes.
- 15:34Speaker 2: And you're writing for a woman.
- 15:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:36Speaker 2: That I just assumed, you know, I didn't think Tom was.
- 15:40Speaker 3: No, well, he's East Coast Tommy. With his Boston shirt. Yeah, yeah, Boston, yeah, exactly.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Whatever the team is.
- 15:45Speaker 3: Red Sox. Red Sox hat and shirt.
- 15:45Speaker 2: I've heard of him. So anyway, then right after that,
- 15:49Speaker 2: we all went to go eat. And right away, I
- 15:53Speaker 2: was like so in love with you guys and was like,
- 15:57Speaker 2: this is such a happier vibe than I've ever had
- 16:01Speaker 2: on other shows I'd worked on. So it's like very
- 16:04Speaker 2: supportive and like everything I brought up, you guys liked
- 16:08Speaker 2: and like. It was very collaborative.
- 16:10Speaker 3: Well, I always say to people, I go, on paper,
- 16:12Speaker 3: we were not the most impressive group of people, writers. But,
- 16:16Speaker 3: you know, we just understood kind of Chelsea and we
- 16:19Speaker 3: understood each other and appreciated, just wanted to have fun
- 16:23Speaker 3: and be on TV. And, you know, we didn't know
- 16:26Speaker 3: what we were doing, so there were no rules, basically.
- 16:28Speaker 3: And we were like, okay, I guess this is.
- 16:30Speaker 2: Yeah, we really kind of created the show as it
- 16:32Speaker 2: went along and then found what worked. And what worked
- 16:35Speaker 2: was her with... comedians that were also her friends whether
- 16:40Speaker 2: they were writers or people that she knew that didn't
- 16:42Speaker 2: join the writing staff but she knew them well yeah
- 16:44Speaker 2: that's what worked the best and then we had our
- 16:47Speaker 2: own little tribe and you guys will remember the show
- 16:49Speaker 2: i don't want to have a whole show about chelsea
- 16:51Speaker 2: lately though we may reference it through some of the
- 16:55Speaker 2: topics yes um but then.
- 16:57Speaker 3: After is she still around.
- 17:01Speaker 2: Who i don't know her no just kidding um Now,
- 17:04Speaker 2: this story has been going on for a while, but
- 17:07Speaker 2: Russell Brand, as you know, he's been accused of several
- 17:12Speaker 2: different allegations from like the 2006 to 2013 for women,
- 17:18Speaker 2: three of which are remaining anonymous sexual assault. Some he
- 17:22Speaker 2: had dated, some he had not. One girl was 16
- 17:26Speaker 2: and he was 31. However, wherever country he was in
- 17:29Speaker 2: at the time, that was the age of consent. you know, whatever.
- 17:32Speaker 3: It's still gross.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Totally gross. I'm just saying all the facts. And, um,
- 17:37Speaker 2: he is now married. Uh, he, his wife, I think
- 17:39Speaker 2: is expecting their second child. He is very wealthy. According
- 17:43Speaker 2: to the latest report, he's worth 20 million, according to something. And,
- 17:48Speaker 2: you know, nice house in England and this and that. And, um,
- 17:53Speaker 2: but we, he was on the show and I remember, I,
- 17:56Speaker 2: what I remember from the story, Chelsea lately, you tell
- 17:59Speaker 2: what you remember when he was a guest.
- 18:01Speaker 3: So, the funny thing is, well, I'll tell the story. So, basically,
- 18:05Speaker 3: he was a guest, and this was at the old
- 18:08Speaker 3: studio before we moved over to Universal.
- 18:09Speaker 2: So, this probably, this would have to be, like, 2010.
- 18:12Speaker 3: Around then, yeah.
- 18:13Speaker 4: 2009, 2010.
- 18:14Speaker 3: Yeah. And he comes on, and he was a bigger
- 18:19Speaker 3: star then.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Yeah, he was, like, hosting the award shows. Yeah, like, exactly.
- 18:24Speaker 3: And he was in movies.
- 18:26Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 18:26Speaker 4: Yes.
- 18:26Speaker 3: So, he was, like, a big star.
- 18:27Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 18:28Speaker 3: He comes on and he goes in the dressing room
- 18:31Speaker 3: and it's time to tape. And his people come out
- 18:35Speaker 3: and go, he's not coming out of the dressing room
- 18:36Speaker 3: until he gets an espresso. Well, we were at like
- 18:39Speaker 3: some shitty plate.
- 18:40Speaker 2: We were near a Starbucks.
- 18:42Speaker 3: We were near a coffee bean. So Ryan Basford had
- 18:45Speaker 3: to run down and they were like, he is refusing.
- 18:48Speaker 3: And we were like, is he real? Really? Yes. He
- 18:51Speaker 3: will not go on unless he gets an espresso. So
- 18:53Speaker 3: Ryan Basford had to run down a coffee bean, get
- 18:55Speaker 3: an espresso, come back. And then he came out and
- 18:57Speaker 3: he was perfectly nice. So for many years we were like,
- 19:00Speaker 3: you know what? I bet you that was his publicist.
- 19:02Speaker 3: But don't you remember the.
- 19:03Speaker 2: Other part of the story?
- 19:04Speaker 5: Okay.
- 19:05Speaker 2: So the other part of the story is there was
- 19:07Speaker 2: some guitar or something that was in one of the
- 19:10Speaker 2: guest dressing rooms and he took it with him. And
- 19:14Speaker 2: then he was like, Chelsea, I've got your guitar. And
- 19:19Speaker 2: he was like, come on.
- 19:20Speaker 3: That was the second time he came on.
- 19:22Speaker 2: Okay, let's have a go at it and let's keep
- 19:24Speaker 2: this thing going. Let's start like a Twitter war at
- 19:27Speaker 2: the time people talked Twitter war. And we were all like,
- 19:31Speaker 2: Chelsea didn't care. And I was like, oh my God,
- 19:33Speaker 2: like no one cares. This isn't funny. No, like our
- 19:37Speaker 2: audience honestly wasn't that into him.
- 19:39Speaker 3: No.
- 19:39Speaker 2: Like he's a guy from England and like our audience
- 19:42Speaker 2: is all about Kardashians and all that. So it wasn't
- 19:45Speaker 2: like he was a big, hit and it wasn't like,
- 19:48Speaker 2: you know, the greatest interview ever. And she's just like,
- 19:51Speaker 2: keep the guitar or whatever it was. We were all like,
- 19:54Speaker 2: I don't even, it's not, it wasn't like Chelsea's guitar.
- 19:55Speaker 2: I don't know why we had a guitar.
- 19:56Speaker 3: No, it was a gift. Actually, I have that guitar
- 19:59Speaker 3: in my house now. Oh, okay. I have that in
- 20:01Speaker 3: my house. It's actually a nice guitar. But it was like,
- 20:03Speaker 3: it was just for the, it was donated to us
- 20:05Speaker 3: for the guest to have. And he tried to start
- 20:07Speaker 3: this whole thing. And we're like, no wonder your show sucks.
- 20:10Speaker 3: Because this is the level of humor that you think
- 20:12Speaker 3: you have. He's not funny to me. Why has he
- 20:16Speaker 3: been protected this long? And why.
- 20:19Speaker 2: Right, so there was the studio, there's stuff they say,
- 20:22Speaker 2: you know, we almost didn't want to hire any female.
- 20:23Speaker 3: Staffers at all. Yeah, there's all these stories. Kristen Bell
- 20:26Speaker 3: apparently told him no funny business when they were doing
- 20:28Speaker 3: that movie in Hawaii.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Right, and then there was a talk show clip I
- 20:32Speaker 2: just saw of where he just threw a feet on
- 20:35Speaker 2: his lap. I think it became his shtick.
- 20:41Speaker 3: And he was so, he was probably just so out,
- 20:45Speaker 3: you know, he was so, It was on display. He
- 20:50Speaker 3: didn't hide it. So everyone's like, oh, that must be
- 20:52Speaker 3: his act that he's so sexual and everything. But I'm
- 20:56Speaker 3: sure behind closed doors, he's fine. But obviously not the case. Right.
- 21:01Speaker 5: From morning swims in Sandy Cove to coffee in Ranala
- 21:04Speaker 5: or walks along Sandy Mount Strand. At a certain point,
- 21:08Speaker 5: where you live shapes how you live.
- 21:10Speaker 3: Maybe you want.
- 21:11Speaker 5: More space, a shorter commute or simply somewhere that feels
- 21:14Speaker 5: more like where you are now. On daft.ie, you can
- 21:18Speaker 5: explore the most sought-after homes for sale across South Dublin.
- 21:22Speaker 5: When you're ready for the next chapter, start with Ireland's
- 21:25Speaker 5: number one property platform.
- 21:29Speaker 4: Where did that need come from where you thought that
- 21:31Speaker 4: you had to succeed in order to feel loved?
- 21:59Speaker 3: He said, I have a work dad. I need a
- 22:00Speaker 3: home dad. What happens next? When I came in, he
- 22:03Speaker 3: started crying. Everybody in life encounters hardships.
- 22:06Speaker 4: What defines them is not those hard moments that they
- 22:09Speaker 4: go through. It's about what happens next.
- 22:12Speaker 2: I decided to risk it all.
- 22:13Speaker 3: I realized how valuable every day was. You're worth the work. Listen, Dara,
- 22:17Speaker 3: I'm not going to pull punches. You can use your
- 22:19Speaker 3: voice even if it's shaped.
- 22:21Speaker 4: The stories are different, but the impact is the same.
- 22:24Speaker 4: Only one question matters. What happens next?
- 22:35Speaker 2: And I think that, like, yeah, that kind of became
- 22:39Speaker 2: a shtick. He kind of got away with it. It's
- 22:41Speaker 2: like the same way that, like, oh, that dirty old man,
- 22:44Speaker 2: how sad that he thinks he has a chance with me.
- 22:46Speaker 2: And you just move on and you don't say anything,
- 22:48Speaker 2: you don't do anything. And I think they were just like, well,
- 22:50Speaker 2: we can solve this problem if he's just ever alone
- 22:52Speaker 2: with female staffers. So let's just not, hey, everybody, don't just,
- 22:55Speaker 2: you know, the same way they are now where when
- 22:57Speaker 2: you go to the gyno, there's somebody there to protect
- 22:59Speaker 2: the doctor and to protect you. So they're just like, hey.
- 23:03Speaker 2: You know? But it is amazing. But it is a
- 23:05Speaker 2: shame because then I think more often than not, then
- 23:07Speaker 2: females just don't get hired.
- 23:09Speaker 3: Well, I think absolutely.
- 23:10Speaker 2: Because it's just easier. Let's just not hire females.
- 23:13Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 23:13Speaker 2: And so that really sucks in certain cases. And I
- 23:16Speaker 2: don't think anyone will really admit that. But I think
- 23:18Speaker 2: there's people that choose not to hire attractive women if
- 23:21Speaker 2: they think that their staff, which might be all men
- 23:25Speaker 2: or their boss might, you know, they're just like, let
- 23:28Speaker 2: me know.
- 23:28Speaker 3: I think it's happening less and less though now. Because
- 23:31Speaker 3: I don't think anyone's left in the business.
- 23:34Speaker 2: I think it's happening more.
- 23:36Speaker 3: Really?
- 23:37Speaker 2: In finance.
- 23:38Speaker 3: Oh, well, finance.
- 23:39Speaker 2: Well, I know. But see, that's what kind of sucks.
- 23:42Speaker 2: It's because women got to a place that they were
- 23:45Speaker 2: getting the jobs in finance. And then the boss is like, hey,
- 23:50Speaker 2: I've got 10 horny 28-year-old stockbrokers that are all men.
- 23:54Speaker 2: This chick is smart as shit, but she's also hot.
- 23:59Speaker 2: They all go out for drinks on Friday at 3.30.
- 24:01Speaker 2: I just don't think I want to hire her. I mean,
- 24:05Speaker 2: I just, nobody, he doesn't have to give a reason.
- 24:07Speaker 3: You're right. You're right. No, it's, they're protecting their potential,
- 24:14Speaker 3: you know.
- 24:14Speaker 2: Lawsuit.
- 24:15Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 24:15Speaker 3: So, no, I get that, but.
- 24:17Speaker 2: Everyone just needs to work from home.
- 24:19Speaker 3: But I think in entertainment, I think in entertainment, I
- 24:23Speaker 3: think it's, Now, I mean, when I've had the staff
- 24:26Speaker 3: shows now, I mean, now it's ridiculous how you have
- 24:29Speaker 3: to do it. You know, I've gone on to show
- 24:32Speaker 3: running and stuff. Well, how is it so ridiculous? Well,
- 24:35Speaker 3: now you have to have one of everything, you know? And, like,
- 24:38Speaker 3: you're sitting there going.
- 24:39Speaker 2: I'm just a little smorgasbord.
- 24:40Speaker 3: Yeah, like on Lights Out with David Spade. Did that show.
- 24:45Speaker 3: Thank you. It was a great show, I know.
- 24:47Speaker 2: I mean, you finally said I could be on it.
- 24:48Speaker 3: Yes, you were finally going to be on it. And
- 24:50Speaker 3: then COVID. COVID hit.
- 24:52Speaker 2: I think I was set for, like, March 23rd. Yeah, exactly.
- 24:56Speaker 3: We were like, oh, well, maybe we'll talk about COVID.
- 24:58Speaker 3: You know, it'll be a topic. Like literally we were like,
- 25:01Speaker 3: how many, how much, there's going to come a day
- 25:03Speaker 3: when we were joking about COVID and then it's going
- 25:05Speaker 3: to be like, oh, we can't joke about this anymore.
- 25:08Speaker 3: And that day came and we were canceled. But now
- 25:12Speaker 3: I lost my train of thought.
- 25:13Speaker 2: No, you were saying staffing shows.
- 25:14Speaker 3: Oh, staffing shows. It's like, you start going like, okay.
- 25:17Speaker 3: Because the networks, you know, are really, you know, they're
- 25:21Speaker 3: so worried about perception outside. Not that anyone ever sees
- 25:25Speaker 3: a writing staff, but that's not, it's important to have
- 25:28Speaker 3: different voices and diverse voices. You know, I always said
- 25:31Speaker 3: that the biggest story about Chelsea lately was there, it
- 25:35Speaker 3: was majority women on that writing staff and probably the
- 25:38Speaker 3: whole staff in general, you know, it was 50% women.
- 25:42Speaker 3: I mean, and no one ever wanted to do that story.
- 25:44Speaker 3: I used to always say the story here is that
- 25:47Speaker 3: she's the first successful female late night host and it's
- 25:50Speaker 3: staffed with mostly women. And everyone's like, oh, that's a cute,
- 25:54Speaker 3: but we're not going to follow that story, but whatever.
- 25:56Speaker 2: Well, that's what I've been saying. When I would go
- 25:58Speaker 2: to my agents, I would be like, listen, you know,
- 26:02Speaker 2: this is especially a couple of years ago. I'm like,
- 26:04Speaker 2: there's only one female married mother with kids my age. There's,
- 26:10Speaker 2: you know, the Allie Wongs that are pregnant and stuff.
- 26:13Speaker 2: I go, but I'm actually on the road talking about
- 26:15Speaker 2: these aged kids. That's a unique story. Like, I'm the
- 26:19Speaker 2: only one.
- 26:20Speaker 3: They don't care. Your agents? They don't care.
- 26:22Speaker 2: So I was like, you know, okay, well, whatever, you know?
- 26:25Speaker 3: Yeah, no, but the point is you have to hire
- 26:28Speaker 3: one of everything. And, like, you start going, like, oh,
- 26:31Speaker 3: he's half Japanese. Oh, good. His father's Japanese, so he
- 26:35Speaker 3: has a Japanese last name. So that'll be good, you know? Like,
- 26:38Speaker 3: we'll check him off as, oh, hired an Asian, you know?
- 26:41Speaker 3: And we were sitting there going, okay, this white guy,
- 26:44Speaker 3: He is bisexual. And they were like, hmm. And it's
- 26:50Speaker 3: not even enough.
- 26:51Speaker 2: I feel like a bisexual, it's hard to prove.
- 26:55Speaker 4: Yes.
- 26:56Speaker 3: I guess so.
- 26:57Speaker 2: But it is a nice thing to add. I just
- 26:59Speaker 2: think everyone should add it.
- 27:01Speaker 3: But it doesn't count. At least not those executives at
- 27:04Speaker 3: Comedy Central. Bisexual didn't count. He was still a white
- 27:07Speaker 3: guy first. You know, and so he would have had
- 27:11Speaker 3: to– no, even gay, even just straight up gay is
- 27:16Speaker 3: not seen as diverse enough now.
- 27:19Speaker 2: Right.
- 27:19Speaker 3: You know, you're like, oh, no, no, of course you're
- 27:21Speaker 3: going to have gay people on your staff. So, you know,
- 27:24Speaker 3: but yeah, you end up having to hire one of
- 27:26Speaker 3: everything and, you know, whether or not that makes for
- 27:30Speaker 3: a good room, who knows.
- 27:32Speaker 4: You know?
- 27:32Speaker 2: Yeah. Do you think that when we come back from
- 27:36Speaker 2: the strike– and I want to talk a little bit
- 27:38Speaker 2: about that– Do you think the pendulum will swing at
- 27:40Speaker 2: all where people will have a little more freedom to
- 27:43Speaker 2: just get a collective group of people that they think
- 27:46Speaker 2: has the talent to write what it's for? Because, like,
- 27:49Speaker 2: I was thinking, you know, I remember, you know, fresh
- 27:52Speaker 2: off the boat, okay, about a family in the 90s,
- 27:56Speaker 2: an Asian family. Now, if you're going to write that show,
- 28:00Speaker 2: you want people that might go, oh, my God, I
- 28:03Speaker 2: remember this about my dad who was Asian. Or I
- 28:06Speaker 2: remember this about my mom. So you would want that, right?
- 28:09Speaker 3: Of course.
- 28:09Speaker 2: So that you could write about it.
- 28:10Speaker 3: Of course.
- 28:11Speaker 2: But if you had a show that was just about
- 28:15Speaker 2: a middle class white family in the 90s and then
- 28:22Speaker 2: you had a staff of people like that, would they say,
- 28:25Speaker 2: you got to cut this in half? Yeah, probably.
- 28:28Speaker 3: Probably.
- 28:30Speaker 2: But that's what I think is kind of interesting because
- 28:33Speaker 2: I get it that I think I believe that it's
- 28:36Speaker 2: really important to have different voices in the room. I
- 28:41Speaker 2: think especially for a late night thing. I mean, that's
- 28:43Speaker 2: how I got my job on Keenan because he's like,
- 28:45Speaker 2: I want a white woman in here. Like we have
- 28:47Speaker 2: six white guys, six black. But with other shows that
- 28:51Speaker 2: are very specific, like if you're writing, you know, a
- 28:55Speaker 2: country thing, or a sports show, I shouldn't be on
- 28:58Speaker 2: that staff. No, it's... You know, because it's like, I
- 29:01Speaker 2: don't know anything about that. What do they always say?
- 29:03Speaker 3: Write what you know. Write what you know.
- 29:04Speaker 2: That's the only thing I kind of think, like, I'm
- 29:06Speaker 2: all for, like, casting and stuff, and I'm all for
- 29:09Speaker 2: all of it, but I'm just saying, but if you're
- 29:11Speaker 2: going to, like, have the best product, and it's really
- 29:13Speaker 2: going to be authentic, and it's going to be artistic, and,
- 29:15Speaker 2: you know, the same thing with, like, reality shows, what
- 29:17Speaker 2: happened was they realized, oh, my God, you know, there
- 29:21Speaker 2: isn't enough diversity in these casts. But the cast, when
- 29:25Speaker 2: they started these shows, were actual friends from the neighborhood.
- 29:28Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 29:29Speaker 2: And they really knew each other or they were sisters
- 29:31Speaker 2: or something. And then when they started to cast it,
- 29:34Speaker 2: it didn't always gel because it wasn't authentic and it
- 29:37Speaker 2: was supposed to be authentic. So it's like the same thing.
- 29:40Speaker 2: so I think it's going to there's going to be
- 29:44Speaker 2: they're just going to make less of a demand on
- 29:48Speaker 2: it I think for the top notch people make.
- 29:50Speaker 3: Less of a demand honestly I think that the traditional
- 29:54Speaker 3: media landscape and the studios and networks are in such
- 29:58Speaker 3: decline that Um, it's important for them still, but it's,
- 30:04Speaker 3: they're now all just trying to figure out how to
- 30:05Speaker 3: survive and how they're like, whatever is going to work here.
- 30:09Speaker 3: You know, I'm surprised they're going to do less shows,
- 30:12Speaker 3: I think going forward. Um, and you know, I, I,
- 30:16Speaker 3: I just think that it's kind of like, we've gotten
- 30:19Speaker 3: to a point now where I'm, How do I say this?
- 30:22Speaker 3: Where it's basically people are like, oh, that was cute,
- 30:24Speaker 3: that initiative. But now we just got it. We're now
- 30:26Speaker 3: we're at survival level. So whoever can staff this, let's
- 30:29Speaker 3: just do it, if that makes sense.
- 30:31Speaker 2: Yes, that's what I think is going to happen. I
- 30:33Speaker 2: think speaking of which. So Drew Barrymore, you know, she
- 30:38Speaker 2: did put the spot of the pause on it after,
- 30:42Speaker 2: you know, she got the backlash and everything, which was
- 30:44Speaker 2: the right thing to do. But a lot of people
- 30:46Speaker 2: were saying, well, Bill Maher is going forward. And so
- 30:48Speaker 2: I checked and Bill Maher is not. Now he's not.
- 30:51Speaker 2: He said my decision to return to work was made
- 30:54Speaker 2: when it seemed nothing was happening and there was no
- 30:56Speaker 2: one in sight to the strike. Now that both sides
- 30:59Speaker 2: have agreed to go back, you know, the negotiating table,
- 31:02Speaker 2: I'm going to delay the return of real time for now,
- 31:04Speaker 2: for now, and hope they can finally.
- 31:07Speaker 3: Get this done. What are your thoughts on him? My
- 31:10Speaker 3: thoughts on Bill Maher is at least when he said
- 31:13Speaker 3: what he was doing, like he was stood behind it
- 31:15Speaker 3: and was like, listen, I get it. Drew came out
- 31:19Speaker 3: and was doing this whole, I've really considered everyone. And
- 31:22Speaker 3: this is, you know, there's so many people and blah, blah, blah.
- 31:26Speaker 3: And she just came out as. I think, I think
- 31:30Speaker 3: she really stepped in it.
- 31:31Speaker 2: Okay. You know what? My mind is sort of changed
- 31:35Speaker 2: because I realized how little shit Bill Maher got and
- 31:38Speaker 2: how much shit Drew did. And I think women are
- 31:41Speaker 2: so much harder on women and men are so much
- 31:44Speaker 2: harder on women. And actually, I think it was worse
- 31:49Speaker 2: for him to go back because his show really does
- 31:52Speaker 2: require clever writing. And her show, no offense to the
- 31:56Speaker 2: writers of Drew Barrymore, but that could have gone on.
- 31:59Speaker 2: It's cooking segments. It's funny little stuff. It's not strong jokes.
- 32:04Speaker 2: A producer could have helped go. Ross could have improvised.
- 32:09Speaker 2: So I think, yeah, that's not, I'm glad she didn't
- 32:12Speaker 2: do it. But I do think, why did she get, like,
- 32:15Speaker 2: so much shit?
- 32:16Speaker 3: Well, she was first. I mean, I was critical of it.
- 32:18Speaker 3: She was first. She came out.
- 32:20Speaker 2: How much, what was he? Ten days, ten minutes later?
- 32:22Speaker 2: I mean.
- 32:23Speaker 3: Well, still. But also, she's a huge star. I think she's,
- 32:27Speaker 3: you know, she's been in our lives forever.
- 32:29Speaker 2: So is he.
- 32:30Speaker 3: Yeah, but.
- 32:31Speaker 2: He's had a million shows.
- 32:32Speaker 3: But people already think of him as an asshole. They go, well,
- 32:35Speaker 3: of course he would do that. He's an asshole, you know? And, and,
- 32:39Speaker 3: and I don't know, but you may be right. You
- 32:41Speaker 3: could very well be right.
- 32:42Speaker 2: I think that was a real, you know, and no,
- 32:45Speaker 2: I think she, you know, had it wrong. And I
- 32:47Speaker 2: said one thing about, about both these people is they're,
- 32:51Speaker 2: they're very wealthy. They don't have to do it. So
- 32:54Speaker 2: like they could, you know, you know, she's got all
- 32:58Speaker 2: her other products and all her other things. But I
- 33:02Speaker 2: also think, yeah, she, she, She got the wrong advice.
- 33:05Speaker 3: But who was advising her? I can't imagine anyone would
- 33:09Speaker 3: have given her the advice of, hey, you know what's
- 33:11Speaker 3: a good thing?
- 33:12Speaker 2: Well, I think the people that work on the show,
- 33:14Speaker 2: the producers and stuff that wanted to go forward. And
- 33:17Speaker 2: they were getting the pressure from the advertisers and everything.
- 33:21Speaker 2: And they're like, hey, see if you can convince her.
- 33:24Speaker 2: I mean, we worked for a person that you could
- 33:26Speaker 2: get in her ear and you could change her mind too.
- 33:29Speaker 3: I am not familiar with who they're talking about.
- 33:32Speaker 2: But I mean, I could do that if I needed
- 33:34Speaker 2: to help. If I needed to get her to want
- 33:36Speaker 2: to do a sketch or a photo shoot that she
- 33:40Speaker 2: didn't want to. I knew the thing that would trigger
- 33:42Speaker 2: her to be like, oh, OK.
- 33:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 33:44Speaker 2: You know, so it doesn't mean that person isn't smart.
- 33:47Speaker 2: It just means that, you know, she was convinced and
- 33:50Speaker 2: didn't really think it through. And, you know, and people
- 33:53Speaker 2: that's why a lot of people at home are like, God,
- 33:54Speaker 2: why is she giving so much shit? But in the end, like, no,
- 33:57Speaker 2: it's the right thing to not go forward. But then
- 34:00Speaker 2: people are confused. Why is The View working? Why is
- 34:03Speaker 2: Sherri Shepherd?
- 34:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 34:04Speaker 2: Can you explain?
- 34:06Speaker 3: They're violating the strike, but I guess people don't care.
- 34:11Speaker 3: I don't know. I don't know. I think it's had
- 34:14Speaker 3: Drew not maybe made a huge announcement about it, you know.
- 34:19Speaker 2: Like maybe if she never had made the announcement.
- 34:21Speaker 3: If she was just like, we're back. And she and
- 34:24Speaker 3: Ross are sitting there going, blah, blah, blah. I think
- 34:27Speaker 3: people would have been like, blah, blah. Because Jennifer Hudson
- 34:31Speaker 3: was coming back.
- 34:34Speaker 2: Sherri Shepherd in the talk.
- 34:35Speaker 3: In the talk. And everyone was just like, oh, I
- 34:38Speaker 3: guess they're going to come back. They would have come back.
- 34:40Speaker 3: But she had to go out and say a big
- 34:41Speaker 3: speech about it and be like, hey, I'm crossing the
- 34:44Speaker 3: picket line. And she basically said, hey, I'm going to
- 34:46Speaker 3: be a scam.
- 34:47Speaker 2: She told on herself.
- 34:47Speaker 3: Yeah, she told on herself. And everyone's like, well, that
- 34:50Speaker 3: was really stupid. Yeah. And so I think that's fine.
- 34:54Speaker 3: She had just gone on and been like, ah, I'm back.
- 34:57Speaker 2: I think she's going to be fine. When the strike
- 34:59Speaker 2: is resolved and she comes back, she's going to be fine.
- 35:02Speaker 2: People are going to still love her for who she is.
- 35:04Speaker 3: And she can crawl into people's laps and.
- 35:08Speaker 2: And do all that and dress like a 1970s newscaster
- 35:11Speaker 2: and have fun.
- 35:11Speaker 3: Honestly, most of America doesn't give a shit about our strike.
- 35:14Speaker 3: And they only give a shit about it in terms
- 35:18Speaker 3: of is my show going to come back? Am I
- 35:22Speaker 3: going to see my content that I like? But I
- 35:25Speaker 3: think most people– it's like when Fran Drescher stood up
- 35:27Speaker 3: there and said, this is about labor for everywhere. I'm like, really?
- 35:30Speaker 5: Really?
- 35:31Speaker 3: Really? You think that guy digging a ditch in Alabama
- 35:35Speaker 3: is thinking, God, thank God the nanny's on my side.
- 35:38Speaker 3: We're all laborers together. You know, it's like, I just
- 35:41Speaker 3: don't think we're going to get a lot of sympathy.
- 35:42Speaker 2: That's the same thing. It's like, I don't think the
- 35:44Speaker 2: people that got stuck in the mud in Burning Man.
- 35:47Speaker 3: Who cares about them? It was like the people who
- 35:50Speaker 3: died in the submarine, the billionaire. It's like, that was
- 35:53Speaker 3: really stupid.
- 35:54Speaker 2: You were really rich and that was really dumb. And like, yeah,
- 35:58Speaker 2: I totally agree. There's this couple of things. I'm like,
- 36:01Speaker 2: And like Bethany Frankel is like trying to get the
- 36:03Speaker 2: union and everything. Well, she's putting her phone in women's
- 36:09Speaker 2: faces at TJ Maxx to give them old makeup. And
- 36:13Speaker 2: that's not violating someone's privacy and exploiting them. But again,
- 36:18Speaker 2: I'm like, I just think that people at City Home
- 36:20Speaker 2: is not like, you know who I feel sorry for?
- 36:22Speaker 2: Hannah Z. Hannah Z was on the fifth season of
- 36:27Speaker 2: The Bachelor. And she got real wasted because they didn't
- 36:30Speaker 2: give her enough food. And she cried. And ever since then,
- 36:34Speaker 2: she hasn't been able to get a boyfriend because he's
- 36:37Speaker 2: looked her up or his sister's looked over and said,
- 36:39Speaker 2: that's Hannah Z. And she's a real hot mess. So she, A,
- 36:44Speaker 2: needs to get $ 100, 000. Yeah. And I think the– yeah.
- 36:47Speaker 2: And you think the waitress at Denny's is like this–
- 36:52Speaker 2: Hannah Z meets her reality reckoning.
- 36:55Speaker 3: She deserves it. And you know what? More so than
- 36:58Speaker 3: I do.
- 36:58Speaker 2: Yeah. More so than me who's working three jobs. Exactly.
- 37:02Speaker 3: And have kids and I can't make ends meet.
- 37:04Speaker 2: Right.
- 37:04Speaker 3: But, you know, let's definitely make sure those reality stars
- 37:07Speaker 3: are unionized. I just don't think people, you know, Like you,
- 37:10Speaker 3: it's like– and you had left the business. You were
- 37:12Speaker 3: doing real estate and you came back into it. But
- 37:14Speaker 3: like there's never– this has never been promised to any
- 37:17Speaker 3: of us.
- 37:18Speaker 1: No.
- 37:18Speaker 3: Writing, performing. Like we all knew that when you're trying
- 37:22Speaker 3: to make it in Hollywood, like it's a crapshoot. And
- 37:25Speaker 3: your parents go, good luck. Most people don't make it.
- 37:29Speaker 3: And the fact is– you know, some of us were
- 37:32Speaker 3: able to claw our way through and it's still not easy,
- 37:35Speaker 3: but you make it. But so like, I've never thought
- 37:37Speaker 3: of like any of this as entitlement. Like I deserve
- 37:41Speaker 3: to be writing, you know? And it's like, no, I don't. I,
- 37:45Speaker 3: you know, I can try and pitch and everything, but like,
- 37:49Speaker 3: there's no, I'm not owed anything, you know? And so
- 37:53Speaker 3: what you do is you create your own opportunities. Like
- 37:55Speaker 3: you've done here with Juicy Scoop. I mean, it's really
- 37:57Speaker 3: impressive what you've done and what you built. It really is.
- 38:01Speaker 2: Thank you. Thank you for appreciating and not trying to
- 38:03Speaker 2: be a bottom feeder, trying to destroy my life.
- 38:06Speaker 3: Well, you know what? All I'll say to you is
- 38:11Speaker 3: you sleep with dogs, you're going to get fleas. Oh, yeah.
- 38:15Speaker 2: I mean, it's been a huge.
- 38:19Speaker 3: Awakening.
- 38:21Speaker 2: And in a way, like I always try to find
- 38:23Speaker 2: the lemonade and and realizing that these people weren't my
- 38:28Speaker 2: friends or even people that I've put on the show
- 38:30Speaker 2: that I gave huge opportunities to to find out that
- 38:33Speaker 2: they're in the hate groups writing about me and trying
- 38:38Speaker 2: to see if someone else will put them on their
- 38:40Speaker 2: show so they can do a tell. I go, a tell?
- 38:42Speaker 2: They came on the show three times. What's the tell?
- 38:44Speaker 2: Did we go on some trip? I don't know about
- 38:46Speaker 2: where I screwed three guys. It's going to be the
- 38:48Speaker 2: boringest tell. Like, I offered you a water. She, what?
- 38:54Speaker 2: I pay for your parking. What are you going to
- 38:57Speaker 2: get on me?
- 38:57Speaker 3: Here's what I will always say about you. And this is,
- 39:01Speaker 3: when we first started working at Chelsea Lately, we butt
- 39:03Speaker 3: heads and i was like i don't get it you're
- 39:05Speaker 3: an opportunist you're trying to be on tv you're.
- 39:08Speaker 2: You don't remember this i thought we liked each other
- 39:11Speaker 2: no we did.
- 39:11Speaker 3: Like but like i was always i was probably envious
- 39:14Speaker 3: truthfully looking back you know and you were like i'm
- 39:17Speaker 3: gonna do that and i was like oh this is
- 39:18Speaker 3: annoying and i was like oh she likes reality stars
- 39:21Speaker 3: and blah blah and i was like this and then
- 39:23Speaker 3: i realized you are who you are you are you
- 39:26Speaker 3: have no qualms you're like yeah i would love to
- 39:28Speaker 3: bet this back then. But you're like, I would love
- 39:31Speaker 3: to have been on the housewife. I would love to
- 39:33Speaker 3: have done this.
- 39:34Speaker 2: I would have been on the bachelor getting drunk. I
- 39:35Speaker 2: would have been Hannah Z.
- 39:37Speaker 3: Exactly. You loved all of that. If it was around
- 39:39Speaker 3: back in the day. And so like, like, you know,
- 39:42Speaker 3: like you are who you are. You've always, you've never
- 39:45Speaker 3: been like, no, I don't want to be famous, but,
- 39:48Speaker 3: I guess if the cameras are on me, I'll perform. Like,
- 39:50Speaker 3: you've been like, no, I want to be fucking famous
- 39:53Speaker 3: and I'm funny and I have this to say and
- 39:56Speaker 3: I have this. And I think once I accepted like, oh,
- 39:59Speaker 3: Heather is true to who she is, I was like,
- 40:03Speaker 3: that's great. You're one of my favorite people.
- 40:05Speaker 2: I never really got it except I was at the
- 40:08Speaker 2: Groundlings and this girl's like, the teacher was like, you know,
- 40:12Speaker 2: you have a really strong point of view and you're
- 40:14Speaker 2: the only one here that has it. And I was like,
- 40:16Speaker 2: what do you even mean? And then I just realized that, yeah,
- 40:19Speaker 2: I wasn't, I wasn't this like artsy fartsy, you know,
- 40:24Speaker 2: East coast Dartmouth person. I mean, I just, I was
- 40:27Speaker 2: exactly what I was. I'm like, Oh my God, I
- 40:29Speaker 2: went to USC. I'm going to the game. Um, I
- 40:31Speaker 2: have this new thing called a cell phone. None of
- 40:33Speaker 2: you guys have it. Like I was just, you were
- 40:35Speaker 2: a sorority through. Yeah. This is fun. But then, you know, so, Yeah,
- 40:40Speaker 2: and I think that, yeah, I'm not the typical, I
- 40:43Speaker 2: wasn't the typical stand-up. I didn't dress the typical way.
- 40:46Speaker 2: I didn't have the typical point of view on life.
- 40:48Speaker 3: But Chelsea Lately, your point of view on Chelsea Lately
- 40:51Speaker 3: became so important and so critical and that's what, you know,
- 40:55Speaker 3: despite the ups and downs and, you know, Chelsea at
- 40:58Speaker 3: some point wanted to fire all of us, you know,
- 41:00Speaker 3: and it's like, well, you can't fire Heather. You know,
- 41:04Speaker 3: she's kind of the one generating a lot of these ideas,
- 41:08Speaker 3: you know, and the sketches and, you know, the angles
- 41:10Speaker 3: and the stories. And, you know, it was, yeah, we
- 41:15Speaker 3: could go back.
- 41:15Speaker 2: But, no, it was very, such a fun time. Okay,
- 41:21Speaker 2: this story I sent to you, which is kind of interesting. Okay,
- 41:25Speaker 2: so Hassan, how do you say his last name? And
- 41:29Speaker 2: he's really funny and he had a Netflix special. He
- 41:31Speaker 2: also had a show on Netflix that was kind of
- 41:34Speaker 2: like the world according to him or whatever. He was
- 41:37Speaker 2: very smart and clever. And this article comes out that's like,
- 41:41Speaker 2: the stories that he's told on his special about his
- 41:45Speaker 2: Indian childhood and stuff have been proven not to be true.
- 41:50Speaker 3: It's like, who cares? We should go to every stand-up
- 41:55Speaker 3: right now.
- 41:55Speaker 2: I'm kind of glad that it came out just to
- 41:58Speaker 2: re-educate people about podcasting as well. Because there's been times
- 42:02Speaker 2: where all of a sudden someone's told a story on
- 42:06Speaker 2: a podcast. In 2016, this comedian told this story about
- 42:12Speaker 2: getting a prostitute, okay? And everyone's like, oh my God,
- 42:18Speaker 2: he has to be canceled. This is awful. He joked
- 42:21Speaker 2: that she was crying. You know, he said that he
- 42:23Speaker 2: was crying and she was laughing and everything. And I
- 42:25Speaker 2: was like, but wait a minute. This podcasting is like standup.
- 42:30Speaker 2: It's comedic conversation and it doesn't, we were not on
- 42:34Speaker 2: a stand.
- 42:35Speaker 3: It's entertainment.
- 42:37Speaker 2: It wasn't entertainment, so I'm like, we don't know. And
- 42:40Speaker 2: if this story was really true that the comedian was saying,
- 42:44Speaker 2: all he has to do is say, I fucking made
- 42:46Speaker 2: it up. I made it up to get shock value
- 42:50Speaker 2: and be entertaining because there's the fourth podcast I did
- 42:53Speaker 2: that day, so I went a little farther and I
- 42:55Speaker 2: embellished it. But for me, my stand-up is very truthful, but...
- 43:04Speaker 2: You know, you get to a point of telling a
- 43:06Speaker 2: story and someone goes, you know what you should tag
- 43:10Speaker 2: that with is this or punchline this. Of course. I mean,
- 43:13Speaker 2: I hope people know that.
- 43:14Speaker 1: Of course.
- 43:16Speaker 2: You could have gone to Disneyland, but then you add
- 43:19Speaker 2: to the bits, maybe over three Disneyland trips, these three
- 43:23Speaker 2: things happen. But when you tell the story on stage,
- 43:25Speaker 2: it happened before. On one Disneyland trip, and it rained
- 43:28Speaker 2: that day. And guess what? It didn't rain that day.
- 43:29Speaker 2: It was sunny.
- 43:30Speaker 3: If we're going to go after him for this, then
- 43:33Speaker 3: we have to go after every comedian. Because every comedian,
- 43:36Speaker 3: no matter how truthful you are in all these stories,
- 43:39Speaker 3: and I think they come from a real place, but yes,
- 43:41Speaker 3: you embellish. It's entertainment. He's performing. He's putting on a show.
- 43:45Speaker 3: And I don't think that undermines anything about him or
- 43:49Speaker 3: what he's doing.
- 43:50Speaker 2: I think people are coming after him because his stories...
- 43:54Speaker 2: were stories of where he was discriminated against. And I
- 43:57Speaker 2: think I wanted, I think some of the people that
- 43:59Speaker 2: are angry about it are like, he wasn't discriminated against. Okay, fine.
- 44:04Speaker 3: Yeah. But guess what? Guess what? People he knew have
- 44:08Speaker 3: been discriminated against and his people have been discriminated against.
- 44:12Speaker 2: That's where this story came from is someone trying to
- 44:15Speaker 2: be like, I just think everyone's trying.
- 44:17Speaker 3: To tear everyone down. I had a reporter call me
- 44:21Speaker 3: the other week. They wanted to do a story about... Me?
- 44:24Speaker 2: No.
- 44:26Speaker 3: It was a female comedian, not Chelsea. And I was like,
- 44:33Speaker 3: I've never worked with this person, so I can't give
- 44:34Speaker 3: you any.
- 44:35Speaker 2: Oh, they were trying to collect some dirt. Yes.
- 44:37Speaker 3: They just want to bring everyone down. Maybe they were
- 44:39Speaker 3: the same people that tweeted.
- 44:40Speaker 4: Yeah, maybe.
- 44:40Speaker 2: No, just kidding.
- 44:41Speaker 3: No, but everyone is looking.
- 44:43Speaker 2: Like, was she rude? Was she a diva?
- 44:45Speaker 3: Exactly. What have you heard? And I'm like, I don't
- 44:48Speaker 3: know this person, so I don't know.
- 44:50Speaker 2: Well, I mean, kind of, what did you think of
- 44:52Speaker 2: the Jimmy Fallon story?
- 44:53Speaker 3: Well, listen, I think, as you know... where there's smoke,
- 44:58Speaker 3: there's fire, you know, and he obviously, there's obviously truth
- 45:01Speaker 3: to it because he apologized. Yeah. You know, and I
- 45:06Speaker 3: know people who've worked on The Tonight Show and have
- 45:08Speaker 3: heard things and, you know, I don't know.
- 45:12Speaker 2: I think it's a really- I also don't know that
- 45:13Speaker 2: everyone can be pleasant of every fucking day.
- 45:17Speaker 3: Exactly. It is really hard to be, not, I think
- 45:21Speaker 3: everyone should be nice and appropriate, but- I don't know.
- 45:28Speaker 3: It is what it is. I'm not surprised. And I'm
- 45:34Speaker 3: not like, well, that's it. Let's cancel Jimmy.
- 45:36Speaker 2: Well, I just don't think everybody's Jay Leno.
- 45:39Speaker 3: No.
- 45:40Speaker 2: And Jay Leno had the most sterling reputation to this day.
- 45:45Speaker 2: If there comes a show about Jay Leno, that would
- 45:48Speaker 2: be very disheartening.
- 45:49Speaker 3: Behind the den of tuxedos.
- 45:52Speaker 2: No, but he really did have one where everyone liked him.
- 45:55Speaker 3: He was nice.
- 45:56Speaker 2: We've both been on the show. He couldn't be nicer.
- 45:58Speaker 3: Could not be nicer.
- 46:00Speaker 2: Loved bringing up new talent, all that type of stuff.
- 46:03Speaker 3: But look at Letterman.
- 46:04Speaker 2: Yeah, but not everybody is.
- 46:05Speaker 3: Letterman used to sleep with.
- 46:07Speaker 2: The- The secretary or whatever. Yeah, exactly.
- 46:09Speaker 3: Assistants and stuff. Nowadays, people would be like, are.
- 46:15Speaker 2: You kidding me? And didn't Jimmy Kimmel marry a former writer?
- 46:19Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 46:21Speaker 2: Which is, hey, it's fine. They're married. They're still married.
- 46:23Speaker 2: I mean, you do meet people at work. It shouldn't
- 46:25Speaker 2: always be so taboo.
- 46:26Speaker 3: Totally.
- 46:26Speaker 2: But like, you know, yeah.
- 46:28Speaker 3: Most relationships start at work, actually.
- 46:29Speaker 4: Right.
- 46:29Speaker 3: I mean, that's the funny thing is that now in
- 46:31Speaker 3: this Me Too, Time's Up days, it's like we can't
- 46:34Speaker 3: do anything at work. I know.
- 46:35Speaker 2: And you wonder why one-third of all men under 30
- 46:37Speaker 2: are virgins.
- 46:38Speaker 3: Well, there you go. Because they're not allowed to bang
- 46:41Speaker 3: their coworkers anymore. Right. you know, that's a real problem
- 46:46Speaker 3: for America.
- 46:47Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 46:48Speaker 2: I mean, I thought that too, but I thought he
- 46:49Speaker 2: handled it right by just immediately being like, I'm wrong.
- 46:52Speaker 2: I'm sorry. And then when we come back, like, I
- 46:56Speaker 2: want to make this better. And I kind of feel
- 46:58Speaker 2: it didn't get a lot, that much traction. It didn't because,
- 47:02Speaker 2: also because it's not on the air.
- 47:03Speaker 3: Well, that too, but also, but I do think him
- 47:06Speaker 3: coming out, first of all, he's a, The general public
- 47:09Speaker 3: likes Jimmy.
- 47:10Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 47:10Speaker 2: He's so funny.
- 47:11Speaker 3: He's funny. He's nice. He's, you know, every all that.
- 47:14Speaker 3: So I think he gets the benefit of the doubt
- 47:16Speaker 3: on a lot of things. But then, you know, yeah,
- 47:21Speaker 3: I think coming out, it's amazing how when you just
- 47:24Speaker 3: come out and admit something and apologize, it goes away.
- 47:29Speaker 3: I mean, the greatest example of that was Hugh Grant
- 47:31Speaker 3: on on. The Tonight Show with Leno. When Leno goes,
- 47:34Speaker 3: what were you thinking?
- 47:35Speaker 2: To remind people, Hugh Grant got caught with a female prostitute.
- 47:41Speaker 3: Divine Brown or whatever.
- 47:42Speaker 2: Divine Brown, a female prostitute. I remember she did, you know,
- 47:46Speaker 2: this is one of those things where I sometimes go, God,
- 47:48Speaker 2: this chick came at the wrong time in history. Because
- 47:51Speaker 2: if this happened today, she would, she did do a
- 47:54Speaker 2: lipstick brand, but it really didn't go anywhere. Today she
- 47:57Speaker 2: would be huge. She would be on like, or she'd
- 48:01Speaker 2: be going to the, doing the special forces. She would
- 48:04Speaker 2: have all these things going on. She'd be owning it.
- 48:07Speaker 2: She'd be doing, she would have a podcast.
- 48:10Speaker 3: She'd be on the Masked Singer. Like this would be
- 48:13Speaker 3: a whole thing.
- 48:14Speaker 2: So he met with this prostitute and I guess she
- 48:16Speaker 2: was in his car giving him a BJ and they
- 48:19Speaker 2: were arrested. This is back when you had to go
- 48:22Speaker 2: get a prostitute who was actually walking the streets.
- 48:25Speaker 4: Yes.
- 48:25Speaker 2: Like old fashioned pretty woman time.
- 48:27Speaker 3: Do you remember when Eddie Murphy gave that nice transvestite
- 48:32Speaker 3: hooker a ride home?
- 48:33Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 48:34Speaker 3: Just out of the courtesy of his heart?
- 48:36Speaker 2: It was 4 a.m. in his case. And he would
- 48:39Speaker 2: just get the morning paper.
- 48:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 48:41Speaker 2: Okay. And he saw this damsel in distress. And he said,
- 48:46Speaker 2: get in. And she obviously was having trouble walking in
- 48:49Speaker 2: her heels. Yes. And he said, let me give you
- 48:52Speaker 2: a ride.
- 48:52Speaker 3: And everyone knows Eddie Murphy, nicest guy in Hollywood. Pull
- 48:56Speaker 3: right up. Get in.
- 48:57Speaker 2: Let me give you a ride. I worked on shows
- 49:00Speaker 2: with some of his friends. And I said, what do
- 49:04Speaker 2: you think about that? Do you think that was a
- 49:06Speaker 2: one-time thing and maybe he thought she was a female
- 49:10Speaker 2: or he was into some kinky stuff? Yeah. No, into
- 49:14Speaker 2: some kinky stuff. And okay, like into some kinky stuff.
- 49:17Speaker 2: Not the first time anyone heard of it.
- 49:19Speaker 3: No. But it's the.
- 49:20Speaker 2: what's crazy is those things stick in my head. I
- 49:23Speaker 2: don't know if it sticks in with anybody else, but
- 49:24Speaker 2: when I see him with his, now, now he had
- 49:28Speaker 2: the six kids with the beautiful Nicole and I believe
- 49:32Speaker 2: they were together at the time. I'm not sure. Maybe not.
- 49:34Speaker 2: Maybe it was before he married her. He had like,
- 49:37Speaker 2: One or two kids with like previous women. Then he
- 49:39Speaker 2: married this Nicole, beautiful model girl, Nicole Murphy. Well, that
- 49:43Speaker 2: was her name. They had five or six kids together.
- 49:45Speaker 2: Then they got divorced. He got Mel B pregnant. He
- 49:50Speaker 2: had a baby with Mel B, Scary Spice. And then
- 49:53Speaker 2: he married this blonde woman and they have two kids.
- 49:56Speaker 3: Yeah, he's got a lot of kids.
- 49:57Speaker 2: And he got some award the other recently for his work.
- 50:02Speaker 3: For having kids?
- 50:03Speaker 1: Yes.
- 50:04Speaker 2: Somebody did say what a great daddy was and everything
- 50:06Speaker 2: when they were like honoring him and you know he
- 50:09Speaker 2: is a great comedian great actor and everything and you
- 50:12Speaker 2: know seems to be nice no one has a mean
- 50:14Speaker 2: thing but it's all like I always think about that
- 50:17Speaker 2: not that it should matter no and was it a
- 50:20Speaker 2: one time thing or does it still.
- 50:22Speaker 3: Go on I don't know I just go back to
- 50:24Speaker 3: boy it's lucky he did that back then because nowadays
- 50:29Speaker 3: he would never be able to live that down.
- 50:31Speaker 2: Or the opposite Why not use it to your advantage
- 50:35Speaker 2: and say, yeah, I'm pansexual.
- 50:38Speaker 3: Oh, like Lady.
- 50:39Speaker 2: Yeah. I've had women that, you know, are cis women
- 50:43Speaker 2: that I, but I also enjoy trans women.
- 50:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 50:48Speaker 2: And we also have an open relationship. So now Brad
- 50:53Speaker 2: Wallach put these checks down. I am pansexual. I am
- 50:59Speaker 2: open marriage. I am polyamorous.
- 51:01Speaker 3: I am... You're right. And the story would go away.
- 51:03Speaker 2: Maybe it wouldn't be a negative thing.
- 51:05Speaker 3: It wouldn't be. I think you're absolutely right. It just... Oh,
- 51:07Speaker 3: you know what I... It goes back to... You can't
- 51:08Speaker 3: just admit it.
- 51:09Speaker 2: Okay, the Wayne Brady thing, which also didn't get a
- 51:12Speaker 2: lot of traction. No one really cares. But he does...
- 51:16Speaker 2: Dealer made a deal, right?
- 51:17Speaker 3: No, Let's Make a Deal.
- 51:18Speaker 2: Let's Make a Deal.
- 51:19Speaker 3: Yeah, the host of Let's Make a Deal is pansexual.
- 51:22Speaker 3: Huge story. I'm kidding. Okay, so.
- 51:26Speaker 2: I thought, okay, now there's one or two things I've
- 51:31Speaker 2: thought why he came out that day. One could be
- 51:34Speaker 2: it's going to come out that he has a girlfriend
- 51:37Speaker 2: or whatever that's a trans woman. I don't know. And
- 51:41Speaker 2: he's on this like, you know, daytime show that old
- 51:44Speaker 2: people watch and whatever. Or it's not true at all.
- 51:49Speaker 2: And his contract is coming up. And he probably makes
- 51:53Speaker 2: a lot of money and they're looking to get rid
- 51:55Speaker 2: of him. Possibly. What is it?
- 51:57Speaker 3: What is the scoop? He has a new show on Hulu,
- 52:00Speaker 3: a reality show. And it's to generate buzz about that.
- 52:05Speaker 3: And the show is him and his ex-wife.
- 52:09Speaker 2: Okay.
- 52:10Speaker 3: And how they're still great friends.
- 52:12Speaker 2: Okay.
- 52:13Speaker 3: And they work together. And they raised their daughter together.
- 52:19Speaker 3: But she's remarried now, his ex-wife. And they're all friends.
- 52:22Speaker 3: And they all kind of live together, I think. It's
- 52:25Speaker 3: like this weird thing. So it was a promotional thing.
- 52:27Speaker 2: But does he have a gay boyfriend or anything?
- 52:29Speaker 3: Well, I think that... Oh, you know who was that?
- 52:32Speaker 3: By the way, this isn't a surprise.
- 52:34Speaker 2: Who was the guy that started it first? What's his
- 52:36Speaker 2: name from news radio? He's a real mess.
- 52:38Speaker 3: Oh, Andy Dick.
- 52:39Speaker 2: Is he alive still?
- 52:41Speaker 3: Andy Dick, I believe, is still alive, yes.
- 52:42Speaker 2: Okay, well, he was the first to be like, I
- 52:45Speaker 2: have girlfriends and I have boyfriends. Yeah.
- 52:47Speaker 3: Except he wasn't a great representation for that. Well, because
- 52:50Speaker 3: he has a drug addict. Because he's such a mess.
- 52:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 52:52Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 52:52Speaker 2: But, okay, so then I was wrong about my prediction.
- 52:55Speaker 4: Yes.
- 52:55Speaker 2: Because I thought he was going to say... Because now,
- 52:59Speaker 2: let's say Deal or No Deal did want to get
- 53:01Speaker 2: rid of him. Then couldn't he possibly have a powerful
- 53:05Speaker 2: attorney call them and say.
- 53:07Speaker 3: Say, oh, it's because.
- 53:08Speaker 2: Say, oh, I think it's because of his sexuality.
- 53:10Speaker 3: Yeah, of course. They could.
- 53:11Speaker 2: I think... So I think it could be kind of
- 53:12Speaker 2: a smart thing to do sometimes.
- 53:15Speaker 3: Yeah, but I think it was... I also think it's...
- 53:16Speaker 3: It was part of the press release for his new show,
- 53:19Speaker 3: is basically... But I.
- 53:20Speaker 2: Also think if you've got something... going on in your life,
- 53:24Speaker 2: it's better that you just say it first than try
- 53:29Speaker 2: to defend it. So it's always get your story out first,
- 53:31Speaker 2: whatever that might be. And these things, thank God, are
- 53:34Speaker 2: not a big deal anymore because no one cared.
- 53:36Speaker 3: No.
- 53:37Speaker 2: Even the old people at the retirement center, the assisted
- 53:41Speaker 2: living that are watching the people in the bad costumes
- 53:46Speaker 2: on Let's Make a Deal are like, Pam, what?
- 53:48Speaker 3: What? I need a pan. You think they know anything?
- 53:51Speaker 3: You think they're reading anything?
- 53:53Speaker 4: No.
- 53:53Speaker 3: They don't give a crap about it.
- 53:56Speaker 2: No, they watch their show.
- 53:57Speaker 3: They watch, exactly.
- 53:58Speaker 2: They bet the things.
- 54:00Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 54:00Speaker 2: Okay, let's talk about Kanye for a minute. I don't
- 54:02Speaker 2: know if you know what's going on with him.
- 54:04Speaker 3: That he's been in Italy forever?
- 54:07Speaker 2: He's been in Italy, walks around with no shoes. He
- 54:09Speaker 2: has his face covered. He's wearing many layers of black.
- 54:13Speaker 2: People say it does affect the black clothing. It does
- 54:15Speaker 2: affect his BO situation. Then he has this girl, Bianca,
- 54:20Speaker 2: who I have said, where is this girl's family and friends?
- 54:23Speaker 2: He puts her in nylons that she has to pull
- 54:25Speaker 2: all the way up to her tits and walk around
- 54:27Speaker 2: holding a pillow.
- 54:28Speaker 3: It's like he has a kept woman. This to me,
- 54:31Speaker 3: I'll never forget one time I was at Morton's having
- 54:35Speaker 3: a dinner and there was this guy came in and
- 54:36Speaker 3: he was with this girlfriend, hooker, I don't know. But
- 54:41Speaker 3: she was on a leash around her neck. At Morton's?
- 54:45Speaker 2: At Morton's. In Beverly Hills?
- 54:46Speaker 3: In Beverly Hills.
- 54:48Speaker 2: So he's holding the leash?
- 54:49Speaker 3: He's holding the leash through dinner. And it's around her neck.
- 54:52Speaker 3: And she's deaf. And they get in a fight about something.
- 54:56Speaker 3: And they're arguing at the restaurant, at the table. And
- 55:00Speaker 3: he's still holding the fucking leash. Pardon my language. He's
- 55:03Speaker 3: still holding the leash and everything. And they get up
- 55:05Speaker 3: and they leave. And they were like. Exchanging notes because
- 55:08Speaker 3: they couldn't, because she was like, you know, you do deaf.
- 55:11Speaker 2: Well, also, well, I'm not going to, but also, I mean.
- 55:15Speaker 3: But the point is.
- 55:16Speaker 2: This is horrible.
- 55:17Speaker 3: There's vibes of this with Kanye and her. It's like,
- 55:20Speaker 3: are you just being led around?
- 55:21Speaker 2: Wait, how did the evening end?
- 55:23Speaker 3: They stormed out.
- 55:25Speaker 2: Stormed out while he's got the leech?
- 55:27Speaker 3: Yes, yes.
- 55:28Speaker 2: And you must have said something to their waiter.
- 55:30Speaker 3: Yes, well, the waiter came. He brought us the notes
- 55:33Speaker 3: that they had been exchanging.
- 55:34Speaker 2: And what were they saying?
- 55:35Speaker 3: I don't even remember now. But it was... It's a
- 55:38Speaker 3: pretty good story not to remember. I know, but it was...
- 55:41Speaker 3: I'll put it this way. I've never been back to
- 55:43Speaker 3: that Morton's. That put a real damper on the evening.
- 55:47Speaker 3: We were like, this is weird. But anyway, that's what
- 55:51Speaker 3: I feel like with her.
- 55:52Speaker 2: Okay, so she said... According to Daily Mail, Kanye West's wife, Bianca,
- 55:56Speaker 2: has accused concerned friends of being jealous that she loves
- 56:02Speaker 2: the fame and everything. I said the only way that
- 56:06Speaker 2: I would be okay if this was someone I cared
- 56:08Speaker 2: about in my life is if she called me on
- 56:09Speaker 2: the phone and was like, don't worry. I'm coming out
- 56:12Speaker 2: with a line of nylons. I'm going to have 51%
- 56:15Speaker 2: of the company. I'm using Kanye. He's such a freak.
- 56:18Speaker 2: Get ready. Like move over legs.
- 56:21Speaker 3: It's fucking happening.
- 56:22Speaker 2: Like that's the only way. Otherwise, you're like, what the
- 56:24Speaker 2: hell is this? But there's a new lawsuit against Kanye.
- 56:28Speaker 2: So he bought this $ 57 million Malibu home. And he
- 56:33Speaker 2: hired this guy, Tony Saxon. And this guy was the
- 56:37Speaker 2: property manager. He was a caretaker. He had to like
- 56:40Speaker 2: sleep on the floor there. All of a sudden, according
- 56:43Speaker 2: to this lawsuit, Kanye wanted to convert the Malibu mansion
- 56:47Speaker 2: into a windowless, electricity-free bomb shelter. And he came telling him,
- 56:53Speaker 2: that's it. I'm going to make this the Batcave. I
- 56:56Speaker 2: want to hide from the Clintons and the Kardashians. Get
- 56:59Speaker 2: rid of all these windows. And the guy was like, no,
- 57:02Speaker 2: I'm not getting rid of windows and getting rid of
- 57:05Speaker 2: this electricity.
- 57:05Speaker 3: Especially in Malibu. That's the whole thing is the view.
- 57:07Speaker 2: I know. And then he goes, it could cause a fire,
- 57:10Speaker 2: all this stuff. So anyway, then he was fired in
- 57:14Speaker 2: the fall of 2021. And he had a back injury.
- 57:18Speaker 2: And so, you know, he's going, did a 40 page
- 57:21Speaker 2: lawsuit suing him for that.
- 57:23Speaker 3: Just like if Kanye is all spending all this time
- 57:26Speaker 3: in Italy and everything, like who's taking the kids to school?
- 57:29Speaker 3: So he's not doing colorful.
- 57:31Speaker 2: She is. And she just got mad at her son, Saint, because.
- 57:35Speaker 3: He flipped off the paparazzi.
- 57:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 57:38Speaker 2: And she scolded him. And I'm like. I mean, what
- 57:41Speaker 2: do you expect? I mean, but I think it's good
- 57:44Speaker 2: that she scolded him, and I think it's good that
- 57:46Speaker 2: he flipped him off.
- 57:47Speaker 3: Here's the thing is, I do think, and I have
- 57:51Speaker 3: friends who are very friendly with her, and I do
- 57:55Speaker 3: think she's a good mother. Oh, definitely. And this is
- 57:59Speaker 3: a lot of bullshit she has to deal with.
- 58:01Speaker 2: This is a lot of bullshit you have to deal with.
- 58:03Speaker 2: Because I'm like, what about when they come back from Italy?
- 58:07Speaker 2: Does she want this girl bringing her own pillow to
- 58:09Speaker 2: sit on? At the soccer game with her nylons and
- 58:13Speaker 2: her pumps seeping into the grass. Going, go, Saint, go.
- 58:17Speaker 3: By the way, he's clearly not mentally well.
- 58:21Speaker 2: No.
- 58:22Speaker 3: And because he's wealthy and famous, everyone just goes, okay,
- 58:26Speaker 3: I guess he can wander around like this.
- 58:28Speaker 2: I always thought it was really weird that she, who
- 58:31Speaker 2: was such an innovator of style herself, in the beginning years,
- 58:35Speaker 2: like when North was born, and I was kind of
- 58:37Speaker 2: still around, it was told to us, you know, do
- 58:42Speaker 2: not get any baby gifts for North that are not white, beige, white, beige,
- 58:50Speaker 2: or black, no.
- 58:52Speaker 3: Pink, no purple, no orange. That's what he wanted.
- 58:55Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 58:55Speaker 2: And that's what she said she wanted to. And I
- 58:58Speaker 2: was like, and I remember one time Kim was like, Oh,
- 59:02Speaker 2: North is so cute. She woke up. She was like dreaming.
- 59:05Speaker 2: And she was like, ponytail. I want a ponytail. And
- 59:07Speaker 2: I'm like, You know, she's going to want her own.
- 59:10Speaker 2: fashion and she's going to want her own clothes and
- 59:12Speaker 2: eventually that did happen and it wasn't forever but when
- 59:14Speaker 2: they were building that house and then it was like
- 59:17Speaker 2: they were living at Kim's because every time they thought
- 59:21Speaker 2: they were going to move out Kim would be like
- 59:23Speaker 2: oh sorry Chris Kanye doesn't like the Italian marble that
- 59:27Speaker 2: we just put in throughout the entire master bath And
- 59:29Speaker 2: now we have to tear it out. And it's like
- 59:32Speaker 2: all the money in the world going through a remodel
- 59:34Speaker 2: is fucking hell.
- 59:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 59:36Speaker 2: I don't care how rich you are. It's not fun.
- 59:38Speaker 3: No.
- 59:39Speaker 2: And you're like, this was not fun.
- 59:41Speaker 3: And it leads to a lot of divorce. Totally. Listen,
- 59:44Speaker 3: my wife, as you know, is an interior designer. That's right.
- 59:47Speaker 2: Yeah, she should know.
- 59:48Speaker 3: I mean, she gets in the middle of a lot
- 59:49Speaker 3: of things. You're like, oh, gosh. I know.
- 59:52Speaker 4: I mean, I.
- 59:53Speaker 2: I've been lucky enough to be in that position. And
- 59:55Speaker 2: I'm like, wow, this isn't as fun. It's actually really stressful.
- 59:58Speaker 2: Am I picking something too trendy? Peter doesn't want this.
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: I want a different color, you know, like whatever. And, um,
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: but yeah, I think that was really hard. And I
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: think for a long time she would wear what he wanted.
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: She was wearing the big ski jackets, Kim in 105
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: degree weather and Woodland Hills.
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: And, you know, this is what I want. This is what, nothing.
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: Hung on the walls, nothing, you know, it looks like
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: an insane asylum. And I, I mean, just the fact
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: that she just probably was, thank God, like, I'm free.
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: Yes, I think she's incredibly relieved. How could you not be?
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: But I think she's also probably really sad about it.
- 1:00:32Speaker 3: I mean, you know, it is, if nothing else, just
- 1:00:36Speaker 3: for her kids. I mean, to have to deal with
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: all these stories about their father. I mean, he was
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: getting head on a boat. in Venice. You know, her
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: kids can see that. They can see all that coverage.
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: And it was so great.
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: It was so crazy because he went through this super
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: Christian time. Oh, yes. And he was critical of what
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: she was wearing to the Met. And there was a
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: very real scene on their show where he was like,
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: I mean, come on, you're a mother of four. Why
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: are you wearing that? And she's like, okay, it's fine
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: that you're going on your journey with Christ, but like,
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: this is tomorrow.
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: So she's like, don't tell me you don't like my
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: outfit now. Like, you know, and So I'm just like.
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: Yeah, well.
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: Yeah, because he wasn't really.
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: But the thing is, everyone just lets him call the shots.
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: It's like he's always been the one who's like, no,
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: this is what we're doing. Everyone just goes, oh, I
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: don't know why.
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: I think in the beginning, when he came into the family,
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: he really elevated them in all these ways. He really like.
- 1:01:33Speaker 3: Yes, because he was seen as a genius.
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: Yes, and in fashion and music. And they were never
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: invited to the Met before. And I think. You know,
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: they're happy for her that she's getting... And then, of course,
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: that she's pregnant and all this other stuff. And so
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: I think... And then, you know, at the time, I
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: think he was wealthier than them.
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: Yes, he was.
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: And, you know, the wedding and all that stuff.
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: No, there was. There was a lot of cachet. But
- 1:01:59Speaker 3: he clearly has fallen off.
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: Now, Britney, she posted this thing. Now, there's always Britney
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: doing crazy things. You know, she had a little... affair
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: with her gardener no no.
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: Her housekeeper i've heard who's hiring male housekeepers who've been
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: in jail.
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: Okay first it was first it was the housekeeper that
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: i heard from a very good source no it's actually
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: the gardener anyway it's over.
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: But at one point is that just being racist that
- 1:02:28Speaker 3: he was the gardener because he was latino no oh
- 1:02:31Speaker 3: no it's the gardener no.
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: At first they said housekeeper oh But then I heard
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: from a very good source, no, he's like a landscaper.
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: So maybe it's just a general maintenance.
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: Anyway, it's over with. Yeah.
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: But she posted this thing, which I wanted to talk about.
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: Have you seen this trend on social media where a
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: parent is with their little kid and they're like, we're
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: going to make pancakes today. And she goes to get
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: an egg and the kid's looking in the bowl for
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: her to crack it. And she goes, And she cracks
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: it on the kid's head and posts it and ha, ha, ha.
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: And it's gotten a lot of criticism, as it should. Like, oh,
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: my God, I saw one where they're like, this person would,
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: this is so sad. The kid thought you were going
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: to spend special time with them. And you're doing it
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: for views. And I've talked a lot about this on
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: the show of how I really think it's bad how
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: much people show their kids. And I think that with
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: celebrities and even not celebrities, they see so many babies
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: and kids on their social media that then the minute
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: they have one, they show everything. This is a little outfit,
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: this is a, and they love to see the comments
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: and they love da, da, da, da. But then if
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: you really share every moment as they get older, they're
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: late to potty train, they came home with a bad grade.
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: We're gonna, I mean, this, you know, Ruby Frank, who
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: was just arrested for child abuse. Like, I mean, when
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: is this going to change? I mean, I just, I
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: can't believe people don't see the problem. And some of
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: the celebrities that show every like argument with their kid,
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: or they don't show their kid's face, but they're like, okay,
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: all right. So you don't want to do that at preschool.
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: Well, no, the problem is too, is you're also building
- 1:04:13Speaker 3: up these kids and they end up having their own
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: personalities and their own profiles. And like, I, we have
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: a friend who, who, um, they put one of their
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: kids on social media and it's hilarious and everything. But
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: now it's almost like you create, you create a, I
- 1:04:34Speaker 3: don't want to say monster, but you create this kind
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: of self-fulfilling thing where it's basically, then they become, you know,
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: wanting to be, they almost, they become the role that
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: you've tried to basically thrust on them, you know? And
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: they're like always entertaining and they're trying to be, you know,
- 1:04:52Speaker 3: out there and everything. So I think it's actually not
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: great for the kids too, but, um, yeah, I think it's,
- 1:04:58Speaker 3: it's ridiculous that we're all doing everything for, for, I
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: don't know. Like when you post, you're a public person
- 1:05:07Speaker 3: and you're posting content for fans for as entertainment value
- 1:05:13Speaker 3: and everything. I'm very similar. You know, I don't have
- 1:05:17Speaker 3: your following and everything, but my page is public and
- 1:05:20Speaker 3: everything I'm doing is just to, for jokes, laughs, whatever.
- 1:05:24Speaker 3: And you know, so, but there's a lot of people
- 1:05:28Speaker 3: who put their kids on and that is just, that
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: is the content that they're doing all day, every day.
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: And, and yeah, I, when we first started, I never
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: showed the kids. And even though I felt like I
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: talked about my kids a lot on Chelsea lately, a
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: lot of times people would go, I didn't even know
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: you had kids. Like they'd go to my standup. They're like,
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: I didn't know you had kids. I was like, Oh,
- 1:05:49Speaker 2: I thought I, I made it very clear I was
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: the mom or whatever. And when we first started with Instagram,
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: I would like never like really show them. And then
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: later on, I realized like, oh my God, I kind
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: of missed opportunity because I'm seeing all these other mom
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: people once Chelsea ended. And I was like, oh, I
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: guess I could have exploited them more. But I'm really
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: glad I didn't. And then there were times where I
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: would say something was funny and the kids would be like, don't,
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: you know, don't do that.
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: Don't.
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: Now I'm like, for years I've been like, can I
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: post this? And if I can't, I can't, and that's it. And,
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: you know, I have boys, so they're not trying to be,
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: you know, makeup influencers or anything at this time.
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: Who knows?
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: Whatever they choose is whatever they choose. But at this
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: time they barely care. They're on it and they look
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: at stuff for entertainment.
- 1:06:42Speaker 3: By the way, we have, my parents have family friends that...
- 1:06:48Speaker 3: became born agains but they had adopted three boys yeah
- 1:06:51Speaker 3: you know early on and then you know financially times
- 1:06:55Speaker 3: got tough and they became born agains um and of
- 1:06:59Speaker 3: course their oldest son who they adopted is a gay
- 1:07:03Speaker 3: hairdresser great you know and they they were like they
- 1:07:06Speaker 3: obviously tried to coach it out of him yeah of
- 1:07:09Speaker 3: course they did but you know it was just like.
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: Are they okay now all together uh I don't know.
- 1:07:14Speaker 3: Well, that's not cool. My parents don't speak to them anymore.
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: Well, that's probably a good call. Well, yeah. So I think,
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: so she called it out, Brittany, of like, this reminds
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: me of like, you know, the humiliation and all this
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: kind of stuff. But then she kind of humiliates herself
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: with her weird things. But as long as she's doing
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: it by herself, I guess it's okay.
- 1:07:37Speaker 3: I don't know what goes through her head every single day. Like,
- 1:07:40Speaker 3: what is she thinking about? Like, right now. What is
- 1:07:43Speaker 3: Britney Spears doing, and what does she think? It's not
- 1:07:45Speaker 3: like you— Tell.
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: You what she's thinking about.
- 1:07:48Speaker 3: All right, what?
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: Y'all, has my stuff come from the mailbox yet? Oh,
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: my God, I love this green dress with the feathers. Oh,
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: I love it.
- 1:07:58Speaker 3: I love it.
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: I love it. I'm going to put it on.
- 1:08:00Speaker 3: I'm going to do a dance.
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: I'm going to dance to it. I'm going to dance
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: to it right now. I'm going to turn on the music.
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: By the way— Turn on the music. And that's all.
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: I just think every day it's a new, cheap outfit.
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: It's the same dancer, too.
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: Brown Pumps, same dancing.
- 1:08:13Speaker 3: Can she get a choreographer to come in?
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: I've said that, and I'm like... It's so sad. But
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: Perez Hilton just wrote something on his blog or whatever that, oh,
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: she went to Vegas and walked around some space to possibly.
- 1:08:28Speaker 3: Come back and do it.
- 1:08:30Speaker 4: I mean.
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: I don't know that she could do that, but maybe
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: she could. And that, I mean, listen, she was okay
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: when she had that schedule.
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: And that's the thing.
- 1:08:39Speaker 3: Well, she was okay because.
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: Well, she said she was unhappy.
- 1:08:43Speaker 3: So I don't know why she would.
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: Do it again.
- 1:08:44Speaker 3: She was okay because they controlled everything. So we didn't
- 1:08:46Speaker 3: see all this, but. Right. It's like, we were like,
- 1:08:49Speaker 3: free Britney. And then they free her and we're like, ooh,
- 1:08:52Speaker 3: maybe not. Now I see why she had a conservator. Yeah.
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: Like, I mean, I don't know. I don't know. I mean,
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: it would be great if she could perform at maybe not.
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: as many shows, but a residency is that it's like
- 1:09:03Speaker 2: a Broadway play. Like you have to do it that
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: many nights.
- 1:09:06Speaker 3: She just doesn't seem like she has the mental capacity
- 1:09:08Speaker 3: to make any decision.
- 1:09:11Speaker 2: I don't know that she could do a whole show
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: when she's just doing the same dancing and, and they
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: say she can't, you know, the whole thing is that
- 1:09:17Speaker 2: she can't even sit for like 30 minutes of hair
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: and makeup. We'll see. The book's coming out in a month.
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: I think the book will tell a lot. What is
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: in the book, I think, will make people realize what
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: she's capable of doing or what she wants to do.
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: Or if this is just going to be five more
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: years of spinning at the Cheesecake Factory. You know what
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: I mean? Like, what is it going to be?
- 1:09:37Speaker 3: By the way, can we discuss... I'm sure you've talked
- 1:09:39Speaker 3: about this before on your podcast. Where does she live?
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: And what the... I mean, it looks like she lives
- 1:09:46Speaker 3: in some really.
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: I think it's a big house that was probably built
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: in like 1998 or 2000 and has not been updated.
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: So it's that, you know, Italian villa kind of look
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: that is kind of really hard to update.
- 1:10:02Speaker 5: It is.
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: It is. It's kind of a harder thing to update
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: versus like an old ranch.
- 1:10:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: And so I think, yeah, and there's no way that
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: she's getting it together with contractors and stuff when she's
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: going through a divorce, dating the gardener.
- 1:10:14Speaker 3: The dogs, literally there'll be videos and you can see
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: dog poop in the back. Because, like, dogs will shit
- 1:10:20Speaker 3: in her house.
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: So, no, I don't think she's pulling out the brown
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: spotted granite any time soon.
- 1:10:26Speaker 3: Not at all.
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: That is not. Or the cherry wood.
- 1:10:28Speaker 3: It's not happening. She has no problem, no qualms about
- 1:10:30Speaker 3: dancing in front of, you know. I'm like, where are you?
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: Well, she turns up the comments. So all she sees is, like, views, views.
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: So then as long as the views are.
- 1:10:40Speaker 3: Oh, so then she fools herself. She goes, oh, look,
- 1:10:42Speaker 3: everyone loves it.
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: Yeah, it got this many views, so I'm just going
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: to keep doing it. They like this outfit. And I
- 1:10:48Speaker 2: think that's it. But we'll see what the book says.
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: So this is kind of interesting. Julie Chen has a
- 1:10:54Speaker 2: book coming out. I only saw a quick interview. But
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: it's like, I think it's called something like, something with
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: God in it. And Juju Chan was interviewing her. And
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: she was asking about the fact that her husband, Les Moonves,
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: had to step down from CEO of whatever you call it,
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: president of CBS, because there were accusations made about him.
- 1:11:22Speaker 2: And what do you say to your son? Well, if
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: he ever knows, we're going to say these things aren't true.
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: You know our family.
- 1:11:27Speaker 3: You know your father.
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: I just thought that was weird. Like, you know your father.
- 1:11:30Speaker 3: What do you mean?
- 1:11:32Speaker 2: I don't know. Listen, my parents are deceased. But if
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: somebody came and knocked on the door and could prove
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: that my dad had an affair and like, whatever. I
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: would be like, I wouldn't necessarily say that wasn't true
- 1:11:45Speaker 2: because of the dad I had. I don't know. So like,
- 1:11:47Speaker 2: you don't know if you're, what your parents' sexual life
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: was like. They still can be a really great dad
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: to you. Of course. But whatever, what is she going
- 1:11:56Speaker 2: to say? So she was being very careful, but I
- 1:11:59Speaker 2: kind of think this was a great move for her.
- 1:12:03Speaker 3: Why?
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: Because I was reading the comments and the people that
- 1:12:07Speaker 2: are very religious and like it. They're like, I remember
- 1:12:12Speaker 2: when she signed off on Big Brother for the first
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: time as Julie Chen Moonves, and I'm standing by my man,
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: and that is my husband, and now she's come out
- 1:12:22Speaker 2: as like, I found God. And that's what the book
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: is about.
- 1:12:26Speaker 3: So I think she's leaning... I mean, I believe she
- 1:12:30Speaker 3: probably lived.
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: Hopefully she believes in God, and that's giving her some peace,
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: but I also think it's going to collect a group
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: of people... that believe that no matter what happens with
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: your husband, the thing to do is to stand by
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: your vows and know.
- 1:12:47Speaker 3: And publicly deny that he did that and everything.
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: And just stand by God.
- 1:12:52Speaker 3: And stand by God. God wouldn't lead us astray. That's ridiculous.
- 1:12:56Speaker 3: I think, I don't know. I mean, she was lucky
- 1:13:01Speaker 3: that she even had a job in the first place.
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: Well, I auditioned for the talk.
- 1:13:08Speaker 3: You didn't get it.
- 1:13:09Speaker 2: No, I auditioned for the talk during the pilot season.
- 1:13:13Speaker 2: And it happened to fall on a day that we
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: didn't have a show or something. It was like a
- 1:13:17Speaker 2: Monday off. So I'm like, all right, if I get this,
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: then I can leave Chelsea Lilley. And it was interesting
- 1:13:25Speaker 2: because Sharon Osbourne was there and Holly Robinson Peete. And
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: I was a big fan of The Apprentice. And they
- 1:13:35Speaker 2: hated each other on The Apprentice. And they both were
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: like walking in this room as they were doing chemistry tests.
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: And then Julie Chen and Sarah Gilbert were the ones
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: that kind of created it together. So they were like,
- 1:13:46Speaker 2: we need to find like three or four other women
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: that would fit. So I went out there and, you know,
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: hoping to score this thing. And I was trying to
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: bond with Julie because Julie had gone to USC and
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: And I was like, Julie!
- 1:14:02Speaker 3: We have so much in common.
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: I went to USC, too, and she goes, yeah. And
- 1:14:05Speaker 2: I go, I'm like, oh, I'm excited. Fall is coming.
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: Aren't you so excited to go to the games? And
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: she's like, no, actually, I never went to one.
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: Oh.
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: And I was like, oh! Okay, good time.
- 1:14:18Speaker 3: We had different experiences at SC.
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: Yeah, and I was like, okay. And then I tried,
- 1:14:22Speaker 2: then it was like, the question was something about J-Lo
- 1:14:26Speaker 2: is bummed that she waited so long to have her
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: twins because she would like to have more. you know, whatever.
- 1:14:32Speaker 2: And I was like, well, I think it's a really
- 1:14:33Speaker 2: honest thing. I think too many people think that they
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: can wait forever, blah, blah, blah. And then she was like,
- 1:14:38Speaker 2: I disagree. I waited till I was 40 to have
- 1:14:41Speaker 2: my son. And I was like, yeah, because Les was married.
- 1:14:45Speaker 2: Les was married. Like, I was like, he was married
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: when you were seeing him. I'm like, okay, but fine.
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: You know, I was like thinking, okay, fine, whatever. And, um, no.
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: So anyway, I did not get picked for the role,
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: but then I remember Leah, uh, Remini telling me at
- 1:15:01Speaker 2: a party of what a nightmare Julie was. And I
- 1:15:05Speaker 2: think it's like in one of her books. And how,
- 1:15:08Speaker 2: you know, they wanted to talk about... What she told
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: me is they wanted to talk about the... Who was the...
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: Casey Anthony. Something like that. They wanted to have that
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: in the show. And she was away in Europe on
- 1:15:23Speaker 2: her vacation. And she was like, you're absolutely not talking
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: about that topic without me. And then that really... You know,
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: pissed them off and they started to, you know, talk
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: behind your back or whatever. And then they got rid
- 1:15:33Speaker 2: of Holly Robinson and Leah. And then eventually she got
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: the boot or she took herself away because of Les.
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: And she still does Big Brother. And now they have
- 1:15:47Speaker 2: Jerry O'Connell. Now they added a guy. They added like
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: one or two guys.
- 1:15:50Speaker 3: I know. Jerry O'Connell, who they have tried to get
- 1:15:55Speaker 3: him in daytime TV forever.
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: I know. I auditioned to be his co-host. He was
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: going to have a show.
- 1:16:03Speaker 3: Right. He was going to have it.
- 1:16:04Speaker 2: And he was going to have it with two girls.
- 1:16:07Speaker 2: And we went and we met at a place in
- 1:16:09Speaker 2: Calabasas and we totally hit it off eating dinner or whatever.
- 1:16:13Speaker 2: And– But I got, that was a long day of chemistry.
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: But you know what? They paid me for the day
- 1:16:19Speaker 2: of chemistry tests.
- 1:16:20Speaker 3: Oh, that's good.
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: Like $ 2, 500. That's really good. That would never happen today.
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: And so then he picked Garcelle and his wife. And
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: then Garcelle.
- 1:16:30Speaker 3: Rebecca Romaine.
- 1:16:31Speaker 2: Yes. And Garcelle Bouvet from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
- 1:16:35Speaker 2: And I was like, you know, and she's great. And
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: she was, you know, went on to the talk after that.
- 1:16:39Speaker 2: Not the talk, the reel after that. But, and she said,
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: oh my God, we were so excited. It got picked up.
- 1:16:45Speaker 2: at all these places. And I got on a plane
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: from Portland to LA and I got off the phone
- 1:16:49Speaker 2: with Jerry and I'm on my flight to Portland. It's
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: so great. By the time she landed, the whole thing
- 1:16:53Speaker 2: was dead.
- 1:16:53Speaker 3: Yeah. I remember what happened. They like had, basically they
- 1:16:57Speaker 3: were like, yeah, we're going forward. And then someone else
- 1:16:58Speaker 3: came along and they're like, okay, Jerry, see ya.
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: Yeah. There was no, it wasn't like there was a scandal.
- 1:17:02Speaker 3: It just like didn't go.
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: And he's really, I mean, he's nice and he's funny
- 1:17:06Speaker 2: and like whatever, but I have yet to get on
- 1:17:10Speaker 2: the talk. And I've had like publicists and stuff want
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: to be my publicist. And I say, okay.
- 1:17:15Speaker 3: Get me on the talk.
- 1:17:15Speaker 2: If you get me on the talk or you get
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: me on The View, I will pay for it for
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: three months. And this goes to anybody right now.
- 1:17:22Speaker 3: And do you think they're... They can't.
- 1:17:23Speaker 2: They've called me back and said, I can't get you on. Why?
- 1:17:26Speaker 3: Why are you blacklisted?
- 1:17:27Speaker 2: There must be somebody there. It could be someone that
- 1:17:31Speaker 2: I flicked my hair at at a Sigma Chi party
- 1:17:34Speaker 2: in 1992 at. I don't know. It could be... you know,
- 1:17:39Speaker 2: who knows what it is? They just, they just don't
- 1:17:41Speaker 2: think I'm good for the show, which it doesn't matter now.
- 1:17:44Speaker 3: Who cares?
- 1:17:45Speaker 2: But like, but I mean, I had times where I
- 1:17:47Speaker 2: had like legit publicists. I had books and specials coming
- 1:17:49Speaker 2: out and I could have come on one show and
- 1:17:51Speaker 2: done a hot tie. Like it would have been very
- 1:17:53Speaker 2: simple to have had me. It's not like the show
- 1:17:55Speaker 2: would have made it or broken it.
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: But who knows?
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: And I like, it's, I got tired of trying to
- 1:18:00Speaker 2: figure it out, you know, like, and that's, what's nice
- 1:18:03Speaker 2: about like having your own thing because you just don't know. And,
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: and when people call that blackballing or whatever, it, it's
- 1:18:09Speaker 2: not necessarily like 12 people got in a room in
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: Hollywood and we're like.
- 1:18:13Speaker 3: We hate Heather.
- 1:18:15Speaker 2: It could just be like one person that's just like, nope.
- 1:18:17Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:18:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:18:19Speaker 3: It's, it, that's, that's the weird thing is it can
- 1:18:22Speaker 3: come down to one person.
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: And sometimes you never know.
- 1:18:24Speaker 3: You never know.
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: And I mean, you want to know. Like, I mean,
- 1:18:27Speaker 2: there's times where you just like, there's things in my
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: life that I was just like, I want to know.
- 1:18:32Speaker 2: And I remember I found out what, like there was
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: this girl that we did stand up together and, And
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: she was like 15 years older than I am, but
- 1:18:38Speaker 2: she was really fun. And we like kind of came
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: up at the same time. So we both became like
- 1:18:42Speaker 2: regulars and had our stuff. We'd talk on the phone
- 1:18:44Speaker 2: all the time, everything. And then one day she just
- 1:18:48Speaker 2: never called me back. was short on the phone weird
- 1:18:51Speaker 2: what i'd see at the comedy store and i always
- 1:18:53Speaker 2: wondered what happened what happened so then i start to
- 1:18:57Speaker 2: get back into stand-up and i go i gotta get
- 1:18:58Speaker 2: on this thing called myspace so then i find her
- 1:19:01Speaker 2: on myspace whatever and she's like oh my god heather
- 1:19:04Speaker 2: donald And I go, let's talk on the phone. So
- 1:19:07Speaker 2: we talk and we're having all these memories. And I go,
- 1:19:09Speaker 2: I got to ask you, like you legit like blew
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: me off. What did I do? And she goes, you know,
- 1:19:17Speaker 2: I was, you know, interested in Johnny Sanchez, who was
- 1:19:23Speaker 2: this really funny comedian.
- 1:19:24Speaker 3: I remember, yeah, I did a show with him once.
- 1:19:26Speaker 2: And he was like our friend that we'd always talk to.
- 1:19:28Speaker 2: I was never romantically interested in him, mostly because I'm
- 1:19:32Speaker 2: 5'9 and he was much shorter than I, and I
- 1:19:35Speaker 2: just didn't go for shorter guys at the time. I
- 1:19:37Speaker 2: don't know what my future holds, okay? Not saying I won't,
- 1:19:42Speaker 2: you know? But anyway, at the time, that's not what
- 1:19:45Speaker 2: I was looking for, and I had a lot of just,
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: I really didn't date comics in general. I wasn't ever
- 1:19:50Speaker 2: searching one out, unless they were like really famous or something.
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: Then I was like, who's here?
- 1:19:56Speaker 3: But see, that is true to who you are. Yes,
- 1:19:59Speaker 3: I'm not going to.
- 1:19:59Speaker 2: Deal with some weird guy. But someone who's rich and
- 1:20:03Speaker 2: on SNL or Norm MacDonald, why the hell not? I'd
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: say hi to him.
- 1:20:06Speaker 3: So then.
- 1:20:09Speaker 2: She goes, we were at a booth chatting and you
- 1:20:13Speaker 2: just roll up and you sat next to him and
- 1:20:17Speaker 2: I just, you know, and I was interested in him.
- 1:20:20Speaker 2: And I was like, you were? Because here, like, I
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: just didn't think they were a match. She was a
- 1:20:25Speaker 2: little older than him. I would have never guessed. She
- 1:20:27Speaker 2: never told me she was interested. And nothing happened between
- 1:20:31Speaker 2: he or me. And I was like, all these years.
- 1:20:36Speaker 2: I had no idea.
- 1:20:38Speaker 3: But why wouldn't she have clarified it? Why would she
- 1:20:42Speaker 3: just go, that's it. Heather loves him and she's going
- 1:20:46Speaker 3: to steal.
- 1:20:46Speaker 2: What's interesting is if podcasting was around today, she would
- 1:20:49Speaker 2: have never answered my calls. And she would have done
- 1:20:54Speaker 2: a tell-all about that I stole Johnny Sanchez from her.
- 1:20:58Speaker 3: Would she have put it behind her paywall? No, I
- 1:21:00Speaker 3: think she would have.
- 1:21:00Speaker 2: Put it on the free one and then said for
- 1:21:03Speaker 2: more about the night with Johnny Sanchez. Yeah. In which
- 1:21:08Speaker 2: nothing happened. I don't know. How do I know this?
- 1:21:12Speaker 3: The next day when you weren't calling Johnny Sanchez or
- 1:21:16Speaker 3: you weren't hanging out with Johnny, she would have been like, oh,
- 1:21:18Speaker 3: I guess she's not into him. Or I can just
- 1:21:20Speaker 3: ask Heather, are you into Johnny? Because I'm kind of
- 1:21:22Speaker 3: into him. And you would go, ew, no, he's short.
- 1:21:25Speaker 2: We became friends after that. I did a charity event
- 1:21:29Speaker 2: for her. She was still doing stand-up. We talked on
- 1:21:31Speaker 2: the phone sometimes. Then I got Chelsea and whatever. But
- 1:21:35Speaker 2: I was like, oh, my God. And, like, I've talked
- 1:21:38Speaker 2: to another friend that, like, she goes, you know, we
- 1:21:41Speaker 2: were just chatting. It was Jill Zarin, and she was
- 1:21:43Speaker 2: chatting about how she had this roommate in college, and
- 1:21:46Speaker 2: she never knew what happened. And she found out why
- 1:21:47Speaker 2: the roommate hated her. It was something, you know, with
- 1:21:49Speaker 2: the rent or what. I don't know what it was.
- 1:21:52Speaker 2: But then there was this other friend that she still
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: to this day doesn't know. And I'm like, I swear
- 1:21:57Speaker 2: to God, there's a few things when I'm on my
- 1:21:59Speaker 2: deathbed that I'm going to be like, can I make
- 1:22:02Speaker 2: a wish? There's these four things I want to know about.
- 1:22:05Speaker 4: What else?
- 1:22:06Speaker 2: Well, that one I found out about. Why am I
- 1:22:09Speaker 2: not on the viewer of the talk?
- 1:22:10Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:22:11Speaker 2: So who works there that hates my guts and why?
- 1:22:13Speaker 3: And it really could just be one person.
- 1:22:15Speaker 2: It probably is one person. Or it could just be,
- 1:22:19Speaker 2: I just don't believe that you wouldn't give me a chance.
- 1:22:22Speaker 2: Like it could even be that someone's like, I don't
- 1:22:23Speaker 2: think she's right. There's got to be something specific. And
- 1:22:27Speaker 2: I'd like to know that. I also don't care as much.
- 1:22:31Speaker 2: Then there's other things. There's just other breakups of other
- 1:22:33Speaker 2: people's lives that I'm curious about.
- 1:22:36Speaker 3: Like?
- 1:22:37Speaker 2: Kelly Ripa and Jerry Seinfeld's wife. Why are they no
- 1:22:40Speaker 2: longer friends?
- 1:22:41Speaker 3: Oh, interesting. Jessica. Well, I think she's probably a real person.
- 1:22:46Speaker 2: But then I also think, being that I've had friendships,
- 1:22:48Speaker 2: and sometimes they're not that big and we're never going
- 1:22:51Speaker 2: to know and we shouldn't know because it's a personal thing.
- 1:22:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:22:55Speaker 2: I don't think it's as salacious as people think. I
- 1:22:57Speaker 2: don't think they had a swinging foursome that went bad.
- 1:23:01Speaker 3: No.
- 1:23:01Speaker 2: I think it was just someone pulled— I do know.
- 1:23:06Speaker 2: He's cute.
- 1:23:06Speaker 3: He was on our show. We had Kelly and Mark
- 1:23:10Speaker 3: on our show Nightcap, which we did in New York
- 1:23:12Speaker 3: with Allie Wentworth. And, man, he was funny. He was charming.
- 1:23:17Speaker 3: He was a good actor.
- 1:23:18Speaker 2: He was handsome. Do you think they fuck as much
- 1:23:20Speaker 2: as they talk about screwing.
- 1:23:21Speaker 3: On the show? No, not at all. Because if you
- 1:23:23Speaker 3: look at her, and she's pretty and attractive, but she
- 1:23:27Speaker 3: is so waif. thin and tiny and everything. Physically, I
- 1:23:33Speaker 3: think he would hurt her.
- 1:23:34Speaker 2: No, I think they can bone.
- 1:23:37Speaker 3: She is a bone. That's literally all she is.
- 1:23:39Speaker 2: I think like anything, people get into a schtick and
- 1:23:44Speaker 2: it's become their little schtick. And now they can't stop
- 1:23:47Speaker 2: talking about it. And I think maybe the producers are like,
- 1:23:49Speaker 2: everyone loves it. They love to see that a marriage
- 1:23:51Speaker 2: has worked this long in Hollywood. So talk about your
- 1:23:54Speaker 2: daughter walking in on them and stuff. I'm just like.
- 1:23:58Speaker 3: I think it was for a book. Let me see.
- 1:24:01Speaker 2: What else I have. This was kind of interesting. Okay.
- 1:24:04Speaker 2: So this is Jennifer Garner. I know.
- 1:24:06Speaker 3: I saw this.
- 1:24:07Speaker 2: And page six says, Jennifer Garner was spotted in Santa
- 1:24:11Speaker 2: Monica Beach assisting a homeless man and even offering him
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: her own shoes. And the comments are what you would think.
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: Wow.
- 1:24:19Speaker 2: Paparazzi just happened to be there? Does he wear a
- 1:24:23Speaker 2: size eight woman's? Yeah. Like, really?
- 1:24:26Speaker 3: Well, and also those look like those orthopedic like Hoka shoes.
- 1:24:31Speaker 3: He can't even walk apparently. So why would he need
- 1:24:33Speaker 3: those shoes?
- 1:24:34Speaker 2: The reason why.
- 1:24:34Speaker 3: He's in a wheelchair.
- 1:24:35Speaker 2: I do believe Jennifer Carter is a good mother and
- 1:24:38Speaker 2: nice person. And, you know, get your Capital One card.
- 1:24:41Speaker 2: But I have always suspected that she calls the paparazzi.
- 1:24:47Speaker 2: Because back in the day when the kids were little,
- 1:24:49Speaker 2: she'd always be at the park, at the pumpkin patch,
- 1:24:53Speaker 2: at these. And I'm like, okay. You're a mom and
- 1:24:57Speaker 2: you live in a big property in the Palisades. Like
- 1:25:00Speaker 2: you don't have a little swing set.
- 1:25:01Speaker 3: I don't know if she calls, but she does know
- 1:25:03Speaker 3: that they're there and everything. You know, it's about being kind.
- 1:25:08Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:25:09Speaker 3: When people, when the paparazzi is, of course she doesn't like.
- 1:25:12Speaker 2: I believe she's kind when no one's looking either, but
- 1:25:14Speaker 2: I do believe this is way more. to set up.
- 1:25:17Speaker 3: I mean, the way to set up, look at this
- 1:25:20Speaker 3: photo and this, the people who are just listening and
- 1:25:23Speaker 3: not watching a video, like the homeless man is in
- 1:25:25Speaker 3: a wheelchair and she's kneeling in front of him, like
- 1:25:28Speaker 3: bending down in front of him, big smile on her face,
- 1:25:31Speaker 3: almost like she's about to measure his feet to make
- 1:25:33Speaker 3: sure his shoe, her shoes could fit his. And it's,
- 1:25:37Speaker 3: it's a little set up. And, you know, I went, I,
- 1:25:40Speaker 3: a homeless lady asked me to buy her a Chick-fil-A
- 1:25:42Speaker 3: sandwich yesterday. And I did. And I didn't, make a
- 1:25:45Speaker 3: big deal out of it.
- 1:25:46Speaker 2: You didn't film it?
- 1:25:47Speaker 3: No, I didn't. But now I'm thinking I should.
- 1:25:49Speaker 2: You didn't say, here's your sandwich.
- 1:25:51Speaker 3: No, I didn't. Trust me, there was a lot of that.
- 1:25:53Speaker 3: I was like, I'm not going to tell anyone.
- 1:25:55Speaker 2: I got you extra sauce. I got you extra sauce.
- 1:25:56Speaker 2: Did you like that?
- 1:25:57Speaker 3: I got Chick-fil-A sauce.
- 1:25:58Speaker 2: I didn't have to get you extra sauce.
- 1:26:00Speaker 3: I got you one of each sauce. They have a
- 1:26:02Speaker 3: lot of sauce at Chick-fil-A. But no, but the point is,
- 1:26:04Speaker 3: I just think, yeah, she knew, whether or not she
- 1:26:09Speaker 3: called the paparazzi, I don't know, but she definitely knew
- 1:26:11Speaker 3: that they were there and that this would be a
- 1:26:13Speaker 3: good photo op.
- 1:26:14Speaker 2: Also, that page six did it.
- 1:26:16Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:26:16Speaker 2: Why are they doing it? Why are they doing it
- 1:26:18Speaker 2: unless they had some type of relationship to do it?
- 1:26:20Speaker 3: You're right.
- 1:26:21Speaker 2: Brad, I really am enjoying you on Instagram. Oh, thank you.
- 1:26:25Speaker 2: I like your point of view.
- 1:26:26Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: Where can people follow you?
- 1:26:29Speaker 3: They can follow me at Brad Wallach, W-O-L-L-A-C-K, on Instagram.
- 1:26:34Speaker 3: I have a new podcast coming out, Heather. I'll plug that.
- 1:26:38Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:26:38Speaker 3: It's called Funny Energy.
- 1:26:40Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:26:40Speaker 3: I've tried to get you on it. You've big-timed me. Okay.
- 1:26:44Speaker 3: But it's okay. We can do it. We've had big
- 1:26:47Speaker 3: celebrities on. Good. But it's myself and this energy practitioner, Jackie,
- 1:26:55Speaker 3: and we do energy readings and healings with funny people
- 1:27:01Speaker 3: and comedians and stuff.
- 1:27:02Speaker 2: Awesome. When does that come out?
- 1:27:04Speaker 3: September 29th, I think.
- 1:27:06Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 1:27:07Speaker 3: So in a week or so. Wherever you get your podcast.
- 1:27:09Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:27:10Speaker 3: But yeah, but no, this is fun. I'm glad. Hopefully
- 1:27:13Speaker 3: I didn't drag this down too much. Next time.
- 1:27:16Speaker 2: We're going to go to lunch.
- 1:27:17Speaker 3: Okay. And we'll talk real.
- 1:27:19Speaker 2: And then I've got some real questions.
- 1:27:21Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:27:22Speaker 2: That I may or may never share the answers with.
- 1:27:24Speaker 3: Well, you better not on, if you want the answers,
- 1:27:26Speaker 3: then you better not share it on Juicy Scoop. Just kidding.
- 1:27:31Speaker 2: Love you. Bye.
- 1:27:32Speaker 4: Bye.
- 1:27:32Speaker 2: The car is beautiful. Where did you end up going
- 1:27:35Speaker 2: for it?
- 1:27:36Speaker 5: This exclusive place that Dad has connections with. They have
- 1:27:39Speaker 5: more cars for more dealerships than like anywhere else.
- 1:27:41Speaker 2: You have to put me in touch.
- 1:27:42Speaker 3: What's it called?
- 1:27:43Speaker 2: It's Dunaidial.
- 1:27:46Speaker 3: Where?
- 1:27:47Speaker 2: Dunaidial. There's an accent on the E.
- 1:27:51Speaker 3: Do you mean... Yes, I got it on Dundale Cars.
- 1:27:54Speaker 5: Lift?
- 1:27:54Speaker 2: Please. Are you going past Kimmage? Oh, Kimmage.
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: No.
- 1:27:59Speaker 2: Done deal, cars. You couldn't possibly go anywhere else.
